- 0:00Speaker 1: You're waking up to Denver's Morning.
- 0:02Speaker 2: Show with Nina and Josh.
- 0:04Speaker 1: Mix 100.
- 0:05Speaker 3: We are in the beginning stages of October here, so
- 0:08Speaker 3: it's officially spooky season and all these celebs are kind
- 0:12Speaker 3: of getting in on that action as well, especially when
- 0:15Speaker 3: it comes to Universal Studios Hollywood's Halloween Horror Nights. Yeah,
- 0:19Speaker 3: it kicked off last Thursday, and a couple of celebs
- 0:22Speaker 3: played along in costume. I didn't realize that sometimes they
- 0:25Speaker 3: do this, which is kind of cool. They dress up
- 0:28Speaker 3: as the people that are scaring you when you go
- 0:31Speaker 3: to Universal Studios.
- 0:32Speaker 1: No way.
- 0:33Speaker 2: Sometimes. Not all the time.
- 0:34Speaker 1: That's cool.
- 0:35Speaker 2: But sometimes.
- 0:36Speaker 3: And for opening night, Jack Osborne and his daughter Pearl,
- 0:40Speaker 3: they did the honors at a new Ozzy Osbourne dedicated
- 0:44Speaker 3: haunted house.
- 0:45Speaker 2: So isn't that sweet?
- 0:46Speaker 1: I feel like that one's scary, too.
- 0:48Speaker 2: I know, exactly. So it's called Ozzy Osbourne, Prince of Darkness.
- 0:51Speaker 3: And Jack and his daughter, they were turned into bloody
- 0:56Speaker 3: bat-priest hybrids.
- 0:57Speaker 1: Wow.
- 0:58Speaker 2: But, you know, it goes along with the Ozzy theme, right?
- 1:02Speaker 1: Especially the bat.
- 1:03Speaker 2: Exactly, exactly. But they had a lot of fun. He
- 1:06Speaker 2: put a couple of clips online and just showed off
- 1:10Speaker 2: all of the amazing makeup work and the costumes and
- 1:13Speaker 2: all of that. And them scaring everyone. And they just
- 1:16Speaker 2: had a lot of fun. And it was just really cute.
- 1:18Speaker 3: And I wonder if in a way, you know, that
- 1:20Speaker 3: was very healing for Jack since his father had passed away.
- 1:23Speaker 1: Yeah, absolutely.
- 1:24Speaker 2: Yeah, playing homage to him.
- 1:26Speaker 3: So it was just really, really a cool thing that
- 1:27Speaker 3: he was able to do with his daughter over the weekend.
- 1:29Speaker 1: Well, that's cute. And that would be something really cool
- 1:31Speaker 1: to actually take part in, you know, and be a
- 1:32Speaker 1: part of as well. And also experience as like a
- 1:34Speaker 1: fan of it. I think that'd be really cool because
- 1:36Speaker 1: those Aussie fans are amazing. diehards, right?
- 1:38Speaker 2: Yes, exactly.
- 1:39Speaker 1: Well, Zach Bryan's in the news. He just did a
- 1:42Speaker 1: two-night stand at Gillette Stadium, and why is that important
- 1:46Speaker 1: at all? Well, Gillette Stadium is owned by Robert Kraft,
- 1:48Speaker 1: and that whole thing with Macklemore and Robert Kraft and
- 1:51Speaker 1: Ed Sheeran that we all talked about for weeks on
- 1:54Speaker 1: end is kind of coming back to light, because Zach
- 1:55Speaker 1: Bryan decided to wear a free Palestine t-shirt on night
- 2:00Speaker 1: two of back-to-back shows of the Gillette Stadium tour. The
- 2:03Speaker 1: shirt also featured us saying an appeal to heaven, which
- 2:06Speaker 1: is a Revolutionary War slogan tied to George Washington. I
- 2:09Speaker 1: didn't know that.
- 2:10Speaker 2: I don't know about that. Yeah, I don't know about
- 2:11Speaker 2: that part.
- 2:11Speaker 1: All right. Well, this gesture appeared directed at Robert Kraft.
- 2:15Speaker 1: I think anybody that wears anything to do with Palestine
- 2:17Speaker 1: at that stadium is going to be kind of tied
- 2:20Speaker 1: to him. For sure. And we all know what happened there.
- 2:23Speaker 1: He kind of, Robert Kraft kind of told, you know, Macklemore,
- 2:27Speaker 1: all that stuff, made donations, blah, blah, blah. We know
- 2:29Speaker 1: that story already. Well, several other bandmates, joined Brian in
- 2:33Speaker 1: his show with Solidarity. Nate Head wore a Gaza jersey
- 2:37Speaker 1: with one person's name on there that was killed in
- 2:41Speaker 1: Palestine in January of 2024 due to Israeli forces. And
- 2:44Speaker 1: then another one wore a green Palestine's jersey. But the
- 2:46Speaker 1: thing that is important about this as well is Brian's
- 2:49Speaker 1: second show actually broke the venue's all-time attendance record. This
- 2:55Speaker 1: dude had so many people there Which is, I mean,
- 3:00Speaker 1: a tribute to his good music writing and his band's
- 3:03Speaker 1: performance and everything like that. But also at the same time,
- 3:06Speaker 1: I don't think people are starting to really care what
- 3:07Speaker 1: you're standing for, which I like. If you have good
- 3:09Speaker 1: music and you play good shows, people still want to come.
- 3:12Speaker 1: And that's really important.
- 3:13Speaker 2: For sure. One thing I will say, you said he
- 3:15Speaker 2: wore that t-shirt one night. He wore it both nights.
- 3:18Speaker 1: Did he wear it both nights?
- 3:18Speaker 3: He wore it both nights. And that first night, it
- 3:21Speaker 3: was kind of hush hush. No one said anything. I
- 3:23Speaker 3: think Zach might have posted it on his Instagram and
- 3:26Speaker 3: some people on the internet said stuff. but then he
- 3:28Speaker 3: wore it the second night as well, and that's when
- 3:30Speaker 3: he broke that attendance record, so.
- 3:32Speaker 2: It was a little bit of a bigger deal, I guess.
- 3:35Speaker 1: Oh, absolutely, and I think, again, it just goes to
- 3:37Speaker 1: show I love that we can believe what we want
- 3:40Speaker 1: to believe, and you can still come together and enjoy
- 3:42Speaker 1: good music. That makes me very happy, to be honest. Totally, absolutely.
- 3:46Speaker 2: I love it.
- 3:46Speaker 3: And that is your Celebrity Quickie on Denver's Morning Show.
- 3:49Speaker 3: Catch it again with more stories every hour on the
- 3:52Speaker 3: 15s on Mix 100, and coming up in just a
- 3:56Speaker 3: couple of minutes, Josh and I are going to talk
- 3:58Speaker 3: about our weekend. Some of it we spent together, some
- 4:00Speaker 3: of it we spent apart, but both of us spent
- 4:03Speaker 3: it a little bit heartbroken.
- 4:04Speaker 2: So I know we'll talk about it coming up on
- 4:07Speaker 2: Mix 100.
- 4:07Speaker 3: So Josh, over the weekend, we did see each other.
- 4:10Speaker 3: We were hanging out in the suite at the Avs
- 4:13Speaker 3: game on Saturday.
- 4:15Speaker 1: Little Suite Life action there. That was fun. Right.
- 4:17Speaker 2: It was fun. And we got a W. We got
- 4:20Speaker 2: a win. That was great.
- 4:22Speaker 1: Nina, there was not a lot of winning over this weekend,
- 4:26Speaker 1: and it's kind of heartbreaking. I mean, the Nuggets, preseason action,
- 4:29Speaker 1: so it doesn't really, really matter. They lost last night.
- 4:32Speaker 1: The Broncos, that was the big one.
- 4:34Speaker 2: Man, that was hard.
- 4:36Speaker 1: Big L in San Fran, and that was such a
- 4:38Speaker 1: bummer because not only did they take the loss there, However,
- 4:41Speaker 1: a lot of injuries happened. That's not good. We're still
- 4:45Speaker 1: waiting on a few, hoping, fingers crossed, toes crossed, that
- 4:48Speaker 1: they're not major injuries. Because those are some major players,
- 4:52Speaker 1: especially our cornerbacks one and two there. Pat Sertan getting injured,
- 4:56Speaker 1: hoping it's not a big deal. But also CU and
- 4:59Speaker 1: CSU both lost. So it was a major losing weekend.
- 5:02Speaker 1: And the lone bright spot was the game that you
- 5:04Speaker 1: and I were at.
- 5:05Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, for sure.
- 5:06Speaker 1: That's kind of nice. You know what?
- 5:08Speaker 2: And I know we're good luck, obviously, but we can't
- 5:11Speaker 2: be everywhere.
- 5:11Speaker 1: No, we're only two people, Nina. That's the hard part.
- 5:14Speaker 1: I know. It's such a bummer. I did want to
- 5:16Speaker 1: talk about one thing quickly that I found kind of
- 5:19Speaker 1: funny in this entire weekend of losses. CSU, go Rammies.
- 5:24Speaker 1: I'm a Colorado State alum, so this does kind of
- 5:26Speaker 1: pertain to me. I follow the team. I know they're
- 5:30Speaker 1: not great. However, they did get a new coaching staff
- 5:32Speaker 1: this offseason. Jim Mora is an awesome dude. He's been
- 5:36Speaker 1: around coaching for forever. He fired the defensive coordinator halfway
- 5:41Speaker 1: through the game.
- 5:43Speaker 2: What?
- 5:44Speaker 1: Literally at halftime.
- 5:45Speaker 2: During the game?
- 5:46Speaker 1: During the game. At halftime told him. Take off your
- 5:49Speaker 1: headset and don't come back. Stop calling plays.
- 5:52Speaker 2: Crazy. But why? Did he say something that was inappropriate?
