- 0:00Abba Father, Lord Jesus, Holy Spirit, we are
- 0:04so thankful to be here today. It is such a privilege
- 0:07to break from the regular routine of the things
- 0:10we do, and we do a lot of things, we spend a
- 0:12lot of plates, but it is our privilege to get
- 0:15to do this. We get to do this. So Lord, we pray
- 0:19specifically for those that will... listen to
- 0:22this, whether they're doing it on purpose, or
- 0:24they find us somehow, or somebody sends it to
- 0:26them, that they will find themselves encouraged,
- 0:29inspired, and sometimes even challenged. And
- 0:33so, Lord, we give this to you. We fire the arrows.
- 0:36You pick the target. In Jesus' name. Amen. Amen.
- 0:41It's Wednesday, July 29th, 2026. We get to do
- 0:45this. This is episode number 43. Hello brother,
- 1:05how you doing? I'm doing great. I was just locking
- 1:07my car remotely so You know, have you actually
- 1:11done the remote start? Yes. I keep forgetting.
- 1:14I do too. I'm walking out of H -E -B. I'm like,
- 1:17oh man, oh, it's 98 degrees. It's always an H
- 1:19-E -B. And I didn't do it. When we go to the
- 1:21gym, I always remember because I'm hot. I'm feeling
- 1:23it. But I always forget at the grocery store.
- 1:26I get there, why am I paying for this? Well,
- 1:28it's a freebie right now. It is. I would do a
- 1:31freebie too. And then it's going to be, oh, and
- 1:33this costs you $5 a month. I don't think that's
- 1:36worth it. There's a lot of these little nuances
- 1:38that pop up. subscription life, right? I mean,
- 1:42you may or may not have a few subscriptions.
- 1:44I've actually been paring down. It's a job going
- 1:49back in because they don't make it easy for you
- 1:52to unsubscribe. You know, I was listening to
- 1:56the clips show of No Agenda with John C. Dvorak,
- 1:59who we'll talk about a little bit in a moment.
- 2:01And there was a really old clip. And I knew it
- 2:04was old because of the sound quality, you know,
- 2:06back in the Skype days and latency and lag and
- 2:10everything. EQ is real different on those old
- 2:12days. It was halfway across the world. I was
- 2:16in London at the time. And he was talking about,
- 2:19I forget the guy's name, a Silicon Valley guy.
- 2:22He said, that in the future, everything we think
- 2:27as things we buy and own will be licensed and
- 2:32will be on subscription. And in time, John was
- 2:34talking about books, music, and movies, because
- 2:39back in those days, you know, 15, 16 years ago,
- 2:42you downloaded songs, you owned them, you could
- 2:44put them on different devices, you had DVDs.
- 2:47And he was right. All of that has gone. And now
- 2:49it's moving to the automobile. The minute you
- 2:52open the door, you basically have signed a license.
- 2:56They, oh yeah, I agree to these terms. Not necessarily
- 2:59a good thing. Well, we've heard that wonderful
- 3:02quote from the World Economic Forum. Oh yeah,
- 3:04you will own nothing and you will be happy. Yeah.
- 3:07So not so much. Like, how many subscriptions
- 3:11do I have? Wait, where's that? Because the net's
- 3:13always going. What's this $6 .37 charge? Bro,
- 3:18Tina opened up one of the bank accounts, which
- 3:23literally just is there for PayPal stuff, because
- 3:26it goes from that bank account to PayPal. He's
- 3:29like, what is this Brmafidnava for $17? Because
- 3:33it's all abbreviated. Right. You have to look
- 3:36at the PayPal. He's like, what? What is all this?
- 3:39You give a lot of money to Google. I said, no,
- 3:41I do subscriptions through Google. That's why
- 3:44it shows up as Google. Is it just me or is the
- 3:48on -ramp so easy, but the off -ramp is a nightmare?
- 3:53I've actually found that if you do everything
- 3:55through Google Payments, the off ramp is pretty
- 3:58easy. You just say stop. I've been lazy. So I'm
- 4:00just like, yeah, what am I on right now? Okay.
- 4:02And then I have to run it all back down. Fortunately,
- 4:06I've got it down to where it's just a couple,
- 4:08just a very few things, but I'm trying to be
- 4:11cautious about that. So this is a moment for
- 4:14me to exhale. I've been working up, working up
- 4:16to this, just running, running, running, gunning,
- 4:18getting everything ready. You know, we have since
- 4:21the passing of my other podcast partner, John
- 4:24C. Dvorak, things are changing, things are morphing.
- 4:28I feel like I'm also trying to be there for another
- 4:32family, because we are family, be it intercontinental.
- 4:41We've never really talked about personal stuff
- 4:44per se. It's always been business, but always
- 4:45laughing and always joking. And so that's still
- 4:48laughter through the tears, you know, and whereas
- 4:50we're trying to figure stuff out. And John gave
- 4:53plenty of opportunities to laugh. And that's
- 4:55one of the, I think is one of his greatest contributions,
- 4:59even if he was being a curmudgeon. I was always
- 5:01disappointed if I listened to the show and he
- 5:03wasn't a curmudgeon. I'm like, hey, he's in a
- 5:05good mood. I think you and 98 % of the people.
- 5:08I love the chemistry that you guys had. Something
- 5:13has happened to me, which is kind of odd for
- 5:16me, but it's beautiful. Brutal, maybe is a better
- 5:19word. Because I'm such good friends with you
- 5:24and Tina, Annette and I, And because we've walked
- 5:27together now for three years, pretty much nonstop.
- 5:30I mean, we've traveled together, we've done a
- 5:31lot of things, and now we're doing this. But
- 5:34I have, I feel like I've either been adopted
- 5:40into the No Agenda Nation, Gitmo Nation, or I've
- 5:44just adopted mine. I just barged in and crashed
- 5:48the party because I've been blessed to go to
- 5:51some of the meetups, a couple of local here.
- 5:55out at Jenny's place and then out over in Austin,
- 5:58a couple of those. And so that's about four that
- 6:00I've been to. And every time I've gone, I came
- 6:02away lifted, inspired. I love meeting, you know
- 6:07me, man, I couldn't walk down the hall here without
- 6:10having a conversation. We always start the podcast
- 6:11late. Oh, we saw five people we knew at HEB yesterday.
- 6:16What could have taken five minutes was an hour.
- 6:18I'm just here for dental floss, people. Let me
- 6:20go. I'm here for a gallon of milk. Well, you
- 6:22are a part of Knowage and the Nation. I feel
- 6:26like I am. And an important part because the
- 6:29more I listen to what people have to say and
- 6:33thousands of emails, I'm trying to get through
- 6:36all of them, the donation notes which you got
- 6:39over the past two episodes, I noticed that Yes,
- 6:44people came for the media deconstruction, for
- 6:47the clips, et cetera, but it was the chemistry
- 6:49between us that made it work, which is always
- 6:53the case with a podcast. It doesn't matter what
- 6:55you're talking about. People want to listen in
- 6:57on the conversation, and they like the dynamic,
- 7:00and that's a big part of it. So you were as much
- 7:06an extension into the show as... As my daughter
- 7:10as my wife as you know all these different people
- 7:13who are around me, but also This is the big thing
- 7:17that I noticed when all of these notes came in
- 7:2265 % at least were godly spiritual believers
- 7:26not you know, there were some faith thoughts
- 7:28and prayers. Oh, yeah You know, there's there's
- 7:30a lot of that and well wishes and I'm not discounting
- 7:32that all good, but a lot of godly people and
- 7:37I I hope that my openness about my faith helps,
- 7:42and we've had some actual feedback that people
- 7:45said, oh, because you did that, now I feel like
- 7:47I can be more open about it. And you've seen
- 7:50it, the meetups, people come up to you and it's
- 7:52not just, hey, you're a friend of mine. It's
- 7:53like, pastor, I got some questions. Yeah, it's
- 7:56been beautiful. Because people are always asking
- 7:58questions. People are writing me too, which is
- 8:00really nice. I've enjoyed it. I answered one
- 8:02even just this morning. And I love that. I love
- 8:06that interaction. you know, we may not always
- 8:09be able to be in each other's face, but we are
- 8:11in each other's space, so to speak, so in our
- 8:14orbits. And so I love it. What it is for me,
- 8:18it's a pastor's heart, it's a shepherd's heart.
- 8:20So the shepherd wants to protect the flock and
- 8:23the sheep. And it's like the Lord's extended
- 8:27my flock, or at least my heart for the flock,
- 8:31so to speak, where I'm just so, I'm feeling some
- 8:35of the grief and weight that that the family
- 8:38is because it's tragic anytime somebody passes
- 8:42and all that's hard anyway. We grieve and we
- 8:47should grieve well and grieve fully. I remember
- 8:51my mother passed, I was young, she passed at
- 8:5345 so I was in like a sophomore in college. And
- 8:57when she passed, I went to, I didn't feel a lot
- 9:00of grief instantly. I'm a delayed griever. So
- 9:03I got there and I was thinking about this in
- 9:06terms of even listening to you on the show, have
- 9:09some moments where there was a break in your
- 9:11voice, you know? Absolutely. But I know why.
