- 0:47that's another episode of four All Nerds, the podcast where we talk about geek
- 0:54and pop culture from the perspective of people of color. Doing things a little
- 0:58bit differently this week because it is y N Captain's Chair. Tatiana Kang the
- 1:02Conqueror also known as Cuci Kajulia, Down to the Socks aka Lord of Light,
- 1:07Sabers aka Scroll Up City aka Colors, Winter Soldier Ever, Doc Aki
- 1:12Testa, Marac Thompson and the Team of the North. And this time I'm
- 1:17joined with the first what'd you call the first chair number one, the number
- 1:21one of the we talking about sorry track. Yeah, I just know it's
- 1:23making So I don't know what he's trolling. That's John Luke, but you
- 1:27know his homie that breaks bones and takes no you know, that's who he
- 1:32tells to make it. So he always tells him make it. So that's
- 1:34right, that's right. But I have the the the lovely No, I
- 1:38don't know I was lovely. It's your boy, DJ Ben. I mean
- 1:42aka, I still don't have my marvel akas in the right place. So
- 1:46lion old Richie bid fetch the legend of slapper vans de la troll ready hater
- 1:51one. Uh, that's about Charlie Brown is tossing cointy and thenjare here in
- 1:56the spaceship. Yeah, I am. It's different when you go second right,
- 2:00it does? It feels weird. Well, we are back because we
- 2:05got to talk about X Men ninety seven. We are talking about this crazy,
- 2:13this insane episode probably potentially the most important episode of this I think it's
- 2:17ten episode series, but the most important episode at least thus far, episode
- 2:23five, remember it, And I mean I'm in shambles, to be quite
- 2:28honest with you. I watched it twice back to back to make sure what
- 2:31I saw, what I think I saw was what I saw, and yeah,
- 2:37I'm down bad. What about you? Pretty much the same. I
- 2:42wasn't here last week to talk about episode four, so it was interesting to
- 2:47me one, you know, listening back to you all review of it,
- 2:51and then to one thing that like, it felt like Bo Demayo. I
- 2:55think I'm pretty sure to Mayo the person's name right, the showrunner of h
- 3:01Man ninety seven. It felt like this week they went ham on x Twitter
- 3:07in a way that I hadn't seen them do before. So it was like,
- 3:09oh, Okay, they're out there and really talking about this episode.
- 3:13And one thing that they made a point about was how this was the big
- 3:16turning point episode of the season, and I thought that was really interesting,
- 3:20coupled with the fact that last week we had this episode where it's basically about
- 3:23Jubilee learning that you can't go back again and you shouldn't want to go back
- 3:29again to the same thing over and over again. And this whole nostalgia thing,
- 3:32which a lot of people were here for X Men was because of a
- 3:36nostalgia in it, and they're like, straight up the writer's room everyone of
- 3:39all, it's like, well, that's not what we're here for, and
- 3:43this is what we're here for. We're here for turning it up. And
- 3:46Bo even talked about that how the first four episodes were a lot of the
- 3:49nostalgsi and stuff, kind of lulling you into the false sense. Even the
- 3:53EDG men are like, Okay, we're doing all right. You know,
- 3:54humans are fucking with us. You know, we're moving on. Da da
- 3:57da da da. Jenosh's coming up to be admitted into the United Nations.
- 4:00Everything's great. And then episode five, Yeah, and Bo since he since
- 4:08that was announced that he was essentially dropped again. Still don't know the official
- 4:12reason, and I don't know if he ever maybe one day, I don't
- 4:15know if he ever will speak on it. But he spoke up and like
- 4:17really, even his Twitter and all his socials has been quiet for at least
- 4:20a month, maybe a little bit more, especially the Twitter. The last
- 4:24thing he did was in March. So when he posted this, he actually
- 4:26posted like a two images that had you know that he had in some written
- 4:30things where he expressed as you mentioned the importance of episode five and the fact
- 4:34that this was his centerpiece to his pitch to Marvel back in November twenty twenty.
- 4:40So this is still like deep in the throes of pandemic. And he
- 4:44expressed how like this is, and he didn't he was in essence making that
- 4:50comparison. This is like the nine to eleven for the X Men. And
- 4:55he mentioned And the reason why I'm saying that is because within his text that
- 4:58he provided he mentioned how he grew up like he was I think he said
- 5:02he was coming into high school or college or something like that right around nine
- 5:05to eleven, and like how he was kind of in that bubble with like
- 5:11and it's just and when I say the bubble, I mean the life is
- 5:14what it is, the the the bubble of normalacy where things are the way
- 5:17they are, you know, whether whether you're happy or not, it's kind
- 5:20of besize. The point is this is life. This is how it is.
- 5:24You know, the sky is blue, the grass is green, whatever,
- 5:26and then something beyond your capacity happens that shocks and shakes and really just
- 5:34fucks up your entire worldview. And that's and he mentioned that that occurred to
- 5:39the country as a whole, that occurred to the world as a whole and
- 5:43that this that that feeling of just being torn away from that feeling of normalcy
- 5:49and that feeling of everything being quote okay, got ripped away. And this
- 5:53is what happened in this episode five of X Men, and just the level
- 5:58of like suffering and trauma that happened during the events like nine eleven. He
- 6:01also mentioned things like Tulsa. He mentioned things like COVID you know, obviously
- 6:06the pandemic itself. He even mentioned which was personal to him, post nightclub.
- 6:12Now, if y'all remember the whole post nightclub massacred that happened a few
- 6:16years back, where it was it was a safe haven for queer queerness LGBTQ,
- 6:25like it was, and it was his sacee because he said he actually
- 6:28used to go there and for that safe space, a place that you think
- 6:31that you know, that was his he liked it. That was his genosha
- 6:34in a sense, a place where you can be and you can belong because
- 6:38this is and these are you know. And that was a little bit later,
- 6:41but like before that time, like he wasn't even he hadn't even come
- 6:45out. It didn't It took after nine to eleven, that's when he came
- 6:47out. So to think that, you know, after all the strife and
- 6:50triblations you go through, you find his place where you're like, this is
- 6:54my family, is where I belong, This is where I could have fun
- 6:56and be myself, and then that's ripped from you and we they when I
- 7:03say the parallels and the mirrors to all of these different tragedies in this particular
- 7:10episode, was absolutely insane. And I purposally did not read what he wrote
- 7:13until after I'll watch this episode because I didn't want to, you know,
- 7:15cause he mentioned the spoilers. I didn't want to mess up. But like
- 7:18what he provided hits even harder. Now. Yeah, I didn't see any
- 7:23of that until after I watched the episode. The other thing that obviously is
- 7:26going on in the news right now, and I mean pretty much every day
- 7:30for the last one hundred and so years, well not one hundred yet they're
- 7:32getting there, is Palestine in Israel and the genocide that's happening on the daily.
- 7:39There is also reminiscent of the genocide that we see here in this episode.
- 7:43So it's all these real world tragedies that we can all relate to.
- 7:46And I really liked what you were saying and what he said or what they
- 7:48said about how you know, it's like the before and after these moments in
- 7:54our life. And I remember exactly where I was on nine to eleven.
- 7:58I mean I could see the Pentagon burning from my house. So that's how
- 8:01it was for me and Howard, right, Yeah, I was, I
- 8:05was, I graduated by I was living on Gerard Street, which is a
- 8:11few blocks from the highest point in DC. So I ran on the block,
- 8:15started taking pictures and all these within twenty minutes, all these news people
- 8:20started pulling up because they could all get a view of the burning of the
- 8:24Pentagon from there. And so that's my memory of nine to eleven and just
- 8:28how everything immediately changed after that, how life just became different. So I
- 8:33rad related. I mean, I obviously this episode hit on a lot of
- 8:37ways. And then for the comic book reader in me, this episode was
- 8:43like fucking holy shit. It was complete holy shit because I sat here for
- 8:48five minutes, literally five minutes. I had my hand on my head like
- 8:52what the fuck? Yeah, and this there was a shot in this episode
- 8:58and a lot of this episode comes from Grant Morrison's E for Extinction run,
- 9:03which is his first arc when he when they sorry, When Grant comes to
- 9:09New x Men and starts writing New x Men, I think this is around
- 9:13two thousand. I don't missprote me on this. I want to say like
- 9:16two thousand and two, two thousand and three when it first starts. But
- 9:20when Grant Morrison came to New x Men, they basically came on. It
- 9:22was like, we're just gonna do everything different because for a long time,
- 9:26it's for most of the things that we know about X Men, as we've
- 9:30discussed before, it's written by Chris Claremont, with some help from Louise Simmonson,
- 9:33but mainly Chris Claremont and Chris basically created everything we know about Esmond and
- 9:39then when he left in like ninety two ninety three, for like ten years
- 9:43until Grant comes on, it's just trying to stayed in a holding pattern where
- 9:46people just kept doing the same thing over and over again, little change a
- 9:50little that things are that nature. Grant comes on and in his in their
- 9:54second issue, they have a giant Mega sentinel. Three of them actually attack
- 10:00Genosha and kill out sixteen million mutants within like how many? How many?