- 5:57Speaker 1: No, the thing that happened, I think, I think was
- 6:00Speaker 1: CSU has been able to score a lot of points
- 6:02Speaker 1: this year. They've been on offense pretty darn good. However,
- 6:05Speaker 1: on the defensive side of the ball, they have allowed
- 6:08Speaker 1: so many touchdowns, Nina. So, so, so many points on
- 6:12Speaker 1: the defensive side. And that is something that you cannot do. So,
- 6:15Speaker 1: In the 56-26, I believe, score, the route that CSU
- 6:20Speaker 1: took on Saturday, halfway through that game, head coach just
- 6:24Speaker 1: had enough. He was like, you got to stop. Wow.
- 6:26Speaker 1: Just go home, dude. Just get out of here. Go home.
- 6:29Speaker 1: Take off your headset. And so the CSU defensive coordinator
- 6:31Speaker 1: was like, all right. Okay, I guess. Sure, whatever.
- 6:35Speaker 2: What else am I going to do?
- 6:36Speaker 1: I know. Yikes. I've never seen anything like that.
- 6:39Speaker 2: Yikes.
- 6:40Speaker 1: Pro level, college level, I've never seen anybody do that.
- 6:42Speaker 1: literally get fired halfway through the game. So that was
- 6:46Speaker 1: definitely an interesting thing to see.
- 6:49Speaker 2: A little shocking. Did that make national headlines or anything
- 6:52Speaker 2: anywhere else?
- 6:52Speaker 1: Oh, yeah.
- 6:53Speaker 2: No, it was everywhere.
- 6:54Speaker 1: It was all over social media, too. I mean, X
- 6:56Speaker 1: blew up with it. They're like, oh, yeah, by the way,
- 6:58Speaker 1: CSU fired their defensive coordinator halfway through the game.
- 7:01Speaker 2: That's crazy.
- 7:02Speaker 1: Like, what?
- 7:03Speaker 2: Yeah. That's a little, I don't know, is that uncalled for?
- 7:06Speaker 2: Was that something that could have waited?
- 7:08Speaker 3: Or was the coach just truly at his limit Is
- 7:11Speaker 3: it justified to be like, okay, we're done?
- 7:13Speaker 1: Okay, so he had a post-game interview, and they were like, hey,
- 7:18Speaker 1: we noticed the defensive coordinator was not on the sidelines
- 7:21Speaker 1: the second half of the game. And he was like, yeah, no,
- 7:24Speaker 1: I told him to stop calling plays. He was like,
- 7:26Speaker 1: he will also be relieved of duties and will not
- 7:28Speaker 1: be on the coaching staff anymore.
- 7:29Speaker 2: Wow.
- 7:30Speaker 1: I know, he was unapologetic.
- 7:31Speaker 2: He just doubled down.
- 7:32Speaker 1: Unapologetic about it, yeah. Wow, okay. Which... Look for him.
- 7:36Speaker 2: If you're going to make a decision like that, you
- 7:37Speaker 2: better stick with it.
- 7:38Speaker 1: Absolutely. Stick with your guns. I mean, he didn't back
- 7:40Speaker 1: down at all. So if you know ball and want
- 7:43Speaker 1: to go live up in Fort Collins, they have an opening.
- 7:46Speaker 1: There is an opening.
- 7:48Speaker 2: Check it out.
- 7:48Speaker 1: Go Rammies.
- 7:50Speaker 3: Three things you need to know before you go into
- 7:52Speaker 3: the office today. Like we are getting ready for the
- 7:55Speaker 3: November election. So Colorado voters are going to start seeing
- 7:59Speaker 3: their ballots in their mailbox as of this week. And
- 8:02Speaker 3: election officials are are trying to make sure that you
- 8:06Speaker 3: know that they are testing all the machines very routinely.
- 8:09Speaker 3: They have an internal test, they do a public test,
- 8:12Speaker 3: and they do a post-election test numerous times throughout the years.
- 8:16Speaker 3: And this assures that the machines are counting your votes correctly.
- 8:20Speaker 3: If you decide to mail in your ballot, drop it off,
- 8:22Speaker 3: or do it in person, either way, just know your
- 8:25Speaker 3: vote very much counts.
- 8:27Speaker 2: It is important.
- 8:28Speaker 3: So just make sure you look at all that info
- 8:30Speaker 3: early and you get that vote in because these ballots
- 8:33Speaker 3: are looking pretty big this year, just so you know.
- 8:36Speaker 1: Yeah. And I think it's one of the things that
- 8:38Speaker 1: people are always like, you know, do our votes actually count? Yes,
- 8:41Speaker 1: they do. And it's something that it doesn't matter who
- 8:43Speaker 1: you vote for, what you vote for. It's kind of
- 8:46Speaker 1: what you should do. You know, it's the right thing
- 8:48Speaker 1: to do if you are able to. And they make
- 8:50Speaker 1: it very easy for you. You don't have to go
- 8:51Speaker 1: in there and vote anymore. You can mail it in.
- 8:53Speaker 1: You can drop it off, whatever you want to do.
- 8:54Speaker 1: However you want to do it. And to be ensured
- 8:57Speaker 1: that the vote counts.
- 8:58Speaker 2: I like that.
- 8:58Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 8:59Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 8:59Speaker 2: Most definitely. So just make sure you look at all
- 9:01Speaker 2: that info early.
- 9:02Speaker 1: All right, Nina. This is an interesting story. First of all,
- 9:06Speaker 1: I want to ask you, do you think you have
- 9:08Speaker 1: your Halloween costume picked out or narrowed down yet?
- 9:10Speaker 2: Oh, my gosh. My husband's driving me insane because I
- 9:13Speaker 2: thought we had a costume kind of figured out. And
- 9:16Speaker 2: now he's changing his mind. He doesn't like it anymore.
- 9:18Speaker 1: Oh, he's the one changing his mind. Yeah. Yeah.
- 9:21Speaker 3: And we don't always do couples costumes, but we kind
- 9:24Speaker 3: of decided, yeah, we wanted to do one this year,
- 9:26Speaker 3: and now he's changing his mind. So I'm like, figure
- 9:28Speaker 3: it out, please, and let me know ASAP.
- 9:30Speaker 1: Well, first of all, that's cute, but I can give
- 9:31Speaker 1: you a little tidbit on what not to go as
- 9:34Speaker 1: this year, okay? Please. So there has been a poll
- 9:36Speaker 1: of what is the most outplayed costume over the years,
- 9:40Speaker 1: and it is by far, in a way... Sexy anything.
- 9:45Speaker 1: They're saying in a new survey, everyone has talked about
- 9:48Speaker 1: the sexy version of put it in, anything. Sexy cat,
- 9:52Speaker 1: sexy mouse, sexy SpongeBob. It's just overplayed. It's not funny anymore.
- 9:59Speaker 1: It's too many people. do it. They also said the
- 10:01Speaker 1: runner up for those costumes was pirate costumes, I guess
- 10:05Speaker 1: way too many people do pirate costumes. They said that
- 10:08Speaker 1: Joker costume, which I think is very funny because I
- 10:10Speaker 1: was the Joker last year, so that one's outplayed, and
- 10:13Speaker 1: they said anything else like that, cowboys, cowgirls, Harley Quinn,
- 10:17Speaker 1: hippies apparently, Minions, Mimes, and then Where's Waldo. They said
- 10:21Speaker 1: that is absolutely the most outplayed ones altogether. Yeah, I
- 10:26Speaker 1: guess so. And then they said, this one kind of
- 10:28Speaker 1: bummed me out a little bit though. Adults are kind
- 10:31Speaker 1: of souring on dressing up altogether. They said about 25%
- 10:35Speaker 1: of adults say they don't plan to even, or they
- 10:38Speaker 1: do plan to dress up for Halloween this year. But 70,
- 10:41Speaker 1: around 70% of Americans said that you're never too old
- 10:44Speaker 1: to dress up even though they're not going to.
- 10:46Speaker 2: So I'm like, you guys are like, I support you,
- 10:49Speaker 2: but I'm not going to do it.
- 10:50Speaker 1: Exactly. You know, it's like Scrooge McDuck over here. I'm like,
- 10:53Speaker 1: what are you doing? You're saying, oh yeah, it's totally fine.
- 10:55Speaker 1: You're never too old to dress up. I'm just not
- 10:57Speaker 1: gonna do it. I'm like, let's have some fun, right?
- 10:59Speaker 3: Well, and Halloween being on a Saturday this year, I
- 11:01Speaker 3: think it gives everyone a reason to go out and
- 11:05Speaker 3: have fun this year.
- 11:05Speaker 2: If you didn't do anything the last few years, this
- 11:08Speaker 2: is the year to do it.
- 11:09Speaker 3: On a Saturday, go out, have some Halloween fun, whether
- 11:12Speaker 3: it's Friday or Saturday night.
- 11:14Speaker 2: You know people are gonna be partying all weekend.
- 11:16Speaker 1: See, and that gives you the go, like that's the
- 11:18Speaker 1: green light right there. You can party all weekend, and
- 11:19Speaker 1: that's what I'm gonna be doing. I'm excited for it.
- 11:22Speaker 2: Right, so there you go. Have some fun with Halloween
- 11:23Speaker 2: this year.
- 11:24Speaker 1: Just don't be sexy. No.
- 11:26Speaker 3: And Denver's first ever Porch Fest hit the Baker neighborhood
- 11:30Speaker 3: this past Saturday. So a lot of big cities have
- 11:32Speaker 3: done Porch Fest, like Chicago, Atlanta, Boston. But to everyone's surprise,
- 11:37Speaker 3: it has not come to Denver until this year.
- 11:41Speaker 2: Porch Fest got.
- 11:43Speaker 3: 193 local and small bands at 85 different locations on
- 11:48Speaker 3: the Porch's porch. of restaurants and people's actual houses along
- 11:53Speaker 3: South Broadway this past weekend, and people had a great time.
