• Welcome into the tree house. It's time to leave your worries outside and join me. Daniel Malley, Tray Trenholme and Roj Sharma as we welcome in Friday, September two, twenty twenty three. Congratulations, you've made it to the end of the week and now you get to cap it off with a bunch of stupid from us. Yeah. So one thing I would like to do this week is not waste any time, because like last week, it was a lot of good birthdays and sometimes we got a lot to say about those birthdays. And I feel like we're gonna have a lot to say about the birthdays today. Some could be controversial. Yeah, I had some controversial birthdays today. M hm. That just makes me excited. And I'm not even sure if Trey hurt the word controversial or just crazy and he just gets horny. You you have piqued my interest. I do what I can see. It's it's it's not enough to to to pique the interest of the listener or the viewer, but also one another. So so far you're being quite tittilating. That was my goal this morning. When I woke up, I said, I I want to titilate Trey Trendholme today and I want to alliterate unnecessarily. Yeah. I was about to say that was fantastic. I really appreciated that. It's kind of like on occasion when my wife will try to say something and then she'll get tongue tied, and then I'll just kind of laugh because it's cute, it's funny. Yeah, I was like, and then and then she says, oh, you think it's funny. One you try saying whatever it is three times fast, and then I say it three or four times fast, and she's like, shut up. But then I have to remind her, well, you gave me a little time to think about it, so I practiced it in my head. So yeah, Peter Piper did peck a bunch of pickled peppers. Okay, I just liked. I liked. I like the phrase unintentional literation. I like that. Sometimes I'm good on in the fly, other times I need to write stuff down. What look, I can go either way, Jack of all traits mhm, kind of like Miley Styrus, I can go both ways. This segment of the Treehouse is brought to you by the Dallas Comedy Club. Birthdays Today in the Treehouse, We've got Tom Felton. He turns thirty five today. This is one of those birthdays that if you know who he is as a child actor, you are now going to feel quite old. And if you don't, you're still going to feel quite old, because I'm going to tell you exactly who he is. So the actor Tom Felton, he is thirty five. He played Draco Malfoy in the Harry Potter movies. So he was he was the annoying blonde kid in the Harry Potter movies. And he is thirty five today, which shouldn't make everyone here in the Treehouse right now feel very old. I don't because I didn't get into the series until only a few years ago. Really, yeah, I didn't. So you were late to the Harry Potter potty. I will see, I see what happens. I tried to go on the fly and I got tongue tied. So you were late to the Harry Potter party. An ex of mine was like obsessed with it, so I wanted nothing to do with it. It's like she try to try to get me the books and I'm like, I'm not gonna I can keep them, I'm not gonna read them. So but that is one of the interesting things about relationships, not only when you're in them, that if one half of the person in the relationship tries to suck you into some of their cultish type habits, and then when that relationship ends, whatever thing it was that the X was trying to get you to love you now hate for eternity because they loved it. Yeah, And so when we broke up, I was like, it was there was a marathon on and it was the first one. I was like, let me just see what this is about. Uh, And I'm like, oh, this is actually really entertaining. And then she got really upset because I actually stumbled onto their set one time. It's not like stumbling into zombie Porn. I was in London doing shows and you haven't done you have You have not done that rush, so you don't know that it's not the same. Yeah, well, I would point out at this point, I didn't stumble onto the set of zombie Porn being filmed. I just stumbled across it on my phone. Yes, and then you waited till the end to see how it turned out. Uh, No, I am curious, Raj. I am curious. I was in London doing shows and I was late getting to my train, uh at Lester Square and I was running what you were late to something? I know? And I was, well, I didn't know that the last train there was eleven o'clock there was going to my to my station was eleven thirty, and I was I thought it was at midnight, and so I kind of had to hustle. And then I was just kind of making my way through these streets. And I don't remember which movie it is, but it's when it's the three of them go into like this like diner. Uh, and uh they kill some some some folks in the in the in the diner and that's when the waitress hits on him or whatever. But I was walking and I just saw I just kept seeing police officers, like these police officers just kind of standing around and nobody said anything to me, and I just have my like my little man bag over my shoulder, man bag over my shoulder. I'm just kind of walking through. And then I was like, oh man, that looks just like and there they are. There's all three of them, like from from like ten feet away. And I was