- 0:04Speaker 1: Hey, this is John Schneider, and you are listening to
- 0:06Speaker 1: Movie Meltdown.
- 0:08Speaker 2: It's now or never.
- 0:12Speaker 3: Come hold me tight. Kiss me, my darling.
- 0:20Speaker 4: Be mine tonight.
- 0:25Speaker 1: This episode is rated M for Misty. Yes, that's right,
- 0:29Speaker 1: this is a Misty episode, so it will be laced
- 0:31Speaker 1: with profanity even more than usual. If you're not comfortable
- 0:34Speaker 1: with this level of profanity, perhaps this isn't the episode
- 0:37Speaker 1: for you. But we have many other episodes to choose
- 0:39Speaker 1: from that do not feature Misty and will probably be
- 0:42Speaker 1: far less offensive. Okay, maybe. With that having been said,
- 0:46Speaker 1: on with the show. It's showtime, folks. Enjoy the show.
- 1:03Speaker 3: Our nuclear reactor pumping out one million kilowatts of power.
- 1:37Speaker 2: What's up?
- 1:38Speaker 5: Welcome to Movie Meltdown.
- 1:49Speaker 2: I'm Brian.
- 1:50Speaker 6: I'm Misty.
- 1:51Speaker 1: And I'm Jay.
- 1:53Speaker 6: You seem like you weren't quite certain.
- 1:55Speaker 1: I didn't know I was coming back.
- 1:58Speaker 2: You're always here.
- 1:59Speaker 7: You can't escape.
- 2:00Speaker 1: You know that.
- 2:01Speaker 7: And we're coming to you live via digital recording from
- 2:04Speaker 7: the Oddity Studios as we continue on with our Scarefest
- 2:07Speaker 7: wrap-up for this year. So, aside from that, and this
- 2:12Speaker 7: I realized when I was thinking as we're driving there today,
- 2:15Speaker 7: I was like, you know what we also talked about
- 2:17Speaker 7: last time? I remember talking last year as we're there
- 2:21Speaker 7: on the outskirts of Scarefest about our fun seasonal foods.
- 2:26Speaker 7: It was nice and cool this past week. I know
- 2:29Speaker 7: now it's back to being hot and annoying again, but
- 2:31Speaker 7: I felt for a day and a half, I'd get
- 2:34Speaker 7: up in the morning, I'd be like, it's.
- 2:36Speaker 2: Kind of like fall.
- 2:37Speaker 6: I know. I had chili the other day.
- 2:39Speaker 7: I was like, Halloween's on the way. We're Halloween people,
- 2:43Speaker 7: so we get excited.
- 2:45Speaker 6: I bought some candy corn, but then it got hot again,
- 2:47Speaker 6: and I can't feel like I can eat it yet.
- 2:49Speaker 7: So that's, yeah, that's what I was going to say.
- 2:50Speaker 6: That candy corn and the mellow pumpkins, because I fucking
- 2:53Speaker 6: love those little pumpkins.
- 2:53Speaker 7: Oh my lord. Well, I, again, I saw it start
- 2:58Speaker 7: creeping in. I started seeing the signs. Pumpkin spice something
- 3:01Speaker 7: or other is going to be.
- 3:02Speaker 2: On your shelf soon.
- 3:03Speaker 7: So as of today, I thought that would be the
- 3:06Speaker 7: way to kick off the scare fest.
- 3:08Speaker 2: And rolling into Halloween. I had.
- 3:12Speaker 7: Pumpkin flavored something oh you didn't bring me it's a
- 3:15Speaker 7: pumpkin flavored donut and they're over there would you like
- 3:17Speaker 7: one no i'm good.
- 3:18Speaker 6: You said you want i mean i already ate one
- 3:20Speaker 6: of your weird fucking key lime pie twizzlers you.
- 3:23Speaker 2: Got candy then what do you.
- 3:24Speaker 6: Want it actually wasn't bad actually.
- 3:26Speaker 2: Yeah i was i was i bought it almost of
- 3:28Speaker 2: like oh this could be.
- 3:29Speaker 6: Terrible like i said it's still not as bad as
- 3:31Speaker 6: the caramel apple twizzlers were those were nasty it.
- 3:34Speaker 7: Seems again that seems like that should work but it
- 3:36Speaker 7: was gross so much but surprisingly if you're okay with
- 3:40Speaker 7: the flavor of key lime pie This is like a
- 3:43Speaker 7: fake candy version of that. So you might, even though
- 3:46Speaker 7: they were already clearance on Mount by the time I
- 3:48Speaker 7: find them.
- 3:48Speaker 2: So good luck. Good luck tracking them down.
- 3:50Speaker 6: I never heard of them before.
- 3:52Speaker 2: I thought it was so weird. I had to try them.
- 3:54Speaker 1: So yep.
- 3:55Speaker 7: There's some candy for you. Not necessarily Halloween ish, probably
- 3:59Speaker 7: a little more, you know, Florida ish, but anyway. So yeah,
- 4:04Speaker 7: I thought it was kind of cool that, you know,
- 4:06Speaker 7: the pumpkin flavored stuff's coming and that just means Halloween's
- 4:09Speaker 7: come rolling in. I'm assuming you're all excited to stock
- 4:15Speaker 7: up on Count Chocula's.
- 4:16Speaker 6: Hells yeah, I already bought the glass set. I was
- 4:18Speaker 6: pretty excited about those.
- 4:20Speaker 7: Your fine glassware that you.
- 4:23Speaker 6: Hell fucking yeah, I got me some Count Chocula glass.
- 4:26Speaker 7: Here's my china and Frankenberry glass to go with it.
- 4:29Speaker 7: Oh shit.
- 4:30Speaker 6: I love all the Halloween things. I get so excited.
- 4:34Speaker 6: But I really haven't bought anything super Halloween-y except for
- 4:37Speaker 6: the Count Chocula glass. I was pretty excited about that.
- 4:41Speaker 7: These are just random things that I thought of this
- 4:43Speaker 7: week that I'm like, we're going to have to discuss that.
- 4:46Speaker 8: Uh-oh.
- 4:47Speaker 7: Misty's going to need to know. Oh, Lord. Assuming you
- 4:50Speaker 7: haven't seen the commercials for the new Dancing with the Stars.
- 4:53Speaker 6: Oh, John Schneider. I don't have to see the commercial,
- 4:55Speaker 6: mind you. I am his friend. I follow him on Facebook,
- 4:58Speaker 6: so I see all the John Schneider related things. So
- 5:01Speaker 6: I'm pretty, I mean, I won't watch it. I'm not
- 5:04Speaker 6: going to lie.
- 5:05Speaker 2: Oh, you probably should. I mean, come on.
- 5:07Speaker 6: I'll watch the segments that have John Schneider on them.
- 5:10Speaker 8: Well, obviously.
- 5:11Speaker 6: Because, yeah, it's John Schneider and then a whole bunch of,
- 5:15Speaker 6: what the fuck is this person?
- 5:17Speaker 7: That's why I question most, I'm using quotes here, reality stars.
- 5:22Speaker 2: Most of them, I'm like, who are you?
- 5:25Speaker 6: Dancing with these people.
- 5:26Speaker 7: Dancing with some people that you probably haven't heard of
- 5:29Speaker 7: or people from other reality shows, which, by the way,
- 5:31Speaker 7: doesn't count as being a celebrity in my book. But, again,
- 5:34Speaker 7: I'm old school. So the millennials probably think reality stars
- 5:38Speaker 7: count as real stars.
- 5:39Speaker 6: I don't know.
- 5:40Speaker 2: Whatever.
- 5:41Speaker 6: But John Schneider's delightful.
- 5:42Speaker 7: But John Schneider's an old dude like me, and he
- 5:44Speaker 7: is a super cool dude because he hung out in the...
- 5:48Speaker 7: He was in the General Lee. That makes you cool, obviously. Duh.
- 5:53Speaker 6: He's got his own problems right now, so I can
- 5:55Speaker 6: understand why he's doing everything he can to get some money.
- 5:59Speaker 1: Did I hear that?
- 6:00Speaker 6: I don't know. John Schneider's having fucking financial problems. His
- 6:03Speaker 6: wife wants so much fucking money that doesn't exist.
- 6:06Speaker 7: I might have sent that thing to you, too. Like,
- 6:08Speaker 7: what the hell is going on with John Schneider? I
- 6:10Speaker 7: kind of blocked that out already.
- 6:11Speaker 6: He's like, dude, he told the judge, just send me
- 6:15Speaker 6: to jail. I can't give her this money. I don't
- 6:17Speaker 6: have it. You're going to have to just, I'll do
- 6:18Speaker 6: my time.
- 6:20Speaker 7: Well, again, it's not like he was rolling in cash.
- 6:23Speaker 7: Because even when I remember talking to him, he was like,
- 6:26Speaker 7: he seemed way more interested in just like, Because he
- 6:30Speaker 7: had land, but it was land in, like, Louisiana, wasn't it?
- 6:33Speaker 6: Which then got flooded. He had a studio.
- 6:34Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 6:35Speaker 6: His studio was there. It got flooded twice, so he
- 6:37Speaker 6: has no fucking money.
- 6:38Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 6:39Speaker 7: And that's all he seemed like he was concerned with
- 6:40Speaker 7: at the time. He's like, he wasn't worried about most
- 6:42Speaker 7: other stuff. He was there, like, talking about, you know,
- 6:45Speaker 7: wanting to make movies with his friends and having that land.
- 6:48Speaker 7: But again, like, it was a fancy, you know, high-end studio.
- 6:52Speaker 7: It was land he had in Louisiana, which, hey, guess what?
- 6:54Speaker 2: Louisiana floods. So, of course, now everything's flooded out.
- 6:58Speaker 6: So, yeah, he's had a lot of financial hardships lately.
- 7:00Speaker 6: So he's just.
- 7:03Speaker 8: Whatever.