- 11:57Speaker 2: I heard about it earlier.
- 11:58Speaker 3: I did not go, but I didn't realize it was
- 12:01Speaker 3: this past weekend. And it looked cool, Josh. Like, literally,
- 12:05Speaker 3: you're in someone's front yard.
- 12:06Speaker 1: Okay.
- 12:08Speaker 3: And they open up the front yard of their house.
- 12:10Speaker 3: They're setting it up. A band is playing on the porch,
- 12:13Speaker 3: and you're in their yard singing. listening to live music.
- 12:16Speaker 3: And there's a band on this porch right here, and
- 12:19Speaker 3: then another one two doors down, and then another one
- 12:21Speaker 3: down the street over this way, and then another one
- 12:23Speaker 3: at the restaurant around the corner. And you just bop
- 12:26Speaker 3: around to these different bands playing on different porches.
- 12:29Speaker 1: That's sick, first of all. I've never heard of this.
- 12:31Speaker 1: I've never heard of anything like this. So this is
- 12:34Speaker 1: a completely new concept to me. I'm a huge fan
- 12:37Speaker 1: of that. First of all, I love live music. I
- 12:39Speaker 1: think it's one of my favorite pastimes. I absolutely love
- 12:41Speaker 1: going to concerts, whether they're big, small, doesn't matter. So
- 12:45Speaker 1: this idea to me is fantastic. Isn't it cool? And
- 12:47Speaker 1: I would have loved to be a part of this.
- 12:49Speaker 2: I know.
- 12:49Speaker 3: So this was the first year that it came to Denver.
- 12:52Speaker 3: So I'm hoping it comes back for year two. And
- 12:54Speaker 3: next year we'll be more on top of it so
- 12:57Speaker 3: that way we can actually go.
- 12:58Speaker 2: And hey, Josh, who knows? Maybe I can get you
- 13:00Speaker 2: on someone's porch and you just play a bunch of
- 13:02Speaker 2: covers of songs.
- 13:03Speaker 1: I will jam the head. heck out of that are
- 13:05Speaker 1: you kidding me absolutely.
- 13:08Speaker 2: Okay all right next year porch fest we got to
- 13:10Speaker 2: get josh on someone's porch sounds good josh.
- 13:13Speaker 3: You know there are a lot of problems that are
- 13:16Speaker 3: coming out of this very warm winter or very warm
- 13:19Speaker 3: summer that we had a very warm year fires all
- 13:22Speaker 3: of that We know that the bears right now are everywhere.
- 13:25Speaker 2: They're getting ready for hibernation.
- 13:27Speaker 3: They are looking for last minute food everywhere. I saw
- 13:31Speaker 3: them up at a farmer's market in Aspen. I think
- 13:33Speaker 3: it was last weekend. Larkspur has been having a huge
- 13:37Speaker 3: issue with bears coming around in the neighborhoods.
- 13:41Speaker 2: And now bears everywhere. are going for some Burger King.
- 13:44Speaker 1: Well, what's funny about this is I think bears, because
- 13:47Speaker 1: of them being so close to humans this last year, essentially,
- 13:51Speaker 1: they're starting to get a little comfortable with the human food, okay?
- 13:56Speaker 2: Too comfortable.
- 13:58Speaker 1: There is a bear that was caught on camera in
- 14:02Speaker 1: Tennessee because he was breaking into a car and because
- 14:06Speaker 1: it smelled leftover Burger King on the inside. So first
- 14:08Speaker 1: of all, as humans, don't leave food in your car.
- 14:10Speaker 1: Right now, especially, it is the wrong time to do that, okay?
- 14:14Speaker 2: Yeah, they're even warning about pumpkins on your front porch.
- 14:16Speaker 1: Oh, seriously.
- 14:17Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah.
- 14:18Speaker 1: And it's also a great time to have a ring camera.
- 14:19Speaker 1: So what happened was security camera footage caught a black
- 14:22Speaker 1: bear approaching a vehicle and essentially smashing a window to
- 14:27Speaker 1: get the leftover food inside after breaking the glass. This
- 14:31Speaker 1: was the funniest part. After breaking the glass, Nina, I
- 14:33Speaker 1: saw the bear- Like, it makes a noise, okay, right?
- 14:36Speaker 1: The glass shatters. What the bear does is so human,
- 14:39Speaker 1: it's almost creepy.
- 14:41Speaker 2: Is it weird? What happened?
- 14:41Speaker 1: He looks around to see, like... Anybody hear that? Anybody
- 14:45Speaker 1: see what's going on here? No. Like, literally checks 360
- 14:48Speaker 1: degrees just to make sure nobody's there and then goes,
- 14:50Speaker 1: all right, I think I can grab the food. So
- 14:52Speaker 1: he goes back inside the car and starts just... horking
- 14:55Speaker 1: down the Burger King, right?
- 14:57Speaker 2: Of course.
- 14:58Speaker 1: It's so funny. So unfortunately, the car did suffer the
- 15:01Speaker 1: shattered window. It had some broken trim, some torn up,
- 15:03Speaker 1: like the bear, it's a bear in your car. Right.
- 15:05Speaker 1: It's going to be pretty rough and tumble around it. Right.
- 15:08Speaker 1: But I mean, seriously, to just get there for a
- 15:11Speaker 1: Whopper or whatever it got in there. I mean, I
- 15:12Speaker 1: don't know what they had, some chicken fries, maybe. I
- 15:14Speaker 1: don't know.
- 15:14Speaker 2: And like to leave your leftover Burger King in the car.
- 15:16Speaker 2: I'm sorry. It's not good.
- 15:18Speaker 1: Well, and it was overnight.
- 15:18Speaker 2: It's not going to be good anymore.
- 15:19Speaker 1: And I understand people are busy. Like, I have so
- 15:21Speaker 1: many things in my hands when I carry it into
- 15:23Speaker 1: work or into my house or whatever.
- 15:25Speaker 2: Or maybe kids left it back there in the backseat.
- 15:27Speaker 1: Totally understand. That is absolutely understandable. I know I left
- 15:29Speaker 1: fries in my mom's car for about years, you know?
- 15:32Speaker 1: It's just one of those things. But if you can,
- 15:35Speaker 1: I mean, really try. Because bears have the sense of
- 15:37Speaker 1: smell like none other. Yeah.
- 15:38Speaker 2: They rely on that. That's what they, they use it.
- 15:41Speaker 2: It's a tool to find their food.
- 15:43Speaker 1: And yeah, but they'll smell the Whopper from a mile
- 15:44Speaker 1: or two away. Like that's the thing. And so just
- 15:47Speaker 1: be careful. This is a word to the wise. Again,
- 15:49Speaker 1: it's still, it's crazy right now. We are, we are
- 15:52Speaker 1: in like record breaking weather again this week, Nina, for
- 15:55Speaker 1: a heat wave.
- 15:56Speaker 2: It's very warm.
- 15:56Speaker 1: The bears are going to still be out. Okay. So just,
- 15:58Speaker 1: you know, and we know they've been in Lone Tree.
- 16:00Speaker 1: They've been in Aspen. They've been all over the high country,
- 16:03Speaker 1: but they've made their way down into Denver as well.
- 16:06Speaker 1: So just, Be aware, you know, even in your trash cans,
- 16:09Speaker 1: just make sure that you're, you know, able to not
- 16:12Speaker 1: have the bears get in. We lock our trash cans. Like,
- 16:14Speaker 1: I make sure my trash cans are locked away on
- 16:17Speaker 1: the days that they're not locked. you know, set out
- 16:19Speaker 1: for the actual trash people, you know? So I don't know,
- 16:21Speaker 1: just be smart about it and really don't leave food
- 16:23Speaker 1: in your car. Cause that's like the worst thing. Are
- 16:25Speaker 1: you a type of person that leaves stuff in your
- 16:26Speaker 1: car all the time?
- 16:27Speaker 2: I really don't. I try not to.
- 16:29Speaker 3: I am like, I'm going to try to like take
- 16:31Speaker 3: care of my car, keep things clean for the most part.
- 16:33Speaker 3: I mean, ignore besides the dog hair that.
- 16:36Speaker 2: Is absolutely everywhere.
- 16:37Speaker 1: That doesn't count.
- 16:39Speaker 3: Then, yeah, I try to keep my car pretty clean.
- 16:42Speaker 3: And they even say no gum, no mints, things like that.
- 16:45Speaker 3: Because the bear, that's still a scent.
- 16:48Speaker 1: Yeah. They want to have minty fresh breath? Is that
- 16:50Speaker 1: a thing? I don't know. I always have gum in
- 16:53Speaker 1: my car. Food!
- 16:55Speaker 2: Food to a bear. Doesn't matter if it's minty or not, Josh.
- 16:58Speaker 1: You're just blowing bubbles in there?
- 17:00Speaker 2: Yes, exactly. It's your Celebrity Quickie and over the weekend.
- 17:04Speaker 3: If you were watching Saturday Night Live, you already know
- 17:08Speaker 3: Dakota Johnson was hosting and her new bestie came along
- 17:12Speaker 3: to support Taylor Swift.
- 17:14Speaker 2: All of a sudden pops up on stage.
- 17:16Speaker 1: Whoa.
- 17:17Speaker 2: Yeah, so she stayed pretty much just for the intro.
- 17:20Speaker 3: She didn't do skits or anything like that. She left
- 17:22Speaker 3: that up to Dakota Johnson. But it was during Dakota's
- 17:25Speaker 3: opening monologue, and the crowd absolutely loved it. And Taylor,
- 17:31Speaker 3: for I feel like the first time, was just on
- 17:33Speaker 3: the other side of the relationship jokes because they talked
- 17:37Speaker 3: about Dakota's terrible dating life.
- 17:39Speaker 1: Yeah, she kind of has a history of that, doesn't she?
- 17:42Speaker 2: She does, she does.
