- 0:03Welcome to This Daring Adventure Podcast, where we work on bridging the gap between where we are and where we want to be in order to live a bigger and bolder life.
- 0:14In this podcast, we will provide inspiration, tips, and skills you need to make your life the adventure you want it to be.
- 0:22Here's your host, mindset mentor and life coach, Trista Guertin.
- 0:34Trista: Hey, everybody.
- 0:34Trista: Welcome back to This Daring Adventure.
- 0:36Trista: Thank you for joining me today.
- 0:38Trista: And I wanted to talk about a couple of things today.
- 0:43Trista: The first is, I will tell you, that I'm working with a coach on just a short-term, four-week program.
- 0:56Trista: So I'm enrolled in his program, and before we started, he sent me an intake form and said, "This will take you like 15, 20 minutes.
- 1:07Trista: Please just do this and send it in, and then it'll help me to prepare."
- 1:10Trista: I said, "Fine."
- 1:12Trista: So I did it last Friday night thinking, "All right.
- 1:16Trista: I have half an hour here before I'm going out, so I will do this now."
- 1:21Trista: And I will tell you, it was not anywhere near 15 or 20 minutes.
- 1:27Trista: It took me a while.
- 1:28Trista: It probably took me, I want to say, like an hour and a half.
- 1:32Trista: They were hard questions.
- 1:34Trista: They pushed me to think.
- 1:37Trista: They all made sense, but I was just like, "Oh, my gosh.
- 1:40Trista: How can I get out of this?
- 1:41Trista: How can I ChatGPT it or something?"
- 1:44Trista: Like, just did not wanna do it.
- 1:49Trista: But I thought, "No."
- 1:51Trista: You know, I've invested in this program.
- 1:54Trista: I'm investing my time, so I need to do this and make this the most effective that I can And so it worked me, and I did it, and I sat there, and some questions I skipped over and had
- 2:14Trista: to go back to and had to sit and think.
- 2:19Trista: And I really had to push myself.
- 2:22Trista: And I have to say that by the end, the hour and a half, I really felt like I'd ha- I had already upleveled.
- 2:33Trista: I had already changed.
- 2:34Trista: It had already pushed me.
- 2:36Trista: It made me dig deep.
- 2:40Trista: It was about things that I was already thinking about, things that I wanted, who I wanted to become, what I wanted to accomplish in these sessions.
- 2:50Trista: And so it wasn't anything new, but it just went deeper.
- 2:55Trista: Really made me think, really made me articulate what I wanted.
- 3:00Trista: And I have to say, it really did change me.
- 3:05Trista: And I almost feel like even if I don't get anything else out of the program, which I know I will, but that alone was worth the price of admission And so the point is that I want to encourage
- 3:21Trista: you to, first of all, invest your time and your energy and your resources in yourself to expect the unexpected.
- 3:34Trista: When you sign up for a transformation, when you sign up to do the work, when you decide you wanna make changes, you never exactly know where or when or how those changes are gonna come about.
- 3:47Trista: So you need to be open.
- 3:49Trista: You need to be willing.
- 3:50Trista: You need to be putting yourself out there.
- 3:52Trista: You need to force yourself to do the work.
- 3:55Trista: Most of the time, you're not gonna wanna feel like doing this, or you're not gonna feel like doing this, and that's okay.
- 4:02Trista: It's to be expected, and you have to do it anyway.
- 4:08Trista: And Just know that the transformation is possible It is.
- 4:20Trista: I have had a wild week.
- 4:22Trista: I have worked with people.
- 4:24Trista: I have now assembled my dream team, I'm calling it.
- 4:28Trista: I've assembled a group of coaches that I've wanted to work with for several years now, and I am now working with them.
- 4:37Trista: And yes, there are multiple coaches because that's how I roll.
- 4:41Trista: Because I'm taking this very seriously.
- 4:45Trista: I'm taking my- myself seriously, my life seriously, my business seriously.
- 4:50Trista: You don't have to do this.
- 4:52Trista: Probably one coach is more than enough.
