And then you know, we obviously don't get a spring break, so. Yeah. It's not like. Mom. My calendar. 00:02:34:18 - 00:02:58:15 Savannah Right? We we can't wait to open up those gates and let everyone's families come through. And enjoy. We've been gearing up all off season. Travis and Emily, I got to give it to them. They've been working really hard to make it a beautiful place to do the repairs that we need to. We've rethought some of our food menu items, and yesterday I walked in and we had the bucket going, and it was just a beautiful sight. 00:02:58:15 - 00:02:59:00 Savannah So. 00:02:59:00 - 00:03:06:08 MAK Okay, can you give us a little preview? What's what's your new favorite food item or is that. Yeah. On the down low. Okay. 00:03:06:08 - 00:03:13:21 Savannah I have two things actually. We have a family bundle out so you get a pizza and for drinks. For. 00:03:13:27 - 00:03:15:23 MAK I've heard the pizza there. It's, Yeah. 00:03:15:27 - 00:03:33:07 Savannah Yeah, that's that's our biggest seller. Everyone loves that. Okay, I lied, I actually have three things. And then our we upgraded our fries, and when we announced that to the staff, they literally hit parade. They love these fries. So I'm. 00:03:33:07 - 00:03:33:16 MAK A fry. 00:03:33:16 - 00:03:48:05 Savannah Girl. I know, me too. Me too. So extra crispy. We're so excited about that. Extra crispy. Yes. Yes. We're so excited about that. And then I think our third thing, my third thing is our new Dippin Dots flavor. 00:03:48:07 - 00:03:49:03 MAK What is it? 00:03:49:06 - 00:03:50:19 Savannah Is it doctor Pepper? 00:03:50:20 - 00:03:52:17 MAK Shut up. I've been seeing that every. 00:03:52:18 - 00:03:54:03 Savannah Yeah. Doctor. 00:03:54:05 - 00:03:55:13 MAK Dippin dots. 00:03:55:16 - 00:04:02:28 Savannah Yeah. And I believe it's the first Dippin Dots flavor without any artificial flavor like dyes. Yeah. 00:04:02:28 - 00:04:08:21 MAK How cool is that? Yeah, that's a big trend right now. That's a good trend. Yes. I love that you're hopping on this. 00:04:08:23 - 00:04:17:01 Savannah I know we're so excited about it. So when our rep said that we could get those in when you said absolutely said they came in two days ago, I unloaded it myself. 00:04:17:04 - 00:04:19:18 MAK And maybe you guys had to try them or. 00:04:19:19 - 00:04:20:10 Savannah No, not yet. 00:04:20:10 - 00:04:21:23 MAK Not yet. Okay. Yeah. All right. 00:04:21:23 - 00:04:26:04 Savannah That's fair. Saving that for opening day. Bad luck to open up Dippin Dots before opening Day. 00:04:26:09 - 00:04:32:04 MAK Okay. All right, I stand corrected. I guess that's why I don't work there. Okay, so Saturday's opening day. 00:04:32:09 - 00:04:32:23 Savannah Yes. 00:04:32:23 - 00:04:35:16 MAK And you'll be open every day during spring break? 00:04:35:16 - 00:04:36:24 Savannah Yes. 1030 to 5. 00:04:36:25 - 00:04:41:13 MAK 1030 to 5. Okay. So then after spring break, what happens until summer? 00:04:41:16 - 00:05:05:08 Savannah So we're going to go to weekends only, right. So Saturdays and Sundays again 1030 to 5 season passholders can get in at 10 a.m.. Yeah. For playground only. Get in early, get your seats, get ready for the day. Yeah. Me too. And then, that's going to be Saturdays and Sundays and then when summer hits. I believe summer's first official day is on a Friday this year. 00:05:05:12 - 00:05:06:03 MAK I like it. 00:05:06:03 - 00:05:07:15 Savannah Open seven days a week. 00:05:07:17 - 00:05:20:01 MAK I love that. And you guys have more than, like just the water park side. But even on the water park side you've got regular chairs. Then you have the what do you call them, cabanas. 00:05:20:01 - 00:05:26:12 Savannah Oh yes. Our cabanas, our fun Bella's and our clam shells. So those are the rentals that we offer. 