Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: This roof has hold off Seattle.
- 0:03Speaker 2: Welcome to Seattle, Krakin Hockey on the Global Credit Union
- 0:07Speaker 2: Kraken Audio Network, Brought to you by Coor's Life, Your
- 0:11Speaker 2: Western Washington, Toyota Dealers, Veacon Plumbing, Heating and Mechanical, Virginia Mason,
- 0:16Speaker 2: Franciscan Hill, Muckleshoote Casino Resort, and by Luna and Symetra.
- 0:23Speaker 3: Exactly two weeks to the day since their last skate
- 0:27Speaker 3: under our roof, the Seattle Cracking returned home following a
- 0:31Speaker 3: marathon road trip that featured a little.
- 0:33Speaker 1: Bit of everything.
- 0:34Speaker 3: The krackt went two to two and two in their
- 0:37Speaker 3: six games away and capped it off with a statement
- 0:40Speaker 3: shutout win in Winnipeg on Thursday against a Jets team
- 0:44Speaker 3: that had won five in a row and had only
- 0:46Speaker 3: lost eight times on home ice in regulation since the
- 0:49Speaker 3: start of last season. Tonight, Seattle opens up a five
- 0:53Speaker 3: game homestand against the Edmonton Oilers, who have been the best.
- 0:57Speaker 1: In the West two years running.
- 0:59Speaker 3: Bots have gotten to a slow start out of the game.
- 1:02Speaker 1: Good evening, ladies and gentlemen.
- 1:04Speaker 3: It feels so good to welcome you back inside of
- 1:08Speaker 3: Climate Bledgerina. Here in beautiful downtown Seattle, Washington, alongside Alkiniski.
- 1:14Speaker 1: I have eward fits you. This is Seattle Crack and
- 1:16Speaker 1: Hockey on the Global Credit Union Cracking Audio Network.
- 1:19Speaker 3: You are listening to the pregame show served up by
- 1:22Speaker 3: Frostbrew Corpse Light Joe Chill Al I forgot how to
- 1:26Speaker 3: get here this morning. I took a wrong turn at
- 1:28Speaker 3: Albu Quaking and I was finally able to get back
- 1:32Speaker 3: to Climate Bledgerina two weeks ago.
- 1:34Speaker 1: Today the Crack and we're in this building against Vegas.
- 1:37Speaker 1: But tonight they welcome in the Oilers. After a very
- 1:40Speaker 1: successful road trip, Yeah two two and two on the
- 1:42Speaker 1: road trip, ending with a huge winning Winnipeg.
- 1:45Speaker 4: You know, without the Nichols, that game could have ended
- 1:47Speaker 4: one nothing, But it was all result of team buying
- 1:50Speaker 4: on the defensive structure that this team is just living
- 1:54Speaker 4: with and playing with so perfectly.
- 1:56Speaker 1: That year.
- 1:56Speaker 3: It was really about defense and structure in those six games,
- 2:00Speaker 3: and outside of two days loss in Washington, you really
- 2:04Speaker 3: can't point to a single game.
- 2:05Speaker 1: And say, man, the Kracket just didn't have it tonight.
- 2:08Speaker 3: In one area that stood out was the power play
- 2:11Speaker 3: the Kracket on that road trip four for fifteen, including
- 2:15Speaker 3: a power play goal in each of the first four
- 2:18Speaker 3: games of that trip.
- 2:18Speaker 4: Yeah, and specifically on the Winnipeg game, I talked about
- 2:21Speaker 4: a key of staining ut of the box. They gave
- 2:23Speaker 4: Winnipeg three power play opportunities and were perfect killing off
- 2:26Speaker 4: all three of them.
- 2:27Speaker 1: That was huge, obviously, Joey.
- 2:28Speaker 4: The Quartz game was huge. We talked about Stevenson in
- 2:31Speaker 4: the game and the faceoff Dodd and how he was
- 2:33Speaker 4: better than fifty percent of the night. A lot of
- 2:35Speaker 4: bright spots on that road trip. You want road trips
- 2:38Speaker 4: to build character, to build grit. I think you absolutely
- 2:41Speaker 4: got better with those six games.
