- 0:00Speaker 1: All right, guys, here we are, last break of the day.
- 0:02Speaker 1: It's been a fun day. And Steve, yeah, you.
- 0:11Speaker 2: Know, I was talking with the guy last night who
- 0:14Speaker 2: was he's a professional fisherman. He fishes on the Bass
- 0:20Speaker 2: tour and he well, he has so many aspirations for
- 0:26Speaker 2: so many other things. He's a retired veteran and he's
- 0:29Speaker 2: a retired police officer. So he went and did the
- 0:33Speaker 2: thing he was passionate about. He started fishing, and he
- 0:38Speaker 2: got some sponsors. He's got the boat with all the
- 0:41Speaker 2: logos on it to Jersey with all the logos on it,
- 0:44Speaker 2: the truck with all the logos on it. It's pretty good.
- 0:47Speaker 2: It's a heck of a nice guy. And we were
- 0:50Speaker 2: talking last night at dinner, and he was telling me
- 0:55Speaker 2: how much more he wanted, and I was trying to
- 0:58Speaker 2: remind him of but he'd accomplished already. From the time
- 1:03Speaker 2: he was a little boy. He said all he wanted
- 1:05Speaker 2: to do was fish, and he would cut out pictures
- 1:09Speaker 2: of Jimmy Houston and Bill Dance and put him on
- 1:12Speaker 2: his wall and stuff. And all his pictures on his
- 1:16Speaker 2: wall wasn't basketball players, it was fishermen. And so I
- 1:21Speaker 2: reminded him. Do you realize, man, you're saying you want more,
- 1:25Speaker 2: but you already know how. You envisioned it, You wrote
- 1:31Speaker 2: it down, you took the pictures. I said, you made
- 1:34Speaker 2: a dream board on your wall as a little boy.
- 1:37Speaker 2: And now look at me. Man, you got this boat
- 1:39Speaker 2: out here, you got this truck, you got all these sponsorships.
- 1:44Speaker 2: And he was understanding what I was saying, and then
- 1:47Speaker 2: he said, yeah, but I want so much more. I said, okay, well,
- 1:52Speaker 2: let's go back over this again. What did you do
- 1:55Speaker 2: to get what you have acquired thus for? And he
- 1:59Speaker 2: explained process. I said, then you have to do it again.
- 2:03Speaker 2: He said, but I've already done that. No, man, you
- 2:07Speaker 2: don't understand. Repetition is the key to success. Redundancy is
- 2:13Speaker 2: the key to success. Don't ever get tired of doing well.
- 2:18Speaker 2: Don't ever get tired of doing good. The Bible has
- 2:22Speaker 2: a scripture of something like that. I can't remember what
- 2:25Speaker 2: it is, never ceasing. I don't know something anyway. I
- 2:30Speaker 2: just know that you got to stay the course. A
- 2:33Speaker 2: guy talked his lesson to me when I was about
- 2:35Speaker 2: twenty one years old. Twenty two, I was laid off
- 2:39Speaker 2: from Ford Motor Company and this guy lived in the building,
- 2:43Speaker 2: older guy, and they had a ping pong room in
- 2:46Speaker 2: the building that I lived in, and we sho go
- 2:48Speaker 2: down there. It was four of us, man and we
- 2:50Speaker 2: used to play ping pong all day, had tournaments and everything.
- 2:53Speaker 2: We were all laid off from Ford Motor Company. And
- 2:56Speaker 2: this older guy, he knew that one of my strong
- 3:00Speaker 2: suits playing ping pong was my forehand. So all he
- 3:04Speaker 2: would do is hit the ball to my forehand. I smash,
- 3:08Speaker 2: hit the ball to my forehand, smash, smash, smash, And
- 3:12Speaker 2: then I got tired of doing it because I thought
- 3:14Speaker 2: the dude, I said, man, is he slow? So I
- 3:16Speaker 2: started doing a backhand, hitting it back and then he
- 3:19Speaker 2: would smashing it good point. And then he told me
- 3:22Speaker 2: one time, he said, why would't I hit it to
- 3:24Speaker 2: your forehand? You try to do something else. I said, man,
- 3:28Speaker 2: because I got tired of you hitting it over there.
