- 0:00- We bring in Seth Grossman who probably has
- 0:02- plenty to say about that. And, another thing
- 0:05- about,
- 0:06- what is it you're you're, putting on your
- 0:09- website, Seth, about
- 0:10- Islam?
- 0:12- I found that very interesting. You wanna talk
- 0:13- about that?
- 0:15- Well well, first, about
- 0:17- the sixty minutes.
- 0:19- The real figure in sixty minutes is a
- 0:21- woman called Barry Weiss,
- 0:23- and she's a remarkable woman. She had been
- 0:26- the editor of the editorial page of the
- 0:29- New York Times,
- 0:30- and she was basically fired by the New
- 0:33- York Times because she wanted to have
- 0:35- opinions,
- 0:37- from different points of view on the editorial
- 0:40- page. So they fired her, and they thought
- 0:42- her career was over. But what she did,
- 0:45- she formed her own online newspaper called the
- 0:48- Free Press,
- 0:49- which ended up getting more,
- 0:51- online engagement and, and reach than the New
- 0:54- York Times itself.
- 0:56- A remarkable success, and she made money. And
- 0:59- and that is why she got picked up,
- 1:01- by that billionaire to,
- 1:04- from Paramount
- 1:05- who runs, CBS News. And, of course, she
- 1:08- is the one who wants to bring that
- 1:10- same
- 1:10- let's hear both sides.
- 1:12- Let's have integrity in journalism.
- 1:15- That's how she got in charge in sixty
- 1:17- minutes. So it had nothing to do with
- 1:18- Trump.
- 1:19- And, and, yeah, it was very dishonest,
- 1:22- to say that it was. I just wanted
- 1:23- to get that point out. Oh, good. I'm
- 1:25- glad you did. Thanks.
- 1:28- So, anyway, you know, Liberty and Prosperity
- 1:30- meets every Saturday,
- 1:32- morning from 09:30 to 10:30. And once a
- 1:35- month, we have a business meeting. And that,
- 1:37- you know, meeting and the breakfast is always
- 1:39- held at Sal's Coal Fired Pizza in Somers
- 1:42- Point.
- 1:43- And we, are online at libertyandprosperity.com
- 1:46- where we post what we decided these business
- 1:48- meetings. And you can always reach us at
- 1:51- info@libertyandprosperity.com
- 1:53- by email
- 1:54- and get free email updates from us.
- 1:57- Now on this particular meeting,
- 2:00- we are going to decide a very controversial
- 2:02- issue which has divided members of our group.
- 2:05- And by way of of of background, every
- 2:07- year,
- 2:08- we come up with 10 or 12
- 2:11- key issues
- 2:12- that Liberty and Prosperity
- 2:13- focuses
- 2:15- on. Because if we just talk about, you
- 2:17- know, every issue that comes up every week,
- 2:19- it's just noise. People don't pay attention. So
- 2:22- we focus on a small group of issues,
- 2:25- and they're posted on our website. But at
- 2:27- our May meeting,
- 2:28- there were two issues that we could not,
- 2:30- reach agreement on, so we'll be discussing them
- 2:33- today, this morning.
- 2:34- And one of them is this, to see
- 2:36- if this should be one of our key
- 2:38- issues.
- 2:39- Is Islam
- 2:41- incompatible
- 2:42- with American liberty and prosperity?
- 2:45- Is it a religion
- 2:47- protected by the first amendment?
- 2:49- Now most,
- 2:51- Americans growing up say, of course, every religion
- 2:54- is protected by the first amendment.
- 2:56- But if you study
- 2:58- American history, you know that back in the
- 3:00- eighteen eighties,
- 3:01- you had the Mormon religion,
- 3:03- actively
- 3:04- promoted polygamy, having men have more than one
- 3:06- wife. And that was, illegal, in The United
- 3:08- States and Christian most, Western European Christian,
- 3:13- Christian countries.
- 3:15- But they persisted in it, and The United
- 3:18- States actually passed a law
- 3:20- that said that polygamy is illegal in The
- 3:23- United States. And if a religious,
- 3:27- movement
- 3:28- promoted something that was illegal,
- 3:30- then that religious movement was illegal,
- 3:33- and the Mormon religion was made illegal in
- 3:36- The United States until they got rid of
- 3:36- polygamy. So that's a historical fact. So now
- 3:36- we
- 3:37- until they got rid of polygamy.
