Latest / AI for Founders with Ryan Estes / Podcast DJ: The Cliff Notes for Your Podcast Queue
Transcript
- 0:00Are you collecting podcasts? Are you hoarding podcasts?
- 0:03How many episodes are sitting in your queue right now untouched?
- 0:07Most founders don't have an information problem, they have a
- 0:09time to signal problem. Because the best insight from a
- 0:122 hour podcast might be 90 seconds long.
- 0:15The rest is noise, banter, setup, ego.
- 0:18And it's great. But what if you could skip
- 0:20straight to the parts that actually change how you think?
- 0:23Not summaries, not bullet points, the real voices, the
- 0:26real moments. Just compressed.
- 0:28It's like having a DJ for your brain, dropping only the
- 0:31insights worth remembering. Now think about this.
- 0:34As a founder. You're trying to figure out
- 0:35hiring or pricing or how to raise your next round of
- 0:38searching Google. You pull from hundreds of
- 0:40podcast conversations instantly curated to what you care about.
- 0:45Now, what the host thinks matters, what you think matters.
- 0:48And over time, your podcast DJ can learn what you save, what
- 0:51you replay, what actually hits. So it stops being a podcast
- 0:55player and becomes your personal knowledge engine.
- 0:58You're no longer consuming and content, you're extracting
- 1:01leverage. And Kevin from Snipt, the
- 1:03world's best podcast player, has created exactly that, a podcast
- 1:08DJ. If your future is shaped by what
- 1:10you pay attention to, are you designing your inputs or letting
- 1:13them design you? Welcome to AI for founders.
- 1:16I'm Ryan Estes. Today you're going to learn how
- 1:18Kevin from Snipt is rethinking how we consume information,
- 1:21turning podcasts into personalized high signal
- 1:24learning systems. This is for founders who want to
- 1:26move faster, think clearer, and build with better inputs than
- 1:29ever everyone else. And if you want more ideas like
- 1:32this, go to aiforfounders.co and grab the newsletter.
- 1:35It's where founders are quietly building unfair advantages.
- 1:38It's free, it's sharp, it compounds.
- 1:41And if this made you think, leave a review that feels like a
- 1:43signal and a quick word from our sponsor inbox. alchemy.co is the
- 1:48number one distribution motion for founders.
- 1:50Because building an audience with e-mail means you own it for
- 1:54life. No algorithms, no reach drops,
- 1:56no platform risk. They help you grow a targeted
- 1:59audience of your ideal customers with 20,000 subscribers
- 2:02delivered in your first six months.
- 2:04Weekly founder LED newsletters written for you, with you and as
- 2:08you. This isn't content, it's
- 2:10leverage. Go to inboxalchemy.co and start
- 2:13building the one asset no one can take from you.
- 2:15All right, Kevin, welcome back to the show.
- 2:21Thank you so much for joining me.
- 2:23Hi, Brian. Yeah, great to be back.
- 2:25Yeah, so for folks that didn't catch our first episode, we're
- 2:29talking to Kevin, the founder CEO of Snipped.
- 2:31That's snipd.com. And if you don't have it, stop
- 2:35this podcast right now. Go to snip.com and download the
- 2:39world's best podcast player now since I've spoke to Kevin the
- 2:43first time and we'll put that in the show notes again so you can
- 2:46learn all about the origin story of Snipped.
- 2:49I I use Snipped everyday. It's absolutely amazing.
- 2:52And not only is discoverability like super easy to find the kind
- 2:55of podcast you want, the kind of podcast that you learn from on a
- 2:58daily basis, but there's some amazing features that you
- 3:01literally can't find anywhere else.
- 3:03One is actually creating real time notes.
- 3:05So you just tap your Airpods and it, it, it, it pulls a snip of
- 3:10that podcast part. So basically what you're doing
- 3:12is creating all these short snippets of all the best
- 3:15insights from the podcast that drive your your life.
- 3:18They drive your business, they drive your relationships.
- 3:21It's absolutely brilliant. So Kevin, I'm, I'm so glad
- 3:23you're here to talk about some really new cool features from
- 3:27Snip. So start us off.
- 3:28What have you been working on, Sir?
- 3:32Well, first of all, that was a great summary.