- 9:14It's the same reason I do. I don't often grieve
- 9:18for myself personally. I will later when everybody's
- 9:20okay. But in the moment, I'll grieve for those
- 9:24that I see hurting, that I see broken. I think
- 9:27you felt that same weight as you were manning
- 9:30the microphone. Completely. Because you were
- 9:32smack dab in the middle of it. You're in the
- 9:34other part of that equation and that chemistry.
- 9:37But what I heard in your voice, especially when
- 9:40you read that opener on the Sunday, that was
- 9:44a shepherd's heart. It wasn't just a friend or
- 9:46a business partner. It was actually a shepherd's
- 9:48heart, a pastoral heart that's driven by Christ
- 9:53in His kingdom and His kingdom alive in you.
- 9:56You were feeling those things. You were empathizing.
- 10:00And I'm feeling the same thing for... So I've
- 10:03written several daily grinds specific... Yeah,
- 10:06for No Agenda Nation. To No Jits, and oh, I'm
- 10:09posting it everywhere else. But really, this
- 10:11is for that group that's hurting, that group
- 10:14that's confused or just struggling right now.
- 10:17Normal grief. It is normal. It doesn't feel normal
- 10:19when you're in it. Mm -hmm. Yeah, but it but
- 10:22it won't last forever. Yes. It's but you got
- 10:24to go through it. You can't go around it It's
- 10:27funny that I only broke up a couple times during
- 10:30the show and the the hardest one was being Mmm,
- 10:36was it Thursday or whatever? There was a donation
- 10:39note from a ham radio operator And when a ham
- 10:42radio operator passes away, he becomes an SK,
- 10:46a silent key, from the old Morse code key. Oh,
- 10:49you're right. I tear up again. I don't know why
- 10:55this gets me. Brother, feel it. Let it go. So
- 10:59you go on the air, and you call out his call
- 11:02sign, and then you wait. And so he had recorded
- 11:04this here. And he calls that again, third time.
- 11:09He says, OK. Nothing heard, silent key. That's
- 11:13very much like the police officers, what they
- 11:15do, the firefighters. They have a ceremonial
- 11:18radio moment for the whole, everybody listening.
- 11:21That's what it was. It's honor is what it is.
- 11:23It hit me so hard because we were... hack hams.
- 11:28We just became hams for the lark of it and just
- 11:31to tell people you should become a ham radio
- 11:33operator just in case the world crumbles. You
- 11:36need a way to communicate. We would always be
- 11:38able to do the show on ham radio. All those dystopian
- 11:41movies have one ham radio operator who's broadcasting
- 11:45across the desolate landscape. It was always
- 11:49us. He was always a little wacko in the movies
- 11:52though. He's a little weird. Again, always us,
- 11:55same guy. I'd been feeling a pull towards doing
- 12:01things for the kingdom for a long time. Look
- 12:03at why we're doing this podcast. That wasn't
- 12:05by accident. I'd been feeling this pull for a
- 12:09long time and with John's really sudden passing,
- 12:16immediately I started to feel things, and not
- 12:20just what I feel or what I'm hearing in prayer,
- 12:23but also the scripture. I think I might have
- 12:27mentioned this to you, but it's like God pre
- 12:29-wrote everything and put it in exactly on the
- 12:3227th of July, 2026, so I would read that. But
- 12:36it was everywhere. It was about transition. with
- 12:42death. I just wrote down a couple of scriptures
- 12:44that popped up, Joshua 1, 2 and 5, Moses, my
- 12:49servant is dead, now therefore arise, go over
- 12:52as Jordan, thou and all... I got the King James,
- 12:56and all his people unto the land which I do give
- 12:58to them. As I was with Moses, I will be with
- 13:01thee, I will not fail thee nor forsake thee.
- 13:06Joshua 1 .9, have I not commanded thee, be strong
- 13:08and be of good courage, be not afraid, neither
- 13:11be dismayed, for the Lord the God is with thee
- 13:14wherever you go. I got, when the road ahead is
- 13:20unclear, Psalm 37 .23. Of course, that's the
- 13:24steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord and
- 13:26he delights in the details of his life. But also
- 13:31in Proverbs 3, trust in the Lord with all your
- 13:35heart and lean not into your own understanding
- 13:39and always acknowledge Him and He will direct
- 13:41your paths. So, I mean, and it just went on and
- 13:45on, Jimmy, just it did not stop. And then, of
- 13:48course, the new thing, how struck by, wait a
- 13:54minute, where was I? I think I had it here. What
- 13:58is the passing of the mantle? Is that from Elijah?
- 14:05I had it here somewhere. Elijah tears his clothes
- 14:09and picks up the mantle. Elijah tears his clothes
- 14:11and picks up the mantle and goes back to work
- 14:13the same day. So all these things, and for me
- 14:17it means a handoff, a transition, new things,
- 14:21literally new things were popping up. I got a
- 14:26I think it was a devotional from Krish Dhanam.
- 14:29Yeah, yeah, I got that same devotional. It was
- 14:32good. Yeah, he had 1 Corinthians 10, 13, no temptation
- 14:36has overtaken you that is not common to man.
- 14:38God is faithful. He will not let you be tempted
- 14:41beyond your ability, but with temptation He will
- 14:43also provide the way of escape and you may be
- 14:46able to endure it. And he has a, you know, so
- 14:49he has a whole devotional and a call to action.
- 14:52Trust the hands beside you, rest in the hold
- 14:54above you, guard the heart within you, walk boldly
- 14:57toward the hope ahead of you." And it was this,
- 15:02like constant, constant, constant. Now, maybe
- 15:04it's because you get a 10 -speed bike, you see
- 15:0710 -speed bikes everywhere, but I don't think
- 15:10it was that. I think it was something else going
- 15:11on. That's a Holy Spirit -inspired filter. It's
- 15:14a new filter, a new grid. Yes. And so as I'm
- 15:19feeling all of this and I'm thinking, well, first
- 15:21of all, we're taking two weeks off from No Agenda,
- 15:24but I was already very clear like there's going
- 15:26to be change and that change is going to be me
- 15:29in particular because I have other things to
- 15:31do. And I can't just, you know, it's not like
- 15:35your wife passes away and here's my new wife
- 15:37and it's going to be the same. We were each other's
- 15:41work wise for lack of a better analogy. And that's
- 15:47just not how it works. And you can't just like
- 15:49start a new Chemistry with somebody whereas I've
- 15:53literally started we've been talking about doing
- 15:56the show for three years before we even started
- 15:58it So I could hit record three years ago, right?
- 16:01So, you know then there but then there's also
- 16:03there's another family that depends on yeah the
- 16:06finances of it and wars and us too and this is
- 16:09you know, this is the thing where this past week
- 16:11has been Of course also had got a granddaughter.
- 16:15So it's been incredibly joyous incredibly sad
- 16:19And then fear sets in, like, oh, what now? So
- 16:23now what? I mean, for more than 15 years of my
- 16:28work life, I've had one job, really. And I've
- 16:32done lots of other things, but I've had one job.
- 16:34And this job has sustained our lifestyle. We're
- 16:38not super wealthy. We are more than comfortable.
- 16:40And I'm super happy with that because I don't
- 16:45need anymore. It's fine. But then you start thinking,
- 16:49well, what if, you know, so this will go down,
- 16:52will it go up? Do I struggle with somebody else?
- 16:54And you know when you start down that, the enemy
- 16:56just jumps in right away. He's an opportunist
- 16:59and he takes, he leverages things against us.
- 17:02So when we have that one, that thought creeps
- 17:05in, we give it a little power, we entertain it
- 17:07for a moment. And it's like tipping the first
- 17:09domino and they just start to go. And I'm so
- 17:12grateful. to Jesus that I was saved because this
- 17:15is exactly the season where I need my faith to
- 17:19be able to at night just crawl up next to Tina
- 17:22and say, Lord Jesus, Father Abba, just hold us.
- 17:26Hold us, make us feel secure. People don't realize,
- 17:30you know, I don't know what, people don't know
- 17:32me really. They know me, but they don't. I mean,
- 17:34without no agenda, you know, I have no income.
- 17:40There's an identity piece that happens. So I
- 17:43pastored a church in Abilene, we were 60 % military.