- 7:04Speaker 7: Oh, this is what I've been wanting to bring up
- 7:06Speaker 7: for a while. And I just because it is a
- 7:08Speaker 7: geeky related person. But have you seen the commercial? Again,
- 7:12Speaker 7: this is more general network nonsense. But have you seen
- 7:14Speaker 7: the ads.
- 7:15Speaker 2: For the rookie?
- 7:17Speaker 9: No.
- 7:18Speaker 2: The new rookie.
- 7:19Speaker 7: There wasn't old like rookies, but this is a new
- 7:22Speaker 7: TV show.
- 7:23Speaker 2: It's about a cop.
- 7:24Speaker 7: He's an old dude that decides to be a cop
- 7:26Speaker 7: and it stars Nathan Fillion.
- 7:28Speaker 6: Oh, I love Nathan Fillion.
- 7:30Speaker 7: Which it does, it actually looks well made, but there
- 7:33Speaker 7: was a moment where I went, wait a minute. So
- 7:36Speaker 7: the premise of this is all the cops and they
- 7:39Speaker 7: all get together for their Hill Street Blues moment and
- 7:41Speaker 7: the cop up front is making fun of him because
- 7:43Speaker 7: he's an old dude. But the premise of the whole
- 7:45Speaker 7: show is this dude's 40 and decides to become a cop.
- 7:48Speaker 7: And I'm like, alright, now don't get me wrong, Nathan
- 7:52Speaker 7: Fillion looks good, but I'm like, know the math enough
- 7:56Speaker 7: to know there's no way in hell he's 40 like
- 7:58Speaker 7: there's some acting going on here so i looked it
- 8:01Speaker 7: up he's like the end of his 40s like he
- 8:05Speaker 7: still looks amazing he looks damn good don't get me
- 8:07Speaker 7: wrong but i was just like i just there was
- 8:09Speaker 7: just enough of a bell that went off that went
- 8:11Speaker 7: no mathematically there's no way in hell he's 40 like
- 8:15Speaker 7: i you look confused boyfriend.
- 8:16Speaker 10: Well i mean it's possible you know He could play it.
- 8:20Speaker 2: He plays it, though. That's the thing. I was like,
- 8:22Speaker 2: he looks young enough. He can pull it off.
- 8:24Speaker 1: I don't look 40.
- 8:25Speaker 7: But I just know, like, I've known who he is
- 8:27Speaker 7: for long enough. And I'm like, he was already not
- 8:30Speaker 7: a kid when this was on. And I just started
- 8:32Speaker 7: doing the math.
- 8:33Speaker 2: I was like, I'm going to Google this. It'd be
- 8:37Speaker 2: like me or you playing a 30-year-old. It would be easy.
- 8:41Speaker 7: Some people might buy it. But I just thought that
- 8:44Speaker 7: was funny for geek reasons. I was just like, no,
- 8:46Speaker 7: I know that's not true.
- 8:48Speaker 2: So I just thought that was funny.
- 8:49Speaker 10: Well, you only know it because you know it.
- 8:51Speaker 7: Because I've seen him around long enough to go.
- 8:53Speaker 2: Most people might not know it because they don't know him.
- 8:57Speaker 10: They only know him from.
- 9:00Speaker 8: They may not even know him from Firefly.
- 9:01Speaker 2: Especially network people. Well, no, they know him from.
- 9:03Speaker 6: Castle.
- 9:04Speaker 11: Castle.
- 9:04Speaker 7: Castle.
- 9:05Speaker 2: That might be the only thing they know him from.
- 9:06Speaker 2: Had a huge following, yeah, so.
- 9:08Speaker 6: Swamp Ass. Did you ever see that thing he did?
- 9:12Speaker 6: It was talking about Swamp Ass.
- 9:13Speaker 8: Oh, yeah.
- 9:14Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 9:15Speaker 6: Nathan Fillion, Swamp Ass. If you have not seen it,
- 9:18Speaker 6: watch it.
- 9:18Speaker 7: Fuck. Also his, what's the nail gun?
- 9:24Speaker 2: Oh, the nailing.
- 9:25Speaker 3: Nailing.
- 9:25Speaker 6: Nailing your boss's wife.
- 9:27Speaker 7: Nailing, yeah.
- 9:27Speaker 2: What were those called again?
- 9:29Speaker 6: Those were called, what was it?
- 9:31Speaker 8: PG porn. PG porn.
- 9:31Speaker 2: Yeah, PG porn.
- 9:32Speaker 7: Google that because this is the best one. So once again,
- 9:34Speaker 7: I love late to fill you. I just thought it
- 9:36Speaker 7: was funny. I was like, that math don't work right.
- 9:39Speaker 9: All right.
- 9:39Speaker 7: Well, I think instead, you guys don't even have to
- 9:41Speaker 7: watch a movie this week because we've got somebody to
- 9:43Speaker 7: watch a movie and they're awesome. So I'm going to
- 9:46Speaker 7: go hang out with Nicholas Vince.
- 9:48Speaker 2: We're going to talk about a movie.
- 9:49Speaker 7: And it's going to be awesome. Let's go do that right.
- 9:54Speaker 6: Now.
- 9:59Speaker 1: Am I the king of friction and.
- 10:08Speaker 7: Heartache and the pain is of no consequence.
- 10:21Speaker 6: I am heaven.
- 10:25Speaker 12: My walls are closing in.
- 10:30Speaker 7: Control. All right, so we're back with, you know, one
- 10:42Speaker 7: of my favorite guests. And I guess things have been
- 10:45Speaker 7: going well since last we spoke.
- 10:46Speaker 8: Yeah, it's been quite extraordinary.
- 10:49Speaker 3: Hi, Brian.
- 10:50Speaker 2: How are you?
- 10:53Speaker 8: Yeah, it's been a really, really busy year. So I made,
- 10:57Speaker 8: kind of kicked off at the beginning of 2017 when
- 11:00Speaker 8: I did a Kickstarter for a couple of short films
- 11:07Speaker 8: that are.
- 11:10Speaker 8: Your Appraisal and Necessary Evils, which was very well, went
- 11:18Speaker 8: extraordinarily well. I filmed with my mates over at Celtic
- 11:21Speaker 8: Badger in Ireland over three days. Two short films in
- 11:26Speaker 8: three days, so much fun. Supported by a wonderful cast
- 11:30Speaker 8: and crew. And then at the same time, I got
- 11:32Speaker 8: a lot of acting work, particularly with, Book of Monsters,
- 11:38Speaker 8: playing Jonas, playing a dad in Book of Monsters, which
- 11:43Speaker 8: premiered at London Fright Fest three weeks ago now, at
- 11:49Speaker 8: the beginning, yeah, in August, over the August bank holiday
- 11:52Speaker 8: weekend in the UK.
- 11:53Speaker 2: Is that a full-length feature?
- 11:55Speaker 8: It's a full-length feature, yeah, a feature film. And they
- 11:58Speaker 8: were able to announce immediately afterwards that it's being picked
- 12:03Speaker 8: up for distribution by Dread Central Presents, and I believe
- 12:07Speaker 8: it's only their fifth title. So I'm really excited about
- 12:12Speaker 8: it because I think their plans, from what I understand,
- 12:14Speaker 8: there will be a limited theatrical release and then a
- 12:17Speaker 8: new great DVD, and obviously it's a huge website. So
- 12:20Speaker 8: I think we're in very good, safe hands there.
- 12:22Speaker 1: Definitely.
- 12:24Speaker 7: Well, we had a movie to discuss, but I know
- 12:27Speaker 7: a lot of times on the show I'll be like,
- 12:29Speaker 7: I'll ask people, hey, what have you seen? But this
- 12:30Speaker 7: time I've seen something that, I actually saw it the
- 12:33Speaker 7: same weekend as the movie that you threw out there
- 12:36Speaker 7: as a suggestion. And then I was like, this is
- 12:38Speaker 7: odd timing because it is almost like a spectrum of
- 12:42Speaker 7: we couldn't have gotten to this place without this one.
- 12:45Speaker 7: And just because I don't know how many people have
- 12:47Speaker 7: heard of this one, but let me get the title.
- 12:50Speaker 7: It is a documentary called Scotty and the Secret History
- 12:52Speaker 7: of Hollywood. And the way they pitch it is the
- 12:57Speaker 7: deliciously scandalous story of Scotty Bowers, a former Marine who
- 13:02Speaker 7: lands in Hollywood after World War II and becomes a
- 13:05Speaker 7: legendary escort and sexual procurer for many celebrities as time
- 13:10Speaker 7: went on.
- 13:10Speaker 3: Oh, wow.
- 13:11Speaker 2: And it is amazing.
- 13:13Speaker 7: Once you get into it, he is, he is, he's
- 13:16Speaker 7: like 90 when the movie starts, we were at his
- 13:19Speaker 7: birthday party and he is still very fun and relaxed and,
- 13:25Speaker 7: and just sort of involved in everything going on. And
- 13:28Speaker 7: he's recently written a book. And in the book, at
- 13:34Speaker 7: the time, because they talked to him, and he's like,
- 13:35Speaker 7: I would have never put this out, you know, back
- 13:38Speaker 7: in the day. Because, and he kind of catered to
- 13:42Speaker 7: anyone who needed services, but a lot of the people
- 13:46Speaker 7: were gay celebrities. And as you get into this, he's
- 13:50Speaker 7: telling all these people, and it gets into, like, pretty huge, like, again,
- 13:55Speaker 7: he wasn't dealing with low-end names. He, like, he deals
- 13:59Speaker 7: with Cary Grant, Randolph Scott, Spencer Tracy, Captain Hepburn, Cole Porter,
- 14:04Speaker 7: Charles Loudon.
- 14:06Speaker 2: At one point he references J. Edgar Hoover.