- 4:55Trista: But I've decided that for the rest of the year, especially for the remaining one hundred days of the year, I'm going all in.
- 5:05Trista: I am investing in myself, and that includes money, that includes time, that includes energy, and I'm going to uplevel in every single way.
- 5:18Trista: And that included that intake form, and I've learned my lesson.
- 5:25Trista: The transformation will come in unexpected ways, and I am not here to question it.
- 5:33Trista: Next, I wanted to do this episode because I was listening to...
- 5:41Trista: or I was watching a YouTube video today, And he was talking about arguing for your greatness instead of arguing for your limitations.
- 5:53Trista: And I see this often, and I've done it myself.
- 5:57Trista: And I think most of us are quite good at arguing for our limitations.
- 6:03Trista: We're very good at it.
- 6:05Trista: And it's easy to collect evidence.
- 6:09Trista: We prepare a case.
- 6:10Trista: We, we know.
- 6:12Trista: We have all of the facts from all of the decades of our lives, and we can prove it.
- 6:21Trista: We can argue for it.
- 6:23Trista: This is who we are.
- 6:25Trista: And it could be that we're not confident, we're not good at making decisions, we're overthinkers, we don't follow through, we don't put ourselves out there.
- 6:34Trista: I'm not entrepreneurial, I'm not disciplined, I'm not good with money.
- 6:38Trista: I'm not someone who takes risks.
- 6:41Trista: I could never do that.
- 6:42Trista: I don't know what I want.
- 6:44Trista: And usually, when we talk about these things, we talk about them as facts.
- 6:52Trista: These, these don't come across just as opinions, but we have them stored and logged and describe them as facts.
- 7:00Trista: This is who we are.
- 7:02Trista: That's it.
- 7:02Trista: Case closed.
- 7:05Trista: And it's easy, and it doesn't require anything of us.
- 7:10Trista: But what if the case isn't closed?
- 7:14Trista: What if you've simply spent years gathering evidence for one side, but you could become just as committed to gathering evidence for the other side?
- 7:22Trista: And I always ask my clients this: What else could be true?
- 7:27Trista: what if you started arguing for your greatness?
- 7:31Trista: And that's what I wanted to talk about today.
- 7:35Trista: And when I say greatness, I don't mean necessarily becoming famous or wildly successful or turning yourself into some superhuman version of yourself who gets up at 4:30 and drinks green juice and meditates for two hours and never gets
- 7:48Trista: annoyed.
- 7:50Trista: But there is a greatest version of you.
- 7:54Trista: It is the fullest expression of you, and it's available to you now.
- 8:00Trista: It's the woman who stops letting fear make her decisions, who trusts herself, who knows what she wants, and is willing to go after it, like really go after it.
- 8:10Trista: She's not constantly asking everyone whether she's doing things correctly or trying to keep everybody happy, but she's out there trying to discover what she's capable of And I think most of us have barely scratched the surface And that's
- 8:31Trista: okay if you don't wanna do that But if there's any inkling, if there's any small desire, if there's any thought that crosses your mind from time to time, then this is for you.
- 8:47Trista: Because I am out here being the greatest version of myself, and every day it's different, and that's really exciting But your brain isn't particularly interested in your greatness, and that's the first thing you need to understand because your
- 9:12Trista: brain isn't waking up every morning saying, "Let's see how extraordinary we can become today."
- 9:18Trista: No.
- 9:21Trista: Your brain likes what it knows.
- 9:23Trista: It likes the familiar.
- 9:25Trista: It likes the predictable.
- 9:26Trista: It doesn't like risk.
- 9:28Trista: It doesn't want to do the work, and it pays particular attention to problems and threats.
- 9:35Trista: Human beings have what psychologists call a negativity bias.
- 9:40Trista: Our attention can be pulled toward negative or potentially threatening information because from a survival perspective, noticing danger has historically mattered a great deal.
- 9:52Trista: This is how we survived back in the cave You didn't need to stand around appreciating the beautiful sunset when something dangerous was coming towards you.
- 10:04Trista: You needed to notice the danger.
- 10:07Trista: That was very useful.
