- 0:00We might be coming to you from on location.
- 0:05Yeah.
- 0:06I like how she says "might" as if she can't quite tell.
- 0:09We perhaps might be inside of a lighthouse.
- 0:12Woo!
- 0:13So I'm going to tell you guys some stories about the ghost that haunt this very building
- 0:18that we're sitting in right now.
- 0:20Where we slept the past two nights?
- 0:23Yeah, two nights two nights.
- 0:24I know what we're not.
- 0:25We're not.
- 0:26We're not from night one.
- 0:27It's interesting.
- 0:28Great.
- 0:29I love it when you say "interesting" with that evil glint in your eyes.
- 0:33I'm excited.
- 0:34[music]
- 0:40Hi, Caitlyn.
- 0:41Hi, Cassie.
- 0:42Hi, creepy people.
- 0:44Hello.
- 0:45We're actually, we're not alone today.
- 0:49We have a visitor and she's super cool.
- 0:52Her name is Cristina and she's from Espooky Tales.
- 0:56Hi.
- 0:57We're so excited to be here.
- 0:59We also have the ghost companions with us.
- 1:01We're like not alone alone.
- 1:03We have not been alone this whole weekend.
- 1:05We might be coming to you from on location.
- 1:09Yeah.
- 1:10I like how she says "might" as if she can't quite tell.
- 1:13We perhaps might be inside of a lighthouse.
- 1:16Yeah, I mean technically.
- 1:18Yeah, this was the lighthouse.
- 1:20So we're actually coming to you from Port Townsend, Washington.
- 1:25Correct.
- 1:26We are in Fort Worden State Park, which has many beach trails, a forest.
- 1:33It has eagles, it has deer's and bunnies.
- 1:36It's so freaking gorgeous here.
- 1:38You could see the ocean.
- 1:39What ocean is that?
- 1:40I don't know.
- 1:41Pacific.
- 1:42You're asking the wrong Pacific.
- 1:43Oh my god, duh.
- 1:44We're on the West Coast.
- 1:46So it's always the Pacific.
- 1:48I thought maybe I had like a special name.
- 1:51Like it was like, because we're like in a port.
- 1:54I mean technically we're in the Puget Sound area.
- 1:58That's what I was looking for.
- 2:00Yeah, yeah.
- 2:01So we can see Canadiah.
- 2:02What ocean do we have on our side of the country?
- 2:05Yes, we can literally see Canada from here.
- 2:08You guys are literally PNW Haunts and Homicides.
- 2:10I don't know what part of the world we're in right now.
- 2:14I don't know what ocean this is.
- 2:15We're disoriented.
- 2:16You're like, this isn't my usual subject matter, so it's confusing.
- 2:20I don't know anything about the United States, okay?
- 2:23On this fort, there are many historic buildings and museums
- 2:29and one very special lighthouse.
- 2:32Beautiful.
- 2:33Technically too.
- 2:34Yeah, we're actually staying in the Keepers duplex
- 2:37for the Point Wilson lighthouse.
- 2:39Should we talk about Mel?
- 2:40Yeah.
- 2:41Yeah.
- 2:42Good friend of the pod Amy actually introduced us via social media to Mel.
- 2:49Who is the keeper of the light?
- 2:52What a title.
- 2:53I know.
- 2:54Yeah, good stuff.
- 2:56So we connected with her so we could come up here
- 2:59and converge on the lighthouse property.
- 3:03We got a very exclusive tour of the lighthouse.
- 3:07Yeah, we did.
- 3:09Yeah.
- 3:10And the haunted buildings.
- 3:12And this, what does it called For Worden?
- 3:14Yeah.
- 3:15We just want to do warden.
- 3:17We just want to do warden.
- 3:18It's hard to say, fort warden.
- 3:21It's warden.
- 3:22It's warden.
- 3:23It's warden.
- 3:24Yeah.
- 3:25It's hard to say, the tea followed by the de...
- 3:27Yeah, it's a thing.
- 3:28It's tough for you.
- 3:30We went all the way up to the tippy top of the lighthouse
- 3:33and they had recently...
- 3:35I don't remember how recently she said they turned on their lens
- 3:38so that it's actually spinning now because I guess lighthouses
- 3:42don't do that anymore.
- 3:43Which is like, what?
- 3:44They have automated like a separate light outside of the lighthouse
- 3:48that's automated.
- 3:49That lights up.
- 3:50So this one, they're like...
- 3:52They said they're going to light it soon, right?
- 3:54Yeah.
- 3:55Yeah.
- 3:56And I think as she said, it was like very, very recent
- 3:58that it just started spinning.
- 3:59Yeah.
- 4:00Like if we had calm on the original days,
- 4:01it wouldn't have been spinning.
- 4:02Right.
- 4:03It's true.
- 4:04Yeah.
- 4:05Lots of things that could have played out differently
- 4:07if Cristina hadn't gotten COVID.
- 4:09So thank you for taking one for the team.
- 4:11Yeah.
- 4:12So we got to be sketchful.
- 4:13It feels like it was all worth it now.
- 4:14I think everything happened for a reason.
- 4:16You know?
- 4:17That's what my dad says all the time.
- 4:18And I'm like, no.
- 4:19But I don't like it.
- 4:20It's like a shitty one.
- 4:21It's like a really bad thing that happens.
- 4:23And people say that.
- 4:24But it's just like, kind of a good one.
- 4:25Yeah.
- 4:26That's not that bad.
- 4:27So.
- 4:28It's like, you were saying last night,
- 4:30is the thing grandparents say?
- 4:31Oh, yeah.
- 4:32I forget how it's phrased.
- 4:33But I mean, basically, you leave it up to God or it's in God's will.
- 4:40But like, all this finish, yeah.
- 4:41If God's willing and you're like, no, no, grandma.
- 4:44I said I was going to call you tomorrow and they're like,
- 4:46if God's willing, it's up to his lord and savior's grace.
- 4:49And I'm like, well, I just know what's up.
- 4:51So what you're saying is I'm already a grandma.
- 4:53Okay.
- 4:54God.
- 4:55God.
- 4:56God.
- 4:57Yeah.
- 4:58I guess that sums it up.
- 4:59Passed a goal.
- 5:00So we're actually going to hear from Mel from the past.
- 5:05We did a little recording from inside the light house.
- 5:08In.
- 5:09Sorry.
- 5:10Where she told us about some of the history.
- 5:11So I think I'm just going to insert that right here.
- 5:13So we're here with Mel, keeper of the light.
- 5:21And she's going to tell us a little bit about the history of this beautiful light house
- 5:26that we just walked all the way up to the tippy top of.
- 5:29Thank you for being here and welcome to Point Wilson Light Station.
- 5:32I am Mel the keeper.
- 5:34And what we're standing in is the 1913 Point Wilson Lighthouse.
- 5:37The original lighthouse was built in 1879, which is the unit that you're staying in.
- 5:42The keeper's duplex.
- 5:44And it was for various reasons, one of them being the need for a vogue horn signal.
- 5:49Built the current one that we're standing in, which is beautiful and very neat.
- 5:54We have our historic Fresnel lens.
- 5:56It's a fourth order lens.
- 5:58And it rotates and flashes red every 20 seconds.
- 6:01And so it's at the top.
- 6:03And soon we'll be able to rely our lamp, which is a neat thing.
- 6:07So you got to see it rotate.
- 6:09In 1913, the present tower that we're in and the fog signal building we're built.
- 6:14The light atop the keeper's house was moved to the new tower and new fog signals were installed.
- 6:19And in 1930, this baby got electricity.
- 6:22What did they do before the electricity?
- 6:27So before it was kerosene and WIC.
- 6:30There was a clockwork system in this lighthouse where they would kind of like a grandfather clock would pull.
- 6:37And it would rotate the lens.
- 6:40And at one point pre-electricity also, there was kerosene and lighthouses did use whale oil.
- 6:46I know.
- 6:49Thankfully we're in different times.
- 6:51But yeah, it was just a historical fact.
- 6:53And whales have rights now.
- 6:55They do have rights.
- 6:57Well, do have rights.
- 6:59Making up for the way.
- 7:01I did want to say that David M. Littlefield, who was the very first keeper in state in the keeper's duplex,
- 7:07it's always good to point out the keepers on the property, especially the first one.
- 7:12So shout out to the little fields.
- 7:15And you may or may not know this because it's sort of a historical thing.