- 3:34We have to use you for our marketing.
- 3:38So we, we've been, we've been working on an amazing new
- 3:41feature, we call it AIDJ. And basically in a IDJ, you can
- 3:47activate the AIDJ anytime you listen to a podcast episode and
- 3:51what it will do, it will guide you through the best moments of
- 3:54a podcast episode. So this is for all of these
- 3:57episodes. I don't know how it is for you,
- 3:59but let me, let me maybe start with my, my situation.
- 4:03I have more than 400 podcast episodes queued up and every
- 4:08single day they're more and more coming, coming in.
- 4:12They all sound so incredible. I would love to listen to all of
- 4:15them, but the reality is I do not have enough time.
- 4:19And in the past I've tried out summaries.
- 4:22But look, the the reality is summaries if created like
- 4:25independent of whether they're created by AI or humans, it it
- 4:29will never replace the real actual thing.
- 4:33And AIDJ is basically now our solution to this problem where
- 4:38for all of those episodes where you know you won't get around to
- 4:42listening to them, but you still want to get something out of it,
- 4:44you still want to hear the best moments, you can now start
- 4:48listening to it. Get activate AIDJ, and the AIDJ
- 4:53will jump in. It's an AI voice.
- 4:55It will analyze the episode, identify the best moments of the
- 5:00episode, and then guide you through them 1 by 1.
- 5:03Incredible. I love it and it makes total
- 5:05sense because so many of the podcasts I listen for for
- 5:08information, sometimes I get a little bit bored with the
- 5:11banter, you know what I mean? These guys will start like, I
- 5:14mean, the All in podcast, you know, those guys will start
- 5:16ribbing on each other or they're talking about their billionaire
- 5:19problems. And I'm just like, dude, let's
- 5:21get to the note or let's get to the news part.
- 5:23Like give me the information that's making you guys lose
- 5:25sleep at night. I'm interested in that, you
- 5:28know, So what a brilliant idea. Now it it's kind of like it has
- 5:31a kind of historical precedence too.
- 5:33It's like the Cliff Notes, you know, When I was a student, it's
- 5:36like I couldn't read Shakespeare.
- 5:38I would get lost. I can't understand the language.
- 5:40So I get the Cliff Notes which gives me the highlights so I can
- 5:43stick with the plot. Yeah, yeah.
- 5:47I mean, here, I think the most important thing here is I'm not
- 5:50100% actually familiar with the, with the Cliff Notes format, but
- 5:54I think really one big distinction to a lot of other
- 5:57things that have been tried in the past is really that you are
- 6:00still listening to the actual podcast, the actual episode.
- 6:03So in the all in podcast, you're still listening to the four
- 6:06billionaires or, you know, not all of them are billionaires.
- 6:12And, you know, you actually get to hear the original voices, the
- 6:15original intonation, the jokes, all of the the little details
- 6:19that that make podcast so great. But yeah, it's really, it jumps
- 6:24to the moments that are the most relevant, most important.
- 6:26And with that, you can like basically the promise that we're
- 6:29making is you can get through a podcast episode at 25% the
- 6:35duration, which means that you can now listen to four times as
- 6:38many podcast episodes. I love it.
- 6:41Well, and you know, for some of us who are used to listening to
- 6:43our podcast at 1.5 speed or 2.2 point speed, if you're really
- 6:48feeling, feeling alert, you know, this actually, you know,
- 6:51is an order of magnitude greater than that.
- 6:53And another great case is like Rogan, you know, Rogan is, it is
- 6:57notorious because he'll have really random guests on
- 7:00sometimes that nobody's ever heard of.
- 7:02And it's like, well, do I want to invest 3 hours into this guy?
- 7:05So you could pop in this, it'll give you the highlights.
- 7:08And then you like, oh, actually I do, you know, and then you
- 7:11come back and you can listen to the whole thing.
- 7:13So it's just an absolute brilliant idea.
- 7:15So I'd love to peek back the curtain a little bit and kind of
- 7:19learn how, you know, you're determining what are the
- 7:22highlights in the episode? How do you kind of using AI to
- 7:25determine what are the bright spots that are going to be kind
- 7:27of maybe, you know, outline really the, the, the bulk of of
- 7:33the episode itself? Yeah, yeah.
