- 0:17yourself a little bit
- 0:17of energy in this kind of crazy world that we're living in um
- 0:21i'm susan this is my
- 0:23SPEAKER_00: very good friend natalie yes natalie level so um
- 0:27we have decided to create something that we realized was
- 0:32missing for ourselves and
- 0:35something that we really wanted to share with others and that
- 0:37was a place that
- 0:39women could come to where you didn't have to feel like you had
- 0:42to be on or that you
- 0:44had to show up in a certain way but that you left every
- 0:49interaction with us
- 0:51SPEAKER_00: feeling lighter and brighter and happier and feeling more joy.
- 0:54SPEAKER_01: Uplifted.
- 0:55SPEAKER_01: There's so much heaviness.
- 0:57There's so much heaviness on the planet right now that I think
- 1:01joy now more than
- 1:02SPEAKER_01: ever is,
- 1:04SPEAKER_01: is a worthwhile,
- 1:05important and has to be an intentional conversation or else the
- 1:11joy will just get
- 1:12SPEAKER_01: sucked at everything.
- 1:12SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 1:13SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 1:14SPEAKER_01: It's the world is heavy.
- 1:15And so we're actually launching the Joy Jolt officially this
- 1:22Tuesday,
- 1:23which is super exciting.
- 1:24So we're going to be we're going to be putting out our first
- 1:27Joy Jolt podcast.
- 1:29SPEAKER_01: Natalie and I have been working together for a long time,
- 1:32SPEAKER_01: but this is our our first official go ahead.
- 1:34SPEAKER_01: And it just feels so good.
- 1:36SPEAKER_01: We've been having so much fun.
- 1:37SPEAKER_01: We have been having so much fun with you.
- 1:40SPEAKER_00: I was really going to say too much fun, but it's not too much fun.
- 1:43SPEAKER_00: No, no.
- 1:44SPEAKER_00: It's too much fun.
- 1:44SPEAKER_00: That's right.
- 1:45SPEAKER_00: That's right.
- 1:46SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 1:46SPEAKER_00: And I think too,
- 1:47SPEAKER_00: that like for,
- 1:48SPEAKER_00: for most women,
- 1:50SPEAKER_00: we,
- 1:50we kind of get caught up in the mundane of everything and going
- 1:53through the motions
- 1:53SPEAKER_00: and,
- 1:54SPEAKER_00: you know,
- 1:54SPEAKER_00: and in our personal lives,
- 1:56SPEAKER_00: and this is what I realized,
- 1:57SPEAKER_00: I mean,
- 1:57SPEAKER_00: in my personal life,
- 1:58SPEAKER_00: I've got a lot going on.
- 1:59SPEAKER_00: I mean, I just woke up with my boyfriend.
- 2:01I've got businesses going,
- 2:04things like,
- 2:05there's just a ton of stuff going on.
- 2:07SPEAKER_00: And then I look out into the world and
- 2:09SPEAKER_00: And I'm like, oh my goodness, are we going into World War III right now?
- 2:12I know Susan and I love doing this and we're having fun doing
- 2:18it,
- 2:18but I'm like,
- 2:19is it frivolous?
- 2:20SPEAKER_00: Is it meaningless?
- 2:21SPEAKER_00: Because there's so many serious things happening.
- 2:24SPEAKER_00: And I was actually talking to my girlfriend,
- 2:27SPEAKER_00: Dr.
- 2:27SPEAKER_00: Laura Berman,
- 2:28who we're going to have as one of our special guests leading up
- 2:31to the community.
- 2:32SPEAKER_00: And she goes, no, she goes, it is more important than ever.
- 2:35SPEAKER_00: Because it's that part of us that sometimes we forget to connect with.
- 2:40SPEAKER_01: For real.
- 2:41SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 2:41SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 2:42SPEAKER_01: And talk about connection.
- 2:43SPEAKER_01: Sherry, this is our first live.
- 2:45SPEAKER_01: And so are you able to type in the chat functionality?
- 2:49SPEAKER_01: I'm just kind of curious to see if you're able to say hello.
- 2:52SPEAKER_01: And if you're out there, where are you coming from?
- 2:55And that'll kind of give us some perspective about how
- 2:58connected this all is,
- 3:00SPEAKER_01: this live,
- 3:00SPEAKER_01: this space.
- 3:02Because I think that's one of the things I feel like with all
- 3:06of the bombardment of
- 3:08SPEAKER_01: all of the noise and the social media,
- 3:10SPEAKER_01: that even though we have more coming at us,
- 3:13SPEAKER_01: it's like I feel disconnected from what elevates me,
- 3:18SPEAKER_01: lifts me up,
- 3:18SPEAKER_01: and I have to be a lot more intentional.
- 3:21about making sure I'm surrounding myself with loving,
- 3:24nourishing,
- 3:25and uplifting people.
- 3:26SPEAKER_01: And that's what the Joy Jolt community is about.
- 3:31And the Joy Jolt is very personal for me because it is a method
- 3:37that I have used in
- 3:38SPEAKER_01: my family and with my kids,
- 3:41SPEAKER_01: and I use it with other people.
- 3:42SPEAKER_01: I mean, it is about...
- 3:43how I own my own joy and then jolt it over to the person next
- 3:47to just a reminder
- 3:48SPEAKER_01: that your joy is your life force.
- 3:51SPEAKER_01: Your joy is your energy.
- 3:54SPEAKER_01: And everybody's like, oh, I want to I want more energy.
- 3:57SPEAKER_01: I'm lacking energy.
