- 0:42Speaker 2: So let's go in and.
- 0:42Speaker 1: Take a look at this tweet right here as both
- 0:45Speaker 1: theory kind of breaking down what's going on with Michael
- 0:47Speaker 1: Sailor's strategy. Of course, selling for the first time since
- 0:51Speaker 1: December twenty twenty two thirty two bitcoin.
- 0:54Speaker 2: This is only worth two and a half million.
- 0:55Speaker 1: Many people will say, all right, it's just two and
- 0:57Speaker 1: a half million, But I think the point is that
- 1:00Speaker 1: it is all built around sentiment in the market. We
- 1:02Speaker 1: started to see bitcoinjust because of this specifically, and I
- 1:07Speaker 1: think the real question is will we sell more bitcoin
- 1:10Speaker 1: as we start to move forward. Remember the stretch, the
- 1:13Speaker 1: stretched dividend rate maintained still at eleven and a half percent.
- 1:17Speaker 1: They're getting ready to do a June distribution coming up soon.
- 1:20Speaker 1: This is still playing out, and I think at that
- 1:22Speaker 1: point you've got to take a look at where the
- 1:24Speaker 1: current market is and whether or not they would dip
- 1:26Speaker 1: into the bitcoin coffers and sell again to be able
- 1:30Speaker 1: to pay out on some.
- 1:31Speaker 2: Of these dividends.
- 1:32Speaker 1: Strategy sells and raises one hundred and twenty eight million,
- 1:37Speaker 1: this of course coming through the share issue, and so
- 1:39Speaker 1: they're pretty much in a position right now where they're
- 1:43Speaker 1: diluting even further. So, I don't know, are you in
- 1:46Speaker 1: a position right now where you like the strategy coming
- 1:49Speaker 1: in from Strategy and micro Strategy or do you not
- 1:53Speaker 1: let me know in the comments down below. Would you
- 1:55Speaker 1: buy Master right now or would you buy bitcoin as
- 1:58Speaker 1: it starts to dip?
- 1:59Speaker 2: Is that at the price you like?
- 2:01Speaker 1: Or do you like the under seventy k which is
- 2:03Speaker 1: kind of where we see the market heading. If you
- 2:05Speaker 1: look at stretch right now, you can of course see
- 2:08Speaker 1: it d coming.
- 2:10Speaker 2: I won't say depegging, but it is coming off its.
- 2:13Speaker 1: Average around a buck, holding in at around ninety eight
- 2:16Speaker 1: to fifty five.
- 2:17Speaker 2: Right now.
- 2:18Speaker 1: This dipped, of course down, I'm sure on the news.
- 2:21Speaker 1: The real question is is we'll this start to move
- 2:23Speaker 1: further in other scenarios where we've seen in the past
- 2:27Speaker 1: where it's dipped all the way down to around ninety three.
- 2:30Speaker 1: So is that an opportunity to go in and grab
- 2:34Speaker 1: stretch at a bit of a discount and then get
- 2:36Speaker 1: ready for these distributions they start to come out. Let
- 2:39Speaker 1: me know what you guys think other things that are
- 2:41Speaker 1: playing into this, because this, I think is another factor
- 2:44Speaker 1: that kind of puts some pressure on the market. And
- 2:48Speaker 1: I like this analysis. Very few people connecting the dots.
- 2:51Speaker 1: Someone sold one point two bill in ibit and they
- 2:54Speaker 1: paid twenty nine million in execution fees. So what else
- 2:58Speaker 1: is being sold out there right now in these markets?
- 3:02Speaker 2: Are there some whales not to be named that are
- 3:05Speaker 2: doing this?
- 3:06Speaker 1: And of course Sailor came in right behind just did
- 3:08Speaker 1: a small sale. But still the point is is very
- 3:11Speaker 1: interesting timing going into this market in a heavy week
- 3:14Speaker 1: on June first, I want to go to a clip
- 3:16Speaker 1: real quick, because this gets into whether or not Strategy
- 3:20Speaker 1: is losing the plot on this project.
- 3:22Speaker 3: Take a look just days after billionaire entrepreneur Mark Cuban
- 3:26Speaker 3: told a podcast last week that he has sold most
- 3:29Speaker 3: of his bitcoin holdings because it has quote lost the
- 3:32Speaker 3: plot A new security is. An Exchange Commission filing out
- 3:35Speaker 3: yesterday shows that in the first quarter, billionaire hedge fund
- 3:38Speaker 3: manager Paul Tudor Jones sold his entire stake in bitcoin
- 3:42Speaker 3: treasury firm Strategy. Tell us what you saw and what's
- 3:45Speaker 3: going on here?