- 14:08Speaker 7: Like, it is amazing the amount of people that come
- 14:11Speaker 7: into play in this story of his. So there are
- 14:15Speaker 7: people that are like, you see him doing like a
- 14:18Speaker 7: book signing, and this is where I was kind of like,
- 14:21Speaker 7: it's an interesting perspective, because on one hand he's telling
- 14:25Speaker 7: the story, and he's like, I was, you know, providing
- 14:27Speaker 7: a service for people that could not live the life
- 14:31Speaker 7: that they wanted to live otherwise. Like, you couldn't just
- 14:34Speaker 7: go out on the town and find someone. So this
- 14:38Speaker 7: was the only way most of these people could, like,
- 14:41Speaker 7: have any sort of human interaction, basically.
- 14:44Speaker 8: Oh, wow.
- 14:44Speaker 2: So he's, yeah, he feels.
- 14:46Speaker 7: Like he was just providing a service. But then people
- 14:49Speaker 7: are questioning, well, now that he's like, I waited until,
- 14:51Speaker 7: you know, everyone was essentially dead before I wrote this book.
- 14:54Speaker 7: But people are still like, well, now are you betraying
- 14:57Speaker 7: the confidence between you and your former clients and friends?
- 15:01Speaker 7: He was also not just like a madam of sorts.
- 15:04Speaker 7: He became really good friends with all these people. So
- 15:08Speaker 7: people are like, is that okay that now you're sort
- 15:10Speaker 7: of after the fact outing them? Like where some of
- 15:13Speaker 7: them might not have been known to a lot of people.
- 15:16Speaker 7: So it's that part of it's kind of interesting. And
- 15:20Speaker 7: then there's also just that aspect that is it okay for, like,
- 15:24Speaker 7: the family members that, like, maybe they weren't okay with
- 15:28Speaker 7: having that out there, even though the person themselves is gone.
- 15:31Speaker 7: They have all this, you know, extended family over the years. So,
- 15:34Speaker 7: I don't know. I was going to get your take on,
- 15:37Speaker 7: you know, you haven't seen the movie yet, but just
- 15:38Speaker 7: that concept of someone dealing with that in the entertainment industry.
- 15:43Speaker 8: Because it is... It's very difficult.
- 15:45Speaker 2: It's a very different world we live in now.
- 15:46Speaker 8: Well, it is a very different world, because the movie
- 15:49Speaker 8: I chose, which was Hellbent, is 2008.
- 15:51Speaker 7: Mm-hmm.
- 15:52Speaker 8: Which was regarded as the first gay mainstream stalk and
- 15:59Speaker 8: slash film. Now, because there's people behind her who are
- 16:05Speaker 8: involved in Elm Street and Halloween and so on. And
- 16:11Speaker 8: I was kind of thinking back in terms of Clive,
- 16:15Speaker 8: Clive Barker.
- 16:15Speaker 7: Yes.
- 16:16Speaker 8: In terms of gay, you know, when he.
- 16:19Speaker 8: I was out a long time before Clive was because
- 16:21Speaker 8: I had nothing to lose. And nobody really knew who
- 16:24Speaker 8: I was, apart from the fact that I was in Hellraiser.
- 16:27Speaker 8: Clive had a phenomenally high profile.
- 16:29Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 16:30Speaker 8: And I know that there was a talk show host.
- 16:32Speaker 8: I understand a talk show host in the UK just
- 16:35Speaker 8: before he went on to set was the guy who
- 16:38Speaker 8: just looked and said, I'm going to out you during
- 16:40Speaker 8: this interview. Nice. Yeah. Actually, not in the 1980s.
- 16:44Speaker 9: Nice.
- 16:46Speaker 8: And it's kind of like, no, you don't.
- 16:48Speaker 7: It's not cool.
- 16:50Speaker 8: No, not cool at all. Because this is the era
- 16:53Speaker 8: of AIDS. And it was incredibly difficult.
- 16:57Speaker 2: And they kind of get to that.
- 16:58Speaker 7: Definitely that becomes the whole ribbon on that is the
- 17:01Speaker 7: Rock Hudson story. And that changed everything from that point on.
- 17:05Speaker 8: Yes, absolutely. And I think in terms of, I think
- 17:10Speaker 8: it's fascinating for historians to know. And let's face it,
- 17:13Speaker 8: there's a lot of gossip. The reason that I think
- 17:17Speaker 8: it's important that people should know is because it helps
- 17:21Speaker 8: young gay people. Yes. Or transgender or whatever. Whatever. Yeah,
- 17:26Speaker 8: whatever they put yourself on the spectrum.
- 17:28Speaker 7: They definitely get to that, too, that it's not exclusively
- 17:31Speaker 7: about gay celebrities or even Scotty himself. Because Scotty himself
- 17:36Speaker 7: was doing many of these special projects. And, like, Scotty also...
- 17:42Speaker 7: went wherever need be like Scotty is not a shy
- 17:45Speaker 7: guy and he did what I mean there's times when
- 17:47Speaker 7: he's involved with all these you know famous actors but
- 17:51Speaker 7: at the same time at some point they mention he
- 17:53Speaker 7: has a three-way with Ava Gardner and Lana Turner so
- 17:56Speaker 7: I mean I'm like yeah Scotty just took care of
- 17:59Speaker 7: whatever business he felt was.
- 18:00Speaker 8: Necessary yeah that's really interesting he's yeah he's a fascinating
- 18:04Speaker 8: guy I think that the inevitably what one must ask
- 18:09Speaker 8: is okay these people are dead therefore they cannot deny
- 18:15Speaker 8: one has to wonder what proof and therefore they can't
- 18:19Speaker 8: argue irrespective of the morality it's just pure from a
- 18:23Speaker 8: historical perspective how much should we believe can we believe
- 18:27Speaker 8: and prove stuff happens and there doesn't seem to be
- 18:35Speaker 8: too much point in making yeah Telling lies about it. So, yeah,
- 18:41Speaker 8: I think it's difficult. I think mostly people who are gay, etc.
- 18:48Speaker 8: My breath, and I've just said it, etc. Wherever you
- 18:51Speaker 8: find yourself on the spectrum.
- 18:52Speaker 2: Well, that's kind of where we land now.
- 18:54Speaker 7: You just don't question anyone.
- 18:55Speaker 8: You just do what you're okay with. And as long
- 18:58Speaker 8: as you're not actually physically harming anybody. Willing parts. Well, yes,
- 19:03Speaker 8: and it's to do with... Somebody was asking me about
- 19:07Speaker 8: We were talking about the Me Too, funnily enough, at
- 19:09Speaker 8: this convention. We're at Scarefest at the moment. We were
- 19:12Speaker 8: out and saying there is a danger of the witch hunt.
- 19:16Speaker 2: There's been a few that are questionable already.
- 19:19Speaker 8: Yeah, absolutely. It's kind of like saying there's this feeling.
- 19:22Speaker 8: And also, different times, different mores, different understandings. I think
- 19:30Speaker 8: it's to do with the position of power. If somebody
- 19:33Speaker 8: has a position of power, if they are a gatekeeper,
- 19:36Speaker 8: I think this is what is so disgusting about Harvey
- 19:38Speaker 8: Weinstein and all his supporters and the act of time
- 19:41Speaker 8: is the fact that actresses were expected to sleep with
- 19:46Speaker 8: basically unattractive men because they had the power, because they weren't...
- 19:50Speaker 8: the Glittering Prize. And I think this is where it's
- 19:54Speaker 8: deeply disturbing. Kevin Spacey is not a nice person from
- 19:58Speaker 8: what I understand. And when it's between men, men are
- 20:03Speaker 8: predatory creatures. And sexually predatory creatures. And if you're young
- 20:11Speaker 8: and pretty, you learn how to deal with that pretty quickly.
- 20:16Speaker 8: Particularly if you're straight and you're wanting to work in
- 20:18Speaker 8: the industry, you have to learn straight, gay, because it
- 20:25Speaker 8: wasn't just Harvey Weinstein. There are the equivalent of male
- 20:29Speaker 8: predators in that. It's like saying, do me a favor, etc. No,
- 20:34Speaker 8: I think you have to be careful about And I
- 20:39Speaker 8: think it is to do with the power and youth
- 20:44Speaker 8: and so on. And let's face it, young men are
- 20:46Speaker 8: horny bastards. Without a doubt. And also, when I say this,
- 20:51Speaker 8: I have to couch this very carefully. Women are also
- 20:58Speaker 8: sexual creatures.
- 20:59Speaker 7: And should be allowed to be, but not taken advantage of.
- 21:03Speaker 8: But again, women do use their sexual wiles in order
- 21:08Speaker 8: to entice men. That is all part of the way
- 21:13Speaker 8: that sexuality works. I think the way you have to
- 21:17Speaker 8: look at it is to do with the position of power.
- 21:22Speaker 8: What is the situation here? And then we do need
- 21:27Speaker 8: to protect young people. Obviously, we need to protect young people.
- 21:32Speaker 8: And that actually, we should be basing stuff on... The
- 21:35Speaker 8: trouble is, people is people. And a lot of... Whatever
- 21:39Speaker 8: the theory of it is. Interesting. I look forward to
- 21:42Speaker 8: seeing it. Yeah, definitely. That sounds really interesting. Is it
- 21:46Speaker 8: on Netflix?
- 21:47Speaker 2: It just.
- 21:48Speaker 7: Again, it was a limited theatrical run that played in
- 21:51Speaker 7: my town.
- 21:52Speaker 2: But yeah, I.
- 21:53Speaker 7: I would definitely look for it in theaters, and I
- 21:55Speaker 7: would assume it's going to hit streaming pretty quick.
- 21:57Speaker 9: Right, right.
- 21:57Speaker 2: Because documentaries, there's always a home for those.
- 21:59Speaker 8: Yeah, no, absolutely. And what's the name of it again?
- 22:02Speaker 7: It is, just to get it right, Scotty and the
- 22:04Speaker 7: Secret History of Hollywood.
