- 0:08Speaker 1: Advice, naughty night show. I'm used to Rob Shooter and
- 0:18Speaker 1: it's Thursday, year, which means our dear friend Mark Lupo
- 0:21Speaker 1: joins us, luby, are you there where else would I
- 0:25Speaker 1: be on a Thursday? Hello? You never know. I'm always
- 0:29Speaker 1: surprised that we pull this off. I know now I've
- 0:32Speaker 1: been doing it for a year or so, and I love,
- 0:35Speaker 1: love doing it. I think I can say that we're
- 0:38Speaker 1: great at the gossip. We're not the best that the technology. Mark.
- 0:42Speaker 1: I will say over the past two years, there's been many,
- 0:45Speaker 1: many stressful moments when it comes to technology, but the
- 0:48Speaker 1: tea is always hot hot. We can do this. I
- 0:52Speaker 1: have no doubt that all of us can talk about
- 0:54Speaker 1: gossip for hours and hours and hours. In fact, our
- 0:56Speaker 1: biggest problem is getting it all into twenty minutes. But
- 1:00Speaker 1: when it comes to hit and record, Mark, I'm never
- 1:04Speaker 1: totally confident. So here we are. Thankfully it is working again.
- 1:08Speaker 1: Thank the Lord. Hey, let's jump in the show. We've
- 1:10Speaker 1: got so much Gussie have to get to What time
- 1:13Speaker 1: is it, my friends? It is time. This Ben Affleck
- 1:17Speaker 1: story is blowing up. So Ben made some comments about
- 1:21Speaker 1: Jennifer Gardner and now he's receiving some backlash. So Ben
- 1:27Speaker 1: went on The Howard Stern Show and talks about his
- 1:31Speaker 1: issues with alcoholism, saying that he probably shouldn't have been
- 1:36Speaker 1: drinking when he was married, which I think is a
- 1:38Speaker 1: very good point, But he went on from there to
- 1:42Speaker 1: make more remarks. Let me give you those remarks. Quote.
- 1:45Speaker 1: Part of why I was drinking was because I was trapped.
- 1:50Speaker 1: Trapped in his marriage, is what he's saying. I was like,
- 1:54Speaker 1: I couldn't leave because of my kids, but I'm not happy.
- 1:58Speaker 1: What do I do? And what I did was I
- 2:02Speaker 1: drank a bottle of Scotch and fell asleep on the couch,
- 2:06Speaker 1: which turned out not to be the solution. That many
- 2:10Speaker 1: fans are outraged by this. It seems like he's blaming
- 2:15Speaker 1: his ex wife for his drinking problems. One person said
- 2:20Speaker 1: Jennifer Garner helped put him into rehab three years after
- 2:25Speaker 1: they already separated. Another person wrote, Jennifer Garner did not
- 2:30Speaker 1: drive you to drink. She drove you to rehab. What
- 2:34Speaker 1: comments are saying this is an effing low blow about
- 2:38Speaker 1: your relationship and the mother of your children. And another
- 2:41Speaker 1: person pointed out that trying to blame somebody else for
- 2:44Speaker 1: your drinking is not a good idea. What do you
- 2:47Speaker 1: think about all this market's blowing up? Rob, I am
- 2:50Speaker 1: so disgusted by this whole story. Right, she is the
- 2:53Speaker 1: mother of his three kids. But also, let's not forget
- 2:56Speaker 1: she was the one who drove him through a swarm
- 2:59Speaker 1: up o parati to get Jack in the box on
- 3:02Speaker 1: the way to rehab. Like, that is your that is
- 3:04Speaker 1: your writer, die right, how did you do that? What
- 3:07Speaker 1: is your problem? How could you do that? Now, he
- 3:09Speaker 1: is responding, he went on Jimmy Kimmel last night and
- 3:12Speaker 1: he said that it is not true. He said he
- 3:15Speaker 1: saw the websites, which he calls click bait, and he said,
- 3:20Speaker 1: I looked at it, and they literally have taken a
- 3:23Speaker 1: conversation that I had for two hours and made it
- 3:26Speaker 1: seem like I said the exact opposite. He added, I
- 3:30Speaker 1: would never say a bad word about my kids. MoMA.
- 3:35Speaker 1: I listened to the conversation. He said it, he said it.