- 3:45Speaker 4: But yeah, part of the message to our shareholders and
- 3:49Speaker 4: the community is we are a sixty two billion dollar
- 3:53Speaker 4: We're companying a whole sixty two billion dollars in bitcoin.
- 3:57Speaker 4: We had at that point in time eight billion dollars
- 3:59Speaker 4: at about eight ten billion dollars or fifteen billion eight
- 4:03Speaker 4: dollars and preferred. We have a lot of tools to
- 4:05Speaker 4: use and we'll do the right things at the right
- 4:08Speaker 4: time to increase bitcoin.
- 4:09Speaker 2: Per share for our shareholders.
- 4:12Speaker 3: So what should people be waiting for here?
- 4:14Speaker 4: There's a long term philosophy that we should be aggregating
- 4:17Speaker 4: bitcoin as a company, and I think it's good for
- 4:19Speaker 4: most people. Right there may be a week to week
- 4:22Speaker 4: or a day to day decision that we should sell
- 4:24Speaker 4: bitcoin because it's a creative to our shareholders for the
- 4:27Speaker 4: long term.
- 4:29Speaker 2: All right.
- 4:29Speaker 1: So that was fond Lee, who's the president over at Strategy,
- 4:33Speaker 1: and one of the things that we talked with him
- 4:36Speaker 1: about the last time we were on the show.
- 4:38Speaker 2: I think is.
- 4:39Speaker 1: How do long term investors play this out? Because many
- 4:42Speaker 1: people would look at strategy and stretch, especially maybe more
- 4:45Speaker 1: long term. Some would say, no, I'm going to take
- 4:49Speaker 1: the eleven and a half percent on the annual appreciation here,
- 4:52Speaker 1: that that would be what I'm looking for. But I
- 4:54Speaker 1: think the opportunity here is can he convince investors to
- 4:57Speaker 1: stay in the game for long term. That's real play
- 5:00Speaker 1: that's going into the market right now. Mike Novocrats had
- 5:04Speaker 1: some things to say about this because there's some interesting
- 5:07Speaker 1: parody here to also what is happening with the likelihood
- 5:10Speaker 1: of clarity.
- 5:11Speaker 5: Take a look all of that other stuff that he's
- 5:13Speaker 5: doing is hurting the crypto piece.
- 5:16Speaker 2: Of the legislation.
- 5:17Speaker 5: Two weeks ago, I was at ninety percent past I'm
- 5:21Speaker 5: back down to sixty percent.
- 5:22Speaker 6: Right.
- 5:22Speaker 5: The stuff that's happening around this administration with the one
- 5:26Speaker 5: point seven billion dollars slush fund, just makes it harder
- 5:30Speaker 5: and harder for Democrats to say, yeah, we should support
- 5:32Speaker 5: this guy. Part of my role in process has been
- 5:35Speaker 5: going going down consistently to DC and I'm going to
- 5:39Speaker 5: get next week to try to get Democrats to say,
- 5:41Speaker 5: you know what, guys, forget about that. If Trump wants
- 5:45Speaker 5: to be that administration wants to be corrupt, they could
- 5:47Speaker 5: be corrupt. There's nothing you can do to stop it
- 5:49Speaker 5: because you're not stopping it. Passing a crypto bill, which
- 5:51Speaker 5: is good for America and good for our industry and
- 5:54Speaker 5: actually gets this issue off your plate is still better
- 5:57Speaker 5: for you. So plug your nose and do it. They
- 5:59Speaker 5: keep getting there, they get to the finish line, they're
- 6:02Speaker 5: ready to go, and then something else comes out and
- 6:04Speaker 5: it's like, okay, if we could just take a pause
- 6:08Speaker 5: out of this administration, all those things are just like needles.
- 6:13Speaker 2: All right.
- 6:14Speaker 1: So he is getting at the real point here, and
- 6:16Speaker 1: that is how do the markets respond to this? And
- 6:19Speaker 1: of course some of the biggest issues right now are
- 6:21Speaker 1: the Democrats and how they're going to end up voting
- 6:24Speaker 1: on clarity. Even if we get it to the Senate floor.
