- 0:00[SPEAKER_02]: Happy Tuesday and welcome live to the Big Play Cleveland Show, Jack O'Rourke alongside Chef Sey and Max Slob.
- 0:06[SPEAKER_02]: Sey said, not a happy Tuesday, you're the young one.
- 0:08[SPEAKER_02]: My happy Tuesday.
- 0:09[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, happy Tuesday.
- 0:10[SPEAKER_03]: My, uh, buddy.
- 0:11[SPEAKER_02]: No?
- 0:11[SPEAKER_02]: We got to look forward to this week on, right?
- 0:16[SPEAKER_01]: No, someone once told me, someone once told me every day above ground and vertical is a good day.
- 0:20[SPEAKER_01]: It's a good day.
- 0:21[SPEAKER_01]: They people said that, right?
- 0:22[SPEAKER_01]: Bar, maybe.
- 0:23[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, that was a good day.
- 0:24[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, yeah, every day above ground is a good day.
- 0:26[SPEAKER_02]: Believe that or something like that.
- 0:27[SPEAKER_02]: Guys, let's talk about the Cleveland Browns, 34 to 10 lost to the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday.
- 0:33[SPEAKER_02]: Before we get into this weekend against Tampa Bay, the Baker Bowl coming up for the Browns.
- 0:38[SPEAKER_02]: Guys, first, just your initial thoughts from what the Browns did this past Sunday.
- 0:44[SPEAKER_01]: You want to go first, you want me to go first?
- 0:45[SPEAKER_03]: We got to talk about this game.
- 0:47[SPEAKER_03]: Say the end of the game.
- 0:48[SPEAKER_03]: Just even talk about, we asked, right?
- 0:51[SPEAKER_03]: It was sad.
- 0:52[SPEAKER_03]: No, it was sad.
- 0:53[SPEAKER_03]: This was sad.
- 0:54[SPEAKER_03]: We've watched a lot of pathetic games.
- 0:56[SPEAKER_03]: And I don't know what it is about.
- 0:59[SPEAKER_03]: week one losses, but there is no like in between week one losses.
- 1:06[SPEAKER_03]: You think back to the Titans game where they beat the piss out of us at home.
- 1:09[SPEAKER_03]: You think back to the Carson Wentz era when they beat the piss out of us at home.
- 1:13[SPEAKER_03]: You think back to the Dallas Cowboys when they beat the piss out of us at home.
- 1:17[SPEAKER_03]: You and all this game where they beat the piss out of us.
- 1:20[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know what it is with week one game, but for some reason, man.
- 1:24[SPEAKER_03]: They just look unprepared.
- 1:27[SPEAKER_03]: They look unmotivated.
- 1:28[SPEAKER_03]: Zero sense of urgency, um, no, I don't know what they were talking about.
- 1:33[SPEAKER_03]: This whole team built on violence thing with the defense.
- 1:36[SPEAKER_03]: There wasn't a shred of violence out there.
- 1:39[SPEAKER_03]: I messed up.
- 1:39[SPEAKER_03]: Um, but, uh, yeah, that was probably one of the worst games we've watched in recent years.
- 1:45[SPEAKER_03]: And we watched Kevin's defense key coach 15.8 points per game for the past two years.
- 1:49[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it's weird.
- 1:50[SPEAKER_01]: It walking into this game, you felt like they're browns.
- 1:53[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe at a small shot because the defense could keep it close.
- 1:57[SPEAKER_01]: That was more surprising to me than the offensive performance because I walked in looking at the Jaguar's run defense.
- 2:02[SPEAKER_01]: How good they were last year.
- 2:03[SPEAKER_01]: And it was like, the Sean Watson's probably going to be in a bunch of third and mediums, the third and longs.
- 2:08[SPEAKER_01]: It's probably not going to work out.
- 2:09[SPEAKER_01]: I thought at least the defense could play tight man coverage and hold them.
- 2:12[SPEAKER_01]: It's like 23 points.
- 2:15[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, not the case.
- 2:16[SPEAKER_01]: It was 38 minutes into the game and the Jaguar's at 31 points.
- 2:20[SPEAKER_02]: Like that is insane.
- 2:21[SPEAKER_02]: Let me ask you guys about this because so Taylor and I discussed this on the post game show on Sunday.
- 2:26[SPEAKER_02]: If you came into week one and the offense later done in the defense was solid and you lost 23 to 10.
- 2:32[SPEAKER_02]: You'd be like, okay, but this is kind of maybe what I expected as you just said Max and Jaguars have a pretty damn good offense defense.
- 2:38[SPEAKER_02]: First time with the new DC held it together.
- 2:41[SPEAKER_02]: Miles has gone, okay.
- 2:43[SPEAKER_02]: It's kind of a different animal if you give up 34 points while also that offense kind of does out like everyone expected it to.
- 2:49[SPEAKER_02]: How much more worried are you guys about the Browns after one week, knowing that, hey, that defensive performance was not even as you said say like a shred of what we thought it was going to be?
- 2:58[SPEAKER_03]: I'm more worried about the guy that I've been trying to give credit where we've biggered about back and forth and Jimmy has him in this front office.
- 3:10[SPEAKER_03]: How many times have I set up here and tried to give Jimmy a benefit of the doubt or I felt like he was keeping his hand out of the cookie jar.
- 3:19[SPEAKER_03]: It feels like that's, he went back into the jar.
- 3:23[SPEAKER_03]: He made the cookies, re-liked the bowl and everything like.
- 3:27[SPEAKER_03]: It feels like we have another puppet on our hands and it's frustrating because
- 3:33[SPEAKER_03]: I do still believe Todd can do some things to I like I'm not ready I'm nowhere near ready to not buy into what Todd has to offer but like it doesn't look like anything that they've been telling us this entire lawsuit it was literally the complete opposite.
- 3:50[SPEAKER_02]: Max, did you get the chance to hear Todd Munkin's pressure yesterday?
- 3:52[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, what were your takeaways?
- 3:54[SPEAKER_02]: Because in a way, and again, I don't know Todd Munkin, I can't just guess everything about the guy.
- 4:00[SPEAKER_02]: I kind of felt like he got pretty damn defensive when Tony Grocey asked him a question about what what are the players think?
- 4:07[SPEAKER_02]: Are you sure the players are 100% behind it to Sean and Todd Munkin's like, hey, it's my ship.
- 4:11[SPEAKER_02]: I don't care if they're behind it to Sean or not.
- 4:13[SPEAKER_02]: Did that answer kind of at a minimum
- 4:17[SPEAKER_01]: I think it projected a lack of confidence, potentially within the locker room in the Shawn Watson for sure, but like, obviously we're not in the locker room, we don't play for the Cleveland Browns, at least not yet, right, we say that one day.
- 4:27[SPEAKER_01]: Like, you can probably tell just from watching the past couple of years guys who have been there and granted that there's not a ton of Browns who have been here through most of the Shawn Watson experience in Cleveland, like how could you be confident in
- 4:39[SPEAKER_01]: that, right?
- 4:40[SPEAKER_01]: Like, how could you be confident based off of past production?
- 4:42[SPEAKER_01]: I think the biggest thing in that press conference that, well, I guess two things.
- 4:46[SPEAKER_01]: Number one, I think a lot of browns fans kind of felt it was almost like a slap in the face to be like, no, like, this is our guy or like, lean away from this.
- 4:55[SPEAKER_01]: I think it's much less about that overall and much more about the state of the team after week one.
- 5:02[SPEAKER_01]: Like, the fact that we're even talking about
- 5:04[SPEAKER_01]: potential lack of confidence in the locker room, Todd Munkin saying, I don't remember the exact quote, but pretty much saying it like, hey, this is, you know, my ship is extremely worried.
- 5:14[SPEAKER_01]: So I don't know if you guys saw the Ronnie Hickman, I think it was Ronnie Hickman thing.
- 5:17[SPEAKER_01]: Well, it's both my pay grade.
- 5:18[SPEAKER_01]: Which like, like, yes, asking a safety about a quarterback on your team is a hundred percent above his pay grade, but like, the fact that it's not like, you know, we believe in our quarterback.
- 5:29[SPEAKER_01]: Instead, it's about my pay grade talk somebody else.
- 5:32[SPEAKER_01]: It does make you ask questions.
- 5:34[SPEAKER_01]: I just think there's so many more questions that are being asked about this team after week one.
- 5:39[SPEAKER_01]: And I thought, walking out a week one, we just weren't going to ask a lot of questions regardless because it was going to be ugly.
- 5:44[SPEAKER_01]: I thought it was going to be ugly.
- 5:45[SPEAKER_01]: It was ugly or than I thought.
- 5:46[SPEAKER_01]: I'm about you guys.
- 5:46[SPEAKER_02]: It will be made a great point as well about a lot of these guys not even being around for the whole to Sean Watson era.
- 5:52[SPEAKER_02]: Casey concepts, you almost a software in high school the last time Sean Watson was good in the NFL.
- 5:56[SPEAKER_02]: It's crazy.
- 5:56[SPEAKER_02]: It's not a little bit nuts.
- 5:58[SPEAKER_02]: Let's talk about the Sean Watson though.
- 5:59[SPEAKER_02]: Now, coming off of that heroin.
- 6:01[SPEAKER_03]: about some, and you, and you, and let me get my thought out.
- 6:04[SPEAKER_03]: You jumped right in.
- 6:05[SPEAKER_03]: What is it?
- 6:05[SPEAKER_03]: It was something with the tie thing.
- 6:07[SPEAKER_03]: Um, it is.
- 6:08[SPEAKER_03]: Sorry.
- 6:09[SPEAKER_03]: That's a whole, it, like, the, the whole, uh,
- 6:13[SPEAKER_03]: the the the the damn I really lost it and I really come back to where we're going to be on top of them because it was with it was with the whole like the quarterback thing oh the captain's the weekly captain's yes this the whole weekly captain's thing and then your it's Ronnie Hickman comes out and talks about it's above my pay grade is it like and then you tell us
- 6:34[SPEAKER_03]: a month and a half ago two months ago that players decide who plays and the players will let us know who the leaders are and all of the stuff.
- 6:41[SPEAKER_03]: But then you say, well, no, it's not about, it's not your choice, it's my choice about what's going on.
- 6:47[SPEAKER_03]: So like he's very hypocritical and what he's been telling us versus what the actions are playing are telling us and I just think that that's crazy how
- 6:56[SPEAKER_03]: we're already starting to see the divide week one I don't even want to even call it a divide but usually players will give their stamp of approval for their head guy aka the quarterback that was not a stamp of approval from your starting safety and granted Ronnie Hickley probably doesn't have a lot to talk about because he got cook yesterday as well but yeah and it's also like
- 7:17[SPEAKER_01]: I hate when people like any time you get a chance to ask somebody on the team, especially on the defensive side of the ball, like, oh, how do you feel about your quarterback?
- 7:24[SPEAKER_01]: Come on, like that's not, not their battle to fight fully at least, but I want to ask you guys along that point if I were to say,
- 7:31[SPEAKER_02]: longest 10 year browns when you think about faces of the Cleveland Browns who's the first name or names that come to mind right now not a captain week one not a captain week yeah like is that crazy weekly captains that is a well-nask you you brought the word earlier i i i i and i may be i may be wrong correct me if i wrong you do not say this word i want to put away any words into your mouth i believe you through the word puppet out a couple minutes ago is that correct yeah are you at all worried that there would be a little gym handson
- 8:03[SPEAKER_03]: I've talked about on this show how I wish I want to see how big Todd stones are.
- 8:10[SPEAKER_03]: You get one opportunity, right?
- 8:12[SPEAKER_03]: You get one opportunity to be a head coach and he's probably only gonna get one.
- 8:17[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 8:18[SPEAKER_03]: And if I'm Todd and it already feels as if his strings are being pulled and if his hands behind his back.
- 8:26[SPEAKER_03]: How crazy would it be for him to bet on his self and go against the grain?
- 8:32[SPEAKER_03]: Are the if I'm tied I'm looking are you gonna fire me if I go ahead and bench the shine after week one?
- 8:39[SPEAKER_03]: Are you gonna fire me like if anything I mean Freddie made it what Freddie made it how long
- 8:51[SPEAKER_02]: I know, Greg took a, Greg took over here, Greg took over here.
- 8:54[SPEAKER_02]: Greg took over here.
- 8:55[SPEAKER_02]: I do think Freddy got through.
- 8:57[SPEAKER_03]: So he made it through.
- 8:58[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, he might just be in the end of the tunnel.
- 8:59[SPEAKER_03]: So if I'm looking at it like this, if I'm Todd and Muckin' and I believe in what I got, and you know, a lot of the reports are saying that it feels like everyone thinks that Todd wanted Shidorah.
- 9:11[SPEAKER_03]: What what's the worst thing that could happen to me other than I'll never get another opportunity to be a coach what you already feel like you're not going to get that anyway And are you gonna fire me midway through the season if anything you're going to be able to collect a check for four years after you get fired if that's the case anyway so if I'm tied I want to be like you know what
- 9:30[SPEAKER_03]: Well, put y'all talking about I'm playing who I want to play.
- 9:33[SPEAKER_03]: I'm playing my quarterback and we're going to do this my way and I don't feel like we're getting that right now And I'm going to be that from the defense aside of the ball leader.
- 9:41[SPEAKER_03]: It all feels calculated and that's what that's why I'm so confused like we can be bad We're not that bad what we saw this past and I can't buy that
- 9:51[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think the Browns will be that bad all season, but I also do think it speaks to a team's preparedness week one when you have 11 penalties, like that's crazy.
- 9:59[SPEAKER_03]: That's the operation isn't that the hot thing going around right now, operations.
- 10:02[SPEAKER_02]: And another hot thing, right, you talked about, wasn't like sure Sanders wasn't supposed to play this here, too.
- 10:06[SPEAKER_02]: Took the words out of my mouth.
- 10:07[SPEAKER_02]: Yes.
- 10:07[SPEAKER_01]: you talk about week one like the Sean Watson being more pro ready it may be like I'd have to see the percentage of offensive versus defensive you know penalties and all of that and who knows what it would look like if she doorstanders out there but like you watched a lay of games all this stuff i believe it's third and two
- 10:23[SPEAKER_01]: at the two yard line and it was a delay again, like how does that happen?
- 10:28[SPEAKER_01]: How do you go time out?
- 10:29[SPEAKER_03]: So even going on top of that, you get the full start penalty into a delay of game penalty.
- 10:36[SPEAKER_03]: How do you do that?
- 10:36[SPEAKER_03]: You want to play after you get a penalty into a delay of game?
- 10:41[SPEAKER_03]: Do you know how unprepared you have to be from that crazy app.
- 10:44[SPEAKER_03]: That is crazy.
- 10:45[SPEAKER_01]: First, I was first in 30, you gain yardage and then you wind up in a second and 34.
- 10:50[SPEAKER_01]: That's nuts.
- 10:51[SPEAKER_02]: and the show yesterday and he was preaching that he thinks the Browns and practice hard enough in the office and do you guys have any disagreements with that right I have big disagreements I also disagree it's also like yeah I mean I disagree no yeah I have disagreements with that because I've heard the complete opposite I've heard that there may have been
- 11:09[SPEAKER_03]: to it may have been too hard like or or two physical or two something along those lines.
- 11:17[SPEAKER_03]: But I almost just think it's one of those things where you're dealing with people now, especially in today's society, where these dudes on the football field can smell BS a mile away.
- 11:28[SPEAKER_03]: And if
- 11:30[SPEAKER_03]: what we all feel or what we're witnessing feels like BS you think the player's in a locker room aren't feeling this type of BS that's going on in there like this is why it's almost just bigger than the X's and O's and it's bigger than just the players on the field like there is something culturally wrong with the Cleveland Browns organization as a whole owner and it might it's probably the owner and then it goes straight down from there all the way to
- 11:55[SPEAKER_02]: probably like guy number.
- 11:56[SPEAKER_02]: No, there's like 15 cool dudes on the roster.