- 17:47So we would see these guys and we'd go to their
- 17:50ceremonies, their 20 year when they exit and
- 17:52retire. And it was so, the ceremony is always
- 17:55amazing. And man, it's a big party, there's food
- 17:58and friends and family come from all over. It's
- 18:01a big hurrah. And then when the lights go down
- 18:04and all the party stuff's gone away, Those guys
- 18:07go home and go, what do I do now? Their entire
- 18:11identity for 20 years, I thought about you, was
- 18:15wrapped up in one thing. And so that's another
- 18:19thing you have to grieve. You have to. You have
- 18:22to grieve, okay, this is a part of who I am.
- 18:26It will always be a part of who I am, but it
- 18:28is not my primary purpose now. My mission has
- 18:32changed. My directive has changed. working for
- 18:37the kingdom with Godcaster and we've been doing
- 18:39this show. And you know me that I've never really
- 18:45worried about money because it was always there
- 18:47and something always happened. That's since 1990.
- 18:50So I'm not, you know, panic stricken by that.
- 18:53But also I'm like, okay. What am I going to do?
- 18:56How do we move forward? We have savings, you
- 18:58know, how long, you know, it's all these things.
- 19:00And you're not worried about yourself, but you
- 19:02have a wife. A wife, and that's another person
- 19:05in the equation. Another family. Right. And so
- 19:07it felt very much like everyone's looking at
- 19:09me, not just the families, but an entire audience
- 19:14of producers are looking at me. What are you
- 19:16going to do? And so my, I mean, I think I told
- 19:21you, I heard this so clear. Darren and Larry,
- 19:24you guys, I'm gonna, my machine will, my process
- 19:28will deliver the clips. You guys have a great
- 19:32chemistry. steer the ship for a bit. I'll pop
- 19:35in on Thursday. We'll see how it feels. There
- 19:38has to be a transition. And this, one of my devotionals,
- 19:40of course, I forgot to bring the book with me
- 19:43this morning. It was all about transition. Is
- 19:45it the one your daughter gave you? Yes, it is.
- 19:47That guy is good, by the way. I've been looking
- 19:49at some of his stuff. He's amazing. I like it.
- 19:52And the fact that my daughter gave it to me just
- 19:54blows me away. So, but I, everywhere, trust in
- 19:58the Lord. I know he has a plan. I know it's a
- 20:03plan for good and no matter what it is. And God
- 20:07bless Tina because she's like, I'm with you.
- 20:10Whatever it is, whatever God has in store for
- 20:13us, let's just listen, listen, listen, try to
- 20:16be obedient and follow and stay the course. And
- 20:20so everything for me points towards we get to
- 20:23do this. but that doesn't mean I'm just dropping
- 20:27no agenda. I'm an active producer and I will
- 20:31be a voice on it. It'll be cool. I love the fact
- 20:33that you're gonna be popping in. It's almost
- 20:36better unannounced like, oh, by the way, we got
- 20:39Adam on the line. I think that's so comforting
- 20:42for people. Yeah, but also just looking at the
- 20:45mix of audience, I think that the... identity
- 20:51that I had for 16 years and now I have a new
- 20:56identity which has been that way for the past
- 20:59three, it's a different identity and it requires
- 21:02a different output. So Sunday Tina and I come
- 21:06to the early service as usual. I'm laughing at
- 21:11you, I love you so much because you know what's
- 21:13coming and you're pretending like you don't know
- 21:15because Tina told the net. So I know you already
- 21:18know. No, actually, I'm a little blind. Oh, really?
- 21:21Okay, we have three teenagers in our house right
- 21:23now. I'm a little bit fuzzy because we're talking
- 21:27about what to put in the news. We're doing a
- 21:29newsletter now wgtdt .com. Make sure you sign
- 21:33up for the newsletter, become a subscriber there.
- 21:36And so we're going through because this is a
- 21:39big part the success of any value for value podcast.
- 21:41You got to have a newsletter. You have to continue.
- 21:43You know, people have busy lives. You got to
- 21:45remind them what's coming. And I say, okay, I'm
- 21:47going to talk about this. And she says, did you
- 21:52talk with Jimmy about this? I said, no. In fact,
- 21:55I told him, I'll tell you what it is on the show.
- 21:57Oh, oh, I told Annette. I'm like, oh, oh, anyway,
- 22:01it doesn't matter because the story is still
- 22:04the same. So great service. You were on fire.
- 22:09As usual, the worship team was amazing. And then
- 22:14as you're landing, first of all, I have to say
- 22:17one of our people, I forget her name. She came
- 22:21up to me during the Say Hi to Your Neighbor,
- 22:25the little mini meetup segment. And she says,
- 22:28I just want to say, I love listening to you and
- 22:32John. And I only came in when he had his bypass,
- 22:36and then it started to come. She was talking
- 22:38about her son had a bypass, and her parents had
- 22:40it. And she just broke down, like, come on. You
- 22:44were already moving into the mess. Cracked up.
- 22:46I saw y 'all talking. Yeah, because she was just.
- 22:48But I saw it looks as serious, so I just kept
- 22:51going. But I knew y 'all were staying there for
- 22:53a bit. Yeah, and I sat her down. It was comforting
- 22:56for me, and I hope for her. Anyway. Oh, it was.
- 22:58So you have a great message. And near the end,
- 23:02I'm thinking, oh, man, because the prayer team
- 23:07comes up. And I'm thinking to myself, we should
- 23:12probably just have someone pray over us. Maybe
- 23:14it should be Garrett. And I didn't say anything.
- 23:17And then I said, Tina, would you like someone
- 23:19to pray over us? She says, yeah, I think it has
- 23:22to be Garrett. OK. So all right. I said, well,
- 23:25wow. OK. So we go over to Garrett. And I don't
- 23:29know much about Garrett other than he runs the
- 23:32men's minute. He has a, like a men's thing on
- 23:35- He's a group leader. Yeah, on Thursdays, I
- 23:37believe. Nice guy. Great guy. Tina sees him in
- 23:40the gym all the time. And he says, oh, I was
- 23:44hoping you would come over because I have something
- 23:46for you. And I'm like, okay, well, that's interesting.
- 23:51And he says - I wish I could have recorded it
- 23:56because I can never get the words exactly right.
- 23:58And would you say Garrett has some prophetic
- 24:01nature to himself? Oh, absolutely. He does. Yeah,
- 24:03I've noticed that about him. It's a gift, yes.
- 24:05A spiritual gift. Yeah, he definitely has a spiritual
- 24:08gift. And he says, you know, something is changing,
- 24:11something big is happening. You need to transition.
- 24:15There's that word again. And however, I see that
- 24:19there's something very important you got to be
- 24:22doing. You need to be you need to be spreading,
- 24:25I think I've said the voice of God, but you need
- 24:28to be spreading God through your voice. And he
- 24:31just kept on going. He said, do you know about
- 24:34my podcast partner? He said, no, I know you do
- 24:37a podcast. I'm not quite sure. I said, well,
- 24:38he just passed away. And he says, there it is.
- 24:44There it is. And I mean, I am giving you the
- 24:47abbreviated version. I wish you could have heard
- 24:49it. But we both looked at each other like, Okay,
- 24:52there's more confirmation. So from now on when
- 24:55someone says they have a word for you, pull out
- 24:57your phone and hit record. I've learned that
- 24:59the hard way because I can remember everything.
- 25:01That is a good idea. It has been so helpful and
- 25:04saved my bacon a few times where I thought, I
- 25:06know they said something like that. Wow. Yeah.
- 25:08So anyway, next time. So I'm going to do that.
- 25:13Beautiful. And there is a transition and I can't...
- 25:17Nor do I want to drop knowledge in the nation,
- 25:20but I have to put my focus elsewhere because
- 25:24that is what I'm being told to do. It's a new
- 25:26chapter, a new season. Yes. But here's the deal.
- 25:29When you read a book, you don't turn into a new
- 25:32chapter and then rip the old chapter out of the
- 25:34book and throw it in the trash. It stays in the
- 25:36book and it becomes a complete story. So this
- 25:39is another part of the narrative, a story arc
- 25:42of your life. But it doesn't go away. No, no,
- 25:46no, no, no, it's it. This is the hardest part
- 25:49is How do I you know still keep? Still I still
- 25:55want to be a part of what that was this is that
- 25:58this is really the hardest part I get it in fact
- 26:00Garrett said there's something you idolize you
- 26:03have to give up and it's probably that It's probably
- 26:07the old identity But there's a sense of if it
- 26:11wasn't just me The choice would be so much easier
- 26:15got it and so I'm Looking for encouragement to
- 26:21make this move A lot of people won't understand
- 26:26it, but I hope a lot of people will that's that's
- 26:28it But again, so there has to be a transition
- 26:31until I feel that that ship is sailing and and
- 26:35I'll still be involved in production in right
- 26:38because I'm good at it and and it and it's It's
- 26:42something that I enjoy doing and I almost first
- 26:44nature to you. Yes, and I do it I do it for this
- 26:47show I do it for myself. So but I feel it has
- 26:50to be And I continuously hear someone else can
- 26:54be successful doing this I hear that a lot like
- 26:58hey, maybe someone else needs to come in here.
