- 0:00[SPEAKER_02]: You can apply the concept of brand slaughter to what I was just talking about where they're answering the phone and instead of the response being, oh well, what kind of pizza do you want?
- 0:08[SPEAKER_02]: They're like, I don't know what I want.
- 0:09[SPEAKER_02]: You know, that is brand slaughter, right?
- 0:11[SPEAKER_02]: Because you're now pushing the decision back on the person who doesn't know what they need in the first place and they don't know what their options are.
- 0:18[SPEAKER_02]: So what are they going to do?
- 0:19[SPEAKER_02]: They're going to do anything, right?
- 0:20[SPEAKER_02]: So that creates brand slaughter.
- 0:23[SPEAKER_00]: Welcome to the Beat till you see it podcast, where we talk about taking messy action, knowing that perfect is boring.
- 0:30[SPEAKER_00]: I'm also Logan, Ply's instructor and fitness business coach.
- 0:33[SPEAKER_00]: I've trained thousands of people around the world, and the number one thing I see stopping people from achieving anything is self-doubt.
- 0:42[SPEAKER_00]: My friends, action brings clarity, and it's the antidote to fear.
- 0:48[SPEAKER_00]: Each week my guests will bring bold, executable, intrinsic, and targeted steps that you can use to put yourself first and be it till you see it.
- 0:58[SPEAKER_00]: It's a practice, not a perfect, let's get started.
- 1:05[SPEAKER_00]: Welcome back to the VTAC interview recap on my co-hosts in my frad and I are going to dig into the intuitive combo I have with David Corbin in our last episode.
- 1:12[SPEAKER_00]: If you have not yet listened to that one, you should go listen to that one.
- 1:16[SPEAKER_00]: It's really fun.
- 1:17[SPEAKER_02]: By sitting in conversation.
- 1:19[SPEAKER_00]: The way it started, it's quite hilarious.
- 1:21[SPEAKER_02]: The way it started, he's talking about when you and you said, who are you and what do you rock at?
- 1:26[SPEAKER_02]: He said, well, my late mother could never describe what I do for a living and she thought I just lauded money as my job.
- 1:36[SPEAKER_00]: But also, I forget, because in the episode, do we discover how he got on the show?
- 1:42[SPEAKER_00]: In the episode?
- 1:43[SPEAKER_02]: No.
- 1:43[SPEAKER_02]: No.
- 1:44[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 1:44[SPEAKER_02]: I can't end the room afterwards, so for those of you who are wondering.
- 1:48[SPEAKER_00]: Because I think we talked about it in the episode.
- 1:50[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 1:51[SPEAKER_02]: I'm actually going to share a little bit about that as we get further into this episode.
- 1:56[SPEAKER_02]: So hang on, stick around.
- 1:58[SPEAKER_02]: We'll talk about how do we connect with David Corbin in the first place.
- 2:02[SPEAKER_00]: Today is August seven, twenty five and today's days were not really aligned with the Beat Pod message.
- 2:08[SPEAKER_00]: So we're looking at tomorrow August eight where it will be International Allyship Day.
- 2:14[SPEAKER_00]: So International Allyship Day is celebrated annually on August eight.
- 2:18[SPEAKER_00]: This holiday dedicates the day to celebrating, promoting the power of allyship across the globe.
- 2:23[SPEAKER_00]: On this unique day, we come together to recognize the importance of staying up for one another, fostering inclusivity and building bridges of support and understanding.
- 2:31[SPEAKER_00]: Dictionary.com defines Allyship as a status or role of a person who advocates and actively works for the inclusion of a marginalized or politicized group in all areas of society, not as a member of that group but in solidarity with its struggles and point of view and under its leadership.
- 2:46[SPEAKER_00]: Genuine Allyship does not come with a special recognition, you're not going to get awards for confronting issues people feel live with every day.
- 2:52[SPEAKER_00]: Every day, we should be thinking about this because it's getting harder and harder for people to see other people as
- 3:00[SPEAKER_00]: human and deserving being worthy of living and having a life that they can have access to.
- 3:10[SPEAKER_02]: healthcare and housing and you know I just it's I think I think I I think we need to go one step higher than that when you have when you have leaders in a position of power that are using derogatory language yeah to anybody towards anybody yeah it gives other people permission to hold that view and what's happened in our society
- 3:34[SPEAKER_02]: in America right now, with the people who are in power, is that they have no regard for anybody else other than themselves.
- 3:43[SPEAKER_02]: And so they're using language that is inflammatory and dangerous.
- 3:47[SPEAKER_00]: Look, that sells on their donors.
- 3:49[SPEAKER_00]: They do care about who knows.
- 3:50[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think they care about their donors.
- 3:52[SPEAKER_02]: They only care about their donors money.
- 3:54[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 3:54[SPEAKER_02]: They don't care about anyone except for themselves.
- 3:57[SPEAKER_02]: When you use inflammatory language,
- 4:01[SPEAKER_02]: It creates division in our society across the board.
- 4:06[SPEAKER_02]: It creates fear.
- 4:07[SPEAKER_02]: It also gives permission for people to hold judgment of use or give excuses for other people who are doing terrible things, right?
- 4:16[SPEAKER_02]: And, you know, I don't think that everything was like figured out ten years ago.
- 4:21[SPEAKER_02]: either, you know, before we had a president who didn't give a shit, but I, you know, in the sense that like maybe before we were nice on the surface and racist underneath, you know, but, but now it's like all out in the open and people are openly, you know, the vitriol is killing me.
- 4:40[SPEAKER_02]: It's just so frustrating because there's no, it's not that nice at ease of the right thing.
- 4:46[SPEAKER_02]: There's no respect for human dignity, right?
- 4:50[SPEAKER_02]: And so even though we disagree with other people, it doesn't change the fact that they are people, right?
- 4:57[SPEAKER_02]: Except now we are changing our perspectives on that and we're alienating others.
- 5:03[SPEAKER_02]: So, you know, whether that is
- 5:06[SPEAKER_02]: you know, a whether that's politically or what did we say here, marginalized politicized group or a member of society, right?
- 5:15[SPEAKER_02]: So it could be political, you know, rhetoric or it could be a marginalized part of society, you know, or it could be racism or it could be another whole culture or another whole country.