- 11:58[SPEAKER_02]: Then a couple couple of ones left over.
- 12:00[SPEAKER_02]: Let's talk about looking for it now, guys, though.
- 12:03[SPEAKER_02]: So it's reported yesterday.
- 12:05[SPEAKER_02]: I forget the exact wording it was, because time don't could didn't say that the Sean was for sure starting.
- 12:09[SPEAKER_02]: He's like, he expects him to start or something like that.
- 12:11[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, that means.
- 12:12[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 12:13[SPEAKER_03]: What?
- 12:14[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, the conversations were had.
- 12:16[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, okay, that means it's a little open.
- 12:17[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, yeah, at least that I thought was going to be 10 to 11.
- 12:20[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, hell no, at least ain't that long.
- 12:22[SPEAKER_03]: Okay, it's impossible.
- 12:23[SPEAKER_02]: Let's talk about it then.
- 12:25[SPEAKER_02]: Should, to Sean Watson start Sunday against Tampa Bay.
- 12:28[SPEAKER_02]: Not will he as he should, to Sean Watson be QB one this weekend.
- 12:31[SPEAKER_02]: No.
- 12:32[SPEAKER_01]: Should he know like you talk but seriously like you talk about all offseason like You go back and forth.
- 12:38[SPEAKER_01]: There's good things.
- 12:39[SPEAKER_01]: There's bad things in the preseason, but the thing that continually drove to Sean Watson above Shidorah Sanders a big reason we all sat here throughout the summer and said It's his job to lose which I do agree with it was absolutely his job to lose was the fact that he might be more Pro-ready ready to step into a game week one
- 12:57[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know how you watched that all the pre-snaps stuff and say he was at least some what ready.
- 13:04[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think he was and I don't think it's crazy to watch that and say he wasn't ready.
- 13:09[SPEAKER_01]: And even like let's say Shidorah Sanders starts week two and God forbid has more pre-snaps penalties.
- 13:15[SPEAKER_01]: Right?
- 13:16[SPEAKER_01]: What if that happens?
- 13:17[SPEAKER_01]: I think you're still probably getting some explosive plays.
- 13:19[SPEAKER_01]: I think the team is getting the jolt after falling flat on their face week one.
- 13:25[SPEAKER_01]: My question.
- 13:26[SPEAKER_01]: Why should he start?
- 13:27[SPEAKER_01]: We too.
- 13:28[SPEAKER_01]: That's that's an academic question.
- 13:29[SPEAKER_01]: I can answer.
- 13:29[SPEAKER_01]: I think that's an easier question for me to answer.
- 13:31[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 13:32[SPEAKER_01]: Why should you answer?
- 13:33[SPEAKER_03]: Because you would have wasted another entire off season on nothing.
- 13:41[SPEAKER_03]: You would have always because you, but with this entire offseason preparing for a quarterback just to bench his ass two weeks in what was the point of going through that we just did that last year We literally just did it and it didn't work like that's the one thing that bothers me is because it's like to us point.
- 13:58[SPEAKER_03]: It's like we almost had we made the bed.
- 14:00[SPEAKER_03]: We got to lay in it We almost got at least see it through
- 14:04[SPEAKER_03]: Let me just get me through four games where we waste the more it's like we've wasted the key to battle then though.
- 14:12[SPEAKER_03]: That's my point though.
- 14:13[SPEAKER_01]: We wasted it.
- 14:14[SPEAKER_01]: It shouldn't have been a quarterback battle.
- 14:15[SPEAKER_01]: Two things.
- 14:16[SPEAKER_01]: I want to stop before games.
- 14:17[SPEAKER_01]: I would be utterly floored up to Sean if something like the Browns play poorly offensively week two and I'd be utterly floored if you start.
- 14:24[SPEAKER_01]: I agree.
- 14:24[SPEAKER_03]: I'm with you.
- 14:25[SPEAKER_01]: I'm with you.
- 14:26[SPEAKER_01]: No, I agree with you.
- 14:27[SPEAKER_01]: But
- 14:28[SPEAKER_01]: the browns the other thing the browns have been laying in this bed since they traded for the Sean Watson so like at some point you got to get out of the bed the alarms going off you can only hit too many times right but this so did you watch the film yet because I know your film was his film that bad that
- 14:45[SPEAKER_03]: I didn't watch a game because you look at the box for 16 or 22.
- 14:51[SPEAKER_03]: He threw for 200 some yards.
- 14:52[SPEAKER_03]: Obviously that 50 are bomb at the garbage time to Denzo Bost and his property.
- 14:56[SPEAKER_03]: First policy victory.
- 14:57[SPEAKER_03]: You know I'm big three down 30 whatever it was.
- 15:00[SPEAKER_03]: But how bad was it to a point where is he like how much of the pie of the blame is it for Deshawn?
- 15:08[SPEAKER_03]: For the offensive for the team.
- 15:10[SPEAKER_01]: I mean this is a team game right if I had to assign a it's hard to assign number But I think he is most to blame on the probably most to blame on the offense I thought I didn't think the offensive line played well either like I that was a New offensive line and we said going on the road into an environment that's maybe not consider hostile if you physically Of less seats than your normal you know seating would be but against a really good defensive line a team That's gonna stop up the run like I think the I didn't
- 15:37[SPEAKER_01]: I don't really think a lot of people playing well, but I think he was probably the biggest piece of the blame pie offensively.
- 15:42[SPEAKER_01]: And I think when you're a quarterback and you're not taking care of the ball, I also think this could have been way worse like the dropped interception.
- 15:49[SPEAKER_01]: It was, I think it falls most on him.
- 15:52[SPEAKER_01]: I also do think it very much falls on the offensive game plan.
- 15:55[SPEAKER_03]: I was just going to say, how much of this goes to Todd, because I look at it like this.
- 15:59[SPEAKER_03]: You think about how many times we've said Kevin's defense, he hadn't utilized his talents at the best of their abilities.
- 16:05[SPEAKER_03]: I don't feel like Todd put anyone in position to really succeed.
- 16:09[SPEAKER_03]: Like what happened to all the K.C.
- 16:11[SPEAKER_03]: concepts, you don't get him to ball early.
- 16:13[SPEAKER_03]: What happened to some of the check downs?
- 16:15[SPEAKER_03]: Like we talked about check downs this entire all season.
- 16:18[SPEAKER_03]: We did, how many check downs did we see this get a city?
- 16:20[SPEAKER_03]: There was literally nothing to get any type of a rhythm established.
- 16:25[SPEAKER_03]: I know Deschon looked, didn't look great.
- 16:27[SPEAKER_03]: But part of that is game plan too.
- 16:28[SPEAKER_03]: Like where was the genius offensive coordinator that we've been, I've been selling you guys on this entire all season.
- 16:35[SPEAKER_01]: I'm with you, but I think so much of the Todd Munkin' offense and the success that comes along with it hinges on the run game.
- 16:42[SPEAKER_01]: Quinn Sean Judd gets at 12 carries for 33 yards.
- 16:45[SPEAKER_01]: He did not have a run longer than five yards.
- 16:48[SPEAKER_01]: You can't allow to Sean Watson, sure centers, whoever is playing quarterback, it is not going to help you at all if you're running game is like that.
- 16:55[SPEAKER_01]: But especially when a guy who is in to Sean Watson and the pocket at happy feet at times can sail passes at times.
- 17:01[SPEAKER_01]: It doesn't make great decisions at times.
- 17:03[SPEAKER_01]: It is magnified when you're in a setting where the Jaguar can get fun on defense.
- 17:06[SPEAKER_01]: They can show you all these different things, even if they're not blitzing.
- 17:09[SPEAKER_01]: They can show you guys a line of scrimmage.
- 17:11[SPEAKER_01]: And now you're disshawing.
- 17:11[SPEAKER_01]: You got to figure out protection here.
- 17:13[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe you got to keep Quinshawn Juggins or whoever in for an extra piece of protection.
- 17:17[SPEAKER_01]: And then you still have to drop back.
- 17:19[SPEAKER_01]: And you drop back.
- 17:20[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know if you guys have seen those clips.
- 17:21[SPEAKER_01]: Drop back.
- 17:22[SPEAKER_01]: So it's like drag on the left joystick.
- 17:24[SPEAKER_01]: Which I do it mad.
- 17:25[SPEAKER_01]: Like I do.
- 17:26[SPEAKER_01]: But this is a mad, right?
- 17:27[SPEAKER_01]: I think.
- 17:28[SPEAKER_01]: The run game, the offensive line did Watson, no favors, but even in the situations where Watson was done, no favors.
- 17:34[SPEAKER_01]: It's not like he elevated like he had in Houston, which was whatever, I don't even know how many years ago at this point.
- 17:38[SPEAKER_01]: Like it's forever.
- 17:40[SPEAKER_01]: It's a loss.
- 17:41[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think it's a loss.
- 17:41[SPEAKER_01]: It's a loss.
- 17:42[SPEAKER_02]: Say, I want to get your pulse on this because I think that you, I mean, obviously, you're not age a Sean guy at all, but at the same time.
- 17:49[SPEAKER_02]: Like according to the solution.
- 17:50[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I'm saying I'm saying I think you can understand both sides of the of the coin better than maybe Max or I tend to when it comes to playing to shout at the Browns Zay let's say the exact same thing happens as last weekend down to the stats 16 225 Tudy and a pick right where the offensive line doesn't look great either Half of that lawyer guy on Twitter is gonna put out a thousand tweets about how Just Sean didn't look bad look bad and it was all the Alliance Falls and then there's me the people who were like never played a Sean Watson again
- 18:20[SPEAKER_02]: If this exact same thing happens next weekend, can you tell me that week three at that stadium like they'll make battle be look like a tea party, right?
- 18:31[SPEAKER_03]: Bro, the they let's see here's the thing though, like I just think that
- 18:37[SPEAKER_03]: Again, this goes back to the the question you had last week where you said of the Sean threw for 400 yards where there still be shit door chatter like I personally don't think that there's anything that the Sean could do to not make it like he's going to get the works regardless like you're getting Mike's hard Mike's way no matter what
- 18:57[SPEAKER_03]: on this sub, like, and he's this extra vinegar.
- 18:59[SPEAKER_02]: You know, extra vinegar.
- 19:01[SPEAKER_02]: This week's tomato was thrown out of nowhere.
- 19:02[SPEAKER_03]: So I mean, like, no matter what he does, week three is going to be a problem.
- 19:08[SPEAKER_03]: Which is why I think it's very interesting that Todd Munkin used the word, he anticipates this shine to start.
- 19:16[SPEAKER_03]: That all sound like confidence to me.
- 19:17[SPEAKER_03]: Does it?
- 19:18[SPEAKER_03]: Like, that's not a word when you're confident in something, you're not saying, hey, I anticipate we're gonna have a good show today.
- 19:24[SPEAKER_03]: Like, damn, what you mean you anticipate?
- 19:26[SPEAKER_03]: You wouldn't I go have a good show today.
- 19:27[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 19:28[SPEAKER_03]: No, we should we don't have a good show like Kevin's defense.
- 19:30[SPEAKER_03]: I mean we city up up here for seven week straight, but during that Achilles season to say nope the Sean gives us the best chance to win The Sean gives us the best chance to win this sounds like a guy who's not too confident that the Sean made make it to week three So who knows if we get the same performance you only put up 10 points that's the other thing we ain't talked about yet the one comment that it was the whole reason why he started was
- 19:52[SPEAKER_03]: He gave us the best chance to move the ball in score point out about that.
- 19:56[SPEAKER_03]: Holy moly guacamole, if you think that that's the case, I advise you to go check out that play by play box score and tell me did we move the ball?
- 20:05[SPEAKER_03]: Because I didn't sure I don't think we scored the ball, right?
- 20:08[SPEAKER_03]: We had a play where we went five plays or three plays minus eight yards.
- 20:15[SPEAKER_03]: Like what?
- 20:15[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 20:16[SPEAKER_02]: Minus eight?
- 20:17[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, no, it was not a good start for our Cleveland football Browns.
- 20:19[SPEAKER_02]: But there were issues out there besides the Sean Watson.
- 20:22[SPEAKER_02]: So we got to talk about those and as well, what was your guys, whether you want to go like by a position group if it's a coaching thing, if it's a a fast to the team, a side of the ball, outside of quarterback.
- 20:32[SPEAKER_02]: What is your guys biggest concern with the brat with this Browns team?
- 20:35[SPEAKER_01]: I've had the same concern with the Browns the last three years.
- 20:37[SPEAKER_01]: It's the slot.
- 20:39[SPEAKER_01]: they cannot cover one of those.
- 20:40[SPEAKER_01]: Oh my gosh, they cannot.
- 20:42[SPEAKER_01]: It's been an issue since 2023, 2024.
- 20:45[SPEAKER_01]: And I get like, you're the Jaguar as Parker Washington versus a lot of nickels in the NFL.
- 20:50[SPEAKER_01]: You're going to like, that's a good matchup for a lot of teams.
- 20:54[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know if it's been magnified more than it's been the past year or so, and what's really crazy is the browns were targeted in the slot at a bottom five rate in the NFL in week one.
- 21:06[SPEAKER_01]: Like, I don't remember these exact numbers, bottom five.
- 21:09[SPEAKER_01]: 25 plus teams frequented to slot that matchup, more than the browns, but you are, we all almost unanimously nodded our head when we when I brought up the slot, you are feeling it that much more despite
- 21:22[SPEAKER_01]: barely being any attempts there.
- 21:24[SPEAKER_01]: That is bad.
- 21:24[SPEAKER_01]: That is really bad.
- 21:26[SPEAKER_02]: I think that's a huge issue.
- 21:27[SPEAKER_02]: Was not a banner day to be my outside in the house.
- 21:29[SPEAKER_03]: Say, I think our problems are lying within everything outside of the X's and O's, bro.
- 21:37[SPEAKER_03]: I think our defensive coordinator has some questions.
- 21:39[SPEAKER_03]: I think Todd, I've got some questions.
- 21:43[SPEAKER_03]: when you look that unprepared it's not just one thing like we've talked about the the secondary like yeah sure okay cool we get Martin members let's just say we go back to Martin members in uh Greg Newsom and Denzel
- 21:59[SPEAKER_03]: This we're still getting dog walked in this game like that one area, I mean, like I think it's one of those things where because I'm watching like I just watched the first 15 minutes Mike Ruttenberg had these dudes playing literally rookie Madden like
- 22:17[SPEAKER_03]: Except we're the CPU on rookie yeah, like there is no one on the screen when they caught the ball.
- 22:22[SPEAKER_03]: There was nothing that we could have done No players were on the like you could have put Trent McDuffie back there.
- 22:29[SPEAKER_03]: You could have a miles Garrett on this line if you were gonna drop back forward or a rush for every single play And have Quincy Williams a guy who probably strength isn't dropping back in cover now every single play
- 22:44[SPEAKER_03]: What do you think is going to happen because all he did was just stand like Ryan could play quarterback.
- 22:48[SPEAKER_03]: You could have played quarterback for the Jag wires.
- 22:51[SPEAKER_03]: This past we can through for two touchdowns with how much time that was back there.
- 22:54[SPEAKER_03]: And then when you didn't have time, good things did happen.
- 22:57[SPEAKER_03]: But that was still a rushing force.
- 22:59[SPEAKER_03]: So I think the problem is bigger than just a position group area.
- 23:04[SPEAKER_03]: The problem is really.
- 23:08[SPEAKER_03]: Like, uh, it, well, how are we going to be schematically?
- 23:11[SPEAKER_01]: You guys, uh, coaching, like, interesting, like, the, the gym Schwartz defense first of all for any, I say anything.
- 23:18[SPEAKER_02]: I think we do really got a victory lap on the gym Schwartz leaving little changes to defense by the way.
- 23:23[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it's, it is week one to good offense, but yes, I mean, analytically sorry Kenny, I can say analytically, it did change the defense for sure, but the reality is, like, you are,
- 23:36[SPEAKER_01]: We don't know how good we had it, watching the Cleveland Browns with Jim Schwartz number one, but the corner room in 23.
