'Scrambled the map': Rick Wilson stunned by 'shock story of 2026’

AlterNet reports that Republican strategist Rick Wilson called Ohio “one of the shock stories of 2026” after a Marist poll placed Democrats ahead in two major statewide races. Sherrod Brown led appointed Republican Sen. Jon Husted 51% to 43% among registered voters, while Amy Acton led Republican Vivek Ramaswamy 50% to 44% in the governor’s race.