- 2:42Speaker 3: On the other side of the red line, this is
- 2:44Speaker 3: an Oilers team coming off of a six to five
- 2:46Speaker 3: win over Montreal a couple of nights ago, but they're
- 2:49Speaker 3: off to a slow start this season. Now, three years
- 2:52Speaker 3: in a row, the Oilers have failed to reach the
- 2:54Speaker 3: five win plateau in their first eight games played. In fact,
- 2:59Speaker 3: six of their last ten seasons they've only reached. They've
- 3:03Speaker 3: only gotten to four wins or fewer in their first
- 3:06Speaker 3: eight games.
- 3:07Speaker 1: So if you're the cracking you'd much rather face Edmonton.
- 3:10Speaker 3: In the first month and a half of the season
- 3:12Speaker 3: as opposed to in marchor April.
- 3:13Speaker 4: Yeah, you absolutely would. That just tends to be the
- 3:16Speaker 4: case with Edmonton for some reason. They do expect to
- 3:19Speaker 4: see Skinner and net He's had success against the Kraken
- 3:22Speaker 4: over past season, so they're gonna have to find a
- 3:24Speaker 4: way to get to him early.
- 3:25Speaker 3: We're gonna get to Mike Betton momentarily, but before we do,
- 3:29Speaker 3: we want to send our condolences to Brandon Montour and
- 3:32Speaker 3: his family.
- 3:33Speaker 1: Montour has been out in the last half.
- 3:34Speaker 3: Of games, losing his brother to a battle of als,
- 3:39Speaker 3: and he is back in the lineup here tonight after
- 3:41Speaker 3: a lengthy absence.
- 3:42Speaker 1: He had a very emotional.
- 3:43Speaker 3: Press conference this morning, and of course we send our thoughts,
- 3:46Speaker 3: in our prayers and all of our well wishes to
- 3:48Speaker 3: the Monsur family.
- 3:49Speaker 1: But in talking to him this morning.
- 3:51Speaker 3: He is excited to get back on the ice with
- 3:54Speaker 3: his hockey family and hope for a little bit of
- 3:58Speaker 3: a distraction from a very hard time back at home.
- 4:01Speaker 4: Yeah, it sounds like his family really came together. And
- 4:04Speaker 4: obviously he talked about Cameron and his scrub this morning,
- 4:06Speaker 4: and you know what he meant to him, and also
- 4:09Speaker 4: this family, this cracking family here as well, and what
- 4:12Speaker 4: it meant coming back into the locker room. So we
- 4:15Speaker 4: wish the best for him and his family. And yes,
- 4:18Speaker 4: Opera fedels a.
- 4:19Speaker 1: Very strong and a very brave random monteur. Earlier this morning,
- 4:23Speaker 1: Mike Betton has got more for you.
- 4:24Speaker 3: He's standing by the course night landing section twenty What

- 7:38Speaker 12: Mike Patton again with you back for the course light
- 7:40Speaker 12: landing in section twenty for the cracking on to a
- 7:42Speaker 12: terrific start at four two and two and ten points
- 7:45Speaker 12: this opening game one of five on their homes dand
- 7:48Speaker 12: they're going to be here for quite a while. The
- 7:50Speaker 12: Oilers coming in four to three and one. They have
- 7:53Speaker 12: nine points and right now in their first back to
- 7:56Speaker 12: back games on the road. Well, without question, here the
- 8:00Speaker 12: top story for this day the welcomed edition of Brandon Montor,
- 8:04Speaker 12: but it comes with a somber mood and a somber tone.
- 8:07Speaker 12: He's back, but with a heavy heart and for many
- 8:10Speaker 12: of us with heavy hearts as well too. His brother
- 8:13Speaker 12: Cameron passing away from als earlier this week, and here's
- 8:17Speaker 12: Montour's first words about it and his emotions earlier today.
