- 0:00Speaker 1: I with Alexi Napola and Marisa Patton, an iHeartRadio podcast.
- 0:07Speaker 1: Oh hey, hi, amigo, has your week been so far?
- 0:13Speaker 2: I've been busy. I've been busy. I'm usually busy, but
- 0:16Speaker 2: you know, busy's good. But I'm feeling like I'm busy.
- 0:20Speaker 2: I'm really good at that, you know. That's my therapy,
- 0:22Speaker 2: being busy. It is, Oh my god, I find it
- 0:25Speaker 2: so annoying.
- 0:27Speaker 1: Oh my god. No. I love to be on the
- 0:30Speaker 1: go physically and mentally. It's very therapeutic for me. You know.
- 0:35Speaker 2: Therapy for me is relaxing. Very good at relaxing, and
- 0:39Speaker 2: when I have too much stuff coming at me, then
- 0:42Speaker 2: I freak out. I'm just not the woman I used
- 0:44Speaker 2: to be. I'm on a different path.
- 0:48Speaker 1: Okay, well that's good too. We got to embrace every
- 0:52Speaker 1: every stage in our lives.
- 0:53Speaker 2: Absolutely every you know, there's yeah, different stages going all
- 0:58Speaker 2: the time. Every decade. I haven't.
- 0:59Speaker 1: I feel like mine is always that I'm really looking
- 1:02Speaker 1: forward to, like my relaxing and and just doing nothing.
- 1:06Speaker 2: That's going to come. I think I'm able to do
- 1:09Speaker 2: that because I don't have children. You know, you have
- 1:14Speaker 2: you have the kids.
- 1:15Speaker 1: My kids. I have the beauty bar. Yeah.
- 1:18Speaker 2: Business.
- 1:19Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm also looking for somebody to move to quick
- 1:22Speaker 1: you know, not quickly soon. You know, my my one
- 1:26Speaker 1: year lease is expiring. It's coming to an end.
- 1:29Speaker 2: Yeah, I know you're happy about that, and I'm happy I.
- 1:32Speaker 1: Am, and I'm happy that you know what I love.
- 1:35Speaker 1: I think my first of all, I was a beautiful day.
- 1:37Speaker 1: I went to actually look at a few apartments earlier today,
- 1:40Speaker 1: and it's such a beautiful day here in Miami. We
- 1:43Speaker 1: could have picked up better day to look at apartments.
- 1:46Speaker 1: And you know, they're all on the beach, you know,
- 1:48Speaker 1: on the water, so we use are spectacular and we're
- 1:51Speaker 1: so blessed to live in this beautiful city. And yeah,
- 1:55Speaker 1: I don't want to go anywhere.
- 1:57Speaker 2: I miss views. In my entire life where we lived,
- 2:00Speaker 2: I've had a view. This is the first time I
- 2:02Speaker 2: don't have a video since you know I'm here with
- 2:05Speaker 2: Blue Bear. Mm hmmm hmm.
- 2:07Speaker 1: Well you have your backyard is a good view, your
- 2:10Speaker 1: pool house, and yeah, I like to see the ocean
- 2:13Speaker 1: when I wake up. There's something about it that's just exhilarating,
- 2:17Speaker 1: and you want to go conquer the day. I think
- 2:18Speaker 1: that's why I don't want to go conquer the day
- 2:20Speaker 1: because I look in the back and I'm like, I
- 2:21Speaker 1: feel like I'm in a jungle and I don't feel inspired.
- 2:25Speaker 1: We can train, you can come to my place and
- 2:28Speaker 1: enjoy the beach and the water.
- 2:30Speaker 2: Yeah, and where are you going to go? You want
- 2:32Speaker 2: to come here to the jungle, and I'm gonna go.
- 2:34Speaker 1: Oh, you know, the jungle's good too. So yeah, I've
- 2:37Speaker 1: been very busy this morning.
- 2:39Speaker 2: Good for you. Good.
- 2:41Speaker 1: You know what I'm done here. I'm going to the
- 2:42Speaker 1: beauty bar.
- 2:43Speaker 2: Yes, you have a face of the face right now
- 2:45Speaker 2: of a person that looks very productive.
- 2:48Speaker 1: Mm hmmm. I have on that productive face every day.
- 2:52Speaker 1: The choice but to put on that face. Speaking of
- 2:57Speaker 1: putting on faces, did you watch the Oscars? I did.
- 3:00Speaker 1: I wasn't going to miss that. I love the Oscars
- 3:03Speaker 1: me too, you know, I not only for the fashion,
- 3:07Speaker 1: but obviously to see, you know, all the great movies
- 3:11Speaker 1: that are being recognized and awarded. Yeah, were you surprised
- 3:16Speaker 1: by any of the of the wins? I was really
- 3:19Speaker 1: surprised that. And I can't think of her name right now,
- 3:23Speaker 1: the girl that I can't think of, the children of
- 3:26Speaker 1: the Flower Moon. I think I saw that with Steve,
- 3:29Speaker 1: the girl that played the American Indian.
- 3:32Speaker 2: I was so shocked that she didn't win. Shocked.
- 3:35Speaker 1: I mean she's won in the past some other awards
- 3:37Speaker 1: and season Golden Globe, Golden Globe. Yes, maybe she's so talented.
- 3:43Speaker 1: Yet she think it's.
- 3:44Speaker 2: Amazing she should have won that Oscar. I don't know
- 3:47Speaker 2: what happened. I was shut up.
- 3:49Speaker 1: When she's young, and I think this is, you know,
- 3:52Speaker 1: just like the beginning of her career. And she still
- 3:56Speaker 1: has Lily. Her name is Lily, Lily Gladstone. She yes, good,
- 4:01Speaker 1: she's phenomenal.
- 4:03Speaker 2: I don't know. I'm excited for her and for her
- 4:05Speaker 2: next movie. So I thought I saw something that I
- 4:08Speaker 2: thought was kind of odd. And I hear it's been
- 4:10Speaker 2: like it was a theme for the Oscars this year.
- 4:13Speaker 2: But so don't you think it was kind of odd
- 4:16Speaker 2: that Ryan Gosling was there without Yeah, And then I
- 4:24Speaker 2: went on her Instagram, like, I wonder she's posting she
- 4:27Speaker 2: was backstage.
- 4:28Speaker 1: Like like in you know age, she was backstage by
- 4:33Speaker 1: the dress.
- 4:34Speaker 2: I thought she was home. No, she was posting videos
- 4:37Speaker 2: of his dressing room that she was there supporting her man.
- 4:39Speaker 2: But you never see her. He never brings her to
- 4:42Speaker 2: a red carpet. It's so odd to me why she's
- 4:45Speaker 2: so beautiful. You know, she's audio me that she's never
- 4:48Speaker 2: done any more movies. I mean, she's such a big
- 4:50Speaker 2: star and she was such a good actress. When you know,
- 4:53Speaker 2: when it seems kind of like.
- 4:55Speaker 1: She stepped down right to give to be a mother,
- 4:58Speaker 1: you know, a good cube of Gowana, She's like, you
- 5:03Speaker 1: know what, I'm going to stay at home. She's two daughters,
- 5:05Speaker 1: and nine year old and a seven year old is
- 5:10Speaker 1: very very Latin.
- 5:13Speaker 2: Ryan went along with that, like my dad did.
- 5:15Speaker 1: I said exactly the same thing. It's so cool right
- 5:19Speaker 1: the green. I was like, you know, man, that's a
- 5:21Speaker 1: good name, which is called her Emerald yea, and loved Yeah.
- 5:26Speaker 1: But you see, I didn't know that that she was
- 5:27Speaker 1: in the back. I thought that she was home because
- 5:29Speaker 1: when she posted her video, you know, wearing the ken jacket,
- 5:35Speaker 1: she said like, come back home now to put our
- 5:37Speaker 1: daughters to bed.
- 5:39Speaker 2: Oh well, you know, curiosity got the best of me
- 5:42Speaker 2: and I saw him on the carpet. I didn't see her,
- 5:44Speaker 2: and I'm like, why are they never together? She's a
- 5:45Speaker 2: movie star too, And then I went to her and.
- 5:49Speaker 1: By the way, they both would have been invited to
- 5:51Speaker 1: the Vanity Fair party because they're both big stars. Because
- 5:55Speaker 1: you know how the Vanity Fair parties. Not not everybody
- 5:58Speaker 1: gets invited, and not every ready is allowed to take
- 6:00Speaker 1: a plus one. But in their case, they're equal, and
- 6:04Speaker 1: they both were very invited and welcomed to the party.
