- 0:09Speaker 1: What's going on? Everyone? Welcome into another episode of The
- 0:12Speaker 1: Checho Daily.
- 0:13Speaker 2: Andrew de Checho Eagles Beat Reporter inside the Birds dot Com.
- 0:16Speaker 2: The Eagles schedule is out that came out on Thursday, Saturday,
- 0:21Speaker 2: August fifteenth. They're playing the Baltimore Ravens at Baltimore at
- 0:25Speaker 2: seven o'clock Saturday, August twenty second, at New England Patriots
- 0:29Speaker 2: seven o'clock Friday August twenty eighth, Cincinnati Bengals eight o'clock
- 0:34Speaker 2: and the regular season Sunday, September thirteenth. They're playing the
- 0:39Speaker 2: Washington Commanders at four twenty five Sunday, September twentieth. At
- 0:44Speaker 2: Tennessee Titans one o'clock Monday, September twenty eighth. At Chicago
- 0:48Speaker 2: Bears eight fifteen Sunday October fourth, Los Angeles Rams one
- 0:53Speaker 2: o'clock Sunday October eleventh at Jacksonville Jaguars.
- 0:58Speaker 1: That game will be.
- 0:59Speaker 2: In London at Tottenham Stadium nine thirty am Sunday October eighteenth,
- 1:04Speaker 2: Carolina Panthers one o'clock Monday October twenty sixth Dallas Cowboys
- 1:10Speaker 2: eight fifteen Sunday November one at Washington Commanders eight twenty Sunday,
- 1:15Speaker 2: November eighth, New York Giants one o'clock bye week, Week
- 1:19Speaker 2: ten Sunday, November twenty two. Pittsburgh Steelers four twenty five
- 1:24Speaker 2: Thursday November twenty sixth at Dallas Cowboys four thirty Sunday,
- 1:29Speaker 2: December sixth. At Arizona Cardinals four oh five Sunday, December thirteenth,
- 1:35Speaker 2: Indianapolis Colts one o'clock Saturday, December nineteenth, Seattle Seahawks five
- 1:40Speaker 2: o'clock Thursday, December twenty fourth, Houston Texans eight fifteen Sunday,
- 1:46Speaker 2: January third, at San Francisco forty nine Ers eight twenty
- 1:50Speaker 2: and TBD Week eighteen at New York Giants. That is
- 1:55Speaker 2: your Philadelphia Eagles schedule, and we knew who the opponents
- 1:59Speaker 2: were going to be, but now we know the where
- 2:01Speaker 2: and when of it all. And really, like any schedule,
- 2:06Speaker 2: there's always going to be some quibbles, but I thought
- 2:09Speaker 2: that it was fairly balanced for the Eagles, to no surprise,
- 2:13Speaker 2: given the franchisees rich history, consistent viability, and their drawl.
- 2:17Speaker 1: The Eagles have no shortage of primetime matchups. They have five.
- 2:21Speaker 2: There's that international game that I mentioned with the Jacksonville Jaguars.
- 2:25Speaker 2: That's included in the twenty twenty sixth slate. All eyes
- 2:28Speaker 2: are going to be on the Eagles, and that seems
- 2:31Speaker 2: to be the case really over the last three, four
- 2:34Speaker 2: or five years, and that comes with the success.
- 2:36Speaker 1: That comes with the fan base.
- 2:38Speaker 2: The Eagles fans travel, there's always a lot of eyes
- 2:41Speaker 2: that are drawn to this franchise, and there's a lot
- 2:44Speaker 2: of storylines around this team. How is the new offense
- 2:48Speaker 2: going to look and how will the offense operate potentially
- 2:53Speaker 2: without aj Brown in the mix. Then you have some
- 2:55Speaker 2: new faces on defense. Jehad Campbell's starting, Drew mccouba taking
- 2:59Speaker 2: over the top safety position, Raeke Wollen starting at corner,
- 3:04Speaker 2: and Jalen Carter will see he's coming back from the shoulder.
