- 0:05Speaker 1: of the seven arch Angels, And these are the names
- 0:08Speaker 1: of the Holy Angels who watch. Uriel, one of the
- 0:11Speaker 1: Holy Angels who is over the world and over Tatarus. Raphael,
- 0:16Speaker 1: one of the Holy Angels who is over the spirits
- 0:18Speaker 1: of men. Raguel, one of the Holy Angels who takes
- 0:23Speaker 1: vengeance on the world of the luminaries. Michael, one of
- 0:26Speaker 1: the Holy Angels to wit he is set over the
- 0:29Speaker 1: best part of mankind and over chaos. Sarcreel, one of
- 0:34Speaker 1: the Holy Angels who is set over the spirits who
- 0:36Speaker 1: sin in the spirit Gabriel, one of the Holy Angels
- 0:40Speaker 1: who is over Paradise and the serpents in the Cherubim.
- 0:44Speaker 1: Ramael one of the Holy Angels whom Gods set over
- 0:48Speaker 1: those who rise. Chapter twenty one Preliminary and final place
- 0:53Speaker 1: of punishment of the fallen Angels. Stars. And I proceeded
- 0:57Speaker 1: to where things were chaotic, and I saw there something horrible.
- 1:01Speaker 1: I saw neither a heaven above nor firmly founded earth,
- 1:05Speaker 1: but a place chaotic and horrible. And there I saw
- 1:09Speaker 1: seven stars of the heaven bound together in it like
- 1:12Speaker 1: great mountains, and burning with fire. Then I said, for
- 1:15Speaker 1: what sinner they bound? And on what account have they
- 1:17Speaker 1: been cast in hither? Then said Uriel, one of the
- 1:21Speaker 1: Holy angels, who was with me and was chief over them,
- 1:24Speaker 1: and said, Enoch, why dost thou ask? And why art
- 1:27Speaker 1: thou eager for the truth? These are the number of
- 1:31Speaker 1: the stars of heaven which have transgressed the commandment of
- 1:34Speaker 1: the Lord, and are bound here till ten thousand years,
- 1:38Speaker 1: the time entilled by their sins are consummated. And from
- 1:42Speaker 1: thence I went to another place, which was still more
- 1:45Speaker 1: horrible than the former. And I saw a horrible thing,
- 1:48Speaker 1: a great fire there, which burned and blazed, and the
- 1:51Speaker 1: place was cleft as far as the abyss, being full
- 1:54Speaker 1: of great descending columns of fire. Neither its extent or
- 1:58Speaker 1: magnitude could I I see, nor could I conjecture. Then
- 2:03Speaker 1: I said, how fearful is this place? And how terrible
- 2:05Speaker 1: to look upon? Then Uriel answered me, one of the
- 2:09Speaker 1: Holy angels, who was with me, and said, unto me, Enoch,
- 2:12Speaker 1: why hast thou such fear and affright? And I answered,
- 2:17Speaker 1: because of this fearful place, and because of the spectacle
- 2:20Speaker 1: of the pain. And He's said unto me, this place
- 2:23Speaker 1: is the prison of the angels, and here they will
- 2:26Speaker 1: be imprisoned forever Chapter twenty two, Shiel or the underworld.
- 2:32Speaker 1: And thence I went to another place, and he showed
- 2:35Speaker 1: me in the west another great high mountain and of
- 2:38Speaker 1: hard rock, and there was in it four hollow places,
- 2:42Speaker 1: deep and wide, and very smooth. How smooth are the
- 2:45Speaker 1: hollow places, and deep and dark to look at. Then
- 2:49Speaker 1: Raphael answered one of the holy angels who was with me,
- 2:52Speaker 1: and said, unto me, these hollow places have been created
- 2:55Speaker 1: for this very purpose, that the spirits of the souls
- 2:58Speaker 1: of the dead should assemble Therein yea, that all the
- 3:01Speaker 1: souls of the children of men should assemble here. And
- 3:04Speaker 1: these places have been made to receive them till the
- 3:07Speaker 1: day of their judgment, until their appointed period, till the
- 3:11Speaker 1: period appointed till the great judgment comes upon them. I
- 3:15Speaker 1: saw the spirits of the children of men who were dead,
- 3:18Speaker 1: and their voice went forth to heaven and made suit.
- 3:22Speaker 1: Then I asked Rafael, the angel who was with me,
- 3:24Speaker 1: and I said, unto him, this spirit, whose is it?
- 3:27Speaker 1: Whose voice goeth forth and maketh suit. And he answered me, saying,
- 3:31Speaker 1: this is the spirit which went forth from Abel, whom
- 3:34Speaker 1: his brother Cain slew, and he makes his suit against him,
- 3:38Speaker 1: till his seed is destroyed from the face of the earth,
- 3:41Speaker 1: and his seed is annihilated from amongst the seed of men.