- 7:36So it's also the episode. Sorry.
- 7:39The AI gets access to the entire episode and knows the basically
- 7:42gets the entire transcript. Who are the guests?
- 7:45We, we enrich it with some meta information about the guests,
- 7:48the shows. And now the AI is basically
- 7:52tasked to identify what is the main theme of the episode, what
- 7:57is really the core at the core of it?
- 7:59What are the core takeaways, the core insights?
- 8:02And then go through the episode and identify where do they talk
- 8:05about it. And then in a final step,
- 8:08actually try to create a coherent listening experience
- 8:11for you because that is one of the most important things in
- 8:13audio. Like it's so if you were just
- 8:16listening to random clips, 1 after another without anything
- 8:21else, it's very disorienting because it's not like being on
- 8:24TikTok. Like basically if you're on
- 8:26TikTok, a lot of the information is communicated via visual.
- 8:32Yeah, via via images and you don't have that in audio, so it
- 8:38can be very disorienting. And like all of this context
- 8:42switching can feel quite annoying.
- 8:45So basically the last task of the AI is to identify those
- 8:49clips that that work together well and then create segways
- 8:55between them. Create an intro to understand to
- 8:58understand what the next highlight is.
- 8:59OK, so create an intro. So is there actually like a
- 9:02narrator? Yes, so you can think of the
- 9:05AIDJ as as basically a moderator.
- 9:08So the AIDJ will come on, it will give you a very quick
- 9:11global introduction of the entire episode.
- 9:13Who are the guests? What show is this on and what
- 9:16will they be talking about? And then introduce each
- 9:20highlight clip. And at the very end you even get
- 9:23an outro. Basically, at the very end, it
- 9:25gives you like just as a quick reminder, like here are one or
- 9:28two things that you should be taking away from this episode
- 9:32and not forget. Love it.
- 9:34You know, it's, it's so interesting how like
- 9:36entertainment is cyclical because it's like now you want a
- 9:40DJ to help curate the information and, and trim away
- 9:43the fat, which is very similar to like in the 50s, like the 50s
- 9:47and 60s where you had these amazing DJs with the cool DJ
- 9:50voices that were bringing you the music, you know, but in
- 9:53between they'd have like the little intros and outros and
- 9:56they, they, they were basically, you know, filtering everything
- 10:00out. They're like, this is the good
- 10:01stuff. Here you go, you know, give you
- 10:04the the weather and traffic, you know what I mean?
- 10:07Yeah. I mean, 11 comparison or analogy
- 10:09that I really like is if you think about sports, you know, if
- 10:15you know, I'm personally, you know, I grew up in Europe, I'm
- 10:18big into what we call football, what you call soccer.
- 10:22And a match is 90 minutes long, You know, like together with all
- 10:24of the, the, the half time and, and everything that's around,
- 10:28it's like, it's like 2 hours of your time that that goes into
- 10:32it. And that is amazing.
- 10:34You know, for the big match that you're really looking forward
- 10:36to, you're going to sit there, you're going to watch the entire
- 10:39two hours, maybe with your friends.
- 10:41It's going to be an incredible experience.
- 10:44But then at the same time on the same day, there were ten other
- 10:47matches going on that you'd also love to still like, you still
- 10:51want to see the highlights, right?
- 10:52But you're not going to watch 10 * 220 hours of additional match
- 10:57content, right? So the way that I see see the
- 11:01world is, is this is not an either or.
- 11:03It's not like, oh, now you should be listening to every
- 11:06podcast with the AIDJ. No, but you should continue to
- 11:09listen to the the podcast that you're really looking forward to
- 11:13in full length, but all of these other ones where you still want
- 11:16to get the highlights. Now you can add those to your to
- 11:19your listening as well. Love it, you know, and it it
- 11:22kind of taps into the the TikTok brain that we're all fighting
- 11:26against right now, you know, like I am like really doing the
- 11:30best I can to stay off the doom scrolling.
- 11:32You know, whether it's YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, it is just an
- 11:37absolute black hole that I'll fall into.
- 11:39And it's, it's an interesting kind of trance.