- 3:09Speaker 2: Seems to be trending in a very positive direction. But
- 3:13Speaker 2: there will be some some new pieces there. Jonathan Grenard,
- 3:17Speaker 2: of course, can't forget him replacing Jayalen Phillips as the
- 3:20Speaker 2: top of the rotation edge rusher. So there's a ton
- 3:24Speaker 2: of storylines that are relevant, and the schedule isn't worth
- 3:30Speaker 2: without imperfections. There's the Thanksgiving game against Dallas at Dallas,
- 3:36Speaker 2: the Christmas Eve game in Philadelphia against the Houston Texans.
- 3:40Speaker 2: The Texans have a tremendous defense. I'm not sold on CJ. Stroud,
- 3:44Speaker 2: though I was bullish on him coming out.
- 3:46Speaker 1: Of the draft. He was my top rated quarterback.
- 3:49Speaker 2: And they're going to have the ninth most air miles
- 3:52Speaker 2: in the NFL. A lot of that, of course, can
- 3:54Speaker 2: be attributed to the trip to London. The Eagles are
- 3:58Speaker 2: going to face four teams coming off by weeks. The
- 4:01Speaker 2: Los Angeles Chargers are the only other team that are
- 4:04Speaker 2: faced with such a challenge. But you know what, that's
- 4:08Speaker 2: that's life in the big city, Okay. I mean, that's
- 4:11Speaker 2: the way that it goes in the NFL. No one's
- 4:13Speaker 2: gonna feel sorry for the Chargers of the Eagles.
- 4:15Speaker 1: That that's kind of the luck of the draw, if
- 4:18Speaker 1: you will.
- 4:18Speaker 2: They're gonna have their share quick turnarounds. But there are
- 4:24Speaker 2: some favorable elements to this schedule. We'll get to that
- 4:29Speaker 2: in the moment. But you know, following the week three
- 4:31Speaker 2: Monday night game in Chicago, they host a dangerous Rams team,
- 4:35Speaker 2: But the Rams are traveling across the country for a
- 4:38Speaker 2: one pm start, so that might cancel things out. The
- 4:41Speaker 2: Eagles have performed exceptionally against Sean McVay. Nick Sirianni and
- 4:46Speaker 2: company really seems to have his number, even though for
- 4:49Speaker 2: some reason, Sean McVay seems to get more accolades than
- 4:52Speaker 2: Nick Sirianni, and Nick Sirianni has certainly outperformed Sean McVay
- 4:59Speaker 2: in their match. There's the Week six game, of course,
- 5:02Speaker 2: where the Eagles return from London and they're hosting an
- 5:06Speaker 2: upstart Carolina Panthers team and they're coming off of bye week.
- 5:10Speaker 2: Not a great spot there, but I mentioned the advantages,
- 5:14Speaker 2: and I'm talking about after the Week five London tripped
- 5:18Speaker 2: Eagles won't have to board a plane until Week twelve,
- 5:21Speaker 2: when they face the Dallas Cowboys for Thanksgiving and that
- 5:26Speaker 2: intriguing matchup on Christmas Eve with the Houston Texans. The
- 5:29Speaker 2: Eagles will benefit from an extra day of rest they
- 5:31Speaker 2: play the previous Saturday. The Texans play at one o'clock
- 5:36Speaker 2: that Sunday, and that's going to be a very physical,
- 5:39Speaker 2: taxing matchup. I would imagine a lot on the minds
- 5:42Speaker 2: of both teams. I can understand if there might be
- 5:45Speaker 2: some distractions. It's the day before Christmas, so you know
- 5:50Speaker 2: the families will be you know, in town and all that,
- 5:54Speaker 2: and they also have back to back to back. That
- 5:59Speaker 2: would be three instances this season where there's back to
- 6:02Speaker 2: back home games and they didn't have any last season.
