- 0:00Speaker 1: What do you mean you don't have a boyfriend?
- 0:01Speaker 2: You're so pretty.
- 0:02Speaker 3: What do you mean you have zero men in your phone?
- 0:05Speaker 3: What do you mean you've gone eight months without... What
- 0:08Speaker 3: do you mean?
- 0:08Speaker 4: That makes no sense.
- 0:10Speaker 3: Yeah, well, combined pretty with intelligent, strong, successful, slaying at life,
- 0:15Speaker 3: you've got a very terrifying woman on your hands. A
- 0:18Speaker 3: very not easy woman on your.
- 0:21Speaker 4: Hands, right?
- 0:22Speaker 5: Got it. So you're a bitch. See how easy that was?
- 0:25Speaker 6: Because I feel like I wouldn't describe myself as slaying
- 0:28Speaker 6: at life If I was filming videos in my car
- 0:31Speaker 6: talking about how lonely I am because no one wants
- 0:33Speaker 6: to put up with me.
- 0:35Speaker 3: Men do not like me. Men are very, very terrified
- 0:37Speaker 3: of me. And the men who do like me, the
- 0:40Speaker 3: ones that are attracted to me, are unavailable and uggo, uggo, uggo,
- 0:45Speaker 3: uggo weirdos. Because at the end of the day, I
- 0:48Speaker 3: am merely just a fantasy because of the pretty and scary.
- 0:52Speaker 4: So yes, babe, I'm alone.
- 0:55Speaker 2: I'm very, very, very, very, very single.
- 0:57Speaker 5: Holy shit, that was Cope.
- 0:59Speaker 6: Now, she was mean and conceited in that video, but
- 1:02Speaker 6: I actually kind of feel bad for her because she
- 1:03Speaker 6: has a way of viewing the world that's either going
- 1:06Speaker 6: to keep her single or involve her in numerous toxic
- 1:08Speaker 6: relationships until she figures out her problem in her mid
- 1:11Speaker 6: to late 30s, if she figures it out. And well, actually,
- 1:15Speaker 6: I'm not that sad about it because I'm also a
- 1:17Speaker 6: big fan of watching people get what they deserve. However,
- 1:20Speaker 6: she is using a lot of pre-programmed phrasing like I'm
- 1:23Speaker 6: so intimidating, so it's hard for me to say how
- 1:25Speaker 6: much of this personality she's developed is her fault.
- 1:28Speaker 5: Especially with stuff like this.
- 1:29Speaker 7: If you look through the self-help section in the bookstore
- 1:32Speaker 7: and you look at books targeted toward men versus targeted
- 1:35Speaker 7: toward women, the message is very different. A lot of
- 1:37Speaker 7: like the male self-help books are like a lot of
- 1:41Speaker 7: stoic stuff. Like, you know, you need to learn how
- 1:43Speaker 7: to become more focused or more disciplined, you know, a
- 1:45Speaker 7: lot of self-sufficiency kind of stuff. Whereas the self-help targeted
- 1:49Speaker 7: toward women, it's not, you know, you're nothing right now,
- 1:53Speaker 7: but if you work really hard, maybe you can turn
- 1:55Speaker 7: yourself into something with effort. It's more so, you know,
- 1:58Speaker 7: you're already great as you are, but the problem is
- 2:00Speaker 7: that you just keep beating yourself up and that the
- 2:02Speaker 7: world just hasn't recognized how great you are because you
- 2:05Speaker 7: keep holding yourself back mentally from accepting that you're great.
- 2:08Speaker 6: Right, so what you're describing here is narcissism. These books
- 2:12Speaker 6: are taking women who are in search of help and
- 2:13Speaker 6: teaching them to be narcissists. It's like corporatized fantasy fulfillment
- 2:17Speaker 6: for money in the self-help department because one person who
- 2:20Speaker 6: is struggling doesn't want to hear that they're already great
- 2:23Speaker 6: and actually they don't have to do any work to
- 2:25Speaker 6: make their lives better. I find it kind of predatory
- 2:28Speaker 6: and messed up that so many companies have figured out
- 2:30Speaker 6: that you can make tons of money selling people stuff
- 2:33Speaker 6: that they think is working but doesn't actually work. And
- 2:36Speaker 6: speaking of that, this transitions well into this video's sponsor. Recently,
- 2:40Speaker 6: a jury ordered Meta and YouTube to pay millions for
- 2:43Speaker 6: their role in designing and promoting addictive platforms. They knew
- 2:46Speaker 6: their apps could contribute to anxiety, depression, and body image issues,
- 2:50Speaker 6: but did not share those risks while prioritizing profits. If
- 2:54Speaker 6: you or your child spent years growing up on social
- 2:56Speaker 6: media and experienced serious mental health struggles, you should hear this.