- 7:19But it says that the light at point Wilson was extinguished during World War II for defense purposes.
- 7:28Was that something that they did nationwide?
- 7:31It was.
- 7:32The mission of the United States Lighthouse Society is to preserve and share the history and legacy of America's lighthouses and their keepers.
- 7:39So we're in the business of saving lighthouses.
- 7:41And hopefully this is a good platform or a launching pad for your listeners, as well as yourselves, to maybe go visit some lighthouses and show us some support.
- 7:51So next time you're there, maybe.
- 7:53So there are several lighthouses that you can actually stay in.
- 8:00One of them obviously is ours.
- 8:03It's overnight vacation rentals.
- 8:04But we also have the Dungeon S spit lighthouse, which is located at the tip of the Dungeon S spit, which is the largest sand spit in North America.
- 8:12And you can sign up to be a keeper for a week for a fee.
- 8:17You stay out there.
- 8:18They'll take you in a truck, which is pretty cool. It's beautiful.
- 8:23And kind of drop you off and you're responsible for some of the upkeep and giving tours and things.
- 8:28So if you're in Washington State area and you ever want to come stay at a lighthouse or be a keeper, we have some options.
- 8:38So yeah.
- 8:39Next pod tray.
- 8:41We're going to be lighthouse keepers.
- 8:43Thanks for coming, coming to show us some support. All the proceeds that we make do find our restoration efforts.
- 8:49And so everything that, which is really beautiful about our property.
- 8:54So the overnight accommodations, it takes a lot to maintain a lighthouse.
- 8:59And so yeah, thank you so much for coming out and showing support.
- 9:03Thank you. Thanks for showing us around. I do have to clear up.
- 9:06Okay. We have to talk about the ghosts.
- 9:08So clear it up for everyone because I'm going to tell them some scary stories.
- 9:13But I'm going to need you to just set their minds at ease.
- 9:17Okay. This particular lighthouse, I don't believe is haunted.
- 9:21There are many lighthouses across the country that do have a lot of activity, but not our lighthouse.
- 9:26So it's very peaceful and I haven't experienced anything supernatural.
- 9:31Even staying in the keeper's house. Even staying in the keeper's house. Nothing.
- 9:35What about, oh, you said your cat likes to look at things though.
- 9:38Cat does like to look at things for long periods of time.
- 9:41It's quite interesting and odd because you know how cats sometimes just stare at weird directions.
- 9:48It's not like something. It's like at something. So never know.
- 9:53Hopefully it's like the good protector spirits. Like yeah, yeah, there's nothing restless here. That's for sure.
- 9:58The the fort that we're in there is stories though. Correct.
- 10:02There are stories and I've had some, I guess you would call it first hand experiences with some odd things.
- 10:13And also some very close friends of mine that I used to work with have had very,
- 10:22I would say scary encounters. Creepy. How about we say creepy?
- 10:28We say creepy. We're creepy. Yeah, so very interesting stuff.
- 10:33I don't disbelieve, but I always like to you know, skeptic healthy skepticism.
- 10:41My question is have you ever stayed on the other side of the duplex? No, I have not.
- 10:48Oh, my side is there's no activity. Yeah, if my side is good.
- 10:55So is it the is it the West Wing that we're staying on? Okay.
- 11:00Each side West Wing. Yeah.
- 11:02I can't wait to tell you my stories.
- 11:05Even that newspaper story. There is a haunted place and it's about a lady who wanders around
- 11:13in a white flowy dress and maybe she's waiting on her hobby to come back that never did.
- 11:19And that she also likes to open drawers and it's almost like she's cleaning or something.
- 11:26Nothing. Yeah. So that's the right. It's peaceful, right? A peaceful entity story if there is.
- 11:35Yeah, so don't be afraid to come in today because it's not it's not scary. It's not that scary.
- 11:41Caitlin can do it. Anyone can do it.
- 11:45But I honestly have never had any guests complaints or any guests say that they've experienced anything in either unit.
- 11:53And I personally have never experienced anything either.
- 11:56In the newspaper article, pre the lighthouse society taken over restoration of this property.
- 12:02People would come down here and at night they would see something in this window right here.
- 12:09So on your way out, take a peek and let me know what you think. It's about the third window up.
- 12:16I won't tell you my theory, but I will leave that one on the table.
- 12:22We've got something we're really excited to share with you guys.
- 12:29Let's hear a few words from our new pod besties.
- 12:36Welcome to the dead podcast. I'm your host, Ezzy. And on this podcast, I discuss all things spooky and weird from ghosts, demons, religion, to folklore, urban legends, true crime, and all things paranormal with some horror movie reviews sprinkled in.
- 12:55So join me on this.
- 12:58Check them out creepy people. You can find their info in our show notes.
- 13:05Time travel noises. So we're back. Hi, how is that history lesson? Did you love it? It was amazing. We loved it.
- 13:14So why are we here? It's not just for history. Obviously we're going to talk about some ghosts.
- 13:20Oh, okay. I thought I was going to say oysters.
- 13:23You did have oysters. You want to talk about your oysters?
- 13:29I feel like I'd just be delaying the inevitable. They're ghosts now. So it doesn't even matter.
- 13:35So I'm going to tell you guys some stories about the ghosts that haunt this very building that we're sitting in right now.
- 13:44Where we slept the past two nights.
- 13:47I know we did from night one.
- 13:50We'll talk about that. I'll have you tell your stories at the very end after we go through these because it's interesting.
- 13:56Great. I love it when you say interesting with that evil glint in your eyes. I'm excited.
- 14:01I mean, we kind of heard a little bit of it from Mel already, but there's actually, there's a little bit more in here that I have some.
- 14:07Okay. Are you ready? Yes.
- 14:10Former keepers wise have told stories of seeing another woman around their home and property.
- 14:17I know. But it wasn't some like shady shenanigans going on with their husbands.
- 14:23The woman is actually a misty apparition and a long white dress with what I refer to as the poofy skirts.
- 14:33Oh, the poofy skirt.
- 14:37Yeah. Like I do I do like the motion to my hands.
- 14:42We all saw it. Yeah. I was really going to see it and I'm still doing it.
- 14:45You look like you're trying to take off.
- 14:47Yeah, well, we're seeing it and it's really good.
- 14:49I'm going to wear a poofy skirt and I'm going to pat it just like that. They would hear footsteps when no one else was in the home.
- 14:58They would hear sounds of someone going through covers and drawers.
- 15:03So not sure if she's like tidying up or she's going about.
- 15:08Yeah.
- 15:09She's going about like her routine and a past life, but she does like to, you know, rattle around in the covers and drawers.
- 15:20Okay.
- 15:21And then they would often see her and she would disappear through a window or a wall.
- 15:27So it's very clear that she's not a human person.
- 15:30Yeah. Well, I mean, one more to be confused about that.
- 15:34That clears it up.
- 15:36I mean, I guess she's human, but she's just not living.
- 15:39Yeah.
- 15:40I feel like that's a pretty key component.
- 15:43I don't know.
- 15:44It's overrated.
- 15:46So they didn't know exactly who this woman was, but speculated it could be someone named Maria, who was coming back to find her child that tragically drowned out here in the ocean, which Mel actually did confirm that story.
- 15:59She did.
- 16:00Yeah.
- 16:01And then she went off the record though.
- 16:06Do we want to see what she said?
- 16:07There was like a family living here and they lost a little child.
- 16:11She didn't say if it was a boy or girl, right?
- 16:13I don't think so.
- 16:14I don't think she did.
- 16:15Yeah.
- 16:16The stories that I found too were like, it was a girl.
- 16:19It was a boy.
- 16:20So I just wrote child because I think.
- 16:21Yeah.
- 16:22Yeah.
- 16:23And even she said people have seen other girl, but then in one another building, they saw a boy.
- 16:28It was at the school.
- 16:31Yeah.
- 16:32Yeah.
- 16:33Where we found an orb, we took a picture at night and it definitely was not the reflection of the light in the camera lens.
- 16:38It was an orb.
- 16:39Okay.
- 16:40It definitely was.
- 16:41Yes.
- 16:42Confirm.
- 16:43Absolutely.
- 16:44We confirm it.
- 16:45Thank you guys.
- 16:46You make me feel so validated.
- 16:47Well, I'm an enabler and a validators.
- 16:48Same.
- 16:49Okay.
- 16:50This is why we all get along.
