Latest / After-Hours with Faction! Motorsports / #188 - Daikoku NYC: Meets, Community, and NYC Car Culture
Transcript
- 0:00It started off, it's just like I got a cool car.
- 0:02I want to find other people with like cool car.
- 0:04I want to talk to them about my cool car.
- 0:06And then I'm old now, so like all my friends don't do stuff
- 0:10like this anymore. They're old, they have families.
- 0:13The only car meat that I've been to where it feels like you're
- 0:17with a family. It's not just the cars like
- 0:19We've met photographers, we've met videographers, we've met
- 0:22DJs, we've met dancers, models like.
- 0:25A lot of people leave of forming new friendships, new
- 0:27relationships, new whatever. I literally met my fiance out of
- 0:32out of meet. Really welcome back everybody to
- 0:35another episode of the After Hours podcast.
- 0:37We got to sit down with Stan Krista and Turbo of Daikoku NYC,
- 0:41which is a car club or organization that sets up meets
- 0:44and events primarily focused in the New York City area.
- 0:47This conversation was awesome. I found these guys through
- 0:50Instagram a year or two ago and have been interested in how they
- 0:53go about setting these up in some of the busiest parts of New
- 0:56York City. These meets are they seem very
- 0:59organized and like I said, it's just it's kind of chaotic there.
- 1:04If you've been to New York City, you know, we're very close to
- 1:06it. If you ever been to Manhattan,
- 1:09you know how crazy it is those, those streets.
- 1:11So to have a bunch of cars meet up there and just take over the
- 1:15area, it's, it's not easy. So I really wanted to sit down
- 1:18and kind of learn about how they got started and how they go
- 1:22about doing these meets. We covered a lot of ground in
- 1:25this chat. I hope you guys enjoyed this as
- 1:27much as me and Carl did. But before jumping into this,

- 3:19You're hot. He said yeah, before.
- 3:21And then I said damn right we're hot.
- 3:24Just for the just for the people who missed that first part.
- 3:27But welcome everybody to the Faction After Hours podcast.
- 3:30We're going to bring you another episode tonight.
- 3:32We have a few guests. We actually have a full room in
- 3:34here for the first time in a while.
- 3:35Yes, but we have Krista, Turbo and Stan from Daikoku NYC.
- 3:40Give them a man live audience. By the way, totally live.
- 3:45Well, thanks. Thank you guys for coming, Juan.
- 3:46Thank. You for having.
- 3:48Us far as hell drive. It sucks.
- 3:50Well. It's not far, but it's far.
- 3:52It's not literally. Far, but it's.
- 3:53Yeah, it was 5 o'clock 6:00 you're trying to drive I.
- 3:56Live right across the bridge. That's.
- 3:57Gotta be way closer. I mean, I left at like 4
- 4:00something and I still got here, yeah, I left at like 4 something
- 4:04and I still got here at like 6 something, so.
- 4:07That that's two hours a. Little less.
- 4:09Turbo turbo swam here. Basically.
- 4:12Right across the bridge. I know, yeah.
- 4:14Uptown Manhattan right there, so.
- 4:16Damn, you're rich. Yeah, what?
- 4:19Rose said. Uptown man.
- 4:21Wrong part of Uptown. And I know the snow is probably
- 4:25making a mess over there too. Yeah.
- 4:27What was that like these past couple of days?
- 4:28Was that terrible? Like stay indoors.
- 4:30It was bad. Yeah, it was bad.
- 4:32That's I couldn't. Yeah, that sounds fucking
- 4:36horrible. I'm not even going to hold you.
- 4:38The car's getting buried and stuff like that.
- 4:40And then I seen a lot of you guys don't have shovels out
- 4:43there in the city. Go get shovels.
- 4:45Huh. That's why you got shoes, man.
- 4:46That's but then the car, I saw somebody.
- 4:49Scraping. Like whatever you can basically
- 4:52bags like. Oh my goodness, God.
- 4:54I mean, even the streets around here are bad and I think about
- 4:56in Manhattan and I'm like, it's probably a disaster because I
- 4:59got nowhere to put the snow. I mean the.
- 5:01City is a little bit better. I feel like in the city it it's
- 5:04hotter all the trains. Are out yeah, like actual man
- 5:06so. It kind of like warms up a bit,
- 5:08but then once you go into the outer boroughs, it's, yeah, some
- 5:10places like deep Queens and get really bad parts of Brook and
- 5:13get bad. But aren't they like boiling the
- 5:15snow down and like dumping it in the river?
- 5:17I saw that. Oh, really?
- 5:18What, what what, what what? Ideas.
- 5:22I've never heard of this before. Why New York City tap water
- 5:25tastes so good? Because of the snow.
- 5:27Melted down snow. It's all the minerals.
- 5:30Actually, that's beautiful. Everyone's why the pizza taste
- 5:33good. Everyone's like the Hudson
- 5:34River's gonna freeze. I was like, it's definitely not
- 5:37gonna freeze solid. But no, but there, there was
- 5:39like a bunch of videos that I saw where the East River froze
- 5:42over a bit of it and like there were.
- 5:44Were people trying to cross that?
- 5:45Shit. No, no, no, I was.
- 5:47Gonna. Say this.
- 5:47Oh my God, no. I don't know about those people
- 5:50that like going and swimming and shit.
- 5:52Like it's like, why? Why would you even think about
- 5:54doing shit like? That, but it's, I wouldn't want
- 5:56to swim in that when it's warm out, yeah.
- 5:57Where? Which one of the bodies of water
- 5:59in New York is the one that people are like, they're like,
- 6:02oh, the water here isn't as bad. I swim in the water here all the
- 6:06time. I think they do it in the East,
- 6:07yeah, in the Hudson River now, like I, I.
- 6:09Always I would never in a million years bro.
- 6:12Right. Why?
- 6:13Yeah, like growing up you always heard like, never go on those
- 6:17waters. Like, never bodies in there.
- 6:18Never. Don't go in there.
- 6:19Yeah, ever. Yeah, we heard the same thing.
- 6:21But you know the water by Mitsuwa, like, you know, in
- 6:24Edgewater, there's a little down there like a little coast, like
- 6:29a little beach. Quote UN quote area, you guys.
- 6:32Probably have meats there too, yeah.
- 6:34That's a that was a great spot for a long fucking dime.
- 6:37Like I mean very. Small like it is it?
- 6:39Is a. Lot of cars in there so.
- 6:42Yeah, I mean limited. But it is cool.
- 6:44Carlos from Northeast Right Hand Drive does meats there all the
- 6:48time. Yeah, and it looks great.
- 6:50You know, and like we'll come out and we'll support the meats
- 6:52like that he does there and but I don't know, it doesn't seem
- 6:56like we should hold any meats there.
- 6:58I feel the same way when I see that spot, when I see people
- 7:00meeting there, I'm like, that's really cool, but I feel like
- 7:02it's not big enough. Like it's just it'll get slammed
- 7:06because even if you go on a weekend, the thing's already
- 7:08packed with people there. So many people who are doing,
- 7:11trying to just live their lives, and then all you're hearing from
- 7:15out inside is. It's like, it's to the point
- 7:19where like people actually parked at the fire lane and.
- 7:22They just blocked the. Fire by that like bubble.
- 7:25Tea Spot, Yeah. In the back, yeah.
- 7:27Yeah, honestly never understood that bubble tea business.
- 7:30That's like a beautiful building for a bubble tea.
- 7:32Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, what I thought that was an
- 7:35it was it. Was probably a steakhouse or
- 7:37some shit at one point, but then they left.
- 7:38I think it was. Yeah, I think that's right.
- 7:40Oh it. Was a hibachi spot thank.
- 7:42You. Thank you.
- 7:43That would be good. Now they closed it and it moved
- 7:45like literally like across into like where the other stores are.
- 7:48And it's like a little tiny spot.
- 7:50Yeah, right out. There.
- 7:51Oh wait, So what? So what is that now?
- 7:52It's a. It's just empty.
- 7:53It's empty. That's where we're gonna have
- 7:55Frankie's Sweet 16. Dude that's a such a fucking six
- 7:59spot for a fucking company party.
- 8:01That is, dude. What I just remember that I feel
- 8:06like that spot for us I have, I don't know why.
- 8:08I don't know if it's the same for y'all, but years ago that
- 8:12was like a spot where you could like congregate with your
- 8:14friends at night when that place was like about to close.
- 8:17You could still maybe get food, you could just park right there.
- 8:21Look at the city like we're looking at y'all from over here.
- 8:23Yeah, that's like our spot, like.
- 8:25Oh. Wow, dude, yeah, we're so small,
- 8:27man. Like this is cool.
- 8:30And the Edgewater spot, our Edgewater meat spot, which was
- 8:32like a big thing like 10 years ago or 15 years ago almost was
- 8:35right next to there. So and that that fucking meat
- 8:39was crazy. Was that the target or the other
- 8:41way? That is the target.
- 8:43Target, yeah. Yeah.
- 8:44The target also has a really nice view even till this day.
- 8:47That Outback steakhouses. Top to you, Top to you, Yeah,
- 8:50Everything over there on the water is nice, honestly.
- 8:53Dude like that, that that is that for some reason was so rich
- 8:57in automotive culture. And ironically, it's like the
- 8:59closest spot to the city. Yeah.
- 9:01But where the hell do you guys go?
- 9:03Yeah, it must be a whole. Different.
- 9:04I mean, in Queens it's Fort Totten.
- 9:06Everyone's over at Fort Totten's over there.
- 9:08Fort Totten, can you? Look that up, Malcolm Totten.
- 9:11Totten yeah, it's. Under, under the Whitestone
- 9:15Bridge. Whitestone, Yeah.
- 9:16Is it? Like a Brookstone, Yeah.
- 9:17Is it throws now it's like in between the car click on a map
- 9:19that. Was the Whitestone It's like
- 9:23underneath the bridge. Zoom out.
- 9:26Zoom out. Yeah.
- 9:27Yeah. There you.
- 9:28Go. It's a little OK.
- 9:30Such a cool spot on a map. What?
- 9:32The Yeah. So a lot of people go out.
- 9:34There. But like in the last five years
- 9:37it's been like it's hectic. What do you mean?
- 9:40So I remember, so I went this, this is way before that koku.
- 9:43I went to a meet just to show up there and literally the cops
- 9:48closed every single exit, blocked one off, and then there
- 9:52was one cop in every car that was leaving.
- 9:54Got a ticket everybody? Everybody.
- 9:57Everybody and for everything. Tints.
- 9:59Yep, loud everything. That's that's that's called We
- 10:02don't want you back. Yeah, yeah, yeah, exactly what
- 10:04that was. Yeah.
- 10:05I mean. They sent a message.
- 10:07Really, that's what. They did to us at Edgewater,
- 10:09like a long time ago. They just had cops there and
- 10:11they just, they're like, oh, y'all can come in.
- 10:13Yeah. And then they just take everyone
- 10:14on the way out. On the way out?
- 10:16Yeah, absolutely. They must have made 10s of
- 10:18thousands of. Dollars and they like I remember
- 10:19there was one cop walking around like you need to use the
- 10:21bathroom 'cause we were there for like 2 hours just literally
- 10:24just idling for two hours waiting for everyone to like,
- 10:26you need to use the bathroom. There's a bathroom.
- 10:29While you're online. While you're online.
- 10:32Yeah. Did they ever bring a?
- 10:34They ever bring like a, what do you call it?
- 10:36Like a sniffer out? No, no, no, no, no.
- 10:38That would have been. Bad.
- 10:39They brought that shit on me once.
- 10:41I was like, Oh my God. Exhaust, I thought, dude, they
- 10:44bought a. Drug everything like they did
- 10:47every. They had people on roofs and
- 10:48shit like it was crazy. Those meets were crazy.
- 10:52Got 240. SX what are we talking about?
- 10:55It was. Crazy.
- 10:56It was like they had swam, swam on the roof.
- 10:58I'm like, I was like, that was the closest we got to Fast
- 11:00Furious. That's all I'll say.
- 11:02Like in this area, that was the closest it ever got.
- 11:04That's ridiculous just for cars. Yeah, yeah.
- 11:07How long have there was some crazy shit going on, but not
- 11:09that crazy. You know what?
- 11:11I. Mean, I mean even that four ton,
- 11:12it's not official me people just know they go there and they hang
- 11:15out and stuff. So it's right by 4 ton.
- 11:17There's like a 711 over by there that people go to.
- 11:20And then before then or even now, they're the Marina in
- 11:24Flushing, which would be like about the water 36.
- 11:31Yeah, close to over here. Yeah, like over here.
- 11:33There's a Marina over here. Yeah, like right over here.
- 11:38Actually, the Marina is right over here where people would
- 11:41hold meats. And then even now there's cars
- 11:44and coffees. That happens over at Fresh
- 11:48Meadows, in the park, over in Fresh Meadows.
- 11:52I feel like, yeah, you guys just got to find spots and then wait
- 11:54for him to get hot and then leave and then find their spot.
- 11:56I mean, it's, it was always, it's always easier to do like a
- 11:59morning event, but you never get issues from authority or cops
- 12:04stuff in the morning. It's usually at night where they
- 12:07think mischief or something is gonna happen.
- 12:08That's when the Y NS are awake. Always, you know, that's the
- 12:11only time. They come drink.
- 12:13Coffee bro, they don't get up and drink coffee.
- 12:15Now they now they drink matcha. Yeah, they're matcha, Yeah.
- 12:18That's current. Drink matcha.
- 12:20Not have you ever. Do you guys drink?
- 12:22Terrible it. It.
- 12:23Does not taste. It does not do.
- 12:25It does not taste bad. It does not taste.
- 12:27Good. I like green tea, but like.
- 12:29That OK, so maybe you actually might enjoy it for a week.
- 12:31It's alright. Yeah, so I'll.
- 12:33Dabble in there. Dude, the how long have you guys
- 12:36been like kind of attending meets or just kind of generally
- 12:38in the car scene? Of New York.
- 12:40Like I guess that's all of y'all.
- 12:42Well, I've been doing it for 20 years and being a girl it's hard
- 12:47to find like people. So I did a loan for a while and
- 12:52then I met these people so. Did you guys all meet through
- 12:55this? Like just crime meets and
- 12:57whatnot? Yeah, so.
- 12:58My friend brought me and it was one of their first meets and I
- 13:03was like, I'm coming back again. We just, you know.
- 13:06Started what was the appeal for those that are listening?
- 13:09Cause a lot of a lot of our listeners, sometimes they're
- 13:11very in age groups actually. So like the shit that we talk
- 13:14about sometimes is not translated.
- 13:17So like when you went to a car meet back then, because I know
- 13:21exactly what I'm picturing back then.
- 13:23Everyone's walking around for some reason.
- 13:26There's hookah everywhere because no one had no one had
- 13:31vapes. That was not a thing.
- 13:33Everyone brought their own look up or like whatever.
- 13:35So if you wanted to explain what brought you back that made you
- 13:40want to be like, I'm going to go to another one.
- 13:43So it was just the people basically.
- 13:47It started as like a car thing, but then it just grew into a
- 13:52community. So like we have people that come
- 13:54here to our meets that don't even have cars.
- 13:57Like they'll take the bus, they'll take the subway.
- 13:59Like they don't even own a car and they just come to hang out.
- 14:02So it's beyond cars, it's more of a family.
- 14:06Like I've met some. Of them on some Fast and the
- 14:10Furious shit. I knew you were gonna say that
- 14:12shit. Home now wait, Chris to pull
- 14:14that thing. Yeah, try to pull the whole
- 14:16thing. Pull the whole thing.
- 14:17Yeah. Like that.
- 14:18There we go. Yeah.
- 14:18Perfect. Yeah.
- 14:20So no really though, that's that was like what they said in the
- 14:23movie. What big joke?
- 14:25No, but. As a as a joking aside though,
- 14:28that's that's how me and Chris are friends.
- 14:30Family, yeah. That's really And you don't
- 14:33think I'm gonna invite Chris to like my wedding or like some
- 14:35other big yeah type of event like.
- 14:39It's a common interest. Well, like I've noticed at the
- 14:43track, like people are very family oriented, like someone
- 14:46breaks down, you help them. It's kind of like that.
- 14:48It's like the only car meet that I've been to where it feels like
- 14:53you're with a family. East Coast Drift School, which
- 14:56is located in Englishtown, NJ, is a driving school that offers

- 16:01time attack racing, so people are in, you know, competing with
- 16:05each other. But if someone needs a tool or
- 16:07even if you're a direct competitors, like you're going
- 16:09to tow the guy's car home because that's just how it is.
- 16:12Like it's just a family atmosphere.
- 16:15And I've never been to like a car event where it was not about
- 16:19the cars, it was about the people like, you know, so it was
- 16:24just the vibe when. Did you when did you get into
- 16:27cars? When I was young, I was the only
- 16:30person, no one in my family's in the cars.
- 16:33None of my friends were into cars.
- 16:34But my best friend at the time, her grandma gave her a 1991
- 16:39Integra and I was like, oh, I need one of those for my first
- 16:43car because I'm I'm almost 40. So like this was 20 years ago
- 16:48and yeah, then I've had three integras or a sexist I've.
- 16:52I just bought an S2000. You're a Honda person.
- 16:55I'm a Honda girl and I appreciate your your valve
- 16:58cover. I oh.
- 16:58Yeah, I was. About to say the one the one.
- 17:01Honda thing in here the. 1 Honda thing here and.
- 17:04Actually. Saw the bike.
- 17:05Oh yeah, that's my first motorcycle.
- 17:07Two weeks 2. Weeks ago I walked in here, it
- 17:10was on the shelf and I said what the fuck is this doing here?
- 17:13Yeah. That was a donation.
- 17:15It's like what the fuck? Someone came by and he's like,
- 17:17you want this? I'm like, yeah, kind of.
- 17:19And like. Art piece, it looks.
- 17:21Yeah, Yeah. Why do you like Honda so much?
- 17:23I don't know, because they're easy, they're cheap.
- 17:25I mean, parts are everywhere. There are a lot of well, older
- 17:28Hondas. Parts were more interchangeable.
- 17:30Plus VTech. Come on, I got VTech tattoo.
- 17:33I'm sure you do. I believe it.
- 17:35You're a Honda for life. I worked at Honda for for 15.
- 17:38Years so. What would you do there?
- 17:40Parts. Parts girls.
- 17:42I'm a parts guy. I got it.
- 17:43In here. And I was like, yeah, yeah, my
- 17:46soul is at ease. But I was a Nissan person, so.
- 17:48She works at Nissan now. But Nissan really starting.
- 17:51You're fired. Yeah.
- 17:56Listen, yeah, we deliver parts, OK?
- 17:57Call me. E-mail me what?
- 17:58But in New York. No, I actually live in New
- 18:01Jersey. Where at?
- 18:03I'm, I'm Route 22. OK, yeah.
- 18:05Springfield Nissan. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 18:07OK. Cuz right now I work at
- 18:08Mercedes-Benz. OK, Yeah.
- 18:10And. Springfield Nissan is pretty
- 18:12good, I think I knew someone that worked there at one point.
- 18:15Well, now you know two people that worked there well.
- 18:17Good luck at Nissan. All Nissan people Springfield
- 18:21Nissan. Too, I'm trying to think where
- 18:22it does buy. That's right by the Halal Guys,
- 18:24I think. Yeah.
- 18:25How long you working Honda? I worked there for 15 years.
- 18:28Wow, and I just know you're shit then, yeah.
- 18:31Yeah, but I don't know, something about Hondas just make
- 18:36my soul happy. I get it.
- 18:37It's the same like you're in your favorite car.
- 18:39You're just like the universe is perfect.
- 18:42Okay, I have a question. I have a question there because
- 18:44I like Honda Experience. I liked Honda too.
- 18:48I loved Honda I. Think I like Honda a lot but I
- 18:50don't know it yet. No growing up we were a Honda
- 18:53household. Like I feel like when you're
- 18:54Asian you are either Toyota. You're either or Honda and
- 18:58depending on where Asia you're from, I'm Filipino so it's it's
- 19:01Toyota or Honda that's it. If you're Korean, you have a
- 19:03Honda. Yeah, yeah, it's true.
- 19:05But like Toyota or Honda and I got a Honda.
- 19:10We were a Honda family. Then somebody showed me drifting
- 19:14one time. And it ruined.
- 19:16Everything and it ruined it. So if have you experienced
- 19:19drifting yet? Yes, I've been in drift cars.
- 19:21I went on ride along and you didn't go like.
- 19:24It's an ongoing debate with her. Like.
- 19:28It's non-stop every time we're over.
- 19:30It. No, every time we're like
- 19:31Crystal, we're gonna go drifting this weekend.
- 19:33She's like, I don't care. We're not, I don't care.
- 19:36It just. Doesn't excite me like.
- 19:38It's not fast. Enough for me it's.
- 19:40Like turn. The.
- 19:42Car is ripping, you're not losing traction like you guys
- 19:47like. The new the newer drift scene is
- 19:49is nuts. We got to get you in one of
- 19:51those so that that I. Mean I've been in a lot of cars.
- 19:53The one the ones nowadays? I feel like it's lately it's so
- 19:57far. You can be the.
- 19:58Town and the place she was, she was the last drift car I can
- 20:02remember you being in was TJS, which is the chaser?
- 20:06Which is the chaser that he actually won from Adam LZ?
- 20:11OK. Yeah, the red chaser from like a
- 20:13few years. Back Is this this person I'm
- 20:15thinking of? Malcolm.
- 20:15Ichiban Dodi. Yeah, Ichiban.
- 20:17Oh, it's Rizzo. It's a red chaser with the gold.
- 20:20Yeah, with the. Yeah, yeah.
- 20:22Well, that so that's Oh my God. T JS car and then TJ won that
- 20:25from Adam Elsie from like giveaway a few years back or
- 20:28whatever and she was riding in that like.
- 20:31Oh wait, that's a. Fucking that's an exciting.
- 20:34Yeah, she. Was riding in that like last.
- 20:36Year she's like, where's the V car?
- 20:38No. Where's the G forces?
- 20:40I'm on track and you're turning your body.
- 20:42It's kind of the opposite with drifting along.
- 20:44Drifting, you're just like. Yeah, you're kind of gliding
- 20:47fun, you know? Yeah.
- 20:48So Drifting is really cool to watch and to look at, and it
- 20:52makes great videos and content. Media, it's fun to do.
- 20:56But. It's fun to do.
- 20:58I like to go fast and take. I mean, I this is the car that
- 21:02we're talking about. I appreciate it.
- 21:03I love this. Car.
- 21:04Yeah, yeah, it's cool. I've still yet to meet this guy.
- 21:08Yeah, I don't think I've met him either.
- 21:09Why don't we have him on the fucking?
- 21:10Podcast. Oh, he's, he's in Japan.
- 21:12Oh, OK. Yeah, I like.
- 21:13Him this car this car is here but.
- 21:15He's our friend Rizzo's place, I think.
- 21:17Yeah, I see this car all the time.
- 21:19I never ever meet the owner of this car.
- 21:21Next time TJ comes back I'll I'll yeah dude definitely have
- 21:24him on. This guy, this car is so sick in
- 21:27person it looks like it has. Wait, is this car in Japan?
- 21:32No, it's here. It's literally at something
- 21:34that. Kind of looks like Japan right
- 21:35there. That's New Jersey.
- 21:38Once I realized that that's a stop sign in the back then I'm
- 21:40like OK. It's.
- 21:42It's. The US, when the car is red you
- 21:44don't notice the height as much. Did you notice that?
- 21:48I've never noticed that I'm. Looking at it right now, now I'm
- 21:50noticing it and I'm like, I don't know if I like that.
- 21:55You're saying it's, you're saying it looks high.
- 21:57Oh boy. Just because it's a color.
- 22:00No, it looks lower. It looks when it's red.
- 22:03But you're saying it looks lower when it's red?
- 22:04Yeah, because you don't notice it because the car is so bright.
- 22:07Because the car is so distracting.
- 22:08Yeah, yeah. Is this not what we call EBSU
- 22:11spec or? This is like is this.
- 22:14Respect even a thing in drift culture.
- 22:15I don't know. I don't think it is.
- 22:16I don't know, it might be something in like on the
- 22:20outskirts, but. Oh, that rear looks really good.
- 22:23No, I mean like the height. I think this is like probably as
- 22:25good as it's gonna get. This is still looks really good.
- 22:28I fuck. This is what I would call like
- 22:29it's it's set up to drive. Yeah.
- 22:31You know I mean. And that's what it does.
- 22:33Dude, this car when he's in, like when he's back in New York,
- 22:36that this is his daily, like he dailies this car.
- 22:38Yeah, like this is what he he drives around every single day
- 22:41does. He come to your guys meets too.
- 22:43Yeah, So funny story about TJ, he actually pulled up to the
- 22:46very first one, very like the second one we had.
- 22:49No, no. Was it, was it QCM?
- 22:51Well, one of our first or second meets that we did at Queen
- 22:55Center Mall. And he just pulled up in his
- 22:59like in a Ford Explorer. Respect.
- 23:03All the builds, that's fine. You know, I'm, I'm on the other
- 23:06side because you know, when I, when we do our meets, I'm like
- 23:08the traffic guy. So I'm, you know, I'm sure
- 23:10everyone you know, gets where they need to go.
- 23:12And I'm looking at him and I'm like, I know you like I've seen
- 23:16you before. And then I was, you know, I was
- 23:17waiting for everyone to calm down, everyone, you know, to
- 23:19stop crying at him. And then I realized who he was.
- 23:21And I was like, oh, you wanted to come from Adam.
- 23:23He's like, yeah. I was like, you know, you should
- 23:24bring the cars like, well, it's not ready.
- 23:26It's not here. And then as the as the months
- 23:29went on and, you know, he got cool with everybody and then he
- 23:31eventually brought it out. OK, Yeah.
- 23:33Yeah. I mean, it's definitely a cool
- 23:34car. So Adam LZ built that thing?
- 23:36Yeah. Yeah.
- 23:37Was this the yellow one? No.
- 23:39No, no, see he I think the yellow one was after this one.
- 23:42Oh damn yeah OK I'm so confused on what is where's going I don't
- 23:46even know. I mean, it's all I know is that
- 23:50if Adam LZ built it, it's probably a fucking.
- 23:51Pretty old. It's a really nice car, yeah,
- 23:53probably drives really good. Yeah, he actually blew the
- 23:56motor. God damn it.
- 23:57Well. He did?
- 23:58Yeah, that's. Right.
- 23:58Yeah, one point he blew the motor.
- 23:59Yeah. Not a Toyota fall.
- 24:02No, don't you? No, don't.
- 24:03You tell a Toyota tour when we. Were at a fuel fest, we were
- 24:05drifting at fuel Fest together and he he blew the motor at fuel
- 24:08fest. Too much limiter.
- 24:10You know what I just realized? Damn.
- 24:12He's good at making it look like he's in Japan at every time.