- 11:43And I guess interesting is being generous.
- 11:44It makes me feel depleted and terrible, to be totally honest.
- 11:48And I have a great algorithm. Like my algorithm on TikTok is
- 11:52like jujitsu matches and fly tying and 90s basketball
- 11:57highlights. It's like it's good.
- 11:59And that's the problem is that I'll get stuck into that.
- 12:02And you know, there's nothing wrong with that.
- 12:04It's kind of like it's own TV channel, but it feels like it
- 12:08depreciates my vision. Like it feel, I feel like I have
- 12:11a hard time like like focusing after that.
- 12:14It kind of also takes my presence away from my home, you
- 12:18know, So if I'm with my family, it's like I'm in TikTok land,
- 12:22you know. So I think a lot of people are
- 12:23feeling this way. That's like, oh boy, I just get
- 12:26sucked into my phone and two hours disappears and they're
- 12:28looking for alternatives. And I think that this is perfect
- 12:31because the difference is, is where there's, there's a
- 12:34creative podcast or there's a creative process that happens
- 12:37when you're listening to podcasts, particularly on the,
- 12:39the, the kind of podcast that you designed, snipped for, which
- 12:43is when people are going to these shows for tools and
- 12:47resources to enrich their life to, to contribute to human
- 12:51flourishing. So there's like an exchange
- 12:53that's happening because you're getting information and it's
- 12:55just, it's just throwing sparks in your brain And it's like,
- 12:59it's a building communitive process.
- 13:01And so instead of like entertainment, which might be
- 13:05the other scrolling apps, which is kind of seems seems to like
- 13:08be more of a consumption, this is much more of a constructive
- 13:12building process in my opinion. This episode is brought to you
- 13:17by a dangerous idea. It's called reading,
- 13:19specifically the AI for Founders newsletter. 47,000 founders
- 13:24strong now and it's the good stuff.
- 13:26No top ten AI tools that will change your life written by
- 13:29someone who doesn't ship product.
- 13:31It's just real breakdowns of what's actually working in AI,
- 13:34who's raised, who failed, who pivoted, and which founders
- 13:38quietly built $1,000,000 in ARR while everyone else was arguing
- 13:42on X. It's written for people building
- 13:44with AI every week. You get tactical frameworks,
- 13:47unfair advantages, breakdowns of real companies, and the
- 13:50occasional existential question about whether your startup is
- 13:53intelligent or just, well, branded.
- 13:55It's free, It's sharp. It might mildly offend your
- 13:57current workflow. Go to aiforfounders.co and
- 14:00subscribe before your competitor does, because the only thing
- 14:03worse than being replaced by AI is being replaced by a founder
- 14:07who reads. That's the newsletter at AI for
- 14:09founders.co. Now back to the show.
- 14:14This episode is brought to you by Moberst, the AI first growth

- 15:23Burst. Visit moburst.com and Let's
- 15:26build something category defining together.
- 15:32Yeah, yeah, I see it the exact same way.
- 15:36And that is exactly why we built Snipped in the first place for
- 15:39all of these incredible podcasts that are out there that are not
- 15:42just about distracting you from the real world, but they're
- 15:46actually there to provide you with valuable information.
- 15:51The building blocks that help you in your life and give you,
- 15:55give you a lot of knowledge at the end of the day.
- 16:00And and that's the incredible thing.
- 16:02It's still nonetheless being entertaining.
- 16:04It's still an enjoyable process. It's not like having to go back
- 16:08to school where you would just all the time waiting for the
- 16:11belter ring. It's it's a, it's an incredible
- 16:16mixture that that that was created in, in podcast where
- 16:19just like it seems like from every angle, it sort of came
- 16:22together to have this, this great mixture of being
- 16:26informative and valuable like this.
- 16:29No etching, no etching, no, what am I nutritious?
- 16:37Let's use that word, but at the same time still being
- 16:43entertaining and enjoyable. Totally.
- 16:47Yeah, it's amazing. And again, thank you for Snip.