- 17:42Speaker 3: And you know, it is what it is with Taylor Swift.
- 17:44Speaker 3: And she's written songs about it. And it's just a
- 17:47Speaker 3: very big narrative in her life.
- 17:49Speaker 2: Yes, of course, of course.
- 17:51Speaker 3: But yeah, I bet that it was interesting for Taylor
- 17:54Speaker 3: to truly be on the other side of it. And
- 17:56Speaker 3: I know it was all jokes, of course, scripted, whatever,
- 17:59Speaker 3: for SNL. But the fact that she was on the
- 18:01Speaker 3: other side of it, it probably felt a little good
- 18:03Speaker 3: for Taylor.
- 18:04Speaker 1: Yeah, she probably loved it. Are you kidding me?
- 18:05Speaker 2: She's like, look at my friend. They're a hot mess
- 18:07Speaker 2: because of boys.
- 18:08Speaker 1: This feels great. Finally, I'm not the butt of the joke.
- 18:12Speaker 1: I mean, come on.
- 18:13Speaker 2: Exactly. But people were absolutely loving it. And I love
- 18:17Speaker 2: that Taylor Swift and Dakota Johnson are new besties now.
- 18:21Speaker 1: Yeah, they're absolute besties. They've been spotted in several different areas,
- 18:24Speaker 1: spending time together, having a good time, which is fun.
- 18:26Speaker 1: I mean, Taylor needs someone like that that is like,
- 18:29Speaker 1: On a level of fame to where they don't hold
- 18:31Speaker 1: Taylor on a pedestal, you know? Yeah. Dakota's her own very,
- 18:35Speaker 1: very famous woman. So they can just have fun together, right?
- 18:37Speaker 2: Meanwhile, Blake Lively is at home cringing.
- 18:40Speaker 1: We don't need to talk about her. Well, this has
- 18:42Speaker 1: been an odd summer for Tony Romo. So the old
- 18:46Speaker 1: Cowboys quarterback was arrested in July, I believe, for a
- 18:50Speaker 1: DUI incident. He's been... with CBS for years and years
- 18:53Speaker 1: now as an NFL commentator. He's a very good color commentator.
- 18:57Speaker 1: And CBS and him said that they have finally mutually
- 19:01Speaker 1: agreed to part ways. They said, we thank Tony for
- 19:04Speaker 1: his contributions over the past nine years, and we wish
- 19:06Speaker 1: him the best moving forward. Now, Tony, this does kind
- 19:09Speaker 1: of come from what happened over the summer with the DUI. However,
- 19:13Speaker 1: he signed a 10-year, $ 180 million deal with CBS back
- 19:15Speaker 1: in 2020.
- 19:20Speaker 2: Oh.
- 19:21Speaker 1: First of all, where are our contracts coming from?
- 19:23Speaker 2: Right? That $ 10 million.
- 19:24Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yeah, right? I'm thinking about that. Well, anyway,
- 19:27Speaker 1: so the 10-year deal is not up until around the
- 19:30Speaker 1: 2030 season. So he has roughly four years and around
- 19:33Speaker 1: $ 72 million left on his contract, okay? Whoa. So you'd
- 19:38Speaker 1: think that when they cut ties with him, they're going
- 19:40Speaker 1: to be like, hey, you know, we've got to negotiate
- 19:42Speaker 1: a deal here. We'll give you some of that, but
- 19:43Speaker 1: you're not going to get all of it. He's reportedly
- 19:46Speaker 1: going to keep very much of that. So of the
- 19:49Speaker 1: $ 72 million guaranteed in his contract, he's probably going to
- 19:52Speaker 1: keep most of that.
- 19:53Speaker 2: I mean, a contract is a contract. If you're saying
- 19:56Speaker 2: you're going to pay me, you better pay me.
- 19:58Speaker 1: But there's got to be outliers of like, hey, man,
- 20:00Speaker 1: don't get arrested for a DUI. You know, like there's
- 20:03Speaker 1: got to be some things about that. But apparently they're
- 20:05Speaker 1: going to honor the contract. And Tony, I don't know
- 20:08Speaker 1: if he's going to keep all of it, but still
- 20:10Speaker 1: keeping most of the $ 72 million left on your contract
- 20:13Speaker 1: to do nothing anymore. Yeah.
- 20:16Speaker 2: That's amazing.
- 20:16Speaker 1: Where do I sign up for that?
- 20:17Speaker 2: Right? They forgot that part.
- 20:19Speaker 1: I want to be paid 72 mil to go golf. Right?
- 20:21Speaker 2: No, for real. That's pretty incredible.
- 20:24Speaker 1: Ridiculous.
- 20:25Speaker 2: Okay. And Gypsy Rose Blanchard. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I know,
- 20:30Speaker 2: I know. Over this weekend, it's been very interesting on
- 20:32Speaker 2: the internet. I mean, she's been getting dragged with a
- 20:35Speaker 2: lot of people throwing out their assumptions that she has
- 20:38Speaker 2: something to do with her ex-fiance's death and Gypsy... It's
- 20:43Speaker 2: very interesting.
- 20:43Speaker 3: She's trying to get ahead of all of this by
- 20:45Speaker 3: doing something good. She feels it is good, but other
- 20:49Speaker 3: people are kind of side-eyeing it a little bit. So
- 20:51Speaker 3: she is petitioning to stop cyberbullying, which she claims that
- 20:56Speaker 3: her ex, Ken, dealt with. And she's trying to honor
- 20:59Speaker 3: him by putting his name on it, calling Kenan's Law,
- 21:03Speaker 3: that's his real name, otherwise known as the Online Harassment
- 21:07Speaker 3: Reporting and Accountability Act. So she's trying to create this
- 21:12Speaker 3: petition to create an act in honor of her ex
- 21:15Speaker 3: who passed away. And people are like, Gypsy, can we wait?
- 21:21Speaker 2: Can we wait?
- 21:22Speaker 1: This is such a weird situation because obviously a loss
- 21:28Speaker 1: of life happened. That is incredibly sad. But that being said,
- 21:31Speaker 1: she has been really weird about it. She has. She
- 21:32Speaker 1: really has. She kind of has. But she is in
- 21:36Speaker 1: also a horrible position. If she didn't do it, everybody's
- 21:39Speaker 1: going to think she did.
- 21:40Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 21:41Speaker 1: But she's making it almost worse by the statements put
- 21:44Speaker 1: out earlier of like, oh, he was already depressed and
- 21:46Speaker 1: kind of on the verge and cyberbullied.
- 21:48Speaker 3: The night he passed away, she was doing TMZ interviews.
- 21:52Speaker 2: And it's like, Gypsy, no.
- 21:53Speaker 1: It's not a good look. Like, it really isn't. And
- 21:55Speaker 1: then on top of this, it's almost now like you're
- 21:57Speaker 1: doing too much, sweetheart. You know, it's almost like you're
- 22:00Speaker 1: going to the, you know, the nth degree here. What
- 22:03Speaker 1: are you doing? It's just a very weird situation. And
- 22:06Speaker 1: I don't know what to think. I don't know if
- 22:07Speaker 1: she's guilty or not, you know?
- 22:08Speaker 2: I mean, innocent until proven guilty, right?
- 22:12Speaker 1: Absolutely.
- 22:12Speaker 2: And so this is an ongoing investigation. I mean, they
- 22:15Speaker 2: are insinuating it's possible that he had taken his own life.
- 22:18Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 22:19Speaker 2: But again, nothing is official. We don't know anything yet.
- 22:22Speaker 3: But Gypsy is already fighting with his sisters.
- 22:25Speaker 2: They didn't have a good relationship to start with. And
- 22:27Speaker 2: it's just the.
- 22:27Speaker 3: Whole thing is just so messy. It's beyond, beyond messy.
- 22:32Speaker 3: But Gypsy trying to do this and getting these signatures
- 22:35Speaker 3: for this petition, it's like, girl, just sit down and
- 22:38Speaker 3: put your phone away. Like, she needs friends right now
- 22:41Speaker 3: to go to her house and take.
- 22:43Speaker 2: Her phone away.
- 22:44Speaker 1: Well, and you know what's funny is she probably doesn't
- 22:45Speaker 1: know how to handle this because she had been in
- 22:47Speaker 1: prison for so long. Now she's kind of acting like
- 22:50Speaker 1: what the teenage self of us would do when we
- 22:53Speaker 1: were tweeting our feelings back when we were 17. She's like,
- 22:57Speaker 1: I'm feeling all these emotions. What do I do? How
- 22:59Speaker 1: do I deal with this? And it just, it's, I
- 23:01Speaker 1: don't know, it's exponentially worse because she's famous, too.
- 23:04Speaker 2: Exactly, exactly. So it's just all around bad, and I
- 23:07Speaker 2: don't know. We'll see. Time will tell what happens with
- 23:10Speaker 2: this whole thing.
- 23:11Speaker 3: Three things you need to know before you go into
- 23:12Speaker 3: the office today, like the ice castles of Cripple Creek.
- 23:16Speaker 2: They just announced that they're not happening this year.
- 23:19Speaker 1: Oh, no.
- 23:20Speaker 2: Yeah. So they are.
- 23:22Speaker 3: Stating operational and business considerations. But basically, it's financial as
- 23:27Speaker 3: well as the mild weather and warm temperatures last year.
- 23:31Speaker 3: Not really having a lot of snow or cold temperatures.
- 23:33Speaker 2: I mean, it played a role. It really did.
- 23:35Speaker 1: Oh, yeah. I remember last year they opened up super,
- 23:37Speaker 1: super late. Yeah. And I believe even closed early. Like,
- 23:40Speaker 1: they were open for like a month or something last year. Yeah.
- 23:42Speaker 1: I get it, which is a bummer because those are
- 23:44Speaker 1: really cool to see.
- 23:45Speaker 2: They really are. And here's the thing.