- 10:05What was the population of oh, oh, that's the majority. It was
- 10:09like seven it was like sixteen points something. So so it was like twenty
- 10:13million maybe living there. No no, no, no, no, no,
- 10:16like maybe sixteen points something living there. Ninety eight percent of the population
- 10:20of Genosha's wiped out. And in the comics, as people have been talking
- 10:24about it, barely even happens on panel. There's a panel of the first
- 10:30Sentinel hitting a tower which was very very miscent obviously at the World Trade Center,
- 10:33and Magneto was in that tower at the time. And then there's that
- 10:37shot that we see in the cartoon of this giant Sentinel overhead of just Genosha
- 10:45and Professor X is just like with Cerebro and he's just seeing the depths,
- 10:50you know, the mutants just being wiped out. And that was the issue
- 10:54feeling it, So that was it wasn't even shown the way it was shown
- 10:58in this episode where it's up close and personal. There are so many name
- 11:03mutants who I you know, characters that I grew up loving, who a
- 11:05lot of people grow up loving get knocked off one after the other. So
- 11:11this is a lot more intense and a lot more personal the way they did
- 11:13this storyline, even though it was somewhat condemned from the comics, but as
- 11:18we see this done to carry on and on, and then the other brilliance
- 11:22of this episode is that the fact that they combined the idea of what happened
- 11:28in Genosha in the comics with also what's going on with KRKOA right now,
- 11:31and like really subtly put elements of CORCOA, such as the Council, such
- 11:37as like the fact that mutants are establishing their own culture, their own art,
- 11:43their own identity without the yoke of oppression being upon them. All of
- 11:48that is coming up in this episode. So it was really I mean just
- 11:52I've it's been hats off and that's a those week got to talk about because
- 11:54like I said, I saw Bowl on Twitter this week, really like yo,
- 11:58you know we did this, and then some people are like yo,
- 12:01they're given all the credit to this person and not really remembering that this is
- 12:05a whole team. And so I really want to make sure that we remember
- 12:07that, like there's a whole writers room, there's a whole animation staff,
- 12:13there's all kinds of people that came together to make this season. In this
- 12:16episode what it was, and it was some fucking excellent. So you know,
- 12:20it hats off to everyone because, like I say, the way they
- 12:24did this ether extinction stuff, which I highly recommend everyone to read Grant Morrison's
- 12:30new X Men run, it's to me, it's the Chris Claremont run is
- 12:33obviously where it all starts, and then it's Hickman with House of X powers
- 12:37ves, and then it's Grant Morrison for like the greatest you know, or
- 12:41like the most influential and just some of the most exciting, I won't say
- 12:46the greatest, some of the most exciting, some of the more revolutionary ideas
- 12:50that came through X Men, and for them to combine for CooA, which
- 12:54I was really hoping they would do in some form or fashion. And I
- 12:56think we'll still see more that the know on. We already got three seas
- 13:00of this show coming, so facts, but just to get those elements with
- 13:03the Council, which I'm sure we'll see again, which could be you know,
- 13:07combined in the Corca later, the whole Morrior matagger. Why is this
- 13:11human on the council? For everyone who's red House of X We're all sitting
- 13:15there like yo, but she ain't a human, you know, so all
- 13:18this stuff, all this subtleness, and then we haven't even gotten into the
- 13:22real meat of this episode, which is just you know what, yeah,
- 13:24yeah, fast a great trend that makes in the mix. It's so smart
- 13:30that we've been seeing from a lot of animation, like the good animation period,
- 13:33like we talked about this, we talked about Invincible and other shows.
- 13:35Is taking those panels where things may happen only on a couple of panels,
- 13:39what things are expounded upon, and because you're in the medium of animation,
- 13:43you're able to literally breathe life and give more dimension and in the cases many
- 13:48cases give it more story that was actually than was actually covered from the books.
- 13:54So me seeing that level of animation and chaos, like especially that overheadshot
- 13:58you mentioned of like what I'm calling the Godzilla Sentinel or the Beatle Gozilla Sentinel,
- 14:03whatever the fuck that was that straight gave me. Evangelian. I was
- 14:07like, yes, if anybody watches anime or no or even knows that name,
- 14:11when we're talking about extinction level event, when we're talking about you know,
- 14:18some bust the rhymes shout out to him, you know, some Eli
- 14:20types, Like we're talking about unfathomable, beyond kayju type shit going on where
- 14:28there is no fucking escape, and then for you to explain that, at
- 14:31least in the books, we're talking about ninety eight percent of the fucking population,
- 14:35Like there's no way, There's no way. And that's partly because why
- 14:39I have my hands on my head. I was watching this is the last
- 14:41fifteen minutes of this where I was just like, this ain't fucking happening,
- 14:46like they George R And Martin and me right now, Oh my fucking god,
- 14:50are you serious? You know what I'm saying. First thing, they
- 14:54took my nigger reb. I mean, we can't even get to remy is.
- 15:00They took a lot of niggas before they took Ri. I'm talking about
- 15:03personally. Okay, we're talking about what personally? Does everybody dying? That's
- 15:07fucked up? Why don't want to take my niggah? Why? Lord?
- 15:13Right? Not him? Not you? Not like this, not like this,
- 15:22not like this. But but but but I will say, listen,
- 15:26yes, that there was other major major implications that happened. Right, I
- 15:31don't even know where to start. Well, no, I mean we can
- 15:35start ref me because that was you know, the crux of the episode.
- 15:39And as we talk about that, you know, Anime, Evan Jillian and
- 15:43I will not pronounce the right like feel of it all. There were so
- 15:48many moments, like the initial attack because you had this music playing, you
- 15:52had this nice gala everything going on, and then it's like like the sound
- 15:56design people have been in the last minutes, it's just insane. And then
- 16:02this like that, you know, that rush of sound like talking like a
- 16:04scratching record, and all kinds of other things going on. But then the
- 16:07silences, like the silence when Magneto is about to hit the thing with the
- 16:11train, the sound of sadly the adambit, you know, getting it in
- 16:19the middle of his spiel. That rang in my head and I wasn't I
- 16:23was just watching a regular TV. I went like this, like as if
- 16:26to throw off my headphones that I'm not wearing. I was like, I
- 16:30didn't want to hear that. I'm so happy you mentioned this sound design because
- 16:33there were so many effects that and they didn't turn up the volume as far
- 16:38as I could tell. It's just like I was so intently tuned to what
- 16:42was happening, and everything bothered me. I felt and heard everything so when
- 16:48that shit happened, I just I was like no, like like it.
- 16:55It's that level of disbelief. And also like when the attack first happens that
- 16:57you mentioned just that, and it's used a lot in different films too,
- 17:02like that atomic blast that happens where it's just like the world just it's just
- 17:07light and fire. The world just rushes by, right and it is fucking
- 17:11clipped for everybody, and to see like how role and everybody knows, like
- 17:15you know who Rogan is, her power and how strong she is. To
- 17:18see her just being whipped through the air chaos, destruction just breathe niggas like
- 17:27everything like and it's like, I mean, there's so many little moments like
- 17:34BoA's talking about someone else tweeted that Gambit dies in this episode, thinking that
- 17:40Rogue has chose Magneto over him. You know, he storms out of the
- 17:44room before he gets to see her reject madness. But even in that right
- 17:51as they're attacking is he's riding up on the bike and he knows Rogue's coming
- 17:55up behind him to smile on his face as he's riding on the bike.
- 17:57As Rode flies by his side, he knows she's super strong. He knows
- 18:03she's the ulnerable, he knows she gonna come right through that sentol that he
- 18:06left bye for her, and just that slight little smirk on his face.
- 18:11Yes, so made. That's a good man, Savannah. And that's the
- 18:15thing. Like, as people know, I grew up hating on Gambit,
- 18:18I grew up loving Rogue. Rogue was my life everything. I thought she
- 18:22was the greatest character ever. I was fully in love with her. So
- 18:25when they introduced Rogue, I mean Gambit, I was like, who the
- 18:27fuck is this Negro? And why is he trying to get with my Ambit?
- 18:30Yeah, always fuck him anyway. But I've come around to Gambit in
- 18:37modern era and like, I really love Rogue and Gambit together. And even
- 18:41in a recent X Men issue in House of X and as a as Fall
- 18:45of X as it's all coming to a close, they jump to the future
- 18:48once again and Gambit and Mystique are trying to do something to save the world,
- 18:52save the X Men as always, and Gambit sacrifices himself in a manner
- 18:57similar to this episode to save Mystique so that she can get away, and
- 19:03right before he does it, she tells them, you know, I always
- 19:06treated you like shit because I love Rogue and that's my daughter. But in
- 19:10the end, you were a good man and you were a good husband to
- 19:12her, and it was one of them. Yeah, And it's one of
- 19:15the moments that just, you know, crush me. And so then for
- 19:19this to happen again within the space of like two months, I see my
- 19:23nigga again bit take bad ones to save the woman he loved and save and
- 19:30save everyone he can, right like he you know him, him and magnetoteenough
- 19:33to to save what they could. And and again how this show displays the
- 19:38power sets and the things that you didn't think that these people could do with
- 19:41their powers and the end and it makes but it still makes sense, like
- 19:47it's not a questionable. Oh I've never seen him do that before. It's
- 19:49just like, you know what, why not? Why couldn't that have happened
- 19:52for him to be able to do all that power transference onto that fucking evangelian
- 19:59angel type nigga? Like that shit was insane to me. That shit was
- 20:02in saying like I ain't never seen no shit like that from like he's always
- 20:04been powerful by personally because I didn't read the books, I ain't never seen
- 20:07no shit like that from him. Oh well, gambit has definitely started,
- 20:11you know, like I say in his death in the commentary, something in
- 20:14the future, at least he did something similar to this. And he's definitely
- 20:18you know, charged up all kinds of different things in the comedy, Yeah,
- 20:22to do what he has to do, throwing, he was charging up
- 20:25his fucking silk scarf. He was charging up this fucking speed racist you know
- 20:29most cycles, like he's going crazy on this. And you mentioned about your
- 20:33heartbreak. My my other heartbreak was when Rogue was holding his body, his
- 20:38charred body, just saying I can't feel you. I I lost it.