- 10:09Trista: Except now, the danger might be starting the podcast, posting on social media, leaving the job, going on the date, starting the business, setting the boundary, moving to Paris, Charging for your work, saying what you actually think, admitting that
- 10:27Trista: maybe you want something completely different from the life you've been living, and suddenly your brain has a lot to say.
- 10:34Trista: Like, "No, no, no, we don't do things like that."
- 10:38Trista: And it starts to point to the evidence.
- 10:41Trista: "Remember the last time you tried something and it didn't work?
- 10:44Trista: Remember when someone criticized you?
- 10:46Trista: Remember when you made the wrong decision?"
- 10:49Trista: And it would also give you possibilities of what could go wrong.
- 10:55Trista: "Somebody could see it.
- 10:57Trista: Somebody could say something.
- 10:58Trista: Somebody could judge you So it really wants you to stay where you are And we believe it But your brain is not giving you an objective biography.
- 11:14Trista: It's building a case, and it's very selective about the evidence.
- 11:18Trista: Because if you've decided you're not confident, you notice all of the times you weren't confident, and you forget the hundreds of times you did something while nervous.
- 11:29Trista: And if you believe you never follow through, your brain will happily remind you about the gym membership you abandoned, the course you didn't finish, the business idea you didn't pursue.
- 11:40Trista: It doesn't mention the career that you built or the people you cared for or the countries you moved to or the crises you survived or the relationships you navigated or the difficult conversations you had Or the thousands of
- 11:54Trista: times you got up and figured something out The brain doesn't count those It's pretty interesting, isn't it?
- 12:08Trista: Listen, I had a very convincing case against myself, and I've done this in my own life several times.
- 12:13Trista: For years, I had plenty of ideas about who I was and who I wasn't, and it kept me playing pretty small.
- 12:21Trista: I told myself I wasn't entrepreneurial, didn't have an entrepreneurial bone in my body.
- 12:27Trista: I wasn't creative.
- 12:28Trista: Oh my goodness, I said that all the time, "I'm not creative."
- 12:32Trista: And my coach was finally just like, "You have to absolutely stop saying that.
- 12:36Trista: Like, don't ever say that again."
- 12:40Trista: I didn't think I was someone who could build a business.
- 12:44Trista: I was terrified about being a coach.
- 12:47Trista: I wasn't someone who put herself out there publicly.
- 12:49Trista: I remember it was December 2020 when I posted something.
- 12:55Trista: It was a, like a, a quote on Instagram.
- 12:59Trista: You could probably go back and find it.
- 13:02Trista: I was so nervous to put it out there, and I pressed post and thought the world was gonna cave in.
- 13:12Trista: But nothing even happened.
- 13:13Trista: Nobody even noticed it.
- 13:14Trista: I don't even know if anybody liked it.
- 13:16Trista: I don't think anybody saw it other than me.
- 13:20Trista: But I was completely terrified And you know what?
- 13:27Trista: For any of those, I could have given you evidence.
- 13:29Trista: I had a whole career behind me that looked very different from some of the things I'm doing now.
- 13:34Trista: You know, I've worked over 20 years internationally.
- 13:38Trista: I've worked in humanitarian aid.
- 13:40Trista: I've worked in places like Iraq and Yemen and Lebanon and, and Mozambique.
- 13:45Trista: I've managed large teams and handled difficult situations, and I built a life around that identity.
- 13:53Trista: And I told myself for a long time it didn't matter, wasn't important And there were things about myself that I simply accepted as true, about what I could have, about who I was, about what was possible for me
- 14:10Trista: And there were things I didn't even consider.
- 14:14Trista: The first time I told a coach about a dream I had had about living in Paris, she said, "Why not?
- 14:23Trista: Why wouldn't you move to Paris?
- 14:24Trista: Why wouldn't you live there?"
- 14:27Trista: And I cried, and I cried, and I cried.
- 14:29Trista: I sobbed.
- 14:30Trista: I was a mess Because I had never said it out loud.
- 14:35Trista: I had never said it to anybody.
- 14:37Trista: I never took it seriously And that was life-changing.