- 16:52I also talked to Mary from the Olympic Peninsula Paranormal Society.
- 16:59That one shot.
- 17:00That's amazing.
- 17:01Good for you.
- 17:02And she told me when they were investigating here that they used the Estes method, which we all, we talked about it yesterday, but I'm going to go through what it means.
- 17:10Okay.
- 17:11Good.
- 17:12Yeah.
- 17:13Just in case some people don't remember.
- 17:14Right.
- 17:15Right.
- 17:16Right.
- 17:17Yeah.
- 17:18And this is when someone listens to a spirit box through noise, canceling headphones and their blind folded.
- 17:25So they're really focused on hearing the words that come through.
- 17:29And then the person listening says whatever they're hearing out loud while the people on the outside are asking questions.
- 17:36Yeah.
- 17:37That sounds good.
- 17:38Yeah.
- 17:39The bifurcals are present doesn't know what the other people are asking.
- 17:40Yeah.
- 17:41Yeah.
- 17:42Yeah.
- 17:43Because when you're playing out loud and there's multiple people around, it's kind of hard sometimes to decipher what is actually coming through.
- 17:51And then you know what questions are being asked so that can like skew your.
- 17:56Yeah.
- 17:57You're listening results.
- 17:58Yeah.
- 17:59Yeah.
- 18:00I'm still sad of that.
- 18:01My spirit box didn't arrive in time.
- 18:02Oh my gosh.
- 18:03I know.
- 18:04I kind of done that Estes method in this lighthouse.
- 18:06We'll do it.
- 18:07We'll do it somewhere else.
- 18:08We'll do it.
- 18:09Well, maybe something closer to home soon.
- 18:11Yes.
- 18:12So what came through when they were doing this method was a little it sounded like a little girl saying window with the light in it.
- 18:20Oh.
- 18:21So like obviously she's talking about the lighthouse.
- 18:25Yeah.
- 18:26Yeah.
- 18:27Do you remember what Mel was saying when we were in the lighthouse, she didn't say what but she said that there are stories about people saying that they think they see somebody in the third window up in the light.
- 18:41And she was like, I'm not going to say or you know, yeah, share this speculation.
- 18:47But I think I know why I need to know why I maybe it's a little girl who would just like to play her on in the window with the light in it.
- 18:57That's so sweet.
- 18:58That's so sweet.
- 18:59Yeah.
- 19:00I don't know if I would say sweet.
- 19:02I say that's terrifying.
- 19:04I think it's sweet.
- 19:05I mean, if I were Zach Began's, I would think that that's a demon child.
- 19:09He may not be alone in that.
- 19:12All children are here.
- 19:14I can't wait to share that we stood where Zach Began stood himself and we were like punch as ghosts. No, we didn't do that because we're respectful.
- 19:22But yeah, we sit in the same attic.
- 19:24I'm so excited to talk about that, but not not this story.
- 19:27Okay.
- 19:28She said they've also seen the apparition of a man that they think is possibly one of the former keepers.
- 19:35And I found a story of a coast guardman that was staying here in the west wing of the house, which is the side of the house that we are staying on.
- 19:43And he claimed that he felt someone standing behind him while he was cooking right there in this kitchen.
- 19:49That's next to us.
- 19:50And when he turned around, there was a man there who shouldn't have been there.
- 19:55I agree.
- 19:56Because if there had been a man in here at any point this weekend, I would have been like, you shouldn't be here.
- 20:02Yeah, no men allowed girls weekend.
- 20:05Yes.
- 20:06Thankfully, we didn't see any men.
- 20:08Yeah.
- 20:09Maybe we just couldn't see him.
- 20:11Well, I'm kind of glad now because I literally would have died on the spot.
- 20:15I'm glad I didn't tell you this before.
- 20:17Me too.
- 20:18But apparently when he asked around the other local said like, yep, that's a thing that happens.
- 20:23They see a man around this in this house around the property.
- 20:27And he promptly moved to the east wing of the house.
- 20:31I'm even interested in the one where Mel typically stays, huh?
- 20:36Mel's like, I have not seen a single thing.
- 20:40And then you were like, just to confirm what we are we in.
- 20:44That's the west wing.
- 20:46I'm in the safe wing.
- 20:48The guests can stay in the haunted wing.
- 20:51Yeah.
- 20:52There was another man staying here and he was sleeping downstairs, which I assume is on the couch
- 21:00that I've been sleeping on.
- 21:02Cassie's preferred.
- 21:04Yes.
- 21:05It's a very comfortable couch.
- 21:06I'm not going to lie.
- 21:07Like I would sleep there all the time.
- 21:10I'm just going to stay.
- 21:12Yeah.
- 21:13So he was sleeping and he woke up abruptly to cold, squeezing hands around his neck.
- 21:20Oh, his neck?
- 21:21Yeah.
- 21:22What the hell?
- 21:23No, thank you.
- 21:24Wow.
- 21:25I just like got really cold around my neck.
- 21:28No way.
- 21:29Nothing was squeezing me out.
- 21:31I actually did just get out of cold myself too.
- 21:33I think he's like, I don't have my sweater.
- 21:35Me was just like, because we're talking about chili topics.
- 21:38Yeah.
- 21:39There's nothing to do with the fact that I ran around the whole house before we sat down
- 21:44and turned off all the heaters.
- 21:46I'm just kidding.
- 21:47I know you're like, you're like, not blushing.
- 21:50What is that?
- 21:51When you're like, kind of like red and sweaty and like, oh, am I?
- 21:55You look like you're hot.
- 21:56Oh, I have been really hot.
- 21:58Flushed?
- 21:59Is that what you said?
- 22:00Yes.
- 22:01Yes.
- 22:02Yes.
- 22:03Thank you.
- 22:04You're blushing.
- 22:05Do I look like a bit of blushing?
- 22:06Like what a beat.
- 22:07Yeah.
- 22:08Do I look like a beat?
- 22:09Like when I get old, Beatie, I do.
- 22:10You're a beatie, little woman.
- 22:11God.
- 22:12Well, anyway, back to this man.
- 22:13So after he had woken up by getting choked out, he sat up and opened his eyes.
- 22:20Amazingly, like he was able to sit up, which I thought was like, that's really good.
- 22:24I didn't realize, like, with a sleep paralysis.
- 22:27Yeah.
- 22:28But he saw a woman running away through the kitchen.
- 22:30Oh.
- 22:31So running past his dining room or sitting in right now through the kitchen.
- 22:35Wow.
- 22:36And I wonder if it's because he was a man.
- 22:39That maybe.
- 22:40Yeah.
- 22:41Yeah.
- 22:42Maybe she's not like that.
- 22:43She's a manhater.
- 22:44Maria.
- 22:45Maybe that's why she likes us.
- 22:47Yeah.
- 22:48Okay.
- 22:49But he chased after her and realized that she was nowhere to be found.
- 22:53So there's, yeah, there's not many places to go.
- 22:56You would know if she went outside because there's like two doors to open.
- 23:00Yeah.
- 23:01And then like there's a bathroom.
- 23:02And I don't know this like pantry over here, but there's like nowhere to get out without
- 23:07someone knowing that you got out.
- 23:09Yeah.
- 23:10And you're seeing her.
- 23:11Oh, that's creepy.
- 23:12Interesting.
- 23:13But that does go with the stories, too, of the old keepers wives who saw her like disappear
- 23:17in the walls and like go through a window.
- 23:20Interesting.
- 23:21Maria Maria.
- 23:22I see what you did there.
- 23:24What is that?
- 23:25Is that a song?
- 23:26Oh, I was just saying Maria twice.
- 23:28Maria.
- 23:29But that's true.
- 23:30That is a song.
- 23:31I don't even think about it.
- 23:32Wow.
- 23:33Okay.
- 23:34I didn't like make a very great transition transition transition.
- 23:38There you go.
- 23:39Have you heard of the paranormal investigations of historic America?
- 23:43Investigators, I think.
- 23:45Paranormal investigators of historic America.
- 23:47No, but that's not so mean either.
- 23:49How do we join?
- 23:50Exactly.
- 23:51Yeah.
- 23:52Let us know, please.
- 23:53Well, they came and investigated this West Wing.
- 23:56And they said they didn't get any action downstairs.
- 23:59Oh, okay.
- 24:00Interesting.
- 24:01Well, we stayed upstairs with the fuck.
- 24:04Oh, yeah.
