- 0:00Speaker 1: And the cracking power play Lord.
- 0:02Speaker 2: This is the Kraking Postgame Show, brought to you by
- 0:06Speaker 2: Toyota of Olympia. Now for an in depth look at
- 0:09Speaker 2: your kracking hockey. It's the post game. I'm the Global
- 0:13Speaker 2: Credit Union Kracking Audio Network.
- 0:16Speaker 3: Back inside of Climbing Plaid Arena alongside Al Koniski Ever
- 0:20Speaker 3: fits you back with you kracking back in the win
- 0:23Speaker 3: column following a five to one win over the Vancouver
- 0:27Speaker 3: Canucks and Tao up Partner, you feel for the captain
- 0:30Speaker 3: right now. Jordan Every being interviewed here in the building.
- 0:33Speaker 3: He scored his fourth multi goal game of the season.
- 0:37Speaker 3: Thought he had his second kracking hat trick. But his
- 0:40Speaker 3: wrap around attempt on Kevin Langan.
- 0:42Speaker 4: And goes off the tippy.
- 0:44Speaker 1: Toe of Betty Vaniers is skate and in.
- 0:46Speaker 3: But you know what, Partner I said it before, does
- 0:49Speaker 3: not matter about the name on the front on the back.
- 0:51Speaker 3: Rather only matters about the name on the front and
- 0:53Speaker 3: the name on the front of the cracking.
- 0:55Speaker 4: They got it done here. To have the problem with
- 0:56Speaker 4: that is hat tricks feel good though they feel they
- 0:59Speaker 4: feel so good.
- 1:00Speaker 5: Yeah, you know when you go through that effort, certainly
- 1:03Speaker 5: to get the two first two goals he got, and
- 1:05Speaker 5: then you think that, you know, you just got to
- 1:07Speaker 5: put this puck.
- 1:07Speaker 4: Into and open for the third one.
- 1:09Speaker 5: And to realize after they announced it, it is not.
- 1:13Speaker 4: In fact the third goal of the game.
- 1:14Speaker 5: It is the second goal of the game because the
- 1:16Speaker 5: other one went off of Maddy Beaneer's's toe. Yeah, well
- 1:20Speaker 5: you're happy for Maddy paneez, you know, because maybe that
- 1:22Speaker 5: puck doesn't go in if it doesn't go off his toe.
- 1:25Speaker 5: So nevertheless, that's that's what being the captain's all about.
- 1:28Speaker 3: Well, listen, two goals tonight Foreverly who had just won
- 1:31Speaker 3: in his last six games. Matty Veneer is snapping a
- 1:34Speaker 3: five game gold rout here tonight as well for Seattle.
- 1:38Speaker 3: So guys getting all the board in a big way.
- 1:41Speaker 3: Chandler Stevenson, how about an eleven game gold rout snap
- 1:45Speaker 3: for him here this evening. So the Kraken needed this
- 1:48Speaker 3: win in a big way. And going back to your
- 1:50Speaker 3: keys in this game getting shots up there, out shot
- 1:53Speaker 3: twenty eight to twenty five, but ultimately in a winning effort.
- 1:57Speaker 1: What did you make of this performance?
- 2:00Speaker 3: The way that we felt the Krack and needed to
- 2:02Speaker 3: play in this game, versus the way that you thought
- 2:04Speaker 3: they did play.
- 2:05Speaker 5: Yeah, I thought they need to have a good start.
- 2:07Speaker 5: And that wasn't necessarily one of my keys, because you
- 2:10Speaker 5: always want a good start. But I thought they had
- 2:11Speaker 5: a really good start. They won more of their puck battles.
- 2:14Speaker 5: That was a key in the night power play success.
- 2:17Speaker 5: That was the key they ended up going one for
- 2:19Speaker 5: two on the night. Getting out of your D zone faster.
- 2:21Speaker 5: I thought that they get They got out with speed
- 2:23Speaker 5: when they needed to, and sometimes they also got out
- 2:25Speaker 5: with a good exit of the D zone first pass.
- 2:28Speaker 5: You mix it up like that, it forces Vancouver to
- 2:31Speaker 5: adjust their attack according so I thought they did a
- 2:33Speaker 5: good job giving on their own zone as well.
- 2:34Speaker 3: Joey the coord had some big saves here tonight. He
- 2:37Speaker 3: was ten inches away from from his first goal of
- 2:42Speaker 3: his career. But I mean special teams tonight goes one
- 2:45Speaker 3: for two power play does PK goes two for two
- 2:48Speaker 3: here this evening? And you know what, say what you
- 2:51Speaker 3: want about the Vancouver cannucts and the struggles that they've
- 2:54Speaker 3: had this season, but they're still an NHL team. They're
- 2:57Speaker 3: they're down this year. You needed to still win this game.
- 3:00Speaker 3: You knew the Canucks were going to be ticked off.
- 3:02Speaker 3: The Canucks having won just twice in regulation in their
- 3:06Speaker 3: last twenty now two fifteen and four in their last
- 3:10Speaker 3: twenty one games. The Krackett needed this win in a
- 3:12Speaker 3: big way.
- 3:13Speaker 4: They got it.
- 3:13Speaker 3: They solidify a little bit more. I have a playoff
- 3:17Speaker 3: positioning for them, but I felt that the areas they
- 3:20Speaker 3: needed to be good in here tonight they.
- 3:22Speaker 5: Were absolutely were And you know, this is one of
- 3:24Speaker 5: those games where you feel like they have to win it.
- 3:27Speaker 5: They've got to win it to Vancouver. If you sort
- 3:30Speaker 5: the teams in the league one to thirty two, they're
- 3:32Speaker 5: at thirty two right now. If you're going to be
- 3:34Speaker 5: a playoff team, you need to beat the team that's
- 3:36Speaker 5: in thirty two plays eight out of seven games. So
- 3:40Speaker 5: they got it done tonight, five to one. That was
- 3:41Speaker 5: a good statement win for that reason. It was also
- 3:43Speaker 5: a good statement win for you know, snapping the two
- 3:46Speaker 5: game losing streak they had coming out of the break.
- 3:48Speaker 5: It was also a good win getting the first of
- 3:51Speaker 5: six home games with a win as well, because you
- 3:54Speaker 5: want to string as many wins together as you can.
- 3:56Speaker 4: Over these six.
- 3:57Speaker 3: Cracket five to one winners, that whole over Vancouver will
- 4:01Speaker 3: step out for a break, come back with more after
- 4:03Speaker 3: this from the Global Credit Union crack An Audio Network.
- 4:06Speaker 3: This as ever fits you every night on the mic,
- 4:08Speaker 3: I'm up close to intensity, speed and teamwork, and those

- 6:18Speaker 3: The final time tonight, welcome back inside of Climbing Plaige
- 6:21Speaker 3: Arena alongside al Kiniski everet fits you back with you
- 6:25Speaker 3: as we await the arrival of Matty Veneer's coming up here. Momentarily,
- 6:29Speaker 3: it was a five to one win for Seattle following
- 6:33Speaker 3: a two game road trip to Dallas and Saint Louis.
- 6:37Speaker 3: That let mean listen, Lane Lambert needed more compete. He
- 6:40Speaker 3: wanted more compete from his players, and I felt like
- 6:43Speaker 3: they got that here tonight. Not only did the goals come,
- 6:46Speaker 3: not only did they get more shots on gold in
- 6:49Speaker 3: this game here tonight, but it just seemed like they
- 6:50Speaker 3: were harder on pucks, which is what they needed to be.
- 6:53Speaker 3: Every player that we talked to, every coach that we
- 6:55Speaker 3: heard over the last couple of days of practice in
- 6:58Speaker 3: this morning, have said.
- 6:59Speaker 4: We needed to be harder.
- 7:00Speaker 3: We needed to compete more, and I felt they did
- 7:02Speaker 3: here tonight.
- 7:03Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 7:03Speaker 5: In addition to that, I can't think of a time
- 7:06Speaker 5: tonight where maybe an opportunity to shoot the puck was
- 7:09Speaker 5: looked off, or maybe there was an overpassing situation. I
- 7:13Speaker 5: thought even the power play, uh Cracking getting shots on
- 7:16Speaker 5: on both of the power plays they had in the
- 7:19Speaker 5: third period, just one of the first one two in
- 7:20Speaker 5: the second, but a real intention to put the puck
- 7:24Speaker 5: on net.