- 14:42Trista: Just being honest with myself and saying it out loud and taking it seriously And this is how coaching started changing the way I saw myself.
- 14:55Trista: We started asking more.
- 14:56Trista: We started asking different questions.
- 14:59Trista: What if this simply isn't who I am?
- 15:03Trista: What if this is who I've practiced being?
- 15:05Trista: What if this is how I've been programmed?
- 15:08Trista: What if this is how my brain made sense of these experiences?
- 15:14Trista: What if some of these things I've been saying about myself and thinking about myself aren't facts at all, and don't have to define me, and don't have to mean anything about what I'm capable of, what my future will
- 15:26Trista: look like?
- 15:28Trista: And then I had to look at the evidence on the other side because, wait a minute, I had moved across the world.
- 15:34Trista: I had walked into countries where I barely knew anybody and figured things out.
- 15:38Trista: I led large teams.
- 15:39Trista: I navigated enormous amounts of uncertainty and insecurity.
- 15:44Trista: I had ended a long-term relationship, which I didn't think I could.
- 15:47Trista: I've changed careers.
- 15:48Trista: I've built a coaching business.
- 15:49Trista: I created a podcast.
- 15:51Trista: I've coached women around the world, and I've done hundreds of things I once didn't know how to do, and every single time I was terrified.
- 16:01Trista: Look, I'm living and working in Mozambique right now.
- 16:04Trista: The first time I came to Mozambique was 23 years ago.
- 16:09Trista: I was completely terrified, completely, and that wasn't the first time I had traveled internationally, but it was the first time I was in Africa.
- 16:17Trista: And I was in a big city, capital city, didn't know a soul.
- 16:22Trista: I had a name of somebody, but landed, had no idea what I was doing.
- 16:27Trista: Completely terrified.
- 16:28Trista: I don't think I left the hotel for two days.
- 16:33Trista: But I did it.
- 16:36Trista: So which story is true?
- 16:39Trista: There's evidence for everything, and that's the point.
- 16:43Trista: If I wanted to argue for my limitations, I could have absolutely built a case.
- 16:50Trista: But give me 10 minutes to argue for my greatness, I will give you evidence for that too, and so do you You've got the evidence.
- 17:02Trista: You just have to force your brain to give it to you.
- 17:04Trista: It's work.
- 17:05Trista: It's not easy, especially if you haven't done it before.
- 17:11Trista: So I want you to really listen to the language you use about yourself, and I see this with clients all the time.
- 17:17Trista: A woman will come to me and say, "I don't trust myself.
- 17:21Trista: I don't have the confidence."
- 17:23Trista: And I'll a- ask her why, And she will give me the evidence.
- 17:30Trista: A decision she regrets, something somebody said to her, something somebody did to her, something she stayed in too long, she didn't speak up, she started something and quit, she hasn't done something yet, she made mistakes, and therefore she
- 17:46Trista: doesn't trust herself Okay.
- 17:51Trista: But have you ever made a difficult decision?
- 17:56Trista: Yeah.
- 17:57Trista: Have you ever figured something out that you didn't know what to do?
- 17:59Trista: Yeah.
- 18:01Trista: Have you ever survived a decision you regretted?
- 18:04Trista: Yeah.
- 18:06Trista: Have you ever handled disappointment?
- 18:08Trista: Yeah You know, I had a client who was telling me that she didn't feel strong, she didn't feel confident And she had a very small, low opinion of herself.
- 18:27Trista: She wasn't strong.
- 18:28Trista: She wasn't confident.
- 18:31Trista: And she was the woman who had left her marriage because she didn't want to be with her husband anymore, moved countries, started a life during the pandemic in a different country, and had built up them from there, a
- 18:48Trista: business and done all of these things, taking care of herself, decided what was right, decided what she wanted, decided what she needed, and went after it.
- 19:01Trista: But she was telling herself a story That if you had n- not known where she was and what she had done That she had never done any of those things and was incapable of them.
- 19:16Trista: But she had done remarkable things, really important, big things, really scary things, hard things And I believe this is true for each and every one of us.
