• 3:00
  for
• 3:00
  people
• 3:01
  that
• 3:01
  want
• 3:02
  to
• 3:02
  live
• 3:02
  there
• 3:02
  through
• 3:02
  the
• 3:03
  rest
• 3:03
  of
• 3:03
  their

• 3:03
  If
• 3:04
  it's
• 3:04
  going
• 3:04
  to
• 3:04
  be
• 3:04
  I'm
• 3:04
  going
• 3:05
  to
• 3:05
  die
• 3:05
  in
• 3:05
  this
• 3:05

• 3:06
  this
• 3:07
  episode
• 3:07
  is
• 3:07
  for
• 3:07
  you.
• 3:08
  Or
• 3:08
  if
• 3:08
  you
• 3:08
  have
• 3:08
  parents
• 3:09
  that
• 3:09
  don't
• 3:09
  want
• 3:09
  to
• 3:09
  go
• 3:10
  into
• 3:10
  assisted
• 3:10
  living
• 3:11
  or
• 3:11
  go
• 3:11
  into
• 3:12
  something
• 3:12
  like
• 3:12
  that,
• 3:12
  we
• 3:13
  are
• 3:13
  going
• 3:13
  to
• 3:13
  talk
• 3:14
  about
• 3:14
  that
• 3:14
  today.
• 3:15
  And
• 3:15
  this
• 3:16
  is
• 3:16
  an
• 3:16
  important
• 3:16
  subject
• 3:17
  because
• 3:17
  if
• 3:18
  you're
• 3:19
  remodeling
• 3:19
  and
• 3:19
  this
• 3:19
  is
• 3:20
  a
• 3:20
  house
• 3:20
  that
• 3:20
  you're
• 3:20
  going
• 3:20
  to
• 3:20
  be
• 3:21
  into.
• 3:21
  There
• 3:21
  are
• 3:21
  some
• 3:21
  really
• 3:22
  cool,
• 3:22
  neat
• 3:23
  tricks
• 3:23
  and
• 3:24
  tips
• 3:24
  that
• 3:24
  I
• 3:24
  can
• 3:24
  give
• 3:25
  you.
• 3:26
  And
• 3:26
  one
• 3:26
  of
• 3:26
  those,
• 3:27
  let's
• 3:27
  just
• 3:27
  start
• 3:27
  out
• 3:27
  at
• 3:28
  the
• 3:28
  front
• 3:28
  of
• 3:28
  the
• 3:28
  house,
• 3:29
  more
• 3:29
  people.
• 3:30
  And
• 3:30
  let
• 3:31
  me
• 3:31
  give
• 3:31
  you
• 3:31
  a
• 3:31
  quick
• 3:31
  background
• 3:32
  on
• 3:32
  this
• 3:32
  before
• 3:32
  we
• 3:32
  go
• 3:32
  to
• 3:32
  the
• 3:33
  front
• 3:33
  of
• 3:33
  the
• 3:33
  house.
• 3:33
  This
• 3:33
  is
• 3:33
  an
• 3:34
  important
• 3:34
  one.
• 3:34
  Most
• 3:35
  of
• 3:35
  the
• 3:35
  time,
• 3:35
  you
• 3:36
  can
• 3:36
  remodel
• 3:36
  the
• 3:36
  house
• 3:37
  for
• 3:37
  much
• 3:38
  less
• 3:38
  than
• 3:39
  going
• 3:39
  into
• 3:39
  a
• 3:39
  care
• 3:40
  facility.
• 3:40
  I
• 3:40
  know
• 3:40
  care
• 3:41
  facilities
• 3:41
  out
• 3:41
  there.
• 3:42
  They're
• 3:42
  anywhere
• 3:42
  from
• 3:43
  8
• 3:43
  to
• 3:43
  12,000
• 3:44
  bucks
• 3:45
  a
• 3:45
  month.
• 3:46
  And
• 3:46
  I
• 3:46
  tell
• 3:46
  you
• 3:46
  what,
• 3:46
  you
• 3:47
  can
• 3:47
  do
• 3:47
  a
• 3:47
  lot
• 3:47
  around
• 3:48
  your
• 3:48
  house,
• 3:49
  especially
• 3:49
  if
• 3:49
  you're
• 3:50
  remodeling
• 3:50
  as
• 3:51
  you
• 3:51
  go.
• 3:51
  If
• 3:51
  you're
• 3:51
  like,
• 3:52
  I'm
• 3:52
  not
• 3:52
  going
• 3:52
  to
• 3:52
  be
• 3:52
  there
• 3:52
  for
• 3:53
  20
• 3:53
  years,
• 3:54
  what
• 3:54
  happens
• 3:54
  if
• 3:54
  you
• 3:55
  get
• 3:55
  hurt?
• 3:55
  What
• 3:55
  happens
• 3:55
  if
• 3:55
  you
• 3:55
  have
• 3:56
  to
• 3:56
  have
• 3:56
  a
• 3:56
  knee
• 3:56
  surgery
• 3:56
  or
• 3:57
  hip
• 3:57
  surgery
• 3:57
  or
• 3:58
  something,
• 3:58
  or
• 3:58
  even
• 3:58
  a
• 3:58
  shoulder
• 3:59
  surgery?
• 4:00
  These
• 4:00
  are
• 4:00
  all
• 4:00
  things
• 4:01
  that
• 4:01
  we
• 4:01
  can
• 4:01
  do
• 4:01
  to
• 4:01
  your
• 4:01
  house
• 4:02
  without
• 4:02
  making
• 4:02
  it
• 4:03
  look
• 4:03
  like
• 4:03
  a
• 4:03
  cheap
• 4:03
  ADA
• 4:04
  hotel
• 4:05
  room
• 4:05
  that
• 4:06
  just
• 4:06
  looks
• 4:06
  like
• 4:06
  somebody's
• 4:07
  hospital.
• 4:07
  That's
• 4:08
  the
• 4:08
  last
• 4:08
  thing
• 4:08
  we
• 4:08
  want
• 4:08
  to
• 4:08
  do.
• 4:09
  But
• 4:09
  here
• 4:09
  are
• 4:09
  my
• 4:10
  tricks
• 4:10
  and
• 4:10
  tips
• 4:10
  on
• 4:10
  this.
• 4:11
  And
• 4:11
  this
• 4:11
  is
• 4:11
  something
• 4:11
  that
• 4:11
  I've
• 4:12
  done
• 4:12
  for
• 4:12
  many
• 4:12
  people
• 4:13
  in
• 4:14
  the
• 4:14
  last
• 4:14
  30
• 4:14
  years
• 4:14
  of
• 4:15
  my
• 4:15
  design
• 4:15
  career.
• 4:16
  So
• 4:16
  this
• 4:16
  is
• 4:16
  something
• 4:16
  that
• 4:16
  we
• 4:17
  have
• 4:17
  done,
• 4:17
  But
• 4:17
  I'm
• 4:17
  going
• 4:18
  to
• 4:18
  give
• 4:18
  you
• 4:18
  all
• 4:18
  of
• 4:18
  my
• 4:18
  insider
• 4:19
  tricks
• 4:19
  and
• 4:19
  tips
• 4:19
  today
• 4:20
  on
• 4:20
  this.
• 4:21
  So
• 4:21
  the
• 4:21
  first
• 4:21
  thing
• 4:21
  is
• 4:21
  when
• 4:22
  you're
• 4:22
  outside
• 4:22
  of
• 4:22
  the
• 4:22
  home,
• 4:23
  if
• 4:23
  there's
• 4:23
  a
• 4:23
  way
• 4:23
  to
• 4:24
  do
• 4:24
  it,
• 4:24
  when
• 4:24
  you're
• 4:24
  doing
• 4:24
  your
• 4:25
  landscaping,
• 4:25
  your
• 4:26
  front
• 4:26
  porch,
• 4:27
  if
• 4:27
  there
• 4:27
  is
• 4:27
  a
• 4:28
  way
• 4:28
  to
• 4:28
  make
• 4:28
  it
• 4:29
  where
• 4:29
  you
• 4:29
  can
• 4:29
  landscape
• 4:30
  and
• 4:30
  get
• 4:30
  a
• 4:30
  pathway
• 4:31
  up
• 4:31
  to
• 4:31
  the
• 4:31
  front
• 4:32
  door
• 4:32
  of
• 4:32
  the
• 4:32
  house
• 4:33
  by
• 4:34
  just
• 4:34
  rolling
• 4:35
  and
• 4:35
  not
• 4:36
  having
• 4:36
  a
• 4:36
  step,
• 4:37
  that
• 4:37
  is
• 4:37
  the
• 4:38
  ultimate
• 4:38
  one.
• 4:38
  Because
• 4:39
  if
• 4:39
  you
• 4:39
  end
• 4:39
  up
• 4:40
  getting
• 4:41
  put
• 4:41
  into
• 4:41
  a
• 4:41
  wheelchair
• 4:42
  or
• 4:42
  a
• 4:42
  walker
• 4:42
  and
• 4:43
  you
• 4:43
  have
• 4:43
  to
• 4:43
  put
• 4:43
  one
• 4:43
  of
• 4:44
  those
• 4:44
  large
• 4:44
  metal
• 4:45
  temporary
• 4:46
  commercial
• 4:46
  ramps
• 4:47
  in
• 4:47
  there
• 4:48
  that
• 4:48
  are
• 4:48
  just
• 4:48
  a
• 4:49
  looks
• 4:50
  like
• 4:50
  you're
• 4:50
  out
• 4:50
  in
• 4:50
  front
• 4:50
  of
• 4:50
  a
• 4:50
  courthouse,
• 4:51
  that
• 4:51
  they
• 4:51
  put
• 4:51
  a
• 4:52
  metal
• 4:52
  ramp
• 4:52
  on
• 4:52
  the
• 4:52
  side
• 4:53
  to
• 4:53
  get
• 4:53
  people
• 4:53
  up
• 4:53
  those
• 4:53
  big
• 4:54
  steps.
• 4:55
  Nobody
• 4:55
  likes
• 4:55
  that
• 4:56
  design
• 4:56
  unless
• 4:56
  they
• 4:56
  have
• 4:57
  to
• 4:57
  have
• 4:57
  it.
• 4:58
  So
• 4:58
  if
• 4:58
  there's
• 4:58
  a
• 4:58
  way
• 4:59
  to
• 4:59
  bring
• 4:59
  that
• 4:59
  up,
• 5:01
  that
• 5:01
  can
• 5:01
  be
• 5:01
  key.
• 5:02
  Over
• 5:03
  the
• 5:03
  years,
• 5:03
  garages
• 5:05
  have
• 5:05
  been
• 5:05
  a
• 5:05
  tough
• 5:05
  place
• 5:06
  to
• 5:06
  manage
• 5:06
  that
• 5:06
  way.
• 5:07
  And
• 5:07
  this
• 5:07
  is
• 5:08
  starting
• 5:08
  to
• 5:08
  change.
• 5:08
  If
• 5:09
  you
• 5:09
  noticed,
• 5:09
  garages
• 5:10
  either
• 5:10
  had
• 5:10
  to
• 5:10
  be
• 5:10
  like
• 5:11
  4
• 5:11
  inches
• 5:11
  or
• 5:11
  8
• 5:12
  inches
• 5:12
  deeper
• 5:13
  than
• 5:13
  the
• 5:13
  rest
• 5:13
  of
• 5:13
  the
• 5:13
  house.
• 5:15
  And
• 5:15
  that
• 5:15
  was
• 5:15
  because
• 5:16
  of
• 5:16
  a
• 5:16
  couple
• 5:16
  of
• 5:17
  reasons.
• 5:17
  One,
• 5:18
  the
• 5:18
  main
• 5:18
  one
• 5:18
  is
• 5:18
  gasoline
• 5:19
  vapors
• 5:20
  tend
• 5:21
  to
• 5:21
  stay
• 5:21
  down
• 5:21
  low
• 5:21
  to
• 5:22
  the
• 5:22
  ground.
• 5:22
  So
• 5:23
  they
• 5:23
  did
• 5:23
  not
• 5:23
  want
• 5:23
  those
• 5:24
  gasoline
• 5:24
  vapors
• 5:25
  creeping
• 5:26
  into
• 5:26
  the
• 5:26
  house.
• 5:27
  And
• 5:27
  so
• 5:28
  you
• 5:28
  always
• 5:28
  had
• 5:28
  a
• 5:28
  step
• 5:29
  or
• 5:29
  two
• 5:29
  going
• 5:29
  down
• 5:29
  into
• 5:29
  the
• 5:30
  garage.
• 5:30
  And
• 5:30
  that's
• 5:30
  why.
• 5:31
  And
• 5:31
  that's
• 5:31
  how
• 5:31
  it's
• 5:32
  unfortunately
• 5:32
  easy
• 5:33
  way
• 5:33
  to
• 5:33
  check
• 5:33
  out
• 5:34
  a
• 5:34
  a
• 5:34
  garage
• 5:35
  that
• 5:35
  has
• 5:35
  been
• 5:35
  converted
• 5:37
  is
• 5:37
  you
• 5:37
  walk
• 5:38
  out
• 5:38
  of
• 5:38
  the
• 5:38
  kitchen,
• 5:38
  there's
• 5:39
  two
• 5:39
  steps
• 5:39
  down,
• 5:39
  and
• 5:39
  guess
• 5:40
  what?
• 5:40
  You
• 5:40
  go,
• 5:40
  okay,
• 5:41
  this
• 5:41
  rec
• 5:41
  room
• 5:42
  is
• 5:42
  now
• 5:42
  somebody's
• 5:43
  former
• 5:43
  garage.
• 5:44
  And
• 5:45
  to
• 5:45
  me
• 5:45
  that's
• 5:45
  always
• 5:45
  not
• 5:46
  an
• 5:46
  optimal
• 5:46
  situation
• 5:47
  because
• 5:47
  it
• 5:47
  just
• 5:48
  smells
• 5:48
  and
• 5:48
  looks
• 5:49
  like
• 5:49
  it.
• 5:50
  But
• 5:50
  nowadays
• 5:50
  you're
• 5:51
  seeing
• 5:51
  this
• 5:51
  a
• 5:51
  little
• 5:51
  bit
• 5:51
  more
• 5:51
  because
• 5:52
  building
• 5:52
  codes
• 5:53
  and
• 5:53
  fire
• 5:53
  codes
• 5:54
  in
• 5:54
  areas
• 5:54
  are
• 5:54
  changing,
• 5:55
  especially
• 5:56
  where
• 5:56
  you
• 5:56
  see
• 5:56
  a
• 5:56
  lot
• 5:56
  of
• 5:56
  slab
• 5:57
  on
• 5:57
  grade
• 5:57
  construction.
• 5:58
  So
• 5:58
  I'm
• 5:58
  seeing
• 5:59
  in
• 5:59
  some
• 5:59
  areas
• 5:59
  more
• 6:00
  and
• 6:00
  more
• 6:00
  homes
• 6:01
  on
• 6:01
  the
• 6:01
  same
• 6:02
  level,
• 6:03
  which
• 6:03
  caused
• 6:03
  a
• 6:04
  few
• 6:04
  other
• 6:04
  little
• 6:04
  issues.
• 6:05
  Because
• 6:06
  what
• 6:06
  happens
• 6:06
  is
• 6:07
  when
• 6:07
  you
• 6:07
  have
• 6:07
  a
• 6:08
  garage
• 6:09
  and
• 6:09
  you
• 6:10
  have
• 6:10
  concrete
• 6:10
  going
• 6:11
  up
• 6:11
  to
• 6:11
  it,
• 6:11
  of
• 6:11
  course
• 6:11
  the
• 6:11
  garage
• 6:12
  floor,
• 6:12
  no
• 6:12
  matter
• 6:12
  what's,
• 6:13
  gonna
• 6:13
  have
• 6:13
  to
• 6:13
  be
• 6:13
  sloped
• 6:13
  towards
• 6:13
  the
• 6:14
  door.
• 6:14
  But
• 6:15
  here's
• 6:15
  what
• 6:15
  happens
• 6:16
  and
• 6:17
  this
• 6:17
  gets
• 6:17
  a
• 6:17
  little
• 6:17
  bit
• 6:17
  interesting
• 6:18
  that
• 6:19
  you
• 6:19
  can
• 6:20
  cause
• 6:20
  some
• 6:20
  rot
• 6:21
  on
• 6:21
  the
• 6:21
  siding
• 6:21
  and
• 6:22
  stuff
• 6:22
  because
• 6:22
  you
• 6:22
  almost
• 6:22
  have
• 6:23
  to
• 6:23
  have
