- 0:00Speaker 1: Give woor oh, Bri said on the iHeartRadio app to
- 0:04Speaker 1: hear Mark.
- 0:04Speaker 2: Simone and all the WOR hosts in an instance. Now
- 0:09Speaker 2: back to the Mark Simon show on WOR.
- 0:13Speaker 1: Well, Bruce Blakeman running for governor. He's the Nasau County executive.
- 0:18Speaker 1: County executive is like a governor's job. It's basically the
- 0:20Speaker 1: same thing. And he's proven to be the best county
- 0:23Speaker 1: executive in America. Everybody wants, everybody who knows what they're
- 0:27Speaker 1: doing wants him to be governor. He'd be the best
- 0:30Speaker 1: governor we could have right now, Bruce Blakeman, and you
- 0:33Speaker 1: got to help him out. Go to Blakemanfronewyork dot com.
- 0:36Speaker 1: I know you're supporting him, but you got to help out. Donate, volunteer.
- 0:41Speaker 1: Go to Blakeman for New York dot com. Blakeman for
- 0:44Speaker 1: New York dot Com. Bruce Blakeman, how you doing.
- 0:49Speaker 2: I'm doing great, Mark, and thank you for your support,
- 0:52Speaker 2: your dear friend. You are an amazing personality and I
- 0:58Speaker 2: just value our friends. Thank you so much. We're doing great.
- 1:02Speaker 2: I just had a press conference where I indicated that
- 1:07Speaker 2: on day one as governor, I will pardon Sergeant Duran.
- 1:11Speaker 2: He was doing his job. It was a gross miscarriage
- 1:15Speaker 2: of justice to convict him and to put a sentence
- 1:18Speaker 2: of three to nine years on an NYPD veteran who's
- 1:22Speaker 2: just doing his job. He's got three children. I think
- 1:25Speaker 2: it's just a disgrace. It's the air of criminality that
- 1:28Speaker 2: now exists in New York State under Cathy Hoak when
- 1:32Speaker 2: Zorn Mundami. That ends on day one when I become governor.
- 1:35Speaker 1: Yeah, Duran is the cop who threw the cooler, and
- 1:39Speaker 1: it was a split second decision. He got in front
- 1:41Speaker 1: of a wacky left wing judge who just a while
- 1:44Speaker 1: back somebody beat a homeless guy to death. He gave
- 1:47Speaker 1: that kid a gang member, like three months. He gives
- 1:50Speaker 1: this cop three to nine years. So, as governor, you
- 1:53Speaker 1: would have the power to pardon him on that.
- 1:56Speaker 2: Yes, and I will pardon him at twelve one on
- 2:01Speaker 2: January first. It'll be the first thing that I do
- 2:04Speaker 2: as governor. Again. We are destroying the morale of NYPD
- 2:12Speaker 2: and other law enforcement professionals throughout the state. It is
- 2:17Speaker 2: a state where we have the most pro criminal governor
- 2:21Speaker 2: in America in Kathy Hochel. You know, just think about it.
- 2:25Speaker 2: Mark every law enforcement policy issue she makes makes it
- 2:32Speaker 2: easier for criminals to pray on our communities. When is
- 2:36Speaker 2: she ever promulgated a law that protects our communities, that
- 2:41Speaker 2: protects our law enforcement professionals. She fired two hundred No
- 2:46Speaker 2: excuse me, she fired a two thousand corrections officers who
- 2:51Speaker 2: were complaining that under Kathy Hockel's policies, the prisoners were
- 2:56Speaker 2: now running to jails, making it unsafe not only for
- 3:01Speaker 2: corrections officers, but unsafe for the prisoners themselves, and making
- 3:05Speaker 2: the surrounding communities around jails insecure. This is a governor
- 3:10Speaker 2: that is completely out of touch. I am going to
- 3:13Speaker 2: correct this injustice as Sergeant Duran twelve oh one January first,
- 3:19Speaker 2: twenty twenty seven. I will have the document in front
- 3:22Speaker 2: of me and I will gladly sign it.
- 3:25Speaker 1: That's great to hear. The other problem you got these
- 3:28Speaker 1: crazy left wing district attorneys that let all the criminals out.
- 3:31Speaker 1: They that's a state job, district attorney. Does the governor
- 3:34Speaker 1: have the power to remove a district attorney?
- 3:38Speaker 2: Yes, the governor does have the power if they're not
- 3:40Speaker 2: doing their job. It's happened before. I think it's an
- 3:45Speaker 2: extraordinary measure that I wouldn't do lightly. But for instance,
- 3:50Speaker 2: if there was a district attorney that was not enforcing
- 3:54Speaker 2: the law, and if that district attorney was doing things
- 3:59Speaker 2: to make our communities less safe and doing it without
- 4:03Speaker 2: adhering to their oath of office to protect our communities,
- 4:08Speaker 2: yes I would remove that district attorney.