- 6:27Speaker 1: That's the real question right now. More pressure on the
- 6:29Speaker 1: market though. Bitcoin trades under seventy one K for the
- 6:32Speaker 1: first time since April thirteenth, so the likelihood of seeing
- 6:37Speaker 1: Bitcoin dip below seventy is much higher now. Many people
- 6:40Speaker 1: were looking at June as being one of the key
- 6:42Speaker 1: months here that would take a look at where the
- 6:45Speaker 1: markets take a step back, possibly even the traditional markets,
- 6:50Speaker 1: and then start to see some movement after midterms. And again,
- 6:53Speaker 1: all of this is still pairing into whether or not
- 6:55Speaker 1: we get clarity.
- 6:56Speaker 2: I'll talk about that in a minute.
- 6:57Speaker 1: Before we go to that, though, I want to go
- 6:59Speaker 1: into why I investors are now rage quitting take a look.
- 7:04Speaker 5: You know.
- 7:04Speaker 7: On the one hand, I think Mark is right crypto
- 7:06Speaker 7: has been disappointing because cryptos should move with you know,
- 7:10Speaker 7: equity markets, and it should be rallying with software. Software
- 7:13Speaker 7: has really started to rally big and crypto hasn't moved.
- 7:18Speaker 7: So I think there are what what I call quote
- 7:20Speaker 7: rage quitting people selling here as if something is wrong.
- 7:24Speaker 7: I mean one, I think that's what always happens at
- 7:27Speaker 7: the end of crypto winner. You know, if someone asks me,
- 7:30Speaker 7: is the thesis for bitcoin or ethereum broken. You know,
- 7:34Speaker 7: it's absolutely not because one the more work we do,
- 7:37Speaker 7: and we're hearing it from founders like Palenteer, bitcoin and
- 7:41Speaker 7: ethereum are really the future of money because mass and
- 7:44Speaker 7: compute or compute and energy. However Elon puts it, the
- 7:47Speaker 7: future isn't changed. But the spotlight today is of course
- 7:51Speaker 7: on Semi's memory, starting on software. But as people focus
- 7:56Speaker 7: downstream into the future, that's really I think when the
- 7:58Speaker 7: bid comes for bitcoin anything.
- 8:01Speaker 1: So that is the question mark is when does the
- 8:03Speaker 1: big come and is this lining up for a perfect
- 8:07Speaker 1: entry point on these assets at a much lower price
- 8:11Speaker 1: than where this market could be going. Remember Tom Lee
- 8:14Speaker 1: is now holding four and a half percent of the
- 8:16Speaker 1: total ethereum supply, which has been his goal is to
- 8:19Speaker 1: get to five. It's likelihood that this is going to
- 8:22Speaker 1: happen four bitmind And I think the real factor here.
- 8:25Speaker 2: Is is he right.
- 8:27Speaker 1: Are we going to see bitcoin and ethereum lead these
- 8:29Speaker 1: markets out and what other assets would kind of go
- 8:32Speaker 1: along with it. I think that's a real question that
- 8:34Speaker 1: many people are looking at. You could compare this to
- 8:37Speaker 1: what's been happening in.
- 8:39Speaker 2: The stock market.
- 8:40Speaker 1: The stock market, of course, hits its all time most
- 8:42Speaker 1: expensive valuation and history, surpassing the dot com bubble. Now,
- 8:47Speaker 1: many people will argue this is that has a lot
- 8:50Speaker 1: of similarities to the dot com bubble.
- 8:51Speaker 2: I live there.
- 8:52Speaker 1: I was working in Silicon Valley at that time. What
- 8:55Speaker 1: I will tell you is I don't think so. I
- 8:57Speaker 1: think now we're dealing with real earnings back then, and it.
- 9:00Speaker 2: Was blue sky all the way. That was mostly on
- 9:03Speaker 2: Wall Street.
- 9:03Speaker 1: A lot of these funds that were running back in
- 9:05Speaker 1: the nineties and the early two thousands, they had zero revenue.
- 9:09Speaker 1: There was no income, there was no balance sheets, and
- 9:12Speaker 1: that was the problem that it really painted. It's a
- 9:14Speaker 1: different market now, because I do think there are opportunities
- 9:18Speaker 1: here for many of these Now. The real question is
- 9:19Speaker 1: is will some of this speculative markets, such as what's
- 9:23Speaker 1: going on in AI make it through. That is the
- 9:26Speaker 1: question I think everybody's asking right now.
- 9:28Speaker 2: Where does it go?
- 9:29Speaker 1: Speaking of that, you've got Claude of course developing their
- 9:33Speaker 1: ipo anthropic and of course this will be one of
- 9:36Speaker 1: the biggest ever.
- 9:37Speaker 2: The real question is is how.