- 3:01Speaker 6: Morgan & Morgan is stepping up to hold these platforms
- 3:03Speaker 6: accountable for the harm they caused. You can use the
- 3:06Speaker 6: link in my description or scan the QR code to
- 3:09Speaker 6: take a short quiz to see if you qualify for
- 3:11Speaker 6: a case. Alright, so a bunch of corporatized and fake
- 3:14Speaker 6: self-help for women is why you have so many people
- 3:17Speaker 6: who are like this.
- 3:18Speaker 3: So, I would say about 83% of the people on
- 3:22Speaker 3: this airplane.
- 3:30Speaker 6: I have no idea who this is. Was I supposed
- 3:38Speaker 6: to recognize her? You know, I've been in this content
- 3:41Speaker 6: creator industry for a while now, and I have yet
- 3:43Speaker 6: to meet someone who goes outside hoping people will know
- 3:46Speaker 6: who they are. But when it comes to men's self-improvement,
- 3:49Speaker 6: there are some bad eggs out there, but for the
- 3:51Speaker 6: most part, you can trust that you're going to get
- 3:53Speaker 6: something that will lead you into the right direction if
- 3:55Speaker 6: you work hard, you self-reflect, and you discipline yourself to
- 3:58Speaker 6: not fall into your bad habits. However, more often than not,
- 4:02Speaker 6: and you'll probably see this if you watch a lot
- 4:03Speaker 6: of my videos, but more often than not, I see
- 4:06Speaker 6: girls on TikTok or books that just give women the
- 4:08Speaker 6: worst advice possible It's really just this corporatized bullshit that's
- 4:12Speaker 6: more about figuring out a message that gets you follows
- 4:15Speaker 6: or will cause customers to give you money than it
- 4:17Speaker 6: is about saying something that will actually help these people
- 4:20Speaker 6: improve their lives.
- 4:21Speaker 1: Every airport ever has it.
- 4:23Speaker 8: These are books that will blow your brain up.
- 4:25Speaker 1: It's just fantastic.
- 4:26Speaker 7: Meditation, how to be a unicorn.
- 4:28Speaker 1: The subtle art.
- 4:29Speaker 5: Of not giving a fuck. Yeah, that's it right there.
- 4:33Speaker 1: I promise you, if you read this book, you'll be
- 4:35Speaker 1: worse off afterwards. More than 10 million copies sold.
- 4:38Speaker 8: The formula is you put something together that's inoffensive, but
- 4:42Speaker 8: it seems offensive.
- 4:43Speaker 1: It's just like corporatized virality.
- 4:46Speaker 6: I bet there are a lot of girls that came
- 4:48Speaker 6: across this book and they're like, it like found me.
- 4:50Speaker 1: Yeah. And they thought it was a sign.
- 4:52Speaker 5: Wait, I've read that book. He's right though, it wasn't
- 4:55Speaker 5: that useful.
- 4:56Speaker 6: And yeah, it speaks to you, because the people who
- 4:58Speaker 6: seek out self-help content tend to have like the same
- 5:00Speaker 6: five different personality profiles, and marketers have memorized what those are.
- 5:05Speaker 6: I'm not kidding when I say that these personality profiles
- 5:07Speaker 6: are well-known, as well as how to fix these people's problems.
- 5:11Speaker 6: This shit isn't a mystery, in fact, the solutions tend
- 5:13Speaker 6: to be very simple. But what is also well-known is
- 5:16Speaker 6: how to exploit these types of people, and how to
- 5:18Speaker 6: print money off of them. There's literally a book on
- 5:21Speaker 6: it called The 48 Laws of Power, And the basic
- 5:24Speaker 6: strategy is that as a self-help specialist, you know that
- 5:27Speaker 6: the real answer to like 90% of people's problems is
- 5:30Speaker 6: to stop being so lazy and put some hard work
- 5:32Speaker 6: in over an extended period of time. However, because so
- 5:35Speaker 6: many people want to take the easy way out, you
- 5:37Speaker 6: can actually exploit this by telling everyone that you have
- 5:40Speaker 6: some sort of secret answer to all the universe's questions
- 5:43Speaker 6: that will make everything easy for them, which is a
- 5:45Speaker 6: great strategy because not only will these people give you
- 5:48Speaker 6: a lot of money initially, But also, this kind of
- 5:51Speaker 6: advice will make them more mentally ill and cause them
- 5:54Speaker 6: to regularly need your services, which is why you see
- 5:57Speaker 6: tons of bullshit like this on TikTok.