• 6:23
  the
• 6:23
  garage
• 6:24
  coming
• 6:25
  out
• 6:25
  because
• 6:25
  you
• 6:25
  want
• 6:26
  to
• 6:26
  have
• 6:26
  4
• 6:26
  to
• 6:26
  6
• 6:26
  inches
• 6:27
  there
• 6:27
  between
• 6:27
  the
• 6:27
  edge
• 6:28
  of
• 6:28
  the
• 6:28
  siding
• 6:28
  or
• 6:28
  the
• 6:28
  sill
• 6:29
  place
• 6:29
  in
• 6:29
  the
• 6:29
  ground.
• 6:30
  So
• 6:30
  now
• 6:30
  you
• 6:31
  have
• 6:31
  to
• 6:31
  make
• 6:31
  that
• 6:31
  garage
• 6:32
  slope
• 6:32
  coming
• 6:32
  up
• 6:33
  to
• 6:33
  that
• 6:33
  really
• 6:33
  high.
• 6:34
  So
• 6:34
  something
• 6:35
  to
• 6:35
  consider,
• 6:36
  I
• 6:36
  like
• 6:36
  to
• 6:37
  have
• 6:37
  that
• 6:37
  where
• 6:37
  it's
• 6:38
  not
• 6:38
  having
• 6:38
  that
• 6:39
  space.
• 6:39
  So
• 6:40
  you
• 6:40
  got
• 6:40
  to
• 6:40
  be
• 6:40
  a
• 6:41
  little
• 6:41
  careful
• 6:41
  with
• 6:41
  that.
• 6:42
  So
• 6:42
  in
• 6:43
  my
• 6:43
  situation
• 6:43
  that
• 6:44
  I
• 6:44
  would
• 6:44
  much
• 6:45
  rather
• 6:45
  see
• 6:45
  people
• 6:45
  do
• 6:46
  is
• 6:46
  I'd
• 6:46
  much
• 6:47
  rather
• 6:47
  see
• 6:47
  you
• 6:47
  have
• 6:48
  the
• 6:48
  garage
• 6:48
  be
• 6:49
  lower,
• 6:50
  but
• 6:50
  being
• 6:50
  able,
• 6:51
  if
• 6:51
  you
• 6:51
  are,
• 6:52
  have
• 6:52
  some
• 6:52
  ability
• 6:53
  issues
• 6:53
  of
• 6:53
  navigating
• 6:54
  stairs,
• 6:55
  you
• 6:55
  could
• 6:55
  put
• 6:56
  a
• 6:56
  big
• 6:56
  ramp
• 6:56
  in
• 6:56
  the
• 6:57
  garage
• 6:57
  that
• 6:57
  can
• 6:57
  take
• 6:57
  up
• 6:57
  a
• 6:58
  lot
• 6:58
  of
• 6:58
  space.
• 6:58
  But
• 6:58
  if
• 6:58
  you're
• 6:59
  building,
• 6:59
  it's
• 6:59
  not
• 6:59
  a
• 6:59
  big
• 6:59
  deal.
• 6:59
  If
• 7:00
  you're
• 7:00
  remodeling,
• 7:00
  it
• 7:00
  usually
• 7:01
  is.
• 7:02
  But
• 7:02
  really
• 7:02
  if
• 7:03
  you've
• 7:03
  got
• 7:03
  that,
• 7:03
  where
• 7:04
  you
• 7:04
  could
• 7:04
  roll
• 7:04
  out
• 7:04
  of
• 7:04
  the
• 7:05
  garage,
• 7:06
  not
• 7:06
  use
• 7:07
  the
• 7:07
  steps
• 7:07
  in
• 7:07
  and
• 7:07
  go
• 7:08
  in
• 7:08
  through
• 7:08
  the
• 7:08
  front
• 7:08
  door,
• 7:10
  that's
• 7:10
  a
• 7:10
  better
• 7:10
  situation
• 7:11
  and
• 7:12
  that's
• 7:12
  a
• 7:12
  good
• 7:12
  one
• 7:13
  for
• 7:13
  access.
• 7:14
  Now,
• 7:14
  the
• 7:14
  same
• 7:14
  thing
• 7:15
  is
• 7:15
  I'd
• 7:15
  like
• 7:15
  to
• 7:15
  see
• 7:16
  a
• 7:16
  electronic
• 7:17
  front
• 7:17
  door
• 7:17
  lock
• 7:18
  that
• 7:18
  can
• 7:18
  be
• 7:19
  run
• 7:19
  with
• 7:19
  an
• 7:20
  app
• 7:20
  or
• 7:21
  something
• 7:21
  that
• 7:21
  you
• 7:22
  can
• 7:22
  be
• 7:22
  giving
• 7:22
  a
• 7:22
  code
• 7:23
  to.
• 7:24
  Let's
• 7:24
  say
• 7:24
  that
• 7:24
  you
• 7:24
  are
• 7:25
  elderly
• 7:25
  or
• 7:26
  you're
• 7:26
  doing
• 7:26
  something
• 7:27
  for
• 7:27
  your
• 7:27
  mom
• 7:27
  or
• 7:27
  dad
• 7:28
  or
• 7:28
  your
• 7:28
  grandparents
• 7:29
  or
• 7:29
  whatever,
• 7:29
  depending
• 7:30
  on
• 7:30
  what
• 7:30
  age
• 7:30
  group
• 7:30
  you're
• 7:31
  in.
• 7:32
  I
• 7:32
  like
• 7:32
  to
• 7:32
  have
• 7:32
  a
• 7:33
  code
• 7:33
  where
• 7:33
  you
• 7:33
  can
• 7:33
  give
• 7:34
  the
• 7:34
  fire
• 7:34
  department,
• 7:35
  the
• 7:35
  police
• 7:35
  department,
• 7:36
  someone's
• 7:37
  assisting
• 7:37
  you,
• 7:38
  their
• 7:38
  own
• 7:38
  code
• 7:39
  you're
• 7:40
  going
• 7:40
  to
• 7:40
  remember.
• 7:41
  So
• 7:42
  I
• 7:42
  never
• 7:42
  say
• 7:43
  use
• 7:43
  your
• 7:43
  birth
• 7:43
  date
• 7:44
  for
• 7:44
  a
• 7:44
  code,
• 7:45
  but
• 7:45
  if
• 7:45
  you're
• 7:46
  going
• 7:46
  to
• 7:46
  do
• 7:46
  something
• 7:46
  like
• 7:47
  that
• 7:47
  and
• 7:47
  make
• 7:47
  an
• 7:47
  emergency
• 7:48
  code.
• 7:48
  So
• 7:48
  if
• 7:49
  you
• 7:49
  called
• 7:49
  the
• 7:49
  police
• 7:49
  and
• 7:50
  I
• 7:50
  can't
• 7:50
  get
• 7:50
  up,
• 7:50
  I've
• 7:51
  fallen,
• 7:51
  I
• 7:51
  can't
• 7:51
  get
• 7:52
  up.
• 7:52
  You
• 7:53
  can
• 7:53
  remember
• 7:53
  and
• 7:54
  give
• 7:54
  a
• 7:54
  code
• 7:55
  for
• 7:55
  them
• 7:55
  to
• 7:55
  come
• 7:55
  up
• 7:56
  to
• 7:56
  the
• 7:56
  door
• 7:56
  without
• 7:56
  having
• 7:56
  to
• 7:57
  break
• 7:57
  it
• 7:57
  down.
• 7:58
  So
• 7:58
  these
• 7:59
  are
• 7:59
  great
• 7:59
  things
• 7:59
  that
• 7:59
  you
• 8:00
  can
• 8:00
  do
• 8:00
  with
• 8:00
  electronic
• 8:01
  door
• 8:01
  locks
• 8:01
  and
• 8:01
  things
• 8:02
  like
• 8:02
  that.
• 8:02
  Or
• 8:03
  if
• 8:03
  you've
• 8:04
  got
• 8:04
  an
• 8:04
  app
• 8:04
  on
• 8:04
  your
• 8:04
  phone
• 8:05
  and
• 8:05
  that
• 8:05
  person
• 8:05
  is
• 8:06
  hurt
• 8:06
  but
• 8:06
  they
• 8:06
  need
• 8:06
  help
• 8:06
  or
• 8:07
  assistance,
• 8:07
  they
• 8:07
  can
• 8:08
  come
• 8:08
  in
• 8:08
  and
• 8:08
  unlock
• 8:08
  it.
• 8:09
  So
• 8:09
  there's
• 8:10
  many
• 8:10
  things
• 8:10
  that
• 8:10
  you
• 8:10
  can
• 8:10
  do
• 8:11
  just
• 8:11
  on
• 8:11
  the
• 8:11
  outside
• 8:12
  of
• 8:12
  the
• 8:12
  house
• 8:13
  and
• 8:13
  that
• 8:13
  goes
• 8:13
  to
• 8:14
  lighting,
• 8:14
  that
• 8:14
  goes
• 8:15
  to
• 8:15
  you
• 8:16
  slip
• 8:16
  proof
• 8:17
  areas.
• 8:17
  That's
• 8:18
  talking
• 8:18
  about
• 8:19
  just
• 8:19
  having
• 8:19
  a
• 8:19
  nice
• 8:20
  gentle
• 8:20
  slope
• 8:20
  up
• 8:21
  to
• 8:21
  the
• 8:21
  house
• 8:21
  without
• 8:22
  that.
• 8:23
  And
• 8:23
  now
• 8:24
  that's
• 8:24
  really
• 8:24
  part
• 8:25
  of
• 8:25
  it.
• 8:25
  The
• 8:25
  other
• 8:25
  thing
• 8:25
  that
• 8:26
  I
• 8:26
  would
• 8:26
  like
• 8:26
  to
• 8:26
  see
• 8:26
  too
• 8:26
  is
• 8:27
  a
• 8:27
  very
• 8:27
  nice
• 8:27
  camera
• 8:28
  system
• 8:29
  so
• 8:29
  someone
• 8:29
  in
• 8:30
  can't
• 8:30
  stand
• 8:30
  up
• 8:30
  and
• 8:30
  go
• 8:31
  see
• 8:31
  what's
• 8:31
  going
• 8:31
  out
• 8:31
  in
• 8:32
  front
• 8:32
  of
• 8:32
  the
• 8:32
  house.
• 8:32
  If
• 8:32
  they
• 8:32
  hear
• 8:32
  a
• 8:33
  noise
• 8:33
  or
• 8:33
  they
• 8:33
  want
• 8:33
  to
• 8:33
  look
• 8:34
  around
• 8:34
  the
• 8:34
  perimeter,
• 8:35
  more
• 8:35
  people
• 8:35
  get
• 8:36
  hurt
• 8:36
  because
• 8:37
  especially
• 8:37
  when
• 8:37
  they're
• 8:38
  elderly
• 8:38
  trying
• 8:39
  to
• 8:39
  go
• 8:39
  out
• 8:39
  and
• 8:39
  navigate
• 8:39
  in
• 8:40
  the
• 8:40
  slip
• 8:40
  soft
• 8:41
  lawn.
• 8:41
  If
• 8:42
  you've
• 8:42
  got
• 8:42
  a
• 8:42
  walker
• 8:43
  or
• 8:43
  something
• 8:43
  like
• 8:43
  that,
• 8:44
  those
• 8:44
  are
• 8:44
  things
• 8:44
  that
• 8:44
  can
• 8:44
  be
• 8:45
  pretty
• 8:45
  dangerous.
• 8:46
  So
• 8:46
  having
• 8:47
  that
• 8:48
  camera
• 8:48
  system
• 8:49
  is
• 8:49
  a
• 8:49
  nice
• 8:50
  thing.
• 8:51
  When
• 8:51
  we
• 8:51
  come
• 8:51
  back
• 8:52
  here,
• 8:52
  we're
• 8:52
  going
• 8:53
  to
• 8:53
  talk
• 8:53
  about
• 8:54
  what
• 8:54
  to
• 8:54
  do
• 8:54
  in
• 8:54
  the
• 8:55
  bathroom.
• 8:55
  And
• 8:56
  there
• 8:56
  are
• 8:56
  so
• 8:56
  many
• 8:57
  cool
• 8:57
  things.
• 8:57
  You
• 8:57
  can
• 8:58
  build
• 8:58
  a
• 8:58
  beautiful
• 8:59
  bathroom
• 8:59
  out
• 9:00
  that
• 9:00
  doesn't
• 9:01
  make
• 9:01
  it
• 9:01
  look
• 9:01
  like
• 9:02
  it
• 9:02
  came
• 9:02
  out
• 9:02
  of
• 9:02
  a
• 9:02
  hospital
• 9:03
  or
• 9:03
  an
• 9:03
  emergency
• 9:04
  room.
• 9:05
  And
• 9:05
  there's
• 9:05
  a
• 9:05
  lot
• 9:05
  of
• 9:05
  cool
• 9:06
  tricks
• 9:06
  we
• 9:06
  can
• 9:06
  do.
• 9:07
  And
• 9:07
  we're
• 9:07
  going
• 9:07
  to
• 9:07
  talk
• 9:07
  about
• 9:08
  these
• 9:08
  that
• 9:08
  you
• 9:09
  never
• 9:09
  see
• 9:10
  that
• 9:10
  just
• 9:10
  look
• 9:10
  like
• 9:11
  a
• 9:11
  beautiful
• 9:11
  style
• 9:12
  element
• 9:12
  or
• 9:13
  it's
• 9:13
  hidden
• 9:13
  behind
• 9:14
  the
• 9:14
  wall.
• 9:15
  And
• 9:15
  he
• 9:15
  gives
• 9:15
  you
• 9:16
  options
• 9:16
  later
• 9:17
  because
• 9:17
  here's
• 9:18
  the
• 9:18
  thing,
• 9:18
  maybe
• 9:18
  right
• 9:18
  now
• 9:19
  you're
• 9:19
  designing
• 9:19
  it
• 9:19
  for
• 9:20
  you
• 9:20
  and
• 9:20
  you're
• 9:20
  in
• 9:20
  your
• 9:21
  50s
• 9:21
  and
• 9:21
  you're
• 9:21
  like,
• 9:21
  hey,
• 9:22
  I'm
• 9:22
  going
• 9:22
  to
• 9:22
  be
• 9:22
  in
• 9:22
  this
• 9:22
  house
• 9:22
  for
• 9:23
  20
• 9:23
  years.
• 9:24
  The
• 9:24
  chance
• 9:24
  you're
• 9:24
  getting
• 9:24
  hurt
• 9:25
  or
• 9:25
  needing
• 9:25
  to
• 9:25
  do
• 9:26
  something
• 9:26
  or
• 9:26
  change
• 9:27
  things
• 9:27
  around
• 9:27
  is
• 9:28
  high.
• 9:28
  So
• 9:28
  I'm
• 9:28
  going
• 9:28
  to
• 9:29
  be
• 9:29
  able
• 9:29
  to
• 9:29
  give
• 9:29
  you
• 9:29
  here
• 9:29
  when
• 9:30
  we
• 9:30
  come
• 9:30
  back
• 9:31
  the
• 9:31
  biggest
• 9:32
  flexibility
• 9:33
  that
• 9:33
  you
• 9:33
  can
• 9:33
  do
• 9:34
  things
• 9:34
  with.
• 9:34
  And
• 9:34
  that
• 9:35
  makes
• 9:35
  a
• 9:35
  big
• 9:35
  difference
• 9:36
  when
• 9:36
  you're
• 9:36
  designing
• 9:36
  this
• 9:36
  stuff
• 9:37
  out.
• 9:37
  Because
• 9:37
  you
• 9:37
  might
• 9:37
  not
• 9:37
  need
• 9:38
  it
• 9:38
  now,
• 9:39
  but
• 9:39
  maybe
• 9:39
  you
• 9:39
  want
• 9:40
  the
• 9:40
  ability
• 9:41
  to
• 9:41
  deal
• 9:41
  with
• 9:42
  it
• 9:42
  later.
• 9:42
  And
• 9:43
  having
• 9:43
  the
• 9:43
  house
• 9:44
  built
• 9:44
  where
• 9:44
  you
• 9:44
  can
• 9:44
  do
• 9:44
  that
• 9:45
  is
• 9:45
  a
• 9:45
  really
• 9:46
  nice
• 9:46
  option.
• 9:47
  All
• 9:48
  right,
• 9:48
  guys.
• 9:48
  Hey,
• 9:48
  when
• 9:48
  we
• 9:48
  come
• 9:48
  back,
• 9:49
  we'll
• 9:49