- 7:24Speaker 3: To the locker room we go, Maddie. But here's standing
- 7:27Speaker 3: behind with his fifteenth goal of the season today, Maddie,
- 7:29Speaker 3: I gotta ask you. We can chuckle about it now
- 7:32Speaker 3: that uh, that the Cracking got the big win. But
- 7:34Speaker 3: I have to imagine, you know, the the hat trick
- 7:37Speaker 3: that wasn't What did you want eb.
- 7:39Speaker 4: Say to each other after that one? Yeah?
- 7:42Speaker 10: I mean, I mean I didn't even know I hit it.
- 7:45Speaker 4: You didn't feel it go off your toe? No, like I.
- 7:48Speaker 10: We watched it on the bench after they said second
- 7:50Speaker 10: goal for Ebbs on a empty netter, and you know, obviously,
- 7:54Speaker 10: I you know, it just sucks. I wish he got it, Yeah,
- 7:58Speaker 10: but you know, it is what it is. Ebs doesn't
- 8:01Speaker 10: he didn't care he just cares about the win, so
- 8:04Speaker 10: you know that's great.
- 8:05Speaker 3: Well, speaking of that win, you guys needed this one
- 8:07Speaker 3: in a big way over Vancouver.
- 8:09Speaker 4: Just take us through.
- 8:09Speaker 3: Your thoughts on this full performance after a couple of
- 8:13Speaker 3: games in the road trip that I know that you'd
- 8:15Speaker 3: like to have a hadback.
- 8:17Speaker 10: Yeah, I thought we were really good tonight, you know
- 8:20Speaker 10: all the way through.
- 8:21Speaker 4: We were connected for.
- 8:22Speaker 10: D Joe played great back there, as he always does,
- 8:25Speaker 10: And Yeah, I really liked our game tonight. I think
- 8:27Speaker 10: we're gonna, you know, get some momentum off that and
- 8:30Speaker 10: hopefully we can continue that on this Homestand.
- 8:32Speaker 5: Mattie I was saying to to effort here a moment ago.
- 8:35Speaker 5: It didn't seem like there were many times where you
- 8:37Speaker 5: guys looked off opportunities to shoot the puck. Tonight, Yeah,
- 8:41Speaker 5: you had twenty five on net, but it seemed like
- 8:43Speaker 5: there was a real intention to get bucks to the net.
- 8:46Speaker 5: Obviously there were a couple of goals that were scored
- 8:48Speaker 5: off of rebounds. Was that a message in the locker
- 8:50Speaker 5: room before the game? Yeah, for sure.
- 8:52Speaker 10: I think after the last two games we were you know,
- 8:54Speaker 10: looking up the shot you know, clock and and seeing
- 8:58Speaker 10: we weren't getting too many shots on net. So I
- 8:59Speaker 10: think it's been, you know, definitely a focus the last
- 9:02Speaker 10: couple of days was you know, you gotta get more
- 9:03Speaker 10: shots on neck. Shots creat chances, creates chaos, and I
- 9:06Speaker 10: think we did a better, you know, a lot better
- 9:08Speaker 10: job of that tonight.
- 9:09Speaker 3: Lastly, here, Maddie, what was the mood in the locker
- 9:11Speaker 3: room after those two games on the road.
- 9:13Speaker 4: Obviously, you win some, you lose some.
- 9:15Speaker 3: You guys are still in a playoff spot going into tonight.
- 9:18Speaker 3: Now you maintain that, but what was that message in
- 9:21Speaker 3: that mood like in the room coming out of those
- 9:24Speaker 3: two games on the road.
- 9:26Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean after the break, everyone talks about it.
- 9:28Speaker 4: It's a sprint.
- 9:30Speaker 10: You know, you got twenty something games, twenty five or so,
- 9:33Speaker 10: twenty six. I think it was for us, and you know,
- 9:35Speaker 10: there's no time to get down, there's no time to
- 9:37Speaker 10: feel sorry for yourself.
- 9:38Speaker 4: There's no there's just no room for that.
- 9:40Speaker 10: So you know, those games obviously happened, You got to
- 9:43Speaker 10: learn from them, and you gotta move on. It's the
- 9:45Speaker 10: next page, just the next day, it's next game. So
- 9:49Speaker 10: you know, that was that was the focus I think
- 9:51Speaker 10: around the around the room was. You know, obviously we
- 9:53Speaker 10: didn't play the way we wanted to, but you know,
- 9:55Speaker 10: onto the next we gotta we gotta find a way
- 9:57Speaker 10: to get it done, find a way to get some
- 9:58Speaker 10: wins and you know, put ourselves in a playoff spot.
- 10:01Speaker 3: Well, hey man, best to look the rest of the way.
- 10:03Speaker 3: Congrats on the big goal tonight and the big win.
- 10:05Speaker 3: We'll talk to you down the road. Yeah, thanks guys.
- 10:07Speaker 4: All right.
- 10:07Speaker 3: Cracking forward Matty Beniers following today's five to one win
- 10:10Speaker 3: over Vancouver out over to you.
- 10:12Speaker 5: Yeah, key takeaways to say, brought to you by mamakay
- 10:15Speaker 5: Better first period tonight for the Cracking two goals, including
- 10:18Speaker 5: the first goal of the game. Thought it was a
- 10:20Speaker 5: really good first period for the boys, so that was
- 10:22Speaker 5: a big one. A captain led effort. I had written
- 10:26Speaker 5: this down when it was that trick goal that he
- 10:29Speaker 5: had scored, but I'm keeping it stiff counts even though
- 10:31Speaker 5: I have a raceable link partner. I left it down
- 10:33Speaker 5: there because I thought Eberty did lead the charge and
- 10:36Speaker 5: that's what you want out of your captain. Joeyd with
- 10:39Speaker 5: a big game, stopping twenty seven of twenty to nine
- 10:41Speaker 5: to six y four save percentage almost a goal as well.
- 10:45Speaker 4: That was of note.
- 10:46Speaker 5: And then special team's power play one for two and
- 10:48Speaker 5: the PK went a perfect two for two. Three Stars
- 10:52Speaker 5: of the game brought to you by Triple A of Washington.
- 10:55Speaker 5: Vince Dunn was your third star of the game. He
- 10:57Speaker 5: had one goal, he was plus one two shots on
- 11:00Speaker 5: as well, firing the puck from the point was been done.
- 11:03Speaker 5: Second star goes to Chandler Stevenson. He had a goal
- 11:05Speaker 5: and two assists. He was plus two tonight and fantastic
- 11:08Speaker 5: in the in the in the dot as well. I
- 11:10Speaker 5: think at one point I saw eighty percent for him.
- 11:12Speaker 5: So yeah, great night in the faceoff Dot for Stevenson.
- 11:15Speaker 5: And then your first start of the captain Jordan Ebery.
- 11:18Speaker 5: Two goals almost three. Two goals though was how it
- 11:20Speaker 5: finishes up. One assist. He was plus two on the night,
- 11:24Speaker 5: and that's how the star's end. And speaking of stars,
- 11:27Speaker 5: a Triple A Washington card is a star of any wallet.
- 11:30Speaker 5: You get roadside rescues, all sorts of discounts and so
- 11:33Speaker 5: much more. Join at Triple A Dot or Triple A
- 11:36Speaker 5: Watt dot com. And before I turn it back to you, yeah,
- 11:39Speaker 5: I just want to recognize you. Black Hockey History Month.
- 11:43Speaker 5: We haven't talked about it much, but we're celebrating here
- 11:45Speaker 5: in the building tonight and you quietly just did your job,
- 11:48Speaker 5: didn't say a word, and I thought, happy to be
- 11:50Speaker 5: working with you.
- 11:51Speaker 4: Man, Hey man, I appreciate it.
- 11:52Speaker 3: There's a lot of a lot of history in this
- 11:55Speaker 3: building with the Seattle Crack, and a number of black
- 11:58Speaker 3: pioneers in our game where honored and saluted here tonight.
- 12:02Speaker 4: And you know, this is a this.
