- 0:40Speaker 1: to be more intentional through stories that we tell, through
- 0:42Speaker 1: stories that we share, from comments that you guys leave,
- 0:45Speaker 1: from stories that you share with us in our dms
- 0:47Speaker 1: on social media, and we also have a hotline six
- 0:51Speaker 1: on one. The Dads will be featuring a few phone
- 0:53Speaker 1: calls and we just want to create a space. Our
- 0:56Speaker 1: goal is to create a space to where you feel
- 0:59Speaker 1: like you are not a loan because these kiddos are
- 1:02Speaker 1: batshit crazy. Our partner at times can make us batchit crazy.
- 1:05Speaker 1: We can make our partners batchit crazy because we are
- 1:08Speaker 1: also batchit crazy. This show is free for you on
- 1:12Speaker 1: all platforms. We create content on social media at for
- 1:16Speaker 1: the Dad's Pot. We create this content to give you
- 1:19Speaker 1: guys a little laugh, maybe share, or feel a type
- 1:21Speaker 1: of emotion. But this show we give you for free.
- 1:25Speaker 1: All we simply ask in return if we bring the
- 1:28Speaker 1: juice general schrm over there, Willy one Shelf. I see
- 1:31Speaker 1: that that nickname is kind of catching on. Love it
- 1:34Speaker 1: also kind of hate how it was born, but I
- 1:37Speaker 1: love people hit me with will we one Shelf? All
- 1:39Speaker 1: we ask in return is that you simply subscribe to
- 1:42Speaker 1: our channel, that you simply follow us on social media
- 1:46Speaker 1: app for the Dad's Pod, follow us on Apple, follow
- 1:49Speaker 1: us on Spotify, Spotify now their platform is evolving into
- 1:53Speaker 1: a little bit of a social media ask platform. I
- 1:55Speaker 1: see that there's comments now that's on Spotify. But all
- 1:58Speaker 1: you gotta do on Spotify is hit the follow button.
- 2:00Speaker 1: That would really help out the boys a lot. And
- 2:03Speaker 1: if you if you really want to be a PT
- 2:06Speaker 1: six sicco and you want to solidify yourself in the
- 2:09Speaker 1: rank of Papa Team six, or maybe you're in buds
- 2:12Speaker 1: trading right now, which is breeding until dad status, or
- 2:15Speaker 1: you're on Milk Team six. We're gonna read a couple
- 2:17Speaker 1: comments from Milk Team sixers out there, the moms, BWTV
- 2:22Speaker 1: dot com, hats, hoodies, We had new hoodie drop this week.
- 2:26Speaker 1: Matter of fact, Cooper comstock or graphic designer. He was
- 2:28Speaker 1: just in here feeling me up, Saga. This is his
- 2:30Speaker 1: favorite hoodie you've seen. He actually wants to buy his dad.
- 2:34Speaker 1: So spoiler alert if Papa Coop, if Papa Coop is
- 2:37Speaker 1: out there watching, he wants to get you this hoodie
- 2:39Speaker 1: which is embroider, got Dad across the chest, the colors
- 2:42Speaker 1: navy blue, red cream, the bwtb etched on the side.
- 2:46Speaker 1: But that is how you become a true PT six
- 2:48Speaker 1: sicco That's how you truly solidify yourself in the Papa
- 2:50Speaker 1: Team six regime. Because again we have PT six shirts.
- 2:54Speaker 1: They're being shown out there. Guys. We love it, Yes,
- 2:58Speaker 1: we love it. We love it.
- 2:59Speaker 2: And if there's anything that not that I pride myself
- 3:02Speaker 2: on but I really try to do, is if there
- 3:04Speaker 2: is a product that we are pushing and I really
- 3:07Speaker 2: love it. I tried to really be like, hey, this
- 3:11Speaker 2: is a good product and the hoodie.
- 3:13Speaker 1: I put a tweet out.
- 3:14Speaker 2: And I was like, I know that this is our
- 3:15Speaker 2: podcast obviously, but that thing is comfy.
- 3:19Speaker 1: It compy. This ain't no cheap shit on this, on
- 3:22Speaker 1: this hoodie, on this hoodie. This is a durable, super comfortable,
- 3:27Speaker 1: embroidered Yeah, hoodie. We also got the penance behind Shuham
- 3:31Speaker 1: that you can cop. We got the onesies. We got
- 3:33Speaker 1: onesies out that we just drop with just good God ones. Yeah.
- 3:39Speaker 1: Should we tease shout out Jocko willing Hey, shout out
- 3:42Speaker 1: Jocko Willick.
- 3:43Speaker 2: Should we tease what else might be coming out with
- 3:46Speaker 2: good because there's been some conversations, correct, chef on another
- 3:51Speaker 2: good product that.
- 3:52Speaker 1: Might be coming soon? That's correct? Do we want to
- 3:55Speaker 1: tease it right now? Listen? You know, you know Willie
- 3:58Speaker 1: one shelf. I'm trying to catch up right now? What
- 4:00Speaker 1: exactly are we teasing with the good? It fires me up.
- 4:02Speaker 1: I say go ahead and tease it. You're teasing me.
- 4:04Speaker 2: I'll act it out as he describes it, and then
- 4:07Speaker 2: we'll see if you can guess it.
- 4:09Speaker 1: Okay, if you're if you're listening, on audio. This would
- 4:13Speaker 1: be a great time to tune into YouTube. I would
- 4:15Speaker 1: turn it up. I would turn it up. I'm currently
- 4:19Speaker 1: described is bur class bur class burp class dude, I am,
- 4:25Speaker 1: I'm solid it Like we'll catchphrase that's that you can
- 4:28Speaker 1: use words. But like charades, if you get a little
- 4:31Speaker 1: family game night going on, you are you are competitorids.
- 4:37Speaker 2: We did that one Friday stream. We we used to
- 4:40Speaker 2: the back of the bus Friday.
- 4:41Speaker 1: We did what was a salad bowl.
- 4:43Speaker 2: Yes, which is like a foremost charades for anybody that's
- 4:46Speaker 2: heard of salad ball. You were cooking. Who was your teammate?
- 4:50Speaker 2: Oh no, you were like all time quarterback, like you
- 4:53Speaker 2: were on everybody's team.
- 4:55Speaker 1: You were a beast as well, shureham.
- 4:56Speaker 2: I come on, come on, I'm good at act not
- 5:00Speaker 2: as good as guessing.
- 5:01Speaker 1: If you're gonna be a dad and you still got
- 5:03Speaker 1: the competitive nature in you, you have to be good
- 5:05Speaker 1: at at game nights. Yeah. I think it's a prerequisite.
- 5:09Speaker 2: Were you all doing game nights when you were like
- 5:11Speaker 2: a kid or was that a later in life thing.
- 5:15Speaker 1: Game nights like family game nights? Yeah, yeah, yeah, no,
- 5:17Speaker 1: we would do We would do like you know, me
- 5:19Speaker 1: and the boys. We'd be playing Pokemon, Monopoly. You know,
- 5:23Speaker 1: you'd be playing Clue, Stratigo, Guess who, God, guess who?
- 5:29Speaker 1: Was so electric Checkers. There's this little race card game
- 5:34Speaker 1: that we would play. It was phenomenal. What what type
- 5:37Speaker 1: of No, I forget what it is, but it's kind
- 5:39Speaker 1: of like a role. It's kind of like a you know,
- 5:40Speaker 1: spin the wheel, dice roll oh, spinning the wheel? Was
- 5:44Speaker 1: it called life? Life?
- 5:46Speaker 2: Did you ever have the race tracks with the gun?
- 5:49Speaker 1: Of like it?
- 5:50Speaker 2: The gun basically made the cargo fast whenever you pulled
- 5:54Speaker 2: the trigger, and it's two v two Like No, it's
- 5:58Speaker 2: kind of like Hot Wheels, but like you basically have
- 6:02Speaker 2: to gauge the speed on the straightaways and like release
- 6:06Speaker 2: the speed when your car goes into the turn because
- 6:08Speaker 2: if you hold the trigger down on the turn.
- 6:11Speaker 1: You're gonna be banging up against the walls. I was
- 6:14Speaker 1: a hot wheels guy, Like you'd have the ones, but
- 6:16Speaker 1: I didn't like where it'd be like automatic to where
- 6:18Speaker 1: they're doing the loops and going to around the track.
- 6:20Speaker 1: I wanted like side by side, you let the cars
- 6:23Speaker 1: go down the hill or whatever the track is, and
- 6:26Speaker 1: I would take all my cars and we wrestled growing up,
- 6:30Speaker 1: so I was I loved brackets for whatever reason, I
- 6:32Speaker 1: love tournaments, so I would like stack and see all
- 6:36Speaker 1: of these cars and just do a massive tournament just
- 6:39Speaker 1: by myself. The build out headlines and storylines in my head.
- 6:44Speaker 2: This might be the worst advice I ever give you
- 6:47Speaker 2: as a fellow dad, But there are people on TikTok Live,
- 6:52Speaker 2: absolute hot wheel sickos that do exactly what you're describing
- 6:57Speaker 2: right now, and they do tournament brackets. They do it
- 7:00Speaker 2: on TikTok Live. And I have fallen down that rabbit
- 7:04Speaker 2: hole so many times.
- 7:06Speaker 1: Got a favorite car.
- 7:07Speaker 2: They exactly keep the score and it's like as they should.
- 7:11Speaker 2: Batmobile has twenty wins. Dude, who's the speed racer? Speed
- 7:16Speaker 2: Racer car had like eight wins.
- 7:19Speaker 1: I love that. Oh it's electric. But the parents would
- 7:23Speaker 1: always be playing playing like you know, like Rummy or
- 7:25Speaker 1: some shit. They'd have like an adult little game, be
- 7:27Speaker 1: playing cards and stuff like that. But you know that
- 7:30Speaker 1: was like over or what is it called? Phase ten?
- 7:34Speaker 1: Is that a styp Does that sound right? Got a
- 7:37Speaker 1: new social guy. He got Derek. We got a new
- 7:39Speaker 1: social guy. His name is Derek. Say shout out Derek
- 7:41Speaker 1: in the chest. Shout out. Derek never played Phase ten.
- 7:44Speaker 3: But it's in that pile of dad and mom games
- 7:46Speaker 3: that I wasn't allowed to touch as a kid. Exactly
- 7:48Speaker 3: always right there, exactly ever able to grab onto it.
- 7:51Speaker 1: And he knew when they were playing. You couldn't bother him, No,
- 7:53Speaker 1: not at all.
- 7:54Speaker 3: And they kept score and they made up the scores
- 7:56Speaker 3: every time. I don't know who was winning, but yeah,
- 7:57Speaker 3: celebrate like they did it, just kept going with it.
- 8:02Speaker 2: They just look they look awesome at their table. I
- 8:04Speaker 2: had to give a picture.
- 8:05Speaker 1: Oh you took a photo of it? Yeah, please please
- 8:08Speaker 1: put up the picture. That's a great day. Move too.
- 8:11Speaker 1: You see a moment happening. You just want to I
- 8:13Speaker 1: just want to snap a photo.
- 8:15Speaker 2: We got Derek's first time on the mic. I wish
- 8:18Speaker 2: that we had Chef's first time on the mic, but
- 8:20Speaker 2: we got of Chef.
- 8:21Speaker 1: We could have some new viewers and listeners tuned in.
- 8:24Speaker 1: We should probably break down, Penn. It just fell down
- 8:27Speaker 1: in the back and it still looks good. It does
- 8:30Speaker 1: you like that? It's still look good. I'll get a
- 8:38Speaker 1: I'll build a shelf for it. I'll hang a shelf.
- 8:40Speaker 1: We got at least I could do really one show.
- 8:42Speaker 2: We could do that after this recording. I actually have
- 8:45Speaker 2: my drill and I have some screws. We could have
- 8:48Speaker 2: a really one shell redeem himself.
- 8:50Speaker 1: What I was gonna say is there could be new
- 8:52Speaker 1: viewers tuned in that. You know, I gave him a
- 8:54Speaker 1: little bit of what we talked about at the top
- 8:55Speaker 1: of the show. But we go over dad losses, things
- 8:58Speaker 1: we crack a cold one too, or ups and downs
- 9:00Speaker 1: of fatherhood. I already mentioned the hot line. We got
- 9:03Speaker 1: dad hacks, we got survival kids, which, by the way,
- 9:06Speaker 1: I'm gonna have to lean on some dads for a
- 9:07Speaker 1: dad hack myself. So I'm gonna be asking the audience
- 9:10Speaker 1: here in a little bit, should should we hit comments?
- 9:13Speaker 1: I would love to hit comments, dude, Let's hit comments.
- 9:16Speaker 2: I'm a little bit frustrated because I meant to go
- 9:19Speaker 2: onto Apple Podcasts because I found some comments on Apple podcasts.
- 9:23Speaker 1: I haven't even dove on that platform yet. That fires
- 9:26Speaker 1: me up.
- 9:26Speaker 2: They're shouting into the ether because like, who needs Apple?
- 9:30Speaker 2: But some of the Apple podcast comments are heat. Yeah,
- 9:33Speaker 2: I wish I had pulled it.
- 9:34Speaker 1: Up, but just a I wish that I had pulled
- 9:36Speaker 1: it up a.
- 9:37Speaker 2: Blanket statement shout out PT six sikas that commented on
- 9:41Speaker 2: apple pot.
- 9:42Speaker 1: You love to see too. The PT sixers are getting
- 9:44Speaker 1: so confident in who they are that I've been seeing
- 9:48Speaker 1: people do like just their own posts shouting out for
- 9:52Speaker 1: the dads. Yes, you see that one family photo. They
- 9:54Speaker 1: just had their second one. Yeah, bookmarked it so I
- 9:56Speaker 1: can pull it up. But they just had their second one.
- 9:58Speaker 1: But he's like, if you're not tuned into four the dads,
- 10:00Speaker 1: you're missing out. Like all this stuff, like giving those
- 10:02Speaker 1: shout outs, I'm telling you, it warms the boys hearts
- 10:05Speaker 1: we shared in the group chat.
- 10:08Speaker 2: We need to start screenshotting the group chat whenever we
- 10:11Speaker 2: send stuff to each other. That's like gets us juiced
- 10:14Speaker 2: because there are multiple times that we'll send something and
- 10:18Speaker 2: be like, I cannot believe this is real, right, like
- 10:21Speaker 2: those sikos that created that group chat on Instagram with
- 10:24Speaker 2: you and me?
- 10:25Speaker 1: Yeah, but how do we open up that group chat
- 10:27Speaker 1: to any PT six? So the chat is called PT
- 10:31Speaker 1: six Sikos, and Shuram's in the loure. Like Shuram is
- 10:34Speaker 1: a he'll dive in. I wouldn't be surprised if he
- 10:37Speaker 1: has a Reddit lure going on out there. This is
- 10:39Speaker 1: a guy who dives in rabbit holes. He's on all
- 10:42Speaker 1: the message boards, he's tapped into everything underground, under the
- 10:45Speaker 1: table yep. And he sent me a screenshot that on
- 10:49Speaker 1: Instagram there was a chat that was made called PT
- 10:51Speaker 1: six Siccos and they're just dropping us a bunch of
- 10:54Speaker 1: sick AI graphics and photos of the Papa team six Bears,
- 10:58Speaker 1: not even trying to get hired. They're doing it for
- 10:59Speaker 1: the love of the game. Yeah, what was it? Raccoon
- 11:03Speaker 1: of bin Laden their creating like all the some of
- 11:06Speaker 1: the moments that we've talked about, and I'm like, how
- 11:08Speaker 1: do we open this up to all the cicicos that
- 11:10Speaker 1: want to be involved in this? Yes, that would be
- 11:12Speaker 1: a better question for you. Maybe that's some Facebook chat
- 11:15Speaker 1: or something like. I don't even know that where we
- 11:17Speaker 1: could do a Facebook group.
- 11:19Speaker 4: I brought up Reddit, but I forgot what it was,
- 11:22Speaker 4: something about we couldn't do Reddit. We can't do we
- 11:24Speaker 4: can't naturally make a reddit. We can't naturally make it.
- 11:27Speaker 4: It's some cicicos out there, redditors.
- 11:29Speaker 1: Why can't we naturally make a reddit?
- 11:31Speaker 2: It's like a unofficial official law of Reddit. Where like
- 11:35Speaker 2: it can't be used for marketing purposes, like we can't go, oh, our.
- 11:41Speaker 1: Brand can't stand up before the dad's Reddit market.
- 11:44Speaker 2: Once they get any sniff of Oh, let's secretly have
- 11:47Speaker 2: chefs start one and then oh, we'll throw in some
- 11:50Speaker 2: topics to get the people talking.
- 11:52Speaker 1: They'll be like, huh huh. This feels very.
- 11:55Speaker 4: Like so even if someone, if a cicico out there,
- 11:58Speaker 4: makes one, we can't comment that.
- 12:01Speaker 2: We could interact with it, but we can't help drive it.
- 12:04Speaker 1: So what you're saying is this is where the PT
- 12:09Speaker 1: sixers see an opportunity to just make their Reddit page
- 12:15Speaker 1: and they're the ones driving. They're the ones driving it.
- 12:18Speaker 1: Like we can't lead it, we can't can we interact
- 12:21Speaker 1: with it?
- 12:22Speaker 2: Willie Winshelf can only plug the A gap so much.
- 12:25Speaker 2: We need PT six sickos to begin plugging the A
- 12:29Speaker 2: gap now.
- 12:30Speaker 1: So Will Compton, Yes, can I have a Reddit page
- 12:33Speaker 1: and interact? Yeah?
- 12:35Speaker 2: You have a Reddit profile and and you know somebody
- 12:39Speaker 2: is putting pictures and blah blah blah, and you can be.
- 12:41Speaker 1: Like, dude, what a cicco? Okay? I love people. I
- 12:45Speaker 1: know the people out there, like on Reddit, are just
- 12:47Speaker 1: like Will has what questions are these days? Like, of
- 12:51Speaker 1: course you can make a profile. Yeah, you can make
- 12:52Speaker 1: a profile, but that would be fun if we get it.
- 12:55Speaker 1: If there's a reddit, there's listen. If the PT six
- 12:57Speaker 1: ers the sickos want to make a reddit out there,
- 12:59Speaker 1: that could be something we lean on as like another
- 13:03Speaker 1: message board. Because I just I mostly rock the YouTube
- 13:05Speaker 1: comments and for everybody listening to like, just this is
- 13:08Speaker 1: a this is a tip for the PT sixers, for
- 13:12Speaker 1: the dad's listeners, little hack, so to speak. We record
- 13:17Speaker 1: our episodes right now. We're in the cadence of recording
- 13:20Speaker 1: on Fridays, which, by the way, happy Pizza Friday. Happy
- 13:23Speaker 1: Pizza Fridays. So episode releases every Wednesday, six am in
- 13:27Speaker 1: the morning. We record the episode for the next week
- 13:30Speaker 1: on Friday, so there's about a forty eight hour window
- 13:34Speaker 1: to where we will gather the information or comments that
- 13:37Speaker 1: have been laid out. Only you know, those those couple
- 13:41Speaker 1: of days all you have. So if you leave one,
- 13:43Speaker 1: you know in the weekend or going into the next week,
- 13:46Speaker 1: they they're gonna miss the episode. We would have to
- 13:50Speaker 1: circle back to them after the fact. Yeah, So if
- 13:53Speaker 1: you're watching and listening right now, and you do if
- 13:55Speaker 1: you got to banger out there that you want to
- 13:57Speaker 1: be seen or hey, why have they I thought I
- 14:00Speaker 1: a nice little comment out there. If you do it
- 14:01Speaker 1: in those first forty eight hours, that's your best opportunity
- 14:04Speaker 1: because we always record. Yeah, we record on Fridays, and
- 14:09Speaker 1: we need.
- 14:09Speaker 2: To figure out when we're gonna record for next week.
- 14:12Speaker 1: Because you traveled, I know next week's a big week.
- 14:15Speaker 1: Next week is a very exciting week, like football season's
- 14:18Speaker 1: kicking off. I saw somebody in the locker room saying too,
- 14:20Speaker 1: So we're getting Busting with the Boys on Tuesdays, we
- 14:23Speaker 1: got the locker room, and for the dads on Wednesdays,
- 14:25Speaker 1: locker or locker room. College football on Wednesdays, locker room,
- 14:28Speaker 1: NFL on Thursdays is inside the bus on Thursdays, inside
- 14:33Speaker 1: the bus on Thursdays or Fridays. But yeah, the boys
- 14:36Speaker 1: are gonna be rolling basically all week long on our programming.
- 14:40Speaker 1: So if you're a fan of Busting with the Boys,
- 14:41Speaker 1: all of the content we put out, we're gonna be
- 14:43Speaker 1: in a pretty strong cadence throughout the entire football season.