- 6:07Speaker 2: Do you think it's her that doesn't want to go?
- 6:09Speaker 2: Highly doubt. He's like telling her you can't come, must
- 6:12Speaker 2: be her. I agree, I think it's her. You know,
- 6:16Speaker 2: maybe it's not an agreement that they have between them,
- 6:18Speaker 2: but I would want to be there. I would want
- 6:21Speaker 2: to experience.
- 6:22Speaker 1: You know, my husband, he performed, he sang you know
- 6:27Speaker 1: the song, and he also was nominated, so I would
- 6:32Speaker 1: have been there right by his side.
- 6:34Speaker 2: Yeah, me too. Well, you know you and I love
- 6:36Speaker 2: a red carbet and a beautiful gown. Maybe they're trying
- 6:39Speaker 2: to keep their privacy and their relationship so that people don't.
- 6:42Speaker 1: Know they have They've always been very private, But how
- 6:45Speaker 1: do you keep that private? You know, people are talking
- 6:47Speaker 1: about them because she's not there. You know, I think
- 6:50Speaker 1: it's great that you keep your personal life, especially your children,
- 6:53Speaker 1: out of the limelight. If that's what you choose. But
- 6:56Speaker 1: if you don't participate and you don't go to something
- 6:59Speaker 1: like this, people talking about it too. They're talking about
- 7:02Speaker 1: it also because they find it odd that she would
- 7:05Speaker 1: not be there, especially that she was there. You said,
- 7:07Speaker 1: I didn't know that. I did not know that she
- 7:09Speaker 1: was backstage. Maybe she didn't want to put on the dress.
- 7:13Speaker 2: No, maybe not, I don't know. I'm thinking. You never
- 7:16Speaker 2: see them out in public paparazzi. They're very you know,
- 7:19Speaker 2: they don't do you just don't see them doing anything.
- 7:23Speaker 1: I love that, you know, I love that that she
- 7:27Speaker 1: They've decided to keep their personal life private because you know,
- 7:30Speaker 1: not everybody wants to be followed by the proparazzi. Look
- 7:32Speaker 1: at you know, j Lo and Ben. You know, every
- 7:35Speaker 1: time they go outside, the paparazzis there. So I think
- 7:38Speaker 1: they established from the very beginning, even during her pregnancy,
- 7:42Speaker 1: that they didn't want to have the public life, and
- 7:44Speaker 1: I think that everybody respects that. But for this kind
- 7:48Speaker 1: of event, I feel that she should have been there.
- 7:54Speaker 2: I was going to get an oscar, not as.
- 7:58Speaker 1: Barbie af I his barbie and he owns on her
- 8:02Speaker 1: cuban barbie by the way, you know. I also found
- 8:06Speaker 1: an interesting fact of Eva is older than than ken
- 8:10Speaker 1: Oyamami than Ryan. She Eva's fifty and Ryan twenty three.
- 8:19Speaker 1: She looks she's beautiful. I've always been such a fan
- 8:21Speaker 1: of hers, and I got to meet her here in
- 8:23Speaker 1: Miami at Northstorm. She was doing an event for Northstorm
- 8:28Speaker 1: and I also was part of the event and we
- 8:33Speaker 1: met each other.
- 8:33Speaker 2: They introduced us.
- 8:34Speaker 1: We said we were like both Cuban, and we gravitated
- 8:37Speaker 1: towards each other and we would not stop talking. She
- 8:40Speaker 1: has to pull us apart. She seems like she'd be fun,
- 8:43Speaker 1: like a fun She's so fun. She's so Cuban, and
- 8:47Speaker 1: you can see that she's a good wife, a good mom,
- 8:49Speaker 1: a good daughter. She's always talking about her mom. I
- 8:51Speaker 1: love a relationship with her mom. I love that she
- 8:54Speaker 1: owns you know who she is and her culture. And
- 8:58Speaker 1: I'm just excited. I want her to do a comeback.
- 9:01Speaker 1: I mean, I think that she's always been such a
- 9:03Speaker 1: talented actress and she's done such good movies and I
- 9:06Speaker 1: would love to see her again on the big screen
- 9:09Speaker 1: and being nominated for an Oscar because.
- 9:11Speaker 2: I think she can do it. We need a Cuban
- 9:13Speaker 2: with an Oscar. Is there a Cuban out there with
- 9:15Speaker 2: an Oscar. Hmm, does Andy Garcia say one? I don't
- 9:20Speaker 2: think so.
- 9:20Speaker 1: I think he does.
- 9:21Speaker 2: He does.
- 9:22Speaker 1: I think that Anti Garcia has one for sure, either
- 9:25Speaker 1: as a supporting actor or an actor. I'm not sure,
- 9:30Speaker 1: but he deserves one too. Yeah, and you and I
- 9:33Speaker 1: deserve one. I actually grew up that night that I
- 9:37Speaker 1: was talking to you, and I was like, bro, look man,
- 9:39Speaker 1: I don't want Oscar. I always knew I was going
- 9:41Speaker 1: to get one, and you were looking at me with
- 9:43Speaker 1: the weirdest face when you're wearing a gold dress to
- 9:46Speaker 1: match your statue.
- 9:47Speaker 2: I was like on the floor, looking like, look at
- 9:50Speaker 2: my Oscar. I got it. I knew it. I knew
- 9:53Speaker 2: I was going to get one. Andy Andy Garcia was nominated,
- 9:58Speaker 2: but he didn't win.
- 10:00Speaker 1: Was it?
- 10:00Speaker 2: I think it was for that Meg Ryan film that
- 10:03Speaker 2: he did when when she was an alcoholic.
- 10:05Speaker 1: You know, for sure, Andy Garcia's had nominations because he's
- 10:08Speaker 1: another incredible actor. So, but did Ryan go to the
- 10:12Speaker 1: after party? Did he go to the Vanity Fair party?
- 10:14Speaker 1: Because that's another thing that I find very interesting. So
- 10:16Speaker 1: a lot of people, obviously a lot of the actors
- 10:18Speaker 1: and actresses don't get to attend the oscars and but
- 10:23Speaker 1: a lot of them are invited to the after party,
- 10:25Speaker 1: which is the Vanity Fair Oscar party.
- 10:27Speaker 2: And there's the Elton John after party that's the big
- 10:30Speaker 2: one too.
- 10:32Speaker 1: But is it the same night that Elton John is
- 10:34Speaker 1: the Vanity I don't. Yeah, they emerge them, Yeah, yeah,
- 10:37Speaker 1: they're the same night.
- 10:38Speaker 2: Okay, So yeah, so apparently there's no plus ones that
- 10:47Speaker 2: any Fair after party? What the hell is that all about?
- 10:49Speaker 1: So you can't take your significant others? So what do
- 10:52Speaker 1: you do if you attend? Well maybe that's why I
- 10:54Speaker 1: didn't take Eva data because Eva would have been invited.
- 10:57Speaker 2: Do you say?
- 10:58Speaker 3: Do you say Eva? And I used to say Eva?
- 11:00Speaker 3: And I say, I, like you do? Would you go
- 11:02Speaker 3: without Todd? They said you can't come with Todd? You
- 11:06Speaker 3: know it is a work thing though if it's work, maybe,
- 11:11Speaker 3: but I feel like it's more of a celebration and
- 11:13Speaker 3: you should you know.
- 11:15Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 11:16Speaker 1: So when I did that, how cool is it? I
- 11:17Speaker 1: think it's super cool that like all these actors, like
- 11:21Speaker 1: A listers, actors and actresses are there. And I also
- 11:25Speaker 1: read that there's no like VIP section, Like everybody's the same,
- 11:29Speaker 1: everyone's a VIP.
- 11:31Speaker 2: Everybody's a VIP.
- 11:32Speaker 1: But I also do know that they get there according
- 11:35Speaker 1: to like how famous they are, according like their call
- 11:38Speaker 1: time is different, which makes sense. Also, like the biggest
- 11:41Speaker 1: star goes at the end. But I saw to the
- 11:45Speaker 1: Vanity Fair party they were all getting I think it's different.