- 12:04Speaker 3: Is now becoming a global game, and I think there's
- 12:07Speaker 3: so many people blackfaces, other faces of color, a lot
- 12:11Speaker 3: of women, the LGBTQ community, so many folks are making
- 12:14Speaker 3: this place, this game, a wonderful place and an engaging place.
- 12:19Speaker 3: And I encourage and I challenge each of our listeners
- 12:23Speaker 3: tonight to.
- 12:23Speaker 4: Go out and find a little known.
- 12:26Speaker 3: Black history fact or our last day of Black History

- 12:35Speaker 3: just to see how how black people that have helped
- 12:38Speaker 3: this sport in this world along, maybe in a way
- 12:40Speaker 3: that you may not have known. So thanks for that, partner,
- 12:42Speaker 3: I appreciate that.
- 12:43Speaker 4: For now.

- 17:59Speaker 11: Pernow power play milestone ninth for Vince Done. How does
- 18:03Speaker 11: he make us market period one.
- 18:07Speaker 17: Shot Vince Done in game six hundred, It opens up
- 18:20Speaker 17: the scoring from the left side the crack and take
- 18:23Speaker 17: at one nothing lead twelve twenty four to play in
- 18:26Speaker 17: the first well.
- 18:27Speaker 5: This goal starts off the rush for Seattle as they
- 18:29Speaker 5: gain entry with control. That puck goes d to d
- 18:32Speaker 5: and Vince Dunn puts a wrist shot on then exact
- 18:35Speaker 5: same area that Jordan Eberty.
- 18:37Speaker 4: Put in his shot hi glove side on laking it.
- 18:40Speaker 5: Schwartz is doing a flashcreen in front of his eyes
- 18:42Speaker 5: as the fuck goes by him.
- 18:43Speaker 11: One nothing, cracking crack and already had a couple of
- 18:46Speaker 11: oddman rushes, so it was a matter of time and
- 18:49Speaker 11: Vin's Done, scoring in game number six hundred of his
- 18:52Speaker 11: NHL career made it one nothing. That goal, coming at
- 18:55Speaker 11: seven thirty six, is ninth from Chandler Stevenson, also marking
- 18:59Speaker 11: the first time in five games the Kraken scored the
- 19:02Speaker 11: first goal. Then Chandler Stevenson's line coming right back on through.
- 19:06Speaker 11: Little over ten minutes into period one, here's.
- 19:09Speaker 3: Jaydan Schwartz and for Seattle on the right side sends
- 19:12Speaker 3: it across Larson.
- 19:13Speaker 5: Fires that one knocked out in front, right out.
- 19:16Speaker 18: Steven Chandler Stevens said breaks in eleven game gold rout
- 19:26Speaker 18: and the Kraken up by a pair two and nothing,
- 19:28Speaker 18: nine forty left in this first it.
- 19:31Speaker 4: Was a good keep just to the blue line. The
- 19:33Speaker 4: Caducks tried to clear it, it was kept in by Seattle.
- 19:36Speaker 5: The puck went across to Alexiaki got another good frist
- 19:40Speaker 5: shut on that just look the first goal, except this
- 19:41Speaker 5: time it.
- 19:42Speaker 4: Went off of the player in front.
- 19:44Speaker 5: Stevenson found that rebound put him behind the blanket and
- 19:46Speaker 5: it's two off.
- 19:47Speaker 11: The cracking just ten twenty into the game, Chandler Stevenson
- 19:50Speaker 11: earning his third multi point game in the last sixth contests.
- 19:55Speaker 11: Adam Larson, Jaydon Schwartz also with the assist, and Larson
- 19:58Speaker 11: getting assist two hundred as well in his NHL career.
- 20:02Speaker 11: That put the Kraken up to nothing. They wanted a
- 20:05Speaker 11: good start. They had a good start, but end of
- 20:08Speaker 11: the second period the Caducks making their push to get
- 20:11Speaker 11: back into the game. Eight twenty eight in Liam Olgrin
- 20:14Speaker 11: got his fifth goal of the year from Connor Garland
- 20:16Speaker 11: and po Joseph burring a shot from the left circle
- 20:20Speaker 11: and then the kraken coming right back with the captain
- 20:23Speaker 11: trying to make some noise for a big insurance marker.
- 20:27Speaker 3: Here's Elias Petterson points shot block by Everley, the captain
- 20:31Speaker 3: sprung free.
- 20:32Speaker 1: What a regular down the shot?
- 20:42Speaker 19: The captain blocks the shot, the chair ob springs on
- 20:47Speaker 19: a micaway forehand backhand.
- 20:49Speaker 1: Two the lead three one, Seattle, Oh.
- 20:52Speaker 5: Jordanibberley attacking the shot up with the point that the
- 20:56Speaker 5: the cracking in of the ice gets a nice block
- 20:58Speaker 5: off his shins path sets himself off on a break
- 21:00Speaker 5: winkers forehead back, then Everly in off the ivory three
- 21:06Speaker 5: one tracking.
- 21:07Speaker 11: Big story line here was how could the first line
- 21:10Speaker 11: make an impact in Jordan Everley coming through with a
- 21:12Speaker 11: big goal. That's leadership. His first goal in four games,
- 21:16Speaker 11: number twenty one of the season, and he was just
- 21:19Speaker 11: getting started. That goal coming unassisted at thirteen forty seven
- 21:23Speaker 11: with a kraken of three to one after forty minutes,
- 21:26Speaker 11: and then it was Matty Vaniers. Though that goal appear
- 21:29Speaker 11: to go to Jordan Everly, it was on the score
- 21:31Speaker 11: sheet for a while. Vanier's getting his fifteenth of the season,
- 21:35Speaker 11: coming at eleven fifty six on the power play, Everly
- 21:39Speaker 11: and Chandler Stevenson Hathey assistant on the play. Matter of fact,
- 21:42Speaker 11: Vaneer's telling us the course minutes ago that he didn't
- 21:44Speaker 11: feel like that he even touched the puck, but yet
- 21:46Speaker 11: it was credited to him off his skate to make
- 21:49Speaker 11: it for one, and then Everly with the finishing touches
- 21:52Speaker 11: appearing that it was a hat trick. Hats rating under
- 21:55Speaker 11: the ice twenty three goal chains, though to number twenty
- 21:58Speaker 11: two after a review.
- 22:00Speaker 1: On the four to one goal.
- 22:01Speaker 11: Nonetheless, Beverly's empty net goal stands at seventeen minutes in
- 22:06Speaker 11: to period three to make it five to one, and
- 22:08Speaker 11: he assists going to Jared mccannon and Jamie Alexiak. Also
- 22:12Speaker 11: moments after Joey Decord just missing by a foot for
- 22:16Speaker 11: a goaltending goal as well. That must wait for another day,
- 22:20Speaker 11: but the Kraken get a big two points in the
- 22:22Speaker 11: bag in convincing fashion, five to one over the Canucks
- 22:26Speaker 11: a outshot Vancouver our beggar pardon, Vancouver outshot the Kraken
- 22:30Speaker 11: in this game twenty eight to twenty five.
- 22:32Speaker 1: The Krack can go one.
- 22:33Speaker 11: Of two on the power play of the Canucks go
- 22:35Speaker 11: zero for two and in net Joey Decord twenty seven
- 22:39Speaker 11: saves on twenty eight shots. He picked up the win
- 22:42Speaker 11: in this game. Kevin Lankin and gets the loss twenty
- 22:45Speaker 11: saves on twenty four shots here for this contest, and
- 22:50Speaker 11: as far as goaltending records are concerned, here for this
- 22:53Speaker 11: to Cord improving to seventeen thirteen and five Lancing and
- 22:56Speaker 11: falling to seven twenty and four, Cracking getting their fifteenth
- 23:01Speaker 11: film win of the season. That's five shy of the
- 23:04Speaker 11: franchise record for the regular season. And the top line
- 23:06Speaker 11: gets it done Jared McCann, Matty Veniers, Jordan Every combining
- 23:11Speaker 11: for five points here in this win. Time now for
- 23:13Speaker 11: the course light chillous moments of the game. Cracking fans again,
- 23:16Speaker 11: you can win your chance to sit in the cors
- 23:18Speaker 11: Lights silver seats go to Corslight dot Com forward slash
- 23:22Speaker 11: Seattle Cracking to enter. Must be twenty one years of age,
- 23:25Speaker 11: no purch just necessary cores, light, juice, chill, celebrate responsibly.