- 16:50I absolutely love it. I mean, particularly and I I
- 16:54found myself, I use it very specifically for these kind of
- 16:56podcasts and it almost becomes like a separate playlist that I
- 17:00have that I can go to, you know, in similar way, like if I go to
- 17:03Spotify, I have my playlist. It's like I know Snip is like my
- 17:06my my business podcasts, you know, where I can have like I
- 17:10have Lenny's on there and the startup ideas podcast and all in
- 17:15and Alex and Lela Hamase and my podcast and like I'm I'm just
- 17:20pulling from them ready startup Huberman lab, how I built This
- 17:25American Life, like all the stuff I want to be tapped into
- 17:28the Glenn show, you know, so I can have all those in one place
- 17:31because I subscribed to so many different podcasts.
- 17:34And so now if I use a different podcast player, that's probably
- 17:38that's more for like end of the day, you know, where I'm like, I
- 17:41just kind of want to check out and put on some like Old West
- 17:44podcasts and learn about Kit Carson and what he was doing
- 17:47tromping around in the southwest.
- 17:49Great. You know, I'm not necessarily
- 17:50like trying to like save snippets of that to like help me
- 17:54the next day. But now snip has really become
- 17:56kind of my go to, which is really, really cool.
- 17:58And I I love it for that reason. So as a podcaster, what can I do
- 18:04to help tee up the best parts for the the the DJ?
- 18:09Because I think this feature is going to be copied very quickly.
- 18:13You're first to market with this, so everybody should go get
- 18:15it now while, you know, this is the only place you can.
- 18:17But I think it's going to be a very popular feature.
- 18:20And as a host, what I want to be able to do is give the good
- 18:23parts very obviously to the DJ, which would basically be just
- 18:28edit me out completely and then just intro basically become my
- 18:32Co host with the DJ. Is there ways that podcasters
- 18:35can kind of tee up the best spots?
- 18:38It's an interesting question. I haven't thought about that too
- 18:40much. I would argue the best thing for
- 18:44the podcast host to do is the same thing as it as it's always
- 18:48been. It's create valuable, amazing
- 18:50content. So with respect to tying out
- 18:56like the best moment like that, that's one of the interesting
- 18:58things. And maybe we can, we can talk
- 18:59about that in the context of what, what are we trying to do?
- 19:02Like what's the bigger vision of the AIDJ?
- 19:05Because this is actually just the first feature of our bigger
- 19:08vision. Because what the best moment or
- 19:11the most valuable insight of an episode is might be different
- 19:15for me than it is for you, right?
- 19:18And that makes it actually very difficult for you as the host to
- 19:21say no, no, no, look, this is this is the most important
- 19:24moment of this entire episode because it might be very
- 19:27different for for very different users.
- 19:30So in this very first feature that we now released, you are
- 19:34actually getting the same highlights as as everyone else.
- 19:38But in the future versions, what we're really working towards is
- 19:42the AIDJ becoming this personalized and customizable AI
- 19:46agent that goes out and finds the best content for you and
- 19:50curates it. So for any episode.
- 19:54So starting with just on an episode level, it will know, OK,
- 19:56what are the insights that you usually care about?
- 20:00And it will select those for you.
- 20:02And if it doesn't do the job that you wanted to do, you can
- 20:05just tell it. So you will be able to just
- 20:08prompt it in natural language and say, Hey, you know what, for
- 20:11Lenny's podcast, for example, I always want to have the the
- 20:14lightning round at the end or like the, the, the books that,
- 20:18that get recommended because for someone else might be, no, I'm,
- 20:21I'm, I'm not interested in that. But for you, that's really
- 20:23important. So it will always select that
- 20:25for you. But then the next step, and
- 20:28that's something that that we're that we're actually working on
- 20:31now is the the next release is I, you just mentioned it
- 20:36yourself. Like you're subscribed to a lot
- 20:39of podcasts, like me myself, I'm subscribed to at least 100 shows
- 20:42out there. Most of the time I end up just
- 20:46listening to the same, you know, 345 shows that I'm sort of
- 20:51geared towards and but every now and and that that is sort of
- 20:55fine. But every now and then I notice,
- 20:57hey, there was actually an incredible episode on one of the
- 21:00shows that I am subscribed to, but I entirely missed it.