- 4:11Speaker 1: Hey, the reason we want you to donate go to
- 4:13Speaker 1: Blakemanfromnewyork dot com is the matching funds that you're supposed
- 4:18Speaker 1: to get. Of course you would get them, but it
- 4:20Speaker 1: looks like a total corruption with this finance board. How
- 4:23Speaker 1: did they justify denying you the matching funds?
- 4:28Speaker 2: Well, it's more political dirty tricks on the part of
- 4:31Speaker 2: Kathi Hochel. She's a cheater. We're not surprised. Basically that's
- 4:37Speaker 2: been her MO. Here's the situation. Mark, there are matching
- 4:42Speaker 2: funds that are public finance. That is the law. We
- 4:48Speaker 2: qualified for it, I was certified get it. And then
- 4:55Speaker 2: they changed the rules and regulations saying that the governor
- 4:59Speaker 2: and the Lieutenant governor have to file together and that
- 5:03Speaker 2: they would prepare a form for us to sign. Well,
- 5:07Speaker 2: they never prepared the forum. Then the commission, which is
- 5:13Speaker 2: four Democrats. The three Republicans voted four to three to
- 5:17Speaker 2: decertify us from our right to get matching funds. It's
- 5:22Speaker 2: a disgrace. It's something that you would see in a
- 5:25Speaker 2: totalitarian government. We have become a totalitarian government. There's one
- 5:31Speaker 2: party rule, and when there's one party rule, the prospects
- 5:35Speaker 2: for tyranny increase by many, many multiples. And that's what
- 5:40Speaker 2: we now have in New York. We've got a governor
- 5:44Speaker 2: who runs the state as if it's their own personal
- 5:48Speaker 2: piggy bank. She runs the state with an iron cyst,
- 5:53Speaker 2: and she's a bully, and we want to make people
- 5:57Speaker 2: in New York happy again. We want to put New
- 5:59Speaker 2: York first. She spent eight billion dollars of our taxpayer
- 6:04Speaker 2: money on non New Yorkers, on people who came here illegally.
- 6:08Speaker 2: They're here for fifteen minutes. They got free housing, free food,
- 6:11Speaker 2: free lodging, and a free cell phone. I mean, what
- 6:14Speaker 2: does that say to the hard working New Yorkers who
- 6:17Speaker 2: are struggling to make ends meet every day that their
- 6:21Speaker 2: governor in the most overtaxed state in the United States
- 6:25Speaker 2: is fritting away their money, their taxpayer money on people
- 6:29Speaker 2: who aren't New Yorkers. That also ends on January first.
- 6:33Speaker 2: I'm going to put New Yorkers first, make New Yorkers
- 6:36Speaker 2: happy again by having a governor that cares about them
- 6:38Speaker 2: and their families.
- 6:40Speaker 1: Well, you go to Blakemanfromnewyork dot Com, Bruce Blakeman. Obviously,
- 6:44Speaker 1: you know you've done well with taxes and crime and
- 6:47Speaker 1: everything in Nassau County, but when you get up there
- 6:49Speaker 1: to Albany, how much can you do about taxes with
- 6:51Speaker 1: that crazy legislature.
- 6:54Speaker 2: Well, it's a bargaining process, and the governor has a
- 6:57Speaker 2: tremendous amount of power when it comes to the budget.
- 7:00Speaker 2: So there are things that the legislature is going to want,
- 7:04Speaker 2: and there's things that I as the governor. So we
- 7:09Speaker 2: all have to and negotiate. But I'm not going to
- 7:14Speaker 2: give one inch on the things that are important to me,
- 7:18Speaker 2: and that is creating economic development and immediately cutting electric
- 7:23Speaker 2: costs in half. When you look at your electric bill,
- 7:26Speaker 2: only thirty percent of your payment goes for energy, only
- 7:30Speaker 2: thirty percent. The rest goes for excessive delivery, fies, more taxes,
- 7:35Speaker 2: and the green energy scan that produces very little energy.
- 7:39Speaker 2: So that ends, we are going to be done with
- 7:42Speaker 2: all these experiments that cost billions and billions of dollars
- 7:46Speaker 2: and produced very little energy. We're going to open up
- 7:49Speaker 2: the Marcella's shale to drilling. We have one of the
- 7:52Speaker 2: biggest natural gas reserves in the world. That will create
- 7:55Speaker 2: a huge supply. And when you have a huge supply,
- 7:58Speaker 2: it brings down energy costs. So you're going to have
- 8:02Speaker 2: a governor that will immediately reduce your electric bills in half,
- 8:07Speaker 2: will work to cut taxes and create economic development and
- 8:11Speaker 2: prosperity for every family in New York.
- 8:14Speaker 1: Yeah, you know there, Democrats love to yell about President
- 8:16Speaker 1: Trump raised gas prices, it's costing you an extra one
- 8:19Speaker 1: hundred a month. Nobody ever points out those policies you
- 8:24Speaker 1: mentioned took your electric bill from one hundred to four
- 8:26Speaker 1: hundred dollars a month. But again, can you really make
- 8:30Speaker 1: those changes without the legislature? Is that possible?