- 5:59Speaker 9: You're gonna listen to what I'm about to say because
- 6:00Speaker 9: this is gonna change your fucking life.
- 6:02Speaker 10: Ever since I.
- 6:02Speaker 9: Started to do this, shit started flying at my face.
- 6:05Speaker 9: Ever since I can remember, I have always made it
- 6:08Speaker 9: a point to tell everyone I am so lucky. I
- 6:11Speaker 9: just always expect great things to happen to me.
- 6:14Speaker 10: And so they do.
- 6:15Speaker 9: And like, if it doesn't go the exact way that
- 6:16Speaker 9: I want it to go, then something better comes up
- 6:19Speaker 9: after it. I'm constantly saying great things are always happening
- 6:22Speaker 9: to me unexpectedly. I say this like on a regular basis.
- 6:25Speaker 9: I'm like, Oh my God, great things are always happening
- 6:26Speaker 9: to me unexpectedly. And I believe it when.
- 6:28Speaker 11: I say it.
- 6:29Speaker 9: So I think that also plays a huge role. Try
- 6:31Speaker 9: being delusional for a month and tell me if your
- 6:33Speaker 9: life doesn't change.
- 6:35Speaker 6: Right, I like how you can just go on the internet,
- 6:37Speaker 6: say a bunch of shit with no verifiable proof that
- 6:39Speaker 6: any of it happened, and tons of people who don't
- 6:41Speaker 6: know the scientific definition of a law will glaze you
- 6:44Speaker 6: like crazy. Well, if they aren't bots. And I mean,
- 6:47Speaker 6: this isn't the most honest way of doing things, but
- 6:49Speaker 6: I'm sure making shit up is a great way to
- 6:51Speaker 6: sell a book about manifestation that no one would have
- 6:54Speaker 6: bought otherwise. Though, at least she's not one of those
- 6:57Speaker 6: people who is telling her followers that she can control
- 6:59Speaker 6: the weather.
- 6:59Speaker 12: Raindances, do they work? Well, I tried it myself. So
- 7:04Speaker 12: a couple nights ago, it was sleeting so hard. So
- 7:08Speaker 12: I got up, I started walking around, dancing, and I
- 7:12Speaker 12: was saying, calm and soothe the storm, calm and soothe
- 7:15Speaker 12: the storm. And I was just imagining the energy of
- 7:17Speaker 12: the storm, just calming and slowing, calming and slowing. And
- 7:22Speaker 12: I kid you not, within a minute, it slowed down
- 7:26Speaker 12: and completely stopped. Could be a coincidence, but I don't
- 7:31Speaker 12: think so.
- 7:32Speaker 6: I mean, I wouldn't even say it's a coincidence, I
- 7:34Speaker 6: just think you're lying. There are many obvious ways to
- 7:36Speaker 6: try and prove your claims here, like filming yourself making
- 7:39Speaker 6: the rain stop, multiple times. But of course, all we
- 7:42Speaker 6: have is a personal anecdote of a person saying, yeah,
- 7:45Speaker 6: this crazy thing that is obviously not true totally works.
- 7:49Speaker 6: Though you might be asking, where did all this nonsense
- 7:52Speaker 6: about manifestations and affirmations come from? Well, the history might
- 7:56Speaker 6: be deeper than this, but certainly I think what popularized
- 7:59Speaker 6: this type of content in the modern day is one
- 8:02Speaker 6: of the greatest self-help scams to ever exist called The Secret.
- 8:06Speaker 13: All right, it is called The Secret, a little movie
- 8:08Speaker 13: that's sweeping the country one DVD at a time. People
- 8:12Speaker 13: who see it say it'll change their lives for the
- 8:14Speaker 13: better forever. And Amanda John visits a local place where
- 8:17Speaker 13: people are learning exactly what The Secret is.