- 21:03And what we're trying to do here is again, the AIDJ actually not
- 21:07just going through a single episode, but going through all
- 21:10of the episodes that you're subscribed to, all of the shows
- 21:13and then finding, Hey, you know what from last week, these are
- 21:17it will go through all of the episodes that you haven't
- 21:19listened to and being like, hey, here are some great insights for
- 21:22you that you missed last week. Here's a digest, one hour long.
- 21:28You'll get the six best, best highlights.
- 21:30And you can now listen to that on, you know, Sunday evening to
- 21:33to wrap up your week. I love that.
- 21:36Yeah. So I could I could say like,
- 21:38hey, right now I'm really interested in peptides.
- 21:40So if anything through my podcast feed is mentioning
- 21:43peptides, it sends to the top of the list.
- 21:45Like, hey, this is actually a doctor is doing an hour on
- 21:48peptides. You totally missed it and it can
- 21:50bring it to the top of your queue.
- 21:51I love that, you know, so you can start to guide because you
- 21:55know, that's The thing is that you you only have so much
- 21:56attention and willpower. And honestly, like if you have a
- 21:59couple of favourites, you're just going to be like, there's
- 22:0112 episodes, but I'm just going to go back to Harmazi because I
- 22:04want that juice this morning, you know, which is which is, and
- 22:09it's interesting, you talked about context too, which is,
- 22:12which is huge because it feels like AI is getting better.
- 22:15But like if you talk about like making clips for the podcast,
- 22:18you have Opus clips, you got descript, you got fireside,
- 22:21you've got all these different things that will create the
- 22:23video clips for you. And part of the the problem is
- 22:27like a lot of times it's a little frustrating because
- 22:28you're like one or two of those were good, but also some of them
- 22:32weren't as good. Now what's interesting about
- 22:34Snipped is you have a massive context window of thousands of
- 22:40people creating thousands of clips on podcasts.
- 22:43So is there a way to like, say like AI had 12 people that snip
- 22:47this part in Lenny's podcast? So we're going to the DJ is
- 22:50going to prioritize that because it's getting validated from
- 22:53other people. Exactly, that is one of the
- 22:55biggest. Like we're actually the only
- 22:57podcast app in the world that has the data of knowing which
- 23:02moments of an episode inside of an episode, which moments were
- 23:05the most valuable to the users because we have the snipping
- 23:08functionality. Every time an incredible moment
- 23:11happens, the user tapped their headphones to save it.
- 23:14And this is exactly what we can feedback into the algorithm to
- 23:17make the selection much more valuable to the user and also
- 23:21personalize it. So the 1 is basically the, the
- 23:23call it the hive brain, the entire community realizing like,
- 23:27oh, here, this is the most snipped moment of this, of this
- 23:30episode, but also the personalization aspect of well,
- 23:34you know, you always save these, the, the book recommendations on
- 23:39Lenny. So we, we better incorporate
- 23:41them here. And it's, it's interesting, like
- 23:46you mentioned, obost clip and and D script and all of these,
- 23:49all of these tools which are amazing.
- 23:51If you're a podcast creator, I really recommend trying them
- 23:53out. However, there's one fundamental
- 23:57shift which I believe will happen in the future independent
- 24:02of us, and that is that if you as a podcast creator use Opus
- 24:06Clip, it is basically the same as what you were describing
- 24:10earlier. Like you are you as the host are
- 24:13deciding which moments are the most valuable and then you're
- 24:16putting them, putting them out there.
- 24:19But I believe in the future it will be you, the user that will
- 24:22have control. You will be able to talk to the
- 24:25algorithm and also customize it in natural language.
- 24:29And the AI agent that works for you will be able to select the
- 24:33clips that are most valuable to you.
- 24:35And the a a agent will know you the best.
- 24:38So this is something that I believe is a fundamental shift
- 24:41that will slowly start to happen.
- 24:44And you can see other media platforms also starting to talk
- 24:47about this. And basically this AIDJ feature
- 24:51is already going that in that direction.
- 24:54So cool. And I'm just kind of wrapping my
- 24:57head around it, you know, like, as we're talking here, because
- 24:59it's almost like it becomes like Wikipedia, you know, where
- 25:02you're like, I want this kind of information right now and go to
- 25:07my, the podcast that I subscribe and, and love and, and pull out
- 25:11the information that's germane to where, where I'm at right
- 25:14now, which is incredible. I mean, it's, yeah.