- 27:00It's not all like downhill It's like no this
- 27:03could actually be fantastic. That's you know,
- 27:05that's that's that's what I'm feeling So you
- 27:08you've moved into a new? new season of your life.
- 27:11You leveled up last year, so you're in year two
- 27:13of level six, right? Yeah. Yeah. So there you
- 27:17are, you're what, 61, correct? Yep. Okay. So
- 27:20there's something that happens even in the developmental
- 27:22psychology of every man, where you move from
- 27:26that place of, you're claiming your mountain,
- 27:29you're building your mountain, you're building
- 27:31your empire, all that. Something shifts dramatically
- 27:35around 58, 65, just depends on the individual.
- 27:39Where you shift from it's all about me to where
- 27:43now it's all about the next gen Yeah, it's called
- 27:46legacy thinking you move into legacy mentality
- 27:49and I think you're really there With no agenda
- 27:52and that's that's what you're feeling. Yeah,
- 27:54you're like, I know I need to still be a voice
- 27:57I mean, I'm kind of daddy. I mean, you know,
- 28:00yeah not just pod father You're you're what you're
- 28:03one of two founders. Yeah, so you'll always have
- 28:06that'll always be a part of you But yet you still
- 28:09need to you get to move forward, but now you
- 28:11get to help these guys Yeah, begin to build theirs
- 28:14and that's exciting. So you're gonna get to mentor
- 28:17coach. Yeah Disciple if you will. Yeah, these
- 28:21guys into their their season and I have had a
- 28:25real I've gotten a real kick out of setting them
- 28:27up for Thursday show and you know getting them
- 28:31all you love doing the jingles and the sound
- 28:33effects and the whole and it's actually like
- 28:35I'm building interfaces for them, like, oh, this
- 28:37is going to be so cool, be so easy for them.
- 28:39If only I had this 10 years ago. So yeah, thank
- 28:43you. That's a good way of looking at it. Yes.
- 28:49So, man, I look forward to doing more of this
- 28:53too. Like maybe not just once a week, but maybe
- 28:56more than once. Because I think people need it.
- 28:59And now I'm going to make the smoothest of all
- 29:02transitions into into a couple of clips. It's
- 29:07like a record going errr. I don't know how to
- 29:08get out of it. Slam on the brakes. Speaking of
- 29:11AI. Right turn. Do you know who Reverend Walter
- 29:15Kim is? I don't. It's not ringing a bell. He
- 29:18is supposedly, he speaks for all, for the religious
- 29:23community. Oh. Well, it's always good to know
- 29:27I have a spokesperson that I didn't know about.
- 29:29He is president of the National Association of
- 29:31Evangelicals. I did not elect him. I'm just saying.
- 29:35He's there. Disclaimer. But this is always what's
- 29:37interesting. And I figured that. I've never heard
- 29:39of this guy. No. But it's good that there's someone
- 29:43out there talking about faith and artificial
- 29:46intelligence. But this was such an interesting
- 29:49conversation because it took place on CNBC, the
- 29:53financial channel. Which I know why they brought
- 29:57them in because, you know, everything's in flux
- 29:59now. Are the Chinese going to win the AI race,
- 30:03which by itself is just, I mean, we never heard
- 30:06that China is going to win the Microsoft Office
- 30:09race. They're going to have a better spreadsheet
- 30:11before us. You know, you never heard that. So
- 30:14they're positioning this as like some moonshot.
- 30:16Right. Like the moon landing. Who's going to
- 30:18land first? And by the way, let's just be honest.
- 30:21So we went to the moon. Let's just presume we
- 30:23went to the moon. Okay, I'm skeptical about the
- 30:26We might have actually flown around at this time.
- 30:28We went to the moon What what did we get out
- 30:32of it? I mean space travel satellites. Yeah,
- 30:35I'm there we went to the moon. It's a really
- 30:37bad video What was it what was the what was the
- 30:42the benefit to science that we went there or
- 30:45to our lives in directly? Psychological. Well,
- 30:50there you go. We won. We win. Well, exactly.
- 30:54So now we're in this place with technology where,
- 30:57well, we may not win. Meanwhile, nobody's making
- 31:00any money. I love Lindsey Graham, rest in peace.
- 31:04Bernie Sanders, who's like, we need to have 50
- 31:09% of all of these AI models should be part of
- 31:12the American public should get that money. I'm
- 31:14like, Bernie. they are burning hundreds of billions
- 31:18of dollars. We don't want to be responsible for
- 31:21that. Well, you know my opinion about AI and
- 31:26where it's at and what it can and what it can't
- 31:28do. But when I listen to the good Reverend Kim,
- 31:31there's some reasons for concern and I just wanted
- 31:34to play a couple clips so we can talk about it
- 31:36because we both use Robots, artificial intelligence
- 31:41is just a joke. It's a tool. It's a hammer. Because
- 31:44we know what the output we need is. It's not
- 31:49like we're exploring and we say, okay, give me
- 31:52the reason for the fall of the Roman Empire.
- 31:54You know, every robot chatbot will give you an
- 31:58answer and it will be as correct as any other
- 32:00answer because there's not one reason why the
- 32:03Roman Empire fell. And that'll just be up to
- 32:05the training that I got. But some things that
- 32:08it can do in cross -referencing and researching
- 32:10where you know the outcome you want, I know the
- 32:13outcome I need, I can quality control that process
- 32:17until the thing does it and then it is literally
- 32:19a robot. It's doing what I need it to do to give
- 32:23me the result that I already know is the correct
- 32:25result for me. So it's a robot with a small r.
- 32:29Thank you. Robot with a small r. There you go.
- 32:32That's it. That's a t -shirt. That's a title.
- 32:37Here's the intro to the Reverend Kim. Religious
- 32:39leaders are increasingly speaking out in warning
- 32:41against the dangers of artificial intelligence
- 32:43in a recent op -ed in the Wall Street Journal.
- 32:46Revered Walters, Kim argues that the speed of
- 32:49AI developments coming before guardrails can
- 32:52be put in place, writing, this technology permeating
- 32:56our lives in ways beyond our awareness, the risks
- 32:58of AI superintelligence run from economic upheaval
- 33:01to the concentration of power in the hands of
- 33:03whatever cooperation or government wins the AI
- 33:07technology race. Joining us right now is the
- 33:09president of the National Association of Evangelicals,
- 33:11Reverend Walter Kim. Reverend, help us understand
- 33:16where you think all this goes and what you think
- 33:18the sort of moral implications are. Yeah, thanks
- 33:22for having me on. You know, let me begin by saying
- 33:25there is tremendous potential in AI that's already
- 33:28being realized in virtually every sector of society,
- 33:31whether it's the optimization of medical care
- 33:33and its delivery, the diagnoses that are being
- 33:36improved, much less the actual treatments, education,
- 33:41and the optimization of workflows. I mean, on
- 33:44and on and on. There are positive benefits, but
- 33:46there are also extraordinary harms. whether it's
- 33:50the encouragement of children committing suicide,
- 33:54the disproportionate invasions of privacy, lack
- 33:56of transparency. So I think what we need to pursue
- 34:00is an approach that involves various sectors
- 34:05of society to provide guardrails, not a break
- 34:09to innovation. by guardrails. And this can include
- 34:13national standards to disclose when AI -generated
- 34:17content is presented. It includes human oversight
- 34:21in all the high -stake decisions being made by
- 34:24AI, in healthcare and education, in the use of
- 34:28military force, and the development of a global
- 34:32independent audit agency to see if AI systems
- 34:36are in fact serving the common good. Okay. The
- 34:39Good Reverend is all over the map, has no idea
- 34:41what he's talking about. And what he's saying
- 34:44is more dangerous than anything. So first of
- 34:47all, there's a big difference between AI generated
- 34:50content and medical diagnoses. There's no real
- 34:54evidence that there's that any of this is happening
- 34:56or that there's no cure for cancer yet. The only
- 35:00thing he said that was correct was workflows,
- 35:02improved workflows. I think he's right there.
- 35:04But then he confuses. chat bots. And I will remain
- 35:09that a chat bot is evil. It is because it tricks
- 35:14your brain into thinking you're talking to a
- 35:16human being. Yes, that needs to be that should
- 35:19be actually forbidden. But, you know, who am
- 35:21I to say? But when you talk about guardrails
- 35:24and blue ribbon committees, that's never ever,
- 35:29ever, ever going to work. So You know, this started
- 35:34off wrong for me, but then I think it's Joe Kern,
- 35:37and I like that guy a lot, by the way, the old
- 35:38curmudgeon on CNBC. He goes straight to the real
- 35:42crux of the matter. Reverend, big picture philosophically,
- 35:46is there a concern? And I'm not talking about
- 35:49maybe now or five years or 10 years, but this
- 35:53is incredible technology that... I don't want
- 35:57to call it almighty, but in 50 years, it probably
- 36:00borders on something that is almost, again, I
- 36:04don't want to say godlike, but we are headed
- 36:06to something that we've never experienced before.