- 11:48Speaker 1: I think that the A listers go first, go earlier,
- 11:53Speaker 1: and then all the other people go towards the end
- 11:57Speaker 1: when all the food's picked over. Right, So like at
- 12:00Speaker 1: the beginning, you know it's where you're really going to
- 12:02Speaker 1: like rebeilbows with all like your colleagues who are also
- 12:05Speaker 1: at the same level. You want to say, it's a stardom,
- 12:09Speaker 1: it's a networking thing. You know, they're all there trying
- 12:11Speaker 1: to get noticed for the next film and the next gig,
- 12:13Speaker 1: and it's it's worked. At the end of the day,
- 12:16Speaker 1: it's fun and it's well, I mean, if you see
- 12:18Speaker 1: it like that, it's you're right, and it's that's a
- 12:21Speaker 1: good approach to have to leave your significant other behind
- 12:26Speaker 1: and just call it like a work party. But that's
- 12:28Speaker 1: a really good work party.
- 12:29Speaker 2: If Steve told me, if Steve was an actor and
- 12:33Speaker 2: he told me he was going to the Vanity fair party.
- 12:34Speaker 2: What I'm going to be, like, the hell you are?
- 12:37Speaker 1: You're staying I'm going with you in your pocket, in
- 12:40Speaker 1: your jocks drop, but I'm going.
- 12:43Speaker 2: You're not leaving me behind.
- 12:46Speaker 1: That's what about it. But bool beer is pretty I
- 12:48Speaker 1: don't know, he's want to let you go by yourself?
- 12:50Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, he would, he would.
- 12:52Speaker 1: I just think that I don't know certain things like
- 12:57Speaker 1: cocktail parties, dinner, invite evening after six things, you should
- 13:02Speaker 1: have a plus one, you know, luncheons. I think so.
- 13:05Speaker 1: I think so too. You know. It also depends on
- 13:07Speaker 1: your relationship, and I feel like if you get them
- 13:09Speaker 1: used to that since the beginning, then that's the way
- 13:12Speaker 1: it's going to be. But if you're really always used
- 13:15Speaker 1: to being with your partner, your significant other, your husband,
- 13:19Speaker 1: and you do everything together, and then all of a sudden,
- 13:22Speaker 1: you know, you have one of these parties and you're like, oh,
- 13:24Speaker 1: I'm sorry, babe, like you can't come with me, I
- 13:26Speaker 1: think it's rude. You know, you know, I don't want
- 13:29Speaker 1: I don't like to do things to others that I
- 13:31Speaker 1: wouldn't like me to do to me. So of course
- 13:33Speaker 1: probably the answer is no, Like I probably would not
- 13:36Speaker 1: attend if I knew that it was going to bother
- 13:38Speaker 1: Todd and he would do that to me. But I
- 13:39Speaker 1: think it has to be like an open communication where
- 13:41Speaker 1: you both do the same thing.
- 13:43Speaker 2: We have to agree together.
- 13:44Speaker 1: Yeah, right, But no, I didn't notice that a lot,
- 13:47Speaker 1: like for example, Jessica Alba. You know, she went with
- 13:51Speaker 1: her husband, but you know her husband is a film producer,
- 13:55Speaker 1: so I guess you know, there were a lot of
- 13:56Speaker 1: couples that are both like power couples and they're both
- 13:59Speaker 1: you know, own in the industry, so they both you know,
- 14:02Speaker 1: attended together. But then there's other people that like for example,
- 14:06Speaker 1: Sophia Dgata, right, so she isn't with Joe Manjanello. So
- 14:11Speaker 1: obviously when she was with Joe Manjanello, they were both
- 14:14Speaker 1: actors and you know, big names, so they were both
- 14:16Speaker 1: invited to the party. But now she's just dating the
- 14:19Speaker 1: orthopedic surgeon. So I'm sure she wasn't allowed to bring
- 14:24Speaker 1: him as a plus one. Maybe she didn't even want
- 14:26Speaker 1: to take him as a plus one, right, because she
- 14:28Speaker 1: wanted to mingle with people like that are in her
- 14:31Speaker 1: in her industry, and maybe there wasn't really the place
- 14:34Speaker 1: for him.
- 14:35Speaker 2: So Basically, the Vanity Fair Oscar party is invite only,
- 14:39Speaker 2: and unless your significant other is invited as well, you're
- 14:43Speaker 2: not allowed to plus one. It sucks.
- 14:46Speaker 1: That sucks, right well, I mean there's a lot of people.
- 14:48Speaker 1: I mean, you could go and do like a carpet
- 14:50Speaker 1: and mingle a little bit and then just go home.
- 14:53Speaker 1: You don't have to, you know, stick around the whole night.
- 14:56Speaker 2: I would want to stick around. You know, there's some
- 14:58Speaker 2: good people watching going on. You would have to go
- 15:02Speaker 2: in there and take you out, like I'm not ready.
- 15:06Speaker 2: You don't want to, Steve, don't take me.
- 15:07Speaker 1: Now, right, But like in your real life, like with
- 15:11Speaker 1: see what do you do if you're you know the
- 15:14Speaker 1: answer to that, but not everybody knows. And I know
- 15:16Speaker 1: you know.
- 15:18Speaker 2: Your relationship is the same way I do everything with
- 15:20Speaker 2: Steve everything. I feel weird if I had to go
- 15:23Speaker 2: somewhere without him, which I rarely do unless it's during
- 15:26Speaker 2: the day and he's working and I'm doing my stuff.
- 15:29Speaker 2: On the weekends, we're always together. If there's something to
- 15:32Speaker 2: do at night, we always do it together. And I
- 15:34Speaker 2: don't want to do anything without him anyway, I know,
- 15:37Speaker 2: I mean.
- 15:37Speaker 1: I would do it weird At a party like this,
- 15:39Speaker 1: but maybe it's like what you're saying, since everybody's in
- 15:41Speaker 1: the industry and it's.
- 15:42Speaker 2: Kind of like a working work thing, maybe you don't.
- 15:44Speaker 1: Feel weird, you know, without being you know, with your
- 15:48Speaker 1: significant other. You got a hustle in Hollywood, and that's
- 15:53Speaker 1: that's the night's a hustle. Todd and I have a
- 15:55Speaker 1: joke between us. He always says that he's my plus
- 15:58Speaker 1: one plus one, right, yeah, right, So in this case
- 16:02Speaker 1: he wouldn't have been allowed because it would have been
- 16:04Speaker 1: my plus one. But you know what I would have
- 16:06Speaker 1: I would have found out to figure it out a
- 16:07Speaker 1: way to like.
- 16:09Speaker 2: Them In alex I was thinking the same thing. It's
- 16:12Speaker 2: just gonna say, you.
- 16:13Speaker 1: Would have would you stick around?
- 16:15Speaker 2: Yeah? Stick around?
- 16:17Speaker 1: You know, I swear to you, I'm there's going to
- 16:20Speaker 1: be away. I'm going to find you. And probably if
- 16:23Speaker 1: that wouldn't have happened, he would have gone to like
- 16:25Speaker 1: the closest bar by there. He would have got to
- 16:27Speaker 1: the Beverly was Willshire at the bar. I would have
- 16:29Speaker 1: found him there. He would be like, Okay, you go
- 16:32Speaker 1: have your fund. I'm gonna have my fun.
- 16:34Speaker 2: I know you would have found him like a catering
- 16:35Speaker 2: uniform and it snuck him in through the catering area.
- 16:42Speaker 1: No, but I've heard that, like they stop people. You know,
- 16:44Speaker 1: security is like top notch Ina day. You know, it's
- 16:46Speaker 1: like you know, yeah, I'm sure, but I know the
- 16:49Speaker 1: security is very very tight because of many many reasons.
- 16:53Speaker 1: But but yeah, I mean, I don't know. Like you said,
- 16:57Speaker 1: I do everything with Tad too. I go to all
- 16:59Speaker 1: these kind of events with Todd, and I think that
- 17:02Speaker 1: there's you know, he should be able to go. I
- 17:04Speaker 1: think your plus one should be able to go. But
- 17:06Speaker 1: that's a vanity fair thing. We're not here to change it.
- 17:10Speaker 1: As if we could, right imagine count how they feel
- 17:17Speaker 1: about it. We should actually be able to like interview,
- 17:20Speaker 1: you know, maybe like who attended by themselves. I don't know.