- 8:21Speaker 13: Yeah, so my older brother's been dealing with als for
- 8:28Speaker 13: three four years now, and you know it's a rough
- 8:30Speaker 13: week and you know, very proud, very happy to be
- 8:33Speaker 13: his brother, somebody that I've looked up to here since
- 8:38Speaker 13: obviously day one, and you know, a great son, brother,
- 8:45Speaker 13: best friend, father. You know, he's got two baby girls.
- 8:50Speaker 13: But you know he he battled hard. You kind of
- 8:54Speaker 13: put you know, bring into perspective with you know, all
- 8:57Speaker 13: the highs that you know, I've had in the last
- 9:00Speaker 13: couple of years with winning and you know, hockey and
- 9:04Speaker 13: having babies and creating my own family. He was at
- 9:07Speaker 13: home battling till the monday when it happened. You know,
- 9:12Speaker 13: he was smiling and he was ready. So again, proud
- 9:17Speaker 13: of him. You know, the families having a tough go.
- 9:21Speaker 13: Obviously you lose one so close, but to have everyone
- 9:24Speaker 13: together and you know for the week was good. And
- 9:29Speaker 13: being back here in Seattle and seeing my kids and
- 9:32Speaker 13: being a part of this again, you know, keep my
- 9:34Speaker 13: mind off you know, other things which would be good,
- 9:37Speaker 13: but miss them. And again he's probably smiling and chirping
- 9:42Speaker 13: me up there, you know for crying, but love them.
- 9:46Speaker 13: And that was a tough week.
- 9:48Speaker 12: Cameron is certainly an inspiration Montor missed the last four
- 9:51Speaker 12: games on the trip to be with family, and he said,
- 9:54Speaker 12: being back now with teammates, hare's plenty of meaning.
- 9:57Speaker 13: Yeah, it's good. It's uh, I get it keeps my mind,
- 10:01Speaker 13: you know, away from other things. And you know, again,
- 10:04Speaker 13: you just look back at I've only practiced, you know,
- 10:09Speaker 13: once or twice all year and missed a lot. So
- 10:13Speaker 13: try to get back into it as quick as I can,
- 10:15Speaker 13: and you know, focus on you know, I've been watching
- 10:18Speaker 13: from afar and happy with how the guys are playing.
- 10:20Speaker 13: So it's just kind of had what I bring on
- 10:23Speaker 13: the ice and off the ice and keep plugging away.
- 10:27Speaker 12: So this is not just a hockey story, but it
- 10:29Speaker 12: is also a live story. And you can bet the
- 10:31Speaker 12: roars of the crowd will be extra loud for Brandon
- 10:34Speaker 12: Montur here this evening. So he's back with the Crack
- 10:37Speaker 12: and facing Edmonton in the first of four matchups, and
- 10:40Speaker 12: the Crack and looking to go three and oh to
- 10:42Speaker 12: start the season at home, but looking for just their
- 10:45Speaker 12: third win and nine tries against Edmonton all time here
- 10:49Speaker 12: in Seattle. The Kraken looking for just fourth win also
- 10:53Speaker 12: in sixteen games against Edmonton, but they won the last
- 10:55Speaker 12: matchup six to one last year back in March twenty seventh. However,
- 10:59Speaker 12: that game did not include the likes of Conor McDavid
- 11:02Speaker 12: and Leon dry Sidle and will certainly talk about the
- 11:04Speaker 12: effect that they can have here on this Edmonton lineup
- 11:07Speaker 12: later on. So this being the first of five games
- 11:10Speaker 12: at home the Crack and then after this one facing Montreal,
- 11:13Speaker 12: the Rangers, Chicago and San Jose and trying to build
- 11:16Speaker 12: off a successful two to two and two trip where
- 11:19Speaker 12: they dealt with plenty of injuries in their last game
- 11:21Speaker 12: of three nothing win over Winnipeg when Joey Decord had
- 11:24Speaker 12: a thirty two save shutouts. Your cracking story lines first
- 11:28Speaker 12: up again with getting Montor back into the lineup. As
- 11:30Speaker 12: far as on ice matters, he has points in three
- 11:33Speaker 12: of his first four games played. He'll go back to
- 11:35Speaker 12: his usual pairing with Ryan Lindgren, and he also got
- 11:38Speaker 12: looks this morning back at morning Skate on the second
- 11:41Speaker 12: power play units, so you can bet there is certainly
- 11:44Speaker 12: an emotional component of this game which carries a ton
- 11:47Speaker 12: of weight with him now being back in the lineup. Secondly,
- 11:50Speaker 12: it is the special team's battle of this one, the
- 11:53Speaker 12: Crack and pedaling kill against Winnipeg in that win was
- 11:55Speaker 12: spectacular three of three and it was their first clean
- 11:58Speaker 12: sheet in a game since they blank Montreal back on
- 12:02Speaker 12: October fourteenth. But as far as this game, the crack
- 12:05Speaker 12: and know they have to stay out of the box
- 12:07Speaker 12: right now, So far, so good. They have the third
- 12:10Speaker 12: fewest of time on ice for a PK in the NHL.