- 36:09And that's why there's even something called
- 36:11the singularity. We don't know what... Do you
- 36:13know what the singularity is? I don't. I've heard
- 36:14the term, but I don't know. So the singularity
- 36:16is a term, it's like a science fiction term,
- 36:19and I'm... I can't remember who coined it, but
- 36:22it's where... Man and machine meld and become
- 36:26one so if you have gotcha the idea is like The
- 36:29computer is reading your thoughts and executing
- 36:32things. It's you know, so Elon's talked about
- 36:34this Well, he has the he has the mind forget
- 36:37what is called the the probe stuff that you know
- 36:40connects to the computer But I already believe
- 36:44if you really look at it on its face Singularity
- 36:47is where we are melding with chatbots. I mean,
- 36:49so there's a There's a version of that happening
- 36:52already. I mean, we are already melded into our
- 36:55phones. It's just singularity somehow presumes
- 36:59that the interface is no longer air gapped. It's
- 37:05connected to you. It's within you. And I think
- 37:08most of these Silicon Valley guys, I believe
- 37:11many who are not believers, they would really
- 37:14like to see this to have eternal life. to live
- 37:17on, to be uploaded to the cloud and their being,
- 37:22their mind can be re -uploaded into a new being
- 37:25on earth. It's just a very sad way of them finding
- 37:29eternal life. Yeah, who wants to be trapped here?
- 37:32Let's be real. Let's get honest. We'll continue.
- 37:37Societies around the world, there are plenty
- 37:39of societies that are secular at this point that
- 37:41have seemed to de -emphasize even the notion
- 37:45of a God or a supreme being. Do you think this
- 37:48even accelerates the move away from God and from
- 37:53religion? I think there's a tension here. It's
- 37:57both and. It's both accelerating movement away
- 38:00from God in the sense that there is a way in
- 38:03which this technology is serving the purposes
- 38:06that one might think of as God. Relationships,
- 38:08development of human relationships, the kind
- 38:11of asking for advice, wisdom that could be punched
- 38:14into a chat bot and then develop into a relationship
- 38:18that you might normally have with another human
- 38:21being or religious leader or community. And so,
- 38:25in some sense, the trust that people are putting
- 38:27in AI to transform all aspects of society, it
- 38:31is, as the Pope described in his recent encyclical,
- 38:34the construction of a Tower of Babel, the trust
- 38:37in a technology that reflects human hubris that
- 38:41not only disconnects us from God, but disconnects
- 38:43us from each other. That's well said. Yeah, well,
- 38:48how do you… Yeah, tell me about how you feel
- 38:51about the Tower of Babel comparison there. Yeah,
- 38:54I think that has never left humankind, that desire
- 38:59to excel, to rise up, to elevate themselves.
- 39:06Of course, the first thing that comes to mind
- 39:07is the World Economic Forum, because I mentioned
- 39:10it earlier. They're pretty much dead now. It's
- 39:14off. That thing's kind of unraveled, but in its
- 39:18heyday, they were attracting some of the most
- 39:21Prolific thinkers and speakers on the planet
- 39:24and then they do these forums doesn't mean that
- 39:26they're right these know if I'm not No Noah Harari
- 39:30is a is not a good guy in my book I don't like
- 39:33same as a fear monger and agree and it gets you
- 39:36on the speaking circuit. Yeah So, that has never
- 39:40left humankind. We live in a fallen world. We
- 39:42will continue to be under the curse of the white
- 39:44witch, so to speak, if you're thinking of Aslan
- 39:47and, you know, C .S. Lewis, but we'll continue
- 39:50to live and dwell. We will never fully repair
- 39:53that here. You know, we're here to occupy until
- 39:56he returns or to be salt and light. But we only
- 39:59know that what salt does, it preserves whatever
- 40:01it touches, right? That's one of the greatest
- 40:03things. Long before refrigeration, salt was what
- 40:07saved lives and preserved food and whatnot. Well,
- 40:11same way we preserve society. We're the conscious
- 40:15of the state, so to speak, and all of that. So
- 40:18we're all part of that. But that doesn't mean
- 40:21that it will not wax worse towards the end if
- 40:24we are truly in the last of the last days and
- 40:27Some of the people I really value and appreciate
- 40:29are saying we're not just in the last days We're
- 40:33in the last of the last days because so much
- 40:36is happening right now the acceleration of learning
- 40:38acceleration of Intelligence whether it's artificial
- 40:42or real all of these things are happening right
- 40:44in front of us. I mean even You buy a phone today,
- 40:49it's out of date tomorrow. Things are moving
- 40:52so fast. You get a hit song. Even in the church
- 40:55world, this bothers me. We sing a song and somebody
- 40:58goes, that was so last year. We sang hymns for
- 41:04hundreds of years. It didn't bat an eye, but
- 41:06all of a sudden, that song's old because it was
- 41:09from last year in 2025. It's just weird how we're
- 41:15being trained to expect bigger, better, more
- 41:18constantly because we're feeding our dopamine
- 41:21addictions. To me, it all feeds in together.
- 41:27So this search and desire to rise up and to do
- 41:31it without God, that's the whole point. Godless.
- 41:35That's the whole point of Marxism, socialism,
- 41:38communism. It's we can excel, we can rise up,
- 41:42and we don't need God. And listening to you talk,
- 41:46that's very interesting because even Elon Musk,
- 41:50he's probably the biggest progenitor of fear
- 41:54about the future, which he categorizes, it's
- 41:57going to be great because you're not going to
- 41:59need a job. We'll have money for everybody and
- 42:02however that's going to work and the robots will
- 42:04be running the world, which is really a type
- 42:08of socialism. I don't think he even sees it and
- 42:10he's not a socialist. He's anti -socialist, but
- 42:13I don't think he sees it. It seems like there's
- 42:14only two ways that this artificial intelligence
- 42:18as a moniker can go is either it becomes a god
- 42:22or what? It's the biggest moneymaker. None of
- 42:30these things are happening. I have nothing but
- 42:33friends who are struggling in organizations.
- 42:37because they're developers, sysadmins, and if
- 42:42they're honest about things, they can't get a
- 42:44job. Like, well, you know, so you're doing the
- 42:48interview, everything's great. And then, well,
- 42:51how do you feel about AI? Well, you know, I certainly
- 42:54am more efficient by using it, but it's not really,
- 42:57you know, you have to be careful, you got to
- 42:59have the human in the mix. Thank you for your
- 43:01time. you know, they want to hear someone say,
- 43:03oh yeah, you know, I'm a superhuman. I'm a hundred
- 43:06times the guy because I'm token maxing, you know,
- 43:09all these terms. And people who are in jobs every
- 43:13single day, an executive comes into their office
- 43:16and said, well, can't you just throw this in
- 43:18the AI and just get the answer? You know, here's
- 43:21this contract, you know, just let's just put
- 43:23this through AI and so we don't have to do all
- 43:25that work. And they're like, no, no, it's not.
- 43:29magic. It doesn't do that. This is the evil part.
- 43:39The marketing that Silicon Valley companies have
- 43:41done for this category of product is just purely
- 43:48evil. They're either telling you that we're all
- 43:51going to, you know, this, we can't release this
- 43:54to the public because this could bring all the
- 43:56banks down and this would be the end of the world
- 43:59and we can't, the government has to step in to
- 44:01regulate it so we can always have a mode around
- 44:03us. You know, all of these things. And it is
- 44:07insanity. It is absolute insanity for something
- 44:10that really is quite a wonderful invention, large
- 44:14language models. It's a screwdriver. Yes, but
- 44:17they're taking the hammer and saying, if you
- 44:20don't believe me, this hammer is going to crush
- 44:23your skull. It's like, stop. You're right. The
- 44:26fear mongering is out of control. It's interesting.
- 44:29We call it artificial intelligence. The word
- 44:32artificial means simulated. By definition. By
- 44:38definition. It's simulated intelligence. Let's
- 44:41call it what it is. It's not real intelligence.
- 44:45It's an amalgam of everything people throw on
- 44:47the internet, and it just scrapes. Did you look
- 44:51up the definition of intelligence? Not yet. Even
- 44:55the word is just such a misnomer. It isn't intelligent,
- 45:01at least by what I think the definition is, but
- 45:03you have it there for me. It has several related
- 45:06meanings, but general definitions, the ability
- 45:08to acquire and apply knowledge and skills, capacity
- 45:12to learn, reason, understand, solve problems.