- 17:24Speaker 1: I feel like all these actors and actresses also date
- 17:27Speaker 1: other actors and actresses, Like for example, Kim Kardashian was
- 17:30Speaker 1: there by herself. She now plus one, but then her
- 17:33Speaker 1: plus one which was Odem the guy she's dating. I
- 17:37Speaker 1: don't know how to say his name. He's also a star,
- 17:39Speaker 1: isn't he like a football player or something. He's a
- 17:41Speaker 1: football player. But yeah, you can be a star football player,
- 17:45Speaker 1: so I guess on his own. He was invited as well.
- 17:48Speaker 1: So that worked out perfect, you know for them, because
- 17:52Speaker 1: she was invited on her own, he was invited on
- 17:55Speaker 1: her own, and they secretly were together and then they
- 17:57Speaker 1: left together. Right, So that's that's a good deal. Yeah, right,
- 18:00Speaker 1: that's its fun. Right.
- 18:03Speaker 2: Is he younger than her? He is?
- 18:05Speaker 1: He's also younger. Speaking of younger, I feel like I
- 18:07Speaker 1: get talamola talemola to date younger, whether you're it's a
- 18:10Speaker 1: girl the dates younger, or whether it's the guy the
- 18:13Speaker 1: dates younger. Yeah, by the way, he has always been themola, right,
- 18:15Speaker 1: But I'm happy and now the women are putting it.
- 18:18Speaker 1: I'm in Nemola. But Kim's in her forties, right, she's
- 18:21Speaker 1: forty four and the guy's thirty or thirty one. When
- 18:24Speaker 1: I was in my forties, the youngest guys would hit
- 18:27Speaker 1: on me, and I never understood why they didn't do
- 18:29Speaker 1: it when I was in my thirties and they didn't
- 18:31Speaker 1: do it when I was in my fifties. It was
- 18:33Speaker 1: in my forties and forties is that age? I wasn't
- 18:35Speaker 1: giving an age for the woman and one of them
- 18:37Speaker 1: we went up at Almohad it's a very good age
- 18:39Speaker 1: for the man, and the thirties is a great age
- 18:42Speaker 1: for the guys. That's all right, now, yeah, my personal experience,
- 18:45Speaker 1: I agree, I agree, I agree with some guys just
- 18:47Speaker 1: in the forties they let themselves go. But us women
- 18:50Speaker 1: were good at preserving ourselves. No, and not the guys
- 18:52Speaker 1: in the forties they were like, the forties is an
- 18:55Speaker 1: age where a man is usually still married because the men,
- 18:58Speaker 1: some men, you know, marry later, so their children are
- 19:02Speaker 1: still younger, they're still in the marriage and that, and
- 19:04Speaker 1: they're sol they're not available. So I think it's easier
- 19:07Speaker 1: for the forty year olds to date guys in their thirties.
- 19:12Speaker 2: I mean, that wasn't my that wasn't my jam.
- 19:15Speaker 1: Speaking of dating younger dating younger men, Kristin Kavalari is
- 19:19Speaker 1: in a new relationship with the TikTok Star mark estez
- 19:23Speaker 1: A Montana boys. And he's twenty four years old and
- 19:28Speaker 1: she's thirty seven. Oh my god, you see, twenty four
- 19:31Speaker 1: is really young. Thirteen years well, no, twelve years, thirteen
- 19:35Speaker 1: years that's that's fine. I mean, I'm sure you've dated
- 19:39Speaker 1: twelve years younger or older. The thing is, I don't
- 19:43Speaker 1: see so much the age I think, where they're at
- 19:45Speaker 1: their age, right, because I mean, a thirty seven year
- 19:47Speaker 1: old woman is at a different stage in her life
- 19:50Speaker 1: than a twenty four year.
- 19:51Speaker 2: Old kid, right, and we're already mature to begin with.
- 19:54Speaker 2: Women are much more mature than men. A twenty four
- 19:56Speaker 2: year old boy is a he's a boy.
- 19:58Speaker 1: That's a boy, right, But me, she says, she wasn't
- 20:00Speaker 1: searching for a relationship with him. You know, she just
- 20:03Speaker 1: wants you know, she just wants us to know that
- 20:06Speaker 1: dating a twenty four year old is not something that
- 20:08Speaker 1: she was searching for. But she gets that, she gets that,
- 20:13Speaker 1: you know, he's not a typical twenty four year old,
- 20:15Speaker 1: which is true, you know, not only you know, twenty
- 20:17Speaker 1: four year old sounds really really young, and it is.
- 20:19Speaker 1: But there are some twenty four year old girls and
- 20:22Speaker 1: boys that are more mature than Macay and Mike Kuila.
- 20:26Speaker 1: You know, they've lived more some whatnot very fam with some, yeah,
- 20:32Speaker 1: I think. But I mean it helps that the guy's
- 20:33Speaker 1: really hot. So the kid's really hot, right, you know,
- 20:37Speaker 1: and she's thirty seven. She looks great. I mean I
- 20:39Speaker 1: think she's like a really pretty girl, and she's very young.
- 20:42Speaker 1: You know, she's very like youthful and playful. I means
- 20:45Speaker 1: she was three. She's just gay.
- 20:46Speaker 2: I'm youthful and playful and I'm in my fifties.
- 20:51Speaker 1: Okay, so what are you trying to say? What are
- 20:53Speaker 1: you learning?
- 20:53Speaker 2: Just thirty seven, I was like extra youth, baby festive, right, But.
- 20:59Speaker 1: That's what I'm saying, So I don't blame her, right
- 21:02Speaker 1: that you want. I mean, she also had kids at
- 21:04Speaker 1: a young age, just three kids, so she's already been married.
- 21:08Speaker 1: So you know what, she just wants to have fun.
- 21:10Speaker 1: So you're gonna have fun. Well, you know, this is
- 21:13Speaker 1: the good this is a good person to do it with.
- 21:15Speaker 2: Right, That's what I'm hoping for her, That she's looking
- 21:17Speaker 2: at this young man as fun because he's too young
- 21:22Speaker 2: and she's got a.
- 21:23Speaker 1: Prety well like she says, I mean, I don't think
- 21:25Speaker 1: she's searching for a relationship, because again, you know, she
- 21:29Speaker 1: she already had that and she has she has kids,
- 21:32Speaker 1: so I think she just liked them because he's so
- 21:34Speaker 1: hot and she just wants to have fun and there's
- 21:37Speaker 1: nothing wrong with that.
- 21:38Speaker 2: She said, He's very sweet from the jump. He was
- 21:41Speaker 2: so sweet to me, like the very first thing, he
- 21:44Speaker 2: said to me, was you're like really pretty.
- 21:48Speaker 1: Okay, you know, oh my god, that's how she's judging that.
- 21:54Speaker 1: He's super nice. You know, construction were so sweet all
- 21:57Speaker 1: right from the street. You're pray hot and with whistles.
- 22:02Speaker 1: He's so sweet. You know, don't come care a construction
- 22:05Speaker 1: worker with this kid.
- 22:05Speaker 2: I can't.
- 22:06Speaker 1: Did you see him? He's very cute. He's a TikToker.
- 22:09Speaker 1: I know, I can you know, I don't do TikTok.
- 22:11Speaker 1: But when I was seen a picture of him, you
- 22:14Speaker 1: know what's It's a stage that she's going on. She's
- 22:17Speaker 1: having a lot of women go through these stages, and
- 22:21Speaker 1: you know, we're there. It's always going to be judged.
- 22:24Speaker 1: But again, you know, men have always done it, and
- 22:26Speaker 1: it's like, okay, well I have the problem is like
- 22:28Speaker 1: it's okay for men to do it, but it's not
- 22:31Speaker 1: okay for women. Newsflash, we are equal, We are the same.
- 22:36Speaker 1: The same way that men can do it, women can
- 22:38Speaker 1: do it also, absolutely. But I think there's a certain
- 22:41Speaker 1: spread of a certain age where it works, like twelve
- 22:46Speaker 1: years super thirteen years isn't that much. Thirteen years is
- 22:50Speaker 1: about it.
- 22:50Speaker 2: But the spread to me is okay, So maybe if
- 22:54Speaker 2: she was, you know, I don't know, in her forties
- 23:01Speaker 2: and he's late thirties, maybe it's not such a big deal.
- 23:04Speaker 2: But he's twenty four, Like you graduate college when you're
- 23:08Speaker 2: twenty four, and she's younger.
- 23:11Speaker 1: Than Frankie, Yeah, exactly, how would you feel about that? Well,
- 23:16Speaker 1: I'm also older than her, so it's a little different,
- 23:19Speaker 1: but you know, thirteen years, like you says, is really
- 23:22Speaker 1: not so much. But I understand where you're saying that
- 23:26Speaker 1: she's in her thirties, late thirties and he's in his
- 23:28Speaker 1: early twenties, so there are different stages in their life.
