- 0:27Hey everybody, good morning from the chicken coop.
- 0:31So food for thought today. What does complaining do for
- 0:35you? What does gratitude do for you?
- 0:38So it's been said that gratitude is serving the law of increase.
- 0:43Meaning you're so grateful for all of what you have and all the
- 0:46small things that you will automatically increase just
- 0:49because you have. Gratitude and complaining is
- 0:54serving the law of decrease. Meaning you don't like what you
- 0:57have, so it's going to be, you know, taken away.
- 1:00You're going to just watch everything melt away.
- 1:02The more you complain, the more things get out of hand, the more
- 1:07you lose. And I love the thoughts of this.
- 1:11And I love. That it brings so much to us
- 1:14when we start to realize that that's the case, because it is
- 1:17100% true that there is something to be said for people
- 1:21who complain find more to complain about.
- 1:24We. Most of us have heard that
- 1:25phrase before, and the truth is that that is not an accident.
- 1:31When people complain, when they find things to just constantly
- 1:35talk about and complain about, what they're doing is setting in
- 1:38motion. The energy of the universe, law
- 1:41of attraction to say, oh, that's what I want, even though that's
- 1:44not what they want, it's irrelevant because it wherever
- 1:47your energy goes, something is going to happen with that.
- 1:50So where your emotions go, energy flows.
- 1:53So if your emotions are about complaining, guess what's going
- 1:56to happen? You're going to get more things
- 1:58to complain about. And guess what?
- 2:00Life is not going to be the way you want it to be, and you're
- 2:02going to be. Absolutely.
- 2:04On the decrease, you're not going to be increasing, You're
- 2:07going to be decreasing. And I can guarantee you that
- 2:10sucks and you are going to feel awful about it.
- 2:14So why do we do it? Why do we do this anyway?
- 2:16Well, it's a habit. Complaining is a habit.
- 2:19It's a way people connect. And it is an awful, ugly habit.
- 2:23And I just, I I found over the years, the older I get, the more
- 2:28I cannot be around people that complain.
- 2:30I just can't. It's like having, you know, the
- 2:35black cloud move in and you just like, Oh no.
- 2:39And you don't want to stand next to them at a party.
- 2:41You certainly don't want to sit next to them.
- 2:42You don't want to get on the phone with them.
- 2:44You don't want to hear them talk about their problems all the
- 2:46time. You don't want to hear them talk
- 2:49about, you know, even the worries, like worries are just
- 2:53an extension of the problem because they haven't even
- 2:55happened yet. But you're going to bring them
- 2:56in. So you're activating the law of
- 2:59decrease. Every time you do this, when you
- 3:03step into gratitude, you activate the law of increase.
- 3:07So you're grateful. And it might not be.
- 3:10Listen, things happen. I can tell you I have lots of
- 3:12negative things happen in my life.
- 3:15And guess what? I always find things to
- 3:18positively outweigh them. And it doesn't matter what it
- 3:21is, OK? You know, the other day I was
- 3:24stupid example, but pertinent. I came out to the chicken coop.
- 3:28And I everybody's lots of chickens are molting right now.
- 3:32It's been so hot. It's been gross, so humid.
- 3:35And if I were them, I would feel like crap being out here all the
- 3:38time too. Well, they're out.
- 3:40They're all hiding, you know, they're doing their thing.
- 3:42And I go to collect eggs and we have an abundance of chickens, I
- 3:48think 43 right this minute. And I go.
- 3:51You would think I, and most of them should be laying eggs.
- 3:55I go and they're only 10 eggs and I'm like, Oh my gosh, we
- 3:59only got 10 eggs. That sucks.
- 4:02Now, first of all, I don't eat 10 eggs a day.
- 4:05And I don't sell my eggs. I give them away.
- 4:07So what am I complaining about? Why am I even recognizing that?
- 4:11And I and the second I said, I said to myself, why are you even
- 4:14saying something like that? What is the difference?
- 4:17It doesn't even matter. We don't eat 10 eggs a day.
- 4:20And I was like, huh? That's interesting.
- 4:23Instantly I turned around and said I'm grateful for the 10
- 4:25eggs that I have. I'm so grateful for the 10 eggs
- 4:28that I have. Next day I came out 22 eggs.
- 4:32Now one could sit there and say. They would have done that
- 4:35anyway. And maybe, maybe that's true.
- 4:37But here's what I know to be true.
- 4:39I felt better the moment I changed my attitude about it.
- 4:42I felt better the moment I decided to focus on the
- 4:45gratitude for the 10 that I had and not bitch about the 22 that
- 4:49I didn't get, or the 30 that I didn't get or the 40 that I
- 4:52didn't get. What I did was I focused on
- 4:54something else. And that's the key to the whole
- 4:57entire thing. That is the key.
- 5:00So when you start to hear yourself in your head, catch
- 5:03yourself and say, am I working towards my increase or my
- 5:07decrease? Am I focused on my complaining
- 5:10or my gratitude? Am I cultivating the habit of
- 5:13gratitude or my cultivating the habit of complaining, which
- 5:18sucks and nobody likes it. I can guarantee you, if you're
- 5:22out there complaining, nobody wants to be around you.
- 5:25So stop it, OK? Anyway.
- 5:30Go out, find this for yourself. Check in with yourself and see
- 5:34if you are on the increase or the decrease.
- 5:37All right my friends, I hope you have a magical day and I will
- 5:40see you tomorrow. Bye.