- 8:21Speaker 6: Judging by the potato quality of that news report, I'm
- 8:23Speaker 6: sure you guys can guess that this is old. The
- 8:25Speaker 6: Secret is a book and a DVD that came out
- 8:28Speaker 6: in the 2000s, and I cannot tell you the levels
- 8:31Speaker 6: of how many people would not shut up about this
- 8:33Speaker 6: crap during that time period, as well as stuff like
- 8:35Speaker 6: this from the DVD.
- 8:37Speaker 14: And in 1995, I started to create something called a
- 8:40Speaker 14: vision board, where I take something that I would want
- 8:42Speaker 14: to achieve or something that I want to attract, like
- 8:45Speaker 14: a car or a watch or the soulmate of my dreams.
- 8:49Speaker 14: And I'd put a picture of what I wanted up
- 8:50Speaker 14: on this board called.
- 8:51Speaker 1: The vision board.
- 8:52Speaker 14: And every day I would sit in my office and
- 8:53Speaker 14: I would look up at this board and I would
- 8:54Speaker 14: start to visualize. I would really get into the state
- 8:57Speaker 14: of having already acquired it.
- 8:59Speaker 6: Okay, so instantly if you know anything about marketing, then
- 9:01Speaker 6: you know that this DVD is designed to prey on
- 9:03Speaker 6: women's psychology. I can imagine that creating collages and calling
- 9:07Speaker 6: that a vision board really sold to women who are
- 9:09Speaker 6: mentally ill and seeking actual help instead of predatory spiritual
- 9:13Speaker 6: bullshit that includes such experts as a visionary or a
- 9:17Speaker 6: philosopher or or a quantum physicist because that sounds like
- 9:20Speaker 6: a smart person's job, and they're all here to talk
- 9:23Speaker 6: about the law of attraction.
- 9:25Speaker 1: Thoughts become things.
- 9:27Speaker 14: What most people don't understand is a thought has a frequency.
- 9:30Speaker 14: Every thought has a frequency. We can measure a thought.
- 9:33Speaker 14: And so if you're thinking that thought over and over
- 9:35Speaker 14: and over again, or if you're imagining in your mind, okay,
- 9:38Speaker 14: having that brand new car, having the money that you need,
- 9:40Speaker 14: building that company, finding your soulmate, If you imagine what
- 9:43Speaker 14: that looks like, you're emitting that frequency on a consistent basis.
- 9:47Speaker 1: See yourself living in abundance and you will attract it.
- 9:52Speaker 1: It always works. It works every time with every person.
- 9:56Speaker 6: If you pay attention here, you can see the fundamental
- 9:58Speaker 6: trick that's going on. which is that people in this
- 10:01Speaker 6: self-help DVD have taken something that is partially true and
- 10:05Speaker 6: corrupted it to make money and then said a bunch
- 10:08Speaker 6: of smart words to make it sound official.
- 10:10Speaker 13: And you do that through neuroplasticity and building the pathway,
- 10:14Speaker 13: giving yourself the examples.
- 10:16Speaker 6: Neuroplasticity, that sounds scientific, right? Okay, she must read a
- 10:20Speaker 6: lot of research, so I'll believe everything she says. Anyway,
- 10:23Speaker 6: great lies always have some sort of truth to them,
- 10:26Speaker 6: and what I mean by that is that this DVD
- 10:28Speaker 6: of The Secret is selling the Law of Attraction, and
- 10:30Speaker 6: though it's not actually a law, scientifically speaking, it is
- 10:34Speaker 6: a true idea psychologically. It's just, I think, therefore I am,
- 10:37Speaker 6: and that is a correct idea. Your thoughts do create
- 10:40Speaker 6: your reality, but where the lie is in all this
- 10:43Speaker 6: Law of Attraction manifestation bullshit... is the strong suggestion that
- 10:47Speaker 6: you can just think you will be successful, do nothing,
- 10:50Speaker 6: and that success will just come to you. That's called delusion,
- 10:53Speaker 6: and one of the most manipulative moments in the DVD
- 10:56Speaker 6: to make people believe in this is right here.
- 10:58Speaker 1: Now, if you don't understand it, it doesn't mean you
- 11:00Speaker 1: should reject it. You don't understand electricity, probably.
- 11:03Speaker 11: First of all, no one even knows what electricity is,
- 11:06Speaker 11: and yet you enjoy the benefits of it.