- 22:06Speaker 8: Scotty and the Secret History of Hollywood.
- 22:08Speaker 7: So it is definitely worth checking out.
- 22:11Speaker 6: Cool.
- 22:12Speaker 7: But that seemed like interesting timing, because, yeah, as we
- 22:14Speaker 7: get into this week's Sofa Theater feature is Hellbent, the
- 22:17Speaker 7: year is 2004, and the director, Paul.
- 22:21Speaker 7: Is it Etheridge?
- 22:23Speaker 8: Yeah, I think it's Etheridge.
- 22:26Speaker 7: And they plot, according to IMDb, Halloween in West Hollywood.
- 22:29Speaker 7: Two guys making out in the park are interrupted by
- 22:33Speaker 7: a serial killer. Later that night, a group of gay
- 22:36Speaker 7: kids decide to visit the site of the murders. Not
- 22:39Speaker 7: the greatest, but.
- 22:40Speaker 2: It never is on IMDb. So, spoiler alert.
- 22:44Speaker 8: I guess.
- 22:44Speaker 1: Go watch this movie.
- 22:46Speaker 8: Spoiler alert.
- 22:49Speaker 7: But yeah, I guess I want to hit all of
- 22:52Speaker 7: it because i do still have because even you sort
- 22:54Speaker 7: of mentioned it when you pitched it because i'm like
- 22:56Speaker 7: there are times when i'm like okay this is also
- 22:59Speaker 7: an independent production because there are moments when i'm like
- 23:02Speaker 7: oh lighting issues in.
- 23:05Speaker 2: The office in particular.
- 23:07Speaker 8: Oh huge lighting it's so dark i mean you have
- 23:10Speaker 8: to turn the brightness of this out and you just
- 23:13Speaker 8: think okay this is really dark they took this from
- 23:15Speaker 8: a really from a what obviously was fairly limited yeah
- 23:18Speaker 8: all And I remember when we first saw it. Funnily enough,
- 23:21Speaker 8: when I first saw it, the thing that attracted me,
- 23:24Speaker 8: I hadn't realized it was a gay film when I
- 23:25Speaker 8: first saw it. The poster, it shows a guy with
- 23:29Speaker 8: a sickle resting on his eyeball, the point of a
- 23:31Speaker 8: sickle resting on his eyeball. And I remember it was like, oh, wow,
- 23:35Speaker 8: that's really powerful. And that was the thing that first
- 23:39Speaker 8: attracted me.
- 23:40Speaker 2: And you sort of bank on that image, it feels like.
- 23:42Speaker 8: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 23:44Speaker 7: I almost wonder if it's almost reverse-engineered. did they have
- 23:48Speaker 7: that image? And we're like, how do we make that
- 23:52Speaker 7: a functional part of our story? Because there's a, I'm like, otherwise,
- 23:57Speaker 7: does it have a reason to tie? I mean, I
- 23:59Speaker 7: found a good way to loop it into him and
- 24:01Speaker 7: the not being a cop and all, but I'm just like,
- 24:04Speaker 7: it feels almost like the poster, again, in true old
- 24:07Speaker 7: school Hollywood fashion, the poster came first and they went, okay,
- 24:10Speaker 7: now how do we make this fit our post? Yeah.
- 24:12Speaker 2: This is a great image, which it is.
- 24:15Speaker 8: Yeah. Well, I, We're kind of pressed for time. Which
- 24:23Speaker 8: is my fault, folks. I just ran very, very late
- 24:25Speaker 8: and managed to... You have a.
- 24:26Speaker 2: Lot going on.
- 24:26Speaker 8: I have a lot going on today. I think what
- 24:28Speaker 8: I find absolutely fascinating is that it is just... I'm
- 24:33Speaker 8: not saying it's really gay men. It's done without this
- 24:39Speaker 8: being an issue. It is just.
- 24:43Speaker 8: These are just guys out to have a really good time.
- 24:46Speaker 8: It's really, really well done. Apart from the technical issues
- 24:49Speaker 8: we've talked about.
- 24:50Speaker 6: Yeah, otherwise.
- 24:51Speaker 8: The murders. For those of us, or for me, watching it,
- 24:56Speaker 8: it's very much gay stereotypes. In terms of clones and
- 25:03Speaker 8: drag queens, etc. But Beautifully Done is a lot to
- 25:07Speaker 8: do with identity. It's a lot to do with wanting
- 25:09Speaker 8: to find friendship more than just sex. It's a about relationships, um,
- 25:18Speaker 8: and so on. You have basically gay men in West
- 25:20Speaker 8: Hollywood as teenagers. Um, it's like, they're not, they're in
- 25:24Speaker 8: their twenties, their late twenties and thirties. They're not kids.
- 25:27Speaker 8: They are not kids, but they're behaving like teenagers because that,
- 25:31Speaker 8: you know, gay men, um, who obviously the Peter Pan complex, um,
- 25:36Speaker 8: I think it's very well done. It's got some really
- 25:38Speaker 8: good jump scares. It's taught. Um, it's a really good fatty.
- 25:43Speaker 1: Um, It's a leather devil.
- 25:47Speaker 8: What did you think of it?
- 25:48Speaker 7: I think that is, because again, I didn't really know
- 25:51Speaker 7: that until I was kind of already into it. I'm
- 25:53Speaker 7: just like, okay, this is definitely just full on into
- 25:58Speaker 7: that world because they are in their.
- 26:00Speaker 2: Own sort of subculture. As you get into the clubs,
- 26:02Speaker 2: it's like it's.
- 26:03Speaker 7: Not something that normal straight people bother with. So this
- 26:07Speaker 7: is like its own little self-contained world and there are
- 26:10Speaker 7: this like, there are roles for people. There are Like,
- 26:13Speaker 7: even when the guy's like, I'm not going in there. Like,
- 26:15Speaker 7: it's within their own subculture. There is, like, dividing lines of, like,
- 26:19Speaker 7: this is where I hang out. This is where you
- 26:20Speaker 7: guys hang out.
- 26:21Speaker 8: Yeah, yeah. There's a difference between a leather bar and, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 26:25Speaker 7: That's, again, almost like owning up to the realistic world
- 26:29Speaker 7: that it takes place in. Again, you can always kind
- 26:32Speaker 7: of tell when you work in gay characters that are
- 26:35Speaker 7: written by someone who's straight. And then directed by someone
- 26:37Speaker 7: who's straight and acted by... And you start feeling this
- 26:40Speaker 7: disconnect of like, I don't know that you really know
- 26:42Speaker 7: what you're doing. Whereas this at least felt genuine. And
- 26:46Speaker 7: I think what was so impressive is, again, for so
- 26:49Speaker 7: many years watching people try to shoehorn in a gay
- 26:52Speaker 7: character that they didn't know what to do with, it
- 26:55Speaker 7: also usually feels.
- 26:58Speaker 2: It feels like it's almost there for the gimmick of like,
- 27:01Speaker 2: and we need a gay character, but it never does.
- 27:03Speaker 8: It's the GBF. It's the gay best friend who gets
- 27:05Speaker 8: killed round about the second. Yeah.
- 27:07Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 27:08Speaker 8: Um, and I'll, you know, we feel for it. Sorry
- 27:10Speaker 8: for it. And yeah, that's it. You know, the gay
- 27:12Speaker 8: best friend always gets killed off. Um, let's face it. Yeah.
- 27:18Speaker 1: I did.
- 27:19Speaker 8: I just think it's really fascinating film. It's good entertainment.
- 27:22Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 27:23Speaker 8: Um, they know what they're doing.
- 27:26Speaker 7: Oh, yeah.
- 27:27Speaker 8: It's well put together. Yeah, it's really well put together.
- 27:30Speaker 7: And the kill scene, again, it's creatively shot.
- 27:33Speaker 2: The strobe light murder.
- 27:35Speaker 7: In the middle of a group of people is, like,
- 27:37Speaker 7: really interesting because you haven't, you've seen a little variation
- 27:41Speaker 7: on that, but this is so, like, in the middle.
- 27:43Speaker 7: And because it's Halloween, everyone kind of thinks that there's, like,
- 27:47Speaker 7: you know, everyone's got makeup.
- 27:49Speaker 8: On or something, so they kind of get away with
- 27:51Speaker 8: it a little more.
- 27:52Speaker 7: And it's, yeah, it's just so, again, that's what I
- 27:55Speaker 7: think it's like. It doesn't play that as part of
- 27:57Speaker 7: the gimmick of it. It's just, here's the horror movie
- 28:00Speaker 7: that we're making. And by the way, these characters are
- 28:02Speaker 7: all gay. It doesn't use that as like a crutch to, oh,
- 28:06Speaker 7: and then we shoved this in the middle of it.
- 28:08Speaker 7: Like it doesn't play it for.
- 28:11Speaker 2: Again, it just doesn't make it.
- 28:12Speaker 8: The two guys making out in the car within the
- 28:14Speaker 8: first three minutes of the movie, it's very clear what's
- 28:17Speaker 8: going on. You know right from the very beginning exactly
- 28:20Speaker 8: what it is. There is no apology for it. It
- 28:22Speaker 8: was incredibly.
- 28:23Speaker 2: Refreshing to find.
- 28:24Speaker 7: And that twist on the old school, because it's usually
- 28:26Speaker 7: from the 50s on of the guy and the girl
- 28:28Speaker 7: making out in the car. This is also going on.
- 28:33Speaker 7: It's just not the traditional version you might have seen. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 28:37Speaker 7: And it also works in a very, with that killer,
- 28:40Speaker 7: it's not, again, this could go a very ugly way
- 28:43Speaker 7: of like why they're being sought. he does not seem
- 28:46Speaker 7: to care.
- 28:47Speaker 8: Why he's just killing for the sake of.