- 3:39- So that's a historical fact. So now we
- 3:41- have,
- 3:42- we're doing with Islam.
- 3:44- And the question is, is Islam
- 3:46- in the same situation
- 3:48- as the,
- 3:49- Mormons when they promoted,
- 3:51- polygamy? Because,
- 3:53- Islamic
- 3:54- law requires every Muslim to deny the supremacy
- 3:58- of the constitution
- 4:00- and all United States laws.
- 4:03- It denies the idea
- 4:05- that we're all created equal and endowed by
- 4:07- our creator with unalienable rights Because under Islam,
- 4:11- people who don't believe have no rights.
- 4:13- And it also,
- 4:15- encourages a significant number of people
- 4:17- to believe that if,
- 4:20- is someone who believes in Islam
- 4:23- kills a non Muslim
- 4:24- in the name of, of Jihad
- 4:26- that they automatically get forgiveness of sins
- 4:30- and spend eternity in paradise.
- 4:32- And in many ways that teaching is more
- 4:35- dangerous to Americans
- 4:37- than polygamy.
- 4:38- So the question comes up is should we
- 4:40- treat
- 4:41- Islam the same way as we treated
- 4:45- the Mormons when they believed, you know, they
- 4:47- promoted beliefs that were against the law. So
- 4:50- we're gonna be, voting on that at, Saturday
- 4:54- morning, June 6, if you're listening to it
- 4:56- then. And,
- 4:57- we we encourage the people to present both
- 5:00- sides,
- 5:01- and we're gonna make a decision one way
- 5:03- or the other on that. We welcome everyone's,
- 5:06- participation
- 5:06- on that subject. Do I get a vote?
- 5:10- Yes. You can if you email it.
- 5:13- But text me, I will certainly bring it
- 5:14- up when when I go to the meeting.
- 5:16- Well well
- 5:17- I say no.
- 5:20- Alright. So that's one point. The second point,
- 5:22- of course,
- 5:24- the, book we're promoting a book,
- 5:26- you know, sixteen seventy six project,
- 5:29- that I wrote, during the past year. And
- 5:31- it's a really a liberty and prosperity project
- 5:34- for three
- 5:35- reasons. Number one, every one of those 44
- 5:38- chapters,
- 5:40- revoke or or,
- 5:42- refute
- 5:43- a woke talking point that our kids are
- 5:45- being taught in school. So the book teaches
- 5:47- you how to deal with your children
- 5:49- when they're taught that America is an evil
- 5:51- place, a bad place. It has to be
- 5:53- fundamentally transformed.
- 5:55- Number two, the book, you know, is a
- 5:58- guide,
- 5:59- to anyone who believes that, we should make
- 6:01- America great again because you can't make America
- 6:04- great again if you don't know what it
- 6:06- was that Americans did that made America great
- 6:09- before. And it just shows how
- 6:12- these basic ideas of running the government,
- 6:16- that Americans did back in sixteen seventy six,
- 6:19- a hundred years before the declaration of independence
- 6:22- right here in New Jersey.
- 6:24- And there's nothing yeah. You could say, well,
- 6:26- that's old fashioned. You can't do this today.
- 6:29- But the thing is you can do it
- 6:30- today, and we have to do things that
- 6:32- way, today
- 6:34- if you want to enjoy the same success
- 6:36- that New Jersey had three hundred and fifty
- 6:39- years ago. So So that's part of the
- 6:41- book. The second part of the book is,
- 6:44- it it just teaches you basic American history
- 6:48- that every American
- 6:49- used to know.
- 6:51- When I did the book, I it has
- 6:52- a it's big print, lots of illustrations.
- 6:55- And most of those illustrations came from textbooks
- 6:59- that every American eighth grader,
- 7:02- was taught. You know? All these basic facts
- 7:05- that any eighth grader know today
- 7:07- that most Americans
- 7:08- don't know today.