- 9:38Speaker 1: Do they compete with something like SpaceX for at least
- 9:42Speaker 1: the sentiment word of mouth. How new investors might jump in.
- 9:47Speaker 1: But of course IPO coming in very strong at one
- 9:50Speaker 1: point eight billion or one point eight trillion on their IPO,
- 9:53Speaker 1: this will be a huge one. And I think speaking
- 9:56Speaker 1: of huge IPO seasons, you have to consider every one
- 10:00Speaker 1: that could potentially be going out at this time.
- 10:02Speaker 2: Take a look IPO.
- 10:04Speaker 6: But answer that we have upcoming, right, we know SpaceX's
- 10:08Speaker 6: is upcoming in June. As far as I can read today,
- 10:11Speaker 6: Open a Eyes is pondering an IPO just after the
- 10:14Speaker 6: summer break, right around September Augus September. So that is
- 10:19Speaker 6: probably also another concern for the business cycle into twenty
- 10:23Speaker 6: twenty seven. Will too much liquidity get sucked up by
- 10:26Speaker 6: all of these big, big, big IPOs. And honestly, if
- 10:30Speaker 6: you look at it in the historical context, a huge
- 10:33Speaker 6: IPO season is a decent sentiment indicator that we're approaching
- 10:39Speaker 6: some sort of finally year of a cycle or something
- 10:42Speaker 6: like that.
- 10:43Speaker 2: So my best guest right now, also.
- 10:45Speaker 6: Watching the IPO season, is that twenty twenty six is
- 10:48Speaker 6: the final year of the cycle.
- 10:49Speaker 1: But we'll have to see, all right, So you have
- 10:53Speaker 1: some people calling for twenty six being the final year. Yeah,
- 10:56Speaker 1: you have Tom Lee looking at twenty seven being a.
- 10:58Speaker 2: Blow off top for this market.
- 11:00Speaker 1: You look at SpaceX's IPO and the potential right now
- 11:04Speaker 1: for a two trillion dollar IPO is skyrocketing. The likelihood
- 11:08Speaker 1: this could actually go above two trillion. So the real
- 11:10Speaker 1: question because if you look at the next one at
- 11:12Speaker 1: two point two trillion, it's hold in a sixty seven
- 11:14Speaker 1: percent probability. That in itself, I think starts to really
- 11:18Speaker 1: change things up a little bit. And the reason is
- 11:20Speaker 1: liquidity in the market. What will we see when it
- 11:24Speaker 1: comes to other categories where this is precious metals, other
- 11:29Speaker 1: areas within the traditional finance markets, or even risk assets.
- 11:33Speaker 1: And I think that's the real question that will play
- 11:35Speaker 1: out in the coming months going into midterms. One of
- 11:39Speaker 1: the biggest things that will of course focus on that
- 11:42Speaker 1: is how macro is all going to be lining up.
- 11:44Speaker 1: Macro not lining up necessarily perfect because Iran has suspended
- 11:48Speaker 1: talks with US over these most recent strikes with Israel
- 11:51Speaker 1: on Lebanon. This of course gets into a whole issue
- 11:55Speaker 1: guys on how does this end? When does the US
- 11:59Speaker 1: and Trump have a true off ramp. And I think
- 12:01Speaker 1: that's the challenge that we're faced with right now. President
- 12:05Speaker 1: Trump says he's in no hurry to make a deal
- 12:08Speaker 1: with Iran if we don't get what we want. Here's
- 12:10Speaker 1: my thinking is that you've got someone like the RCG
- 12:15Speaker 1: who hasn't necessarily held to any of their agreements in
- 12:18Speaker 1: the past. Why not just make an agreement, not worry
- 12:21Speaker 1: about it, say you've won, get the off ramp, move
- 12:23Speaker 1: along and deal with that. I think the issue that
- 12:27Speaker 1: Trump is dealing with now is we're ninety three days
- 12:31Speaker 1: in on this war and the straight up her moves
- 12:34Speaker 1: is still strangling energy worldwide. And that's a big problem
- 12:38Speaker 1: when you look at it. Look at this exceon mobile.
- 12:41Speaker 1: Their senior VP says global oil inventories now are approaching
- 12:45Speaker 1: record loads and that prices will spike sharply within weeks.
- 12:51Speaker 2: And that's where we are right now.