- 3:40Speaker 1: We can't afford to play the clips on this show,
- 3:43Speaker 1: but we can tell you what he said. He said it.
- 3:46Speaker 1: He said it, And this is what makes me laugh
- 3:47Speaker 1: about celebrities sometimes when they don't like what the reporters
- 3:51Speaker 1: or the writers, right, they blame the media and what
- 3:54Speaker 1: for what they've said. And it's like, take responsibility and
- 3:57Speaker 1: you said it, you made a mistake. There's backlash. Now
- 3:59Speaker 1: you have to own it absolutely. Now, if a source
- 4:02Speaker 1: had said this, if this was a sourced story, then
- 4:05Speaker 1: apparently felt trapped in his marriage, and sources tell us
- 4:08Speaker 1: that he didn't, then I can get it. Fight back.
- 4:12Speaker 1: You said this, you're on tape saying it. And now
- 4:18Speaker 1: instead of saying, I really messed up. I shouldn't have
- 4:21Speaker 1: said that. I didn't mean that, he said I didn't
- 4:23Speaker 1: say it. I always think in life here, you don't
- 4:26Speaker 1: have to be a celebrator to follow this advice. If
- 4:29Speaker 1: you say something dumb, and we all do, Goodness knows things,
- 4:35Speaker 1: you say sorry, you say that's how you get out
- 4:39Speaker 1: of a really bad situation. That's how you turn the corner,
- 4:42Speaker 1: that's how you end the chapter. If you keep fighting this,
- 4:46Speaker 1: it's going to keep going. Answer now today, because of
- 4:49Speaker 1: what Ben said last night on TV, it's going to
- 4:52Speaker 1: be another day of stories. Already Paid six are reporting
- 4:56Speaker 1: Jaylo's reaction, which apparently she's living. I would be too.
- 5:00Speaker 1: I don't want to be dragged into this I'm trying
- 5:02Speaker 1: to make friends with your kids. I want us all
- 5:04Speaker 1: to blend our families together. I don't want Jennifer Garner
- 5:07Speaker 1: to hate me if I'm going to be coming your
- 5:09Speaker 1: next wife. And so suddenly this becomes much bigger than
- 5:13Speaker 1: just Ben and Jennifer Gardner, which brings us to our
- 5:16Speaker 1: pome question of the day. Ben Affleck said he probably
- 5:21Speaker 1: would still be drinking if he hadn't separated from Jennifer. God,
- 5:27Speaker 1: what does he owe her an apology? I think I
- 5:32Speaker 1: know the answer to this. Hey, go vote on actually
- 5:34Speaker 1: a page and naughty nicer armor and Facebook page is
- 5:36Speaker 1: naughty gossip. You can leave a comment there and be
- 5:39Speaker 1: sure to check back to borow to hear your results. LUPI,
- 5:43Speaker 1: what are you working on? Bethany? Bethany, Bethany one another one?
- 5:49Speaker 1: So Bethany. Franklos added again. This time she's claiming she
- 5:53Speaker 1: didn't want to prenup with her ex. Okay, let me
- 5:57Speaker 1: let me break this down for you. So Bethany said,
- 5:59Speaker 1: the thought of going into a pre nuptial agreement before
- 6:02Speaker 1: saying I do was quote unquote embarrassing. So Bethany said,
- 6:07Speaker 1: quote I ended up marrying someone who was just a
- 6:10Speaker 1: regular person who seemed like they could handle all of
- 6:13Speaker 1: what was going on with me and being in reality
- 6:15Speaker 1: television fair enough. But then she went on to say,
- 6:18Speaker 1: and I sort of was proud of myself for marrying
- 6:21Speaker 1: someone who had a simple life and someone who and
- 6:24Speaker 1: someone who would handle all of what was going on
- 6:26Speaker 1: with me. And they didn't come for much. They would
- 6:29Speaker 1: never want anything from me, okay, Bethany, So you know,
- 6:34Speaker 1: she went on to say that she found the idea
- 6:36Speaker 1: of a prenup to be an uncomfortable, awkward concept, but
- 6:40Speaker 1: rob and true Bethany fashion. In two thousand and sixteen,
- 6:44Speaker 1: an attorney for Frankel told People magazine that the two
- 6:48Speaker 1: in fact, did have a pre nuptial agreement. Where do
- 6:51Speaker 1: you stand on this? So this is all just canting taboo.