- 8:33Speaker 2: Yes, because the governor has authority over the administration. The
- 8:39Speaker 2: electric bills are promulgated by rules and regulations of a
- 8:44Speaker 2: regulatory authority, and the governor has the power of appointment.
- 8:49Speaker 2: So yes, I will appoint people to those boards that
- 8:53Speaker 2: put the consumer first, put the rate payer first, and
- 8:57Speaker 2: not all of these green energy scan companies that contribute
- 9:02Speaker 2: millions of dollars to Kathy Hockel's campaign.
- 9:04Speaker 1: Yeah, hey, Brice Blake, when they pulled these dirty tricks
- 9:08Speaker 1: with the campaign finance board. When it comes to having
- 9:10Speaker 1: a debate, which of course you should have, what's she
- 9:13Speaker 1: going to pull there? Is she going to agree to debate?
- 9:17Speaker 2: Well, I'd like to have a debate every month from
- 9:20Speaker 2: now until the election. I think that it's important that
- 9:23Speaker 2: the people have an opportunity to measure us both to
- 9:28Speaker 2: see where we stand on policies. But of course she
- 9:31Speaker 2: will do everything in her power not to debate me.
- 9:35Speaker 2: She has said she's not taking matching funds because a
- 9:40Speaker 2: rule of taking matching funds says that you have to
- 9:43Speaker 2: be willing to debate. She wants no part of debating me.
- 9:47Speaker 2: How could she want to debate me when I have
- 9:49Speaker 2: a record of four years of making people happy, lowering taxes.
- 9:55Speaker 2: I have the safest county in America according to the
- 9:57Speaker 2: US News and we're report we have economic development and prosperity.
- 10:01Speaker 2: You've got the lowest poverty rate in the state. How
- 10:04Speaker 2: in the world is she going to want to debate
- 10:06Speaker 2: me when she's got four years of a record of failure,
- 10:10Speaker 2: of a record of making people miserable. We are the
- 10:13Speaker 2: most overtaxed, overregulated state. Our utility bills are fifty percent
- 10:18Speaker 2: higher than the national average. Our crime is out of control.
- 10:23Speaker 2: People don't want to use public transportation because of the
- 10:27Speaker 2: fact that they don't feel safe, and they need a
- 10:30Speaker 2: governor that's going to care about them and put them first.
- 10:33Speaker 2: And that's why I'm absolutely confident that on October first,
- 10:37Speaker 2: excuse me, on January first, of twenty twenty seven, I
- 10:41Speaker 2: will be sworn in as the next governor of the state.
- 10:43Speaker 1: Well, we hope. So, Hey, you started twenty points behind
- 10:46Speaker 1: the polls, but every time you've ever run, you're always
- 10:49Speaker 1: twenty points behind the polls. Next thing, you know, you win.
- 10:52Speaker 1: But how's it going. I know you've come way up
- 10:54Speaker 1: in the polls recently.
- 10:56Speaker 2: Yeah, we've cut that more than in half. We are
- 11:01Speaker 2: in single digits. Now. We are six months ahead of
- 11:03Speaker 2: our own schedule. And that's because, you know, Kathy Hochel
- 11:07Speaker 2: is helping my campaign, Zoe rah Mondami's helping my campaign.
- 11:11Speaker 2: They're in league together. They're failed policies. Now they're going
- 11:15Speaker 2: to open up a grocery store, a city run grocery
- 11:19Speaker 2: store together. I mean, why is the city and the
- 11:22Speaker 2: state getting involved in the grocery business. It's max of socialism,
- 11:27Speaker 2: which is nothing more than shared misery. I don't want
- 11:30Speaker 2: to make people miserable anymore. I want to make them happy,
- 11:33Speaker 2: just like I did in Nassau County. People in New
- 11:36Speaker 2: York State want to be proud of their government. They
- 11:38Speaker 2: want to be proud of their state, and right now
- 11:40Speaker 2: they're not. And it's a shame. And I will correct
- 11:44Speaker 2: that situation when I'm elected governor.
- 11:46Speaker 1: Well, Bruce Blakeman would be a great governor. We want
- 11:49Speaker 1: everybody to help out. You can donate, that's important. You
- 11:52Speaker 1: can volunteer. Go to Blakemanfromnew York dot com and you
- 11:57Speaker 1: can do it there. Blakeman for New York dot Com.
- 12:01Speaker 1: Bruce Blakeman, great, Thanks for being with us.
- 12:04Speaker 2: Mark, Thank you so much. God bless you. You're a
- 12:07Speaker 2: great American in the great New York.
- 12:09Speaker 1: Well, thanks a lot, we'll talk again soon. Thanks for
- 12:12Speaker 1: being with us. Hey coming up, Buck and Clay noon today,