- 14:46Speaker 1: I'm a little nervous about a pod taking a hit
- 14:49Speaker 1: because it'll be football season. Yeah. Need we just we
- 14:53Speaker 1: need to beat the sixers to stand strong.
- 14:55Speaker 2: Yeah, the Sunday, the Sunday late night late night radio
- 14:58Speaker 2: might have to come back.
- 15:01Speaker 1: What does that mean for for the dads? Like, like, oh
- 15:05Speaker 1: us recording on yes? Yeah yeah yeah, so yeah if
- 15:08Speaker 1: we switch over recorded. All I'm saying is if you
- 15:10Speaker 1: want your stuff to be seen and potentially talked about
- 15:13Speaker 1: on our show. We record on Fridays after the you know,
- 15:18Speaker 1: the most recent Wednesday release, so you got about forty
- 15:20Speaker 1: eight hours if you're trying to get to us. Uh
- 15:22Speaker 1: one that I'll start off with Martha byrne E five
- 15:26Speaker 1: to one. This is from Milk. This is a Milk
- 15:28Speaker 1: Team six operator here. I'd like to issue a bravo
- 15:30Speaker 1: Zulu to sum in one shelf for fully indoctrinating my
- 15:34Speaker 1: husband onto PT. Six. My favorite is one his it's
- 15:38Speaker 1: his turn to change a blowout and all I hear
- 15:40Speaker 1: up in the changing room is good.
- 15:44Speaker 2: I'm so stoked about that comment. But I'm so heartbroken
- 15:48Speaker 2: because I had Martha's comment.
- 15:50Speaker 1: Right, we should collabor, We should do a better job
- 15:52Speaker 1: of our pre pro meeting. You're fine, You're fine. I
- 15:55Speaker 1: got a lot though, like I was screenshotting a lot.
- 15:58Speaker 1: You know.

- 29:14Speaker 2: like a Tier one operator until the Missus returns from
- 29:17Speaker 2: her R and R and calls an audible on the

- 29:58Speaker 1: With don't spare me. Let me get verbally assaulted on
- 30:02Speaker 1: a voicemail if you need to. These dad's gotta get
- 30:05Speaker 1: something off their chest. I've gotten a little soft and
- 30:07Speaker 1: that's completely I gotta accept it. I gotta take responsibility.
- 30:11Speaker 1: I gotta go hand up. I was a bit during
- 30:13Speaker 1: that time. I love you and you need Yeah, yeah, okay,

- 30:26Speaker 2: You Hey, but you got a really good nickname out
- 30:30Speaker 2: of it. And they there may be like bad connotation,
- 30:34Speaker 2: but the denotation of Willy one Shelf is pretty sick.
- 30:37Speaker 4: It's kind of like a mafia. Like I told Willy
- 30:40Speaker 4: one Shelf it'd be something you'd hear in Goodfellas. Yeah,
- 30:44Speaker 4: the little uh, the copa cabana, it's not coba cabana.
- 30:47Speaker 4: That scene where they're doing the one take. Yes, yeah,
- 30:49Speaker 4: tell me two time. He he says everything two times,
- 30:52Speaker 4: Willy one shelf.
- 30:53Speaker 1: Yes, WILLI one shelf?
- 30:54Speaker 2: If you were to tell me, if I got in
- 30:56Speaker 2: trouble and somebody said just wait till Willy one shelf
- 30:59Speaker 2: gets here, I'd be like, fuck dude.
- 31:02Speaker 1: Yeah, And look these dads they can jump at me,
- 31:07Speaker 1: they can verbally attack me. But there are there's a
- 31:09Speaker 1: group of dads out there. Yeah, they don't like the
- 31:12Speaker 1: manual labor. Yeah, I gotta stand up and speak for him.

- 31:44Speaker 2: I'm redoing this all reminded me that I'm actually redoing
- 31:47Speaker 2: our closet at our rent house because all the original
- 31:50Speaker 2: shells that were put in were like lightweight, like dorm
- 31:54Speaker 2: room college kid type shells, and they all one night
- 31:59Speaker 2: went I'll take a picture of it.
- 32:01Speaker 1: It's actually insane. So you're gonna be in it. I'm
- 32:04Speaker 1: gonna be in it. I canna be in trenches. I'm trying.
- 32:07Speaker 2: I gonna shoot invite and be like, hey, if you
- 32:09Speaker 2: want to pop over, I could show you a thing
- 32:11Speaker 2: or two.
- 32:12Speaker 1: I'm not a pro. Okay, that's okay repairing a closet
- 32:17Speaker 1: for those reasons, I'm out, that's okay. You're Willy one Show. Yeah,
- 32:24Speaker 1: you need a shelf to hang or you want to
- 32:26Speaker 1: hang a picture, but.
- 32:27Speaker 2: I am technically hanging a shelf in the closet. We'll
- 32:31Speaker 2: see what I digress.
- 32:34Speaker 1: You know what, maybe people will hear this crazy well
- 32:37Speaker 1: can't be a homie for the boy for the boys
- 32:39Speaker 1: shirm and then maybe I'll just pop over. I pop over.
- 32:43Speaker 1: I'm like, hey, dude, you're coming to help me. I'm like, no, no,
- 32:45Speaker 1: we're just well, I'm here to get a photo. Hey,
- 32:47Speaker 1: get this, that's actually what I was just flying by it.
- 32:53Speaker 2: It's like you coming over and like doing two screens
- 32:56Speaker 2: and being like, you know, Willy One Show, got it?
- 32:58Speaker 1: He's just Fuck, that was a day, buddy.
- 33:02Speaker 2: I gotta get home and then I have a laser
- 33:04Speaker 2: level or two. It would have made you look so
- 33:06Speaker 2: official just doing the You're always.
- 33:09Speaker 1: The one, Yeah, You're always the one building and screwing stuff,
- 33:11Speaker 1: and I'm just kind of standing back and that's a
- 33:14Speaker 1: little uneven. You need a different screwdriver, not to keep
- 33:18Speaker 1: handing you different tools.
- 33:19Speaker 2: All you need in life is a high viz vest
- 33:22Speaker 2: a clipboard and just stand twenty feet back from everybody
- 33:26Speaker 2: else and just cock your head a little to the side,
- 33:28Speaker 2: and you're golden.
- 33:31Speaker 1: Dude. I saw this. I sent Charlote this this funny
- 33:35Speaker 1: video this gal made on Instagram and they're sitting here.
- 33:39Speaker 1: They are cheersing, like having a wine, yeah, toasting glass,
- 33:43Speaker 1: and then the caption over it, it's from the girl,
- 33:45Speaker 1: and her caption over it says, he doesn't know it yet,
- 33:48Speaker 1: but we have to put it, uh, put the duvet
- 33:50Speaker 1: on on before bed, not that he'll chat my ass more.
- 33:56Speaker 1: Please send that to me so I can send it. Okay, Okay,
- 34:00Speaker 1: then I'll chat my ass more than when you're getting
- 34:01Speaker 1: ready for bed. Yeah, and all of a sudden we
- 34:04Speaker 1: gotta swap the sheets out, yeah, or hey, this new
- 34:07Speaker 1: duvet cover came in. We gotta put it on, and
- 34:10Speaker 1: you're just like, can we just get in bed. You
- 34:12Speaker 1: know it's even worse is it's seven thirty ish. You
- 34:17Speaker 1: just had the most amazing dinner, you just watch the
- 34:19Speaker 1: most amazing movie. You've been horizontal on the couch, and
- 34:22Speaker 1: you're like, ooh, I'm.
- 34:23Speaker 2: A sleepy boy. I'm turning into a sleepy boy. I'm
- 34:26Speaker 2: gonna go hit the bathroom back in the bedroom. You're
- 34:28Speaker 2: walking to the bathroom and you see the bed with
- 34:32Speaker 2: no she it's completely stripped.
- 34:35Speaker 1: She didn't even warn you. Yeah, And you're just like,
- 34:40Speaker 1: but you know it. As you're gonna take a pis
- 34:42Speaker 1: and you're kind of thinking how the conversation might go,
- 34:44Speaker 1: like while you're peeing, Yes, like, let me get my
- 34:46Speaker 1: attitude right, like, let me ask you know what happened?
- 34:49Speaker 2: And you're thinking, I'm thinking in my head as I'm peeing,
- 34:52Speaker 2: I'm like, oh, well it'll probably be you know, hopefully
- 34:55Speaker 2: they're dry by now. But then I all of a sudden,
- 34:57Speaker 2: I started listening. I really opened my ears.
- 34:59Speaker 1: Up and I hear the I'm like, they're still drying
- 35:03Speaker 1: right now? We're still drying. What gets me I love you, honey, Yeah, yeah,
- 35:10Speaker 1: I love you, sweetheart. But what gets me is when
- 35:14Speaker 1: what you just explained, like say seven thirty, but let's
- 35:17Speaker 1: say it's nine o'clock and you kind of kids are down.
- 35:21Speaker 1: You've executed. Yeah, you've executed. You've watched the show, and
- 35:24Speaker 1: you've watched one episode because you're both tired, you're both sleepy,
- 35:27Speaker 1: and nine nine thirty rolls around and you're like, dude,
- 35:30Speaker 1: let's go, let's go get in bed. Let's have the
- 35:34Speaker 1: next episode in bed. Whoa, we have a TV in
- 35:37Speaker 1: the room. Oh, but it'll be we'll save the episode. However,
- 35:40Speaker 1: the picture I'm painting is you're excited, like we're gonna
- 35:44Speaker 1: get some really good sleep. Huh. And my nighttime routine
- 35:48Speaker 1: pre bed routine is a lot quicker than my wife.
- 35:50Speaker 1: She's got all the she does, all the face cleaning stuff,
- 35:53Speaker 1: got all the all the different bells and whistles that
- 35:57Speaker 1: she goes through in her routine. Her routine takes about
- 35:59Speaker 1: twenty minutes. Or I'll brush my teeth, I washed my face,
- 36:02Speaker 1: might put a little something on. If I got like
- 36:04Speaker 1: a oh little zip popping up. Let me just put
- 36:06Speaker 1: this little really, but I'll go lay in bed. I
- 36:09Speaker 1: will get in bed underneath the covers, and I'll be
- 36:12Speaker 1: laying there just doing some little doom scrolling before the
- 36:15Speaker 1: wife gets in, because I mean she comes in, I'm
- 36:16Speaker 1: likes get the photo. Do now, let's see weekend, let's see.
- 36:21Speaker 1: So you're just a demon at all time? Not at
- 36:24Speaker 1: all times, depends on the situation. But if we're in
- 36:27Speaker 1: the fourth quarter, we got a two minute drill coming.
- 36:31Speaker 1: But she'll send I'm and be like, hey, do you
- 36:34Speaker 1: might switch in the sheets out before we get bet.
- 36:36Speaker 1: I'm in bed, so what are we doing? We have sheets?
- 36:42Speaker 1: It's been what four days? I like about that party.
- 36:46Speaker 1: Usually we go I forget how long we go. I
- 36:49Speaker 1: don't even know how long we go. But that's what
- 36:51Speaker 1: Chap's my ass is. When you're in bed, Hey, hey, Sweeter,
- 36:55Speaker 1: we gotta change your sheets? Jill? Why do we gotta
- 36:57Speaker 1: change them? You see that I'm underneath. You're literally in bad.
- 37:00Speaker 2: Jill and Charrow have had some interaction by a very
- 37:04Speaker 2: small amount, and it scares me those two gang together
- 37:07Speaker 2: because every single story that you describe of Charro, you
- 37:11Speaker 2: are literally describing Jill.
- 37:14Speaker 1: We gotta get him on. They are extremely similar. All
- 37:18Speaker 1: the boys out there are just like you do that too.
- 37:23Speaker 2: And I'm nervous now because they're gonna get together. That's
- 37:26Speaker 2: the worst thing that could ever happen for us.
- 37:30Speaker 1: Yeah. Sorry, there's like it's like the missiles and gunfires
- 37:35Speaker 1: going off in my head.
- 37:37Speaker 2: All we have to do is just maintain the like
- 37:40Speaker 2: sweet dumb, golden Retriever type personality and frame of like
- 37:47Speaker 2: what we are to them, you know what I mean.
- 37:48Speaker 2: We really got to lean into that because they're gonna
- 37:51Speaker 2: get together and they're gonna be.
- 37:52Speaker 1: Like Sherman's such an idiot. He freaking does this. He
- 37:55Speaker 1: poops his pants sometimes. That's how the girls connect. They
- 37:58Speaker 1: just start using idiot stories. I guess will still pisces
- 38:01Speaker 1: a bad So. Yeah, they're very similar. They can control
- 38:07Speaker 1: the yes, oh god, Yeah, we're gonna tell what we should. Yeah,
- 38:14Speaker 1: we should, we should. We got to get the fans together.
- 38:16Speaker 1: I I do have one more because I want to
- 38:18Speaker 1: get to a question for you, please, San Antonio. Wildlife
- 38:25Speaker 1: wife is on the pupp list for two more weeks. Boys, now,
- 38:29Speaker 1: the key is to make it last more than thirty seconds.
- 38:34Speaker 2: Hey, somebody said, congrats Sherman. This was on Twitter. Congrats
- 38:38Speaker 2: Sherman for wife coming off the pup list hashag keep
- 38:43Speaker 2: it under an hour, but we won't have any problem.
- 38:47Speaker 1: Yeah. That that that message right there from San Antonio Wildlife.
- 38:50Speaker 1: You ain't going past thirty. Just let you know. It's
- 38:55Speaker 1: gonna be disappointing. It's gonna be disappointed to a spot
- 38:58Speaker 1: to where you're actually gonna tell your wife sorry, but
- 39:02Speaker 1: you gotta remind her, like I gotta build this stand
- 39:04Speaker 1: in the back up, so we just gotta you.
- 39:05Speaker 2: Know, honey, I'm sorry, I'm gonna be out of breath.
- 39:10Speaker 1: Dude, red face, red face, what's in your mind? You're
- 39:16Speaker 1: playing like you just you're gonna be the man laying
- 39:18Speaker 1: it down. You know you might have thrust her to
- 39:23Speaker 1: a couple of grunts too. He I'll go make us U.
- 39:30Speaker 1: I'll go make us some waters. That's fine. I don't
- 39:32Speaker 1: need one. You don't mean what what his mouth breathing
- 39:42Speaker 1: in her ear? She just gets her minded the what
- 39:45Speaker 1: the fun? Babe? What you said that at se too?
- 39:51Speaker 1: It's odd? Dede Right, I'm fine, and she puts three
- 39:54Speaker 1: blankets on.
- 39:58Speaker 6: Im.
- 40:00Speaker 1: I just get just getting like twice, just breathing in
- 40:07Speaker 1: your ear and then you just hear ah and he's
- 40:10Speaker 1: just like you just turn around, like what the dude
- 40:14Speaker 1: thinks he's a man? Waited I waited a month for that.
- 40:24Speaker 1: I love you, Joe, And oh god, I am sorry.
- 40:29Speaker 2: I apologize in advance, honestly.
- 40:32Speaker 1: Yeah, there you go, get out in front of it.
- 40:34Speaker 1: Get out in front of it. And I won't deny
- 40:36Speaker 1: it at all. I won't deny it it all. I
- 40:38Speaker 1: never was like that guy.
- 40:40Speaker 2: Dude, that's the thing that takes me back to high school.
- 40:42Speaker 1: Dude.
- 40:43Speaker 2: I just laughed now remembering those guys in the locker
- 40:46Speaker 2: room that when you're like a little freshman, the seniors
- 40:48Speaker 2: and juniors are talking.
- 40:50Speaker 1: Yeah, me and the girlfriend Diddy, you know, probably like
- 40:52Speaker 1: six times last night you're like, besides what piking back
- 41:02Speaker 1: on that, like is he gonna fall off? Like what
- 41:06Speaker 1: is going on right now? Also that poor girl, like
- 41:11Speaker 1: what in the world? Yeah, yeah, we should probably you know,
- 41:15Speaker 1: this is a kid show. This is this is where
- 41:19Speaker 1: we at like, we gotta keep it under it. Now.
- 41:20Speaker 1: We have fifteen we haven't got into our death. So
- 41:24Speaker 1: we have fifteen minutes. We're ten ten, we're ten minutes.
- 41:28Speaker 1: Baylor Auburn weekend. By the time this comes out and
- 41:30Speaker 1: drops on Wednesday, it will be college football seasons upon
- 41:33Speaker 1: US Nebraska for Sincey tomorrow and Arrowhead Thursday night. Kicking
- 41:36Speaker 1: it off. You got Baylor Auburn over the weekend. Yeah, Wife,
- 41:39Speaker 1: He comes off the pup list over the weekend at
- 41:41Speaker 1: that game that night, that day, Good Wife is activated
- 41:45Speaker 1: very first drone show ever in Baylor history. That night,
- 41:48Speaker 1: Good first time. Scarlet's gonna be out fifty thousand, sixty
- 41:51Speaker 1: thousand loud good. Good, build up her immune system. Good. Good.
- 41:57Speaker 1: She's gonna cry, and probably you're gonna to think about
- 41:59Speaker 1: leaving the game. Good thought about that. Check the stadium website.
- 42:03Speaker 2: Made sure there's a little mom and baby room that
- 42:05Speaker 2: mama could go in there and pat her butts so
- 42:07Speaker 2: we don't have to leave too early.
- 42:09Speaker 1: Good. Mama's gonna be pissed off thinking we need to
- 42:11Speaker 1: leave right now. But he wants to say this goddamn game.
- 42:13Speaker 1: She's gonna be mad at you. Good? Is that his
- 42:16Speaker 1: eighteenth beer? What the hell are we doing? I thought
- 42:19Speaker 1: you would grow up eventually. Good. I'm not gonna do that, sweetheart.
- 42:26Speaker 1: I'm not gonna do that. I am fired up for
- 42:30Speaker 1: scarlett first game, first experience with her. I am so.
- 42:34Speaker 2: Juiced and I've truly had to fight myself for every
- 42:37Speaker 2: single crack of cold one could be looking forward to
- 42:40Speaker 2: that game, Like I feel like I've brought in that
- 42:42Speaker 2: game up way too much on the show, and so
- 42:44Speaker 2: I'm just trying to chill on it. But oh my god,
- 42:47Speaker 2: I was talking to my dad. I'm just like so excited.
- 42:50Speaker 2: I was talking to her on the phone this morning,
- 42:52Speaker 2: like I'm just geeking out for It's gonna be so fun.
- 42:56Speaker 2: Her outfit came in the mail. I'll picture of her
- 43:00Speaker 2: out there right there.
- 43:01Speaker 1: That's a crack of cald One too, is just the
- 43:05Speaker 1: father son dynamic when son is now dad and you
- 43:08Speaker 1: guys are just having conversations about their grandkid.
- 43:11Speaker 2: And I love it too because it doesn't feel like
- 43:13Speaker 2: a whole lot of I told you so. And you
- 43:15Speaker 2: probably feel the same way with your dad, of like
- 43:19Speaker 2: there's not much like micro managing because he never had
- 43:23Speaker 2: a girl and you were all boys.
- 43:25Speaker 1: Too, right, Yeah, and my dad tried pulling the whole
- 43:28Speaker 1: you dropped you off in school that you ain't dropped
- 43:29Speaker 1: me off of shit, Yeah, he dropped me off at
- 43:32Speaker 1: school on day one. We had a nice we shared
- 43:33Speaker 1: a nice laugh, a nice belly laugh. Yeah. But yeah,
- 43:36Speaker 1: there's not a lot. I told you. It's just them, Like,
- 43:38Speaker 1: you know, when's an opportunity where I can come see
- 43:39Speaker 1: the little one exactly. Like my dad just loves hearing scarlets. Yeah,
- 43:44Speaker 1: because he never had a girl. And so just like
- 43:46Speaker 1: all the little bud Oh oh the bows came in?
- 43:50Speaker 1: How many does yeah? Oh yeah, twelve pack? Dad. Oh,
- 43:54Speaker 1: we gotta get more bows than that. Yeah, you know,
- 43:56Speaker 1: he's juiced. They just and being a grandparent too, just
- 44:00Speaker 1: get to spoil them. And again yeah, like I was
- 44:02Speaker 1: one of three boys, so there was no girl, and
- 44:05Speaker 1: so my dad like you know, seeing ru and talking
- 44:07Speaker 1: about how big they're looking out. I need videos, look
- 44:09Speaker 1: at much of look at her calves. She's gonna be
- 44:11Speaker 1: an athlete, all those types of things. But that's a
- 44:14Speaker 1: great kracker Cole. When is the the father son mom
- 44:19Speaker 1: daughter father daughter mom's son dynamic when they have when
- 44:23Speaker 1: they're talking about the grandkids, that's a good kracker cales one.