- 12:52Speaker 1: And if Trump is in no hurry to get this going,
- 12:56Speaker 1: what does that do to the US market? I think
- 12:58Speaker 1: that puts a lot of pressure on the Republicans. It
- 13:01Speaker 1: starts to really change the landscape in DC, and it
- 13:04Speaker 1: will most likely give a red carpet to the Democrats
- 13:10Speaker 1: taking over the Senate coming midterms. Speaking of regulatory outline,
- 13:14Speaker 1: you've got the Clarity Act absolutely plummeting right now on
- 13:17Speaker 1: a forty eight percent chance, up from around sixty one
- 13:21Speaker 1: percent just yesterday. Here on Monday, we've plummeted down to
- 13:24Speaker 1: forty eight percent. The likelihood of clarity is quickly waning, guys,
- 13:29Speaker 1: and this is a huge issue. If they can't turn
- 13:32Speaker 1: it around, doesn't mean they won't because there will be
- 13:35Speaker 1: all of a sudden some sort of deal on the backside.
- 13:37Speaker 1: But I think with everything that's happening on a global side,
- 13:40Speaker 1: what's happening with the Trump administration, as you heard Mike
- 13:43Speaker 1: Novogratz talk about the amount of corrupt at least perception,
- 13:48Speaker 1: is starting to affect the markets in a very negative way.
- 13:51Speaker 1: Let me go to this from Raul Powell because he
- 13:54Speaker 1: breaks down whether or not we get retail coming back
- 13:57Speaker 1: into this market. Because remember, entry points are the potential
- 14:01Speaker 1: where you could see markets.
- 14:03Speaker 2: At the right place at the right time.
- 14:05Speaker 8: Take a look, retail is driven by the fastest possible returns.
- 14:12Speaker 8: If you go with the thesis that most retail investors,
- 14:15Speaker 8: the robin Hood crowd and the coinbased crowd, they're generally
- 14:19Speaker 8: in their twenties and thirties, they generally can't afford a house,
- 14:24Speaker 8: they're generally working two or three jobs, and they're looking
- 14:28Speaker 8: for a way out, and so they will speculate. They're
- 14:32Speaker 8: also a gaming generation, so losing your life is not
- 14:35Speaker 8: the end of the world, because you lose it in
- 14:37Speaker 8: games and you start again.
- 14:38Speaker 5: Right.
- 14:39Speaker 8: They grew up on gaming, So it's a risk taking culture,
- 14:43Speaker 8: and it's a logical risk taking culture when there's no
- 14:46Speaker 8: way of getting out of the trap unless you take risk.
- 14:49Speaker 8: So if the returns start coming back to crypto, and
- 14:52Speaker 8: we know that overtime crypto's outperformed at post a char
- 14:54Speaker 8: on x recently about the gold crypto ratio, I mean,
- 15:00Speaker 8: I mean since twenty twenty, I think bitcoins outperform gold
- 15:04Speaker 8: by eighty seven and a half percent. So as soon
- 15:07Speaker 8: as crypto starts moving, it has that super massive black
- 15:11Speaker 8: hole effect because it outforms everything and it just sucks
- 15:13Speaker 8: in capital. So they will be back. They didn't leave
- 15:16Speaker 8: crypto forever, they just lost their stake at the casino.
- 15:20Speaker 8: And if they've got a stake, they went elsewhere, to
- 15:22Speaker 8: the different casino, and they'll come back to whatever casino
- 15:25Speaker 8: pays the best odds.
- 15:26Speaker 1: Well, I do agree with that whatever casino plays the
- 15:29Speaker 1: best odds what you have right now between retail and
- 15:32Speaker 1: institutional and even high networth is you're taking a look
- 15:35Speaker 1: at where the market sets up, and I think if
- 15:38Speaker 1: we do see a blowoff top, is there an alternative
- 15:41Speaker 1: where we start to see a shift going into some.
- 15:43Speaker 2: Of these risk assets.
- 15:44Speaker 1: Things that people will look at is some of the fundamentals.
- 15:48Speaker 1: One of the things they might consider is this right here,
- 15:50Speaker 1: Swift confirming over fifty major banks will implement crypto rails
- 15:53Speaker 1: for cross border payments. That includes pretty much everyone out there.
- 15:58Speaker 1: That's the question mark I think that a lot of
- 16:00Speaker 1: investors are looking at today. Is this a legitimate asset class.
- 16:04Speaker 1: Will it be one of the majors that starts to
- 16:07Speaker 1: maybe recover first, because it's definitely not in that phase
- 16:10Speaker 1: right now. That's the question mark everybody's looking to answer.
- 16:14Speaker 1: We're going to be covering this and more because there's
- 16:15Speaker 1: a lot happening this week. If you like this video,