- 20:44I done slid out my damn chair, like why Lord again like you would
- 20:48have thought. I was at his funeral crying over his cask and my damn
- 20:52self. I was just like, this isn't happening right now out And then
- 20:57you bought that point, the fact that he died, thinking that she already
- 21:00picked Magneto m h. And that really hurt because that's how I'm saying as
- 21:07I'm sitting and watching house, like oh she's touching his skin, yeah no,
- 21:11and oh she can finally touch him because because he's dead, and yeah,
- 21:17that that definitely broke my heart. It was that that whole Like I
- 21:22said, it was that slight smirk as he's riding alongside her on the bike
- 21:26that really, really, you know, just ruined me like that that ruined
- 21:33me. But there was, like, there's so much in this episode you
- 21:37saw that love for There was one thing he had mentioned that was also really
- 21:41critical to all of this was when he said, you know, it's just
- 21:45a type of woman who like and I'm paraphrasing, but he was like,
- 21:47this is the type of woman who likes. It doesn't matter if she rejects
- 21:49you. Just the fact that she she was like fucking with you basically like
- 21:53is enough. And the fact that he wants to see her happy no matter
- 21:57if she chooses someone else. Is what he said. You know, that's
- 22:00also what he was saying in that no he is and you know, to
- 22:06me, like I said, I grew up like it was something. You
- 22:07know, it's like, you know, being a big brother and somebody come
- 22:10in trying to date your little sister. How I felt when they first introduced
- 22:12dam because I was like, no, Rogue is the greatest woman alive and
- 22:17no one deserves her. You know, and so this is has also been
- 22:21a long time favorite. All right, the other ship that fucked me up
- 22:25as you call him, Zaddy Zaddy Magneto, Why why are you taking him
- 22:30toe? Why you took him to Jerus? There there, I don't have
- 22:41the words, fam like Magneto has just like Rogue has always been one of
- 22:48my favorite characters. I mean, just so many moments even up to right
- 22:55now. Shout out to al Ewing writing the Resurrection of Magneto and the whole
- 23:00X Men Red series where like when you talk about power sets, Magnito at
- 23:04one point powers his own heart with the power of his electric magnetism, Like
- 23:10when his heart gets torn out of its chest, he makes a heart for
- 23:14himself, nigga. So that's like, this is the Magneto And like we
- 23:23saw this Magnito like whipping and talk about that. Something else Bowl talked about
- 23:29was you know, him using that a whip in a Tulsa massacre type moment
- 23:33with a choice. Yeah, yeah, that was a choice you know,
- 23:38and just to see because I mean, way back in the day when Brant
- 23:44Morrison was the first person to introduce that, Like we talked about the idea
- 23:47of Magnito is right. That comes from his run. Is kids wearing T
- 23:52shirts in the comics, you know, young mutants growing up being like Magnito
- 23:56was right, and they're wearing T shirts because it's from that idea, right,
- 24:00I don't care. I'm team Magneto. Yeah, well, debatable,
- 24:03especially if you if you're if you're a Comet fan that you know you have
- 24:07to you have to take all Man's actions. He'd be doing some fucked up
- 24:11ship. Yeah, like you know, but he comes from fucked up ship.
- 24:15And that's something that I've I've talked about recently, even in real life,
- 24:19like you know, when it comes to people such as Palestine and Israel,
- 24:22people are like criticizing the actions that a hamastates. People criticize the actions
- 24:27that oppressed people take. But I brought up somewhere recently. I said,
- 24:30all right, when Nat Turner killed a bunch of slave owners, you know
- 24:37that it was a massacre, and a massacred a bunch of people. Was
- 24:41he wrong? No? You know, So that's the thing when an oppressed
- 24:45person takes an action against their oppressor. Sure, sometimes it's don't be harsh,
- 24:52but what are you doing to deserve that? And I know how you
- 24:56made the the parallel to Tulsa, mask to Tulsa, but I took that
- 25:00the whole whip about, like the more literal about the fact that sentadels are
- 25:04made to essentially enslave mutants. And now you have the reverse happening where it's
- 25:10just like using and again using that tool of enslavement to to to try to
- 25:15fight back this this thing, this entity, which is insane. This ship
- 25:21was sad in some of the and again my favorite, Sludy Magneto is my
- 25:25favorite. I got to say that Sloody Magneto when again with the tear,
- 25:30when he did that ship before, he did that ship after his his when
- 25:34he took them niggas up to the fucking fifth dimension in the sky and had
- 25:37that one loan tier for them niggas, and then he did it again.
- 25:41He did it again back during his trial, and then he did it again
- 25:45here with the with the tears, when he was just seeing all the all
- 25:48the destruction and the dream die, like he's watched the dream die in front
- 25:52of him. And that's some cold ship, just just in life, to
- 25:56see something you've worked so hard for or pushed for or agree to in theory,
- 26:02but then you see it working and you see niggas happy and then the
- 26:07getting taken. It's crazy, Like I said, how well does dovetails and
- 26:11parallels with Magneto's arc that is happening right now in the X Men comics with
- 26:18Krakoa falling apart and him seeing the dream of Krakoa dying. It is damn
- 26:22near the same story and bo the showrunners like we started on this four years
- 26:27ago. Yeah, so it's like this just before that, right, It's
- 26:33like people, you know, it's that goes back to the idea of there's
- 26:36a lot of parallel ideas, we're all drawing from the same source. And
- 26:40it's also people just recognizing this is where Magnito's character is at this point in
- 26:44time, and if something like this happens to him, how would he react?
- 26:48And so it's both of these great you know, teams of writers,
- 26:52the Hickman team along with the team over that's been ninety seven, both coming
- 26:56to the same conclusion. And there's even like little moments that I just tweeted
- 27:02about this one because this one, once again is how these things are paralleling.
- 27:04The comments that are fucking killing me recently Magneto died. In the comics,
- 27:10they're now going through the resurrection or Magneto, because if you're reading House
- 27:14of X, you know the X Men were dying left and right cause they
- 27:17conquered death, they had resurrection. Magneto chose to not be resurrected whenever he
- 27:22died, So when he died, that was it for him for about I
- 27:25think he was dead for about two years in real time. You know,
- 27:26all these comics, he's been dead for the last year and a half,
- 27:30the lease, so whatever. So when he died, it was a big
- 27:33thing, right and Professor X was grieving over him, and he was talking
- 27:37to Storm, who'd grown really close to Magnito over the years, and especially
- 27:41over the last few years of Kakoa. They'd grown really close while Professor S
- 27:45and Magnito grown a park. So Professor X is like calling him and he
- 27:48at one point he says Magnus and Storm corrects him and it's like Eric,
- 27:53Eric, you know, and he's like, yo, I know, I
- 27:56know, he gon back to being called Eric, but I didn't know that
- 28:00man, you know. And he's like, you knew him, and that
- 28:03was his great regret. I never got to know Eric. And so in
- 28:07this episode, at one point, I think during the council or something,
- 28:11they refer to Magneto as Magnus and I'm like, oh, cool, you
- 28:14know, madness. And then when Rowe sees what's going on with him in
- 28:18the battle and spreams out Eric, I fucking lost it, because, like
- 28:26I say, it relates back to this comic where Manito has been going through
- 28:30this great journey to become Eric, to go back to being the you know,
- 28:33the man that he should be, and then to see the same thing
- 28:37parallel in this where the woman who loves him knows him by his birth name,
- 28:42Eric Leschner, where that's you know, who he goes back to in
- 28:48his raw moments, even when he's speaking the fucking leech and he's speaking in
- 28:53German, in German because that's his native language, and that's what people do
- 28:59in times of stressed, as they go back to this native language, their
- 29:03history, the roots. And he says, don't be afraid in German,
- 29:07and then rogue streaming out Eric. It's just it's too much. It's too
- 29:11much, too much, it's too much. I mean, it's too much
- 29:14in a great way, but it's too much, Like y'all, y'all are
- 29:17really trying to get me emo on this and y'all won, but y'all really
- 29:21trying to get me email. You're trying y'all did, and that also I
- 29:25even connected that even like a few, like a few moments earlier, a
- 29:29few frames earlier, when Leech was like Magneto told me, as long as
- 29:33he's here, I'll never have to be afraid again. And I'm just like
- 29:37the baby too. Standing that's to leads the woman who says the Morlocks are
- 29:42no friends of Ed's. This character Tommy, right, Tommy was introduced in
- 29:49one issue of The X Men just kick off the sting that is known as
- 29:52the Mute and Massacre, which was another thing that this episode kind of draws
- 29:56into. The Mute Massacre was all the morelocks for living underneath the streets of
- 30:00Manhattan, and there was hundreds of them, you know, living under Manhattan.
- 30:04They're all mutants living underground. And his team of some mutants some whatever
- 30:08called the Marauders comes through and just slaughters these niggas over two or three issues,
- 30:15and in doing so catches a bunch of the EDS Men. Colossus that's
- 30:18made Night Caller gets ruined, I'm beat, I mean angel. That's when
- 30:26the angel gets his wings torn off, which leads to him becoming an archangel.
- 30:30A lot of hell of shit happens over these issues, but it all
- 30:33kicks off with this introduction of this character Tommy, and Tommy is dating this
- 30:37Shield agent and we don't know any of this at the time. The beginning
- 30:41of the issue, there on the run and we don't know why, what.
- 30:44And then the dude she's dating this, No, he's a Hellfire Club
- 30:45agent, you know, this norm human. He gets attacked, killed,
- 30:49Tommy leaves him, runs off trying to get home to more locked tunnel.
- 30:55At the end of the issue, she gets caught by the marauders and gets
- 30:56killed. So Tommy is in this for maybe four or five six pages and
- 31:02most and she's just an unforgettable introduction and it's one of those characters that she
- 31:07was. She wasn't used again until parcole when she got resurrected in Crocolea,
- 31:11so like for twenty plus years in common in real time, she was gone,
- 31:15but just out of those six pages. So many people to this day
- 31:18are huge fans and loved Tommy Duff because it was one of the harshest introductions
- 31:23to a character, but it just hits you so hard. So for her
- 31:26to show up and be in here like oh, you know, that's been
- 31:30enough friend of Morlobs. It's like nigga, shit's about to go bad.