- 23:44[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, so good.
- 23:45[SPEAKER_01]: Like having that anchor between the Hashes, and that was Greg Newsom, that anchor between the Hashes, who could,
- 23:52[SPEAKER_01]: who could help you in the run game but would also take away any tip of the spear quicker inside guy you know for the most part that's a real weapon like that's a special thing to have defensively and now it's of it's almost like having Greg Newsom when he was that good on the inside and dropping off after trading him away or actually I guess after he had to bump out to the outside anyways after the injury but like
- 24:14[SPEAKER_01]: It's such, it's such big shoes to fill that I think we're feeling in a little bit more, maybe we're blowing it out of proportion because of how good we had it.
- 24:20[SPEAKER_01]: But the thing is, this Brown's defense walked into this season, playing three-ish years of heavy man covering man, middle field clothes, which they did a ton, they did a ton against the Jaguars, but it was so much less like cover three match where you're literally like if a receiver does anything but go right underneath your covering him essentially, man, I'm in and
- 24:42[SPEAKER_01]: more zone, like forcing Quincy Williams and Carson Swesinger to read and react in the middle of the defense.
- 24:48[SPEAKER_01]: Quincy Williams to me, that is not his fault.
- 24:50[SPEAKER_01]: That's not his thing.
- 24:51[SPEAKER_02]: Go get the ball.
- 24:52[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, exactly.
- 24:52[SPEAKER_01]: And it's tough to be in those situations when the Jaguars have such dynamic pass catchers like this is by no means just a fault of the Brown's defensive scheme.
- 25:01[SPEAKER_01]: Like the Jaguars are a really good team.
- 25:02[SPEAKER_01]: They're a tough team, the prepare for in the past game.
- 25:05[SPEAKER_01]: But when you're putting players in conflict like that over and over and over and over, teams are going to take advantage.
- 25:11[SPEAKER_01]: And I think Denzel Ward was fine.
- 25:13[SPEAKER_01]: Like the guys on the outside are fine, that will almost never be an issue with the Cleveland Browns.
- 25:17[SPEAKER_01]: It's the inside.
- 25:18[SPEAKER_02]: I do want to say Greg News, so I think it was pickings on the outside on Sunday night.
- 25:25[SPEAKER_02]: just dropped a ball I want to say and and he he had he had beaten Greg Newsom by a solid five feet and Greg Newsom is right away just Great brave I'm breaking it up.
- 25:33[SPEAKER_02]: It's I do.
- 25:36[SPEAKER_02]: Let's talk about say you mentioned the past rush though for a second so I think we got into that because Jared verse obviously you had a notably quite day I guess one nice thing to see is Mason Graham got it and got a sack so that was a plus that you're being taken in the last year we had yeah and then couldn't even tell you what happened with the
- 25:55[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, no, not a good day for any, but you know, it just feels, this is why I feel like it felt like a man, you fat, like it felt like it was done on purpose.
- 26:05[SPEAKER_03]: It felt like they literally did everything to not get the most out of their defense of players.
- 26:11[SPEAKER_03]: This team is best when they're flying around, not sitting like ducks and waiting.
- 26:16[SPEAKER_03]: Like did you see the clip?
- 26:17[SPEAKER_03]: Did you see the all 22 clips of Quincy Williams dropping back and Robert just standing there like that's,
- 26:23[SPEAKER_01]: that maybe he looks uncomfortable coach like maybe maybe you don't do that to him which where does he came out like he was he has familiarity with the scheme so that's that's a little weird to me.
- 26:31[SPEAKER_02]: Is it also is one guy who we don't talk about losing enough this offseason.
- 26:35[SPEAKER_03]: Devon Bush from a very fair I just think that we're this one week.
- 26:41[SPEAKER_03]: I'm going to give really a little bit of slack.
- 26:44[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know how long we go, but like when do we get to a point Matt, because you watch film, you're a film guy.
- 26:50[SPEAKER_03]: When do we get to a point where we know what we're going to expect from Roy, because he told us that they're built on violence.
- 26:58[SPEAKER_03]: We went to multiple camps together and sat and watched how this defensive line looked almost like they'd
- 27:05[SPEAKER_03]: picked up where they left off last year and it was almost like it was the complete polar opposite of what we saw and obviously training camp is very different than regular season games we witnessed that this past Sunday but when do we get to a point where we were like okay this is just who ruins defenses do you think that this is what like what his defense is not blitzing zone heavy like that's not what we they told us we were going to get I'll say it better not be because I don't think that plays to the strength of the
- 27:35[SPEAKER_01]: The thing is though, I think number one, looking at the schedule, I don't think the Browns play a pure passing attack as good as Jacksonville until December when they play the Bengals.
- 27:45[SPEAKER_01]: They obviously get the right.
- 27:46[SPEAKER_01]: The ravens between now and then, that's one of the best offensive in the NFL, in terms of pure passing attack, like Jackson might be better.
- 27:52[SPEAKER_01]: regardless, it's really tough to game plan for a team like that.
- 27:56[SPEAKER_01]: What's interesting though is like, I always sit here and I think a lot of people in the media world will say the same thing, like offense gets a lot better when you stay ahead of the chains, when you run the ball, you have a complimentary run game.
- 28:07[SPEAKER_01]: The Jaguars didn't run the ball a lot.
- 28:08[SPEAKER_01]: As I say in the first half.
- 28:10[SPEAKER_01]: So like, I hope the Browns are in situations where they stop up the run, quote unquote, or they have a TFL on first and second down, that allows
- 28:21[SPEAKER_01]: Offences or allows them to be in a position where they can send five and get a one-on-one Maggiard versus whoever it may be I didn't see that though against the dry wars and that that's what really worries me You said you didn't see like we they're we're not gonna face another passing attack I agree with where you're going with that.
- 28:37[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, but where I'm looking at it is it's like
- 28:39[SPEAKER_03]: If you're going to play the same type of defense that we just watched, Baker's going to carve.
- 28:44[SPEAKER_03]: Yes, Baker's going to carve the zone like a pair.
- 28:47[SPEAKER_03]: There's just put up 30 points.
- 28:48[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I do this past week.
- 28:50[SPEAKER_03]: You think Aaron Rogers doesn't know how to, I mean, he's probably one of the best zone pickers to ever play the game.
- 28:57[SPEAKER_01]: Now, like the steel, I don't want to get too far down the AFC North rabbit hole, but the steelers performance against the Falcons.
- 29:03[SPEAKER_01]: You see the 20 points, and obviously like the TJ walk touchdown,
- 29:09[SPEAKER_01]: like that to me that offensive is better than we think.
- 29:12[SPEAKER_03]: They feel like they've been lying to us this entire time.
- 29:17[SPEAKER_03]: They told us they weren't going to go away from the gym short style defense.
- 29:22[SPEAKER_03]: That was not that was nothing.
- 29:24[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, granted.
- 29:25[SPEAKER_03]: No, you know what?
- 29:26[SPEAKER_03]: There was a sliver because sometimes gym shorts defense, they get ran up on.
- 29:30[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 29:30[SPEAKER_03]: 34, we've seen Jim.
- 29:32[SPEAKER_03]: I remember the playoff season is bad.
- 29:34[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, like, no, there were some games last year where there were like, like, people were jumping to the gym source saying, Pock the brakes a little bit, y'all.
- 29:41[SPEAKER_03]: We're calling for gym shores to and and saying where why aren't we blame a gym shores for letting the defense put up that many points.
- 29:46[SPEAKER_03]: So let's not be hindsight 2020 time again here, but let's talk about
- 29:51[SPEAKER_02]: blaming coaches for a second.
- 29:52[SPEAKER_02]: I want to get just get to get a grade for you guys because here we go.
- 29:55[SPEAKER_02]: I put out a graphic on the big play socials yesterday like asking what would you grade Todd Monk in eight after week one and typically on a post like that they'll be like one guy who's like obviously enough shut up and then never know what to like that comment then we're done and call the day but it was so bad that everyone commented off like everyone other way to individually comment off.
- 30:14[SPEAKER_02]: Do you guys agree with that assessment of Todd Monk
- 30:18[SPEAKER_01]: No, I think that's fair.
- 30:19[SPEAKER_01]: Like, even, I don't know if it was an effort.
- 30:22[SPEAKER_01]: Definitely wasn't good though.
- 30:23[SPEAKER_01]: It wasn't.
- 30:24[SPEAKER_01]: We're gonna sit here and be like, you're not passing on class with that.
- 30:27[SPEAKER_01]: I was not satisfactory.
- 30:28[SPEAKER_01]: And I was gonna act like, if you want to bump it up from an F, what would make you do this?
- 30:32[SPEAKER_01]: What's the ceiling, indeed?
- 30:33[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
- 30:34[SPEAKER_01]: Like, I'm just trying to think of it.
- 30:35[SPEAKER_02]: The one moment I was like, hey, I thought it was cool that right after Casey thumbled, they got his ball into a hands try.
- 30:40[SPEAKER_02]: I think it was a jet super and end around right away.
- 30:41[SPEAKER_02]: After I was like, oh, okay, I like getting awesome.
- 30:43[SPEAKER_02]: The young guy, the ball back for his confidence, but that's not really important.
- 30:46[SPEAKER_01]: I was like, yeah, that's a moral victory.
- 30:47[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, that's exactly.
- 30:49[SPEAKER_01]: I almost think the floor is lowered immediately when you want a sign of grade when you have 11 penalties.
- 30:54[SPEAKER_01]: That's like it's crazy.
- 30:56[SPEAKER_03]: You know, that's crazy, but I think you can't even give bro a D, he lost any chance and I'm a Todd guy.
- 31:03[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I am too.
- 31:04[SPEAKER_01]: I love it.
- 31:04[SPEAKER_01]: I love it.
- 31:05[SPEAKER_01]: So I am so much fun this Aussie.
- 31:07[SPEAKER_03]: Bro kicked a field goal down 30.
- 31:10[SPEAKER_03]: That was insane.
- 31:11[SPEAKER_03]: That was insane.
- 31:12[SPEAKER_03]: That was almost as bad as Kevin's to Fansky Pudding at the 30 yard like bro, we down 30.
- 31:19[SPEAKER_03]: And you kick in field goals like that's conceding.
- 31:22[SPEAKER_03]: Your first game as an NFL head coach and you already waved the white flag visibly on the field.
- 31:30[SPEAKER_03]: that I don't know man like so this is going to be that's what goes back to the same comment how big are your stones Todd we are about to find out or you really meant to be one of them dog head coaches or you're are you just another is a big game you know so you are here the good news or the bad news depending on who you ask is that the Browns have 16 more of these things to play this year what is the most immediately fixable issue with this ball club
- 31:59[SPEAKER_02]: Hey, you call the blitz.
- 32:01[SPEAKER_01]: This is four guys rushing all week and he's not going to be here next week.
- 32:04[SPEAKER_01]: It just sent five if anything.
- 32:06[SPEAKER_01]: I think almost buy default.
- 32:08[SPEAKER_01]: Well, immediately to find like next week, you think next week?
- 32:13[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, not like if there is a thing that can be fixed.
- 32:16[SPEAKER_01]: I think that's what's the first thing that gets fixed.
- 32:18[SPEAKER_01]: I think the first thing that will be fixed almost based off of matchups alone.
- 32:22[SPEAKER_01]: Tampa's run defense is very good.
- 32:23[SPEAKER_01]: I think they're going to be able to run the ball against Carolina.
- 32:25[SPEAKER_01]: I think they'll be able to do it against the Steelers at home.
- 32:28[SPEAKER_01]: I think they can do it against the jets, like I think they're going to have more success running the football.
- 32:31[SPEAKER_01]: I do.
- 32:32[SPEAKER_01]: And I also would be utterly floored, asians, and I'd be surprised if it gets to a point where it's just starting the second half in the browser down by 30.
- 32:40[SPEAKER_01]: And again, like I think the games will be much more within reach moving forward.
- 32:44[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think they're going to win them necessarily.
- 32:45[SPEAKER_01]: But I don't think it's going to be like that.
- 32:47[SPEAKER_02]: Don't go anywhere on the Big Play Cleveland show.

- 33:22[SPEAKER_02]: Now we're excited to bring on Phil Taylor.
- 33:25[SPEAKER_02]: Phil you've had a couple of days to calm down after that Brown's game.
- 33:28[SPEAKER_02]: We talked right after it ended.
- 33:30[SPEAKER_02]: Did that game get any better for you?
- 33:32[SPEAKER_02]: And the hours of rest you might have gotten in between then and now.
- 33:36[SPEAKER_00]: No, it was, it still stinks, you know, uh, but I'm, I'm gonna open there, you know, they hit the ground running, you know, backs of the drawing board and trying to correct things this week.
- 33:49[SPEAKER_03]: I, I would have just stayed down there while I was down from the start coming back.
- 33:52[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, everything against that.
- 33:54[SPEAKER_00]: No, because they, I mean, who did it?
- 33:57[SPEAKER_00]: I think somebody did last year when they had two overseas games, but I guess I guess that makes more sense to not come right back across the continent.
- 34:05[SPEAKER_01]: Jaguars, maybe because I think they did.
- 34:06[SPEAKER_02]: Jaguars are always over there.
- 34:08[SPEAKER_02]: So Phil, we've been talking quarterbacks basically all after noon now, just screaming, debating them, you know, all the good stuff.
- 34:15[SPEAKER_02]: Phil, if it was up to you and strictly you, who would be the Cleveland Brown starting quarterback this Sunday?
- 34:22[SPEAKER_00]: Man, that's tough, that's tough.
- 34:23[SPEAKER_00]: You know, it's one game, I still say it to Sean, just because it's just one game.
- 34:29[SPEAKER_00]: You know, even though I felt like it shouldn't have been should do or going into the season, but I was, I was saying to Sean, I'll give him another game, see how it goes, and if it goes, anything like this one, you know, I will get ready to pull him.
- 34:45[SPEAKER_02]: So would you guys the three of you up on the big desk up here?
- 34:49[SPEAKER_02]: Would you all be comfortable saying that if we're sitting at a position where the Browns, let's say they lose 20 to 13.
- 34:55[SPEAKER_02]: Nothing that's most wild score prediction of all time.
- 34:58[SPEAKER_02]: Would you guys be shocked if the shot is out there in front of the home fans week three?
- 35:02[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, I would be shocked.
- 35:04[SPEAKER_01]: I would be shocked.
- 35:04[SPEAKER_02]: Just across it.
- 35:05[SPEAKER_02]: Is that it?
- 35:08[SPEAKER_00]: I'm like, I wouldn't because we look the last year.
- 35:11[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, no, you know what I mean?
- 35:13[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, they'll run out guys as long as they possibly can.
- 35:16[SPEAKER_01]: I will say though, I think this was right after the Watson press conference, I think.
- 35:23[SPEAKER_01]: I did see Dan Orlovsky saying, like, Browns fans, like, why are you going to the games?
- 35:29[SPEAKER_01]: Like, seriously.
- 35:31[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think Eddie, like, I do think we just as fans in general have to do.
- 35:35[SPEAKER_00]: I don't have to do.
- 35:37[SPEAKER_00]: I agree with you.
- 35:37[SPEAKER_01]: I agree with you.
- 35:39[SPEAKER_01]: But I do think like you as fans, like you watch a team, like make decisions that you don't agree with and collectively most Browns fans don't agree with.
- 35:46[SPEAKER_01]: And you're like, oh, I feel like this is, you know, a slap in the face.
- 35:49[SPEAKER_01]: Even though the Browns probably are not trying to slap a fan in the face by making decisions, it doesn't necessarily discount the way fans are feeling about it.
- 35:56[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 35:56[SPEAKER_01]: So like, I think,
- 35:59[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know what the attendance would look like in week three if the Browns lost badly and Watson played badly, but I can tell you what the attendance would look like if it was Shidorah Sanders first started a season, 100%.