- 6:54Speaker 1: This is just Bethany talking for the second talking. She
- 6:58Speaker 1: didn't want to put up, but she did get a prenup.
- 7:01Speaker 1: A story here. You got a prenup, but you didn't
- 7:04Speaker 1: want one, Bethany, because it was embarrassing and he was
- 7:07Speaker 1: such a simple little boy. He wasn't gonna ever take
- 7:10Speaker 1: anything from you. Get it. You've got a breed up.
- 7:13Speaker 1: It's such a crazy thing for somebody who got an
- 7:17Speaker 1: iron clad prenup. Let's be clear about she has a
- 7:20Speaker 1: pre nup, she executed the prenup. She had a very
- 7:25Speaker 1: ugly divorce, but she did have a pup. For somebody
- 7:28Speaker 1: who had a preedup, it's really easy to say, well,
- 7:30Speaker 1: I didn't really want one. I mean, she's a multi millionaire,
- 7:35Speaker 1: like she's a businesswoman. Why would that be uncomfortable or awkward?
- 7:39Speaker 1: These are things I think a sign. This is a
- 7:41Speaker 1: sign if you're able to negotiate a prenup or even discussed,
- 7:44Speaker 1: it's a sign of emotional intelligence. It's a sign of
- 7:47Speaker 1: confidence that you you know you're going Marriage is a
- 7:50Speaker 1: is a contract in a lot of ways. You know, Robb,
- 7:53Speaker 1: you been married for twenty years. I'm sure you you
- 7:55Speaker 1: understand how it goes. It's not easy. I don't have you.
- 8:03Speaker 1: Bruce said I would have signed on if he had asked,
- 8:09Speaker 1: I would have signed asked. Literally, this sounds terrible. But
- 8:13Speaker 1: the week of the wedding, I was like, I'm gonna
- 8:15Speaker 1: get some paperwork, like I'm gone on Saturday, and like
- 8:21Speaker 1: on Wednesday I was like, oh I might have got
- 8:22Speaker 1: away with me. Thursday I was like this looks really good, distracted, distracted,
- 8:27Speaker 1: lots of kisses, lots of kisses, lots of kisses. Friday
- 8:30Speaker 1: I was like, oh, well what he never never asked,
- 8:33Speaker 1: never asked. I know, but Bruce wouldn't want it both ways.
- 8:37Speaker 1: And that's what drives me crazy about Bethany. Frank Will,
- 8:39Speaker 1: I think people that listen to this podcast, no, I
- 8:41Speaker 1: have a long history of Bethany. I knew her before
- 8:44Speaker 1: she was famous. Beth he wants it both ways. Bethany
- 8:47Speaker 1: wants us to think she's a brilliant wizard. I'm a businesswoman,
- 8:51Speaker 1: but also a really really kind, really really sweet. Bethany
- 8:56Speaker 1: is a tough girl, and I think, Bethany, when you
- 8:59Speaker 1: leading to that, I respect you more. Just be honest.
- 9:02Speaker 1: There is no way you were marrying anybody without a prenum.
- 9:06Speaker 1: In fact, I'm surprised when your daughter wasn't born, that
- 9:09Speaker 1: she wasn't made to sign something. He doesn't share her
- 9:17Speaker 1: money spotlights. It's the Bethany Show. I sort of love
- 9:23Speaker 1: her saying this, and yes, we're doing the story she
- 9:25Speaker 1: said on her podcast, So go listen to her podcast
- 9:28Speaker 1: once again. I think Bethany's just being a wizard at
- 9:31Speaker 1: PR she's great at getting attention. Hey, moving along, this
- 9:34Speaker 1: story made me sad. Telly Clarkson said she might be
- 9:37Speaker 1: single forever. She has trouble seeing red flags, so she's
- 9:43Speaker 1: always that person who doesn't really ever see what's going
- 9:48Speaker 1: on in a relationship. She doesn't really see the red flags.
- 9:51Speaker 1: And then Andy Cohen, who she was talking to, he
- 9:54Speaker 1: said he has a habit of just cutting and running
- 9:57Speaker 1: the second he sees her red flag. So it's tricky
- 10:00Speaker 1: see red flags. What do you do? You ignore them
- 10:02Speaker 1: or do you run? Or is he somewhere in the middle.