- 5:26[SPEAKER_02]: You know, it doesn't matter.
- 5:27[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it's really, it's really, it can be really frustrating on the head.
- 5:32[SPEAKER_00]: I was saying that we're some of the gym and I said, oh, I'm not going to set a target.
- 5:35[SPEAKER_00]: My day goes, why?
- 5:36[SPEAKER_00]: And I said, well, you know, they are not supportive of DEI and my day goes, what's DEI?
- 5:40[SPEAKER_00]: And I said, okay, well, my with DEI was.
- 5:43[SPEAKER_00]: And I said, you bought under DEI.
- 5:46[SPEAKER_00]: You would be an older worker, which it's harder to get a job.
- 5:51[SPEAKER_00]: You are also a veteran.
- 5:54[SPEAKER_00]: Like, that's DEI.
- 5:56[SPEAKER_00]: Making sure that you are treated with what you're supposed to be treated with.
- 6:02[SPEAKER_00]: That's part of it.
- 6:03[SPEAKER_00]: I'm DEI.
- 6:04[SPEAKER_00]: I'm a female business owner.
- 6:05[SPEAKER_00]: Now, do we have other privileges?
- 6:08[SPEAKER_00]: Of course we do.
- 6:09[SPEAKER_00]: But that doesn't mean that what people I think don't understand is how they are, are the people that they're thinking that they dislike or that they're creating words around so they don't have to think that they're worthy.
- 6:22[SPEAKER_00]: So much of if they had the access in the right, you would have better access in the right.
- 6:27[SPEAKER_00]: You know, that we're recording this right now when the government is trying to get rid of Medicaid and they have been lying to people up and down all around that they're not going to Medicaid.
- 6:35[SPEAKER_00]: They're getting rid of it.
- 6:36[SPEAKER_00]: And here's what happens.
- 6:37[SPEAKER_00]: What that means is if Medicaid doesn't exist, you think that just because you're on Medicaid it won't affect you.
- 6:41[SPEAKER_00]: It absolutely will.
- 6:43[SPEAKER_00]: Because your hospital usually runs off the funds of Medicaid.
- 6:46[SPEAKER_00]: And so if the hospital doesn't have those funds, you might not have a hospital near you.
- 6:50[SPEAKER_00]: So just because you're not on Medicaid, doesn't mean you're not affected.
- 6:53[SPEAKER_00]: And I think like while I like this day so much, it's like we have to stop thinking that because we're different than people, like not only do they not matter, but like it's not gonna affect us if nothing bad things happen to them.
- 7:05[SPEAKER_00]: Everything is connected.
- 7:07[SPEAKER_00]: Everything is connected.
- 7:09[SPEAKER_02]: Like people are like to put a very specific example on it.
- 7:14[SPEAKER_02]: you know, with the the the abduction of farm workers that are happening in the fields.
- 7:21[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
- 7:22[SPEAKER_02]: You know, how do you think that's not going to affect your food supply?
- 7:26[SPEAKER_02]: It might not affect it today, but give it a couple of months.
- 7:30[SPEAKER_02]: You know, like when when ice camps out and puts up a raid in, you know, in a community,
- 7:36[SPEAKER_02]: Guess who doesn't go to work?
- 7:37[SPEAKER_02]: Anybody who is afraid, anybody who is afraid, like they arrested half the people at a meat packing plant.
- 7:43[SPEAKER_02]: And the next day, it's not like the other half just decided to show up.
- 7:47[SPEAKER_02]: No, only twenty percent of the original workforce showed up for work the following day, because the rest of the people were like, what if they come and arrest me?
- 7:54[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 7:55[SPEAKER_00]: And so that means your meat is going to be more expensive.
- 7:57[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 7:57[SPEAKER_00]: That affects you.
- 7:57[SPEAKER_00]: It affects us all.
- 7:58[SPEAKER_00]: Everyone.
- 7:59[SPEAKER_00]: And so like I
- 8:03[SPEAKER_00]: I really think that we need to take, I don't care what your religion is or if you believe in religion at all.
- 8:10[SPEAKER_00]: If we actually just follow like, that's a human fucking mean and they are worthy of living and they should have dignity and respect.
- 8:18[SPEAKER_00]: You know, and we would never want for them that to happen to them.
- 8:22[SPEAKER_00]: It happened to us.
- 8:24[SPEAKER_00]: Like, if you just look at that going, if you ever think I'm glad that's not me, that is a sign that you are sitting in a bit more privilege and you probably should just look at like, what can I do?
- 8:33[SPEAKER_00]: We can't solve the world's problems.
- 8:34[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not elected.
- 8:35[SPEAKER_00]: You're not elected.
- 8:36[SPEAKER_00]: If this fucking bill passes, we might not have elections.
- 8:38[SPEAKER_00]: But like, we have to act, what can I do?
- 8:41[SPEAKER_00]: How can I change this?
- 8:42[SPEAKER_00]: Can I be supportive of the people in my, what's my bubble of influence, right?
- 8:47[SPEAKER_00]: And so,
- 8:48[SPEAKER_00]: Not, I guess we'll get off our pedestal here in a second.
- 8:50[SPEAKER_00]: But like, truly part of being it till you see it, it will come to you if you love others.
- 8:56[SPEAKER_00]: And you care about others.
- 8:58[SPEAKER_00]: Not people pleasing.
- 8:59[SPEAKER_00]: It's not overworking.
- 9:01[SPEAKER_00]: It's none of that.
- 9:01[SPEAKER_00]: It's just like, if you love other, if you love yourself, you can love others.
- 9:04[SPEAKER_00]: And if you love others, like the world does change.
- 9:07[SPEAKER_00]: And I think maybe what I'm really saying is like, what the fuck?
- 9:10[SPEAKER_00]: Why don't people love themselves?
- 9:11[SPEAKER_00]: Because if they love themselves, I'd see other people as human beings too.
- 9:14[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 9:15[SPEAKER_00]: We're still on tour guys.
- 9:19[SPEAKER_00]: I promise you, we're having a good time in between the podcast on the news.
- 9:25[SPEAKER_00]: I promise you, I promise you, we're hugging people, we're having a good time.
- 9:28[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, August seventh, that means that we are in Canada, we're actually probably in Camloups today.
- 9:34[SPEAKER_02]: Tomorrow we got a day off, we're going to Banff.