- 12:14Speaker 12: Ed Minton though is six in the NHL on the
- 12:16Speaker 12: power play, and they have been very very productive all
- 12:19Speaker 12: time at a twenty seven percent clip. Here's Ben's done
- 12:23Speaker 12: with more on this battle where it could certainly make
- 12:26Speaker 12: a big impact.
- 12:27Speaker 14: Special teams are huge always against these guys, usually a
- 12:31Speaker 14: lot of power plays both ways. But I think the
- 12:34Speaker 14: neutral zone game is going to be biggest for us.
- 12:36Speaker 14: Is controlling their speed and making sure that our puck
- 12:39Speaker 14: possession play and where we're entering the zone and how
- 12:42Speaker 14: we're entering the zone is strategic. I think keeping the
- 12:46Speaker 14: puck away from them is what you want to do
- 12:48Speaker 14: most of the game, So just trying to sustain pressure
- 12:50Speaker 14: and making sure that we're all connected through three zones.
- 12:53Speaker 12: And a big part of that dynamic is also Jayden Schwartz.
- 12:56Speaker 12: He's our third story line. Here for this one. He
- 12:58Speaker 12: is out to a tremendous start eight points in eight
- 13:01Speaker 12: games and that right now leads the Kraken in scoring.
- 13:04Speaker 12: And he has found a way to be productive in
- 13:06Speaker 12: his career throughout his career against Edmonton, leading the Kraken
- 13:10Speaker 12: with thirty eight points in thirty five all time games
- 13:14Speaker 12: against the Oilers. He'll be back to play tonight with
- 13:17Speaker 12: Shane Wright and Yannie Newman as his linemates, and he
- 13:20Speaker 12: owns goals in back to back games. Injury update mccracking
- 13:24Speaker 12: getting Capocaco potentially back sooner. He was upgraded here today
- 13:27Speaker 12: today by Lane Lambert earlier and maybe he said next
- 13:30Speaker 12: week could be telling about him being back soon. In
- 13:33Speaker 12: the lineup, Ryker Evans, Freddie goodrou Jared McCann as well
- 13:37Speaker 12: mccamban day to day. They're also on IR Joey de
- 13:40Speaker 12: coord start Sidnette who he faces. We'll come back and
- 13:43Speaker 12: talk about it with more after this and a chat
- 13:46Speaker 12: about the Edmonton Oilers. And you're listening to the Global
- 13:49Speaker 12: Credit Union Cracking Audio Network.