- 44:25Speaker 2: Yeah, dude, And just looking forward to oh my gosh,
- 44:29Speaker 2: the animal face paint, Like I want to find all
- 44:32Speaker 2: those things at UH in Waco on Friday, like all
- 44:36Speaker 2: the little kid activities.
- 44:38Speaker 1: Knowing like there's been a couple of face paint opportunities
- 44:41Speaker 1: for Rue, but she's sketched out by the fate. I
- 44:44Speaker 1: can't get her talked into it yet. Bro, have you
- 44:47Speaker 1: done it yourself? Have not yet? That's what it's gonna
- 44:49Speaker 1: come down to. Get a dude, get a wolf. Oh yeah,
- 44:53Speaker 1: paint the entire face, yes, because you're right, that's what
- 44:57Speaker 1: it's gonna take. Look at that at I'll tell you
- 45:03Speaker 1: transitioning into a dad loss. And this is where I
- 45:06Speaker 1: can lean on the parents out there that have kiddos
- 45:09Speaker 1: in school, especially in that toddler face. We're in week
- 45:12Speaker 1: two of school with Rude right now, and she's she's
- 45:14Speaker 1: crushing it. It's been all time, but the mornings before school.
- 45:19Speaker 1: I would categorize in just the dad loss because I
- 45:22Speaker 1: would love some dad hacks from the audience out there,
- 45:25Speaker 1: the parents that are well versed in how to get
- 45:27Speaker 1: a good routine going. Because Ruby and three, it's like
- 45:31Speaker 1: the toddler they they they want their own independence and freedom.
- 45:35Speaker 1: It's like all day long, Hey, put on your shoes,
- 45:37Speaker 1: brush your teeth. We gotta brush your hair, wear this outfit,
- 45:40Speaker 1: try and talk them into that outfit. Go do this,
- 45:42Speaker 1: go do that. They just get told kind of what
- 45:45Speaker 1: to what to do, so they're big at saying no
- 45:47Speaker 1: a lot. Yeah. And Rue's got a little you know
- 45:49Speaker 1: she can you sit there and you gotta go with her.
- 45:52Speaker 1: She'll get the hands on the hips. Oh oh, she'll
- 45:54Speaker 1: get the hands on the hips talking to you. Oh yeah.
- 45:57Speaker 1: You gotta be careful laughing too. You know, you gotta
- 46:00Speaker 1: be terrible, like holding in the laughter because like you
- 46:02Speaker 1: ain't listening to me right now. Uh huh. Yeah. And
- 46:06Speaker 1: the morning routine before school, it's like you're just you're
- 46:09Speaker 1: you're liking a constant rush, uh huh, Like sweetheart, I will,
- 46:13Speaker 1: I want to play with the ball. I want to
- 46:14Speaker 1: play ball with you. I want I want to get
- 46:16Speaker 1: you to try to dribble the ball six times. I got.
- 46:19Speaker 1: I'm making you breakfast. I'm trying to make your lunch
- 46:21Speaker 1: right now. Mama's messing with Scotti. Like we're trying to
- 46:23Speaker 1: get you going. We only got so much time before
- 46:25Speaker 1: we got to get your shoes on. We gotta get
- 46:26Speaker 1: you to school. And it's just like a constant I
- 46:29Speaker 1: need you to eat your breakfast. Sweet, you gotta eat
- 46:31Speaker 1: your breakfast. I don't like chicken sausage anymore. Well, guess what,
- 46:35Speaker 1: Since I know that now that you don't like chicken
- 46:37Speaker 1: sausage all of a sudden you used to love it.
- 46:39Speaker 1: Once you eat this chicken sausage, I won't ever make
- 46:41Speaker 1: it again for you, and then you'll go hungry. Sye,
- 46:44Speaker 1: how you like that? Yeah, we'll get you yogurt tomorrow.
- 46:48Speaker 1: You've had yogurt three days this week already. I don't
- 46:51Speaker 1: like it. Oh my god. Bro.
- 46:55Speaker 2: The one thing that Reud does that I love is
- 46:58Speaker 2: when she adjusts her she uses the back of her hand.
- 47:02Speaker 1: Yeah, I've never seen that before and I love it constantly.
- 47:06Speaker 1: But hey, she and she's kind of like me in
- 47:10Speaker 1: a way to wheres It's like, uh again, he's a
- 47:14Speaker 1: little bitch made story. But I'm not like like, I
- 47:17Speaker 1: don't like getting my hands too like in the mix
- 47:20Speaker 1: of like dirtiness. Oh like, I like keep my like
- 47:23Speaker 1: if I want, like the when I take a bite,
- 47:25Speaker 1: I need my hands clean. I need them wiped off.
- 47:27Speaker 1: I can't just continue to go. I always want to
- 47:29Speaker 1: wipe my face. I always want to keep everything off,
- 47:31Speaker 1: like my face and everything else makes sense. And Rue's
- 47:33Speaker 1: very much like particular like that always needs a napkin,
- 47:36Speaker 1: Need a napkin. Okay, God damn, I'll get you a napkin.
- 47:40Speaker 1: It's not that bad. It's just right here. Just wipe
- 47:42Speaker 1: it off or use your shirt or your pants, so
- 47:44Speaker 1: Daddy used to do for decades. But yeah, it's so
- 47:50Speaker 1: funny when she's like always eds her hair out of
- 47:52Speaker 1: her face the back like playing football, Like like if
- 47:57Speaker 1: I could, in between every play, I would take my
- 47:59Speaker 1: helmet off and just wipe my face. Oh really, Like
- 48:03Speaker 1: it's like anytime I feel something like sweat or anything
- 48:05Speaker 1: coming down my face, I just want it to be
- 48:06Speaker 1: like dry. I come off on the side. I'm always
- 48:09Speaker 1: like taking my helmet off all the time. Yeah, as
- 48:12Speaker 1: much as possible to like wipe my face off. And
- 48:14Speaker 1: I feel like Ruke has it because she's like that
- 48:16Speaker 1: with the helmet on buckling for the scooter. It's got
- 48:18Speaker 1: to be done a certain way. She's got to have
- 48:19Speaker 1: the hair out of the face.
- 48:20Speaker 2: I hated long hair in sports, and obviously I didn't
- 48:25Speaker 2: make it past a high school level. But like, just
- 48:26Speaker 2: like high school sports, I had to have a short haircut,
- 48:30Speaker 2: any type of even if it's hair right there.
- 48:32Speaker 1: I just drove me crazy. Yeah I could not. Yeah
- 48:35Speaker 1: yeah yeah. But the morning routine, yeah, godda dial in
- 48:39Speaker 1: the morning routine. If parents got any tips or hacks
- 48:42Speaker 1: out there, dude, this is more just like she's like,
- 48:45Speaker 1: I want to sit on the couch and no, you
- 48:46Speaker 1: can't sit on the couch. Or what was it this morning?
- 48:50Speaker 1: It's like I was making that was the ball situation
- 48:52Speaker 1: this morning and I'm like, sweetheart, you gotta eat your breakfast.
- 48:55Speaker 1: I need you to eat your breakfast. And she was like,
- 48:58Speaker 1: you know, she's I'm bouncing the ball. I'm juggling the ball.
- 49:02Speaker 1: I'm doing it three times. Okay, sweetheart, breakfast ain't even
- 49:06Speaker 1: ready yet. Good first off, good boy? Yeah yeah yeah,
- 49:09Speaker 1: I got you play for a little bit. But when this,
- 49:12Speaker 1: when it's ready, I need you to eat this. And
- 49:15Speaker 1: then it was Mom was making her a case of
- 49:17Speaker 1: DIA chicken cheese, case of dea for lunch. And then
- 49:22Speaker 1: she gets up and she's like, you know, does the
- 49:23Speaker 1: whole I don't like chicken sauce thing. And she's like
- 49:25Speaker 1: I want a case of d and we're like that's
- 49:26Speaker 1: for lunch. I want a case that's for lunch, sweetheart,
- 49:29Speaker 1: you can't. The case of da is for lunch. You do.
- 49:31Speaker 1: The chicken sauce is now, But now that I know
- 49:33Speaker 1: you don't like it, I won't make it for you
- 49:35Speaker 1: ever again. You used to love it. You loved it
- 49:36Speaker 1: as of right now. And then when she gets a
- 49:40Speaker 1: case of dia, she takes a bite and she gets
- 49:42Speaker 1: off the things. She's like, I'm gonna go get the ball,
- 49:44Speaker 1: like I need I need to cool off. She said,
- 49:47Speaker 1: I need to cool Yeah, I need to cool off.
- 49:49Speaker 1: I'm gonna go get the ball. And I'm like, all right,
- 49:51Speaker 1: you get the ball. She's like, the ball's got to
- 49:53Speaker 1: eat with me. I'm like, all right, go get the
- 49:56Speaker 1: ball and come back up here. No, I'm the ball.
- 49:58Speaker 1: I want the ball to sit with me on the guy.
- 49:59Speaker 1: So I'm like, you're not going go on to the couch.
- 50:00Speaker 1: You're you're eating your breakfast. She's she looks at me,
- 50:03Speaker 1: and I start like walking. She's like walking towards the couch.
- 50:05Speaker 1: I start walking toward the couch. She starts running toward
- 50:07Speaker 1: the couch. I start running toward them, like you're not
- 50:09Speaker 1: sitting on the couch. She gets on the couch and
- 50:12Speaker 1: I grab her. She starts losing and starts throwing a
- 50:14Speaker 1: tantrum because she wants to sit on the couch the
- 50:16Speaker 1: ball and it's like, you gotta eat your breakst cause
- 50:18Speaker 1: we're gonna have to go here within fifteen minutes.
- 50:20Speaker 2: Is there still chicken sausage on the chicken sauage're not
- 50:23Speaker 2: on the stove, it's on her plate.
- 50:25Speaker 1: It's ready to go. Ok And she's having a taser.
- 50:27Speaker 1: So I got a I'm thinking to myself, Okay, good,
- 50:29Speaker 1: good good. We're in it right now. We're in it
- 50:31Speaker 1: right now. How do I de escalate this situation? Because
- 50:33Speaker 1: I just raced her to the couch and I just
- 50:35Speaker 1: grabbed her off the couch, So I got it right here.
- 50:37Speaker 1: I take her into the back closet, like go through
- 50:39Speaker 1: my room, go through the bathroom, and go back in
- 50:40Speaker 1: the clauset, just to remove her from the environment. It's like,
- 50:43Speaker 1: I just need we gotta talk about this, sweetheart. I
- 50:46Speaker 1: know you want your freedoms. I know Dad and mom
- 50:48Speaker 1: gonna tell you what to do all the time. I
- 50:50Speaker 1: know you're independent. I love that. I love that about you,
- 50:54Speaker 1: And that says She's like coming down from crying, and
- 50:55Speaker 1: she's like, you know, just constantly like white perrs here
- 50:57Speaker 1: she needs every speck of tear off of her face.
- 51:00Speaker 1: But she's listening and like, but with you going to school,
- 51:04Speaker 1: we just we need you to teach. I don't mind
- 51:06Speaker 1: if you play, play your little ass off, but the
- 51:09Speaker 1: moment breakfast is ready and good to go, we gotta
- 51:11Speaker 1: eat breakfast. Got oh. We try to switch it up
- 51:13Speaker 1: all the time between Eggy's chicken sausage and yogurt because
- 51:16Speaker 1: you gotta get your protein. Sweetheart, it's important. And whenever
- 51:20Speaker 1: we tell you that it's time to eat breakfast, I
- 51:22Speaker 1: just I need you. That's when you got to listen
- 51:24Speaker 1: to mom and dad. Dad. You can eat as fast
- 51:25Speaker 1: as you want eat it. Eat as fast as you can.
- 51:27Speaker 1: They can go back to playing. But whenever it's time
- 51:30Speaker 1: to go, and we got to get your shoes on,
- 51:31Speaker 1: we got to get you out the door. That's when
- 51:33Speaker 1: I need you to listen to us. Do you understand? Okay,
- 51:37Speaker 1: go back in set her on this on the thing
- 51:39Speaker 1: we accomplish. We're eating the chicken sausage, were eating the
- 51:43Speaker 1: chicken sauce.
- 51:43Speaker 2: That's a great note of you can make it as
- 51:45Speaker 2: fast as you want, you control, Like if you feel
- 51:49Speaker 2: out of control, you don't want to eat, you can
- 51:51Speaker 2: control your meal.
- 51:52Speaker 1: Time right once you're in it, right right, Because she's like,
- 51:55Speaker 1: I don't want to tell me you could eat five
- 51:57Speaker 1: bites by now the time you've been sitting here and
- 51:59Speaker 1: saying whatever the hell, she's saying, yeah, but we got it.
- 52:02Speaker 1: You need that to help you out. I'll uh, I'll
- 52:05Speaker 1: stick it for you. And for the dad's been gone,
- 52:09Speaker 1: just fell down. Oh sorry, we'll get the one shelf
- 52:12Speaker 1: going and we'll.
- 52:13Speaker 2: Get Willie one shelf going. You know what, but if
- 52:15Speaker 2: there's if there's TSD by the way of I thought
- 52:19Speaker 2: you were talking about something like recording, like the mics
- 52:21Speaker 2: weren't plugged in, and my heart saying I said it's gone.
- 52:26Speaker 2: Sank I was like, oh, chef just gave us some
- 52:29Speaker 2: two thumbs up. He said we're rolling. As he said that,
- 52:32Speaker 2: I started freaking out. I'm so sorry, but the blood
- 52:36Speaker 2: literally left my face. Keep going about mourning routine and
- 52:40Speaker 2: that that was it.
- 52:41Speaker 1: The dad the dad loss is learning in this it's
- 52:43Speaker 1: it's our first couple of weeks of going to school,
- 52:45Speaker 1: so we got that morning routine of in between like,
- 52:48Speaker 1: you know, waking up, getting her ready to go, getting
- 52:52Speaker 1: her breakfast, everything made. It's just like the communication or
- 52:55Speaker 1: if anybody's got some tips or hacks out there to
- 52:58Speaker 1: kind of set it up. Yeah, it goes better to
- 53:00Speaker 1: where you just get to where you're kind of like
- 53:01Speaker 1: arguing with her. You're like, dude, you gotta do this shit.
- 53:04Speaker 1: I talk about my boy Nick all the time. He's like, dude,
- 53:07Speaker 1: morning routines are a grinder. He actually texted me a
- 53:09Speaker 1: matter of fact that he's like, hey, could be good
- 53:12Speaker 1: if we get a if we FaceTime in the mornings,
- 53:14Speaker 1: they'll let Hudson and Ru see each other and we
- 53:16Speaker 1: can kind of like talk through certain things. Maybe they'll
- 53:18Speaker 1: like keep them in a good movie. Yeah. I thought
- 53:19Speaker 1: that was a great, little, great little nugget taking a
- 53:23Speaker 1: quick break from the episode to bring you and talk
- 53:25Speaker 1: about Wayfair that before I get into Wayfair. There's something
- 53:29Speaker 1: bittersweet about ending the summertime. You're winding down. You had
- 53:31Speaker 1: a great summer, you know, Rue she's in school now,
- 53:35Speaker 1: so it's always a bittersweet ending to summertime. However, I
- 53:38Speaker 1: do love the fall weather. I love getting into a
- 53:40Speaker 1: nice fall routine and a couple of things that we
- 53:43Speaker 1: like to do is consistent family dinners. And when I'm
- 53:45Speaker 1: talking about these things and talking about Wayfair, I want
- 53:48Speaker 1: to talk to you about what my wife loved doing
- 53:50Speaker 1: and picking out. At Wayfair, we have some new lamps
- 53:52Speaker 1: for the kids rooms to get ruin just a different theme.
- 53:55Speaker 1: Get her in the spirit of school shopping. Let's get
- 53:58Speaker 1: you a couple outfits. But hey, let's pick out a
- 53:59Speaker 1: night stew lamp for your bedroom. Also dinner table. Outdoor
- 54:03Speaker 1: furniture Wayfair when I when I tell you, Wayfair has
- 54:07Speaker 1: one of the biggest collections of outdoor furniture in their store.

- 54:12Speaker 1: excited about the upcoming school year. Free and easy delivery,
- 54:16Speaker 1: even on the big stuff. There's no more huge delivery

- 54:25Speaker 1: for free to your house. Get organized, refreshed, and get
- 54:28Speaker 1: back into routine. For way less. Head to Wayfair dot
- 54:31Speaker 1: com right now to shop all things home that's w
- 54:34Speaker 1: A Y F A I R dot Com Wayfair, Every style,
- 54:40Speaker 1: Every home back to this episode.
- 54:43Speaker 2: Dude, shout out your boy Nick because he hooked me
- 54:47Speaker 2: up with a dad hack.
- 54:48Speaker 1: Yeah, yes, would you like to share? Yeah, I would
- 54:51Speaker 1: love to share.
- 54:52Speaker 4: Uh.
- 54:53Speaker 2: Well, And I had a follow up question on the
- 54:55Speaker 2: morning routine though, go ahead, I don't know, Maybe we
- 54:57Speaker 2: do that and then I'll do Nick, what numerically time
- 55:02Speaker 2: wise does your morning look like?
- 55:04Speaker 6: Like?
- 55:04Speaker 1: What time are you waking up? What time like? Can
- 55:06Speaker 1: you break it down on that? So on a like
- 55:09Speaker 1: on an optimal day, I'm waking up at five forty five,
- 55:13Speaker 1: so I can get in the way, or I can
- 55:15Speaker 1: get in the garage at six, and I will use
- 55:17Speaker 1: from six to seven as like my selfish, this is
- 55:20Speaker 1: the time where I will work out in the mornings. Yeah,
- 55:23Speaker 1: sweat it out, do whatever I need to do, whether
- 55:25Speaker 1: it's Zone two and sau Ona, whether it's strength training.
- 55:28Speaker 1: I'll take that six to seven and work out in
- 55:29Speaker 1: the mornings so that way I can come in because
- 55:31Speaker 1: Charles is getting up around six forty five, mark seven.
- 55:34Speaker 1: It kind of depends on what Scotty's going on the monitor,
- 55:36Speaker 1: because I don't want to leave Charo hang into she's
- 55:38Speaker 1: getting the kids up all by herself. I mean she
- 55:41Speaker 1: knocks it in the she'll, she'll, she will rock that method.
- 55:44Speaker 1: But as often as I can when I'm home and
- 55:46Speaker 1: not traveling, it's I'll try and work out between six
- 55:49Speaker 1: and seven so that way I can be I can
- 55:53Speaker 1: go into husband and dad mode from seven until we
- 55:56Speaker 1: probably leave for school now like eight fifteen, eight twenty,
- 56:00Speaker 1: So from seven to that eight fifteen eight to twenty mark,
- 56:03Speaker 1: you know, we're getting Scottie up. One of somebody's getting
- 56:06Speaker 1: Scotty and getting the bottle and stuff going with Scotti.
- 56:09Speaker 1: Other ones going and wake grew up. Kind of depends
- 56:11Speaker 1: on the movers and you might walk in She's like,
- 56:12Speaker 1: I want mamma, but I found a nice little I
- 56:15Speaker 1: find a nice little game in a way to kind
- 56:16Speaker 1: of like mess with her. So that way when I
- 56:19Speaker 1: go in there and I'm getting reu ready, but we're
- 56:21Speaker 1: getting to pull up off so that way she can
- 56:23Speaker 1: so she can change in the underwear. We're going to
- 56:25Speaker 1: the bathroom. Hey, let's pick out an outfit. She loves dresses.
- 56:28Speaker 1: You got to try and talk off a cliff for dresses.
- 56:30Speaker 1: You've worn it three days in a row. Let's figure
- 56:32Speaker 1: out a different method, and she likes for you to
- 56:34Speaker 1: give her a couple options. You'll lay out a couple options,
- 56:37Speaker 1: she'll pick one. But as she's picking, she's playing. She's
- 56:39Speaker 1: like doing all the things. So it's like keeping them,
- 56:42Speaker 1: keeping them on course, getting them ready. I'll go down.
- 56:44Speaker 1: I'm usually the breakfast guy, Like I'm always making breakfast.