like, so, is that how you got your SAG card? You're extra Harry Potter Movies. I did get asked by a security one of the police officers came. I was like, what are you doing? And I was like, I'm trying to get to my train. He's like, how did you get here? I was like, I went through there and there was just a side entrance that was open, uh, to the that led out of this diner into the street. Now that's where I was trying to go. And I was on their movie set and he's like, okay, thank you, You've got to leave now immediately before we arrescue. And then they wouldn't for what for you not having a properly secured set. If anything, they should have hired you because you were such a good extra and no one else noticed except that I was the real magic. So that actually gets me thinking. Then, So like like with the Harry Potter movies, I know I've seen a few of them or two of them. I have not seen all of them. I do know that I have not seen the ones where they started hitting puberty. So like when you mentioned the waitress was hitting on Harry, I definitely have not seen that because all the Harry Potter movies I've seen, or when they were still kind of innocent. Yeah, you would think, but then Daniel Redcliffe admits, uh, later on it was like because he's sober, he admits that he's he quit drinking at sixteen years old. I believes hell. It was like he got it all out of his system. He was he was they were showing they were having an interview with him, and he's talking about it like they showed he was showing clips. He was like, yep, completely drunk. One did that take and come on Like it was like it started affecting him on the set. And so that was how Trey and I used to point at old radio shows when we were on mornings. I was drunk for that one. I was still drunk for that one. I was hungover for that one. Then I was drunk by the second hour. Yeah, morning radio is a terrible, terrible thing. Yeah, So that is one birthday, Tom Felton, it's thirty five. We still have like ten more. This is one of the controversial birthdays to me, Tatiana Muslani, she turns thirty seven. The reason why I say it's a controversial birthday is because she is possibly best known, at least to me, as she Hulk in the Marvel TV universe, and that seems to be a lot of the Marvel shows seem to be very holarizing, whether or not they're good, they're bad. You know. It's a weird thing because as Marvel fans, much like Star Wars fans, they can be really bitchy. So one complaint that Marvel fans have is all the movies seem the same, Right, It's just a bunch of the same stuff, same formula. Okay, it's a it's a superhero thing. So eventually it gets kind of tired. So then when the television shows break off from that formula and try to do something different. Guess what they all they all have and hate it. So that's the problem when you get to such a huge size or reach a certain level of success the way Marvel has is at a certain point you can't make any of your fans happy. No you're not, but especially with when it comes to Marvel, because you have the purists that are like the people that grew up reading the comic books, and they want you to be true to the comic books, and so you're never going to please those people, right, And then you have you know, the people that I just yeah, they pick it apart. I mean, it's like anything popular. But I never saw she Hulk, so I'm yeah, I don't think I've watched any Marvel TV shows. I watch all the movies. I don't think I've seen any of this. I liked it. I liked I actually liked the she Hulk TV show. And that right there is me saying something controversial, and I guarantee you I'm gonna get some hate mail from a Marvel freak about it, how it was a terrible show and blah blah blah. From what I was like, I didn't grow up reading the comics. I watched the movies and the shows, and I watched the cartoon and stuff as a kid, but I didn't really read the comics. So I'm not beholden to those the way some people are. And I get it. You wanted to follow the stuff that you're familiar with. But it's the same thing as any book that gets turned into a movie. It's not going to be exactly the same. You just have to accept that. I had to accept it with Jurassic Park, and I had to accept it with Ready Player One. It's just it is what you read. You read the books for Jurassic Party, M Did you really? I did? I think I was what twelve thirteen years old? I saw the movie. I was like, they have books? Oh wow, so I read an You read the book for ready Player one? Yeah, same thing, though I watched the movie first and then read the book, and I was still able to love the book. Yeah? And did Yeah? I mean and did? The author of Ready Player one called to thank you for being the one person that bought that book. Oh, there were plenty of people that bought that book. I have friends that that that's one of their favorite books, and they couldn't wait for the movie. And the way that happens with most people, you love the book, see the movie, the movie will almost always disappoint. And so that's why I typically work in the opposite direction. I'd rather see the movie first, then go back and read the book, so that way the movie doesn't disappoint