- 3:30Speaker 2: I just wanted to do something else. He said, Man,
- 3:32Speaker 2: don't ever stop. Don't ever get tired of what you do.
- 3:37Speaker 2: To become successful, you just have to get in the
- 3:41Speaker 2: pattern of doing it over and over and over. And
- 3:44Speaker 2: what happens to people is you think, since you've done
- 3:46Speaker 2: it so many times, you want to try something new,
- 3:49Speaker 2: that's not always the case. You've got to be repetitive
- 3:54Speaker 2: with it. The thing you did to acquire a little bit,
- 3:58Speaker 2: suppose you compound that thing, Why would it not help
- 4:02Speaker 2: you make a lot? Okay, so if you put this
- 4:04Speaker 2: fishing boat on your board as a child, you put
- 4:07Speaker 2: all these pictures of Bill dancing Jimmy Houston on your wall,
- 4:10Speaker 2: And now you find yourself with a boat and a truck,
- 4:13Speaker 2: and you fish on a bass pro tournament, you get
- 4:19Speaker 2: paid the fish. Why don't you do the same thing again?
- 4:24Speaker 2: Why don't you put how much you want to make
- 4:26Speaker 2: on your wall, on your refrigerator, on your phone. Because
- 4:32Speaker 2: it's the same scripture that applies to all of us
- 4:35Speaker 2: over and over and over. And I just had to
- 4:38Speaker 2: remind myself of something, and I had to sit down
- 4:41Speaker 2: with my Bible, my ink pen, and my paper, and
- 4:44Speaker 2: I had to write it myself because I was wanting
- 4:46Speaker 2: something that I hadn't written. Rebeka two and two says,
- 4:50Speaker 2: write the vision and make it plain, so that he
- 4:52Speaker 2: who reads it will run to it, and even though
- 4:55Speaker 2: it terry, wait for it, for surely it will come
- 4:59Speaker 2: at an appointed time. What that means is simply this
- 5:04Speaker 2: everything you want. You have to write the vision and
- 5:07Speaker 2: make it plain. It's no way around that. It's not
- 5:11Speaker 2: another way. It's the way you did it when you
- 5:16Speaker 2: put their fishing boats and fish on your walls. Y'all,
- 5:20Speaker 2: don't ever stop getting tired of doing the things that
- 5:23Speaker 2: got you successful. What got you a little successful can
- 5:27Speaker 2: get you a lot of success if you do it repetitively,
- 5:30Speaker 2: over and over and over, and stop thinking that it's
- 5:36Speaker 2: not for you because God created you for you to prosper.
- 5:43Speaker 2: God don't need no super poor Christians. He don't need that.
- 5:49Speaker 2: He don't need you to be poor to prove what point.
- 5:52Speaker 2: God will allow you to prosper if you line up
- 5:55Speaker 2: with some of the things He's asking you to do.
- 5:59Speaker 2: Please please stop thinking it's not for you, because it is.
- 6:05Speaker 1: You.
- 6:06Speaker 2: You can have a good life. You ain't gotta be rich,
- 6:09Speaker 2: but you ain't got to struggle every time the first
- 6:11Speaker 2: of a month. Come man, you don't think God can
- 6:14Speaker 2: fix that? Whyon't you put it on the board. Put
- 6:20Speaker 2: the number that will help you stop struggling financially on
- 6:23Speaker 2: the board and watch and see what happened. God. Talk
- 6:29Speaker 2: to God today. He'd absolutely love to hear from you.
- 6:32Speaker 2: God is in the blessed bed since y'all he really is.
- 6:35Speaker 2: He tells it all the time.