  about

  designing

• 12:38
  we
• 12:38
  will
• 12:39
  all
• 12:39
  be
• 12:39
  back
• 12:39
  next
• 12:40
  week
• 12:40
  with
• 12:40
  a
• 12:40
  refreshingly
• 12:41
  new
• 12:41
  show.
• 12:42
  Welcome
• 12:42
  back
• 12:42
  to

  the

• 12:43
  the

• 12:43
  This
• 12:43
  is
• 12:43
  where
• 12:44
  we
• 12:44
  help
• 12:44
  you
• 12:44
  get
• 12:44
  the
• 12:44
  most
• 12:44
  out
• 12:44
  of
• 12:44
  your
• 12:45
  home
• 12:45
  through
• 12:45
  information
• 12:46
  and
• 12:46
  education.
• 12:47
  We've
• 12:47
  been
• 12:47
  talking
• 12:48
  about
• 12:49
  really
• 12:49
  trying
• 12:50
  to
• 12:50
  design
• 12:50
  that
• 12:51
  home
• 12:51
  so
• 12:51
  you
• 12:51
  can
• 12:52
  make
• 12:52
  it
• 12:52
  your
• 12:52
  forever
• 12:53
  home.
• 12:54
  And
• 12:54
  things
• 12:55
  to
• 12:55
  think
• 12:55
  about
• 12:55
  when
• 12:55
  you're
• 12:56
  remodeling
• 12:56
  your
• 12:56
  home
• 12:56
  as
• 12:57
  you
• 12:57
  get
• 12:57
  older,
• 12:58
  whether
• 12:58
  or
• 12:58
  not
• 12:58
  you're
• 12:59
  somebody
• 12:59
  young,
• 12:59
  you're
• 13:00
  working
• 13:00
  on
• 13:00
  your
• 13:00
  parents
• 13:01
  house,
• 13:01
  your
• 13:01
  grandparents
• 13:02
  house,
• 13:02
  there
• 13:02
  are
• 13:02
  things
• 13:02
  we
• 13:03
  can
• 13:03
  do
• 13:03
  along
• 13:03
  the
• 13:03
  way
• 13:04
  that
• 13:04
  give
• 13:04
  us
• 13:05
  that
• 13:05
  expandability
• 13:06
  and
• 13:06
  capability
• 13:07
  to
• 13:07
  make
• 13:07
  it
• 13:07
  more
• 13:08
  accessible
• 13:09
  for
• 13:09
  everyone.
• 13:10
  Now
• 13:10
  one
• 13:11
  of
• 13:11
  the
• 13:11
  most
• 13:11
  important
• 13:11
  rooms
• 13:12
  we've
• 13:12
  been
• 13:12
  talking
• 13:12
  about
• 13:13
  here
• 13:14
  is
• 13:15
  bathrooms.
• 13:16
  And
• 13:16
  bathrooms
• 13:17
  are
• 13:17
  a
• 13:17
  tough
• 13:17
  one
• 13:18
  because
• 13:18
  they
• 13:18
  are
• 13:18
  one
• 13:18
  of
• 13:18
  the
• 13:19
  most
• 13:19
  dangerous
• 13:19
  rooms
• 13:20
  in
• 13:20
  the
• 13:20
  house.
• 13:21
  And
• 13:21
  if
• 13:21
  you
• 13:21
  are
• 13:21
  aging
• 13:22
  in
• 13:22
  place
• 13:23
  and
• 13:23
  you're
• 13:23
  like,
• 13:23
  hey,
• 13:23
  this
• 13:23
  is
• 13:24
  gonna
• 13:24
  be
• 13:24
  my
• 13:24
  forever
• 13:24
  home,
• 13:25
  there's
• 13:26
  a
• 13:26
  lot
• 13:26
  of
• 13:26
  things
• 13:26
  we
• 13:26
  can
• 13:27
  do
• 13:27
  without
• 13:27
  making
• 13:27
  it
• 13:27
  look
• 13:28
  like
• 13:28
  it's
• 13:28
  a
• 13:28
  bad
• 13:29
  hospital
• 13:29
  bathroom
• 13:30
  or
• 13:30
  one
• 13:30
  of
• 13:30
  those
• 13:31
  ADA
• 13:32
  hotel
• 13:32
  rooms
• 13:33
  that
• 13:33
  make
• 13:34
  it
• 13:34
  not
• 13:34
  look
• 13:34
  amazing,
• 13:35
  right?
• 13:35
  You
• 13:36
  want
• 13:36
  it
• 13:36
  to
• 13:36
  be
• 13:36
  beautiful,
• 13:37
  stylish,
• 13:37
  comfy,
• 13:38
  and
• 13:39
  none
• 13:39
  of
• 13:39
  those
• 13:39
  rooms
• 13:40
  like
• 13:40
  that
• 13:40
  really
• 13:41
  make
• 13:41
  it
• 13:41
  feel
• 13:42
  that
• 13:42
  way.
• 13:42
  So
• 13:42
  that's
• 13:43
  why
• 13:43
  we're
• 13:43
  going
• 13:43
  to
• 13:43
  talk
• 13:43
  about
• 13:43
  some
• 13:44
  of
• 13:44
  these
• 13:44
  things
• 13:44
  today.
• 13:44
  So
• 13:45
  one
• 13:45
  of
• 13:45
  the
• 13:45
  things
• 13:46
  that
• 13:46
  I
• 13:46
  like
• 13:46
  to
• 13:47
  do
• 13:47
  is
• 13:47
  if
• 13:48
  you're
• 13:48
  designing
• 13:48
  out
• 13:48
  a
• 13:49
  shower,
• 13:50
  go
• 13:50
  ahead
• 13:50
  and
• 13:50
  put
• 13:50
  in
• 13:51
  a
• 13:51
  roll
• 13:51
  in
• 13:52
  Curbless
• 13:52
  shower.
• 13:53
  Curbless
• 13:54
  showers
• 13:54
  are
• 13:54
  hot.
• 13:55
  You
• 13:55
  can
• 13:55
  walk
• 13:55
  right
• 13:55
  into
• 13:56
  that
• 13:56
  and
• 13:56
  the
• 13:57
  nice
• 13:57
  thing
• 13:57
  is
• 13:57
  you
• 13:57
  can
• 13:57
  do
• 13:57
  that
• 13:58
  in
• 13:58
  almost
• 13:58
  any
• 13:58
  space
• 13:59
  nowadays.
• 13:59
  They've
• 13:59
  come
• 13:59
  up
• 14:00
  with
• 14:00
  a
• 14:00
  lot
• 14:00
  of
• 14:00
  different
• 14:00
  ways
• 14:01
  to
• 14:01
  do
• 14:01
  it.
• 14:01
  Where
• 14:02
  you
• 14:02
  can
• 14:02
  recess
• 14:02
  the
• 14:03
  floor,
• 14:04
  could
• 14:04
  have
• 14:04
  the
• 14:04
  right
• 14:04
  slope.
• 14:05
  And
• 14:06
  then
• 14:06
  you've
• 14:06
  got
• 14:06
  this
• 14:07
  really
• 14:07
  nice
• 14:07
  luxurious
• 14:08
  shower.
• 14:08
  But
• 14:08
  if
• 14:08
  you
• 14:09
  needed
• 14:09
  to
• 14:09
  go
• 14:09
  in
• 14:09
  there
• 14:09
  with
• 14:10
  a
• 14:10
  wheelchair
• 14:10
  or
• 14:11
  if
• 14:11
  you're
• 14:12
  rolling
• 14:12
  in
• 14:12
  on
• 14:13
  a
• 14:13
  walker,
• 14:13
  guess
• 14:14
  what,
• 14:14
  that
• 14:14
  will
• 14:15
  work
• 14:15
  for
• 14:15
  you.
• 14:16
  So
• 14:16
  that
• 14:16
  is
• 14:16
  one
• 14:17
  right
• 14:17
  there.
• 14:17
  And
• 14:17
  then
• 14:18
  if
• 14:18
  you're
• 14:18
  designing
• 14:18
  this
• 14:19
  space,
• 14:19
  giving
• 14:19
  yourself
• 14:20
  some
• 14:20
  extra
• 14:20
  room
• 14:21
  because
• 14:21
  you
• 14:22
  want
• 14:22
  to
• 14:22
  be
• 14:22
  able
• 14:22
  to
• 14:22
  get
• 14:22
  in
• 14:22
  there,
• 14:23
  turn
• 14:23
  around,
• 14:23
  especially
• 14:24
  if
• 14:24
  you've
• 14:24
  got
• 14:24
  a
• 14:24
  wheelchair.
• 14:25
  So
• 14:26
  larger
• 14:26
  bathrooms
• 14:27
  are
• 14:27
  key.
• 14:27
  So
• 14:27
  if
• 14:28
  you
• 14:28
  can
• 14:28
  do
• 14:28
  that
• 14:29
  in
• 14:29
  a
• 14:29
  perfect
• 14:30
  world,
• 14:30
  I'd
• 14:30
  have
• 14:30
  a
• 14:31
  five
• 14:31
  foot
• 14:31
  space
• 14:31
  which
• 14:32
  is
• 14:32
  a
• 14:32
  circle
• 14:33
  that's
• 14:33
  five
• 14:33
  foot
• 14:34
  across.
• 14:34
  You
• 14:34
  can
• 14:34
  spin
• 14:35
  around
• 14:35
  if
• 14:35
  you're
• 14:35
  in
• 14:35
  a
• 14:36
  wheelchair
• 14:37
  and
• 14:37
  have
• 14:37
  assistance.
• 14:38
  But
• 14:38
  that's
• 14:38
  not
• 14:38
  always
• 14:38
  necessary
• 14:39
  and
• 14:39
  quite
• 14:40
  frankly,
• 14:40
  not
• 14:40
  always
• 14:41
  practical.
• 14:42
  So
• 14:42
  these
• 14:42
  are
• 14:42
  things
• 14:43
  here
• 14:43
  that
• 14:43
  you
• 14:43
  got
• 14:43
  to
• 14:43
  be
• 14:43
  really
• 14:44
  careful
• 14:44
  with
• 14:44
  just
• 14:45
  to
• 14:45
  be
• 14:45
  able
• 14:45
  to
• 14:45
  get
• 14:45
  in
• 14:45
  there.
• 14:46
  If
• 14:46
  you've
• 14:46
  got
• 14:46
  somebody
• 14:47
  helping
• 14:47
  you,
• 14:47
  get
• 14:47
  into
• 14:47
  a
• 14:48
  space
• 14:48
  to
• 14:48
  do
• 14:48
  that.
• 14:49
  Now
• 14:49
  one
• 14:49
  of
• 14:49
  the
• 14:50
  things
• 14:50
  that
• 14:50
  I
• 14:50
  like
• 14:50
  to
• 14:50
  do
• 14:50
  is
• 14:51
  when
• 14:51
  you're
• 14:51
  building
• 14:51
  out
• 14:51
  the
• 14:51
  space,
• 14:52
  let's
• 14:52
  say
• 14:52
  you're
• 14:52
  doing
• 14:52
  a
• 14:53
  remodel
• 14:53
  in
• 14:53
  it,
• 14:54
  Whether
• 14:54
  or
• 14:54
  not,
• 14:54
  I
• 14:54
  don't
• 14:55
  care
• 14:55
  if
• 14:55
  you're
• 14:55
  30
• 14:55
  years
• 14:56
  old,
• 14:56
  go
• 14:57
  through
• 14:57
  and
• 14:57
  put
• 14:57
  blocks
• 14:58
  in
• 14:58
  the
• 14:58
  walls
• 14:59
  with
• 14:59
  your
• 15:00
  scrap
• 15:00
  lumber,
• 15:01
  block
• 15:01
  it
• 15:02
  out.
• 15:02
  So
• 15:02
  you
• 15:02
  have
• 15:03
  places
• 15:03
  to
• 15:03
  put
• 15:03
  towel
• 15:04
  bars.
• 15:05
  That
• 15:05
  way
• 15:05
  you've
• 15:06
  got
• 15:06
  towel
• 15:06
  bars,
• 15:06
  you've
• 15:07
  got
• 15:07
  grab
• 15:07
  bars,
• 15:08
  you've
• 15:08
  got
• 15:08
  safety
• 15:09
  handles.
• 15:09
  All
• 15:09
  those
• 15:10
  things
• 15:10
  that
• 15:10
  you
• 15:10
  do,
• 15:11
  sometimes
• 15:11
  they'll
• 15:11
  go
• 15:11
  in
• 15:12
  the
• 15:12
  shower,
• 15:12
  sometimes
• 15:12
  they'll
• 15:13
  go
• 15:13
  out
• 15:13
  in
• 15:13
  the
• 15:14
  bathroom
• 15:14
  as
• 15:14
  you're
• 15:14
  getting
• 15:14
  into
• 15:15
  a
• 15:15
  tub
• 15:15
  shower.
• 15:16
  But
• 15:16
  if
• 15:16
  you
• 15:16
  block
• 15:17
  that
• 15:17
  out
• 15:17
  and
• 15:18
  then
• 15:18
  what
• 15:18
  I
• 15:18
  do
• 15:19
  is,
• 15:19
  and
• 15:20
  it's
• 15:20
  great
• 15:20
  with
• 15:20
  pictures
• 15:21
  these
• 15:21
  days,
• 15:21
  after
• 15:21
  you
• 15:22
  get
• 15:22
  it
• 15:22
  blocked
• 15:22
  out,
• 15:22
  before
• 15:22
  the
• 15:23
  drywall
• 15:23
  goes
• 15:23
  up
• 15:23
  or
• 15:24
  the
• 15:24
  tile
• 15:24
  system
• 15:24
  goes
• 15:25
  in,
• 15:25
  take
• 15:26
  some
• 15:26
  pictures
• 15:26
  of
• 15:26
  it
• 15:27
  and
• 15:27
  get
• 15:27
  some
• 15:27
  measurements
• 15:28
  or
• 15:28
  at
• 15:28
  least
• 15:28
  document
• 15:29
  what
• 15:29
  those
• 15:29
  are.
• 15:30
  If
• 15:30
  you
• 15:31
  could
• 15:31
  take
• 15:31
  a
• 15:31
  picture
• 15:31
  where
• 15:31
  those
• 15:32
  are
• 15:32
  with
• 15:32
  a
• 15:32
  tape
• 15:32
  measure,
• 15:33
  it's
• 15:33
  easy,
• 15:33
  even
• 15:33
  better.
• 15:34
  And
• 15:34
  then
• 15:35
  later
• 15:35
  on,
• 15:35
  if
• 15:35
  you
• 15:36
  need
• 15:36
  to
• 15:36
  add
• 15:37
  a
• 15:37
  grab
• 15:38
  bar,
• 15:38
  something
• 15:39
  to
• 15:39
  help
• 15:39
  you
• 15:39
  get
• 15:39
  into
• 15:39
  a
• 15:40
  shower,
• 15:40
  something
• 15:40
  to
• 15:40
  get
• 15:41
  you
• 15:41
  into
• 15:41
  a
• 15:41
  tub,
• 15:41
  something
• 15:42
  to
• 15:42
  get
• 15:42
  you
• 15:42
  over
• 15:43
  into
• 15:43
  the
• 15:43
  toilet,
• 15:44
  for
• 15:44
  instance,
• 15:44
  into
• 15:44
  that
• 15:45
  toilet
• 15:45
  area.
• 15:45
  Those
• 15:46
  are
• 15:46
  smart
• 15:46
  things
• 15:47
  to
• 15:47
  do.
• 15:47
  And
• 15:47
  it
• 15:47
  really
• 15:48
  costs
• 15:48
  you
• 15:48
  almost
• 15:49
  nothing.
• 15:50
  You
• 15:50
  know,
• 15:50
  short
• 15:50
  pieces
• 15:51
  of
• 15:51
  scrap
• 15:51
  lumber,
• 15:51
  you
• 15:52
  might
• 15:52
  have
• 15:52
  the
• 15:52
  price
• 15:52
  of
• 15:52
  a
• 15:52
  few
• 15:53
  two
• 15:53
  by
• 15:53
  sixes
• 15:54
  or
• 15:54
  two
• 15:54
  by
• 15:54
  eights,
• 15:55
  but
• 15:55
  use
• 15:55
  big
• 15:55
  lumber.
• 15:56
  I
• 15:56
  go
• 15:56
  in
• 15:56
  there,
• 15:56
  block
• 15:57
  it
• 15:57
  out,
• 15:57
  and
• 15:57
  it
• 15:58
  looks
• 15:58
  really
• 15:58
  good
• 15:59
  because
• 15:59
  you
• 15:59
  won't
• 16:00
  be
• 16:00
  able
• 16:00
  to
• 16:00
  see
• 16:00
  it.
• 16:00
  But
• 16:01
  when
• 16:01
  the
• 16:01
  time
• 16:01
  comes,
• 16:01
  you're
• 16:02
  not
• 16:02
  gonna
• 16:02
  have
• 16:02
  to
• 16:02
  dig
• 16:02
  into
• 16:03
  that
• 16:03
  wall
• 16:03
  and
• 16:03
  actually
• 16:04
  put
• 16:04
  those
• 16:04
  block.
• 16:05
  Because
• 16:06
  anytime
• 16:06
  that
• 16:06
  you've
• 16:07
  got
• 16:07
  people
• 16:07
  like
• 16:07
  that,
• 16:07
  where
• 16:08
  you've
• 16:08
  got
• 16:09
  the
• 16:09
  weight
• 16:10
  of
• 16:10
  their
• 16:10
  body,
• 16:11
  you
• 16:11
  can't
• 16:11
  just
• 16:11
  go
• 16:11
  into
• 16:12
  drywall,
• 16:12
  it's
• 16:12
  got
• 16:12
  to
• 16:12
  go
• 16:12
  into
• 16:13
  studs.
• 16:13
  And
• 16:13
  that
• 16:13
  can
• 16:13
  be
• 16:14
  hard
• 16:14
  sometimes
• 16:14
  where
• 16:14
  you
• 16:15
  want
• 16:15
  to
• 16:15
  put
• 16:15
  them.
• 16:16
  And
• 16:16
  that
• 16:16
  can
• 16:16
  get
• 16:16
  in
• 16:17
  the
• 16:17
  way.
• 16:17
  So
• 16:17
  that's
• 16:17
  another
• 16:18
  great
• 16:18
  trick.
• 16:19
  The
• 16:19
  other
• 16:19
  thing
• 16:20
  is
• 16:20
  make
• 16:20
  sure
• 16:20
  you
• 16:20
  put
• 16:20
  that
• 16:21
  outlet
• 16:21
  behind
• 16:21
  the
• 16:21
  toilet
• 16:22
  for
• 16:22
  the
• 16:22
  smart
• 16:22
  toilet
• 16:23
  seats,
