- 0:00Speaker 1: What's up, everyone, and welcome back to the Epstein Chronicles.
- 0:05The conversation about Jeffrey Epstein and his behavior down in
- 0:09the US Virgin Islands has been a hot topic of
- 0:12conversation as of late, and today, in this article from
- 0:17the Insider, we're going to talk a little bit more
- 0:20about how the US Virgin Islands was complicit with helping
- 0:24Jeffrey Epstein do what he did. And to do that,
- 0:27we have an article from Business insider dot com headline
- 0:32Jeffrey Epstein used US Virgin Islands First Lady to remain
- 0:36unchecked in sects trafficking scheme, JP Morgan claims in court filing.
- 0:42This article was authored by Jacob Shamsion. And there's zero
- 0:47doubt that all of these people down in the US
- 0:50Virgin Islands that are out here now talking all kinds
- 0:53of crazy were at the very least on the ground level,
- 0:56involved one way or the other with helping Jeffrey Epstein,
- 1:00enabling Jeffrey Epstein. And now, of course when the exposure starts,
- 1:04forget it. They're a victim. Everyone's a victim, huh, except
- 1:08for the actual victims. They're the ones that are forgotten about.
- 1:12They're the ones that are having money taken from them
- 1:14by the US Virgin Islands. And does anyone think that
- 1:17one hundred and five million dollars that they already got
- 1:20is going to go to the people of the US
- 1:23Virgin Islands or is it going to go to some
- 1:25other jerk off politician down in the US Virgin Islands
- 1:28so they can stuff their pocket. New filings in the
- 1:31messy lawsuit between the US Virgin Islands and JP Morgan
- 1:35chase over who bears responsibility for Jeffrey Epstein's sex trafficking operation,
- 1:41are dragging former US Virgin Islands First Lady Cecial DeJong
- 1:46into the spotlight. Well, guess what, that's where you belong.
- 1:50All of these people have been hiding like the cockroaches
- 1:53they are for way too long, and now that they're
- 1:56being exposed a little bit, oh forget it, God forbid.
- 2:01On Tuesday, US District Judge Jed Raykoff, who was overseeing
- 2:05the lawsuit, ordered Jeffrey Epstein's estate to produce all emails
- 2:09and other documents referencing DeJong to JP Morgan, which is
- 2:14defending itself in the lawsuit. On the same day, JP
- 2:18Morgan alleged in its own filings that DeJong was Epstein's
- 2:22primary conduit for spreading money and influence throughout the US
- 2:27Virgin Islands government. And that certainly tracks with everything we know,
- 2:30with everything we've been talking about and a lot of
- 2:33other people, by the way, for a very long time. Look,
- 2:36do you think Epstein chose to go down to the
- 2:38US Virgin Islands just for fun? He just threw darts
- 2:42at a map and one of the darts hit the
- 2:44US Virgin Islands and he was like, you know what,
- 2:46here's where I'm gonna go. Because that's not how we operated.
- 2:50Everything was calculated, everything was measured out, and there was
- 2:54a reason behind every move. Unequivocally, a political culture was
- 2:58fostered within a local Democratic Party of the Virgin Islands
- 3:03that allowed Epstein to remain unchecked in exchange for his
- 3:06sponsorship and financial contributions. JP Morgan claims in the filing,
- 3:12and I have to tell you, when's the Democratic Party
- 3:14going to have a reckoning here? How many people that
- 3:17are Democrats and high ranking Democrats have to be attached
- 3:21to this? Is there ever going to be any kind
- 3:24of self reflection? Because remember during the last administration, it
- 3:28was always finger pointing and trying to use this Epstein
- 3:32disgustingness as a political cudgel to smack their enemies. But
- 3:36when you look at all the facts surrounding this, and
- 3:38you look at all of the documented players that were
- 3:41on the stage, there's no doubt that Jeffrey Epstein had
- 3:44his tentacles deep in the Democratic Party and not only
- 3:48the Democratic Party but the bundlers who are funding it.
- 3:51And why would he do that, Well, of course he
- 3:53wants the laws to be favorable to him. So if
- 3:56he gets the bag man who owns the politician, you
- 3:59know how it all works from there, right, And he
- 4:01was a master at that. Epstein was an absolute piece
- 4:04of shit, an absolute disgusting individual, but he knew his
- 4:08craft well, and he knew how to manipulate things into
- 4:12a situation that worked for him. And he also knew
- 4:16that these greedy ass politicians were the perfect target to
- 4:19help him further his own devious, disgusting plans. I mean,
- 4:24how much more powerful of a politician do you need
- 4:26to be than George Mitchell or Bill Richardson or Bill Clinton.