- 7:10- Not just about American history, but European history,
- 7:13- important ideas,
- 7:14- historical events,
- 7:16- and all that's in the book. And so
- 7:18- we're selling the book,
- 7:20- online through Amazon
- 7:21- for, $25
- 7:23- because Amazon,
- 7:25- charges us, $20.
- 7:27- But if you buy the book directly from
- 7:29- us,
- 7:30- we could buy it for $11 and we're
- 7:32- selling it for $20.
- 7:34- So if anyone could help us, get that
- 7:36- book in the hands
- 7:38- of anyone who wants to learn from it,
- 7:41- we encourage you to to to,
- 7:43- you know, maybe your church group, maybe you're
- 7:45- in a historical society,
- 7:47- maybe have a friend who has a boardwalk
- 7:49- store or any store. You know, they could
- 7:52- buy the book for $15, sell it for
- 7:54- 20, and everybody makes a profit. So, please
- 7:57- contact,
- 7:58- contact us about that. You do. Thank you.
- 8:00- And the final thing about Liberty and Prosperity,
- 8:02- we have a scholarship
- 8:04- for graduating
- 8:06- high school, seniors to learn about,
- 8:09- what made America great. And we're giving $2,000
- 8:12- scholarships out at our meeting
- 8:14- next Saturday at 09:30. So instead of having
- 8:17- a meeting next Saturday, the thirteenth,
- 8:20- it's gonna be a scholarship pancake breakfast for
- 8:23- $35
- 8:24- So I urge everybody listening, even if you've
- 8:26- never had time to come to a breakfast
- 8:28- discussion or a meeting before,
- 8:30- pay the $35
- 8:32- get a great pancake breakfast at Sal's Coal
- 8:34- Fired Pizza.
- 8:36- Obviously, we're not serving pizza for breakfast.
- 8:39- And and that will pay for the scholarship
- 8:41- program for next year. So we have a
- 8:43- lot going on.
- 8:44- Well, that's, that's very commendable. I'm I'm glad
- 8:47- you're doing that,
- 8:48- really.
- 8:50- And and thank you. And, of course, besides
- 8:52- that, we have some other,
- 8:54- items in the news. We, of course, Tuesday,
- 8:56- we had a primary election,
- 8:59- in New Jersey,
- 9:00- and Republicans
- 9:02- picked,
- 9:03- somebody called Justin Murphy
- 9:05- to be the candidate for, US senator to
- 9:08- run against Cory Booker.
- 9:10- And,
- 9:11- and that's an issue. How did Justin Murphy,
- 9:14- get,
- 9:15- the nomination?
- 9:16- Well, partly, partly, it was because,
- 9:18- really inside baseball in the in the state
- 9:21- Republican party,
- 9:22- you had a real split between,
- 9:25- personalities like Bill Spadia,
- 9:28- a town square talk show host, by the
- 9:30- way,
- 9:31- in in Trenton,
- 9:32- and Michael Crispy in the Trenton area,
- 9:35- had a grudge against,
- 9:37- you know, some other Republican leaders and also
- 9:40- against George Gilmore.
- 9:41- So, basically,
- 9:44- certain, you know, people in the establishment Republicans,
- 9:48- you know, that that they can't call the
- 9:50- shots.
- 9:51- The problem is is that Justin Murphy is
- 9:54- just an awkward
- 9:55- candidate. And and we're just hoping
- 9:57- that we
- 9:59- could, you know, teach him some of the
- 10:00- stuff that you need to know to get
- 10:02- beyond
- 10:04- Republicans
- 10:05- and and be a serious contender for Cory
- 10:07- Booker. So how that we'll see how that
- 10:10- plays out. I'm sure Justin Murphy will be
- 10:12- at Liberty and Prosperity
- 10:13- within the next couple weeks, and we'll be
- 10:15- talking in more detail about that.