- 10:04Speaker 1: I think it's somewhere in the middle. And then she
- 10:06Speaker 1: Kelly said. Kelly said, I don't know if I'd ever
- 10:10Speaker 1: be willing to invest in evening with someone yet. So
- 10:12Speaker 1: Andy said he loves to go on a cocktail date,
- 10:15Speaker 1: and Kelly was like, I'm more of a coffee date
- 10:17Speaker 1: because I don't want to invest evening. There's so much
- 10:21Speaker 1: to this story that just I love Mark as somebody
- 10:24Speaker 1: that he's single, but dating, do you see the red flags? Oh? Yeah,
- 10:29Speaker 1: the red flags are always I think in the first
- 10:31Speaker 1: or second date are very clear and apparent. I'm lucky
- 10:34Speaker 1: that I'm not famous and I'm not worried about the
- 10:36Speaker 1: intention of them trying to get something from me, Like
- 10:39Speaker 1: Kelly might be wondering, but well, that's that's true. That
- 10:44Speaker 1: is true. That is it might be. Yes, people do listen,
- 10:47Speaker 1: many many, many people do listen. No, but Kelly is
- 10:50Speaker 1: that Kelly is such a sweet person. Yeah, she's a superstar.
- 10:53Speaker 1: She's very sweet. I've met her before and she's lovely
- 10:55Speaker 1: and I, you know, I think I have hope for her.
- 10:58Speaker 1: This is not the like when you see the red
- 11:01Speaker 1: flags mark, do you ignore them? So you said you
- 11:04Speaker 1: do see them, but what do you do when you
- 11:06Speaker 1: see a red flag? Um? I either ghost them, which
- 11:10Speaker 1: is not the way, or you know, I just let
- 11:12Speaker 1: them know, like hey, you know, in my later years,
- 11:15Speaker 1: my older years, I've become more of like, hey, thanks
- 11:17Speaker 1: for that, thanks for meeting I see as more as
- 11:20Speaker 1: friends like take care and that's it, and it just
- 11:22Speaker 1: it ends it and there's there's no more to say. Yeah,
- 11:25Speaker 1: I try to be kind. I haven't dated for a
- 11:27Speaker 1: very long time. I've been with Bruce, but I try
- 11:29Speaker 1: to be kind even with friends. Like a lot of
- 11:31Speaker 1: people want to become my friend and it's flattering, except
- 11:35Speaker 1: when they meet me. I'm probably a bit boring but
- 11:37Speaker 1: much more interesting. And I know right away if I
- 11:41Speaker 1: really want to be friends with you. But I do
- 11:43Speaker 1: like this conversation too, about do you have a drink
- 11:46Speaker 1: or a coffee? Now, I like to drink, so I
- 11:49Speaker 1: like a bottle of you. No, but I make it
- 11:51Speaker 1: very clear. I'm only available from seven to eight. So
- 11:55Speaker 1: if I'm going to meet you, like if you want
- 11:56Speaker 1: to meet me for a drink tonight and I don't
- 11:59Speaker 1: really know you are, like, I'd love to meet you,
- 12:01Speaker 1: let's meet at seven, but I have at eight o'clock dinner.
- 12:04Speaker 1: I'll tell you ahead of time. Then then it sort
- 12:06Speaker 1: of restricts it. And then if I'm having a fabulous time,
- 12:10Speaker 1: the dinner that I was not really going to, yeah,
- 12:12Speaker 1: I pretend was canceled. You canceled it. Look, I just
- 12:16Speaker 1: got a text, But dinner is canceled. My dinner is canceled.
- 12:19Speaker 1: We can stay here a little longer if I'm not
- 12:23Speaker 1: having such a good time. All my friends are at
- 12:25Speaker 1: the restaurant early, gotta go. How do you limit your
- 12:30Speaker 1: exposure on a first date to a first meeting? I
- 12:33Speaker 1: love how calculated you are too. I respected so much.
- 12:39Speaker 1: Um you know, for me, I will give me a
- 12:43Speaker 1: few hours. I'm always down for I prefer drinks over coffee.