- 4:31I mean, come on, now, you're talking about Stacey Plaskett,
- 4:34You're talking about the Jong just go through the list
- 4:37and go through OpenSecrets dot com and look where Epstein
- 4:40was dumping his money. So for all the big mouths
- 4:42that were out there during the last administration pumping their
- 4:45gums all the time, well where are you at now?
- 4:48The US Virgin Islands Attorney General's Office filed the lawsuit
- 4:52against JP Morgan in December, alleging the financial institution pulled
- 4:57the levers of Epstein's sex trafficking operation. Epstein died in
- 5:01Manhattan jail in twenty nineteen while awaiting trial on sex
- 5:06trafficking charges, and his longtime associate co conspirator, general all
- 5:10around scusbag bipedal serpent, Glene Maxwell, was convicted in twenty
- 5:15twenty one for trafficking girls to him to rape. And yeah,
- 5:19it was just those two, right, just Epstein and Maxwell.
- 5:22Nobody else was involved here. Nobody else was shown up
- 5:25at the house to have a little party, huh. According
- 5:29to the US Virgin Islands lawsuit, Epstein's JP Morgan accounts
- 5:33were used to pay off as victims and conceal wrongdoing.
- 5:37The bank ignored red flag laws that would have allowed
- 5:40them to stop Epstein earlier, according to the suit. In
- 5:43its own filings. JP Morgan says the US Virgin Islands
- 5:47should have used its own oversight powers to stop Epstein,
- 5:50and that it was greedy for seeking more damages after
- 5:54already obtaining more than one hundred million dollars in a
- 5:57settlement with Epstein's estate. So they're trying to take more
- 6:00money out of the pocket of the survivors. I don't
- 6:03understand how the survivors aren't hell bent about this. I'd
- 6:06be so mad right now. Forget it. It's bad enough
- 6:09you're getting taxed by the government. It's bad enough the
- 6:11government took the lion's share of the money, but now
- 6:14you have another government showing up with their handout playing
- 6:17the beggar. Meanwhile, this same government was complicit with helping
- 6:22Jeffrey Epstein do what he was doing for all of
- 6:24these years. Somebody make it make sense. This next section
- 6:28is one that some people aren't gonna want to hear.
- 6:30But guess what, Like Tony Soprano says, I'm gonna say
- 6:33some bad words and you're just gonna have to listen.
- 6:37Epstein had deep ties to the local Democratic Party. JP
- 6:42Morgan claims he's beating around.
- 6:44Speaker 2: The bush here.
- 6:44Speaker 1: The author Let's be very clear, Okay, Epstein was paying
- 6:48a lot of money to a lot of Democrats for
- 6:50a very long time. And while everybody was out here
- 6:53busy pointing at alex Acosta, dudes like Bill Richardson, dudes
- 6:58like George Mitchell, somehow caninue to avoid any kind of
- 7:01real public scrutiny. So how do you explain that, where's
- 7:05the Miami Herald with their gigantic peace on George Mitchell
- 7:08or Bill Richardson? I wouldn't hold my breath. Epstein maintained
- 7:13a quid pro quo relationship with usvii's highest ranking officials
- 7:17by giving them money and political favors in exchange for
- 7:21millions of dollars in tax incentives, and for them looking
- 7:24the other way when he brought girls to his private island.
- 7:27According to JP Morgan's new filing, that's correct. There's nothing
- 7:32incorrect about that. Just follow the money, really, that's what
- 7:35it comes down to. Just follow the money, and if
- 7:38you're honest with yourself, you'll see where all of that
- 7:41money ends up. At the center of Epstein's links to
- 7:44the government officials, JP Morgan alleges was DeJong, who served
- 7:49as First Lady when her husband, John Dejeong Junior, was
- 7:53Governor of the US Virgin Islands between two thousand and
- 7:55seven and twenty and fifteen. Cecil DeJong didn't immediately respond
- 8:01to a request for comment after Insider reached a representative.
- 8:05Much of the details of her work for Epstein are
- 8:08redacted from the filing. Whenever you're talking about somebody like this,
- 8:12her job was to smooth things out for Epstein. Make
- 8:15sure things were smooth when he showed up, make sure
- 8:17the right people were there, make sure he was being
- 8:19introduced to the right people. Oh, you need to talk
- 8:22to the Economic Commissioner. Perfect, we'll bring him over for dinner.
- 8:26And that's what she did. She was a facilitator, not
- 8:29so much as in bringing girls for him to abuse,
- 8:32but a gatekeeper for other rich, powerful people in the
- 8:37local Democratic Party in the US Virgin Islands. She had
- 8:41worked for the Southern Trust Company, a corporation Epstein allegedly
- 8:45used for his sex trafficking enterprise, as well as one
- 8:48of Epstein's philanthropic foundations. According to the new JP Morgan filing,
- 8:54DeJong worked for Epstein while also serving as first Lady
- 8:58and managed Epstein's corporation despite her public role and official duties.