- 19:30Trista: We've all done things that would've intimidated other people, that other people would think they couldn't do, and you can find that evidence in your life.
- 19:46Trista: But your brain is dismissing it.
- 19:47Trista: Your brain is making it small and unimportant.
- 19:50Trista: Your brain has forgotten about it, and your work is to take the time and push it and remind yourself because you have survived.
- 20:03Trista: You have made a difficult decision.
- 20:05Trista: You have figured something out when you didn't know what to do.
- 20:09Trista: You've survived a decision you regretted.
- 20:12Trista: You've handled disappointment.
- 20:15Trista: You've done something you were afraid to do.
- 20:17Trista: You've changed your mind when you realized something wasn't right for you.
- 20:22Trista: And it's there.
- 20:24Trista: And it's really interesting because now you can have another pile of evidence You want to take a look at that.
- 20:32Trista: You want to question your stories, question your assumptions.
- 20:38Trista: What else might be true about you?
- 20:42Trista: Maybe you're more capable than you've been giving yourself credit for.
- 20:45Trista: Maybe confidence isn't something you're born with, but that you can build, you can access.
- 20:53Trista: Maybe you are good at handling difficult things.
- 20:57Trista: Maybe your past decisions don't determine your future decisions.
- 21:02Trista: Maybe you can trust yourself Maybe you can become someone you've never been before And maybe you have absolutely no idea what you're capable of yet.
- 21:16Trista: How cool is that?
- 21:17Trista: I love that thought.
- 21:20Trista: I have absolutely no idea what I'm capable of yet.
- 21:26Trista: I love that And it's true How could we possibly know?
- 21:34Trista: And I will tell you that becoming her, becoming that greatest version of yourself, it may feel a little terrible at first.
- 21:41Trista: It's scary.
- 21:43Trista: It's uncomfortable.
- 21:45Trista: There's a lot of uncertainty.
- 21:46Trista: There's a lot of risk.
- 21:48Trista: Yeah, people won't always tell you that.
- 21:51Trista: Becoming the next version of yourself doesn't necessarily feel like rainbows and daisies every day.
- 21:58Trista: Sometimes it feels awful.
- 21:59Trista: Sometimes it feels awkward and uncomfortable, and you'll feel exposed.
- 22:05Trista: And you might think, "Who do I think I am?"
- 22:08Trista: Or, "What the heck am I doing?"
- 22:12Trista: Of course.
- 22:14Trista: You've spent years practicing being the current version of you.
- 22:17Trista: It makes sense.
- 22:19Trista: She's easy.
- 22:20Trista: She's familiar.
- 22:20Trista: You know her.
- 22:21Trista: You know what she thinks.
- 22:22Trista: You know what she's scared of.
- 22:23Trista: You know what she avoids.
- 22:25Trista: You know what she tolerates.
- 22:27Trista: You know how to do all of it.
- 22:29Trista: You don't even have to think.
- 22:30Trista: You just do it But you can decide, "I'm going to become a woman who trusts herself.
- 22:39Trista: I'm gonna be someone who makes decisions quickly, without regret.
- 22:45Trista: I'm gonna be the woman who lets herself be seen.
- 22:49Trista: I'm gonna go after what I want."
- 22:53Trista: And your brain is gonna say, "We don't do that.
- 22:57Trista: Come on.
- 22:58Trista: That's crazy."
- 23:00Trista: Exactly.
- 23:02Trista: Maybe we don't do that yet, and that's the work.
- 23:07Trista: That's the work.
- 23:09Trista: The unfamiliarity doesn't mean you're being fake.
- 23:12Trista: It doesn't mean it's not important.
- 23:18Trista: It doesn't mean that it's not possible.
- 23:20Trista: It may simply mean you're practicing someone who you haven't been yet.
- 23:26Trista: And I really want you to hear that because we will interpret discomfort as evidence that something is wrong But I would tell you that nothing has gone wrong.
- 23:37Trista: You're simply outside the identity you've rehearsed for the last 10, 20, 30, or 50 years.
- 23:44Trista: Of course it feels strange.