- 28:49Speaker 7: It is by the end he is almost very jason
- 28:52Speaker 7: or michael myers yes there is nothing inside it's just
- 28:55Speaker 7: a killing machine yeah and even a joke by the
- 28:58Speaker 7: little twist ending there of like oh let's set it
- 29:01Speaker 7: up like here's the sequel.
- 29:02Speaker 8: Out yeah yeah that's.
- 29:04Speaker 7: So like traditional 80s slasher genre stuff it knows.
- 29:07Speaker 8: Exactly what it is but i think it's just a
- 29:09Speaker 8: refresher because it kind of like Gay men, as I say,
- 29:12Speaker 8: are just like teenagers. They're all interested in sex. You
- 29:15Speaker 8: get punished if you... I just think it's fun. It's
- 29:19Speaker 8: just fun, really good entertainment. As I say, turn the
- 29:22Speaker 8: brightness up as much as you can to watch what's
- 29:24Speaker 8: going on in some of the shots. But the acting's
- 29:27Speaker 8: very good. The characters are likable.
- 29:29Speaker 2: I was going to say, I think the characters are also....
- 29:34Speaker 7: Again, usually I think they're written very weak and we.
- 29:37Speaker 2: Get nothing out of them.
- 29:38Speaker 7: All of these are pretty good guys, except our cowboy
- 29:40Speaker 7: is very horny but aside from that like most of
- 29:43Speaker 7: these guys i'm like you want to hang out with
- 29:45Speaker 7: them like these are all pretty good guys and they're
- 29:48Speaker 7: well written and they're you see them again like they're
- 29:51Speaker 7: hanging out together they want to go hook up but
- 29:53Speaker 7: they're not there to be involved with each other they're
- 29:56Speaker 7: just there because they're a great core group of friends
- 29:59Speaker 7: yeah and that comes through and i think that all
- 30:01Speaker 7: is so well written that it's it's pretty impressive that
- 30:04Speaker 7: that got through.
- 30:05Speaker 1: The system i got made.
- 30:06Speaker 8: I love the fact that it was one of the
- 30:09Speaker 8: guys is just it's the high school crush It's just
- 30:12Speaker 8: completely the high school crush. The whole thing is set up.
- 30:17Speaker 8: It's really good. I really do recommend it.
- 30:20Speaker 2: Definitely.
- 30:21Speaker 7: So thank you for recommending it. Do you have stuff
- 30:24Speaker 7: you want to get out there you've got coming up to.
- 30:26Speaker 2: Spread the word?
- 30:27Speaker 8: I've already mentioned Book of Monsters. There is a film
- 30:32Speaker 8: called Heckle. which features Clark Gable III, Clark Gable's son,
- 30:37Speaker 8: who I believe does a TV series over here to
- 30:39Speaker 8: do with cheating lovers. I'm knowing. Who knows? I didn't
- 30:46Speaker 8: get to work with him, but I'm really interested, and
- 30:48Speaker 8: there's some more casting announcements coming out fairly soon, I believe. Again,
- 30:52Speaker 8: hopefully in the new year. Again, it was a day.
- 30:57Speaker 8: It was a really good, fun scene that I did.
- 30:59Speaker 7: Wow.
- 31:01Speaker 8: There's that. There is an anthology film. I'm in the
- 31:07Speaker 8: wraparound section for that called For We Are Many from
- 31:10Speaker 8: Hex Media. So, yes, I did shot that earlier on
- 31:17Speaker 8: as well. There's Black Gloves, also for Hex Media. I
- 31:21Speaker 8: play an uncle in that. And then there's an Italian
- 31:24Speaker 8: production called... uh, fuck you immortality, um, which I'm really
- 31:31Speaker 8: looking forward to as well. That was a, that was
- 31:33Speaker 8: absolutely fascinating. Do a day's filming in Italy, uh, just
- 31:37Speaker 8: North of Venice. Really grateful.
- 31:40Speaker 7: Specifically seek out more acting.
- 31:41Speaker 2: Cause for a while you'd settled into writing.
- 31:43Speaker 8: It seems like it's kind of like, I honestly, I'm
- 31:47Speaker 8: such a butterfly. Um, I am seeking out more acting work.
- 31:51Speaker 8: I want to do more in film TV. I'd also
- 31:54Speaker 8: do want to do more writing. Um, It's kind of
- 31:59Speaker 8: one of those things. It's just, there's so much I wanted,
- 32:02Speaker 8: as ever.
- 32:03Speaker 2: As ever, there is also so much.
- 32:06Speaker 8: If I could have another life. It's great being a Gemini,
- 32:09Speaker 8: because you can always believe you can do twice as
- 32:11Speaker 8: much as you can physically do, because half your mind
- 32:13Speaker 8: is working on something else. And I've got some other
- 32:16Speaker 8: projects that I'm working on at the moment as well.
- 32:18Speaker 8: In fact, I'm going away filming a week tomorrow. I'm
- 32:21Speaker 8: going to love it again. A film called Paintball Massacre.
- 32:27Speaker 8: She's just filming at the moment. Read the script. Love it.
- 32:29Speaker 8: Absolutely love it. So that's filming at the moment. Well,
- 32:35Speaker 8: it's filming in the next few weeks. And then again,
- 32:38Speaker 8: I'm guessing that'll probably be out sometime next year. A
- 32:42Speaker 8: lot's going on. Keep an eye on the website.
- 32:44Speaker 7: Definitely, yes. NicholasVince.com Anything you want to pass the word on,
- 32:47Speaker 7: we'll help get the word out because you've got a
- 32:48Speaker 7: lot in the works.
- 32:49Speaker 8: Thank you.
- 32:50Speaker 1: All right.
- 32:50Speaker 2: Thanks again for being on.
- 32:51Speaker 8: Thank you.
- 32:52Speaker 2: Welcome back anytime. My pleasure.
- 32:53Speaker 8: Thank you so much. Thank you.
- 32:55Speaker 2: I've been helping, baby.
- 32:58Speaker 7: Helping on loving you all day long.
- 33:01Speaker 2: Helping on drugs because.
- 33:03Speaker 6: They turn you on.
- 33:04Speaker 5: Don't know what else to do.
- 33:07Speaker 1: I've been helping, baby.
- 33:15Speaker 12: Even though now what I'm supposed to do I don't
- 33:19Speaker 12: give a damn.
- 33:37Speaker 3: For your convenience, we have an attractive snack stand with
- 33:41Speaker 3: a parade of items to tempt your taste. Buttered popcorn,
- 33:45Speaker 3: golden good and hot from the popper, sizzling hot dogs
- 33:49Speaker 3: cradled in fresh fluffy buns, ice cream treats and other
- 33:52Speaker 3: good things to eat. Plus... Ice cold Coca-Cola. So bright,
- 33:58Speaker 3: so bracing with a taste and tingle all its own.
- 34:01Speaker 3: Pause and refresh with a Coke at our snack stand.
- 34:05Speaker 3: Right now.

- 35:39Speaker 15: used to live, she ain't there no more.
- 35:41Speaker 1: Poor me.
- 35:45Speaker 2: Why such bad luck fall on me?

- 36:03Speaker 2: Guess what?
- 36:04Speaker 6: What?
- 36:04Speaker 8: We're broke.
- 36:05Speaker 2: Yeah, we definitely, I'm pulling up, turning my pockets out
- 36:09Speaker 2: right now.
- 36:10Speaker 1: Nothing.
- 36:11Speaker 8: That's what I'm saying.
- 36:12Speaker 7: I do that every week. And yet, I'm trying to
- 36:14Speaker 7: produce this show for you guys listening right now.
- 36:17Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 36:18Speaker 9: Freeloaders.
- 36:19Speaker 7: I'm just saying, you know, if you want to keep
- 36:22Speaker 7: this thing rolling, it'd be kind of awesome if you'd
- 36:25Speaker 7: go to our Patreon page and like kick in like, seriously,
- 36:28Speaker 7: like two bucks.
- 36:29Speaker 6: I mean, you're going to do like Netflix for like $ 9.
- 36:31Speaker 7: 99 and you get.
- 36:34Speaker 2: And you're probably not going to watch it all month
- 36:35Speaker 2: like I do.
- 36:36Speaker 9: Yeah, you need our commentary to figure out what to
- 36:39Speaker 9: watch on Netflix.
- 36:41Speaker 7: I think so. It's like a companion piece to all
- 36:43Speaker 7: your Amazons and Netflixes and all of these things. So
- 36:48Speaker 7: just think how much you don't make use of your
- 36:50Speaker 7: other streaming services.
- 36:52Speaker 2: But every week we're loading up a whole new episode
- 36:54Speaker 2: of us going in-depth.
- 36:57Speaker 7: More than you may want, about whatever movie we've decided
- 37:00Speaker 7: or bringing in some awesome guests. So I'm just saying...
- 37:03Speaker 7: Two bucks.
- 37:04Speaker 8: It's not so bad.
- 37:05Speaker 2: Two dollars. You won't even notice it. And you'll look
- 37:08Speaker 2: at your bank statement and be like, two dollars.
- 37:09Speaker 7: Oh, yeah.
- 37:10Speaker 9: Oh, yeah.
- 37:10Speaker 6: I'm supporting an artist that I like.
- 37:13Speaker 2: That's all I ask for.
- 37:15Speaker 7: Trying to keep this thing rolling.
- 37:17Speaker 2: And all we need is your assistance.
- 37:19Speaker 7: So go to patreon.com slash movie meltdown. Or if you

- 37:27Speaker 8: That's all you need to do.
- 37:29Speaker 6: I contribute more than two dollars a month.
- 37:31Speaker 2: Because you're awesome like that. Why don't you be awesome
- 37:34Speaker 2: like Jacqueline?
- 37:34Speaker 7: I'm just saying. I mean, really, though.
- 37:37Speaker 2: I mean, you can't be that awesome, obviously. But you
- 37:40Speaker 2: can get closer. You can climb the ladder a little bit.
- 37:43Speaker 1: Just saying.
- 37:45Speaker 7: Patreon, go support us.