• 16:23
  the
• 16:23
  bidet
• 16:23
  toilet
• 16:24
  seats.
• 16:24
  Because
• 16:24
  I
• 16:24
  tell
• 16:24
  you
• 16:25
  what,
• 16:25
  as
• 16:25
  you
• 16:26
  get
• 16:26
  older,
• 16:26
  that
• 16:26
  bidet
• 16:27
  toilet
• 16:27
  seat
• 16:27
  is
• 16:27
  something
• 16:27
  that
• 16:28
  really
• 16:28
  helps
• 16:28
  you
• 16:29
  have
• 16:29
  that
• 16:29
  freedom
• 16:30
  without
• 16:30
  having
• 16:31
  to
• 16:31
  somebody
• 16:32
  have
• 16:32
  somebody
• 16:32
  come
• 16:32
  help
• 16:32
  you.
• 16:33
  That
• 16:33
  gives
• 16:33
  you
• 16:33
  that
• 16:33
  ability
• 16:34
  to
• 16:34
  take
• 16:34
  care
• 16:35
  of
• 16:35
  yourself.
• 16:36
  And
• 16:36
  there's
• 16:37
  nothing
• 16:37
  more
• 16:37
  embarrassing
• 16:37
  than
• 16:38
  having
• 16:38
  to
• 16:38
  have
• 16:38
  somebody
• 16:38
  come
• 16:38
  in
• 16:39
  and
• 16:39
  help
• 16:39
  you
• 16:39
  go
• 16:39
  to
• 16:39
  the
• 16:40
  bathroom.
• 16:40
  And
• 16:40
  if
• 16:41
  you
• 16:41
  can
• 16:41
  take
• 16:41
  that
• 16:41
  step
• 16:42
  by
• 16:42
  just
• 16:42
  putting
• 16:42
  an
• 16:42
  outlet
• 16:43
  back
• 16:43
  there,
• 16:44
  that
• 16:44
  gives
• 16:44
  you
• 16:44
  a
• 16:44
  chance
• 16:44
  to
• 16:45
  put
• 16:45
  up
• 16:45
  a
• 16:45
  day
• 16:45
  toilet
• 16:46
  seat
• 16:46
  on
• 16:46
  that
• 16:46
  existing
• 16:47
  toilet
• 16:47
  later
• 16:48
  and
• 16:48
  you'll
• 16:48
  be
• 16:48
  good
• 16:49
  to
• 16:49
  go.
• 16:49
  Now
• 16:49
  the
• 16:50
  next
• 16:50
  one
• 16:50
  on
• 16:50
  here
• 16:50
  is
• 16:51
  in
• 16:51
  super
• 16:51
  is
• 16:51
  super
• 16:52
  important
• 16:52
  and
• 16:52
  well.
• 16:53
  And
• 16:53
  I
• 16:53
  like
• 16:53
  this
• 16:54
  one
• 16:54
  because
• 16:54
  what
• 16:54
  you
• 16:55
  can
• 16:55
  do
• 16:56
  is
• 16:56
  get
• 16:56
  a
• 16:56
  toilet
• 16:57
  a
• 16:57
  little
• 16:57
  bit
• 16:57
  higher.
• 16:58
  Comfort
• 16:59
  height
• 16:59
  toilets
• 16:59
  are
• 16:59
  big
• 17:00
  right
• 17:00
  now,
• 17:00
  they're
• 17:00
  bigger,
• 17:01
  better
• 17:01
  on
• 17:02
  your
• 17:02
  knees.
• 17:02
  And
• 17:03
  that's
• 17:03
  the
• 17:03
  cool
• 17:03
  thing,
• 17:04
  is
• 17:04
  that
• 17:04
  when
• 17:04
  you're
• 17:05
  sitting
• 17:05
  down
• 17:05
  low,
• 17:06
  it's
• 17:07
  harder
• 17:07
  to
• 17:07
  get
• 17:07
  up
• 17:07
  out
• 17:08
  of
• 17:08
  that
• 17:08
  position.
• 17:09
  If
• 17:09
  you've
• 17:09
  got,
• 17:10
  let's
• 17:10
  say
• 17:10
  you've
• 17:10
  had
• 17:10
  knee
• 17:11
  surgery,
• 17:11
  let's
• 17:11
  say
• 17:11
  you've
• 17:11
  hurt
• 17:12
  your
• 17:12
  leg
• 17:12
  or
• 17:12
  you're
• 17:13
  not
• 17:13
  using
• 17:13
  them
• 17:13
  very
• 17:13
  well,
• 17:14
  those
• 17:14
  are
• 17:15
  great
• 17:15
  in
• 17:15
  this
• 17:15
  situation.
• 17:17
  So
• 17:17
  that's
• 17:17
  another
• 17:18
  one
• 17:18
  of
• 17:18
  those
• 17:18
  right
• 17:18
  there.
• 17:19
  Now
• 17:20
  the
• 17:20
  other
• 17:20
  thing
• 17:20
  is
• 17:20
  if
• 17:20
  you've
• 17:21
  got
• 17:21
  a
• 17:21
  tight
• 17:21
  space
• 17:21
  in
• 17:21
  there,
• 17:22
  making
• 17:22
  it
• 17:22
  where
• 17:22
  you
• 17:22
  can
• 17:23
  actually
• 17:23
  roll
• 17:23
  in
• 17:24
  underneath
• 17:26
  a
• 17:26
  pedestal
• 17:27
  sink
• 17:27
  or
• 17:28
  a
• 17:28
  contemporary
• 17:29
  styled
• 17:29
  sink
• 17:30
  where
• 17:30
  you've
• 17:30
  got
• 17:30
  legs
• 17:31
  that
• 17:31
  you
• 17:31
  could
• 17:31
  get
• 17:31
  underne.
• 17:33
  And
• 17:33
  if
• 17:33
  that's
• 17:33
  the
• 17:33
  case,
• 17:33
  and
• 17:34
  it's
• 17:34
  always
• 17:34
  good
• 17:34
  to
• 17:34
  go
• 17:34
  underneath
• 17:35
  there
• 17:35
  and
• 17:36
  they
• 17:36
  make
• 17:36
  this
• 17:36
  really
• 17:37
  cool
• 17:37
  padding
• 17:37
  that
• 17:37
  you
• 17:37
  could
• 17:38
  put
• 17:38
  under
• 17:38
  there
• 17:38
  so
• 17:38
  you're
• 17:38
  not
• 17:38
  hurting
• 17:39
  the
• 17:39
  pipes,
• 17:39
  you're
• 17:39
  not
• 17:39
  banging
• 17:40
  into
• 17:40
  them
• 17:40
  and
• 17:40
  you're
• 17:41
  not
• 17:41
  burning
• 17:41
  yourself.
• 17:42
  So
• 17:42
  those
• 17:43
  are
• 17:43
  two
• 17:43
  great
• 17:43
  ones
• 17:44
  right
• 17:44
  there
• 17:44
  that
• 17:45
  you
• 17:45
  can
• 17:45
  get
• 17:45
  done.
• 17:46
  And
• 17:46
  these
• 17:46
  are
• 17:47
  all
• 17:47
  really
• 17:47
  easy
• 17:47
  things
• 17:47
  you
• 17:48
  can
• 17:48
  do
• 17:48
  in
• 17:48
  the
• 17:48
  bathroom.
• 17:49
  Now
• 17:49
  the
• 17:49
  other
• 17:49
  thing
• 17:50
  is
• 17:50
  too
• 17:50
  is
• 17:50
  make
• 17:50
  sure
• 17:50
  you've
• 17:51
  got
• 17:51
  a
• 17:51
  really
• 17:51
  nice
• 17:51
  non
• 17:52
  stick
• 17:52
  floor
• 17:52
  in
• 17:52
  there.
• 17:53
  You
• 17:53
  want
• 17:53
  something
• 17:54
  that
• 17:54
  you're
• 17:54
  not
• 17:54
  going
• 17:54
  to
• 17:54
  slide
• 17:55
  right,
• 17:56
  you
• 17:56
  want
• 17:56
  that,
• 17:57
  the
• 17:57
  right
• 17:57
  surface
• 17:58
  coefficient
• 17:58
  there
• 17:59
  that
• 17:59
  you're
• 17:59
  not
• 17:59
  going
• 17:59
  to
• 18:00
  Have
• 18:00
  a
• 18:00
  wet
• 18:00
  floor
• 18:00
  and
• 18:01
  slip.
• 18:01
  So
• 18:01
  those
• 18:01
  are
• 18:02
  also
• 18:02
  great
• 18:02
  things.
• 18:02
  So
• 18:03
  polished
• 18:04
  stone,
• 18:05
  even
• 18:05
  some
• 18:05
  of
• 18:05
  the
• 18:06
  luxury
• 18:06
  vinyl
• 18:06
  planks
• 18:07
  out
• 18:07
  there,
• 18:07
  be
• 18:08
  careful
• 18:08
  with
• 18:08
  because
• 18:09
  those
• 18:09
  can
• 18:09
  be
• 18:09
  too
• 18:10
  slippery,
• 18:10
  as
• 18:11
  well
• 18:11
  as
• 18:11
  gloss
• 18:12
  tile.
• 18:12
  Those
• 18:12
  are
• 18:12
  things
• 18:12
  that
• 18:13
  I
• 18:13
  really
• 18:13
  want
• 18:13
  you
• 18:13
  to
• 18:13
  pay
• 18:13
  attention
• 18:14
  to
• 18:14
  because
• 18:15
  those
• 18:15
  can
• 18:15
  be
• 18:15
  dangerous
• 18:16
  in
• 18:16
  this
• 18:16
  atmosphere.
• 18:17
  So
• 18:18
  bathrooms
• 18:18
  are
• 18:18
  really
• 18:19
  big
• 18:19
  like
• 18:19
  that.
• 18:19
  And
• 18:20
  anytime
• 18:20
  that
• 18:21
  you
• 18:21
  can
• 18:21
  do
• 18:21
  that
• 18:22
  and
• 18:22
  get
• 18:22
  a
• 18:22
  place
• 18:22
  that
• 18:23
  you
• 18:23
  can
• 18:23
  get
• 18:23
  into.
• 18:24
  Now,
• 18:24
  if
• 18:24
  you're
• 18:24
  going
• 18:24
  to
• 18:24
  do
• 18:25
  a
• 18:25
  tub
• 18:25
  and
• 18:25
  you're
• 18:26
  a
• 18:26
  year
• 18:26
  older,
• 18:27
  sometimes
• 18:27
  those
• 18:28
  walk
• 18:28
  in
• 18:28
  bathtubs
• 18:29
  are
• 18:29
  not
• 18:29
  a
• 18:29
  bad
• 18:29
  idea.
• 18:30
  Especially
• 18:30
  if
• 18:31
  you're
• 18:31
  getting
• 18:31
  towards
• 18:32
  retirement
• 18:32
  age,
• 18:32
  something
• 18:33
  like
• 18:33
  that,
• 18:33
  and
• 18:33
  you're
• 18:33
  worried
• 18:33
  about
• 18:34
  it.
• 18:34
  But
• 18:34
  here's
• 18:35
  the
• 18:35
  trick
• 18:35
  with
• 18:35
  those.
• 18:36
  When
• 18:36
  you're
• 18:36
  getting
• 18:37
  one
• 18:37
  of
• 18:37
  those
• 18:37
  walk
• 18:38
  in
• 18:38
  tubs,
• 18:39
  let's
• 18:39
  say
• 18:39
  you're
• 18:39
  getting
• 18:39
  it
• 18:39
  for
• 18:39
  your
• 18:39
  parents,
• 18:40
  you're
• 18:40
  getting
• 18:40
  for
• 18:40
  your
• 18:40
  grandparents,
• 18:41
  whatever.
• 18:42
  And
• 18:42
  the
• 18:43
  key
• 18:43
  with
• 18:43
  those
• 18:43
  is
• 18:44
  to
• 18:44
  get
• 18:44
  the
• 18:44
  power
• 18:45
  drain.
• 18:46
  And
• 18:46
  what
• 18:46
  that
• 18:47
  does
• 18:47
  is
• 18:47
  the
• 18:47
  problem
• 18:48
  with
• 18:48
  these
• 18:48
  tubs
• 18:49
  is
• 18:49
  when
• 18:49
  you
• 18:49
  sit
• 18:49
  down
• 18:50
  in
• 18:50
  the
• 18:50
  bathtub,
• 18:51
  you've
• 18:51
  got
• 18:51
  to
• 18:52
  let
• 18:52
  all
• 18:52
  this
• 18:52
  water
• 18:52
  that's
• 18:53
  very
• 18:53
  high
• 18:54
  because
• 18:54
  they're
• 18:54
  narrow
• 18:55
  drain
• 18:55
  down
• 18:56
  so
• 18:56
  you
• 18:56
  can
• 18:56
  get
• 18:56
  out
• 18:56
  of
• 18:56
  it.
• 18:56
  Because
• 18:57
  you
• 18:57
  have
• 18:57
  to
• 18:57
  be
• 18:57
  able
• 18:57
  to
• 18:57
  open
• 18:57
  the
• 18:57
  door.
• 18:58
  The
• 18:59
  power
• 18:59
  drain
• 18:59
  makes
• 18:59
  it
• 19:00
  so
• 19:00
  you're
• 19:00
  not
• 19:00
  sitting
• 19:00
  in
• 19:01
  there
• 19:01
  freezing
• 19:02
  outside
• 19:02
  of
• 19:03
  the
• 19:03
  water
• 19:03
  all
• 19:03
  wet.
• 19:04
  And
• 19:05
  that
• 19:05
  really
• 19:05
  helps
• 19:05
  speed
• 19:06
  that
• 19:06
  up.
• 19:06
  So
• 19:06
  make
• 19:07
  sure
• 19:07
  you
• 19:07
  get
• 19:07
  the
• 19:07
  power
• 19:07
  drain
• 19:08
  option.
• 19:09
  It's
• 19:09
  a
• 19:09
  much
• 19:10
  better
• 19:10
  call
• 19:10
  when
• 19:11
  you're
• 19:11
  doing
• 19:11
  that.
• 19:11
  And
• 19:12
  it's
• 19:12
  gonna
• 19:12
  be
• 19:12
  much
• 19:12
  more
• 19:12
  comfortable.
• 19:13
  It's
• 19:13
  not
• 19:14
  that
• 19:14
  expensive.
• 19:14
  It's
• 19:15
  got
• 19:15
  a
• 19:15
  little
• 19:15
  pump
• 19:15
  and
• 19:16
  it
• 19:16
  will
• 19:16
  pump
• 19:16
  the
• 19:16
  drain
• 19:17
  the
• 19:17
  water
• 19:17
  down
• 19:17
  and
• 19:18
  not
• 19:18
  just
• 19:18
  use
• 19:18
  gravity,
• 19:19
  it'll
• 19:19
  actually
• 19:19
  pump
• 19:20
  it
• 19:20
  out,
• 19:20
  which
• 19:20
  works
• 19:20
  out
• 19:21
  really
• 19:21
  well.
• 19:22
  And
• 19:22
  that
• 19:22
  really
• 19:23
  makes
• 19:23
  for
• 19:23
  a
• 19:23
  more
• 19:23
  comfortable
• 19:24
  situation
• 19:24
  there.
• 19:25
  And
• 19:25
  then
• 19:25
  the
• 19:26
  other
• 19:26
  thing
• 19:26
  is
• 19:26
  just
• 19:26
  make
• 19:26
  sure
• 19:26
  that
• 19:27
  you've
• 19:27
  got
• 19:27
  light
• 19:27
  switches
• 19:28
  and
• 19:28
  stuff
• 19:28
  are
• 19:28
  accessible.
• 19:29
  Outlets
• 19:29
  are
• 19:30
  accessible.
• 19:31
  They're
• 19:31
  in
• 19:31
  the
• 19:31
  very
• 19:31
  far
• 19:32
  back.
• 19:32
  That's
• 19:33
  not
• 19:33
  great.
• 19:33
  And
• 19:33
  then
• 19:34
  the
• 19:34
  other
• 19:34
  one
• 19:34
  is
• 19:34
  that
• 19:35
  to
• 19:35
  make
• 19:35
  sure
• 19:35
  that
• 19:35
  you've
• 19:35
  got
• 19:36
  handles
• 19:36
  that
• 19:36
  you
• 19:37
  can
• 19:37
  operate.
• 19:38
  Now,
• 19:38
  handles
• 19:38
  you
• 19:38
  can
• 19:39
  operate
• 19:39
  means
• 19:39
  that
• 19:39
  if
• 19:40
  you
• 19:40
  can
• 19:40
  turn
• 19:40
  it
• 19:40
  on
• 19:40
  with
• 19:40
  a
• 19:41
  closed
• 19:41
  fist,
• 19:41
  you're
• 19:41
  heading
• 19:42
  the
• 19:42
  right
• 19:42
  direction.
• 19:43
  So
• 19:43
  lever
• 19:44
  handles
• 19:44
  are
• 19:44
  good
• 19:45
  where
• 19:45
  it
• 19:46
  doesn't
• 19:46
  get
• 19:46
  as
• 19:46
  great
• 19:46
  as
• 19:46
  when
• 19:47
  you
• 19:47
  have
• 19:47
  knobs
• 19:47
  and
• 19:47
  stuff
• 19:48
  that
• 19:48
  you
• 19:48
  have
• 19:48
  to
• 19:48
  turn.
• 19:49
  And
• 19:49
  if
• 19:49
  you
• 19:49
  can
• 19:50
  operate
• 19:50
  it
• 19:50
  with
• 19:50
  a
• 19:50
  closed
• 19:51
  fist,
• 19:51
  you're
• 19:51
  going
• 19:51
  to
• 19:51
  be
• 19:52
  much
• 19:52
  better
• 19:52
  off.
• 19:53
  And
• 19:53
  if
• 19:53
  you've
• 19:53
  got
• 19:53
  any
• 19:54
  kind
• 19:54
  of
• 19:54
  arthritis
• 19:55
  or
• 19:55
  things
• 19:55
  like
• 19:55
  that,
• 19:56
  these
• 19:56
  are
• 19:56
  smart
• 19:56
  things
• 19:57
  because
• 19:57
  you'll
• 19:57
  be
• 19:57
  able
• 19:57
  to
• 19:58
  handle
• 19:58
  it
• 19:58
  with
• 19:58
  a
• 19:59
  closed
• 19:59
  fist.
• 20:00
  So
• 20:00
  that's
• 20:00
  a
• 20:00
  big
• 20:00
  one
• 20:00
  right
• 20:01
  There
• 20:01
  we
• 20:01
  come
• 20:01
  back.
• 20:01
  We're
• 20:02
  going
• 20:02