00:05:26:13 - 00:05:28:00 MAK The clam shells are the big. 00:05:28:02 - 00:05:49:00 Savannah Umbrella ones that you would see on a beach. Technically, yeah. Those are big sellers, people. People love to hang out in those because they're really close to the playground. And you can watch your little ones. Okay. Umbrellas are my personal favorite. I think those are great. You get four lounge chairs and a big, like, fun brella over you. 00:05:49:02 - 00:05:49:14 Savannah Yep. 00:05:49:15 - 00:05:52:08 MAK And again. Safety. Yes. 00:05:52:10 - 00:06:00:18 Savannah Yes. Too much, too much sun is no fun, as we like to say. And then we have our cabanas and birthday parties. 00:06:00:20 - 00:06:04:08 MAK Ooh. Maybe I'll have my birthday party. You should, 00:06:04:11 - 00:06:11:28 Savannah You should you you get two pizzas, 20, 20 tickets to the waterpark and. Yeah. 00:06:11:28 - 00:06:12:20 MAK Wow. 00:06:12:23 - 00:06:13:15 Savannah 00:06:13:18 - 00:06:14:11 MAK That's cool. 00:06:14:11 - 00:06:16:29 Savannah You get chips, ice cream vouchers. 00:06:17:01 - 00:06:22:14 MAK Pizza, chips, ice cream. Yes. All of my favorite foods. Well, and crispy fries. 00:06:22:14 - 00:06:23:18 Savannah And the new crispy, fresh and. 00:06:23:19 - 00:06:27:05 MAK Okay. The Dippin Dots. Okay. Yes. All my favorite food groups right there. 00:06:27:05 - 00:06:29:15 Savannah Yes. 00:06:29:17 - 00:06:38:07 MAK Okay. What else? We did spring break. Then we talked about summer. We talked about all your stuff. There's a whole nother side to the water park. Well, there is the facility. I'll say. 00:06:38:08 - 00:06:41:22 Savannah Yeah, our 50 meter competitive pool. 00:06:41:25 - 00:06:44:24 MAK Isn't many, many days. You haves. There you. 00:06:44:24 - 00:06:46:21 Savannah Have. I've seen you on the pool deck. 00:06:46:24 - 00:06:54:21 MAK Just to be clear, I was not swimming. I can swim. Yes, but I was on the pool deck as a, supporter. 00:06:54:21 - 00:06:56:27 Savannah Yes, yes, a big fan. 00:06:57:00 - 00:06:58:12 MAK Yes. The kids are in the water. 00:06:58:12 - 00:07:07:29 Savannah Yeah. So we have. Oh, let me think. Two USA swimming teams, a USA water polo team, USA diving. 00:07:08:01 - 00:07:10:01 MAK Where those really wear those things on their ears. 00:07:10:03 - 00:07:13:13 Savannah Yeah, they do okay. They do. And 00:07:13:15 - 00:07:15:00 MAK Earmuffs. But for the water. 00:07:15:01 - 00:07:17:17 Savannah Yeah. Yeah. Protective. 00:07:17:23 - 00:07:18:06 MAK Okay. 00:07:18:06 - 00:07:22:27 Savannah They, they get a little rowdy. Yes. Yes. If you've ever watched water polo. 00:07:23:03 - 00:07:25:03 MAK It's like, sort of they're very feisty. 00:07:25:07 - 00:07:26:29 Savannah They are, they are. 00:07:27:01 - 00:07:28:26 MAK I didn't I don't think I knew we had a water polo. 00:07:28:26 - 00:07:30:17 Savannah They make great lifeguards though. 00:07:30:19 - 00:07:31:24 MAK That makes a lot of sense. 00:07:31:24 - 00:07:46:14 Savannah They do. And then, our USA artistic swimming team, Guardian synchro. They just had a huge zone championship meet. So girls from all over the country came, 400 athletes and 75 coaches. Yeah. 00:07:46:17 - 00:07:54:06 MAK That's incredible. And what a big boost to the economy too. Oh yeah. So that side is, is attracting. Yeah. Families from all. 00:07:54:06 - 00:07:55:09 Savannah Over. Absolutely. 00:07:55:14 - 00:08:05:15 MAK How cool. We just had an arena on the pond last week and she was talking about, you know, all different things that tourism does. But one of the things it's the sporting events. Right. 00:08:05:15 - 00:08:17:23 Savannah So we have we have a lot this this year we're hosting another synchronized swimming meet. We're hosting Special Olympics and one of their meets. Really? Yes we are. 00:08:17:24 - 00:08:19:05 MAK Have we ever had that before? 00:08:19:05 - 00:08:36:16 Savannah Yeah, we hosted them last year too. We're hosting a couple meets with our USA swimming teams. They both have one on the docket, and then we are. I feel like I'm booking something in that pool every day. We have nine scuba pro boats. 00:08:36:20 - 00:08:37:17 MAK Nine scuba. 00:08:37:17 - 00:08:41:18 Savannah Program. Yeah, we we are home to like 400 athletes. 00:08:41:24 - 00:08:45:13 MAK Wow. And then you can also just do regular laps when they're right. 