- 12:46Speaker 1: It's just easier to get to social lubricane. You can
- 12:48Speaker 1: have fun and if it's not going well, then you
- 12:51Speaker 1: just get out leave after a few drinks, were like,
- 12:53Speaker 1: all right, I have to go to bed or whatever
- 12:55Speaker 1: it is. Um, But coffee, that's like the second or
- 12:57Speaker 1: third date when you're like when you know each other
- 12:59Speaker 1: a bit more and there's more comfort there, you know. Yeah,
- 13:02Speaker 1: I'm with you, but I'm not with Kelly on this one.
- 13:04Speaker 1: I'd rather start with a bit of alcohol, thank you.
- 13:07Speaker 1: But I'll see you without the alcohol for a coffee. Hey,
- 13:10Speaker 1: what's going on with Krisnoffi's finally explaining the big question
- 13:14Speaker 1: why Carrie Bradshaw and not call nine one one? Yeah,
- 13:18Speaker 1: And what a question that is. So he told our
- 13:21Speaker 1: friends at Vogue that quote, it was a very important
- 13:25Speaker 1: for both of us to find a way to have
- 13:27Speaker 1: that last moment together, not that she walks in and
- 13:30Speaker 1: finds me dead in the bathroom. He went on to
- 13:33Speaker 1: say that the plot twist was something that he thought
- 13:36Speaker 1: about for a long time with the creator Michael Patrick
- 13:38Speaker 1: King before he agreed to do the show. He said,
- 13:41Speaker 1: Michael and I agreed on it. We both called it
- 13:43Speaker 1: the Bonnie and Clyde moment, which is the moment where
- 13:46Speaker 1: Bonnie and Clyde are about to be eviscerated by bullets.
- 13:49Speaker 1: They have that look at each other. We're Warren Beatty
- 13:52Speaker 1: and Fade done away. They both know it's the end.
- 13:55Speaker 1: I know. And Rob he also said that we knew
- 13:59Speaker 1: we had to end it that way. He shouldn't have
- 14:01Speaker 1: died alone in the bathroom. That was the last moment,
- 14:04Speaker 1: no words, no corny dialogue, just that look. And he
- 14:08Speaker 1: thought it was beautifully done. Rob. I know you watched it.
- 14:11Speaker 1: I watched the last weekend. Where do you stand under
- 14:14Speaker 1: you think it was? I don't think it was that.
- 14:17Speaker 1: I think you had it both ways. Now. I know,
- 14:19Speaker 1: as somebody just worked a little bit on television myself
- 14:21Speaker 1: and you mark as a as a long time producer,
- 14:23Speaker 1: I understand what you're saying. You want that moment where words,
- 14:27Speaker 1: there's no words to say what's going on there? Just
- 14:30Speaker 1: look between Big and Carrie is how you want to
- 14:32Speaker 1: end it. However, though, whenever you produce something, whenever you
- 14:36Speaker 1: write something, it's got to be based in reality, and
- 14:38Speaker 1: I think they could have had it both ways. I
- 14:40Speaker 1: think Carrie could have ran in, called nine one, dropped
- 14:44Speaker 1: her phone, grabbed him, and then they could have looked
- 14:46Speaker 1: at each other and died. It could have been both
- 14:49Speaker 1: I get it. I don't want the last memory of
- 14:52Speaker 1: her being on nine well one watch your emergency, blah blah.
- 14:56Speaker 1: I know that's not that satisfying. I want it to
- 15:00Speaker 1: be about those two, not not a nine one one operator.
- 15:03Speaker 1: I want the last moment to just be those two characters. However,
- 15:07Speaker 1: if she doesn't go that last moments different, it's different
- 15:13Speaker 1: and it's not based in reality. And I think it's
- 15:16Speaker 1: based in reality. She's a very cruel woman. Maybe she's
- 15:19Speaker 1: like maybe she's like thinking with a life insurance policy,
- 15:21Speaker 1: like how much I get from this? That's what we're reading, Like,
- 15:25Speaker 1: I think she could have walked in the room, gasped,
- 15:28Speaker 1: called nine one one really quickly. We didn't even need
- 15:31Speaker 1: to hear her talk to nine one one, Just nine
- 15:33Speaker 1: one one, get here, immediately, drop your phone, drop your knees,
- 15:37Speaker 1: grab him, kiss him, and then they don't have to speak,
- 15:40Speaker 1: but they can look at each other and crazy. You know,
- 15:44Speaker 1: I just agree with you. I think the dramatics of
- 15:47Speaker 1: it all kind of felt like watching a daytime soap opera,
- 15:50Speaker 1: like I'm still here for it, which I love. We
- 15:52Speaker 1: love it here, we love that here. But it was like,
- 15:54Speaker 1: I don't know if it really resonated with me as
- 15:56Speaker 1: like an impactful moment where I'm like crying or tearing up.