- 24:14Look. At look at this photo, this
- 24:17photo kind of in. Japan too, for no reason.
- 24:20Targeting T-Mobile. Look at the 711.
- 24:22Yeah, I know. Why is there a 711?
- 24:24I've never seen a 711, a 711 look like that.
- 24:27On a city. Block.
- 24:28Yeah, probably square. Yeah, yeah.
- 24:32Probably downtown Osaka right there bro.
- 24:36That's what it looks. Like.
- 24:37Osaka, I got to go get some photos of my car.
- 24:40Yeah, go there, find a spot. I got to raise my car up because
- 24:44it's not going to go in there. Yeah, I don't know this dude,
- 24:46but. He seems awesome, so he does.
- 24:48He does a lot of events in Okinawa.
- 24:49Yeah, he's. A party, Yeah.
- 24:52To definitely. Bring him out, yeah.
- 24:54Yeah. We got to talk to this guy
- 24:55sometime. Yeah, that's where.
- 24:57All the military dudes are right.
- 24:59Yeah, yeah, yeah. He was in the military, Yeah.
- 25:01Next time he comes, come back, we'll tell you guys.
- 25:05Get him up. Yeah.
- 25:06Yeah. Definitely.
- 25:07So are you guys. Over the years, did you notice
- 25:10anything different change from trying to have the meats?
- 25:12Did it get harder? Did it get easier?
- 25:14I mean it like got way. Harder like oh God, that's.
- 25:17We're we're a official. 501 C nonprofit now that's like where
- 25:21we have to get to to like host like events.
- 25:25So that's kind of why that. Yeah, so so.
- 25:28We became like a. Actual organization?
- 25:30Oh my goodness, General. Counsel.
- 25:33We have other people that work on from other nonprofits that
- 25:36help like we have a full on office.
- 25:39Back end team that. Works with the city, with the
- 25:41mayor's office, with my staple NYPD like so this became a job
- 25:46real quick. I mean, yeah, this.
- 25:48This became a job real quick within like the first year, I
- 25:51think I was like, all right, I like it's no longer just meets.
- 25:55Now I have to figure a way to kind of make this into a thing
- 25:59that can be sustainable for people and stuff.
- 26:02And I knew right off the bat that like it'll, it'll never.
- 26:07Hopefully this will outlive. Me right and it was never going
- 26:11to be a for profit thing and the only way that this would
- 26:14continue on generations down if it was a non for profit so like.
- 26:18Whoever can. Come in and kind of take the
- 26:20reins and keep it going even long after we're done with it.
- 26:24So that for me seemed like the best way to go with this whole
- 26:29thing was like, all right. We're all.
- 26:34A bit older right? Like we're all born in like the
- 26:3680s basically. So that being said, we've seen a
- 26:41lot of car clubs come and go. Y'all seem pretty young by the.
- 26:43Way just to let you know I'm I'm about to be. 40, I'm 33.
- 26:47I'm 35. But I thought you all were
- 26:49younger than me. Oh God, I'm.
- 26:51Sorry, 86 baby right here. So like, yeah, so I know we look
- 26:54like brothers. I'm 30.
- 26:56No. I.
- 26:57Know. I get like in.
- 27:00My 20s all the time. So I'm like, I'll take that,
- 27:02I'll take that. Fuck yeah.
- 27:04I'm over. Here.
- 27:05Yeah. Hell yeah.
- 27:07No, you and Frankie, same. Age, yeah, but like the way I.
- 27:10See it is that like all these car?
- 27:12Clubs. Come in and they follow the same
- 27:15model. They get big enough to a point
- 27:17where they start throwing like these events.
- 27:19So like and then they charge these tickets for it and then
- 27:22going. Through that same.
- 27:23Business model and really deep diving into it.
- 27:27You're lucky if you're break even, right?
- 27:29You're lucky if you break even after all the cost of venues,
- 27:32insurance, vendors, whatever. And at the end of the day, like.
- 27:38Is it for profit? Like why are you doing?
- 27:40It's like what is this really for right?
- 27:43Limitless Auto Fab is a. Fabrication shop and retailer

- 29:51It started off. It's just like I got a cool car.
- 29:54I want to find other people with like cool car.
- 29:56I want to talk to them about my cool car.
- 29:58And then I'm old now. So like all my friends don't do
- 30:02stuff like this anymore. They're old, they have families.
- 30:04They like, want to take care of responsibility, do jobs, you
- 30:08know, like things like that, right?
- 30:09So it's true. It is that.
- 30:12It's great. I feel I'm, I'm with you going
- 30:14through that shit, right? Now I'm with you, right?
- 30:17So. I mean like I.
- 30:18Remember when I got in the cars, I was a teenager and hot import
- 30:22nights was cool and I and I didn't, I couldn't afford a car,
- 30:25but I I was a break dancer. So I'd just go and dance my ass
- 30:28off and like, yeah, cars and fucking dancing, whatever.
- 30:30That was a good old days, yeah. Right.
- 30:32It's like you're. And like you'd have like actual
- 30:34full on. Dance.
- 30:35Circles and battles. Import like I was.
- 30:38On a cardboard. Box Yeah, I'm.
- 30:40Like you think you. Could do still stuff.
- 30:41Still, maybe I mean clear out the.
- 30:43Table No. We're not.
- 30:46Hold on, we're not liable for anything.
- 30:47That's about to happen. No, no, no, no, no.
- 30:49He tried to get him. To do like a little routine that
- 30:52one of my they. They.
- 30:57My part she. She tries.
- 30:59All the time. At home, she's like, you know,
- 31:01like my she's like my little nephew was in the break dancing.
- 31:04Why don't you break dance for him and show him how it's done?
- 31:06Was like I'm 40. Yeah, like this.
- 31:10This could end up bad, yeah. Like do not.
- 31:12It's like last time I just I was.
- 31:13Still 20. Like a little little.
- 31:15What the fuck? Let me think of a name of a of a
- 31:17breakdance move. A flare, A flare like or a
- 31:21windmill? Definitely not.
- 31:22Maybe I can give you. Like a six step, like something
- 31:25simple and Malcolm, you don't have a fucking.
- 31:27Break like this guy is the most I.
- 31:29Could see you doing that. What is the word?
- 31:31For skillful, I don't know randomly.
- 31:33Skillful and everything. It's a versatile.
- 31:35Personal. Guy.
- 31:36Yeah, that's good. Jack.
- 31:37Of all traits, anything. Definitely, yeah.
- 31:39Yeah. Any faster or nun?
- 31:40Yeah. No, just kidding.
- 31:41Just kidding. He's gonna leave.
- 31:44And we're gonna have to use all of that shit by ourselves,
- 31:48ourselves, and we're gonna be fucked.
- 31:51Oh my goodness. But yeah, you could.
- 31:52Like you. Show him one thing, he'll
- 31:53probably pick it up in like 5 minutes and you'll be like damn
- 31:55break dancing and shit. Because that was like the thing
- 31:58back. Yes, it was.
- 31:59We had another. Podcast Remember when Josh?
- 32:02What about Justin? Flipsko, he always breakdance.
- 32:03Yeah, he kind of was, but. No, Josh, more so because not to
- 32:08not to age you guys, but this other guy, he's other he's also
- 32:14I really hope I'm right that he's 40.
- 32:16He's definitely. 40 Yeah, OK, Well, you said that.
- 32:20He's. He's he has.
- 32:21To be 40? Yeah, him.
- 32:22And his group. Proceed they embody that like.
- 32:29I don't know if it's they. Have like he's from Chicago.
- 32:31They have like a spirit of that B boy and and drifting and
- 32:36what's another thing that they like at the same time you're
- 32:38talking out of my. Like music and.
- 32:40DJing and shit like that. That was the all that was like
- 32:43all intertwined. It was, it was like.
- 32:45Basically. Grid Life.
- 32:48Have you guys? Done grid life.
- 32:50We haven't gotten grid. Life yet, but we have music.
- 32:53All both types of racing and. Yeah, grid life.
- 32:56Seems like a a good time, but it doesn't feel.
- 32:58Like a. Like a house party.
- 33:02Like that's what I felt like Hot import nights used to feel like
- 33:04nothing is ever going to. Beat hot import nights.
- 33:06I'm fucking felt like a like a back.
- 33:08In time, yeah, I mean, but nothing's going to be that's
- 33:10like. That's like.
- 33:12Like what I think of when I throw these meats and stuff,
- 33:15Like it was a full on experience.
- 33:17You know, it's like you go there, like you're there for
- 33:19cars, for girls, for dancing, for whatever event that might be
- 33:22going on, dude. And there's concerts at those.
- 33:24Things yeah, like grid life is kind of trying to be that but
- 33:27it's like a big. Like Grid life is Forza.
- 33:31That's Forza, yeah. You don't like, You don't like.
- 33:32It's horrible Yeah, when it like flies into the main like menu.
- 33:36I don't know what Forza looks like now.
- 33:37It is hot fortnights was like. Going It was like you were
- 33:40living in Super Street magazine. Yeah, that's what it.
- 33:43Was like you were in the. Magazine.
- 33:44Think of like. Like there's the scene from The
- 33:47Fast and the Furious where it's it's like like 2000s house.
- 33:52So it's like the same little crescendo, like 20 times
- 33:55electronic music. I actually like and.
- 33:59Then it's like. It's just like.
- 34:00Panning around and for some reason there's girls dancing on
- 34:03pillars. That's what it was at Edgewater
- 34:04too. Like.
- 34:05The worst dance moves ever. But that's what we want to see.
- 34:11But it's fine. Yeah, but it's fine.
- 34:13Brings. The vibe, I don't know what.
- 34:15I went to a ratchet Friday at Englishtown.
- 34:17I heard those were good too, no? Those were, those were.
- 34:20Fun. Those were fun.
- 34:21Go crazy. Ratchet.
- 34:23Friday, they'd be. Throwing money crazy in the in
- 34:25the in the stands, Yeah. Betting on the drivers.
- 34:28That's. Like the vibe and.
- 34:29Energy that like you want, right?
- 34:31Yeah, you don't want to feel corporate and stuff.
- 34:33So like, is it gone? Is it gone?
- 34:37I don't think. So can we get it back if it is
- 34:39gone? I don't know, I mean.
- 34:40Like that's like part of our goal is not to like recreate hot
- 34:44import nights, but to bring that same mentality back where I
- 34:48remember going to those, maybe just going like a couple friends
- 34:52or something. We'll like going to like the
- 34:54dance, but and then we'll leave with like no one like all these
- 34:56other people just because like we were there and like everyone
- 34:58was just talking. And because it wasn't like a
- 35:02normal St. event where you might have to move somewhere
- 35:04constantly. You had enough time to actually
- 35:07converse with people and like get to know and see what they're
- 35:10about and and, you know, maybe like make plans to do something
- 35:13else with them later. Now I feel like at least my
- 35:18experience when I came back to like the US was going to events,
- 35:22going to meet and having to get ready to drive to like the
- 35:26Knicks location because it's getting shut down and then
- 35:29driving to another location and it's like it's.
- 35:31Yeah, it. Sucks.
- 35:32It's like why am I doing? Like I just.
- 35:34Like if I want to go drive, I'll go drive, you know, like I'm
- 35:38coming out to these meetings. I thought it was going to be
- 35:39like more of a communal thing or something where I can actually
- 35:43experience other cool cars or and not be there for 15 minutes
- 35:48and I have to get back in my car and fucking scramble to like the
- 35:50next fucking spot for another 5-10 minutes and then scramble
- 35:53again. And then it's like, it's like, I
- 35:55think that's what also brought. Me back, you know, I've, I'm
- 35:59contrary to everybody in this room.
- 36:00I'm very new to the car world. Like within the last 10 years.
- 36:03You're not 40, no. I'm 33.
- 36:05Whoa, I just figured everyone's 40.
- 36:07No, no. You said in the last 10 years.
- 36:10Yeah, so bro, so. Before long time.
- 36:13Well, you've been. In it for a while.
- 36:15Yes and no. SO.
- 36:16I've. Known about it for a long time,
- 36:18but I never could. I didn't know this existed.
- 36:21Well, I didn't know that cookbook existed.
- 36:23I didn't know all these things were important nights.
- 36:25I didn't know anything about that.
- 36:26Yeah. Yeah.
- 36:26For me it was just soccer and music.
- 36:28That's what that was my life. And it wasn't until like,
- 36:33contrary to other people, like Fast and Furious did not run,
- 36:36did not create my love for cars. Need for Speed did not create my
- 36:40love for cars. I'm so curious.
- 36:42Now so. It was actually a shout out to
- 36:44him. It was Nori Yaro who actually
- 36:46brought me into the car world. It was one specific video.
- 36:49It was a video of him breaking down all the JZX chassis and the
- 36:53difference between each and every one of them, Right.
- 36:55And then I forget where he was. Yeah, I think he was an ECO
- 36:57circuit. And then there were like very
- 36:59different ones. There was AVIP one.
- 37:00There was like a drift style. There was, you know, the whole
- 37:03pro drift car. And I was like, that's cool.
- 37:07Where can I find that rabbit hole?
- 37:09Yeah. Exactly rain.
- 37:11Down and then. Over I can even.
- 37:13Get into that video so I was so. This this was like the summer I
- 37:17just graduated high school and this was I took a year of before
- 37:20I went to college and I just was doing anything and everything.
- 37:25And then I was on YouTube one day and Samit video popped up.
- 37:29I watched one of his videos. So you kind of like cars?
- 37:32Not yes and. No, like I knew about them, but
- 37:35I wasn't like I didn't know what the hell was so YouTube was
- 37:38creating. You.
- 37:39Yes, that's so crazy to say so. I watched a Samit video, then
- 37:43Samit talked about no Yarrow. Then I'd looked him up and then
- 37:46I was, it was just, you must have saw Jay ZX and you were
- 37:48like. Oh, that car is Yeah.
- 37:49You don't still watch salmon videos?
- 37:51Right, I do. I do.
- 37:53We got to get you off though. We got to get.
- 37:55You off though, Damn. No more.
- 37:57No more salmon videos. The salmon.
- 37:59Hates. So so then.
- 38:01Yeah, like that created my love and I wanted to know where to
- 38:03find that. Then my dad, way before this, I
- 38:10didn't know this. I knew what the car was but he
- 38:12had a 94 Integra with neo speed parts.
- 38:16I didn't know what that was. It was.
- 38:18A it was a 5 speed. Now that now that I know about
- 38:21cars, I realized that he had a Unicorn.
- 38:23And it was like, I didn't know about that, but I was in that
- 38:26car every single day because that's the car I went to school
- 38:29and that's the car. He took me to school and then
- 38:30school trips or whatever. I didn't know.
- 38:32And he wanted to give me the car, but I was like, I'm not
- 38:34into you were like, fuck yeah. I'm not into.
- 38:38Car. So you missed the window?
- 38:39I missed the window, damn it so but.
- 38:41You have something nice now I do have something nice.
- 38:43That's nice. As hell.
- 38:45What the fuck? Shout out to likes his.
- 38:47Own. Yeah, yeah.
- 38:49There we go. Yeah.
- 38:50So it was that and then? He sold the car.
- 38:52I saw it around my house for a couple of years and then it
- 38:54disappeared into the abyss into. The Abyss.
- 38:57Where all the Hondas go? And actually, I was.
- 38:59Talking about this earlier, like a couple of months back, I want
- 39:02to find the VIN number of that car and try to see if I can
- 39:06find. Yeah, Yeah, it might be.
- 39:07In my brother. Does that kind of shit.
- 39:09He'll look up every family car we've ever owned.
- 39:12You got what he uses is the like the insurance policy.
- 39:15You just get an insurance card, boom, takes a picture and you
- 39:19got to find. Some of the old, yeah.
- 39:21So I've been talking to my dad. About it, he was like, that's
- 39:23fine, He tells me every day. Like I don't know where even
- 39:26even old photos. Man, anything of like, you know
- 39:28what's crazy? We don't.
- 39:29Have photos of that car. I have one of my dogs sit on the
- 39:33seat and all you see is the seat, the steering wheel and the
- 39:36and the and the and the You said you said you have the VIN
- 39:38number. Or you don't have the I don't
- 39:39have the VIN number. Yeah, he.
- 39:40Doesn't know where it is. I had an Integra I.
- 39:42Sold the tube and I have no idea where that is either, but that's
- 39:44just because I sold it to some dude in Carteret that's just
- 39:48gone for Avenel. It was like right next to the
- 39:50jail. It's off of Parks now.
- 39:52Yeah, it's. Off of parks now.
- 39:54They're all. Rusted away.
- 39:56No. Oh my gosh.
- 39:57I hope 95 GSR I. Was rusted.
- 40:00Dude, I had so many Integra I had I had two.
- 40:04And they were both not rusty. I'm not gonna hold.
- 40:07You and they were both. They were both.
- 40:09They were both. Every panel Vin matched, block
- 40:12and trans Vin matched. That was the only thing I look
- 40:15for. The fact that that's like a
- 40:16thing. Is crazy.
- 40:17Well, because like, by the way, the engine wasn't stolen.
- 40:19Yeah, dude, that. Was big.
- 40:21That was the number one thing, one of the first cars when I was
- 40:24looking for my first car and I before I ended up in the other
- 40:27car I was looking for. It's like a motorcycle thing,
- 40:30but it's. But into cars, Yes, but I
- 40:32didn't. Even know why I was looking at
- 40:34it, I was looking at it as like a value standpoint.
- 40:36People on eBay, it's crazy, dude.
- 40:38People on eBay used to list that.
- 40:39They used to be like original motive matching everything.
- 40:42It's still it's still thing. Yeah, well.
- 40:44That's. 2. 1000 so it so it really says.
- 40:47The vent on the engine. On the engine, yeah, because it.
- 40:49Doesn't on the firewall on the. Fenders on the OK yeah, on the.
- 40:53On the bumpers it says it like people.
- 40:55It's crazy chopping them. Cars up and selling the car, so
- 40:59anything Honda could do to try to, you know, track it or you
- 41:02ever get into that aspect. Of Honda.
- 41:04Oh, but you think Chris? What I don't?
- 41:07Know she might what girl I mean. Before she was.
- 41:09You know where she was. Always room for improvement.
- 41:14I love crime. Now you.
- 41:15Have one. Of my favorite Hondas, if not my
- 41:17favorite Honda right, S2000 right.
- 41:19Is that yours? Yeah, an FA5 the. 4 door SI
- 41:23okay. Can you bring that up, Malcolm?
- 41:25I don't know what that is FA5IS. The I probably know, but I don't
- 41:28know. One.
- 41:30Yeah, still 20. Z something.
- 41:33Oh. I.
- 41:34Can send. That shit around this is a wait.
- 41:36This is. The one this is a.
- 41:38Fantastic. Car Is this the one that came?
- 41:40They made a. Mugen version, yes.
- 41:42Yeah, look up the. Look up that.
- 41:43One in blue, that one Mugen R. Yeah, the Mugen.
- 41:46R Yeah, I have it at my dealership.
- 41:48So I I just bought an SI that's the same exact color.
- 41:50Yeah, I guess it's. This one, right?
- 41:52Yeah, it's my baby. Dude.
- 41:55I've loved this Carver came out is the dealer.
- 41:58Frankie. Yeah, the wing, you know.
- 42:00The first thing I. Said I was like, dude, these
- 42:02look like MB wheels. They do look like MB wheels.
- 42:05You need the big Wang. Yeah, the.
- 42:07Wing is. The Wing, The one next to that
- 42:09Malcolm the. One from behind that's that's
- 42:11the best handle of that car right there that one where it's
- 42:13at the. Dealership that's not working.
- 42:15That one's nice. Damn it of.
- 42:17Course, it's the one. We want to.
- 42:18See. Oh yeah, and the bottom.
- 42:19One too, right there. We might not want to break the
- 42:22computer right now anyway. That would suck.
- 42:24There it is, yeah. Dude, yeah, my.
- 42:26Daily, but now it's not. My daily now I have a S2000
- 42:29which is pretty crazy by. The way but drove it in the snow
- 42:31and everybody like what? Are you doing just looking?
- 42:33At it outside right now I'm like, what are you doing?
- 42:37The drive. 'S good.
- 42:39The drive those cars are just so.
- 42:40Valuable now. So it's like when you see it,
- 42:42you're like, what the fuck, dude?
- 42:45They are valuable high. Mileage ones, I saw them the.
- 42:47Other day 1414150 that's pretty good that's.
- 42:50Not too bad that's. Actually, really, it's only.
- 42:52Been smacked? Up when did you buy it?
- 42:54Ten months ago. Really 84,000?
- 42:56Miles it took me 7 months to. Find it like I was looking for
- 43:00seven months because matching VIN on the engine.
- 43:02What matching VIN on the engine? Yes, she sold.
- 43:06Her Subi. Yeah, I had a Oh.
- 43:08Wait, STI? That's a good car too.
- 43:11That's a great. Car.
- 43:12Yeah, but S2000. Yeah, yeah, you have the top.
- 43:16Of the Honda now you're like up here I do is the S2000 or the.
- 43:20NSX the which was the thing. Which was the top?
- 43:24I don't know for me. Drivers.
- 43:26Car S2000. Right.
- 43:27Like just like epitome of Honda cars, an engine or.
- 43:31Rear engine I just don't like like.
- 43:32V sixes so much that I'd go with S2000.
- 43:35I just like. I There's so much room for.
- 43:37Activity. So if you decide you want to go
- 43:39with a different motor like it's been done before, yeah, yeah,
- 43:42the NSX. Giant.
- 43:43Yeah, after I found out how low the power was when I first like
- 43:48saw what an NSX was, I was like, don't ever like that ever again.
- 43:52That was in like 2003. Yeah, but you have to look at it
- 43:55when. It was developed in 19901991.
- 43:58How much power does it make? Like 200.
- 44:00Malcolm, you know, it can, it's like, I'm sure a lot of people
- 44:02would be shocked by this. I mean that's it's.
- 44:04Like 3, it's under. 3. 100. It's pretty low pass.
- 44:06It's under 300 something. 2. 85 maybe the.
- 44:09First one, first Gen. Malcolm.
- 44:11It's like a. 90 I see it right there, 270.
- 44:13It says yeah, but you have to like, look.
- 44:15At it from the time period it was created in because it was
- 44:17the Everyman super car, it was super affordable. 2 Honda never
- 44:22break. It was of the crank 2. 70 of the
- 44:24crank and it's the balance. Too of that car is super good.
- 44:28My cousin had one of these. I mean a lot of people.
- 44:30Say that that's like one of the best Japanese cars.
- 44:33Yes, I mean Senna. Right.
- 44:35He Senna was Yeah, like. Instant for approval was
- 44:37involved in developing. The unnecessary My cousin had
- 44:41one of. These.
- 44:42And. I have no idea, but the coolest
- 44:46thing about it, when I when I when you walk up to it, dude,
- 44:49it's actually like this high. Yeah, yeah, yeah, stock.
- 44:53Height. Beautiful car.
- 44:55But. S2. 1000 in my opinion is
- 44:58superior 'cause it just holds like a lot more accolade in it.
- 45:01The S2000 FA 20 when it came out it or whatever.
- 45:04F20F not Faf. 20C was the highest per literature.
- 45:09Yeah, that engine's crazy. Per per liter.
- 45:11Horsepower per liter. Sorry.
- 45:15Like it set a record. I think also Toyota probably
- 45:18beat that right now. Also the engine and.
- 45:20If you don't know what this is, I don't know what the
- 45:22significance of it is, but Ferrari uses a Cam driven gear
- 45:27or like like a single Cam drives 2 cams.
- 45:31Does that make sense? I see what you're saying.
- 45:34I have to. See what it That's why that
- 45:35little one. Bolt in the valve cover on a
- 45:37Honda valve cover is like on a S2000 in the middle.
- 45:40It it's a Cam driven. Can you show me the inside?
- 45:43Of a cylinder head of a Honda F20AH.
- 45:46Fuck Malcolm, please. Whatever I'm explaining, it's,
- 45:48it's, it's what Ferrari uses. And that's the other thing.
- 45:53Is that the F22 maybe? Well, the F20.
- 45:55Was AP1F22 is the AP two? Yeah.
- 46:00But there are they both do the same thing.
- 46:01Oh, so it went. It went up to two. .2 for the
- 46:03for the second I didn't. Know that?
- 46:05Oh. Malcolm the out of stock on.
- 46:06The bottom only 8000. Yeah, RPM red.
- 46:09Line. You see how the cams aren't
- 46:11touching? A different Cam touches them
- 46:14both at the bottom. Yeah, in the middle.
- 46:16Oh, you're saying? So you're saying?
- 46:17A chain. No, it's Cam driven.
- 46:20Gears or some shit like one cog is.
- 46:24Turn in both. Yeah, OK.
- 46:25It's. Weird.
- 46:26So it's not is. There a chain on one ear you're
- 46:29saying and then that's spinning both.
- 46:31OK, but what is the significance?
- 46:32Of that like what is? That I don't know.
- 46:34Yeah, it's a performance thing, I think.
- 46:36I wonder what that mean? It probably provides.
- 46:38Like good gas mileage and performance.
- 46:41It's like, all right, Miss Holland, It's like.
- 46:43Honda. 'S.
- 46:44Honda's camo. I'm sorry you're from.
- 46:47Corporate. Yeah, they've got Malcolm.
- 46:49I'm gonna take this one off. Your hands because I want to
- 46:50look it up a lot like stop design.
- 46:52Like that. And they're like, OK, yeah,
- 46:55that's. Interesting.
- 46:55But I mean, I'm sure, I'm sure there's a reason for it.
- 46:59I'm trying to make it make sense of that, like the middle ground,
- 47:01like. Whatever you can do best at
- 47:03everything, that's what they do. It looks like there's not even a
- 47:05chain. Around that original 1.
- 47:07So maybe it's just all gear driven.
- 47:08It is. Is it all gear driven?
- 47:09It says gear. Crank.
- 47:10It says gear driven cams are superior for high performance
- 47:13engines because they eliminate timing chain stretch.
- 47:17Oh yeah, but intention. Or failure let.
- 47:19Me give you a little pro tip timing.
- 47:20Chain's never fucking stretch, ensuring you keep your.
- 47:23Level. That's all.
- 47:24It it will stretch when? It's 9500 RPM banging down a
- 47:29track. What?
- 47:29You know what you Nissan boys know about that?
- 47:31We know about that. Come on.
- 47:33We know about that. One engine on the VBL you got a.
- 47:37Toyota, man, we have an engine that.
- 47:39Do that. Too.
- 47:40Yeah, the beams goes to 9 grand, SRS go high.
- 47:44No, that's. Like the worst.
- 47:45Example I. Could have picked Arby's Jay.
- 47:47Z goes to 7 grand or less. It's actually not good look.
- 47:50I seen Arby's either. My my.
- 47:53MR2 goes to 8. Oh yeah, dude.