- 3:45Speaker 1: Then I asked, regarding it, and regarding all the hollow places,
- 3:48Speaker 1: why as one separated from the other. And he answered me,
- 3:52Speaker 1: and said, unto me, these three have been made that
- 3:54Speaker 1: the spirits of the dead might be separated. And such
- 3:58Speaker 1: a division has been made for the spirits of the righteous,
- 4:01Speaker 1: in which there is the bright spring of water. And
- 4:04Speaker 1: such has been made for sinners, when they die and
- 4:06Speaker 1: are buried in the earth, and judgment has not been
- 4:09Speaker 1: executed on them in their lifetime. Here their spirits shall
- 4:13Speaker 1: be set apart in this great pain till the great
- 4:15Speaker 1: day of judgment and punishment and torment of those who
- 4:18Speaker 1: curse forever and retribution for their spirits. There he shall
- 4:23Speaker 1: bind them forever. And such a division has been made
- 4:26Speaker 1: for the spirits of those who make their suit, who
- 4:29Speaker 1: make disclosures concerning their destruction when they were slain in
- 4:32Speaker 1: the days of the sinners. Such has been made for
- 4:35Speaker 1: the spirits of men who were not righteous, but sinners
- 4:38Speaker 1: who were complete in transgression, and of the transgressors they
- 4:43Speaker 1: shall be companions. But their spirits shall not be slain
- 4:46Speaker 1: in the day of judgment, nor shall they be raised.
- 4:48Speaker 1: From thence, then I bless the Lord of Glory, and said,
- 4:52Speaker 1: blessed be my Lord, the Lord of Righteousness, who ruleth forever.
- 4:56Speaker 1: Chapter twenty three. The fire that deals with the luminary
- 4:59Speaker 1: sad of Heaven. From thence I went to another place,
- 5:02Speaker 1: to the west of the ends of the earth, and
- 5:05Speaker 1: I saw a burning fire which ran without resting, and
- 5:08Speaker 1: paused not from its course day or night, but ran regularly.
- 5:12Speaker 1: And I ask, saying, what is this which rests not?
- 5:16Speaker 1: Then Braguell, one of the Holy angels, who was with me,
- 5:19Speaker 1: answered me and said, nto me, this course of fire
- 5:23Speaker 1: which thou hast seen, is the fire in the west,
- 5:25Speaker 1: which persecutes all the luminaries of heaven chapter twenty four
- 5:31Speaker 1: and twenty five, the seven mountains in the northwest, and
- 5:35Speaker 1: the Tree of Life chapter twenty four. And from thence
- 5:39Speaker 1: I went to another place of the earth, and he
- 5:41Speaker 1: showed me a mountain range of fire which burnt day
- 5:43Speaker 1: and night. And I went beyond it and saw seven
- 5:46Speaker 1: magnificent mountains, all differing each from the other, and the
- 5:50Speaker 1: stones thereof were magnificent and beautiful, magnificent as a whole,
- 5:55Speaker 1: of glorious appearance and fair exterior. Three towards the east
- 6:00Speaker 1: one found it on the other, and three towards the south,
- 6:03Speaker 1: one upon the other. And deep rough ravines, no one
- 6:08Speaker 1: of which joined with any other. And the seventh mountain
- 6:11Speaker 1: was in the midst of these, and it excelled them
- 6:14Speaker 1: in height, resembling the seat of a throne. And fragrant
- 6:18Speaker 1: trees encircled the throne, and amongst them was a tree
- 6:21Speaker 1: such as I had never yet smelt. Neither was any
- 6:24Speaker 1: among them, nor were others like it. It had a
- 6:27Speaker 1: fragrance beyond all fragrance, and its leaves and blooms and
- 6:31Speaker 1: wood whither not forever. And its fruit is beautiful, and
- 6:36Speaker 1: its fruit resembles the dates of a palm. Then I said,
- 6:40Speaker 1: how beautiful is this tree and fragrant, and its leaves
- 6:43Speaker 1: are fair, and its blooms very delightful in appearance. Then
- 6:47Speaker 1: answered Michael, one of the holy un honored angels, who
- 6:50Speaker 1: was with me and was their leader Chapter twenty five.
- 6:55Speaker 1: And he said, unto me, Enoch, why dost thou ask
- 6:58Speaker 1: me regarding the fragrance the tree, And why dost thou
- 7:01Speaker 1: wish to learn the truth. Then I answered him, saying,
- 7:05Speaker 1: I wish to know about everything, but especially about this tree.
- 7:09Speaker 1: And he answered saying, this high mountain which thou hast seen,
- 7:12Speaker 1: whose summit is like the throne of God, is his
- 7:15Speaker 1: throne where the Holy Great One, the Lord of Glory,
- 7:18Speaker 1: the Eternal King, will sit, when he shall come down
- 7:22Speaker 1: to visit the earth with goodness. And as for this
- 7:25Speaker 1: fragrant tree, no mortal is permitted to touch it till
- 7:28Speaker 1: the Great Judgment, when He shall take vengeance on all
- 7:31Speaker 1: and bring everything to its consummation forever. It shall then
- 7:35Speaker 1: be given to the righteous and holy. Its fruit shall
- 7:38Speaker 1: be for food to the elect. It shall be transplanted
- 7:42Speaker 1: to the Holy Place, to the temple of the Lord,
- 7:44Speaker 1: the Eternal King. Then shall they rejoice with joy and
- 7:48Speaker 1: be glad. And into the Holy Place shall they enter,
- 7:51Speaker 1: And its fragrance shall be in their bones, and they
- 7:54Speaker 1: shall live a long life on earth, such as thy
- 7:57Speaker 1: fathers lived, and in their days shall no sorrow or plague,
- 8:01Speaker 1: or torment or calamity touched them. Then I bless the
- 8:04Speaker 1: God of glory, the Eternal King, who hath prepared such
- 8:07Speaker 1: things for the righteous, and hath created them and promised
- 8:10Speaker 1: to give to them. And of section four