as much. Right and then by and by friends, you mean the book club that you started and that had that that book. That's what you mean by friends that read the book is the book club? Anyway. Tatiana Maslan was thirty eight today, thirty eight today. I mistakenly said thirty seven. She's thirty eight today. Moving on now to uh, let's see Laura then devote. She's thirty eight today. She is Elena, the world's only female were on Bitten. Before that, she might have been known from v and as Smallville's version of Supergirl. Then Billy Piper is forty one today she was the bride of Frankenstein on Penny Dreadful, the star of Secret Diary of a call Girl and Doctor who companion Rose Tyler also morrel Enos is forty eight today. She's a detective Sarah Lyndon on AMC's The Killing and she was also twinned Jodine and Kathy on HBO's Big Love. I have not seen any of those shows that I just mentioned with the last three birthdays. Yeah, yeah, that's one of those. I was waiting for somebody to say something and nobody did. I'm like, cool, we all haven't seen this. Okay, good, Nope. Now we get to some stuff with an actress whose birthday it is that we have seen. We have Bonnie Hunt. She is sixty two today. She played Sarah Whittle in Jumanji. She's the voice of Sally and Cars, and she's one of Hollywood's great supporting actresses. She is Renee Zellweger's disapproving sister in Jerry McGuire, and probably some other stuff that I can't recall off the top of my head. But I like her as an actress. I think she's She's one actor who is super popular in the eighties and is still trying to ride the fame train. On Fox News, Scott Bayo is sixty three today. Yeah. He was riding high as Choccy on Happy Days, carried that into Charles as Charles in Charles in Charge and trying to fight for the Limelight with Willie Ames and yeah, don't forget along with Charles in Charge. Zapped underrated eighties movie. Yeah again, I don't know if I know this one. Please tell me more as I pull up my IMDb p if you want to play the random eighties movie game, I got you. I Zapped. It's Scott Scott Bayo and I believe Willie Ames is in it. It's year and have to forgive me, it's been I just in fact, I saw a clip of it the other day and I forgot how he gets the power, but it basically he gets powers and he can, you know, control people. Yeah, Dan read the book so good. I've never even heard of the movie. So that's how you know I've never read the book. I got in the Twitter fight with Scott Bayo. It was one of my greatest Uh he's an over, I'll tell you. He's a devout Trump supporter and uh he was running his mouth about complete falsehoods as as a lot of them do. And uh he's posted a picture where he's standing outside of a private jet. He's got his arms up and I said, uh, calm down, at Scott Bayo, Calm down, Chacy, you're lucky lucky to fly coach, and I was very like politics, yeah, and I was verified before the whole elon must thing, and so I was verified on Twitter and he just sent back, He's like, uh, watch your mouth at comedian roj and I sent back, Wow, now I know how out of work you are. You're starting a fight with me. This is why they say don't feed the trolls. Yeah, it was it was good. He came back with something else and he said something about him being verified, and I'll go, I'm just as because I watch my mouth with the twelve hundred followers. I'll go, yeah, and I'm just as verified as you. And I'm sorry his friend is a comic and got in my face about it, like that was the best man at my wedding. I was like, I don't care. It's Scott bo Uh yeah. He's supposed to be like a wholesome guy and he's everybody he's ever dated. It is from the Playboy mention, including his wife. Well look, hey, you you look. If anything I've learned over the last week, especially by keeping up with musical news, is that you can be a full throated family values uh champion, yes and still get felt up at a musical with children. Yeah, so don't let don't let your family value stuff get in the way of your good time. That's right, you don't let it stop you from getting a Bobert. So I just without the audio on, watched the trailer of Zapped from nineteen eighty two. Eighty two Wow, and and I am not proud of this, but I am. I am almost certain I've I've seen this movie. Do you share? Like the purple eyes I think is what the effect was. Yeah, the purple eyes. There was a a roulette wheel that floated off the table. There was a one point a mannequin sliding down a stair banister. So yeah, I mean it's and it has Willy Eames. I mean it's everything you look for in an eighties movie. Oh in a hot blonde like taken off her top, which you know? Yeah, so what he was her friends with Williams before? Because eighty two wasn't Charles in Charge? That was right at the end of Joni Loves CHOCHI yeah, I believe Charles and Charged right after Zapped? Yeah, okay, I'll be right. In the throw of Johnny Loves Chocci, I think happy I think Happy Days went off in eighty two or eighty three. Yeah, and that was the spin off, right right. Charles in Charge started in nineteen eighty four, So after after the wild excitement calmed down, after the Zapped film hit theaters two years later, Charles in