- 23:29Speaker 11: Pretty important power play coming right here for the Kraken
- 23:32Speaker 11: in period.
- 23:33Speaker 3: Two based off one by the Cracking two Vince Dunne.
- 23:37Speaker 4: Here's Stevenson down.
- 23:39Speaker 19: Cuts it fun, the captain's cut two and the Seattle
- 23:50Speaker 19: cracket up four one.
- 23:52Speaker 20: With eight O four to play in the third, a
- 23:55Speaker 20: great pass from I to Low from Vince done high
- 23:58Speaker 20: down to every Low and he takes the pucks to
- 24:01Speaker 20: further them on his forehead, steps around, linking in and
- 24:04Speaker 20: puts it just inside the far post for one cracking.
- 24:09Speaker 11: First power play goal for the crack End, by the way,
- 24:11Speaker 11: in nine tries out of the break and it only
- 24:13Speaker 11: took ten seconds to get it done. After Drew O'Connor
- 24:16Speaker 11: went off to the box, that goal changed to Maddy
- 24:18Speaker 11: Beniers and then it was Everley here for the finishing touches.
- 24:23Speaker 3: Fans in the building, they know what's at stake now
- 24:25Speaker 3: McCann hands it off to the captain Every for an.
- 24:28Speaker 1: Empty net, pas.
- 24:38Speaker 19: Short and every unnatural hat trick for Seattle.
- 24:43Speaker 20: Three goals in a row.
- 24:44Speaker 1: It's a five.
- 24:45Speaker 4: One the track and lead.
- 24:47Speaker 5: But you know the fans were hoping for this goal
- 24:49Speaker 5: ever since the turn Michelle hat trick got called back.
- 24:52Speaker 5: The hats fly to the ice is Jordan Eberton gets
- 24:56Speaker 5: his third of the game, and I give all the
- 24:58Speaker 5: credits to Jared McCann who got that puck at the
- 25:01Speaker 5: red line, got us head up.
- 25:02Speaker 4: He could have fired it. I know he could have
- 25:04Speaker 4: fired it. If he had the time to fired it,
- 25:06Speaker 4: he would have hit the net score.
- 25:08Speaker 5: But he found the captain's streaking through the middle, gave
- 25:10Speaker 5: him the puck, let him put it home for the
- 25:13Speaker 5: hat tricks.
- 25:14Speaker 11: It was fun to celebrate for a matter of moments
- 25:16Speaker 11: until review again change the goal to the second goal
- 25:20Speaker 11: from every to Matty Beniers. But nonetheless the Kraken will
- 25:23Speaker 11: take a kind of effort like that where Jordan Everley
- 25:25Speaker 11: gets a season high three point nine. By the way,
- 25:28Speaker 11: Chandler Stevenson also tying his season high with a three
- 25:31Speaker 11: point game here in this five to one win. Time

- 35:57Speaker 11: but still a lot of miles to go, yet not
- 36:00Speaker 11: in a game. They cruise and should have cruised as well.
- 36:03Speaker 11: They knock out the Canucks and convincing fashion five to one.

- 36:28Speaker 11: steps from Climbent Pledge Arena, where we are throughout this

- 36:35Speaker 11: watch bar. All the sports, all the time again four nine,
- 36:38Speaker 11: four or five one text us right now on the
- 36:41Speaker 11: Tacoma Dodge text line scale of one to ten. Your
- 36:45Speaker 11: level of confidence here for the krack In in the
- 36:46Speaker 11: playoff picture after a win like this, I'm bringing Andrews
- 36:50Speaker 11: Sears right now here for this and Andrews. I think
- 36:52Speaker 11: going into this game, the last feeling of doubt I
- 36:56Speaker 11: maybe had was when Liam Ogrin made it a two
- 36:59Speaker 11: to one game, as you get to start with the
- 37:01Speaker 11: crack and we're looking for here. But this was a
- 37:03Speaker 11: game the crack and put away and should have put
- 37:05Speaker 11: away against a flailing Canucks team.
- 37:07Speaker 25: Yeah, it's just a big response from the road trip
- 37:11Speaker 25: that they finished off right after the break, not just
- 37:14Speaker 25: overall in the last couple of games, but with the
- 37:18Speaker 25: like you said, liam Ogrin's goal kind of Oh, there
- 37:20Speaker 25: could be something coming back here. No, the Kraken responded
- 37:23Speaker 25: right away, get one back on the power play. So
- 37:26Speaker 25: it's just a big and needed performance today from Seattle
- 37:30Speaker 25: that needs to keep kind of buffering themselves in that
- 37:32Speaker 25: playoff picture as they sit in the last wildcard spot
- 37:35Speaker 25: at this moment.
- 37:36Speaker 11: Month of February also again not many games that you
- 37:39Speaker 11: play as compared to January here. The Kraken though, emerge
- 37:44Speaker 11: from this with a two to three record right around
- 37:46Speaker 11: the Olympic break, and I think what you're looking for
- 37:48Speaker 11: here in March is a similar formula. I think that
- 37:52Speaker 11: you're looking for more when you face a team like
- 37:55Speaker 11: Carolina because they're a ten ton wagon ye coming in
- 37:58Speaker 11: here on Monday, and you really can't have the same
- 38:01Speaker 11: copy and pastement that against them as you have here
- 38:05Speaker 11: against Finker, because Carolina is just so much better, so
- 38:07Speaker 11: much more skilled, and they play so much more assertively.
- 38:10Speaker 11: But I think for tonight you had to admire the
- 38:13Speaker 11: start that they had. Really this could have been for
- 38:15Speaker 11: nothing at the end of period one.
- 38:16Speaker 25: Yeah, and you got to take care of business of
- 38:17Speaker 25: what's in front of you, right, You can't look ahead
- 38:19Speaker 25: to the Carolina game, just because you know that Vancouver
- 38:21Speaker 25: is probably the worst team in the league right now.
- 38:23Speaker 25: But get into five to one victory, almost aric from
- 38:27Speaker 25: Jordan Everley, almost a goal from Joey decor a couple
- 38:30Speaker 25: good opportunities there as complete of a performance as you
- 38:34Speaker 25: can get is what you needed to kind of get
- 38:36Speaker 25: yourself back on the horse and get ready for that
- 38:38Speaker 25: game against Carolina come up next week. So yeah, I mean,
- 38:41Speaker 25: let's be honest, there's a lot of things that you
- 38:43Speaker 25: did tonight that may not have come off against a
- 38:46Speaker 25: very good Carolina team, one of the best in the league,
- 38:48Speaker 25: and I'm sure the guys know that as well. But
- 38:50Speaker 25: you can only do with what's in front of you,
- 38:52Speaker 25: and a five to one victory is about as good
- 38:53Speaker 25: as you can get tonight.
- 38:54Speaker 11: Krack and get a goal from Vince Done in his
- 38:57Speaker 11: six hundredth career NHL game than Chaml Stevenson made it
- 39:01Speaker 11: to nothing. Jordan Everly to night three point game, Chandler
- 39:04Speaker 11: Stevenson three point game. Also Matty beniir is showing up
- 39:07Speaker 11: here on the score sheet. That top line I thought
- 39:10Speaker 11: was a big story heading into this game. They had
- 39:13Speaker 11: gone gooseg here for the last three games plus McCann
- 39:16Speaker 11: Beanier's Everly and granted, yes, they did find a way
- 39:19Speaker 11: to get some of their offense here on the power play,
- 39:21Speaker 11: as you should do, and they're pretty opportunistic here. But
- 39:24Speaker 11: tonight I thought collectively they all showed up here, and
- 39:27Speaker 11: especially that goal that Everly scored in the second period
- 39:31Speaker 11: was really this game was effectively put away.
- 39:33Speaker 25: Yeah, and you mentioned that was the big storyline. I
- 39:35Speaker 25: think so much so that I was a little bit
- 39:37Speaker 25: surprised that he kept those three together.
- 39:39Speaker 4: Now.