- 23:47Trista: You don't become her by waiting to believe.
- 23:52Trista: You have to do the work.
- 23:54Trista: And this is where we get stuck, because you think once you believe, once you're confident, once you're certain, you'll do the thing, you'll decide, you'll start, you'll put yourself out there But it doesn't work like that, unfortunately.
- 24:13Trista: You have to start creating the evidence before you fully believe.
- 24:17Trista: You take the action, you freak out, you regulate yourself, you allow the discomfort, and then you take another action.
- 24:24Trista: You survive, your brain notices, and you do it again.
- 24:28Trista: And eventually, your brain and your identity begin to catch up.
- 24:33Trista: And this is why we talk about identity so much now.
- 24:36Trista: It's not that you simply decide one morning, "I'm confident now."
- 24:44Trista: You practice it.
- 24:45Trista: Practice all of the things you wanna become, one small action at a time And slowly you accumulate the evidence You slowly build that belief Until one day, the thing that once felt completely unnatural becomes, "This is just who
- 25:09Trista: I am now.
- 25:10Trista: I am just a coach.
- 25:12Trista: I am just an entrepreneur.
- 25:14Trista: I am a podcaster I am on social media.
- 25:19Trista: I am doing these things I never thought was possible, and they felt absolutely horrendous at the beginning.
- 25:27Trista: Don't think anybody skips that step.
- 25:32Trista: And that's how identity changes So let's argue for your greatness.
- 25:40Trista: Remind yourself every single day.
- 25:42Trista: Look for evidence of it.
- 25:45Trista: I'm gonna give you something very simple to do this week.
- 25:48Trista: Pick one limitation you've been arguing for, just one.
- 25:53Trista: Maybe you're not confident, you're indecisive, you're not disciplined, you're not ready, you can't change, you don't know what you want, you're not good enough, whatever it is.
- 26:04Trista: Write it down, and then imagine you've been hired as a lawyer for the opposing side.
- 26:12Trista: Your job is to build the case for your greatness.
- 26:17Trista: Find the evidence, 'cause it's there, I promise you.
- 26:21Trista: Where have you been brave?
- 26:22Trista: Where have you figured something out?
- 26:24Trista: Where have you changed?
- 26:25Trista: Where have you surprised yourself?
- 26:27Trista: Where have you been resourceful?
- 26:30Trista: Where have you made a difficult decision?
- 26:33Trista: Where have you started again?
- 26:37Trista: Where have you been scared and done it anyway?
- 26:39Trista: Don't dismiss any of it.
- 26:41Trista: Build your case, and then ask yourself, "If I argued for my greatness today, what would I do?
- 26:50Trista: How would I show up?
- 26:51Trista: What would my energy be?
- 26:52Trista: What small action can I take?"
- 26:55Trista: Not next year, not when you're more confident, today, so you can send the email, make the call, book the trip, say no, say yes, apply, publish, post, ask, start, stop, decide Maybe it's tiny, and that's great.
- 27:15Trista: That's perfectly fine.
- 27:18Trista: Because what I want you to understand is that your brain will continue presenting evidence from your past Your assignment is to start creating evidence for your future.
- 27:32Trista: Who could you become?
- 27:35Trista: Who do you want to become?
- 27:38Trista: Not because there isn't anything wrong with her, but because there's more available.
- 27:47Trista: What if there's a version of you who trusts herself deeply, who takes the action, who doesn't agonize over every decision?
- 27:58Trista: Who can feel fear without letting fear run her life.
- 28:02Trista: Who understands her emotions without being pushed around by them.
- 28:07Trista: Who knows how to calm her nervous system when things feel uncertain.
- 28:12Trista: Who stops asking everyone else for permission.
- 28:16Trista: Who knows what she wants and can be honest with herself to say it, even if it's just to herself Who backs herself, who's willing to be seen, who makes a decision and moves on, who doesn't need certainty before
- 28:36Trista: she begins, who isn't spending the next chapter of her life trying to prove that all the conclusions she made about herself in the last chapter were correct And so that her future is just more of the same.