Charge took over the country. Yeah. I just watched it for Nicole Edward. That's why everyone watched you. But then, but then we were talking about it not too long ago. The other sister ended up being way hotter. Well, you know, sometimes some flowers take longer to bloom that. I think Nicole Eggert's flower had had too much sun by the time the other one bloomed, and it was filter away Coke and fu seemed to do that. Why is it the sober guys always the judgiest. You're listening to the Treehouse visitors online at Treehouse on air dot com. One of the most important phone numbers you will need in your financial life, in my opinion, and that's a good opinion I think is to Rodney Anderson and his team that phone number nine seven two nine eight fifty two hundred. I've used it several times. Nine seven two fifty two hundred. His website Rodney Anderson dot com. So, Rodney, we've talked a lot about how important it is for people to have their finances under control, But why is that so important beyond just the obvious, Because you're reading right now that a lot of companies, a lot of banks are predicting that we're going to come into a recession. And I'll give you a perfect example of somebody that had to get their finances under control. We have a client right now. She works in the commercial lending business. She's been in that commercial lending business for over twenty five years. Her base salaries one hundred thousand a year, normally gets bonuses of two hundred thousand dollars a year, So this year her bonus is twenty five thousand dollars. Only next year they're telling her don't plan on a bonus. So when you've gone from a three hundred thousand dollars a year income to one hundred and twenty five thousand year income, it's trying time to get your finances under control. And she's actually selling your current house and downsizing to make her payments more affordable. But we're seeing a lot of people in these situations do cash out refinances. Because they're not getting the bonuses. Companies are pulling back on overtime and appending recession is coming. It's time to get your finances under control, whether it's credit card debt, medical debt, unsecured debt, just debt in all the different ways that you're struggling with. If you have good, excellent credit, a lot of equity in your home, a perfect solution could be a cash out REFI. But we're also starting to see some people downsize because their income is really downsizing, and that means you got to get your finance is under control and sometimes make the unpopular decision of selling your house and buying a different one at a lower price point. Yeah, sometimes you have to make some hard decisions. You have to ask some difficult questions and sometimes the answer staring you right in the face. I always like to say, set yourself up for success. The way I've done that in my past is by calling Rodney and his team. You can do the same nine seven two nine eight fifty two hundred nine seven two nine eight five fifty two hundred and of course Rodney Anderson dot com And if m Lending is an equal housing lender three thosand Village, Parkway, Suite four hundred Hihlan Village, Texas and MLS two three two nine. The Friday addition is that a tail sticking into the into your screen? There, rush, that was? That was. So the dog that's sick has been getting all the attention today, and so the dog that is not is now feeling left out. And here he is. You'll see him here in a second. There he is. Yeah, that's a good doggie, snoot. But he's looking at rags like either give me kisses or food I'm not sure which he didn't get to go out, and so he's being a butt about it. Sit down, please, it's just staring at you awkwardly, which every dog owner knows. That stair, which was the stair we get from our old dog, our old big dog Joel on I think a hour by hour basis. Yeah, he's staring. This is what he's doing. You know what. This is another one of those times if you're listening to the show on Spotify or Apple or the iHeart app and you're not seeing this, you can go to YouTube and get and get a so Raj's dog staring at him awkwardly guilting him. Yeah, oh yeah, I read a thing just the other day. You know that that animals don't have the same level of awareness and emotions that humans do. And this is one of those times where I beg to differ. I'm at work. The only the only guilt trip I've seen better than the one you're getting from your dog right now, rogers, is are the ones I get from my own mother. Yes, this is a next level. Uh. And then now the sick one just popped his head up, like what about me? Dogs? No envy? Yeah, they this one has been like he's been sitting over here, he's been on my left, and he's been very quiet. And uh, in one of the breaks he I got it. I just scratched his belly is like I will take you out soon, and he heard out. Oh yeah, he heard heard the out word. Or perhaps he's looking at you the way that I'm looking at myself, which is can you get through birth days? Please sit down? Go sit down? All right, let's finish up birthdays. Also, he named your dog Reess. His name is Ess, Is it because he looks like a Reeses peanut? Butter Cup because he looks like chocolate