- 24:05One of the investigators, this is what I was reading and I was like, I can't tell you now.
- 24:11Yeah.
- 24:12This is the part.
- 24:13Okay.
- 24:14One of the investigators felt someone touched her on the shoulder.
- 24:18Oh, shit.
- 24:19Oh, no.
- 24:20And they brought the EMF reader over to her and the dial lit all the way up, but only on the
- 24:26side of her that she felt like was touched.
- 24:29Oh, my God.
- 24:30Did we bring the EMF?
- 24:32Oh, okay.
- 24:33I'm getting ahead of myself here.
- 24:35Okay.
- 24:36Should we tell your story?
- 24:37Yes.
- 24:38If it's right in.
- 24:39Yes.
- 24:40Okay.
- 24:41So what happened to you, Caitlin, when we got here and we were, look around.
- 24:44I can't believe I slept up there by myself.
- 24:48I can see why you didn't tell us.
- 24:50Yeah.
- 24:51Yeah.
- 24:52It makes so much sense why I slept with the door open too, both nights.
- 24:57Yeah, I feel like you know, I think you normally do that.
- 25:00No, I don't.
- 25:01No, not at all.
- 25:03Let's see.
- 25:04So I think I had my overnight bag on the bed and I was kind of pulling out some of the
- 25:10clothes and stuff and just getting settled in for, you know, our stay here.
- 25:16And I had my back to the door in the hallway and you guys had come upstairs and we're in the
- 25:22hallway, moving around, checking things out.
- 25:25Christina was like Donald and we're looking maybe into the other room and I was sitting there
- 25:28like looking towards you and talking to you, I think.
- 25:32Yeah.
- 25:33And I felt something brush up against the back of my leg.
- 25:39Like in a weird spot, like kind of like the back of my knee, but like a part of my leg
- 25:45where it couldn't have been the comforter or something on the corner, just like lightly
- 25:50brushing it.
- 25:51It also was cold.
- 25:53And we touched the comforter and the comforter was not cold.
- 25:56Yeah, we heard you yopen.
- 25:58I ran from the other room and I was like, what happened?
- 26:01Yeah.
- 26:02I kind of forgot that this man said that he felt cold hands around the stomach.
- 26:06So that's interesting.
- 26:07Very disturbing.
- 26:08Yeah.
- 26:09Yeah.
- 26:10I mean, yeah, we like, you tried to recreate the feeling and it wasn't happening.
- 26:15I couldn't do it.
- 26:16Maybe it was a mattress, but the mattress was like lower thing than where you were touched.
- 26:21Like it was like not.
- 26:22Nothing was like, there was nothing at the right height, nothing positioned at like the
- 26:26right angle.
- 26:28I couldn't replicate it no matter what.
- 26:31And I tried.
- 26:32I tried real hard because I wanted to be like, no, it was that.
- 26:36Everything's fine.
- 26:37So then I was like, okay, no one touched my friends.
- 26:41They don't want to be touched.
- 26:43If you need to touch someone, you can touch me.
- 26:45And that's when we decided that Cassie would be sleeping downstairs because I don't even want
- 26:50to be next to a person being touched by a house.
- 26:52Yeah, she's even sleeping with me.
- 26:54Yeah.
- 26:55You can't say what that does.
- 26:56Yeah.
- 26:57I desperately need to be touched, you guys, even if it's by someone who's passed.
- 27:01Even if it's quite cold, dead, a hand, a whole dead house.
- 27:07They should have slept upstairs in that bed then because I didn't stop there.
- 27:11So yeah.
- 27:12Okay, let me tell this.
- 27:14There's one last story and it's cute.
- 27:16And then we can talk about the other thing that happened to you because of course everything
- 27:19that happened here happened to Caitlin.
- 27:20Yeah.
- 27:21I don't want this.
- 27:23I said nothing was going to happen to me because nothing ever does happen to me.
- 27:27I think I'm just like dead to it.
- 27:29You put like the shield up to I think that I have, but I think mine is like from wanting
- 27:34it too badly.
- 27:35Yeah.
- 27:37And I don't know.
- 27:38I've just never seen anything, even though literally everyone else around me and my twin
- 27:43has seen everything everywhere we stayed at except for me, even my own house.
- 27:47And I'm like, man, I've really never seen anything somewhere.
- 27:49I don't care.
- 27:50Well, I might like it this way.
- 27:52Maybe some, like I said, I'm a little bitch.
- 27:54You know, but you're like, I'll go to the cemetery and the dark with you.
- 27:59Oh, I know because I don't think I'll see anything.
- 28:01Yeah, you're like, I don't know.
- 28:02Yeah.
- 28:03I hope I'm with you when it happens.
- 28:05Actually, yeah, that would be cool.
- 28:06If we both saw something for like the first time.
- 28:09Well, a good thing there would be someone else there to revive me.
- 28:11Yeah, I said I would die on the squad.
- 28:14I just, I'd probably throw up and then fall over.
- 28:16I don't know.
- 28:17Oh, my gosh.
- 28:18Can't take her anywhere.
- 28:21Can you imagine if you're shooting like a ghost hunting shell?
- 28:26I'm like, oh, God, Mom, is that what?
- 28:31Yeah, she's possessed.
- 28:34Oh, gosh.
- 28:36Okay, well, this last story is really, it's kind of sweet.
- 28:39Well, I don't know.
- 28:41Okay, I'm a like it, but what's new?
- 28:44So when they were investigating, they saw a shadow in the room.
- 28:49I think it was one of the rooms upstairs.
- 28:52And at the same time, the EMF meter went off by the window and they speculated that it
- 28:58was a ghosty cat in the window.
- 29:00Oh, that is cool.
- 29:01Because I guess it was like right by the window, like in this little area on the window seal.
- 29:06So, yeah, didn't Mel say something about a ghost cat somewhere?
- 29:10Yeah.
- 29:11I think it was in like one of the other buildings.
- 29:14Yeah, yeah.
- 29:15As she mentioned, a ghost cat story.
- 29:17I wonder if it roms around like two different buildings on the fort.
- 29:20Yeah, probably.
- 29:21That makes sense.
- 29:23That is cute.
- 29:24That is very cute.
- 29:25But maybe you wouldn't be allergic to a ghost cat.
- 29:28I mean, doesn't have dander.
- 29:30Yeah.
- 29:31So you might like it.
- 29:33Yeah.
- 29:34All I got to do is just find myself a dead cat.
- 29:37Yeah.
- 29:38There's a ghost cat at Man Racer too.
- 29:40Yeah.
- 29:41That's right.
- 29:42We'll talk about it later.
- 29:43But yeah, okay.
- 29:44So tell your other story of the other thing that happened to you.
- 29:47Oh, yeah.
- 29:48I feel like it falls in line with sort of the female ghost stories that...
- 29:52Maybe things around.
- 29:54Yeah.
- 29:55Like cleaning up, tidying up.
- 29:56I was going to say potentially tidying maybe kind of trying to be like, you know, kind or
- 30:02helpful.
- 30:04Mm-hmm.
- 30:05You know, maybe when you're a ghost, you don't realize how spooky it is to have things
- 30:11moved around.
- 30:12Yeah.
- 30:13unexplained.
- 30:14But, yeah.
- 30:15So let's see.
- 30:16I fell asleep in my AirPods because that's just what I do every night.
- 30:21But I'm used to waking up and one of them is still in one of my ears.
- 30:27And the other one is usually like underneath my pillow.
- 30:32It's usually pretty close.
- 30:33It doesn't fall far.
- 30:34Right.
- 30:35Because like, what are you doing at night?
- 30:37Like, playing around and flinging things.
- 30:39I mean, sometimes.
- 30:40Yeah.
- 30:41I do a lot of...
- 30:42I do my floor routine, actually.
- 30:44I don't know if you know this, but I'm actually a gymnast.
- 30:49Oh, yeah.
- 30:50I'm just like, "Only my sleep."
- 30:52I see.
- 30:53Yeah.
- 30:54So I woke up after our first night here and I was like, "Oh, where the hell is my other
- 31:00AirPods?"
- 31:01Like, I cannot find it.
- 31:03And so I pick up the pillow.
- 31:05I kind of start by looking in, you know, the spots on the bed where I've always found them.
- 31:10The next morning, I'm picking up all of the pillows and I looked on the floor right next
- 31:15to the bed.
- 31:16Okay, well, this is weird.