- 36:10[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I think you actually can't debate that whatsoever Phil, we talked about this with Hanford yesterday and he said that we're already at a point that if it hasn't already started, that the locker room is going to start losing to Sean Watson.
- 36:22[SPEAKER_02]: Do you feel similarly like after a week of bad play or do you think it's more like, hey, we maybe need to see two or three weeks of bad play before the locker room starts the question because like even yesterday, Ronnie Hickman didn't really give the greatest vote of confidence of all time for to Sean.
- 36:36[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I mean,
- 36:38[SPEAKER_00]: The players, they see it firsthand, you know what I mean?
- 36:41[SPEAKER_00]: So, I mean, if we can notice, I know the players can notice, you know what I mean?
- 36:46[SPEAKER_00]: So, and, you know, being a former player, you really can't talk too much about it.
- 36:52[SPEAKER_00]: It's kind of like whoever's at the helm, or riding with you type situation, you know what I mean?
- 36:57[SPEAKER_00]: You don't want to talk down on any of your teammates, but you see, you know, well, maybe this person should be starting over this person, you know what I mean?
- 37:05[SPEAKER_00]: It's politics.
- 37:06[SPEAKER_02]: So I want to open this back up to everyone for the Sean because he is going this this Sunday to minimum at least expected to go a lot allegedly going as as of right now What is one sign you could see out of the Sean Watson whether it's the first quarter the first half where maybe you're like okay Maybe it was his first game in a couple of years and now he's trying to play football again Max you made a face you think there might not be many signs left
- 37:31[SPEAKER_01]: So I touched down in the first half.
- 37:33[SPEAKER_01]: Like I actually don't know if it's more complicated than that.
- 37:36[SPEAKER_01]: Like the Browns, again, we've talked about this identity.
- 37:39[SPEAKER_01]: They want to run the football.
- 37:40[SPEAKER_01]: They want to punch teams in the mouth.
- 37:41[SPEAKER_01]: You can't do that when you're losing by two possessions at the end of the first quarter.
- 37:44[SPEAKER_01]: Like that's impossible to do.
- 37:45[SPEAKER_01]: It's extremely difficult.
- 37:47[SPEAKER_01]: So you've got to run the ball.
- 37:47[SPEAKER_01]: You have to be able to keep the game within reach to lean into the offensive identity that you want.
- 37:53[SPEAKER_01]: Literally as elementary as it sounds a touchdown and let's say the first quarter.
- 37:59[SPEAKER_01]: would dramatically change the game for the problems.
- 38:01[SPEAKER_01]: It really would.
- 38:02[SPEAKER_03]: I just want to see some rhythm.
- 38:04[SPEAKER_03]: Like, there was none of that this past week.
- 38:07[SPEAKER_03]: And I felt like it was, I thought we was going to get rhythm.
- 38:10[SPEAKER_03]: What?
- 38:11[SPEAKER_03]: I feel like I want to know.
- 38:13[SPEAKER_03]: When you feel like the coaches put the players in the best position to win yesterday, do you think that any type of person know?
- 38:22[SPEAKER_03]: Like let's just say we plugged in a Patrick Mahomes.
- 38:25[SPEAKER_03]: Let's just say we plugged in Miles Gary back on that defense.
- 38:29[SPEAKER_03]: Do you think that the players were put in the position to succeed yesterday?
- 38:33[SPEAKER_03]: Because I came away from that like, okay, if we're bad, we can be bad.
- 38:37[SPEAKER_03]: But that wasn't, that was more than bad.
- 38:41[SPEAKER_03]: Miles wouldn't help the judge today.
- 38:42[SPEAKER_00]: Miles wouldn't help the judge today.
- 38:44[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, yes, they were.
- 38:45[SPEAKER_00]: We still would have lost.
- 38:46[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, you know what I mean?
- 38:49[SPEAKER_00]: It was just a bad overall game.
- 38:51[SPEAKER_00]: You know, offensively defensively.
- 38:54[SPEAKER_00]: And yeah, there was a couple, you know, people that stuck out that played well.
- 38:59[SPEAKER_00]: But as a team, it didn't look good.
- 39:02[SPEAKER_02]: Talking about that defense a little bit more in depth, though, I obviously had a none of us came in at all expecting anything near 34 points for the Jaguars probably.
- 39:11[SPEAKER_02]: What if anything?
- 39:12[SPEAKER_02]: And again, hey, probably you'd like to assume Jared Verst probably has a better week next week.
- 39:16[SPEAKER_02]: But what you think is the easiest path forward for this defense to kind of getting back to what we're used to out of the Cleveland Browns defense of identity.
- 39:25[SPEAKER_00]: finding an identity, you know, that would be the first start.
- 39:29[SPEAKER_00]: That's how the place start fell.
- 39:31[SPEAKER_00]: Just figuring out what they want to be great at.
- 39:34[SPEAKER_00]: You know what I mean and go out there and do it.
- 39:35[SPEAKER_00]: I felt like it was just, I don't know.
- 39:39[SPEAKER_00]: It was a lot going on.
- 39:40[SPEAKER_00]: You know, it was, you know,
- 39:44[SPEAKER_00]: I feel like we don't have that vocal leader yet.
- 39:47[SPEAKER_00]: I feel like versus trying to be that guy.
- 39:50[SPEAKER_00]: But I think we need a lot more guys, hooting and hollering before the game, you know?
- 39:55[SPEAKER_00]: So I don't know, the vibe feel weird this Sunday.
- 39:59[SPEAKER_00]: You know, you don't have you in a joke who no more talking and getting people around you.
- 40:05[SPEAKER_00]: Obviously miles and in some other guys.
- 40:07[SPEAKER_00]: And yeah, that's tough.
- 40:09[SPEAKER_00]: But I think they can bounce back this week.
- 40:12[SPEAKER_02]: I just think part of it and you guys feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, it's just like when you get, when you're, you almost come in, I think maybe not the team, but like the aura around everything is very negative with the Sean Watts and starting in the first place.
- 40:26[SPEAKER_02]: Then the first drive of the season, you go out and throw a pick what like five plays in.
- 40:30[SPEAKER_02]: Like I think, and again, I'm not saying the team, the team shouldn't, and most likely does not take this mentality, but like,
- 40:36[SPEAKER_02]: In a way, don't we all kind of feel like lamb's going to the slaughter after that?
- 40:39[SPEAKER_02]: Like you kind of knew how it was going to go.
- 40:40[SPEAKER_02]: And then it felt like I said it's you on the postgame show.
- 40:43[SPEAKER_02]: Feel like I felt like I was a fan of rice against Notre Dame on Saturday.
- 40:46[SPEAKER_02]: 30 nothing and half time.
- 40:47[SPEAKER_01]: I also think it's finding an identity is really really difficult to start the year with a defense of coordinator who's never called never coordinated an NFL defense.
- 40:55[SPEAKER_01]: Like that's hard.
- 40:56[SPEAKER_01]: So you got to find the identity too.
- 40:57[SPEAKER_01]: But just thinking about that I want to ask everybody, even just beyond the defense.
- 41:04[SPEAKER_01]: right now if you're an opponent going to play the Cleveland Browns, who legitimately strikes fear into you as a player?
- 41:11[SPEAKER_01]: How many are there?
- 41:11[SPEAKER_01]: Are there any?
- 41:12[SPEAKER_01]: Like, I'm genuinely curious.
- 41:14[SPEAKER_01]: After watching yesterday, there's a scene in general, in general.
- 41:18[SPEAKER_01]: Like, I would be scared to be scared to be scared to be scared to be scared to be scared to be scared to be scared to be scared to be scared to be scared to be scared to be scared to be scared.
- 41:23[SPEAKER_03]: I was going to say, Denzel, probably guess that.
- 41:24[SPEAKER_03]: And you ain't throwing a Denzel, I think
- 41:27[SPEAKER_03]: Honestly, like, I feel like if Q and we could utilize Q the proper way, bro, don't nobody want to tackle Q.
- 41:34[SPEAKER_03]: That's a bowl in ball.
- 41:36[SPEAKER_03]: Harold Fennett had three targets.
- 41:38[SPEAKER_00]: But you can't get the running game going when you're down.
- 41:41[SPEAKER_00]: Two touchdowns are real.
- 41:43[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, but how do you get, I mean, the KCG CFC on Fumble.
- 41:50[SPEAKER_03]: That was that that's that's that's fine.
- 41:52[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I'm not bad at that.
- 41:53[SPEAKER_03]: So that one kind of hurt us for sure But I think that comes back to the coaching thing too.
- 41:59[SPEAKER_03]: Like after you get two turnovers in the first quarter What are you going to do to get the rhythm back into the offense?
- 42:04[SPEAKER_03]: Now you just trust and you'll players to go out there and do something and a whole new offense about It sells like that's where coach got to come in and be Superman right like you got to get some players going You got to see a layup going you got to hit that free throw and they didn't do any of that after that
- 42:16[SPEAKER_02]: Let's kind of move this conversation to what's going down this week I now because we can only talk about how bad that was and how bad we all thought they were for so long before we kind of tell you ourselves out of it Baker made field last weekend guys 2328 216 passing yards did have a couple of turnovers via the fumble
- 42:34[SPEAKER_02]: I think it's it's very well documented that Baker may feel the guy who likes to get fired up, have some energy.
- 42:40[SPEAKER_02]: Probably doesn't mind having a little bit of resentment towards his opponent.
- 42:43[SPEAKER_02]: Definitely thinking he might have some in tow for Andrew Barry and the fine folks of Cleveland.
- 42:47[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, Max, it's shocking.
- 42:48[SPEAKER_02]: I know.
- 42:49[SPEAKER_02]: Do you?
- 42:50[SPEAKER_02]: Are you worried about a Baker may feel 300 yard three touchdown revenge game?
- 42:55[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, if we play anything like last week, Baker is going to have a day.
- 43:01[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm sure that we're going to look at practice this week as a tough week, you know, because Baker is not anybody.
- 43:12[SPEAKER_00]: And I feel like he's coming in this game with a chip on his shoulder.
- 43:15[SPEAKER_00]: We got him at home, so it's going to be tough.
- 43:18[SPEAKER_00]: It's going to be tough.
- 43:19[SPEAKER_02]: say I like to think of you as a great optimist for our our Cleveland Browns.
- 43:24[SPEAKER_02]: So I'm not setting you up.
- 43:26[SPEAKER_02]: I'm asking you can this team find a way to after everything we just saw the NFL's the week to week league after everything they just went down this weekend can they find a way to bounce around and beat Baker on the road.
- 43:38[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, but it's not going to be anything like I'm not going to try to sell you ice in a snowstorm right now.
- 43:44[SPEAKER_03]: Like it's going to have to be one of
- 43:48[SPEAKER_03]: One of those things where the players got to look in the mirror.
- 43:51[SPEAKER_03]: Like, is this what we want to be this year?
- 43:53[SPEAKER_03]: Like, okay, it's one bag, it chalks up as one loss.
- 43:56[SPEAKER_03]: No matter how much doom and gloom is right now, it's week one, you still got 16 games left to play.
- 44:02[SPEAKER_03]: You still got a whole opportunity in front of you.
- 44:04[SPEAKER_03]: you're going to continue to get punched in the mouth or you're going to come back out here and you're going to punch him back so like you this could very easily we could very easily be looking past week one if we come out and look like a football team that looks like they should be out on the field but I tell you what we were joking about it before the show starts if they play like what they did this game like you set the over under a half a game
- 44:27[SPEAKER_03]: You know me, I'm going to drop the message.
- 44:29[SPEAKER_03]: You don't win a game if you look like this the entire year.
- 44:32[SPEAKER_03]: So I'm like, do they have a shot?
- 44:34[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, because it can't as much as it is bad as what it looked like last week.
- 44:39[SPEAKER_02]: If you ask me, Phil, from a defensive lineman's perspective, how do you make a guy like Baker may feel just constantly getting rolled out of the pocket uncomfortable?
- 44:49[SPEAKER_00]: Exactly like that, making them get out of the pocket, you know, put pressure on them, you know, as one of my coaches to say, make them throw from the phone booth, you know, and that's just, you know, wanting it, you know, getting back there, studying the guys you're going against, and getting to them.
- 45:05[SPEAKER_02]: So Zay and disembodied little but want to get you guys thoughts on this one as well.
- 45:10[SPEAKER_02]: When it comes to Baker may feel is there also an element with Baker a little bit of I think there's been times in the past specifically more so when he was in Cleveland where Baker would get himself so fired up and so amped up and drew stuff for this big moment and running around and blah, this and that and then just like.
- 45:24[SPEAKER_02]: Pan he goes out there and just like it just it all falls apart like he like what one bad thing happens and the mental Solopard like he's he's just too focused on getting his revenge and having the ego be up to like things just Kind of falling apart in the field any chance we get that this week got into Tampa hundred percent
- 45:40[SPEAKER_01]: 100% three straight drives buck near his fumble last week baker fumbled buckier being so not baker and then baker fumbled in the red zone after he threw a pick that was called back so like that snowball effect is real we saw it last week so there's absolutely a chance I don't think it does but there's chance yeah oh there's obviously a chance but this is good this is the
- 46:04[SPEAKER_03]: The game that we won against the Panthers, you're not getting that Baker, and that Baker damn they're still beat us.
- 46:10[SPEAKER_01]: And that Baker is in a worse team, worse offense, like this is going to be one of those games where Baker, because Baker, like,
- 46:19[SPEAKER_03]: you can almost look at Baker is one of them bullies like and bullies know when that when he's a great this in channel original movie but you know i mean like he know a weakness is around and you just watched us get dogwalked week one he looking at them like uh i'm about to i'm just sweet like Baker going turn into one of them i woke up feeling dangerous this week so i'm i'm hope like
- 46:41[SPEAKER_03]: Jared Versus talking, I hope Denzel gets up for it.
- 46:45[SPEAKER_03]: I hope that Q was running a ball because Baker is going to be one of them things where he's looking to run the score up this week.
- 46:51[SPEAKER_03]: I feel that.
- 46:52[SPEAKER_02]: I feel like you guys might have a field day with this question.
- 46:55[SPEAKER_02]: What did Jackson's will expose to funcily that Tampa Bay will try and attack this week?
- 46:59[SPEAKER_02]: I'm looking for this opportunity.
- 47:02[SPEAKER_01]: Every time.
- 47:02[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 47:03[SPEAKER_01]: I think the middle of the field for sure.
- 47:05[SPEAKER_01]: I think it was clear to see what the backers want on one in the slot.
- 47:10[SPEAKER_01]: Parker Washington, one-on-one with Miles Harden-You.
- 47:13[SPEAKER_01]: I'll take Parker Washington.
- 47:13[SPEAKER_01]: This week it's gonna be Chris Godwin.
- 47:15[SPEAKER_01]: So like, that middle of the field for sure, I think it's also worth noting that in my opinion, at least the buck in your offense lines better than Jacksonville, Jacksonville, try it out a rookie and had a guy switch sides last.
- 47:26[SPEAKER_01]: Like, it was a makeshift interior offense of line at least.
- 47:30[SPEAKER_01]: That buck's unit is stout, so I think Baker will continue to have time to throw the ball.
- 47:34[SPEAKER_01]: The Browns have to stop the runs so they can manufacture some type of pass rush.
- 47:38[SPEAKER_01]: They have to.
- 47:43[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know.
- 47:44[SPEAKER_03]: What was your question?
- 47:45[SPEAKER_01]: What do you feel most comfortable with defensively?
- 47:48[SPEAKER_01]: Like if the Browns are going to bounce back.
- 47:49[SPEAKER_03]: What do you feel comfortable with?
- 47:51[SPEAKER_01]: What, what, what?
- 47:51[SPEAKER_01]: What, what, what?
- 47:52[SPEAKER_01]: Do you really genuinely can't happen?
- 47:53[SPEAKER_01]: Because I feel like we, we thought, and it's very natural talk.
- 47:56[SPEAKER_01]: Negative after such a bad loss.