- 47:57AW that shit hits the like when you floor it like the end tank
- 48:01noise is just like oh. You know what engine sucks?
- 48:05VQ. 35 That shit is annoying. You have one over there?
- 48:08No, I. Was hoping none of y'all do that
- 48:10all the time. That just sucks.
- 48:12Doesn't. Doesn't is it?
- 48:13I don't know, it just like keeps me up at.
- 48:15Night. I'm like, how am I going to make
- 48:16this thing sound good? Like I don't know, I guess I
- 48:18should ask you guys because you guys are not necessarily
- 48:21Drifters. You guys are car meet.
- 48:24Well, they like drifting too. Dude, you like drifting, but
- 48:26you're not. As deep in it as we might be,
- 48:29No, I mean like we'd. Like, I mean, I personally would
- 48:31like to be, but our main thing is really trying to add value
- 48:36back into the community. Yeah.
- 48:38So like, we'll go to tracks, we'll drive, we'll drift, we'll
- 48:41do grip, we'll do time, time attack, but our.
- 48:45Meets like. Basically take precedent over
- 48:47yeah, that makes sense. Like going out.
- 48:48And stuff. So I have a question, do 350 ZS
- 48:51and G35 sound good to you? No, they sound like.
- 48:54Trumpets. OK, like, nice.
- 48:56It's everyone. OK, yeah, everyone agrees.
- 48:58Not everyone. Well, I mean.
- 49:01I will. Apologize.
- 49:01Wait. Hold on.
- 49:02Why? Why?
- 49:03Why? What's?
- 49:03Happening. What's happening?
- 49:04Why is he so sorry? My first car was a.
- 49:06Nissan Altima, not that that means much, but I was in I was a
- 49:09Nissan guy. OK, right.
- 49:11I always wanted a Maxima, yes, or a three-point SER OK, Altima,
- 49:16which is like, that's the VQ1. Yes, the Maximus VQ.
- 49:19Yes, yeah. And.
- 49:21For a long time I. Really liked the noise.
- 49:24The noise. OK, noise, yes, no, the trumpet.
- 49:27Now I have a Granted, I have a two jge, but yeah, that's like
- 49:30the total opposite. Yeah, it's the total opposite.
- 49:32And it just, I don't know, I just love you.
- 49:35Still like the VQ noise? No, no.
- 49:39I'm having to find someone person.
- 49:40Yes, personally and I don't know if you guys.
- 49:42Would agree, but I think the best sounding engine period is
- 49:46A1J. All right, watch me.
- 49:51Watch your room. Carl's there.
- 49:52Yeah. It is the best.
- 49:55They're starting. They're starting to sound like
- 49:57LS ones to me. They're So what?
- 49:59Yeah, yes. Wait till you hear.
- 50:01Me going through the pit, dude, that's.
- 50:03The guy that's going to make you hate.
- 50:04Me, I don't know what I was watching.
- 50:05The other day, but it was some drifting thing and I was like,
- 50:08I'm so done with this fucking Jay-Z noise because it's just
- 50:11like, so like that's the new like good engine swap, right?
- 50:16Yeah, yeah. So now it's.
- 50:18That's. Like getting into like the
- 50:19supercar world where you like you, you know, B twelves.
- 50:23It's just like the sound. Like like AV.
- 50:25Let's say a Ferrari goes by, you know it's a Ferrari.
- 50:28Like you're sitting in a store, it hits a little downshift and
- 50:31you're like a Ferrari or a fucking.
- 50:33Gixxer There's like or like a motorcycle.
- 50:35Yeah. And then?
- 50:36But if A1. J hit a downshift.
- 50:40What? What was that over there?
- 50:42Yeah, I. Get it?
- 50:42I mean you own. You own the engine, but it just.
- 50:45Makes a tone. Yeah, it makes a tone or like
- 50:49this like vibration in your ear, dude, where it's fucking great.
- 50:54I mean, I appreciate I. Appreciate that accredited.
- 50:56That to the fact that it was designed by a motorcycle
- 50:59company. I mean Yamaha, they make
- 51:01fucking. Stereos.
- 51:02Yeah, they do all of like. Toyotas I I think that's what it
- 51:05is. I just think the they, they.
- 51:07Always engineer all their like with like notes.
- 51:11Like they they want to hit a certain note.
- 51:13Yeah, it could be. True.
- 51:14Yeah, that guy, I would believe that I am believing you fully
- 51:17right now and I'm going to tell everybody they do engine the
- 51:20other. Engine maybe?
- 51:21They helped with the VQ. And they were trying to get the
- 51:23whole order straight. You know who?
- 51:25Helped with the VQ. Nuclear scientists were like,
- 51:28yo, wait, wait, no. They were trying to build an
- 51:33orchestra. Maybe they were like, we need
- 51:34the trumpet. Yeah, well, bring in the VQ35.
- 51:37Here's the thing. Here's the.
- 51:38Thing about the trumpet sound, that's actually the VQ just
- 51:41sounds like AV6 to me. No you're right.
- 51:43You ever hear like a different role?
- 51:44Don't really sound good. Until you put.
- 51:47Headers on it. I still don't agree but I feel.
- 51:50Like, I think it depends on the, it depends on the engine.
- 51:52First of all, yes, the lower the leaders are, the better it's
- 51:55gonna sound. Probably.
- 51:55Yes, That's yeah. And I'm starting to, so I've
- 51:59been doing research, figuring out the Z thing because I have
- 52:01one, obviously. So I need to figure this out
- 52:03because I can't be going out to sound like a trumpet.
- 52:05So I was like, OK, HKS exhaust. I was like, that shit sounds
- 52:09good. Way too much money, but it
- 52:10sounds really good. And then I was like, all right.
- 52:14There was like someone who did a video with test pipes without
- 52:16test pipe with the cats. And I was like, OK, you need
- 52:19cats. Like it's mandatory.
- 52:21If you don't have cats, it's going to sound so bad.
- 52:24Like there's just like weird things I'm finding out, but at
- 52:27the end of the day it's not going to sound.
- 52:29Like a chasey. No.
- 52:30Are you? Are you?
- 52:31Are. You keeping that any or are you
- 52:33going to turbo for now? Yeah, OK.
- 52:34I. Mean you talk.
- 52:36I like the turbo. But no one's.
- 52:38Going to do not. You see that shit?
- 52:42Outside, it's going to be another one.
- 52:44No, no, no. No, no.
- 52:45Did you see? The one out, did you see the?
- 52:46One outside. Outside.
- 52:48No. Or what about the one over
- 52:49there? Inside over there.
- 52:50Yeah. Yeah.
- 52:51All Frankie's, by the way. No.
- 52:54Turn around, we. Just got him.
- 52:56Back. No.
- 52:58No, the Z is going to run for now.
- 53:00No, but yeah. Oh.
- 53:02You got to do all that. Guess what kind of exhaust is on
- 53:05my car? Just a straight pipe.
- 53:06Nothing at all. It's.
- 53:09It's literally whatever remnants.
- 53:11It's just headers, yeah. It is headers.
- 53:13Out because from scraping it so much.
- 53:15Dude I took a look at it before I dropped it off.
- 53:17The exhaust looks like this but but because destroyed dude,
- 53:22there's like a thin wall of exhaust pipe on the bottom.
- 53:26Whole thing, though, yeah, that's probably.
- 53:29So bad. That's a drift car, so.
- 53:31You know, that's why I like, I'm like, yeah, I can get that
- 53:33exhaust, but it's going to be destroyed in like a month.
- 53:36So I'm like, I don't know. But it's like it's a trade off
- 53:40because that car is like a really good drift car.
- 53:43It's really affordable. It's everything is, everything
- 53:46is great except for the exhaust note, Yeah.

- 54:41We are super excited to. Be working with Wrecked
- 54:43magazine. Wrecked has been capturing the
- 54:45best moments in Drifting since the mid 2000s.
- 54:48After a long hiatus, they have recently been brought back from
- 54:51the dead with the best people in the industry leading the charge.
- 54:54The first couple issues have been nothing but amazing and
- 54:57after speaking with these guys I can tell you it's only going to
- 55:00get better. Now I won't lie, a print
- 55:01magazine being brought back to life in 2026 is pretty risky
- 55:05move. It's a dying industry with video
- 55:07content and social media flooding the market.
- 55:09But nothing beats the nostalgic feeling of print.
- 55:12It's always been the best way to get a glimpse into the
- 55:14automotive scene that you're interested in.
- 55:16Automotive magazines were the reason some of us even got into
- 55:19cars. To this day I still have all my
- 55:21magazines from high school and it's so cool to be able to go
- 55:23back to see how the culture was during that specific time.
- 55:26And to have AUS based magazine that's just focused on drifting
- 55:30is unreal. They have tons of information in
- 55:31the first two issues that I've been reading through.
- 55:34Everything from event coverage, specific vehicle articles,
- 55:37driver profiles, shop tours, much more.
- 55:40Even the ads are cool. For more info or if you are
- 55:43looking to subscribe, head on over to wreckmagazine.com.
- 55:46They got a bunch of other cool stuff on there as well.
- 55:49We are in the middle of trying to get some of these to sell
- 55:50here at the shop, so hopefully in the next few months we have
- 55:53them here to at least check out or if you want to purchase them.
- 55:56That's literally it when you think about it.
- 55:58That would be the one to get into.
- 55:59Drifting is the Z or the the FRS like those are good.
- 56:04I don't know. We we've like S 16.
- 56:06We've talked about it. You're waiting for.
- 56:08The S 16. I know how you feel.
- 56:09Stop. No extensively.
- 56:12Right, we're like, what's the best bang for budget car to get
- 56:17into drift FRS or today? Like today.
- 56:19Right. It it would definitely be a
- 56:21yeah, like a 350 dude, you just see.
- 56:23So many. Of them I.
- 56:26Know it's it's. Like you guys remember what?
- 56:30A me too car. Was what I mean.
- 56:32I understand. What you're saying but I don't
- 56:34know what what? Give me an example.
- 56:35I mean like so I remember growing.
- 56:36Up like G37, no civics. Were like me too.
- 56:39Cars like, oh, you have a Civic? Oh, me too, okay.
- 56:43Okay. I get you're saying that's.
- 56:45Like a Hyundai. Genesis.
- 56:47It's. Like dude.
- 56:49I have a Jenny, yeah. Me.
- 56:51Too. It's a Me Too card.
- 56:52It's like you guys, me too. God.
- 56:56I know this doesn't. Involve this, but I feel like a
- 56:57Jeep Wrangler would be the same thing.
- 56:58This is just. So many, yeah.
- 57:02You got me too. Or you do the little.
- 57:05What the fuck is that? Yeah, that's.
- 57:07The way. That's what I.
- 57:09Felt. That's what I feel.
- 57:09Like 3 fifties are they are, that's why.
- 57:11They're like, well, it's like. It's like, oh.
- 57:13Me too, That's what I I hold 350.
- 57:15Z1 step above like a G37 or G35. I don't know why yeah, I feel
- 57:19like that the three DZ it's probably just 'cause it's in
- 57:22Tokyo drift honestly. But if it was a.
- 57:24Sedan G37 is that? Better or worse?
- 57:28I don't know, it's just a damn. It's a big body.
- 57:30I can't I can't deal with G3 Sevens I.
- 57:32Don't know why, I don't know what it is.
- 57:33I just, I didn't think big body. Is it the way they look?
- 57:35Is it the way they look? It's 100% the way they look.
- 57:37OK. It looks too far.
- 57:38About the new ZI. Don't care what you do to that
- 57:41car. It would never look good.
- 57:43Yeah, people love. Or hate that car I tried to
- 57:45drift with. One like Tandem, the new Z, the
- 57:48new one, yeah. You tried to.
- 57:50Tandem. Wait, really?
- 57:51Well, very. Very far like this.
- 57:54We were like, I didn't, it's a very expensive car, like and I
- 57:59don't even know if he knew we were driving.
- 58:02But I was like I am. Not going anywhere near here.
- 58:05I don't know if you knew I was there.
- 58:06But I'm not getting anywhere. Near that see, I actually.
- 58:10I'm kind of forcing myself to like it, but I think I like it,
- 58:13but why? But I'm on the fence.
- 58:14I think I'm kind of forcing myself because there's like
- 58:16nothing. There to like like nothing else
- 58:18out there to like right now. Have you driven 1?
- 58:20I haven't driven 1. But I know that they are
- 58:23basically a 370Z with a different engine.
- 58:25So just Bally's card which? Yeah, but interior?
- 58:30Specifically, I think is extremely 370.
- 58:34I like the interior. I like the way it looks.
- 58:37Yeah, it's still a Z, so like there's things I don't like.
- 58:39It probably weighs too much because they all do.
- 58:42But like, I don't know. If this is the best we're gonna
- 58:44get from Nissan, then fuck it, you know what I mean?
- 58:46That's where I'm at. Don't settle.
- 58:47What's? Wrong with you is it though?
- 58:49Is it though? I mean, they, they went on a
- 58:50whole rampage last year of how like they're gonna bring back
- 58:53Motorsports and their CEO was like dedicated to it.
- 58:56We're probably. Just happy they got wrong.
- 58:58I love Toyota and. I know Toyota's, like, they're
- 59:01gonna be the ones to bring back Motorsports for, for like, cars.
- 59:05Yeah. So they they.
- 59:07Turned that back into F1. Till they turn a fucking.
- 59:10German car into a Supra like the Gazoo racing is.
- 59:12Dude, OK, shit, OK. OK, OK, OK, enough with this.
- 59:16Is anyone else mad about the? Super.
- 59:17So he's saying his. His argument with the What about
- 59:20the MR2 are you? Not mad about their new midship
- 59:23fucking wait truck thing that came out.
- 59:25What? Look what?
- 59:27What? Is this bring that up now that.
- 59:30Shit, bring that shit up now. How have you not Mike they?
- 59:35Released that at Tokyo Auto and this is new I yeah.
- 59:38What is this? MR2 What?
- 59:42That's an MR2. That's an.
- 59:43MR2 now. That's the new midship.
- 59:45What? No, no, no, no.
- 59:46No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.
- 59:48Wait. Oh oh.
- 59:50Wait, you got trolled too? Wait, wait, wait.
- 59:54Go down. Yeah, Sum this up for us.
- 59:57It's a tiny truck. A gay truck.
- 59:58What is it? OK, Fuck.
- 1:00:01OK. No, I should.
- 1:00:02Probably read it. No, it actually.
- 1:00:03Is like a real truck. And there was.
- 1:00:05Like. And it's midship.
- 1:00:07It's it's mid engine. So they're joking.
- 1:00:10That it is an MR2 technically what did Toyota?
- 1:00:13Say to you. To make you so upset.
- 1:00:14I was like, I still, I still. They must have said Toyota,
- 1:00:17though. They must have been like this is
- 1:00:19the new MR2 or something. I know because I I.
- 1:00:21Just love MR2. You know what?
- 1:00:22I do like Malcolm. If you scroll up, if you scroll
- 1:00:25up, that is a Mazzora color. Has to be.
- 1:00:30Yeah, the color's cool. The.
- 1:00:31Color's cool. That's a.
- 1:00:32Mazzora color, so you're going to get one of them and the.
- 1:00:34Bridge, Yeah. Whatever that is, they just
- 1:00:37didn't if they. Called it.
- 1:00:38Anything else OK, but like. Why, dude?
- 1:00:41Why? Yeah, why?
- 1:00:42Is it you take? Your flagship.
- 1:00:44Fucking car, the Supra that carries the most weight in the
- 1:00:48car community for your brand and you go hey BMW, can you finish
- 1:00:53this? We don't really, you know what,
- 1:00:54because coming into. The market, it was a test,
- 1:00:57right? So it's like how do you come
- 1:00:59into the market without spending the R&D, without doing all this
- 1:01:03like he's already doing nothing well?
- 1:01:04So like they threw it in. There same thing with the FRS
- 1:01:06with with Subi right? So I'm mad about that one too.
- 1:01:08I mean. Something wrong but I'm less mad
- 1:01:10about that. But but it was like OK.
- 1:01:11How do how does a brand go into a possibly a new market after
- 1:01:16not having sports cars for so long and then throw massive
- 1:01:21amount money into there? It's like it's better for them
- 1:01:23to partner with another company for the R&D for whatever to test
- 1:01:27the market flagship. Fucking model what?
- 1:01:31Do you think it needed? Like which they needed to make
- 1:01:33it themselves. No, no.
- 1:01:35That's what it needed. I think they should have did
- 1:01:37that with like the Celica or something.
- 1:01:38Well, they did with the Corolla. Yeah, they made it themselves.
- 1:01:41Do you remember fucking Corolla? You got to think back where the.
- 1:01:45Supra. I mean, it's cool where the.
- 1:01:46Super came. From OK, a Celica the Supra was
- 1:01:50it came from a Celica that's puffed up bigger.
- 1:01:53OK, You remember my other Celica that I had?
- 1:01:56Yeah, it was pretty cool off of that.
- 1:01:58The car that looks the. Same.
- 1:02:00It looks like a jet. Whatever, but that was from
- 1:02:02wheel drive. Yeah, it's from.
- 1:02:05Wheel drive and transverse during that time.
- 1:02:07The big dog, Big dog M3. What's it in M3?
- 1:02:12A three liter or whatever and a skyline.
- 1:02:16And a skyline. Whatever in line 6, yeah, a lot
- 1:02:20of people like to say that the M3 motor of RB26 was made.
- 1:02:25Was made in. Parallel or something similar
- 1:02:28that has to do with Yamaha. And guess who made the one J and
- 1:02:31the two J? Yamaha, They're pull.
- 1:02:34They're pulling. Toyota's strategy was probably
- 1:02:37to pull instead of you thinking like, oh, they're not making it
- 1:02:40in house, they're not doing this da da, da, da.
- 1:02:42Their strategy was to pull the best of what is the best at that
- 1:02:45time. B58 amazing engine, great motor.
- 1:02:50They cancelled the car. They.
- 1:02:51Pulled that from. They cancelled.
- 1:02:53The car as Yeah. I mean I good.
- 1:02:55Car three years three years it seemed like they were just doing
- 1:02:59like market testing without having to spend their own money
- 1:03:04right and it and it works for both because like if if
- 1:03:07consumers are like yeah we want sports cars now then Toyota and
- 1:03:11BMW can both go back into making sports cars for like consumers
- 1:03:14and that's what Toyota really did right They.
- 1:03:16Like. Put money into the yards and
- 1:03:18then they developed out the Corolla and now they made like
- 1:03:21the what do you call it? Oh, God, I can't think of BRZ.
- 1:03:26Yeah, the BRZ, the GR80. 6 The GR. 86 right.
- 1:03:30And and then now they even have like the Gazoo racing line and I
- 1:03:35think recently I just saw that they're bringing the whole GR
- 1:03:37thing too in general. I'm like, what the fuck is that?
- 1:03:39Well, they're bringing back. I think I just saw today they're
- 1:03:41bringing back Toyota racing or TRD.
- 1:03:43It should have just been that from.
- 1:03:45The start what I know it should have been TRD.
- 1:03:46Like you see the GR thing I'm. Like what?
- 1:03:48Why Gazoo money in it? Well, Gazoo Racing was.
- 1:03:52A program by the CEO. What's his name?
- 1:03:55The most MO whatever. I can't remember his name but
- 1:03:59like the CEO like he, it's all corporate shit to me.
- 1:04:03So I I forgot. What the story was, but he got
- 1:04:05really into racing because while Toyota was dying out, somebody
- 1:04:09at like the program like was like, hey, come like drive with
- 1:04:12us. Basically he like fell in love
- 1:04:14with an actual motorsport and was like OK let's like actually
- 1:04:17put money into developing out like race cars and stuff so that
- 1:04:21special edition GR is named after him the whatever.
- 1:04:26Starts with an M, so I'm. Bring that crap up.
- 1:04:28I just gotta keep thinking of the guy who owns Toyota.
- 1:04:31Yeah, it's like. Moz something I can't remember.
- 1:04:35Whatever. Like it's Greg's edition.
- 1:04:37It's a special edition. GR Corolla.
- 1:04:41That does like the. Why can't I remember I got?
- 1:04:44Motorsport division, it's like. It's.
- 1:04:46Like most yeah, such. Like AM or?
- 1:04:49Something or maybe that's his nickname, I forget like why it's
- 1:04:52called that. No, just type in MO.
- 1:04:54After GR and it should come up. Yeah, yeah.
- 1:04:56OK. But it is this.
- 1:04:57Guy Yeah, Maurizio, Maurizio. Yeah, that's like.
- 1:04:59His nickname. Oh yeah, yeah, I.
- 1:05:01Heard that so. So he's like super into racing
- 1:05:04and he's the one that's like, yeah, 'cause he like start doing
- 1:05:08racing before Gazoo racing started with Toyota cars and
- 1:05:12then because they were like winning or something, they
- 1:05:15developed out actual Gazoo racing.
- 1:05:17So that's where that came from. And then I guess from, and this
- 1:05:21is all like speculation, right? I don't know any of this stuff.
- 1:05:23This is like just coming out of my ass basically.
- 1:05:25Like I hear like from like speculation.
- 1:05:27It's like it seems like because. The market.
- 1:05:31Is doing so well. All these sports cars are making
- 1:05:34all these sports cars now that they're like fuck it, let's
- 1:05:37bring back TRD Racing now. I feel like I feel.
- 1:05:41Like GR is the. TRD, would you say it's safe to
- 1:05:44say? It sounds like everybody's just
- 1:05:45trying to bring back stuff because we're all just tired of
- 1:05:48this new stuff. There's there's Kazoo.
- 1:05:50Racing and then there's TRD and then for a while TRD wasn't
- 1:05:56doing. Like Motorsports?
- 1:05:59Or they were doing like they're like making intakes for.
- 1:06:02Forerunners no one said they were doing like, what do you do
- 1:06:04on? Roads.
- 1:06:05My my. Question is, do you think, do
- 1:06:07you guys think that nostalgia is killing cars?
- 1:06:11No, no, I think. It's making it better.
- 1:06:13Yeah, I think. I think it's the only.
- 1:06:14Thing keeping it like you guys are you guys are at the.
- 1:06:16Front line of seeing this shit. Not going to lie like you guys
- 1:06:19when you have a car meet. What is a kid doing when you buy
- 1:06:23the car right off the RIP? You want to show that off?
- 1:06:27You want to go find more people that are just like you?
- 1:06:29So you guys are seeing this shit, you know?
- 1:06:31Yeah, you guys probably. See all the over the years, did
- 1:06:33you? See it go down or did you see it
- 1:06:34go up like it's a wave, right it's.
- 1:06:37It's a wave it it went from. I don't know for whatever.
- 1:06:42Reason there were no cool cars from like 20 O 6 to I mean 2000
- 1:06:46yeah 2006 to like 20 what 10 yeah because of the recession
- 1:06:50like. They cut.
- 1:06:51Yeah, yeah, yeah. There's also.
- 1:06:53Japanese. Sorry, not Not for what?
- 1:06:55But that was it, right? Real World Economic.
- 1:06:58Crisis, but at that. Time.
- 1:07:00That's true though. Right.
- 1:07:02So like. Because of that.
- 1:07:03A lot of manufacturers stopped making, like, cool cars.
- 1:07:05And the only thing that was kind of cool that was around them was
- 1:07:08the Z, the 350Z, right? Yeah.
- 1:07:10And that's how that became like today's like 240 that like our S
- 1:07:13chassis that everyone like uses now.
- 1:07:15That was the death of Nissan 2000. 3 so.
- 1:07:18Yeah. To me or the.
- 1:07:19Rebirth it was If it was a rebirth, that was a.
- 1:07:22With the 2000 with the. Z ugly child with the Z being
- 1:07:25new, right? It's like a completely different
- 1:07:27chapter. It is a totally different
- 1:07:29chapter. Of motorsport because.
- 1:07:32When the S chassis was the S chassis like how we all know the
- 1:07:35S chassis when they were like 500 bucks chassis like you just.
- 1:07:38Knew it as the. Shitter that was that was like
- 1:07:40the car where you're like, yeah, I need a thrash car S chassis.
- 1:07:44This is the one. This is the my me too car.
- 1:07:46Now, Now it's how. Everything is you.
- 1:07:48Know electronic you don't even have a break to like pull up.
- 1:07:52It's a yeah. I don't get that.
- 1:07:53It's I feel like. Well, some people are fighting
- 1:07:55it. Like they don't like they just
- 1:07:57made like a simple car. Like, I don't need all of that.
- 1:08:00Well, that's what. That's what the that's what the
- 1:08:02A6 is supposed to be. Yeah.
- 1:08:04And it is. And it does.
- 1:08:05Good. It's a good friend.
- 1:08:06He's done. Donuts in that thing.
- 1:08:08I love that car so much, it's so nice.
- 1:08:09So. And then that is.
- 1:08:10Like that's like the next generation now.
- 1:08:12So it's like it's like for us throwing up, it was 240, then
- 1:08:16the next Gen. was 350 and now it's going to be the 86.
- 1:08:19And the newsy has a. Handbrake too, I believe it
- 1:08:22doesn't have a but it's too expensive.
- 1:08:23That's the the cost of entry for using that car.
- 1:08:26So that car, that car. It is like 40 grand but then
- 1:08:30they just market the fuck up for like 5 years straight I think
- 1:08:33the the market. Is correcting on that slowly?
- 1:08:37Yeah, the Z's. Now are like.
- 1:08:39Down, but like I mean everywhere because.
- 1:08:41There's, there's less. I don't know.
- 1:08:44There's less. I don't know how to say people
- 1:08:46are not going to. Buy the cars when?
- 1:08:48There's a markup. So like, people stopped buying
- 1:08:50them, so they stopped marking them up.
- 1:08:51Yeah. And then they were like, oh, I
- 1:08:52guess we're going to. Cancel the car.
- 1:08:53It's like that's that's when. The the used car market fucking
- 1:08:56skyrocketed. Yeah, we have too many.
- 1:08:58Cars, that's what I mean. Like there's a lot of shit just
- 1:09:01rotten, like rotting away. No, but at least sounds the type
- 1:09:04of brand. That will be like, Oh well, we
- 1:09:06tried to bring a car back but no one bought it, so I guess we're
- 1:09:09not going to make them anymore. And that's a bit time like
- 1:09:11there's. No aftermarket development, like
- 1:09:13no one's really tested it like the first couple years, Yeah,
- 1:09:17not to mention all the dealers. Are doubling the price of it and
- 1:09:20then all these like. Brands are doing like, heritage
- 1:09:23programs. They're just trying to, like,
- 1:09:24save, like, whatever. Old cars.
- 1:09:26Yeah, like, what are old cars like?
- 1:09:28Which is smart of them to do. Because we sell so many Nissan
- 1:09:32parts for these old cars and then like occasionally one will
- 1:09:34get discontinued and we're like OK and then it'll come back.
- 1:09:38It'll come back in like 2 months.