• 20:02

• 20:02
  into
• 20:02
  the
• 20:03

• 20:03
  and
• 20:03
  talk
• 20:03
  about
• 20:04
  that.
• 20:04
  We'll
• 20:04
  be
• 20:04
  right
• 20:05
  back.

  we
• 23:33
  hope
• 23:33
  you

  get

  the

  out

• 23:36
  We've

  about
• 23:38
  designing

  you're

• 23:40
  or
• 23:40
  whatever
• 23:41
  or
• 23:41
  doing

  those

• 23:47
  these
• 23:47
  are
• 23:47
  really
• 23:47
  cool
• 23:48
  little
• 23:48
  tricks
• 23:48
  that
• 23:48
  I've

  over

• 23:50
  of

• 23:51
  These
• 23:52
  are
• 23:52
  projects
• 23:52
  that
• 23:52
  we've
• 23:53
  taken
• 23:53
  on
• 23:53
  and
• 23:53
  they
• 23:54
  have
• 23:54
  really
• 23:54
  been
• 23:54
  able
• 23:55
  to
• 23:55
  save
• 23:55
  people
• 23:55
  money
• 23:56
  because
• 23:56
  when
• 23:57
  you're
• 23:57
  doing
• 23:57
  a
• 23:57
  remodel,
• 23:57
  if
• 23:58
  you
• 23:58
  can
• 23:58
  do
• 23:58
  a
• 23:58
  few
• 23:58
  of
• 23:58
  these
• 23:59
  things,
• 23:59
  they're
• 23:59
  going
• 23:59
  to
• 23:59
  make
• 23:59
  it
• 24:00
  so
• 24:00
  much
• 24:00
  easier.
• 24:01
  And
• 24:02
  if
• 24:02
  you
• 24:02
  get
• 24:02
  into
• 24:02
  a
• 24:02
  situation
• 24:03
  where
• 24:03
  you
• 24:03
  get
• 24:03
  hurt,
• 24:04
  you
• 24:04
  have
• 24:04
  a
• 24:04
  medical
• 24:04
  issue
• 24:05
  or
• 24:05
  you're
• 24:05
  just
• 24:06
  getting
• 24:06
  older,
• 24:07
  we
• 24:07
  all
• 24:07
  are
• 24:07
  equally.
• 24:08
  Now
• 24:08
  here's
• 24:08
  the
• 24:09
  thing.
• 24:09
  It's
• 24:10
  a
• 24:10
  lot
• 24:10
  cheaper
• 24:10
  to
• 24:10
  do
• 24:11
  that
• 24:11
  renovation
• 24:12
  than
• 24:12
  it
• 24:12
  is
• 24:12
  to
• 24:12
  go
• 24:13
  get
• 24:13
  into
• 24:13
  an
• 24:13
  assisted
• 24:14
  living
• 24:14
  care
• 24:14
  facility.
• 24:15
  So
• 24:15
  these
• 24:16
  are
• 24:16
  all
• 24:16
  great
• 24:16
  tricks
• 24:16
  that
• 24:17
  I've
• 24:17
  got
• 24:17
  here
• 24:17
  for
• 24:17
  you.
• 24:18
  Here's
• 24:18
  the
• 24:18
  thing.
• 24:18
  We're
• 24:19
  talking
• 24:19
  kitchens
• 24:19
  now.
• 24:20
  And
• 24:20
  kitchens
• 24:20
  can
• 24:20
  be
• 24:21
  really
• 24:21
  complex
• 24:22
  and
• 24:22
  a
• 24:23
  little
• 24:23
  bit,
• 24:23
  a
• 24:23
  little
• 24:24
  bit
• 24:24
  more
• 24:24
  troublesome
• 24:24
  to
• 24:25
  design
• 24:25
  depending
• 24:25
  on
• 24:26
  what
• 24:26
  you
• 24:26
  want.
• 24:27
  Now
• 24:27
  if
• 24:28
  you're
• 24:28
  in
• 24:28
  a
• 24:28
  situation
• 24:29
  where
• 24:29
  you're
• 24:29
  already
• 24:31
  in
• 24:31
  a
• 24:31
  walker
• 24:32
  or
• 24:32
  you're
• 24:32
  already
• 24:33
  partially
• 24:33
  in
• 24:33
  a
• 24:33
  wheelchair,
• 24:34
  you
• 24:35
  can
• 24:35
  really
• 24:35
  design
• 24:36
  that
• 24:37
  for
• 24:37
  that
• 24:37
  space.
• 24:38
  And
• 24:38
  there
• 24:38
  is
• 24:38
  some
• 24:39
  great
• 24:39
  technology
• 24:40
  out
• 24:40
  there
• 24:40
  to
• 24:41
  do
• 24:41
  this.
• 24:41
  If
• 24:42
  you
• 24:42
  look
• 24:42
  out
• 24:42
  there
• 24:43
  now,
• 24:43
  there
• 24:43
  are
• 24:43
  systems
• 24:44
  that
• 24:44
  you
• 24:44
  see
• 24:45
  where
• 24:45
  you
• 24:45
  can
• 24:46
  actually
• 24:46
  hit
• 24:47
  a
• 24:47
  button
• 24:47
  and
• 24:47
  the
• 24:47
  countertop
• 24:48
  will
• 24:48
  move
• 24:49
  up
• 24:49
  and
• 24:49
  down
• 24:50
  and
• 24:50
  adjust
• 24:51
  it
• 24:51
  so
• 24:51
  you
• 24:51
  can
• 24:51
  bring
• 24:51
  it
• 24:52
  down
• 24:52
  to
• 24:52
  be
• 24:52
  able
• 24:52
  to
• 24:52
  get
• 24:53
  down
• 24:53
  to
• 24:53
  that
• 24:53
  height
• 24:53
  so
• 24:54
  you
• 24:54
  can
• 24:54
  get
• 24:54
  underneath
• 24:55
  that
• 24:55
  with
• 24:55
  a
• 24:56
  wheelchair.
• 24:57
  But
• 24:57
  let's
• 24:57
  talk
• 24:57
  about
• 24:57
  some
• 24:58
  of
• 24:58
  the
• 24:58
  things
• 24:58
  that
• 24:58
  work
• 24:58
  and
• 24:59
  some
• 24:59
  of
• 24:59
  the
• 24:59
  things
• 24:59
  that
• 24:59
  don't,
• 25:00
  that
• 25:00
  don't
• 25:00
  work
• 25:00
  when
• 25:01
  you're
• 25:01
  designing
• 25:01
  a
• 25:01
  kitchen.
• 25:02
  Let's
• 25:02
  talk
• 25:02
  appliances.
• 25:04
  I'm
• 25:04
  a
• 25:04
  fan.
• 25:05
  If
• 25:05
  you're
• 25:05
  in
• 25:05
  a,
• 25:05
  if
• 25:06
  you're
• 25:06
  in
• 25:06
  a
• 25:06
  wheelchair
• 25:07
  or
• 25:07
  if
• 25:07
  you
• 25:07
  have
• 25:08
  reduced
• 25:08
  abilities
• 25:08
  like
• 25:09
  you're
• 25:09
  in
• 25:09
  a
• 25:09
  walker
• 25:09
  or
• 25:09
  barely
• 25:10
  getting
• 25:10
  around,
• 25:11
  I'm
• 25:11
  a
• 25:11
  fan
• 25:11
  of
• 25:12
  side
• 25:12
  by
• 25:12
  side
• 25:12
  refrigerators
• 25:13
  for
• 25:13
  this
• 25:13
  because
• 25:13
  you
• 25:14
  can
• 25:14
  get
• 25:14
  in,
• 25:14
  get
• 25:14
  into
• 25:15
  both
• 25:15
  sides.
• 25:16
  The
• 25:16
  problem
• 25:16
  is
• 25:17
  that
• 25:17
  when
• 25:17
  you've
• 25:17
  got
• 25:17
  a
• 25:18
  French
• 25:18
  door
• 25:18
  refrigerator,
• 25:19
  let's
• 25:19
  say,
• 25:19
  or
• 25:19
  even
• 25:20
  a
• 25:20
  top
• 25:20
  mount
• 25:20
  with
• 25:20
  the
• 25:21
  freezer
• 25:21
  on
• 25:21
  top,
• 25:21
  refrigerator
• 25:22
  on
• 25:22
  bottom,
• 25:23
  the
• 25:23
  problem
• 25:23
  is
• 25:24
  you've
• 25:24
  got
• 25:24
  one
• 25:24
  section
• 25:25
  that's
• 25:25
  higher
• 25:25
  than
• 25:25
  the
• 25:25
  other.
• 25:26
  And
• 25:26
  I
• 25:26
  like
• 25:27
  it
• 25:27
  that
• 25:27
  you
• 25:27
  can
• 25:27
  be
• 25:27
  able
• 25:28
  to
• 25:28
  stack
• 25:28
  things
• 25:28
  in
• 25:28
  there
• 25:29
  as
• 25:29
  you
• 25:29
  need
• 25:29
  to
• 25:30
  with
• 25:30
  a
• 25:30
  side
• 25:30
  by
• 25:30
  side.
• 25:31
  A
• 25:31
  French
• 25:32
  door
• 25:32
  door
• 25:32
  is
• 25:33
  okay,
• 25:33
  but
• 25:33
  the
• 25:33
  gallon
• 25:34
  door
• 25:34
  storage
• 25:34
  is
• 25:34
  usually
• 25:35
  up
• 25:35
  higher
• 25:35
  on
• 25:35
  the
• 25:35
  top
• 25:36
  or
• 25:36
  top
• 25:36
  shelf.
• 25:37
  And
• 25:38
  that's
• 25:38
  one
• 25:38
  of
• 25:38
  those
• 25:39
  things
• 25:39
  that,
• 25:39
  that
• 25:40
  makes
• 25:40
  it
• 25:40
  harder.
• 25:41
  So
• 25:41
  you
• 25:41
  can,
• 25:41
  with
• 25:41
  a
• 25:42
  side
• 25:42
  by
• 25:42
  side,
• 25:42
  I
• 25:42
  think
• 25:42
  do
• 25:43
  better
• 25:43
  and
• 25:44
  then
• 25:44
  you
• 25:44
  can
• 25:44
  get
• 25:44
  it
• 25:44
  open
• 25:45
  where
• 25:45
  you
• 25:45
  can
• 25:45
  get
• 25:45
  into
• 25:46
  it
• 25:46
  and
• 25:46
  get
• 25:46
  into
• 25:46
  that
• 25:47
  space
• 25:47
  a
• 25:47
  little
• 25:47
  bit
• 25:47
  easier.
• 25:48
  And
• 25:49
  unless
• 25:49
  you're
• 25:50
  doing
• 25:50
  a
• 25:50
  lot
• 25:50
  of
• 25:50
  freezer
• 25:51
  stuff,
• 25:51
  you
• 25:51
  don't
• 25:52
  have
• 25:52
  to
• 25:52
  get
• 25:52
  there
• 25:52
  and
• 25:53
  struggle
• 25:54
  getting
• 25:54
  that
• 25:54
  freezer
• 25:54
  door
• 25:55
  open
• 25:55
  and
• 25:56
  get
• 25:56
  in
• 25:56
  there.
• 25:56
  And
• 25:57
  that's
• 25:57
  one
• 25:57
  of
• 25:57
  the
• 25:57
  things
• 25:57
  too
• 25:58
  is
• 25:58
  just
• 25:58
  to
• 25:58
  take
• 25:58
  a
• 25:59
  look
• 25:59
  and
• 25:59
  see
• 25:59
  how
• 25:59
  much
• 25:59
  pressure
• 26:00
  it
• 26:00
  takes
• 26:01
  to
• 26:01
  open
• 26:02
  that
• 26:03
  door,
• 26:03
  that
• 26:03
  drawer,
• 26:04
  that
• 26:04
  kind
• 26:04
  of
• 26:05
  stuff
• 26:05
  within
• 26:05
  that.
• 26:05
  And
• 26:06
  you
• 26:06
  got
• 26:06
  to
• 26:06
  be
• 26:06
  able
• 26:06
  to
• 26:06
  leave
• 26:06
  enough
• 26:07
  room
• 26:07
  there
• 26:07
  so
• 26:07
  you
• 26:08
  can
• 26:08
  sit
• 26:08
  there
• 26:08
  and
• 26:09
  be
• 26:09
  able
• 26:09
  to
• 26:09
  navigate
• 26:10
  that.
• 26:10
  So
• 26:11
  that's
• 26:11
  one
• 26:11
  of
• 26:11
  them.
• 26:11
  I
• 26:12
  am
• 26:12
  much
• 26:12
  more
• 26:12
  of
• 26:13
  a
• 26:13
  fan
• 26:13
  of
• 26:13
  an
• 26:13
  induction
• 26:14
  cooktop.
• 26:16
  So
• 26:16
  you've
• 26:16
  got
• 26:17
  something
• 26:17
  that's
• 26:18
  not
• 26:18
  getting
• 26:18
  very
• 26:18
  hot.
• 26:19
  A
• 26:19
  microwave
• 26:20
  down
• 26:21
  low
• 26:21
  in
• 26:21
  a,
• 26:21
  under
• 26:22
  a
• 26:22
  countertop
• 26:22
  in
• 26:23
  a
• 26:23
  base
• 26:23
  cabinet.
• 26:24
  I
• 26:24
  want
• 26:24
  to
• 26:25
  have
• 26:25
  a
• 26:25
  range
• 26:25
  hood,
• 26:26
  like
• 26:26
  what
• 26:26
  Zephyr
• 26:27
  makes,
• 26:27
  for
• 26:27
  instance,
• 26:27
  or
• 26:27
  some
• 26:28
  other
• 26:28
  brands
• 26:28
  where
• 26:28
  you
• 26:28
  can
• 26:29
  control
• 26:29
  it
• 26:29
  with
• 26:29
  your
• 26:30
  smartphone.
• 26:31
  Those
• 26:31
  are
• 26:32
  smart.
• 26:32
  A
• 26:32
  smart
• 26:33
  vent
• 26:33
  hood
• 26:33
  is
• 26:33
  great.
• 26:34
  Even
• 26:35
  one
• 26:35
  like
• 26:35
  Miele,
• 26:36
  where
• 26:36
  you
• 26:36
  can
• 26:36
  turn
• 26:36
  it
• 26:36
  on
• 26:36
  and
• 26:36
  then
• 26:37
  program
• 26:37
  it
• 26:37
  to
• 26:38
  turn
• 26:38
  the
• 26:38
  fan
• 26:38
  on
• 26:38
  as
• 26:39
  you
• 26:39
  start
• 26:39
  cooking.
• 26:39
  That
• 26:40
  is
• 26:40
  great.
• 26:41
  And
• 26:41
  what
• 26:42
  I
• 26:42
  want
• 26:42
  to
• 26:42
  be
• 26:42
  able
• 26:42
  to
• 26:42
  do
• 26:43
  is
• 26:43
  if
• 26:43
  you're
• 26:43
  in
• 26:43
  a
• 26:43
  wheelchair,
• 26:44
  to
• 26:44
  be
• 26:44
  able
• 26:44
  to
• 26:44
  roll
• 26:44
  in
• 26:45
  underneath
• 26:45
  that
• 26:45
  cooktop
• 26:46
  and
• 26:46
  cook
• 26:47
  so
• 26:47
  you
• 26:47
  can
• 26:47
  get
• 26:47
  in
• 26:48
  there
• 26:48
  and
• 26:48
  have
• 26:48
  access
• 26:49
  to
• 26:49
  it.
• 26:50
  Now,
• 26:50
  if
• 26:50
  you're
• 26:50
  just
• 26:51
  planning
• 26:51
  ahead,
• 26:51
  that's
• 26:51
  maybe
• 26:52
  not
• 26:52
  the
• 26:52
  case,
• 26:52
  but
• 26:53
  many
• 26:53
  times
• 26:53
  you
• 26:54
  can
• 26:54
  go
• 26:54
  in
• 26:54
  there
• 26:55
  and
• 26:55
  take
• 26:55
  that
• 26:55
  cabinet
• 26:56
  out
• 26:56
  underneath
• 26:56
  it
• 26:57
  and
• 26:57
  go
• 26:58
  in
• 26:58
  and
• 26:58
  do
• 26:58
  some
• 26:58
  stuff
• 26:59
  with
• 26:59
  it.
• 26:59
  So
• 27:00
  these
• 27:00
  are
• 27:00
  things
• 27:00
  that,
• 27:00
  and
• 27:01
  we
• 27:01
  have
• 27:01
  made
• 27:01
  cabinets
• 27:02
  in
• 27:02
  the
• 27:02
  past
• 27:02
  too,
• 27:03
  that
• 27:03
  Had,
• 27:04
  I
• 27:05
  guess
• 27:05
  the
• 27:05
  best
• 27:05
  way
• 27:05
  to
• 27:06
  explain
• 27:06
  it
• 27:06
  would
• 27:07
  be
• 27:07
  flipper
• 27:08
  door
• 27:08
  hardware
• 27:08
  that
• 27:09
  you
• 27:09
  would
• 27:09
  see
• 27:09
  on
• 27:09
  an
• 27:09
  old
• 27:09
  entertainment
• 27:10
  center
• 27:10
  where
• 27:10
  you
• 27:11
  can
• 27:11
  open
• 27:12
  the
• 27:12
  doors
• 27:12
  up
• 27:12
  and
• 27:13
  slide
• 27:13
  them
• 27:13
  back
• 27:13
  in.
• 27:14
  By
• 27:14
  doing
• 27:15
  that
• 27:15
  gives
• 27:15
  you
• 27:16
  full
• 27:16
  access
• 27:16
  underneath
• 27:17
  there.
• 27:17
  And
• 27:18
  I've
• 27:18
  done
• 27:18
  that
• 27:18
  with
• 27:18
  an
• 27:18
  attached
• 27:19
  toe
• 27:19
  kick
• 27:19
  and
• 27:19
  it
• 27:20
  works
• 27:20
  out
• 27:20
  really
• 27:20
  well
• 27:21
  and
• 27:22
  it
• 27:22
  gives
• 27:22
  you
• 27:22
  access
• 27:22
  into
• 27:23
  that.
• 27:23
  But
• 27:24
  now,
• 27:24
  here's
• 27:24
  the
• 27:24
  thing.
• 27:24
  If
• 27:25
  you're
• 27:25
  just
• 27:25
  looking
• 27:25
  to
• 27:25
  do
• 27:25
  it
• 27:26
  so
• 27:26
  you
• 27:26
  want,
• 27:26
  hey,
• 27:26
  I'm
• 27:27
  gonna.
• 27:27
  I'm
• 27:27
  gonna
• 27:27
  grow
• 27:27
  old
• 27:28
  in
• 27:28
  this
• 27:28
  place,
• 27:28
  and
• 27:28
  this
• 27:28
  is
• 27:29
  my
• 27:29
  last
• 27:29
  home,
• 27:30
  then
• 27:30
  the
• 27:31
  good
• 27:31
  thing
• 27:31
  is
• 27:31
  you
• 27:31
  can
• 27:31
  do
• 27:32
  it,
• 27:32
  is
• 27:32
  you
• 27:32
  can
• 27:32
  do
• 27:32
  a
• 27:33
  oven
• 27:33
  that's
• 27:33
  down
• 27:34
  lower,
• 27:34
  like
• 27:34
  a
• 27:34
  single
• 27:35
  oven
• 27:35
  that's
• 27:35
  underneath
• 27:36
  the
• 27:37
  countertop
• 27:37
  height,
• 27:38
  where
• 27:38
  you're
• 27:38
  down
• 27:39
  low
• 27:39
  with
• 27:39
  that.
• 27:40
  That's
• 27:40
  a
• 27:40
  cool
• 27:40
  one.
• 27:41
  They
• 27:41
  make
• 27:41
  a
• 27:42
  lot
• 27:42
  of
• 27:42
  different
• 27:42
  oven
• 27:42
  configurations
• 27:43
  depending
• 27:44
  on
• 27:44
  how
• 27:44
  you
• 27:44
  want
• 27:44
  it.
• 27:44
  You
• 27:44
  can
• 27:45
  get
• 27:45
  them
• 27:45
  that
• 27:45
  swing
• 27:45
  side
• 27:46
  by
• 27:46
  side
• 27:46
  like
• 27:46
  a
• 27:46
  microwave,
• 27:47
  or
• 27:47
  you
• 27:47
  can
• 27:47
  get
• 27:47
  them
• 27:47
  to
• 27:47
  drop
• 27:48
  down,
• 27:48
  really
• 27:49
  depending
• 27:49
  on
• 27:49
  the
• 27:49
  brand
• 27:50
  and
• 27:50
  the
• 27:50
  style
• 27:50
  of
• 27:50
  what
• 27:51
  you're
• 27:51
  looking
• 27:51
  at.
• 27:51
  Because
• 27:51
  there
• 27:51
  are
• 27:52
  some
• 27:52
  nice
• 27:52
  pro
• 27:53
  style
• 27:53
  ones
• 27:53
  out
• 27:53
  there
• 27:54
  that
• 27:54
  work
• 27:54
  well.
• 27:55
  So
• 27:55
  that's
• 27:55
  another
• 27:56
  one.
• 27:57
  Now,
• 27:57
  dishwashers,
• 27:58
  what
• 27:58
  I've
• 27:58
  done
• 27:58
  with
• 27:58
  that
• 27:59
  is
• 27:59
  it's
• 27:59
  easy.
• 27:59
  I've
• 27:59
  gone
• 28:00
  through
• 28:00
  and
• 28:00
  actually
• 28:01
  raised
• 28:02
  up
• 28:02
  the
• 28:03
  dishwasher.
• 28:04
  I
• 28:04
  did
• 28:04
  this
• 28:04
  in
• 28:05
  my
• 28:05
  mom's
• 28:05
  house
• 28:05
  and
• 28:05
  it
• 28:05
  turned
• 28:06
  out
• 28:06
  really
• 28:06
  good.
• 28:06
  I
• 28:06
  actually
• 28:06
  went
• 28:07
  through
• 28:08
  raised
• 28:08
  up
• 28:08
  that