- 47:58[SPEAKER_01]: But like, what, what can turn this around?
- 48:00[SPEAKER_01]: Like, what is there anything?
- 48:02[SPEAKER_01]: Like, yes, the coach, this is coach.
- 48:05[SPEAKER_01]: But right now we're in the middle of coaching.
- 48:08[SPEAKER_03]: like the like we know what the players are we're young.
- 48:11[SPEAKER_03]: We are like I expected mistakes like going into this you should expect some mistakes on both sides of the ball new everything on the in terms of the I mean they told us not a new scheme looks like a brand new scheme on a defensive side of the ball brand who offers a lot I'm expecting mistakes but like
- 48:26[SPEAKER_03]: I can't expect them to call this type of coverage and then Jacksonville just know that they're going to be in this cup like that's what it felt like it looked like they just picked the better play at that point and they ran it to perfection it like it was a very good offensive minor couple good offense of mine Jacksonville against a coordinator who is coordinating his first NFL game.
- 48:44[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, so I like I think it's one of those things where the coaches have to low key take this one on the chin and be like, you know what?
- 48:50[SPEAKER_03]: Damn we got out coached in every facet of the game starting with Leigh and Cohen down to the defensive corner.
- 48:56[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, hey, one positive note specialty is low key with cooking Yeah, rocket Sanders had a nice lower turn.
- 49:03[SPEAKER_03]: We was moving to ball a little bit.
- 49:04[SPEAKER_03]: So that's the one silver lining.
- 49:05[SPEAKER_03]: I guess you can run away with
- 49:07[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I will take.
- 49:07[SPEAKER_02]: Good.
- 49:08[SPEAKER_02]: Anyways, the first few days, special teams has to take the Cleveland Browns.
- 49:11[SPEAKER_02]: One, three, finally.
- 49:12[SPEAKER_02]: Finally, starting to figure something out.
- 49:15[SPEAKER_02]: OK, there's one week of the year, guys, that we can be allowed to be a jealous ex and talk about Baker May field and not have the whole entire wide talk about Baker, or wide talk about Baker.
- 49:25[SPEAKER_02]: It's the one week of the year that we can do it.
- 49:27[SPEAKER_02]: If you could go back, I'm not saying, hey, everyone in the world, obviously, yes, you'd rather have Baker may feel than what the Sean Watson became.
- 49:33[SPEAKER_02]: We're not trying to say anything about that.
- 49:35[SPEAKER_02]: Do you agree with back game?
- 49:37[SPEAKER_02]: Well, is it 2021, not 2022, Ryan?
- 49:39[SPEAKER_02]: Baker's last year, 21.
- 49:42[SPEAKER_02]: I think it was $20, then $22, yeah, $23 in the playoffs, yeah.
- 49:46[SPEAKER_02]: In 2021, if you could go back and just get rid of Baker.
- 49:49[SPEAKER_02]: I'm not saying to Sean's the quarterback.
- 49:50[SPEAKER_02]: You have to trade for it.
- 49:51[SPEAKER_02]: It could be Kirk Cousins, Garoppolo.
- 49:53[SPEAKER_02]: I forget all the names that were available at that time, but if it was up to you, do you still to the state and your hard-of-harts believe that Baker did not have a Super Bowl ceiling in Cleveland?
- 50:02[SPEAKER_03]: See, that's not the right question, though.
- 50:04[SPEAKER_01]: That's that's me that answer the question.
- 50:08[SPEAKER_01]: I think it would depend on the quarterback Bringing in because went like when you made the move to Sean Walton at the time granted There was so much going on.
- 50:15[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, was a top 10 borderline top five quarterback And you couldn't completely say that about Baker now if it was Baker for a guy like trying to think of a career because as no like Like back then Kirk I think was regarded higher like a Jimmy Groder low like
- 50:29[SPEAKER_01]: What's the big people are saying that I'm not kidding people are saying that that was I remember But I'm saying like because
- 50:37[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think you could confidently make that trade without knowing that you at least had a chance at a better player, or confidently get rid of Baker, at least without knowing you had a chance at a better quarterback.
- 50:48[SPEAKER_01]: Like I, all things considered, you know, I got a coin flip 50, 50.
- 50:52[SPEAKER_01]: I probably wouldn't have gotten rid of him, but the fact that it was a quarterback, literally everybody.
- 50:57[SPEAKER_01]: I hate the hindsight, 2020 stand on a pedestal type type thing when you make talk about the trade.
- 51:02[SPEAKER_01]: The vast majority of people thought John Watson wasn't up great.
- 51:04[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, no, he was.
- 51:05[SPEAKER_03]: He was a top five quarterback over there.
- 51:07[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, we're saying top five, and that's almost being generous.
- 51:09[SPEAKER_03]: It was my homes Rogers, Dishon.
- 51:11[SPEAKER_01]: Dishon through for four, almost 5,000 yards that season.
- 51:15[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I mean, the stats.
- 51:16[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, like you make the see this is why it's so frustrating because
- 51:22[SPEAKER_03]: You make the trade 10 times out of 10 of the quarterback is better than Baker.
- 51:26[SPEAKER_03]: It's not even a question.
- 51:27[SPEAKER_03]: The Browns were never in that opportunity to do that.
- 51:31[SPEAKER_03]: And that's why it just sucks that the result ended like this.
- 51:35[SPEAKER_03]: But like in the moment, I've been a Browns fan 30 year.
- 51:38[SPEAKER_03]: I'm 33.
- 51:39[SPEAKER_03]: My entire life we've never even been in the conversation.
- 51:42[SPEAKER_03]: Let alone had an opportunity to have them sign the contract, to be in conversation with the quarterback of that caliber.
- 51:48[SPEAKER_03]: So I don't fault them for shooting the gun
- 51:52[SPEAKER_03]: I just like, we're into to the point now where I'm falling you for just like damn bro let it go It's almost like trying to hold on to the jibbo jeans like they ain't back in style Yeah, let the jibbo's go, you know, you know You said I mean I agree.
- 52:05[SPEAKER_00]: It's just you know Like you said 10 times out of 10.
- 52:08[SPEAKER_00]: I'm gonna still make that you know saying that deal with the better QB
- 52:13[SPEAKER_02]: So Phil, before we get you out of here, we got to go around and get everyone's score predictions for Browns buckiniers, the way to early Tuesday score predictions.
- 52:20[SPEAKER_02]: Way to early Tuesday, it was on the game, yeah.
- 52:23[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, is that you want to start or feel you want to start?
- 52:25[SPEAKER_02]: Well, which side of the desk should we go down?
- 52:26[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, I'm hung over.
- 52:27[SPEAKER_02]: You're hung over, so you can start.
- 52:29[SPEAKER_00]: I'll take.
- 52:29[SPEAKER_03]: Um, need a little bit more time.
- 52:32[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think we're going to win this week.
- 52:34[SPEAKER_00]: Um, unless they...
- 52:37[SPEAKER_01]: pull a rabbit out of the hat and go back to the drum board and get everything right I'm going thirty four ten okay all the running back running back well if I got that well yeah it's a storm pretty running back yeah no I do think this game is going to be closer I think the Jaguar's are an echelon above the box but I just don't know how
- 53:02[SPEAKER_01]: We could all feel confident watching the Browns offense last week and expect them to take a step like they did.
- 53:09[SPEAKER_01]: Actually, I'm trying to, I don't even know an example last year when they elevated all offense week to week without changing the quarterback.
- 53:14[SPEAKER_01]: So if the Sean's going to be out there again, I think the ceiling is capped off.
- 53:17[SPEAKER_01]: Fence of Lee, Tampa is a good team.
- 53:20[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think there is good as Jacksonville.
- 53:21[SPEAKER_01]: I'll go 23 13.
- 53:25[SPEAKER_01]: Buckingers.
- 53:26[SPEAKER_01]: Proclos.
- 53:27[SPEAKER_03]: You think so?
- 53:28[SPEAKER_03]: I don't want to pick this game.
- 53:31[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, we only got one to pick from sadly.
- 53:33[SPEAKER_01]: Right to reserve to change.
- 53:34[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, you can show me if I'm going to order 20 last week and it was 34 to say.
- 53:42[SPEAKER_03]: I'm so like, you know, I'm turning into the delusional fan and I don't want to do that.
- 53:49[SPEAKER_03]: Like, that game was so bad, but I also had this one as a loss on my record prediction, right?
- 53:54[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 53:55[SPEAKER_03]: So you know, maybe I can still roll with that.
- 53:58[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, that's said our views in trouble.
- 54:00[SPEAKER_03]: God, Lee, bro, I don't see how we win it.
- 54:04[SPEAKER_03]: Honestly, I do see how we win it.
- 54:05[SPEAKER_03]: You know what we're winning?
- 54:12[SPEAKER_03]: We're winning this game.
- 54:13[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know how, right?
- 54:16[SPEAKER_03]: I just think this is going to be one of those things where here's the loser kick it in.
- 54:23[SPEAKER_03]: Where you got it, you got it, you got to prove to yourself.
- 54:26[SPEAKER_03]: Like this, don't even prove to me the fans, the coaches like,
- 54:31[SPEAKER_03]: Be better for yourself.
- 54:32[SPEAKER_00]: Can't go on too.
- 54:33[SPEAKER_03]: You can't go on too.
- 54:35[SPEAKER_03]: You can't put more product out there like that Demi if we lose by seven.
- 54:39[SPEAKER_03]: That's a win in my book right now.
- 54:40[SPEAKER_03]: So like you know what I mean like after a performance like that It's fair after a performance like that we got to see something so I think this is a pride win like you got to you got to at least show some pride this game
- 54:57[SPEAKER_03]: Give me a 19 17 on a game when it feel go for who wins the bronze.
- 55:05[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, yeah, here we go.
- 55:06[SPEAKER_03]: One in one, come back home, man.
- 55:08[SPEAKER_03]: I'm gonna make it tough on, they got to make a tough on Todd though.
- 55:13[SPEAKER_03]: If you come back only to, it's easy.
- 55:15[SPEAKER_03]: You got to play Shoulder, right?
- 55:17[SPEAKER_03]: You come back one in one.
- 55:20[SPEAKER_03]: You've got to make a talk.
- 55:20[SPEAKER_02]: I know that is true.
- 55:21[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 55:22[SPEAKER_02]: What if what if this happens?
- 55:23[SPEAKER_02]: So what's the Browns lose 23 to 20 this weekend?
- 55:26[SPEAKER_02]: But they're down 23 to 3 going into the second half.
- 55:29[SPEAKER_02]: And sure Sanders comes in.
- 55:30[SPEAKER_02]: Leads a little bit of a comeback gets the building fired up to come watch.
- 55:34[SPEAKER_02]: The oh and two team week three when he's named starting quarterback.
- 55:36[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, you don't even have to be done.
- 55:37[SPEAKER_03]: You could be down 50 to nothing.
- 55:39[SPEAKER_03]: He throw one touchdown.
- 55:40[SPEAKER_03]: That city going to be ready for should be there.
- 55:42[SPEAKER_02]: That is true.
- 55:43[SPEAKER_02]: Coming up.
- 55:44[SPEAKER_02]: We're ready.
- 55:45[SPEAKER_02]: Coming up, we're gonna talk a little bit more about the Browns and Bucks and then talk about the Cleveland Guardians after they're so very sad last last night with the division kind of on the line because the White Sucks now have that tie-breaker officially clinched for the season series, but first we guys tell you guys that this episode is brought to you by the third estimate.
- 56:01[SPEAKER_02]: Cleveland's five-star roofing and gutter pros.
- 56:04[SPEAKER_02]: Their Labor Day sale has extended to the end of the month where all new roofs come with a gutter system completely free.
- 56:09[SPEAKER_02]: All of their estimates are good for six months, so visit the third estimate.com again, the third estimate.com before the end of the month to take advantage of this offer.
- 56:17[SPEAKER_02]: Welcome back live to the Big Play Cleveland Show Jack O'Rourke alongside Max Lobb and Chef Seek, continuing to talk some browns versus Baker,
- 56:25[SPEAKER_02]: guys.
- 56:25[SPEAKER_02]: We just got chefs these reasoning as to why we could maybe potentially possibly play the way.
- 56:30[SPEAKER_02]: It wasn't a full blown guarantee.
- 56:32[SPEAKER_02]: Didn't do a Mark Messier 94 guarantee.
- 56:35[SPEAKER_02]: We're going to win this one.
- 56:36[SPEAKER_02]: But but you feel okay about it.
- 56:38[SPEAKER_02]: Let's talk about why guys.
- 56:40[SPEAKER_02]: If you could name anyone on the Browns roster, I'm going to take to Sean out of this because I feel like this is probably the obvious answer.
- 56:46[SPEAKER_02]: Who is the number one player who needs the biggest bounce back game for the Browns win this weekend?
- 56:49[SPEAKER_02]: Excluding to shock is a T-Definitely.
- 56:52[SPEAKER_03]: It's one.
- 56:52[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 56:53[SPEAKER_03]: I think stays the same.
- 56:55[SPEAKER_03]: I need a better bounce back from our coaches, bro.
- 56:58[SPEAKER_03]: The players...
- 57:01[SPEAKER_03]: I can't be mad at Harold Finn and you know what you don't do at it.
- 57:05[SPEAKER_02]: Jared versus your pressures.
- 57:06[SPEAKER_03]: I can't Jared versus definitely could do better.
- 57:09[SPEAKER_03]: You know what I mean?
- 57:10[SPEAKER_03]: But like again, you're not doing Jared versus any favors when you know he's a one-trick pony and bull rushing and you only rush for.
- 57:18[SPEAKER_03]: You're making it easy for the defense.
- 57:20[SPEAKER_03]: So like players can only do so much, scheme it a little bit better.
- 57:24[SPEAKER_03]: So like I need, I need Mike and I need Todd to scheme better this week.
- 57:29[SPEAKER_03]: And then I'll start going to the players.
- 57:31[SPEAKER_01]: I mean I agree with you.
- 57:32[SPEAKER_01]: I think it's hard to find one player.
- 57:36[SPEAKER_01]: I think watching the box Bengals last week it was really clear to see the impact that Mike Gassicki had against that buck in your defense.
- 57:43[SPEAKER_01]: I think Harold Finn and Junior could have a big game.
- 57:45[SPEAKER_01]: Transparently they're like, I still think these browns, young receivers are better than the buck in your corners.
- 57:49[SPEAKER_01]: Like they have to take their opportunities.
- 57:52[SPEAKER_01]: Denzel Boston, Casing and Sexyone, whoever may be down the field, like you have to take opportunities.
- 57:58[SPEAKER_01]: I think these guys, the brown receivers are better than the buck's corners, and I think the browns would be foolish to not at least try them early.
- 58:05[SPEAKER_01]: I really, really, really think whether it's a 40 yard pass, a 30 yard pass interference, guess what?
- 58:10[SPEAKER_01]: It's all the same.
- 58:11[SPEAKER_01]: If you get to the ball for its penalty, it's passing interference.
- 58:13[SPEAKER_01]: Try them.
- 58:14[SPEAKER_01]: See what they're about.
- 58:15[SPEAKER_01]: I truly do think they can take advantage of it.
- 58:17[SPEAKER_02]: It's just the issues the quarterbacks are afraid to go.
- 58:19[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, I hate through it late at the end of the game.
- 58:21[SPEAKER_02]: But he's afraid to go down the middle as a rule of thumb and see which is the most part.
- 58:24[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, how much?
- 58:25[SPEAKER_02]: How much can we even learn about these guys until you put some out there who can throw 20 yards down the field?
- 58:29[SPEAKER_02]: Preaching to the choir.
- 58:30[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, that's a very good point.
- 58:31[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, I thought that through the Denzo boss and wasn't I. Yeah.
- 58:33[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 58:33[SPEAKER_03]: No, it was.
- 58:33[SPEAKER_03]: It was.
- 58:33[SPEAKER_03]: It was just a little bit too late.
- 58:34[SPEAKER_02]: Chris Paul.