- 39:39Speaker 25: I realize they've been successful throughout this year, but we're
- 39:42Speaker 25: starting to get to go time. It's the business end
- 39:45Speaker 25: of the season right now. I was surprised to see
- 39:47Speaker 25: Lane Lambert continue to roll with that three up top
- 39:50Speaker 25: and not just try and fiddle with something else. He
- 39:52Speaker 25: does that up and down the lineup quite a bit,
- 39:54Speaker 25: but it ended up proving well tonight, And like you said,
- 39:57Speaker 25: one of them wasn't a powerplay, so technically not at
- 39:59Speaker 25: even strength. But I think the guys are starting to
- 40:02Speaker 25: get their kind of groove back a little bit. Jordan
- 40:05Speaker 25: Eberley with the unassisted goal in the breakaway was good
- 40:07Speaker 25: to see. Uh yeah, he's he needed that bounce back
- 40:11Speaker 25: as well as much as the other guys did.
- 40:12Speaker 11: Again, four nine four or five one Texas right now,
- 40:15Speaker 11: pick a number scale of one to ten. How much
- 40:17Speaker 11: more confident are you right now with the Kraken and
- 40:20Speaker 11: their stands right now in this playoff race? Four nine
- 40:23Speaker 11: four five one Tacoma Dodge text line. Initially, my thought
- 40:28Speaker 11: is this, when you come into March, it has a
- 40:32Speaker 11: three point gap. Right now the Krack can have established
- 40:35Speaker 11: essentially over bowled Nashville and also Los Angeles. So much
- 40:40Speaker 11: talk back two three months ago, could they at least
- 40:44Speaker 11: play meaningful games in March.
- 40:47Speaker 1: They're going to get that.
- 40:49Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 40:49Speaker 11: I think beyond that though, just from a bare minimum standpoint,
- 40:53Speaker 11: the playoffs are very much a reality now. The playoffs
- 40:56Speaker 11: are the bar in which has been set here for
- 40:59Speaker 11: this team. And I think when you look at this
- 41:01Speaker 11: here from the optics of that from the last two seasons,
- 41:04Speaker 11: and how much of a thud had ended here the
- 41:06Speaker 11: playoffs does such a dramatic you turn, I think for
- 41:10Speaker 11: where this organization, this team is going to be heading years.
- 41:13Speaker 11: So they're in a good position right now. Again, there's
- 41:15Speaker 11: still plenty of miles here to go, but I think
- 41:19Speaker 11: when you consider just how much this season was teetering
- 41:22Speaker 11: on the brink back in December.
- 41:24Speaker 1: This is what you should This is basically what you
- 41:25Speaker 1: could have asked for.
- 41:26Speaker 25: Yeah, and I want to get greedy, but I think
- 41:28Speaker 25: we could start to have higher expectations than just playing
- 41:31Speaker 25: meaningful games in March. We should expect this team to
- 41:34Speaker 25: go to the playoffs, and I think that would indicate
- 41:37Speaker 25: that this we're getting back on track, kind of back
- 41:39Speaker 25: on the track that we thought we were going on
- 41:41Speaker 25: in the first couple of years of this franchise. So
- 41:44Speaker 25: that would be huge for these group. And I think
- 41:46Speaker 25: these guys know it too. It was disappointing to see
- 41:48Speaker 25: them come out of the break like they did against
- 41:51Speaker 25: Saint Louis and against Dallas, but they got it back
- 41:54Speaker 25: on track tonight. The Carolina game is gonna be huge
- 41:56Speaker 25: on Monday. So I think that's one of the best
- 41:59Speaker 25: teams league. That's a big kind of measuring stick. It's
- 42:02Speaker 25: one thing to beat the Vancouvers of the world that
- 42:04Speaker 25: are ten points worse than the second worst team in
- 42:06Speaker 25: the league right now in terms of points. It's another
- 42:10Speaker 25: to beat probably one of the best teams in the
- 42:12Speaker 25: NHL in Carolina. So I think it's a big test
- 42:15Speaker 25: to see where these guys are at right now and
- 42:16Speaker 25: kind of where their their heads are at, their minds
- 42:19Speaker 25: are at. But I think they like playing on home
- 42:20Speaker 25: ice too. That's something that I've noticed as well, Like
- 42:23Speaker 25: you had a huge break and then you come back
- 42:25Speaker 25: and you're still on the road getting back at home
- 42:28Speaker 25: at Climate Pledge Arena, the crowd was into it tonight.
- 42:30Speaker 25: I think the guys fed off that and it's good
- 42:32Speaker 25: to kind of have a nice long home stand that
- 42:34Speaker 25: they have.
- 42:34Speaker 1: And see.
- 42:34Speaker 11: One thing with that too is how much have we
- 42:37Speaker 11: talked about that as a sizeable advantage here for this
- 42:39Speaker 11: franchise last couple of years, we really have it. Even
- 42:42Speaker 11: back in the playoff you're in twenty twenty two to
- 42:44Speaker 11: twenty three, they were much better on the road than
- 42:46Speaker 11: they were at home. Yeah, that is all of a
- 42:48Speaker 11: sudden now changing. I think you can kind of point
- 42:50Speaker 11: to a few things they tweet tear behind the scenes.
- 42:53Speaker 11: I think first of all, First of all, moving morning
- 42:56Speaker 11: skate from their home practice rink at climb up from
- 43:00Speaker 11: from CASEI right down to here makes a big difference.
- 43:03Speaker 11: We've heard some different reasons why. But you get a
- 43:06Speaker 11: sense where you're settling into a game environment and it
- 43:09Speaker 11: feels repetitive, it feels habitual, and it has begun to
- 43:12Speaker 11: essentially payoff. Were now Andrews, they're five wins shy of
- 43:16Speaker 11: tying their franchise record for most home wins in one season.
- 43:20Speaker 25: Yeah, and that's going to be huge in the playoffs
- 43:22Speaker 25: as well, because right now you are in the last
- 43:23Speaker 25: wildcard spot, but you're only two points back of second
- 43:27Speaker 25: place in the Pacific right now, so you have a
- 43:29Speaker 25: good opportunity not just to get in the playoffs because
- 43:32Speaker 25: it's so tight in the rest of the West, especially
- 43:35Speaker 25: the Pacific Division. Here, you have an opportunity to get
- 43:38Speaker 25: home home ice advantage in the playoffs, which I think
- 43:40Speaker 25: that's gonna be something that would be huge, as we
- 43:42Speaker 25: just talked about.
- 43:43Speaker 4: So I don't know.
- 43:45Speaker 25: I think this game is big because it kind of
- 43:47Speaker 25: re solidified yourself. If you were to have the worst
- 43:50Speaker 25: case scenario and drop this one, you're starting to really
- 43:53Speaker 25: have questions going into the trade deadline on Friday. So
- 43:56Speaker 25: it's good that they kind of, you know, push those
- 43:58Speaker 25: back at least a couple extra days. Hopefully they can
- 44:01Speaker 25: start to gather some momentum and then continue to add
- 44:05Speaker 25: at the deadline to help them get to that playoff push.
- 44:07Speaker 11: There are so many teams that were so condensed within
- 44:11Speaker 11: this playoff race, and now we're beginning to see a
- 44:14Speaker 11: little bit more separation and the talk against the hockey
- 44:17Speaker 11: role those we haven't seen many trades after the Olympic
- 44:21Speaker 11: break because there are teams still trying to figure it
- 44:24Speaker 11: out if they're a buyer or they're a seller. Le
- 44:26Speaker 11: Now we are inside one week to go here before
- 44:29Speaker 11: the trade deadline that is Friday, coming up at noon.
- 44:32Speaker 11: So for a win like this, how much more convince
- 44:36Speaker 11: are you the Kraken could be a buyer in this sense?