- 23:31Speaker 1: But we don't know that, Like you know, he probably
- 23:34Speaker 1: wants her life because I find, like you know, maybe
- 23:36Speaker 1: at his age and he's more mature, he wants at
- 23:38Speaker 1: her life. He wants to have children, he wants to
- 23:40Speaker 1: have a family, he wants to be in his career
- 23:42Speaker 1: where she's at because she's done very well with her
- 23:44Speaker 1: career and she's a businesswoman. So if I feel like
- 23:48Speaker 1: a lot of time the young guys, they are fascinated
- 23:53Speaker 1: by older women, especially somebody like her. That she's pretty,
- 23:56Speaker 1: she's successful, she's famous, so she has all these attributes
- 24:00Speaker 1: that any young kid would fall in love with and
- 24:03Speaker 1: it's up to her not to be foolish.
- 24:06Speaker 2: And I's in love with him exactly. I mean, I
- 24:08Speaker 2: get his fascination, but yeah, she cannot let it be
- 24:12Speaker 2: anything more than fun for her.
- 24:13Speaker 1: I think, I think, And my mom would always tell me, like,
- 24:16Speaker 1: be careful, like when you're, like you said, like thirties
- 24:19Speaker 1: and the forties, you know, when you date usually when
- 24:21Speaker 1: you are that age and you do want to date
- 24:25Speaker 1: much younger like that. My mother would always tell me,
- 24:27Speaker 1: like think we all. I remember when I got separated
- 24:30Speaker 1: and I was like forty some years old, forty eight,
- 24:32Speaker 1: and my mother's like, when you date younger, because Santa Morandi,
- 24:36Speaker 1: they fall in love with you, and they fall in
- 24:38Speaker 1: love with you. And I know for people, it's like
- 24:40Speaker 1: really hard to believe that, like why would this young
- 24:42Speaker 1: kid like or whatever, like somebody older, But it's really
- 24:46Speaker 1: not older because she's thirty seven and her body still
- 24:49Speaker 1: looks great, her face, like her energy, the way that
- 24:51Speaker 1: she is, so it's not like you know, she's like
- 24:53Speaker 1: oh yeah, so, like I don't understand that.
- 25:04Speaker 2: I have the craziest story. My friend I was working
- 25:08Speaker 2: a winter music conference at the Raleigh Hotel, and this
- 25:14Speaker 2: really cute guy kept staring at me all night long.
- 25:17Speaker 2: All night long, he was dancing there with a group
- 25:19Speaker 2: of people, and I was like, why is he looking
- 25:21Speaker 2: at me? He's really cute. I don't look that good anyway.
- 25:24Speaker 2: I was like forty one years old. He asked me
- 25:28Speaker 2: for my number. I was like, okay. All the girls
- 25:30Speaker 2: in the office were like, oh my gosh, he's so cute.
- 25:34Speaker 2: And he told me he was twenty eight, and I
- 25:37Speaker 2: was like, okay, perfect day. Forty one, twenty eight, you
- 25:41Speaker 2: know whatever, let's just see, you know, thirteen years come
- 25:44Speaker 2: being uh huh, well guess what what did he want?
- 25:47Speaker 2: Julie my old employee. Julie, my old employee, went on
- 25:52Speaker 2: Facebook after he'd been texting me for like a couple
- 25:54Speaker 2: of weeks and screams one.
- 25:57Speaker 1: Day at me.
- 25:58Speaker 2: Marsa, oh my god, come here. You know she was
- 26:02Speaker 2: a snoop detective. I go over to her.
- 26:04Speaker 4: She goes, stop boys in high school. That boy that's
- 26:08Speaker 4: been text you was in high school. No, he was
- 26:11Speaker 4: like sixteen sixteen. I never thought with him. I just
- 26:17Speaker 4: texted with him.
- 26:18Speaker 2: I was in shocked. I almost died.
- 26:20Speaker 1: I almost didn't he look, but I was forty, I
- 26:23Speaker 1: mean sixty sixty baby, he I mean he definitely had
- 26:26Speaker 1: mommy issues. I'm sorry. He had dark hair, so we
- 26:30Speaker 1: had a sad boy. The shadow on the face like
- 26:33Speaker 1: from the beer. And he was muscular in tan. Was
- 26:35Speaker 1: he looking for his mommy? Did he?
- 26:38Speaker 2: I think he was looking for a bit of sugar mama.
- 26:41Speaker 2: It was crazy. I couldn't believe it. But you know,
- 26:44Speaker 2: in your forties the young'ins come. But I thought that
- 26:47Speaker 2: was that stream young got sick to me.
- 26:50Speaker 1: Yeah, like no, I know, no, that's how I shied.
- 26:53Speaker 1: But twenty and forty one couldn't work out. I mean,
- 26:56Speaker 1: I mean, I'm not saying like a long you know,
- 26:59Speaker 1: relation ship, but you know, sometimes it does like to me,
- 27:03Speaker 1: age is a number. But the fact that Kristen's getting
- 27:07Speaker 1: like all this hate and like people judging her and
- 27:09Speaker 1: all this criticism, I think it's stupid. Well, people are
- 27:12Speaker 1: people are always going to judge women. Again, men can
- 27:15Speaker 1: do it and it's okay, but women do it and
- 27:19Speaker 1: you know they're they're terrible. Well, I do have a
- 27:21Speaker 1: little bit of a problem with her is the fact
- 27:24Speaker 1: that she's went out and said that her kids have
- 27:28Speaker 1: already met Mark.
- 27:29Speaker 2: Hmm.
- 27:30Speaker 1: You know she's been with those like three months, and yeah,
- 27:34Speaker 1: well the kids might be a little bit confused. Well,
- 27:36Speaker 1: her kids are still young, but still, you know, I
- 27:39Speaker 1: think and this has nothing to do with age, you know,
- 27:41Speaker 1: I just think that any woman and every woman should
- 27:44Speaker 1: take a little bit longer when it comes to introducing
- 27:47Speaker 1: their kids.
- 27:48Speaker 2: Yeah, to the person. I mean, you don't know.
- 27:51Speaker 1: Maybe it's because she doesn't she sees it as fun
- 27:54Speaker 1: and you know, like you know, he's like, I don't
- 27:56Speaker 1: know he's going to be around. So maybe it's but
- 27:59Speaker 1: I don't know about the kids really knowing or involving
- 28:02Speaker 1: the kids and the kids knowing that you're in some
- 28:04Speaker 1: kind of relationship with this guy. Not because of his age.
- 28:07Speaker 1: But I just wouldn't do it with anybody unless I'm
- 28:09Speaker 1: really serious about him.
- 28:10Speaker 2: I mean, after three months, that's too soon. That's too soon.
- 28:13Speaker 2: So do they like him.
- 28:16Speaker 1: That? I don't know? You do? You have the article
- 28:18Speaker 1: there if you want to read it?
- 28:19Speaker 2: Yeah, here we go. Uh, she says, uh, this is
- 28:24Speaker 2: the she has three days.
- 28:26Speaker 1: Like I said, she met her the boyfriend Mark Estas
- 28:29Speaker 1: she said that this is the first guy she her
- 28:32Speaker 1: children is Matt. He came to pick me up and
- 28:34Speaker 1: the boys were like, can I show you my room?
- 28:37Speaker 1: And he went upstairs to see the kids rooms. My
- 28:40Speaker 1: boys are so excited about him. They probably thought he
- 28:43Speaker 1: was a playdate.
- 28:49Speaker 2: Thanks you play date, mom?
- 28:51Speaker 1: Yeah, can we stay with us and play you can
- 28:54Speaker 1: go mom? Well speaking with Mark, Oh okay, but hold on.
- 29:00Speaker 1: So she has the three kids, she has two sons,
- 29:04Speaker 1: Camp then that's eleven. That's a difficult age. Eleven and
- 29:07Speaker 1: Jackson that's nine, and her daughter that's eight.
- 29:11Speaker 2: Right, So when you started dating Herman, your boys were
- 29:15Speaker 2: in that age range, right, you.