- 37:47Speaker 15: All I do, all day long, fall down on my
- 37:53Speaker 15: knees and pray she come.
- 37:55Speaker 2: Back home for me.
- 38:00Speaker 15: Why is there a bad love on.
- 38:06Speaker 12: Me?
- 38:11Speaker 7: Hey, I'm Greg Sestero, and you're listening to Movie Meltdown.
- 38:14Speaker 2: Leave your stupid comments in your pocket.
- 38:16Speaker 5: Movie Meltdown.
- 38:26Speaker 8: It's part of your problem, you know. You haven't seen
- 38:28Speaker 8: enough movies. All of life's riddles are.
- 38:30Speaker 14: Answered in the movies.
- 38:32Speaker 6: And now, on with the show.
- 38:46Speaker 7: Yo, pretty ladies around the world.
- 38:50Speaker 12: Got a weird thing to show you, so tell all
- 38:53Speaker 12: the boys and girls.
- 38:54Speaker 2: Tell your brother, your sister, and your mama, too.
- 38:58Speaker 7: We're about to go down, and you know just what
- 39:01Speaker 7: to do.
- 39:02Speaker 12: Wave your hands in the air like you don't care,
- 39:07Speaker 12: like By the people as they start to look as.
- 39:10Speaker 7: They're Do your dance, do your dance, do your dance.
- 39:14Speaker 1: Quick Mama, come on baby.
- 39:16Speaker 12: Tell me what's the word Oh, word up Everybody say
- 39:21Speaker 12: When you hear the call, you've got to get it.
- 39:26Speaker 13: Underway Word up.
- 39:34Speaker 7: That is something that's kind of different with kids coming up,
- 39:36Speaker 7: raising all these kids that are into horror, like seeing
- 39:39Speaker 7: people bring their kids to these conventions.
- 39:41Speaker 2: Because today I saw two little girls, probably, I don't know,
- 39:45Speaker 2: this tall. What's this tall? Like four, five, six.
- 39:47Speaker 6: I would say six.
- 39:48Speaker 7: Six. We'll say five and six because one was a
- 39:51Speaker 7: little smaller. So like five and six year old girls,
- 39:53Speaker 7: they come up. There's a Michael Myers there actually wearing
- 39:56Speaker 7: a really good mask and complete jumpsuit.
- 39:59Speaker 6: It wasn't the guy we saw with his kid earlier,
- 40:01Speaker 6: was it?
- 40:01Speaker 14: No.
- 40:02Speaker 7: No, this was like he was doing, he was in
- 40:04Speaker 7: character the whole time. I saw him several times that day.
- 40:07Speaker 7: But they immediately just ran up to him and like
- 40:09Speaker 7: threw their arms around his legs and hugged him. And
- 40:11Speaker 7: like we're totally genuine. Like this was like, I love
- 40:15Speaker 7: horror movies. Like it's just such a different thing than like.
- 40:20Speaker 2: Little kids 20, 30 years ago would have freaked.
- 40:22Speaker 7: Out if they saw some crazy knife-wielding maniac.
- 40:25Speaker 15: Yeah.
- 40:26Speaker 7: I think they would have freaked out years ago had
- 40:27Speaker 7: they seen that.
- 40:28Speaker 2: So that's what I'm saying.
- 40:29Speaker 6: When we took your kid to fucking Wonderfest and she
- 40:32Speaker 6: freaked out over seeing Darth Vader and some stormtroopers. That's
- 40:35Speaker 6: what I'm saying.
- 40:36Speaker 7: Oh, yeah.
- 40:36Speaker 6: That was a long time ago.
- 40:37Speaker 2: It's just different.
- 40:38Speaker 8: Yeah, different.
- 40:39Speaker 6: She was like, what, seven, eight?
- 40:42Speaker 2: It's just different.
- 40:43Speaker 7: Yeah, different now. We're conditioning kids to be cool with horror, so.
- 40:47Speaker 7: Bring your kids on out to Scarefest. That's what we're saying.
- 40:50Speaker 6: Only as long as they can behave themselves. If you
- 40:51Speaker 6: bring a little screaming brat, I'm probably going to give
- 40:53Speaker 6: you dirty looks.
- 40:54Speaker 2: Yeah, mostly for Misty.
- 40:55Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 40:56Speaker 2: So thank you once again to Nicholas. And he's awesome.
- 40:59Speaker 2: Go buy his books.
- 41:00Speaker 7: Go support him because he's very cool. And go seek
- 41:03Speaker 7: him out at other conventions like Scarefest. So thank you
- 41:07Speaker 7: once again to Scarefest for putting all of this together
- 41:10Speaker 7: and making that segment possible. So go to thescarefest.com and
- 41:15Speaker 7: you can see what's in the works for next time around.
- 41:18Speaker 7: So the only other thing that happened lately that I
- 41:20Speaker 7: was going to make sure you knew about, or we
- 41:23Speaker 7: might need to start pooling money together for you, are
- 41:25Speaker 7: you familiar with the Cameo website?
- 41:29Speaker 10: Like the Word Up Cameo?
- 41:31Speaker 7: No, because that's what I thought when I heard about it.
- 41:33Speaker 7: That sounds cool.
- 41:36Speaker 2: Actually, you can get it as an app on your phone,
- 41:38Speaker 2: so you might need it right now. Basically, you can
- 41:41Speaker 2: go to this new feature.
- 41:43Speaker 7: It is interesting that this is what celebrity, speaking of
- 41:46Speaker 7: celebrity in the world we are today, that you can
- 41:50Speaker 7: basically go to this website and order yourself up a
- 41:54Speaker 7: greeting from people. And there's a lot of some celebrity,
- 42:00Speaker 7: but again, it's showing you you're bringing in a whole
- 42:02Speaker 7: different group of people that it's appealing to because it's
- 42:05Speaker 7: an app on your phone. So it's probably a lot
- 42:07Speaker 7: of kids. So there's a ton of reality stars. There's
- 42:09Speaker 7: some random like skateboard dudes from the moment. Like there's
- 42:12Speaker 7: totally different avenues of like who they're pulling in. But
- 42:15Speaker 7: there are some like actual like, celebrities and actors and
- 42:19Speaker 7: people maybe one big name so here's the one do
- 42:22Speaker 7: we need to start pulling money to get you a
- 42:25Speaker 7: special birthday greeting from bella thorne because she's on there
- 42:30Speaker 7: how much is that shit it hers is kind of
- 42:32Speaker 7: pricey oh good but here's the funny thing because they're
- 42:36Speaker 7: like 20 seconds long like it's just a shout out
- 42:38Speaker 7: on their phone basically you see them you should watch
- 42:41Speaker 7: her you might as well just bring it up now
- 42:43Speaker 7: you should watch hers Oh, my God.
- 42:45Speaker 2: She's a mess.
- 42:46Speaker 6: I'm good.
- 42:47Speaker 2: Can I get a birthday wish from Cameo? They might
- 42:50Speaker 2: be on there. Like, we can sing. Be like, what's up?
- 42:53Speaker 2: It's your birthday. Word up.
- 42:55Speaker 6: What up? Are they still alive?
- 42:57Speaker 8: They might be.
- 42:57Speaker 2: I think we're on tour not that long ago. By that,
- 42:59Speaker 2: I mean like 10 or 15 years ago.
- 43:01Speaker 6: Were they at the fair for free?
- 43:02Speaker 2: They were probably at the fair for free.
- 43:04Speaker 7: So yeah, I didn't know if you were aware of this,
- 43:07Speaker 7: but yeah.
- 43:08Speaker 6: Bella Thorne is such a fucking mess, but goddamn.
- 43:10Speaker 2: Oh my God, you need to watch her videos.
- 43:12Speaker 6: I do watch her videos. I get on the Twitters.
- 43:15Speaker 7: Because this is like, that's what's funny is you would
- 43:18Speaker 7: think it's going out to your fans, so you'd put
- 43:20Speaker 7: a little effort in, but Bella is Bella.
- 43:22Speaker 2: So she's laying on her bed.
- 43:24Speaker 6: Zero fucks to give.
- 43:25Speaker 2: Zero makeups to wear.
- 43:27Speaker 7: She is, no offense, but like normally I don't care,
- 43:31Speaker 7: but I'm like, damn, what the hell's going.
- 43:34Speaker 2: On, Bella?
- 43:35Speaker 7: So, like, she is just a mess, and everything is fucking,
- 43:40Speaker 7: it's your fucking birthday!
- 43:41Speaker 2: Like, she just, the zero fucks has turned to 11, because.
- 43:45Speaker 7: Oh my god, she's such a mess. So, yeah, I just,
- 43:49Speaker 7: I thought it was pretty damn funny.
- 43:52Speaker 8: She is.
- 43:52Speaker 6: Like I said, I'm on her Twitter page, but yeah,
- 43:55Speaker 6: she is just in her own world. She is, but her,
- 43:59Speaker 6: but the One of her new movies I watched the
- 44:01Speaker 6: trailer for. It looks good.
- 44:02Speaker 2: Yeah, I was surprised. I was like, what does she do?
- 44:05Speaker 6: Where you can see dead people or something?
- 44:06Speaker 2: I thought the one where she can't go out in
- 44:08Speaker 2: the sun or something like that.
- 44:09Speaker 6: No, there's another newer one.
- 44:11Speaker 7: Because she's doing semi-serious stuff. I was like, wait, you
- 44:14Speaker 7: kept your clothes on for a whole movie? That's not
- 44:16Speaker 7: how you operate on your Instagram feed.
- 44:17Speaker 6: You didn't see what she was wearing in the Amityville Horror.
- 44:20Speaker 2: See, again, you've told me about that one.
- 44:23Speaker 7: I haven't thought it out yet.
- 44:25Speaker 6: What little there is to that shirt. I'm like, why
- 44:27Speaker 6: even bother at this point?