- 1:09:39It's like they literally won't like.
- 1:09:40We can't make any cool new cars, so let's just support all our
- 1:09:44old cool new cars like all our old like cool cars.
- 1:09:47Basically Nissan. Is one of the.
- 1:09:48Best brands with. That stuff.
- 1:09:50I have a random question. Are you?
- 1:09:51Guys, you guys need knobs in your cars?
- 1:09:54Yeah, I love knobs. Yeah.
- 1:09:56I'm a knob. The main reason that is.
- 1:09:59That is the main. Reason why I have not changed my
- 1:10:03the H rack my. Radio.
- 1:10:05Oh yeah, I love the knobs. I love knobs dude.
- 1:10:08I'm sorry, Turbo. Weird Turbo be at home center.
- 1:10:13That's crazy. Dude there I got into an
- 1:10:15Impreza. Once it wasn't like a cool car.
- 1:10:16It was just an Impreza, but the radio had fucking volume
- 1:10:19buttons. And I'm like, Oh no, oh, get
- 1:10:22pull. Over.
- 1:10:23We're all getting. Out of this shit, like I'm not
- 1:10:25doing this. That's my that's my Honda.
- 1:10:27Fit bro? That's a nightmare, I think.
- 1:10:28Malcolm's car is like that too, right?
- 1:10:29You have volume buttons? It is a nightmare.
- 1:10:31I fuck. Are you gonna be but?
- 1:10:33I have a button like I hold on no.
- 1:10:35Sometimes I don't even want to lower the ball sometimes.
- 1:10:37I'm just like fuck it, I don't even.
- 1:10:38Fuck it, I'm not even going to deal with the buns, I'll just
- 1:10:40drive in silence. Fuck off.
- 1:10:44Yeah. I'm driving an idea like forget
- 1:10:45this. You know, You know what is.
- 1:10:47Was a weird thought to me the other day because I I I don't
- 1:10:51have an OEM radio anymore nor have I ever had one in a long
- 1:10:54time radio. They're great.
- 1:10:55I know you. Do Yeah, that's my thing.
- 1:10:57And and Frankie's. OEM radio like the Chevy ones,
- 1:11:00they got like a bunch of fucking little.
- 1:11:02I'm like, I'm going to change my treble.
- 1:11:04My like everything it's like full stereo E it's.
- 1:11:08Like my left speakers? Blown in the back and my right
- 1:11:11in the front. You got along so I can adjust
- 1:11:12everything and make it sound normal.
- 1:11:14You could still do that, but. Digitally but like now it's like
- 1:11:17like doing some of that touch screen fuck.
- 1:11:19Out of here dude, we bought a. We like our buddy venmoed us to
- 1:11:23go buy him a Sequoia that was like 20 minutes from us so we
- 1:11:25did it yesterday. It had OEM radio to turn on the
- 1:11:28radio. It used to be you hit the
- 1:11:31volume. Yeah, always.
- 1:11:34Yeah. Click the volume knob that it's
- 1:11:37not anymore I. Have no idea how to turn.
- 1:11:39A radio on how to turn it on anymore.
- 1:11:42But but I did. That yesterday or last night,
- 1:11:45Like I got in the truck and I was like, whoa, boop.
- 1:11:48And then to skip. To tune the radio, because I've
- 1:11:51had to listen to the radio, Yeah, you have to fucking tune
- 1:11:53it with the other knob. I could scroll through every
- 1:11:56radio, my everyday life, in one swipe.
- 1:11:58I was like, wow, this is fucking.
- 1:11:59I mean, brilliant. There's still head units.
- 1:12:01You can buy that. Doesn't they do Who's?
- 1:12:03The one company that does, I'll never buy a head unit.
- 1:12:06Doesn't pine wood? And Blau Punk make a nice OEM
- 1:12:09one I I do. In in the AW11, I have a Pioneer
- 1:12:13that's like the 90s. Like it comes out and flips.
- 1:12:16Hell yeah. Oh yeah.
- 1:12:17But also still. Has puns.
- 1:12:18Because I'm like, I need the knob perfect.
- 1:12:20I need the knob that's the best. That's like.
- 1:12:22A JS car. Yeah, we just spent a long time
- 1:12:25trying to find a fucking head unit that looked bright.
- 1:12:27There's. I love that.
- 1:12:28Thing, man, it's just like and it's just enough space for it to
- 1:12:32yeah, only if I'm in neutral if I shift in first or yeah, yeah,
- 1:12:35yeah, touch the. Radio, it's just like.
- 1:12:37I gotta go back down fucking geared that I could fuck with
- 1:12:39the radio. What about the dolphin radio
- 1:12:41with the? Dolphin that would like yeah,
- 1:12:42that radio. Those are cool man.
- 1:12:44On eBay. Yeah, eBay.
- 1:12:46They're like, I mean, 100. Bucks I mean my my radio has a
- 1:12:50remote. Does yours?
- 1:12:51Ohh yeah, the remote. Remote.
- 1:12:54I fucking hate the remote. My question.
- 1:12:57Why the fuck would I have ever needed that?
- 1:13:00I don't know. I don't know.
- 1:13:01What I don't know, like am I going to be across?
- 1:13:04The you know what but like. I.
- 1:13:05Still keep the remote in my car just in case like.
- 1:13:09But I don't know what just. In case I need it, you know
- 1:13:11where I think that came from. From the whole show car, yeah,
- 1:13:14definitely, but yeah. For sure, like for sure.
- 1:13:16So yeah, for. Sure, yeah.
- 1:13:18For sure. Yeah, exactly.
- 1:13:19For sure. Raise the volume up.
- 1:13:21No change the song dude when I had.
- 1:13:23We had fucking. Bluetooth now.
- 1:13:25Dude, when I first got the. Integra, I remember I had the
- 1:13:28head unit where still single. Did you had a double DIN back?
- 1:13:31You're rich. Yeah.
- 1:13:33Yeah, that was true only because the radio.
- 1:13:35Was bigger like that world? They were more money.
- 1:13:38They were like more expensive. Yeah, yeah.
- 1:13:41And you could take the. The Yeah, that's what I was
- 1:13:43trying to say. I.
- 1:13:43Would take off the faceplate and you put it in this little case
- 1:13:47in the glove box. Lock the glove box.
- 1:13:50Yeah, dude. People just steal radios.
- 1:13:52Back good you. Have to do that because they
- 1:13:55would literally. Steal your radio.
- 1:13:56My father's Integra had one. He would click it, pops off, pop
- 1:13:59it off, put in the little case to get upstairs, bring it back
- 1:14:01down and he would be upset if he forgot it dude.
- 1:14:05Oh. Yeah, no music, nothing.
- 1:14:08Yeah, fuck dude. And that was way before, you
- 1:14:11know. Now we have Bluetooth in the
- 1:14:12cigarette lighter. I will say Bluetooth.
- 1:14:14Is changed the game Bluetooth is.
- 1:14:16Good, that's one thing I'll be like.
- 1:14:18OK, that shit's good. I don't have it, but it's good.
- 1:14:20Do you like? Do you remember when quick
- 1:14:22releases first got kind of popular?
- 1:14:25Right before me. I bought that as a theft.
- 1:14:27Deterrent but like because there.
- 1:14:30Used to be a lock. That you put on it.
- 1:14:32Yeah. Yeah, they still have.
- 1:14:33That after you. Take the thing off.
- 1:14:34Yeah, I went out of my way to buy that motherfucker.
- 1:14:36The the. One from work.
- 1:14:38Spell is actually really good. Yeah, the one I have like.
- 1:14:40This thing where if you. If you start fucking with it,
- 1:14:43it'll put the it'll start activating the horn.
- 1:14:46Yeah. Wow, it's sick.
- 1:14:47That's actually really good. Yeah.
- 1:14:49That is not we sell those affected mortgage.
- 1:14:53That is. Not the NRG.
- 1:14:55One that I bought for V race works.
- 1:14:56Yeah, God damn long ago, yeah. But dude, that.
- 1:15:00Was like a whole process. I'm just picturing that whole
- 1:15:02thing. It was literally like off it
- 1:15:04would be. Then you click off everything.
- 1:15:07Radio click. Is.
- 1:15:09That a Honda pull this. On that.
- 1:15:11Or before you had that club. Oh yeah, dude.
- 1:15:16And they're still effective. To this day, they're not
- 1:15:18effective, man, I mean. They they're not even close to
- 1:15:20being effective, bro. Like they're not they're not
- 1:15:23even close to being effect. Got a?
- 1:15:25Story to go. You could cut the steering
- 1:15:27wheel. Turn.
- 1:15:28It comes right off like if there's no literal.
- 1:15:30Wheel itself, yeah, there's that.
- 1:15:32Things are. Like we used to.
- 1:15:35Well, no, no, no. I mean we used.
- 1:15:36To use we used to use the the clubs like that's what it's
- 1:15:40called it's called the club, right yeah, the club.
- 1:15:42And then you would do a comma with the club for one for the
- 1:15:45clutch from like the stand down to the.
- 1:15:48Clutch. Oh yeah, double it up to sound.
- 1:15:50Like, you know, but like it didn't matter because.
- 1:15:54Literally 11 saw of like the wheel both ones slip right off.
- 1:15:58It's like it's damn. I used to have a boot.
- 1:16:01A boot? Oh, you get out.
- 1:16:02And put the boot on. OK, that.
- 1:16:05Yeah, that. Little alpha.
- 1:16:06Boot. That's the one I had.
- 1:16:07I think you had a boot too. Yeah, dude, live.
- 1:16:10There's a Honda. Kid.
- 1:16:12Oh, Honda life. OK, Boot.
- 1:16:13Yeah, the theme for the Wheel. Before that it was the club then
- 1:16:17I had. They should sell all that with
- 1:16:18the Honda when you get it Should.
- 1:16:20Be a kid. It should be like the Honda kit.
- 1:16:21Yeah, that's a good idea. Here's the here's.
- 1:16:24The kicker and the absolute cherry on top for the Hondas
- 1:16:27when you had one was the fucking alarm.
- 1:16:29When you click it, it would hit the and they're like yeah, steal
- 1:16:34this. I fucking dare.
- 1:16:35You fucking dare. You wait.
- 1:16:37What does that? Alarm do.
- 1:16:38Like out of I don't know every Viper.
- 1:16:39Viper. Viper.
- 1:16:41Every Viper. Fucking Viper alarm dude.
- 1:16:44Viper's armed. I don't know why, but my
- 1:16:46grandfather. Chose to get the most fucking
- 1:16:48heinous Viper alarm ever in the Philippines.
- 1:16:51It would go Viper armed. Yes, Viper armed you're.
- 1:16:55Like whoa whoa, disarm that bitch.
- 1:16:59Like if you got. Closer to the car, it would say
- 1:17:02something. Yeah, it'd be like it, would it?
- 1:17:03Would click step away from the vehicle?
- 1:17:05Yes. It would it, would it would say
- 1:17:07something? Yeah.
- 1:17:08And get away like. What that's?
- 1:17:10Are we doing cool? Also really annoying.
- 1:17:12To take out of a car it is. That's the only experience.
- 1:17:15I have a Viper. Alarms ripping them out of cars
- 1:17:16on On that same note, how do you.
- 1:17:17Guys feel about push the starts. I don't know me.
- 1:17:20Personally, I don't. Like them at all.
- 1:17:22But I don't think I it's, I don't think it's up to me.
- 1:17:25They're coming no matter what. S2000 has the key.
- 1:17:27And the button same time but it came like that.
- 1:17:30It came like that. I'm with that and that is also
- 1:17:33fucking. Retarded when you go.
- 1:17:37Back, it's better. Than just a.
- 1:17:38Button. Yeah, it's here.
- 1:17:40Yeah. It's like, all right, let.
- 1:17:41Me. Just let me.
- 1:17:41Start my car. Why?
- 1:17:45Do we just have to? Add a step.
- 1:17:47OK. Fucking.
- 1:17:48This this gonna sound fucking. Retarded this gonna sound so
- 1:17:51fucking retarded now but the I as I put pushed the start.
- 1:17:57I remember that shit. I forgot, turned into a Honda.
- 1:17:59As I forgot it's. Because though.
- 1:18:02There was a purpose. I couldn't get the key to work
- 1:18:05normal. Neither could Honda.
- 1:18:07So. They're like fuck it, just add
- 1:18:09that and maybe the problem the the thing about.
- 1:18:11Honda is it doesn't even do the like forward click.
- 1:18:13Oh, but what about kill switches?
- 1:18:15Kill switches is important. That's how you save your car,
- 1:18:19right? Have you guys ever.
- 1:18:20Had a car. Stolen.
- 1:18:23No. OK, never.
- 1:18:24I had one. Near miss, Very near.
- 1:18:27Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. No one's stealing my yellow one
- 1:18:30now, though. It would suck for the near miss.
- 1:18:32Where? In Ramsey.
- 1:18:34Really. Yeah, it What Car?
- 1:18:37I had the Integra. Oh, no wonder.
- 1:18:39There we go. Hondas.
- 1:18:40Like I, I. Remember.
- 1:18:42Fucking no wonder I I remember my.
- 1:18:44Brother and I our bedroom window face the street and the the the
- 1:18:48Integra. I would always just back it in
- 1:18:50and we live right off of Route 17.
- 1:18:52Why is it? So like Honda thing like I don't
- 1:18:55get it. It's easy to steal it.
- 1:18:57You could. Have started that shit with a
- 1:18:58spool. Yeah, like there.
- 1:18:59We go. You would just shove it in and
- 1:19:01like the key like. It was all round already.
- 1:19:03The key is you can seal. Them like, Oh yeah, they have
- 1:19:06some weird. Things, literally.
- 1:19:09Like a screwdriver. Screwdriver was started, they
- 1:19:12come up. With a thing is still 240 like.
- 1:19:14That too. You just take a screwdriver and
- 1:19:16a hammer and it's gonna, it's gonna go in, it's gonna watch 2
- 1:19:19something. You know what?
- 1:19:20I think. What it was like a lot of old
- 1:19:22Hondas had like the locks that were like push locks.
- 1:19:26It wasn't like mechanical, like, I mean, sorry, I wasn't
- 1:19:28electronic. It was all like mechanical.
- 1:19:30So you could just literally, literally just like kind of
- 1:19:33thing, dangle it up and then unlock yourself into the car.
- 1:19:35Maybe that's yeah, that's. Probably more of the reason it's
- 1:19:38crazy because in New York the most.
- 1:19:39Stolen car period. Is a Honda Accord still still to
- 1:19:43this day? I don't really get it.
- 1:19:48I don't really get it but yo at least they choosing like.
- 1:19:50A sensible ass car like that's a good.
- 1:19:52Car like this car won't bring down.
- 1:19:54On me, that is a good car. V6 It could fit the family.
- 1:19:58But that but that near miss. I had backed it up.
- 1:20:00We were right off of the highway.
- 1:20:01I remember, I remember a car came, it parked across the
- 1:20:05street. That's immediately No one parks
- 1:20:08across the street like my brother's, like, hey, there's a
- 1:20:11car parked across it. Where's the taggy?
- 1:20:18Standing outside like washed in the.
- 1:20:19Car like what are you doing out there and then.
- 1:20:21He and then as. Soon as I feel like he saw the
- 1:20:23the the lights moving, he left. He came back.
- 1:20:25He parked across the street. This happened a bunch of times.
- 1:20:28Then he went into the little there was like a doctor's in
- 1:20:31like by the tack shop on 17. You know what that looks like?
- 1:20:33Yeah, kind of right behind the aquarium store or whatever
- 1:20:36tropical fish or whatever, it's behind there.
- 1:20:38He was like circling around in there.
- 1:20:40I started to get ballsy with. I straight up like I walked up
- 1:20:43to the car. Yeah.
- 1:20:44Yo, what are you? Doing.
- 1:20:45What are you doing here? What are you doing here?
- 1:20:47I've been watching you for three hours.
- 1:20:49Yeah. I like like you keep.
- 1:20:50Coming back here and I watch you and then he just like wouldn't
- 1:20:53lower the window and just drove the fuck off.
- 1:20:55I was like did good you. Scared God, not great.
- 1:21:01Do you guys? What are you following
- 1:21:01questions? No, no, no, I just fucking.
- 1:21:04Crystal was asking about. The questions, OK, so.
- 1:21:06I asked a question question for each of these guys and I want
- 1:21:12you to try to figure out which question it was.
- 1:21:14So let's hear. OK.
- 1:21:15You want to look at the questions we got here, that's
- 1:21:17from Krista. Yeah, we should probably get
- 1:21:19into. That if we're what time is it
- 1:21:21now for a solid hour here has it.
- 1:21:24Been an hour. It's been like an hour and a
- 1:21:26half. Yeah, an hour and a half.
- 1:21:26Holy shit. Hey, it happens.
- 1:21:28Yeah, we should definitely get on the questions.
- 1:21:30It does happen. We have talked about nothing,
- 1:21:33but that's true. I mean, Seinfeld was.
- 1:21:37Successful, right? Well, we well.
- 1:21:40Daikoku is actually a nonprofit. Daikoku NYC is a nonprofit in
- 1:21:45program name. Oh, you don't.
- 1:21:48Oh. Let me just read them, OK?
- 1:21:50All right. Well.
- 1:21:53There's a lot on here, so I knew I.
- 1:21:55Fucking knew. There was going to be, so I'm
- 1:21:57going to have to go through. These.
- 1:21:59At rear, city's got a lot of people.
- 1:22:00Man, that's cool. I have people hitting me up
- 1:22:02like, oh fuck yeah, dude. I'm like, Oh my gosh.
- 1:22:07Dude, another buddy of. Mine Mikey was like.
- 1:22:11My. Buddy Mikey was like.
- 1:22:13This one might be. This one's going to be a good
- 1:22:14one for the local guys. I'm like.
- 1:22:19Mikey, whoever he. Is.
- 1:22:21Mikey X3 clean ass tag first. Yeah, first question is real.
- 1:22:29Reels versus reps, what is that, I guess?
- 1:22:32Wheels. Oh, real wheels.
- 1:22:34Versus Rep wheels. What are your opinions on this?
- 1:22:36No reps. Ever.
- 1:22:37Period. Damn, what?
- 1:22:40What? Why?
- 1:22:43Stands like whoa whoa whoa. Whatever you're gonna afford.
- 1:22:48Yeah, yeah. Whatever you're gonna afford,
- 1:22:50you're gonna afford real ones. Get real ones.
- 1:22:52You. Can't.
- 1:22:53Yeah, reps got reps. Like whatever you're gonna do
- 1:22:55reps though if they. Fit.
- 1:22:56Good. Yeah, I mean and.
- 1:22:57When they break like. Maybe get new rest Yeah, get.
- 1:23:01New rest they're. They're they weren't that
- 1:23:03expensive. I've lived both lives.
- 1:23:07On my Altima I had a. Fake pair of Tees?
- 1:23:10Oh, on my GS currently I have a pair of and.
- 1:23:13What happened to those did. Those not crack because you hit
- 1:23:16like some. Yeah, yeah.
- 1:23:18If you have fake wheels. And you drive in New York City
- 1:23:20and they don't break. Wait, wait, wait.
- 1:23:21Though apparently Josh told me this real Tees crack even
- 1:23:27easier. I've never had a pair.
- 1:23:28Really probably depends on our vibe.
- 1:23:30That's why our our buddy Josh that's that's damn quite frankly
- 1:23:33by like. I have a on the front of my GS.
- 1:23:36I have a pair of work ZR 10s. Oh, I do like those.
- 1:23:39Ones and I have on the rear. I do have the full set, but I
- 1:23:42just I like the rear because they're bigger.
- 1:23:44I have a pair of SSRGT threes and they've held up.
- 1:23:49I've hit. I've hit craters.
- 1:23:55It's gonna. Be bad.
- 1:23:57Bro it's a big A-Team. Back there, dude, I was, I
- 1:24:00walked up to the wheel with Ken earlier.
- 1:24:02I was like SSR GT3. I haven't seen these wheels in a
- 1:24:05while. And then I realized the car was
- 1:24:06on. I was like.
- 1:24:09I come back, I'm like, hello. I've lived both lives.
- 1:24:12And I, I kind of do agree with Stan.
- 1:24:13It's like, you know, whatever you can afford in that moment.
- 1:24:16Yeah. I think it's more of like a work
- 1:24:18your way up type of thing, you know, Yeah, kind of.
- 1:24:20Yeah, and you can't afford it. Stay stuck.
- 1:24:23Damn, no. I mean, there are.
- 1:24:25Some really nice stock wheels out there, you know?
- 1:24:27Yeah, there are hold. Lexus Lines.
- 1:24:29And I like that everyone's got. Different.
- 1:24:30I like the. IS300.
- 1:24:32Wheels on the LS400 a lot the seventeens.
- 1:24:35Yeah, we have an abundance of them.
- 1:24:37Take them please IS. People can't get.
- 1:24:40Rid of them, dude, we have so many.
- 1:24:43We'll talk. I think we have.
- 1:24:46One more set. Actually, we might, because my
- 1:24:49roommate unloaded a set last week and I was like, somebody
- 1:24:53needed these. No, because you know what?
- 1:24:55We have the stock sixteens on the LS and it doesn't clear like
- 1:24:58the knuckle. Oh, OK, so the.
- 1:25:00Seventeens. Just cleared in.
- 1:25:01They do like you dude. I don't know, I.
- 1:25:03Think, I think the whole real verse Rep thing, it just depends
- 1:25:07on there are really, really bad reps, dude.
- 1:25:11There's like, really fragile wheels out there, and then
- 1:25:14there's rear wheels that are also fragile, like in a
- 1:25:19different way. It's like you shouldn't use this
- 1:25:21on the street because this is a race car.
- 1:25:23Dyer Yeah, Not to sound like Volk's.
- 1:25:25Marketing team or something, but maybe what Josh was talking
- 1:25:29about, maybe there's like a difference between the impacts
- 1:25:31they're designed to take. I'm just, you know what I mean?
- 1:25:32Pulling that out of my ass because like a race car.
- 1:25:35You don't fucking hear about this.
- 1:25:36You don't. You don't hit like.
- 1:25:37Craters, Craters in the road. You hit rumble strips.
- 1:25:40You got a rumble strip, you guys.
- 1:25:41Think there's a? There's a.
- 1:25:41Difference between like one piece and three piece wheels?
- 1:25:44Yeah, yeah, they hold up. Think three piece holds up
- 1:25:46better or for drifting I'd actually.
- 1:25:48Prefer three piece wheels because if I hit a curb or
- 1:25:52something I can replace the lip, Yeah, I think.
- 1:25:55That's what it is. It's just the.
- 1:25:56Accessibility of like I can just take this off, put another one
- 1:25:58in, but we had we had this talk. With a pain in the ass, we had
- 1:26:01this talk. With a bunch of me.
- 1:26:02And the other yellow fever guys, the the it's, it used to be.
- 1:26:06That's the argument, but the problem is is you get how much
- 1:26:10is is a is a lip. Let's you gotta let's say you
- 1:26:12gotta re lips used to be 200 bucks It's.
- 1:26:15Not yeah. I think it's like 450 bucks and
- 1:26:18you gotta do it yourself and. Then you gotta do it yourself.
- 1:26:20And how? Much is the pair of reps.
- 1:26:21And then that's that's how much? How much instead of reps?
- 1:26:24Well, I'm not buying. I'm not buying reps.
- 1:26:25How much is this? Sort of reps Never been on reps.
- 1:26:28I have, I have, I have when I out of.
- 1:26:29My S14, Yeah, your very first car.
- 1:26:31Ever so, but isn't that? Everyone's first.
- 1:26:33Car, everyone's first car. But what I was what I'm saying
- 1:26:35is. Now and I would run rush for
- 1:26:37like spares. Or something for drifting a real
- 1:26:39wheel as an example. That the buddy that we were
- 1:26:41having this conversation with Ethan, 'cause he blew up his
- 1:26:43front left one, it's a it's a gram light.
- 1:26:45It's a 57 Dr. and that's what I have on the.
- 1:26:48Eight O 811 that's perfect yeah, because when.
- 1:26:51He blew up that wheel. Let's say if we was going to re
- 1:26:53lip a wheel and you had to pay 400 bucks, you got to do all
- 1:26:55this labor. Then he bought another wheel.
- 1:26:56Well if the wheel is like 450. Bucks.
- 1:26:59Then yeah, yeah, the mono blocks are like.
- 1:27:02It's, it's, it's, it's like this now.
- 1:27:04So I'm like, I don't even know what to do.
- 1:27:05I mean, it really depends. On like what your purpose is
- 1:27:08for, right? Yeah.
- 1:27:09So like, yeah, like. What's your purpose like if
- 1:27:12you're going to go drifting? Like what does it matter?
- 1:27:13Like at that point, Whichever. One you like more.
- 1:27:16I have a different. Dude, there's like a whole
- 1:27:20echelon of wheels in Japan that people look over because they're
- 1:27:23all ugly. But they fit on the IS good.
- 1:27:26So I've been buying all those. That's why I have the wheels I
- 1:27:28have now. They're like 2 piece.
- 1:27:30They weigh a gajillion pounds. Ask Frankie though.
- 1:27:34I run that bitch. No tire.
- 1:27:37No tires. Ask Frankie.
- 1:27:38Wait, what? Like you remember.
- 1:27:40Like if the tire comes off. What do you mean?
- 1:27:41Like just I'll drive on the. RIM just yeah.
- 1:27:43Drive on the rim. I drifted.
- 1:27:45Do you remember that one day, Carl kind of drives me out.
- 1:27:48Of my mind with his wheels because like I'm always like,
- 1:27:50yo, if you relipt these UK size, he's pretty good.
- 1:27:52He's like man, fuck it. Then he'll get another set and
- 1:27:55I'm like, dude, I was driving, man.
- 1:27:57Tire blew off. I just started driving back
- 1:27:59towards them. It's just going wheels straight.
- 1:28:03Straight as fuck. Yeah car.
- 1:28:04It sounds like you buy a. Lot of wheels?
- 1:28:05No, she used to a lot. Same pair you used to buy.
- 1:28:08I have a question. Do you for someone who's coming
- 1:28:12up in the car game, do you tell them always go for full sets or
- 1:28:15try to buy pairs as you go and then work your way to a full
- 1:28:18set? I like.
- 1:28:20I don't know why, but I have a strong opinion on this, yeah.
- 1:28:22It's it's like. Again, it's still what you can
- 1:28:24afford, don't kill your life over this shit.
- 1:28:26But I like going with the full set motion because then now
- 1:28:31after you have the set, you split it up.
- 1:28:37After. Now, now, no one's getting the
- 1:28:39full set amusement. You.
- 1:28:41You. Maybe.
- 1:28:42Maybe you? Take the better you take the
- 1:28:44better pair, you feel me? You you, you sell the.
- 1:28:48You sell the pair where it's a weaker spec, get it out, get a
- 1:28:52better pair. I mean, I've done that.