00:08:45:17 - 00:08:45:29 Savannah Yeah. 00:08:46:00 - 00:08:49:28 MAK So people like me could get in the water and swim, but. 00:08:49:28 - 00:08:51:22 Savannah Right. Yeah. We're absolutely. 00:08:51:22 - 00:08:54:13 MAK There. I'm not going to do that to anyone. Yeah. 00:08:54:16 - 00:09:02:20 Savannah We're we're we're really dedicated to providing that recreational and fitness and leisure side. And I feel like you get all of that on Sailfish. 00:09:02:25 - 00:09:04:04 MAK Yeah you definitely do. Yeah. 00:09:04:04 - 00:09:07:01 Savannah You have the water park and then you. Oh yes of. 00:09:07:01 - 00:09:09:20 MAK Course. So you can work off whatever you. 00:09:09:20 - 00:09:12:26 Savannah Yeah a counter you know balances it. 00:09:12:29 - 00:09:20:09 MAK I like it. Okay. So that's both sides of that. What else. Swim lessons. Yes. Swim lessons. Okay. Talk to us. 00:09:20:09 - 00:09:35:23 Savannah Yes. So we have swim lessons from. Well first of all swim lessons are near and dear to my heart. That's that's my bread and butter and aquatics, I love it. I've done my whole master's thesis was actually on swim lessons. Yeah. 00:09:35:25 - 00:09:44:16 MAK And this is, of course, years ago, obviously. But my, I guess, was a swim instructor. And what a rewarding. 00:09:44:18 - 00:09:46:06 Savannah Oh my gosh. 00:09:46:09 - 00:09:47:11 MAK Career. Really? 00:09:47:11 - 00:09:55:27 Savannah Yeah, it I, I love it. I actually just became a water safety instructor trainer. So all of our guys are now trained in-house. 00:09:55:29 - 00:09:57:04 MAK Oh that's fantastic. 00:09:57:04 - 00:10:08:01 Savannah Yeah. So it actually gave us an opportunity to, I've never been able to put more than six through the class. And this year I have eight new instructors plus our returning ones. 00:10:08:02 - 00:10:08:15 MAK Incredible. 00:10:08:20 - 00:10:10:08 Savannah Yeah, we're really excited. 00:10:10:08 - 00:10:17:21 MAK Look at your staff. And I think your lifeguards are also trained in-house. Is that true? Yeah. So you look at the safety aspect of all of your employees. 00:10:17:22 - 00:10:18:08 Savannah It's a lot. 00:10:18:08 - 00:10:21:01 MAK And what they bring to the community. 00:10:21:03 - 00:10:47:08 Savannah Yeah. So, our water safety instructors are offering lessons from parent child aquatics. So that's six months to approximately three years. And it's almost like a mommy and me class. Yep. Yeah. It's it's really fun. And then, my son's actually he he was the little model. Yes, yes. So he came in for a training with our eyes, fell asleep. 00:10:47:08 - 00:10:49:17 Savannah So he wasn't the the best product. 00:10:49:19 - 00:10:51:12 MAK Floating on his back? Yes. Okay. 00:10:51:20 - 00:10:57:02 Savannah Literally fell asleep floating on his back while we were practicing our holds. I couldn't believe it. And, 00:10:57:04 - 00:10:58:20 MAK So very comfortable with you. 00:10:58:20 - 00:11:21:15 Savannah Guys, I guess. So he felt safe. And then we have our preschool aquatics for. Which is for children 4 to 5 years old. Yep. And that is we just opened up preschool three. So for those that are a little bit more advanced, they can enroll in preschool three. It's a little bit more challenging than those introductory levels once in two years. 00:11:21:18 - 00:11:31:08 Savannah And then we also have learned to swim, which is for children six years old to 12 years old. And that is level one through level three. 00:11:31:11 - 00:11:32:11 MAK That's incredible. 00:11:32:15 - 00:11:34:02 Savannah Yeah. 00:11:34:04 - 00:11:35:17 MAK Just in Florida and in. 00:11:35:17 - 00:11:36:18 Savannah Our community, it's so important. 00:11:36:19 - 00:11:49:01 MAK The, the, the, the stories that we hear, people not knowing how to swim. Yeah. It's just it has got to be to me, like you said, near and dear to my heart. Critical, safety skill. 00:11:49:05 - 00:12:02:20 Savannah Right. And then we're also offering, you know, we saw that in the community. It was a need. And we decided to expand our swim lesson offerings. So this year, we're also offering Saturday Swim lessons for the first time. 00:12:02:22 - 00:12:05:06 MAK Okay. Those are going to fill up really quick. 