- 28:52Trista: Imagine what becomes possible from there, because that woman isn't going to appear one morning.
- 28:58Trista: You do the work.
- 29:00Trista: You create her And this is exactly the work that I'm doing on myself, and it is exactly the work I do with women privately one-to-one.
- 29:12Trista: I've created a focused six-session private coaching program designed to help you understand what's actually keeping you stuck and begin changing it.
- 29:23Trista: And I wanna be clear, this isn't six weeks of sitting around talking about your problems.
- 29:28Trista: We're going to work.
- 29:30Trista: We start by identifying the patterns you're currently creating, the thoughts, the beliefs, the behaviors that keep producing the same results.
- 29:40Trista: Then we work on emotional authority because your life changes dramatically when you're no longer terrified of feeling uncomfortable You can handle the fear.
- 29:51Trista: You can handle the doubt.
- 29:53Trista: You can handle the uncertainty We work with your nervous system so you know what to do when fear, uncertainty, and overwhelm shows up, and they will show up And we work on identity, who you've been and who you
- 30:09Trista: believe you are, and most importantly, who you want to become.
- 30:14Trista: We build confidence and self-trust, and then we bring it into the decisions and actions so you're not simply understanding yourself better, you're moving.
- 30:24Trista: I want you to imagine six sessions from now It's not about waking up as a completely different human being.
- 30:32Trista: You're still you.
- 30:34Trista: But imagine understanding yourself in a completely different way.
- 30:38Trista: Imagine recognizing the old pattern before automatically following it.
- 30:44Trista: Imagine feeling fear and knowing, "I can handle this," and you know what to do Imagine not needing everyone else to tell you you're making the right decision.
- 30:57Trista: Imagine trusting yourself enough to choose.
- 31:01Trista: And imagine knowing how to calm yourself instead of immediately abandoning what you want and dismissing it, or pretending that you don't know what you want really.
- 31:12Trista: You're no longer thinking, "There's something wrong with me.
- 31:16Trista: Why can't I figure this out?
- 31:17Trista: I feel stuck."
- 31:21Trista: You'll have tools you can use for the rest of your life and skills you're beginning to build that will completely change the way you show up in every aspect of your life.
- 31:33Trista: And imagine beginning to see yourself not through the evidence of everything you've done before but through the possibility of everything you could create next.
- 31:47Trista: That's the transformation I'm interested in.
- 31:51Trista: It's not about becoming fearless.
- 31:53Trista: It's becoming the woman who knows how to handle fear.
- 31:57Trista: It's not never doubting yourself It's about knowing what to do when the doubt arrives.
- 32:06Trista: And you don't have to have everything figured out about your future, but you want to trust yourself enough to take the next step and know that you can figure it out and that you're excited about it.
- 32:21Trista: Because when you can do those things Your life gets much bigger.
- 32:28Trista: Possibilities open up that you could never have imagined Things you thought maybe would be nice become reality.
- 32:41Trista: And if you're listening to this and thinking, "This is exactly where I am, and I'm tired of thinking about changing, and I want some help actually doing it," let's talk.
- 32:51Trista: I offer a complimentary private 30-minute consultation with me, just you and me.
- 32:58Trista: We'll look at where you are now, what keeps happening, what you want instead, and what may actually be standing between the two.
- 33:07Trista: And if my six-session private coaching program is a good fit, I'll explain exactly how we can work together.
- 33:14Trista: You don't have to commit to anything to have the conversation.
- 33:18Trista: I want you to consider this.
- 33:21Trista: What could change if you stopped spending so much energy arguing for why you can't and started discovering who you could become?
- 33:31Trista: I promise you, you don't know what you're capable of yet, and neither do I.
- 33:38Trista: I'm figuring it out every single day, and I think that's fantastic.
- 33:42Trista: I think it's the best work I've ever done I am grateful every single day that I've learned how to do this work, and I can't wait To see what we can create, what you can create, what I can
- 33:59Trista: create.
- 34:00Trista: Let's change the world.
- 34:03Trista: Let's find out So the link to book your consultation is in the show notes And until next time, stop building such a convincing case for your limitations.