- 1:28:53I've done that. Then you get the pair to match.
- 1:28:55That you actually like. I like matching wheels on.
- 1:28:58Cars, If it's a drift car, I'll give you a pass.
- 1:29:02Like if I see you on the street or something, OK, maybe he's
- 1:29:04doing something, but I feel like the drift style like.
- 1:29:08Yeah, like went into car. Meet community people and I'm
- 1:29:12like no no no, we don't want to have mixed match wheels.
- 1:29:16It's just we can afford. Yeah that's like a full like 4
- 1:29:20sets of the nice ones, you know what I mean?
- 1:29:22I literally found my ZR. 10s for $500 on Facebook.
- 1:29:25See. Yeah, but.
- 1:29:26If you're. Trying.
- 1:29:26Yeah, if you're trying. To get to us.
- 1:29:29Yeah. Then I understand what you're
- 1:29:30doing. I never thought of it like that.
- 1:29:31Yeah. Yeah.
- 1:29:32But yeah, dude. Buying in trading.
- 1:29:35Wheels used to be so easy too. Put it.
- 1:29:39Put it. I mean like we.
- 1:29:40Used to be 15 inches you like. You are old, alright.
- 1:29:45Like you could. No, seriously.
- 1:29:47Like 17 inch, 18 inch wheels were fucking big back then.
- 1:29:50Yeah, yeah. Now cars come with. 20s yeah,
- 1:29:52and now like 17. 'S just small.
- 1:29:54I was like, what? I remember putting What about?
- 1:29:56The fucking Honda's. Type R when it came with
- 1:29:58nineteens or what 20/20/20 was ridiculous.
- 1:30:02Like that was so stupid, like. Make songs about.
- 1:30:05Rolling on doves because doves were like, big yeah, like.
- 1:30:08And then they said it. Came out on.
- 1:30:09Literal. That was the only thing I hated
- 1:30:11about. Like car culture before?
- 1:30:13I used to get the bigger wheels to fill the gap.
- 1:30:15Yeah, when we lower the. Cars to fill.
- 1:30:16Fill dude we literally get smaller.
- 1:30:18Wheels now than the factory. All the people with that Honda
- 1:30:21would get like 18 dude. It looked so.
- 1:30:23Good. Like Justin.
- 1:30:24Yeah, the blue ones. Weird.
- 1:30:26It's like. Doing the opposite now.
- 1:30:27How do you feel about spinners? I mean I.
- 1:30:30Grew up thinking they were dope as fuck on like on like the the
- 1:30:35trucks and shit trucks the. Trucks like.
- 1:30:37Navigator the. Donks like I mean.
- 1:30:39I think on VIP. Build or something could be
- 1:30:40cool. They're coming back.
- 1:30:42Someone, someone. Had.
- 1:30:43A VIP build, that one I meets with Spinners and yeah, the
- 1:30:45thing was fucking dope. It was like a tenant crazy down
- 1:30:48like spinners and shit. Is his name Kevin?
- 1:30:51Kevin from someone has spinners on their car, right?
- 1:30:53Yeah, yeah. Someone who's in the drift
- 1:30:55community has it. Yeah.
- 1:30:56Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, Kevin. Yeah.
- 1:30:57It was kind of cool. We're Facebook friends,
- 1:30:59actually. I don't know, it's almost like a
- 1:31:00novelty. Like, you know, I they don't do
- 1:31:03anything. I mean, it's not giving you more
- 1:31:05error, right? Kind of interesting with
- 1:31:06drifting. Though 'cause it's like, maybe I
- 1:31:09thought of it bro watching. As a hazard immediately.
- 1:31:12Oh, like it'll pop off like a. Pop off Spectator.
- 1:31:14On the side, just like yeah. That's a gone final.
- 1:31:17Destination. Drift Edition like that?
- 1:31:18Video with the kid that got hit with the cone.
- 1:31:21Wait. Could you imagine?
- 1:31:22Wait. I need to see this.
- 1:31:23There's I don't, I don't. How are we?
- 1:31:25How do we bring it up? We're not gonna we need.
- 1:31:27To find there's like a big. Video.
- 1:31:29Out there where there's like, like he, he, I think it was that
- 1:31:31final or it might have been a oh, maybe we've seen this.
- 1:31:35Oh my God. It's it wasn't that final bout.
- 1:31:38It was that, oh, but somebody. Got smoked by a cone?
- 1:31:42After they hit it, yeah, his face was like.
- 1:31:44Yeah, so I. Imagine the.
- 1:31:45Spin, dude. The wing.
- 1:31:46Remember the Wing? Isn't it a wing?
- 1:31:49Yeah. Yeah, somebody to get.
- 1:31:52Hit in the face with a wing. I don't remember.
- 1:31:54I think the phone might have been at GLD.
- 1:31:57OK, that little skid pad track that Josh and him, Malcolm's
- 1:31:59over there like. Find it not gonna find it but
- 1:32:04find it clip. But yeah, like.
- 1:32:07I think I agree with him. Like in drifting, I don't think
- 1:32:09spinners should be a thing. Like I really I feel like a
- 1:32:12hazard. Yes, absolutely, it could be I.
- 1:32:15Don't. I've never seen how they're
- 1:32:15attached. Some of them, some of them are
- 1:32:17just. Bolted on with like a, you know,
- 1:32:18Allen key and yeah, this is it. This.
- 1:32:21Has got to be it. Oh.
- 1:32:23God now? Imagine A.
- 1:32:25Spinner. Oh my.
- 1:32:27God, look at his. Neck Malcolm when he got not
- 1:32:29holy. Shit, hold on.
- 1:32:32Dude. His neck is not OK.
- 1:32:35Oh. Is that real?
- 1:32:37I hope that. Person is all.
- 1:32:38Right. Oh, he hit the ground.
- 1:32:43I can't. Stop laughing.
- 1:32:44He had to hit the ground. You get back up, but look at.
- 1:32:47That look at. This part that looks so fake,
- 1:32:49it's so crazy. Dude.
- 1:32:53His neck bent in. Some crazy way.
- 1:32:59Sick. Entry though by this I've never
- 1:33:01seen. This video, by the way, they get
- 1:33:05the fuck out of it like that is. So not like.
- 1:33:08Imagine the spinner flying off your wheel at it's only matter
- 1:33:12town. At the bank and it.
- 1:33:13Just it's only matter of time, yeah.
- 1:33:15Someone gets the final destination.
- 1:33:18Unless you got over there, Frankie.
- 1:33:19What's the best way to contact? You guys so I don't miss the
- 1:33:22next event, someone said well we.
- 1:33:24Try to help. A lot of small.
- 1:33:26Businesses in New York, so we always try to promote small
- 1:33:29businesses and visiting them is definitely the best way to know
- 1:33:33when we might be holding like a word of mouth event or something
- 1:33:36like that. So oh OK so you don't post all?
- 1:33:38Of them we don't post all of them things.
- 1:33:40That we do post are when we work with the city.
- 1:33:43So on March 1st we're going to be doing the Lunar New Year
- 1:33:46parade in Chinatown. That one's public.
- 1:33:49We'll have like registration enough for people to come out to
- 1:33:51that and stuff completely free. Rather completely free because
- 1:33:55nothing to know about. We never.
- 1:33:57Never charged for anything and we'll also be working with a
- 1:34:05coffee shop in Chinatown for their grand opening February
- 1:34:0914th. Super wow coffee.
- 1:34:11I've seen some of your. Videos.
- 1:34:13Where is that in? Miami.
- 1:34:14No, they're they're actually based in.
- 1:34:16California that fucking can't. That that sorry, that was
- 1:34:19they're, they're California. Miami and now New York, Yeah.
- 1:34:23And they actually, they're kind of.
- 1:34:27In the drift community. As well they do, they have
- 1:34:30another brand called Super Wow Factory.
- 1:34:33Yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 1:34:34And they? Do like vinyl?
- 1:34:34Stuff Yeah, they do like vinyl, I think they.
- 1:34:36They actually did Adam Elsies. Yeah, they do a lot of parts,
- 1:34:40yeah. So.
- 1:34:41We're gonna be doing helping out with their grand opening the
- 1:34:4414th. So a couple of us will be out
- 1:34:46there with some cars and stuff like that and that's like the
- 1:34:49best way to find us is like go visit these small businesses,
- 1:34:52talk to the people there. They'll give you information do.
- 1:34:55You purposely not. Advertise all of them because.
- 1:34:59Of the amount of people or like, OK, there's a couple reasons.
- 1:35:03Why, like amount of people for sure is 1.
- 1:35:06But I feel like the word of mouth aspect really kind of
- 1:35:08brings the community closer. It makes it where you have to
- 1:35:12talk to your, you have to kind of tell them about the event.
- 1:35:14And it makes it where like you want to tell your friends about
- 1:35:17like the event. It's like, yo, I heard about
- 1:35:19this thing. Why don't you come with me to
- 1:35:20come check it out? And it makes it feel more
- 1:35:23inclusive for everyone instead of like, oh, you didn't see the
- 1:35:27flyer. It's like, well, you know,
- 1:35:28you're getting invited by your friends.
- 1:35:29You'd rather go to a party that your friends invite you to then
- 1:35:32you see a flyer for somewhere. Yeah.
- 1:35:35And. It's got to be because there's
- 1:35:36going to. Be too many people if you put a
- 1:35:37flag there, yeah. Yeah, I mean.
- 1:35:39There's, there's that's probably going to be mobbed.
- 1:35:42I don't know about Jersey, but the new.
- 1:35:43York. Cops are like on it.
- 1:35:44Oh yeah, yeah. Yeah, but every time we do an
- 1:35:49event. We do try to talk to whatever
- 1:35:51local precinct in whatever neighborhood we're in to kind of
- 1:35:54let them know we're going to be there.
- 1:35:55We talk to, Yeah, we try to have to.
- 1:35:57I mean, we try to. Make.
- 1:35:58It as. Permitted or as.
- 1:36:01Legitimate as possible either through real permits from the
- 1:36:04city or the OK from land owners like the real estate owners like
- 1:36:10the former people and stuff. I can't count on the amount.
- 1:36:12Of times we've had like, hosted events, we told PD we were gonna
- 1:36:16be there and like, they rolled by and they were like, do your
- 1:36:19thing. I'm not even here.
- 1:36:19Like I just want to see the car. Yeah.
- 1:36:23Yeah, they used to come by and. They're here to be a part.
- 1:36:25And that's the thing, we always invite them to come join it too
- 1:36:27because we're like, hey, this is a community event.
- 1:36:29You guys are part of community. Come and join it.
- 1:36:31Come and be a part of this. It's not something we're not
- 1:36:34doing anything wrong. We're just out here trying to
- 1:36:36add some value back into this neighborhood, either through
- 1:36:39commerce or just a showcase or whatever it might be.
- 1:36:43I've seen one one of your. Videos or one of the videos of
- 1:36:46that. What's his face made for you
- 1:36:47guys? Fucking that shit was crazy
- 1:36:50dude. It was like a tight street.
- 1:36:51I'm like, how do they do this? Yeah, that's what it looked
- 1:36:54like. Yeah, I'm like, damn.
- 1:36:56Like there's like no room to do anything here.
- 1:36:58But I guess you guys make it work.
- 1:36:59But we, we organize it out. Really.
- 1:37:00Well, so you're not at a like. Coco meet unless there's a
- 1:37:03garbage truck. A boss, something crazy comes
- 1:37:07through and tries to oh through the.
- 1:37:09Tiny. Yeah, Yeah.
- 1:37:11So that's the official mark. Of a great meeting, I mean cuz
- 1:37:14it's still. A street event, right?
- 1:37:16Yeah, everything's still always happening.
- 1:37:17Like we don't block real traffic.
- 1:37:19Like that's our main thing is like we.
- 1:37:21Try not to impede on the neighborhood.
- 1:37:23We try to, you know, make sure everything is still operating.
- 1:37:26That's like one of the most important.
- 1:37:27Things I think cuz like the neighborhood is what's gonna get
- 1:37:30you shut down yeah Frankie yeah we we.
- 1:37:34It's like every time we announce an event or we're at an event,
- 1:37:37we're not here to disrupt. Yeah, we're not here to destroy
- 1:37:40are the two biggest things we go by.
- 1:37:42And it's like, traffic needs to keep moving, right?
- 1:37:46Because I can't. Like we've literally had
- 1:37:49gridlocks on Google Maps. Like we're at a meet and like
- 1:37:52you literally see all the red lines because they're so.
- 1:37:54Oh my God, right. So it's like.
- 1:37:57We need to keep traffic flowing, keep traffic moving.
- 1:38:00And you know, we tell people like, yes, you're here for the
- 1:38:02cars, but try to stay on the sidewalk out of the street so
- 1:38:05cars can just roll all through. And it just, it's just seems
- 1:38:08seamless. Try to find somewhere to park.
- 1:38:10And I mean like we'll have. We'll go through.
- 1:38:15A lot of pre planning. Before any of these meets, we'll
- 1:38:18go to like the areas we'll survey the streets, we'll like
- 1:38:20know like, OK, people are going to be coming from here, here,
- 1:38:23here. We need people at these
- 1:38:24intersections to make sure traffic's long.
- 1:38:26We got to have people helping guide parking to make sure if
- 1:38:30buses are turning in this corner, no one parked here.
- 1:38:32So they have enough space for buses to come through that.
- 1:38:35So. And then we also spend like
- 1:38:38weeks prior to the. Event.
- 1:38:40To go meet all the businesses in the neighborhood, talk with
- 1:38:43them, let them know we're going to be doing something in the
- 1:38:45neighborhood, see if they want to be involved with it as well.
- 1:38:48So we're just trying to cover all our avenues before any event
- 1:38:52happens. So it's smooth, you know, it
- 1:38:54seems like it's this quick like. Impulsive or like?
- 1:38:59Impromptu meat that just pops up out of nowhere and people come
- 1:39:02to. But like we put so much planning
- 1:39:04behind these things to make it work and feel like sometimes
- 1:39:08like months in. Advance.
- 1:39:09Yeah, no one even thinks about. That stuff when they're there,
- 1:39:12plus we we've done. The same thing over and over
- 1:39:14again with each other. So we just flow like you don't
- 1:39:17even have to think like we know, I know who's going to be
- 1:39:20responsible for what. And then we just, we've gone
- 1:39:23through enough. Iterations where trial and error
- 1:39:26has come into play enough times for us to figure out exactly
- 1:39:29what the procedure has to be for these events to flow very
- 1:39:32smoothly. And over time, that's progressed
- 1:39:34to us becoming a nonprofit. So, you know, it started with
- 1:39:37just like any car meter St. like club or whatever, just like
- 1:39:41calling people out, maybe posing a flyer here and there.
- 1:39:43But as it grew and we saw what it was becoming, we had to adapt
- 1:39:47to the situation. Yeah.
- 1:39:49And and we learned that fairly. Quickly too, yeah, especially
- 1:39:52when, you know, we were doing our garage meets in that little
- 1:39:56garage. The.
- 1:39:57Little garage you're talking about I mean so like we'll.
- 1:40:00With a single lane. That was hard to get all the
- 1:40:03cars out. You're having a meet?
- 1:40:04Yeah. Oh my.
- 1:40:07And we'll. Pull up the whole.
- 1:40:08Garage and like. Early.
- 1:40:10Very early. On when we were doing this like
- 1:40:14we weren't. Talking to NYPD.
- 1:40:15We weren't talking to anybody. We were just like, oh, cool
- 1:40:17garage. Let's just throw meat here.
- 1:40:19It'll it'll like mitigate all the other issues meats have with
- 1:40:23like loud revving and doughnuts and loud music.
- 1:40:27If we just hold it in a place, at least my thought at the time
- 1:40:29was if we hold it in a place where you got to pay to get in,
- 1:40:32there's cameras, it's going to be echoes if people are going to
- 1:40:35be revving and no one's going to want that shit.
- 1:40:37Like it'll help deteriorate the tear.
- 1:40:40All the things that you don't want at me to happen.
- 1:40:43Yeah. And then what happened?
- 1:40:45And no, that stuff happened like.
- 1:40:46That was pretty good. No, none of that.
- 1:40:48Happened like it was and it was a lot of it I, I personally
- 1:40:53think has to do with we started really small with just like a
- 1:40:56few cars coming out. It gave us the opportunity to be
- 1:41:00very personable to actually talk to everybody and let them know
- 1:41:03what we're trying to build. And, and that went on for a
- 1:41:06while. Even when we had like hundreds
- 1:41:08of people out, I would still go around trying to shake
- 1:41:10everyone's hand and like, talk to them.
- 1:41:11I'm like. Hey, this is what we're doing
- 1:41:13out here. Like thank you for.
- 1:41:14Joining us, you know, like and. It.
- 1:41:17Got to a point where we're just like, all right, cops started
- 1:41:21showing up because it got too big.
- 1:41:22And then I always see them come and I'd run over and I'd shake
- 1:41:26their hand and I'd talk to them and I'd explain like, hey, this
- 1:41:29is what we're doing. We're not like trying to be a
- 1:41:31nuisance or anything. We're just trying to enjoy this
- 1:41:34hobby. And they're like.
- 1:41:37All right, all. Right, well, we'll let it go
- 1:41:40this time and then and it just. Like.
- 1:41:43There's a lot. Of non profit.
- 1:41:47Just. Before that, right now.
- 1:41:49Now, like now. Like, I mean, I was just at the
- 1:41:52precinct yesterday talking to them about planning the parade
- 1:41:55and stuff where they're like, Oh yeah, you guys did that event
- 1:41:57like a whop. That was amazing.
- 1:41:59So like NYPD's take, they're taking notice.
- 1:42:02They're taking notice of the community and they're like, OK,
- 1:42:05hey, there are good enthusiasts. Like in New York.
- 1:42:08It's not just a takeover culture.
- 1:42:10It's not just like it's not always going to end in some type
- 1:42:16of disastrous way, so. I saw that they would come.
- 1:42:20To these events, I'd talk to them, I'd let them know like,
- 1:42:23hey, look at the people here, look at the cars here.
- 1:42:25People are just parked, they're just talking.
- 1:42:27There's nothing really going on. And they all paid.
- 1:42:29We all paid for a ticket to be in this garage.
- 1:42:32We're I guess loitering or whatever.
- 1:42:35But like who are we harming? Like what are what are we really
- 1:42:37harming right now? They'd look at us and like these
- 1:42:40cars. Are nice.
- 1:42:42And then it doesn't look like. Like exactly they're like they.
- 1:42:45Don't look out of place. And and as like I would talk to
- 1:42:49some officers, there'd be like families with strollers pushing
- 1:42:52by. I'm like, there's literally
- 1:42:53babies here. Like, you know, like, what are
- 1:42:55we trying to do? Like you think the baby's gonna
- 1:42:56do anything like so? They might I.
- 1:42:59Don't know, you know, but it became like.
- 1:43:03Even though it was a night time event, it was still very family
- 1:43:07oriented. Just the people that came out
- 1:43:08and the age groups that came out were like high school kids that
- 1:43:11had no cars to like people that have been in hibernation like,
- 1:43:14Oh yeah, this is what it used to be like back in the day.
- 1:43:16This guy, you know, so like so. So.
- 1:43:20So you have all these. Age groups and then it just
- 1:43:23became this cultural like melting pot of different age
- 1:43:25groups and ethnicities and people and, and that's how like
- 1:43:28we met. Like I would have never like
- 1:43:30have met these guys if it wasn't for like the community and
- 1:43:32stuff. And that's what it is now.
- 1:43:35It's just like everyone comes out, they'll meet some people,
- 1:43:38they feel super welcomed or kind of included in it, and then a
- 1:43:43lot of people leave with forming new friendship, new
- 1:43:45relationships, new whatever. Like I literally met my fiance
- 1:43:50out of out of meet. Really.
- 1:43:52She yeah, yeah, she came to a meet.
- 1:43:54Not even. Like my meet, just like yeah and
- 1:43:57and like I met my girlfriend. Out of meet.
- 1:44:01Shit. So yeah, you know.
- 1:44:02We I better start. Going in the.
- 1:44:04Meet. We haven't been.
- 1:44:06We actually have a friend shout. Out to Jose, who was part of our
- 1:44:09group very early on, but he also got married, had kids and you
- 1:44:13know, we might have to go to a music.
- 1:44:15I've been avoiding. This shit like a plate, that's I
- 1:44:18guess that's our problem, I guess and.
- 1:44:21It. Just became a place where people
- 1:44:23were building relationships, right?
- 1:44:25Where we talked about earlier where the events allowed enough
- 1:44:29time for people to have conversations and build
- 1:44:32relationships and even like when this all started it was same
- 1:44:36thing, me being old, like I don't have much friends now,
- 1:44:39they're all like doing their own thing, but I still want to share
- 1:44:41my passion. What can I do to do that?
- 1:44:43Like I'll try to find like the events that are going on not
- 1:44:47exactly welcomed or they're too exclusive or whatever for me to
- 1:44:50be a part of since I wasn't already in the nowhere or
- 1:44:53whatever. Like fuck it, start it myself.
- 1:44:55And then and it obviously resonated with other people that
- 1:45:00felt the same way is why it gets the support that it does right,
- 1:45:03Because it's never about us here.
- 1:45:06It's really about like the people that come out and then
- 1:45:09what you get out of coming out to take these events and it's
- 1:45:12really just meeting other people, learning about like what
- 1:45:15goes on, learning about the car culture.
- 1:45:17Like maybe you're just new to the car culture and, and people.
- 1:45:20Come from all over. Like I see Connecticut plays.
- 1:45:23I know from Texas one. All.
- 1:45:26Over. Pennsylvania.
- 1:45:28They'll come two hours. That's crazy.
- 1:45:31Someone came. To one of our meat from Albany
- 1:45:32and and it was a piece of me, I. Was like, we were just like.
- 1:45:37The pizzeria and people. Like they're coming out for a.
- 1:45:42Maybe a 2 hour event that's. Crazy to have.
- 1:45:44Driven all the way. From Texas like 18 hour drive. 2
- 1:45:48hour event. And and she's like that's.
- 1:45:50It Yeah, that's it. You.
- 1:45:51Know the, the other thing about it and not to make this longer
- 1:45:54than it really needs to be, but it's like from this, it's not
- 1:45:58just the cars like we've met photographers, we've met
- 1:46:01videographers, we've met DJs, we've met dancers, models like
- 1:46:05and then well, that's that's our whole other like.
- 1:46:08Backside this like I was a art major.
- 1:46:11I I my day job is in design. That's what I do day-to-day and
- 1:46:16I'm always trying to foster like creatives and just that's why
- 1:46:19that looks so. Good, I was about to say.
- 1:46:21Motherfuck God this is your. Cook right?
- 1:46:24Here shit. I mean, a lot of that was.
- 1:46:27Like how do I give back to the creative community as well?
- 1:46:29Like we thought, we make these cool events and in there is a
- 1:46:33creative playground for videographers, photographers to
- 1:46:36experiment with wherever the hell they want.
- 1:46:38And it's all free. Yeah.
- 1:46:39And then yeah, they. Could really just practice on
- 1:46:41the the media they got right there.
- 1:46:43We've had like, people. Who started shooting a week
- 1:46:46before our meets and it was like or just start shooting at our
- 1:46:48meets? Yeah, like phones and then we we
- 1:46:51have like group chats and stuff where it's just collaborative.
- 1:46:55Yeah. I mean, like, that just pushes
- 1:46:57other videographers and photographers into like
- 1:47:03critiquing their work and getting them better.
- 1:47:05So it's a community within a community that's pushing out
- 1:47:08creative work as well. Like we don't post.
- 1:47:11Anything on? I, I'm I'm not out there like
- 1:47:14doing Instagram post or doing whatever that account has.
- 1:47:17Farmed itself pretty nice. I don't think like.
- 1:47:21It is. All.
- 1:47:22Because we're trying to showcase other people's work and stuff.
- 1:47:26It's a platform for people to showcase their work and at the
- 1:47:29same time it's helping document the culture.
- 1:47:31So why would we not want to do that?
- 1:47:33It's a, it's a win, win for everyone.
- 1:47:35You know, we have people. Now you know photographers who
- 1:47:38now work with Lumix from our meets and our videos that
- 1:47:42they've shot. And Ken, shout out to Ken who
- 1:47:45was with us very early on. He now does like things for
- 1:47:48corporates and he goes and does videos for corporate.
- 1:47:50He quit his day job. To be full time videographer and
- 1:47:55was just shooting cars with us like non-stop.
- 1:47:57He he never shot cars before fighting us.
- 1:47:59He found us at the Lunar New Year parade like 3-2 three years
- 1:48:03ago. By chance.
- 1:48:04By chance. He's the guy that swings his
- 1:48:06thing. He's the gimbleman.
- 1:48:07No way. So he never shot cars.
- 1:48:10Before that, he she was still. Out there swinging his shit
- 1:48:12around, like just around people. Can you find the shitmel?
- 1:48:16Go what? Yeah, only can, only can.
- 1:48:18Yeah, on. Instagram.
- 1:48:19And, and I think I've seen this, yeah.
- 1:48:21And he's like. He's a human drone.
- 1:48:22Basically, and his work was amazing.
- 1:48:25Like you wash that stuff and it's like whoa.
- 1:48:27So. Like we.
- 1:48:28Brought him out to a like one of our meets and yeah, so like we
- 1:48:33brought him out to one of our meets and he just became like
- 1:48:36the guy that was shooting all that videos.
- 1:48:38Oh my God. Where he's like, yeah.
- 1:48:42Yeah, yeah, I. Never.
- 1:48:43I never knew their names or. Anything but.
- 1:48:46When he is doing this, it's performance art.
- 1:48:49It is. Click where that silicone is.
- 1:48:51Yeah, it is. It is.
- 1:48:53Performance art, it is his left actual, the product is art, but
- 1:48:58the way that he creates it is an art form.
- 1:49:00Dude, it really. Is an art form when he starts
- 1:49:03getting into the moves because he hits like a like, I'm going
- 1:49:07to wait for a shot. I'm going to wait for a shot
- 1:49:09where it looks where I'll be like, Oh my gosh, wait, like.
- 1:49:14He's probably swinging it right now and you would never know.
- 1:49:16Yeah, he would never know. And you're like.
- 1:49:20Whoa. What the fuck are you doing?
- 1:49:22Damn 964 it looks great. Has he been in?
- 1:49:23Japan, that guy. Yes, yes, yeah, he went last.
- 1:49:26Year him in a video. From Japan, probably of a car.
- 1:49:28Meter or something? Yeah.
- 1:49:29And I was like, what the fuck is that guy doing in the
- 1:49:31background? But now it makes sense, you
- 1:49:32know? So like he.
- 1:49:33Came from not doing any car videos at all and then he found
- 1:49:38one of our events. Maybe his tag photos or.
- 1:49:41Whatever. And he's just started coming.