- 31:36But then Remy come through the ship with his staff like by like, and
- 31:38you think it's all good man. No, No, At that moment,
- 31:42I was like, oh, look at Remy, always fly, always on
- 31:45top of things. That shit looked good. And then five minutes later he
- 31:49looked good with his smooth criminals, smooth criminal with the suer looking smooth boy.
- 31:56I mean, and even Bos talking about that, like did everyone was
- 31:57talking about the taint top in the early episode. They're like, all of
- 32:00that was done to lead up to this so that you would fall in love
- 32:05more and more. Damnit. If you weren't already in love with Gambit,
- 32:07you're gonna be fully in love with him. Don't see how you can't love
- 32:09him like he has I know, well you didn't, but he has he
- 32:13has a he's to me, he's always had a true spirit and I always
- 32:17fucked with him like it just seemed genuine from Jump Street and and perhaps because
- 32:22he's a he's a man of a bayou, and all the other stuff,
- 32:24like all of that culminated, and that his powers and all that stuff.
- 32:29Yes, but as a person, all of that culminated somebody that I felt
- 32:31like I could trust. He was funny. Yes, he's a scoundrel.
- 32:35He was doing he was doing wild shit. But it was like forgivable wild
- 32:38shit. It was for me. It was never like, oh, that's
- 32:40a bridge too far. It was like, Eh, that's just n me.
- 32:44That's just what he be doing. And that's so funny because when Gambit
- 32:47was introduced in the comics, this other mystery in fact Bishop, when Bishop
- 32:52comes back from the future, Bishop sees Dambit and it's like, Nigga,
- 32:57you're the great betrayer and tries to kill him and me because he says,
- 33:00you're this nigga who eventually will betray the X Men. And that mystery got
- 33:06resolved. I can't remember how, but for a long time, like they
- 33:08showed you to say that was him, it was they showed a nigg in
- 33:13the future who was talking with that same French talk who betrayed the X No,
- 33:17that was that was Bambit. That wasn't that wasn't. That was Bambit.
- 33:21That was that was that nigga cousin. That was not him. He
- 33:23was not there. That ship is hilarious because that's straight how he was introduced,
- 33:28like he was always introduced as this mystery man who made betray the X
- 33:31Men at some point. This is what happens when you don't you don't have
- 33:37presence of mind on how to read people and stuff that you always think the
- 33:40niggas that look crazy that they about to do something, they're your best friends,
- 33:44nigga. Well they showed him doing something. It wasn't just like,
- 33:46you know, no, that was Bambit. But eventually Bishop betrayed. You
- 33:51know, all these niggas betrayed. So everyone does something yo, So oh
- 33:57wait, let let's talk about that, talk about you know, coming from
- 34:00the future and everybody doing something. In this episode, we also have Cable
- 34:04coming back and Cable Now. Cable has been on the show before, in
- 34:07the original X Men series, which if you haven't watched, you know it's
- 34:12on Disney Plus and I advise at least watching some of it. Bishop.
- 34:16All these people have been on the original and a lot of these storylines are
- 34:20gonna tie back to them, like, who is behind this big attack?
- 34:22Might tie back to the original series. I'll get into that in a second.
- 34:25But Cable is from the future. Cable is also this is I guess
- 34:32this is a fucking spoiler in some way for a fifty year old, forty
- 34:36year old comic. Cable is the little baby boy who got Sense of the
- 34:38future, you know, in two or three episodes ago. Now, you're
- 34:43not a spoiler. I mean, first of all, anyone watching this and
- 34:45listening to this, y'all should have watched the episode. Okay, they even
- 34:49said it. His mother said it in this episode. Yeah, in this
- 34:52episode they say, you know, oh you's and you know, oh my
- 34:54baby brown eyes and all that shit. Yes, that is Cable. So
- 34:59Cable comes from back from the future and says, I'm too late, like
- 35:04you, like we were talking about, this has probably happened multiple times,
- 35:07you know this whole he says, not again, And I'm question to you
- 35:12how many times has he's been to this timeline? We do know he jumps,
- 35:15he jumps climes, jump time streams, and how many times did he
- 35:19try to prevent this shit from happening? A lot? Because this is obviously
- 35:25a lot. Yeah, there's there's a lot of beach. Like we said
- 35:30at the beginning of this episode, this is obviously a very big episode for
- 35:35a lot of reasons. That's what we saw in Janosha, what we see
- 35:37with Scott and Jean and Madeline, what we see with Cable, what we
- 35:43see in the sky. Before we even see Cable, did you peep your
- 35:47boy in the stars? I didn't, Well, no, no, who
- 35:52was up there? I didn't see nobody. I didn't look up. I
- 35:54was still busy focused down who was there? Right when Rogue and Gambit have
- 35:59their big conversation when you know, right before, but basically, when Gamber
- 36:05watch how the road's life for the time being, it pands up into the
- 36:09sky and we see the silhouette of the watcher Uatu watching over this whole thing.
- 36:16Oh shit, I even notice. That's a good catch. Very yeah.
- 36:21A lot of people pointed out it took me a second to see him.
- 36:22I was like, oh shit, that isn't but yes, Uau,
- 36:24the watchers silhouette is watching over this whole event, which means a lot of
- 36:29things. Which means one that this is a very big moment in the multiverse,
- 36:32which means that this might be a what if type event where you know,
- 36:37this isn't what's supposed to happen, and Table is trying to time correct
- 36:42it to what should happen a lot of different things, but with Cable and
- 36:47with this ether extinction event that I talked about before, and Grant Morris's karma
- 36:52in the show, Cable says he's coming. I'm pretty sure he says he
- 36:58right, he did? I think so, which might be, you know,
- 37:00they might be trying to throw you off the trail right. In the
- 37:04comics, what caused the Sentinel attack on Jenosha was the introduction of another character,
- 37:09Cassandra Nova. Cassandra Nova is actually going to be in Deadpool and Wolverine
- 37:15this summer. Cassandra Nova in the biggest soap opera shit ever in It's Men.
- 37:21Wo. I don't know now this She is already on on this.
- 37:25This took it to twelve fam Cassandra Nova is Professor's evil twin who Professor at
- 37:31strangled in the womb after she tried to or actually psychically attacked her after she
- 37:39tried to strangle him. But she started it then, yeah, she started
- 37:44yeah, but you know, you know, Charles is always a little questionable.
- 37:45So she comes back as like the psychic entity and then reforms her physical
- 37:51form and all this stuff, and then causes this Master Mold, which you
- 37:55know, builds sentinels to build this giant, insane size sentinel, which then
- 38:00she's sixty three of them on Genosha and wipes out sixteen million mutants. So
- 38:06that's how Cassandronova gets introduced as a villain character. She's off killing all sixteen
- 38:10million mutants immediately. Why did she do this? Fuck your dream? You
- 38:14know, just just off some some stupid shit, just like I'm the evil
- 38:20twin. Cassandra Nova is the definition of the evil twin. Whatever you were
- 38:23about on the opposite, you know, so you gotta dream. Fuck your
- 38:28dream, you know. And one the show, where do the fuck did
- 38:31these this Evangelian thing come from? Like we see the big green pops,
- 38:37but I'm like, are they coming from the future, past present? Like
- 38:39what the no? No, no no. The Master Mold, like we've
- 38:42seen before, is a is a factory to build some Yeah. Now the
- 38:45big giant one is built from what they were calling in the commons, a
- 38:50wild sentinel that would pick up straps and tech from wherever it is, So
- 38:54it just kept getting bigger and bigger as it flew towards Jenosha, eventually getting
- 38:59there, and it's this giant size. So it was just roaming the fucking
- 39:02earth. No, it wasn't Romano. Where was this was a It went
- 39:06from a jungle where the factory was in like South America. And then yeah,
- 39:13trash, it is involved. Trash involved. Cassandronova actually takes the DNA
- 39:17out of one of the trash to get the machine to recognize her and then
- 39:22says, build these things and sects them on Genosha. It is a it's
- 39:25like, you know, it's a it's level. She pushes the button in
- 39:29thirty minutes later Genotion and so on the show now now coming forward with X
- 39:34Men ninety seven. Yes, who launched this attack? Is the question?
- 39:38Now? The big people who everyone's putting up one ar Cassandronova for the reasons
- 39:44I've just e played two, which seems more likely except that big giant sentinels
- 39:50ain't really They move is Apocalypse because Apocalypse has been on the show before.
- 39:54People is always trying to stop this future where Apocalypse rules it. Apocalypse has
- 40:00also been involved with rogue on the show. He was actually trying to cure
- 40:06her. First she rejects him, and that led him to creating Archangel out
- 40:10of Angel. So this might be a thing where he comes along and raises
- 40:15Gambit as his fourth horseman or as she's a death horseman no yep. And
- 40:21then you got the dramas no God, no yep of Dambit being a horseman
- 40:27of apocalypse and serving death and all that, and then Rogue crying and everything.
