First, let's pray. Dear Lord, please be with us as

we read through this chapter. Please let your Holy Spirit open

our eyes, our ears, our hearts, our minds, and everything to You

as we read through this and give us insight and wisdom so that we

understand this and take this to heart.

We ask this in Jesus name, Amen. It says the Lord comes and

reigns. A day of the Lord is coming,

Jerusalem, when your possessions will be plundered and divided up

within your very walls. I will gather all the nations to
0:42
Jerusalem to fight against it. This city will be captured, the
0:49
houses ransacked, and the women raped Halt.

Half of the city will go into exile, but the rest of the
0:58
people will not be taken from the city.

Then the Lord will go out and fight against those nations as

he fights on a day of battle. On that day his feet will stand

on the Mount of Olives east of Jerusalem, and the Mount of

Olives will be split in two from east to West, forming a great

valley with half of the mountain moving north and half moving S

You will flee by my mountain valley, for it will extend to

Azel. You will flee as you fled from

the earthquake quake in the days of Uzziah, king of Judah.

Then the Lord my God will come, and all the holy ones with him.

On that day there will be neither sunlight nor cold,

frosty darkness. It will be a unique day, a day

known only to the Lord, with no distinction between day and

night. When evening comes, there will

be light. On that day, living water will

flow out from Jerusalem, half of it east to the Dead Sea and half

of it West to the Mediterranean Sea.

In summer and in winter the Lord will be king over the whole

earth. On that day there will be 1 Lord

and His name, the only name. The whole land from Giba to

Rimmon South of Jerusalem will become like Araba.

But Jerusalem will be raised up high from the Benjamin Gate to

the site of the first gate and to the corner gate, and from the

Tower of Hannanal to the royal wine presses, and will remain in

its place. It will be inhabited.

Never again will it be destroyed.

Jerusalem will be secure. This is the plague with which

the Lord will strike all the nations that fought against

Jerusalem. Their flesh will rot while they

are standing on their feet. Their eyes will rot in their

sockets and their tongues will rot in their mouths.

On that day the people will be stricken by the Lord with great

panic. They will seize each other by
3:30
the hand and attack one another. Judah, too, will fight at

Jerusalem. The wealth of all the

surrounding nations will be collected, great quantities of

gold and silver and clothing. A similar plague will strike the

horses and mules, the camels and donkeys, and all the animals in
3:49
those camps. Then the survivors from all the
3:54
nations that have attacked Jerusalem will go up year after
3:58
year to worship the King, the Lord Almighty, and to celebrate

the festival of Tabernacles. If any of the people of the
4:08
earth do not go up to Jerusalem to worship the King, the Lord
4:12
Almighty, they will have no reign.

If the Egyptian people do not go up and take part, they will have
4:21
no reign. The Lord will bring on them the
4:24
plague He inflicts on the nations that do not go up to
4:29
celebrate the Festival of Tabernacles.

This will be the punishment of Egypt and the punishment of all
4:37
the nations that do not go up to celebrate the Festival of
4:41
Tabernacles on that day. Holy to the Lord will be
4:48
inscribed on the bells of the horses and the cook pot.

Cooking pots in the Lord's house will be like the sacred bowls in
4:58
front of the altar. Every pot in Jerusalem and Judah

will be holy to the Lord Almighty, and all who come to
5:08
sacrifice will take some of the pots and cook in them, and on
5:12
that day there will no longer be a Canaanite in the House of the
5:17
Lord Almighty. That is the end of the book of
5:20
Zechariah chapter 14. I will read what the study Bible

has to say and then I just have a few different verses in
5:28
Scripture. So let's see.

It starts with see chapter 14 What is the Day of the Lord?

This refers to a time when the Lord will be vindicated and His
5:41
wrath will be unleashed against those who opposed Him.

At the same time, His grace will be poured out on those who

belong to Him. Why would God cause an attack on

Jerusalem only to defend against it?

Though God may use Pagan nations as instruments of His wrath,

they are not exempt from judgment for their wickedness.

So God brings the nations in judgment against Jerusalem, but

also turns judgment back on the unrighteous nations.