- 1:49:42To like all of our events and then like, he's part of like,
- 1:49:45like he's our friend. Like we bring him out like
- 1:49:46everything as well. But like, he was just shooting
- 1:49:48everything. There he is.
- 1:49:49There's Ken. Yeah, fire.
- 1:49:53And then that's Rome. Who's not working with Lumix?
- 1:49:57That's. Wild man.
- 1:49:58So like, we try to foster the creatives in the community as
- 1:50:00well. I was going to say I love you,
- 1:50:02Ken. Because every time I talk about
- 1:50:03him, I have to say that no, that's.
- 1:50:05No, that's, that's so huge. I have a lot of friends who are
- 1:50:09photographers and stuff and send them out, like, yeah.
- 1:50:12Yeah, it's some. Yeah, that's.
- 1:50:13What we do? Like we'll have like critiques,
- 1:50:15like people will put in their work in this chat.
- 1:50:17We will all like a good amount of us will give critiques to the
- 1:50:21work to help better it. Or we'll go on Discord.
- 1:50:24We'll have like actual like working sessions where people
- 1:50:27like, hey, I'm working on this photo or I'm working on this
- 1:50:29video and what are some things I can do?
- 1:50:31And everyone is down to help each other.
- 1:50:33And there's different levels. There's pro people in there that
- 1:50:36do it professionally and there's people that are, they just have
- 1:50:39their phone and they just start it.
- 1:50:41But there's like the other part of there's no judgement or
- 1:50:44anything. Everyone is down to help
- 1:50:45everyone. Whose red skyline is that?
- 1:50:47I keep seeing Josh's. I think it's.
- 1:50:49Sick. Josh's love that one.
- 1:50:51It's the R34 bail side. Yeah, the bail side.
- 1:50:54I think it's cool. There is like another.
- 1:50:56R34 that I've been seeing lately.
- 1:50:59I don't. It's also red.
- 1:51:01I don't know why I can't think of.
- 1:51:04Red, Red R34. Skyline.
- 1:51:05But here's the kicker. Here's the kicker.
- 1:51:07I was just driving. It was literally did it have the
- 1:51:12ground? The the Valsi.
- 1:51:13Livery on this? Was a little while ago.
- 1:51:15There was no livery. Faded carbon hood roof, faded
- 1:51:19carbon hood. It was probably him.
- 1:51:21He delivery is relatively we just put that on there.
- 1:51:26What the Hell's going on here? That's Ken.
- 1:51:28That's Ken. That's Ken.
- 1:51:29That's that's Ken doing his thing.
- 1:51:30Isn't it crazy? I mean this is the.
- 1:51:32More tamed version of Ken. Yeah, the less this is.
- 1:51:35The very less what you want very tame.
- 1:51:39Yeah, this is the very tame. Version no Frankie dude, I.
- 1:51:42Love that. It's like the the classic
- 1:51:44photographer in the front and then he's like, no, that's how
- 1:51:46you do it. Well, cuz he's getting the.
- 1:51:49Photographer too. Yeah.
- 1:51:50OK. Yeah, yeah.
- 1:51:52It's part of it, yeah. Who's the model?
- 1:51:56Fucking Carl. Who's the model when I saw?
- 1:52:01Him at 7's day, that's where I saw him.
- 1:52:05I was like, cuz he went up, buy our cars and stuff and like
- 1:52:09we're just kind of moving at a rate.
- 1:52:11So I was like, I was right out of nowhere.
- 1:52:13Hit one of those, you know I was.
- 1:52:15Like, oh, I thought that was a TikTok transition.
- 1:52:18Like I thought you had to just do that on the phone.
- 1:52:21That's that's the human drone. So I'm going to add my own thing
- 1:52:26here. You said the best way to cut
- 1:52:27just word of mouth type stuff. I'm going to say if you do find
- 1:52:31yourself at one of these events, the best thing you could do for
- 1:52:34future events is to talk to people.
- 1:52:35Yeah, yes, that's that's kind of that's all you have.
- 1:52:38To do is just talk to it because the more people you.
- 1:52:40Meet the more chances you'll meet someone who's going to go
- 1:52:43to the next one or you know what I mean.
- 1:52:45So, but that's, you know, that's the.
- 1:52:46Beauty of it yeah yeah come meet people, get their Instagrams
- 1:52:50yeah it it spreads like. I'll tell like, you know, like
- 1:52:53the guys and everything and then they'll tell people and then
- 1:52:55they tell people and it just spreads and like within like 3-4
- 1:52:58days there's a lot of Jersey people in here.
- 1:53:00Asking how they go to the meet. I'm just saying you might have
- 1:53:03to have a jersey once. Why don't you just come over the
- 1:53:07the water here? Like, yeah, right here.
- 1:53:09This is the purpose. Place I don't know if Carl.
- 1:53:12Told you, but we. Had a meet once and the town
- 1:53:15doesn't. We can definitely help you set
- 1:53:16it. Up.
- 1:53:16Absolutely. Yeah, yeah, absolutely.
- 1:53:18Maybe we'll send you guys down the video.
- 1:53:20If, if maybe we'll. Talk to the town.
- 1:53:22We'll figure it out. The person or not the.
- 1:53:24Person you got to. Deal with here.
- 1:53:25It's a noise complaint. Doesn't.
- 1:53:26Sound like she wants to have these.
- 1:53:27Kind of events. So that's the problem.
- 1:53:30I mean, she's like the queen of the town, so, you know, but she
- 1:53:34likes me, so that's good. It's a good first step.
- 1:53:36She's got a. Position at Yeah, in a way
- 1:53:39where, I mean, you know, our meat was a little crazy.
- 1:53:43Too, I mean, we were like doing tattoos in here.
- 1:53:45Yeah. It's like it wasn't.
- 1:53:47Yeah, it was, it was a little. Probably shouldn't have been
- 1:53:50doing half of that shit. But if if you're really serious.
- 1:53:52And you want to have something like that again, hit us up.
- 1:53:55We can definitely help you. Yeah, maybe we can do a.
- 1:53:58Yeah, you know what? We could do a more.
- 1:53:59Team one, we could do a more, we could do a more Team one.
- 1:54:01Have you guys had one in Jersey yet?
- 1:54:04We've done. Cruises.
- 1:54:06Nah, we're gonna do the first. One in Jersey, we we, we did.
- 1:54:08Like a cruise during cherry blossom season.
- 1:54:13OK, to what's what's that park? Oh, I know the park.
- 1:54:15It's right. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 1:54:17I don't know the name of it, but yeah, I've been there before.
- 1:54:19So we did that one. Year, I mean.
- 1:54:22Exploded. Oh.
- 1:54:24Yeah, sorry, it was so. Interesting, because no, I was
- 1:54:28like, everybody go, go meet up. Like I'll wait for the tow
- 1:54:30truck. And they all stayed, Yeah.
- 1:54:34Yeah, there's like 12. People I never met before, we're
- 1:54:36all just driving. We met up at one place.
- 1:54:39If we do do one, we it's. Got to be on the river so we
- 1:54:41could see New York City, maybe Jersey City or something and
- 1:54:44then like. I mean, like we've never done a
- 1:54:47like an official like event or anything out here, but we've
- 1:54:50always come out for certain things anytime of like events at
- 1:54:56like E Town or anytime you gotta do collab.
- 1:55:00Yeah. What does South Jersey do?
- 1:55:01I. Took a pee for a minute.
- 1:55:02We're collabing, bro. Yeah.
- 1:55:03Dude, I have a spot. OK, alright dude, I.
- 1:55:06When this? Ends that's a That's a great
- 1:55:08start. That's a great.
- 1:55:09Start because that's how that's. How I usually start and someone
- 1:55:12comes like yo I got a spot. What's usually got?
- 1:55:14We do it. That's what we start.
- 1:55:16You have a spot like. Ask Frankie I'm the idea.
- 1:55:18Guy yeah, someone's usually called by like.
- 1:55:20Yo, I got a. Spot I saw a location that
- 1:55:23millions of ideas. I've given this the guy, so
- 1:55:26this. Is the only one.
- 1:55:27That pulls. The trigger on one the.
- 1:55:30Only one that, but it worked. Pretty well.
- 1:55:33Fuck. But no, I'm.
- 1:55:35Going to show you guys because I feel like it would be pretty
- 1:55:37cool and I think it fits the bill let.
- 1:55:39Me see another one here does the.
- 1:55:42What? Does the?
- 1:55:44I don't know what that means. That's probably from Chris.
- 1:55:48The next? No, no way.
- 1:55:50Is. Is this the No, no, no, it's
- 1:55:52not. It's.
- 1:55:52Not that one. I think I found those.
- 1:55:54This one, I don't know what he's trying to say, but basically
- 1:55:56he's trying to say. Does the mark 4 being so.
- 1:56:00Expensive affect. It's does Does it make it a
- 1:56:04headache to be a drift car? Yes.
- 1:56:06Yes. Oh yeah, What?
- 1:56:08Just get us or I think. That's what he's saying.
- 1:56:10I'm not sure it's the same thing.
- 1:56:13But yeah. It's that car is yeah, yeah, you
- 1:56:15can't drift like why? Why would you want?
- 1:56:17To you crash but your drift. Car.
- 1:56:19Yeah, shout out to Rad. Dan for.
- 1:56:20You know, yeah, Rad Dan. Mike Perez still has Mike Perez,
- 1:56:24but that thing's kind. Of shredded by now, right It's.
- 1:56:28Like it's it's. AI.
- 1:56:29Would I would love. To I would love to know how much
- 1:56:33Dan spends on rebuilding his super every every season because
- 1:56:36that guy's not cheap. I can tell.
- 1:56:38I don't think so dude. I don't.
- 1:56:39Know, but once, once it's past a certain point, it's like all
- 1:56:42custom at that. Point.
- 1:56:43Yeah, yeah, you're just doing. You kind of have.
- 1:56:45To drive this car, now you're. Just you have no.
- 1:56:48Choice. This is it.
- 1:56:51How exciting are you guys? How excited are you guys for the
- 1:56:54future? Do you see this changing the car
- 1:56:56scene? I don't know, maybe I guess he
- 1:56:58means your your events. I don't know about changing the
- 1:57:03car scene. That was never our goal.
- 1:57:05Yeah, like we're not out to change the scene or anything.
- 1:57:10That was never our agenda. Like it still isn't our agenda.
- 1:57:13I would like to see. This happen around the country
- 1:57:17where people you know from everywhere meet up with their
- 1:57:20local friends and car friends and just spread it.
- 1:57:24Like it doesn't have to be just here.
- 1:57:26Like you can just go and make your own.
- 1:57:28If you're in Florida, hit up your friends.
- 1:57:31You know, like, spread it throughout the whole country.
- 1:57:34That would be sick. Yeah, I feel like it was more
- 1:57:35common. Do you think that's why you
- 1:57:37started it kind of because it kind of died off?
- 1:57:39Yeah. You know that's.
- 1:57:41What? That's where we're going, where
- 1:57:43I was going before with that whole life yeah no cool cars in
- 1:57:46like the early 2000s and kind of killed off the scene a bit cuz
- 1:57:49it's like what do you bring out now?
- 1:57:51See, that's when we got into. Drifting so I don't.
- 1:57:54I never knew the scene to be. Fell off, yeah.
- 1:57:57Cuz I was out of it, so I was just involved.
- 1:57:59That's what I was going to make. Sure that I harped on too.
- 1:58:02There was there was a period of time where like it crossed over
- 1:58:06for me like like I met some of my best friends at a car meet.
- 1:58:10But then like we found out what drifting was, which is this
- 1:58:14thing, and we just never went back but.
- 1:58:15I'm making you think that they kind of stopped at the same
- 1:58:17time. No, it was like.
- 1:58:20When? We stopped going to the.
- 1:58:22Car meets and stuff like that, that it was one or the other,
- 1:58:25you know what I mean? A Friday night drift party.
- 1:58:27I'm going to Friday night drift party.
- 1:58:29And then I'm after, after that I'm going to go home.
- 1:58:31And then after I go home, I'm going to fix my car now.
- 1:58:33Yeah, yeah. When I was supposed to be going,
- 1:58:34hanging out at the meats and stuff and having fun.
- 1:58:36I'm working on my car because of the drifting thing, so that it
- 1:58:40like veered the two away. I haven't been to a car meet
- 1:58:45unless it was the one that we had or whatever.
- 1:58:48We always. Talk about doing car.
- 1:58:49Meets and going to car meets because it's a cool idea, but
- 1:58:51then we never fucking follow through.
- 1:58:52But some of them we have. I feel like we all just.
- 1:58:55Think since our cars are they're.
- 1:58:58They're pretty smoked. Like at least of what we think,
- 1:59:01but that's like that makes it. Better, I know, but so many of
- 1:59:03us. Think in such a way where we're
- 1:59:04like, why would we want to bring it and bring this?
- 1:59:07Because it's the stories, right? It's like having battle scars on
- 1:59:10you and then being like, yo, where'd you get that from?
- 1:59:12Like what was that from? Like what's that?
- 1:59:13Tattoos if you have tattoos. I think it's fine for a car
- 1:59:16meme. Car show, that's what that's
- 1:59:18when we're like, that's when we're like that I get that, I
- 1:59:21get. But then.
- 1:59:21But then it turns out I remember.
- 1:59:22We, we were gonna like, I don't know what event that was.
- 1:59:25What was that one that used to do with the airport in Jersey?
- 1:59:27First class fitment. First class fitment I think
- 1:59:30maybe? Yeah, not Panda Fest, we've
- 1:59:31done, we've done one of those, but when it was first class fit
- 1:59:34the one when it was really hard to.
- 1:59:35Get into Yeah, we it was right after.
- 1:59:37Final bout and they're like and we're like let's enter our cars
- 1:59:41into this but we're going to enter them now when they're nice
- 1:59:44and then we're going to go final bout in a week and we're going
- 1:59:47to bring them and. They're going to be fucked.
- 1:59:48Up and it's going to be funny and we're like, yeah, it's going
- 1:59:50to be funny and then like they saw the cars and they're like
- 1:59:53yo, it's way sicker that they're all broken and we're like fuck.
- 1:59:57What the fuck? So it turned out like it was.
- 1:59:59Actually cooler, I guess, but we we thought it was going to be
- 2:00:01funny because it was like you, you know, you had to like the
- 2:00:05cars. Had to be perfect.
- 2:00:06When they went to that event, it was weird, it all adds.
- 2:00:09Authenticity, yeah. And, and that's what that's
- 2:00:12cool. Like it's cool to be real,
- 2:00:14right? It's not cool to be fake.
- 2:00:15So it's like. And it was also kind of a weird.
- 2:00:18Time where it was like it seemed like drifting was getting more
- 2:00:20popular and other scenes. So it kind of worked out
- 2:00:23perfectly. But yeah, usually they're like
- 2:00:26beat up. It's the beauty of it I
- 2:00:28remember. One meet we had in Queens, he
- 2:00:33had just bought the car off marketplace right before the
- 2:00:36meet. He drove into the meet.
- 2:00:39His fan went no, his whole. Intercooler.
- 2:00:42Exploded at the meet. Off of the car.
- 2:00:46Yeah. It was.
- 2:00:48It was a BMW. I forget what the BMW was.
- 2:00:51Oh, I did the radiator. That went yeah, and he drove.
- 2:00:55No. And then we we had to push.
- 2:00:56It yeah, we had to push it into the spot and then we had to.
- 2:00:58Wait. Oh my God, we tried to fix it.
- 2:01:01There was, you know, there, you know, it needs a mechanic 'cause
- 2:01:04people actually do work. At the maintenance stuff too,
- 2:01:07it's like people are working on their cars at the guy Jack and
- 2:01:10everything about the. Knicks swap.
- 2:01:11It out the. The game.
- 2:01:13We watched the game at China. Oh, and then I mean.
- 2:01:16Like I, I really the basketball. So like when we were in the, the
- 2:01:19Knicks were in the playoffs last year, one of the meets happened
- 2:01:22during one of the playoffs games.
- 2:01:24So I had to, I had to bring a TV.
- 2:01:26Well. I projected it onto.
- 2:01:27The side. Yeah, yeah. 30-40 Yeah, I.
- 2:01:32Mean I I had. That point, at that point it.
- 2:01:34Became not about the cars. Like there was 40 people
- 2:01:37watching. We were just like.
- 2:01:38Showing. Watching like, yeah, we were
- 2:01:40like watching the game. We.
- 2:01:42Forgot about. The.
- 2:01:43Car on the background. But we forgot about the cars,
- 2:01:45yeah. Right there, that's the kind of.
- 2:01:46Shit that people tweet and put on Instagram and go I love my
- 2:01:49city, I was. Like, yeah, I was like, I'm not.
- 2:01:52Listening to the game for the, I mean, like, I love doing the
- 2:01:55meat, but I also love my neck. Yeah, we've had, we've had.
- 2:01:58Poker. Games.
- 2:01:58We have card games. Yeah, someone, someone brought.
- 2:02:01A full on like full legit poker table.
- 2:02:03To one of our events. Set it up in.
- 2:02:05The. Corner and had like.
- 2:02:06A full on game. Has anyone brought a pool table?
- 2:02:09Yet. Not yet.
- 2:02:09Not yet. Nothing.
- 2:02:10There's a how. There's a how?
- 2:02:13We have a homie. That comes from Connecticut.
- 2:02:15Every other meat that we hold and he has APS two in the back
- 2:02:18and people are just playing for the back.
- 2:02:20Yeah, our buddy used to have APS 2.
- 2:02:21In the back of his car and then he used to be like the.
- 2:02:24Thing though, right, he used to put like game systems in your
- 2:02:26that was and then. Previously back like that.
- 2:02:29Was the that was our buddy. James James Carper.
- 2:02:32That was our buddy's MO. It was like, why are you doing
- 2:02:35all of this for no reason? What?
- 2:02:37What about like the people? But like, you had a Coop, but
- 2:02:40you had TV's in your headrest. Yeah, see.
- 2:02:44Fine, it was like it. Was for the people behind.
- 2:02:47It so when you open your. Hatch.
- 2:02:48Like you. Can see it.
- 2:02:50Yeah, yeah. He had ATV.
- 2:02:52And. Like a roulette. 2000 car show
- 2:02:54era. Yeah, that the same.
- 2:02:55Guy had. A roulette table in the trunk as
- 2:02:58well. It's a drift car.
- 2:03:00That's dope. He never took.
- 2:03:02Any of it out? He would go drifting.
- 2:03:03All that shit's in the back. Yeah, that's how, that's how you
- 2:03:06start the. Game If you gotta drift, you
- 2:03:08gotta. Yeah, you gotta.
- 2:03:08Drift to start the. Game if you were to ask us like
- 2:03:11what? What haven't we seen at our
- 2:03:14meats like we've seen? We've seen all we saw from
- 2:03:16American muscle to low riders to you know, chopped up S chassis.
- 2:03:22We've seen it all. The only thing I have yet to see
- 2:03:25at our car meets are hot rods. I would love if anybody out
- 2:03:29there has there been one like a rat rod like AI haven't I
- 2:03:32personally haven't seen one like a 40s.
- 2:03:37The maritime, when we did daytime the first time, it was,
- 2:03:40it was like half of it was all like, but that was was that.
- 2:03:44With us or yeah, and it was it was because the.
- 2:03:47Legacy there were all like like older 50s like guys 50s all they
- 2:03:52have are like rat rods and stuff like that hot rods or whatever
- 2:03:55and they brought all those out and it was that mixed with like
- 2:03:59all the JDM cards at the time at this place in the Bronx called
- 2:04:03maritime at this school maritime maritime that we like work with
- 2:04:07to use their space and throw events there and if there's.
- 2:04:11Anyone that has a show car from the 2000s that still works
- 2:04:16please So like a time? Capsule like a time like.
- 2:04:19There's gotta be one out there. Oh, there definitely are the
- 2:04:21Facebook. Marketplace Man I.
- 2:04:22See them all the time. Oh yeah, they are on the.
- 2:04:24Marketplace like the ones like a really.
- 2:04:25Yeah, like. Scissor doors on like a Honda.
- 2:04:28Civic Yeah. Dash.
- 2:04:30Yeah, 10s like Dash. Dash matches.
- 2:04:33The paint. Job and stuff.
- 2:04:34No shot in hell that. Sound system even sounds good
- 2:04:38inside the door. Card has. 5 speakers here, like
- 2:04:43what we do. It's like TV's in the.
- 2:04:46Headlights it was. I like the.
- 2:04:48I like that era just because it it was a paint match era.
- 2:04:51Like everything was paint. Everything.
- 2:04:53Those. Door cards because I'm in the
- 2:04:55process I made like a little, I was going to try to make like
- 2:04:58inserts and make all my door card fiberglass.
- 2:05:01It's actually harder than it looks on the Internet so but
- 2:05:05that I wanted to paint match because that is though that 2000
- 2:05:10sex spec era that is the era drifting is really ricey like.
- 2:05:13We like stuff like, yeah, is that kind of coming back into
- 2:05:16like, I mean, I, I. Never left me.
- 2:05:18I mean, like, I love that shit. Like.
- 2:05:20I do. I mean you guys.
- 2:05:21Brought back Chromes like I got. Yeah, yeah.
- 2:05:23Yeah. Yeah, I wanna definitely say
- 2:05:25drifting brought back from, brought back a lot of stuff
- 2:05:28drifting. Brought back clear tail lights.
- 2:05:29And neon lights, probably. And under glue, Absolutely.
- 2:05:32You guys neon lights. It's just.
- 2:05:34Like the two? 1200 there was just everyone had
- 2:05:37character, no one like cared as much.
- 2:05:39That's true because it wasn't. Instagram, yeah, but no one
- 2:05:41cared on it. They're like.
- 2:05:42You know what? I think this is cool.
- 2:05:43So I'm a do it, Yeah, but it was also easier to.
- 2:05:45Hide what you were doing, you know, I guess, Yeah.
- 2:05:48And then come out to the me. Yeah, you, you, you, you, you be
- 2:05:50doing stuff that's. That's.
- 2:05:54He'd be doing shit without tons and he'll just.
- 2:05:57Come out like yo. Guys like, all right, what's
- 2:06:03your Taco? Bell Order.

- 2:06:08probably Gordita Crunch. Oh yeah.
- 2:06:10Oh gosh. That's God.
- 2:06:11Gordita Crunch. Nacho fries.
- 2:06:13Every time Nacho fries come back, I'm like, yo, I gotta go
- 2:06:15to Taco Bell. It's like.
- 2:06:17I don't care. Health.
- 2:06:17Whatever, Taco Bell. It's like crunch wraps of cream.
- 2:06:20Oh, oh, dude. I had one.
- 2:06:23The other we had Ron. Yeah.
- 2:06:24We had a podcast. Great value.
- 2:06:27Yeah. I mean, it's great value.
- 2:06:28I'll give. You that that's just big, but
- 2:06:30we're all the same. Age here I brought up last week
- 2:06:33the original Crunchwrap commercial because I went to the
- 2:06:37drive through as a child and it was like I'll get that to go and
- 2:06:42he like. And we brought up the.
- 2:06:46Commercial last. Week and it brought me.
- 2:06:50Like, I was like, whoa. It was that he said he went to
- 2:06:53the. Drive through like that and said
- 2:06:55I was with my dad to go. Go.
- 2:06:58Thing please. Like I'll get it to go.
- 2:06:59Did you do that? Yeah.
- 2:07:01I was at the. I was in the.
- 2:07:02Car seat my dad was at the drive through window and I'm like
- 2:07:05telling the person like can I get the thing like to go like
- 2:07:08whatever like that he was like a crime trap got.
- 2:07:12That on 440 in Jersey City is like.
- 2:07:14That's where I got that. What's your Taco Bell order?
- 2:07:18It's like. Regular tacos?
- 2:07:19Yeah, like crunchy tacos. I could eat like 7.
- 2:07:21Of them, yeah, me too. Yeah, I get like.
- 2:07:23Supreme or? No.
- 2:07:24Supreme regular? Yeah.
- 2:07:26Frankly. It's not a supreme.
- 2:07:28You. Need that extra good of.
- 2:07:29Cold as it's just. Dude, I could get it.
- 2:07:32What do they call the? Party, Party Packard or that's
- 2:07:35like 12. I eat the whole thing.
- 2:07:36We smoke a joint I. Eat.
- 2:07:40The whole thing for do you guys? White Castle out.
- 2:07:42Here right? There's like ohh so.
- 2:07:44Don't even get me started. On this God I used love Joe
- 2:07:47sliders no I. Used to love for.
- 2:07:49Whatever stupid fuck. I mean, we used to get like
- 2:07:51crave cases, yeah, like of like the 40 or 5030 and.
- 2:07:55And it it. Would be like four of us
- 2:07:57thinking like, yeah, we could we could crush this like 3 burgers
- 2:08:00and you're like, this is disgusting.
- 2:08:01Why is it just like why? Why did I buy this like.
- 2:08:03Stan, you got to lock in. I'll get the jalapeno.
- 2:08:08Cheddar one, because look at me, I still like White Castle.
- 2:08:11I just can't go more than four burgers in, you know, I had. 15
- 2:08:15a couple. Weeks ago, just kidding, not a
- 2:08:18couple. It was a couple months ago.
- 2:08:19You know, my brother and my brother and I do this from time
- 2:08:22to time. That's like me and my brother's
- 2:08:23like comfort. It's like, but it's this is
- 2:08:27really bad crave case that's 30. It's just two of us.
- 2:08:33See that's. At the edge of the night, it's
- 2:08:35empty. Every time.
- 2:08:36But how do you feel afterwards? Do you?
- 2:08:38Do you? Horrible.
- 2:08:39But it's not a. Race.
- 2:08:41It's not a race. No, it's not a race that.
- 2:08:43Crave case. It's over the course, it's in
- 2:08:45Durant's it's. In Durant's case, it's.
- 2:08:47It's when I know my. Brother's coming over, we might
- 2:08:49be watching a movie, smoking a little bit of weed.
- 2:08:52How many movies you got? Prepped up for tonight, we got a
- 2:08:54crave case. Full crave case.
- 2:08:56Done, Ashley. That was our spot after.
- 2:09:00Our meet 'cause there was one right next to what the next
- 2:09:02watch is, Yeah. And everything.
- 2:09:04They're always open line, like always.
- 2:09:05Openly. They hate us though 'cause we
- 2:09:07were coming. After the meet and it would be
- 2:09:09dead. Like it would be like. 2:00 AM
- 2:09:11One AM Dead. Like, like they're like sleeping
- 2:09:14in the back. Fifty of us coming.
- 2:09:16Like coming orders at like 2:00 AM, just like, yeah, it's not
- 2:09:20like going to a mom and. Pop restaurant or something.
- 2:09:22We were like, they, they're like, we don't want to fucking
- 2:09:24be here, bro. It's like.
- 2:09:26The, the, the, the, the parking space was like the size of a
- 2:09:28bank space. It was not that big.