- 44:29Speaker 2: Personalized shout-outs.
- 44:31Speaker 1: Here we go.
- 44:32Speaker 2: Browse our talent.
- 44:32Speaker 7: Talent.
- 44:37Speaker 6: That wasn't even worth, like, all four-finger air quotes.
- 44:42Speaker 1: All right.
- 44:42Speaker 7: So, again, like, you see who they're kind of appealing
- 44:45Speaker 7: to because there's a whole section of just YouTubers. I'm like, dude,
- 44:48Speaker 7: if you can't give it a YouTuber to get you
- 44:49Speaker 7: a shout-out, like, geez. There are musicians. Okay, let's do
- 44:54Speaker 7: the actors, though. See, some of them, like, I saw
- 44:57Speaker 7: the clip that were, like, or as Hilton does it,
- 44:59Speaker 7: but I'm like, he's like, I just do them for cheap.
- 45:01Speaker 2: Like, I just think it's fun.
- 45:02Speaker 7: Like, and I made a good amount of money doing
- 45:03Speaker 7: them for nothing. So he's kind of doing, oh shit,
- 45:06Speaker 7: you can get Lance Bass.
- 45:07Speaker 2: Look at that.
- 45:08Speaker 6: Oh shit.
- 45:08Speaker 2: Look at that. How excited are you?
- 45:10Speaker 6: He'd probably come over and make me a birthday cake.
- 45:14Speaker 2: And it'd be fucking fabulous. Oh, that was my other one.
- 45:16Speaker 8: Look at it.
- 45:17Speaker 6: Oh, Chad Lindbergh.
- 45:18Speaker 11: No, look.
- 45:19Speaker 6: Oh, Simon Rex.
- 45:20Speaker 14: Simon Rex.
- 45:20Speaker 6: Holy, I was distracted by Ash from.
- 45:24Speaker 7: Oh God.
- 45:25Speaker 6: Supernatural Ash.
- 45:27Speaker 8: Oh, yeah.
- 45:28Speaker 2: Here you go.
- 45:28Speaker 7: It's not just millennials they're appealing to. Larry Wilcox from
- 45:32Speaker 7: Chips is on there.
- 45:34Speaker 2: Wow, what punch? Or, I mean, John? John from Chips.
- 45:38Speaker 1: Nobody's going to know who he is.
- 45:39Speaker 8: I know.
- 45:40Speaker 7: Oh, Lord, Kathy Griffin.
- 45:42Speaker 2: Can I pay to not have her call me?
- 45:44Speaker 6: I love Simon Rex. And let me tell you, the
- 45:46Speaker 6: only thing better than Simon Rex is on his Twitter page.
- 45:48Speaker 6: He has this segment where all he does is mock,
- 45:51Speaker 6: review Drake songs.
- 45:53Speaker 7: Well, please mock Drake as much as you want because
- 45:57Speaker 7: he gets on my nerves. But Kelly Berglund, on the
- 46:01Speaker 7: other hand, is not.
- 46:02Speaker 1: She's on here.
- 46:03Speaker 7: But then I watch Lab Rat, so what do I know?
- 46:07Speaker 2: There was the other one.
- 46:08Speaker 8: Look.
- 46:10Speaker 6: Danica Keller.
- 46:11Speaker 8: John Schneider.
- 46:11Speaker 6: I love John Schneider.
- 46:13Speaker 7: He's gorgeous.
- 46:16Speaker 10: Is Robert Sheehan on there?
- 46:18Speaker 6: I love Robert Sheehan.
- 46:19Speaker 1: Sheehan.
- 46:20Speaker 7: The fact that Danica's on here is too. Like if
- 46:22Speaker 7: she gets on my shout out and gives me some
- 46:23Speaker 7: like math problems.
- 46:24Speaker 2: And shit, I'll be pretty excited.
- 46:25Speaker 6: She is smart.
- 46:26Speaker 7: She is damn smart. Oh, I just thought this was
- 46:30Speaker 7: funny that this even became a thing now. So yeah,
- 46:35Speaker 7: if you need to sign up for some of these.
- 46:38Speaker 7: Oh shit, Drake Bell.
- 46:40Speaker 2: You got some superstars.
- 46:41Speaker 6: He really has nothing better to do.
- 46:44Speaker 7: That blonde dude from Harry Potter.
- 46:46Speaker 6: Yeah, I don't know who that is.
- 46:48Speaker 7: Yeah, I know. Greg Cicero, previous guest of the show.
- 46:53Speaker 7: And Greg's was cheap. Again, I think he just likes
- 46:56Speaker 7: doing it. Some of these are funny.
- 46:59Speaker 2: It is a fun idea, but it's just... How much
- 47:01Speaker 2: is cheap ones? Some of them are like $ 25.
- 47:04Speaker 8: Really?
- 47:04Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 47:06Speaker 7: I might do that, but I don't know who I
- 47:08Speaker 7: would get. You'll have to browse the people on here.
- 47:12Speaker 10: Can I look at them without downloading the app?
- 47:15Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm just scrolling through their options, so.
- 47:18Speaker 6: Don't get me one of those.
- 47:20Speaker 3: What?
- 47:20Speaker 7: Don't get me one of those. Don't get you one
- 47:22Speaker 7: of what?
- 47:23Speaker 6: Cameo things. He's going to get you one of these.
- 47:27Speaker 2: He's going to get one for him.
- 47:29Speaker 10: Depends on who's on there.
- 47:32Speaker 8: I mean, I can't.
- 47:33Speaker 2: I'll tell you now, you can't afford Caitlyn Jenner.
- 47:35Speaker 6: I don't care about Caitlyn.
- 47:37Speaker 2: Caitlyn's on here. But I was like clicked. I was like,
- 47:40Speaker 2: what's that going?
- 47:41Speaker 1: Jesus.
- 47:42Speaker 6: How much was it?
- 47:42Speaker 2: Let's see. It's only a grand.
- 47:48Speaker 11: What?
- 47:48Speaker 2: Why don't you just go ahead and book one right now?
- 47:50Speaker 6: Fuck that mess.
- 47:51Speaker 2: Craziness.
- 47:53Speaker 7: I don't know most of these people.
- 47:55Speaker 2: Yeah, that was kind of the thing.
- 47:57Speaker 7: I was like, the funny part was when I get it,
- 47:59Speaker 7: I was like, oh, look, this is a person I know.
- 48:02Speaker 2: And then there's a.
- 48:03Speaker 7: Bunch of random YouTube people and kids from shows nobody
- 48:06Speaker 7: watches except maybe me. Holy shit, Daniel Logan.
- 48:10Speaker 2: Boba Fett. One of the Boba Fetts.
- 48:12Speaker 7: That maybe nobody's concerned with, but.
- 48:16Speaker 8: Then you'd also.
- 48:17Speaker 10: Have to get somebody that's fairly recognizable as far as
- 48:20Speaker 10: like their voice is concerned.
- 48:22Speaker 2: Well, I think it's video.
- 48:23Speaker 7: I think they like, you know, do the Skype it
- 48:27Speaker 7: kind of thing. You just get a random shout out
- 48:29Speaker 7: from them. Okay, there it is. Let's see if I
- 48:32Speaker 7: can bring up the... All right, here we go.
- 48:38Speaker 2: Oh my fucking God.
- 48:41Speaker 6: It's Theo's birthday.
- 48:42Speaker 2: Holy shit. Holy fucking shit, bro.
- 48:46Speaker 11: It's fucking Tia's birthday.
- 48:48Speaker 2: I'm so stoked.
- 48:49Speaker 6: And how much did somebody pay for this?
- 48:51Speaker 11: I wish I was celebrating your birthday with you. It
- 48:53Speaker 11: would be so much better than what I'm doing right now,
- 48:57Speaker 11: which is literally nothing. Well, nothing and getting ready for
- 49:01Speaker 11: my day at work.
- 49:04Speaker 9: Anyways, I wanted to say happy motherfucking birthday.
- 49:09Speaker 6: Gosh, she's a mess.
- 49:12Speaker 9: So, I'll be, you gotta say, like, thanks, Jolie. You're
- 49:15Speaker 9: the best, Jolie. Like, you're amazing. Because that was really,
- 49:19Speaker 9: really nice. of her, um, but yeah, I wanna say
- 49:22Speaker 9: happy birthday, and mom wanna say happy birthday, and, oh, grandpa,
- 49:29Speaker 9: say happy birthday, yeah, yeah, yeah, too, say happy birthday, too, oh,
- 49:33Speaker 9: they all wanna say happy birthday, okay, Thea, I love you,
- 49:37Speaker 9: I hope your birthday's amazing, God.
- 49:39Speaker 6: What a fucking mess. She's retarded.
- 49:45Speaker 2: Is there more people on here? She's crazy.
- 49:48Speaker 7: I think there's different categories you can go to.
- 49:52Speaker 2: Did I not call it she's a train wreck? Look
- 49:56Speaker 2: at her. She's just randomly laying on.
- 49:59Speaker 7: Her bed being a spaz. I do like that she
- 50:02Speaker 7: worked her dog into it. That was funny.
- 50:04Speaker 6: I read a book, too. Should we talk about that
- 50:06Speaker 6: for a second? Because I want to discuss... how much
- 50:08Speaker 6: I'm aggravated by, how much I liked the second book
- 50:11Speaker 6: better than I liked the other book that I read.
- 50:13Speaker 2: It's hard for me.
- 50:14Speaker 6: Fantasy football?
- 50:16Speaker 2: That's what I'm saying. Like, the levels this thing goes.
- 50:19Speaker 7: All right, I don't know that I can endorse reading.
- 50:22Speaker 2: But feel free.
- 50:23Speaker 6: Okay, I read... Give me a second. Dean Kuntz's Phantoms.
- 50:34Speaker 2: Oh, then that's like, it's the bomb in that book. Exactly.