- 40:30So that could be a possibility. The other possibility is Strife, who
- 40:35is Cable's clone. I'm not sure if Strife ever showed up in n ninety
- 40:40seven, I'd say, I mean an original X men, I'd say nah,
- 40:44because it's corny. You know, he's on the shows. I mean
- 40:46him, he was basically a test too, baby. But what Strife was
- 40:51actually tone because you know, Cable got infected with the with the vis VIS
- 40:55so they're like, well, we need a Cable, so let's plone this
- 40:58nigga just a case he does you and your mama? Yeah, so okay,
- 41:05So and then I think that's pretty much it for who could be behind
- 41:08it? Who could be and where did they come from? Okay? And
- 41:12where did his little watch was like body slide one. Yeah, where the
- 41:16fuck happened? And where do he What the fuck happened? And where did
- 41:19he go? Did he did he get slingshot it back to Yeah, because
- 41:23it said something about like his temporal ship was running out. So yeah,
- 41:28he got yanked back to the future, probably which mom got to see him,
- 41:31got to see that he made it. He's all growing up. I'm
- 41:34old a little bit just to get pop. Yeah, she definitely got popped
- 41:37through. Yep. So Madeline is dead. Madeland is dead. I mean
- 41:43showed her by the way after the fucking atomic type blast. You didn't see
- 41:46her anymore? Well yeah, bo I think confirmed on Twitter that caught the
- 41:52L goddamn. And then most of like the council was killed. She definitely
- 41:57caught the L. They was in the air getting the infinity beam right for
- 42:02them poor in reality, and then the ship was like, I mean,
- 42:09I know that's DC, but the ship had like omega beams, like what
- 42:13the fun Like, No, this was like on some different level type ship.
- 42:15You know them beams like you know that them ships that be hidden where
- 42:20it's just like, ain't nothing left of you. It's just potpourri, Like
- 42:23what's that war? The World's beams war, the World's points? Yeah,
- 42:30Like I just I just as it was happening, these unnamed mutants was running
- 42:36around getting popped. I was just like, wait, nigga, it wasn't
- 42:37a name. I knew them niggas. That was the word. There was
- 42:40one black guy something that he was. He was running for his fucking That's
- 42:45what I'm saying. Like not everybody, just there was some of them where
- 42:47it was just like, come on, man, he don't even he not
- 42:51even. He didn't get to intro himself. Man, nothing all right,
- 42:54before we get to there were a lot of cameos in this episode I do
- 42:58want to talk about. There's the other people talking about the two major love
- 43:01triangles situation, Scott Jean and Madaman. Listen, I know you keep telling
- 43:07me and other people y'all don't like the Scott slander. You stop it.
- 43:10Guess what, I don't give a fuck fuck Scott Summers. I don't like
- 43:16that nigga. Does he make good points sometimes? Does he have an incredible
- 43:22power set? Absolutely? And it shows much better, it reads much better.
- 43:27In X Men ninety seven, Do I Give a Fuck? And do
- 43:30I like him as a person absolutely the fuck not and that will not change.
- 43:35Well, I'm bad, folks, and I'm here to defend Scott Summers
- 43:37to the day I die. He's one of the greatest characters of all time,
- 43:40and I love that this show is finally giving him as due. I
- 43:44really think we're about to see revolutionary stot where he puts on the red X
- 43:49and the black Yeah, because we got hints of that in this episode when
- 43:52he was telling them all. Tris Tilby. I also love Tris Tilby.
- 43:57For people who read the comments, Trish dates be than the comics and Arbara
- 44:00Walters. Yeah, she's like a long time major minor character. So just
- 44:05seeing Tris pop up again was great. Oh so that was flirting. So
- 44:07that was kind of a the ta for a long time. That's like one
- 44:14of his major loves is you know Trish. Yeah, I mean, and
- 44:16like even in that just mentioned her like Scott was not wrong and how he
- 44:21went in on the road, like he was absolutely right fuck her on that
- 44:23ship because it's facts, because he's just like, why do I have to
- 44:27talk to you to try to humanize myself when without me, YO ask to
- 44:30be dead. That was tea and that was a read and he got I
- 44:35fucked with him on that. Yeah, and that was also basically you know,
- 44:38like what every oppressed people have always said throughout time is why do we
- 44:44have to prove ourselves to you when we're being impressed by you? And without
- 44:47us you would have nothing. That's it. That's it. So you know,
- 44:53I love Scott always, and I mean he does make choices that seems
- 44:59Scott other motherfucking hand fuck Scott. Okay, character. I won't say fun
- 45:06Scott. I will say that Dot is going through it. And anyone with
- 45:09a heart would understand that Scott is doing through No, no, no,
- 45:14no, no, no. You know what I'm saying. I understand he's
- 45:15going through. But I don't. I don't like this nigga. That the
- 45:19things he does, that the unnecessary, the cut of his jib is something
- 45:23about it pisses me to fuck off. But you fuck with this, But
- 45:28you fuck with the nigga who's over here, dirty mackin on his woman behind.
- 45:32You're talking about Logan. First of all, Logan is innocent. We're
- 45:37not doing that. We're talking about Logan is one hundred plus years old over
- 45:42here, hitting on he is not hitting on her. He first of all,
- 45:45let's not let's not change his and pulled up a gen. No,
- 45:53no, no, we're not talking about that. We're not talking about when
- 45:55he's simply he's getting his film. We're talking about what we've seen in this
- 45:59episode, which was he pulled up saw fucking jeans doing something wild shit in
- 46:04the fucking pool. And then he said, hey, yo, are you
- 46:07okay? Hey yo, I know you going through a lot. He wasn't
- 46:09trying to, as you say, dirtymac on her. He wasn't trying to
- 46:13be up on her. Okay, he's done it before. I understand what
- 46:15we're talking about now, yeah, okay. And he was in his feeling
- 46:19you're talking about now, that's he didn't do nothing, now, Gen,
- 46:22and you had made a note. She was like, was that not fucked
- 46:23up? How you know? Gene? I said, poor? I said
- 46:27poor Logan to that, because it's true Logan been fighting for his motherfucking wife
- 46:31when it comes to his love and underquieted love for Gene and everything he been
- 46:36going through. He's been fighting for his life for for fucking forever and I
- 46:39and that it was fucked up for him, for him, for her,
- 46:42to kiss him, and you know she's ain't her feeling, she's she's confused
- 46:45as fucked too, and she you know, she's feeling vulnerable, you know
- 46:47how it happens with you in vulnerable situations. Sometimes she'd go damn. But
- 46:51that's too fucked up for him because he's like, that's all he ever want.
- 46:54He just want him some gene. He just wants that love, and
- 46:57that love ain't gonna fucking happen. And you saw what happened after she kissed
- 47:00him. What he do He didn't take it to the next level. He
- 47:02said, ay, yo, hey, yo, you my a yo.
- 47:06You know you my man that d yo you my man's girl. I can't
- 47:10be doing that, you know what I mean? Like he said, he
- 47:13did all of that right. He said the rules, you know what I'm
- 47:17saying. Like, so, we're not gonna lie on Logan. Listen,
- 47:22let's be fucking clear. No, no, no, no, we don't
- 47:24have to lie on him. He's definitely dirty math in the past and dirty
- 47:28math in the future. That is what Logan does. So and also also
- 47:31he's a groomer. That's wrong. I'm just putting that out there. Logan
- 47:36to a groomer. God was that is wrong. He is emotionally and psychically
- 47:39cheating kind of sort of. And I know this is and I will admit
- 47:44that this is very fucked up and typical and very Maddelin prior. You know,
- 47:49Maddeling is his baby mama. That is, I get it. I
- 47:52get Jean wasn't there to have Jean was, but Jean was taken against her
- 47:57will and she was there first, and niggas didn't know. So that's why
- 48:00it's so complicated. It is complicated. However, Comma, once Scott found
- 48:05out, I'm not saying you can't check in on your baby mama's but he
- 48:07was doing something that Jean said that that's for us, that's for you and
- 48:12me. You was not supposed to be hitting them up on the hotline talking
- 48:16about he yo, baby mama, you good like no that she said that
- 48:20psychic link whatever she called it, that's specifically for Jeane and him. That's
- 48:23again, in Scott's eyes, he always had the psychic link with Gene.
- 48:30He talking about that's one and the same to him. Okay, it is
- 48:32because while he was off, while he was off being kidnapped like a sucker.
- 48:37Sorry, you know, I was, I was over here. You
- 48:45like, when it's the oppressed people, I'm all on their side. When
- 48:47it's Gene whatever, And I love Gene. So I love Gene and I
- 48:51love madd In this case, I'm stopped summers. I feel them both because
- 48:54when one was growing, the other was that he never knew had a kid
- 49:00with this woman, that niggas always gonna be there. Everything is true.
- 49:05At the same time, Schroedinger's cat, Nigga's still cheating. Technically, niggas
- 49:08still loving bumping them because they all kissing another man. Excuse me, in
- 49:15real time? Again, Gene, you're kissing another man in real time,
- 49:19Nigga, Let's not act like this is something she been doing forever in the
- 49:22day. Okay, this is she's she's been flirting with forever in a day.
- 49:28No, you're not doing this. You're not doing this. And also,
- 49:30this is this is the continuation of the parallels. Shut up. This
- 49:35is continuation of the parallel. I watched the episodes again. This continuous of
- 49:40how of Scott and Gene, of all of the conflicting emotions that they're going
- 49:45through, you know, like again her kissing Logan and then Scott doing the
- 49:49mind meld with Maddelin and you know, all this stuff happened one time,
- 49:52even when they both expressed like they both recount their story, like when he's
- 49:57when Scott's talking to fake as Barbara Waltz's and when Gene is talking to Logan
- 50:01where they were like, you know one day and I don't I think they
- 50:05were talking about the same story, but it was so desperately different in how
- 50:07they viewed it, right. She was just like, yo, I was
- 50:10the phoenix and I had the power of the galaxy behind me, and his
- 50:14eyes kept me here and he was just like, yeah, yo, she
- 50:17wasn't fucking feeling me, and she slapped me. But you know she I
- 50:22talk at my glasses and I didn't. I didn't. Nothing happened. We
- 50:25were safe together, you know what I mean. It was just when you
- 50:29listen to how he recounts the story to how she recos the story, it's
- 50:32very different, Yeah, because the experiences are completely different. She was in
- 50:36terms of a cosmic being and he was dealing with somebody who was in the
- 50:39cos Nigga was it was terrified. The level of Scott simping is too damn
- 50:47high. Oh wow, he was terrified she was a cousin sitting. Wait
- 50:52wait, wait, you're Scott sipping you're Scott. No, no, I'm
- 50:57standing up for Scott. Second of all, the fact that he like and
- 51:00because I need to say this now, because when everyone keeps calling Scott a
- 51:05simp, Scott is a simp. For the love of his life. That
- 51:08is what people would. You're supposed to love and honor and and and be
- 51:13the and Scott does that? Does it? I don't like that, nigga,
- 51:16I get it, But that's just that that's the problem with a lot
- 51:21of people. They don't like the righteous man. They like the bad boy.