- 9:36[SPEAKER_02]: I'm going to be up by Lake Louise and seeing the beautiful lake up there and then we're going to go the next day to Calgary and teach before coming back into the US in Montana.
- 9:46[SPEAKER_02]: where we're going to go see the beauty of relationship park.
- 9:50[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I've always wanted to see it.
- 9:51[SPEAKER_02]: I'm so excited that we're going to go up there.
- 9:53[SPEAKER_02]: And then yeah, we're going to hit my call Idaho on the way back home and teach.
- 9:58[SPEAKER_00]: I tell you that my family really, my family went to the tour and they sent my from my aunt, my aunt, my aunt and Jane, I'm like, and they saw the tour they saw in my call Idaho and my uncle goes,
- 10:07[SPEAKER_00]: You're gonna, you're gonna want to move there.
- 10:09[SPEAKER_00]: And I was like, oh, like a vacation home.
- 10:11[SPEAKER_00]: He's like, no, like you're gonna want to move there.
- 10:13[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm like, I don't love the snow.
- 10:14[SPEAKER_00]: So if they cashed in home, got it.
- 10:16[SPEAKER_00]: No did.
- 10:17[SPEAKER_00]: I'll say, Bob.
- 10:19[SPEAKER_02]: Well, I can't wait to see how you do it.
- 10:20[SPEAKER_00]: So he, all this is, say, like, pop your call.
- 10:23[SPEAKER_00]: Come, ever to come to pop your call.
- 10:24[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 10:25[SPEAKER_02]: And then meet us in Salt Lake.
- 10:26[SPEAKER_02]: And then we'll be back in Vegas.
- 10:27[SPEAKER_00]: Oh my god, what if people care of and with us?
- 10:30[SPEAKER_00]: You could do that.
- 10:33[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, they could.
- 10:33[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, we could have like a rowdy, four of us situated in like a band.
- 10:38[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 10:38[SPEAKER_02]: Going from show to show, it's possible.
- 10:41[SPEAKER_00]: Oh my god.
- 10:42[SPEAKER_00]: Oh my god.
- 10:42[SPEAKER_00]: What's that movie?
- 10:43[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, I know what you mean.
- 10:45[SPEAKER_00]: It's glasses.
- 10:46[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 10:47[SPEAKER_00]: Almost famous.
- 10:48[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, that's the one.
- 10:50[SPEAKER_00]: That's the one.
- 10:51[SPEAKER_00]: I want someone on great coat to compete with me and my great coat.
- 10:54[SPEAKER_00]: Anyways, we'll be, we're selling tour.
- 10:56[SPEAKER_00]: We hope to see you.
- 10:57[SPEAKER_00]: We're going to come back from tour unpacking.
- 10:59[SPEAKER_02]: Actually, there's still time.
- 11:00[SPEAKER_02]: If you
- 11:01[SPEAKER_02]: One of participating in the talk is you're not there.
- 11:03[SPEAKER_02]: The Calgary stop.
- 11:04[SPEAKER_02]: So in two days, there's going to be a virtual two virtual workshops that we're offering in Calgary.
- 11:10[SPEAKER_02]: One of them is creating flows on the tower Cadillac.
- 11:13[SPEAKER_02]: And the other one is your fast workshop.
- 11:15[SPEAKER_02]: So come join us virtually if you can't be there in person.
- 11:19[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 11:19[SPEAKER_02]: Just go to opc.me slash tour.
- 11:22[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
- 11:23[SPEAKER_00]: And then after we get home, we unpack.
- 11:25[SPEAKER_00]: We, you know, enjoy the last bits of summer in Las Vegas.
- 11:29[SPEAKER_00]: And we quickly, quickly cool off in the UK, where our two city tour, the mallet tour, which is business workshops in the beginning, and Pilates workshops in the back of the, the rest half the day and some Pilates workouts.
- 11:42[SPEAKER_00]: And you can go to OPC.
- 11:43[SPEAKER_00]: That means I should K to see if there's any spots left.
- 11:45[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 11:46[SPEAKER_00]: What time we're recording this is a couple spots left in Leeds and there's a couple spots left in Essex.
- 11:50[SPEAKER_00]: We did open up some so like you could just buy one workshop.
- 11:54[SPEAKER_00]: So maybe if you can't do it entire day off.
- 11:56[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 11:56[SPEAKER_00]: You want to come for this workshop.
- 11:58[SPEAKER_00]: We did open that up in the Essex location.
- 12:00[SPEAKER_00]: So go to bc.me slash UK.
- 12:02[SPEAKER_00]: And then we come home and we get cozy for a couple weeks.
- 12:06[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 12:07[SPEAKER_00]: Yep.
- 12:07[SPEAKER_02]: And then we're going to we're going to be in POT and Chicago by the way.
- 12:10[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
- 12:10[SPEAKER_00]: We're doing POT Chicago.
- 12:12[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 12:12[SPEAKER_02]: POT Chicago.
- 12:13[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
- 12:14[SPEAKER_00]: If you're hearing it right now, you can still get the early bird discount on POT Chicago.
- 12:20[SPEAKER_00]: So if they're spots left, you can go.
- 12:22[SPEAKER_00]: That's going to be at bounce body site.
- 12:24[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know the link.
- 12:24[SPEAKER_00]: So just go to bounce body.
- 12:26[SPEAKER_00]: Just Google POT Chicago.
- 12:27[SPEAKER_00]: Twenty twenty five.
- 12:28[SPEAKER_00]: It will come up.
- 12:29[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm leaving the Joe's Jims.
- 12:31[SPEAKER_00]: So
- 12:32[SPEAKER_00]: work you get to come and work out and I walk around and make sure that you're like kicking ass and from Chicago we fly to San Francisco from San Francisco to Singapore to Singapore to Cambodia Cambodia we lead our retreat oh yeah and in fact at the end of the Cambodia trip we may actually be teaching in Singapore we're trying to we're trying to do a thing in Singapore and we're going to see the Botanical Gardens
- 12:55[SPEAKER_00]: And then we're going to come home and be home for a little over a month and then we're back on tour again.
- 13:00[SPEAKER_00]: But we'll tell you more about that later.
- 13:02[SPEAKER_00]: So you want to go to Crosness retreats.com.