- 31:20It couldn't have gone far, right?
- 31:23You would think.
- 31:24You would think.
- 31:25You would think.
- 31:26And I started feeling like alongside the mattress and in between the bed frame, I looked
- 31:32underneath the bed, which after being touched at the corner of the bed the night before was
- 31:37terrifying, but let's see, where else?
- 31:41And then I took out the duvet and like kind of shook it.
- 31:45I shook the sheet.
- 31:47I got on the bed and I'm like rubbing down like the whole surface of the bed.
- 31:52I flattened out the pillows to make sure I didn't accidentally like shove it inside of
- 31:57the pillow.
- 31:58So my sleep.
- 31:59Yeah.
- 32:00What'd you say you were patting it down like you were looking for wet?
- 32:02Yeah, I was.
- 32:03I was.
- 32:04I was patting that bad boy down like I was in the TSA.
- 32:08For sure.
- 32:09For sure.
- 32:10Just given a little scoopy grow.
- 32:12Right.
- 32:13Yeah.
- 32:14Give it a good wanding, if you will.
- 32:20I mean, what are you supposed to do?
- 32:21I don't want to just have like a missing air pod.
- 32:24You know, I really am.
- 32:25I really am.
- 32:26And it was starting to get really weird because I had like torn apart this whole fucking bed
- 32:31and I'm like, where is my air pod?
- 32:34Yeah, you should have seen it.
- 32:35Yeah.
- 32:36I should have.
- 32:37I'm feeling because you know, the sheets are white, so I'm thinking, well, maybe I won't
- 32:41see it.
- 32:42So I should just feel around all the whole bed and make sure it's not in there.
- 32:47And then I turned around, being as I was going to go and get in the shower because I was like,
- 32:51well, I don't have time for this.
- 32:53And then I turned back to grab something off the night, Stan.
- 32:57My air pod was in the middle of the bed.
- 33:00That is like, it's so cool though.
- 33:04Like, but like you had to have hidden the air pod from me to be able to then put it out.
- 33:11Or maybe somehow fell somewhere you just didn't, you were going to find it.
- 33:15Yeah.
- 33:16It grabbed it for you and it placed it on the bed.
- 33:19But also like it could have just taken it to mess with it.
- 33:21It's like funny.
- 33:22You know what's horrifying?
- 33:25And I don't know if it's just Mexico, but in Mexican folklore, like if things go missing,
- 33:30it was a dwindier, like a little.
- 33:32Are you not supposed to say that?
- 33:34I mean, I say it all the time.
- 33:35Oh my gosh.
- 33:36Okay.
- 33:37So we had someone send us a story and they're like, you're not supposed to say this thing,
- 33:41but it starts with this letter and it rhymes with something else and then you looked it
- 33:44up and you're like, I really want to say it out loud right now.
- 33:47And you're like, why do I have this weird urge to like say this out loud?
- 33:52And then I kept like, this keeps coming up in like different podcasts.
- 33:55I keep hearing it being said.
- 33:57And two girls one goes to talking about it one time.
- 33:59They said it like a thousand times.
- 34:01And I was like, it's like, it's like, it's like a thousand times.
- 34:03And I was like, it's like a thousand times.
- 34:04And I was like, it's like a thousand times.
- 34:05It's like a thousand times.
- 34:06And I was like, it's like a thousand times.
- 34:07And I was like, it's like a thousand times.
- 34:08It's like a thousand times.
- 34:09And I was like, it's like a thousand times.
- 34:10And I was like, it's like a thousand times.
- 34:11And I was like, it's like a thousand times.
- 34:12And I was like, it's like a thousand times.
- 34:13And I was like, it's like a thousand times.
- 34:14And I was like, it's like a thousand times.
- 34:15And I was like, it's like a thousand times.
- 34:16And I was like, it's like a thousand times.
- 34:17And I was like, it's like a thousand times.
- 34:32And I was like, it's like a thousand times.
- 34:33And I was like, it's like a thousand times.
- 34:34And I was like, it's like a thousand times.
- 34:35And I was like, it's like a thousand times.
- 34:36And I was like, it's like a thousand times.
- 34:37And I was like, it's like a thousand times.
- 34:38And I was like, it's like a thousand times.
- 34:39And I was like, it's like a thousand times.
- 34:40And I was like, it's like a thousand times.
- 34:41And I was like, it's like a thousand times.
- 34:42And I was like, it's like a thousand times.
- 34:43And I was like, it's like a thousand times.
- 34:44And I was like, it's like a thousand times.
- 34:45And I was like, it's like a thousand times.
- 34:46Interesting.
- 34:48Now feels like a good time to take a whiner mission.
- 34:54But don't be scared.
- 34:55We'll be right back.
- 34:56You guys, we're back.
- 34:58You guys, we're back.
- 34:59You guys, we're back.
- 34:59You guys, we're back.
- 35:00And don't worry.
- 35:01We did get more wine.
- 35:02Well, of course.
- 35:03But yeah, that's why I'm like, I think I'd rather it be this nice ghost lady
- 35:09that's just like rearranging things than a dwein there.
- 35:11Yeah.
- 35:12That makes sense.
- 35:13My theory was that originally that she had touched you and then like, was apologizing to you.
- 35:18But now I kind of think, what if like a cat rubbed against her leg?
- 35:23Oh.
- 35:24What was it a rubbina or was it like a grab?
- 35:27Wasn't a grab.
- 35:28Yeah, it was more a grab.
- 35:29Yeah.
- 35:30Like, like, a hide and tend to you.
- 35:32Like, they know that I'm allergic.
- 35:34So they always come up and they're like, I'm all going to say the height of where you were touched.
- 35:38Could match the height of a cat.
- 35:40Exactly what I was thinking.
- 35:41What is the cat?
- 35:42What if the cat took your air pot and was like batting it around and playing with it?
- 35:47That's like a funny.
- 35:48The fucking cat took someone's shit again.
- 35:50I got it.
- 35:51Let's just put it back.
- 35:52Okay.
- 35:53I like that.
- 35:54I feel better now.
- 35:55Oh, yeah.
- 35:56Still like I'm so ready to go home now.
- 35:59I have to say I did not bring out the MF reader in this house because we're staying in here.
- 36:03I did.
- 36:04Oh, you did.
- 36:05I did last night.
- 36:06I remember because it was only going off by the heaters.
- 36:08Oh, that's right.
- 36:09That's right.
- 36:10And that has to be something to do with the heat itself.
- 36:13Yeah.
- 36:14Yeah.
- 36:15That's like all the way up at the heaters and I'm sitting directly in front of a heater and I'm like,
- 36:19is this why I'm like getting tired and.
- 36:23I would argue it's the heat.
- 36:24There's also a heater in the kitchen.
- 36:26Like it's not directly behind the oven.
- 36:28But I'm like, I don't know if that because I know he and I was like messed with your mind a little bit.
- 36:34I didn't try it upstairs though.
- 36:35Yeah, we didn't like it.
- 36:36Maybe right before we leave.
- 36:38Yeah.
- 36:39Okay, well, we have to go together.
- 36:40I'm not going to do that.
- 36:41Yeah.
- 36:42We do have interesting stories about the MF reader at another place that we're going to be talking
- 36:45about in the future.
- 36:46Yeah.
- 36:47That was wild.
- 36:48That was so cool though.
- 36:49I'm so glad we did that.
- 36:50T's, T's.
- 36:51Well, we still have to do the tarot.
- 36:53Sorry.
- 36:54You can start talking about the MF at Men Race and my ears went like.
- 36:58That's weird.
- 36:59Yeah, I got like a weird.
- 37:01You know, like when you need to like, you have to like swallow on an airplane like.
- 37:05Yeah.
- 37:06So that you can use.
- 37:07Oh, weird.
- 37:08It won't stop.
- 37:09All right.
- 37:10Okay.
- 37:11I've already done.
- 37:12I did it a pretty solid shuffle.
- 37:13You know how I feel about that?
- 37:16The mjish.
- 37:17Oh, wait, before you guys do this, you think we can share a Mel's picture story or no?
- 37:27What would you picture story about this little boy?
- 37:30Yeah.
- 37:31Yeah.
- 37:32Let's talk about it.
- 37:34Yeah.
- 37:35So apparently this lighthouse, because this was the former lighthouse and they moved it to
- 37:38the other lighthouse, but it's not the only haunted building in this whole place.
