In this first lesson through Deuteronomy, we’re invited to behold the Lord our God by looking closely at who He is, remembering what He has done, and trusting where He is leading.
As Moses prepares a new generation of Israelites to enter the Promised Land, he reminds them of God’s faithfulness throughout their wilderness journey, the consequences of unbelief, and the importance of listening to God’s voice. Through Israel’s story and a personal testimony of God’s faithfulness, we’re challenged to consider what has our attention, affection, and trust.