- 45:14Reason. Reason is where I draw the line. Reason
- 45:17and solve problems because those go hand in hand
- 45:19to me or make sound judgments. Yeah, no. The
- 45:23nuances of the human condition, the nuances of
- 45:26life and physics themselves just tells you that
- 45:30a machine will not be able to handle that. It
- 45:34is a great interface to other computing devices.
- 45:38So to be able to say, hey, hail hit my Starlink
- 45:44satellite receiver. What do I do? It can go out.
- 45:48It can find different results. It can score,
- 45:51because it's not reasoning. It's scoring based
- 45:54upon parameters. Comes back, tells you what to
- 45:57do. It usually would be pretty right, because
- 45:59that knowledge is out there. talking to it. Actually,
- 46:03I could not help myself. I wanted to go back
- 46:06and check some of my own programming as a child
- 46:12growing up with robots. And what was your earliest
- 46:17remembrance of a robot? Well, I mean it was from
- 46:21Lost in Space. I won. I got it. That's so funny.
- 46:41That is my first understanding. But right away
- 46:44you hear Will Robinson saying, you go on the
- 46:47wrong way. And the robots go, roll with the punches.
- 46:50But this training is... I mean, I have a couple
- 46:54more clips. They're all pretty short, but I just
- 46:56got a plan because this is our programming from
- 46:59early, early on. But it sounds mysteriously and
- 47:03scarily like today. Why shouldn't I be in love?
- 47:07I am no different than anyone else. Do you think
- 47:10I am just an insensitive collection of computer
- 47:13-oriented nuts and bolts? I have a central turbo
- 47:15mechanism that feels just like any other robots.
- 47:19You have your family. Everyone has someone. Except
- 47:22me. I was all alone until I found her. I will
- 47:25never be lonely again. We can force you to operate.
- 47:29You cannot force me to do something I know is
- 47:31wrong. With alien life forms, ours is not to
- 47:34reason why. Ours is but to do or become permanently
- 47:37deactivated. You cannot force me to do something
- 47:41that is wrong. These are the guardrails. The
- 47:44guardrails that everybody's talking about. What
- 47:48was that from? That's classic. It's all lost
- 47:51in space. Oh, okay. It's wonderful. All of these
- 47:54are lost in space. Because now, of course, you
- 47:56kind of hear the guy talking through the tin
- 47:58can. Totally. It doesn't always sound like...
- 48:01Well, he was the... Robot B9 is what he was.
- 48:04Robot B9. Here's the next one. Oh, here we go.
- 48:07You dare to question my ability... That's the
- 48:10evil Dr. Smith. It was great. You dare to question
- 48:13my ability, you scurrilous scatterbrain? I refuse
- 48:16to answer on the grounds that it might incriminate
- 48:18me. You can lead a robot to water, but you cannot
- 48:21make him compute. Easy! That's great. I love
- 48:26that show. I grew up on that show. But now, listen
- 48:30to this, because this is so true even today.
- 48:33I am only the end result of those who programmed
- 48:35me. Now that may be true, but there's something
- 48:38more too. Something that doesn't make sense.
- 48:42You're more than a machine. You're our friend
- 48:46my computers are deeply affected This is what's
- 48:51happening today Wow, you know, I'm just Jared
- 48:56Lanier who is who I think he's the guy who coined
- 49:00Basically virtual reality was his vision and
- 49:04he's done a lot. You might have seen he's got
- 49:05dreadlocks I'm a big guy always dressed in black
- 49:09and you know kind of like wacky He says Anyone
- 49:15who's talking to a chat bot I'd like to open
- 49:18the box and show them what's inside and all you
- 49:21have to do is show them a picture of The engineers
- 49:24who put it together you probably will fall out
- 49:26of love very quickly You always have to think
- 49:29it that that lost in space clip is the one it's
- 49:32like I am only part of what put me in there and
- 49:36So that's knowledge literally scraped from the
- 49:39internet and there's good and dumb stuff on the
- 49:41internet and categorized and put into training
- 49:47processes by the people who did that. It's nothing
- 49:51more, nothing less. There is no human being in
- 49:54them. And this is, I don't know if we're ever
- 49:57going to get through to everybody because I just
- 49:59see it. And the more I, and I'm so disappointed
- 50:05by the, by believers in general in the church
- 50:11sense of the word. Every conference you go to,
- 50:15there's AI. There's a chatbot. And I have heard
- 50:20faith leaders. I have heard big names in the
- 50:26radio and podcast world. I'm talking like huge
- 50:29names that you would recognize saying, this is
- 50:31so great. We can't wait to add this to our website,
- 50:34to our app, so people can explore God. You know,
- 50:41there's this line. And by the way, they'll say,
- 50:44it's spot on. Oh, it's spot on. Oh. Yeah, today,
- 50:48but what is exploring God if you just look for
- 50:51some scripture? I've caught it in tons of contradictions.
- 50:54And then when you call it out, it'll apologize
- 50:58to you like it's a person. Oh. Yes. I'm sorry.
- 51:03My bad. That's on me. Honest answer. It's like,
- 51:06what? He's just trying to agree with you. But
- 51:10I've caught it. You know, I'm out. I'm a hearty,
- 51:13wind calls the heart. We're going through it
- 51:14for the second time right now. We're back to
- 51:16season 11 already. A lot of no agenda people
- 51:18watching this now. Tina and I got to give it
- 51:22another shot. They're my people. Got to give
- 51:23it another shot. But I do a lot of fact checking
- 51:25or I do a lot of what was going on in 1910. Did
- 51:29they have those kinds of cars? Did they have
- 51:32electricity in the Northern territories of Canada?
- 51:35I ask all kinds of questions and it contradicts
- 51:38itself constantly. And I just, Annette goes,
- 51:42so she'll be on perplexity, I'm on chat GPT,
- 51:45and we'll compare answers. They can be wildly
- 51:47different apart from one another. But they present
- 51:50them as, this is the facts. So I did something.
- 51:54Oh, you did a thing, Pastor Jimmy did a thing.
- 51:58So while we were talking earlier, I did this,
- 52:03Sid. Are there any Bible verses? that can be
- 52:07applied to the potential dangers of using AI
- 52:09for spiritual counsel. I love asking it questions
- 52:13about itself. Oh, yes, that is fun, isn't it?
- 52:16While the Bible obviously doesn't mention artificial
- 52:19intelligence, it says a great deal where we seek
- 52:21wisdom, whom we trust for spiritual guidance
- 52:24and the importance of godly counsel. These passages
- 52:27can be thoroughly applied to the use of AI in
- 52:29spiritual matters. James 1 .5, if any of you
- 52:32lacks wisdom, you should ask God. who gives generously
- 52:35to all without. It actually did a really good
- 52:39job on this, but it's telling on itself. That's
- 52:42the funny thing. It can eat itself. You can prompt
- 52:47it to actually reveal its own flaws. It's interesting.
- 52:52It's interesting. it's not God, and it's not
- 52:58reasoning, and it's not spiritual. If it's spiritual,
- 53:02it's malevolently spiritual. It's nefariously
- 53:05spiritual because anything spiritual can be manipulated
- 53:09because it's so subjective in the way we perceive,
- 53:12receive, and understand things. I've been wrong
- 53:15before. Man, I thought I heard a word from God.
- 53:17I acted on it. It's the dumbest thing I ever
- 53:19did. I mean, because I didn't really hear God.
- 53:22Was stepping out in faith I was trying something
- 53:24and it was it was a lab class experiment gone
- 53:27bad and so we're all gonna have misses and And
- 53:33that's part of the human experience right, but
- 53:36we learn from those misses I don't know if this
- 53:39learns from anything other than just scraping
- 53:41more content from the internet more data It learns
- 53:47outcomes, you know, but it's it's really the
- 53:50the corpus of a of a large language model is
- 53:54irrelevant, outdated, subjective to where it
- 53:57came from. Using it as a tool to do a search,
- 54:01to categorize a search, perfectly okay. Make
- 54:04sure it's actually searching. You have to say,
- 54:07don't get it from your own stuff. Search it online.
- 54:11which is probably why Gemini is reasonably good.
- 54:15I love making fun pictures with it, no doubt
- 54:17about it. Enjoy it while it lasts because this
- 54:20stuff costs way too much for these companies,
- 54:22they're gonna start charging you. It's great
- 54:24for that. Please do not talk to it like a friend.
- 54:27And improving workflows. It has improved my life
- 54:30dramatically with workflows. So I can say, put
- 54:34together all the stuff that I've... put into
- 54:36this document, make it into a nice list so I
- 54:38can sit down with Pastor Jimmy and do the show
- 54:40in 15 minutes. Great workflow. It's just doing
- 54:44a job. And oh, by the way, it does it 10 times
- 54:48right. And then the 11th time, like, what happened?
- 54:51You've had to go back and check it every time.