- 3:58SPEAKER_01: Well, you're lacking energy because you're lacking joy.
- 4:01SPEAKER_01: So this is gonna give you more energy.
- 4:03SPEAKER_01: You're gonna feel more, just more alive.
- 4:07And I think now more than ever remembering that even though the
- 4:10world is a heavy
- 4:11SPEAKER_01: place,
- 4:11SPEAKER_01: your life is important and it's sacred and it's a gift.
- 4:17SPEAKER_01: And so I'm excited about being in this conversation.
- 4:21SPEAKER_01: Not just with you, but with whoever's going to be joining our team.
- 4:24SPEAKER_00: Like sharing the conversation and sharing the energy.
- 4:27SPEAKER_00: You know,
- 4:28we often will comment that every time we leave a conversation
- 4:31with each other,
- 4:32SPEAKER_00: we feel better.
- 4:33SPEAKER_00: We feel like we're resonating at a whole other frequency.
- 4:36um and so we want to share that and and what we're also
- 4:40creating it's not like it's
- 4:41a commitment it's not like you have to come in there's certain
- 4:44steps and things
- 4:44that you have to do it is a space that you can come in and out
- 4:48of as often as you
- 4:49need to as much as you like you can listen to us through the
- 4:53little audio things
- 4:54and the podcast you can watch some of the videos um you can
- 4:58read the articles so
- 4:59SPEAKER_00: we're coming in in all different forms
- 5:02But we were very intentional about making sure that we created
- 5:05this space on Substack.
- 5:07Because there's no distractions,
- 5:09there's no ads,
- 5:10there's no,
- 5:11you know,
- 5:12animosity.
- 5:12And even when people disagree on this platform,
- 5:15they're doing it respectfully.
- 5:17SPEAKER_00: And I'm like, oh, I can't, I just can't with the other platform.
- 5:22SPEAKER_01: So,
- 5:22SPEAKER_01: yeah,
- 5:22the other platform just feels so chaotic and so like they're
- 5:25trying to seep in the
- 5:27SPEAKER_01: other.
- 5:27SPEAKER_01: You can come here and really,
- 5:28I think the biggest piece is that we're desiring to just be an
- 5:33invitation for
- 5:35SPEAKER_01: people to come and be uplifted.
- 5:37SPEAKER_01: And we want to be a space that says that's the important conversation.
- 5:42SPEAKER_01: It's not fluffy to feel good.
- 5:45SPEAKER_01: that we need to anchor back into that thing that we kind of lose,
- 5:48SPEAKER_01: which is connection to ourselves.
- 5:51And that we want to be a space where we really are advocating
- 5:55for people to feel
- 5:56SPEAKER_01: good because,
- 5:56SPEAKER_00: hi,
- 5:57SPEAKER_01: you deserve to feel good.
- 5:59SPEAKER_01: Even in a world that doesn't always feel good.
- 6:02SPEAKER_01: And in a world that's, wow, we're living in the Jetsons.
- 6:08SPEAKER_01: And so it's not just focusing on the realities,
- 6:12SPEAKER_01: but it's about seeing the realities,
- 6:14SPEAKER_01: but then choosing to find a way to reconnect with
- 6:17SPEAKER_01: myself and my center.
- 6:18SPEAKER_01: So I'm excited about everything that we have coming ahead.
- 6:21We're going to be launching our first podcast on,
- 6:25I believe,
- 6:25Tuesday or Thursday this week.
- 6:28SPEAKER_01: And then we'll be doing weekly podcasts that people can tune into.
- 6:31We're going to,
- 6:32of course,
- 6:32have the lives where we can interact with people.
- 6:35SPEAKER_01: And we're going to just be given joy jolts, right?
- 6:38SPEAKER_01: We're going to be
- 6:40And we're also going to be bringing in special guests for the
- 6:43people who join the community.
- 6:44SPEAKER_00: So people like Dr. Laura Berman, who's an amazing sex expert.
- 6:48We've got women and doctors that are coming in and talking
- 6:51about menopause.
- 6:52SPEAKER_00: I've got,
- 6:52SPEAKER_00: you know,
- 6:53a friend of mine that was my dating coach that helped me meet
- 6:56someone in my 50s in
- 6:58SPEAKER_00: LA,
- 6:59SPEAKER_00: which is quite the feat.
- 7:01SPEAKER_00: Talking about all different kinds of subjects,
- 7:03but something that's always going to be very relevant to who we
- 7:06are at this time of
- 7:07SPEAKER_00: our life.
- 7:08SPEAKER_01: Yes, this is an uplifted, joyful space.
- 7:11SPEAKER_01: We need that in the world.
- 7:13It's about intentionally saying I deserve to feel good and
- 7:16being a part of this
- 7:16SPEAKER_01: community will certainly advocate for you to feel more joy,
- 7:21to feel uplifted and to just take a little bit of the weight
- 7:25that is of this world
- 7:26SPEAKER_01: off your shoulders.
- 7:28SPEAKER_01: So we're super excited that we did our first live.
- 7:31SPEAKER_01: Look at us now.
- 7:32SPEAKER_01: We'll give each other a high five.
- 7:34SPEAKER_01: Sherry, you're out there.
- 7:35SPEAKER_01: You were holding it as the, as the, as the one individual that was there.
- 7:39So we're super glad that you're here and hope that you're a
- 7:41part of the community.
- 7:42SPEAKER_01: And we look forward to sharing more joy with you and many others.
- 7:47SPEAKER_00: Bye now.
- 7:47SPEAKER_00: Bye.