- 2:09:31And it was like, we would pack 40 cards in there.
- 2:09:33Like fuck does everybody go eat, you know, and come back outside.
- 2:09:36It was a thing. It's a thing our.
- 2:09:39Takeovers. The death of car meets.
- 2:09:46Maybe. Takeovers are not car.
- 2:09:48Meets, yeah, I mean like. It's true.
- 2:09:52Car meets are. Not takeovers, I feel.
- 2:09:53Like there's a progression. It's it's like who are the?
- 2:09:58People that go to. These takeovers, why are they
- 2:10:00there? Is it because they haven't
- 2:10:02experienced something else better yet?
- 2:10:04Are they there because they're just getting into the car?
- 2:10:07They were never, I never thought.
- 2:10:08About it like that. And Instagram people just want.
- 2:10:13Attention. Yep.
- 2:10:14Yeah, I I get the attention. I get the attention thing right,
- 2:10:17but it's like you could do that at any meet.
- 2:10:20It doesn't. It's just no, but they want to
- 2:10:22I. Know well.
- 2:10:23They want to be. Swinging.
- 2:10:24No. Or whatever they call it.
- 2:10:26We're we're. Yeah, we did take over start
- 2:10:28where where it did start in. California, technically, yeah.
- 2:10:32We had a podcast. With an organization called
- 2:10:35Black Dudes Drift, and we talked to Lexus King and Jamili.
- 2:10:39Yeah, and they real. Name Jamar.
- 2:10:41Jamar. Jamar, Yeah.
- 2:10:42And they're from, well, Jamar the Bay was from.
- 2:10:45Yeah, Jamar is not from the Bay. Yeah, around there.
- 2:10:48But Lexus was oh, OK. But.
- 2:10:51Yeah, recently from Oakland. It's like the area, I'm not
- 2:10:54going to remember all of that. But the, the point of the IT
- 2:10:56wasn't that area. It wasn't a takeover.
- 2:10:58The whole thing was, I remember the, the scene that Lex Point
- 2:11:01painted for us. It was like, let's say you're at
- 2:11:04an intersection, there's a gas station right there.
- 2:11:07You're there with your homies. Everybody got a car.
- 2:11:09Every thank you. Everybody has I.
- 2:11:13Remember it too. Everybody might had the same
- 2:11:15pair of shoes on. Do you remember him?
- 2:11:18Explaining. This to us, everybody might have
- 2:11:20nothing like a takeover to me, but.
- 2:11:22I guess this is, but this is where it stemmed from.
- 2:11:24Everybody might have the same pair of shoes on.
- 2:11:26Everybody might have that one, that one thing that that
- 2:11:29matches, that brings the whole group together.
- 2:11:31Then another group goes on the other, like your corner, your
- 2:11:33crew. The other crew is on the other.
- 2:11:35Corner, there's there's some ladies over there.
- 2:11:37You want to show out. That's what the word is.
- 2:11:38Yeah. They kept saying you want to
- 2:11:39show out. So you you swing the car around
- 2:11:42a little bit. That's it.
- 2:11:43That wasn't what the the the whole violence aspect of Yeah,
- 2:11:47it wasn't like you hit me with it wasn't.
- 2:11:49That wasn't the. Point.
- 2:11:50The point was you wanted to just show out and show them what you
- 2:11:52have. So it was like break.
- 2:11:53It was like break. Dancing with your cars?
- 2:11:55Yes, kind of. That's exactly what I said
- 2:11:56you're. Like I get that it came from
- 2:11:57that. Era though all the.
- 2:11:58Other hobbies of that era. It was just about to show what
- 2:12:03you can do, you know what I mean?
- 2:12:05And then the takeover shit, you know the Donuts in their
- 2:12:09intersection? Yeah, I don't know how it
- 2:12:10evolved. Instagram Yeah, I.
- 2:12:12That's what I would say. Instagram somebody wanted to
- 2:12:14get. A crazier clip than the last
- 2:12:16guy, Yeah, or girl and. Then you just want.
- 2:12:18To hit someone with your Camaro or whatever or JZXI saw.
- 2:12:21JZX charger Charger's usually the.
- 2:12:23No, there's a JZ. X at a takeover the other day.
- 2:12:25That's a shame. I've seen skylines.
- 2:12:27Yeah, I commented on it. It just said part out part out
- 2:12:30part out part. I need that.
- 2:12:32I need the engine. I need the engine.
- 2:12:33I like the motor. I would always see like.
- 2:12:36A Charger or AG37, those are like cars and they'd just be
- 2:12:41knocking people out. I'm like, this is fun that these
- 2:12:43kids like just get terminal damage or everything like this
- 2:12:46now. LS4, Hundreds.
- 2:12:49GSDSISS. All day I think people are
- 2:12:52figuring it out, 'cause you. Get more people.
- 2:12:53Yeah, they're figuring. It out.
- 2:12:55They're figuring it out, dude. Imagine getting body by.
- 2:12:57Things like auto, they don't learn how to.
- 2:12:59Drive. They don't.
- 2:13:00They just do this. Yeah, yeah.
- 2:13:01And then fucking like pull up. Yeah.
- 2:13:06I don't know, I mean. I think takeovers are dying.
- 2:13:08Do you know how it? Seems like.
- 2:13:11Hopefully, hopefully. But do you know how?
- 2:13:12Stiff. The trunk is of the fucking LS4.
- 2:13:15Hundreds are built well. That would send.
- 2:13:18You these kids are dumb. Listen.
- 2:13:21I'm scared to close my GS300 trunk like it's anything wrapped
- 2:13:25because it would. It would literally take your
- 2:13:27hand off. Yeah, I forget.
- 2:13:29How heavy the? The actual hood and trunk of the
- 2:13:31LS is that thing is heavy. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 2:13:34Toyotas are. Then kids are getting hit by
- 2:13:35them. Or, or when they get run over.
- 2:13:38Yeah, yeah. Did someone die in New York?
- 2:13:40City that, yeah. Or when their pants get.
- 2:13:42Like pulled off from the wheel because that's funny.
- 2:13:44I know it's that's that's. That's like the best part of
- 2:13:48those videos. And when they get stripped,
- 2:13:50yeah, it's like. Man, they got.
- 2:13:52Knocked them right out their clothes like it's.
- 2:13:55Finally got ran over, then your clothes.
- 2:13:57Like, yeah. It's funny.
- 2:13:58After one they stand up because I genuinely have no idea how
- 2:14:03they survive. Like right after adrenaline.
- 2:14:05That's the. Only way.
- 2:14:06Yeah, I said all the time. It's.
- 2:14:07Gonna hurt tomorrow. It's gonna hurt, yeah.
- 2:14:09Yeah, yeah. What's that adrenaline?
- 2:14:11Tomorrow. Off you're gonna feel.
- 2:14:12That tire mark going there right across your face.
- 2:14:14Yeah, but it does suck. For you guys, obviously, because
- 2:14:17they fucking ruin everything because they call that a me or a
- 2:14:19takeover meat or something. And it's like, OK, it's the same
- 2:14:22for us though. It fucks drifting up too,
- 2:14:24obviously, because then all the all the cops and everyone think
- 2:14:26that that's what that is. Yeah, Yeah.
- 2:14:28So I never thought about it like that.
- 2:14:30It actually fucks their shit up and it fucks our shit up bad.
- 2:14:33Like literally both of them. But I mean, that's why.
- 2:14:35We're trying to to work with like the entities that look at
- 2:14:39these things and say, oh, this is what means It's like, no, no,
- 2:14:42no, there we actually there's a differentiation like between US
- 2:14:45and like, whoa, like. Yeah, those are.
- 2:14:47Kind of just. Criminals, really.
- 2:14:48It's like there's a difference. Yeah.
- 2:14:50Yeah, we're adults. We're adults.
- 2:14:53Yeah, well, some of us. All right, so there's a word
- 2:14:59getting thrown around in here, gatekeeping.
- 2:15:04Are gatekeeping functions a good or bad thing?
- 2:15:06There was another one that said current car meat culture, how to
- 2:15:10gatekeep to protect the space. Like basically, I think people
- 2:15:15are trying to say like, is it good to do this?
- 2:15:18Should we be doing this? Is this how we I guess?
- 2:15:22Protect the culture and. Stuff, I guess I would ask these
- 2:15:24people. What is their definition of
- 2:15:25gatekeeping? Yeah, yeah.
- 2:15:27Right, because to me. Gatekeeping would be I'm just
- 2:15:30trying to protect my house. I'm going to close my gate.
- 2:15:33So I'm, you know, I'm going to. Protect my space.
- 2:15:35Well, you're going to have the party inside.
- 2:15:37Behind the gate? Absolutely, yeah.
- 2:15:38So it's like. Do people see what we do?
- 2:15:43As gatekeeping? I don't know.
- 2:15:45I don't really see. Anything like that in here?
- 2:15:46But I could be how you take some of these, but I don't, I don't
- 2:15:50know. I don't think any of the ones in
- 2:15:51here are saying that. But the way you said it before,
- 2:15:55it could be taken as accessible. Yeah, I mean.
- 2:15:57I feel like all our events are very accessible to people.
- 2:16:01If you want to be in the community, yeah.
- 2:16:03If you just, you got to put some.
- 2:16:04Work in? Yeah, you just have to put some.
- 2:16:05Work in right, but that also makes sure you actually want to
- 2:16:09be there. It's like almost the the reward
- 2:16:11at the end for like your effort. Some people would call that.
- 2:16:13Gatekeeping. But I think that's a good thing.
- 2:16:15I mean, but I'm. Not saying don't come, I'm not
- 2:16:18saying you're not invited. I I think for the most part.
- 2:16:22I don't do this as much now. Just because we get more
- 2:16:25messages than before. But I used to try to answer back
- 2:16:27everyone that would message me and say, hey, how do I come to
- 2:16:30these things? Yeah.
- 2:16:31And we even have a post on there now that it's like, how do I
- 2:16:35come to our events? Like, is that gatekeeping?
- 2:16:37We tell you how to come to our events?
- 2:16:39No, not really. It's like I.
- 2:16:41Don't think you know, I mean like we literally.
- 2:16:43Have a post like, oh, you want to come to our like private or
- 2:16:45like whatever events that don't get advertised, go to these
- 2:16:48businesses that we do advertise and just be there just like talk
- 2:16:52to them and then you find out the information.
- 2:16:53It's funny enough I had. One person ask me or tell me
- 2:16:57like I went to our last event was mogate tea.
- 2:17:00Actually, I haven't told you this.
- 2:17:01He the enemy. He was like, yo, I went there
- 2:17:03and I asked him when there's a guy's next event with that koku
- 2:17:06and I was like, that's crazy because I don't even know when
- 2:17:10our next event like we were. That was like our.
- 2:17:16That meet. Was our beginning of the year
- 2:17:19meet that we normally do at the end of the year, but got pushed
- 2:17:22because of like all the snow and the weather and stuff.
- 2:17:25So it just ended up happening in January versus December and
- 2:17:30usually in January and February we take like a break or
- 2:17:35whatever. Yeah, thank God.
- 2:17:36God. Forbid you take a a fucking
- 2:17:38breathe. But.
- 2:17:41But. It's crazy because it was. 22°
- 2:17:44outside and we had about people like where are the meat?
- 2:17:4775 like. You had about. 75 cars out
- 2:17:50there, they're going and people were still.
- 2:17:51Coming out like, I believe it. I believe it.
- 2:17:53Yeah, yeah. And then I had.
- 2:17:55There was a homie from Connecticut drove all the way
- 2:17:58down from Connecticut and he was like, I can't believe I'm
- 2:18:00driving this car in the salt right now.
- 2:18:01I was gonna say I look at the S2000.
- 2:18:03Outside, I'm like crying over here.
- 2:18:05These guys are all going to a meet.
- 2:18:06I'm like, yeah, that's. I did.
- 2:18:08I. Did I chose for the first time?
- 2:18:11Dude, my car hasn't touched the salt this year.
- 2:18:14Oh it didn't. It didn't know.
- 2:18:16Fuck no. That's the.
- 2:18:17Point you're trying. To buy?
- 2:18:18Hell no, because you have no idea.
- 2:18:20I've missed that shit so fucking much.
- 2:18:23Dude. That's my.
- 2:18:24Daily drive, I drive that every single day.
- 2:18:25Yeah, I drive it to work and back every single day, I think.
- 2:18:28New York City. Life is a little different
- 2:18:30because it's like you don't got a lot of space for cars.
- 2:18:32You have no choice. Yeah.
- 2:18:33Yeah, I I mean. I don't really have a lot.
- 2:18:35Of a choice, but like I have the truck, thankfully.
- 2:18:38Yeah, thankfully I have the the the mighty Sequoia.
- 2:18:44It's a good car it. Is a great car.
- 2:18:47Here we go the other day. 13. That's the tacos.
- 2:18:50That's 100. It's amazing.
- 2:18:51Best. Best fucking UZ in there too but
- 2:18:54like 2 you eat 1UZ2. Two but the.
- 2:18:57The whole thing is like, I don't know, the salt.
- 2:19:01You're just making it shittier for your future self.
- 2:19:04Yeah, absolutely, dude. Because like the.
- 2:19:06Bolts the the little ones. I'm not talking about like the
- 2:19:10coil over or the lug or any of that shit.
- 2:19:12I'm talking about like a random 10mm, the old guy underneath the
- 2:19:17car that you're just like, oh, this is going to take me 10
- 2:19:19minutes real. Yep, that's that's.
- 2:19:23The difference of you driving your car in the winter or like
- 2:19:26none, yeah, is 100%. And that is the worst fucking
- 2:19:31day you're going to have. You are going to hate me.
- 2:19:35I I drive that car, I've driven it.
- 2:19:37Look, no. You're gonna, you're gonna.
- 2:19:39Hate you. New York, NY.
- 2:19:41New York is not easy with salt. Like they would throw a whole
- 2:19:44bag bro in one corner. It's on a clock like.
- 2:19:48This. It's like a speedball.
- 2:19:52What? Absolutely.
- 2:19:54What like. But.
- 2:19:55I understand, 'cause dude, I drove the IS.
- 2:19:57I mean, they have as well. Like we'd go to chicken and rice
- 2:19:59and we'd see the big. Ass building with just salt in
- 2:20:01it. We don't have any more.
- 2:20:03Of that I guess. It's gone, but I drove the IS
- 2:20:06every day, like everywhere for a long time.
- 2:20:09Coming here before when we first started the pod.
- 2:20:12I like that it's. Just now I.
- 2:20:15Unfortunately need the car to last me a little longer so I
- 2:20:18can't. I got to stop doing that.
- 2:20:19Get ready when we start using Liquid.
- 2:20:21Salt. Oh no, the brine.
- 2:20:23Is that worse or it's worse? It's bad.
- 2:20:25It's. Bad, because now it comes.
- 2:20:26Wait, we see some of that around here.
- 2:20:27Though I think splashes a little.
- 2:20:29Bit but I think we still, I think it's still like you still
- 2:20:32use the rocks all but I think it's going to become like it's
- 2:20:34just liquid salt everywhere, yeah.
- 2:20:36That's hell. Yeah, I do not.
- 2:20:38I'm not a fan. Whatever.
- 2:20:40Keep trying to find some garages.
- 2:20:41So you can park these cars for the winter turbo.
- 2:20:45What is your real name? Is that loud?
- 2:20:50I've been calling you Turbo this whole day.
- 2:20:51So that's the question my real. Name is.
- 2:20:54Alvaro E Turbo is that for? Real.
- 2:20:56You're fucking yeah. That's my, that's.
- 2:20:58Yeah, my, my real. No, fucked up, that's what.
- 2:21:01Yeah, that's why we that's why we call him.
- 2:21:03Turbo. Answering your question.
- 2:21:06Wait, are you dead? Ass.
- 2:21:08That's that's his real name. That's my real name.
- 2:21:12Yeah. Oh, you were born for this.
- 2:21:13Shit, did you know that you were born for this shit, you know?
- 2:21:17Oh my God, dude, so. I I'll.
- 2:21:20Give you a little back story. I my 9:00 to 5:00.
- 2:21:22I am a high school Dean. I work at a high school in New
- 2:21:24York City. That's why you sound so.
- 2:21:27Fucking calm and responsible. What the fuck dude?
- 2:21:35So. So you deal with.
- 2:21:36Like children. But you know, that's why you're
- 2:21:38so good at dealing with the card.
- 2:21:39Yeah, absolutely. Yeah, lots of children they.
- 2:21:44You know, kids, especially high school kids at, you know, the
- 2:21:46age of 16 through 19. Oh, nightmare.
- 2:21:48Never want to pronounce your Oh my God, hell no.
- 2:21:51You used to call your teacher. Mr. A, Mr. B, Mr. C Right.
- 2:21:54So no one could really pronounce my last name.
- 2:21:56So they just dropped the eye completely and it's like turbo,
- 2:21:59turbo, turbo, turbo, nervous. And it just stuck.
- 2:22:02Yeah. And you just happen to.
- 2:22:03Be the Dean that's in the fucking car.
- 2:22:04Yeah. That's.
- 2:22:05That's like, actually, yeah. And everyone knows like.
- 2:22:08From my principal down to like all the kids, they know the car.
- 2:22:11It's parked out front every day I drive it abroad.
- 2:22:13That is sick. You know, and it's like.
- 2:22:18That is awesome. Every day.
- 2:22:19Never. See, so amaze me, they see me
- 2:22:21walk to the car and be like, oh, that's the car.
- 2:22:23That's the terrible. That's great.
- 2:22:27I love that. Oh my gosh, that.
- 2:22:29Is actually wow. Stan, when can we?
- 2:22:32Expect a full pirate the dog livery on the MR2O.
- 2:22:36That's funny. That's that's, that's you.
- 2:22:40That's funny. That's funny.
- 2:22:43Who? The Hell's Pirate Pirates.
- 2:22:45He's like the mascot. Oh yeah, he's my dog.
- 2:22:48He's a sheep, a doodle. He's like, OK.
- 2:22:51Classic. He's big.
- 2:22:52He's a big. Dog.
- 2:22:54And like before, before me and my partner, I used to just come
- 2:22:59out with Pirate all the time and, and, and AW.
- 2:23:02So it's two seater cars. So he would have one seat and
- 2:23:04I'd have the other a little. AW11 with a big dog just in the
- 2:23:10passenger seat fills up the full seat everything so.
- 2:23:13So now what do you? Do.
- 2:23:18Great questions. Dan.
- 2:23:19That would be. 4. Daughter both staying at.
- 2:23:22Home. 4 door. This is the real reason he got
- 2:23:26the. Fit well, so I have a Honda Fit.
- 2:23:29Has the magic seats. I have a yeah.
- 2:23:33That's what it's called, so. I have the Honda Fit.
- 2:23:35And that's what I'll use at times to bring both.
- 2:23:39I mean like as as he gets older now like.
- 2:23:42He doesn't handle the noise. As well, like when cars are
- 2:23:45coming in they're a bit loud and stuff like that.
- 2:23:48So like I try to bring him out or at least my partner will
- 2:23:53she'll like so I'll still take the my MR2 out and then she'll
- 2:23:57come in the fit later with like the dog now usually towards the
- 2:24:01end when. There's yeah when like the
- 2:24:02sound. Has like kind of like quiet
- 2:24:04down, so he's not like kind of agitated by all the noise and
- 2:24:08stuff. The sweetest dog you ever meet?
- 2:24:10Everyone knows pirate. That's amazing.
- 2:24:13Not your delivery, the fact. I think it's funny that you said
- 2:24:16imagine because a buddy of mine of my old roommate, his dad was
- 2:24:21a master tech at Toyota. He has at AW11.
- 2:24:23They used to have a milk. Do you know what dog that was
- 2:24:28the big one. I don't even know who you're.
- 2:24:31Talking Cooper the Big. He like fought you.
- 2:24:36Guys dog but he was a big dog like a pony socks big so.
- 2:24:41Same. Pirate.
- 2:24:42Pirate is big, he big. He sat in there.
- 2:24:44At AW11 as well and and he just takes up the.
- 2:24:46Whole thing so like we've done it where it's me, it's Veronica,
- 2:24:50my partner and pirate Aldagan AW and.
- 2:24:54She will. Try to like hold him in.
- 2:24:57His lap and it's just like, no, it's ridiculous.
- 2:25:00Like. There there are pictures
- 2:25:02somewhere where it's like she's sitting there with him, but all
- 2:25:05you see is his head. Like you see nothing else but
- 2:25:07like him and the like me driving.
- 2:25:10That's I mean. You got a kid and that's
- 2:25:12basically, but he's bigger. Yeah.
- 2:25:15Basically last. Question would.
- 2:25:17Be Do you think it would be possible to organize a legal
- 2:25:20drift event in New York City one day?
- 2:25:23I've been. Working on that for years.
- 2:25:26Yeah, I'm sure you have. Yeah, I've been working on that.
- 2:25:29For a couple years now and it's I'm still working on that.
- 2:25:32You got to find a big ass parking.
- 2:25:33Lot and pay a lot of money so. The way that I've been.
- 2:25:38Thinking about it and and trying to put into motion is it needs
- 2:25:43to be done like like auto cross, Yeah.
- 2:25:47OK. It needs to be done like auto.
- 2:25:50Cross so SCCA they've held events inside New York City
- 2:25:55where at Shea Stadium or. Whatever, Shea Stadium.
- 2:25:59Wait. Well.
- 2:26:00Met or whatever, Like yeah, city, field city.
- 2:26:01Field at all. So City Field.
- 2:26:04Definitely something's been done there.
- 2:26:08Technically, not New York City. Jones Beach, like by Jones
- 2:26:12Beach. Things have been done there.
- 2:26:14The Coliseum over in Nassau, Nassau Coliseum, they've held
- 2:26:18there. Oh yeah, a Porsche.
- 2:26:19Club of America does that over there so.
- 2:26:23There are like places. In New York.
- 2:26:26City where I think it's possible.
- 2:26:29I'm not going to name them now, but like good call that was he
- 2:26:34made me. Pretty smart is that?
- 2:26:36Gatekeeping. No, not only only because it's.
- 2:26:41In the progress and if we can get the permits for it and get
- 2:26:43everything, it's an insurance, it's the insurance.
- 2:26:46Flushing. Meadow Park we used to drift.
- 2:26:47Over there. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I.
- 2:26:49Don't know good thing or. Not you probably remember.
- 2:26:51Yeah, Frank, actually. Frank was talking about that
- 2:26:53other day. Yeah, Yeah.
- 2:26:55So. There there for sure.
- 2:26:58Are places like City Field where there's stadium type parking?
- 2:27:03Yeah, that's what we see where we would be able to do that
- 2:27:05because we don't need that much space, especially for like a
- 2:27:09grassroots event too, right. So it's maybe like I wouldn't
- 2:27:12even want to do a. Grassroots event I want to do
- 2:27:14like a drift demo slash car meet like that shit I mean I I've.
- 2:27:18Got it. I've I've talked to.
- 2:27:21Insurance companies. About what that would cost for
- 2:27:23us to do and how we can possibly get it done.
- 2:27:27Still working on it like let us. Know you never get that I'll get
- 2:27:30that done let. Us still work, dude.
- 2:27:32Yeah, we'll worry about the drifting.
- 2:27:34Part, yeah, I mean, even even. I was even thinking like Staten
- 2:27:38Island. Yeah, I mean, that would be the
- 2:27:39place. Yeah, like French and then.
- 2:27:42Like. I'd love to like French Go go no
- 2:27:44matter where it is in. The city, but yeah, and and
- 2:27:46it's. Their territory.
- 2:27:47I'd love to work with them and make it where like it's, it's
- 2:27:50doable, like it's something in our backyard where there's
- 2:27:53definitely spaces in New York City that could be feasible.
- 2:27:57For this to. Be done but it's like can we get
- 2:28:00the permits can we get like the right people behind those can we
- 2:28:03get the the money but like the necessary funding too right
- 2:28:07because like. All the things we do.
- 2:28:09Is fund from our own pockets. Like we get no fucking support
- 2:28:13from like any financial thing. Like we don't sell merch.
- 2:28:17We don't. Which you guys probably should,
- 2:28:19yeah. We, we, we.
- 2:28:20We have. But it goes right back to that
- 2:28:21Coco. Yeah, I mean like.
- 2:28:23Basically like we don't even charge enough for the merch that
- 2:28:26we sell. Basically whatever it costs us
- 2:28:28to make the merch, it just almost covers that.
- 2:28:31Like we, like, lose money. On like our merch, like we we
- 2:28:34just but. It's.
- 2:28:35Definitely. I mean, I know you don't want to
- 2:28:37do anything for profit it's but you should do something to at
- 2:28:40least we're trying. Well, we're.
- 2:28:42So we're trying, we're we. So that's why we went non
- 2:28:46profit. It was so we could offer tax
- 2:28:49write offs to larger sponsors and businesses that would want
- 2:28:53to come in and try to help us out and stuff that makes sense
- 2:28:55we don't want to take. From like, we don't.
- 2:28:57Want to eat off like the small plate?
- 2:28:58That's like, not our goal. If anything, we want to try to,
- 2:29:01like, feed other people. Yeah.
- 2:29:03So the only place that at least I can see where like, hey, maybe
- 2:29:07they got some extra funding for us or stuff.
- 2:29:09It's like these larger businesses and brands and stuff
- 2:29:11that they have money to put out for marketing for charities and
- 2:29:17stuff like that. Why not?
- 2:29:18Why not got to convince them, yeah?
- 2:29:20Dude, that's an easy convince. I feel like you got any time you
- 2:29:23guys decide to do that, whatever we're trying right now, the
- 2:29:26hard. Part is going to be the.
- 2:29:28Brand like. I don't really know a lot.
- 2:29:32About brands that are local to us here.
- 2:29:35I would just fucking shoot it over to turn 14.
- 2:29:37Fuck it. To sponsor.
- 2:29:40It. Yeah, I mean.
- 2:29:41Yeah, I mean. It's like eventually we'd love
- 2:29:45to have like basically a community centre where people
- 2:29:49can come and do DIY work and like maybe we have workshops
- 2:29:53there for people to like learn from other people, like just
- 2:29:55like stuff to help support the community.
- 2:29:58That's not exactly like, oh, this is where we have meats.
- 2:30:00This is like the supplement to like the meats and stuff like
- 2:30:03that. And I think having a physical
- 2:30:05space is going to give us that ability to get the sponsorships
- 2:30:08or get like the necessary funding we need from brands to
- 2:30:11kind of push this to another level that we can't get with our
- 2:30:15own. Like we all work 9:00 to 5:00.
- 2:30:16So like we're, we're not, you know, we're barely, but you got
- 2:30:19some big plans for this. It sounds like absolutely, yeah.
- 2:30:22And I. Think 2026 is the biggest here.
- 2:30:24Frank, I have a question and I'm think I'm going to start a
- 2:30:26battle here. Oh, but no.