- 11:08Speaker 1: Do you know how it works?
- 11:10Speaker 6: Yes, I do know how electricity works. See what I
- 11:13Speaker 6: mean when I say that this DVD was targeted at
- 11:15Speaker 6: women who, thanks to feminists, we know don't have a
- 11:18Speaker 6: strong interest in STEM fields.
- 11:19Speaker 11: I don't know how it works, but I do know this,
- 11:22Speaker 11: that you can cook a man's dinner with electricity, and
- 11:25Speaker 11: you can also cook the man.
- 11:27Speaker 6: Again, the target audience is obviously women. Try to saw
- 11:30Speaker 6: that last line in the modern day. Though, along with
- 11:33Speaker 6: manipulative moments like this, and keeping in mind that I
- 11:35Speaker 6: do agree that your thoughts create your reality, that is
- 11:38Speaker 6: very true. However, the problem with things like The Secret
- 11:41Speaker 6: is that they specifically remove the nuances of how to
- 11:44Speaker 6: get good opportunities so that their advice won't work and
- 11:47Speaker 6: you'll keep buying their update courses on how you just
- 11:49Speaker 6: aren't manifesting hard enough. So to bring this back to
- 11:52Speaker 6: reality and back to things that work, the actual purpose
- 11:55Speaker 6: of managing your thoughts or I think therefore I am
- 11:58Speaker 6: is not to attract certain things to you. It is
- 12:01Speaker 6: instead a note to stop getting in your own way
- 12:03Speaker 6: because what actually stops you from achieving your goals is
- 12:06Speaker 6: anxiety and thinking that you can't achieve a nice life
- 12:09Speaker 6: with a stable family and community that enjoys you being around.
- 12:12Speaker 6: In fact, one of my biggest issues with The Secret
- 12:16Speaker 6: is that I preach a psychology that will give you
- 12:18Speaker 6: more anxiety.
- 12:19Speaker 1: The law of attraction is always working, whether you believe
- 12:22Speaker 1: it or understand it or not. It's always working.
- 12:25Speaker 2: Anytime your thoughts are flowing.
- 12:27Speaker 15: The law of attraction is operational.
- 12:29Speaker 4: Every time an individual has a thought, they're in the
- 12:31Speaker 4: creation process. Something is going to manifest out of those thoughts.
- 12:35Speaker 8: Law of attraction says, we'll give you whatever it is
- 12:37Speaker 8: you say and focus on. So if you're complaining about
- 12:40Speaker 8: how bad it is, what you're creating is more of
- 12:43Speaker 8: how bad it is.
- 12:44Speaker 6: I know enough about mental health to know that this
- 12:46Speaker 6: line of thinking will either cause OCD or heavily worsen
- 12:49Speaker 6: the mental state of people who have OCD and anxiety issues.
- 12:52Speaker 6: Nothing's going to trigger them more than telling them that
- 12:55Speaker 6: every small negative thought they have is putting them on
- 12:57Speaker 6: a bad timeline or whatever. In fact, this line of
- 13:00Speaker 6: argumentation makes me think that a part of their target
- 13:03Speaker 6: audience that they are preying on is women with anxiety
- 13:06Speaker 6: issues and, by the way, for what benefit? The vast
- 13:09Speaker 6: majority of the markers of success in The Secret are
- 13:11Speaker 6: material bullshit that will never make you happy.
- 13:14Speaker 15: So the law of attraction, the study and practice of
- 13:17Speaker 15: the law of attraction is figuring out what will help
- 13:20Speaker 15: you generate the feelings of having it now Go test
- 13:23Speaker 15: drive that car.
- 13:24Speaker 1: Go shop for that home. Get in the house.
- 13:26Speaker 15: Do whatever you have to do to generate the feelings
- 13:29Speaker 15: of having it now and remember them. Whatever you can
- 13:32Speaker 15: do to do that will help you to literally attract it.
- 13:35Speaker 5: Who cares?
- 13:35Speaker 6: 95% of this DVD is about material possessions, particularly expensive ones,
- 13:41Speaker 6: and none of these things are actually fulfilling. This money-focused
- 13:44Speaker 6: ideology is poison. Success in life is building a family
- 13:47Speaker 6: and a good community. Success in business is figuring out
- 13:50Speaker 6: how to make money providing good products that your customers appreciate.