• 28:08
  dishwasher.
• 28:10
  And
• 28:10
  by
• 28:10
  raising
• 28:10
  up
• 28:11
  that
• 28:11
  dishwasher,
• 28:12
  it
• 28:12
  made
• 28:12
  it
• 28:12
  where
• 28:12
  she
• 28:13
  could
• 28:13
  sit
• 28:13
  down
• 28:14
  in
• 28:14
  a
• 28:14
  chair
• 28:14
  and
• 28:15
  do
• 28:15
  the
• 28:15
  dishes.
• 28:16
  And
• 28:16
  so
• 28:17
  I
• 28:17
  raised
• 28:17
  that
• 28:18
  up
• 28:18
  about
• 28:18
  another
• 28:18
  six
• 28:18
  inches.
• 28:19
  And
• 28:19
  so
• 28:19
  by
• 28:19
  doing
• 28:20
  that,
• 28:21
  what
• 28:21
  it
• 28:21
  did
• 28:21
  is
• 28:21
  it
• 28:22
  gave
• 28:22
  us
• 28:22
  that
• 28:22
  access
• 28:22
  where
• 28:23
  the,
• 28:23
  when
• 28:23
  the
• 28:23
  door
• 28:23
  was
• 28:24
  down,
• 28:24
  it
• 28:24
  was
• 28:24
  not
• 28:24
  6
• 28:25
  inches
• 28:25
  off
• 28:25
  the
• 28:25
  ground,
• 28:26
  which
• 28:26
  is
• 28:26
  really
• 28:26
  tough
• 28:27
  to
• 28:27
  manage.
• 28:27
  So
• 28:27
  it
• 28:27
  brought
• 28:28
  it
• 28:28
  up
• 28:28
  so
• 28:28
  it
• 28:28
  was
• 28:28
  almost
• 28:28
  a
• 28:29
  foot
• 28:29
  off
• 28:29
  the
• 28:29
  ground,
• 28:30
  which
• 28:30
  was
• 28:30
  a
• 28:30
  game
• 28:31
  changer
• 28:31
  for
• 28:31
  this.
• 28:32
  And
• 28:32
  even
• 28:32
  better,
• 28:33
  if
• 28:33
  you
• 28:33
  do
• 28:33
  that
• 28:33
  on
• 28:34
  an
• 28:34
  island
• 28:34
  or
• 28:34
  something
• 28:34
  like
• 28:35
  that,
• 28:35
  there's
• 28:35
  a
• 28:35
  lot
• 28:35
  of
• 28:35
  things
• 28:36
  you
• 28:36
  can
• 28:36
  make
• 28:36
  that
• 28:36
  work
• 28:36
  with.
• 28:37
  It's
• 28:37
  really
• 28:37
  tricky.
• 28:39
  Now
• 28:39
  the
• 28:40
  other
• 28:40
  thing
• 28:40
  is,
• 28:40
  and
• 28:40
  that
• 28:40
  way
• 28:40
  you
• 28:41
  have
• 28:41
  a
• 28:41
  raised
• 28:41
  up
• 28:41
  area
• 28:41
  on
• 28:42
  the
• 28:42
  island.
• 28:42
  You
• 28:42
  can
• 28:42
  put
• 28:42
  plants
• 28:43
  or
• 28:43
  stuff
• 28:43
  up
• 28:44
  there
• 28:44
  and
• 28:44
  make
• 28:44
  it
• 28:44
  look
• 28:44
  really
• 28:44
  nice.
• 28:45
  Now,
• 28:45
  one
• 28:46
  of
• 28:46
  the
• 28:46
  things
• 28:46
  I
• 28:46
  want
• 28:46
  to
• 28:46
  talk
• 28:46
  about
• 28:46
  is
• 28:47
  cabinetry.
• 28:47
  And
• 28:47
  this
• 28:47
  is
• 28:48
  one
• 28:48
  of
• 28:48
  those
• 28:48
  things
• 28:48
  that
• 28:48
  can
• 28:48
  be
• 28:49
  really
• 28:49
  cool.
• 28:49
  They
• 28:49
  do
• 28:49
  make
• 28:50
  cabinetry
• 28:51
  that
• 28:51
  you
• 28:51
  can
• 28:51
  control
• 28:52
  that
• 28:52
  actually
• 28:52
  swings
• 28:53
  down
• 28:53
  or
• 28:53
  drops
• 28:54
  down
• 28:55
  so
• 28:55
  you
• 28:55
  have
• 28:55
  access
• 28:56
  to
• 28:56
  those
• 28:56
  upper
• 28:57
  cabinets.
• 28:57
  Because
• 28:57
  if
• 28:57
  you
• 28:57
  are
• 28:58
  going
• 28:58
  to
• 28:58
  be
• 28:58
  in
• 28:59
  a
• 28:59
  wheelchair
• 28:59
  or
• 29:00
  in
• 29:00
  a
• 29:00
  reduced
• 29:00
  ability
• 29:01
  situation
• 29:01
  where
• 29:01
  maybe
• 29:01
  when
• 29:02
  you're
• 29:02
  in
• 29:02
  a
• 29:02
  walker
• 29:02
  and
• 29:02
  you're
• 29:02
  bouncing
• 29:03
  between
• 29:03
  the
• 29:03
  Two
• 29:03
  of
• 29:03
  those.
• 29:04
  Sometimes
• 29:04
  it's
• 29:05
  really
• 29:05
  tough
• 29:05
  to
• 29:05
  stand
• 29:05
  up
• 29:05
  to
• 29:06
  get
• 29:06
  into
• 29:06
  that,
• 29:06
  or
• 29:06
  nearly
• 29:07
  impossible,
• 29:07
  if
• 29:08
  not
• 29:08
  impossible.
• 29:09
  So
• 29:09
  really,
• 29:09
  if
• 29:10
  you
• 29:10
  think
• 29:10
  about
• 29:10
  it,
• 29:10
  that's
• 29:11
  a
• 29:11
  really
• 29:11
  great
• 29:11
  way
• 29:11
  to
• 29:11
  go.
• 29:12
  Now,
• 29:12
  those
• 29:12
  are
• 29:13
  all
• 29:13
  things
• 29:13
  that
• 29:13
  you're
• 29:13
  gonna
• 29:13
  probably
• 29:14
  do.
• 29:14
  These
• 29:15
  aren't
• 29:15
  really
• 29:15
  great
• 29:16
  retrofit
• 29:16
  things,
• 29:17
  but
• 29:17
  they
• 29:17
  are
• 29:17
  great
• 29:17
  when
• 29:18
  you're
• 29:18
  designing
• 29:18
  a
• 29:18
  kitchen
• 29:19
  to
• 29:19
  think
• 29:20
  about
• 29:20
  those
• 29:20
  things
• 29:20
  moving
• 29:21
  forward
• 29:22
  because
• 29:22
  that's
• 29:23
  really
• 29:23
  important
• 29:23
  there,
• 29:23
  to
• 29:24
  be
• 29:24
  able
• 29:24
  to
• 29:24
  do
• 29:24
  that.
• 29:25
  And
• 29:25
  so
• 29:25
  really.
• 29:26
  And
• 29:26
  then
• 29:26
  anything
• 29:27
  that
• 29:27
  you're
• 29:27
  putting
• 29:27
  in,
• 29:27
  whether
• 29:28
  it's,
• 29:28
  I
• 29:28
  hate
• 29:28
  over
• 29:29
  the
• 29:29
  range
• 29:29
  microwaves,
• 29:30
  this
• 29:30
  is
• 29:31
  definitely
• 29:31
  not
• 29:31
  the
• 29:31
  place
• 29:31
  to
• 29:31
  put
• 29:32
  them.
• 29:32
  And
• 29:32
  then
• 29:33
  the
• 29:33
  other
• 29:33
  thing
• 29:33
  you
• 29:33
  can
• 29:33
  do
• 29:34
  here
• 29:34
  as
• 29:34
  well
• 29:34
  is
• 29:35
  have
• 29:35
  that
• 29:35
  microwave
• 29:36
  down
• 29:36
  low.
• 29:36
  If
• 29:36
  you
• 29:36
  have
• 29:36
  a
• 29:37
  steam
• 29:37
  oven,
• 29:37
  have
• 29:37
  it
• 29:37
  down
• 29:38
  low,
• 29:38
  have
• 29:38
  everything
• 29:39
  down
• 29:40
  lower
• 29:40
  so
• 29:40
  you
• 29:41
  have
• 29:41
  access.
• 29:42
  And
• 29:42
  when
• 29:42
  in
• 29:43
  doubt,
• 29:43
  just
• 29:43
  go
• 29:43
  grab
• 29:44
  a
• 29:44
  dining
• 29:44
  room
• 29:45
  chair
• 29:45
  and
• 29:45
  sit
• 29:45
  in
• 29:45
  the
• 29:45
  kitchen
• 29:46
  and
• 29:46
  say,
• 29:46
  okay,
• 29:46
  how
• 29:46
  am
• 29:47
  I
• 29:47
  going
• 29:47
  to
• 29:47
  cook
• 29:47
  with
• 29:47
  this
• 29:47
  kitchen?
• 29:48
  Because
• 29:49
  that's
• 29:49
  really
• 29:49
  what
• 29:49
  you're
• 29:49
  talking
• 29:50
  about
• 29:50
  doing.
• 29:51
  Now.
• 29:51
  If
• 29:52
  it's
• 29:52
  something
• 29:52
  that
• 29:52
  you're
• 29:52
  like,
• 29:52
  hey,
• 29:53
  I'm
• 29:53
  going
• 29:53
  to
• 29:53
  make
• 29:53
  this.
• 29:53
  So,
• 29:54
  you
• 29:54
  know,
• 29:54
  I
• 29:55
  could
• 29:55
  be,
• 29:56
  I
• 29:56
  could
• 29:56
  have
• 29:56
  some
• 29:56
  reduced
• 29:57
  abilities
• 29:57
  in
• 29:57
  10
• 29:57
  or
• 29:58
  20
• 29:58
  years.
• 29:59
  Then
• 29:59
  think
• 30:00
  about
• 30:00
  doing
• 30:00
  that
• 30:00
  cooktop
• 30:01
  with
• 30:01
  the
• 30:01
  oven
• 30:01
  that's
• 30:02
  a
• 30:02
  little
• 30:02
  bit
• 30:02
  lower
• 30:03
  and
• 30:04
  then
• 30:04
  just
• 30:04
  doing
• 30:05
  shelves
• 30:05
  above
• 30:05
  or
• 30:06
  something
• 30:06
  like
• 30:06
  that
• 30:06
  that
• 30:06
  you
• 30:07
  can
• 30:07
  keep
• 30:07
  things
• 30:07
  stored
• 30:07
  up
• 30:08
  there,
• 30:08
  but
• 30:08
  someone
• 30:08
  can
• 30:08
  help
• 30:09
  you
• 30:09
  or
• 30:09
  you
• 30:09
  can
• 30:09
  be
• 30:09
  able
• 30:09
  to
• 30:10
  go
• 30:10
  up
• 30:10
  and
• 30:10
  get
• 30:10
  it.
• 30:11
  So
• 30:11
  again,
• 30:11
  there's
• 30:12
  a
• 30:12
  lot
• 30:12
  of
• 30:12
  details
• 30:12
  to
• 30:13
  this,
• 30:13
  but
• 30:13
  a
• 30:13
  great
• 30:13
  certified
• 30:14
  kitchen
• 30:14
  designer
• 30:15
  can
• 30:15
  do
• 30:15
  that
• 30:15
  with
• 30:15
  you
• 30:16
  when
• 30:16
  you
• 30:16
  design
• 30:17
  out
• 30:17
  the
• 30:17
  kitchen.
• 30:18
  And
• 30:18
  there's
• 30:18
  a
• 30:18
  couple
• 30:19
  things
• 30:19
  out
• 30:19
  there.
• 30:19
  If
• 30:19
  you
• 30:20
  look
• 30:20
  at
• 30:20
  the
• 30:20
  certified
• 30:21
  kitchen
• 30:21
  designer,
• 30:21
  which
• 30:22
  is
• 30:22
  old,
• 30:22
  I
• 30:22
  think
• 30:22
  they're
• 30:22
  the
• 30:23
  certified
• 30:23
  kitchen
• 30:23
  appliance
• 30:24
  bath
• 30:24
  designer.
• 30:24
  Now
• 30:24
  as
• 30:24
  the
• 30:25
  new
• 30:25
  ones,
• 30:25
  they've
• 30:26
  combined
• 30:26
  and
• 30:26
  combined
• 30:27
  those
• 30:27
  together.
• 30:28
  There's
• 30:28
  a
• 30:28
  certified
• 30:29
  master
• 30:29
  kitchen,
• 30:30
  a
• 30:30
  bath
• 30:30
  designer,
• 30:31
  which
• 30:31
  is
• 30:31
  another
• 30:31
  one
• 30:32
  as
• 30:32
  well
• 30:32
  as
• 30:33
  there's
• 30:33
  people
• 30:33
  out
• 30:34
  there
• 30:34
  that
• 30:34
  are
• 30:34
  caps
• 30:35
  rated
• 30:35
  and
• 30:36
  that
• 30:36
  is
• 30:36
  a
• 30:36
  another
• 30:37
  certification
• 30:38
  for
• 30:38
  people
• 30:39
  that
• 30:39
  are
• 30:39
  designing
• 30:40
  for
• 30:40
  aging
• 30:41
  in
• 30:41
  place.
• 30:42
  So
• 30:43
  these
• 30:43
  are
• 30:43
  all
• 30:43
  things
• 30:43
  that
• 30:43
  really,
• 30:44
  when
• 30:44
  you're
• 30:45
  working
• 30:45
  on
• 30:45
  a
• 30:45
  project
• 30:45
  like
• 30:46
  this,
• 30:46
  it
• 30:46
  would
• 30:47
  not
• 30:47
  be
• 30:47
  a
• 30:47
  bad
• 30:47
  idea.
• 30:48
  I
• 30:48
  think
• 30:48
  everybody
• 30:48
  should
• 30:48
  sure
• 30:49
  take
• 30:49
  a
• 30:49
  look
• 30:49
  at
• 30:49
  that.
• 30:50
  Whether
• 30:50
  or
• 30:50
  not
• 30:50
  it's
• 30:51
  just
• 30:51
  your
• 30:51
  grandma
• 30:51
  coming
• 30:51
  to
• 30:51
  visit
• 30:52
  for
• 30:52
  two
• 30:52
  weeks
• 30:52
  and
• 30:52
  you
• 30:52
  want
• 30:53
  to
• 30:53
  be
• 30:53
  able
• 30:53
  to
• 30:53
  have
• 30:53
  access
• 30:53
  to
• 30:54
  make
• 30:54
  her
• 30:54
  more
• 30:54
  comfortable.
• 30:55
  Those
• 30:55
  are
• 30:56
  really
• 30:56
  good.
• 30:57
  And
• 30:57
  the
• 30:57
  other
• 30:57
  thing
• 30:58
  too
• 30:58
  is
• 30:58
  in
• 30:58
  a
• 30:59
  kitchen
• 30:59
  is
• 30:59
  be
• 30:59
  careful
• 30:59
  with
• 31:00
  your
• 31:00
  floors.
• 31:00
  I
• 31:01
  like
• 31:01
  to
• 31:01
  have
• 31:01
  something
• 31:01
  that's
• 31:02
  fairly
• 31:02
  non
• 31:02
  skid,
• 31:03
  so
• 31:03
  it's
• 31:04
  not
• 31:04
  too
• 31:04
  slippery.
• 31:05
  That's
• 31:06
  not
• 31:06
  where
• 31:06
  I
• 31:06
  want
• 31:06
  to
• 31:06
  See,
• 31:06
  you
• 31:07
  put
• 31:07
  in
• 31:07
  the
• 31:08
  marble
• 31:09
  floors
• 31:09
  and
• 31:09
  nor
• 31:09
  do
• 31:10
  I
• 31:10
  want
• 31:10
  to
• 31:10
  see
• 31:10
  you
• 31:10
  put
• 31:10
  in
• 31:11
  1970s
• 31:11
  kitchen
• 31:12
  carpet
• 31:12
  too,
• 31:12
  because
• 31:12
  it
• 31:13
  could
• 31:13
  be
• 31:13
  softer.
• 31:13
  It's
• 31:14
  really
• 31:14
  not.
• 31:14
  But
• 31:15
  what
• 31:15
  you
• 31:15
  want
• 31:15
  to
• 31:15
  do
• 31:15
  is
• 31:16
  be
• 31:16
  able
• 31:16
  to
• 31:16
  not
• 31:16
  have
• 31:16
  rugs
• 31:17
  in
• 31:17
  there,
• 31:18
  have
• 31:18
  your
• 31:18
  floor
• 31:18
  down,
• 31:19
  have
• 31:19
  your
• 31:19
  system
• 31:20
  there
• 31:20
  and
• 31:21
  make
• 31:21
  it
• 31:21
  so
• 31:21
  it's
• 31:21
  easily
• 31:22
  maintained
• 31:23
  and
• 31:23
  then
• 31:23
  you'll
• 31:23
  be
• 31:23
  much
• 31:24
  better
• 31:24
  off.
• 31:25
  Yeah,
• 31:25
  as
• 31:25
  you
• 31:25
  can
• 31:25
  tell,
• 31:25
  there's
• 31:26
  a
• 31:26
  lot
• 31:26
  of
• 31:26
  little
• 31:26
  details
• 31:27
  here
• 31:27
  within
• 31:27
  this
• 31:28
  space
• 31:28
  to
• 31:29
  design
• 31:29
  it
• 31:29
  out.
• 31:29
  But
• 31:29
  these
• 31:30
  are
• 31:30
  all
• 31:30
  great
• 31:30
  tips
• 31:30
  if
• 31:31
  you're
• 31:31
  really
• 31:31
  trying
• 31:31
  to
• 31:31
  make
• 31:32
  sure
• 31:32
  that
• 31:33
  you're
• 31:33
  trying
• 31:33
  to
• 31:33
  design
• 31:33
  this
• 31:34
  out
• 31:34
  correctly.
• 31:34
  Take
• 31:35
  the
• 31:35
  time,
• 31:35
  plan
• 31:35
  it
• 31:35
  out.
• 31:36
  There's
• 31:36
  a
• 31:36
  ton
• 31:37
  of
• 31:37
  new
• 31:37
  technology
• 31:37
  out
• 31:38
  there.
• 31:38
  And
• 31:39
  as
• 31:39
  well,
• 31:39
  you
• 31:39
  can
• 31:39
  have
• 31:39
  all
• 31:40
  the
• 31:40
  lights
• 31:40
  running
• 31:40
  on
• 31:40
  apps
• 31:41
  so
• 31:41
  you
• 31:41
  don't
• 31:41
  have
• 31:41
  to
• 31:41
  travel
• 31:42
  across
• 31:42
  there
• 31:43
  faucets,
• 31:43
  there's
• 31:44
  touch
• 31:44
  faucets,
• 31:44
  there's
• 31:44
  voice
• 31:45
  controlled
• 31:45
  faucets.
• 31:46
  Now
• 31:46
  there's
• 31:47
  a
• 31:47
  lot
• 31:47
  of
• 31:47
  little
• 31:47
  things
• 31:47
  like
• 31:47
  that
• 31:48
  when
• 31:48
  it
• 31:48
  comes
• 31:48
  to
• 31:48
  that.
• 31:48
  You
• 31:49
  can
• 31:49
  mount
• 31:49
  the
• 31:49
  garbage
• 31:50
  disposal.
• 31:50
  If
• 31:50
  you
• 31:50
  get
• 31:51
  one
• 31:51
  of
• 31:51
  the
• 31:51
  air
• 31:51
  buttons,
• 31:51
  you
• 31:51
  can
• 31:52
  mount
• 31:52
  that
• 31:52
  forward
• 31:52
  on
• 31:53
  the
• 31:53
  countertop
• 31:53
  so
• 31:53
  they
• 31:54
  could
• 31:54
  get
• 31:54
  at
• 31:54
  it.
• 31:55
  And
• 31:55
  again,
• 31:56
  making
• 31:56
  sure
• 31:56
  that
• 31:56
  you
• 31:57
  can
• 31:57
  control
• 31:57
  the
• 31:57
  faucet
• 31:58
  with
• 31:58
  a
• 31:58
  closed
• 31:59
  fist
• 31:59
  so
• 32:00
  you
• 32:00
  don't
• 32:00
  have
• 32:00
  to
• 32:00
  worry
• 32:00
  about
• 32:00
  a
• 32:01
  dexterity
• 32:01
  issue
• 32:02
  of
• 32:02
  your
• 32:02
  fingers.
• 32:04
  So
• 32:04
  when
• 32:04
  we
• 32:04
  come
• 32:04
  back,
• 32:05
  I've
• 32:05
  got
• 32:05
  a
• 32:05
  few
• 32:05
  more
• 32:05
  tips
• 32:06
  here
• 32:06
  for
• 32:06
  you
• 32:06
  and
• 32:07
  tricks
• 32:07
  that'll
• 32:08
  make
• 32:08
  this
• 32:08
  so
• 32:08
  much
• 32:08
  easier,
• 32:09
  including
• 32:09
  some
• 32:09
  of
• 32:09
  the
• 32:10
  things
• 32:10
  you
• 32:10
  should
• 32:10
  do
• 32:10
  in
• 32:10
  other
• 32:10
  rooms.
• 32:11
  And
• 32:11
  we'll
• 32:11
  do
• 32:11
  that
• 32:11
  just
• 32:12
  as
• 32:12
  soon
• 32:12
  as
• 32:12
  around
• 32:12
  the
• 32:13
  House
• 32:13
  returns.
• 32:13
  Don't
• 32:13
  go
• 32:14
  anywhere.
• 32:14
  Make
• 32:15
  sure
• 32:15
  you
• 32:15
  follow
• 32:15
  the
• 32:15
  around
• 32:16
  the
• 32:16
  House
• 32:16
  show
• 32:16
  on