- 56:47Speaker 1: It's like eggs and toast and Greek yogurt and rousey
- 56:51Speaker 1: like coconut yogurt. But I'll get all breakfast ready. And
- 56:54Speaker 1: then if it's like if it's we're only two weeks
- 56:56Speaker 1: in with the with the school stuff, but if it's
- 56:58Speaker 1: like a PB and J or something where we have
- 57:00Speaker 1: a leftover, I'll get ruse lunch ready, or like this morning,
- 57:04Speaker 1: Charal was making a case dea. We'll be in the
- 57:06Speaker 1: kitchen getting all that stuff ready while replace Scott he's
- 57:09Speaker 1: on the ground, she's rolling around, she's playing, having a
- 57:11Speaker 1: good time with that tone. And then it, honestly, it
- 57:13Speaker 1: just comes down to executing. Hey, you got to eat
- 57:16Speaker 1: your food. Like we don't have all the time in
- 57:18Speaker 1: the world. It's like eating the food keeping her from
- 57:21Speaker 1: having a tantrum, because she can have a tantrum at
- 57:23Speaker 1: any moment. Because again, it's like they want their independence.
- 57:25Speaker 1: It's freedom as toddlers, they're always being told what to do. Yeahs,
- 57:28Speaker 1: like keeping them on that, getting their shoes on, getting
- 57:31Speaker 1: them out the door. Okay, So that's kind of how
- 57:34Speaker 1: the morning routine is. I love that that.
- 57:37Speaker 2: There's like several things that you've brought up so far
- 57:41Speaker 2: in the show that I've written down. One is I
- 57:43Speaker 2: need to become breakfast guy because I love breakfast, I
- 57:47Speaker 2: really do.
- 57:48Speaker 1: And I've been doing a bad job of.
- 57:50Speaker 2: Like preparing breakfasts in the world. Sometimes do it, and Jill,
- 57:55Speaker 2: if she was here right now, she would go sometimes
- 57:58Speaker 2: like never, I'll be like, babe, I've done it before,
- 58:02Speaker 2: right the weekends, mainly, Jill does a good job of
- 58:05Speaker 2: breakfast when she does it.
- 58:08Speaker 1: Neither one of us have like taken that role though,
- 58:11Speaker 1: but I think I want to take that and own it.
- 58:13Speaker 1: It's like as Scarlet gets older and starts like the
- 58:16Speaker 1: routine becomes a routine, Charle more often than not will
- 58:20Speaker 1: be the one with the outfits and the hair with
- 58:24Speaker 1: Rue because again it's like, uh, I can get rue rolling,
- 58:28Speaker 1: I'm not the hair stuff is, you know. I can
- 58:31Speaker 1: I can get a headband on, I can do a ponytail.
- 58:34Speaker 1: I can't do the braids yet. I can't do like
- 58:37Speaker 1: the fancy ponytails. We we's got these cute little pigtails
- 58:41Speaker 1: in today. But like with Charro doing the kid thing,
- 58:44Speaker 1: it's like I will make Charles breakfast. So Charles breakfast
- 58:47Speaker 1: being like an egg or two and some toast with butter.
- 58:50Speaker 1: Mine's like four eggs and Greek yogurt ruses. It's either
- 58:54Speaker 1: Eggy's yogurt or chicken sausage for a protein, and then
- 59:00Speaker 1: that's usually your breakfast. Then we'll get it ready for lunch.
- 59:02Speaker 1: Throw a little small little cookie in there for a
- 59:04Speaker 1: little treat at school, come on, cookie, maybe some kind
- 59:08Speaker 1: of a variety of options. But that's kind of like
- 59:10Speaker 1: our gig. Okay, it's breakfast. Guy's got it. It's got
- 59:15Speaker 1: its perks. It does. And my my mom did a
- 59:18Speaker 1: great job.
- 59:19Speaker 2: My dad would do like breakfast and stuff, but my
- 59:21Speaker 2: mom cooked a great breakfast and packed crazy lunches. Dude,
- 59:28Speaker 2: I wish I could have. I might need to bring
- 59:30Speaker 2: that up for a future episode.
- 59:31Speaker 1: Just go break down. I need to call her and
- 59:34Speaker 1: ask her, like, what was your lunch, Cadence.
- 59:38Speaker 2: Oh my god, dude, these lunches like my friends, you
- 59:41Speaker 2: know how you're like trading like gummies.
- 59:43Speaker 1: Yeah, that's there's that.
- 59:44Speaker 2: But then my friends were like, yo, do your mom
- 59:47Speaker 2: make that that pesto turkey bacon club again?
- 59:51Speaker 1: Yeah? She did?
- 59:52Speaker 2: Yo, Can I get a bye to that? Like miss
- 59:54Speaker 2: Amy kind of she messes around.
- 59:57Speaker 1: She put her foot in that little sandwich. Yes, dude,
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: she crushed it. I don't think I'll ever live up
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: to that, but it'd be fun to try. Another thing
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: I need to add to the bag now that I'm
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: like talking through this is I need to make Charles
- 1:00:10Speaker 1: Latte ri in the morning. I need to just get
- 1:00:13Speaker 1: her fully set up and prepared. Now that I'm like
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: a little an espresso. Yeah we got a little espresso machine.
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, yeah yeah.
- 1:00:24Speaker 2: Jill hasn't been doing the caffeine as much because she's
- 1:00:26Speaker 2: pumping still right right. But that's something I could do too.
- 1:00:30Speaker 2: But I can definitely implement that. I also wrote down
- 1:00:33Speaker 2: you said at the very top, You're like you may
- 1:00:35Speaker 2: be playing planning a date night with the wifey, and
- 1:00:38Speaker 2: I was like, oh shit, I haven't done one of those.
- 1:00:40Speaker 1: In a minute, I wrote date night with wife It
- 1:00:43Speaker 1: falls to the bag Burnner Bro Like it happens with
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: us us all the time. It's like a few weeks
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: to go by and it's like, hey, we haven't got
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: a breakfast together or we haven't had a date night
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: in a while. Yeah, you need to get like something
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: in the books because it's like that stuff is just
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: it sucks that you have to be intentional about it. Yeah.
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: Like me, I like me being a I love to
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: exercise and work out, and I know if I don't,
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: I'll just get in like it like weighs on me.
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: It like snowballs on me. I'll say I'll work out
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: in the afternoon. I won't work out in the afternoon. Yeah,
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: And even though I got to wake up earlier to
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: do it, It's like this is the most optimal way
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: to go about it because it's time that I can
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: have that is uninterrupted to myself. It's time I'm not
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: sitting in the putting in the middle of the day
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: or late in the morning to where it's taken away
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: from somebody else. It's uh, yeah, those would be the
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: two big keys. Like when you're married with kids, families
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: operating is think about what is your hour where you
- 1:01:39Speaker 1: have to yourself? Yes, because it's important that you have
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: time to yourself because again, if you're not watering that
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: plant at all, that's gonna weigh on you. And if
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: you're gonna be projecting it on your wife, you're gonna
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: be projecting on your kids at work, coming home, all
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: the tired stuff that we all know about. Yeah, and
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: if you if you think about it, it's like, Yo,
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: what time do you have to yourself? And then with marriage,
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: it's like what time are you guys intentionally putting in together?
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: Because the kids stuff takes over. Yeah, it takes over,
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: especially if you let it twenty four to seven and
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: you're all you're it's all thin. Like Charles a grinder,
- 1:02:13Speaker 1: she's a business owner bar the barth Res in Nashville's
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: a She's a worker. She's a working mom, working dad.
- 1:02:21Speaker 1: We got to have our ducks in a row because
- 1:02:23Speaker 1: it's not it's just working, you think to yourself. She's
- 1:02:25Speaker 1: made the comments recently, and I feel it. It's like
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: I feel like I just parent. I feel like I
- 1:02:31Speaker 1: just work and I'm just mom. And I'm like, yes,
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: there are a lot of times I feel like I
- 1:02:35Speaker 1: just work and I'm just dad. You come home, you
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: get to there. You might watch a show or two
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: she's on. In the background. You might be scrolling your
- 1:02:40Speaker 1: phone while the show's on. Then you're like, yeah, let's
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: just go to bed. Or I might go upstairs like
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: I'm gonna get on the game with the boys. She
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: might just sit on the front scroll and then we
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: both just go to bed. Yeah, versus like you know
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: that those moments when it's you're having those nights is
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: where it's like, I'll lay there. I know she's doing it.
- 1:02:59Speaker 1: I know the question will come up and I'm laying there.
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: I'm like, we got to get something in the books?
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: Number one? Am I taking care of myself? If so,
- 1:03:06Speaker 1: it's like all right, if I have that box checked,
- 1:03:08Speaker 1: because if I'm not, it's like, okay, how can I
- 1:03:09Speaker 1: plan out time that's for myself? Will you just have
- 1:03:12Speaker 1: to get your lazy ass up in the morning. Yeah,
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: you have to because that's the only time you're gonna
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: do it. Bro. Yes, so you got to get to
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: bed at a decent hour. I when I'm not goooning
- 1:03:20Speaker 1: with the boys. Yeah, but will you I gotta check
- 1:03:23Speaker 1: that box. And then it's a you know, what do
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: we have on the books? Just with us. Do we
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: have a sitter, do we have childcare? Yeah?
- 1:03:31Speaker 2: Dude, and uh like my dad Hack was evening walks
- 1:03:35Speaker 2: right last episode, yeah with Scarlet. Yep, Jill was having
- 1:03:40Speaker 2: a rough day and she I brought her along for
- 1:03:43Speaker 2: the evening walk and I was like, let's walk together.
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: Because she was talking. She's like, hey, I have postpartum.
- 1:03:50Speaker 2: Body and I just feel like I'm stuck in the
- 1:03:52Speaker 2: house all the time and I just feel lazy and
- 1:03:55Speaker 2: not doing anything. I was like, well, they come on
- 1:03:56Speaker 2: an evening walk because it's fun. And once we're out there,
- 1:03:59Speaker 2: she's talking. I feel like I'm letting everybody down. I'm
- 1:04:02Speaker 2: not talking to my friends enough of my family. Yeah,
- 1:04:05Speaker 2: I'm letting Scarlet down.
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: Blah blah blah. I said same.
- 1:04:10Speaker 2: I feel like I'm letting my coworkers down.
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: I feel like I'm letting you down. I'm letting Scarlet down.
- 1:04:15Speaker 2: But in that moment, I wish that I had been
- 1:04:17Speaker 2: able to say, like, hey, we're not letting each other
- 1:04:21Speaker 2: down right now, and we're not letting Scarlet down right now,
- 1:04:24Speaker 2: and we're doing something that's like outside and active and
- 1:04:28Speaker 2: like just those small little winds, the small little windows
- 1:04:33Speaker 2: where you are like, you're not treating yourself, but like
- 1:04:36Speaker 2: you're being good to yourself.
- 1:04:38Speaker 1: You're doing something that's like fun. We need more of that. Yeah. Yeah,
- 1:04:43Speaker 1: it's like if if I think through it again, it's
- 1:04:47Speaker 1: like the communication. If it doesn't happen, it's snowballs. It's
- 1:04:52Speaker 1: snowballs internally in a way to where waits for a
- 1:04:56Speaker 1: moment of I feel like I'm letting everybody down, and
- 1:04:58Speaker 1: you both feel the same way, and then you're both
- 1:05:00Speaker 1: kind of connecting and coming back because again, everybody's wanting
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: to stay strong for each other until you're not strong anymore.
- 1:05:07Speaker 1: And strength most of the time is just reconnecting and
- 1:05:10Speaker 1: talking through stuff like something that Charlie does a lot
- 1:05:12Speaker 1: that reminds me to do it back, or I'm not
- 1:05:15Speaker 1: thinking about this enough. Is like when Charle just appreciates
- 1:05:18Speaker 1: me for something, or just saying, Yo, this was kick
- 1:05:21Speaker 1: ass when you did this, or hey, I really appreciate
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: you doing X, Y and Z, and I'm like, man,
- 1:05:24Speaker 1: and then I think to myself, I got to do
- 1:05:26Speaker 1: this more for her too, because she is a rock star.
- 1:05:29Speaker 5: Yeah, it's just a little things like that, Little things
- 1:05:32Speaker 5: like that, and in addition to that, hey, This is like,
- 1:05:36Speaker 5: you know how if you like get the the work
- 1:05:40Speaker 5: right on a math problem, but you wouldn't get the
- 1:05:42Speaker 5: answer right like teacher would sometimes give me.
- 1:05:44Speaker 1: You still like a point five.
- 1:05:47Speaker 2: Last night, I randomly when I got home, I was like, hey, honey,
- 1:05:51Speaker 2: I just want to let you know.
- 1:05:53Speaker 1: When I got to.
- 1:05:54Speaker 2: Work yesterday, I was really pissed off for two reasons. One,
- 1:05:57Speaker 2: I remember that I forgot to wash the bottle, which
- 1:06:00Speaker 2: you told me to. I always need to wash the
- 1:06:02Speaker 2: bottle after feeds. And that trash or the diaper pail
- 1:06:08Speaker 2: was so fucking full, and I want you to know
- 1:06:11Speaker 2: that I saw that it was full, and I had
- 1:06:13Speaker 2: every intention to take it out.
- 1:06:15Speaker 1: And I was pissed when I got to the office
- 1:06:17Speaker 1: and was like I forgot, I know, bro.
- 1:06:21Speaker 2: And even though she was upset that, you know, she
- 1:06:24Speaker 2: was kind of going like, oh, I know I saw,
- 1:06:26Speaker 2: I saw, but the fact that I not beat her
- 1:06:30Speaker 2: to the punch, but like it was like, hey, I
- 1:06:32Speaker 2: just want you to know I did mess up there,
- 1:06:35Speaker 2: and I am trying to be intentional about doing a
- 1:06:37Speaker 2: good job.
- 1:06:38Speaker 1: It's still got I got the point five right. At
- 1:06:41Speaker 1: least she knows you have some type of awareness yes,
- 1:06:43Speaker 1: versus her having to say it to you and then
- 1:06:45Speaker 1: you might have some body language. I'm gonna get to it.
- 1:06:48Speaker 1: I know, honey, I've been doing a better job.
- 1:06:50Speaker 6: I have.
- 1:06:51Speaker 1: I don't know about you. It's like when that diaper
- 1:06:52Speaker 1: Paale gets full, I'm like, man, I kind of don't
- 1:06:55Speaker 1: want to take this. Oh I don't. I don't want
- 1:06:56Speaker 1: to take this diaper bag. I want to take this
- 1:06:58Speaker 1: trash out right now. It's like you sit there, you
- 1:07:00Speaker 1: push that ship down even more. Yes, every time, I okay, yeah,
- 1:07:04Speaker 1: we might have I might have one or two more
- 1:07:06Speaker 1: in there, Like I'll open it.
- 1:07:10Speaker 2: I'll go, oh, just wait one second, I'll get that
- 1:07:13Speaker 2: dirty diaper and I'll budge into the hardest ball ever.
- 1:07:16Speaker 1: It just five more dipies. Now we good? Yeah. I
- 1:07:22Speaker 1: feel you on the bottle cleaning too. Sometimes I'll take
- 1:07:25Speaker 1: a lazy route, like once the bottle gets done, it's
- 1:07:28Speaker 1: like I'll put the hot water and I'll put the
- 1:07:29Speaker 1: the the bottle cleaner soap in there, and I just
- 1:07:32Speaker 1: like shake it up and then I dump it out
- 1:07:35Speaker 1: and then kind of rinse it out and everything. And
- 1:07:36Speaker 1: Charles like, well, every now and then, Charles like you
- 1:07:39Speaker 1: gotta take it out so you can clean like the
- 1:07:42Speaker 1: the the nipple part deep in, Yeah, the cap and
- 1:07:44Speaker 1: the nipple because it can get some of the stuff
- 1:07:47Speaker 1: can get crowded in those crevices.
- 1:07:49Speaker 2: Just from a rint perspective, Jill might be excited to
- 1:07:53Speaker 2: see me implement that.
- 1:07:54Speaker 1: Just the rents out.
- 1:07:56Speaker 2: Yeah, just it's like a rint out of put a
- 1:07:58Speaker 2: little stoop in there and then shake it. She'd be like, Oh,
- 1:08:01Speaker 2: that's great if I like detach it everything, That's.
- 1:08:04Speaker 1: What I do. I feel like with like all like
- 1:08:06Speaker 1: my shaker bottles, it's like, you gotta clean it out.
- 1:08:09Speaker 1: I don't want to sit there and put the brush.
- 1:08:10Speaker 1: I'll just sit there, hot water and soap, shake it
- 1:08:12Speaker 1: up because I'm like, I'm good. I'm the only one
- 1:08:13Speaker 1: drinking on this. I do have.
- 1:08:15Speaker 2: That reminded me of a my survival kit. It's an
- 1:08:20Speaker 2: easy survival kit for this week. Dude, do you have
- 1:08:23Speaker 2: a survival kit?
- 1:08:25Speaker 1: Uh? Yeah, I got one.
- 1:08:26Speaker 2: Okay, mine's the doctor So we use the Doctor Brown bottles.
- 1:08:31Speaker 2: Uh what bottles do you use?
- 1:08:33Speaker 1: Just wondering, buddy, Doctor Brown too. It's a great really, Yeah,
- 1:08:39Speaker 1: we got one with dinosaurs on it. Mickey Mouse and
- 1:08:41Speaker 1: Mickey Mouse bottle. Well, we need to up our game
- 1:08:44Speaker 1: on that. But that that's rude. So that's a toler one.
- 1:08:46Speaker 1: But yeah with the scotti, yeah, I don't know. It's
- 1:08:48Speaker 1: got the slashes that says how many is in it? Yeah, true,
- 1:08:51Speaker 1: but it could be doctor Brown's.
- 1:08:52Speaker 2: Doctor Brown uses the uh or we use the Doctor
- 1:08:56Speaker 2: Brown bottles. They have a formula picture and it's like
- 1:09:01Speaker 2: a picture that like your mom or dad would have
- 1:09:03Speaker 2: brought to a picnic for like lemonade. You know, kind
- 1:09:06Speaker 2: of look where it like sits in your fridge, but
- 1:09:08Speaker 2: it has a pumper on top of it. So you
- 1:09:11Speaker 2: put the powder formula in there, You put the water
- 1:09:13Speaker 2: in there, and then you do this pumper thing that
- 1:09:16Speaker 2: spins as it goes up and down and it mixes
- 1:09:20Speaker 2: it all together and it kills all the bubbles. There's
- 1:09:24Speaker 2: like no bubbles. And if you're like a breast milk
- 1:09:29Speaker 2: and formula type of cat, because like there are some
- 1:09:32Speaker 2: out there that like to mix a match or whatever,
- 1:09:34Speaker 2: you can put the breast milk in there and the
- 1:09:38Speaker 2: formula however you measure it out go like that and
- 1:09:40Speaker 2: then it just sits in your fridge because you can
- 1:09:43Speaker 2: close it and then it's good to sit in your
- 1:09:45Speaker 2: fridge for however long.
- 1:09:47Speaker 1: And then when you're making that bottle, dude, you just woo.
- 1:09:52Speaker 2: It got me stoked, Dude, I don't even know why.
- 1:09:55Speaker 2: It was like, not the most exciting survival kit thing,
- 1:09:58Speaker 2: but doesn't have to be.
- 1:10:00Speaker 1: Yeah it doesn't. It's not sexy, but it is such
- 1:10:03Speaker 1: a hack. A four yard run isn't sexy, but it's
- 1:10:08Speaker 1: what you want.
- 1:10:09Speaker 2: And sometimes those four yard runs, like a scatter bow,
- 1:10:12Speaker 2: it can turn into a thirty four yard run.
- 1:10:14Speaker 1: Exactly because of how good it is. Yeah, consistency, consistency.
- 1:10:19Speaker 1: Just keep hitting them in the mouth. Yes, keep pushing
- 1:10:21Speaker 1: the pile. Yes, it's not sexy, but it gets the
- 1:10:25Speaker 1: job done because you got a what you gotta take
- 1:10:28Speaker 1: the hits. You gotta take that. My survival kid, have
- 1:10:33Speaker 1: I shout it out Gracie's Corner. I don't believe so,
- 1:10:37Speaker 1: not to my knowledge. Gracie's corner on Spotify. This kid's
- 1:10:42Speaker 1: is stuck. Great songs. Yeah, it's like kids music, great songs,
- 1:10:47Speaker 1: educational vibe, rhythm. Okay, we'll just change it up a
- 1:10:53Speaker 1: little bit. Gracy's Corner, Gracy's Corner. I know my ABC's
- 1:11:04Speaker 1: a B C d and there's like, it's good, dude,
- 1:11:13Speaker 1: I need some good cat. There's a phonic song. ABC's
- 1:11:17Speaker 1: like one, two three, like counting to fifty. Okay, Gracie's corner.
- 1:11:22Speaker 1: Gracie's corner. I have it pulled up. She's on Spotify
- 1:11:25Speaker 1: and YouTube.
- 1:11:27Speaker 2: Yeah, anybody that's not a Spotify person, maybe you're looking
- 1:11:31Speaker 2: for a free option YouTube as well.