Will the mountain? Will the Mount of Olives

literally be split in two? Some envision A monumental
6:17
earthquake that will split the Mount of Olives from east to
6:21
West. This would make escape from
6:23
Jerusalem much more accessible through a valley rather than
6:28
over a mountain. Others take a figurative
6:31
approach and see here a picture of God providing a way of escape
6:34
for His people. So the only thing that I would
6:37
say is that in the Book of Revelation, when Jesus returns,

there is a great earthquake. So that does seem to align with
6:45
the literal event of this, but we will only know in hindsight.

But that's found in I think Revelation chapter 6, the 6th

seal. So or not, I don't know.

That's where, that's where my mind when.

I'll have to double check and make sure that's where it is.

What was this earthquake? We have no details on this

earthquake except that it occurred during Uzziah's reign

in Amos chapter one, verse one. The fact that it was remembered

approximately 200 years later suggests it caused significant

damage. Who are the holy ones who will

come with God? This may refer to angels or the

righteous dead brought back to life, or both.

And that's found that references First Thessalonians chapter 3,

verse 13. So what is living water?

Living water refers to fresh spring water in contrast to

water collected and held in cisterns.

Since water in Israel was in short supply, the inhabitants

would have had a keen awareness of how essential water is to

life. Well, and I have more to add.

I think we talked about this in the last chapter is that Christ

is known as the living water and he is the one who gives the

living water. We saw that when he had the the

account where he was speaking with the woman by the well and

he told the woman by the well that he would give her the

living water. I did cover that in a prior

chapter, so I won't go over that again.

What is the Araba? This is the low lying, dry

region that stretches from Mount Hermon to the Red Sea.

It includes the lowest elevation on Earth.

The Dead Sea, whose surface is about 1300 feet below sea level,

is located in this region. How do these prophecies apply to

us? The Minor Prophets address

Israel in the homeless, hopeless ruin of exile.

Many people today are also in exile in that they live far from

God in their sinful lives. Their dreams, plans, and false

gods leave them spiritually homeless and hopeless.

Though the sin of serving other gods is serious, we need not to

despair because our hope is not in ourselves, but in God.

He continues to love us and to extend His promises to us so

that He might forgive us, embrace us, and bring us home.

We just need that change of heart to Him.

Instead of rebelling against Him, we need to repent and turn

to Him. So what kind of plague will God

send? This is a apocalyptic imagery

that describes the awfulness of the day of the Lord.

The word translated plague could also mean a in quotations a

blow. So the emphasis is not

necessarily on specific kind of plague, but is rather a blow of

judgment that comes from God. So I've heard this before.

I didn't make this part up, but it does seem to really indicate

this. And, and today, 2026, March of

2026, this seems even more possible than before.

I'm going to read the plague again.

This is verse 12, and it says this plague with which the Lord

will strike all the nations that fought against Jerusalem.

So again, this is not a good thing to fight against

Jerusalem. Their flesh will rot while they

are standing on their feet, their eyes will rot in their

sockets, and their tongue will rot in their mouths.

On that day, people will be stricken by the Lord with great

panic. Does this sound like something

that could happen from a nuclear blast?

I mean, is that the plague? Is that the blow?

Is it a nuclear blow? I don't know.

I mean, we'll only know in hindsight, but it sure does

sound like that. And back in the time when this

was written, the book of Zechariah that was written, I

mean, the book of Zechariah was written about 520 to 480 BC.

So they had no knowledge of nuclear capacity.

But look at us today. So this again, was not something

that I thought of, but I heard it and it does really sound like

this. And gosh, what's happening right

now in the Middle East? This is it certainly leads a lot

of people who know the Bible to say this.

These are like alarms that are sounding to pay attention what's

going on to the Middle East because it just seems like these

kinds of things could really happen any day.

Will temple worship in Jerusalem be re established someday?

Some think it will, others do not.

Those who think worship will be will be re established point out

that the Festival of Tabernacles was a time for celebrating the

harvest. What better way to celebrate?

These are those gathered from the nations into God's Kingdom.

Those who do not think it will be re established say that there

is no reason to turn the clock back and to a time before the
11:48
sacrifice of the Messiah. Also, Jesus himself said that

the time would come, and even then come when believers would
11:55
no longer worship in a specific place, the temple, but would

worship God in spirit and in truth.