- 13:54Speaker 6: Success is not a Ferrari in a $ 5 million mansion.
- 13:57Speaker 6: If you constantly measure your success by what material possessions
- 14:00Speaker 6: you have, then you will always be unhappy. Someone will
- 14:03Speaker 6: always have a more expensive car or a better designer handbag.
- 14:06Speaker 6: I think these scammers know that, and they are getting
- 14:09Speaker 6: you to focus on material wealth because it will make
- 14:11Speaker 6: you more of a sucker who needs their product. If
- 14:13Speaker 6: you keep engaging in these unfulfilling measures of success, you're
- 14:17Speaker 6: just going to end up old and miserable. And the
- 14:19Speaker 6: great trick of the secret here is that they give
- 14:21Speaker 6: you these ridiculous financial goals that they know statistically 99%
- 14:25Speaker 6: of their audience will never achieve. So even if someone
- 14:28Speaker 6: does win with the secret, they will still have a
- 14:30Speaker 6: vast pool of miserable losers to prey on. Real success
- 14:33Speaker 6: is building community, and it doesn't take millions of dollars
- 14:36Speaker 6: or expensive cars to do that. And really the poison
- 14:39Speaker 6: here is that if you're going to make someone unnecessarily greedy...
- 14:42Speaker 6: then you could at least give them some useful strategies
- 14:45Speaker 6: for building themselves up. But instead, it's just nonsense.
- 14:48Speaker 8: Our job is not to figure out the how. The
- 14:51Speaker 8: how will show up out of the commitment and the
- 14:54Speaker 8: belief in the what.
- 14:55Speaker 1: The hows are the domain of the universe.
- 14:59Speaker 8: It always knows the shortest, quickest, fastest, most harmonious way
- 15:03Speaker 8: between you and your dream.
- 15:05Speaker 10: If you turn it over to the universe, you will
- 15:07Speaker 10: be surprised and dazzled by what is delivered to you.
- 15:11Speaker 10: This is where magic and miracles happen.
- 15:13Speaker 1: Right.
- 15:14Speaker 6: Basically, just sit right there and success will come to you.
- 15:17Speaker 6: That's not how shit works, but again, as I said,
- 15:20Speaker 6: this ideology is sort of true. Luck often breeds success,
- 15:23Speaker 6: but what's omitted here is that everyone gets lucky opportunities,
- 15:27Speaker 6: and the ones who are able to capitalize on them
- 15:29Speaker 6: are the people who are paying attention, and only the
- 15:32Speaker 6: people who have built themselves up to be valuable enough
- 15:34Speaker 6: to deserve the opportunity are the ones who will get it.
- 15:37Speaker 6: No one's ever going to give you the chance if
- 15:39Speaker 6: you haven't done the years of required prep work first.
- 15:42Speaker 6: This is why I say that the secret is full
- 15:43Speaker 6: of shit when it doesn't tell you this. Also remember
- 15:46Speaker 6: that the secret is the core behind all the bullshit
- 15:48Speaker 6: that you see on TikTok today. And not only are
- 15:51Speaker 6: they telling you that you can be successful by doing
- 15:53Speaker 6: nothing but saying affirmations in the mirror, not only are
- 15:56Speaker 6: they really enabling people's OCD, but also, they're teaching you
- 16:00Speaker 6: to be a narcissist that no one will want to
- 16:02Speaker 6: be around.
- 16:03Speaker 10: Or you have the belief that everything goes right for me.
- 16:06Speaker 10: Or you have the belief that I'm not getting older,
- 16:08Speaker 10: I'm getting younger. We can create it the way we
- 16:12Speaker 10: want it by using the law of attraction.
- 16:15Speaker 1: Are there any limits to this? Absolutely not.
- 16:18Speaker 4: We are unlimited beings. We have no ceiling. The capabilities
- 16:23Speaker 4: and the talents and the gifts and the power that
- 16:25Speaker 4: is within every single individual on this planet is unlimited.