  making
• 34:46
  sure
• 34:47
  that
• 34:47
  you're
• 34:47
  planning
• 34:47
  ahead
• 34:48
  in
• 34:48
  your

• 34:48
  to
• 34:48
  make
• 34:48
  sure
• 34:49
  that
• 34:49
  if
• 34:49
  this
• 34:49
  is
• 34:49
  a
• 34:49
  place
• 34:50
  that
• 34:50
  you're
• 34:50
  going
• 34:50
  to
• 34:50
  live
• 34:51
  forever,
• 34:52
  that
• 34:52
  You've
• 34:52
  got
• 34:52
  some
• 34:53
  options
• 34:53
  out
• 34:53
  there
• 34:53
  to
• 34:53
  make
• 34:54
  it
• 34:54
  more
• 34:54
  accessible
• 34:54
  for
• 34:55
  you
• 34:55
  or
• 34:55
  other
• 34:55
  family
• 34:56
  members
• 34:56
  or
• 34:56
  in
• 34:57
  case
• 34:57
  you
• 34:57
  have
• 34:57
  a
• 34:57
  bad
• 34:57
  accident.
• 34:58
  Things
• 34:58
  happen
• 34:59
  in
• 34:59
  life.
• 35:00
  And
• 35:00
  when
• 35:01
  you're
• 35:01
  doing
• 35:01
  remodeling
• 35:02
  projects,
• 35:02
  sometimes
• 35:03
  you
• 35:03
  can
• 35:03
  do
• 35:03
  some
• 35:03
  things
• 35:04
  that'll
• 35:04
  really
• 35:05
  pay
• 35:05
  off
• 35:05
  later
• 35:06
  on
• 35:06
  in
• 35:06
  life.
• 35:06
  Here.
• 35:07
  Oh
• 35:07
  wow,
• 35:08
  I'm
• 35:08
  happy
• 35:08
  I
• 35:08
  did
• 35:08
  that
• 35:09
  blocking
• 35:09
  in
• 35:09
  the
• 35:09
  bathroom
• 35:10
  10
• 35:10
  years
• 35:10
  ago.
• 35:11
  That's
• 35:11
  one
• 35:12
  of
• 35:12
  those
• 35:12
  things
• 35:12
  that
• 35:12
  really
• 35:12
  helps
• 35:13
  out.
• 35:14
  So
• 35:14
  those
• 35:14
  are
• 35:14
  the
• 35:14
  things
• 35:14
  that
• 35:15
  you
• 35:15
  can
• 35:15
  really
• 35:15
  do
• 35:16
  to
• 35:16
  make
• 35:17
  this
• 35:17
  worthwhile.
• 35:18
  Now
• 35:18
  one
• 35:18
  of
• 35:18
  the
• 35:19
  things
• 35:19
  that
• 35:19
  I
• 35:19
  like
• 35:19
  to
• 35:19
  do
• 35:19
  here
• 35:20
  as
• 35:20
  well
• 35:20
  is
• 35:20
  when
• 35:21
  you're
• 35:21
  designing,
• 35:21
  remodel
• 35:22
  or
• 35:22
  designing
• 35:22
  even
• 35:23
  a
• 35:23
  new
• 35:23
  home,
• 35:23
  we
• 35:23
  did
• 35:23
  this,
• 35:23
  my
• 35:24
  parents
• 35:24
  house
• 35:25
  is
• 35:25
  we
• 35:25
  put
• 35:25
  three
• 35:26
  foot
• 35:26
  doors
• 35:26
  into
• 35:27
  every
• 35:27
  room.
• 35:27
  So
• 35:27
  we
• 35:27
  have
• 35:28
  the
• 35:28
  same
• 35:28
  door
• 35:28
  size
• 35:29
  everywhere.
• 35:30
  And
• 35:30
  many
• 35:30
  times
• 35:30
  you'll
• 35:31
  see
• 35:31
  doors
• 35:31
  that
• 35:31
  are
• 35:32
  32
• 35:32
  inches,
• 35:32
  28
• 35:33
  inches.
• 35:34
  Going
• 35:34
  three
• 35:35
  foot
• 35:35
  gives
• 35:35
  you
• 35:35
  access
• 35:36
  for
• 35:36
  everybody.
• 35:37
  And
• 35:37
  that's
• 35:37
  a
• 35:38
  really
• 35:38
  good
• 35:38
  thing.
• 35:39
  Whether
• 35:39
  you're
• 35:39
  going
• 35:39
  into
• 35:39
  the
• 35:40
  bathroom,
• 35:40
  into
• 35:40
  a
• 35:40
  hall
• 35:41
  closet,
• 35:41
  whatever.
• 35:42
  Having
• 35:42
  those
• 35:42
  larger
• 35:43
  doors
• 35:43
  makes
• 35:43
  it
• 35:43
  easier
• 35:44
  to
• 35:44
  get
• 35:44
  furniture
• 35:45
  in
• 35:45
  when
• 35:45
  you're
• 35:46
  trying
• 35:46
  to
• 35:46
  move
• 35:46
  appliances
• 35:47
  around.
• 35:47
  Having
• 35:48
  good
• 35:48
  egress
• 35:49
  in
• 35:49
  and
• 35:49
  out
• 35:49
  of
• 35:49
  a
• 35:50
  room
• 35:50
  is
• 35:50
  key.
• 35:51
  So
• 35:51
  doing
• 35:51
  doors,
• 35:52
  that
• 35:52
  is
• 35:52
  a
• 35:53
  really
• 35:53
  good
• 35:53
  way
• 35:53
  to
• 35:54
  go.
• 35:54
  Now
• 35:55
  one
• 35:55
  of
• 35:55
  the
• 35:55
  things
• 35:55
  too
• 35:55
  that
• 35:56
  I
• 35:56
  like
• 35:56
  to
• 35:56
  do
• 35:56
  is
• 35:57
  also
• 35:57
  this
• 35:58
  is
• 35:58
  where
• 35:58
  we
• 35:58
  put
• 35:58
  in
• 35:58
  the
• 35:58
  smart
• 35:59
  light
• 35:59
  switches,
• 35:59
  the
• 36:00
  smart
• 36:00
  blinds,
• 36:01
  those
• 36:01
  kind
• 36:01
  of
• 36:01
  things.
• 36:02
  So
• 36:02
  you
• 36:02
  have
• 36:02
  good
• 36:03
  access
• 36:03
  to
• 36:03
  that
• 36:04
  and
• 36:04
  you
• 36:05
  can
• 36:05
  close
• 36:05
  and
• 36:05
  open
• 36:06
  blinds
• 36:07
  and
• 36:07
  do
• 36:07
  it
• 36:07
  without
• 36:08
  having
• 36:08
  to
• 36:08
  get
• 36:08
  tangled
• 36:09
  up
• 36:09
  into
• 36:09
  cords
• 36:09
  and
• 36:10
  things
• 36:10
  like
• 36:10
  that.
• 36:10
  Lutron
• 36:11
  makes
• 36:11
  a
• 36:11
  really
• 36:11
  nice
• 36:12
  one
• 36:12
  that
• 36:12
  I
• 36:12
  like.
• 36:13
  As
• 36:13
  far
• 36:13
  as
• 36:13
  smart
• 36:13
  blinds,
• 36:14
  they've
• 36:14
  got
• 36:14
  part
• 36:15
  of
• 36:15
  their
• 36:15
  casita
• 36:15
  system.
• 36:16
  It
• 36:16
  works
• 36:16
  really
• 36:17
  well.
• 36:17
  So
• 36:17
  I've
• 36:17
  been
• 36:18
  really
• 36:18
  impressed
• 36:18
  with
• 36:18
  their
• 36:18
  blind
• 36:19
  systems.
• 36:19
  They've
• 36:19
  got
• 36:19
  it
• 36:20
  dialed
• 36:20
  in.
• 36:21
  Now
• 36:21
  the
• 36:21
  other
• 36:21
  thing
• 36:21
  is
• 36:21
  to
• 36:22
  really
• 36:22
  take
• 36:22
  into
• 36:22
  account
• 36:22
  flooring.
• 36:24
  I'm
• 36:24
  not
• 36:24
  a
• 36:25
  carpet
• 36:25
  person.
• 36:26
  For
• 36:26
  most
• 36:26
  people,
• 36:27
  if
• 36:27
  they're
• 36:28
  rolling
• 36:28
  around
• 36:28
  because
• 36:28
  you
• 36:29
  have
• 36:29
  to
• 36:29
  put
• 36:29
  a
• 36:29
  lot
• 36:29
  of
• 36:29
  pressure
• 36:30
  into
• 36:30
  roll,
• 36:31
  it's
• 36:31
  really
• 36:31
  not
• 36:31
  that
• 36:32
  much
• 36:32
  softer.
• 36:32
  By
• 36:32
  the
• 36:33
  time
• 36:33
  you
• 36:33
  put
• 36:33
  a
• 36:33
  hard
• 36:33
  surface
• 36:34
  down,
• 36:34
  whether
• 36:34
  it's
• 36:34
  tile,
• 36:35
  whether
• 36:35
  it's
• 36:35
  a
• 36:36
  luxury
• 36:36
  vinyl
• 36:36
  plank
• 36:37
  or
• 36:37
  a
• 36:37
  vinyl,
• 36:38
  it's
• 36:39
  really
• 36:39
  one
• 36:39
  of
• 36:39
  those
• 36:39
  things
• 36:40
  that
• 36:40
  when
• 36:40
  you
• 36:40
  look
• 36:40
  at
• 36:40
  it,
• 36:41
  it
• 36:41
  doesn't
• 36:42
  Anytime
• 36:43
  that
• 36:43
  you
• 36:43
  do
• 36:43
  a
• 36:43
  transition
• 36:44
  between
• 36:44
  carpet
• 36:45
  and
• 36:45
  flooring,
• 36:46
  even
• 36:46
  with
• 36:47
  a
• 36:47
  no
• 36:47
  transition
• 36:48
  strip
• 36:48
  type
• 36:48
  of
• 36:48
  thing
• 36:48
  right
• 36:49
  there,
• 36:49
  where
• 36:49
  it's
• 36:49
  just
• 36:50
  a
• 36:50
  hard
• 36:50
  joint,
• 36:51
  those
• 36:51
  are
• 36:51
  things
• 36:52
  that
• 36:52
  wheels
• 36:52
  get
• 36:52
  caught
• 36:53
  up
• 36:53
  on
• 36:53
  and
• 36:53
  they're
• 36:53
  also
• 36:54
  sharp
• 36:54
  edges.
• 36:55
  So
• 36:56
  I
• 36:56
  would
• 36:56
  much
• 36:56
  rather
• 36:57
  dial
• 36:57
  the
• 36:57
  design
• 36:57
  off
• 36:58
  11
• 36:58
  and
• 36:58
  bring
• 36:58
  it
• 36:58
  back.
• 36:59
  So
• 36:59
  you
• 36:59
  have
• 37:00
  each
• 37:00
  room
• 37:00
  has
• 37:00
  a
• 37:01
  surface
• 37:01
  to
• 37:01
  it
• 37:01
  and
• 37:01
  if
• 37:01
  there's
• 37:02
  a
• 37:02
  transition
• 37:02
  chip.
• 37:03
  Okay,
• 37:03
  there's
• 37:03
  got
• 37:03
  to
• 37:03
  be
• 37:04
  sometimes,
• 37:04
  but
• 37:04
  maybe
• 37:05
  not.
• 37:05
  If
• 37:05
  you
• 37:06
  do
• 37:06
  it
• 37:06
  right
• 37:06
  and
• 37:06
  the
• 37:06
  installer
• 37:07
  knows
• 37:07
  what
• 37:07
  they're
• 37:07
  doing,
• 37:08
  really
• 37:08
  putting
• 37:08
  in
• 37:09
  that
• 37:09
  flooring
• 37:09
  and
• 37:10
  making
• 37:10
  sure.
• 37:10
  Now,
• 37:11
  the
• 37:11
  other
• 37:11
  thing
• 37:11
  too
• 37:11
  is
• 37:12
  that
• 37:12
  I
• 37:12
  really
• 37:13
  like
• 37:13
  to
• 37:13
  see
• 37:13
  more
• 37:13
  natural
• 37:14
  woods
• 37:15
  for
• 37:15
  finishes
• 37:16
  because
• 37:16
  they
• 37:16
  hide
• 37:17
  dents
• 37:17
  and
• 37:17
  dings
• 37:17
  so
• 37:18
  much
• 37:18
  better.
• 37:19
  If
• 37:19
  you
• 37:19
  put
• 37:19
  in
• 37:19
  a
• 37:19
  bright,
• 37:20
  white,
• 37:20
  beautiful
• 37:20
  kitchen
• 37:22
  with
• 37:22
  a
• 37:22
  wheelchair,
• 37:23
  just
• 37:23
  like
• 37:23
  with
• 37:23
  young
• 37:23
  kids,
• 37:24
  it's
• 37:24
  going
• 37:24
  to
• 37:25
  get
• 37:25
  beat
• 37:25
  up
• 37:26
  and
• 37:26
  it's
• 37:27
  not
• 37:27
  going
• 37:27
  to
• 37:27
  look
• 37:27
  great
• 37:27
  after
• 37:27
  a
• 37:28
  few
• 37:28
  years.
• 37:28
  And
• 37:28
  there's
• 37:28
  really
• 37:29
  not
• 37:29
  much
• 37:29
  you
• 37:29
  can
• 37:29
  do
• 37:29
  about
• 37:29
  that.
• 37:30
  So
• 37:31
  medium
• 37:32
  tone
• 37:32
  woods,
• 37:33
  those
• 37:34
  look
• 37:34
  really
• 37:34
  good
• 37:35
  because
• 37:35
  you've
• 37:35
  got
• 37:35
  the
• 37:35
  wood
• 37:36
  grain,
• 37:36
  which
• 37:36
  hides
• 37:37
  the
• 37:37
  scratches,
• 37:37
  dings
• 37:38
  and
• 37:38
  dents.
• 37:38
  And
• 37:39
  those
• 37:39
  are
• 37:39
  smart
• 37:40
  right
• 37:40
  there.
• 37:40
  Those
• 37:40
  are
• 37:41
  things
• 37:41
  that
• 37:41
  you
• 37:41
  can
• 37:41
  do
• 37:41
  to
• 37:42
  really
• 37:42
  get
• 37:42
  that
• 37:42
  taken
• 37:43
  care
• 37:43
  of.
• 37:43
  And
• 37:44
  then
• 37:44
  the
• 37:44
  other
• 37:44
  thing
• 37:44
  is
• 37:44
  too,
• 37:45
  is
• 37:45
  just
• 37:45
  making
• 37:45
  sure
• 37:46
  that
• 37:46
  you've
• 37:46
  got
• 37:47
  that
• 37:47
  house
• 37:47
  planned
• 37:48
  out
• 37:48
  as
• 37:48
  far
• 37:48
  as
• 37:49
  where
• 37:49
  the
• 37:49
  furniture
• 37:49
  is
• 37:50
  going
• 37:50
  to
• 37:50
  go,
• 37:50
  where
• 37:50
  people
• 37:50
  can
• 37:51
  assist
• 37:51
  you
• 37:51
  with,
• 37:52
  you
• 37:52
  know,
• 37:53
  and
• 37:53
  that
• 37:53
  stuff
• 37:53
  around
• 37:54
  the
• 37:54
  house.
• 37:54
  So
• 37:54
  these
• 37:55
  are
• 37:55
  all
• 37:55
  super
• 37:56
  important
• 37:56
  within
• 37:57
  that
• 37:57
  planning.
• 37:58
  And
• 37:58
  then
• 37:58
  I
• 37:59
  really
• 37:59
  want
• 37:59
  to
• 37:59
  see
• 37:59
  you
• 37:59
  put
• 37:59
  in
• 38:00
  a
• 38:00
  good,
• 38:00
  good
• 38:00
  heating
• 38:01
  and
• 38:01
  cooling
• 38:02
  system
• 38:02
  in
• 38:02
  there
• 38:02
  that
• 38:02
  can
• 38:03
  make
• 38:03
  sure
• 38:03
  that
• 38:03
  you've
• 38:04
  got
• 38:04
  it
• 38:04
  comfortable.
• 38:05
  If
• 38:05
  you've
• 38:05
  got
• 38:05
  somebody
• 38:06
  that
• 38:06
  has
• 38:06
  limited
• 38:06
  abilities
• 38:07
  and
• 38:07
  you've
• 38:07
  got
• 38:08
  the
• 38:08
  house
• 38:08
  completely
• 38:09
  out
• 38:09
  of
• 38:09
  control
• 38:09
  and
• 38:09
  temperature
• 38:10
  where
• 38:10
  it's
• 38:10
  in
• 38:10
  its
• 38:10
  90s
• 38:11
  because
• 38:11
  it's
• 38:11
  a
• 38:11
  hundred
• 38:11
  outside,
• 38:12
  that's
• 38:13
  a
• 38:13
  really
• 38:13
  bad,
• 38:13
  healthy
• 38:14
  situation
• 38:14
  that
• 38:15
  I
• 38:15
  want
• 38:15
  to
• 38:15
  make
• 38:15
  sure
• 38:15
  that
• 38:15
  we
• 38:15
  don't
• 38:16
  leave
• 38:16
  family
• 38:16
  members
• 38:16
  in.
• 38:18
  And
• 38:18
  like
• 38:18
  I
• 38:18
  said,
• 38:18
  there's
• 38:18
  a
• 38:18
  lot
• 38:19
  of
• 38:19
  little
• 38:19
  tips
• 38:19
  and
• 38:19
  tricks
• 38:20
  with
• 38:20
  this
• 38:20
  whole
• 38:20
  process,
• 38:22
  but
• 38:22
  these
• 38:22
  are
• 38:22
  all
• 38:23
  things
• 38:23
  that
• 38:24
  you
• 38:24
  can
• 38:24
  really
• 38:24
  do
• 38:25
  to
• 38:26
  make
• 38:26
  that
• 38:26
  easier
• 38:26
  to
• 38:27
  do
• 38:27
  that.
• 38:27
  And
• 38:27
  I
• 38:28
  think,
• 38:28
  honestly,
• 38:29
  a
• 38:29
  lot
• 38:29
  of
• 38:29
  these
• 38:30
  things
• 38:30
  just
• 38:30
  so
• 38:31
  that
• 38:31
  you're
• 38:31
  putting
• 38:32
  in
• 38:32
  a
• 38:32
  outlet
• 38:33
  right
• 38:33
  behind
• 38:33
  the
• 38:34
  toilet
• 38:35
  that
• 38:35
  is
• 38:36
  so
• 38:36
  key
• 38:36
  right
• 38:36
  there
• 38:37
  while
• 38:37
  you're
• 38:37
  doing
• 38:37
  the
• 38:38
  remodel.
• 38:38
  Cost
• 38:38
  you
• 38:38
  nothing
• 38:39
  that
• 38:39
  way.
• 38:39
  When
• 38:39
  you
• 38:39
  go
• 38:39
  get
• 38:39
  your
• 38:40
  Toto
• 38:40
  washlet,
• 38:40
  you
• 38:40
  can
• 38:41
  plug
• 38:41
  it
• 38:41
  in
• 38:41
  right
• 38:41
  there
• 38:41
  and
• 38:42
  you're
• 38:42
  good
• 38:42
  to
• 38:42
  go.
• 38:43
  So
• 38:43
  take
• 38:43
  some
• 38:43
  time
• 38:44
  on
• 38:44
  these
• 38:44
  things.
• 38:44
  These
• 38:44
  are
• 38:45
  really
• 38:45
  important
• 38:46
  steps
• 38:47
  that.
• 38:47
  And
• 38:47
  you
• 38:47
  don't
• 38:48
  have
• 38:48
  to
• 38:48
  do
• 38:48
  it
• 38:48
  to
• 38:48
  make
• 38:48
  it
• 38:49
  look
• 38:49
  commercial
• 38:50
  or
• 38:50
  institutional.
• 38:52
  We're
• 38:52
  trying
• 38:52
  to
• 38:52
  make
• 38:53
  it
• 38:53
  so
• 38:53
  people
• 38:53
  can
• 38:54
  stay
• 38:54
  in
• 38:54
  their
• 38:54
  home
• 38:55
  so
• 38:55
  much
• 38:55
  longer.
• 38:56
  And
• 38:56
  I
• 38:56
  think
• 38:56
  if
• 38:57
  we
• 38:57
  did
• 38:57
  this
• 38:57
  as
• 38:58
  a
• 38:58
  community
• 38:58
  in
• 38:59
  building
• 38:59
  and
• 39:00
  remodeling,
• 39:01
  and
• 39:01
  a
• 39:02
  lot
• 39:02
  of
• 39:02
  these
• 39:02
  things,
• 39:02
  quite
• 39:03
  frankly,
• 39:03
  can
• 39:03
  be
• 39:04
  done
• 39:05
  without
• 39:05
  having
• 39:05
  extra
• 39:06
  cost
• 39:06
  to
• 39:06
  the
• 39:06
  project.
• 39:07
  Like
• 39:07
  the
• 39:07
  blocking
• 39:08
  takes
• 39:08
  a
• 39:08
  guy
• 39:08
  an
• 39:09
  hour
• 39:09
  to
• 39:09
  knock
• 39:09
  that
• 39:09
  out,
• 39:10
  or
• 39:10
  a
• 39:10
  lady,
• 39:10
  they
• 39:11
  can
• 39:11
  go
• 39:11
  through
• 39:11
  and
• 39:11
  knock
• 39:11
  that
• 39:12
  blocking
• 39:12
  out
• 39:12
  and
• 39:12
  they're
• 39:13
  good
• 39:13
  to
• 39:13
  go.
• 39:14
  And
• 39:14
  then
• 39:14
  you
• 39:15
  have
• 39:15
  options
• 39:15
  down
• 39:15
  the
• 39:16
  road.
• 39:17
  So
• 39:17
  it's
• 39:17
  something
• 39:17
  that
• 39:17
  I
• 39:18
  see
• 39:18
  good
• 39:18
  builders
• 39:19
  doing
• 39:19
  down
• 39:19
  there.
• 39:20
  And
• 39:20
  if
• 39:20
  you're
• 39:20
  doing
• 39:21
  it
• 39:21
  on
• 39:21
  your
• 39:21
  own
• 39:21
  project,
• 39:21
  it's
• 39:22
  smart.
• 39:23
  It's
• 39:23
  really
• 39:24
  smart.
• 39:25
  So
• 39:26
  that
• 39:26
  really
• 39:27
  covers
• 39:27
  this
• 39:27
  whole
• 39:28
  subject
• 39:28
  here
