Lucas: And you have. Today we're tackling a situation nobody loves but everyone needs: going to the dentist. Luna: Oh no. I hate the dentist. But okay, let's do this. What's the first phrase? Lucas: When you arrive and have a problem, you'd say: Jag har ont i tanden. Luna: Jag har ont i tanden. That means 'I have a toothache', right? Lucas: Exactly. Jag har ont i tanden. Let's say it together: Jag har ont i tanden. Luna: Jag har ont i tanden. That's not too hard. Now what does the dentist say? Lucas: The dentist will often ask you to open your mouth: Öppna munnen. Luna: Öppna munnen. Open your mouth. I can do that. Öppna munnen. Lucas: Good. Then after looking, they might say: Du har ett hål. That means 'You have a cavity'. Luna: Du har ett hål. Oh, I hope I never hear that. Du har ett hål. Lucas: If you need a filling, you might ask: Behöver jag bedövning? — 'Do I need anesthesia?' Luna: Behöver jag bedövning? That's a mouthful. Behöver jag bedövning? Lucas: Almost perfect. Try it a bit slower: Behöver jag bedövning? Luna: Behöver jag bedövning? Yeah, I think I got it. And finally, if it hurts, you'd say: Det gör ont här. Lucas: Exactly. Det gör ont här. That means 'It hurts here'. Let's practice all five in a row. I'll say them, you repeat. Luna: Okay, I'm ready. Lucas: Jag har ont i tanden. Luna: Jag har ont i tanden. Lucas: Öppna munnen. Luna: Öppna munnen. Lucas: Du har ett hål. Luna: Du har ett hål. Lucas: Behöver jag bedövning? Luna: Behöver jag bedövning? Lucas: Det gör ont här. Luna: Det gör ont här. Okay, I think I've got them. Let's imagine a scene. Lucas: Great idea. So you're at the dentist. You say: Jag har ont i tanden. Luna: Jag har ont i tanden. Then the dentist says: Öppna munnen. Lucas: Öppna munnen. Then after examining: Du har ett hål. Luna: Du har ett hål. So I ask: Behöver jag bedövning? Lucas: And they say: Ja, det gör ont.