- 16:47Speaker 12: ten games on the road, but they stumbled a bit
- 16:50Speaker 12: five game road trip, going two and three, scoring just
- 16:53Speaker 12: nine goals combined, but found a way to bounce back
- 16:56Speaker 12: offensively last game six to five win over Montreal, including
- 17:00Speaker 12: a two goal comeback when they trailed by two and
- 17:02Speaker 12: Vasilli Podcoles and had the game winner with one oh
- 17:05Speaker 12: nine to play in regulation. Edmonton storylines, of course, begin
- 17:09Speaker 12: with how can the Cracking contain Connor McDavid and Leon
- 17:14Speaker 12: Dry's title. They can be a handful against the Kraken
- 17:17Speaker 12: lifetime Dry title twenty six points in twelve games, most
- 17:21Speaker 12: point per game, by the way for him versus any
- 17:24Speaker 12: team in the NHL and mad David against the krack
- 17:27Speaker 12: in nineteen points in thirteen games, but curiously this year
- 17:31Speaker 12: this one goal in just eight games, most of his
- 17:34Speaker 12: points coming via assists. He's got eleven in ain't so far,
- 17:38Speaker 12: but those two lead all Edmonton Ford's in time on
- 17:41Speaker 12: ice against the krackt and so the Cracking had to
- 17:43Speaker 12: be aware defensively each and every shift. Secondly, the Oilers
- 17:47Speaker 12: power play last game two for five against Montreal, but
- 17:50Speaker 12: against the Kraken they have gone twelve for forty four
- 17:53Speaker 12: but three of the last five meetings. Keep this in mind,
- 17:56Speaker 12: the Krack and doing much better with staying out of
- 17:58Speaker 12: the box. They have failed thatnton and just two powerplay
- 18:01Speaker 12: chances or less Oilers, by the way gotten all goals
- 18:04Speaker 12: out of that. So more from Edmonton. And here's head
- 18:08Speaker 12: coach Chris non Block, who has split up Connor McDavid
- 18:11Speaker 12: and Leon dry Settle separately. So you have three lines
- 18:14Speaker 12: of McDavid, Dry Title and Ryan NuGen Hopkins as there's centers.
- 18:18Speaker 12: The non Blocks said, and that's their idea of formula
- 18:20Speaker 12: here for tonight.
- 18:21Speaker 18: Yes, tonight, that's what we're doing. And you know, obviously
- 18:25Speaker 18: all three of them are very good centermen and it
- 18:29Speaker 18: gives us a strength now to do that. We need
- 18:33Speaker 18: other guys to step up and be able to play
- 18:35Speaker 18: some pretty significant roles. And you know, some young guys
- 18:39Speaker 18: moving up in our top six who have been playing
- 18:42Speaker 18: really well and hopefully they can continue.
- 18:44Speaker 12: It's gonna be Stewart Skinner Annette. He's two to two
- 18:47Speaker 12: and one in five games for Edmonton this season, So
- 18:50Speaker 12: how do the crack impose a challenge for him and
- 18:53Speaker 12: the Oilers?
- 18:53Speaker 1: Ever?

- 20:55Speaker 12: This is Jordan Eblie. If you're listening to Seattle Crack
- 20:57Speaker 12: and Hockey on the Crack and Audio Network.
- 21:00Speaker 3: We're back inside of Climbing Pledge Arena Cracking and Oilers
- 21:03Speaker 3: the first of four meetings on the season Crack in
- 21:05Speaker 3: the first of five in a row at home following
- 21:08Speaker 3: a successful too and two road trip out east. Ever
- 21:12Speaker 3: fits you Alconiski alongside Al It's been a while but
- 21:15Speaker 3: the Kraken would love to string back to back wins together.
- 21:18Speaker 3: Following a three nothing shutouts in Winter Peg on Thursday,
- 21:23Speaker 3: how can they get it done here today?
- 21:25Speaker 4: Well, I'm gonna start with the easy one. Clamp down
- 21:27Speaker 4: on McDavid and Dryside. You don't say you don't stop
- 21:30Speaker 4: McDavid and dry so you just need to contain them
- 21:33Speaker 4: the krack. You need discipline, gaps, active sticks and no
- 21:36Speaker 4: freebies through the middle. Make those two earn every inch
- 21:39Speaker 4: and you take away half of events. Inspire power. Secondly,
- 21:43Speaker 4: attack the blue paint. Stuart Skinner has been shaky when
- 21:46Speaker 4: traffic piles up in front of him. Seattle's forwards need
- 21:49Speaker 4: to crash the crease, banging rebounds and make life miserable
- 21:52Speaker 4: for the Oilers defense. Ugly goals count the same as
- 21:55Speaker 4: highlight real ones. And then third, stay out of the box.