- 2:30:28RBOSR. RB or Sr.
- 2:30:31For me it's easy. It's Sr.
- 2:30:33Carl, we're not ARB. Place.
- 2:30:35It's all. S chat you have.
- 2:30:38Why would you ask them? There's nothing about S chat.
- 2:30:40There might be a little. Undertone there you should.
- 2:30:43Have I like the sound of RB? It sounds good.
- 2:30:46It's a good question for Carl. Because he doesn't like either
- 2:30:48one of them. Yeah, I had ARB.
- 2:30:50And I had ASR, but the RBI had was a piece of shit and the Sri
- 2:30:53had was really good. So it's like.
- 2:30:55Balancing out the RB. Just sounded.
- 2:30:57Awesome. That's why I wanted I.
- 2:31:00Like the inline. 6 turbo sound got the one J cuz it's to me the
- 2:31:06top. I got, I got.
- 2:31:08We'll pick. The RB over at one J though, I
- 2:31:11got what? I wanted OK.
- 2:31:12One J is best so. 2J or three GST God that's.
- 2:31:19That's the MR2 engine right? I don't know shit about that
- 2:31:21engine. 3S GTE. Is the.
- 2:31:24Beats. It's the.
- 2:31:26Engine they put. Into the supra to beat.
- 2:31:28The RB. Yeah, they put it in.
- 2:31:30The time attack one or the whatever the TT one. 3 Sgt.
- 2:31:38Out of the I don't know, they're all shit. 3 Sgt.
- 2:31:42Isn't good 3. Sgt. is not good.
- 2:31:45It's good for the MR2. That's it.
- 2:31:47It's a 4 cylinder, right? Yeah.
- 2:31:49But the beams. The beams like the three SGE.
- 2:31:53He loves the beans I. Love the bean I.
- 2:31:55I want the Alteza, I want the Rs.
- 2:31:57That thing is so good. I want.
- 2:31:59I love the. High pitch that once you hit
- 2:32:01that 8 to 9 K, it's amazing. It just I I like the.
- 2:32:05High com do you know what BEAM stands for?
- 2:32:07But it stands for best engine, advanced motor system.
- 2:32:12It's literally the dumbest acronym.
- 2:32:14I mean engine. Is crazy.
- 2:32:16I mean it's the same. It's.
- 2:32:17That's what Toyota does. It's like Lexus, like luxury US
- 2:32:21export, right? Don't wait.
- 2:32:22Luxury export. Luxury export in US.
- 2:32:24That's ridiculous. Get right.
- 2:32:27Frank. What are you on?
- 2:32:29Sr. Senior 20 I actually did find
- 2:32:31out some. Some history with the Nissan
- 2:32:33name today, thanks to Jay Leno. He might be wrong.
- 2:32:36Let me get that out first, I mean.
- 2:32:38That's a good one. Jay's like the.
- 2:32:40Encyclopedia part What is What is Jay?
- 2:32:43Said. OK, I think they said they
- 2:32:46didn't want to bring the Nissan name here.
- 2:32:48Apparently Nissan was actually Nissan when Dotson was Dotson
- 2:32:52here. That's the first thing.
- 2:32:53I didn't know that. Yeah, me.
- 2:32:54Either so. That might be wrong, but that's
- 2:32:56what he said. And they called it Dotson
- 2:32:59because they they thought it was easier to pronounce than Nissan.
- 2:33:02They thought Nissan might be like hard to pronounce or
- 2:33:04something. I'm like, I don't know.
- 2:33:06Well, is it is. It Nissan or is it Nissan?
- 2:33:08Yeah, that's. The other thing I don't I don't
- 2:33:10know is it radiator or radiator? I say radiator.
- 2:33:14But yeah, it is a radiator. Who the fuck says?
- 2:33:16Radiator. I've heard it.
- 2:33:18I've heard it. It's definitely like a like a
- 2:33:20Australia. I don't even start on that.
- 2:33:22I can't take. That radiate.
- 2:33:24Off. 350Z No, but yeah, I. Was like what I thought it was
- 2:33:34Dotson and it turned into Nissan but now I'm hearing that that
- 2:33:37wasn't the case It was like it was Dotson in the US and then
- 2:33:40they were like all right, y'all are mature enough we'll go on
- 2:33:43Nissan now. I didn't even know that I.
- 2:33:46Thought it might be a complete lie, yeah.
- 2:33:48I thought it was 'cause they were like.
- 2:33:49Yo, that's and then. Before that it was.
- 2:33:52The meme with the sun. And it's like that Sun he's.
- 2:33:56Like biting his lip. That sun.
- 2:33:59So stupid. Thank you.
- 2:34:01Guys for coming out here and. Wasting our, you know, letting
- 2:34:04us waste your time because I'm wasting our fuck.
- 2:34:06Thank you so much for having us. Yeah.
- 2:34:08This is we, we. Gotta we gotta pop out over
- 2:34:10what? Well, we got Frankie.

- 2:34:21OK, hopefully dude ride a lot more.
- 2:34:23Yeah, and I'm sure we'll. See you.
- 2:34:25We gotta. Get you behind the wheel
- 2:34:27somehow. I don't know.
- 2:34:29I didn't make. Her enjoy if she.
- 2:34:30Honestly. Honestly, you know what I think
- 2:34:32would make you a? Believer Shout out to Spoon if
- 2:34:34Spoon brings his 86 up with his K. 20.
- 2:34:37Four, I drove that shit and broke the axle.
- 2:34:39Both same time. You would be a believer.

- 2:35:05where it's AK. Oh right there.
- 2:35:07The the first left one more this he's got AK in it.

- 2:35:29series. That sounds pretty nuts, no?
- 2:35:32It's new up. Up maybe it's brand new.
- 2:35:34Oh wait, there's a picture of the K right there.
- 2:35:36K series, yeah, they've been doing the swap a lot in.
- 2:35:38Two 40s now and it's the video maybe?
- 2:35:40After the picture where the guy is leaning through the
- 2:35:42windshield. Oh K swap in 240.
- 2:35:44Yeah, yeah, they're building. Like this is AK.
- 2:35:46Swap. Oh yeah, they got everything
- 2:35:47now. This.
- 2:35:48Is G force. That right there is G force that
- 2:35:51that shit been crazy. There's a guy on his door.
- 2:35:56Yeah, I know what you're saying. I know what you're saying
- 2:35:59because your things. Very smooth.
- 2:36:00Like there's not a lot of force. Fuck no.
- 2:36:02What? I'm in the car my.
- 2:36:03Neck is hurting. Out of control?
- 2:36:05No, but we're gonna put it is. Smooth.
- 2:36:07It's only on. Transitions where you feel
- 2:36:09that's the best one of the. Favorite parts is like a
- 2:36:12transition or the the like. Yeah, it's only on the.
- 2:36:14Transitions where you it's a different kind of, it's a.
- 2:36:17Different kind of fun, yeah. It's a you would enjoy.
- 2:36:19That thing. So we go to our.
- 2:36:21Buddy's Place shift Club in in Brooklyn, which full motion rigs
- 2:36:26yeah, and. And it gives well.
- 2:36:28You're not going. To get any.
- 2:36:29Oh, you're going to hate you. I feel like that would turn her
- 2:36:32off of that, yeah, she'd be like, this shit is back because
- 2:36:36because I I like the motion rig. I think it's sick.
- 2:36:39My buddy has one with like the shocks and shit.
- 2:36:42It's way too much money, I know. But I.
- 2:36:45Mean like. It's, it's a good investment for
- 2:36:47seat time, right? It is, It really is.
- 2:36:48You wanna buy another car? Yeah, Frankie's well, I mean
- 2:36:51you. Don't need to go to.
- 2:36:52That extent of life, yeah, most you can just go basic, yeah, you
- 2:36:55can go Carl method. Where he's got like the Amazon
- 2:36:57shifter. That's all you need though,
- 2:36:58because you're. Just getting muscle memory
- 2:37:00doesn't matter. That's how it's muscle memory.
- 2:37:02Everything. It's just.
- 2:37:03Like, don't we don't have to, like, kill ourselves over this
- 2:37:06shit. It's pretty fun.
- 2:37:07Yeah. Like if we just keep it fun,
- 2:37:10then at least we could keep enjoying it.
- 2:37:12I think that's another debate. Like does SIM, I'm starting a
- 2:37:15debate, right? No, no, no.
- 2:37:15No. But something to think about
- 2:37:18people out there, no SIM drivers, do I?
- 2:37:19I started SIM driving and then I started drifting.
- 2:37:22Oh, it's definitely. Way easier.
- 2:37:24When you SIM does it you can tell.
- 2:37:26Do you think it translates? Absolutely, I learned.
- 2:37:29Absolutely, yeah, you can tell. No.
- 2:37:31No debate guys. No debate, Yeah.
- 2:37:34That's like the number one easiest way to get in it.
- 2:37:35Yeah, but let's close this out before Malcolm hurts himself.
- 2:37:39Thank you guys so much for coming.
- 2:37:40Absolutely. The shit with us for hours.
- 2:37:42Like, yeah, we'll be. Talking in the future, we'll
- 2:37:45figure some stuff. Yeah, let's, let's.
- 2:37:46Do it. Let's do it.
- 2:37:47Absolutely Thank you guys. Oh, before.
- 2:37:48Before. Before everyone check out that
- 2:37:50video, what was the name of that video that I watched when when I
- 2:37:52was emailing you? Except Sundays.
- 2:37:54Except. Sundays, look them up on YouTube
- 2:37:56and meet. In New York City, Yeah, Look up
- 2:37:58that video. That video.
- 2:37:59Is real good to give you guys an idea what these guys are into.
- 2:38:02Thanks guys. All right.
- 2:38:03Good night. Time for Taco?
- 2:38:05Bell watching. Literally it crashes.
- 2:38:09I'm not. Wise.
- 2:38:51Could you believe his real name was?
- 2:38:52Turbo I. Thought it was a fluke literally
- 2:38:56when we. Met him, Me and Malcolm were in
- 2:38:58the other room. We heard his name.
- 2:38:59We were like Turbo. What do you think?
- 2:39:02I guess I was like, this is like Fast and Furious.
- 2:39:04These guys got car names. Like, I was like, is this real?
- 2:39:06I was like, there's no way to turbo.
- 2:39:08Yeah, just call me Turbo. So you saw his?
- 2:39:10You actually. Looked at his ID, it's like I
- 2:39:13turbo. E Turbo.
- 2:39:16Yeah. Something like TUR?
- 2:39:18Yes, that's crazy. That's a cool last name.
- 2:39:20Yeah. It's definitely pretty unique
- 2:39:24and kind of convenient. You're into cars.
- 2:39:26Your name's Turbo. Yeah, Yeah.
- 2:39:27And you like Jay-Z? 'S so this way, yeah, blood
- 2:39:31really, really, really good conversation.
- 2:39:34Even Malcolm said at the end he said that was a that was a great
- 2:39:37podcast and as a listener. That was a good one.
- 2:39:40Yeah. So.
- 2:39:41I'm glad you guys got to listen to that.
- 2:39:43I hope you enjoyed it like we did it.
- 2:39:45We learned a lot. I still don't understand how
- 2:39:48they are able to run these meets in the middle of the crazy
- 2:39:52streets in New York City. Yeah, they put in the.
- 2:39:54Time and effort and research, talking to the the city it's
- 2:39:58yeah, it's a lot of work it it may look like a impromptu thing,
- 2:40:02but yeah, it's a lot of work and to make.
- 2:40:03It look impromptu. Wow.
- 2:40:05Yeah. Like, that's the art of it.
- 2:40:07Kind of. Yeah.
- 2:40:08Because you're doing all this work, but you want it to feel
- 2:40:11organic. And they do.
- 2:40:12So, you know, if you guys are in New York City, hey, check out
- 2:40:16their Instagram. At bare minimum, check out their
- 2:40:18Instagram. They don't seem to post every
- 2:40:21meet they do on there. But you got to go out to them.
- 2:40:24You got to meet people, you got to, you know, Yeah.
- 2:40:26And hopefully in the near. Future we can maybe link up with
- 2:40:29them and work something out. Maybe we have a little
- 2:40:31collaboration meeting. Yeah, the After podcast.
- 2:40:33Conversation was pretty good talking about we have some ideas
- 2:40:35cooking right now so hopefully we're able to bring some New
- 2:40:39York City vibes over the Hudson River a little bit and you know,
- 2:40:43they were considering it so. All right.
- 2:40:48It is the end of January, so that means our raffle is coming
- 2:40:51to an end. Our Origin Labo body kit raffle
- 2:40:54is coming to an end in a couple days.
- 2:40:57Guys, I would highly suggest entering this raffle.
- 2:41:00If there's one raffle I'm going to suggest this year, I.
- 2:41:04Don't know if it's going to be this one but.
- 2:41:07Hey, we don't know what's. In store, I know, that's why I'm
- 2:41:08hesitant to. Say it, but I would say that
- 2:41:10this is, if not number one, it's #2 best raffle of the year that
- 2:41:14we do. So I would definitely just throw
- 2:41:17at least a $5 order in there. Whatever you can do.
- 2:41:20At least if you get at least $5 in there, you get one entry.
- 2:41:23You could literally take care of your body care for the whole
- 2:41:25drift season. And it's January like it is the
- 2:41:28best time to do this. So check that out.
- 2:41:31It's only going on until the end of January and the next month
- 2:41:33we're going to be doing something else.
- 2:41:35Every $5 spent is 1 entry. Faction Motorsports products and
- 2:41:38merch gets you double entries, so check them out.

- 2:42:24Yeah, that was. Yeah, I'd like to have more of
- 2:42:26those in the shop. Actually, I don't know if I want
- 2:42:28more of those in the shop, but because it's a BMW, Yeah, but.
- 2:42:33I mean, Chris didn't have a. Problem with it?
- 2:42:35Yeah, it it seems like. Maybe Toyota had some thought
- 2:42:39into, you know, let's make it. Don't get me fired up.
- 2:42:41Let's make it. Tuner friendly.
- 2:42:42Maybe don't get me fired up right now.
- 2:42:44But yeah, if you guys got a, what else did we have?
- 2:42:47We had a nut. We had AR-303-GTR.
- 2:42:49I love R33's. That's that's the they're such a
- 2:42:52sleek. Looking car man.
- 2:42:53That's like the forgotten. Stepchild of the skyline yeah
- 2:42:59generations, I I feel like, but I I think the R33 GTR is one of
- 2:43:02the best ones yeah yeah, that was a cool.
- 2:43:04Car. But that's about it.
- 2:43:06We don't, we're not busy right now guys.

- 2:45:09But right now specifically, it's winter, so that's kind of the
- 2:45:12only place you can go to right now as far as drifting on
- 2:45:14tracks. I mean, if you want to go get
- 2:45:16arrested, you can go do it on the street somewhere, I guess,
- 2:45:18right? But yeah, we don't do that here.
- 2:45:19Well, we probably do, but Chris doesn't.
- 2:45:21So hit up Chris Nap at East Coast Drift School on Instagram.

- 2:46:24And of course, Ramstead MFG, they make a wheel fitment tool.
- 2:46:28Know before you buy. That's what I'm that's kind of
- 2:46:31the slogan I'm going with right now for this know before you buy
- 2:46:35like that doesn't really. Rhyme but.
- 2:46:37Not every slogan rhymes, so I'm going with that.
- 2:46:41Basically, you want to know what wheels fit your car before you
- 2:46:45buy a set of fucking $4000 wheels?
- 2:46:47Because I'm trying to buy wheels for the Z right now and it is
- 2:46:50not a fun time. So yeah, you're going to check
- 2:46:53that out over on our website. They, they're not even that
- 2:46:57expensive, dude. They're $100.

- 2:47:40You know what we have to do? We have to have.
- 2:47:41On the podcast, yeah, yeah. Hey, we'll be out there.
- 2:47:44We'll be out there, yeah. Possibly summer around final
- 2:47:47ballot. Time I assume.
- 2:47:49Okay, so we gotta add that to the.
- 2:47:50List too, Yeah, and let's not forget AG one.
- 2:47:53How can you forget when you only have?
- 2:47:54To take one scoop a day, that's dude, that's.
- 2:47:57Good. That's right.
- 2:47:58You're right. One scoop a day in eight to 10
- 2:48:00ounces of cold water and you're good to go.
- 2:48:03Daily immune support, right? First thing in the morning.
- 2:48:06Boom. Done.
- 2:48:08Yeah. Dude, that one scoop sets you up
- 2:48:10for the rest of the day. Get your mental all in, check
- 2:48:13your body, it does you. It does help internally.
- 2:48:18They definitely. Don't want me to say this, but
- 2:48:20we're going to bank on them not listening to this.
- 2:48:23I'm going to go on my personal experience that shit.
- 2:48:26Is like a fucking. Meal suppressant.
- 2:48:28I know that's not what it is, but you remember how I would do
- 2:48:31my exercises in the morning and then I would have a protein
- 2:48:35shake. If I take AG1 and then I do my
- 2:48:39exercises, I'm not even fucking hungry.
- 2:48:42Very weird like and I'm like how is this even?
- 2:48:45I don't know what it is, but if you guys are trying to lose
- 2:48:49weight and stuff, I mean, it might be a benefit to you.
- 2:48:51I'm just saying this is not what AG one is for, but it's just it
- 2:48:55kind of helps, you know what I mean?
- 2:48:56Like it's just it, it makes you also it makes you feel like
- 2:49:00you're doing the right thing in the morning.
- 2:49:01So I was like, maybe I shouldn't eat four eggs and some toast.
- 2:49:05Maybe I don't. Maybe I don't need the stack of
- 2:49:07pancakes. Yeah.
- 2:49:08Right like I. Don't I mean let me start with
- 2:49:10AG1. One scoop, wake up, then I'll
- 2:49:13then I'll exactly you know how I'm moving for the rest of the
- 2:49:17day. It might be mental because.
- 2:49:18AG1's going to put me in check. Yeah, it might be just a mental.
- 2:49:21Thing that's happening to me, but it's a great habit to get
- 2:49:23into and right now you're going to, if you use our link, not
- 2:49:28only are you going to get the welcome kit, which basically got
- 2:49:30everything you need in it to get started, but you're going to get
- 2:49:333 AG, one travel packs, 3AG Z travel packs, which is their new
- 2:49:37thing for sleep and a bottle of vitamin D3 plus K2 which is very
- 2:49:42important. I don't even have that yet, so I
- 2:49:44might have to use my own link to get this.
- 2:49:47But yeah, you just add the vitamin D3 and K2 to the AG one
- 2:49:52in the morning. That way you're getting
- 2:49:54everything you need. I highly suggest you guys do
- 2:49:57this. I'm taking it myself.
- 2:49:59Carl took it. Malcolm's tried it as well.
- 2:50:01Everyone here has tried it. We've I've been listening to ads
- 2:50:04for AG1 for fucking possibly eight years now from all the
- 2:50:07podcasts I listened to and I must say it is definitely worth
- 2:50:13it, especially if you are not the healthiest of people.
- 2:50:15And I know all you guys listening are not unfortunately.
- 2:50:18So check it out and thank you very much, AG.
- 2:50:22One, yeah and thank you AG one for giving us a.
- 2:50:23Chance to do this because it's it's cool, you know, that this
- 2:50:27is not a normal sponsor for us. Yeah, you know what I mean?
- 2:50:30So it's definitely nice to broaden our horizons.
- 2:50:35Is that a saying? Yeah, I don't know.
- 2:50:37Look at you before we close this.
- 2:50:39Episode out. I would like to talk about
- 2:50:42Wrecked magazine. All right, so this is a new
- 2:50:47company that we've partnered with.
- 2:50:49I talked to the guys over there recently and I'm very excited
- 2:50:54about this. I don't know if I told you yet.
- 2:50:56Did I tell you? A little bit, OK.
- 2:50:58I'm very, yeah, I'm very excited about.
- 2:51:00This. I'm a big print person.
- 2:51:04I love magazines. I love them from day one.
- 2:51:06You love tangible media? Yes.
- 2:51:09Yeah. Physical media is the best
- 2:51:12media. I'm not saying videos aren't
- 2:51:14good. Videos are obviously very
- 2:51:15fucking important. But social media?
- 2:51:18I'm good on that. It's 2020. 6 Let's turn.
- 2:51:21A new leaf from new page, turn new page.
- 2:51:24Fuck that shit. Get fuck it.
- 2:51:26A real magazine with literally everything.
- 2:51:28Did you take a look at this yet? No, I didn't.
- 2:51:30I only looked at. The digital version, which they
- 2:51:32sometimes, yeah, give you access to.
- 2:51:34Yeah. So what?
- 2:51:35Rec Magazine. Does is they have an actual
- 2:51:37print magazine that comes out quarterly?
- 2:51:39It's a drifting magazine. This is literally a drifting
- 2:51:43magazine through through 100% it's.
- 2:51:44Not Super Street, it's not. Not focused on anything else,
- 2:51:46yeah. It's not Super Street.
- 2:51:47It's not. Import tuner it's none of those
- 2:51:49it's a drifting magazine, so when you read this, you are
- 2:51:53going to get fucking hit with a bunch of information you're
- 2:51:58going to not not only that the advertisements in this magazine
- 2:52:01are good here. Take a look at it while we're
- 2:52:02look at this it's. We got episode.
- 2:52:04We got episode. We got issue 2 here right now
- 2:52:06that we're looking at, and I don't know, I'm just excited
- 2:52:11about this. I mentioned earlier in the intro
- 2:52:12or whatever that we're trying to, but we're trying to get
- 2:52:16these in the shop so we can sell them here.
- 2:52:18Because I think when people walk in the shop and they see them,
- 2:52:20they're going to be like, OK, I need this.
- 2:52:23You know, not only does it capture a moment in time, but
- 2:52:26it's. There's a lot of information in
- 2:52:28there, man. Yeah, Dude, this is no.
- 2:52:30Joke, did you see the look at the?
- 2:52:32End You're going to see something about 350Z.
- 2:52:35There's a whole article about 350 ZS.
- 2:52:38Like. And if they start doing more
- 2:52:40stuff like they were talking to me about like tech articles,
- 2:52:42shop articles and stuff like this, it's going to be very
- 2:52:45informative. So I would definitely check it
- 2:52:47out. But yeah, I don't know.
- 2:52:49I'm just very, I'm very excited about this one.
- 2:52:52It's and it's ran by the best people in the industry.
- 2:52:55So yeah, definitely check it out.
- 2:52:58It's like, dude, it's like the Thrasher magazine of the of the
- 2:53:01drifting culture. Yeah, yeah, that's literally
- 2:53:04what it feels like. So yeah, dude, this thing is
- 2:53:06really cool. Like.
- 2:53:09You could tell that a lot of effort is put into these.
- 2:53:13It's not just some Willy nilly yeah, oh, somebody made a
- 2:53:16magazine. No, this is.
- 2:53:18And it's not a. Real.
- 2:53:20It's like it's 2026. It's not easy to make a
- 2:53:22magazine, trust me, because we've thought about it and we
- 2:53:24wanted to do it, but it's an immense amount of work.
- 2:53:27Yeah, and it's. Expensive the.
- 2:53:29Designing. Is.
- 2:53:33Not only that, you ever think about.
- 2:53:34Orchestrating. People to go.
- 2:53:38To events, not only for media, but to write articles.
- 2:53:41Like there's a lot of shit involved.
- 2:53:43Yeah, yeah. So yeah.
- 2:53:46But it's just awesome. I I don't know about you guys,
- 2:53:48but I'm 35 so I remember going to Damn.
- 2:53:53How come you're 30? Continue.
- 2:53:57So I remember. So I remember seeing magazines
- 2:54:00and stuff when I would go to bookstore, like you can tell I'm
- 2:54:03a bad, I'm a bad kid because I would just go to the bookstore
- 2:54:06and go to the magazine section, just try to find import tuner.
- 2:54:08But yeah. And that's where like a lot of
- 2:54:11people got into cars too, I feel like.
- 2:54:13So, But yeah, super high quality photos, really good articles.
- 2:54:18Like I said, they got the best people in the industry working
- 2:54:20for them right now. Check out their Instagram if you
- 2:54:22want to see more. Most importantly, check out
- 2:54:24their website. I was just on it before.
- 2:54:27I believe it was like 60 to $70 versus a yearly subscription.
- 2:54:32It's really not that bad. Oh wow.
- 2:54:34You get a so you get a discount. Yeah, because a single issue is
- 2:54:37about 20. Is it 2020?
- 2:54:40Bucks, Yeah, 2320. Two, maybe something like that.
- 2:54:42I think it. Was around $20.
- 2:54:44Yeah, I'm not sure yet. And of.
- 2:54:45Course it's gonna be expensive for First of all, it's not easy
- 2:54:48to. Well, first of all, I don't even
- 2:54:49think that's expensive anymore, but I'm just gonna act like it
- 2:54:51is because I think magazines were like 5 to $12.00 when I
- 2:54:54was. It all depended on the.
- 2:54:57Yeah, but. Like nowadays you dude, you
- 2:55:00can't even eat McDonald's for less than 30 bucks.
- 2:55:02So yeah. So I don't know, but totally
- 2:55:05worth it. I would definitely spend 20
- 2:55:07bucks on a magazine like that. Just have it, yeah.
- 2:55:11I might not even read it for months.
- 2:55:12But just to have it and know that it's there and I can go
- 2:55:15back and I can look at the the stuff that's changed and
- 2:55:17everything. There's a fucking bright seat
- 2:55:20fucking sponsor on the back of that I should have.
- 2:55:22Sick. Wow.
- 2:55:23It just feels like an old super street mag.
- 2:55:26So yeah, check them out. You're going to be hearing about
- 2:55:28them a lot because this is this is a sponsorship that I'm very
- 2:55:31or a partnership that I'm very invested in.
- 2:55:34Personally, I would love to see magazines come back.
- 2:55:36I know it's almost impossible for that to happen on a large
- 2:55:40scale, but I. Don't know some people are.
- 2:55:42Saying they're kind of over social media right now.
- 2:55:45So yeah, dude, it's it's. Not the same.
- 2:55:47I mean, people are. Looking for a Kodak is killing
- 2:55:50it right now with those like the photo things, they hook it up to
- 2:55:54your phone and it prints photos. People want real shit now.
- 2:55:57It's like everyone's reverting back.
- 2:55:59So it's definitely a great time for this to happen.
- 2:56:01I hope it, you know, I hope the momentum stays.
- 2:56:06I did hear that they're thinking about having these at Formula
- 2:56:09Drift so that you might see them at Formula Drift.
- 2:56:11Guys, if you see them there, grab one just to check it out,
- 2:56:15see if you're interested in it. I'm sure you're going to be.
- 2:56:17But yeah, Wreck magazine.com, check them out.
- 2:56:21Thank you for listening. And we'll see.
- 2:56:22You on the next one. See you.