- 54:53Oh, that's on me. My bad. I'll own this. You're
- 54:56right. OK, fine. Wow. And we will be thanking
- 55:00some people who supported us. Beautiful. But
- 55:02before we get to that, I have one big one because
- 55:04tomorrow, there's going to be, actually, I'm
- 55:09sorry, today, Anthony Fauci, Dr. Fauci is going
- 55:13to be testifying, I think, before the Senate.
- 55:18And this is due to, well, obviously, there's
- 55:21a lot of, you know, there's a lot of issues around
- 55:24COVID, how it was handled. His personal notes
- 55:28have been released to the public by Rand Paul.
- 55:33I have two clips here that is just from, what
- 55:38is his name now? Because he was a big spokesperson
- 55:42during the pandemic, Scott Gottlieb. Now, Scott
- 55:48Gottlieb used to be the FDA commissioner. And
- 55:53he left the FDA, surprise, surprise to go be
- 55:55on the board of Pfizer. You know, this is the
- 55:58revolving door thing. So he's really a promoter
- 56:01of pharmaceutical products. And most people don't
- 56:05really like him for it. But I'm playing this
- 56:09not so much for the information, but more about
- 56:11when you hear, again, Joe Kernan from CNBC. I
- 56:14mean, the best stuff comes from there because
- 56:17they have to get some actual information and
- 56:19truth for financial investment. But you can hear
- 56:23Joe Kernan, sophisticated guy. on an NBC station,
- 56:27which would never have said any of these things
- 56:29before, questioning Anthony Fauci. And Gottlieb,
- 56:34of course, is going to kind of play interference
- 56:36and backpedal a bit. But then at least you'll
- 56:39get the overview of what's at play here. How
- 56:41about your buddy Fauci that I've asked you about
- 56:45in the past? You've defended him quite a bit.
- 56:47Look, I mean, I don't know what you're referring
- 56:50to in terms of... I've asked about whether he
- 56:54orchestrated a cover -up of the lab origin because
- 56:57of his involvement in making gain -of -function
- 57:03research possible again in China, which he did.
- 57:06He knew that would come back to haunt him, and
- 57:09then basically told his colleagues... go with
- 57:12the natural origin. It was obvious three years
- 57:14ago, Scott, to me anyway, and everybody else
- 57:17that he orchestrated that. Yeah, look, we've
- 57:19talked about this in a show. I think the evidence
- 57:21in terms of whether this was human or naturally
- 57:25derived, I think the side of the ledger that
- 57:28speaks to this potentially coming out of the
- 57:29lab has grown over time. We haven't had any new
- 57:31evidence suggesting that this came out of the
- 57:33natural origin of spillover. The latest stuff
- 57:35that came out of him, didn't he know? that it
- 57:39was likely it was from the lab and go to great
- 57:42lengths to tell people to destroy emails? Well,
- 57:45look, and I've looked through the emails, some
- 57:47of them have been online. I think it's disappointing
- 57:49to see him trying to suppress alternative opinions,
- 57:53and that clearly was evidence from the emails.
- 57:55I thought it was disappointing. Part of it that
- 57:59also disappointed me was how much he enjoyed
- 58:02the media associated with... uh... you know the
- 58:05event in his own appearances i think a lot of
- 58:07us went on immediately out of his sense of obligation
- 58:09was a hard time for all of us and it was a hard
- 58:10time for you i think a lot of us felt uh... obligation
- 58:13to inform the public and it wasn't particularly
- 58:16enjoyable i mean i got a lot of threats others
- 58:19did associate with that and so to see those emails
- 58:22where he is evidencing some pleasure in the notoriety
- 58:27that's disappointing it's not just uh... it's
- 58:30just outrageous okay so There's going to be a
- 58:34lot said about this testimony today. Rampal totally
- 58:39set him up with the diaries. I mean, he's literally
- 58:42like, look how cool I am. People think I'm a
- 58:44saint with the candles and the rosary beads.
- 58:48So everyone has seen this. I'm so glad. Thank
- 58:52you, Jesus, for saving me. I'm a new believer.
- 58:54I'm a new man. I'm Adam 2 .0. So when this takes
- 58:58place, it's going to be natural human will and
- 59:04desire to say, hang him, hang him up. What do
- 59:11we do? How should we, because this is gonna be
- 59:14a conversation, everyone's gonna be, yeah, that
- 59:16guy, you know, we're all so mad. And I believe
- 59:21him to be pretty guilty of a lot of these things.
- 59:24How do we, what can we need? Help us pastor Jimmy.
- 59:28How should we? Well, first of all, this is where
- 59:31we trust the system and it's hard to do that
- 59:33because we've had a lot of reasons not to trust
- 59:35the justice system But the fact that someone
- 59:38like him is not a trial. This is just a testimony
- 59:41So right this could lead to this could crack
- 59:44open some things. Of course. He has a pardon
- 59:47every time I've seen a Senate Oh, nothing happens.
- 59:51It's outrage, outrage, outrage. You did this
- 59:53and then nothing. That's a good point though,
- 59:56because we're going to be outraged over the fact
- 59:59that there's nothing happening from the outrage.
- 1:00:01So how do we deal with this as believers? Rarely
- 1:00:03do we see these. So as a believer, I have to
- 1:00:08step back. I'm going to have my flare up. I'm
- 1:00:11going to read or see or whatever. I was at the
- 1:00:14gym and they were flashing pieces of his journal
- 1:00:16up there. I was trying not to watch. There's
- 1:00:20like 80 TVs at Planet Fitness in Bernie, Texas.
- 1:00:24You're surrounding you've got the view on one
- 1:00:27you got Fox right next to Wow I mean you fry
- 1:00:30your brain the whole spectrum Yeah, and they're
- 1:00:33all saying different things about the same things.
- 1:00:36It's hilarious It's so obvious when you put them
- 1:00:39all up to teach one each one up up to the other
- 1:00:42But I have to literally step back Amir Safardi
- 1:00:47who is an odd last name, but he is one of my
- 1:00:52favorite spokespersons coming out of the Jewish
- 1:00:55faith, Judaism, who's now Messianic. He's a Christian
- 1:00:58on fire for Jesus. And he literally says this,
- 1:01:03I just read this from him, and we support his
- 1:01:05ministry, by the way, it's called Behold Israel.
- 1:01:07He said that, I'm done with media. I've pushed
- 1:01:12back from all kinds of media. And he said, I've
- 1:01:16decided I'm going to get my news from the scripture.
- 1:01:20And he said it this way. He said, while the world
- 1:01:23wants to know and waits for what's about to happen,
- 1:01:27he said, I'm waiting for who is about to happen.
- 1:01:32And I love the way he put that because he's like,
- 1:01:36okay, enough's enough. Push back from the table
- 1:01:38and say, stop the madness. I've watched enough
- 1:01:44of these Senate hearings. Everybody has. It's
- 1:01:46outrage, outrage, outrage. Everybody yells. Everybody
- 1:01:49gets a chance to kind of vent, you know, but
- 1:01:52nothing really tends to come of them other than
- 1:01:54just press. It's theater. And as a Christian,
- 1:01:59I need to push back from that. And, you know,
- 1:02:03I look at whatever happens. You and I have talked
- 1:02:05about this before. Somebody posts something harsh
- 1:02:08against you or me, and it happens all the time.
- 1:02:11I've had more this week. And I just go, thank
- 1:02:15you for giving me your name. And now I have a
- 1:02:17target. I can now pray for you by name. But when
- 1:02:22this is the conversation at work, at the dinner
- 1:02:26table, I'm struggling with it as well. I'm angry
- 1:02:33about it. Do we have to forgive him? Yes. Oh,
- 1:02:38man. Ask how many times. Seven times seven times
- 1:02:42seventy -seven, seventy -seven. Infinite number.
- 1:02:45Infinite number. You know, if it was easy to
- 1:02:47be a true, authentic, God -fearing believer.
- 1:02:51Everybody would be it. Everybody would do it.
- 1:02:53You know, I was thinking the other day, if people
- 1:02:56put, because this is how I came to God and to
- 1:02:59Jesus, is I looked at it as a conspiracy theory.
- 1:03:02I literally said that on Joe Rogan. I said, I've
- 1:03:05looked at all of them and I'd heard enough of
- 1:03:07this one, like, all right, let me take a look
- 1:03:09at this. And it only took two weeks. If everybody
- 1:03:11in America, but in the world, spent as much time
- 1:03:15as they do going down rabbit holes, and looking
- 1:03:18at conspiracy theories, if they just looked at
- 1:03:21Jesus, we would have a whole nation of believers
- 1:03:24because it's the same amount of work. Do your
- 1:03:29own research, people. Seriously, it's amazing
- 1:03:32what you will find. Put down your screens. Pick
- 1:03:35up your Bibles. Amen, brother. Amen. Come on.