- 13:04[SPEAKER_00]: If you want to be on a retreat with us, we're taking a very small group this year.
- 13:08[SPEAKER_00]: And you do like it to spend a whole week with us and it's good enough.
- 13:12[SPEAKER_00]: It's a fucking lot of fun.
- 13:13[SPEAKER_02]: It's amazing.
- 13:14[SPEAKER_02]: It's a really good time.
- 13:15[SPEAKER_02]: So go to Crosness retreats.com.
- 13:17[SPEAKER_02]: Crosness retreats.com.
- 13:25[SPEAKER_02]: But before we get into this combo you have with David Corbin, however, let's dig into this audience question that we had, I couldn't actually get the entire name of the person from the screenshots.
- 13:35[SPEAKER_02]: So I'm pretty sure it was Rosie B, something something numbers, numbers from YouTube asked.
- 13:39[SPEAKER_02]: Hi, Leslie, I've heard you say that a spine character can be a good addition to map through your map practice if you don't have space or the budget for the big equipment at your home.
- 13:49[SPEAKER_02]: Can you or have you talked about the different options
- 13:52[SPEAKER_00]: For barrels or arcs, I did not realize that there were so many different choices, especially regarding the different options with angles and depths of the well Yeah, I love this we do have a video on like all the equipment Like literally every piece of equipment and I don't know if we did a video just on the barrels, but I know that we have
- 14:16[SPEAKER_00]: I know that in our mastering the basics on the barrels, you can hear a lot about barrels in that workshop that's on OPC.
- 14:23[SPEAKER_00]: But let me just channel a bit.
- 14:25[SPEAKER_00]: So the spine character, if you could only buy one barrel is the best one of the bunch because you have two options for the extension on that one and it allows you to do all the things you could do on a spine character.
- 14:36[SPEAKER_00]: If you have a small barrel,
- 14:38[SPEAKER_00]: That's nice if you have extra room.
- 14:41[SPEAKER_00]: That and also it's really only for those who are have a tighter back or are a bit more funcised.
- 14:49[SPEAKER_00]: The smaller barrels for that.
- 14:50[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, we don't have a YouTube video on just barrels.
- 14:54[SPEAKER_02]: Just some.
- 14:54[SPEAKER_00]: But there's that one video that has like every single piece of equipment.
- 14:58[SPEAKER_00]: It took us forever.
- 15:00[SPEAKER_00]: We filmed every single piece.
- 15:01[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, so we've got a couple.
- 15:04[SPEAKER_02]: One is called Pilates for beginners.
- 15:05[SPEAKER_02]: How to choose the right equipment.
- 15:07[SPEAKER_00]: We have, it's another one.
- 15:11[SPEAKER_00]: Anyways, I'll keep talking.
- 15:12[SPEAKER_00]: It's another one.
- 15:13[SPEAKER_00]: So it's, it's, it's why.
- 15:15[SPEAKER_02]: I'm self-bladdy's equipment.
- 15:16[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, that's the one.
- 15:21[SPEAKER_02]: That's the one.
- 15:23[SPEAKER_02]: I think a best-pladdy's equipment to improve your practice.
- 15:26[SPEAKER_02]: That's reform versus chair.
- 15:28[SPEAKER_00]: No, this is really boring now.
- 15:29[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, good times.
- 15:30[SPEAKER_02]: Anyway, just go into our YouTube channel.
- 15:33[SPEAKER_00]: Well, you didn't make it sound like it's easy to find.
- 15:35[SPEAKER_00]: It's existed.
- 15:36[SPEAKER_00]: It literally is every single we do a reformer.
- 15:38[SPEAKER_00]: I'm at.
- 15:39[SPEAKER_00]: We do the high chair.
- 15:39[SPEAKER_00]: We do the Cadillac.
- 15:40[SPEAKER_00]: We do all the barrels.
- 15:41[SPEAKER_00]: I explain each one.
- 15:43[SPEAKER_00]: So, but my point is, if you can only buy one, get a spine character.
- 15:46[SPEAKER_00]: If you're on the funcised, you can skip the spine character.
- 15:50[SPEAKER_00]: If you can only buy one thing and get the small barrel, but you will be limited a little bit.
- 15:54[SPEAKER_00]: If you can get two things and you're not so funcised or tight, then a spine character and a ladder barrel.
- 15:59[SPEAKER_00]: A lot of road does take up space and you specifically liked that I was saying that a spine correct or could help enhance your practice, your mat practice, if you don't have a space.
- 16:06[SPEAKER_00]: And the reason I say that is because you can do the arm series on there, the leg series on there and then do your mat practice or you could do your mat practice and your arm series and legs series.
- 16:13[SPEAKER_00]: You do swimming, you could do tease, you could do a sported teaser, you're having a hard time getting your hips overhead.
- 16:19[SPEAKER_00]: The spine correct was really, really helpful for that.
- 16:20[SPEAKER_00]: So I really do love that.
- 16:22[SPEAKER_00]: And so
- 16:23[SPEAKER_00]: I know I go into great detail about these things in our mastering the basics on the barrels workshop on OPC.
- 16:27[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
- 16:28[SPEAKER_00]: Fortunately, it's not free.
- 16:29[SPEAKER_00]: But if you buy our barrels flashcards, just a little hint.
- 16:32[SPEAKER_00]: There's a way to get that workshop on a discount.
- 16:35[SPEAKER_00]: It's very good.
- 16:36[SPEAKER_00]: And then I particularly like the Contrology brand because it is based off of the original.
- 16:41[SPEAKER_02]: pieces and it's like they went through a lot of effort to get the dig goes to dig up and it's what you can actually do is go to opc dot me slash perks opc dot me slash prks when you're on there a scroll down halfway and you'll see a list of all the equipment that we recommend and we actually have links to multiple arcs and barrels on that list
- 17:06[SPEAKER_02]: that, you know, so you can go see the ones that Leslie.
- 17:09[SPEAKER_00]: The control of the spine character is my ultimate favorite.
- 17:11[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, the control of the one that we have at our house, but not everybody.
- 17:17[SPEAKER_02]: You know, once the bigger heavier one, so we do have a couple of the arcs on there.
- 17:20[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, we do have those, and I will just say, the reason I like a controller is actually do like the weight.