- 29:17Speaker 1: Know they were young. Frankie was four and Peter was eight, Yes, eight, okay, yeah,
- 29:24Speaker 1: and it's always a difficult age. Yes, it's always a
- 29:27Speaker 1: difficult age. But my kids were very vocal about letting
- 29:30Speaker 1: Herman know in the beginning that they didn't like them,
- 29:32Speaker 1: and he was not walcome in my home.
- 29:35Speaker 2: I love it, I'm sure those kids.
- 29:38Speaker 1: Yeah. So, actually Frankie waited waited for him going by
- 29:44Speaker 1: with a bag, and he was with a date in
- 29:46Speaker 1: his mouth, and he's like he still had a dated
- 29:48Speaker 1: the pacifier at the age of four. Yes, it was
- 29:50Speaker 1: one of those Cuban moms and let my my son
- 29:52Speaker 1: have the pacifier. Was ready to give it up. No, no,
- 29:57Speaker 1: so he was ready to give it up when he
- 29:58Speaker 1: was ready, like a four and a ha. With Peter's help,
- 30:01Speaker 1: because people can do whatever you want. He came, go
- 30:03Speaker 1: la ahida, I would buy him all the cutest days
- 30:06Speaker 1: you can go la ahda of the pacifiers and said, here, mommy,
- 30:09Speaker 1: I don't want I'm not doing this anymore. You can
- 30:11Speaker 1: have them, and he did, so we did that. But anyways, yeah,
- 30:15Speaker 1: my kids weren't so open to any other man, which
- 30:19Speaker 1: you know, is I understand right, because you know, for them,
- 30:24Speaker 1: it's always like their father, you know, no matter what.
- 30:27Speaker 1: And I think the boys are very protective with their mom,
- 30:29Speaker 1: you know. And I think that they you know, at
- 30:32Speaker 1: least mine weren't afraid to show it. And it takes
- 30:35Speaker 1: a little bit longer, you know. I think it's very
- 30:36Speaker 1: hard for them. You know, this is a house where
- 30:38Speaker 1: they live with their mom. Then they see a stranger,
- 30:41Speaker 1: you know, the kids think that the man's going to
- 30:43Speaker 1: take away their love or vice versas the other way around.
- 30:47Speaker 1: And you're killing are obsessed with their father. They adore
- 30:51Speaker 1: their father. So I think you're kids. So I think
- 30:54Speaker 1: that these kids also love their father. I mean, I
- 30:57Speaker 1: don't know the top of relationship that she talks with
- 31:00Speaker 1: this instance that they came with the bat and they
- 31:03Speaker 1: were not accepting of him because I know how they
- 31:05Speaker 1: have their father, their dad. Yeah, and then they ended
- 31:08Speaker 1: up loving herman as well, which is the beautiful thing, right,
- 31:11Speaker 1: And they would always say they had two dads, you know,
- 31:13Speaker 1: which was beautiful. But you know, it's hard for all
- 31:17Speaker 1: the kids. That's why I think as women, we don't think. So.
- 31:19Speaker 1: I mean, I think, you know, Christen's doing it because
- 31:21Speaker 1: she's excited and you know, she's having fun and she thinks,
- 31:25Speaker 1: you know, she wants to include her kids or kids
- 31:27Speaker 1: could kind of understand. But sometimes at that age, our
- 31:30Speaker 1: kids are afraid to tell us, like what they really feel.
- 31:33Speaker 1: And by the way, after all these years and after
- 31:35Speaker 1: Hermann passed away, Peter admitted that he was the one
- 31:38Speaker 1: behind like telling Frankie like, you know, right right because
- 31:44Speaker 1: mom will do it right. So that's what I'm saying,
- 31:46Speaker 1: right because and they're afraid, you know, to tell us
- 31:49Speaker 1: their how they feel and their emotions. But you know,
- 31:52Speaker 1: some way and it's only a matter of time they
- 31:54Speaker 1: start acting out. But you know, hopefully I hope it
- 31:57Speaker 1: works out for her because I like every to get
- 32:00Speaker 1: along and be in love and all.
- 32:02Speaker 2: Your families you know, love love right, No, I know,
- 32:05Speaker 2: But what.
- 32:06Speaker 1: I'm saying is I want her to have, you know,
- 32:07Speaker 1: healthy kids and a healthy relationship. But you know, it's hard,
- 32:10Speaker 1: you know sometimes as mother, you know, our kids they
- 32:12Speaker 1: don't come with a handbook, so we don't we don't
- 32:14Speaker 1: know whether we're doing the right thing or the wrong thing.
- 32:17Speaker 1: With the experience that I have, I think it's a
- 32:19Speaker 1: little bit too soon, you know, to bring you know,
- 32:23Speaker 1: somebody that, especially if you're not that serious about the
- 32:26Speaker 1: person you know, into your home and introduce them to
- 32:28Speaker 1: your kids, because you know, they never really understand.
- 32:31Speaker 2: So maybe she excited as a play day, like like
- 32:35Speaker 2: Lisa introduced Jody as their gay uncle, remember.
- 32:39Speaker 1: Right, Maybe you think I would do that, but you know,
- 32:43Speaker 1: I understand, Like you know, Lisa was excited too. She
- 32:46Speaker 1: was like, you know, she found a god that she liked,
- 32:48Speaker 1: and you know, so it's kind of like you're stuck.
- 32:51Speaker 1: You know, I've been there, so you don't know as
- 32:54Speaker 1: a mom what the right thing to do is. You know,
- 32:56Speaker 1: we just want our kids to be happy, and we
- 32:59Speaker 1: want to be happy, and you know, we never know
- 33:02Speaker 1: if it's going to work out or not. You just
- 33:04Speaker 1: do the best that you can well be And she
- 33:06Speaker 1: says that this is the first guy that the kids met,
- 33:09Speaker 1: which is good. Well, that's a little bit too personal.
- 33:12Speaker 1: Why don't we just start by showing in my little
- 33:14Speaker 1: room or the pool in the backyard. Don't come to
- 33:17Speaker 1: my room. I mean, who am I to talk when
- 33:19Speaker 1: I When I married my second husband, I was forty
- 33:21Speaker 1: two and he was thirty two, ten years apart. Yeah,
- 33:25Speaker 1: I didn't use ten years I started. Yeah, so he
- 33:29Speaker 1: was younger, twelve years young years French. They're very you know,
- 33:34Speaker 1: worldly and educated, and they just seem a lot older.
- 33:38Speaker 1: It was very mature.
- 33:39Speaker 2: An American dude is sometimes own Kuwana or were the
- 33:44Speaker 2: guys that we have in.
- 33:45Speaker 1: Our Like I said, age is just a number. A
- 33:48Speaker 1: lot of times, age is just a number. My mom
- 33:50Speaker 1: always married younger, and they were actually closer in age
- 33:53Speaker 1: to my sister and I and I never had any
- 33:57Speaker 1: type of connection with them because I found them like
- 33:59Speaker 1: old souls. I understood, like why my mom, you know,
- 34:02Speaker 1: could date younger because it's you know, age a lot
- 34:05Speaker 1: of times, and I've seen it in my own personal
- 34:07Speaker 1: experience is just a number, so I'm not concerned. I mean,
- 34:11Speaker 1: I don't think this is anything alarming that Kristen is
- 34:14Speaker 1: having fun with a twenty four year old you know
- 34:17Speaker 1: when you know when men do it all the time.
- 34:21Speaker 1: You know that we're you know why we're talking about
- 34:22Speaker 1: it because it's a woman. If it would be a man,
- 34:25Speaker 1: it would be like nobody cares. You know how many
- 34:28Speaker 1: scott this a guy they I think his young girls.
- 34:30Speaker 1: Nobody talks about it.
- 34:31Speaker 2: I think it's also that age gap of it's not
- 34:35Speaker 2: like she's fifty for and he's forty or you know
- 34:39Speaker 2: that I would get. But he's twenty four and she's
- 34:43Speaker 2: thirty seven, close to forty with three kids. And when
- 34:45Speaker 2: I'm h with a family and he's say not just
- 34:49Speaker 2: because you have to.
- 34:50Speaker 1: Be kids, I don't know, man, just again, I can
- 34:53Speaker 1: see his fashion, his fascination with her, of course, yeah,
- 34:57Speaker 1: I can see her fascination with him, I hope.
- 34:59Speaker 2: So that's ten year old.
- 35:01Speaker 1: That's just me personally, so you know what, I am
- 35:04Speaker 1: rooting for them. At least I have fun, you know,
- 35:07Speaker 1: just to at least I have fun because I think
- 35:10Speaker 1: the sex to teen together. M and I don't know,
- 35:15Speaker 1: but what has age ever prevented you from dating someone?