- 1:11:34Speaker 1: Yeah, YouTube's good. You want to have a little dance
- 1:11:36Speaker 1: party at home, Yeah, little dance party. Don't want to
- 1:11:39Speaker 1: like obviously be on YouTube. So screen time's happening. But
- 1:11:42Speaker 1: it's more like, you know, you're getting in the getting
- 1:11:44Speaker 1: into theme of dancing and singing. Apple music too, and
- 1:11:47Speaker 1: Apple Music. It's everywhere. I'm just a Spotify guy. Yeah,
- 1:11:51Speaker 1: she's a stud telling you right now, she's a stud. Okay.
- 1:11:55Speaker 1: There's an elephant song. Can you move like an elephant?
- 1:12:02Speaker 1: Move your body like an elephant? Can you move? I haven't,
- 1:12:09Speaker 1: but I'm going to it is Fezza Friday. We're gonna
- 1:12:11Speaker 1: be vib That guy could choose some of that, you know,
- 1:12:19Speaker 1: the hack turned that.
- 1:12:23Speaker 4: Also, when the Titans are playing Sunday, you can point
- 1:12:25Speaker 4: at cam Ward when he's doing a celebration he's moving
- 1:12:28Speaker 4: like an.
- 1:12:28Speaker 1: Elephants moving like an He's an elephant. He's an elephant. Room.
- 1:12:34Speaker 1: He's not doing it right. That that guy, he's not
- 1:12:38Speaker 1: doing it right, Sweetie. I'll talk to him. Uh.
- 1:12:45Speaker 2: The other thing that I was gonna throw your way,
- 1:12:47Speaker 2: it's called the Happy Song by imagean imagen heap imagen
- 1:12:57Speaker 2: heap imageen heap.
- 1:13:00Speaker 1: I'm a gene or I'm a gene. Could be I'm
- 1:13:02Speaker 1: a gene. I don't know. Something to think about, something
- 1:13:05Speaker 1: to think about. But dude, that one is so good.
- 1:13:11Speaker 2: I can't even remember how it goes, but it literally
- 1:13:16Speaker 2: when when Scarlett is like bawling her eyes out in
- 1:13:18Speaker 2: the car and we put on the Happy Song, shit
- 1:13:23Speaker 2: gets quiet quick and the instrumental is honestly gas like
- 1:13:29Speaker 2: the You know how most of the little kid songs
- 1:13:31Speaker 2: like kind of sound little kiddish, right, the this is
- 1:13:34Speaker 2: like some high level production song.
- 1:13:36Speaker 1: Okay, I'll check it out and do the same with
- 1:13:39Speaker 1: Gracie's Corner and Gracy's Corner like I'll listen to the
- 1:13:44Speaker 1: I'll listen to it just on my own. Drevan Worr
- 1:13:47Speaker 1: just again in like a good spirit because I miss rue.
- 1:13:51Speaker 2: Ping ping the submarine, helicopter to chewt train an airplane,
- 1:14:00Speaker 2: weed down this slide, dude, the Happy Song crushes.
- 1:14:08Speaker 1: I got a uh don't watch the music video? Is
- 1:14:14Speaker 1: that the Happy song? Yeah? Oh that is a bit scary.
- 1:14:20Speaker 1: They did you read there? Sure it's kind of like
- 1:14:22Speaker 1: Chicken Run Meats? Yeah, Chicken run, Chicken Run meats? What's that?
- 1:14:26Speaker 1: Really creepy?
- 1:14:28Speaker 7: Uh?
- 1:14:28Speaker 1: YouTube?
- 1:14:29Speaker 4: I know, that's exactly what came to mind. It's the
- 1:14:31Speaker 4: it's the YouTube of the puppets where things go like
- 1:14:34Speaker 4: really south. Please don't please don't hug me. Yeah, please
- 1:14:38Speaker 4: don't hug me.
- 1:14:38Speaker 1: Yeah, thank you. I need so don't hug me. I'm scared.
- 1:14:43Speaker 1: Don't hug me. I'm scared. Chicken run and don't hug me.
- 1:14:46Speaker 1: I'm scared, all right? Moving on to crack a cold one?
- 1:14:51Speaker 1: Did you do your crack of cold one? I haven't
- 1:14:53Speaker 1: no roof? Smacking the monkey bars? She ripped the monkey bars,
- 1:14:58Speaker 1: apparently for the first time, all by her. No, oh, bro,
- 1:15:02Speaker 1: so do you have a video? Not video, but the
- 1:15:06Speaker 1: school would like you know, they'll send you like updates
- 1:15:08Speaker 1: and stuff. And Rue came home one day and whenever
- 1:15:11Speaker 1: I got home, she was all she was juice bro.
- 1:15:13Speaker 1: It was like I did the monkey bars all Bob
- 1:15:15Speaker 1: and said when we were so fired up because she
- 1:15:16Speaker 1: talks about the monkey bars every day. And then later
- 1:15:20Speaker 1: that night got a message from one of her teachers saying,
- 1:15:23Speaker 1: I had to send this to you both. Rue went
- 1:15:25Speaker 1: across the monkey bars and was so proud. Every single
- 1:15:27Speaker 1: day she's been on the monkey bar, so determined to
- 1:15:29Speaker 1: go all the way across. Today she finally did it.
- 1:15:32Speaker 1: I just love her. It's a photo rude, just like
- 1:15:34Speaker 1: smiling and I respond back this far as me up.
- 1:15:36Speaker 1: She's been talking NonStop about it all day since she
- 1:15:39Speaker 1: got home. Laugh out loud and then listen, that girl
- 1:15:43Speaker 1: is going to be an athlete or something. Her determination
- 1:15:46Speaker 1: is beyond.
- 1:15:49Speaker 2: If y'all know, Willie see, If y'all know Willie see,
- 1:15:55Speaker 2: that might be the number one thing that you've wanted
- 1:15:57Speaker 2: to hear since her birth.
- 1:15:59Speaker 1: Yeah, I see it. I see it. But you just
- 1:16:05Speaker 1: can't like you can't overplay your hand, you know what
- 1:16:08Speaker 1: I mean. I'm not gonna sit there and like, you know,
- 1:16:10Speaker 1: brag all the time to my boys, But I see it.
- 1:16:13Speaker 2: You do not need to go up to pee Wee
- 1:16:14Speaker 2: coach and tell him how good your kid is. Yeah,
- 1:16:16Speaker 2: pee wee, coach needs to come up to you at
- 1:16:18Speaker 2: the end of practice and tell you how good your.
- 1:16:20Speaker 1: Kid is and go beyond let me know and tell
- 1:16:23Speaker 1: me that in front of my friends.
- 1:16:25Speaker 2: Oh please, Hey, I'm so sorry. I can't hardly hear you.
- 1:16:29Speaker 2: I'm gonna have to put you on speaker.
- 1:16:33Speaker 1: You gotta you sure? Have you got everybody at the shop?
- 1:16:35Speaker 1: Can you put me on speaker? All right? I got
- 1:16:38Speaker 1: coach right here. Route is just a freak, a freak athlete.
- 1:16:44Speaker 1: Is that what you said? I got another scooter video too.
- 1:16:49Speaker 1: Let's go where she's she's rocking. She's on the scooter
- 1:16:54Speaker 1: and she's rocking all the way down to where the
- 1:16:56Speaker 1: bars are up here, and she's on she's on one
- 1:16:58Speaker 1: leg and then she's a one leg and she's got
- 1:17:00Speaker 1: her other leg kicked out forward like this, and she's
- 1:17:02Speaker 1: just oh, she said that. I want to show you
- 1:17:05Speaker 1: the stricken. I'm like, all right, I'm like, hold Scottie
- 1:17:07Speaker 1: bouncing scotti and it's hot outside. I'm like, fucking I
- 1:17:09Speaker 1: hope this doesn't take a long and uh, dude, she
- 1:17:13Speaker 1: just starts ripping. She hits the one legger over the bar, again,
- 1:17:16Speaker 1: and then after she takes the leg off the bar,
- 1:17:18Speaker 1: she she holds it out to the side and then
- 1:17:20Speaker 1: and then turns and then she's like watch this one
- 1:17:23Speaker 1: that end. Then she's like going down the hill and
- 1:17:24Speaker 1: she drops really low and then kicks her leg out
- 1:17:28Speaker 1: her She's got this little kickball and she just wants
- 1:17:30Speaker 1: to bounce it as maintime, like dribbles maytime you can.
- 1:17:32Speaker 1: She's up to six and I'm like, we gotta go
- 1:17:35Speaker 1: to bed, like I gotta go upstairs and get Scottie.
- 1:17:38Speaker 1: Mom's yelling downstairs at me and me and Ru's in
- 1:17:40Speaker 1: the bathroom doing it because we got to stay away
- 1:17:42Speaker 1: from Waffle because the waffles. He's the bouncy ball. It's
- 1:17:44Speaker 1: like all hell breaks low and Ruthe just starts screaming
- 1:17:48Speaker 1: at me. I gotta get six times. I know you
- 1:17:52Speaker 1: don't go upstairs and pet Scotti. I gotta I gotta
- 1:17:55Speaker 1: dribble it. Oh, she says, juggle. I try to get
- 1:17:58Speaker 1: her say dribble. I gotta juggle it. And sweetheart, I
- 1:18:02Speaker 1: hear you. I want you to too. You've done it.
- 1:18:04Speaker 1: You've done an amazing job. At some point we gotta stop.
- 1:18:06Speaker 1: Is that how you're talking to you. Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 1:18:11Speaker 1: I'm very like cool, calming, I'm very cool, calm, poised
- 1:18:15Speaker 1: and everything talking to her. But when it gets heated
- 1:18:17Speaker 1: like that, like I start doing my like theatrical voice,
- 1:18:20Speaker 1: like a real and funnish way. Yeah, and like go
- 1:18:24Speaker 1: back to her because she's going at me. She's got
- 1:18:25Speaker 1: the little band going out. I'm like, I got the
- 1:18:27Speaker 1: band too. Bro, you got that. She's gonna be so
- 1:18:32Speaker 1: much fun in high school. Bro, well high school. Yeah,
- 1:18:35Speaker 1: it's a little scary. Oh well, she's gonna be a
- 1:18:37Speaker 1: blast though, I heard. I mean more so like on
- 1:18:41Speaker 1: the uh sports field, like she's listen, I'm I'm hopeful
- 1:18:46Speaker 1: she's fired up. She got her little soccer jersey on
- 1:18:49Speaker 1: starts soccer next week.
- 1:18:50Speaker 2: That's what I was imagining in my head as a RAF,
- 1:18:52Speaker 2: just pulling a yellow card on Rue and just Bu's
- 1:18:55Speaker 2: gonna be that player that hands are gonna hit the
- 1:18:57Speaker 2: hips and be like yellow card?
- 1:18:59Speaker 1: Are you? Coach? Is gonna be like Brue, get over,
- 1:19:03Speaker 1: you want to see it? He goes to dad moment.
- 1:19:07Speaker 1: Everybody watching that home, This is dad moment. We're talking
- 1:19:09Speaker 1: about the video. Now. I want to show the video
- 1:19:11Speaker 1: because I'm a dad, and I'm proud and I want
- 1:19:13Speaker 1: to show the video. Yes, you see her, I see her? Bro,
- 1:19:24Speaker 1: she bro, she's cruising. She's cruising.
- 1:19:33Speaker 7: Is that her?
- 1:19:34Speaker 1: No, that's me because I didn't know what she was
- 1:19:36Speaker 1: gonna do. I think she's gonna show me the usual
- 1:19:38Speaker 1: stuff that she does. I always love to watch it
- 1:19:41Speaker 1: because she like rips around on the scooter. Once she
- 1:19:43Speaker 1: hit that, I just couldn't help it. Bro, we gotta
- 1:19:45Speaker 1: get will scooter. You gotta be out there scooter and
- 1:19:48Speaker 1: with her. Yeah, that would be fun. We got to
- 1:19:50Speaker 1: get her on the two wheels because right now it's
- 1:19:54Speaker 1: a three wheel scooter. Oh dude, she.
- 1:19:55Speaker 2: It's gonna take her forty minutes tops to get the
- 1:20:00Speaker 2: two wheel scooter down if she's already doing that on
- 1:20:03Speaker 2: a wheel.
- 1:20:05Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:20:05Speaker 2: Also, crack a cold one brought to us this week
- 1:20:08Speaker 2: by Liquid IV. So if you want to crack open
- 1:20:11Speaker 2: one of those hydrating Liquid IV pouches, it's as simple
- 1:20:14Speaker 2: as just pouring it into the water and boom, Baby,
- 1:20:16Speaker 2: I'm gonna mix that up.
- 1:20:17Speaker 1: It's gonna be good. Flawless. Thank you, flawless execution right there,
- 1:20:23Speaker 1: because that's why I was starting to go over and grab.
- 1:20:24Speaker 1: I'm like, dude, do we have a well, we don't. Well,
- 1:20:27Speaker 1: I knew we were doing a crack of Cold one
- 1:20:29Speaker 1: and I knew was liquid IV and you just thank
- 1:20:32Speaker 1: you did great work. Hey, I'm getting I'm trying to
- 1:20:35Speaker 1: get better.
- 1:20:35Speaker 2: A good note on the comments too, of like, sure,
- 1:20:39Speaker 2: you gotta have one ready to go when I read
- 1:20:41Speaker 2: you go. That's how this podcast thing works, truly, my
- 1:20:47Speaker 2: crack a Cold one. Speaking of being ready, uh, we're
- 1:20:51Speaker 2: looking at pictures of Scarlett's birth week. We're just laying
- 1:20:54Speaker 2: in bed, Jill and I next to each other. There
- 1:20:57Speaker 2: were some tears shared between Jill and my self of
- 1:21:00Speaker 2: just looking at pictures of Scarlett's first week of life
- 1:21:05Speaker 2: and she's what only I mean, she's about to be
- 1:21:07Speaker 2: two months old?
- 1:21:08Speaker 1: Right, but we're close to the we're by the time
- 1:21:11Speaker 1: people are listening to this, it will be two months
- 1:21:13Speaker 1: by the time, right, it will be two months people
- 1:21:15Speaker 1: listening that eight week mark. Yeah, coming off the pupp List,
- 1:21:18Speaker 1: two months old. The photo is gonna be dropping. I
- 1:21:21Speaker 1: know it's gonna be hot. It's crazy. Reminder for the

- 1:21:31Speaker 2: And I know we say this about every single thing
- 1:21:34Speaker 2: that we recorded Busting at the Boys, but this has
- 1:21:36Speaker 2: felt like it's been a good episode thus far.
- 1:21:39Speaker 1: I think doing this podcast is a ton of fun.
- 1:21:44Speaker 1: It is. It really is love talking shop with you.
- 1:21:48Speaker 1: I think you're a stud. I know you're a stud.
- 1:21:52Speaker 1: And the again the communal factor.
- 1:21:54Speaker 5: Bro.
- 1:21:55Speaker 1: We had a gal that DMed us both on Instagram
- 1:22:00Speaker 1: that was sharing a lot of stuff that was crazy,
- 1:22:02Speaker 1: crazy kind, crazy kind. It's just it's a different feel,
- 1:22:07Speaker 1: you know what I mean. Like it's like you get
- 1:22:10Speaker 1: longer feedback of people opening up to you. It's like
- 1:22:15Speaker 1: a dad hit me up in the DMS and I'm
- 1:22:17Speaker 1: gonna butcher the entire message. But he was ultimately expressing
- 1:22:21Speaker 1: to me, like you can tell he's he's like reflecting
- 1:22:27Speaker 1: on how hard he is with certain the lesson of
- 1:22:29Speaker 1: punishments last week, and how he gets like that because
- 1:22:32Speaker 1: of how he was raised by his dad and mom
- 1:22:35Speaker 1: being type A and just struggling with that and appreciating
- 1:22:39Speaker 1: the podcast and being proud of PT six. But it's
- 1:22:43Speaker 1: just like stuff like that fucking rocks, bro It rocks.
- 1:22:48Speaker 2: It's cool that like people are opening up to us
- 1:22:51Speaker 2: and feeling like it's a safe space to be, Like, hey,
- 1:22:54Speaker 2: Will and Sherman share enough about their personal stuff that
- 1:22:56Speaker 2: I feel comfortable with sharing my personal right with them,
- 1:23:02Speaker 2: and it is cool to be like trusted with that.
- 1:23:04Speaker 2: Like that message that that girl wrote to us, it
- 1:23:07Speaker 2: was quite literally two paragraphs and I sat there read
- 1:23:10Speaker 2: the whole thing, and by the end of it, I
- 1:23:12Speaker 2: was like, we are so lucky, dude, which we texted
- 1:23:15Speaker 2: each other a lot our first like two weeks when
- 1:23:18Speaker 2: we started this of like, bro, we're pretty lucky that
- 1:23:22Speaker 2: like everybody's being so nice and stuff and we get
- 1:23:24Speaker 2: to do this. Yeah, but now even more so looking
- 1:23:27Speaker 2: at it, I'm like, we are so lucky, dude, that
- 1:23:30Speaker 2: like we're getting to share this space with people that
- 1:23:36Speaker 2: equally want to like share their thoughts and feelings because
- 1:23:41Speaker 2: people are just passionate about parenthood.
- 1:23:45Speaker 1: Everybody cares, man, And it's like we said it in
- 1:23:48Speaker 1: like the first episode, and I know we hit on
- 1:23:50Speaker 1: it every now and then throughout our episodes, but we're
- 1:23:55Speaker 1: all like a few degrees away from each other on
- 1:23:58Speaker 1: how we think and feel and go about all this stuff.
- 1:24:01Speaker 1: We all want to be more intentional, and sometimes you
- 1:24:04Speaker 1: get caught up in just the bubble of your own
- 1:24:06Speaker 1: world when you hear other voices talk about certain things,
- 1:24:09Speaker 1: whether it be on the show or the radio, on TV,
- 1:24:13Speaker 1: whatever it is, and you're just like, I go through
- 1:24:15Speaker 1: that same shit too, Yeah, and maybe I am a
- 1:24:18Speaker 1: little too much in it right now. So I'm hearing
- 1:24:21Speaker 1: another experience and this helps Me's That's how I've always
- 1:24:26Speaker 1: been with my consumption of podcasts and success and growth
- 1:24:31Speaker 1: in fatherhood. Everything that I'm interested in, I hear somebody
- 1:24:35Speaker 1: else talk about it in a way where I'm like,
- 1:24:37Speaker 1: he just broke that down. That's exactly how I feel.
- 1:24:40Speaker 2: I wish that you could see Jill and I at
- 1:24:43Speaker 2: the house of like having conversations from conversations that we
- 1:24:48Speaker 2: have right here, or Jill watches the episodes and she'll,
- 1:24:52Speaker 2: you know, we'll just start breaking it down right there.
- 1:24:54Speaker 2: Like I feel like I'm a listener of the pod
- 1:24:57Speaker 2: because I'm so new to fatherhood. Yeah, that there are
- 1:25:00Speaker 2: these little nuggets and stuff that and it's funny, dude,
- 1:25:04Speaker 2: It's like the stuff that you were talking about. I
- 1:25:05Speaker 2: know I said this last week, but the stuff you
- 1:25:07Speaker 2: were talking about in those first four episodes before we
- 1:25:10Speaker 2: had Scarlett, and now I'm like, I'm thinking back to
- 1:25:13Speaker 2: those things. I'm like, damn, he really was right, Like
- 1:25:16Speaker 2: Will is putting game out there and it's fun. Now
- 1:25:19Speaker 2: I was texting your boy Nick. I got Nick's number,
- 1:25:22Speaker 2: by the way, that's a whole other story. I love
- 1:25:25Speaker 2: it that we're texting, but I'm texting Nick. I was like, dude, honestly, like,
- 1:25:31Speaker 2: there's a ton that Oh God, I lost my train
- 1:25:35Speaker 2: of thought.
- 1:25:35Speaker 1: I was talking about what I'm new to fatherhood, fatherhood
- 1:25:40Speaker 1: game the first four episodes.
- 1:25:42Speaker 2: Now I'm beginning to transition to where I actually feel
- 1:25:45Speaker 2: like I can give game if that makes sense, because
- 1:25:50Speaker 2: you're you're in it right now, and really the game
- 1:25:53Speaker 2: is just talking about your own experience.
- 1:25:55Speaker 1: That's all it is. All the shit that's like, is
- 1:25:58Speaker 1: game is horror twenty four to seven? Yeah, it's constantly
- 1:26:02Speaker 1: like good isn't going off in my head all the time? Yeah?