- 17:26[SPEAKER_00]: The foam ones are great.
- 17:27[SPEAKER_00]: If you are a studio teaching a class and you have to have a bunch of their light weight, they're easy to stack, but when you are doing your exercise, you have to put little pads down oftentimes they slide around or they could be too light and they might move.
- 17:41[SPEAKER_00]: And so I prefer the contrology, and I know it's more than the East Coast Arc and the East Coast foam, and that's what ever once.
- 17:49[SPEAKER_00]: But I'm just saying it's a little more comfortable to have a little, it's a little cushion.
- 17:52[SPEAKER_00]: Anyways, you can send your questions in to be.pod.com slash questions.
- 17:56[SPEAKER_00]: You can text us at three one oh nine oh five five five three four, so haven't secured the number that we can say be a pod, but we'll get where we're working on it.
- 18:04[SPEAKER_00]: We just discovered it twenty minutes ago and we're recording the last episode.
- 18:06[SPEAKER_00]: So it's coming.
- 18:07[SPEAKER_00]: It's coming.
- 18:08[SPEAKER_00]: Send your wins in and your questions in to be a pod.com slash questions.
- 18:11[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, welcome back.
- 18:12[SPEAKER_02]: Now let's talk about Mr. David Corbin, David Corbin is a Wall Street Journal by selling author of fourteen books, a TEDx speaker and an award-winning inventor in healthcare and wellness, and he describes himself as an ex Woodstock attendee.
- 18:29[SPEAKER_02]: I know, they're original.
- 18:31[SPEAKER_02]: He's also father grandfather and husband.
- 18:33[SPEAKER_02]: He is known as the illuminator David specializes in helping individuals and companies face it, follow it and fix it to transform challenges into opportunities, which is pretty amazing actually his work centers on taking ownership except accessing your inner wisdom and learning to tune into the you to achieve prosperity and fulfillment.
- 18:55[SPEAKER_02]: Not included in our mini little bio that we wrote here is that David also is inventor stuff.
- 19:01[SPEAKER_02]: He created this thing called the Rejuvenation Station and it's a box, okay?
- 19:06[SPEAKER_02]: It's like a phone booth, but it's a little bit bigger because you sit down inside of it, okay?
- 19:10[SPEAKER_02]: But it's portable and you can move it around and you go in and you throw on some headphones and you immerse yourself in another world for just a few minutes.
- 19:19[SPEAKER_02]: Right, five to ten minutes.
- 19:21[SPEAKER_00]: They're like, I want to do this at the airport.
- 19:23[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, it would be, I mean, where he, where he's been selling them into his hospitals for the staff.
- 19:30[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, yeah, because the staff never gets a moment to take a breather and they could take five minutes and they come out and like he, he said he's, he's been able to measure their, their stats before they go in and out of this thing.
- 19:42[SPEAKER_02]: And he said, you know, where,
- 19:44[SPEAKER_02]: where there, you know, always in a high stress environment, this can help them with longevity, of their job, of their enjoyment, of their life, of their, of themselves.
- 19:52[SPEAKER_02]: And actually, that's how I met him when I was at an event, he had a booth.
- 19:57[SPEAKER_02]: And he had the rejuvenation station there.
- 20:00[SPEAKER_02]: And I just started, it was like the end of the day, everyone was milling around or leaving.
- 20:04[SPEAKER_02]: And I just started talking to him.
- 20:06[SPEAKER_02]: And it was so like, it was an easy conversation.
- 20:09[SPEAKER_02]: Obviously, he's like, he's very, very intelligent.
- 20:12[SPEAKER_02]: He's like, Oh, there's a lot of stories, a lot of fun to be around.
- 20:15[SPEAKER_02]: And we started talking about his tool that he made.
- 20:18[SPEAKER_02]: built.
- 20:19[SPEAKER_02]: And yeah, that's how we connected in the first place.
- 20:21[SPEAKER_00]: It was okay.
- 20:22[SPEAKER_00]: And I think I said this on the pod.
- 20:24[SPEAKER_00]: I usually pre-interview anyone who comes on.
- 20:26[SPEAKER_00]: If I don't, it's because like we already know each other, we're friends, or I was on their pod and I liked them.
- 20:34[SPEAKER_00]: You know what I mean?
- 20:34[SPEAKER_00]: Like it's very, it's not often that like there's just someone on my calendar who I've never, I don't know nothing about.
- 20:41[SPEAKER_00]: And so I'm looking at like the updates on his like file for the pod.
- 20:47[SPEAKER_00]: And I see a business card
- 20:48[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm like, this looks like Brad's thumb.
- 20:52[SPEAKER_00]: I think it's Brad's thumb.
- 20:54[SPEAKER_00]: Who is this guy?
- 20:55[SPEAKER_00]: And he didn't know you.
- 20:56[SPEAKER_00]: He didn't remember him.
- 20:57[SPEAKER_02]: No, he didn't remember him.
- 20:57[SPEAKER_02]: He certainly wouldn't know my name.
- 20:59[SPEAKER_02]: But like, he might remember us talking maybe.
- 21:01[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 21:01[SPEAKER_02]: So I phased.
- 21:02[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 21:03[SPEAKER_00]: It was hilarious.
- 21:04[SPEAKER_00]: And it was.
- 21:04[SPEAKER_00]: So I think it was after all that was said and done.
- 21:06[SPEAKER_00]: The whole thing was done a hit and on the record of the interview and he and our chatty and Brad comes in because I think it was laughing or whatever.
- 21:14[SPEAKER_00]: And that's what we discovered that you met him and like you should be on our show.
- 21:18[SPEAKER_00]: And he is like, OK.
- 21:22[SPEAKER_02]: Yes.
- 21:23[SPEAKER_00]: Anyways, I'm glad it worked out.
- 21:26[SPEAKER_00]: I really liked a lot of things to say.
- 21:27[SPEAKER_00]: I think this is an episode that there's a lot of nuggets.
- 21:30[SPEAKER_02]: A lot of nuggets and he said, yeah.
- 21:33[SPEAKER_00]: So you can't solve everything you face, but you can't solve anything unless you face it.
- 21:38[SPEAKER_00]: And of course, it's not so good.
- 21:40[SPEAKER_02]: It's so obvious, but like when you say it, you're like, oh, I
- 21:45[SPEAKER_02]: Am I avoiding things?