- 51:25You know, when the good nigga come along, nobody want to with
- 51:29that nigga's Scott is the good. It is that and that's the problem.
- 51:36So what I'm saying Scott is, yes, he's the boys doubt, but
- 51:38he's the be prepared nigga. He's the nigga who's going to have a million
- 51:42different plans. He's the batman of the s men man. And I'm not
- 51:51he appravates me. That's not truecause I doott you know what, because he
- 51:57apperbates me deeply. We're only on episode five and I already know that by
- 52:01episode ten you're gonna be seeing his races because I already know where they're going
- 52:06with this man. And then it's I mean, yep, when did the
- 52:09original X Men come out, like twenty years ago? I hated that nigga,
- 52:15But that's that's what I watched a syndication. But that doesn't matter.
- 52:17And you had a bad representation of this nigga. That and that's the original
- 52:22show. And even the writers there was an article interview where they're talking about
- 52:25that, like two of their goals for this was the redemption of Scott.
- 52:30That was one of their big things because he comes off kind of a sucker
- 52:35in the original suity know, I don't think so, but that was them.
- 52:37No, he is a fucking sucker, and I don't like suckers.
- 52:40Let's be clear. It's not I call him a stem because it's funny,
- 52:43but I don't like suckers. Okay, and I will, like I said
- 52:45once again, I will take back the word hate. I do not hate
- 52:49the nigga. He aggravates me deeply. You know, he's amazing. Stop
- 52:53Summer's right. Cyclops was right. That was the shirt that came out after
- 52:57Magnito is right, and it's you know, just as appropriate the other Love
- 53:02triangle Magneto rogue, damn it. I mean we talked about it, you
- 53:06know, yeah, I mean, oh wait, wait wait one last thing
- 53:09on the Stot Yeah, on the Stot Man on the Jean triangle one.
- 53:15I thought that was fucking brilliantly done. How they did that rapport when Stott
- 53:20walks into the room and you think, this is really happening. We had
- 53:23a psychic rapport and he walks into the room and sits down on the bed
- 53:27and they're talking, and then Jean suddenly appears in the air and you're like,
- 53:30what the fuck is going on here? Whiz yeah, and the curtain
- 53:35and said no, and it's like, oh, this is all on their
- 53:37head. And then it comes to the council and Emma reacting is so classic
- 53:43because that sh it was funny. She Emma clocked that ship, was like,
- 53:46oh, your mind was wandering huh yo. And once again, this
- 53:51is another big shout out to Brant Morrison's run on the comics, because when
- 53:53Grant Morrison's run on the comics, Scott starts having a psychic affair with Emma.
- 54:00Listen, to the word affair. Oh yeah, No, that's an
- 54:02affair. This was more, this is yeah. At the same time,
- 54:10Jane is just as responsible for this affair as Scott is, just as in
- 54:15this show, Gene is just as responsible because they don't communicate. That's their
- 54:19biggest issue. Even though they have this psychic connection, they don't really communicate
- 54:22because Scott has a lot of shit going on and Gene has a lot of
- 54:27shit going on obviously, so they don't really express themselves to each other.
- 54:30While with Emma, Scott can express himself and Gene is off doing her own
- 54:36thing and the comments at this point she's you know, like I ia say,
- 54:37it's rolling around Wolverine a little too close. So Scott and them again
- 54:40into this thing and then Gene dies, and when she dies, she like
- 54:45sends, you know, as with her psychic energy or the phoenix force,
- 54:49sends a message to Scott to because in like one version of it, he
- 54:52stays in love with her and that ruins the future basically like he never gets
- 54:58over. So she tells him to, you know, live your life,
- 55:00go on with Emma, and that's how him and Emma become a couple.
- 55:05And that lasted for a good while in the comics. It was actually one
- 55:07of my favorite relationships. So that was just a really dope shout out right
- 55:12there. Yeah, it was that, you know, her being the one
- 55:14to clock it, of course because she's psyching, but also because the exact
- 55:17same thing it already happened to her in the comics, and so that was
- 55:21a little shot for them. I like that. Again, Emma's just hilarious.
- 55:25Oh, Emma's the best. Yeah, but I think Emma probably survives
- 55:30the attack because in the comics, I think she did well in the comics.
- 55:34This is when Emma discovered her secondary mutation of being able to turn into
- 55:37a diamond form where her skin turns into diamond, and that's how she survives
- 55:43the attacks. That would make sense, especially the blasts, you know what
- 55:45I'm saying, Like that's some ship where you just like, like the first
- 55:47thing you do, your body hardens, like when something body throws someone something
- 55:52at you that you don't expect, you heart in your body. Right,
- 55:53So for that to what's the word I'm looking for for that to manifest manifes.
- 56:00Thank you to manifest that that makes sense. Yes, we did speak
- 56:02a lot about MAGNETI and Rode. But I did want to mention because this
- 56:06also has been going around online too, like or and also asked you a
- 56:09question like is it truly that a love between from from rogues perspective, that
- 56:14truly a lover just a really deep admiration for at Medo based on like how
- 56:17their relationship started in the first place, Like there's a different type of love,
- 56:22Like I feel like her love with obviously her love with Remy is different
- 56:25than her love with Magneto, but I've also feel like it's also like a
- 56:30I'm looking up to this, you know, an admirable type of thing like
- 56:32this Nigga showed me the world and he told me that I can touch people,
- 56:36you know, there it is a possibility. He showed her the world,
- 56:38all right. I had also asked because when she was recounting her story,
- 56:45she was talking about the first time I ran away from my daddy,
- 56:47and I was just like, Okay, well, how old were you when
- 56:51this happened? And she kind of looks the same, But you said she
- 56:53was in her twenties because there was a thing going on now that that Magneta
- 56:59was grooming, and that's disturbing to know when she runs away from her daddy.
- 57:02There's a long time in between that and when she meets Magnito, because
- 57:07she lives with Mystique for quite a long time. Yeah, which was hilarious
- 57:14because they don't really I guess they're really doing their best to not name Mystique
- 57:17right now, but they don't want you to make the connection because a lot
- 57:22of people are surmised that Val Cooper is probably a Mystique in Distris, judging
- 57:29by Vow's actions throughout the series The Lady Today, and that actually happened in
- 57:34the comics too. Mystique replaced Valve for a while and allowed the government to
- 57:40form a team of mutants like she poses Val and got her brotherhood of evil
- 57:47Mutants issenerated and working for the government is Freedom Force. But when Mystique,
- 57:54for example, when she transforms in different people, does that also mask from
- 57:58you in DNA? The only reason why I'm asking that is when all the
- 58:00niggas was running for their life away from the Sentinels. I mean, granted
- 58:06you can there, but no, what I'm gonna say, it's plausible that
- 58:10that was happening, But did the Sentinel actually notice her? No, it
- 58:15wouldn't have to because at that point one mystique is not notice her as a
- 58:20mutant. I mean, like the tunnel knows everybody that's a mutant. And
- 58:22if and I'm just saying that, I'm saying this in the terms of the
- 58:24sense that this could be mystique what Inessentil has said, that's a mutant looking
- 58:29at because he was blasting everyone. Remember at that point Newton detected and I'm
- 58:35just like, whoa. At that point it was like because I feel like
- 58:40it was looking yes, everyone was getting there was a bunch of niggas right
- 58:44next to her getting I don't know. I was just and again plausible deniability,
- 58:47It's like, well, no, yeah, that's the point of that
- 58:52one. And that one the sentinel could have said mute and detected and he
- 58:54could have been talking about her or fit the other niggas standing next to us.
- 58:59It's just that when a zoomer came to her crying, I was like,
- 59:01oh shit. So but the big point in the episode was when Magneto
- 59:06said, I chose rogue vals look is like fuck, And that wouldn't be
- 59:12a look that Vow would normally have. And also also Vow is not the
- 59:19type to run around saving you in Swing the Giant Sentinels attack, no vows
- 59:22the type of dip so that it seems plausible, and and the fact that
- 59:30they didn't name the steque in this episode that they went with Evil ass.
- 59:32Mama was also like, Okay, mystique is somewhere and they don't want to
- 59:37name her. To her mind folks that she's you know, right here.
- 59:40So yeah, no, there was time. Yeah, back to the point,
- 59:43there was time between. Magneto is not a groomer anymore so than Wolverine
- 59:49is just putting that out there in this episode, says, my mug is
- 59:53not changing over one hundred years. Yes, but Ben, you know,
- 59:57it's also different. It's not not this nigga got one hundred years of game,
- 1:00:01okay, but he's messing with adults. He's not messing with a seventeen
- 1:00:06year old, you know what I'm saying. So if I had one hundred
- 1:00:07years a game, you are seventeen year old to me, I'm just okay,
- 1:00:15V I know about that, you know, but it's right. But
- 1:00:21you know what I'm saying, that's relative. Yes, someone who's one hundred
- 1:00:23years old, any other person's going to be young in them. You know
- 1:00:25that's not the same. You know that's not the same. I just know
- 1:00:29sixty year old talking to a seventeen year old or so one and so forth.
- 1:00:32I just know sex undred years old. So what two hundred year old
- 1:00:37or three hundred old whatever, how old this fucking nigga is? What three
- 1:00:38hundred years old? You know? Like, get the fuck out of here.