- 1:26:05Speaker 1: It goes off in my head more now, especially when
- 1:26:07Speaker 1: your wife is like, hey, you got a brain. You
- 1:26:09Speaker 1: talk about embracing botherhood. I want you to hang a
- 1:26:11Speaker 1: shelf and you're not saying good and said you're kind
- 1:26:13Speaker 1: of fighting me on it now. Everybody's in the comment though, really,
- 1:26:15Speaker 1: but it's like a weird accountability factor two of of
- 1:26:22Speaker 1: just like, uh fuck, I don't know where I'm going
- 1:26:27Speaker 1: right now. I feel very but do you know what
- 1:26:29Speaker 1: I'm saying?
- 1:26:29Speaker 2: Yes, I feel very like challenged and not accountable from
- 1:26:34Speaker 2: the fact that I'm doing it. There will be moments
- 1:26:36Speaker 2: where I'm sitting there and I'm like, bro, just burper
- 1:26:39Speaker 2: for fifteen minutes. Don't burper for five minutes. She's gonna
- 1:26:43Speaker 2: spit up if you do it for five minutes. You're
- 1:26:45Speaker 2: doing a podcast about fatherhood, Like the least.
- 1:26:48Speaker 1: You can do. Yeah, is even when you pop on
- 1:26:51Speaker 1: social media and you see people sharing and having their
- 1:26:53Speaker 1: own little good stories or their own hacks or whatever
- 1:26:56Speaker 1: it is, and I just see that one word of
- 1:26:59Speaker 1: like they share so we're in there say this is
- 1:27:01Speaker 1: happening good and I'm just like, it's like, that's a
- 1:27:03Speaker 1: reminder that's game to me. Yeah, you know what I mean.
- 1:27:06Speaker 1: It's not like coming from a position of this is
- 1:27:08Speaker 1: the right game. This is something we're constantly trying to
- 1:27:13Speaker 1: I'm not mastered. We're never gonna master it. No, But
- 1:27:17Speaker 1: all of the accountability within the community, and I wish
- 1:27:22Speaker 1: I could lay in this plane better. The community doesn't
- 1:27:25Speaker 1: even know they're holding us accountable, but they're great reminders
- 1:27:29Speaker 1: when you pop on and we're building this community and
- 1:27:31Speaker 1: brain is building the way it is to where you
- 1:27:33Speaker 1: just see those reminders and it just it helps you. Yes,
- 1:27:36Speaker 1: it helps you. Where Charle laughs about something of She's like,
- 1:27:40Speaker 1: I was wondering if you were going to tell that
- 1:27:41Speaker 1: story or not, especially the one shelf story. She's like,
- 1:27:44Speaker 1: I was curious if you were going to how that
- 1:27:46Speaker 1: was going to go if you told that story. Knowing
- 1:27:48Speaker 1: that I was so you know, like in the I
- 1:27:51Speaker 1: had such a pissy attitude about it.
- 1:27:53Speaker 2: It's very similar to skydiving, like being a parent of
- 1:27:59Speaker 2: like there's amount of books that you can read about
- 1:28:02Speaker 2: skydiving that is going to get you ready for that
- 1:28:05Speaker 2: moment of when you're out of the airplane and you
- 1:28:08Speaker 2: see the ground and you're like falling, Like there's no
- 1:28:11Speaker 2: like you can't just be like an expert, right, and
- 1:28:15Speaker 2: we are not experts, and we constantly say we're not
- 1:28:17Speaker 2: experts and we aren't. But like if you go skydiving once,
- 1:28:22Speaker 2: you can at least be like, oh yeah, dude, you're
- 1:28:24Speaker 2: gonna be nervous as hell before you jump out of
- 1:28:26Speaker 2: the plane.
- 1:28:26Speaker 1: That's okay, everyone is yeah.
- 1:28:29Speaker 2: And for another dad that like, is so nervous going
- 1:28:32Speaker 2: into it. I E me like hearing that in the
- 1:28:35Speaker 2: comments from the PT sixers, it did a suage.
- 1:28:41Speaker 1: Is that the correct word?
- 1:28:43Speaker 2: It did affect how I felt like. It did help
- 1:28:46Speaker 2: me to be like, oh, okay. Not only is like
- 1:28:49Speaker 2: my boss Will that wants the best for me saying like, dude,
- 1:28:52Speaker 2: you got it. It's okay like being nervous. I mean,
- 1:28:55Speaker 2: do you care blah blah blah. And I'm like, okay, well,
- 1:28:57Speaker 2: we'll just kind of likes me and he's my boss,
- 1:29:00Speaker 2: just saying that. And but then you read in the
- 1:29:03Speaker 2: comments like oh dude, I was sick to my stomach
- 1:29:06Speaker 2: blah blah blah, and like it's totally normal and you're
- 1:29:08Speaker 2: gonna kill it.
- 1:29:09Speaker 1: It's like that's all you need. The PT sixers, We're
- 1:29:13Speaker 1: all in it. I don't you know how we got
- 1:29:14Speaker 1: on that, me neither. But I love the convo. Bro,
- 1:29:17Speaker 1: we were looking at pictures of Scarlett. That was my
- 1:29:19Speaker 1: cracker call Cracker cole One. Brought to you by Liquid
- 1:29:22Speaker 1: Ivy come on hydrating and dude, this bomb pop flavor
- 1:29:26Speaker 1: is nuts. I know you had a U you had
- 1:29:29Speaker 1: your dad hack earlier. I have one from YouTube from
- 1:29:35Speaker 1: the YouTube comments that I was gonna share because my
- 1:29:38Speaker 1: dad Hack was more so asking for dad hacks of
- 1:29:40Speaker 1: you know, or maybe just hearing the struggles and we're
- 1:29:43Speaker 1: not alone on not alone on the morning routine. I'm
- 1:29:46Speaker 1: sure it's chaos ra absolutely everybody but dad Hack. And
- 1:29:51Speaker 1: I love this one. This one's from uh Jonathan Vella
- 1:29:54Speaker 1: forty eight fifty four pt. Six here twenty month, twenty
- 1:29:58Speaker 1: month girl and just found out there's an the other
- 1:30:00Speaker 1: one in the oven. Good good, dad Hack. We had
- 1:30:03Speaker 1: TVs that had the same remote and could work together.
- 1:30:07Speaker 1: That could work Wait wait, wait, dad hack, we had
- 1:30:10Speaker 1: TVs that had the same remote and could work the
- 1:30:13Speaker 1: other TV rock one with batteries, one without. To where
- 1:30:18Speaker 1: your kiddo wants to grab the remote and mess with
- 1:30:21Speaker 1: the TV. You give them a remote, a second remote. Oh,
- 1:30:24Speaker 1: one doesn't have batteries or it's to a different TV. Yeah.
- 1:30:27Speaker 1: Also I would give rue the fireplace remote. She'd end
- 1:30:30Speaker 1: up rocking turning the fireplace on. But they always want
- 1:30:33Speaker 1: to mess with the remote. So I thought that was
- 1:30:35Speaker 1: a great dad hack. Have a second remote out there
- 1:30:38Speaker 1: and with the batteries out.
- 1:30:39Speaker 2: Because they'll know, they'll get old enough to know eventually
- 1:30:41Speaker 2: that it's like, yeay, this isn't a real remote if
- 1:30:45Speaker 2: you give them a.
- 1:30:45Speaker 1: Fake one, and all parents and dads out there is like,
- 1:30:47Speaker 1: oh yeah, that's a no brainer. But again, there's new
- 1:30:50Speaker 1: fathers coming into the equation. There's new fathers joining PT
- 1:30:53Speaker 1: six that are super nerves that probably that makes sense
- 1:30:56Speaker 1: to them, but they're not even thinking about about that.
- 1:30:58Speaker 1: So that's a good, simple day hack to add to
- 1:31:01Speaker 1: your bag, to add to the PT six backpack.
- 1:31:03Speaker 2: It doesn't have to like, you do not have to
- 1:31:05Speaker 2: reinvent the wheel for it to be a good dad hack.
- 1:31:08Speaker 1: To your exact point, say that again, you do not
- 1:31:11Speaker 1: have to reinvent the wheel for it to be a
- 1:31:13Speaker 1: good dad hack.
- 1:31:14Speaker 2: It truly the little my dad hack this week was
- 1:31:18Speaker 2: I found it in my DMS from like three weeks ago,
- 1:31:22Speaker 2: and I just found it and I was like, dude, Jill,
- 1:31:26Speaker 2: and I ran into this last week. I wish I
- 1:31:28Speaker 2: had read this three weeks ago, but it's hey, if
- 1:31:31Speaker 2: Scarlet I saw in the pod Scarlet's been burping up
- 1:31:34Speaker 2: a lot. Try burping her every single ounce during a feed,
- 1:31:40Speaker 2: like stop after she's had an ounce, burp. If you
- 1:31:43Speaker 2: don't get a burp out, it's fine, just put that
- 1:31:45Speaker 2: bottle back in. Second ounce goes down, burb Oh, you
- 1:31:49Speaker 2: got the bubble out that time. Now she's ready for
- 1:31:51Speaker 2: the third ounce. And that's something we're implementing now without
- 1:31:55Speaker 2: that dad hack. But it's like just those little.
- 1:31:57Speaker 1: Things, little things, man, little things. She'll get in into
- 1:32:01Speaker 1: our hot line six and one of the dads. You
- 1:32:03Speaker 1: want to be featured on the show. You want some
- 1:32:04Speaker 1: free merch, you call into her hot line, you leave
- 1:32:07Speaker 1: a voicemail. Chef Captain a Seman Team six, he goes
- 1:32:11Speaker 1: through them and then we will feature. It's like I
- 1:32:13Speaker 1: want to say, last week we did one. We're gonna
- 1:32:15Speaker 1: have about three this week.
- 1:32:18Speaker 2: Hot line hot line additional shout out though, an additional
- 1:32:22Speaker 2: game to put you guys on is we said it before,
- 1:32:25Speaker 2: We said, hey, if you start the call with like, yo,
- 1:32:28Speaker 2: what up, chef, more likely that you'll probably get it played.
- 1:32:31Speaker 1: Now, new guy Derek is on the scene.
- 1:32:34Speaker 4: And we'll be helping with the voicemails now, So any
- 1:32:37Speaker 4: Steelers fans out there.
- 1:32:39Speaker 1: Oh and he's a Steelers fan. He's a Pittsburgh guy.
- 1:32:43Speaker 1: He's a Pittsburgh He's got pirates out on right now. Pirates, Penguins, Steelers,
- 1:32:49Speaker 1: you name them. He's on Riverhounds too. We got it
- 1:32:52Speaker 1: on the mall. Okay, okay, he's deep. He's deep in
- 1:32:54Speaker 1: the Pittsburgh fandom.
- 1:32:56Speaker 2: He's deep in the Lord and he did yeah a
- 1:32:58Speaker 2: little uh do we before we jump into want to
- 1:33:01Speaker 2: let him intro himself like we did with Chef.
- 1:33:03Speaker 1: Absolutely great call. It's part of the fan. Now, Yeah,
- 1:33:07Speaker 1: he's part of the fam. What do you want to know?
- 1:33:10Speaker 1: Just give him your name, where you're from, maybe a
- 1:33:13Speaker 1: little background on how you ended up here, why you
- 1:33:16Speaker 1: love the show, why you love the brand.
- 1:33:19Speaker 3: Derek Whiton from Pittsburgh, moved down here about five years
- 1:33:22Speaker 3: ago to Nashville.
- 1:33:23Speaker 1: Uh.
- 1:33:24Speaker 3: Worked in advertising before, and then I had a couple
- 1:33:27Speaker 3: buddies who are transitioning into dad life that sent me
- 1:33:30Speaker 3: the show. They know I was a big comp thing guy.
- 1:33:32Speaker 3: I was a big bussing guy, and so they sent
- 1:33:33Speaker 3: the show. Became obsessed with it recently got engaged. I'm
- 1:33:36Speaker 3: a funkle, very proud of that. I stole a couple
- 1:33:39Speaker 3: for you for the kids. I'll tell you after that
- 1:33:41Speaker 3: was great, Like a couple clips from the show. Works
- 1:33:43Speaker 3: as an uncle too. What you guys are building was
- 1:33:46Speaker 3: like the coolest thing I've ever stumbled onto. It's something
- 1:33:49Speaker 3: that you don't have to be a dad to enjoy.
- 1:33:51Speaker 3: I got my fiance in it. I got my mom
- 1:33:53Speaker 3: watching it at the beach while we're on vacation. She's
- 1:33:56Speaker 3: asking a lot of questions to describe some of the
- 1:33:58Speaker 3: things you're talking about. It's getting a little awkward on
- 1:34:00Speaker 3: the phone.
- 1:34:00Speaker 1: Cost Marshall so dumping.
- 1:34:05Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, there's a couple of you can fast forward
- 1:34:07Speaker 3: through that part. Yeah, I give her the time stamps.
- 1:34:11Speaker 3: But now, man, I'm as yenser as they come. I
- 1:34:14Speaker 3: was talking to chef recent Voles guy, so I'm introing
- 1:34:16Speaker 3: into the Tennessee lifestyle here. But no, dude, this community
- 1:34:19Speaker 3: is great. Everything you guys are saying is awesome. I
- 1:34:22Speaker 3: have been like I laid out these clothes last night
- 1:34:24Speaker 3: to come in today. I feel like it's day zero
- 1:34:26Speaker 3: of school. I held a little sign that says my
- 1:34:28Speaker 3: name is Derek. First day of school.
- 1:34:30Speaker 1: Geek to be here. Love everything about the show, but
- 1:34:33Speaker 1: there we are. We got to get that picture of
- 1:34:35Speaker 1: And another thing you mentioned that I know could be
- 1:34:39Speaker 1: a hitter is the uncle stuff. Getting some uncle gear.
- 1:34:43Speaker 1: It's been talked about. Taylor's brought it up, a lot
- 1:34:47Speaker 1: of the guys have brought it up. Yeah, but getting
- 1:34:49Speaker 1: some uncle gear as a funkle.
- 1:34:51Speaker 3: The one thing I did is we were sitting there
- 1:34:53Speaker 3: with the my fiance's niece and nephew and the nice
- 1:34:57Speaker 3: was saying something like I want to do this and
- 1:34:59Speaker 3: I I looked at her and I said, how many
- 1:35:01Speaker 3: times do you want to do it? And it was
- 1:35:03Speaker 3: something you would send a previous episode and she goes,
- 1:35:05Speaker 3: one more times good, And I said, all right, let's
- 1:35:07Speaker 3: do it one more time because she was something that
- 1:35:09Speaker 3: was just going. I'm like, we gotta go inside, and
- 1:35:10Speaker 3: she's like, I don't want to, Like you're just Derek.
- 1:35:13Speaker 3: And I was like, well, how many more times would
- 1:35:14Speaker 3: make you happy?
- 1:35:15Speaker 1: She's like just one.
- 1:35:16Speaker 3: I was like, I'll do it with you. It was
- 1:35:18Speaker 3: like throw a ball against the garage or something. But
- 1:35:20Speaker 3: this show works for that. It works for I was
- 1:35:22Speaker 3: talking to you first day dog dads. I have two
- 1:35:26Speaker 3: proud fairy kids at home, their little dog goes the
- 1:35:29Speaker 3: one set.
- 1:35:30Speaker 1: A streaker from two rooms across a hallway.
- 1:35:32Speaker 3: I'm not gonna say if it was her dog or
- 1:35:33Speaker 3: my dog, a complete stinker across the house and we
- 1:35:37Speaker 3: both walked downstairs and I said good, and my wonderful
- 1:35:39Speaker 3: fiance said what is good about that? And I said,
- 1:35:42Speaker 3: just wait, honey, you'll see the show. You understand. Yeah,
- 1:35:44Speaker 3: I cleaned up the Was it a streak? It was
- 1:35:47Speaker 3: too so the reason I knew was her dog is
- 1:35:50Speaker 3: he he'll take a shit, take two steps, drop a shit,
- 1:35:53Speaker 3: take two steps drop.
- 1:35:55Speaker 1: He's as a plopper.
- 1:35:56Speaker 3: There was two formal ships and then a streak like
- 1:35:59Speaker 3: a slug rin through the house, just from the kitchen
- 1:36:01Speaker 3: to a side room.
- 1:36:03Speaker 1: Good, good, God, Well he's seeming good because we got
- 1:36:06Speaker 1: to embrace this ship literally.
- 1:36:09Speaker 2: Literally if that ain't goose by the way, one of
- 1:36:12Speaker 2: my dogs. He's a little you know, wawful.
- 1:36:15Speaker 1: You gotta watch her being in English like she'll ship,
- 1:36:18Speaker 1: but there'll be some poop still sitting on her. Buttole
- 1:36:20Speaker 1: when she comes in the house, because I like, you know,
- 1:36:22Speaker 1: capped off. Nope, waffle, get your ass back outside. Speaking
- 1:36:29Speaker 1: of we are Dad Collins got her Dad Collins and
- 1:36:33Speaker 1: again you have don't be scared to just playing the
- 1:36:36Speaker 1: dad ripping into me for the Willie one show. All right,
- 1:36:40Speaker 1: you the dad's heard that too. If you want to
- 1:36:42Speaker 1: call it, let we'll hear it.
- 1:36:44Speaker 4: More than happy to all open ears to those all right,
- 1:36:48Speaker 4: all right, first calls to Doozy. Okay, boys, fuck we
- 1:36:58Speaker 4: are just it's a fucking Thursday for me.
- 1:37:01Speaker 1: Okay, love the RM.
- 1:37:04Speaker 6: We don't have a nickname for you, so we're gonna
- 1:37:06Speaker 6: call you the fucking General Willy c aka Willie one
- 1:37:09Speaker 6: Shelf Captain Jack.
- 1:37:11Speaker 1: Boys, it's been a fucked up Thursday.
- 1:37:14Speaker 6: Wake up, fucking five am, blue collar, getting the fucking work.
- 1:37:20Speaker 6: Go outside, brand new f one Fi five trimmer, not
- 1:37:25Speaker 6: even fucking two thousand miles on.
- 1:37:26Speaker 1: A jet.
- 1:37:28Speaker 2: For everyone listening at home, quick fun drinking game if
- 1:37:31Speaker 2: you do have a drink in your hand. Every time
- 1:37:33Speaker 2: he says fuck, take a sit, he's in one right
- 1:37:38Speaker 2: right now.
- 1:37:40Speaker 1: Go outside, running a little bit behind you know what.
- 1:37:42Speaker 1: That's fine. I'll get on the freeway, I'll pick up
- 1:37:44Speaker 1: the speed. I'll get there.
- 1:37:46Speaker 6: Get outside, flat tire good fuck me right, okay, so
- 1:37:53Speaker 6: get limp it to the store. Get the air tire
- 1:37:56Speaker 6: holds the air.
- 1:37:57Speaker 1: Good. Get to the shop, plug it, have a patch kit,
- 1:38:02Speaker 1: get it done. Good. Get on the road, trying to
- 1:38:06Speaker 1: get to the job site. Fucking flat again. Good.
- 1:38:11Speaker 6: Get to the job site. Get a fresh pile of
- 1:38:13Speaker 6: shit from the from the GC because we're late.
- 1:38:17Speaker 1: Good.
- 1:38:19Speaker 6: Collecting a fifty two thousand dollars check to get the
- 1:38:21Speaker 6: job done in.
- 1:38:22Speaker 1: Early still good? Good, along with wearing my shirt on the.
- 1:38:28Speaker 6: Site for the fuck fucking Papa Team six. GC asked
- 1:38:32Speaker 6: me where can I get one of these? I told him,
- 1:38:36Speaker 6: here's the link to the podcast GC.
- 1:38:38Speaker 1: We'll see you there. Boys, have a hell of a
- 1:38:41Speaker 1: fucking day. What a legend. Love the energy?
- 1:38:48Speaker 2: GC is a general contractor money to put it?
- 1:38:51Speaker 1: Warning? Warning? Vert uh, what is it? What's what's the word?
- 1:39:00Speaker 1: Explicit language? Explicit language warning? Vulgar warning? What a legend?
- 1:39:07Speaker 1: What a legend? GCSA, Where did you get that shirt?
- 1:39:09Speaker 1: Send a link to the podcast? See you there there.
- 1:39:13Speaker 2: I need to start doing that, especially on like restaurant recommendations.
- 1:39:17Speaker 2: What was that place that you were at? Blah blah
- 1:39:19Speaker 2: o was at Hawker See you there? It's a good one.
- 1:39:24Speaker 2: See there, I'll see you there. Not btw, tv dot com.
- 1:39:27Speaker 2: Here's the link to the podcast.
- 1:39:28Speaker 1: See there, see there, what a legend been there? The
- 1:39:33Speaker 1: tires stuff sucks and it sounds like a new truck. Yeah.