- 15:59Speaker 1: Now I just yeah, I think and now there's too
- 16:03Speaker 1: many questions. I do understand what they're going for. They
- 16:06Speaker 1: could have had it both ways. Hey, we're going to
- 16:07Speaker 1: have it both ways here and take a quick break
- 16:10Speaker 1: and be right back. Welcome back to the show. I'm
- 16:16Speaker 1: Rob Schooner with their friend Mark Loopo. Hey, Loopie, let's
- 16:19Speaker 1: get to the polls. Thank you very much, everybody. So,
- 16:23Speaker 1: Brittany Spears is slamming Diane Sawyer for a two thousand
- 16:28Speaker 1: and three interviews, saying Diane can kiss my a s
- 16:32Speaker 1: s does do? And Sawyer Oh Brittany an apology. Six
- 16:39Speaker 1: percent said yes, gosh that interview now, Mark, At the
- 16:42Speaker 1: time I watched it, oh yes, every word of it. Yes,
- 16:46Speaker 1: edge of my seat, and I didn't bizarrely feel bad
- 16:50Speaker 1: for Brittany. I was so into it. I was just like,
- 16:52Speaker 1: keep going Dianne, keep going, Diane. Now, twenty years later,
- 16:56Speaker 1: it's not right. It's not I want Lyra. I watched
- 17:00Speaker 1: the last night on YouTube. It's still it's still exists,
- 17:03Speaker 1: you know. I think if Diane apologizes, it will open
- 17:06Speaker 1: up a can of worms, because I can only imagine
- 17:08Speaker 1: how many other people she's done this too, Houston. But
- 17:14Speaker 1: she's a legend. I love Diane, and she was. She's
- 17:16Speaker 1: a she's a legend. She's I'm sure she's well. She has,
- 17:18Speaker 1: she's grown from that moment, and other journalists did the
- 17:22Speaker 1: same thing at the time. But I think Britney is
- 17:24Speaker 1: kind of a loose cannon right now, and then to
- 17:26Speaker 1: to engage might not be the best move. I think
- 17:29Speaker 1: you're right, Diane. The majority has spoken. Don't forget to
- 17:33Speaker 1: vote on today's pobl going to Twitter page at Naughty
- 17:36Speaker 1: Nice Rob or Facebook pages naught to check back tomorrow
- 17:40Speaker 1: to hear your results. And now it's time for our
- 17:44Speaker 1: Nicest of the Day by the nicest person or I know,
- 17:49Speaker 1: thanks to Rob, our nicest of the day besides me
- 17:54Speaker 1: is it's on a copy. Of course, I love her.
- 17:59Speaker 1: So she got very ended about explaining her sudden absence
- 18:02Speaker 1: from the today's show, and it turns out she was
- 18:05Speaker 1: enjoying some downtime from technology. M She went on a
- 18:09Speaker 1: retreat rob where they take your phone away for ten days,
- 18:12Speaker 1: and she said that now she's making an effort to
- 18:16Speaker 1: only use her phone when she needs it. And after
- 18:19Speaker 1: the experience, she said, I asked myself the simplest question,
- 18:22Speaker 1: was I happier with it or without it? And she
- 18:25Speaker 1: realized I was happier without it. Wow, I use my
- 18:30Speaker 1: phone all the time. Maybe I use it when I'm bored,
- 18:33Speaker 1: like maybe I use it for work, and I do
- 18:35Speaker 1: use it for stuff that needs to be done, but
- 18:37Speaker 1: also to I scroll through it when I'm in a taxi,
- 18:39Speaker 1: when I'm bored, or god forbid, even at dinner sometimes.
- 18:42Speaker 1: What about you, mom, I'm way addicted to my phone.
- 18:45Speaker 1: And also for us as reporters, as producers, we're on
- 18:49Speaker 1: You're And I'm surprised for her too, because she's a
- 18:51Speaker 1: huge job and it requires a lot of emailing and
- 18:54Speaker 1: texting and calls. So, you know, as nice as it
- 18:56Speaker 1: is to unplug, the reality is she's very plugged in.