- 22:00Speaker 4: I copied that one from last game. The Oilers power
- 22:03Speaker 4: pulay can turn a tight game into a track meet.
- 22:06Speaker 4: Fast Keeping penalties to a minimum and maintaining structure on
- 22:09Speaker 4: clears will be critical. Five one five the crack and
- 22:11Speaker 4: have the depth advantage They got to use it. Summary,
- 22:15Speaker 4: I would say, in short, don't let David run the
- 22:18Speaker 4: run wild, make Skinner's night a nightmare, and for the
- 22:20Speaker 4: love of all things tentacled to stay out of the box.
- 22:23Speaker 4: The Cracker need to be sharks, not sardines in this one.
- 22:26Speaker 4: Keep the water, chopping the ford check, relentless that if
- 22:28Speaker 4: they play their game, they might just send the Oilers
- 22:30Speaker 4: home looking for a life.
- 22:32Speaker 3: Raft Well, and listen, you're trying to build off of
- 22:36Speaker 3: a three to nothing win in Winnipeg. And Mike Benton,
- 22:41Speaker 3: our very own Mike Benton had the best question of
- 22:44Speaker 3: the press conference this morning, essentially asking Lane Lambert, how
- 22:48Speaker 3: do you find the balance between being physical and disciplined
- 22:54Speaker 3: but also being too excited and undisciplined.
- 22:57Speaker 1: This has been a very physical.
- 22:58Speaker 3: Style of play of the Crack and have had the
- 23:01Speaker 3: first handful of games and you want to try and
- 23:03Speaker 3: keep that in check but yet be effective still.
- 23:06Speaker 4: Tonight, Yeah, you absolutely do. And you know some would say, well,
- 23:09Speaker 4: you got to pick your spots. That's hard to do
- 23:10Speaker 4: in the game of hockey. Yeah, you're either playing physical
- 23:13Speaker 4: or or not. You know, it's gotta be something that
- 23:16Speaker 4: the guy's embraced. The game doesn't get any easier just
- 23:19Speaker 4: because you're back at Climate Pledgermina. It's more fun because
- 23:21Speaker 4: you get your crowd behind, but the game on the
- 23:24Speaker 4: ice isn't any easier and you've got to come at
- 23:26Speaker 4: it that way.
- 23:26Speaker 3: Brandon Montour back in the lineup today after four games
- 23:30Speaker 3: after a personal leave, and we find that we found
- 23:33Speaker 3: out this morning his brother camp passing away after a
- 23:36Speaker 3: battle with als and his older brother, and he talks
- 23:39Speaker 3: so much about how much of a hero he was,
- 23:42Speaker 3: and he was smiling up to the end, and he
- 23:44Speaker 3: even joked that he's probably chirping me right now for
- 23:47Speaker 3: crying talking about him.
- 23:48Speaker 1: But obviously your family is what comes first.
- 23:52Speaker 3: But even Montour saying it feels good to be back
- 23:55Speaker 3: around his hockey family, and while keeping the personal side
- 23:59Speaker 3: in perspective, it's still going to be good to have them.
- 24:01Speaker 1: Back in the line up.
- 24:02Speaker 4: Yeah, And I think personally, I mean, everybody deals with
- 24:04Speaker 4: lost differently and certainly stressful situations, but sometimes getting back
- 24:09Speaker 4: to something you're used to, which is being around the
- 24:12Speaker 4: game of hockey, being with the guys in the locker
- 24:14Speaker 4: room and contributing with a team that's been.
- 24:17Speaker 1: Playing really well. I think he's eager to do that.
- 24:19Speaker 4: He's got four assists on the four goals he's played
- 24:21Speaker 4: so far, he's plus three. He's in a great spot
- 24:24Speaker 4: to pick pick up, pick up from there. I'm looking
- 24:26Speaker 4: forward to seeing what he brings tonight.
- 24:27Speaker 1: And real quick.