- 23:47Speaker 3: Everyone's thinking to themselves, okay, if Ice Castles and Cripple
- 23:49Speaker 3: Creek aren't happening, don't worry, we can go up to Dylan. Now,
- 23:53Speaker 3: no official word has come out yet, but we're waiting
- 23:56Speaker 3: for Dylan to tell us if they are going to
- 23:58Speaker 3: continue this year.
- 23:59Speaker 2: We don't know.
- 24:00Speaker 1: Isn't that scary? It's weird. It's a very weird thing.
- 24:03Speaker 1: But I'm also thinking about Dylan and how low their
- 24:06Speaker 1: reservoir was this year, too. I'm like, are they going
- 24:08Speaker 1: to have ice? They barely had water this year.
- 24:09Speaker 3: I mean, that's the thing, too, is a lot of
- 24:11Speaker 3: water goes into making these ice castles as well.
- 24:15Speaker 2: So I don't know. I don't know if it's going
- 24:16Speaker 2: to happen.
- 24:16Speaker 1: That's a bummer.
- 24:17Speaker 2: I don't like that.
- 24:19Speaker 3: So before you plan on going up there for the
- 24:21Speaker 3: ice castles, just make sure you know if they're actually
- 24:24Speaker 3: happening or not.
- 24:24Speaker 2: But right now, Cripple Creek, it's not happening.
- 24:26Speaker 1: Oh, that makes me sad. All right. Well, this is
- 24:28Speaker 1: also kind of a Debbie Downer topic as well. A
- 24:30Speaker 1: new YouGov poll shows that watching scary movies and consuming
- 24:34Speaker 1: pumpkin-flavored foods like the PSLs and all that good stuff
- 24:37Speaker 1: are tops of Americans' fall plans, but they are essentially
- 24:41Speaker 1: saying that fewer Americans are planning to display Halloween decorations,
- 24:45Speaker 1: go out, hand out candy, carve pumpkins. Like, less than
- 24:49Speaker 1: half of Americans are going to be doing that this year,
- 24:52Speaker 1: and I don't understand... why we're being such Debbie Downers.
- 24:56Speaker 1: More than half Americans are saying that they don't want
- 24:58Speaker 1: to dress up in a costume, visit a pumpkin patch,
- 25:01Speaker 1: take their children trick-or-treating, or even attend a Halloween party.
- 25:05Speaker 1: Smaller shares plan to maybe play tricks on friends or
- 25:08Speaker 1: family this year, maybe go on a hayride, or maybe
- 25:11Speaker 1: visit a haunted house. It's weird how we're not wanting
- 25:15Speaker 1: to do this. However, I found this funny, Nina. Women
- 25:17Speaker 1: are more likely than men to watch scary movies.
- 25:20Speaker 2: Oh, interesting.
- 25:21Speaker 1: Are we just wimps over here or what's going on?
- 25:24Speaker 1: Do you like a good scary movie or no?
- 25:26Speaker 2: I do. I grew up on scary movies.
- 25:27Speaker 3: I watched them when I was way, way too young
- 25:30Speaker 3: because I had older sisters that loved them.
- 25:32Speaker 1: So you're scarred.
- 25:33Speaker 2: Yeah, exactly. So I'm like, eh, it's whatever. Blood and gore,
- 25:35Speaker 2: bring it on.
- 25:36Speaker 3: But my husband, on the other hand, he was very
- 25:39Speaker 3: much like the sheltered little kid, never able to watch.
- 25:42Speaker 2: Any of that stuff.
- 25:43Speaker 3: And when it comes between he and I in scary movies,
- 25:46Speaker 3: I'm more likely to be like, hey, it's October, Halloween.
- 25:49Speaker 2: Let's throw on a horror film. And he's like, Okay,
- 25:53Speaker 2: but we have to put the lights on.
- 25:55Speaker 1: Watch it in the daytime. That's so funny you say
- 25:57Speaker 1: that because for me, I was also kind of sheltered
- 26:00Speaker 1: from that stuff. And I remember I snuck a horror movie.
- 26:03Speaker 1: I'll never forget it. It's The Grudge. Did you ever
- 26:04Speaker 1: see that movie?
- 26:05Speaker 2: Yes.
- 26:05Speaker 1: So I snuck that movie when I was very young.
- 26:08Speaker 1: And I remember there's a very specific horrifying shower scene
- 26:12Speaker 1: in that movie. I showered with my eyes open even
- 26:15Speaker 1: when I washed my hair. For like five years after that.
- 26:18Speaker 1: I was scarred.
- 26:19Speaker 2: That's a scary one for sure. The grudge, the ring too,
- 26:22Speaker 2: that one got me as well.
- 26:23Speaker 1: I'll never watch it.
- 26:24Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, it's pretty bad.
- 26:26Speaker 3: All right, the third thing you need to know, a
- 26:27Speaker 3: Woodland Park woman is very relieved after finally receiving her
- 26:31Speaker 3: birth certificate. So she was born in Colorado, but she
- 26:34Speaker 3: was born in kind of a rural area, and her
- 26:36Speaker 3: parents went the very unconventional way of not recording.
- 26:40Speaker 2: Her birth with the state.
- 26:41Speaker 3: Instead, they just kind of wrote it down in the
- 26:43Speaker 3: family Bible and lived their life, but... Without a birth certificate,
- 26:47Speaker 3: she said that she couldn't legally drive. She can't get married.
- 26:50Speaker 3: She can't work most jobs, even though she was born
- 26:53Speaker 3: right here in Colorado. But it's because she never received
- 26:56Speaker 3: a birth certificate. And there's a Colorado law about delayed
- 27:00Speaker 3: birth certificates. So this is a thing. But it made
- 27:03Speaker 3: it too tough for her to actually get it. So
- 27:05Speaker 3: they required a document created before a person turned 10
- 27:09Speaker 3: in order to be able to get your new birth certificate.
- 27:13Speaker 3: And she only had a document when she turned 11.
- 27:16Speaker 2: Oh, my gosh. So it made it really hard for her.
- 27:19Speaker 3: And she actually helped change the law. So a new
- 27:22Speaker 3: rule requires one document that is 10 years old at
- 27:25Speaker 3: the time of application, not giving a specific age that
- 27:30Speaker 3: that document has to be created for a person.
- 27:32Speaker 1: That's a wild story. Isn't that crazy? Essentially, to the government,
- 27:36Speaker 1: you didn't exist. Yeah. So I feel like you could
- 27:38Speaker 1: have gotten away with a lot. Yeah. But also, hey,
- 27:41Speaker 1: if you just want to be a normal person and
- 27:42Speaker 1: not like some kind of thief or something, and hey,
- 27:44Speaker 1: I just want to get my license and get married.
- 27:46Speaker 2: She says she felt like a ghost because she technically
- 27:48Speaker 2: didn't exist. So perfect for Halloween. We love that.
- 27:52Speaker 3: So influencers have entered the chat at Paris Fashion Week
- 27:55Speaker 3: that's going on right now. And one influencer decided to
- 27:58Speaker 3: come for Rihanna and the fashion gods said no.
- 28:02Speaker 2: What are you doing? Sit down.
- 28:04Speaker 1: Why would you even think that's a good idea?
- 28:06Speaker 2: Exactly.
- 28:07Speaker 1: I don't understand. Rihanna is so powerful and has been
- 28:09Speaker 1: in the game way longer than before influencers even became
- 28:12Speaker 1: a thing.
- 28:13Speaker 2: Exactly.
- 28:13Speaker 1: I don't understand that. Right.
- 28:15Speaker 2: So this came from an influencer named EJ Johnson.
- 28:18Speaker 3: He's been around for a while, but he put out
- 28:20Speaker 3: a video complaining that the Dior show was delayed because
- 28:24Speaker 3: Rihanna was late and they were waiting for her. So
- 28:27Speaker 3: everyone else had to kind of wait until Rihanna showed up,
- 28:30Speaker 3: and he put out a video saying we didn't care
- 28:32Speaker 3: to wait for her, but obviously the entire fashion house
- 28:36Speaker 3: cared enough, so yeah, they waited for Rihanna. Anyway, later
- 28:40Speaker 3: that day, Karma came back around, and he was denied
- 28:44Speaker 3: entry at another show, and someone was recording it and
- 28:47Speaker 3: put up the video.
- 28:48Speaker 2: That went viral of him, like... causing a fit outside
- 28:52Speaker 2: this door, not being able to get in. And then
- 28:54Speaker 2: Rihanna saw the video and she commented with one word.
- 28:58Speaker 2: All she said was, damn.
- 29:02Speaker 1: I love this. Oh, my gosh. That's so funny. And
- 29:06Speaker 1: she doesn't need to say anything, first of all, but
- 29:07Speaker 1: to just put one word out there.
- 29:10Speaker 3: So she knows you were talking about her. Don't ever
- 29:12Speaker 3: try to come for Rihanna again.
- 29:14Speaker 2: Ever.
- 29:14Speaker 1: That's just that's a losing situation there, buddy. That's all right.
- 29:18Speaker 1: We learned today. That's okay. Well, hey, talk about the
- 29:20Speaker 1: collab that no one saw coming at all. Despite their
- 29:26Speaker 1: very sharp political differences, Eminem and Kid Rock have teamed
- 29:30Speaker 1: up to create a brand new song called Seven Sins.
- 29:33Speaker 1: It's a new track that's going to appear on Kid
- 29:36Speaker 1: Rock's upcoming Christian album, first of all. What? Creating a
- 29:39Speaker 1: Christian album. It's called Halfway to Jesus. Didn't know he
- 29:41Speaker 1: was putting that out, but Kid Rock wrote that he
- 29:44Speaker 1: hopes that their old time friendship, these guys were friends
- 29:46Speaker 1: a long time ago.
- 29:47Speaker 2: Were they?