That's found in John 421 through 24.

I think all of that could be true because I do believe that

you know, not one, you know, one word will go away.

Heaven and earth may pass away, but my words will remain.

That's what Jesus said and not one.

And he didn't, he didn't come to take away anything that had been

written by the prophets or anything, but he came to fulfill

it. So I, I'm one who believes that

the things that are talked about by Zechariah all the way back in

the BC time frame are still for future to happen because Jesus

has not returned yet and these things have not happened.

And Jesus will fulfill what Zechariah has said.

And so we don't, we don't understand why there's

sacrifices, but it's, there's so much detail in the book of

Ezekiel about the temple and the description and that God wanted

it written down. If God wanted to, if God didn't

care about the temple, he would not have told Ezekiel about

this. I just really think that, I

mean, if you say that the temple, the third temple or the

temple described in Ezekiel, which is not the temple that's
13:21
designed by the temple institute currently.

So it's different. It's much larger.

And if that, you know, why would God's he wouldn't, you know,

spend his time and go into specific detail, very much like
13:37
he did for Moses on Mount Sinai when he gave him the detail of

all of the, of the Tabernacle and everything that he was

supposed to design for or put together for worship of the

Lord. And you know, he was, and he was

like, write this down, like be very specific, like remember

this. And the same goes to Ezekiel.

That's what he said. So God wouldn't waste his time

saying that if he didn't mean it.

So I believe there will be that temple someday.

And you know, there is there is scripture that indicates that

the Messiah would build the temple.

So maybe it is something that Jesus does when he returns.

And maybe that's what happens during part of that thousand

years, besides all the cleanup everywhere from all the war

that's going on right now. Anyway, it I, I take God's word

for what it says and I do see symbolism.

So I don't take everything literal.

But I've also found that a lot of times things have literal

fulfillment, but they also have symbolic fulfillment, just like

when Jesus was talking to he's, I mean, when they reach, I guess

John 421 through 24 is actually the woman from the well.

I don't know where that's found. But I do know that when he was

speaking with her, he did tell her that there will be a time

when they worship in spirit, that there won't really be the

temple. And I believe right now, that is

that time right now where we are worshipping God in spirit.

We don't have a temple. It was it came about when Jesus

sent the Advocate that he promised his disciples when he

sent the Holy Spirit and, and when he prayed to the Father

before he died and he said God make them one as we are one or I

want them to be 1 as we are one. I think that's only possible

through the Holy Spirit. If we do not have the Holy

Spirit, we are not connected to God.

We our lives and we can't change our lives.

We are just, we are in this like broken state and we need the

Holy Spirit in order for our lives to change.

And Jesus emphasized it. And I just, I think it's just

been lost in a lot of churches about the Holy Spirit and how

important the Holy Spirit is. The Holy Spirit comes through

Jesus, Jesus himself. A lot of people like to, you

know, just say, oh, you know, it's just that Jesus death on

the cross is all we need. You're adding to it or
16:09
something. And I'm not adding to it.

I am repeating what Jesus said in John chapter 3.

He said that no one can enter the Kingdom of God unless they

are born again, born of the Spirit.

And and then there were times where people like in the Bible

history, because I paid attention to this about baptism.

Now baptism is when people make that commitment to Christ, when

they make it public, when they make that to God, then they they

repent. It says that John's baptism was

a baptism of repentance. Once a person truly repents and

turns to God, that is when we can receive the Holy Spirit, but

not until we fully repent. And the way that the Holy Spirit

comes to us is through Jesus. So we must believe in Jesus.

If we don't believe in Jesus, if we don't believe that Jesus is

the Son of God, do you think Jesus is going to give us the

Holy Spirit? We see that example in the book

of Acts when people were baptized and they did not

receive the Holy Spirit until a few of the disciples then prayed

over them and asked for the Holy Spirit.

So we've seen that the Holy Spirit can come.

The Holy Spirit came to a group of Gentiles.