- 35:19Speaker 2: I married someone ten years younger than me. No, and
- 35:22Speaker 2: my husband's older than me.
- 35:23Speaker 1: I don't for me, years really are Okay, we were
- 35:28Speaker 1: ten years apart, right, So definitely if you were looking
- 35:32Speaker 1: for a long time partner, like age wasn't an issue
- 35:34Speaker 1: for you at that moment in time in my life. No,
- 35:39Speaker 1: I was just like, I'm going to do this. I
- 35:41Speaker 1: didn't have any kids, he had no kids. We worked together.
- 35:44Speaker 2: I knew them for years through work and doing business together,
- 35:47Speaker 2: and eventually went on a few dates, and then.
- 35:51Speaker 1: It didn't work out, not because of the age gap.
- 35:54Speaker 2: I think in the end, there was just too many
- 35:56Speaker 2: differences between us, you know, work ethic, the way we
- 36:01Speaker 2: were raised, they were different.
- 36:03Speaker 1: You know went, Okay, that's different. That's because of your culture, right,
- 36:06Speaker 1: So there are culture differences, but it's difference.
- 36:09Speaker 2: One hundred percent. Well, you know, he still was pretty young,
- 36:13Speaker 2: so so.
- 36:14Speaker 1: He wanted to have a baby. Do you talk about family?
- 36:17Speaker 2: That was just like if it happens, it happens. But
- 36:20Speaker 2: it didn't happen because you know, I didn't even know.
- 36:23Speaker 1: It didn't happen.
- 36:24Speaker 2: You know, it just didn't happen, and it couldn't happen.
- 36:26Speaker 2: And it's just something that I was never physically able
- 36:29Speaker 2: to do. And but we never took a big deep
- 36:31Speaker 2: dive into it. We were freestyle, so you see.
- 36:33Speaker 1: I feel like if that would be an issue if
- 36:37Speaker 1: a younger man wants to have a family and children
- 36:41Speaker 1: and the woman either can't have them anymore biologically or physically,
- 36:45Speaker 1: she's already going to be doesn't want them because she
- 36:48Speaker 1: already has two or three, that could be a problem.
- 36:50Speaker 1: That's why I find that age is a problem. But
- 36:53Speaker 1: a lot of times you meet younger men that are
- 36:55Speaker 1: not interested in having children, so that's perfect, you know,
- 36:59Speaker 1: and maybe though the woman already had her kids or
- 37:01Speaker 1: doesn't want any more kids either, so that works out.
- 37:04Speaker 1: But I find that the biggest problem could be would
- 37:07Speaker 1: be that if you want to have a family, you
- 37:09Speaker 1: know on either side, whether the guy wants it or
- 37:12Speaker 1: the woman wants it or doesn't.
- 37:15Speaker 2: Right, everybody's got to be on the same page.
- 37:17Speaker 1: In my love, did you ever have like an age
- 37:21Speaker 1: limit to date? What about dating? Like forget about marriage
- 37:23Speaker 1: and the family, but like what about just dating.
- 37:26Speaker 2: I mean, yeah, if someone was significantly younger than me,
- 37:31Speaker 2: I wasn't interested, absolutely not, absolutely not. What's significant for you?
- 37:35Speaker 2: So seven to ten years younger was the most I
- 37:40Speaker 2: had ever done, really the most? Yes, yes, yes, oh no,
- 37:45Speaker 2: they so seven years younger and no, twenty one and
- 37:50Speaker 2: I was twenty eight in the nineties and then and
- 37:53Speaker 2: then my husband that was ten years younger than me.
- 37:55Speaker 2: That's it. Other than that, they've always been older than
- 37:58Speaker 2: me or the same age. I like older.
- 38:01Speaker 1: Well, I have a rule that I actually told Andy
- 38:03Speaker 1: Cohen when I was on his show with Sophia and Watch,
- 38:07Speaker 1: and my rule is that I cannot date anyone younger
- 38:12Speaker 1: than my boys.
- 38:13Speaker 2: Well that makes sense.
- 38:14Speaker 1: That's Peter's turning thirty two this year and Frankie's just
- 38:18Speaker 1: turned twenty seven. Well, first of all, I'm happily married
- 38:21Speaker 1: to a younger man. By the way, I know he's
- 38:23Speaker 1: gonna say he's fifty one, and so we're good, right,
- 38:28Speaker 1: I mean, you know, six seven years difference, we're six
- 38:31Speaker 1: years I actually five years and a half. We're five
- 38:34Speaker 1: and a half years apart. So they're like you said
- 38:36Speaker 1: in your fifties, you can't tell the difference. And I
- 38:38Speaker 1: don't think in any you know, at any time in
- 38:41Speaker 1: our lives that would have been a problem, you know,
- 38:43Speaker 1: five six, seven years, like you said. But one thing
- 38:46Speaker 1: is marriage and you know, a long term relationship, and
- 38:50Speaker 1: another thing is just dating.
- 38:51Speaker 2: I mean dating. That was really like my rule.
- 38:54Speaker 1: I mean, I just you know, they have to be
- 38:55Speaker 1: older than than my sons because I have two sons,
- 38:57Speaker 1: you know, So that's why if I didn't have children,
- 39:00Speaker 1: maybe that wouldn't even be a rule. But you know,
- 39:03Speaker 1: it is what it is. And I just think that
- 39:06Speaker 1: age is a number, and a lot of times you
- 39:07Speaker 1: connect with people and you can't even tell their age, right,
- 39:12Speaker 1: you know, by the way you look. You could be talking, right,
- 39:15Speaker 1: you could be talking to a thirty year old guy.
- 39:19Speaker 1: I mean sounds like exactly, you know, and then you
- 39:22Speaker 1: meet some fifteen fifty year old man to have peter
- 39:25Speaker 1: Pan syndrome, and then it's like talking to like, you know,
- 39:28Speaker 1: a twenty year old exactly. So I'm enjoying all this,
- 39:39Speaker 1: jeam mate, we're quite the cheap mold us here. Well
- 39:44Speaker 1: I heard you know what. Then that's why we're so
- 39:46Speaker 1: happy and we're doing so good. Because gossip is really
- 39:49Speaker 1: good for you.
- 39:50Speaker 2: I know, I just read about that and I thought,
- 39:57Speaker 2: you know what, every person that I know that's a
- 40:00Speaker 2: cheap mosa, they just never go away. They're like a
- 40:03Speaker 2: good atcha that lives forever. And you and I love
- 40:06Speaker 2: to cheat me out. So you and I are going
- 40:07Speaker 2: to live forever, right, But I'm a good chiam Mosao,
- 40:10Speaker 2: I'm like mosa. Together.
- 40:12Speaker 1: We need to share inflation, right. We like to talk.
- 40:15Speaker 1: We like to talk and you know, and even about
- 40:17Speaker 1: other people. But I think it's like therapeutic. I think
- 40:19Speaker 1: it's good. It's free therapy, right, And it's not like lies.
- 40:24Speaker 1: You know. I have a problem with gossipers that like
- 40:27Speaker 1: spread lies and rumors Ecosa Fea. You know, I'm not
- 40:30Speaker 1: It's not about that. We like to talk about people,
- 40:32Speaker 1: but like in a good way, like just like what
- 40:34Speaker 1: we're doing right now. I mean, we talked about Kristen,
- 40:37Speaker 1: we talked about other people that came up, Eva Mendez,
- 40:39Speaker 1: and but it's all good stuff, you know, it's not
- 40:42Speaker 1: touch or like lies and rumors and try to like
- 40:45Speaker 1: bring people down to story people like that's not my.
- 40:48Speaker 2: By the way, the only person that I share information
- 40:52Speaker 2: with is you and my husband and it's always just
- 40:56Speaker 2: to keep each other abreast and share information and keep
- 41:00Speaker 2: each other up to what's happening and what's going on,
- 41:02Speaker 2: and then maybe comment like what do you think, just
- 41:04Speaker 2: like we're doing right now right, And I think it's
- 41:07Speaker 2: also we're actually bonding.
- 41:10Speaker 1: I think, you know, meando and gossiping a little bit.