- 44:38Speaker 25: Well, yeah, and that's a good question because I think
- 44:42Speaker 25: especially with I know everyone wants to think, Okay, you're
- 44:45Speaker 25: either all in or you're all out right, you've got
- 44:47Speaker 25: to take advantage of the guys that aren't expiring contracts,
- 44:49Speaker 25: or you got to go and make a run. I
- 44:52Speaker 25: think there can be some room for sort of half in,
- 44:56Speaker 25: half out. So situation, not everyone is going to completely
- 44:59Speaker 25: go all in mortgage the future to go all in
- 45:01Speaker 25: this year, but not everyone's gonna you know, besides the
- 45:04Speaker 25: Vancouvers of the world literally get rid of all their
- 45:06Speaker 25: expiring contracts. Right So the Kraken I think can do
- 45:09Speaker 25: the little dip one foot in and one foot out
- 45:12Speaker 25: sort of situation. But I think that can also help
- 45:15Speaker 25: them this year specifically, just because you are getting rid
- 45:18Speaker 25: of a guy that's been part of this corps. I
- 45:21Speaker 25: don't have an example at the top of my head,
- 45:23Speaker 25: there's a couple guys on expiring contracts. If you were
- 45:26Speaker 25: to make a trade, that's kind of a win win
- 45:27Speaker 25: situation where you get a guy that helps you, helps
- 45:30Speaker 25: your offense maybe a little bit, and you get rid
- 45:33Speaker 25: of an expiring contract at the same time. That's where
- 45:36Speaker 25: it's like, Okay, you can both help yourself this year
- 45:39Speaker 25: in your playoff push, but then also get yourself in
- 45:42Speaker 25: better position in the years to come as well.
- 45:44Speaker 11: Four nine, four or five one Texas right now scale
- 45:46Speaker 11: a one to ten your level of confidence here for
- 45:48Speaker 11: the crack and in this playoff race after a win
- 45:51Speaker 11: like this year for tonight. I'll add onto that, by
- 45:53Speaker 11: the way, and something that John Forslnn mentioned with me
- 45:57Speaker 11: earlier on a crack in this morning Drop from a
- 45:59Speaker 11: few days days ago, and that I go back to
- 46:02Speaker 11: earlier this month, you didn't land reportedly are Timmy Panaer
- 46:05Speaker 11: and he went to the Kings and that thing. For
- 46:07Speaker 11: many reports it was one place and one place only
- 46:09Speaker 11: he was going. But that attempt, that swing was about optics, Yeah,
- 46:13Speaker 11: because it shows so many fans that you're serious about
- 46:18Speaker 11: addressing this need for a superstar score.
- 46:20Speaker 1: We don't know when it's going to happen.
- 46:22Speaker 11: It could be within a few days, it happens, it
- 46:24Speaker 11: could be this summer, who knows. But yet there is
- 46:27Speaker 11: a commitment that is so important to show that you
- 46:30Speaker 11: are taking swings to bring in that big fish which
- 46:33Speaker 11: really has been lacking here for the first you know,
- 46:35Speaker 11: roughly four seasons.
- 46:36Speaker 1: Yeah, it's good optically to see a season.
- 46:38Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 46:38Speaker 25: Yeah, yeah, it's good optically to see that that's kind
- 46:41Speaker 25: of where their head is at, at least the front office.
- 46:43Speaker 25: But I don't want to go full on into the
- 46:47Speaker 25: let's pat someone on the back for something that almost happened, right.
- 46:50Speaker 25: I realized that the circumstances were out of your control
- 46:53Speaker 25: in order to land our Timmy Panair and he ends
- 46:55Speaker 25: up reportedly taking less money to go play for LA
- 46:58Speaker 25: because of you know, that was his desire to go,
- 47:01Speaker 25: but we have to, like we're past the point of saying, oh,
- 47:05Speaker 25: at least they tried, you know what I mean, you
- 47:07Speaker 25: gotta get it over the line, whether that's you know,
- 47:10Speaker 25: a kind of by full committee approach and then going
- 47:14Speaker 25: winning a couple of playoff series or getting a full
- 47:18Speaker 25: top line guy that we've been kind of clamoring for
- 47:20Speaker 25: for the last couple of years. So I hope that
- 47:22Speaker 25: that's where they're at. Maybe that comes to the trading
- 47:24Speaker 25: deadline season, that would be such a rejuvenating feeling. Maybe
- 47:28Speaker 25: a couple wins going into that mode would be just
- 47:30Speaker 25: perfect to kind of gather the hockey momentum that after
- 47:33Speaker 25: the Olympics and the Kraken right now in a playoff
- 47:36Speaker 25: position would be awesome for this city. And I we
- 47:39Speaker 25: all saw what playoff hockey does at Coliment Pledgerina.
- 47:42Speaker 1: It's so fun to watch four nine four to five one.
- 47:44Speaker 11: Tell us if you feel a superstar is coming, maybe
- 47:47Speaker 11: shaken loose by a trade now or the summer, how
- 47:49Speaker 11: would you feel about the addition at this point again
- 47:52Speaker 11: four nine four five one, We're gonna get to some
- 47:54Speaker 11: reaction just a bit. I do want to check in downstairs,
- 47:57Speaker 11: Jordan neverly meeting with the media, the cat in the
- 47:59Speaker 11: big game for a night like this with a cracket
- 48:01Speaker 11: needed two points and here zebra Le and his reaction.
- 48:03Speaker 1: Right now, you.
- 48:04Speaker 26: Guys got off to a great start tonight. What do
- 48:07Speaker 26: you what did you guys talk a little bit about
- 48:08Speaker 26: that coming into the game.
- 48:11Speaker 27: I think just getting back to our game. The two
- 48:13Speaker 27: games on the road obviously did not play well, you know,
- 48:17Speaker 27: just getting some energy, getting some momentum, gets a little
- 48:21Speaker 27: more passion.
- 48:21Speaker 4: I think I thought we did that.
- 48:22Speaker 1: We started great.
- 48:24Speaker 27: Obviously, you get two bowls, they score to make it
- 48:26Speaker 27: two one and a little diversity, but find a way
- 48:28Speaker 27: to keep it going.
- 48:29Speaker 1: So good effort tonight, we go to keep going.
- 48:32Speaker 27: What was the reaction after they announced third goal and
- 48:34Speaker 27: then they announced scoring change and all the hats it
- 48:36Speaker 27: gone this again, let's come through your mind at that point,
- 48:39Speaker 27: I felt bad for the fans.
- 48:41Speaker 4: I think.
- 48:41Speaker 27: I think that's the second time that's happened this year
- 48:43Speaker 27: too with Jared mccannon. I think he had one and
- 48:45Speaker 27: then they disallowed it and give some penalty. So I
- 48:48Speaker 27: think we they feel some fans, some hats.
- 48:54Speaker 28: Just having the rufflo road trip here to come back
- 48:57Speaker 28: and make sure that this streak didn't get the three
- 48:59Speaker 28: and the you were able to take care of business today.
- 49:02Speaker 28: How big is that to kind of jump start this
- 49:04Speaker 28: restart for you guys.
- 49:05Speaker 27: Yeah, I mean you look at the standings and where
- 49:09Speaker 27: we're at. It's just every game's playoff game. So yeah,
- 49:13Speaker 27: big win. Obviously a team that you know, they they
- 49:17Speaker 27: play hard, they're they're not an easy team, and you
- 49:20Speaker 27: know we're gonna have that the whole way through every team,
- 49:22Speaker 27: whether they're fighting for a playoff spot or they're playing
- 49:25Speaker 27: playing easy and free. So the biggest thing is that
- 49:27Speaker 27: we're going to just keep building it back to uh,
- 49:30Speaker 27: you know, the way we were playing before the break
- 49:31Speaker 27: which I thought for the most part we did tonight
- 49:32Speaker 27: and just could keep going.
- 49:34Speaker 29: Hey, how about how about those wheels on that breakaway?
- 49:39Speaker 29: You're going to teach the kids something, right.
- 49:43Speaker 27: I don't know what the top speed was there, but
- 49:45Speaker 27: I'm sure I didn't catch any of the kids.
- 49:49Speaker 1: As short and that really, my goodness, that was good.
- 49:52Speaker 1: I guess you're now on.
- 49:53Speaker 11: A mission here to to repay back with some hats
- 49:56Speaker 11: here eventually down the road.
- 49:57Speaker 25: I mean, they do they do? Ow I feel for those,
- 50:00Speaker 25: He's like, oh, let's go, we're at We're at a
- 50:02Speaker 25: cracking game.
- 50:03Speaker 1: It's a it is kind of a we all thought
- 50:04Speaker 1: it was a net. I did too.
- 50:06Speaker 4: I was.
- 50:06Speaker 1: I was kind of.
- 50:07Speaker 25: Waiting for it to get on. I was like, Okay,
- 50:08Speaker 25: are they going to start throwing the hats? And then
- 50:10Speaker 25: they did and uh, and then eventually it.