- 6:06Speaker 2: There's that daunting stretch from weeks fifteen to seventeen the Seahawks,
- 6:10Speaker 2: Texans and forty nine Ers. But they're going to go
- 6:13Speaker 2: to Santa Clara, which is where the forty nine Ers
- 6:15Speaker 2: play off a ten day layoff, so it's sort of
- 6:19Speaker 2: a mini bye week there.
- 6:20Speaker 1: Minor but relevant.
- 6:21Speaker 2: The Eagles avoid traveling to Chicago in the winter, where
- 6:25Speaker 2: those frigid temperatures can sometimes act as an equalizer.
- 6:29Speaker 1: Instead, they're visiting in.
- 6:30Speaker 2: September, still on Monday Night football in Chicago. Caleb Williams,
- 6:34Speaker 2: Ben Johnson. That's a really tough spot for the Eagles.
- 6:37Speaker 2: I personally don't do w's andels, but that might be
- 6:41Speaker 2: a spot where they drop an early season game. It's
- 6:46Speaker 2: not ideal to have a bye to not have a
- 6:49Speaker 2: bye week on the heels of a London trip. It's
- 6:51Speaker 2: a lot of travel and you have to reacclimate. But
- 6:55Speaker 2: there is another way to look at this, and the
- 6:57Speaker 2: Eagles get their bye week in week ten. They're going
- 7:01Speaker 2: to be fresh off a three game NFC East run,
- 7:05Speaker 2: and those divisional ballots typically take its toll. They're grueling,
- 7:10Speaker 2: they're physical, and given the way that the rosters are
- 7:14Speaker 2: constructed for the Commanders, Cowboys and Giants, they are teams
- 7:19Speaker 2: that you can see the vision. They have some structure
- 7:23Speaker 2: in place. Looking at the New York Giants in particular,
- 7:26Speaker 2: the Dallas Cowboys have Christian Parker in place, some young
- 7:29Speaker 2: intriguing pieces on defense. They're all trending in the right direction.
- 7:33Speaker 2: So they're going to be a little bit more competitive.
- 7:35Speaker 2: Maybe not next season particularly, but in the foreseeable future,
- 7:39Speaker 2: it's not hard to see that. And at that point
- 7:42Speaker 2: in the season, presumably they're going to be in the
- 7:46Speaker 2: mix a little bit, so it could be a little
- 7:47Speaker 2: bit more highly competitive, and you're not likely to see
- 7:53Speaker 2: as much injuries as you would later later in the season.
- 7:56Speaker 2: Looking at Jayden Daniels the way that he plays, Jackson
- 7:58Speaker 2: Dart the way that he plays that that play style
- 8:01Speaker 2: lends itself to to injuries. But they're catching those teams
- 8:05Speaker 2: earlier where remember last season, they caught the Commanders way
- 8:08Speaker 2: late in the season and it really wasn't much of
- 8:12Speaker 2: a much of a battle, though the Eagles had the
- 8:15Speaker 2: scratch and claw in that Commander's Game late in the year.
- 8:19Speaker 2: But anyway, they're gonna have the benefit of extra rest
- 8:24Speaker 2: because they have the bye week after the NFC run,
- 8:27Speaker 2: and then they're gonna get ready for a uber physical
- 8:30Speaker 2: matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Steelers always play a
- 8:35Speaker 2: very gritty brand of football. The Eagles do as well,
- 8:39Speaker 2: but they're going to come off that that that rest,
- 8:42Speaker 2: that that accompanies the bye week, and I think that
- 8:45Speaker 2: bye week actually comes at a solid time for that team,
- 8:48Speaker 2: especially the way the schedule sort of sort of fell
- 8:52Speaker 2: into place, and at that stage of the season, even
- 8:55Speaker 2: a minuscule advantage can make a considerable difference. What almost
- 9:00Speaker 2: looking forward to is the joint practices with the New
- 9:04Speaker 2: England Patriots in August. They played the Patriots August twenty second,
- 9:10Speaker 2: and they'll be joint practices.