- 41:12Speaker 1: It's like it brings people closer together and you gets
- 41:15Speaker 1: stop off your chest that you just you need to
- 41:18Speaker 1: sometimes you need to talk to someone. Like I said,
- 41:20Speaker 1: it's like free therapy. I think it's super therapeutic. My
- 41:23Speaker 1: mom was a psychiatrist. Was always like she got home
- 41:26Speaker 1: and like it was a jealous We had to give
- 41:29Speaker 1: her like like an hour like before she was ready
- 41:31Speaker 1: for us, and it was and we would be like, Mommy,
- 41:34Speaker 1: aren't you tired. You're like all day listening to people's problems,
- 41:37Speaker 1: and then you come home and your friends are calling
- 41:38Speaker 1: you to and it's like an hour or two on
- 41:41Speaker 1: the phone like to talk to all her friends. And yeah,
- 41:44Speaker 1: So I felt like it was always like something good.
- 41:46Speaker 1: I always saw it was always like in a happy, supportive,
- 41:50Speaker 1: good way. It was never like something negative, you know.
- 41:53Speaker 1: It was always just so like it was kind of
- 41:55Speaker 1: like storytelling.
- 41:56Speaker 2: Well, that's what we do. But there's a lot of
- 41:59Speaker 2: people that like just spread negative gossip. And you know
- 42:02Speaker 2: what they say, there's no greater bond than two people
- 42:05Speaker 2: coming together over a mutual disdain for a third party.
- 42:10Speaker 2: That is, it's a tough way. It's true, but it's true.
- 42:14Speaker 2: It's true, and it happens on our show a lot too,
- 42:16Speaker 2: and all the shows you get two people that don't
- 42:19Speaker 2: like one person, there's nothing more powerful than that they
- 42:22Speaker 2: will not stop to take you down. And that's the
- 42:25Speaker 2: bad type of gossip. I don't like that kind of gossip, right, No.
- 42:29Speaker 1: I mean, like to me, that's not even gossip because
- 42:32Speaker 1: like what we're talking about is what we're just talking about,
- 42:36Speaker 1: is you know, like we said, just like talking about
- 42:40Speaker 1: like what happened or did you see if we went
- 42:42Speaker 1: to like a party or like you know coming you know,
- 42:45Speaker 1: just comment on whatever on like the house, on the people,
- 42:48Speaker 1: and you know, just like silly fun stuff like that,
- 42:51Speaker 1: just like lighthearted Well obviously do I mean, I mean,
- 42:55Speaker 1: if we do see like a man that's a married
- 42:58Speaker 1: man flirting with somebody or he's not there with his wife,
- 43:00Speaker 1: we're also going to comment on that. But that's ignore,
- 43:04Speaker 1: but we're not gonna like publish it or whatever. We'll
- 43:06Speaker 1: commented between us. Oh my god, did you see that guy?
- 43:08Speaker 1: He's married, but he was like flirting the whole time
- 43:10Speaker 1: with this woman and the all one wasn't paying attention
- 43:12Speaker 1: to the man. So it's a little bit like of everything,
- 43:15Speaker 1: but always like in a good way. So anyway, it's
- 43:18Speaker 1: good for our health. Yeah, I actually so, I was
- 43:22Speaker 1: telling my cleaning lady was more like a mom to me. Oh,
- 43:26Speaker 1: I thought you were gonna say that she was actually Moosa.
- 43:28Speaker 2: No, well she likes the gossip too, okay, but she
- 43:32Speaker 2: was telling me as I was telling her about this
- 43:34Speaker 2: topic because we liked her and I like to chat
- 43:36Speaker 2: a lot, and she's like, Na, my daughter's mother in
- 43:41Speaker 2: law is the biggest chie Mosa and she's gonna turn
- 43:45Speaker 2: one hundred and one years.
- 43:47Speaker 1: Old because she gets it all out right.
- 43:52Speaker 2: Yeah, she gets it all out all day long.
- 43:54Speaker 1: You're just validating her emotions because it's like you get
- 43:57Speaker 1: it out. And besides that, imagine me all day in
- 44:00Speaker 1: a chi me too, because the beauty bar, yeah, the salon,
- 44:05Speaker 1: and with like latinas working there all day long, it's
- 44:07Speaker 1: like Achi may in and out, like the clients come,
- 44:10Speaker 1: make go with they leave with everybody. But but it's fun,
- 44:14Speaker 1: you know, I think it's it just like keeps us going.
- 44:17Speaker 2: Yeah, that you probably have a lot of great stories
- 44:20Speaker 2: you could turn into like short stories for like Netflix,
- 44:23Speaker 2: from all the gens. What I'm the brabo, what I'm
- 44:26Speaker 2: being pitching my own show at the beauty bar. Yeah,
- 44:30Speaker 2: you should do that, but you need to those stories
- 44:33Speaker 2: could be developed in something bigger because people come in
- 44:35Speaker 2: with stories and you're like, I can't believe that the
- 44:37Speaker 2: things that you hear in the street, you would never
- 44:40Speaker 2: think were actually really happening in real life.
- 44:43Speaker 1: But you can slugetto can talk right, and the people
- 44:51Speaker 1: in the salon, Yeah, when you're trying a gi met
- 44:53Speaker 1: So it's like it's I'm like all day long listening
- 44:57Speaker 1: to gossip.
- 44:58Speaker 2: Listen. I'm not encouraging this behavior, but maybe it's a
- 45:01Speaker 2: way to cheat death. Yeah, yeah, if you're gonna live longer,
- 45:07Speaker 2: we could cheat death by just being big gossips. So
- 45:10Speaker 2: who's the first person that you call.
- 45:14Speaker 1: Have a gossip?
- 45:15Speaker 2: It's pretty much you and Steve saying it.
- 45:18Speaker 1: No, I know I was going to tell you the
- 45:19Speaker 1: same whatever I have to say, like, wait, I have
- 45:22Speaker 1: to call Marasol.
- 45:23Speaker 2: Because I know and I tell you it dies right there,
- 45:25Speaker 2: it's over and Steve doesn't talk to anyone, so it's
- 45:28Speaker 2: dead saying yeah, yeah, I know whatever.
- 45:31Speaker 1: It could be the same. I call you, and I
- 45:33Speaker 1: call Johnny and Jonathan. Oh well your list is longer, no,
- 45:38Speaker 1: because I need a lot of validation, you know what
- 45:40Speaker 1: I mean. I'm very emotional passionate, so I have to
- 45:43Speaker 1: get like three different perspectives, right. But yeah, I've always
- 45:47Speaker 1: been a communicator. I've always like to talk and and
- 45:50Speaker 1: I think it's very good that you just like get
- 45:52Speaker 1: it out there. But there are people it's different, like
- 45:56Speaker 1: I don't know, like well yeah.
- 45:57Speaker 2: Because I mean I think when we talk and share
- 46:00Speaker 2: information with each other, we're just trying to like get
- 46:02Speaker 2: a reaffirmation of what we're thinking and feeling.
- 46:05Speaker 1: Oh you know what the word is and like yeah,
- 46:09Speaker 1: you know what I mean. So that it's different from
- 46:10Speaker 1: like I can't even really say it, but you know
- 46:14Speaker 1: what I mean, Yeah, I remember that word. Some tangles
- 46:17Speaker 1: things and twist things and then changes it all because
- 46:20Speaker 1: they cause a lot of right, that's what a lot
- 46:23Speaker 1: of problems like you can repeat something or like you know,
- 46:26Speaker 1: gossip and you know a little bit, but you know
- 46:28Speaker 1: out whateveruento storytelling. But once you start things and manipulating,
- 46:35Speaker 1: that's what I don't like. Yeah, those are the tanglers.
- 46:39Speaker 1: That is no danger in tanglers I don't like.
- 46:42Speaker 2: Yeah, well that's very dangerous because people die. People can
- 46:45Speaker 2: die if you get someone angry enough because you're twisting
- 46:49Speaker 2: a lie and pressing their buttons and their emotions. People
- 46:53Speaker 2: die like that or they take their own life because
- 46:55Speaker 2: they can't take it.
- 46:56Speaker 1: In a real frissure and a real friend group, we're
- 46:58Speaker 1: all like gmosa, like in a good way. It's all
- 47:01Speaker 1: like fun stories, like happy whatever. It's not like, you know,
- 47:06Speaker 1: we were very blessed because we do have a great
- 47:08Speaker 1: friend group that they're all like good listeners and we
- 47:11Speaker 1: talk and we laugh and we support each other. But
- 47:14Speaker 1: it's not like that, you know what I think, which