- 25:17You can imagine if you're a founder, you know, it's the
- 25:19first time that you're hiring a lot of people.
- 25:23You'll in the future be able to go to your AIDJ and tell it,
- 25:25hey, can you get me all of the hiring advice from some of the
- 25:29most successful entrepreneurs out there?
- 25:31Like pick them from my favorite podcast, right, The Ivory over
- 25:34CEO Lenny Legs, whatever, whatever your favorite shows
- 25:38are. And then you're the AIDJ will go
- 25:41out there, find them for you and play them.
- 25:44Yeah. Totally.
- 25:46It's great. I just, I'll be like, I just
- 25:48want to hear all Bill Burr rants.
- 25:50Just I want Bill Burr completely losing his mind, just pulling
- 25:54all out for me. OK.
- 25:57How much time do you have? Yeah, exactly.
- 26:01We're like, we have 96 hours for you.
- 26:03Like, oh great. This is going to be an awesome
- 26:05week, man. So cool.
- 26:08What else is coming down the pipe?
- 26:09Is there anything you can discuss now?
- 26:13So we're really, we're really locked into the AIDJ this, this
- 26:16vision what we're what I just described.
- 26:19So this is really what we're focused on right now.
- 26:21And I would say the other things are more small topics and around
- 26:26that. Amazing.
- 26:27OK, I want to make sure we talk about all the features now.
- 26:30What I love about Snipped is a very elegant app you can just
- 26:33put on. It'll play a podcast like you're
- 26:35used to no problem, but has all these additional features.
- 26:39If you're interested in that with podcasts, we talked about a
- 26:42couple, but you can do it with audiobooks.
- 26:44You can do it on YouTube. You can export everything to
- 26:47Notion, which is super helpful, Not just Notion, you can export
- 26:52it all over the place. You can share your, you know,
- 26:55your snips with friends, colleagues, the the way that you
- 26:58share everything else. It creates transcripts.
- 27:02It creates a a list of mentioned books like you mentioned that
- 27:05Lenny always does. The you know, the five books are
- 27:07the books that you would pay for someone to have it.
- 27:10It'll it'll pull that for you. It takes quotes it got it does
- 27:15auto chapters, custom AI prompting as you, you talked
- 27:19about, it lists all the guests on the podcast and then you can
- 27:22search other podcasts by those guests, which I think is super
- 27:25helpful because a lot of times that's how you find great new
- 27:28podcasts is because they're guests on other people's shows.
- 27:31And then you're like, oh, what else are they doing?
- 27:32Oh, they have a podcast. Oh, they were on Huberman.
- 27:34Oh, you know, and you can start to to follow them around, which
- 27:37really reminds me of what I loved about music, you know, and
- 27:41how I learned about jazz in the beginning was because I would
- 27:44buy hip hop records and then you'd see the list of samples
- 27:47and you're like, oh, who's Roy Ayers, you know, who's Freddie
- 27:50Hubbard, you know, and then you go find them.
- 27:52And it, it's like this discovery process that podcast has been
- 27:55lacking for a long time. But I think you're really
- 27:58chiseling away at it of like, this is how you start to find
- 28:01your little niches in your little new shows is through the
- 28:04guest discovery. And of course, it has multiple
- 28:06languages, up to 26 different languages.
- 28:08Are there any other features that I'm missing here?
- 28:18Oh, I think, I think that was a quite comprehensive list. 01.
- 28:22No one, one feature that you forgot was the ability to chat
- 28:27with a podcast episode. So the same way that you can
- 28:30chat with chat to BT, if you have a question or you want to
- 28:33search for a certain moment or extract a certain quote out of
- 28:36it and you don't remember where it was, you can just chat with
- 28:39it like chat to BT. Yeah, which is super helpful
- 28:43when there is like the deep science episodes, you know,
- 28:46where, you know, halfway in there they mentioned this great
- 28:49recipe for a high protein pancake and you're like, I don't
- 28:53know where it was. It was somewhere in there
- 28:55between something else. You can just ask it, you know,
- 28:57hey, what was that recipe for high protein pancakes?