- 9:14Speaker 1: That precede that. So I'm fascinated by that.
- 9:18Speaker 3: All right, everybody, Just a quick break to remind you,
- 9:21Speaker 3: if you haven't noticed, sun's coming out, it's getting warmer,
- 9:25Speaker 3: especially where we are in the Northeast. That reminds you
- 9:28Speaker 3: that summer's right around the corner and with late spring
- 9:31Speaker 3: and summer come a ton of activities. I know for me,
- 9:34Speaker 3: and I'm sure just like everybody else. You know, my
- 9:36Speaker 3: kids play softball, I'm at tournaments every weekend, and then
- 9:40Speaker 3: there's gonna be barbecues. And I actually turn fifty the
- 9:44Speaker 3: big five oh this year, along with many of my friends.
- 9:46Speaker 3: So I know there's gonna be a lot of fiftieth
- 9:48Speaker 3: birthday parties. And look, I know that at these parties,
- 9:52Speaker 3: I'm gonna have a few drinks. I'm gonna want to
- 9:54Speaker 3: have fun with my friends. And now that I'm fifty,
- 9:57Speaker 3: we're going to be fifty. I know that I just
- 10:01Speaker 3: don't feel as great the next day, even if I
- 10:03Speaker 3: just have a few drinks the night before. So I
- 10:07Speaker 3: tried this new product called Cheers Restore. Okay, it restores
- 10:13Speaker 3: how you feel the next morning. You take it after
- 10:17Speaker 3: your last drink before bed. It works while you sleep,
- 10:21Speaker 3: and their claim to fame is that you feel fifty
- 10:24Speaker 3: percent better the next morning or your money back. So basically,
- 10:28Speaker 3: if you have seven or eight beers throughout a barbecue,
- 10:33Speaker 3: then the next day you may feel like you only
- 10:35Speaker 3: had three or four. So basically, Cheers Restore helps you
- 10:39Speaker 3: metabolize alcohol more efficiently, and it supports overall liver health.
- 10:44Speaker 3: Most people think that when you drink, you get dehydrated,
- 10:47Speaker 3: and that's why you don't feel great the next day.
- 10:49Speaker 3: The real issue is actually what happens in your brain
- 10:53Speaker 3: and liver while you're sleeping. So when the alcohol leaves
- 10:56Speaker 3: your system, your brain goes into this rebound mode and
- 10:59Speaker 3: that's what makes you feel bad. The DHM and Cheers
- 11:01Speaker 3: works while you sleep to smooth out that rebound, and
- 11:04Speaker 3: at the same time, the alcohol converts into a toxic
- 11:08Speaker 3: byproduct that your liver has to clear out. The ceisteine
- 11:11Speaker 3: and Cheers helps speed that up. It's backed by doctors,
- 11:15Speaker 3: PhDs and over one thousand verified clinicians. They've sold over
- 11:19Speaker 3: fifty million doses, and Cheers is also available in thirty
- 11:22Speaker 3: thousand retail locations that includes Target, cvs and Walgreens. So
- 11:27Speaker 3: take Cheers, restore after your last drink or before going
- 11:30Speaker 3: to bed, and wake up feeling at least fifty percent better,
- 11:33Speaker 3: or your money back. For a limited time, our listeners
- 11:36Speaker 3: are getting twenty percent off their entire order by using
- 11:39Speaker 3: the code birds BRDS at cheershealth dot com. So just

- 11:56Speaker 3: Philly fans, game day is stressful enough. Parking, traffic, long lines,
- 12:01Speaker 3: We've all been there, But when it comes to your cannabis,
- 12:04Speaker 3: Camden Apothecary makes it easy. This is the dispensary for
- 12:09Speaker 3: sports fans, just minutes outside of Philly, with plenty of
- 12:12Speaker 3: free parking. You'll be in and out fast, no hassle,
- 12:15Speaker 3: no waiting, and they don't just care about convenience. Camdn
- 12:19Speaker 3: Apothecary is all about the guest experience. Their staff makes
- 12:23Speaker 3: sure you feel taken care of every time you walk in. Plus,
- 12:27Speaker 3: they carry only the best quality cannabis at the fairest prices,
- 12:32Speaker 3: so whether you're stocking up for the tailgate, the watch party,
- 12:35Speaker 3: or celebrating a big win, you know you're getting the
- 12:38Speaker 3: good stuff without overpaying. They even show love to the
- 12:42Speaker 3: community with specials for fans, students, service members, and healthcare pros.