- 37:41Like, there's a bunch of little buildings that Mel took us to, but you're super cool.
- 37:44I was like, this is great.
- 37:46Yeah.
- 37:47What are them being the school?
- 37:48And she said that there's people that will quit right away.
- 37:51Like they'll start working with the kids because things happen.
- 37:53She's never seen anything and like good for her seriously.
- 37:57But yeah, some people will just quit.
- 37:58And one of those people, it was at the school house.
- 38:00Yeah.
- 38:01And we took that to it.
- 38:02I don't think we saw anything but orb.
- 38:03Or the orb.
- 38:04Or a close.
- 38:05Of course it wasn't orb.
- 38:08She had said that the school, that is the one place where she is for sure, seen something
- 38:14and they just cannot track down the camera phone photo that shows the little boy in the window.
- 38:22Yeah.
- 38:23So she was, I think a friend took a picture of, in front of the school house and the whole
- 38:28school house, you can see behind him.
- 38:30And then he showed her the picture and in the picture, he hadn't even noticed it because
- 38:34he was in the picture himself.
- 38:36And then when he showed it to Mel, there's a little boy in the third floor window and he
- 38:42hadn't seen her and he was so freaked out.
- 38:44Obviously.
- 38:45And she said he has not stayed late inside of this place since that happened to him.
- 38:50And then they can't find the picture.
- 38:52Yeah.
- 38:53But she physically saw the picture.
- 38:54Like there's no, there was no way for him to doctor it and make like add things in.
- 38:58Right.
- 38:59Probably it like a flip camera phone, you know?
- 39:02Nobody's photoshopping the other.
- 39:04Right.
- 39:05But yeah.
- 39:06And I don't know, did you guys get any weird vibes?
- 39:07Because we only saw the outside of the school.
- 39:09Yeah, we just like drove by it.
- 39:11But I don't, I don't ever get, I kind of get weird vibes sometimes.
- 39:15But I only got weird vibes at the other place we're going to talk about.
- 39:19Yeah.
- 39:20Yeah.
- 39:21That was crazy.
- 39:22Where's Zach Baggins stood in?
- 39:24And our Lord and Savior.
- 39:25Zach Baggins.
- 39:26Is it Baggins or Baggins?
- 39:28I don't know.
- 39:29I don't know.
- 39:30I don't know.
- 39:31Honestly.
- 39:32Where do they call them?
- 39:33And that's why we drink.
- 39:34They always call them like a specific name and I never remember.
- 39:37Oh, yeah.
- 39:38They.
- 39:39Yeah.
- 39:40They.
- 39:41They say they're Ryan's with pepperoni.
- 39:42Bagel bites.
- 39:43Bagel bites.
- 39:44Yeah.
- 39:45That's like, oh my god.
- 39:47You guys, do you remember?
- 39:48Yes.
- 39:49I was going to ask the cart Bagel bites here last night.
- 39:51Oh, shit.
- 39:52So close.
- 39:53Oh my god.
- 39:54We already had Zach Baggins delivered.
- 39:57Oh, man.
- 39:58Do you think we say his name enough times we might summon him?
- 40:03I think so.
- 40:04Yeah.
- 40:05It's like Beetlejuice.
- 40:06Baggins.
- 40:07Bagel bites.
- 40:08Bagel bites.
- 40:09Bagel bites.
- 40:10But yeah, we saw this cool from outside and like I didn't.
- 40:13I was looking at the window, but maybe we just went there a little bit.
- 40:16Yeah.
- 40:17It was late in the morning.
- 40:18What was the other building that we walked around inside of with Mel, though?
- 40:23Was it this cool?
- 40:24She thought it was like the juvenile detention center.
- 40:27Yes.
- 40:28I got there's a couple of spots where I was like, I had a MF reader out the whole.
- 40:32Is this the one that has a radio station in now?
- 40:33Yeah.
- 40:34Okay.
- 40:35I had the MFR reader the whole time.
- 40:36We were in green the whole time, no matter where we went inside that building.
- 40:40And that's the super weird thing about the MF reader.
- 40:42Like in other places where like, you know, the men risk a hotel where we were at.
- 40:48It was there was specific spots that were so like lit up.
- 40:51And then like other spots that weren't.
- 40:54And even in here, there are spots that's like green.
- 40:56And that building that we went to, it was green, completely green the whole time.
- 41:00Yeah.
- 41:01I feel like maybe some of it is just knowing that it, you know, what it was before.
- 41:07True.
- 41:08You're also sensitive.
- 41:09So you're probably sponging up whatever like emotional energy was laying around.
- 41:13I'm the opposite of sensitive.
- 41:15Yeah.
- 41:16So if anyone was going to feel something, it was going to be you.
- 41:18Yeah.
- 41:19I don't know.
- 41:20Like that's the other thing is like kind of more recently like learning a little bit better.
- 41:28Like how to sense whether there is something there, but whether or not it's like a truly
- 41:33like if it feels malevolent, you know, if it feels like darker or ill intentioned.
- 41:40So sometimes there can be something there, but I feel like I don't know why, but I feel
- 41:44like there's, it's an eerie feeling.
- 41:46It's not scary person.
- 41:48I don't know.
- 41:50Boom.
- 41:51Boom.
- 41:52Was that scary?
- 41:57The other spot too, remember she said that the, I forget what they call the house, but
- 42:03number 11.
- 42:04Oh.
- 42:05It's the, it's the non-commissioned officers housing.
- 42:09Yeah.
- 42:10There are like low up houses and then yeah, they're like what three two story houses maybe.
- 42:15I think so.
- 42:16I think so.
- 42:17Yeah.
- 42:18And she said was like, there's no stories, but she got where feeling there.
- 42:23Right.
- 42:24Yeah.
- 42:25Mel, I think, has said she's never really experienced anything specific, but that whenever
- 42:30she's been into number 11, she has gotten a very like uncomfortable and eerie feeling.
- 42:38She doesn't like to go there at night.
- 42:40She doesn't generally like to be there by herself.
- 42:42It sounds like.
- 42:43Mm-hmm.
- 42:44And I don't blame her.
- 42:45Yes.
- 42:46Yeah.
- 42:47And maybe it's because she told us, but it did look like that one did from the outside.
- 42:53And as soon as we pulled up to that one, that one felt the creepiest from the outside.
- 42:58So for what is worth?
- 43:01Mm-hmm.
- 43:02I mean, I like number 11.
- 43:03I don't want to think it's creepy.
- 43:05It's my lucky number of the day.
- 43:06Yeah.
- 43:07And you're the creepiest person I know.
- 43:09So like, I feel like if the shoe fits, it checks out.
- 43:11Maybe the sign I need to break in there.
- 43:14Allegedly.
- 43:18Yeah.
- 43:19Can we talk about the castle really quick, too, even though it's not like haunted or anything?
- 43:22Oh, it's so cute.
- 43:23It's so cute.
- 43:24And there is that story.
- 43:25Oh, yeah.
- 43:26Oh, that was like, yeah.
- 43:28Mr. Alexander, do you remember his name?
- 43:32Just Alexander.
- 43:33Alexander.
- 43:34Yeah.
- 43:35Yeah, it was last name, first name.
- 43:36I don't really know.
- 43:37Okay.
- 43:38Well, we don't know.
- 43:39Something Alexander.
- 43:40So we'll call him Mr. Alexander.
- 43:41He met someone, a beautiful lady.
- 43:51I know.
- 43:52I know.
- 43:53I know.
- 43:54Come on.
- 43:55You don't want to marry someone just to help.
- 43:56Have you guys watched 500 days of summer?
- 43:59Yes.
- 44:00Okay.
- 44:01So when you first watched it when you're younger, you're like, oh my god, she's like, she's leading
- 44:10him on.
- 44:11But from the beginning, she was like, I don't want anything serious.
- 44:15Oh, totally.
- 44:16Maybe that's something it wasn't.
- 44:17So I'm thinking that Mr. Alexander made it something it wasn't.
- 44:21Yeah.
- 44:22And he was.
- 44:23All out for no reason, even though she's like, you're not going to do this, but the castle
- 44:27and maybe.
- 44:28I don't know.
- 44:29So I don't want to be serious.
- 44:30I don't know.
- 44:32But then how do we, we know that it's not totally clear.
- 44:36We certainly can't like verify it with, you know, any certainty as far as historical accuracy.
- 44:44But the legend is how do we think this landed?