- 58:35[SPEAKER_03]: Chris Paul.
- 58:35[SPEAKER_03]: He was really close.
- 58:36[SPEAKER_02]: He was close.
- 58:36[SPEAKER_02]: He was close.
- 58:37[SPEAKER_02]: He was close.
- 58:37[SPEAKER_01]: He was close.
- 58:37[SPEAKER_01]: He was close.
- 58:38[SPEAKER_01]: He was close.
- 58:38[SPEAKER_01]: He was close.
- 58:38[SPEAKER_01]: He was close.
- 58:39[SPEAKER_02]: He was close.
- 58:39[SPEAKER_02]: He was close.
- 58:39[SPEAKER_02]: He was close.
- 58:40[SPEAKER_02]: He was close
- 58:41[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, let's talk about the run game though, because obviously last year Quintch-on-Joke doesn't think we all thought he had a really strong rookie season, because you look at the yards per attempt yards per carry, like not as high as you would think, and a lot of that was because the Browns had a really, really bad O-line anchor by Katie Leviston and like Greg Robinson, I think it was or something like that, and that's tough to get yards with those guys blocking for you.
- 59:01[SPEAKER_02]: a little bit more of the same stuff are the issue for the Browns just in general running the ball in preseason now into week one.
- 59:06[SPEAKER_02]: How important is it for the Browns to establish the run this weekend?
- 59:09[SPEAKER_02]: How do you guys think it'll come?
- 59:11[SPEAKER_03]: It's the most important thing because obviously you see what happens when you don't have a run game.
- 59:16[SPEAKER_03]: Maybe you ought to help out our left guard position as well because 77 couldn't stop a nose bleed or anything.
- 59:25[SPEAKER_03]: So I think that
- 59:28[SPEAKER_03]: especially like you're you through a quarterback out there at granted he's making two hundred thirty main dollars but you through a quarterback out there who's off of double Achilles injury and you don't try to establish any type of run game despite like correct me from wrong though five yards per carry
- 59:46[SPEAKER_03]: It's like a first down every three plays and I know he didn't have a place.
- 59:50[SPEAKER_03]: I know he averaged 2.8 or whatever it was when they've totaled out.
- 59:52[SPEAKER_03]: But like that first drive, the first drive in a half, he was getting four to five yards per care.
- 59:59[SPEAKER_03]: You do that three times.
- 1:00:00[SPEAKER_03]: It's the first down every play.
- 1:00:01[SPEAKER_03]: So like I think you abandoned, I think Todd got a little bit antsy after the second turnover when KC had the fumble and I think that's when you kind of went into a panic mode.
- 1:00:13[SPEAKER_01]: I think so too.
- 1:00:14[SPEAKER_01]: I also think silver lining for the Browns Browns fans whoever may be the Jaguar's run defense didn't allow a hundred.
- 1:00:20[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, sure.
- 1:00:20[SPEAKER_03]: I think they ever tried.
- 1:00:21[SPEAKER_01]: Like they're literally they were statistically yards per game.
- 1:00:24[SPEAKER_01]: The best run defense in the NFL, but one of the best overall templates is good.
- 1:00:28[SPEAKER_01]: Like make no mistake about that via Vita Vita Vita is awesome between the tackles.
- 1:00:32[SPEAKER_01]: It's going to be hard to run on them.
- 1:00:35[SPEAKER_01]: you know, if the browns were like that and there were times they average in five yards of carry throughout the first couple drives, maybe there's something they feel like they can believe in.
- 1:00:42[SPEAKER_01]: You have to be able to do that, but I also think.
- 1:00:46[SPEAKER_01]: you can have play action as an extension, or sorry, play action to build off the run game to help you.
- 1:00:51[SPEAKER_01]: I think Casey can set up his own getting the ball and his hands in the run game.
- 1:00:54[SPEAKER_01]: That can be an extension of that.
- 1:00:56[SPEAKER_01]: Like, I think the Brown's got to get creative with how they attack a run defense.
- 1:01:01[SPEAKER_01]: And you watched the Bengals last week, like Chase Brown touched the ball.
- 1:01:03[SPEAKER_01]: I think more than 20 times, he was bottled up.
- 1:01:06[SPEAKER_01]: Like, it is a tough defense to go against.
- 1:01:08[SPEAKER_01]: And I think every single yard matters.
- 1:01:10[SPEAKER_01]: I talked about in the pre game, break down every single yard matters to the point where,
- 1:01:14[SPEAKER_01]: You're probably going to get stopped up in the back field on a few runs.
- 1:01:17[SPEAKER_01]: Can you turn that zero yard gain into a one or two yard game to set yourself up for the next play or third down?
- 1:01:23[SPEAKER_01]: Like every single yard is going to matter, I think it comes down to getting creative though.
- 1:01:27[SPEAKER_01]: Like between the tackles, they didn't have against Jacksonville.
- 1:01:31[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe it's easier against Tampa, but probably not much easier.
- 1:01:33[SPEAKER_02]: Max, I think you perfectly summed up how the Browns can attack the buck in years this week.
- 1:01:37[SPEAKER_02]: I'm Zay, who are you kind of looking at the highly of these matchups if we want the Browns?
- 1:01:41[SPEAKER_02]: Or who we want the Browns to be attacking with?
- 1:01:45[SPEAKER_02]: on all of a sudden a big day who's having a big day sunday on offense.
- 1:01:49[SPEAKER_03]: You want to just say Harold right like I don't see how you go an entire game when he only gets three targets like any of that one crosser he was like wide open like 20 yards down the field and I don't even think he got the drag route off.
- 1:02:01[SPEAKER_02]: I think you like I didn't bounce down going to the side running flicking art or something.
- 1:02:04[SPEAKER_03]: You need to play to your strengths and obviously you're no like there's no there's no question that Harold fan and is a strength.
- 1:02:10[SPEAKER_03]: You lean on that like I
- 1:02:12[SPEAKER_03]: I would really just like them to get boring.
- 1:02:15[SPEAKER_03]: I just saw the ESPN, I think, was the ESPN tracker with the quarterbacks and how far they patched.
- 1:02:21[SPEAKER_03]: Patrick Mahomes went the entire game without throwing a pass more than 10 yards.
- 1:02:24[SPEAKER_03]: They put up 30 something points.
- 1:02:26[SPEAKER_03]: Because they ran the ball.
- 1:02:27[SPEAKER_03]: Because they ran the ball.
- 1:02:28[SPEAKER_03]: You've got players to do that same exact thing, no matter how boring you did.
- 1:02:33[SPEAKER_03]: Like Casey, you can't get him to ball in space.
- 1:02:36[SPEAKER_03]: You can't get him, but design some bad runs.
- 1:02:38[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
- 1:02:39[SPEAKER_01]: That is an end to me that is a very very very different echelon of talent.
- 1:02:43[SPEAKER_03]: Well, obviously, and Andy Reed is a freak.
- 1:02:45[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, but the scheme that goes back to the scheme and coaching like, I'm just talking about utilizing your players.
- 1:02:51[SPEAKER_03]: You have more than enough offensive weapons who, if you get them the ball in space, they can make plays.
- 1:02:56[SPEAKER_03]: And they didn't even try to get these players the ball in the spare space.
- 1:02:59[SPEAKER_02]: Let's talk a little bit about Travis Schweitzer or the lack of their out of, I guess.
- 1:03:03[SPEAKER_02]: I guess.
- 1:03:04[SPEAKER_02]: Is he?
- 1:03:04[SPEAKER_02]: He's the Brown Suffin's coordinator.
- 1:03:06[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, I, I, I, I, I'm not that I was right.
- 1:03:08[SPEAKER_03]: I didn't know.
- 1:03:08[SPEAKER_03]: I was thinking I'm like Travis Hunter.
- 1:03:10[SPEAKER_03]: So when's I?
- 1:03:11[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, okay.
- 1:03:11[SPEAKER_02]: I was like, oh, I thought I said the wrong name.
- 1:03:13[SPEAKER_02]: I was like, I think that's who we're talking about here.
- 1:03:16[SPEAKER_02]: Um, so he's not calling place much like Todd Munkin wasn't calling plays when he was the Browns offensive coordinator in 2019.
- 1:03:22[SPEAKER_02]: Much like for a time, Tommy Erieson, kind of Dorsey weren't calling plays when Kevin Spansky was head coach.
- 1:03:27[SPEAKER_02]: Do you guys think we could see a point in this season where Todd pulls a cabin and relinquishes play calling duties?
- 1:03:34[SPEAKER_03]: We are one week in and you are already going there.
- 1:03:37[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, yeah, we scored 10 points.
- 1:03:38[SPEAKER_03]: That's not even, that's no.
- 1:03:40[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, I'm sure a world exists, but I think Todd Munkin has done enough as a true offensive play caller in this league to feel confident in his ability to call plays.
- 1:03:50[SPEAKER_01]: I do, like I, I would, maybe it's a trend or tendency thing you want to shake up a run pass tendency so you're opponent misses something, but,
- 1:04:01[SPEAKER_01]: I think it would be a mistake, especially early on in the season to relinquish them.
- 1:04:04[SPEAKER_01]: I do.
- 1:04:04[SPEAKER_02]: I think it would be funny if we fired Kevin ever and talked about that, then I was like, hey, that's what I did the exact same thing.
- 1:04:10[SPEAKER_02]: But some of the runs defense though for a little of that guys, which matchup for the defense scares you the most.
- 1:04:15[SPEAKER_01]: Thanks.
- 1:04:17[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, yeah, honestly, yes, but looking at how the Browns were unable to take advantage of a makeshift interior offensive line, not complete offensive line in Jacksonville and Tampa being one of the most stout units in the NFL, like they have to be able to affect Baker and if they don't, I think, you know, Miles Harden will be the first place they pick on, but
- 1:04:41[SPEAKER_01]: They have to be able to affect Baker, and if you don't, if Bucky Irving is playing well of Kenneth Gainwells getting involved in some sense, like they're going to constantly be behind the chains.
- 1:04:50[SPEAKER_01]: And I think if they stop the run or a TFL or a sack on early downs, life gets so much easier for your defense.
- 1:04:57[SPEAKER_01]: It really, really does.
- 1:04:57[SPEAKER_01]: And I think that to me is the most important thing, just you have to win first down.
- 1:05:02[SPEAKER_01]: You're the first two downs, really.
- 1:05:04[SPEAKER_02]: But if the the Buccaneers are in a third and short or they're not even getting a third down the game is already over that's a perfect segue into the next this question max Z Let's let's get inside that defensive mind of yours, right?
- 1:05:17[SPEAKER_02]: How do the Cleveland Browns for spaker may field into mistakes this weekend?
- 1:05:22[SPEAKER_03]: usually you you like to tell player you like to tell people to keep uh some to get them outside the pocket I think you almost want to keep Baker inside I agree with you yeah a little bit you want to you want to get them a little dancey you want to you want to get them a little office toes and off schedule a little bit when because when Baker gets the role in it and in plays start to break and down that's when Baker I think is honestly at his best so
- 1:05:46[SPEAKER_03]: Don't don't go rush for again.
- 1:05:48[SPEAKER_03]: I tell you that.
- 1:05:49[SPEAKER_03]: Don't give him the time because he's going to do the same thing they Trevor Lawrence did and they got the weapons over there to make something happen.
- 1:05:55[SPEAKER_03]: So I think you just got a you got to get create you got to get creative.
- 1:06:00[SPEAKER_03]: You just set it for the off in the side of the ball.
- 1:06:02[SPEAKER_03]: I believe Grant don't think talked about how a Rui has a disc like his disguises within the defense.
- 1:06:10[SPEAKER_01]: then see any disguises week one so maybe we see some disguises this week and back which it up a little bit is it's just a cover one robber and that cover three matches that all you need cover one robber but you got to get to a point where you can run that confidently like you can't run that on a third and one like you're going to snap the ball find your match up right away like the browns yes have to get creative
- 1:06:34[SPEAKER_01]: I only think they can do that if they win first second down though like you can't throw all these exotic blitzes and Baker may feel picks it up and he gets the ball out right away to Chris God when he takes a screen 50 yards to the house on a second and four like
- 1:06:46[SPEAKER_01]: They have to get creative in the right situations, scenarios for sure.
- 1:06:51[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think they can do that or we'll have success doing that if they can't keep the buck in here's behind the chains.
- 1:06:55[SPEAKER_01]: Like you want to frustrate Bakerman.
- 1:06:58[SPEAKER_01]: And when he's out of the pocket, sling in the thing 50 yards down the field, that is Bakerman if you'll be in Bakerman field.
- 1:07:03[SPEAKER_01]: When you're keeping in the pocket, do a good job containing.
- 1:07:06[SPEAKER_01]: force him to make tight window throws.
- 1:07:08[SPEAKER_01]: He can make him, but he I think he will have less success making those than he will with a mech egg muka in a scrambled roll.
- 1:07:14[SPEAKER_01]: Or when he's easily able to check the ball down the one of those two dynamic running backs, you got a frustrate baker may feel.
- 1:07:20[SPEAKER_01]: And I think frustrating him is really, especially because this game is so emotionally heavy,
- 1:07:25[SPEAKER_01]: making him take the check down, making him make the easy pass.
- 1:07:29[SPEAKER_01]: He wants to hit home runs.
- 1:07:30[SPEAKER_01]: He wants to throw for 300 yards and four touchdowns and look up to wherever Andrew Barry is sitting in that booth and make sure he makes eye contact.
- 1:07:37[SPEAKER_02]: Like that's what he wants.
- 1:07:38[SPEAKER_02]: He's going to drop the coldest quote after the game.
- 1:07:41[SPEAKER_01]: And a part of the interview doesn't.
- 1:07:43[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, part of me doesn't blame him.
- 1:07:44[SPEAKER_01]: To be honest with you, part of me doesn't not blame him.
- 1:07:47[SPEAKER_01]: But I think Baker may feel wants that so bad that there could be points of exploitation for the Brown Steathense and just making him take the easy throw.
- 1:07:58[SPEAKER_01]: Like we saw the Seahawks do it against Drake May and the Seahawks defense is not the Brown Steath.
- 1:08:01[SPEAKER_01]: Like they're very different.
- 1:08:03[SPEAKER_01]: But over and over and over and over and over and over the Seahawks are like our Drake, we'll give you this check down.
- 1:08:08[SPEAKER_01]: Here you go.
- 1:08:09[SPEAKER_01]: As soon as Drake may start the force that fall down the field three intersections.
- 1:08:13[SPEAKER_01]: That's what you got to do with Drake, maybe it's not an inpatient quarterback.
- 1:08:16[SPEAKER_01]: Baker may feel to can be an inpatient quarterback.
- 1:08:18[SPEAKER_01]: I really do think there's aspects of this Brown's defense that can put him in those situations, but he has to put in those situations.
- 1:08:25[SPEAKER_01]: And if you're running the ball or you're standing at a chance, he will not be in those situations.
- 1:08:30[SPEAKER_02]: to put a bit of a bow on the Brown guy.
- 1:08:33[SPEAKER_02]: We've got two more Brown's questions.
- 1:08:35[SPEAKER_02]: We've got a one that's a two part Brown's question.
- 1:08:37[SPEAKER_02]: And then a one part, it's really three questions left here.
- 1:08:40[SPEAKER_02]: Talking about your Cleveland Browns.
- 1:08:41[SPEAKER_02]: Guys, give me one reason the Browns can win this weekend and one reason the Browns will not win this weekend.
- 1:08:48[SPEAKER_02]: Will not or are not favored to quarterback play?
- 1:08:53[SPEAKER_02]: I'm just gonna put it out.
- 1:08:54[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, simple enough.
- 1:08:55[SPEAKER_01]: Just bucking your secondary, I don't think it's great.
- 1:08:57[SPEAKER_01]: And I think you can take advantage of it.
- 1:09:01[SPEAKER_01]: I'll just I'll leave it quarterback play that like is the biggest deterrent in me believing in a win We're about W It's tough.