- 29:47Speaker 1: In the 90s, they were buddies. Kid Rock was a
- 29:49Speaker 1: little bit more expletive with things that he said back
- 29:53Speaker 1: in the day.
- 29:53Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 29:53Speaker 1: I guess he's kind of turned over a new leaf.
- 29:55Speaker 1: We all know He's a big fan of the right
- 29:57Speaker 1: side and all that stuff. Eminem's obviously a big fan
- 29:59Speaker 1: of the left side. But he said he does hope
- 30:01Speaker 1: that their friendship sets an example for people who have
- 30:03Speaker 1: lost friends or stopped talking to family because they think differently.
- 30:06Speaker 2: Wow.
- 30:07Speaker 1: I am now at peak interest over what this song
- 30:10Speaker 1: is going to sound like.
- 30:11Speaker 2: Seriously.
- 30:12Speaker 1: Is it going to sound like them just cursing each
- 30:13Speaker 1: other out? Or are they actually going to put everything
- 30:15Speaker 1: aside and create a good song? I mean, I love Eminem.
- 30:19Speaker 1: I love his music. I've loved his music for a
- 30:20Speaker 1: long time. I'm not the biggest kid rock fan. I just...
- 30:24Speaker 1: don't really like his music. But that being said, together,
- 30:27Speaker 1: I'm really interested to see how this song's gonna sound.
- 30:30Speaker 2: That's so interesting.
- 30:30Speaker 3: I had no idea that they were friends before, so
- 30:32Speaker 3: it kind of makes sense, I guess, them trying to
- 30:34Speaker 3: do this. But yeah, never saw that coming.
- 30:38Speaker 1: Absolutely not. I'm excited to see what the song's gonna
- 30:40Speaker 1: sound like, and it actually gave me interest in this
- 30:42Speaker 1: album that Kid Rock is gonna be putting out.
- 30:44Speaker 2: Yeah, for sure.
- 30:45Speaker 3: And Universal Studios Hollywood's Halloween Horror Nights kicked off last weekend.
- 30:50Speaker 3: And I didn't realize this, but sometimes celebrities will go
- 30:54Speaker 3: be the ones in costume scaring you. So for opening night,
- 30:59Speaker 3: Jack Osborne and his daughter Pearl, they did the honors
- 31:02Speaker 3: at Ozzy's new dedicated haunted house.
- 31:06Speaker 2: It's called Ozzy Osborne Prince of Darkness. I mean, you know.
- 31:08Speaker 1: Of course. Very fitting.
- 31:10Speaker 2: The title is just there.
- 31:11Speaker 1: It writes itself.
- 31:12Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 31:13Speaker 3: And Jack Osborne and his daughter, they were turned into
- 31:15Speaker 3: bloody bat priest hybrids, whatever that is. But I mean,
- 31:20Speaker 3: how's that for some father daughter bonding?
- 31:22Speaker 2: If you're the child of Ozzy Osborne and the grandchild
- 31:26Speaker 2: of Ozzy Osborne, it's actually very fitting. And this is
- 31:29Speaker 2: actually adorable, despite all the blood.
- 31:31Speaker 1: Well, I think that's really cute, too. I agree with you.
- 31:34Speaker 1: I think it's also, like you said, probably very healing
- 31:36Speaker 1: for this family to be able to kind of honor
- 31:38Speaker 1: their dad and grandpa and also have some fun with it, right?
- 31:41Speaker 2: Oh, 100%.
- 31:43Speaker 1: I would go. Plus, if I was just a fan
- 31:44Speaker 1: of that and it was in town, I would absolutely
- 31:46Speaker 1: go see them. 100%.
- 31:46Speaker 2: And I think it's kind of cool that Jack Osborne,
- 31:49Speaker 2: I mean, he's all dressed up anyway. No one knew
- 31:51Speaker 2: it was him until they were, you know, good in
- 31:53Speaker 2: terms of security or anything like that. But it's just
- 31:56Speaker 2: kind of fun that he actually, he did the dirty work.
- 31:59Speaker 2: You know, he put on the costume and the makeup
- 32:01Speaker 2: and he was out there running around and I'm sure
- 32:03Speaker 2: he was like a little sweaty from running around and
- 32:05Speaker 2: like scaring people. That's so fun.
- 32:07Speaker 1: I guarantee you he had an absolute blast with that.
- 32:09Speaker 1: I mean, seriously, I've always wanted to be the people
- 32:11Speaker 1: that haunt you. Like, that would be so much fun
- 32:13Speaker 1: to be the person in costume, right?
- 32:15Speaker 2: Exactly.
- 32:16Speaker 1: I love it.
- 32:16Speaker 2: Exactly.
- 32:17Speaker 3: We were at the Avs game on Saturday, and we
- 32:21Speaker 3: were there hanging out.
- 32:22Speaker 2: Josh, you had brought your brother.
- 32:23Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 32:24Speaker 2: Which was nice to meet him. I think I met
- 32:26Speaker 2: him once before.
- 32:26Speaker 1: Probably. We look exactly the same.
- 32:28Speaker 2: You guys do.
- 32:29Speaker 3: Basically twins. And then I was there with some family.
- 32:33Speaker 3: I was there with my husband and his cousin and
- 32:36Speaker 3: her kid. And she wanted to go to that game
- 32:39Speaker 3: specifically because she has two boys. But the other kid,
- 32:43Speaker 3: he was there with his hockey team. And they did
- 32:47Speaker 3: it big for this hockey team. They had the whole
- 32:49Speaker 3: hockey team in a suite. They enjoyed the game.
- 32:51Speaker 1: What hockey team is that? I want to join.
- 32:53Speaker 2: Right, exactly. But he was kind of on a suite
- 32:56Speaker 2: on the other side of the arena from where we were.
- 32:59Speaker 3: And we were very lucky to also be in a
- 33:01Speaker 3: suite from our job, our work, too. And being away
- 33:05Speaker 3: from your kid in a big arena, a lot of people...
- 33:08Speaker 3: He doesn't have a cell phone. And so she was like,
- 33:11Speaker 3: you know, I'll probably have to go and check in
- 33:13Speaker 3: on him every once in a while. And I'm like, well, yes,
- 33:15Speaker 3: of course, being a responsible good mother. But then I
- 33:19Speaker 3: got caught stalking a little bit.
- 33:21Speaker 1: You did something that shocked me. So it was so funny.
- 33:25Speaker 1: The way it was situated, their other team was kind
- 33:28Speaker 1: of directly across from us, essentially. Directly across, yeah. So
- 33:32Speaker 1: the mom, your cousin, is trying to, like, point out
- 33:35Speaker 1: and be like, I think he's in there, can't really
- 33:37Speaker 1: quite see.
- 33:37Speaker 2: I don't know which box might be that one.
- 33:39Speaker 1: And then the brilliant mind of Nina is so smart.
- 33:43Speaker 1: The way your brain works is just so different than mine,
- 33:46Speaker 1: and I love seeing it that way. So you are like, hey,
- 33:48Speaker 1: you know what?
- 33:49Speaker 2: I was like, this is easy.
- 33:50Speaker 1: I'm going to whip out my phone. I got Zoom
- 33:52Speaker 1: on my phone.
- 33:52Speaker 2: Exactly.
- 33:53Speaker 1: I can Zoom in, and now with the iPhone, you
- 33:54Speaker 1: can Zoom in to see people's pores, essentially. A lot, yeah.
- 33:57Speaker 1: you can zoom in so much, you start zooming in,
- 34:00Speaker 1: and you are able to pick out her son. You
- 34:03Speaker 1: see him, you found him.
- 34:04Speaker 2: I just grabbed my phone, I zoomed it all the
- 34:06Speaker 2: way in, and I was like, oh look, he's right there.
- 34:08Speaker 2: And then she's like, oh, he's talking to so-and-so, and
- 34:10Speaker 2: that's his coach, and this and that.
- 34:12Speaker 3: And every once in a while, instead of walking across
- 34:15Speaker 3: the arena, we would just whip out my phone zoom
- 34:18Speaker 3: in and check to make sure he's still there he's
- 34:21Speaker 3: good he's having a good time we're fine the.
- 34:23Speaker 1: Level of stalking that you that you have acquired the
- 34:25Speaker 1: stalking skills I would have never thought about that and
- 34:28Speaker 1: I kind of came in halfway through that conversation I
- 34:31Speaker 1: didn't hear your guys's conversation so I am just looking
- 34:34Speaker 1: and I like I'm scanning the game and then I
- 34:35Speaker 1: see what you're doing and I just mentioned I go
- 34:38Speaker 1: wow you stalker what are you doing what are you
- 34:40Speaker 1: doing Seriously.
- 34:43Speaker 2: I mean, you know what they say when it comes
- 34:45Speaker 2: to a woman, especially on social media, we will be
- 34:48Speaker 2: able to find that dirt.
- 34:50Speaker 1: Y'all are FBI agents.
- 34:51Speaker 2: We're better than the FBI.
- 34:53Speaker 3: The CIA ain't got nothing on us. Three things you
- 34:56Speaker 3: need to know before you go into the office today.
- 34:58Speaker 3: Like this couple in Commerce City went viral last week.
- 35:02Speaker 3: So they were watching last weekend's Broncos game.
- 35:05Speaker 2: You know, the one where we won.
- 35:07Speaker 1: Oh, yeah. Good times. I remember that.
- 35:08Speaker 2: Right, right, right, right.
- 35:09Speaker 3: Well, they did a TikTok trend where the guy turns
- 35:12Speaker 3: away from the TV, back to the TV, okay?
- 35:15Speaker 1: Okay.
- 35:15Speaker 2: And girlfriend calls the game for him.
- 35:18Speaker 1: Oh, Lord in heaven. Yeah.
- 35:20Speaker 2: Could you even imagine, Josh?
- 35:21Speaker 1: I got to do this.
- 35:23Speaker 2: You should. You should try it with Princess Pilot.