- 50:12Speaker 1: Was pulled back.
- 50:13Speaker 25: So I was like, Okay, great, but I want to
- 50:14Speaker 25: mention really quick.
- 50:16Speaker 26: Uh.
- 50:16Speaker 25: Jordan Everley just his leadership, but also lost in the Saska.
- 50:19Speaker 25: You score five goals, that's gonna be kind of the story,
- 50:22Speaker 25: especially scoring only two in the last two games. Joey
- 50:26Speaker 25: Decord played awesome tonight. Yes, I think there was. It
- 50:29Speaker 25: wasn't just one of those games where you dominate defensively.
- 50:31Speaker 25: He was asked to make some saves. Uh, and it
- 50:34Speaker 25: was great to see him kind of bounce back a
- 50:36Speaker 25: little bit after the Dallas performance that he had. Wasn't
- 50:40Speaker 25: an awful game for it, but you know, he would
- 50:42Speaker 25: say himself that he expected to be better, and tonight
- 50:45Speaker 25: he was. It was good to see. If you get
- 50:47Speaker 25: that kind of goaltending, you're going to go a long
- 50:48Speaker 25: way this year.
- 50:49Speaker 11: Joey decord now going back in the last six games
- 50:53Speaker 11: is five and one after a twenty seven save efforts,
- 50:57Speaker 11: so certainly some props.
- 50:59Speaker 1: Definitely this before we go to breakless.
- 51:01Speaker 11: Check in here with the Takoma Doadge text line again
- 51:04Speaker 11: Takoma Dodge, Chrysler Ge b ram By the corner of
- 51:06Speaker 11: thirty eighth and South tacombaway the intersection of savings. Four
- 51:10Speaker 11: to two five reaction from Jeff saying classic everly backhand
- 51:14Speaker 11: he wants a two year extension here for wow. Jordan
- 51:17Speaker 11: Eberlieve that from Jeff in the four to two five
- 51:19Speaker 11: separately four to two five, saying seven out of ten
- 51:22Speaker 11: a passing grade as far as confidence here in this
- 51:25Speaker 11: playoff picture, but need to step it up here to
- 51:28Speaker 11: make noise in the playoffs.
- 51:29Speaker 1: I think I agree with that.
- 51:30Speaker 25: Holding serve is what I kind of the term I
- 51:33Speaker 25: kind of keep going back to, like you're not necessarily
- 51:36Speaker 25: taking advantage of how tight everything is, but you're keeping
- 51:39Speaker 25: your spot, and that's all you can kind of ask
- 51:41Speaker 25: for at this point. Get to the playoffs, anything can happen.
- 51:44Speaker 25: Maybe add a couple guys of the deadline and gather
- 51:47Speaker 25: some momentum.
- 51:48Speaker 11: Tyler on a Twitter an next saying, beating Vancouver is
- 51:51Speaker 11: a given if you're a serious team. Essentially here Alasa
- 51:54Speaker 11: would have done a lot of damage as far as confidence.
- 51:56Speaker 11: But this kind of serves as a let's see what
- 51:59Speaker 11: happens against Carolina. That from Tyler at Twitter and X
- 52:04Speaker 11: from Maddie saying they beat the Canucks, but gonna have
- 52:06Speaker 11: to see them beat other playoff contenders here in the
- 52:09Speaker 11: oncoming days. And I think a testament here to you know,
- 52:13Speaker 11: the fans who have watched this game, they've consumed this game,
- 52:16Speaker 11: TV radio, wherever. You have expectations, but you're not resting
- 52:21Speaker 11: on laurels here from a night like this, because there's
- 52:23Speaker 11: understanding as far as the gauge of your opponent's two points.
- 52:27Speaker 11: But while you don't say there's a guaranteed two point
- 52:31Speaker 11: nine anymore on the NHL, they had to take care
- 52:33Speaker 11: of business against a team that was flailing, and they
- 52:35Speaker 11: do so. But now there's a recognition that you've got
- 52:39Speaker 11: tougher opponents ahead, especially starting on Monday.
- 52:41Speaker 25: Yeah, and let's be honest, like, let's call a spade
- 52:43Speaker 25: a spade. This is as close as it's gonna get
- 52:45Speaker 25: to a guaranteed two points tonight against Vancouver at home
- 52:49Speaker 25: after losing two that you need to get this one
- 52:51Speaker 25: back here in the midst of a playoff race versus
- 52:53Speaker 25: Vancouver's failing. But they got it done. They got absolutely
- 52:56Speaker 25: got it done. I'm not trying to diminish anything that
- 52:58Speaker 25: they accomplished, but it was much needed. I think a
- 53:02Speaker 25: perfect time for that game to come, for sure, So
- 53:05Speaker 25: hopefully they can build on that come Monday against Carolina,
- 53:07Speaker 25: You're gonna be a much different game.
- 53:08Speaker 1: I can almost guarantee that I want.
- 53:10Speaker 11: To get more reaction here from you folks again Texas
- 53:12Speaker 11: four nine four five one scale a one to ten.
- 53:15Speaker 11: What number do you give this game as far as
- 53:17Speaker 11: your level of confidence here for the Krack in the
- 53:19Speaker 11: playoffs or tell us what you want to see? Maybe
- 53:21Speaker 11: the trade deadline coming in last and a week again,
- 53:24Speaker 11: that's Friday at noon again four nine four five one
- 53:28Speaker 11: on the Tacoma Dodge text line back after this with
- 53:32Speaker 11: reaction from crackenhead coach Lane Lambert, Mike Benton, Andrew surs
- 53:35Speaker 11: with you kracking five to one win they knock off
- 53:38Speaker 11: the Vancouver Canucks Right here, This is Tucking Kraken on
- 53:41Speaker 11: ninety three to three KJRFM.
- 53:44Speaker 2: If you've got to come in about tonight's kracking game,
- 53:47Speaker 2: make sure we hear about it. Just text us at
- 53:49Speaker 2: four nine four five one. Now back to Tucking Kraken
- 53:53Speaker 2: with Mike Benton on Sports Radio ninety three point three
- 53:57Speaker 2: kJ r FM.
- 53:59Speaker 11: Check again if it's a homadads text line two five
- 54:01Speaker 11: three saying five out of ten. Here for a level
- 54:04Speaker 11: of confidence. Outscored nine to two last two games before tonight,
- 54:08Speaker 11: but just need to see some more offense here at
- 54:10Speaker 11: the deadline. Now for the two five three two a six,
- 54:12Speaker 11: saying give it a six out of ten here as
- 54:14Speaker 11: far as confidence in the playoff, picture of that from
- 54:17Speaker 11: the two six crack It knock off Vancouver five to one.
- 54:21Speaker 11: Mike Benton andrewsurs with you downstairs we go once again.
- 54:24Speaker 11: Here's reaction from crackenhead coach Laine Lambert.
- 54:28Speaker 30: Coach, what parts of your team's game were you proud
- 54:30Speaker 30: of tonight? I thought we were consistent really from the
- 54:35Speaker 30: from the from the drop of the puck. We were
- 54:38Speaker 30: in my mind, we were all business. And you know
- 54:41Speaker 30: I say that, I don't. I don't say we're not
- 54:45Speaker 30: all business other nights, but I think that you know,
- 54:48Speaker 30: from the leadership standpoint, our leadership group, I thought we
- 54:51Speaker 30: were all business this morning and morning skate. I think
- 54:55Speaker 30: it carried over. So I liked our consistency from start
- 54:58Speaker 30: to finish.
- 55:00Speaker 28: With the sprint that you guys have towards the finish here.
- 55:03Speaker 28: How important was was it to get this one and
- 55:05Speaker 28: not that like two become three and kind of with
- 55:07Speaker 28: where you guys are at and how tight everything is.
- 55:09Speaker 30: Yeah, I mean, you know, every game is obviously huge,
- 55:13Speaker 30: but you know, you said it, you can't let two
- 55:15Speaker 30: become three. You have to you have to stop the
- 55:19Speaker 30: bad before it gets really bad, you know. And we
- 55:23Speaker 30: knew that we didn't play as good as we can
- 55:26Speaker 30: in the first two games back from the break, you know,
- 55:29Speaker 30: And so we got that one and now we have
- 55:32Speaker 30: to move on. We've got Carolina on Monday, and they're very,
- 55:35Speaker 30: very good hockey team.