- 1:09:09[SPEAKER_01]: I mean It really is like I To me the areas of exploitation for Tampa are the Browns weakest offensive areas right now, so I do think that's the case
- 1:09:21[SPEAKER_01]: But honestly, as crazy as it sounds, any, the idea of any given Sunday and being able to learn from games.
- 1:09:27[SPEAKER_01]: Like, I thought that is such a sad thing.
- 1:09:29[SPEAKER_01]: So it's a sweet story and not even Sunday.
- 1:09:32[SPEAKER_01]: But I'll ask you guys, like, you're right, yes.
- 1:09:36[SPEAKER_01]: Arizona Cardinals Los Angeles Chargers.
- 1:09:39[SPEAKER_01]: everybody in there to cover picked the Los Angeles to make a copy of that man I'll do my two to the more for the giant's little bit here vast majority of national analyst picked the Dallas Cowboys to win crazy stuff happens everybody picked the the rams to dog walk the 49ers true yeah yeah man I'm having such a tough time for the weekend win
- 1:10:04[SPEAKER_03]: just because of how bad it was.
- 1:10:06[SPEAKER_01]: I just sat here and said any given Sunday that's how the Browns can win like they yes there's there's there's minimal 53 guys showing up to the stadium to play the NFL game that and I also do think there's an aspect of physicality of the Browns that or should there should be an act that's why it should be that can give you a chance but like I asked it like an hour ago.
- 1:10:26[SPEAKER_03]: what makes you believe that they're there can be something like I legitimately don't know you're supposed to lean on your coach and the fact that I can't go to my coach right now after week one that's what's driving me crazy because like I said how excited were you about this team this season when I mean I'm still
- 1:10:43[SPEAKER_03]: We still are, yeah, but like I'm not as one-six-side because it all hanged on the balance of coaching.
- 1:10:50[SPEAKER_03]: Like you felt like you finally were getting offensive guy to do something.
- 1:10:56[SPEAKER_03]: And he did literally what we've been seeing for the past two years, like this was the case.
- 1:11:01[SPEAKER_03]: You could have just kept the continuity with Kevin, you know what I mean?
- 1:11:03[SPEAKER_03]: Like so this is why it's going up to like, it's bigger than just the X's and O's right now.
- 1:11:08[SPEAKER_03]: Like this is a organizational just blunder right now.
- 1:11:14[SPEAKER_02]: Last question about the Cleveland Browns before we talk about the guardians little fun one here.
- 1:11:17[SPEAKER_02]: This could be only get to play back on Sunday.
- 1:11:19[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, yes.
- 1:11:20[SPEAKER_02]: If if the Tampa Bay Buccaneers win on Sunday.
- 1:11:25[SPEAKER_02]: What is going to be that Baker may feel quote in the press conference about the Browns that is in the headlines of big play the plain dealer lobes leads the crackpot everything.
- 1:11:35[SPEAKER_03]: I know what it is.
- 1:11:36[SPEAKER_03]: You which day for hmm.
- 1:11:39[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, I was going to go along that line.
- 1:11:43[SPEAKER_02]: I was going to say it's going to be something about like, no who you're making your bad with.
- 1:11:47[SPEAKER_02]: I thought it was going to be similar about.
- 1:11:49[SPEAKER_02]: But I do think he will make something like that.
- 1:11:51[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, would you be just got his contract?
- 1:11:55[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, you're watching the other one.
- 1:11:57[SPEAKER_01]: Make his money.
- 1:12:01[SPEAKER_01]: Am I crazy for thinking?
- 1:12:03[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe there's a subtle jab, but Baker kind of takes the high road here.
- 1:12:08[SPEAKER_03]: I can see that.
- 1:12:09[SPEAKER_03]: I can see it.
- 1:12:09[SPEAKER_01]: To prove that he matured, but though we'll be a subtle- No, he's gonna say something.
- 1:12:13[SPEAKER_03]: There's no way he doesn't.
- 1:12:15[SPEAKER_03]: I'm with you, I'm with you, but it's gonna be one of those.
- 1:12:20[SPEAKER_03]: I'm going to say something, but I'm not going to say it, and you're just going to imply it and know that what he was getting that kind of like the, um, was an entertainer and what what it was like.
- 1:12:31[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 1:12:32[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 1:12:32[SPEAKER_03]: Yep.
- 1:12:32[SPEAKER_03]: The Dylan Gabriel.
- 1:12:33[SPEAKER_01]: I think I would be, you know what?
- 1:12:34[SPEAKER_01]: I'd be watching for buzzwords in the press conference.
- 1:12:37[SPEAKER_01]: I'd be watching for guaranteed, if he throws that in anywhere in the conference.
- 1:12:41[SPEAKER_02]: That's a good.
- 1:12:42[SPEAKER_02]: We should do like a bingo card of words.
- 1:12:44[SPEAKER_02]: He says in the post game.
- 1:12:45[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 1:12:45[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 1:12:45[SPEAKER_02]: Share it.
- 1:12:46[SPEAKER_02]: Share it.
- 1:12:46[SPEAKER_02]: Share it.
- 1:12:50[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know, because like does he bring up, does he, oh, oh, a doll?
- 1:12:55[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, does he bring up the Panthers loss?
- 1:12:58[SPEAKER_03]: No, definitely not.
- 1:13:01[SPEAKER_02]: Well, it was like in a way of like, yeah, like I remember like just got taken off the Browns and go to Carolina.
- 1:13:07[SPEAKER_02]: I'm ready to beat him.
- 1:13:08[SPEAKER_02]: I make T-shirts and I wasn't ready.
- 1:13:10[SPEAKER_02]: I was young and I was stupid.
- 1:13:11[SPEAKER_02]: And then I went to LA and I learned and like I don't think he's going to give his Wikipedia after the game, but it is possible.
- 1:13:17[SPEAKER_01]: I think he does maybe again, subtle jab.
- 1:13:19[SPEAKER_01]: I think he does take the high road.
- 1:13:21[SPEAKER_01]: If it was a question about the Browns.
- 1:13:23[SPEAKER_01]: He said, I'm pretty sure he said something to the effect of this on new heights.
- 1:13:27[SPEAKER_01]: like not my problem or like I'm a timid buck and you're like I think that's the route he's gonna go Yeah, oh, hopefully he does.
- 1:13:33[SPEAKER_02]: I think it would kind of hurt everyone in Cleveland.
- 1:13:34[SPEAKER_02]: He's just kind of yeah Yeah, I'm sure I sort of tried to want to see what he says I just see the Jimmy because then I want to then Jimmy they'll be a Jimmy's already said and then I didn't see him We love Baker.
- 1:13:44[SPEAKER_02]: I'd love back one day.
- 1:13:45[SPEAKER_02]: I'll do some stupid like that
- 1:13:47[SPEAKER_02]: The kind of thing they would, all right, we're gonna take a quick break here on the big-click Cleveland Show.
- 1:13:51[SPEAKER_02]: We come back.
- 1:13:51[SPEAKER_02]: We're talking Cleveland Guardians trying to keep the season alive.
- 1:13:55[SPEAKER_02]: Welcome back live.
- 1:13:56[SPEAKER_02]: Two to big-click Cleveland Show.
- 1:13:57[SPEAKER_02]: Time to talk about some Cleveland Guardians based on Jack O'Rourke alongside Chef's Day and Max Slob.
- 1:14:03[SPEAKER_02]: Lowe, the Red Sucks kind of, kind of, starting to have some beef at the cards a little bit.
- 1:14:06[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, well we'll see what happens.
- 1:14:08[SPEAKER_01]: I mean they they what two weeks through weeks left.
- 1:14:11[SPEAKER_01]: There's a heavy wild card race I don't think the Red Sox or Yankees are going to be able to catch up to the ALEs, but we'll see but the Guardians as you know had a little bit of a debacle last night a six run inning jack.
- 1:14:23[SPEAKER_01]: First loss of the series against the White Sox back tonight Wednesday at one.
- 1:14:28[SPEAKER_01]: Let's just focus on last night for now.
- 1:14:30[SPEAKER_01]: How much did last night Monday night's loss change this division race?
- 1:14:35[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, it's definitely a bit of a killer, I think, just because with last night's win, the White Sox clinched the series tiebreaker against the Guardians.
- 1:14:42[SPEAKER_02]: So now, if you're on the season with the same amount of wins, obviously anything is going in their direction, and it was just the fact that the way you lost it.
- 1:14:49[SPEAKER_02]: Because Gavin Williams didn't really have his ace stuff yesterday, but despite that, just battled his way through like I gotten to the sixth.
- 1:14:56[SPEAKER_02]: I believe it was like, got through five okay at, uh,
- 1:14:58[SPEAKER_02]: Basel's loaded jam.
- 1:14:59[SPEAKER_02]: He got out of that a couple of huge strikeouts.
- 1:15:01[SPEAKER_02]: There's one on Brady Montgomery.
- 1:15:02[SPEAKER_02]: I remember too.
- 1:15:03[SPEAKER_02]: I knew that was pretty big.
- 1:15:05[SPEAKER_02]: And then things just kind of fell apart.
- 1:15:06[SPEAKER_02]: A couple of soft hit balls.
- 1:15:08[SPEAKER_02]: Then Nathaniel Lowe decided to play dodgeball and hit one of the one of the white socks runners in the head and that kind of from their things spiral.
- 1:15:16[SPEAKER_02]: Tim Heron came in the game and Tim has been great the last month or so, but didn't totally have it.
- 1:15:20[SPEAKER_02]: A spinole came in after.
- 1:15:21[SPEAKER_02]: And I think anyone knows whenever a spinole's in the game.
- 1:15:24[SPEAKER_02]: I mean
- 1:15:27[SPEAKER_02]: spin the wheel of what you're going to get, and he might hang a picture to, I think Vargas had a baseball like 9,000 feet.
- 1:15:34[SPEAKER_02]: So yeah, hey, last night wasn't great at all, and yeah, you lost that tiebreaker, but that is the beauty of baseball is, hey, I probably didn't think we're going to win all three.
- 1:15:42[SPEAKER_02]: I probably suspected that we would end up losing the tiebreaker at some point this week, but that doesn't mean you can't take two or three, and then go into a weekend series with Oak or Sacramento who's miserable, and that makes more hayback.
- 1:15:53[SPEAKER_01]: Well, like you said, this weekend, you should be able to get back on track.
- 1:15:57[SPEAKER_01]: Really, regardless of what happens this series.
- 1:15:59[SPEAKER_01]: Obviously, Tuesday night, very important.
- 1:16:02[SPEAKER_01]: Must win.
- 1:16:03[SPEAKER_01]: Yes?
- 1:16:05[SPEAKER_02]: In terms of what to win the division or in general to win the division you know must win let's say in general Let's say in general.
- 1:16:10[SPEAKER_02]: In general.
- 1:16:11[SPEAKER_02]: It's not a must win.
- 1:16:11[SPEAKER_02]: You're still a game up in the wild card race right now And yeah, hey, you don't want to Peter around with that, but I do think that you're in a comfortable enough spot where yeah You can still like drop a gamer to here because you got a game on yeah You got a game on Toronto right now in a game in a half on Texas.
- 1:16:24[SPEAKER_02]: So yeah I'm not gonna sit here I'm not on the show.
- 1:16:26[SPEAKER_02]: If I was on the show tomorrow I wouldn't be up here doing a season's overstick if we lost tonight, but The division I definitely think you're you're starting to get in a little bit of trouble if you lose against tonight
- 1:16:35[SPEAKER_02]: But hey, even if you was sent, you got Parker tomorrow.
- 1:16:37[SPEAKER_02]: You make one of the gamers back and you never know because you'd be what a game and a half out with nine laughing stealable.
- 1:16:43[SPEAKER_03]: Do you love your match up more as a wild card or as a division winner?
- 1:16:47[SPEAKER_03]: Like do you think there's any strategic play?
- 1:16:49[SPEAKER_02]: It's a phenomenal question.
- 1:16:50[SPEAKER_02]: That's a phenomenal question actually because it really can get this is a year where
- 1:16:56[SPEAKER_02]: I believe I saw you put out this tweet last night.
- 1:16:58[SPEAKER_02]: If you did not put out this tweet last night, it was someone else Congratulations.
- 1:17:01[SPEAKER_02]: I associate every good football suit with games.
- 1:17:03[SPEAKER_01]: Let's go.
- 1:17:05[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
- 1:17:05[SPEAKER_02]: So someone tweeted out like, hey, the last year's A.C. Championship game like how those two teams look this week.
- 1:17:10[SPEAKER_02]: Like, they wasn't me.
- 1:17:11[SPEAKER_02]: It wasn't you okay.
- 1:17:12[SPEAKER_02]: Well, I thought it was you because it was a great football suite, but I was like, hey, last year's two A.C. Championship game teams.
- 1:17:18[SPEAKER_02]: They look pretty dang bad this week and maybe those teams kind of got lined up in the right spot in the playoffs and went from there Kind of how noted it ain't when they made the playoffs a couple years ago like they ended up running into it was Indiana at home, and then it was
- 1:17:30[SPEAKER_02]: Georgia without Carson back and then it was James Franklin in a playoff game.
- 1:17:35[SPEAKER_02]: So it was like, oh, you got an auto bit to the National Championship.
- 1:17:38[SPEAKER_02]: Like, it's the guardians with this division and are able to get that second spot and get the buy.
- 1:17:43[SPEAKER_02]: You're looking at playing the white socks in the first round at home and I believe you'd then be partying that into Houston who is like the fighting hunter Browns.
- 1:17:53[SPEAKER_02]: Like, they have one good player and then 25 guys who you could
- 1:17:58[SPEAKER_02]: You're looking at a world where you might accidentally be in the ALCS just by showing up in the playoffs if you win this division.
- 1:18:03[SPEAKER_02]: But by the same token like Wildcard, it's also, it'd just be the opposite route where hey, can you go in Chicago?
- 1:18:09[SPEAKER_02]: I think it can.
- 1:18:10[SPEAKER_02]: Then, well, I forget if you're receding baseball, if you do receding baseball, then maybe you'd run into some issues with the, uh, the one-see of Tampa, but I don't think so.
- 1:18:19[SPEAKER_01]: I do think that the six three matchup also just avoiding a potential second round matchup with, well, I get, again, it would,
- 1:18:28[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, you would rather have the buy because you literally win a series like that is absolutely part of it But I also do think it's worth looking at the four or five match up mean like yeah Like those are two good teams are gonna beat up on each other.
- 1:18:39[SPEAKER_01]: One of them is going to go.
- 1:18:40[SPEAKER_01]: Can I avoid one of those teams for as long as possible?
- 1:18:44[SPEAKER_01]: I also do think there's a factor in just playing at home like if you're the six-seed and you're not going on the road to the three who Again, it could be the white socks at that point like
- 1:18:52[SPEAKER_01]: That's a tough.
- 1:18:53[SPEAKER_02]: It's weird because that's the one thing is because 100% if you are telling me, Jack O'Rourke, G year H, do you want the Cleveland Guardians to host the first round?
- 1:19:02[SPEAKER_02]: Absolutely, but this team can't win a dang game at home this year.
- 1:19:06[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe it wouldn't be a bad thing to send him out on the road to Chicago where we've had some success on the past but I don't know.
- 1:19:10[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, you're going to learn a lot.
- 1:19:11[SPEAKER_02]: You got foster grift on the mountain like he's kind of been
- 1:19:14[SPEAKER_02]: a little bit shaky since he got to Cleveland probably in the same boat of Nathaniel Lo is like hey this guy isn't really living up to what we thought he'd be at all luckily Joe Delve with the authors kind of short ups and things but you got him going against Chris Murphy last night was your night like there was an opener, uh, Newcomen went one inning then Perk came in was awesome Thorne strikes all night.
- 1:19:33[SPEAKER_02]: I think we hidden to like
- 1:19:34[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, there's nine innings.
- 1:19:35[SPEAKER_02]: I want to say we heading to 12 double plays the last night.