- 44:48Should we, I mean, do we want to share that story?
- 44:52I mean, why not?
- 44:53The story that everyone knows.
- 44:54I'm just area.
- 44:55But yeah, so he after, after she did not marry him, then he died by civil side.
- 45:03I just want to have him.
- 45:04He couldn't take it.
- 45:05Yeah, he couldn't handle it.
- 45:06And yeah, the castle is still there.
- 45:08It's beautiful.
- 45:09It's so cute, just small.
- 45:10Yeah.
- 45:11There's plenty of other pussy in the world.
- 45:12Like was hers just like the magical of all magical pussies?
- 45:16Like what was so special?
- 45:18He was in love.
- 45:19You monster.
- 45:20You monster.
- 45:21You're a monster.
- 45:22You're a monster.
- 45:23You're a monster.
- 45:24And if you've seen this castle, okay, it's so fucking cute.
- 45:29It is the cutest castle ever.
- 45:30I wish I could live in it.
- 45:32I'm very new.
- 45:33Mr. Alexander.
- 45:34She doesn't deserve that castle.
- 45:36Yeah.
- 45:37I hope that.
- 45:38I'm so excited.
- 45:39No.
- 45:40It's, well, we don't know which way it went.
- 45:43I mean, but you know, the idea that he would, you know, then die by completing suicide in that
- 45:50beautiful castle.
- 45:51That's kind of sad.
- 45:52But I hope that like all of the single ladies in the town saw this castle and were like,
- 45:58ooh, right.
- 45:59It's a single now and like tried to hit him up and he found the love of his life and they
- 46:04lived in this beautiful castle.
- 46:05And he just died at old age together.
- 46:08But the story, the funer urban legend spread around is that he died by his own hand in
- 46:15the castle because then you can say, oh, what if he's like there now as long as he didn't.
- 46:19Woo.
- 46:20Precisely.
- 46:21Yeah.
- 46:22Well, is there anything else?
- 46:23I know.
- 46:24I'm like, sorry, I keep thinking of all that.
- 46:29I mean, I had the two that I had off the top was like, for sure, we wanted to talk about
- 46:35the school thing, the cabin on 11 or whatever it's called.
- 46:39Oh, we didn't get to go up there, but Mel also pointed out, I think kind of by the castle
- 46:44area, there's like a road.
- 46:45And if you go up there, not in car, but hike up there, there's bunkers.
- 46:49Oh, yeah.
- 46:50People have stories about the bunkers that they see things up there.
- 46:54It's creepy.
- 46:55It's a spooky vibe, but we didn't go up there.
- 46:57Yeah.
- 46:58We said, you know what, Mel?
- 46:59I believe that.
- 47:00Yeah.
- 47:01Cold, it's dark.
- 47:03Yeah.
- 47:04So if I had like a bigger jacket, I might have been more tempted to go.
- 47:06Yeah, yeah.
- 47:07Next time I want a bigger jacket.
- 47:08I thought it was going to be nicer for trice.
- 47:10Yeah, because I was already hungry at that point.
- 47:13That's true.
- 47:14We've got some trail mix with us, bigger jackets, flashlights, spare box, and then we can
- 47:19go up there next time.
- 47:21We got this.
- 47:22Yeah.
- 47:23So that's another supposedly haunted spa in this little port.
- 47:26Maybe because obviously this port is in port Towns-in, but then there's other haunted places
- 47:31outside of the port.
- 47:32So many haunted places.
- 47:33Oh, yeah.
- 47:34All of these are just inside this port, which is beautiful, a beautiful place.
- 47:37Yeah.
- 47:39So we mentioned an eagle earlier, and we actually just came back from seeing an eagle like having lunch
- 47:46on a tree, and it was like tearing this other animal apart.
- 47:50You can hear it.
- 47:51Like ripping this other animal apart.
- 47:53It was the coolest thing.
- 47:55It was so--
- 47:56Yeah, we were watching Animal Planet.
- 47:58Yeah.
- 47:59I know.
- 48:00I know.
- 48:01Yeah.
- 48:02Gotta put, like, my David-- David Artinbaro, voice on.
- 48:04Yeah.
- 48:05I don't know.
- 48:06I can't-- I'm not striking the right balance, because he doesn't-- he doesn't have the Australian
- 48:09little to it, but, you know, I'm going to work on it, okay?
- 48:12Okay.
- 48:13Workshop it.
- 48:14And then you have Acto-is.
- 48:15That'll be a really fun thing for TikTok.
- 48:17Just me trying to-- me aton burrow.
- 48:19Oh, there's a little eagle.
- 48:21Yeah, we have so many videos of this thing.
- 48:23Yeah.
- 48:26I'm like Steve Irwin.
- 48:27I feel like-- maybe I just Irwin it, because I don't know if I can act in burrow it.
- 48:31I wonder if we can do a silence and have the ghost of Steve Irwin possess you and do TikToks.
- 48:36Oh, my God.
- 48:38That is-- that's a lot.
- 48:41That'd be cool.
- 48:42No offense to his family.
- 48:43We love him, literally.
- 48:45Yeah.
- 48:46Yeah.
- 48:47Now feels like a good time to take a whiner mission, but don't be scared.
- 48:54We'll be right back.
- 48:56You guys--
- 48:57We're back.
- 48:58And don't worry.
- 48:59We did get more wine.
- 49:00Well, of course.
- 49:01Okay, we should use a chair room.
- 49:04Yeah, let's do chair room.
- 49:05Okay, I'm going to shuffle one more time.
- 49:07I'm like, "Hey."
- 49:08Lighthouses.
- 49:09Don't make me a ghost.
- 49:12Oh, interesting.
- 49:14It's funny you mentioned an eagle.
- 49:17Oh, I don't think that's an eagle.
- 49:18I think it's a hawk.
- 49:19Yeah.
- 49:20It's still though bird.
- 49:21That is interesting.
- 49:22Yeah.
- 49:23I printed her bird.
- 49:24Interesting.
- 49:25I was just saying it was an eagle.
- 49:27Yeah, it's an eagle you guys.
- 49:29Wow, we pulled the eagle over.
- 49:31Let me see.
- 49:32I wonder if there is an eagle in the deck.
- 49:35There probably is.
- 49:37I would think so.
- 49:39It's a red tailed hawk.
- 49:41So in the little book of the P&W deck has a little story of this hawk.
- 49:49What goes through a bird's head the first time they try to fly.
- 49:53As they hop off the edge and plummet toward the ground, are they feeling trepidation, fear,
- 49:59a sense of rightness driven by the force of instinct?
- 50:03Oh.
- 50:04And as they open their wings to catch the air, gaining altitude and control for the first
- 50:10time, do they feel relief, accomplishment, joy in finding their purpose?
- 50:16In performing the action that every aspect of their body has evolved for.
- 50:21Question, is each unique in their own reactions, feelings and eagerness to step off the edge?
- 50:28Or do they just fly?
- 50:30Oh.
- 50:31Okay.
- 50:32I like it.
- 50:34Yes.
- 50:35Okay.
- 50:36Two of ones are keywords are developing goals, involvement in a creative project, taking
- 50:43action and choices.
- 50:44Oh.
- 50:45Oh.
- 50:46Oh, the whole time I was reading that, I feel like this is a reading about us and like what
- 50:52we're doing.
- 50:53Yeah.
- 50:54We'll bet.
- 50:55Right.
- 50:56This card shows you taking action to accomplish something you feel passionately about.
- 51:01A creative project, a business or an adventure.
- 51:04Absolutely.
- 51:05Oh my god.
- 51:06Oh my god.
- 51:07Three of us.
- 51:08Wow.
- 51:09It is.
- 51:10Yeah.
- 51:11You may have to make a choice between two options or bring two factors together to achieve
- 51:17success.
- 51:18Maybe do podcast.
- 51:19I was like, I'm going to say the same thing.
- 51:22It has to.
- 51:23Because you're in my brain and you need to get out, it makes me itchy.
- 51:26That is me.
- 51:27Sorry.
- 51:28You're beginning to assert yourself, taking charge of an endeavor.
- 51:33Upright, the two shows you waiting to see results in adventure.
- 51:38You feel confident of your success.
- 51:41You may accept advice or assistance from someone else, but you won't compromise your position
- 51:47or leadership.
- 51:48We're a job.
- 51:49Yeah.
- 51:50I climb all the way to the top of the lighthouse.