- 16:30Speaker 6: The secret adds this important twist. Your thoughts can bring
- 16:33Speaker 6: anything into your life because you are a god. This
- 16:36Speaker 6: is from a review of The Secret. Can you see
- 16:39Speaker 6: why narcissists like the wizard Liz always pick up this
- 16:41Speaker 6: manifestation ideology? It seems to be meant to cater to
- 16:45Speaker 6: people with narcissistic personality disorder, BPD, and OCD, and if
- 16:50Speaker 6: you think these hyper-successful marketing ploys don't know their target audiences,
- 16:54Speaker 6: then I would suggest that you look at all the
- 16:56Speaker 6: seminars on YouTube about how to make a mobile game
- 16:58Speaker 6: successful by preying on each customer's personality archetype. And really,
- 17:02Speaker 6: one of the primary promoters of The Secret and this
- 17:05Speaker 6: whole manifestation law of attraction bullshit was Oprah. Is Oprah
- 17:09Speaker 6: still famous? Whether she is or not, I cannot understate
- 17:12Speaker 6: how popular she was as a woman's talk show host
- 17:14Speaker 6: back in the 2000s when The Secret came out. Honestly,
- 17:17Speaker 6: I see Oprah and these kinds of talk shows as
- 17:20Speaker 6: like the metaphor of the devil from Paradise Lost. And
- 17:23Speaker 6: what I mean by that is that these people pretend
- 17:25Speaker 6: to help while they actually harm you or stab you
- 17:27Speaker 6: in the back. This is what I see as genuinely
- 17:30Speaker 6: evil because it's very effective. The metaphor from Paradise Lost
- 17:34Speaker 6: is that the devil realizes that he can't defeat God
- 17:36Speaker 6: in combat, so he decides to corrupt his creation by
- 17:39Speaker 6: turning into a snake and pretending to be Eve's friend
- 17:42Speaker 6: so he can trick her into eating the apple. Wait,
- 17:45Speaker 6: why does he trick the woman? Was that part important?
- 17:47Speaker 1: But Oprah sold it.
- 17:48Speaker 10: There's a lot of factors in getting better and succeeding
- 17:51Speaker 10: at things, and they boiled it down to the easiest one,
- 17:55Speaker 10: which is dreaming.
- 17:57Speaker 6: Right, she's a scammer who's tricking her audience into believing
- 17:59Speaker 6: that she's helping them, when what she's actually doing is
- 18:02Speaker 6: making them more mentally ill and dependent on her advice.
- 18:05Speaker 6: And her fans ate this shit up.
- 18:07Speaker 3: Oprah, you're my vision board for 2018.
- 18:11Speaker 5: And I am here, so I have manifested this moment. Congratulations!
- 18:18Speaker 10: I am here!
- 18:19Speaker 2: That's great!
- 18:20Speaker 1: So I am here.
- 18:21Speaker 2: It is an honor.
- 18:22Speaker 6: Clearly an effective use of a vision board. Collaging at
- 18:25Speaker 6: its finest.
- 18:26Speaker 5: Oh, jeez. That movie did not do well at all.
- 18:29Speaker 5: No wonder I've never heard of it.
- 18:30Speaker 9: I want to run a marathon.
- 18:32Speaker 6: You do?
- 18:32Speaker 12: I want to before I.
- 18:33Speaker 2: I support you in that. But I don't vision board
- 18:36Speaker 2: anymore because I am a powerful manifester. And I know that,
- 18:41Speaker 2: and I know, I know how to do it without
- 18:43Speaker 2: physically putting it on a board. You want to know
- 18:45Speaker 2: how to do it? Absolutely. You have to meet the vibration.
- 18:48Speaker 2: You can't be above or below it. It's just what
- 18:51Speaker 2: I was talking about. Negative energy, positive energy in order
- 18:54Speaker 2: to draw the thing to you that you want to come.
- 18:56Speaker 2: You can't want it so much that you fear that
- 18:58Speaker 2: you won't get it. You have to want it. So
- 19:01Speaker 2: in order for me to be on your vision boards,
- 19:03Speaker 2: You must have put it there and then you let
- 19:05Speaker 2: it go. Yes. And then you weren't thinking about it
- 19:07Speaker 2: every day, every day, every day. Because you can't, it
- 19:08Speaker 2: doesn't come to you that way.
- 19:10Speaker 5: Got it.
- 19:10Speaker 6: She's a high-level mage now, so she doesn't need material
- 19:13Speaker 6: components like a vision board anymore. I gotta say, though,
- 19:16Speaker 6: that was some pretty effective bullshit language. But if you
- 19:19Speaker 6: want to know the strongest scientific peer-reviewed evidence that manifestation
- 19:23Speaker 6: and the law of attraction don't work, then listen to this.