Non Jewish people came to them before they even got baptized

because I guess in their hearts they were turned towards God and

he not. He knew that, and he gave them

the Holy Spirit. And then they wanted to get

baptized. And the disciples were saying,

you know, they're already like showing evidence of the Holy

Spirit. We can't keep them from baptism.

They already have the Holy Spirit.

So the Holy Spirit can come before we see when Jesus was

baptized, the Holy Spirit, the you know, the Holy Spirit

descended. It looked like a dove and people

visually saw that. And then the Father spoke at the

same time. Like that is one place where you

see all the Trinity together at the baptism of Jesus.

And, and I believe that was like symbolic to show people that you

know. And Jesus said also that John's

baptism was a baptism of repentance.

And John himself even said that the one who comes after me will

baptized in the Spirit. Well, that was Jesus.

Jesus is the one who baptized with the Spirit, the Holy

Spirit. And like Jesus said in John

chapter 3 that we must be born again.

We must have the Holy Spirit to enter the Kingdom of God.

So I think the time is now that we are worshipping God in spirit

like we are repentant. We've received the Holy Spirit

and everything that we do for God is worship.

Every time that we do anything that we believe that God has

told us to do that aligns with the Bible, that like caring for

another person, any selfless act for the benefit of another

person, anything that we do in that regard is evidence of the

Holy Spirit where it's not about us, it's about the other person

and there is true love for the other person.

That's the way God is completely selfless.

That's why Jesus died so that we could also be in the Kingdom of

God later later on. So anyway, I will go back to the

questions and answers here there's let's see, when were the

Canaanites ever in the temple? They probably weren't.

Canaanite can also be translated merchant.

Because Canaanites were notorious for their deceitful

business practices, they may represent anyone who is morally

or spiritually unclean, anyone who is not included among the

chosen people of God. Others think that this may

indicate God's displeasure with merchants doing business in the

temple area. We do not know that merchants

had worked in the temple precincts.

We know that merchants worked in the temple precincts during the

time of Jesus according to John chapter 2, verses 13 through 16.

So one thing that I, I don't know this must have been it's,

it's somewhat unrelated, but it was something I had written in

this book when I first read Zechariah.

I don't know when, but I wrote down Revelation 222.

And so I will, I will read that it says so I will cast her on a

bed of suffering and I will make those who commit adultery with

Repentance is so important right now.

We need to repent before we can receive the Holy Spirit.

We don't have to clean up our lives first because that would

be impossible to do these things.

The you know, we need the Holy Spirit.

We just have to want, we have to want to change.

We have to reject. We have to come into agreement

with God and say, yes, God, I agree with you.

I want to be your child. I want to get rid of all this

stuff that you don't like. That's in my life.

Help me to see what it is. Help me to overcome this.

And that's how the Holy Spirit helps us.

Now, this verse in Revelation 222 is about Jezebel.

Now interesting enough that John wrote this in about 90 AD.

Jezebel actually was gone in about 842 BC.

So this is like about almost 1000 years later, right?

No, not 1000, almost like 100. You know, somewhere around 100

years later, somewhere around that.

And anyway, so it obviously wasn't this specific woman,

Jezebel, because he wouldn't be giving a warning to Jezebel.

So Jezebel is symbolic of a, that kind of a spirit.

And I, I just want to read this to you because I think this

applies to us today. I'm going to read Revelation to

the Church in Thyatira, to the Angel of the Church in Thyatira.

Write this or write. These are the words of the of

the Son of God, whose eyes are like blazing fire and whose feet

are like burnished bronze. So these are the words of God.

These are the words of the Son of God.

These are the words of Jesus. Listen to what Jesus says.

I know your deeds, your love and faith, your service and

perseverance, and that you are now doing more than you did it

first. So he's seeing a change.

There's a lot of, like, good things that are coming out of

this church, he says. Nevertheless, I have this

against you. You tolerate that woman Jezebel,

who calls herself a prophet. By her teaching, she misleads my

servants into sexual immorality and the eating of food

sacrificed to idols. I have given her time to repent

of her immorality, but she is unwilling.

So I will cast her on a bed of suffering, and I will make those

who commit adultery with her suffer intensely unless they

repent of her ways. I will strike her children dead.