- 24:28Speaker 3: Sticking with personnel matters, you look at Shane Wright, you
- 24:31Speaker 3: look at Jaydon Schwartz. They had two exceptional road trips
- 24:35Speaker 3: along with Chandler Stevenson as well. Those three players I
- 24:39Speaker 3: think have been really the offensive leaders, the catalyst stiff
- 24:43Speaker 3: you will these last handful of games.
- 24:45Speaker 1: So why the cracking are where they are? Yeah? I
- 24:47Speaker 1: love Jayden Schwartz's game. He was involved in all three
- 24:49Speaker 1: goals in.
- 24:50Speaker 4: Winnipeg, and then Chandler Stevenson fifteen wins on twenty eight
- 24:53Speaker 4: faceoffs in that game. He's done that more time than
- 24:57Speaker 4: all the other centerman combined on the crack And so
- 24:59Speaker 4: he is. You're number one center right now.
- 25:01Speaker 1: And he's playing that way. You know who's our number
- 25:03Speaker 1: one center? You know whose game I love? So, oh yeah,
- 25:06Speaker 1: we're wingers. This guy's the centerman. Mike Benton.

- 27:50Speaker 12: standing by with ever refits you.
- 27:52Speaker 21: We're back with Cracking head coach Lane Lamberton. We heard
- 27:55Speaker 21: from Brandon Montor this morning. It was a very hard
- 27:58Speaker 21: week for him after the loss of his brother. What's
- 28:00Speaker 21: going to be the important piece that you want to
- 28:03Speaker 21: drive home not only welcoming him back, but the role
- 28:06Speaker 21: that his teammates can help him and you know, offering
- 28:10Speaker 21: a distraction, as he said this.
- 28:11Speaker 22: Morning, Well, that's just it, you know. I mean for
- 28:14Speaker 22: anyone who's suffered loss, you know, there's a certainly a
- 28:19Speaker 22: process that you have to go through and sometimes it's
- 28:21Speaker 22: good to.
- 28:23Speaker 20: Get back to.
- 28:25Speaker 22: I guess life is normal, you know, and I know
- 28:30Speaker 22: that's you know, it's not gonna be or it isn't,
- 28:33Speaker 22: but certainly there's a there's a help in being able
- 28:39Speaker 22: to do that and get your mind on the game
- 28:42Speaker 22: and maybe take it away from a little bit of
- 28:45Speaker 22: you know what you're feeling in terms of off the ice,
- 28:50Speaker 22: you know, a little bit of help from that standpoint,
- 28:52Speaker 22: and certainly his teammates and him being around his teammates there,
- 28:55Speaker 22: they've been super supportive and we're just here for him.
- 29:00Speaker 21: No matter what. Six different games, two, two and two overall.
- 29:03Speaker 21: Just take us through your thoughts on the longest road
- 29:06Speaker 21: trip of the season for the Kracking.
- 29:08Speaker 22: Well, I'm glad it's over. In terms of the longest,
- 29:11Speaker 22: it was quite lengthy, there's no question about it. It
- 29:13Speaker 22: felt like we were gone for quite a while. And
- 29:18Speaker 22: you know, I thought, we thought we had a lot
- 29:21Speaker 22: of good lessons that we.
- 29:22Speaker 21: Learned on the trip.
- 29:23Speaker 22: Like you say, there was different games, different ways. You know,
- 29:26Speaker 22: a few overtime games, some losses, some wins, a game
- 29:31Speaker 22: we didn't like at all, and you know, why did
- 29:36Speaker 22: we play that type of a game? So these are
- 29:39Speaker 22: really good lessons for us to learn. Give our guys
- 29:42Speaker 22: full credit, they responded, after playing that why type of
- 29:47Speaker 22: game we played and played the way we should play
- 29:50Speaker 22: in Winnipeg. So really good opportunity to grow as a group.
- 29:56Speaker 22: And I thought, I thought we did that. Now we're
- 29:59Speaker 22: home and we have to continue going.
- 30:02Speaker 12: Here so the crack can try to build off that
- 30:05Speaker 12: road trip returning home again Edmonton, Naslane, Lambert and more