- 10:19- He's got a tough road tough road to
- 10:21- to beat Cory Booker, you know, that's
- 10:23- Yeah. Any any Republican did, you know, but
- 10:26- I I just felt that Rich Taboor,
- 10:28- had a better handle on how to do
- 10:30- it. But Yeah. So did I. So did
- 10:33- I. Yeah. But but and and that's why
- 10:35- I supported him. But, you know, when when
- 10:37- we look at Los Angeles, when you see
- 10:39- how someone like Spencer Pratt,
- 10:42- can use creative,
- 10:44- you know, videos and creative messaging to get
- 10:47- the word out, it is very possible that
- 10:49- if, Justin Murphy,
- 10:51- embraces that, that he could put himself, in
- 10:54- a contender position. So only time will tell
- 10:57- if that happens. And, of course, that takes
- 10:59- money, that takes participation.
- 11:01- We'll be talking about that during the next
- 11:03- couple weeks.
- 11:05- Meanwhile, on the Democrat side,
- 11:08- that was an interesting race. You had four
- 11:10- Democrats,
- 11:12- were fighting for the Democratic nomination to run
- 11:15- against Jeff Van Drew.
- 11:17- And the winner was someone called Zach Mullock.
- 11:21- Now,
- 11:22- I'm pretty sure that Zach Mullock is the
- 11:24- son of Bob Mullock,
- 11:25- the owner of the, the Cape May National
- 11:28- Golf Course
- 11:30- in Cape
- 11:31- May. And,
- 11:33- you know, none of that was mentioned. You
- 11:35- hear hear about country club Republicans.
- 11:37- You never hear about country club Democrats, but,
- 11:40- you know, to to have the Democratic Party
- 11:43- of the people, chooses their nominee,
- 11:45- the owner of a country club. Well, that's,
- 11:48- you know, in interesting,
- 11:50- turnout.
- 11:51- And ironically, the the,
- 11:53- the the I guess, Tim Alexander who is
- 11:56- the, like, the,
- 11:57- a black guy who had all the credentials
- 12:00- of what democrats should need to win.
- 12:02- He was really rejected by the, South Jersey
- 12:05- Democrats for the third time in a row.
- 12:08- And that raises another interesting point,
- 12:11- where the, you know, the Democrats keep accusing,
- 12:15- Republicans
- 12:16- of
- 12:17- changing districts so that,
- 12:19- the blacks are excluded in some of the
- 12:21- Southern states.
- 12:23- But the real problem is when when you
- 12:25- have,
- 12:26- extreme
- 12:27- radical left black candidates
- 12:30- who can only get elected if 90% of
- 12:33- their district is black,
- 12:35- you know, that's a problem. And you have
- 12:36- to ask yourself, why are Democrats
- 12:39- rejecting
- 12:40- qualified blacks in a district where,
- 12:43- some like Tim Alexander would have a competitive
- 12:45- race. So it's not that, Republicans are keeping
- 12:48- out blacks. You know? It's it's the Democrats,
- 12:52- have done this to Tim Alexander. So I'm
- 12:54- I'm curious
- 12:55- how that's gonna play out.
- 12:57- Meanwhile, in another congressional district,
- 13:00- the the one in the Scranton area,
- 13:04- where Bonnie, Coleman Watson, I believe, is the
- 13:06- current congressman.
- 13:08- You had a radical,
- 13:10- leftist called Adam Hamawi
- 13:13- won the democratic
- 13:15- nomination. And and there's actually an Atlantic City
- 13:18- connection with him
- 13:19- because I don't know if you remember, but
- 13:22- back in '19,
- 13:24- '90,
- 13:25- there was someone called the blind sheikh,
- 13:28- Abdul Rahman,
- 13:30- who had,
- 13:31- attempted to murder.
- 13:34- Actually, he was involved in a plot that
- 13:35- murdered Anwar Sadat,
- 13:38- the president of Egypt.
- 13:40- And then for some reason,
- 13:42- the George Bush administration
- 13:44- allowed this radical,
- 13:47- jihadi assassin
- 13:49- to set up a mosque in Brooklyn, New
- 13:51- York.
- 13:52- In 1990,
- 13:53- this guy,
- 13:55- murdered Rabbi Meir Kahane in the streets Of
- 13:58- Manhattan.
- 13:59- And then three years later, his followers put
- 14:01- a truck bomb
- 14:03- under the World Trade Center and killed several
- 14:05- dozen people.