and peanut butter. Yep, this is exactly what it is. It's a good name. The only problem is is now I want to eat your dog. That's the trouble of a name, and your dog rees is and keeping me around. Yeah, yeah, all right. Now let's finish birthdays. We left off with Scott Bayo being sixty three, so now let's move on to Joan Jet. She is sixty five today. The Rock and Roll Hall of Famer, whose hits include I Love rock and Roll, which, honestly, if you have a hit titled I Love rock and Roll, you better be admitted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Other songs include bad Reputation, So I guess she did that well before Taylor Swift did it. I hate myself for loving you. That is a Trey's anthem, I'm pretty sure. And Crimson and Clover. Yeah, she's a She's a badass angel voiced Andrea Bocelli is sixty five today. Blind opera singer been blind since the age of twelve. He was raised on a farm and exposed to opera as a child simply because it calmed him down. I'd like to point out when you use the word exposed these days, that's one of those words that has been so tainted by the news, don't I don't really like using it in any other fashion. Like I don't like saying a twelve year old was exposed to anything, because I just assume it's illegal. But if you're gonna if you're gonna be twelve and exposed to something, I mean it might as well be opera. But I just love the like when you say grow up on a farm, Like my American brain is like, oh well, that's that must be nice, and he's like, that's where he was exposed to opera. I'm like, he didn't grow up here. That that is not a farm in Kentucky. And my problem is now is now that Tara and I are rolling our way finally through watching yellow Stone, whenever I see someone raised on a farm, it no longer seems peaceful and buculic. I need to get into that show. It's really good. It's dandy. You like, y'all like it. We do. Now, keep in mind that because of all the hype around it, it's it's difficult for anything to land on your expectations when it's been talked up so much, but it is definitely addictive. But at the same time, I will say Yellowstone is one of the most absurd shows I have ever enjoyed, because it really is ridiculous some of the things that transpire. I don't know how. I don't know what the current streak is for ac not killing someone in an episode and experiencing no repercussions from it whatsoever. But it's a pretty good street. The thing that I thought was hysterical was watching football the other day, watching the Cowboys and the Jets game. They had a promo running saying, hey, after the games today on CBS Broadcast TV, Yellowstone is going to be on. It was the first episode. Yeah, and I think that they're going to run the entire series on CBS Sundays, which is interesting because if you ever watched one episode of it. I told Tera, I was like, how are they not only going to you can bleep out the swear words and things like that, but how are you going to shoot around Beth being naked for a good chunk of that first season. Yeah, I don't know how you get around the neckingness or just the violence of I mean, I love you, low Stone I had a horrible time just getting through the opening scene of the series, and you know that was because anything with the animals obviously makes me queasy, and I don't like anything, you know, where animals get hurt. But I mean, it's a magnificent show, you're I do. I wanted the same thing when I saw the running it on CBS. I'm like how and got like, you're gonna take a forty five minute episode and condense it to twenty five minutes? I mean out a lot. Yeah, it's gonna be it's twenty four, right, twenty four minutes, And so that's what it has to be for network television if you're doing if it's a half hour show. Yeah, but I mean each episode is in that forty five you know, minute time frame on the on the platform that you watch it on, which means it's just right to, you know, to throw in commercial breaks for broadcast TV. It's just at the content of it is not exactly uh post sixty minutes audience typical. It does yeah, okay, it does make me laugh though, because if you actually look at that, that is one of the great screw ups and as far as TV executives go, because they Paramount produces Yellowstone, which is CBS, but they sold the streaming rights before Yellowstone was a thing in a package to NBC. So while CBS is making Yellowstone, it is NBC that is gaining getting all the money and all the everything, all the benefits from that show doing so well, and all they had to do was, you know, by the rights for nothing. Yeah, but I mean when I was in LA you saw that a lot, like I'd go to the CBS a lot on Radford and because it was close to my house, so you would see shows that were produced by and filmed on the CBS a lot that we're on Fox or that we're on NBC or ABC, but they're all filming there, so it's production wise. But this was just one of those things where Paramount had like they owned the rights to Yellowstone in a bundle, like you know, they just sold the streaming rights off of Yellowstone to NBC, which basically has helped NBC launch Peacock because that's what I'm watching Yellowstone on is Peacock. So