- 19:26Speaker 6: Oprah for many years has been trying to lose weight,
- 19:29Speaker 6: yet after all this time, she's still fat.
- 19:32Speaker 5: No one noticed that?
- 19:33Speaker 6: Her wanting to lose weight has to be like the
- 19:35Speaker 6: number one thing that she's known for. Maybe she's been
- 19:38Speaker 6: manifesting too many cheeseburgers. Maybe she still does need that
- 19:41Speaker 6: vision board. Now, personally, when it comes to ways of
- 19:44Speaker 6: thinking that actually work and actually lead to success, I
- 19:47Speaker 6: think this one is particularly helpful, especially when it comes
- 19:50Speaker 6: to achieving very difficult long-term goals. And no, that doesn't
- 19:53Speaker 6: have to be a $ 5 million home. I think goals
- 19:56Speaker 6: like that are largely retarded. A goal shouldn't be owning
- 19:59Speaker 6: an expensive home. An expensive home should just be the
- 20:01Speaker 6: result of providing lots of value to society instead of
- 20:04Speaker 6: it being the product of you being really good at
- 20:06Speaker 6: scamming people like it is for most of these losers.
- 20:09Speaker 6: I mean, you really think that this shit wasn't a scam?
- 20:12Speaker 15: Remove physiological stress from the body, and the body does
- 20:15Speaker 15: what it was designed to do.
- 20:17Speaker 1: It heals itself.
- 20:19Speaker 4: I've seen kidneys regenerated. I've seen cancer dissolved. I've seen
- 20:26Speaker 4: eyesight improve and come back.
- 20:29Speaker 1: I always say that incurable means curable from within.
- 20:32Speaker 4: You can change your life, and you can heal yourself.
- 20:36Speaker 6: Notice how they have the visionary say the dumb stuff
- 20:38Speaker 6: and not the doctor. He's like, I'm not risking my
- 20:40Speaker 6: license on this bullshit. Did they not get sued for
- 20:43Speaker 6: telling people that you could cure cancer by making a
- 20:46Speaker 6: vision board and saying affirmations in the mirror? How many
- 20:49Speaker 6: people stopped treatment because of these assholes? Anyway, as for
- 20:52Speaker 6: achieving long-term goals, even when it comes to building a
- 20:55Speaker 6: good community, building a financially stable lifestyle, and creating a
- 20:59Speaker 6: family that likes and appreciates you, that stuff is really difficult.
- 21:03Speaker 6: And a little spoiler, tons of these rich and successful
- 21:06Speaker 6: people that you take advice from have not figured that
- 21:09Speaker 6: stuff out. In fact, lots of them have incredibly toxic
- 21:12Speaker 6: relationships and are hated by the people who know them personally.
- 21:15Speaker 6: So when it comes to achieving really difficult goals, I
- 21:18Speaker 6: find the most helpful mentality that keeps you on track
- 21:20Speaker 6: and prevents you from quitting is to see your goal
- 21:23Speaker 6: as a foregone conclusion. You're going to achieve it no
- 21:26Speaker 6: matter what. This is not delusion, this is saying, I'm
- 21:29Speaker 6: going to put in the necessary work to get what
- 21:31Speaker 6: I want, and I'll achieve it when I achieve it.
- 21:34Speaker 6: And the reason for this mentality is because people often
- 21:37Speaker 6: hoist unrealistic and overly optimistic expectations upon themselves because they
- 21:42Speaker 6: don't know that much about what they're trying to get,
- 21:44Speaker 6: and so they'll say, I'm going to achieve this in
- 21:47Speaker 6: three months, and then when three months goes by and
- 21:49Speaker 6: they don't succeed, their optimism goes away and so they quit.
- 21:53Speaker 6: Sometimes stuff like becoming fluent in a language actually takes
- 21:56Speaker 6: more like three years or more, and what will actually
- 21:59Speaker 6: make you successful on these occasions is saying, okay, three
- 22:03Speaker 6: months has passed and I'm still not there, but I'm
- 22:05Speaker 6: going to keep going because this is my goal, and
- 22:07Speaker 6: I'm going to succeed even if I fail initially. I
- 22:10Speaker 6: think you'll find that when people achieve ridiculous things, that
- 22:13Speaker 6: is their mindset. Anyway, thanks for watching, follow me on Twitter,
- 22:17Speaker 6: and I'll see you in the next video.