- 1:39:38Speaker 2: I had a double blowout because a piece of rebar
- 1:39:42Speaker 2: was sticking out of the asphalt enough to where like
- 1:39:44Speaker 2: only this much of rebar was showing. So I had
- 1:39:47Speaker 2: no idea what it was when it happened, just driving
- 1:39:50Speaker 2: down the road and and both of them, just my
- 1:39:54Speaker 2: entire car went to one side.
- 1:39:56Speaker 1: You was scary, dude, who's scary? That's tough. Two thousand
- 1:40:00Speaker 1: miles and you got the flat tire. God, that reminds
- 1:40:05Speaker 1: me I need to get my old change. I'm like
- 1:40:06Speaker 1: two thousand over right now? Oh no, oh oh wait,
- 1:40:10Speaker 1: two thousands not like super bad. It's not super bad. No,
- 1:40:12Speaker 1: that's not super bad. You'll be all right. They say
- 1:40:15Speaker 1: they changing every like three thousand to really be on it,
- 1:40:18Speaker 1: but two thousand over when it said I needed it,
- 1:40:21Speaker 1: That's what I'm saying. There. There are some schools that
- 1:40:23Speaker 1: thought that's like, it's really only every five that you
- 1:40:26Speaker 1: need to change. Okay, so that makes me feel better. Yeah,
- 1:40:29Speaker 1: you're right, good, good, But shout out what was his name? Chef.
- 1:40:34Speaker 1: I'm so sorry. I don't did he say his name
- 1:40:40Speaker 1: shout out fuck forgot forgot it boys? Beforehand, we thought
- 1:40:48Speaker 1: he was from Philly.
- 1:40:49Speaker 4: His area code is a Tampa area code. Now than
- 1:40:52Speaker 4: I'm hearing his voice, I don't know.
- 1:40:55Speaker 1: Now.
- 1:40:55Speaker 4: I thought I was gonna get a get big go
- 1:40:57Speaker 4: birds at the end of that from everything, Oh the
- 1:41:00Speaker 4: fuck for calling in.
- 1:41:01Speaker 7: Thank you Fox Chef, Jack, Papa char and Willie one shelf.
- 1:41:05Speaker 1: Good morning.
- 1:41:05Speaker 7: I say good morning because it is currently five forty
- 1:41:08Speaker 7: five driving on my hour and a half to mute,
- 1:41:11Speaker 7: listening to the show Love It You Got a Dad
- 1:41:14Speaker 7: failed the other day, and I feel like I had
- 1:41:16Speaker 7: to share.
- 1:41:17Speaker 6: With the boys.
- 1:41:19Speaker 7: Currently in the football seasons just starting up, so I
- 1:41:23Speaker 7: am in the thick of it right now, you could say,
- 1:41:28Speaker 7: going through it. So I get home later in the evening,
- 1:41:31Speaker 7: don't get as much time to spend with my boys
- 1:41:33Speaker 7: and my wife as I would like, so I try
- 1:41:35Speaker 7: to take advantage of the small moments. Don't really like
- 1:41:37Speaker 7: to come in and drop the hammer right when I
- 1:41:39Speaker 7: get home and get on my oldest. But the other
- 1:41:43Speaker 7: night he was giving mom a fit and accidentally hit
- 1:41:48Speaker 7: his brother a little too hard, so I had to
- 1:41:50Speaker 7: go in to dad mode on him, and once we
- 1:41:53Speaker 7: had our chat, he was crying in his room. So
- 1:41:58Speaker 7: I walk over and check on him to make sure
- 1:42:00Speaker 7: he's okay, and I asked him what was wrong, and
- 1:42:04Speaker 7: he said, Daddy, you just broke my heart. So in
- 1:42:08Speaker 7: that in turn broke my heart.
- 1:42:10Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:42:10Speaker 7: So I had to sit down with him and turn
- 1:42:12Speaker 7: it into a lesson of you know, he protects his
- 1:42:15Speaker 7: baby brother, and when I'm not at the house, he
- 1:42:17Speaker 7: protects baby brother and mom. So that's that's the person
- 1:42:22Speaker 7: being a boy dad, I guess, trying to raise a
- 1:42:24Speaker 7: little protector and raising him be a good brother and
- 1:42:27Speaker 7: a good man. Love the show boys, keep doing what
- 1:42:30Speaker 7: you're doing.
- 1:42:31Speaker 1: PT.
- 1:42:31Speaker 7: Six out.
- 1:42:33Speaker 1: Love that call. That was a great call. That was
- 1:42:37Speaker 1: I think there's like, ah, like my dad was like
- 1:42:40Speaker 1: that right, Dad comes in the door. Oh shit, little
- 1:42:45Speaker 1: fear enters your body, giving mom problems. You hit your brother.
- 1:42:48Speaker 1: I had two younger brothers, so there's always you know,
- 1:42:51Speaker 1: chaos around the three boys. But you know, Dad always
- 1:42:55Speaker 1: dropped the always drop the hammer on the boys. But
- 1:42:57Speaker 1: I will say that's what I appreciated it. What I
- 1:43:00Speaker 1: appreciated about that call is him talking like you know,
- 1:43:03Speaker 1: went in to sit with him, talk to him. Don't
- 1:43:05Speaker 1: feel like, you know, love my dad, but I don't
- 1:43:07Speaker 1: feel like that ever happened a whole lot. Yeah, in
- 1:43:10Speaker 1: our household to where you know, old man's coming back
- 1:43:13Speaker 1: around and sit and listen to you. I feel like
- 1:43:15Speaker 1: that means a lot to the boy that you go
- 1:43:18Speaker 1: in and you got more on the empathy had, especially
- 1:43:20Speaker 1: when he says, Dad, you break my heart. Like, oh God,
- 1:43:23Speaker 1: that would sink me back into the couch. But you
- 1:43:27Speaker 1: know what I mean, just having that extra part again,
- 1:43:30Speaker 1: it's like you're gonna have those bad moments and maybe
- 1:43:32Speaker 1: like when you reflect as your dad, you're like, I
- 1:43:34Speaker 1: kind of went about that all wrong. There's still opportunity
- 1:43:37Speaker 1: to come back around, like going back into the room
- 1:43:39Speaker 1: and sitting with them and you know, airing it out. However,
- 1:43:42Speaker 1: you guys are airing it out, turning it into a lesson,
- 1:43:45Speaker 1: putting on that empathy hat to where they're here, you
- 1:43:47Speaker 1: guys are talking, you know what I mean, Yeah, dude,
- 1:43:50Speaker 1: And the fact that like son is open to.
- 1:43:55Speaker 2: Have that conversation of like saying, like, Dad, you broke
- 1:43:59Speaker 2: my heart, know, like being able to like voice his
- 1:44:02Speaker 2: emotions it sounds like that house does a good job
- 1:44:04Speaker 2: of just kind of being able to talk it out.
- 1:44:08Speaker 1: Yeah, like putting it out there the kid, I don't
- 1:44:10Speaker 1: know how old the sun is, but feeling safe enough
- 1:44:12Speaker 1: to say something like, oh you you're you know, you
- 1:44:14Speaker 1: break my heart because a lot of times it's like
- 1:44:16Speaker 1: if if I'm getting talking to you from my old
- 1:44:18Speaker 1: man when I was little, it's like you're You're not
- 1:44:19Speaker 1: really saying a whole lot. You're just like, yeah, I understand, yes, sir.
- 1:44:22Speaker 1: You're not trying to escalate the situation. I was a
- 1:44:25Speaker 1: yeser machine. Yeah, I know exactly what you yeah to
- 1:44:29Speaker 1: where you're just sitting there in fear most of the time, yeah,
- 1:44:33Speaker 1: versus having a space to where you're comfortable to this,
- 1:44:36Speaker 1: to say like you know this how I feel, or
- 1:44:38Speaker 1: you broke my heart doing this. Then it becomes an
- 1:44:40Speaker 1: entire an entire lesson. You're giving him something to think
- 1:44:42Speaker 1: about with. Hey, the expectation, the reason I'm hard on you,
- 1:44:45Speaker 1: or the reason for X, Y and Z is you're
- 1:44:49Speaker 1: the protector, bro, Like when dad's out of the house,
- 1:44:53Speaker 1: when the head dog's out of the house, Like you
- 1:44:55Speaker 1: are the head dog. Yeah, you are the man of
- 1:44:57Speaker 1: the house. I could do a much better job of
- 1:45:02Speaker 1: going about it different ways. So I feel like a
- 1:45:04Speaker 1: lot of times that's you know, that's like the dad
- 1:45:05Speaker 1: in you. You go hard for a moment, then you're like, ah,
- 1:45:08Speaker 1: maybe I could have done it a little bit differently.
- 1:45:10Speaker 1: I could have coached you up a little bit differently.
- 1:45:13Speaker 1: I'm now feeling that in myself. I'm glad we're sitting
- 1:45:15Speaker 1: here talking and you're listening. I'm listening to you. But
- 1:45:19Speaker 1: this is why this happens. I'm not just doing it.
- 1:45:22Speaker 1: I'm just doing it because I love to do it.
- 1:45:24Speaker 1: I hate tat in your ass. Yeah, but my thought
- 1:45:28Speaker 1: process behind it is because of X, Y and Z.
- 1:45:30Speaker 1: So that's something that I need you to think about
- 1:45:32Speaker 1: and you to be conscious of as you continue to
- 1:45:35Speaker 1: get older, because you are You're gonna be the man
- 1:45:37Speaker 1: of the house one day. Dad's not always going to
- 1:45:39Speaker 1: be here, that always that kind of that sucks to
- 1:45:42Speaker 1: say out loud right now. Yeah, but it's also the truth.
- 1:45:47Speaker 1: I love that call. Shout out. Shout out that dad, Yeah,
- 1:45:50Speaker 1: shout out that Dad.
- 1:45:52Speaker 2: I do love the not just telling him to be better,
- 1:45:55Speaker 2: but like telling him how to be better. Like the
- 1:45:59Speaker 2: challenging him of like, hey, you got to be the protector.
- 1:46:03Speaker 2: I know that that's like a pretty resounding thing across
- 1:46:07Speaker 2: like parents and teachers of if you have a kid
- 1:46:10Speaker 2: that's like acting out, give him some responsibility, right, and
- 1:46:13Speaker 2: it helps a ton.
- 1:46:16Speaker 1: So like giving him the responsibility of like, hey, you
- 1:46:19Speaker 1: you gotta hold it down, dude, Yeah, I need you.
- 1:46:22Speaker 1: We're a team. It reminds me of a comment this
- 1:46:24Speaker 1: comes from my boy. I grew up with him. His
- 1:46:26Speaker 1: name's Joey Winkle and of the Lesson less Week the
- 1:46:31Speaker 1: punishment one underneath the clip was a comment and his
- 1:46:35Speaker 1: comment is this is great. Something I learned from my
- 1:46:37Speaker 1: father was if you must punish them, make sure and
- 1:46:39Speaker 1: sit down with them afterwards and explain why what they
- 1:46:43Speaker 1: did isn't tolerated. Mistakes don't require punishment, but disrespect does.
- 1:46:47Speaker 1: There's a fine line there, in my opinion, ooh, which
- 1:46:50Speaker 1: I love and shout out to my dad.
- 1:46:55Speaker 2: He did do a good job of bouncing that in
- 1:46:57Speaker 2: my eyes, Like, I think my dad did a really
- 1:47:01Speaker 2: good job of There were some times where like I
- 1:47:05Speaker 2: got the belt and I never wanted the belt again,
- 1:47:08Speaker 2: But most of the time I was just talking.
- 1:47:10Speaker 1: With my dad, you know, like it was not always.
- 1:47:16Speaker 2: Spanking or whatever, but it was sitting down talking through
- 1:47:21Speaker 2: why we don't do that, et cetera, and seeing that
- 1:47:24Speaker 2: for like my brother too, My brother very often would
- 1:47:28Speaker 2: get like in a verbal altercation with my dad for
- 1:47:32Speaker 2: any said reason. I feel like my dad did a
- 1:47:35Speaker 2: good job of kind of like doing the balancing act
- 1:47:38Speaker 2: of having those conversations with my brother and working through
- 1:47:41Speaker 2: it to where I did feel like safe enough to
- 1:47:46Speaker 2: be able to voice my opinions. As I grew up.
- 1:47:49Speaker 2: My brother's four years old, So there are those like
- 1:47:53Speaker 2: little things that you're like, I kind of want to
- 1:47:54Speaker 2: talk to my dad about or ask him if I
- 1:47:56Speaker 2: can do this, or da da duh. He might get mad,
- 1:47:58Speaker 2: but I wasn't too scared to like hide anything from him.
- 1:48:03Speaker 1: You know. Yeah, i'd be nervous, Oh yeah, dude. For yeah,
- 1:48:07Speaker 1: growing up, it's oh, it wouldn't be the sit down afterwards.
- 1:48:10Speaker 1: It would almost be a moment to where all the
- 1:48:14Speaker 1: guards are down, and it might be a day later
- 1:48:18Speaker 1: or a moment later in the week, or we might
- 1:48:20Speaker 1: end up, you know, he'd be out in the garage
- 1:48:22Speaker 1: and I'd like go out in the garage or we'd
- 1:48:23Speaker 1: be having like a deeper conversation about it to where
- 1:48:26Speaker 1: he's more reflective in talking about it, yeah, versus in
- 1:48:30Speaker 1: the moment or after that moment or later in that day.
- 1:48:35Speaker 1: But yeah, or you're in there in the living room
- 1:48:38Speaker 1: sitting with both mom and dad kind of talking about
- 1:48:40Speaker 1: a recent situation.
- 1:48:42Speaker 2: Yeah, dude, getting set down by both parents too was
- 1:48:46Speaker 2: always really great. Yeah, or it wasn't great when I
- 1:48:49Speaker 2: was a kid, but like it worked right, Like when
- 1:48:52Speaker 2: mom and dad would get me on we have these
- 1:48:54Speaker 2: red sofas, dude, and they face each other, no TV
- 1:48:57Speaker 2: in the room, when you got set down on the
- 1:48:59Speaker 2: reds opas and mom and.
- 1:49:00Speaker 1: Dad are sitting across the Yeah. Yeah, but great call in,
- 1:49:05Speaker 1: great calling, And I'm pumped. I got to reflect. I
- 1:49:07Speaker 1: got the shout out Joey's comment too. Shout out Joey, Yeah,
- 1:49:10Speaker 1: shout out Joey. Good shout out, and shout out Bruce R.
- 1:49:14Speaker 1: I P. Let's go. Let's go and do the lesson.
- 1:49:16Speaker 1: You want to do the lesson? Yeah, bro, you got coined,
- 1:49:18Speaker 1: you got you got the responsibility the quote lesson topic
- 1:49:22Speaker 1: of your choice. Oh okay.
- 1:49:24Speaker 2: So Will challenged me yesterday with not like challenge me
- 1:49:29Speaker 2: in a bad way. But you were like, hey, I
- 1:49:30Speaker 2: want you to do the lesson of the week this week.
- 1:49:33Speaker 2: I went home last night, said Jill, I gotta do
- 1:49:37Speaker 2: the lesson of the week. I gotta start thinking and
- 1:49:38Speaker 2: planning because Will wants me to do the lesson of
- 1:49:42Speaker 2: the week. And she said, yeah, that's good because Will's
- 1:49:45Speaker 2: really been bringing the heat lately, and I feel like
- 1:49:48Speaker 2: you need to start bringing the heat a little bit.
- 1:49:52Speaker 1: I said what. I was like, what do you mean
- 1:49:56Speaker 1: by that? I was like, energy wise?
- 1:49:58Speaker 2: She goes, no, Like he's just like he's talking about
- 1:50:01Speaker 2: like his dad experiences. I feel like you need to
- 1:50:03Speaker 2: start talking more about your dad. E What am I
- 1:50:07Speaker 2: talking about on the show?
- 1:50:10Speaker 1: Wait?
- 1:50:10Speaker 2: Can y'all can y'all inform me? Like what have I
- 1:50:12Speaker 2: been talking about? Am I just talking about.
- 1:50:16Speaker 1: Gooning too much? Like? Now, mind you just context We
- 1:50:23Speaker 1: It's like you came home to say that, and that's
- 1:50:27Speaker 1: after we posted a couple of videos. That's the horny video,
- 1:50:32Speaker 1: that's the Horny shout out our merch btw tv dot com.
- 1:50:37Speaker 1: So she's seeing best, she's gorolling and seeing she's seeing
- 1:50:41Speaker 1: Will's lesson. Then she's seeing you being horny pop list.
- 1:50:47Speaker 2: She's like this, this will guys out here bringing the heat.
- 1:50:50Speaker 2: My husband's just a horn dog.
- 1:50:52Speaker 1: What the heck? Anyways, so he says, you spent some
- 1:50:56Speaker 1: time on it. I spent some time on it, which
- 1:51:00Speaker 1: fires me because yesterday I think you're saying you're just
- 1:51:02Speaker 1: gonna do like a speech like from a movie or
- 1:51:04Speaker 1: something like that.
- 1:51:05Speaker 2: Oh I'm going to allude to a movie scene like Okay,
- 1:51:11Speaker 2: that's like the example at the end. But I have
- 1:51:13Speaker 2: like a full little let's go bro fires me up? Okay,
- 1:51:17Speaker 2: fire PT six Up bro pt six. Today's theme is bravery.
- 1:51:25Speaker 2: Fear is an extremely strong emotion, so strong that animals
- 1:51:29Speaker 2: can physically sense and smell when humans are afraid. Due
- 1:51:33Speaker 2: to a chemical change in our bodies, we begin to
- 1:51:36Speaker 2: sweat when fearful or anxious, and our brain releases cortisol, adrenaline, endorphins, dopamine, and.
- 1:51:45Speaker 1: Nor epinephrine. I hope I nailed that one.
- 1:51:49Speaker 2: These chemicals heighten alertness, numb our senses, numb our emotions,
- 1:51:54Speaker 2: and cause us to either fight, freeze, or run when
- 1:51:57Speaker 2: we're in fear. Oftentimes when we're angry, frustrated, or sad
- 1:52:02Speaker 2: due to an outward force in our life, and the anger, frustration,
- 1:52:07Speaker 2: or sadness will be the emotion that we display to
- 1:52:11Speaker 2: the world, But the true cause of those emotions is
- 1:52:15Speaker 2: actually caused by a deep seated fear. So fear is
- 1:52:19Speaker 2: like the baseline emotion that then might have us a
- 1:52:23Speaker 2: like that fight, freeze or run. It might cause you
- 1:52:26Speaker 2: to fight, be angry, freeze, be sad, be you know, isolate.
- 1:52:32Speaker 2: When my wife becomes angry with me because I didn't
- 1:52:35Speaker 2: remember to take the diaper trash bag out, it's not
- 1:52:38Speaker 2: just the action of my air that is angered her.
- 1:52:41Speaker 1: It's her fear that she and.
- 1:52:43Speaker 2: Our child, Scarlet are not my highest priority. When I'm
- 1:52:47Speaker 2: frustrated with the way a friend has treated me and
- 1:52:49Speaker 2: sit and stew on it for minutes, hours, or even days,
- 1:52:53Speaker 2: it's not their actions towards me that have put me
- 1:52:55Speaker 2: on the couch paralyzed with frustration or anger. It's the
- 1:53:00Speaker 2: fear of having to confront them with my thoughts or
- 1:53:02Speaker 2: feelings on the matter. Fear is such a basic instinct
- 1:53:06Speaker 2: that it is physically contagious amongst humans. If someone jumps
- 1:53:12Speaker 2: with fear, neurons literally fire off in our.
- 1:53:15Speaker 1: Brains to mimic that same behavior. A scream can.
- 1:53:20Speaker 2: Activate our fear reflexes in our brain on a primal level,
- 1:53:26Speaker 2: and seeing fear turn to anger or sadness or frustration
- 1:53:29Speaker 2: can also lead to others than adopting those same emotions.
- 1:53:34Speaker 2: As we said before on the show, our kids are
- 1:53:36Speaker 2: always watching us and picking up on actions and words
- 1:53:38Speaker 2: that we say in display. With fear already being so contagious,
- 1:53:43Speaker 2: it makes me worry about passing that along to my
- 1:53:46Speaker 2: daughter or even my wife. But in all caps, humans
- 1:53:51Speaker 2: are interesting creatures because just as we display fear like
- 1:53:56Speaker 2: most animals of prey, we also possess bravery. And bravery
- 1:54:02Speaker 2: is scientifically and physically just as contagious as fear. The
- 1:54:06Speaker 2: same neurons that fire off to mimic fear patterns and
- 1:54:09Speaker 2: others fire off when signs of bravery are displayed, standing
- 1:54:14Speaker 2: up to danger, staying calm under pressure, calmly confronting a
- 1:54:18Speaker 2: friend that has wronged you, or yes, even forgetting to
- 1:54:22Speaker 2: take out that or taking out that dirty diaper trash
- 1:54:26Speaker 2: in the wee hours of the early morning while you're
- 1:54:29Speaker 2: half awake, Dopamine and oxytocin releasing your brain when you
- 1:54:35Speaker 2: are brave, which gives us the feelings of connection, reward,
- 1:54:41Speaker 2: and purpose. That neurological cocktail can override fear, especially in
- 1:54:46Speaker 2: moments of anger, sadness, or frustration. Bravery is not the
- 1:54:51Speaker 2: absence of fear.