- 21:46[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 21:46[SPEAKER_02]: Great.
- 21:47[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 21:47[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 21:48[SPEAKER_00]: And he, he said, believes his secret sauce is being awake, aware alert.
- 21:52[SPEAKER_00]: And that kind of like, I think that that like probably what led to his mindset around it helped others avoid when that's where he's this his model face it, follow it, fix it.
- 22:01[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 22:01[SPEAKER_00]: You know, and so, and when you think about that in your and anything you're doing.
- 22:05[SPEAKER_00]: face, face it, follow it, fix it, and then it allows you to take more action.
- 22:10[SPEAKER_00]: It allows you to stop avoiding things.
- 22:12[SPEAKER_00]: It can be used in personal life and professional life.
- 22:15[SPEAKER_00]: It can be used in a project doesn't go well or a conversation that didn't go well.
- 22:18[SPEAKER_00]: I think it's just brilliant.
- 22:20[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, it's clear and concise.
- 22:22[SPEAKER_02]: It's something that you can remember.
- 22:23[SPEAKER_02]: When he was talking about how he works with these companies, he said, you can apply this personally to yourself or you can apply it to a team or an exasperation or a company face-to-follow fix it.
- 22:34[SPEAKER_02]: And he had a bunch of examples that I thought were really helpful.
- 22:38[SPEAKER_02]: And he talked about one company that he consulted for.
- 22:43[SPEAKER_02]: That rhymes with schmamanos, I think, is what he said.
- 22:46[SPEAKER_02]: And he said,
- 22:50[SPEAKER_02]: As they started to dig in, they started to realize that they're not a pizza company.
- 22:53[SPEAKER_02]: There are crisis management companies.
- 22:55[SPEAKER_02]: And he said it all came down to how they answer the phone and what they recommend.
- 22:59[SPEAKER_02]: And when they, when they, when they faced the problem, they had, and they followed it, they started to figure it out, then they fixed it.
- 23:06[SPEAKER_02]: And that was a fix.
- 23:07[SPEAKER_02]: And it's funny because, you know, we tell that all the time, like you are, you know, you're not quote unquote just a Pilates teacher, you know, end quote,
- 23:18[SPEAKER_02]: That's not enough.
- 23:19[SPEAKER_02]: You know, that's like people first off don't know what Pilates is second off.
- 23:23[SPEAKER_02]: They need more.
- 23:24[SPEAKER_00]: They used to, I used to think there would be a day when they know what it is.
- 23:27[SPEAKER_00]: And now, no.
- 23:29[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, that, that aside, that's not the point.
- 23:32[SPEAKER_02]: have their preconceived notion of what Pilates is, okay?
- 23:34[SPEAKER_02]: And so if you just say, oh, I'm a Pilates teacher, then you're trusting that they know what that actually means.
- 23:41[SPEAKER_02]: Right.
- 23:41[SPEAKER_02]: I was opposed to having a clear response of like, oh, I help such and such type of people do these things, you know, in their life through Pilates.
- 23:51[SPEAKER_02]: Now they're like, wow, I didn't know Pilates could help people that.
- 23:54[SPEAKER_02]: You know, and that, and you described me, I want that for me, right?
- 23:57[SPEAKER_02]: And so, when you start to face it, follow fix it, you might actually have a whole new view on what it is that you do.
- 24:05[SPEAKER_02]: You know, I thought that was pretty cool.
- 24:07[SPEAKER_00]: Well, I agree.
- 24:07[SPEAKER_00]: I loved it.
- 24:08[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 24:08[SPEAKER_02]: But one of the things that I really, like, first off, he's very quicky because he writes books, right?
- 24:14[SPEAKER_02]: So he's got fourteen books.
- 24:16[SPEAKER_02]: So every book, you know, he tries to make a short concise punchy, right, memorable.
- 24:21[SPEAKER_02]: And so,
- 24:22[SPEAKER_02]: Like that's the kind of guy that when you get him on a topic and especially if he knows a lot about the topic because he did a whole lot of research right that book, you know, you're going to get these kinds of things.
- 24:30[SPEAKER_02]: So one of his books he talks about is brand slaughter and I just started laughing because like what a visual right you're slaughtering your brand, you know, but but he talks about just simply actions that you're doing that are creating that are contradicting what you intended or like they're they're not bringing around
- 24:52[SPEAKER_02]: about the desired results.
- 24:53[SPEAKER_02]: And, you know, same thing.
- 24:55[SPEAKER_02]: Like, you could apply the concept of brand slaughter to what I was just talking about where they're answering the phone.
- 25:03[SPEAKER_02]: And instead of the response being, oh, well, what kind of pizza do you want?
- 25:06[SPEAKER_02]: They're like, I don't know what I want.
- 25:08[SPEAKER_02]: Instead of that, you know, that is brand slaughter, right?
- 25:10[SPEAKER_02]: Because you're now pushing the decision back on to person who doesn't know what they need in the first place and they don't know what their options are.
- 25:17[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 25:17[SPEAKER_02]: So what are they going to do?
- 25:18[SPEAKER_02]: They're going to do anything, right?
- 25:19[SPEAKER_02]: So that creates brand slaughter as opposed to
- 25:23[SPEAKER_02]: being suggestive and saying, oh, well, for people in your situation where it's chaos and you just need to sit right now, you should go with option number two and then they get to say, that sounds great because they just need help.
- 25:35[SPEAKER_02]: What's option number two and you can sell it.
- 25:37[SPEAKER_02]: And by the way, if you need this extra stuff, you can upsell them all that kind of thing, right?
- 25:41[SPEAKER_02]: So he said, you're either living your brand or your committing brand slaughter.
- 25:49[SPEAKER_02]: You know, he said when individuals or companies allow the brand or reputation be undermined or quote unquote killed by actions or behaviors that did not align with their desired image.
- 25:57[SPEAKER_02]: And, you know, he said he actually has all these acronyms and all this stuff and he like he like flipped through them and I didn't even follow them at all and you laughing.
- 26:06[SPEAKER_02]: He said, I've ADD so I don't know what you just said because I was stuck on the first one.
- 26:13[SPEAKER_02]: He said he created the following flow to teach companies and people how to maintain their own identity.