- 1:00:44No, that's what I'm saying, None of them and that, And
- 1:00:45here's one who's alive who still looks good. So boom boom boom. You
- 1:00:51a nigga, man, I just can't. I'm just saying that. And
- 1:00:54also just just one more thing to touch upon again when it comes to that
- 1:00:59triangle, just the way that Magneto protected them, like he's again unbelievable power.
- 1:01:07We will not wonder if we could have done more unbelievable power like the
- 1:01:14death that's coming raining down upon and he's still being able, he's holding it
- 1:01:19down for the entire unit that's there, and then still got the wherewithal and
- 1:01:22the strength to wrap a rogue and gambit in that bubble of metal like no,
- 1:01:29y'all gonna make it leach. I'm sorry, nigga, you guys to
- 1:01:31go but but we hold on. You think I was gonna do that because
- 1:01:42I say that neither her Niggas is dead. No, No, I'm just
- 1:01:45playing. I'm just saying. I mean, I'm also just I'm just aid
- 1:01:52because I'm dying too. Weed, you ain't gonna have no time to be
- 1:01:59afraid. And let's be clear, we sh ain't even feel that that ship
- 1:02:01that that's that's Potpourary City, like immediately he didn't even feel that. He
- 1:02:07Let's let's be clear. What my judgment of what happened in those final moments
- 1:02:13is, Leech uses his powers on Magneto, thus removing the threat of being
- 1:02:19an Omega mutant. Leech cancels out his powers so Sentinel can't see Omega mutant
- 1:02:24there anymore and does not finish the job. Plausible deniability accepted because the Sentinel
- 1:02:31first says Omega threat detected, and then when it was off done, he
- 1:02:35didn't say Omega threat destroyed or whatever the fuck terminated. He says mutant terminated,
- 1:02:42and there was no distinctions. That's why I said plausible deniability. I
- 1:02:45might accept that. That'd be nice, but nobody, no, no,
- 1:02:51I mean, if we didn't see them get turned to potpourri. So Leech
- 1:02:53and Magneto are still alive, the rest of their niggas will Leech still be
- 1:02:59alive though, That's what I don't understand, because Manito's shielding him up.
- 1:03:02Well, no, you just say Leech took that power just so he wouldn't
- 1:03:07be targeted. No more. That means Leech is a target. Now,
- 1:03:08that means all the other more like niggas is a no. But see if
- 1:03:13he's targeting Magnito and suddenly does not know and suddenly is like, Okay,
- 1:03:16Manito's dead, He's not. He just stops shooting. But it didn't did
- 1:03:22they stop shooting or did it just blow up? I saw an explosion,
- 1:03:24ben Haman, it wasn't just all the beams still got his ship? Or
- 1:03:29maybe does I saw an explosion. That's what I'm saying. Manito wrapped him,
- 1:03:31Maybe Magnito wrapped him in their own metal cocoon, and then you know
- 1:03:37alive. So bad Magnido is alive. I'm not worried about that. I'm
- 1:03:40just trying to figure out for the riders. I already know he's alive.
- 1:03:44The rest of these niggas is cooked like gambits cooked Nightcrawler. It's either cooked
- 1:03:50or you know, semi cooked. No, Nightcrawler was in the garden first
- 1:03:54of all, like when they when when Gambit checked his post, he said
- 1:03:58he alive. That's another reason why I love Yeah. I love how he
- 1:04:00speaks. I love his voice. I think reading the comments, I hated
- 1:04:04it because it was always like it was that it's that fate French. Yeah,
- 1:04:11he said he alive. So no, kurtse I, you know,
- 1:04:15he's just just fucked up. He's like a lot of niggas dropped cooked.
- 1:04:18There was a lot of people who showed up in this episode who were probably
- 1:04:23cooked. Your man Blob who is that weird pink mutant where you could see
- 1:04:27his skeleton. He was very disturbing cook. He's also a Grant Morrison creation.
- 1:04:32Uh. Pixie was the character that note who played her in the Yeah,
- 1:04:42that was Pixie. She got cooked nature Girl or another I'm not sure
- 1:04:45when yet. Nature Girl showed up in the comments. I love her though.
- 1:04:47She that's the one with the years horns cooked. Yeah, cooked,
- 1:04:54little fish fish Boy, I think it's his name. I'm pretty sure he
- 1:04:57got cooked along with the rest of it. He was laid out with the
- 1:05:00council. He was like, remember when they showed the counsel, he was
- 1:05:01one of the niggas that was laid out. Now, I don't know that
- 1:05:04automatically meant death, but like this ain't got enough power to see. Then
- 1:05:08when they showed what's her name Callisto, the one in her eye, the
- 1:05:12pupil, the pupil like got small and I'm like, yo, that's the
- 1:05:15life come to her eye, right, that's the I'm dead. We saw.
- 1:05:20There was so many cameos. Oh yeah, Sebastian Shaw, part of
- 1:05:25the council, didn't make it because I didn't see him no more. Hi,
- 1:05:28his power set could make him survive. Sebastian Shaw can absorb physical energy
- 1:05:33and kinetic energy and turn it into power. So they're not gonna do that
- 1:05:36shit the Darwin though. They're not gonna darwin him high. No, probably
- 1:05:40not. But Sebastian Shaw is one of the characters who could get cooked in
- 1:05:43but you know, mean much. But we saw a lot of different cameos
- 1:05:46in this episode. There's a character Cipher, not the Cipher that I know
- 1:05:50in love. There's another Cipher, the black woman with the dreads who phased
- 1:05:56through this red character who is Exodus X. This is a like super powerful
- 1:06:01mutant. So I'm not sure what they're gonna do with them, you know,
- 1:06:04as far as if they survived this whole attack or now. But Exodus
- 1:06:09was there ship. We see Dazzler at one point, so you see her
- 1:06:12a couple of times and I think she got popped. Yeah she had well,
- 1:06:15I mean she was in the galla, so she ain't making it out
- 1:06:17of that power instead of not making it through that. We see Boom,
- 1:06:23Yeah, we see Mora. We see Boom Boom, who's another one of
- 1:06:27the New Mutant's X force. She actually cozies up to Rogue when they're at
- 1:06:31that market thing watching the dude perform. Boom Boom bounces in the Rogue and
- 1:06:35like gives her a little you know bump. Mora of course, which we
- 1:06:41discussed earlier. And the way to carame holds on Mora when they say that,
- 1:06:45you know, why is this human on the council which could be a
- 1:06:47hit at something coming. Who knows if they're going to actually tackle the Cocoa
- 1:06:54and the Ten Lives of Mora X, we'll see. If you haven't read
- 1:06:58the House of's Powers of Edge, you got to read that to know
- 1:07:00what I'm talking about. Mara's on some mister immortal type shit, right,
- 1:07:04Maura is on a different thing than mister immortal. Mourra is on basically Maura
- 1:07:10every time her mute power is basically to reset the universe in a way when
- 1:07:15she dies, So when she dies, she lives her life again with the
- 1:07:19full memory of everything that happened to her before. So right, right,
- 1:07:26okay now, and so the universe basically goes along with Moura. So it's
- 1:07:30like, basically, right now in the x Men continuity, in normal x
- 1:07:33Men time whatever, we're living in the tenth life of Mora, like she's
- 1:07:39done ten different times, and the current cannon that we all know, you
- 1:07:44know, from the beginning of X Men is all in her tenth life,
- 1:07:47right, and that's what's happening right now. That was about to say krokoa
- 1:07:51yep, the corokoda. So right now in XMND ninety seven, if we
- 1:07:55were going by that, we were we would be in one of Mora's lives
- 1:07:59right now where everyone thinks she's a human, but she herself would know that
- 1:08:03she's a mutant, and it's living this life manipulating things, because that's what
- 1:08:09Maria does in House of That's positives, to manipulate a lot of things and
- 1:08:12lives, these lives in different ways, trying to find either a cure for
- 1:08:15mutants or to help mu in various different things. It's you know, debatable
- 1:08:20whose side she's really on. So that was a really really dope shout out.
- 1:08:25And I know that was purely intentional because you know this was started written
- 1:08:29like, you know, four years ago whatever. They've been refining right in
- 1:08:31this up until recently, and the Morris stuff is now like four or five
- 1:08:34years ago. So yeah, yeah, yeah, Charles Xavier haters will be
- 1:08:40happy he's here, that he has been the cause of death for more mutants
- 1:08:44as well. His statue fucking collapsed on a bunch of niggas. That was
- 1:08:47fucked up. That really. I was like, God, damn, why
- 1:08:51Charles statue gotta fall on? And then Magneto crushed you know, it was
- 1:08:55an accident, but him crash into it, and then the whole shit on.
- 1:08:58Now I was just like, symbolism, why why does this have to
- 1:09:00happen? And there was a lot of really quick stuff in this episode,
- 1:09:05like in that shot when Magnito, you know, is about to you know,
- 1:09:09when he says they will be avenged, and you see a shot of
- 1:09:15a body on the ground with the sheetover which I presume is his daughter,
- 1:09:18because his daughter gets killed. And that's one of the biggest things in Magnito's
- 1:09:21life is that his human daughter dies and there's never anything he could do to
- 1:09:26save her. It's when his powers first manifest really is when his daughter dies,
- 1:09:30at least in the comics, you see you see theocaust with the barbed
- 1:09:34wire, when it took me out, and then there's another quick burst of
- 1:09:40shots when Jeane or when Madeline gets the attack at the gala, and there's
- 1:09:45a bunch of rats. There's a bunch of rats. She's holding she's there's
- 1:09:47one her holding the baby, which we kind of saw before, but she's
- 1:09:51wearing the outfit either the cosume. There's a bunch of there's something else and
- 1:09:56then a bunch of rats, and rats mean decay and and a rat inside
- 1:10:02your system, you know, is there a trader in the system all these
- 1:10:05type of things. Sinister of course, being a rat who's always you know,
- 1:10:11in the X Men system. You know, he's just a rat in
- 1:10:14their matrix basically, so yeah, that could refer to a lot of things.