- 18:59Speaker 1: She's very plugged in. Although little roomor here, I also
- 19:02Speaker 1: hear she might be off the grid for a little
- 19:05Speaker 1: bit because she might be getting another baby, so let's
- 19:11Speaker 1: do our naughties of the day. Naughties. So Megan marcles
- 19:13Speaker 1: American approach led to the allegations that she bullied staff.
- 19:17Speaker 1: So there's a new book out and they're saying, remember
- 19:19Speaker 1: those rumors that she was bullying staff. Now they're saying
- 19:21Speaker 1: it was just the clash of conscious not to admit
- 19:24Speaker 1: as a bridge who lives in America were very different
- 19:27Speaker 1: and the Brits are really sort of passive aggressive. The
- 19:30Speaker 1: Americans are aggressive. There's nothing passive about it, like we're
- 19:32Speaker 1: just we tell you what we want, and I love
- 19:34Speaker 1: that about America. The Brits will tell not quite. And
- 19:38Speaker 1: so I think Megan walking into that palace, it's like
- 19:42Speaker 1: walking into a big company and she's the boss, Like
- 19:44Speaker 1: she walks in quite high up, and so her style
- 19:47Speaker 1: was very different. And they're saying that is the basis
- 19:50Speaker 1: of all the problems. That it should be pointing out
- 19:52Speaker 1: too that the two staffers who alleged they were bullied
- 19:55Speaker 1: by Megan Marcle have now retracted those claims. But what
- 19:59Speaker 1: are to think about that mark? When you walk into
- 20:02Speaker 1: a job, particularly a new job, do you have your style,
- 20:05Speaker 1: they have their styles. Do you have to hold back
- 20:07Speaker 1: a little bit and blend in or do you go
- 20:10Speaker 1: in guns blazing. As a New Yorker, I find myself
- 20:14Speaker 1: sometimes being short but to the point, but friendly, and
- 20:18Speaker 1: you know, I think we move a little bit more quickly,
- 20:20Speaker 1: expect things to be done more quickly, and so it
- 20:23Speaker 1: might come off as as harsh, but in the reality,
- 20:25Speaker 1: it's just the way that we operate. We're trying to
- 20:27Speaker 1: get things done. We have a lot going on. So
- 20:29Speaker 1: I can see Megan maybe being misunderstood. I don't think
- 20:32Speaker 1: she's a bully, I think, but she might have not,
- 20:34Speaker 1: you know, operated the same way that they were. Yeah,
- 20:37Speaker 1: she went it hot, she went I get it the
- 20:41Speaker 1: day before we go a moment of rob you get
- 20:43Speaker 1: a roub, you get a roub, you get a rob.
- 20:45Speaker 1: So when you choose to forgive, you always end up
- 20:49Speaker 1: helping yourself more than those who wronged you were You've
- 20:54Speaker 1: been beating yourself up from far too long, hoping to
- 20:57Speaker 1: hurt others, when in reality only hurting yourself. Let's try
- 21:02Speaker 1: something new. Let's try and forgive ourselves today. Give yourself.
- 21:07Speaker 1: You've done something silly, you've done something not great. Forgive yourself,
- 21:12Speaker 1: in fact, forgive others too. Somebody's done something awful. They're
- 21:15Speaker 1: not thinking about you. You're thinking about them, they're not
- 21:19Speaker 1: thinking about you. Forgiveness has set me free. Well, Rob,
- 21:24Speaker 1: I hope that Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck are both
- 21:27Speaker 1: listening so he could be set free as well. I'm
- 21:30Speaker 1: mad with you. Hey, that's it. Thank you so much
- 21:37Speaker 1: listening to the even nice with Robert Marks. You have
- 21:39Speaker 1: a production of I Heart Radially, don't think it to
- 21:42Speaker 1: describe on the I Heart Radio and Pable pond Castle
- 21:45Speaker 1: or wherever you listen and leave us a review if
- 21:47Speaker 1: you can. They really help and remember all together now,
- 21:49Speaker 1: if you're going to be naughty, you've got to take
- 21:54Speaker 1: care of everybody. It's starting. But nice with m