the thing that I take out of this, and it makes me feel good from what you just said, Trey, is that idiot executives are not exclusive to radio. TV has their own and that makes me feel better. There's no reason why radio should have the franchise on idiot executives. I always like to think the same people that thought David Lee Roth would be a good idea in mornings are the same people that sold off Yellowstone streaming rights. It's the same guy he got He got another job at some point. You just got to stop hiring that guy, all right. Other birthdays today. Pat Boone's daughter Debbie Boone, is sixty seven today. Her biggest hit is You Light Up My Life. I hope that's actually her song and she didn't take her dad's formula of finding a black artist and stealing his song and making it his own. Then, daughter of Harry Belafonte, Sherry Belafonte, is sixty nine today. The singer for Deep Purple and White Snake, David Coverdale is seventy one. One of the ugliest men to ever front a band. How dare you say that with the likes of Getty Lee and Rick o'kasik. Well, I didn't say he was number one, I just said he's on the list. He was a handsome man in the eighties. Tonni Ktayne, he was married to her. One take he would sing every song was done in one take. He is impressive. Now, keeping in mind I said that Rags while being a fan of David Coverdale, like like White Snake House as you know, a couple of my favorite songs. Had it not been for one of their biggest hits, Here we Go Again, I would have blown my brains all out in the cave I L studios back in the day because that was the one hard ass song that was played on k v I L. And if I had to fill time on my night shift at k v I L, good damn right. If I was gonna fill time, I was pulling up Here we Go Again by White Snake on k v I L. Yeah. Man, he had the great hair, he had the hot chick. Uh solid handsome man. Handsome man, but ugly. Yeah so handsome. I mean it just he is. You know, in fact, you really just brought up the two greatest examples Rick Okasik of the cars with Paul and a Porrisco. And you know which I I think that is If you really want to find things that define our generation for our age mid you know, mid forties and up, is you actually know who Pauli a Porrescovo. Is because she was just a hot model. It's not like she ever did anything really at she was a bong girl. I remember I had a post ever and I'm like, you know, and in her on her wall, on my wall, and she was just hot. But yeah, yeah, and then getting yeah, and then Getty Lee, who's part Wilderbeast. Uh uh he is. He's so he's so unattractive they don't let him do interviews. Yeah, he was the that was put in the black silhouette. So it was it's not that it's not that he needed to remain anonymous for his safety's sake. Is because he was just so hideous he would scare off your viewers. Yeah, just look up Getty Lee from Rush. He is. Uh. Have you've seen a lot of Rush videos? You have? Not's not I'm honestly, I was never a fan of Rush, So I really like I could be sitting next to members of Rush hey Plane or something and I wouldn't I wouldn't know they are the led Zeppelin of Canada. I'm also going to break some other hearts here is I'm not a huge led Zeppelin fan either. Oh I am. That's I mean, okay, that's understandable. It's not everybody's taste. Now. If you notice, though, I did not say the thing that I can't stand that people say, Oh they suck. No, led Zeppelin doesn't suck. I just they're just not for me. That's how I categorize things. That's how I feel about the Rolling Stunts, like they were never for me. I like two songs and then that's it. It's funny. Rolling Sounds are a band that as I get older, they are growing on me as they're beginning to die, the same way that they've grown on their groupies. You reach a certain point of rock stair age where it's hard to tell if you're just really really talented or if you're just up there with mold. Hey, Mick Jager married a girl from a squite Jerry Hall, Jerry Hall. Yeah? Was that because he wanted to or is that more of like a community service type of thing. Was it just a challenge to try to elevate some some girl from a squite. Yeah. We had to have something more popular than the rodeo, so it had to be that. Well, be doing it for you exactly. And our final birthday today, Uh, Tony Basil turns seventy. I'm sorry it turns eighty today. Her biggest hit eighteen eighty two's Mickey. Wow, Mickey, I think she so So. That means there were two amazing things to come out of nineteen eighty two, Mickey and the Scott Bayo vehicle zapped with Willie Ames. Okay, uh yeah, Tony Basil, she's she's great. I think she wrote a bunch of stuff for a bunch of different people. I think that's what I'm just shot. Like. If so she's eighty, now, that means she was around forty when Mickey came out. Yeah, and I would have thought she Hey, kudos to her. She was hot at forty. Yeah, in the eighties when they didn't have botox. So yeah, yeah, they just called it special effects back then, but it was just makeup. Hey, she looked good on Solid Gold? Hell yeah, Man, I think Trey has a gold fetish between Abba and watching Solid Gold. Yeah, I mean God was with Marilyn mccou very. Yeah. And if we weren't showing our age before, Hey, nobody mentioned dance Fever. Okay, that was the show. Well. I like to think I grew up pretty balanced because not only did I watch American band Stand on occasion or uh, what was one we just mentioned gold? Thank you Solid Gold? I also what was Solid Gold? American band Stand? Soul Train? I also watched Soul Train? Yeah, with the Don what's his name? Don, Don, Don Cornel, Don Father? Would I would, but I would have loved to see the show a different movie, that's a different musical show. Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome the Temptations. What happened to the fourth I had to kill him? I made him an off review. I just felt feel really bad when the band's performing gets to the green room and there's a horse head in the middle of the room. The Soul Train with Don Corleon somebody somebody as a listener, please photoshop that, you know? And uh, and this being only our fourth tree House Friday episode, I believe we've gone full Treehouse. I'm a laugh about this. You will need to contact Daniel Cook from Cook DFW Roofing and Restoration who joins us now in the Treehouse Daniel Cook. My question for you today, Daniel is timing. It's about timing. Is the timing important to file acclaim with the insurance company if you have an you with the roof and it's super important. So you know, as we are here in the metroplex, we get some very big storms that come through and if a storm gets to a certain size, they call in what's called a catastrophe team or a cat team, and those adjusters or task with trying to get to as many people as fast as possible. They're going to try to air on the side of the customer. They're there to try to assess that damage as fast as possible. They're very a lot more lenient and they try to get those checks in those customers hands. Let's get those claims called in as soon as they occur, and especially if you have a super large claim, so don't wait after an event like Daniels saying to contact your insurance company, and the very next call you make, or even the call right before the insurance company, should be to Cook DFW Roofing and Restorations so they can be there to walk the property and the roof with your adjuster to make sure you are absolutely covered top to bottom. So I'm curious, Jacqueline, do people call you for a second opinion or a second quote when they have an issue all the time, all the time, Assuming that's a good idea, it's a great idea. Shop your quotes. Doesn't matter if it's a water heater, if it's a garbage disposal, if you're redoing your waterlines because you've had a leak. Shop the quote. And what I always tell people is is that if you especially if you're paying for somebody to come to your house diagnose a problem and provide you a written estimate, if you have to surrender any form of currency to that person and they give you something, that is so vague that it's not what I call shoppable. You can't hand it to me, and it doesn't have enough detail that I can't provide you a competitive quote. That is, in my opinion, purely intentional. It should be a red flag if the plumber comes to your home and on the quote that he writes out for you, it just says five thousand dollars to fix stuff all the time. So give Brooks Plumbing a call. They'll actually give you that item minds detailed quote, whether you're they are the first one you call or the second in case you need that second opinion. Josh in your mind, are you having is Brando hosting soul Train? Yes, because that is definitely my mind. I've got Don Cornelius in the behind the desk and a big like purple suit, and Brando's character none has Moreland, Brando's lost sold O. God, that would I would have never the show would still be on the air. Yeah, it would just be Marlon Brando's corpse still hosting. It wouldn't let him die. They would not let that man die. It would just be his head in a jar. What I loved about it is the confidence. It's like, no, I'm I'm lost in my own thoughts, like, okay, what was the name? What was the name of that show? Oh? Yeah, soul Train. And then you rig you couldn't quite remember the host it was Don Don and the tray so confidently leans into his microphone and points at his screen going out was Don Courtley one the hostess Soul Train. And then you and I just our faces lit up and said, yeah, that ain't it, But I'm glad you said it. This is This has been the best day of my life. It does not get any better than this. I have to I now need a shirt that this has Soul Train was hosted by Don. I don't like I think it needs to say it. We just need Aaron Ari Impoor to draw, and I'm working with him, so I will have just draw us of soul training with Don. And it doesn't even have to be something crazy that he does with vector files and graphic design. Just one of Aaron's sketches would suffice. No, we're getting I'm making shirts, buddy, We're getting shirts out of this deal. We're gonna wear this proudly. Trade with the amount of confidence that you've said that in you have to wear that shirt to work. You're not gonna get it. You're not gonna get that level of stupid anywhere else. Oh No, only God. And if if you don't listen to the