- 1:10:17Oh and that was the other person who could be behind this attack is
- 1:10:20mister Sinister, but that's highly unlikely as well, like what he had to
- 1:10:25do to function it up, so I think good he had. Yeah,
- 1:10:28he'll be back, but the sentinels aren't his things, and Senator is more
- 1:10:31on like maur Reshow type shit like I'm gonna make this really dramatic and fucked
- 1:10:35up for you because you know I like problems always type shit like you know,
- 1:10:41not not only to your point, not on some sentinel type shit.
- 1:10:44I don't think that's his bag. It could be apocalypse with his whole you
- 1:10:48know, the strong survive and this is how I hold a week, which
- 1:10:53you know works for him, and I'm leaning towards to him because I just
- 1:10:58think, I don't know, because Sandra novaseems like it'd be a lot for
- 1:11:00this, even more than doing co cola right now, but who knows.
- 1:11:03Just like I said, they've been doing all kinds of shit that I just
- 1:11:05have not been expecting. So the only sunshine for me in this episode was
- 1:11:10like seeing Rogue and Gambit fight together. And just as you said, that
- 1:11:14that whole, that being, that feeling of belonging with each other and all
- 1:11:18that other stuff. And then Emma, of course, like when she basically
- 1:11:23said doctor Cooper dresses ugly, I was fucking dying because she said Doctor Cooper's
- 1:11:28She said, what's wrong? And Emma was like, is it your dress?
- 1:11:32Just been going in on the niggas. Ilma is the best. Like,
- 1:11:35Emma Frost is one of my favorite characters. She's you know, her
- 1:11:40redemption in Grant Morrison's arc and then the stuff she does with Generation X is
- 1:11:45just She's one of my favorites. Man. Emma's always been a favorite.
- 1:11:48Like, she's a really tragic character because a lot of kids die around her
- 1:11:53sadly, and she has to live with that wad. Her psychic powers make
- 1:11:57her live with that weight even more the whole. I mean, when Janoshit
- 1:12:00gets attacked, like she's in the middle of teaching some students in class and
- 1:12:04she says some snarky shit to this kid and then boom they're all dead.
- 1:12:10Yeah, Like, and that's her, that's he, that's he, that's
- 1:12:14an Emo, that's a personality to be snarky and funny. Yeah, but
- 1:12:15then it's like you know, you say sparky shit and then everyone dies around
- 1:12:19you instantly and you're like, oh, yikes, right, yeah you mentioned
- 1:12:24just again, just just finishing up with like when we're talking about sound and
- 1:12:26stuff. Sound design was incredible, and also the music choices as well.
- 1:12:30During I Gala, they were playing Asa Bassis song called Happy Nation, which
- 1:12:34went crazy with every scene, Like there's even a point in the song where
- 1:12:39they're singing in Latin and then like that that part starts happening when all hell
- 1:12:44brace loose. That shit. That shit was too much and I didn't some
- 1:12:47of the other music were kind of a bit weird to me, like when
- 1:12:49that forementioned scene in the street performance and it felt a little tribal, a
- 1:12:55little African was trying to make it sound like they was like Brazilian con yeah,
- 1:13:01and it was like I get it. You know, mutants being the
- 1:13:03indigenous population, et cetera, et cetera, would have some you know,
- 1:13:06and then all these MutS are coming from different cultures. But I thought,
- 1:13:11because the two people, I mean you, I think you said the name
- 1:13:13of the means the two people dancing, they was darker skin, I thought
- 1:13:15like that was supposed to be their music from they you know, definite.
- 1:13:17I was saying, like, you know, because all these means come from
- 1:13:19their different cultures, they're representing themselves. Plus they're bringing this whole new mutant
- 1:13:25culture together. So I thought that was you know, it was it was
- 1:13:28a choice. I guess it'd be better than them doing like, you know,
- 1:13:30Irish river dancing music and that should be whack. Okay, that's a
- 1:13:33fact about the Hell Happy Nation song. They said the song is a response
- 1:13:38to everybody talking about how bad everything is. I think the best thing is
- 1:13:41to see the positive and then boom, boom, fucking Evangelian shows up,
- 1:13:45big L, big L. Rest in Peace shows up. Boy, anything
- 1:13:50else you got been I mean for this episode, like that, shit is
- 1:13:55well? Like I said that, that was another thing, Like you said,
- 1:13:57hell breaking out at the galla, the whole you know, your dress
- 1:14:00is whack all. That was bit shot outs to the Health Fire gala,
- 1:14:03a thing that's been happening in the X Men comments over the last few years.
- 1:14:06Every year they've been having these big gallows, so beautiful throwing up in
- 1:14:11all still costume, incredible costume design. Yeah, so that was very dope.
- 1:14:15I just once again I wanted to shout at night caller man seeing my
- 1:14:18man Kurt wad nut Yo, thank you for saying the way they showed his
- 1:14:21hiss baf you know, his power. I like that, like again,
- 1:14:27the way that this show has elevated, how they display the powercess and how
- 1:14:32because we're in the future obviously, like it's looks classic but with a twist,
- 1:14:38right is classic, look with you know, some updates, and then
- 1:14:41it looks extra good, like to me, they made him do it so
- 1:14:45many times. They made him banf a lot like that looked extra good with
- 1:14:47him, like popping in and out of different places, and then like it's
- 1:14:51all the little moments he pops in and shapes Manito's hand, the two German
- 1:14:56characters, you know, have that quick little handshake and then off the whatever
- 1:15:00else because Kurt is just such a different character. And then the reference to
- 1:15:03their adventures from the earlier X Men episodes and things of that nature. The
- 1:15:08reference to Kurt being a priest and that you know, part of his whole
- 1:15:12thing is about religion, and also you was talking about that with bringing the
- 1:15:15New Religion to Kokoa and all that, which is I mean to Genosha because
- 1:15:18that was the role he did in Kirkcoa in the comics was figuring out what
- 1:15:23mutant's religion would be. That's right, that's right I mean, and y'all
- 1:15:27I was right earlier. There is ten episodes in this season. We are
- 1:15:31officially at the halfway point, and the next episode is Life Deft Part two,
- 1:15:34so we get to see what happens with the Storm and the whole I
- 1:15:40called him a Baltimore Raven demon like, uh, what the adversary? Thank
- 1:15:45you that digga and then of course this whole toxic gradsulationship with with Forge and
- 1:15:50everything that goes along with that. Oh man, Yeah, that was a
- 1:15:55lot. Yeah. The adversary comes from a part a run on the comics
- 1:15:59called Far All of the Mutants, where Storm and Forge go up against the
- 1:16:02adversary, and uh, at the end of that, a lot of the
- 1:16:06edgmen take a really bad one. And there's three episodes at the end of
- 1:16:11this first season that are Part one, two, and three that they say,
- 1:16:15you know that this part five is now leading up to and the name
- 1:16:19of those episodes evokes the E for extinction. So a lot of us,
- 1:16:26me and myself included, thought, okay, Genosh's going to get new in
- 1:16:30the last three episodes. Now seeing the already get now in this episode,
- 1:16:35I have no clue what they're going to do with those last three other than
- 1:16:40some major shit I obviously assume. I'm not. I don't know, you
- 1:16:44know what they could be referring to now who knows? Who goes? Like
- 1:16:48we said, life def Part two will be about Storm season season episode seven,
- 1:16:54Bright Eyes is cyclops focus focuses the X Men on finding all of our
- 1:17:00trask. However, when the team locates the Sentinel Inventor, they realize they've
- 1:17:03all been played by a mastermind. So whoever's going to be behind them,
- 1:17:08who's ever actually behind all of this is gonna be revealed more. I don't
- 1:17:14know. I don't know. And then the last three episode, as to
- 1:17:17your point, Tolerance is extinction Part one, two and three. It's just
- 1:17:20really it's just really basic descriptions. It says X Men must face must unite
- 1:17:25to face a threat. X Men work together to settle the score. Then
- 1:17:28the last episode says X Men's dream is put to the test as mutant human
- 1:17:31relations reach a tipping point m and that Tolerance's extinction it was that's what they
- 1:17:36referred to earlier in this series was that's why I think Cyclops says that,
- 1:17:42or someone says that to Cyclops, like, you know, if we tolerate
- 1:17:44y'all, we will be at stink, you know, because mutants will eventually
- 1:17:48replace humans. So if Magneto's is alive at the end of all of this
- 1:17:53been he's going is I mean, what's he's trying to go? Hand?
- 1:17:58He's gonna go hand like yeah, yeah, both tears don't drop now.
- 1:18:01And once again this is paralleling like in the Resurrection of Magneto in the latest
- 1:18:05issue, which actually dropped yesterday, Magneto he's resurrector he's back this organization ORCHIS,
- 1:18:13which is like the Friends of Humanity plus the government plus this plus that
- 1:18:17all combined of just Red c CoA and Red you know, mute and kind
- 1:18:21in the time that he's been dead. So when he comes back to life,
- 1:18:25he's like, yo, who am I going to be? Am I
- 1:18:28gonna be the peaceful Magneto who was on Cocoa trying to make it all work
- 1:18:31like Charles wanted. Am I gonna be my old school Agnito who's just wrecking
- 1:18:35shit? Or am I gonna be the vengeful you know, mutant Liberator Magneto
- 1:18:41who's doing ham and in the end he pretty much chooses it's time to red
- 1:18:45shit. And that feels like where they're going with this too, so episode
- 1:18:50fucking five man, that's all. Hats off, se y'all, that's everything,
- 1:18:56Ben, all right. We gotta make sure that we tell people appreciate