- 14:07- And the only reason they got caught red
- 14:09- handed
- 14:10- was because,
- 14:11- they tried to get the
- 14:13- deposit back on their on their trucks that
- 14:15- they rented. They rented a Ryder truck. I
- 14:17- don't know if you remember any of that.
- 14:19- I I I do remember it. Yeah.
- 14:22- And the key detective
- 14:24- who who who,
- 14:26- who, I guess, who arrested the perpetrator in
- 14:28- Pakistan
- 14:30- was a guy called, Chuck Stern, the son
- 14:32- of a dentist from Atlantic City, who many
- 14:35- of us know who became an FBI agent.
- 14:36- So you always have Atlantic City connection with
- 14:38- everything.
- 14:39- But, anyway,
- 14:41- a top disciple of this Abdul Rahman,
- 14:45- was this Adam Hamali who just won the
- 14:48- nomination for congress.
- 14:50- And if you read the testimony and by
- 14:52- the way, on the Brian Kilmeade show yesterday,
- 14:55- they went in a great detail of exactly
- 14:57- how much of a,
- 14:59- a hater of America and a murderer,
- 15:03- this Adam Hamali is. And now he's likely
- 15:06- become a one of, New Jersey's 12 congressmen
- 15:09- as a nominee of the Democratic Party. So
- 15:11- it's just remarkable that that is happening.
- 15:15- And then then I guess the final point,
- 15:18- going back to what you spoke of at
- 15:19- the beginning.
- 15:20- You know, two officers were shot
- 15:22- and one is still, I guess, in in
- 15:25- critical or close to critical condition,
- 15:27- in the in the hospital.
- 15:29- But the question no one is talking about
- 15:32- is why was this guy, Donald Gardner, out
- 15:35- in the street in the first place?
- 15:37- We know for a fact
- 15:39- that roughly 60 to 70% of the crimes
- 15:42- are committed by just 6% of the people.
- 15:45- So, all we have to do is do
- 15:47- what they did in El Salvador.
- 15:49- Once we identify these dangerous uncivilized
- 15:52- psychopaths,
- 15:54- we have to lock them up and keep
- 15:55- them locked up. And the fact that we
- 15:57- let him out,
- 15:59- and and and he's not in prison, that's
- 16:02- that's really, a disgrace for New Jersey.
- 16:05- And and when you say that two officers
- 16:07- have to be critically shot
- 16:09- to enforce a warrant,
- 16:11- A warrant means somebody was already in jail.
- 16:14- They were already arrested.
- 16:16- They're already identified as a criminal, and then
- 16:19- a judge lets them out,
- 16:22- saying, well, you have to show up in
- 16:23- court in a certain date, and they don't
- 16:25- show up. And now we have to put
- 16:26- police officers in danger
- 16:29- to go,
- 16:31- re arrest someone who never should have been
- 16:33- released in the first place. I hope we'll
- 16:35- have those kind of discussions,
- 16:37- more publicly, but I just don't see it.
- 16:40- Yeah.
- 16:42- That that is
- 16:43- I I wondered that too. Like, why was
- 16:45- this guy out? You know? Yeah.
- 16:48- So so anyway, so here that I've, spoken
- 16:51- and I have, like, another twenty minutes of
- 16:53- stuff to talk about on the cutting room
- 16:55- floor. I'm just gonna mention them.
- 16:57- You know you had an 18 year old,
- 17:00- freshman,
- 17:01- in England, freshman college student
- 17:04- stabbed,
- 17:06- by a, an immigrant in in, England. And
- 17:10- as he's bleeding to death,
- 17:12- the perpetrator called the victim a racist. And
- 17:15- because of that, instead of treating the
- 17:18- victim
- 17:18- for stab wounds, the police handcuffed them and
- 17:21- watched them bleed to death in England, and
- 17:24- yet not one major media outlet in America
- 17:27- has even reported that story.
- 17:29- And, of course, you have, in in New
- 17:31- Jersey, new legislation, $20,000,000
- 17:34- to defend illegal aliens,
- 17:36- and also a new law
- 17:38- that would impose,
- 17:40- penalties on any companies,
- 17:42- New Jersey companies that, sold fossil fuels,
- 17:46- during the past twenty years to pay $50,000,000,000
- 17:49- to the state.