- 51:53Really slowly.
- 51:55Crawled, yeah.
- 51:56Basically.
- 51:57There's a lot of work shaking legs.
- 52:00Yeah.
- 52:01In a reading about money, this card indicates you may benefit from other people's guidance,
- 52:07ideas and encouragement, but want to make it on your own rather than depending on others.
- 52:14I mean, I'd like to depend on you guys.
- 52:16I mean, I feel like that's different.
- 52:19I'm not.
- 52:20I don't.
- 52:21I don't.
- 52:22I don't.
- 52:23I don't.
- 52:24Cool.
- 52:25Oh, interesting.
- 52:26Yeah.
- 52:27I think this is about us.
- 52:28In a reading about work, the two shows you investing lots of energy in an endeavor.
- 52:35Take charge and don't let other people stand in your way, dissuade you or diminish your enthusiasm.
- 52:42Hello.
- 52:43Yeah.
- 52:44We make things happen.
- 52:46We do.
- 52:47In a reading about love, the two upright suggests you're building a rewarding partnership.
- 52:55Sometimes it represents a creative relationship in which it says to people, but I think they're saying
- 53:04that because it's a two of ones.
- 53:06Obviously it's two more people.
- 53:08Two more people.
- 53:09Two groups.
- 53:10Inspire and encourage each other.
- 53:13Yeah.
- 53:14Women inspiring and encouraging other women.
- 53:17Women supporting women.
- 53:20Yes, about like really long.
- 53:22The boss.
- 53:23Women's history month.
- 53:25Is it?
- 53:26Oh, and you're right.
- 53:28Look at us go.
- 53:29Yeah.
- 53:30And we got all of those books about the women light house keepers.
- 53:33We did it.
- 53:34Oh, and we did it.
- 53:35And meld the woman light house keeper.
- 53:37She is the keeper of the light.
- 53:39Yeah.
- 53:40Like when the title.
- 53:41Yeah.
- 53:42So cool.
- 53:43Well, I found these light house playing cards.
- 53:46And I figured maybe we can draw one of these.
- 53:48Yes.
- 53:49Because we like to draw from regular decks sometimes.
- 53:52Yeah, we do.
- 53:53So we're going to see.
- 53:54And then we'll have to like remember what they all mean.
- 53:57Hopefully we can.
- 53:58Okay.
- 53:59Nine of hearts, which is cups.
- 54:01That sounds right.
- 54:02Didn't we look this up at some point?
- 54:04I can look at them.
- 54:05But I'm pretty sure it's cups.
- 54:06I think you're right.
- 54:07I don't know what this means.
- 54:08I kept seeing.
- 54:09I kept seeing a cups card as well.
- 54:12If it is cups.
- 54:13So I feel like that's right.
- 54:15Yes.
- 54:16Nine of cups.
- 54:17Hopefully it's good.
- 54:18Not bad.
- 54:19We just delete this part.
- 54:20We just delete this part.
- 54:22It's a waste of time.
- 54:23It is good.
- 54:24I mean, there's no bad.
- 54:25I know.
- 54:26Coming from the people who say there's no bad cards.
- 54:29There's no bad cards.
- 54:30Okay.
- 54:31Our keywords are wishes come true.
- 54:35Oh.
- 54:36Good luck.
- 54:37Happiness, abundance, and generosity.
- 54:40Wow.
- 54:41We got a lot of generosity this weekend.
- 54:43My dad really did.
- 54:44A crazy amount.
- 54:45Yeah.
- 54:46Often called the wish card.
- 54:48The nine of cups is one of the most fortunate of all cards.
- 54:52Oh my God.
- 54:53And bodes well in any reading.
- 54:55Some decks show a wealthy person, perhaps a tavern owner, or inkeeper.
- 55:00What the--
- 55:01What?
- 55:02Wow.
- 55:03Sharing his or her largest with others.
- 55:06Oh.
- 55:07Filling their cups.
- 55:08I love that.
- 55:09I want to say Mel filled my cup.
- 55:12Yes.
- 55:13She overflowed our cups.
- 55:15She really did.
- 55:16Yeah.
- 55:17You've achieved a position of comfort, abundance, and happiness.
- 55:21Now, you eagerly share your warmth, love, good cheer, and other goodies with people you care
- 55:28about.
- 55:29The universe is smiling on you.
- 55:31We got a lot of goodies too.
- 55:33We got so many goodies.
- 55:35In a reading about money, you can expect good fortune when this card appears.
- 55:40An investment pays off.
- 55:42You get a raise.
- 55:43Maybe even win the lottery.
- 55:45We are not those numbers.
- 55:47You were talking about getting lottery tickets.
- 55:50Because our horoscopes gave us numbers.
- 55:52That's crazy.
- 55:53Okay, let's get to it.
- 55:54Let's do it.
- 55:55Yeah.
- 55:56And when we win, then we can make a sizable donation to the lighthouse society.
- 56:02When we win, we can buy lighthouses.
- 56:04That's right.
- 56:05That was our other plan.
- 56:07All right.
- 56:08Rather than hoarding your loot, however, you share some with others.
- 56:12Absolutely.
- 56:13There's no point in being rich alone.
- 56:16It's no fun.
- 56:17It's true.
- 56:18Yeah.
- 56:19If the reading is about your job, the Nine of Cups suggests a promotion or landing the job
- 56:24of your dreams.
- 56:25Yeah, we can all --
- 56:26We've been talking about quitting our jobs all weekend.
- 56:28I do want to try and get fired.
- 56:30Make that so deep phone.
- 56:33Yeah.
- 56:34You feel fulfilled, happy, and inspired in your work.
- 56:41However, you undertake brings success.
- 56:45In a reading about love, you've learned to open your heart and enjoy a richly rewarding
- 56:50love life.
- 56:52This card may describe a joyful, emotionally fulfilling, committed relationship or an abundance
- 57:00of romantic partners.
- 57:01Oh.
- 57:02Are we going to be in a relationship, you guys?
- 57:05Are we having a relationship?
- 57:07I'm just kidding.
- 57:08I'm the only gay person here.
- 57:12Is that my gay?
- 57:14Is that what you call it?
- 57:16Half gay?
- 57:17Half gay?
- 57:18I think they refer to that as vice.
- 57:19I don't know what it exists, but I kind of like half gay.
- 57:23Half gay?
- 57:24I'm new here, guys.
- 57:26Yeah, I just got my ancestors reading Hs.
- 57:28But it turns out I'm 50% that bitch.
- 57:33That was mean.
- 57:34I just took a sip of coffee.
- 57:35I almost spit it out.
- 57:38There's an extra excerpt at the end here, and I think it's kind of fitting.
- 57:44It says, "Nature is held together by the energy of love."
- 57:49Oh.
- 57:50Which I feel kind of reminds me of being up in the lighthouse, especially during the actual
- 57:59tour yesterday, and it's such a beautiful natural scenic view.
- 58:06And Mal was talking about how a lot of the people that were keepers, they would see a lot of tragedy
- 58:14in their time just because of the nature of their work, but they also had the opportunity to
- 58:20save a lot of people.
- 58:23I thought it was really sweet too, and she's like, "And now we're here saving the lighthouse
- 58:27because they saved so many other people."
- 58:30Yeah, that was beautiful.
- 58:32She had such good energy.
- 58:33Like, there was how she loves this place.
- 58:36Love it.
- 58:37And now I love it too.
- 58:39Yeah.
- 58:40Oh, we should be at the least.
- 58:42I know.
- 58:43Can we just love you forever?
- 58:44I'm down.
- 58:45I wish.
- 58:46Now that we know the ghosts are sweet.
- 58:48We love it.
- 58:49Yeah.
- 58:50They could play with the ghost cat.
- 58:52Yeah.
- 58:53All right, well, should we do our sign-up?
- 58:58Have a good day.
- 58:59Have a good day.
- 59:00Have a good day.
- 59:01Stay at spooky.
- 59:02Come visit and feel the good vibes.
- 59:06And, you know, if you're a man, maybe don't sleep on the couch downstairs.
- 59:10We're in.
- 59:11See you at the lighthouse.
- 59:14[Music]
- 59:29So that's Canada.
- 59:30Over there where the sunset is.
- 59:32Oh really.
- 59:33Oh my God.
- 59:34Hi, Canada.
- 59:35Hey, girl.
- 59:36Oh, hey.