- 1:19:37[SPEAKER_02]: So you just got to get the offense going more than the last night.
- 1:19:40[SPEAKER_02]: It can't be David Fry hitting a huge three to cut the deficit to 60 in the night.
- 1:19:44[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 1:19:44[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 1:19:45[SPEAKER_01]: I'm looking right now.
- 1:19:46[SPEAKER_01]: Number one, see we'll always play four or five.
- 1:19:48[SPEAKER_01]: So the ALE teams are going to just beat up on each other and one of them is going to be in the ALC.
- 1:19:51[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
- 1:19:51[SPEAKER_01]: And then it's.
- 1:19:52[SPEAKER_02]: So just get in, man, and you've got to have pretty some path if you just simply get in, because even the rays, I think the rays are like the, do you know that you're in the Hawks with like teague, or whatever, like they're like, did they want 60 games?
- 1:20:02[SPEAKER_02]: They were the one seed that we swore.
- 1:20:04[SPEAKER_02]: No one in the world believed in them.
- 1:20:05[SPEAKER_02]: Like, no, they were a great regular season team.
- 1:20:07[SPEAKER_02]: People in the National Assembly, so they're about the Cavs two years ago.
- 1:20:09[SPEAKER_02]: So didn't want to ring that up, but I think it's a comparison.
- 1:20:11[SPEAKER_01]: I was thinking, yeah, no, it's not the same.
- 1:20:14[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I'm with you on a scale and wanted to add how confident are you that the division can be one though.
- 1:20:23[SPEAKER_01]: man.
- 1:20:23[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, it's just so tough because the white socks have been the whole world and we're getting from the fall off for six months now and it hasn't happened.
- 1:20:31[SPEAKER_02]: We got nine games to go.
- 1:20:32[SPEAKER_02]: So maybe maybe they're starting to fall off, but it is only down to a game and a half now.
- 1:20:36[SPEAKER_02]: Man, with nine laughs, you got two against them.
- 1:20:39[SPEAKER_02]: There's your chance to take the, I mean, hey, if you win the next two, you got the division lead walking out of the series and you have six of your final nine games against the lowly, lowly, lowly,
- 1:20:52[SPEAKER_02]: I'm going to go 43% just because I don't actually love us today.
- 1:20:57[SPEAKER_02]: If they win this game this afternoon, though, I might like 60%.
- 1:21:00[SPEAKER_01]: I was you say if they lose night division race over, can you just kiss it goodbye?
- 1:21:04[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 1:21:04[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 1:21:06[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
- 1:21:07[SPEAKER_02]: All right.
- 1:21:08[SPEAKER_01]: Let's put it on the record then, do they win the night, all of us?
- 1:21:13[SPEAKER_02]: You know what, it was a playoff atmosphere down there last night.
- 1:21:15[SPEAKER_02]: So I hated the way it ended again, since there's 162, I'm not questioning the efforts.
- 1:21:19[SPEAKER_02]: Sometimes things don't go your way.
- 1:21:20[SPEAKER_02]: It's baseball.
- 1:21:21[SPEAKER_02]: The best teams lose 70 games a year, but last thing was probably the first true playoff atmosphere of the year at the park and you kind of late in egg in front of the home crowd with love, love, love.
- 1:21:30[SPEAKER_02]: You went out there and did the opposite tonight.
- 1:21:31[SPEAKER_02]: So I'm going to take them to win.
- 1:21:32[SPEAKER_01]: I think so too.
- 1:21:33[SPEAKER_01]: I think we were both at the game last year where we remember when school tried to throw the ball between his legs.
- 1:21:37[SPEAKER_01]: Remember that last year?
- 1:21:39[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, and we were there.
- 1:21:40[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, that was right right around this time of the year.
- 1:21:42[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, exactly I bring that up for that reason like knowing that you have been there before a manager who's been there before a lot of the same players who have been there before Like I trust them the bounce back.
- 1:21:51[SPEAKER_01]: I do I think they do win the night Especially on the white socks.
- 1:21:54[SPEAKER_02]: They're the total opposite.
- 1:21:55[SPEAKER_02]: They have no experience.
- 1:21:55[SPEAKER_02]: They haven't played baseball this time of the year in a couple of years Not one any of these guys for currently in the building were so yeah, they'd like to think maybe you get them in some more of a
- 1:22:03[SPEAKER_02]: Playoff happens here with the thing as soon as you got to you got to score first.
- 1:22:06[SPEAKER_02]: You got to draw first blood in one of these games because I think that's when you get a young team playing on their heels on the road right in front of October You know, I it's tough one Like okay, like they're out hitting us they're getting more guys on base every time we get a guy on we're grinding to a double play in the next and you know They're six rep like yeah, that can't happen again tonight.
- 1:22:21[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, what do you think the w yeah It's time for some baseball magic it's time.
- 1:22:25[SPEAKER_03]: I feel the breed like coming from Florida and coming back here you just feel it in the air and
- 1:22:34[SPEAKER_03]: the magic that I was talking about last week like it might be time like how many guys got to live nine but what you say what you said last week about their magic was the funniest thing I've ever heard on the show before you said it you said they were like giving magic but not quite magic it was it was so funny they weren't giving it yet that's for sure and getting six runs in one inning that's definitely not the magic that we're looking for so they I mean if they're going to do something spectacular
- 1:23:00[SPEAKER_01]: right now's the time right and it it it it it is it's not the playoffs but it's a playoff atmosphere and there's absolutely something to say about any team not just the baseball team like literally any sports team who's been there before versus one who hasn't
- 1:23:14[SPEAKER_01]: I would tend to trust a team who has, right?
- 1:23:16[SPEAKER_02]: We have one big final question of the day coming up.
- 1:23:19[SPEAKER_02]: We got a little to Sean Watson question for Max and Chef Saber.
- 1:23:22[SPEAKER_02]: First, before we finish talking about the Guardians, we got to tell you guys we got something pretty cool for you guys coming literally tomorrow on the stream.
- 1:23:30[SPEAKER_02]: Big Blake Cleveland is teaming up with the Cleveland Guardians to give away four field box tickets to see the guards take on the athletics on Friday, September 18th at progressive field.
- 1:23:37[SPEAKER_02]: An entering is going to be simple.
- 1:23:39[SPEAKER_02]: You need to be watching Big Blake Cleveland tomorrow at 125PM.
- 1:23:42[SPEAKER_02]: So, right about now, basically, during the show, we're going to give you a special word to type into the YouTube chat.

- 1:24:09[SPEAKER_02]: Four field box tickets, Garza's, Garza's, be watching live, tomorrow at 125, we'll give you the word you put it in the chat and somebody watching Big Play Cleveland is winning those tickets.
- 1:24:19[SPEAKER_02]: Good luck.
- 1:24:19[SPEAKER_02]: I actually heard massive rumors that Zay was hoping to get out to the ball yard on Friday.
- 1:24:23[SPEAKER_02]: So if you see, if you see the chef say official YouTube page, typing in a code word around 12 or 125, it's where I don't be surprised.
- 1:24:31[SPEAKER_02]: Guys, before we get out of here, put it on the record.
- 1:24:34[SPEAKER_02]: Just a Sean Watson finish Sunday's game.
- 1:24:38[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, I think so.
- 1:24:41[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think it gets too a blowout enough where they pull them.
- 1:24:45[SPEAKER_01]: And maybe they win the game, but yeah, I think so.
- 1:24:48[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, he'll finish the game.
- 1:24:50[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, I think he didn't put, like I know you guys see, he's sort of fresh.
- 1:24:54[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I can't give much worse.
- 1:24:57[SPEAKER_01]: You almost took the word drive on mouth, like how,
- 1:25:01[SPEAKER_01]: How can it, yeah, how can it get?
- 1:25:02[SPEAKER_01]: Can't really should not put that into the air.
- 1:25:05[SPEAKER_01]: I would say I could tell you how it can get worse.
- 1:25:07[SPEAKER_01]: That happens, oh and two, and here we come.
- 1:25:08[SPEAKER_01]: September 27th, Carolina Panthers, Munilop bumping for the home opener.
- 1:25:12[SPEAKER_01]: It was a starting quarterback.
- 1:25:13[SPEAKER_03]: That's what I'm more interesting than aftermath.
- 1:25:16[SPEAKER_02]: Like, let's put that, let's put that in the record.
- 1:25:18[SPEAKER_02]: It's starting quarterback week three.
- 1:25:20[SPEAKER_02]: It should or like, I'm less the Browns win.
- 1:25:23[SPEAKER_02]: I would be floored.
- 1:25:25[SPEAKER_01]: Floored.
- 1:25:25[SPEAKER_02]: Shoulder standards to me?
- 1:25:28[SPEAKER_02]: I don't do it say don't do it like I don't think they care that's the Propancy that's clearly they don't care they call them a swing in a missed two years ago Dude, we are gonna be eating yams and stuffing and he's gonna be quarterback on here.
- 1:25:46[SPEAKER_01]: Here's the thing though Like I was I believe it was Albert Breyer who talked about this yesterday
- 1:25:51[SPEAKER_01]: You are a quarterback prospect.
- 1:25:54[SPEAKER_01]: Watching the dysfunction or at least perceived dysfunction that's going on right now.
- 1:26:00[SPEAKER_01]: How do you not at least think about?
- 1:26:03[SPEAKER_01]: Pulling any line manning saying, I don't wanna play in Cleveland.
- 1:26:06[SPEAKER_03]: How do you not at least, you know, there's no one because I'm telling because this is where the theory coming back.
- 1:26:12[SPEAKER_03]: This is where my my theory that I've been run a week has come.
- 1:26:16[SPEAKER_03]: I think that there is this master plan in place where they have all of their place holders.
- 1:26:21[SPEAKER_03]: How many times have we set up here and talked about.
- 1:26:24[SPEAKER_03]: when Todd got first, he was the he's a bridge guy.
- 1:26:27[SPEAKER_03]: I think Andrew Barry is in a trial period to see if he could be the guy moving forward, but he was the guy to get you to brick park.
- 1:26:34[SPEAKER_03]: I fully believe, I don't remember what year it was, but do you remember when there were rumbles that Peyton Manning was looking for houses in Bretton all?
- 1:26:44[SPEAKER_03]: for when we're looking for the GM.
- 1:26:46[SPEAKER_03]: I think that there, how do you pull it?
- 1:26:49[SPEAKER_03]: Because the mannings are doing our in sync with wanting to do business with Jimmy Haslam.
- 1:26:55[SPEAKER_03]: It's going to be a manning of fair and Cleveland.
- 1:26:58[SPEAKER_03]: You're going to have Peyton Manning in the front office.
- 1:27:00[SPEAKER_03]: You're going to have archmanning sign off on it.
- 1:27:03[SPEAKER_03]: That's the only thing that I can see them saying, why wouldn't want to go is because they are in lockstep sync with doing business with the man.
- 1:27:12[SPEAKER_02]: You know who you know what you remember that room of all right say you know what bank that's located in Cleveland, Ohio just announced a 10 year partnership with University of Texas athletics.
- 1:27:22[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, is it Huntington?
- 1:27:25[SPEAKER_02]: Leave it or not, it actually is.
- 1:27:26[SPEAKER_02]: Hmm, um, funny.
- 1:27:28[SPEAKER_02]: I love this.
- 1:27:29[SPEAKER_02]: I love how he's already doing the quiet letter to shit.
- 1:27:31[SPEAKER_02]: I'm just telling him to leave it.
- 1:27:32[SPEAKER_02]: He's gonna cut.
- 1:27:33[SPEAKER_03]: Like, I'm just telling you, like there's this thing is bigger.
- 1:27:36[SPEAKER_03]: It's bigger than the X's in those.
- 1:27:38[SPEAKER_03]: They don't, I don't think they want to win on this soil.
- 1:27:41[SPEAKER_03]: We're gonna know how much Jimmy wants to win.
- 1:27:44[SPEAKER_03]: They're gonna lose stadium.
- 1:27:44[SPEAKER_03]: No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no,
- 1:27:51[SPEAKER_03]: I, it's all calculated.
- 1:27:52[SPEAKER_03]: I'm telling you.
- 1:27:54[SPEAKER_01]: I don't disagree that there's at least a thought processor alignment with like maybe Archmany is our guy.
- 1:27:59[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, obviously like everybody in their mother was watching that game.
- 1:28:02[SPEAKER_01]: You watch a fourth quarter win.
- 1:28:04[SPEAKER_01]: Like, yeah, you know, you want Arch to be your quarterback.
- 1:28:07[SPEAKER_01]: Let's say it's the, I don't know, Arizona Cardinals who are drafted first overall because they're the worst team in the NFL.
- 1:28:13[SPEAKER_01]: Like,
- 1:28:14[SPEAKER_03]: Then they just win though.
- 1:28:15[SPEAKER_03]: We're the worst right now.
- 1:28:16[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I don't think the Cardinals are, but let's say that happens.
- 1:28:23[SPEAKER_01]: Like, is the Cardinals infrastructure bad enough with all that talent around them?
- 1:28:27[SPEAKER_01]: Or arch poles and Eli to go to the Browns?
- 1:28:32[SPEAKER_01]: Like, I don't know.
- 1:28:34[SPEAKER_01]: I just worry about this.
- 1:28:36[SPEAKER_03]: How the Brown will you the way you would like he like he He would like to go the brush the odds he's a bust in the NFL or 100 if you'd You're building the statute for our it's the second half starts the game.
- 1:28:47[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah
- 1:28:48[SPEAKER_03]: Like, if you had arts willingly come out and say, no, I want to play for the Browns.
- 1:28:52[SPEAKER_01]: Do you know how crazy that would be crazy?
- 1:28:55[SPEAKER_01]: That would be crazy.
- 1:28:55[SPEAKER_01]: But this is a lot on what tie this back together.
- 1:28:58[SPEAKER_01]: A long-winded way of me saying, there are people out there who are a lot smarter than us.
- 1:29:03[SPEAKER_01]: Know a lot more than us have been in this field longer than we have that are genuinely worried about quarterback prospects where the Browns are.
- 1:29:11[SPEAKER_01]: probably looking at a quarterback this draft class, right?
- 1:29:14[SPEAKER_01]: They are genuinely worried about those prospect potentially looking at Cleveland and what's going on right now having ripple effects on them.
- 1:29:20[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think that can go overlooked.
- 1:29:22[SPEAKER_02]: My only fear, because I think it could be absolutely true, Max.
- 1:29:26[SPEAKER_02]: If you're looking at a world where hey, maybe there's six first round caliber quarterbacks and I think I'm guy five and I'm going to go at 18, but I could go make six million dollars to go back to college.
- 1:29:36[SPEAKER_02]: Absolutely, I think there's a ton of guy like maybe like a CJ car could be a guy who's doing that right and I Also, I'm a little worried after like what is you end up being the drew hour or the car's in back who goes back Yeah, and now like hey, I'm not trying to cast any stones.
- 1:29:50[SPEAKER_02]: I know you're like don't say more man Let's go and not number 21 in the country like I looked at the athletic to their top 10 college You've used through two weeks don't say more is out the top 10
- 1:30:00[SPEAKER_01]: I think that's a little bit.
- 1:30:00[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, no, it is.
- 1:30:01[SPEAKER_02]: But I'm saying, like, to show you, though, it does.
- 1:30:03[SPEAKER_02]: He would have gone number it.
- 1:30:04[SPEAKER_02]: He could be starting week one is a number two overall pick in the draft for the judge.
- 1:30:07[SPEAKER_02]: If he went to the NFL and he's not even in some top 10 lists, like that's still fair to say.
- 1:30:12[SPEAKER_01]: That is a risk you run.
- 1:30:13[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
- 1:30:14[SPEAKER_02]: That's all the time we have for today's episode, all the big click even show Max Zay.
- 1:30:19[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you so much for joining us as always.
- 1:30:21[SPEAKER_02]: We back tomorrow, 12 to 130 Matt Fontana, Ryan Tyler, and the whole gang.