- 35:25Speaker 1: Yes.
- 35:25Speaker 2: So she did okay, but there were a few flubs,
- 35:29Speaker 2: and that's part of why this went viral.
- 35:31Speaker 1: Okay.
- 35:31Speaker 2: But she did, he's like, which yard line are they at?
- 35:33Speaker 2: Where are they at right now? And she goes, How
- 35:35Speaker 2: do you tell?
- 35:36Speaker 1: This is the best. I love this. This is so good.
- 35:40Speaker 2: Yes. So a couple of flubs there, but they went viral.
- 35:43Speaker 2: So shout out to Brian and Nikki. Finn Frock in
- 35:46Speaker 2: Commerce City went totally viral trying this TikTok trend.
- 35:49Speaker 1: That's adorable. I love those cute little couple things that
- 35:52Speaker 1: they can do, and it's not just like the normal mushy,
- 35:54Speaker 1: gushy stuff. Like, oh, I love you so much. It's
- 35:56Speaker 1: probably the best.
- 35:56Speaker 2: Fun with each other.
- 35:57Speaker 1: Exactly, and the boyfriend's probably almost on the verge of
- 36:00Speaker 1: frustration because he's like, just tell me what's happening. Why
- 36:03Speaker 1: can't you tell me what's going, just watch the TV,
- 36:05Speaker 1: and she's like.
- 36:06Speaker 2: And he was so flustered. There were moments where he's
- 36:09Speaker 2: just rubbing his face like, oh my gosh. But they
- 36:12Speaker 2: did win. That was a winning game. It was last weekend,
- 36:15Speaker 2: so it was okay.
- 36:15Speaker 1: Probably would have been less fun if they did it
- 36:17Speaker 1: this week.
- 36:17Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 36:18Speaker 1: Well, this is kind of sad news. Americans have been
- 36:21Speaker 1: studied over the last 45 years now, and this is crazy.
- 36:26Speaker 1: Americans are now hosting their friends and family at home, essentially,
- 36:30Speaker 1: like a dinner night, a date night, a card game night, whatever. Yeah.
- 36:34Speaker 1: It is essentially collapsed from 1975 until 2026. The amount
- 36:39Speaker 1: of people hosting their friends and family in the houses
- 36:42Speaker 1: have dropped from 50% essentially to 12%.
- 36:45Speaker 2: Oh my gosh.
- 36:47Speaker 1: No one is seeing each other anymore. Thompson, who is
- 36:49Speaker 1: the guy that did this whole entire thing, revisited data
- 36:52Speaker 1: from 1975, which predicted this decline about a quarter century ago.
- 36:57Speaker 2: Really?
- 36:58Speaker 1: These new surveys have double digit drops across nearly every
- 37:02Speaker 1: form of in-person socializing from card games to To bar nights.
- 37:06Speaker 1: That is so sad, first of all.
- 37:07Speaker 2: That's so sad.
- 37:08Speaker 1: We need to get out more. I don't understand this.
- 37:10Speaker 1: Contributing factors, they say, include busy dual-income households. We understand that. Yes.
- 37:15Speaker 1: Intensive parenting. Okay, I get that. Shrinking friendship circles, which
- 37:19Speaker 1: again is so odd because we have social media where
- 37:22Speaker 1: we are in constant contact with We just don't feel
- 37:25Speaker 1: the need to go see each other in person anymore.
- 37:27Speaker 3: That's the hard part is because of social media, we
- 37:30Speaker 3: feel like we have really close friends. But when it
- 37:32Speaker 3: comes down to it, if you can't call someone and
- 37:35Speaker 3: they will drop anything to come and see you, then
- 37:38Speaker 3: is that a true friend?
- 37:40Speaker 1: Absolutely. And this is what you actually hit the nail
- 37:42Speaker 1: on the head there, Nina. Thompson, who wrote this whole
- 37:45Speaker 1: entire project, says, We have built a world in which
- 37:47Speaker 1: being alone has never become more easy. It is more
- 37:51Speaker 1: comfortable and more fun to be alone now. And I'm like,
- 37:54Speaker 1: that's the saddest thing I've ever heard. I'm guilty of
- 37:57Speaker 1: this too. Like there are many nights where some of
- 38:00Speaker 1: my friends go out and I'm like, I've been up
- 38:01Speaker 1: for so many hours. Do I want to go out?
- 38:04Speaker 1: I can just stay at the comfort of my home.
- 38:05Speaker 1: And sometimes it's good. You got to force yourself out there.
- 38:08Speaker 1: Like you really do. It's not a good thing to
- 38:10Speaker 1: be so comfortable alone. being at home alone yeah and
- 38:14Speaker 1: that's the way this world is going because we're again
- 38:15Speaker 1: we're at the like i can text you nina anytime
- 38:17Speaker 1: i want right but then again like forcing ourselves to
- 38:20Speaker 1: go out with friends or family it can be tough.
- 38:23Speaker 3: It does it takes effort it takes time it takes
- 38:25Speaker 3: gas money you know you're spending a hundred dollars if
- 38:27Speaker 3: you leave the house and that's part of it too it.
- 38:29Speaker 1: 100 is but that's a sad reality it is a
- 38:32Speaker 1: sad reality a very unfortunate thing that's happened and it
- 38:35Speaker 1: makes me sad to see that we're about 12 of
- 38:37Speaker 1: people wanting to.
- 38:38Speaker 2: Actually go hang out yeah that's pretty crazy i don't
- 38:40Speaker 2: like that you gotta host like a game night or
- 38:41Speaker 2: something I know.
- 38:42Speaker 1: We should.
- 38:43Speaker 2: We should. We should.
- 38:44Speaker 3: And over the weekend, I learned that ski areas will
- 38:47Speaker 3: save snow somehow over the summer. So they have these
- 38:50Speaker 3: thermal blankets. They will shovel up all the snow into
- 38:54Speaker 3: one big pile. And they have these major thermal blankets
- 38:57Speaker 3: that they drape over it. And it's supposed to help
- 39:00Speaker 3: keep the snow.
- 39:01Speaker 2: And it does.
- 39:02Speaker 3: And it's been able to keep some snow over at
- 39:05Speaker 3: Aspen Snowmass.
- 39:06Speaker 2: That's what they did. And they actually opened up last weekend.
- 39:09Speaker 1: No way. I didn't know that, first of all.
- 39:11Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 39:12Speaker 3: So they had enough saved snow and the snow that
- 39:15Speaker 3: kind of fell at the highest peaks combined. And they're
- 39:17Speaker 3: building out this rail park for skiers and snowboarders. So
- 39:21Speaker 3: it's open to the public if you want.
- 39:22Speaker 2: To go check it out. It's only open on the weekends, though,
- 39:25Speaker 2: Saturdays and Sundays to start 10 till 2. Yeah.
- 39:28Speaker 1: That's the craziest, I mean imagine, we're now recycling snow.
- 39:32Speaker 2: No, literally.
- 39:33Speaker 1: This is from last year.
- 39:33Speaker 2: That's exactly what we're doing and it's so sad.
- 39:37Speaker 3: Josh, I can't even tell you how many times a
- 39:40Speaker 3: day I'm constantly picking up my phone, looking at my notifications,
- 39:44Speaker 3: refreshing the timeline, looking back at my notifications, and then
- 39:47Speaker 3: I put my phone down for two seconds, and then
- 39:50Speaker 3: I'm picking it up again and doing.
- 39:51Speaker 2: It all over.
- 39:53Speaker 1: So we have an addiction, and I think we all
- 39:55Speaker 1: do to some degree. I know many people who have
- 39:58Speaker 1: smartphones are like, man, sometimes I wish I could go
- 40:00Speaker 1: back to the dumb phone, you know, the flip phone,
- 40:02Speaker 1: where it was just calling and texting, and you didn't
- 40:04Speaker 1: have to pick it up every two seconds. Yes. I
- 40:06Speaker 1: have a question for you, though. Have you ever felt
- 40:09Speaker 1: like the phantom vibration, where your phone doesn't actually vibrate?
- 40:13Speaker 3: Yeah, where you think it's vibrating in your pocket, and
- 40:17Speaker 3: then you go to reach for it, and my phone's
- 40:19Speaker 3: not even in my pocket.
- 40:20Speaker 2: It's in my purse or something.
- 40:21Speaker 1: Yeah, so I do that all the time. And it's
- 40:23Speaker 1: such a weird thing. And it might be because we've
- 40:25Speaker 1: kind of gotten past the skinny jeans vibe, and I've
- 40:28Speaker 1: got baggier pants on now, and I just constantly think
- 40:30Speaker 1: my phone's vibrating. You're not alone in that. There is
- 40:33Speaker 1: a study that has just come out from Lifestyle where
- 40:37Speaker 1: many people are experiencing this. Around 90% of people are
- 40:42Speaker 1: experiencing the phantom vibration. Scientists have studied the brain, which
- 40:46Speaker 1: is so funny. Our brain now... is primed to expect alerts.
- 40:51Speaker 1: We have misreads on ordinary sensations, which would be like,
- 40:54Speaker 1: you know, the clothing friction, or muscle twitches, as literally
- 40:58Speaker 1: the phone going vvvvv. We're trying to figure that out.
- 41:01Speaker 1: It's attributed essentially to the heavy phone use, always having
- 41:04Speaker 1: your phone on vibration mode, or the workplace pressure. Have
- 41:08Speaker 1: you thought about that? So get this. A Taiwan study
- 41:12Speaker 1: tracking medical interns found that the phantom vibrations jumped to
- 41:17Speaker 1: 96% during their intense training parts of the year and
- 41:21Speaker 1: then dropped significantly afterwards. So depending on what we do
- 41:25Speaker 1: for our jobs, when we're constantly experiencing like, hey, we
- 41:28Speaker 1: got to check our emails. We got to make sure
- 41:30Speaker 1: that we're caught up to date on everything.