show, now is the now is the time to tune in and stay tuned in because this is brilliant. So by Don corleone, Thank you so much. Tray, You're welcome. Thankmam, glad my stupid could benefit. Thank you for being you. That's the thing that's that's the other thing to keep in mind with this show is we're not all above stupid. We're all looking up at that stupid bar. I can't stop good because I have something that's really gonna really gonna throw you for a loop. Oh my god, I just love this headline from earlier in the week in in DFW. Three burglary suspects rapped after high speed let's start that over. Three burglary suspects arrested after high speed chase from Fort Worth to Dallas, stole thirty bucks and a bag of chips. That is that is dedication to being a criminal. Yeah, that is also a Florida level headline, So good job Northtech. Just trying to jump into that Florida man conversation. If you ever get a chance to visit a small town in Nevada, it's called Tona Paw, don't pot about. It's like a ghost town kind of, but every convenience store has the pictures of like the the cars and the license plate, like, this is what they stole, This is what they stole. This is what they took from husband. And one of them is a guy, uh, you know, samurai, a Suzuki Samurai. Uh stole a six pack of smearingoff ice and then took the Suzuki Samurai out to the desert and set it on fire. That was my favorite one. I was like, for sir, can't leave any evidence. I can't leave any DNA for this crime. I feel like that's a story that I feel like that's something trade in the high school, I would never drink snoff ice. Well, that's why we say in high school it said Boone's Farm, all right, Yes, a little purple Passion, Strawberry Hill, Strawberry Hill, that's right. Yeah, that's a good man right there. That's where it all started. That right there, that story is right up there with the time that Raj and I went to East Texas looking for ghosts, sharing sharing red solo cups of mad Dog twenty twenty great flavor. Yeah, that was a good time. We heard things that night. I don't think any of it was ghosts, but we heard things. I think it was just I think it was just the spirit of mad Dog twenty twenty whisper. That place was so scary, though, wouldn't The sheriff met us at the gate and we're like, we will just follow you in. He's like, no, y'all, can you guys can go? Like the guy with the gun doesn't want to go. It really was the beginning of a horror film. We're lucky, We're lucky to be here. I'm lucky I would be the first one to die. Yes, you would have got Raj, do you know what vabbing is? Vabbing? Can you use it in a sentence? What is vabbing? And does it really work? Vabbing? Some women say they found a new trick involving their vaginas. Okay, there is a new pseudoscience craze sweeping the internet, and it involves inserting your fingers into your vagina and then wiping them on your skin. Now, Raj or Tray, why do you think a woman would do this? Blemishes? Okay, Trey, have any thoughts as to why a woman might rub her feminine essences on her skin? Smells really good? Five? No? I mean well, how well? How fortunate for the guy that or anyone standing near her? Ae? Acne? Is it an acne treatment? A second? That's the wrong also the wrong button? Wait, wait, hang on, hang on, I think I know what it is now all right, rogers giving me your guess again? Acne? That is incorrect? Right? What was yours? I've sent pheromones? Maybe I don't. Oh it is congratulations you have you have cracked the the vabbing code. There's a new pseudoscience craze sweeping the internet and It involves inserting your fingers into your vagina and then wiping them on your skin, all in the name of seduction. Own as vabbing trend has been touted as a cheaper and more alluring alternative to perfume. But can smelling like a vagina really make you more attractive? God Bless the Internet. Yes, and the way that most new trends happened, it was because of a TikTok video. Vabbing has blown up recently, thinks to a now deleted TikTok video posted by an influencer describing the technique. She recommended the use of two fingers and a relatively clean vagina, and says that the best approach is to simply get up in there before transferring the intimate secretions to exposed body parts like the wrist, neck, or behind the ears in order to attract a mate. Okay, I didn't know. I didn't know women were having a hard time. No, that was the thing. Well, you know, I guess. I guess you bring up a solid point rage. If you were having such a difficult time landing a partner, I can see how you be desperate enough to try something out of the box. Literally out of the box. It's not very often, but I'm both proud and ashamed of that. That was brilliant but also stupid. Yeah, yeah, that was That was perfect. Den's recommendation is to think outside the box. That's a new T shirt. We have to have me think outside your box. Well a really good it was a really good show today. We got two T shirts out of it. There's the right but standard mail form. I can't find the button. I do like the idea of just having a shirt on it that has the Treehouse podcast logo. With this deputation asked me about babbing.