00:12:05:06 - 00:12:09:27 Savannah Yeah, they're very limited. So make sure if you're interested you go ahead and sign up now okay. 00:12:09:27 - 00:12:20:08 MAK So we're going to put all that information down in our show notes. So yeah folks can see it. And I will get that info from you. Yeah. What else are lifeguards. Lifeguards. Yes. 00:12:20:08 - 00:12:40:04 Savannah Oh, I'm so proud of I'm so proud of our staff. We have 130 seasonal staff, and. Wow. Yeah, we're the largest youth employer, Martin County. Wow. That's. Yeah. That's fantastic. Yeah, yeah, it's. And they keep things fun. I'm not sure if you've watched our Instagram recently. 00:12:40:11 - 00:12:42:01 MAK Yes, I saw the, 00:12:42:04 - 00:12:42:12 Savannah Yeah. 00:12:42:12 - 00:12:43:09 MAK Surfing safari. 00:12:43:09 - 00:12:55:28 Savannah What? They love Instagram days. They love when, Nick for marketing comes in and they love it. They have and they truly love working at Sailfish Splash. How could. 00:12:55:28 - 00:12:56:26 MAK You not? 00:12:56:29 - 00:12:57:21 Savannah Yeah. 00:12:57:21 - 00:12:58:12 MAK It's, pretty. 00:12:58:12 - 00:13:14:08 Savannah Big. We just had our welcome back orientation. And some of them we see year round. Yeah. Because we're open on competition side year round. But some of them, we're coming back in for the first time since we closed down in September. And the first thing they said was I missed you guys. Yeah. 00:13:14:10 - 00:13:15:07 MAK Welcome home. Right. 00:13:15:07 - 00:13:15:29 Savannah Yeah. 00:13:16:02 - 00:13:16:27 MAK Oh that's great. 00:13:16:27 - 00:13:19:21 Savannah So our lifeguards are really great. 00:13:19:23 - 00:13:20:26 MAK Looking to hire new life. 00:13:20:26 - 00:13:33:17 Savannah Oh, we are, we're looking to hire concessions and lifeguards. Okay. Our lifeguards are really well trained. I think that there is something special about being on a lifeguard staff because you're learning lifesaving skills. 00:13:33:17 - 00:13:46:04 MAK Yes, and that's something that translates well. You carry it with you throughout the entire life. But throughout the community, it's not like they're just lifeguards. They're right. You know, they're watching wherever they are. 00:13:46:04 - 00:13:46:25 Savannah Exactly. 00:13:46:26 - 00:13:52:27 MAK I feel like, you know, no matter your age, race you have, that you are always paying attention to what's going on. 00:13:52:27 - 00:14:04:28 Savannah I've definitely learned lessons from the workplace that I've carried with me, and I've had to use in real life scenarios. Yep. And so there's a life skill there, and they really care about their. 00:14:04:28 - 00:14:08:27 MAK Jobs, like the critical thinking piece, right? Plus problem. 00:14:08:27 - 00:14:32:07 Savannah Solving. Yeah. And they're constantly running drills. We do continuous training. So in order to be a lifeguard, you have to have four hours of continuous training every month. So they come into training, they're ready to work. They're running their drills, and it's really paid off. They get exceeds from Ellis and Associates, our certification organization. Almost on all of their audits. 00:14:32:10 - 00:14:38:00 Savannah I know they're really good. Thank you, thank you. Yeah, they're they're doing great to. 00:14:38:00 - 00:14:39:14 MAK Have a good leader. 00:14:39:16 - 00:14:45:27 Savannah I like to be so. Yeah. Emily, too. She's. She's really revamped our in-service training. 00:14:46:04 - 00:14:49:15 MAK I think we spoke with her last year when we were up. 00:14:49:17 - 00:14:50:06 Savannah Yeah. 00:14:50:08 - 00:14:50:19 MAK Yes. 00:14:50:19 - 00:15:08:08 Savannah Yeah, yeah. So she she really makes sure that those in-service, are realistic, that they're training to what the goal is and that, I, I think what I respect the most about those guys is that they're constantly trying to help each other be better. 00:15:08:10 - 00:15:10:29 MAK And that you can't ask for much more than that in a workplace. 00:15:10:29 - 00:15:23:28 Savannah No, no.