- 55:37Speaker 28: And would you like about the offensive play kind of
- 55:39Speaker 28: overall tonight after just getting.
- 55:40Speaker 4: Two on the on the trip here? I liked it
- 55:42Speaker 4: a lot.
- 55:43Speaker 30: You know. It was nice to see, you know, us
- 55:45Speaker 30: putting some bucks in the net and getting rewarded. You know,
- 55:49Speaker 30: we talked about a shop mentality a little bit. I
- 55:51Speaker 30: still think we can do a better job of that.
- 55:53Speaker 30: I still think we have to do a better job
- 55:54Speaker 30: of that, but certainly if you look at, you know,
- 55:56Speaker 30: the first two goals, we've got traffic and the way
- 56:00Speaker 30: you're going to have to score here down the stretch,
- 56:02Speaker 30: and you know, in the playoffs.
- 56:04Speaker 29: Coach, it seemed like the difference tonight wasn't just the
- 56:09Speaker 29: shots on goal, because there were twenty four it's not
- 56:12Speaker 29: an enormous number, but the scoring chances, the types of shots,
- 56:17Speaker 29: the quality of shots seemed to be much greater.
- 56:19Speaker 1: Is that the way you saw it as well?
- 56:21Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 56:21Speaker 30: I thought I thought we executed pretty well tonight. And
- 56:28Speaker 30: you know, I think overall, even when I watched the
- 56:31Speaker 30: games on TV before our game, I think the league
- 56:34Speaker 30: is starting to execute better coming out of the break now.
- 56:38Speaker 30: So yeah, I thought we generated some pretty good looks
- 56:42Speaker 30: and we moved the puck well and had some quality opportunities.
- 56:44Speaker 29: And would you like to comment on Maddy Binier's taking
- 56:47Speaker 29: the league lead in a racing teammate hat.
- 56:52Speaker 4: Yeah, that's a good question.
- 56:54Speaker 30: I mean, I don't know what's happening here, but there's
- 56:57Speaker 30: a lot of hats that went for not here in
- 56:59Speaker 30: two games.
- 57:00Speaker 4: Here.
- 57:02Speaker 9: Could you provide clarity on Ryan Lindren's status.
- 57:07Speaker 30: Uh, yeah, he's put it this way, he's status quo.
- 57:11Speaker 30: He's on IR. He's trending in the right direction. But
- 57:15Speaker 30: you know, as of now he's not ready to play.
- 57:19Speaker 1: He went on IR today. Pardon did he go on
- 57:21Speaker 1: i R today?
- 57:22Speaker 4: Well, he's he's injured. Let's put it that way.
- 57:26Speaker 26: And you know, obviously some great performances from different players tonight,
- 57:30Speaker 26: but especially for you, what do you think of Jura
- 57:33Speaker 26: iberleeze night?
- 57:34Speaker 4: Yeah, I thought he had a good night.
- 57:37Speaker 30: I thought, uh, you know, he he led our team.
- 57:40Speaker 30: He's a captain of our hockey team. I think that
- 57:43Speaker 30: he knew the magnitude of this hockey game and he
- 57:46Speaker 30: stepped up.
- 57:48Speaker 11: That from Crack and head coach Lane Lambert after a
- 57:50Speaker 11: five to one win. And first I want to touch
- 57:52Speaker 11: on the Ryan Lindgren thing because of the Crack and
- 57:54Speaker 11: haven't seen him since the Dallas game, Andrews and you know,
- 57:57Speaker 11: here for a night like this where you get five,
- 57:59Speaker 11: I mean this is where I think down the stretch
- 58:01Speaker 11: facing tough opponents, where len Gren getting him back and
- 58:05Speaker 11: is going to be so critical because of what he
- 58:08Speaker 11: does back in their own zone and clearing bodies front
- 58:11Speaker 11: of them as well.
- 58:11Speaker 25: Yeah, it's gonna be huge. Hopefully he gets back by Monday.
- 58:14Speaker 25: It did come out that Lane Lambert's giving the guys
- 58:16Speaker 25: a day off tomorrow, which I think is you know,
- 58:19Speaker 25: a very kind of read the room situation. Right, Hey,
- 58:22Speaker 25: a couple bad losses on the road, we come back,
- 58:25Speaker 25: get a big one at home. We have a big
- 58:27Speaker 25: one coming up on Monday. Take you'll remember this one.
- 58:31Speaker 25: Keep it in your heads. This is what we exactly
- 58:33Speaker 25: how we need to play every night, right, play hard, PK, power,
- 58:38Speaker 25: play all that stuff. Good goal attending and remember that
- 58:41Speaker 25: for Monday. I think that'll be a good kind of uh,
- 58:43Speaker 25: you know thing that'll go a long way within the
- 58:45Speaker 25: locker room.
- 58:46Speaker 1: Before we go.
- 58:47Speaker 11: Big hill to climb coming up on Monday against Carolina,
- 58:50Speaker 11: and they are a juggernaut right now.
- 58:53Speaker 1: It looks like in.
- 58:54Speaker 11: This picture for this season. Yeah, they use the term
- 58:56Speaker 11: wagon unit whatever fit best goals for in the NHL
- 59:00Speaker 11: this season six best goals a lot as well. Under
- 59:03Speaker 11: head coach Rob Brenda Moore, they turn this whole effort
- 59:07Speaker 11: of sixteen minutes into basically a three period cardio workout
- 59:11Speaker 11: for an NHL game. So I think for me, the
- 59:13Speaker 11: biggest key and I think you have to expect to
- 59:15Speaker 11: try to win this game. Maybe three two two one.
- 59:18Speaker 11: Can you skate with them shift by shift at five
- 59:21Speaker 11: on five?
- 59:21Speaker 25: Yeah, I think they can. Honestly, if they play like
- 59:23Speaker 25: they did tonight. It's gonna be that fourth line. Every
- 59:26Speaker 25: single line is gonna have a role to play. The
- 59:27Speaker 25: top line needs to be good. They need to score.
- 59:29Speaker 25: The power play needs to be good, the power the
- 59:31Speaker 25: penalty killer needs to be good.
- 59:32Speaker 20: There.
- 59:33Speaker 25: Carolina's power play isn't good overall, but they've been really
- 59:35Speaker 25: good the last month or so. The fourth line is
- 59:38Speaker 25: gonna need to be physical. The third line is gonna
- 59:41Speaker 25: need to play really good defense. They're just everyone needs
- 59:44Speaker 25: to play their role and hopefully we get Ryan Lindred
- 59:47Speaker 25: blocked back to kind of like you said, clear out
- 59:50Speaker 25: in the front of the net. Be that kind of
- 59:51Speaker 25: physical presence, you know on the defensive blue line.
- 59:54Speaker 11: Crack And fell three to two to Carolina. First matchup
- 59:57Speaker 11: in Carolina back on January tenth, aiming for the split
- 1:00:01Speaker 11: and also first home win over Carolina since October eight
- 1:00:04Speaker 11: or nineteenth of twenty twenty three. As a face of
- 1:00:08Speaker 11: Hurricanes coming up next here for Game two of the
- 1:00:11Speaker 11: sixteen road trip. That is certainly going to be a challenge.
- 1:00:14Speaker 11: Hey one, appreciate you. Thanks again, man, Thank you here.
- 1:00:17Speaker 11: Thanks again to also Travis Mulger, technical director. Also Terry
- 1:00:21Speaker 11: Ryan are on site engineer, and certainly for your reaction friends,
- 1:00:25Speaker 11: all night long as that will do it for here,
- 1:00:26Speaker 11: We'll talk to you Bunday again face off at seven
- 1:00:29Speaker 11: on air six thirty for anders Hurst and also for Everett.
- 1:00:33Speaker 11: Now this is Mike Bent and saying goodnight from Climbing
- 1:00:35Speaker 11: Pledge Arena and thank you for joining us. Your final
- 1:00:37Speaker 11: score once again the Seattle crack In five and the
- 1:00:40Speaker 11: Vancouver Canucks one. This is Talking Cracking on ninety three
- 1:00:44Speaker 11: to three KJRFM