- 1:54:53Speaker 1: This is important. Bravery is not the absence of fear.
- 1:54:56Speaker 2: It's the identification and self diagnosis so fear and then
- 1:55:01Speaker 2: the decision to act in spite of the fear. So
- 1:55:05Speaker 2: you have to first realize that you are afraid or
- 1:55:09Speaker 2: something is causing you to feel that way, and you
- 1:55:11Speaker 2: have to act in spite of it.
- 1:55:13Speaker 1: That's what bravery is. A great example of bravery.
- 1:55:18Speaker 2: Uh, this is a selfish add on is Jerius Evans,
- 1:55:23Speaker 2: also known as g Baby in the film Hardball.
- 1:55:28Speaker 1: Uh, this is dude, I might tear up if I
- 1:55:31Speaker 1: read this monologue. It's so good. Read it, stay in it.
- 1:55:35Speaker 4: Damn it.
- 1:55:37Speaker 1: I tear up way too much.
- 1:55:40Speaker 2: Dude. Hey, give me just a second, because I really
- 1:55:42Speaker 2: don't want to tear up. I actually does because people
- 1:55:46Speaker 2: are like, sureman, what the fuck?
- 1:55:48Speaker 1: Dude? Okay, the fears triggering right now? It is walk
- 1:55:52Speaker 1: with it, okay, not the absence. Let's go walk with it.
- 1:55:57Speaker 2: Walk with it, okay, So jeer us Uh, was the
- 1:56:01Speaker 2: youngest player on the Cocumba's the baseball team in this film.
- 1:56:05Speaker 2: If you have not seen Hardball, Keanu Reeves is their coach.
- 1:56:12Speaker 2: Not to get into the full plot of the movie,
- 1:56:13Speaker 2: but he's not the best guy. He has to do
- 1:56:16Speaker 2: the coaching because it's like court ordered.
- 1:56:19Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:56:21Speaker 2: So Jerius actually, sadly he passes away in the film.
- 1:56:26Speaker 2: And this coach is making this speech at Jerius's funeral, uh,
- 1:56:31Speaker 2: and he's talking about a huge game that happened earlier
- 1:56:34Speaker 2: in the film that you don't know the result of
- 1:56:37Speaker 2: the game until this moment here where he's speaking at
- 1:56:40Speaker 2: the funeral. He says, Jerius was a player on the
- 1:56:45Speaker 2: Cocumbas baseball team that I coach, and honestly, he was
- 1:56:49Speaker 2: too young to play. So he's the younger brother of
- 1:56:51Speaker 2: a player on the team, very small and portrayed very
- 1:56:56Speaker 2: small in the film as well. But he wanted to
- 1:56:59Speaker 2: be a part of the team, seem so badly that
- 1:57:01Speaker 2: I couldn't say no. He had a great smile too.
- 1:57:04Speaker 2: Though I'm not telling you anything that you don't already know.
- 1:57:07Speaker 2: He was a really, really tough kid, just a boy
- 1:57:10Speaker 2: who really wanted to be around his older brother. The
- 1:57:13Speaker 2: other day, we played a really important baseball game against
- 1:57:16Speaker 2: a good team, and with two outs in the last inning,
- 1:57:19Speaker 2: I had no choice but to let Jerrus bat. And
- 1:57:22Speaker 2: so in the movie you see that one of their
- 1:57:26Speaker 2: best hitters as an asthma attack in the late stretch
- 1:57:29Speaker 2: of the game, and Keanu literally has to put in
- 1:57:32Speaker 2: this little kid or else they will have to forfeit
- 1:57:35Speaker 2: the game. Yeah, I had no choice to put Jerius
- 1:57:41Speaker 2: at bat. He was fearless as he stepped to the plate,
- 1:57:46Speaker 2: and I was terrified for him. With two strikes in
- 1:57:48Speaker 2: our hopes dwindling, he shot. He hit a shot down
- 1:57:53Speaker 2: the first baseline and he won the game. And watching
- 1:57:56Speaker 2: him raise his arms and triumph he ran the first
- 1:58:00Speaker 2: I don't know why I'm crying. I swear I was
- 1:58:02Speaker 2: lifted in that moment to a better place, and I
- 1:58:05Speaker 2: swear he lifted the world in that moment, and he
- 1:58:09Speaker 2: made me a better person. And I think the thing
- 1:58:12Speaker 2: that everybody because I'm obsessed with college football and I'm
- 1:58:16Speaker 2: obsessed with underdog teams, and I think the thing that
- 1:58:19Speaker 2: like everybody loves about a good underdog story is like
- 1:58:24Speaker 2: the bravery that they show in the situation where they
- 1:58:28Speaker 2: should be so scared, they should be worried, they should
- 1:58:31Speaker 2: be fearful, but they like act in defiance of that.
- 1:58:35Speaker 2: And I just think it's so cool that, like chemically
- 1:58:39Speaker 2: our brains when we see something brave, it makes us
- 1:58:43Speaker 2: want to be brave. And I don't know, it just
- 1:58:46Speaker 2: it fires me up that like something so contagious and
- 1:58:50Speaker 2: sometimes toxic fear can be good. It could be a
- 1:58:52Speaker 2: good thing, but something toxic like fear is so contagious.
- 1:58:57Speaker 2: But then also our brains are able to like have
- 1:59:00Speaker 2: this contagious bravery that we can just be inspired by stuff.
- 1:59:05Speaker 2: So I challenge the PT sixers to go out and
- 1:59:09Speaker 2: be brave about anything, you know, like really work through
- 1:59:13Speaker 2: those times where you are feeling some anger, some sadness
- 1:59:17Speaker 2: or whatever, and try and take a moment, take a breath,
- 1:59:20Speaker 2: and kind of diagnose, like why am I truly feeling
- 1:59:24Speaker 2: this way? Because I'm not actually mad that the grilled
- 1:59:26Speaker 2: cheese was burned. I'm mad because I don't think why,
- 1:59:31Speaker 2: you know, is really thinking about me or cares about me,
- 1:59:34Speaker 2: or takes the time of blah blah blah, and you
- 1:59:36Speaker 2: know in your heart of hearts that's not true.
- 1:59:38Speaker 1: Or whatever you know in your heart hearts most of
- 1:59:40Speaker 1: the time, you're letting yourself down in some area. Yes, dude.
- 1:59:45Speaker 1: Also that also that so yeah, that was my lesson
- 1:59:49Speaker 1: of the week. I didn't fully cry. Good work, bro,
- 1:59:52Speaker 1: I kind of cried, but you did, and I started
- 1:59:55Speaker 1: the tear for a second. And I also feel like
- 1:59:57Speaker 1: there's a component that's absolutely hilarious that you're tearing up
- 2:00:00Speaker 1: during the Hardball model. It's not like it's a movie.
- 2:00:04Speaker 1: It's a fucking movie. And I watched that. I watched
- 2:00:10Speaker 1: that movie. Dude.
- 2:00:12Speaker 2: I cry every You could pull that video up right
- 2:00:15Speaker 2: now on YouTube and not even watch the full movie.
- 2:00:18Speaker 2: I will cry. Yeah, I will ball my eyes out.
- 2:00:21Speaker 1: Like you're reading this monologue in this moment, like it
- 2:00:25Speaker 1: was a real.
- 2:00:26Speaker 2: About a fictional character that does not exist. It doesn't exist,
- 2:00:32Speaker 2: and I'm tearing up and it made you tear up.
- 2:00:35Speaker 1: Oh yeah, I started to tear up. It was like
- 2:00:37Speaker 1: a weird I was tearing up and also wanting to
- 2:00:40Speaker 1: to laugh to like, what the hell are we doing here?
- 2:00:46Speaker 1: That's gonna be the longest clip we've ever made. It's
- 2:00:49Speaker 1: so long. I wish that we could just run the
- 2:00:52Speaker 1: clip of g Baby hitting that shot. Oh absolutely, bro
- 2:00:56Speaker 1: Oh my god, but good work man. That all right? Yeah,
- 2:01:01Speaker 1: that was a that was a classroom session. Let's go.
- 2:01:05Speaker 1: You were breaking down the science of everything, dude.
- 2:01:08Speaker 2: Is that crazy that like animals can literally like horses
- 2:01:11Speaker 2: and dogs can straight up. That's why they say when
- 2:01:15Speaker 2: you get on a horse's back, they're like, chill out,
- 2:01:19Speaker 2: because the horse can literally be like this motherfucker's like, yeah,
- 2:01:23Speaker 2: I don't want them on my bad.
- 2:01:24Speaker 1: I love to that you hit. The part is like,
- 2:01:25Speaker 1: bravery is not the absence of fear. It's legitimately just
- 2:01:28Speaker 1: identifying it, identifying it, accepting it, and fucking walking with
- 2:01:33Speaker 1: that motherfucker. Yeah, that's what it is at all times.
- 2:01:36Speaker 2: Yes, And to like, uh, I know, we have a
- 2:01:39Speaker 2: lot of military listeners and a lot of police firefighter listeners.
- 2:01:44Speaker 2: There was something cool that I came across when I
- 2:01:46Speaker 2: was doing research for this of the number one reason
- 2:01:50Speaker 2: why firefighters police officers that feel brave enough to charge
- 2:01:57Speaker 2: into a dangerous situation, it's because they see one of
- 2:01:59Speaker 2: their doing it. That's the number one reason across the
- 2:02:05Speaker 2: board when asked like where do you get that bravery?
- 2:02:08Speaker 2: I see it in somebody else and then it makes
- 2:02:10Speaker 2: me feel like I'm strong enough to do it.
- 2:02:13Speaker 1: I love that.
- 2:02:13Speaker 6: Man.
- 2:02:13Speaker 2: It's so cool, dude, Like just the leading by example
- 2:02:16Speaker 2: in any kind of way. Yeah, so funny too, dude,
- 2:02:20Speaker 2: of just.
- 2:02:22Speaker 1: How primal our brains are.
- 2:02:24Speaker 2: If if chef over there was like whoa, what the
- 2:02:27Speaker 2: it went like that all of our brains would go
- 2:02:29Speaker 2: what what was that?
- 2:02:31Speaker 1: Right? Like we take factor primal creatures. Yeah, that was awesome.
- 2:02:36Speaker 1: That was a great work and it was also funny.
- 2:02:39Speaker 1: Let's go hey. I was like, I was trying to
- 2:02:46Speaker 1: remember the monologue that Keanu Reeves was given. Yeah, is
- 2:02:49Speaker 1: this a great movie? You haven't watched our ballt phenomenal movie,
- 2:02:52Speaker 1: And I'm wondering what part in this is, like is
- 2:02:55Speaker 1: gonna like break you down? Because I remember your ever
- 2:02:58Speaker 1: you tear up when you're watching movie because it's a
- 2:03:00Speaker 1: very sad like story and as you're going through it,
- 2:03:05Speaker 1: like he's just recapping a game right now and this
- 2:03:07Speaker 1: is shaking him to the core. He's in it. He's
- 2:03:10Speaker 1: in this movie just crying. Dude.
- 2:03:17Speaker 2: We have to play that video and just have me
- 2:03:19Speaker 2: watch it in front of you guys out. Literally, I
- 2:03:23Speaker 2: will ball my eyes out. We didn't even talk about
- 2:03:25Speaker 2: the part where he sits He sits G Baby down
- 2:03:28Speaker 2: before he goes out onto the plate, because it's like
- 2:03:30Speaker 2: takes you to the game, and he's like, hey, it does.
- 2:03:34Speaker 2: You do whatever you want out there. If you don't
- 2:03:36Speaker 2: want to swing, you don't have to. Just know that
- 2:03:38Speaker 2: we're proud of you no matter what happens. And G
- 2:03:41Speaker 2: Babies Yeah, okay, that picture just puts some heat like
- 2:03:46Speaker 2: right by his face and he drops the bat because
- 2:03:48Speaker 2: the bat's like too big for him.
- 2:03:50Speaker 1: Oh yeah, you get up baby, Yeah yeah.
- 2:03:53Speaker 2: And then when when he lines up for the pitch
- 2:03:55Speaker 2: that like he smokes, it does that close up shot
- 2:03:58Speaker 2: of G Baby like gripping of that and kind of like,
- 2:04:01Speaker 2: you know, ye a little bit like getting into it.
- 2:04:04Speaker 1: Oh dude, dude, that was awesome. You could have not
- 2:04:10Speaker 1: even mentioned hardball. You could not have mentioned G Baby,
- 2:04:14Speaker 1: and you could have just you were in such a
- 2:04:16Speaker 1: moment and a role right there that you could have
- 2:04:18Speaker 1: accepted that as a story that you witnessed. You know
- 2:04:23Speaker 1: what I mean, like the way the way you were
- 2:04:26Speaker 1: feeling that monologue, because what what what was making me
- 2:04:30Speaker 1: just tear up? It's just seeing you. Hey, that's another thing.
- 2:04:33Speaker 1: Brains were firing. I'm seeing you tear up. I'm like
- 2:04:36Speaker 1: weirdly reacting and tearing up. And then I'm reminding myself.
- 2:04:39Speaker 1: I'm like, he's he's deep right now in this Harpball movie,
- 2:04:45Speaker 1: like he just saw it.
- 2:04:46Speaker 2: I'll cry the fictional books. I'll cry to movie. I
- 2:04:50Speaker 2: told you when I saw Creed in theaters for the
- 2:04:54Speaker 2: first time, I was a fucking mess.
- 2:04:57Speaker 1: Dude, Dude, I listen, I cry. I cry movies too.
- 2:05:00Speaker 1: I'm talking to reenactment that you just delivered. That's what
- 2:05:04Speaker 1: I'm saying. It's like, you remember when we were joking around.
- 2:05:07Speaker 1: I feel like you witnessed all of this in real life.
- 2:05:10Speaker 1: You remember when we were joking around about that line
- 2:05:13Speaker 1: and Creed, Well, you'rebody sitting at home with the cows man.
- 2:05:16Speaker 1: He's really feeling this. He loves this baby Horball.
- 2:05:20Speaker 6: I do.
- 2:05:22Speaker 1: When we were joking about Creed in the office and
- 2:05:24Speaker 1: that line that slide gives Creed before he goes, He's like,
- 2:05:30Speaker 1: you know, now, go out there and knock that some
- 2:05:32Speaker 1: a bit. Yeah, He's like, I'm gonna knock that so
- 2:05:35Speaker 1: bitch down. He's like, hey, I know you will. You
- 2:05:38Speaker 1: want to know why because your creed and I love
- 2:05:40Speaker 1: your kid, and.
- 2:05:41Speaker 2: Then the music kicks in, just us talking about it.
- 2:05:44Speaker 2: That that was like months ago in my head. When
- 2:05:48Speaker 2: you were like saying that line, I was starting to
- 2:05:51Speaker 2: get the goosebumps and like feeling in my thread.
- 2:05:54Speaker 1: Yeah, dude, film just gets me. Fucking damned damn. That
- 2:05:59Speaker 1: was awesome. That was awesome. When you're like I might
- 2:06:03Speaker 1: tear up on this part, I'm like, oh man, he
- 2:06:05Speaker 1: kinna recite some story, like you know, recite something from
- 2:06:10Speaker 1: home that just touches him in a different way. And
- 2:06:12Speaker 1: then you start going into the hardball monologue with Scarlett's
- 2:06:22Speaker 1: basketballs out of her mouth and she wants to cry,
- 2:06:25Speaker 1: but she doesn't. She keeps it in and I reached
- 2:06:29Speaker 1: down to the floor. I grabbed that passive fire. Yeah
- 2:06:34Speaker 1: that's good stuff. Thank you everybody for tuning in. Were
- 2:06:38Speaker 1: y'all gonna say something after He's now you have to?
- 2:06:44Speaker 1: Is that right there? It doesn't be like I gotta
- 2:06:46Speaker 1: go watch this goddamn movie. But I was sitting there
- 2:06:48Speaker 1: shirms like in the monologued here up, I'm like, what's
- 2:06:51Speaker 1: this movie? That's what's making me? Left my head too.
- 2:06:57Speaker 1: I was like I wonder if there's people out there
- 2:06:59Speaker 1: just like is this is he? Is he going through
- 2:07:02Speaker 1: a movie.
- 2:07:03Speaker 2: Scene and they're gonna be They're gonna be googling. They're
- 2:07:05Speaker 2: gonna be like Jerrus Evans, who's this kid?
- 2:07:07Speaker 7: Yeah?
- 2:07:09Speaker 1: Yeah, he's so he's breaking down. Did he say that
- 2:07:13Speaker 1: this is a movie.
- 2:07:14Speaker 2: They're gonna be halfway listening and just god, is that
- 2:07:17Speaker 2: epic story?
- 2:07:17Speaker 1: This should be a movie so good.
- 2:07:21Speaker 4: I wanted to like really empathize with how you're starting
- 2:07:25Speaker 4: to tear up on this monologue whole time. But I'm thinking,
- 2:07:27Speaker 4: I'm like, god, this movie must be like a real
- 2:07:30Speaker 4: He's like a baseball movie. And I'm like, okay, Field
- 2:07:33Speaker 4: of Dreams gets me water eyed, but.
- 2:07:38Speaker 1: I guess and then and then I catch my that's
- 2:07:42Speaker 1: always and I'm like to like, man, he's really it's
- 2:07:47Speaker 1: hardball got him going. I don't. I really need to
- 2:07:51Speaker 1: like sit down and.
- 2:07:54Speaker 2: I'm not worried about the movie stuff, because like I
- 2:07:58Speaker 2: love that I cry to movies and books, but I
- 2:08:01Speaker 2: need to sit down and really analyze why cry whenever
- 2:08:04Speaker 2: I like talk about like deep emotion stuff because I
- 2:08:07Speaker 2: want to be better at like talking about that, you
- 2:08:10Speaker 2: know what, I mean, I thought you did.
- 2:08:12Speaker 1: A good job, man, job, thank you, but hey again
- 2:08:16Speaker 1: you care.

- 2:08:23Speaker 2: I'm saying in the past, Like at one of my
- 2:08:26Speaker 2: best friend's weddings, I'm doing a grooms and speech. Yeah,
- 2:08:30Speaker 2: and I had to I literally had to go sit
- 2:08:32Speaker 2: down and collect myself. Two girls went and then I
- 2:08:36Speaker 2: went back up and.
- 2:08:37Speaker 1: Finished my speech. That sucks. That sucked.
- 2:08:44Speaker 2: Shout out, Daniel Nauman, I love you. I couldn't even
- 2:08:48Speaker 2: make it through the speech. And Jill's sitting over there
- 2:08:51Speaker 2: rubbing my back of that's a movie scene.
- 2:08:52Speaker 1: What just happened with that monologue? Just somebody up there
- 2:08:57Speaker 1: breaking down over a movie scene and all the buddies

- 2:09:10Speaker 4: I'm not gonna let you get the mic. If you're
- 2:09:11Speaker 4: gonna say that, then sureman gets up there, it starts, tearing.
- 2:09:14Speaker 1: Eyes, start starts, a quarter of a speech has to
- 2:09:17Speaker 1: sit down, all right, that's that's all right. Let's let
- 2:09:21Speaker 1: uh Let's let Janet and Stephanie. Yeah, let's let Janet

- 2:09:35Speaker 2: I'm all, like, you know, like bad trying to talk
- 2:09:40Speaker 2: to the cry I go sit down. And then Janet
- 2:09:43Speaker 2: was like real fun and cute energy. So then all
- 2:09:46Speaker 2: of a sudden just comes up to the mic and
- 2:09:48Speaker 2: she's like, what does classic read off the bed?
- 2:09:50Speaker 1: Yeah? Okay, so this was the story. I knew she
- 2:09:58Speaker 1: loved it. I knew Dan always gonna be the guy.

- 2:10:14Speaker 1: And I look over it Jill and She's got this
- 2:10:16Speaker 1: sparkling her eye, and that's when I knew she loves
- 2:10:19Speaker 1: this weirdo. I was like, oh my god, I forgot
- 2:10:21Speaker 1: Jill loves Mayo too. That's crazy. Just in tears in
- 2:10:28Speaker 1: tears and the only part and he's got his shirt
- 2:10:31Speaker 1: off the whole time.
- 2:10:35Speaker 2: Oh my god, that's literally how it went down. Dude,