- 26:22[SPEAKER_02]: With the ABI to the SBI divided by the MBV, I don't remember.
- 26:27[SPEAKER_02]: But basically, he said, you take your intended brand descriptors, which is how you want to be described.
- 26:33[SPEAKER_02]: And then you audit the brand integrity.
- 26:35[SPEAKER_02]: You're assessing if you are living up to your intended brand descriptors.
- 26:39[SPEAKER_02]: So if this is what you say you're doing, are you actually doing it?
- 26:43[SPEAKER_02]: And then the third step is review your strategic brand initiative or SBI.
- 26:48[SPEAKER_02]: So these are the actions taken to close the gap between
- 26:52[SPEAKER_02]: your intentions and your actions, right?
- 26:57[SPEAKER_02]: And then finally you have when you do those three steps you're creating massive brand value, right?
- 27:03[SPEAKER_02]: The result of consistently applying those three steps.
- 27:07[SPEAKER_02]: So he said everything you do is either living into how you want to be described or it's not.
- 27:14[SPEAKER_02]: Just like that.
- 27:15[SPEAKER_02]: Just like that.
- 27:16[SPEAKER_00]: Just not.
- 27:16[SPEAKER_02]: We just solved it.
- 27:17[SPEAKER_00]: Yep.
- 27:18[SPEAKER_00]: And all sometimes we just need to hear like, it not sugarcoded in that way.
- 27:22[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 27:22[SPEAKER_00]: You know?
- 27:23[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, fascinating.
- 27:24[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, and he knows his stuff so well that he just like, bam, bam, bam, bam.
- 27:28[SPEAKER_00]: I know he really did it.
- 27:29[SPEAKER_00]: And I was just like, my, I was like, oh, I can't.
- 27:32[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, yeah, hold on.
- 27:32[SPEAKER_00]: I'm still over here.
- 27:34[SPEAKER_00]: What is that?
- 27:34[SPEAKER_00]: And the acronyms are really hard for me to remember all of them.
- 27:37[SPEAKER_00]: It's just like not.
- 27:38[SPEAKER_02]: I know, even though when's I just read, if I didn't have them in front of me, and I'm like, well,
- 27:42[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, yeah, yeah, no I and to be honest also running in the back of my mind with my ADHD was like who is this man?
- 27:52[SPEAKER_00]: I And I mean that like I love the whole interview with the whole time I'm like what the fuck is this guy?
- 27:58[SPEAKER_00]: Why is he?
- 28:01[SPEAKER_02]: I love that.
- 28:02[SPEAKER_02]: I think that's so fun.
- 28:03[SPEAKER_02]: Also, too, like, from what I met him to when the interview finally happened was months, months.
- 28:08[SPEAKER_02]: Like, six months, more I don't know.
- 28:10[SPEAKER_02]: Like, I was just named and I was like, you met him.
- 28:14[SPEAKER_00]: You went to that event like a year ago.
- 28:18[SPEAKER_00]: because summer of last year, and then I interviewed him like beginning of this year.
- 28:22[SPEAKER_00]: So it's definitely six months.
- 28:23[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, it's definitely six months.
- 28:25[SPEAKER_02]: So it was more than six months.
- 28:26[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 28:27[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, yeah.
- 28:28[SPEAKER_02]: Fascinating.
- 28:29[SPEAKER_02]: Well, anyway, stick around.
- 28:30[SPEAKER_02]: We got a little bit more to dig into from David Corbin.
- 28:34[SPEAKER_02]: So we'll be right back with us.
- 28:35[SPEAKER_02]: Be it action items.
- 28:36[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, welcome back.
- 28:37[SPEAKER_02]: Let's talk about those beat action items from David Corbin.
- 28:40[SPEAKER_02]: We've got bold, executable intrinsic or targeted actinize that we could take away from your cover with him.
- 28:46[SPEAKER_02]: David shared a metaphor, a metaphorical exercise.
- 28:49[SPEAKER_02]: He introduced during his TEDx talk using imaginary LSD, which I think is hilarious because the whole time he's talking groovy and talking about being a hippie and going to woodstock.
- 28:58[SPEAKER_02]: And he's like, yeah, I didn't save.
- 29:00[SPEAKER_02]: He told everyone in the TEDx audience, five hundred people.
- 29:03[SPEAKER_02]: He's like, I saved y'all some LSD from when I went to Woodstock, which who knows when that even was.
- 29:08[SPEAKER_02]: Like the sixties, babe.
- 29:09[SPEAKER_02]: Right, well, because they also had a new one in the nineties.
- 29:12[SPEAKER_02]: So I'm assuming he was talking about the sixties.
- 29:13[SPEAKER_00]: The sixties, the nineties was burned down to the ground.
- 29:16[SPEAKER_02]: It doesn't change the fact that he could have been there.
- 29:18[SPEAKER_02]: But he said, he said, you're going to take this imaginary LSD.
- 29:23[SPEAKER_02]: And I don't know what he passed out, but he actually passed something out.
- 29:25[SPEAKER_02]: So people literally, I pretty sure they took something.
- 29:28[SPEAKER_00]: It's like a little piece, I thought it's like a little piece paper.
- 29:30[SPEAKER_00]: And then I'll see like a little paper.
- 29:32[SPEAKER_02]: Like a tab.
- 29:33[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 29:33[SPEAKER_02]: Could be, I'm sure it comes in different forms.
- 29:35[SPEAKER_02]: But anyway, he said, you're going to, here's what's going to happen when you take this imaginary LSD.
- 29:40[SPEAKER_02]: You're going to imagine that your business can talk back to you.
- 29:45[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, because when you're an LSD.
- 29:47[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, things can happen.
- 29:48[SPEAKER_02]: He said, so here's what you're going to ask your business.
- 29:51[SPEAKER_00]: Quickly, I have not done LSD.
- 29:52[SPEAKER_00]: We have no idea what we're talking about.
- 29:55[SPEAKER_02]: He said,
- 29:57[SPEAKER_02]: Ask your business, what do you need me to do?
- 30:01[SPEAKER_02]: And who do you need me to be?
- 30:04[SPEAKER_02]: So he said, make two lists.
- 30:05[SPEAKER_02]: Job functions and character traits.
- 30:07[SPEAKER_02]: What do you need me to do?