- 29:00Bang. You didn't get key stats out of
- 29:03it. Yeah.
- 29:05Also custom summaries, some people love having afterwards,
- 29:08like sort of a custom summary of it or other people that that are
- 29:12very, very specific about what do they want to get out of the
- 29:15podcast episode. You can ask that beforehand,
- 29:18like, hey, will they actually cover this topic because this is
- 29:21what I what, what I care about. And then you jump directly into
- 29:23that moment. Amazing.
- 29:25We're going to keep this short and sweet and I will post our
- 29:28original podcast episode in the show notes, which is awesome
- 29:31because it really goes into the how and the why and the where in
- 29:35a big way, because Zurich plays a, a big part in the development
- 29:40of what you've been working on and also your friends, which I
- 29:43who I've gotten to know a little bit through this podcast.
- 29:46So I really appreciate you making those introductions.
- 29:48That's been super cool to see what everybody's doing there in
- 29:51Switzerland, which also seems like kind of tip of the spear
- 29:54and what's going on in, in technology right now.
- 29:57I know you had a baby recently, so congratulations there.
- 30:00Have you found any? Have you found any good
- 30:02parenting podcasts or perhaps something more baby oriented
- 30:06that you've been listening? To actually, I haven't been.
- 30:12I haven't started with a parenting podcast yet, no.
- 30:19I never I never found a good parenting podcast.
- 30:22Currently relying mostly, I'm trying to rely mostly on my on
- 30:25my instincts. Oh, I did.
- 30:26I did listen to an audio book that I very much liked about
- 30:32Yeah, let's call it parenting. It's called the Book I Wish My
- 30:36Parents Had Read. Yeah.
- 30:39So listen to that on Snipped. Yeah, I can recommend that.
- 30:43Seems appropriate for our generation that we're all
- 30:45recovering from the boomers. Yeah.
- 30:49Boy, I wish they would have read this one.
- 30:53Amazing. Kevin, this is awesome.
- 30:55Everybody seriously, stop what you're doing.
- 30:57Hit pause right now. Go download snipped in the App
- 31:00Store. It's extraordinary.
- 31:02You'll love it and it's a great way to start fresh too.
- 31:05You know, if you if you've been listening to podcasts for a
- 31:07decade plus like most of us, you might just have so many podcasts
- 31:11you never listen to and and so you're missing the good stuff,
- 31:14you know, start over with the fresh podcast playlist on snip.
- 31:17I guarantee you're going to love it.
- 31:19I'm going to check out this DJ function today.

- 31:28One important information is it's currently only available
- 31:30for English podcasts, but I assume for everyone listening
- 31:33that will not be a not be a problem.
- 31:35Yeah and 11 addition for information.
- 31:39You you already have a have a link.
- 31:42Maybe you can add that to the show notes with with this link,

- 32:10premium. Kevin, this has been awesome.
- 32:12What's the best place that people can connect with you
- 32:14online? The best place is on Twitter.
- 32:18My user handle is Kevin Ben Smith.
- 32:21Kevin Ben Smith, tremendous. I really appreciate you coming
- 32:24back. Yeah, thanks for having me.
- 32:26It was amazing. You are about to spend anywhere
- 32:29from 100,000 to $300,000 on your kids college education, and
- 32:34that's not a small bet. And right now there's a very
- 32:36real chance that they graduate and can't find a job.
- 32:39Not because they weren't smart enough, not because they didn't
- 32:42work hard enough, but because the job market changed and
- 32:45nobody told them. Employers are hiring AI native
- 32:48candidates, people who don't just know their field, but know
- 32:51how to work with AI at a professional level.
- 32:53And most colleges are not teaching this.
- 32:55Not even close. AI native student.com is the
- 32:59program that fills that gap. It takes high school and college
- 33:02students and teaches them how to actually think and work with AI
- 33:05the way top companies expect on day one.
- 33:08So your investment in their degree actually pays off.
- 33:11You're already paying for tuition, housing, textbooks.
- 33:14This is the one thing that actually makes it all worth it.
- 33:17Go to ainativestudent.com because a diploma is a starting
- 33:20point. Being AI native is what gets
- 33:22them hired. That's AI native student.com.