- 9:03The political donations she facilitated, according to JP Morgan, came
- 9:08with strings attached. Oh you don't say, of course they do,
- 9:12and of course they did. And the local politicians in
- 9:15the Democratic Party down in the US Virgin Islands, they
- 9:18were all too happy to play ball. According to the filing,
- 9:22Epstein also fostered connections with Kenneth Mapp, who served as
- 9:26governor between twenty fifteen and twenty nineteen, as well as
- 9:31Albert Bryant, the current governor, who was scheduled to be
- 9:34deposed for the lawsuit on January sixth. Neither Map nor
- 9:39a representative for Brian immediately responded to requests for comment
- 9:43about their alleged relationships with Epstein. They're not going to
- 9:46say anything.
- 9:47Speaker 2: They know better.
- 9:48Speaker 1: They're already in it too deep, and making a comment
- 9:51here just opens themselves up further to criticism. Epstein raised
- 9:56funds for Stacy Plaskett, a Democrat who serves as a
- 10:00non voting delegate, who has represented the US Virgin Islands
- 10:04in Congress since twenty fifteen, and who served as a
- 10:08House manager during former President Donald Trump's second impeachment trial.
- 10:12Imagine that Huh, this lady's up here on her ivory
- 10:16tower talking all this nonsense, talking all this craziness, calling
- 10:21other people terrorists and the rest of it. Meanwhile, this
- 10:24woman took over thirty grand from Jeffrey Epstein.
- 10:28Speaker 2: Oh, I gave it back, So it's okay. No, it's
- 10:30not okay.
- 10:31Speaker 1: So you mean to tell me that the favored attack
- 10:34dog that you put out in the spotlight here is
- 10:36somebody disconnected to Epstein and nobody has anything to say
- 10:40about it.
- 10:40Speaker 2: Huh.
- 10:41Speaker 1: And I can't help but, going back to the quote
- 10:43by Nancy Pelosi's daughter, every time something like this comes up,
- 10:48some of our faives are going to be caught up
- 10:50in this. And it's gross that the legacy media is
- 10:53giving all of these people a pass. Stacey Plaskett shouldn't
- 10:56have to answer questions about what she was doing with
- 10:59Jeffrey Epstein. And furthermore, how dare you have this lady
- 11:02up here in a prominent position when she has those
- 11:05connections to Jeffrey Epstein. Plaskett has since said she's donated
- 11:11those funds to nonprofits supporting women and children and called
- 11:15Epstein's conduct despicable. Well, at first, she said she wasn't
- 11:18going to return those donations. Remember we talked about that
- 11:21at the time. And the refusal for the legacy media
- 11:25to hold people to the same standard no matter who
- 11:28they are is the biggest problem that people have with
- 11:31the legacy media these days. And you wonder why places
- 11:34like Vice are going out of business, and you wonder
- 11:37why all of these legacy media journalists are crying on
- 11:41Twitter that they're getting fired or they're not making any money. Well,
- 11:44when you make content for only half of the people,
- 11:47you shouldn't expect your shit to pop. And this story
- 11:50right here is a shining example of it. You would
- 11:52think that they'd be all over a story like this.
- 11:55Somebody like Stacy Plaskett, this high ranking official, somebody who
- 11:59has a prominent position. For the last few months, nobody
- 12:02decided to ask her about Jeffrey Epstein.
- 12:05Speaker 2: Huh. Nobody called her out in those trials or those hearings.
- 12:08I know I would have.
- 12:09Speaker 1: If I was standing in front of her and she
- 12:11was running her yap at me, my first comment would
- 12:14have been, so, how long did you take money from Epstein?
- 12:17Speaker 2: And what did you have to do for that money?
- 12:19Speaker 1: That's the question people should be asking Stacey Plaskett in
- 12:23a partially unredacted transcript for a deposition she took in May.