- 30:08[SPEAKER_02]: And who do you need me to be?
- 30:09[SPEAKER_02]: He said, then get naked of ego.
- 30:12[SPEAKER_02]: He actually said, just just get naked.
- 30:14[SPEAKER_02]: But not with your clothes off.
- 30:15[SPEAKER_02]: That's he said, that's the easy part.
- 30:16[SPEAKER_02]: He said, the hard part is getting naked of your ego and rate yourself on a scale of one to ten.
- 30:23[SPEAKER_02]: across those, what do you need me to do and who do you need me to be?
- 30:26[SPEAKER_02]: He said identify the gaps and take actions to close them.
- 30:30[SPEAKER_02]: So.
- 30:31[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, LSD definitely can be a little piece of paper like a stamp.
- 30:35[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, can be like this.
- 30:35[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, I do remember like during the day or years of like be careful, like someone gives you like a little sticker that stick on your tongue and dissolve.
- 30:41[SPEAKER_00]: It can be in a pill form.
- 30:42[SPEAKER_00]: I am seeing this, but it like a lot of it's like sheets of like wild colors and like like, oh, do you remember the elephant in Winnie the Pooh?
- 30:53[SPEAKER_00]: The haphalums.
- 30:55[SPEAKER_00]: The haphalums.
- 30:57[SPEAKER_00]: The haphalums.
- 30:57[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, the haphalums.
- 30:59[SPEAKER_00]: They think they're called.
- 31:00[SPEAKER_00]: They were kind of like spooky and weird.
- 31:02[SPEAKER_00]: I think when either poo is on LSD.
- 31:04[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, yeah, you're right.
- 31:05[SPEAKER_00]: Haphalums.
- 31:06[SPEAKER_02]: Haphalums.
- 31:06[SPEAKER_00]: Haphalums.
- 31:07[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, looking at this, maybe he was on maybe he took LSD in my cartoon.
- 31:11[SPEAKER_00]: You know, they always were like subliminally into something.
- 31:14[SPEAKER_00]: Anyways, we are off topic.
- 31:16[SPEAKER_02]: Well, okay, David Corbin did his TEDx talk, called Woodstock Wisdom in January of twenty twenty three.
- 31:21[SPEAKER_02]: So you're welcome to go watch it.
- 31:22[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 31:22[SPEAKER_02]: I'm sure it's a trip.
- 31:24[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe pun intended.
- 31:26[SPEAKER_02]: But he said, when you can do this, when you can compare, when you can let go of your ego and you can actually take rate yourself and then be able to take action on that.
- 31:34[SPEAKER_02]: You can no longer complain about market conditions and competition.
- 31:38[SPEAKER_02]: You take control of the differences, the distances, and you close those gaps that your business told you you need to close.
- 31:45[SPEAKER_02]: They said as you do, you increase your competence, which brings up your confidence, which brings up your competence, which brings up your confidence, and it's a cycle.
- 31:54[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 31:55[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 31:56[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 31:56[SPEAKER_00]: What about you?
- 31:57[SPEAKER_00]: What about you?
- 31:57[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 31:57[SPEAKER_00]: This is really fun because he says it doesn't journal and I was like, yeah.
- 32:02[SPEAKER_00]: because I always tell people like, don't turn all, but we have the people who've said to turn all.
- 32:07[SPEAKER_00]: Since episode, like, fifty have done a really good job, because I tell them, you better tell us if I can turn all, but he said he meditates.
- 32:13[SPEAKER_00]: And I was like, okay, like, because I have a hard time meditating and he said, so he shared his process.
- 32:18[SPEAKER_00]: He said, you sit down with a piece of paper and you write an issue or a question at the top.
- 32:23[SPEAKER_00]: So peace paper, issue or question at the top.
- 32:26[SPEAKER_00]: You set your timer for twenty-two minutes.
- 32:29[SPEAKER_00]: And then while we're in a meditative state with a question at the top, you write with your eyes closed.
- 32:35[SPEAKER_00]: And this allows the download of insights to come through from your unconscious mind and universal consciousness on to the paper.
- 32:42[SPEAKER_00]: And so the goal as you dwell upon the question and you let your intuition provide answers.
- 32:47[SPEAKER_00]: So because you can't see it, you can't self edit.
- 32:50[SPEAKER_02]: Right.
- 32:51[SPEAKER_00]: He must have great hand writing.
- 32:53[SPEAKER_02]: No, I'm sure he's writing over top of his own stuff.
- 32:56[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 32:56[SPEAKER_02]: It really doesn't matter.
- 32:57[SPEAKER_02]: You can literally write in the same spot.
- 32:58[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 32:59[SPEAKER_02]: Right.
- 32:59[SPEAKER_02]: Because the point of it is not for you to go back and read it later.
- 33:02[SPEAKER_02]: The point of it is to get it out of your head.
- 33:05[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 33:05[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 33:05[SPEAKER_00]: So he, well, it's kind of like morning pages, but with your eyes closed.
- 33:08[SPEAKER_00]: So he said the answer to everything you got is already within you.
- 33:11[SPEAKER_00]: Don't tune into YouTube, tune into you.
- 33:13[SPEAKER_00]: To another clip.
- 33:16[SPEAKER_00]: I was like, this is so much fun.
- 33:18[SPEAKER_00]: This is a great interview.
- 33:19[SPEAKER_00]: Who is he?
- 33:21[SPEAKER_00]: tune into you.
- 33:23[SPEAKER_00]: You know a lot more than you give yourself right at four and I just if you if you really haven't listened to it you've got to listen to it.
- 33:30[SPEAKER_00]: I'm telling you I'm a joke that I'm like who's this guy but like a bit like a fourteen books a great TEDx talk it's so there's a really great conversation and it's fun to meet him in person even if you buy nothing out of a stuff like if you just like listen over and over again to like the things he's saying you're you're going to like change your life because if you just think about like am I an alignment
- 33:51[SPEAKER_00]: with my brand or my creating brand slaughter.
- 33:55[SPEAKER_00]: What if you could solve your problems with just writing it down and then writing it over top with your eyes closed?
- 34:00[SPEAKER_00]: I think this is really cool.
- 34:01[SPEAKER_00]: So I'm less a Logan.
- 34:03[SPEAKER_02]: And I'm Brad Crowell.