- 50:39Speaker 6: And then, like, I was reading it. I'm like, all right,
- 50:41Speaker 6: it's about this creature older than time that lives in
- 50:44Speaker 6: the sewers and eats people and can take over their
- 50:47Speaker 6: shapes and their forms.
- 50:51Speaker 2: Wait a minute.
- 50:52Speaker 6: And yet it was written years before Stephen King's It.
- 50:56Speaker 6: And during the book, Phantoms, they also refer to the
- 50:59Speaker 6: thing in the sewers as It. And they even call
- 51:03Speaker 6: attention to the fact that they are calling it it
- 51:05Speaker 6: other than like, oh, so now we're calling it it.
- 51:07Speaker 6: That's what we're calling it now. We're calling it it.
- 51:09Speaker 7: And it's just like, So he's not even clever at
- 51:13Speaker 7: his stealing.
- 51:15Speaker 6: Because I'm pretty sure it came out before Stephen King's
- 51:20Speaker 6: It did.
- 51:20Speaker 7: Well, when you crank stuff out at the rate Stephen
- 51:23Speaker 7: King does, you don't know where you get these ideas from.
- 51:26Speaker 7: Maybe it just popped in your head one day. Maybe
- 51:29Speaker 7: you read a review of a book.
- 51:30Speaker 2: That some other dude wrote. You know, whatever.
- 51:33Speaker 6: But yet it was good. I would read Phantoms again
- 51:37Speaker 6: before I would read It because It was fucking stupid.
- 51:39Speaker 6: It was like the It's a fucking nightmare. It was just, oh,
- 51:43Speaker 6: what the fuck are we even doing? Yeah, Phantoms was
- 51:46Speaker 6: written in 83. Did I see that right?
- 51:50Speaker 14: 83.
- 51:50Speaker 6: Let's see. It was... Because I had high hopes for It.
- 52:00Speaker 6: And I was very let down. I hated that book.
- 52:04Speaker 6: It was such a torturous event. Yeah, It was first
- 52:07Speaker 6: published in 86. Mm-hmm.
- 52:10Speaker 7: Pretty sneaky, sis.
- 52:12Speaker 6: But, I mean, there are some differences. I mean, in Phantoms,
- 52:16Speaker 6: the girl has to go pick up her sister because
- 52:18Speaker 6: she now has custody of her sister. So she goes
- 52:20Speaker 6: and picks her up. When they come back to the town,
- 52:22Speaker 6: everybody's either dead or gone.
- 52:24Speaker 2: I kind of remember that.
- 52:25Speaker 7: Like, I've only watched that movie once. And I remember
- 52:27Speaker 7: there were moments that actually were kind of cool concepts.
- 52:30Speaker 2: So I guess that came from the book part.
- 52:32Speaker 7: But, yeah, I guess I should revisit the old Phantoms movie.
- 52:36Speaker 6: I do want to watch it again.
- 52:37Speaker 2: I do remember aspects of it being kind of cool.
- 52:40Speaker 6: I remember telling Boyfriend that it's back when Rose McGowan
- 52:42Speaker 6: was still kind of hot.
- 52:43Speaker 7: Well, I'm sure you can get a shout out from her.
- 52:46Speaker 2: Now if you'd like.
- 52:48Speaker 6: But yeah, after I was reading it, I'm like, wait
- 52:50Speaker 6: a minute. There's this creature in the fucking sewer. But
- 52:53Speaker 6: it didn't have the stupid shit like it. There was
- 52:55Speaker 6: no turtle.
- 52:56Speaker 2: There was no clowns.
- 52:58Speaker 7: There was no giant spiders and turtles.
- 53:01Speaker 6: There was a giant moth that could.
- 53:04Speaker 8: Mothra!
- 53:05Speaker 2: That could.
- 53:06Speaker 6: it could devour your face in seconds with its acid.
- 53:09Speaker 6: It had moth acid.
- 53:10Speaker 2: Kind of a dinosaur.
- 53:11Speaker 6: But then it could like, it could like show, it would,
- 53:15Speaker 6: it would come back. It could take forms of people
- 53:18Speaker 6: that had, you know, absorbed.
- 53:21Speaker 2: Pretty creepy.
- 53:22Speaker 6: You know? Ish. But again, it was just, I'm just
- 53:26Speaker 6: like this, but it actually kept my attention. It didn't
- 53:29Speaker 6: take me four fucking months to read. You know, it
- 53:32Speaker 6: wasn't like it, it was literally painful to read and
- 53:35Speaker 6: not because I was scared. But because I dreaded... Because
- 53:37Speaker 6: it was grueling. I dreaded picking the fucking book up.
- 53:41Speaker 6: And the thing is, I see this guy at work
- 53:42Speaker 6: on the shuttle, and he's reading his copy. And I
- 53:45Speaker 6: just want to be like, dude, no. Let me stop
- 53:46Speaker 6: you here. Let me save you.
- 53:48Speaker 7: Let me save you thousands of hours of reading.
- 53:51Speaker 6: Let me just give you a hand here. You might
- 53:53Speaker 6: want to put that down and get a real book.
- 53:55Speaker 6: You know, because that one.
- 53:57Speaker 7: Top quality literature like Dean Kooten's.
- 54:00Speaker 6: Hey, you know what? It was fucking ten times better.
- 54:03Speaker 6: I might actually read... Phantoms again before I would ever fucking,
- 54:07Speaker 6: I want to burn it. I want to set that
- 54:09Speaker 6: fucker on fire. Yeah. So that's, I read a book.
- 54:14Speaker 1: Motherfucker.
- 54:16Speaker 11: All right.
- 54:17Speaker 8: So yeah.
- 54:18Speaker 6: Now I need to watch the movie because my boyfriend
- 54:20Speaker 6: hasn't seen it. So whenever I say Phantoms, Ben Affleck
- 54:23Speaker 6: is the bomb in Phantoms, he's like, what the fuck
- 54:25Speaker 6: are you even talking about? And like every night I
- 54:27Speaker 6: pick it up, I'd be like, Ben Affleck is the
- 54:29Speaker 6: bomb in Phantoms.
- 54:30Speaker 2: You know what I hear about this next chapter? Ben
- 54:33Speaker 2: Affleck is going to be the bomb in it.
- 54:35Speaker 6: You know, but it is, and actually, like I said,
- 54:38Speaker 6: I know I've seen the movie, but it's been a
- 54:40Speaker 6: long time. And another thing, they hear voices coming up
- 54:44Speaker 6: from the sewer, like through the fucking sinks, and I'm like,
- 54:47Speaker 6: isn't that fucking, fucking King directly fucking stole that. I mean,
- 54:51Speaker 6: it's like, literally, there's so much that I'm like, yep.
- 54:56Speaker 7: There's a Georgie that gets... Yeah.
- 54:59Speaker 6: No. I mean, like I said, there's no clown, but
- 55:01Speaker 6: it's like I said, it's this thing, and it.
- 55:04Speaker 10: There's like no musicians on here that I even know
- 55:06Speaker 10: who the fuck they are.
- 55:07Speaker 7: Because you're an old man.
- 55:09Speaker 2: I'm like looking for Vanilla Ice. What the fuck's Vanilla
- 55:12Speaker 2: Ice got to do? I bet we can get him
- 55:13Speaker 2: to call you up. Dude, I would do that. Write
- 55:15Speaker 2: a check right now. I would do it for Richie.
- 55:17Speaker 2: He'll build you a deck and he'll give you a
- 55:19Speaker 2: birthday greeting. I'd like to go motocross with.
- 55:22Speaker 10: Me and him can like ride bikes.
- 55:26Speaker 1: Oh, shit.
- 55:27Speaker 6: Good times.
- 55:28Speaker 2: No musicians. Good times.
- 55:29Speaker 7: Birthday greetings.
- 55:32Speaker 6: All right.
- 55:33Speaker 7: I think that about does it this week.
- 55:34Speaker 6: Cool beans.
- 55:36Speaker 2: We will return next time. Same geek feed.
- 55:38Speaker 7: Thanks for listening.
- 55:39Speaker 9: Bye.
- 55:42Speaker 13: Bye.
- 55:44Speaker 14: Bye.
- 55:45Speaker 1: Bye.
- 56:04Speaker 6: Sitting here, see him on the highway, never.
- 56:07Speaker 2: Known that he'll appear.
- 56:08Speaker 1: All await, and he's taken over, hear the.
- 56:10Speaker 9: Roar as they sense the fear.
- 56:11Speaker 2: Heals, a good steel and a flash of light.
- 56:13Speaker 5: Screams, from.
- 56:17Speaker 2: A streak of fire as he strikes.
- 56:24Speaker 4: Hell-bent, hell-bent Paletta.
- 56:29Speaker 1: Hellbent, hellbent for leather.
- 56:31Speaker 4: Like a snipe faster than a shadow Comes a flare
- 56:37Speaker 4: from a raging sun An exhibition, ship position Yet no
- 56:42Speaker 4: one knows.
- 56:42Speaker 6: From where he comes.
- 56:44Speaker 4: Bulls, so distraught cannot take the crown Dreams, crash one
- 56:54Speaker 4: by one to the ground Hellbent, hellbent for leather.
- 56:59Speaker 7: I'll bet, I'll bet.
- 57:00Speaker 12: Forever There's many who tried to prove that they're faster
- 57:09Speaker 12: But they didn't last and they died as they tried
- 57:13Speaker 12: I'll bet, I'll bet forever How bent, how bent for leather.
- 57:49Speaker 11: How bent, how bent for leather How bent, how bent for.
- 57:55Speaker 10: Leather Yeah, it's like Larry Wilcox. He's like the only
- 58:18Speaker 10: actor I know that they have on here. Aside from
- 58:21Speaker 10: Kathy Griffin.
- 58:23Speaker 8: But I don't really want anything.
- 58:24Speaker 1: From Kathy Griffin.
- 58:24Speaker 6: I don't want anything from Kathy Griffin.