- 12:47Speaker 3: Camed Den Apothecary top quality cannabis, great prices, and an
- 12:52Speaker 3: experience made for Philly Fans twenty one and up.
- 12:55Speaker 2: I think joint practices are the ultimate indicator. That's where
- 12:58Speaker 2: you get the most quality, especially from a starter perspective.
- 13:02Speaker 2: You don't see them really take any reps at all
- 13:04Speaker 2: in the preseason, nor should they, but you get a
- 13:07Speaker 2: lot of work in those joint practices. They're focused on,
- 13:11Speaker 2: you know, certain instances down in distance and all that.
- 13:15Speaker 2: So you like the competitiveness that's usually derived from that,
- 13:20Speaker 2: and it's a controlled environment.
- 13:22Speaker 1: And so that to me is what I am.
- 13:25Speaker 2: Most interested in seeing as the off season and training
- 13:30Speaker 2: camp and regular season. I mean, there's a wave of
- 13:34Speaker 2: things coming up here for the photoph Eagles, and I
- 13:37Speaker 2: think for me, anyone who knows me knows that training
- 13:40Speaker 2: camp is my favorite point in an NFL season. Those
- 13:45Speaker 2: joint practices are the highlight of my summer. Sad as
- 13:48Speaker 2: it may sound to some of you out there, but yeah,
- 13:51Speaker 2: that I kind of outlined as to why. So those
- 13:54Speaker 2: are some of my notes, my immediate thoughts on the
- 13:56Speaker 2: Eagle schedule.
- 13:57Speaker 1: I don't like to spend a ton of time.
- 13:59Speaker 2: Breaking, you know, looking at at all the scheduling intricacies
- 14:04Speaker 2: and all that we knew who they were playing, and
- 14:07Speaker 2: now we know where and when the Eagles.
- 14:10Speaker 1: Are playing these respective teams.
- 14:12Speaker 2: Every or every franchise has some positives and negatives, and
- 14:17Speaker 2: they can have their quibbles with the schedule, but it
- 14:19Speaker 2: is what it is. The better teams are going to
- 14:22Speaker 2: find a way to prevail. Health is obviously a big
- 14:24Speaker 2: indicator here, but as it stands right now the Eagles,
- 14:28Speaker 2: it doesn't change the way that I view this Eagles
- 14:31Speaker 2: season going into it. I think the Eagles are among
- 14:33Speaker 2: the NFL's elite. I'll have questions about how the offense
- 14:37Speaker 2: is ultimately going to take shape. I imagine that it's
- 14:39Speaker 2: going to take a couple of weeks for it to
- 14:41Speaker 2: really fire on all cylinders. But that's what makes you know,
- 14:46Speaker 2: chronicling the Philadelphia Eagles and keeping everybody up breast with
- 14:50Speaker 2: with what all the ongoings with the team something that
- 14:54Speaker 2: I very much enjoyed doing.
- 14:55Speaker 1: So with that, that's going to do it.
- 14:57Speaker 2: For this episode of the Czech O Daily in Drew
- 15:00Speaker 2: to Checko, We'll catch you all on the next one.