Then all the churches will know that I am he who searches hearts

and minds, and I will repay each of you according to your deeds.

Now I say to the rest of you in Thyatira, to you who do not hold

to her teaching and have not learned Satan's so-called deep

secrets, I will not impose any other burden on you except to

hold on to what you have until I come to the one who is

victorious and does my will to the end.

I will give authority over the nation's that one will rule with

an iron scepter and will dash them to pieces like pottery.

Just as I have received authority from my father, I will

also give that one the Morning Star.

Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the

churches. And that's the end.

Now that's a pretty bold statement right now that a lot

of people in our world would not like to hear because it it does
25:36
speak out against probably more so about sexual immorality.

I don't there's probably less people who are eating food
25:45
sacrifice to idols. However, there are a lot of
25:48
religions that have food prepared in a certain way where
25:54
it is in the name of something else, which is an idol.

And, and so there is that still going on today.

But then there's a sexual immorality that I think effects

way more people than those that then the people who are eating
26:11
food sacrifice to idols. But these are things that are
26:14
happening. Both of these things are
26:16
happening today. And, and just pay attention to
26:21
this is these are the words of Jesus.

This is what Jesus is saying. He said I have given her time to

repent of her immorality, but she is unwilling.

So because she's unwilling, he says so.

So I will cast her on a bed of suffering and I will make those
26:39
who commit adultery with her suffer intensely unless they

repent of her ways. So repentance is the way out of
26:48
it. And it's we have to reject the
26:52
things that God says are not according to his will.

And if we are suffering because of that, it could be because of
27:03
that because we have not let that go.

And God disciplines his children out of love.

He wants repentance. He wants us to turn back to him.

He's not doing it because he enjoys punishment.

He's doing it to wake us up because heaven and hell is real.

And we need to wake up to this and not treat these things

lightly. It's the enemy of God who is
27:28
seeking to kill and destroy. So the enemy of God is going to

make all of us think, oh, it's OK, it's OK.

It's not a big deal because the enemy wants to destroy us.

The enemy does not want you in God's Kingdom.

But Jesus is telling us, don't listen to the enemy.

I'm telling you, you need to repent.

And that's what Jesus is telling us.

So I think all of us need to take this to heart because if we

look out at the world, the world does not, it's not strict like

this. And and when we say strict like

this, freedom is distorted because if we abide in Christ,

if we live according to God's will as a result of the Holy

Spirit working in US, we will have freedom.

We will have freedom from the bondage of slavery.

We are a slave to sin until we reject it and we turn to God.

So I just think this is a huge warning for people and it's that

we need to repent and turn to Christ.

Now when you go back, there was one more thing that I wanted to

read and it's about the Lord coming and reigning and it's
28:51
similar to what Jesus said. So I want to read Matthew 24 and

I think everyone should read Matthew 24 really slowly and

read what he says. So I'm just going to start at

the beginning of Matthew 24 and read through it and that'll

that'll wrap up this chapter. So this is talking about the

destruction of the temple and the signs of the end times.

Jesus left the temple and was walking away when his disciples

came up to him to call his attention to its buildings.

Do you see all these things? He asked.

Truly, I tell you, not one stone here will be left on another.

Everyone will be thrown down. As Jesus was sitting on the

Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately.

Tell us they said when will this happen and what will be the sign

of your coming and the end of the age.

So the ancient Essenes had a belief that there was going to

be 6000 years that were allocated for mankind.

And then in the 7th, the 7000 years from I guess 6, just past

the 6000 mark to 7000 was when Christ was going to reign.

And it really does line up. I mean, it's it just the pattern

repeats the pattern of creation on the 7th day God rested the

seven days of the week, the Sabbath Jesus will bring Jesus

is Lord of the Sabbath, Jesus is the Sabbath, Jesus brings us

rest. So on that 7th day, the set in a

day is like 1000 years to the Lord and 1000 years like a day.

All of this stuff lines up. So the big question then is

where are we today? So I will recommend to you as

We will have to wait and see. There's a Pharisee date that the

There's a few 100 years before you get to the year 6000.

However, there was someone who changed the date and it was it

It could be a lot sooner. There's also the question of the