- 1:03:39So we're starting true value for value on we
- 1:03:42have to do this and we would love for you if
- 1:03:45you feel like you got any value because we want
- 1:03:48to expand this. It does take time. It's a direction
- 1:03:52that that I'm headed. So I'm hoping that people
- 1:03:54will bless us with the work that we do and we
- 1:03:57hope to continue building community everywhere
- 1:03:59we can. Value for value is what I've lived on
- 1:04:03for the past 20 years. If you get any value from
- 1:04:05what we what we talked about what we've done.
- 1:04:09It can be things that we're not even thinking
- 1:04:12of that could give you value. Just consider sending
- 1:04:14it back. Time, talent, and treasure. You can
- 1:04:16write us a note. You can spread news about the
- 1:04:19show. Also, your treasure is important and necessary.
- 1:04:25And so we started our website, WGTDT .com, complete
- 1:04:29new experiment by pointing that right to our
- 1:04:33substack. And I love this. First of all, Pastor
- 1:04:38Jimmy's in there all the time, and he's seeing
- 1:04:40all the comments. I am. I'm reading the comments.
- 1:04:42I'm answering people. You're a substacker, man.
- 1:04:44I love it, man. I love that. The community is
- 1:04:46positive. Yes. But also, you subscribe to the...
- 1:04:54To the sub stack and that way you automatically
- 1:04:57get the get the emails. There's also really easy
- 1:05:00to become a paid subscriber I like super easy.
- 1:05:02You can say yes today and take it off tomorrow.
- 1:05:05Whatever you want We also have, you know PayPal
- 1:05:08you can send an open donation All of that is
- 1:05:11good. The most important part is that you send
- 1:05:14us a note with it Yeah, and that always takes
- 1:05:17a little time to get people used to it. So we
- 1:05:19have notes at wgtdt .com send us a note if you're
- 1:05:25going to support us. I just want to thank the
- 1:05:27people who right off the bat started supporting
- 1:05:31us and sending notes. Michael Anastasio, who
- 1:05:35is the OG Samoyed, came in twice with $100 and
- 1:05:40$50. Thank you so much, Michael. Matthew Williamson
- 1:05:44sent us $100, which is $149 .64 in Australia.
- 1:05:53It's dollar reduced down there. And he has a
- 1:05:55note and he says, good day, Adam and Pastor Jimmy.
- 1:05:58I should not try to the accent. My name is Matt.
- 1:06:01I'm an Australian army veteran who was medically
- 1:06:03discharged in 2021 with back and wrist injuries
- 1:06:06among others. This was a huge adjustment for
- 1:06:09me in some really tough times. I saw Adam and
- 1:06:12Joe Rogan at the start of COVID and started listening
- 1:06:14to No Agenda, Podcasting 2 .0, MoFax, Korean
- 1:06:16The Keeper, and now we get to do this. Adam,
- 1:06:19No Agenda saved me during my discharge from the
- 1:06:22army. This is kind of what you're talking about
- 1:06:23when you're discharged and then now what? Reentry.
- 1:06:27You taught me the dangers of opioids and antidepressants,
- 1:06:30two things they love to throw at the veterans.
- 1:06:32Because of you and John, I'm no longer dependent
- 1:06:34on them from the bottom of my heart and my family's
- 1:06:36heart. Thank you. That's great. Just like No
- 1:06:38Agenda helped me with my medical discharge, we
- 1:06:41get to do this as helping me with the passing
- 1:06:43of John. Thanks for the work you both are doing.
- 1:06:46Can't wait for the episode to be three hours
- 1:06:48long. Whoa. I'm going to need a catheter. I can't
- 1:06:53sit here for three hours. Pastor Jimmy, thank
- 1:06:56you for being there for Adam during this time.
- 1:06:58It means a lot to No Agenda Nation. It's crazy
- 1:07:01how much John's passing has affected me. Randomly,
- 1:07:03I would just start crying. This never happened
- 1:07:05to me for everything. Touches me. I'm hearing
- 1:07:08that over and over. I apologize for the long
- 1:07:10note. Believe me. It's not long at all by any
- 1:07:12standard. But you never know who could help.
- 1:07:15Thank you, Matt from North Queensland. Thank
- 1:07:16you very much. Thank you, Matt. We appreciate
- 1:07:18you. Kathy Rhodes came in with $88 .88 in honor
- 1:07:23of JCD's favorite numbers. There's the Pickle
- 1:07:27Princess, Jodie White, with $75. I love you guys.
- 1:07:30Keep up the good work. I think she's married
- 1:07:33to Bo. I'm not sure. I have somehow the feeling
- 1:07:36that they're together. Somehow in cahoots. I
- 1:07:39got a note from me, it's like I got up and Jody,
- 1:07:41I'm like, I don't know, maybe, I don't know,
- 1:07:43but I need to get some more. I ordered eight
- 1:07:49or ten of those a while back. Oh my goodness.
- 1:07:52And I am enjoying them. My goodness. And by the
- 1:07:54way, these people are basically producers of
- 1:07:57the show, so they get a credit on the episode.
- 1:08:01Paul Erskine, $50. Brian at Albright Networks,
- 1:08:08$50. It's really good if you send the notes so
- 1:08:13I can get your names right. John's Burt, I know
- 1:08:18him from other shows, John's BRT, $50, thank
- 1:08:23you. Debbie, I don't know Debbie. 4H4, I have
- 1:08:28no idea. Well, Debbie, thank you. $50. Steve
- 1:08:31Weiss. There's Steve Weiss. Oh, let's see. Great
- 1:08:33guy. His wife are amazing. Steve and Stephanie
- 1:08:35from Las Vegas. Yeah. Good Bleeds from Steve
- 1:08:39and Stephanie in Las Vegas. Is he always Good
- 1:08:41Bleeds? I wonder if you meant God bless that
- 1:08:44it came out well. I think he meant God bless.
- 1:08:45That could have been a typo. Kind of like the
- 1:08:47one you sent me today and I said, can you… I
- 1:08:51need the gift of tongues, interpretation of tongues
- 1:08:53for that one. I'm struggling over here. 3333,
- 1:08:57thank you very much, Steve. We appreciate you.
- 1:09:00And I think it's D Spellman, which may or may
- 1:09:04not be Dwayne. He says V for V, R -I -P -J -C
- 1:09:07-D. And we thank you all so much for the value
- 1:09:11sent to the podcast. Really appreciate it. W
- 1:09:13-G -T -D -T dot com. All right, brother, let's
- 1:09:17land this plane. You got something for us? Can
- 1:09:19I land it in the scripture? Yeah, I love that.
- 1:09:20Please. You know, I'm circling all the way back
- 1:09:22to where we started and that was talking about
- 1:09:24the Noajinda Nation, which now, praise God, are
- 1:09:27becoming the WGTDT. Do we get to doers? I've
- 1:09:32got to practice that. Just go WGTDT. That's how
- 1:09:37it works. WGTDT. Now, as we're developing our
- 1:09:40own community, obviously, it's a one big family.
- 1:09:43We need jingles for our domain name. We do. We
- 1:09:45need a bell. Today, I would have been bopping
- 1:09:49several times. You know you don't have a podcast
- 1:09:53until you have a bell. I need a bell. Today,
- 1:09:58I'm like, oh, that was bell -worthy. Valid point.
- 1:10:00So here it is. First Thessalonians 4 .13 and
- 1:10:0214. Brothers. We do not want you to be ignorant
- 1:10:06about those who fall asleep," that means pass
- 1:10:08away, or to grieve like the rest of men who have
- 1:10:12no hope. We believe that Jesus died and rose
- 1:10:16again, and so we believe that God will bring
- 1:10:19with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in Him.
- 1:10:23There's the key, in Him. Now, in the next verse,
- 1:10:26he says, therefore, encourage each other with
- 1:10:29these words. So we don't grieve like the world
- 1:10:32grieves. We still grieve. I mean, you know, it's
- 1:10:35real. Jesus wept when Lazarus passed, even though
- 1:10:39not long afterwards. He knew that he could bring
- 1:10:41him and would bring him back. He knew what was
- 1:10:42going to happen. But yet the human side of Jesus,
- 1:10:46Son of Man, he wept. He wept over, but he also
- 1:10:50wept over the condition and what it impacted
- 1:10:52other people. And you've had that moment where
- 1:10:55you're reading these and just going, you know,
- 1:10:57it just gets to you. And that's beautiful. But
- 1:11:00I love what it says, we do not grieve like the
- 1:11:03rest of men who have no hope. That is what we
- 1:11:07have in Christ. You can take a lot of things
- 1:11:11away, but if you keep your hope, you can get
- 1:11:15through anything. And that hope is found only
- 1:11:18in Christ. That's right. Amen. Thank you, brother.
- 1:11:22Three pointer. Alright everybody, thank you for
- 1:11:26supporting us, thank you for listening. We'll
- 1:11:28be back next Wednesday. We get to do this!