- 41:31Speaker 2: You have alerts are on every time you get an email.
- 41:33Speaker 1: The push notifications, right? Yeah. Those are the things that
- 41:37Speaker 1: I think we need to get away from. I have
- 41:39Speaker 1: found myself turning off push notifications for almost everything on
- 41:44Speaker 1: my phone now except for major work things or whatever
- 41:46Speaker 1: because I'm like, it's stressful constantly checking your phone. It
- 41:50Speaker 1: is stressful. constantly always feeling the need to be on
- 41:53Speaker 1: and be like, OK, did I miss something? Did I
- 41:55Speaker 1: miss an important email from my boss?
- 41:56Speaker 2: Right, right. Yeah.
- 41:57Speaker 1: I don't like that. The stress that comes with owning
- 42:00Speaker 1: a phone. Yeah.
- 42:01Speaker 2: No, for real. And like you said, everyone feels this
- 42:03Speaker 2: in one way or another. Maybe it is emails because,
- 42:07Speaker 2: you know, work is just really, really hounding you.
- 42:09Speaker 3: And it's very important that you answer those emails right away.
- 42:12Speaker 3: That's kind of my husband is in that boat. where
- 42:15Speaker 3: he has his... He's not on social media at all, okay?
- 42:18Speaker 3: First of all, let me just point that out. He's
- 42:20Speaker 3: not on social media at all, okay? He just has
- 42:24Speaker 3: a phone. Yes, it is a smartphone, but he's off
- 42:26Speaker 3: of all the socials.
- 42:28Speaker 2: But his work is so demanding.
- 42:31Speaker 3: That he has to answer those emails and those phone
- 42:34Speaker 3: calls and those text messages. Doesn't matter if it's during
- 42:36Speaker 3: work hours or not.
- 42:38Speaker 1: Well, see, and I think that's funny with us, Nina, too. Like,
- 42:40Speaker 1: you and I, I would say the other 90% of
- 42:41Speaker 1: our job is also... answering emails. We're off the air
- 42:48Speaker 1: at 10 a.m., I understand that, but we have a
- 42:50Speaker 1: large portion of our job that is between the hours
- 42:53Speaker 1: that we're actually not on the air. Oh, 100%. I
- 42:56Speaker 1: was talking earlier today about how many emails we got
- 42:58Speaker 1: within like a four second span. All of a sudden
- 43:00Speaker 1: it was like.
- 43:01Speaker 2: We've had a lot already this morning.
- 43:03Speaker 1: And so it's just the stress and pressures that come
- 43:05Speaker 1: with that that I'm just like, can we all just
- 43:07Speaker 1: breathe and take a break from this? I'm sick of
- 43:09Speaker 1: feeling my phone vibrate when it's not even doing it.
- 43:11Speaker 2: I know, I know. Yeah, we all kind of go
- 43:13Speaker 2: through that.
- 43:14Speaker 3: So I don't know, if you are getting the phantom vibration,
- 43:18Speaker 3: and you're like, man, I'm sick of this, like, maybe
- 43:20Speaker 3: it is time to take a break from your phone,
- 43:22Speaker 3: if you can, set it up with work, whatever, and just, like,
- 43:26Speaker 3: a whole weekend, have you ever gone, like, disconnected from
- 43:29Speaker 3: the world for a full weekend?
- 43:31Speaker 1: No. No? I don't think I have.
- 43:33Speaker 2: Josh!
- 43:34Speaker 1: I really don't think I have. I mean, there's weekends.
- 43:36Speaker 2: That's so unhealthy, dude.
- 43:38Speaker 1: Well, it is what it is. You know what, all right,
- 43:39Speaker 1: you know what, from now on, Nina, I'm ignoring all
- 43:41Speaker 1: of you. Bye, I'm ignoring everybody. what I meant. Goodbye.
- 43:45Speaker 2: Our winner, Lorella, is going to see Ella on Wednesday.
- 43:49Speaker 1: I love that.
- 43:50Speaker 2: I love that it rhymes.
- 43:51Speaker 1: I know, it's perfect. That's so exciting for her and
- 43:53Speaker 1: her mom.
- 43:54Speaker 2: Yes, exactly.
- 43:55Speaker 3: So we called Lorella earlier today to let her know
- 43:58Speaker 3: she is going to see Ella Langley, but we do
- 44:00Speaker 3: have more tickets we are giving away on Wednesday, the
- 44:03Speaker 3: day of the show. Your last chance to get some tickets.
- 44:07Speaker 3: We're going to be at Zig Zag Burgers in the DTC.
- 44:10Speaker 3: Noon until 1, so plan to spend your lunch hour
- 44:14Speaker 3: with us for a chance at last-minute Ella Langley tickets.
- 44:18Speaker 1: Well, yeah, and this is the one where you've got
- 44:19Speaker 1: to be there to claim that ticket, too. So we
- 44:21Speaker 1: want you there. We don't want you to just sign
- 44:23Speaker 1: up and then not be there. We want to give
- 44:24Speaker 1: the tickets to you so you can go enjoy that night. Again,
- 44:27Speaker 1: it's just an hour. And ZigZag, by the way, has
- 44:29Speaker 1: unbelievably good food.
- 44:31Speaker 2: So good.
- 44:32Speaker 1: First of all. So get some good food there then
- 44:34Speaker 1: and then hopefully celebrate with some Ella Langley tickets.
- 44:36Speaker 2: Exactly.
- 44:36Speaker 3: So all the details on that are up on our
- 44:39Speaker 3: Instagram and Facebook at Mix 100 Denver. But Josh, it
- 44:43Speaker 3: is the end of the show here, and it is
- 44:45Speaker 3: time to admit your wrongs.
- 44:48Speaker 2: What you got?
- 44:48Speaker 1: I am shocked. I did not think this would ever
- 44:51Speaker 1: go out of style, but apparently this is where I
- 44:54Speaker 1: was wrong. We talked earlier about the best costumes to
- 44:56Speaker 1: wear or not to wear this Halloween. Yeah. And the
- 44:59Speaker 1: number one thing that has been outplayed are sexy costumes.
- 45:04Speaker 2: Which is crazy. Who would have thought this day would
- 45:06Speaker 2: ever come?
- 45:07Speaker 1: I feel like it really, and I'm sure it's always
- 45:09Speaker 1: been going on for as long as time, but I
- 45:11Speaker 1: feel like it really got started around the Mean Girls era,
- 45:14Speaker 1: you know, and everybody wanted to wear the sexy costumes.
- 45:16Speaker 1: I'm a mouse. Duh. Yeah, right? Exactly. So I thought
- 45:20Speaker 1: that would never go out of style, but now I
- 45:22Speaker 1: love it. People are getting a sense of humor back,
- 45:23Speaker 1: dang it. Yeah. And they're having fun with the costumes
- 45:26Speaker 1: they're making. And I like that. You're having more imagination,
- 45:30Speaker 1: if you will.
- 45:31Speaker 2: And getting creative.
- 45:32Speaker 1: Yes, instead of just throwing on the mouse ears. Right.
- 45:35Speaker 1: Wearing lingerie. We love it. So have fun with your
- 45:37Speaker 1: costumes this year. Yes, please do. What did you get wrong, Nina?
- 45:40Speaker 2: I got wrong.
- 45:40Speaker 3: When we were talking about in Know Before You Go,
- 45:43Speaker 3: I mentioned Porch Fest had come.
- 45:45Speaker 2: To Colorado for the first time ever.
- 45:47Speaker 1: Sounds like a blast.
- 45:47Speaker 3: It is, and it did come to Denver for the
- 45:50Speaker 3: first time ever, but we got a text on our
- 45:53Speaker 3: text line saying, actually, Porch Fest has been in Colorado before,
- 45:58Speaker 3: just not in Denver, but it was up in Boulder.
- 46:01Speaker 3: So Boulder has been doing a Porch Fest in the past.
- 46:06Speaker 1: It's a very bolder thing to do.
- 46:07Speaker 2: I know, right? I'm like, that sounds so bolder.
- 46:09Speaker 1: What, up on the hill right over there? Let's just
- 46:11Speaker 1: play some music on the porch, bro.
- 46:13Speaker 2: Yeah, exactly, exactly.
- 46:15Speaker 1: Love it.
- 46:15Speaker 2: But Porch Fest for the first time was in Denver,
- 46:18Speaker 2: and I thought that was pretty cool.
- 46:19Speaker 3: So if you missed out on that story, we are
- 46:21Speaker 3: going to have our podcast up here in just a
- 46:23Speaker 3: little bit.
- 46:24Speaker 2: You can re-listen to all the Know Before You Goes
- 46:27Speaker 2: and Celebrity Quickies and get caught up on everything for
- 46:29Speaker 2: your day on our podcast. So go and check that out.
- 46:32Speaker 2: It's up at Mix100.
- 46:33Speaker 1: Com. Mm-hmm.
- 46:35Speaker 3: So thank you so much for tuning in today. We're
- 46:37Speaker 3: going to get going. Angela Cortez is on her way in.
- 46:40Speaker 3: And don't forget to plan on Wednesday. Meet us at
- 46:43Speaker 3: Zig Zag Burgers on Wednesday in the Tech Center for
- 46:46Speaker 3: those last-minute.
- 46:46Speaker 2: Ella Langley tickets.
- 46:47Speaker 1: Yeah, we'll see you there.
- 46:48Speaker 2: All righty. And we'll talk to you tomorrow. Have a
- 46:51Speaker 2: good night.
- 46:51Speaker 1: Goodbye.
- 46:52Speaker 2: Good night, good day.
- 46:53Speaker 1: Goodbye.
- 46:53Speaker 2: Oh, my gosh.
- 46:54Speaker 1: I'm sorry.
- 46:54Speaker 2: That was my bad. Have a good day.
- 46:56Speaker 1: Goodbye.
- 46:56Speaker 2: Okay, bye.