• 39:28
  of
• 39:29
  really
• 39:29
  trying
• 39:29
  to
• 39:30
  things
• 39:30
  to
• 39:30
  consider
• 39:31
  when
• 39:31
  you're
• 39:32
  remodeling
• 39:32
  your
• 39:32
  home
• 39:33
  to
• 39:33
  make
• 39:33
  it
• 39:33
  more
• 39:34
  accessible
• 39:34
  out
• 39:35
  there
• 39:35
  and
• 39:36
  less
• 39:36
  clutter,
• 39:37
  open
• 39:37
  pathways.
• 39:38
  That
• 39:38
  is
• 39:39
  really
• 39:39
  good.
• 39:40
  Now,
• 39:40
  one
• 39:41
  thing
• 39:41
  I
• 39:41
  wanted
• 39:41
  to
• 39:41
  talk
• 39:41
  about
• 39:41
  today,
• 39:42
  I
• 39:42
  got
• 39:42
  to.
• 39:42
  We
• 39:43
  were
• 39:43
  shooting
• 39:43
  my
• 39:43
  television
• 39:44
  show
• 39:44
  and
• 39:44
  this
• 39:44
  was
• 39:44
  a
• 39:44
  lot
• 39:45
  of
• 39:45
  fun.
• 39:46
  And
• 39:47
  I
• 39:47
  had
• 39:47
  the
• 39:47
  rep,
• 39:48
  Ben,
• 39:48
  who's
• 39:49
  my
• 39:49
  regional
• 39:49
  rep
• 39:49
  for
• 39:50
  Fine,
• 39:50
  and
• 39:51
  he
• 39:51
  came
• 39:51
  in
• 39:52
  and
• 39:52
  we
• 39:52
  had
• 39:53
  such
• 39:53
  a
• 39:53
  great
• 39:53
  time
• 39:54
  today
• 39:54
  in
• 39:54
  the
• 39:54
  TV
• 39:55
  studio
• 39:56
  playing
• 39:56
  around
• 39:56
  with
• 39:56
  their
• 39:57
  new
• 39:57
  tools.
• 39:58
  And
• 39:58
  you
• 39:58
  know
• 39:58
  me,
• 39:58
  I
• 39:59
  love
• 39:59
  new
• 39:59
  tools
• 40:00
  and
• 40:00
  it
• 40:00
  makes
• 40:01
  just
• 40:01
  taking
• 40:01
  on
• 40:01
  a
• 40:02
  project
• 40:02
  so
• 40:02
  much
• 40:02
  better.
• 40:03
  And
• 40:04
  I
• 40:04
  tell
• 40:04
  you
• 40:04
  what,
• 40:04
  that
• 40:05
  is
• 40:05
  the
• 40:05
  best
• 40:06
  multi
• 40:06
  tool
• 40:07
  I
• 40:07
  have
• 40:07
  ever
• 40:08
  used.
• 40:09
  And
• 40:09
  here's
• 40:09
  for
• 40:09
  a
• 40:10
  couple
• 40:10
  reasons
• 40:10
  why.
• 40:11
  And
• 40:11
  if
• 40:12
  you've
• 40:12
  seen
• 40:12
  me
• 40:12
  on
• 40:12
  my
• 40:13
  show,
• 40:13
  I've
• 40:13
  got
• 40:13
  a
• 40:13
  lot
• 40:13
  of
• 40:13
  Milwaukee
• 40:14
  stuff.
• 40:14
  Stuff.
• 40:15
  I've
• 40:15
  got
• 40:15
  a
• 40:15
  lot
• 40:15
  of
• 40:15
  Bosch
• 40:16
  stuff.
• 40:16
  I've
• 40:17
  got
• 40:17
  some
• 40:17
  Dewalt
• 40:18
  stuff
• 40:19
  and
• 40:19
  just
• 40:19
  a
• 40:20
  tiny
• 40:20
  bit
• 40:20
  of
• 40:20
  Porter
• 40:20
  cable.
• 40:21
  But
• 40:21
  that's
• 40:21
  really
• 40:21
  the
• 40:22
  big
• 40:22
  ones
• 40:22
  that
• 40:22
  I've
• 40:22
  got
• 40:23
  right
• 40:23
  there
• 40:23
  as
• 40:23
  far
• 40:23
  as
• 40:24
  that.
• 40:24
  But
• 40:25
  boy,
• 40:25
  I
• 40:25
  tell
• 40:25
  you
• 40:26
  what,
• 40:26
  I
• 40:26
  have
• 40:26
  not
• 40:27
  used
• 40:27
  anything,
• 40:28
  of
• 40:28
  course,
• 40:28
  Saw
• 40:28
  stop
• 40:29
  on
• 40:29
  the
• 40:29
  table
• 40:29
  saw.
• 40:29
  But
• 40:30
  really,
• 40:30
  tools
• 40:31
  wise,
• 40:31
  that's
• 40:32
  my
• 40:32
  first
• 40:32
  find
• 40:32
  that
• 40:32
  I've
• 40:33
  really
• 40:33
  used.
• 40:33
  And
• 40:33
  it
• 40:33
  was
• 40:33
  a
• 40:34
  cordless
• 40:34
  and
• 40:34
  finds
• 40:35
  using
• 40:35
  those
• 40:35
  Bosch
• 40:36
  batteries,
• 40:36
  which
• 40:36
  is
• 40:36
  really
• 40:37
  great.
• 40:37
  They
• 40:37
  partnered
• 40:38
  up
• 40:38
  with
• 40:38
  them,
• 40:38
  which
• 40:38
  is
• 40:38
  great.
• 40:39
  And
• 40:40
  that
• 40:40
  is
• 40:40
  trick.
• 40:40
  But
• 40:41
  really,
• 40:41
  I
• 40:41
  tell
• 40:41
  you
• 40:42
  what,
• 40:42
  the
• 40:42
  one
• 40:42
  thing
• 40:42
  that
• 40:42
  I
• 40:43
  noticed
• 40:43
  is
• 40:43
  how
• 40:43
  smooth
• 40:45
  of
• 40:45
  cut
• 40:45
  that
• 40:46
  thing
• 40:46
  gave.
• 40:47
  Now
• 40:48
  using
• 40:48
  my
• 40:49
  Milwaukee
• 40:49
  and
• 40:49
  sorry,
• 40:50
  Milwaukee,
• 40:50
  it's
• 40:50
  a
• 40:51
  great
• 40:51
  powerful
• 40:51
  tool.
• 40:52
  But
• 40:53
  the
• 40:53
  way
• 40:54
  Fine
• 40:54
  builds,
• 40:54
  there
• 40:55
  is
• 40:55
  so
• 40:55
  much
• 40:55
  less
• 40:56
  vibration.
• 40:56
  And
• 40:57
  they
• 40:57
  designed
• 40:57
  it
• 40:57
  with
• 40:57
  this
• 40:58
  floating
• 40:58
  head
• 40:59
  that
• 40:59
  if
• 41:00
  I'm
• 41:00
  using
• 41:00
  that
• 41:01
  doing
• 41:01
  a
• 41:01
  bunch
• 41:01
  of
• 41:01
  molding
• 41:02
  cuts
• 41:02
  or
• 41:02
  cutting
• 41:02
  out
• 41:03
  cabinets
• 41:03
  for
• 41:03
  electrical
• 41:04
  outlets
• 41:04
  or
• 41:04
  whatever,
• 41:06
  man,
• 41:06
  I
• 41:06
  felt
• 41:07
  almost
• 41:07
  no
• 41:08
  vibration
• 41:09
  through
• 41:09
  that.
• 41:09
  And
• 41:10
  it
• 41:10
  was
• 41:10
  so
• 41:11
  much
• 41:11
  easier
• 41:11
  on
• 41:11
  my
• 41:11
  arms,
• 41:12
  so
• 41:12
  much
• 41:12
  easier
• 41:12
  on
• 41:12
  my
• 41:13
  hands.
• 41:14
  And
• 41:14
  I
• 41:14
  made
• 41:14
  just
• 41:15
  an
• 41:15
  absolutely
• 41:16
  beautiful
• 41:16
  smooth
• 41:17
  cut.
• 41:17
  And
• 41:18
  then
• 41:18
  I
• 41:18
  got
• 41:18
  to
• 41:18
  play
• 41:18
  with
• 41:19
  their,
• 41:19
  their
• 41:19
  dust
• 41:19
  extractors.
• 41:21
  And
• 41:21
  I
• 41:21
  tell
• 41:21
  you
• 41:21
  what,
• 41:22
  that
• 41:22
  was
• 41:22
  really
• 41:23
  cool,
• 41:23
  the
• 41:23
  dust
• 41:24
  extractors,
• 41:25
  man,
• 41:25
  those
• 41:25
  things
• 41:25
  are
• 41:26
  just
• 41:27
  finely
• 41:27
  built.
• 41:27
  And
• 41:28
  I'm
• 41:28
  not
• 41:28
  just
• 41:28
  saying
• 41:28
  that,
• 41:28
  no
• 41:29
  pun
• 41:29
  intended,
• 41:29
  but
• 41:30
  that
• 41:31
  stuff
• 41:31
  is
• 41:31
  great.
• 41:32
  And
• 41:32
  the
• 41:32
  other
• 41:32
  thing
• 41:32
  that
• 41:32
  I
• 41:33
  thought
• 41:33
  was
• 41:33
  really
• 41:33
  in.
• 41:33
  In
• 41:34
  amazing
• 41:35
  and
• 41:35
  I
• 41:35
  haven't
• 41:35
  played
• 41:35
  with
• 41:35
  their
• 41:36
  stuff
• 41:36
  that
• 41:36
  much.
• 41:37
  It's
• 41:37
  something
• 41:37
  I
• 41:37
  haven't
• 41:38
  really
• 41:38
  got
• 41:38
  to
• 41:38
  play
• 41:38
  with.
• 41:38
  I've
• 41:39
  played
• 41:39
  around
• 41:39
  with
• 41:39
  probably
• 41:40
  more
• 41:40
  festool
• 41:41
  than
• 41:41
  anything
• 41:42
  on
• 41:43
  the
• 41:43
  other
• 41:43
  kind
• 41:44
  of
• 41:44
  European
• 41:44
  brands.
• 41:45
  But
• 41:45
  I
• 41:45
  tell
• 41:45
  you
• 41:45
  what,
• 41:47
  they
• 41:47
  have
• 41:47
  a
• 41:47
  blade
• 41:48
  for
• 41:48
  every
• 41:48
  situation,
• 41:48
  which
• 41:49
  I
• 41:49
  like.
• 41:49
  And
• 41:50
  that's
• 41:50
  some
• 41:50
  of
• 41:50
  the
• 41:50
  problems
• 41:50
  that
• 41:51
  you
• 41:51
  see
• 41:51
  out
• 41:51
  there
• 41:51
  with
• 41:51
  the
• 41:51
  blades.
• 41:52
  As
• 41:52
  you
• 41:52
  see
• 41:52
  a
• 41:52
  lot
• 41:53
  of
• 41:53
  that
• 41:53
  stuff
• 41:54
  that
• 41:54
  the
• 41:55
  blades
• 41:55
  just
• 41:55
  don't
• 41:56
  do
• 41:56
  what
• 41:56
  you
• 41:56
  want
• 41:56
  them
• 41:57
  to
• 41:57
  do.
• 41:57
  And
• 41:57
  they
• 41:57
  make
• 41:57
  one.
• 41:58
  You
• 41:58
  go
• 41:58
  to
• 41:58
  the
• 41:58
  hardware
• 41:58
  store
• 41:59
  and
• 41:59
  they've
• 41:59
  got.
• 41:59
  I
• 41:59
  got
• 41:59
  a
• 41:59
  bi
• 42:00
  metal
• 42:00
  blade,
• 42:00
  I
• 42:00
  have
• 42:00
  a
• 42:00
  wood
• 42:01
  blade
• 42:01
  and
• 42:01
  I
• 42:01
  have
• 42:01
  maybe
• 42:01
  a
• 42:02
  ceramic
• 42:02
  blade.
• 42:03
  Boy,
• 42:03
  those
• 42:03
  guys
• 42:04
  have
• 42:04
  probably
• 42:04
  a
• 42:05
  hundred
• 42:05
  different
• 42:05
  blades
• 42:06
  or
• 42:06
  probably
• 42:06
  closer
• 42:07
  to
• 42:07
  200
• 42:07
  different
• 42:07
  blades
• 42:08
  that
• 42:09
  work
• 42:09
  really
• 42:09
  well
• 42:10
  for
• 42:10
  the
• 42:10
  saw.
• 42:11
  And
• 42:12
  you
• 42:12
  can
• 42:12
  cut
• 42:12
  through
• 42:12
  stuff
• 42:13
  I
• 42:13
  went
• 42:13
  through
• 42:13
  and
• 42:14
  was
• 42:14
  doing
• 42:14
  it.
• 42:14
  You'll
• 42:15
  see
• 42:15
  it
• 42:15
  on
• 42:15
  an
• 42:15
  upcoming
• 42:15
  video.
• 42:16
  But
• 42:17
  I
• 42:17
  removed
• 42:17
  grout
• 42:18
  just
• 42:18
  like
• 42:19
  it
• 42:19
  was
• 42:19
  a
• 42:19
  dream.
• 42:21
  And
• 42:21
  I
• 42:21
  tell
• 42:22
  you
• 42:22
  what,
• 42:22
  there
• 42:22
  is
• 42:22
  nothing
• 42:22
  faster
• 42:23
  than
• 42:23
  taking
• 42:23
  grout
• 42:24
  out
• 42:24
  than
• 42:24
  that
• 42:24
  tool
• 42:24
  right
• 42:25
  there.
• 42:25
  And
• 42:26
  then
• 42:26
  it
• 42:26
  had
• 42:26
  a
• 42:26
  little
• 42:27
  putty
• 42:27
  knife
• 42:27
  that
• 42:27
  went
• 42:27
  on
• 42:28
  there.
• 42:28
  And
• 42:28
  what
• 42:28
  was
• 42:29
  great
• 42:29
  was
• 42:29
  is
• 42:29
  when
• 42:29
  I
• 42:29
  was
• 42:30
  doing
• 42:30
  all
• 42:30
  this
• 42:30
  stuff
• 42:30
  I
• 42:30
  could
• 42:30
  hook
• 42:31
  the
• 42:31
  vacuum
• 42:31
  up
• 42:31
  to
• 42:31
  it.
• 42:31
  So
• 42:32
  it
• 42:32
  grabbed
• 42:32
  99
• 42:33
  of
• 42:33
  the
• 42:33
  dust
• 42:34
  coming
• 42:34
  out
• 42:34
  of
• 42:34
  it
• 42:34
  it
• 42:35
  which
• 42:35
  was
• 42:35
  pretty
• 42:36
  amazing.
• 42:36
  So
• 42:36
  that
• 42:36
  was
• 42:37
  a
• 42:37
  really
• 42:37
  clean
• 42:37
  tool
• 42:38
  to
• 42:38
  use.
• 42:39
  And
• 42:39
  the
• 42:39
  nice
• 42:39
  thing
• 42:39
  with
• 42:40
  fine,
• 42:40
  they
• 42:40
  invented
• 42:41
  the
• 42:41
  power
• 42:41
  tool.
• 42:41
  They
• 42:41
  were
• 42:41
  the
• 42:42
  first
• 42:42
  cordless
• 42:42
  drill
• 42:43
  manufacturer
• 42:45
  a
• 42:45
  century
• 42:45
  or
• 42:45
  two
• 42:46
  ago
• 42:46
  here.
• 42:46
  Those
• 42:46
  guys
• 42:47
  were
• 42:47
  all
• 42:47
  over
• 42:48
  it.
• 42:48
  And
• 42:48
  of
• 42:48
  course
• 42:49
  they
• 42:49
  were
• 42:49
  the
• 42:49
  inventor
• 42:49
  of
• 42:49
  the
• 42:50
  multi
• 42:50
  tool
• 42:50
  and
• 42:50
  they
• 42:50
  have
• 42:51
  just
• 42:51
  taken
• 42:51
  that
• 42:52
  again
• 42:52
  with
• 42:52
  their
• 42:53
  newer
• 42:53
  battery
• 42:53
  powered
• 42:54
  stuff
• 42:54
  to
• 42:54
  a
• 42:54
  new
• 42:54
  level.
• 42:55
  The
• 42:55
  other
• 42:55
  thing
• 42:55
  too
• 42:55
  is
• 42:55
  if
• 42:56
  you're
• 42:56
  a
• 42:56
  steel
• 42:56
  worker,
• 42:56
  they
• 42:57
  have
• 42:57
  gotten
• 42:57
  into
• 42:58
  not
• 42:58
  only
• 42:58
  into
• 42:59
  wood
• 42:59
  but
• 42:59
  they've
• 42:59
  got
• 42:59
  into
• 42:59
  steel.
• 43:00
  Steel.
• 43:00
  And
• 43:00
  I
• 43:00
  was
• 43:01
  playing
• 43:01
  with
• 43:01
  this
• 43:02
  magnet
• 43:02
  vise
• 43:02
  that
• 43:03
  they
• 43:03
  have
• 43:03
  today.
• 43:04
  That
• 43:04
  wow,
• 43:05
  that
• 43:06
  thing
• 43:06
  was
• 43:06
  impressive.
• 43:07
  And
• 43:08
  you
• 43:08
  could
• 43:08
  control
• 43:08
  how
• 43:09
  much
• 43:09
  adjustability
• 43:10
  you
• 43:10
  have
• 43:10
  with
• 43:10
  the
• 43:10
  magnet.
• 43:11
  So
• 43:11
  you
• 43:11
  put
• 43:11
  it
• 43:12
  on
• 43:12
  there
• 43:12
  and
• 43:12
  you
• 43:12
  set
• 43:13
  it
• 43:13
  up
• 43:13
  and
• 43:13
  you
• 43:14
  can
• 43:14
  make
• 43:14
  it
• 43:14
  so
• 43:14
  it
• 43:14
  has
• 43:14
  30%
• 43:15
  to
• 43:15
  get
• 43:15
  things
• 43:16
  dialed
• 43:16
  in
• 43:16
  where
• 43:16
  you
• 43:16
  want
• 43:16
  it
• 43:17
  on
• 43:17
  the
• 43:18
  magnet.
• 43:18
  And
• 43:18
  then
• 43:18
  when
• 43:19
  you
• 43:19
  hit
• 43:19
  full,
• 43:20
  it's
• 43:21
  got
• 43:21
  1700
• 43:22
  pound
• 43:22
  pull
• 43:23
  strength.
• 43:23
  You
• 43:23
  were
• 43:23
  not
• 43:24
  pulling
• 43:24
  it
• 43:24
  off
• 43:24
  there.
• 43:24
  I
• 43:24
  was
• 43:25
  reefing
• 43:25
  that
• 43:25
  thing
• 43:26
  and
• 43:26
  you're
• 43:27
  not
• 43:27
  going
• 43:27
  to
• 43:27
  do
• 43:27
  it.
• 43:27
  So
• 43:27
  I'm
• 43:27
  going
• 43:27
  to
• 43:27
  bring
• 43:27
  them
• 43:28
  on
• 43:28
  the
• 43:28
  show
• 43:28
  here
• 43:28
  in
• 43:28
  a
• 43:28
  future
• 43:29
  episode
• 43:29
  and
• 43:29
  talk
• 43:29
  power
• 43:30
  tools
• 43:30
  because
• 43:30
  they
• 43:30
  have
• 43:30
  so
• 43:31
  many
• 43:31
  great
• 43:31
  things
• 43:31
  going
• 43:31
  on.
• 43:32
  But
• 43:32
  I
• 43:33
  have
• 43:33
  to
• 43:33
  give
• 43:33
  them
• 43:33
  a
• 43:33
  great
• 43:34
  thank
• 43:34
  you
• 43:34
  for
• 43:34
  coming
• 43:35
  on
• 43:35
  the
• 43:35
  TV
• 43:35
  show
• 43:36
  and
• 43:36
  that'll
• 43:36
  be
• 43:36
  a
• 43:37
  great
• 43:37
  segment
• 43:38
  coming
• 43:38
  up.
• 43:38
  Well
• 43:39
  guys,
• 43:39
  we're
• 43:39
  going
• 43:39
  to
• 43:39
  do
• 43:40
  another
• 43:40
  episode
• 43:41
  here
• 43:41
  coming
• 43:41
  up
• 43:41
  for
• 43:41
  hour
• 43:41
  number
• 43:42
  two.
• 43:42
  But
• 43:42
  here's
• 43:42
  the
• 43:42
  thing.
• 43:43
  We
• 43:43
  just
• 43:44
  have
• 43:44
  that
• 43:44
  brand
• 43:44
  new
• 43:44
  number.
• 43:45
  If
• 43:45
  you
• 43:45
  have
• 43:45
  that
• 43:45
  home
• 43:45
  improvement
• 43:46
  question,
• 43:46
  are
• 43:46
  you
• 43:46
  stuck
• 43:47
  on
• 43:47
  a
• 43:47
  project?
• 43:47
  Is
• 43:48
  it
• 43:48
  something
• 43:48
  that
• 43:48
  you're
• 43:48
  stuck
• 43:49
  on
• 43:49
  and
• 43:50
  you
• 43:50
  don't
• 43:50
  know
• 43:50
  what
• 43:51
  to
• 43:51
  do,
• 43:51
  give
• 43:51
  me
• 43:51
  a
• 43:52
  call.
• 43:52
  833-239-4144.
• 43:55
  That's
• 43:55
  833-239-4144.
• 43:59
  I've
• 43:59
  also
• 43:59
  got
• 43:59
  the
• 44:00
  number
• 44:00
  up
• 44:00
  on
• 44:00
  our
• 44:00
  website
• 44:01
  which
• 44:01
  is
• 44:01
  around
• 44:01
  the
• 44:01
  house
• 44:02
  online
• 44:02
  and
• 44:02
  over
• 44:03
  going
• 44:03
  up
• 44:03
  on
• 44:03
  our
• 44:03
  socials
• 44:04
  as
• 44:04
  we
• 44:04
  speak.
• 44:05
  So
• 44:05
  that's
• 44:06
  really
• 44:06
  cool
• 44:06
  and
• 44:07
  that's
• 44:07
  one
• 44:07
  of
• 44:07
  those
• 44:07
  things
• 44:08
  that
• 44:08
  I
• 44:08
  think
• 44:08
  is
• 44:08
  really
• 44:09
  trick
• 44:10
  as
• 44:10
  far
• 44:10
  as
• 44:10
  being
• 44:10
  able
• 44:10
  to
• 44:11
  do
• 44:11
  stuff.
• 44:11
  So
• 44:11
  we've
• 44:12
  got
• 44:12
  another
• 44:12
  great
• 44:12

• 44:13
  coming
• 44:13
  up
• 44:13

• 44:13
  next.

• 44:18

• 44:19

• 44:19
  the
• 44:19
  corner.
• 44:19

• 44:20
  anywhere.