- 12:28Plasket discussed traveling to Epstein's Manhattan townhouse as late as
- 12:31twenty eighteen, which was more than a decade after his
- 12:35sex offender designation and about a year before his arrest
- 12:39by federal prosecutors. Now, imagine if this was, say, oh,
- 12:42I don't know Ted Cruz doing this. Can you imagine
- 12:45how crazy things would be right now? And that's all
- 12:47I'm saying about the legacy media. They don't call balls
- 12:50and strikes fair, and then they cry when nobody wants
- 12:53to listen to their bullshit. And that's exactly what's happening
- 12:57right now. People have had enough of the legacy media
- 13:00being half baked for this one or that one and
- 13:03not doing their job as the fifth of State, and
- 13:06that job is holding people in power to account, and
- 13:10they've forgotten their charter. JP Morgan alleges that Epstein's powerful
- 13:14connections with the US Virgin Islands political establishment meant that
- 13:18they effectively ignored his status as a registered sex offender,
- 13:22which followed his two thousand and seven guilty plea for
- 13:25solicitation in Florida. So can somebody give me a quality
- 13:30excuse that Stacy Plaskett can give the rest of us
- 13:34as to why she was meeting him at his house
- 13:36in twenty eighteen. Oh what, Stacey Plaskett shouldn't be held
- 13:40to the same standard as Glenn Dubin. Maybe that won't
- 13:43happen elsewhere, but here on this podcast, we're not pulling
- 13:45any punches with these people anymore. And the fact that
- 13:48people like Stacy Plaskett are thrust into these prominent roles,
- 13:52it's a really big black eye for the Democratic Party
- 13:55and there's just no way around it. In some in
- 13:59exchange for Epstein's cash and gifts, USVI made life easy
- 14:03for him. The new filing claims the government mitigated any
- 14:07burdens from his sex offender status and it made sure
- 14:10that no one asked too many questions about his transport
- 14:13and keeping of young girls on his island. And this
- 14:17is all documented, all of the people at the airport
- 14:20who saw this happening, all of the girls that talked
- 14:22about it. There's no doubt that Epstein was doing this
- 14:26with the protection of several different people in the US
- 14:30Virgin Islands. And follow the money who got his money,
- 14:33and whoever got that money, my guess is they're the
- 14:35ones that were doing the protecting. I know, a novel
- 14:39idea right to follow the money. What do we always say,
- 14:42if you follow the money on the street, you're gonna
- 14:44end up out a drug dealer. But if you follow
- 14:46the money from the drug dealer's office, inevitably you're gonna
- 14:49end up in some politician's office.
- 14:51Speaker 2: And the same holds true here.
- 14:53Speaker 1: Just follow Epstein's money and eventually it's gonna lead back
- 14:56to some scumbag politician. Person for the US Virgin Islands
- 15:01government said that JP Morgan's new filing is an obvious
- 15:05attempt to shift blame from the bank. JP Morgan Chase
- 15:09facilitated Jeffrey Epstein's abuse and should be held accountable for
- 15:13violating the law. The spokesperson said, you mean the law
- 15:16that you were chosen and elected to uphold. You know,
- 15:20the law you didn't uphold, the fact you let this
- 15:22dude do what he did. It takes a big set
- 15:25from the US Virgin Islands, in my opinion, to come
- 15:28out here and talk about there do anything. In fact,
- 15:31I would love to see the US Virgin Islands get
- 15:33sued for one hundred and five million dollars. Sounds like
- 15:35a good number. JP Morgan Chase facilitated Jeffrey Epstein's abuse
- 15:41and should be held accountable for violating the law, the
- 15:44spokesperson said. JP Morgan has also filed a lawsuit against
- 15:48Jeff Staley, a former JP Morgan executive who formed close
- 15:52ties with Epstein, alleging he should be solely responsible for
- 15:56any wrongdoing. On Wednesday, Raykoff allowed the lawsuit against Day
- 16:01to move forward, rejecting his attempts to dismiss it. The
- 16:05US Virgin Islands settled its separate sex trafficking case with
- 16:09Epstein's estate in December, with the estate agreeing to hand
- 16:13over more than one hundred and five million dollars and
- 16:16a portion of the proceeds from the sale of the
- 16:19Dead Pedophiles Island residences. The island sold for sixty million
- 16:23in May. Stephen Dekoff, the financier who purchased them, has
- 16:28said he has plans to turn them into a destination resort.
- 16:32A destination resort is it? Huh, can't wait to go there.
- 16:35That's going to be fun. And as far as the
- 16:38Virgin Islands and the corruption We've been talking about this
- 16:40for a very long time. It's nice to see some
- 16:43other people catching up. But there's no doubt that hands
- 16:46were being greased and people were on the arm, and
- 16:49it wasn't happening for free. Epstein was paying them, giving
- 16:52them money, and in return they were giving him favors.
- 16:55Speaker 2: That's called quid pro quo.
- 16:57Speaker 1: So is anybody in the US Virgin Islands ever going
- 17:00to be held responsible or is the cash grab going
- 17:04to continue in perpetuity? All right, folks, that's gonna do
- 17:07it for this one. All of the information that goes
- 17:09with the episode can be found in the description box.
