- 1:10Speaker 4: Kevin Mannix called Bill touplicitous ponds come before he took
- 1:13Speaker 4: the job.
- 1:13Speaker 5: Before we even had the job, And Paul's like, come on,
- 1:16Speaker 5: you know, I think that's a little strong history on
- 1:20Speaker 5: Patriots dot Com today. If you haven't already seen it,
- 1:22Speaker 5: it's out there.
- 1:23Speaker 4: It's Mike, one of my finest.
- 1:26Speaker 5: I smell a pulitzer. Yes, I really do.
- 1:28Speaker 4: People get really up in arms, like he says too much, Mike,
- 1:32Speaker 4: who might not be my buddy Tony who I'm going
- 1:34Speaker 4: to see later on today.
- 1:35Speaker 5: His plan was Garoppolo and Brady ruined it.
- 1:37Speaker 6: Yeah, but then you should have had by winning Super.
- 1:39Speaker 4: Bowls right, throwing it to a pile, and you have
- 1:41Speaker 4: a guy who the trailer, Yeah, and he gets to
- 1:44Speaker 4: extricates himself on the pile.
- 1:46Speaker 7: Journalism words on me here today. I don't know what
- 1:48Speaker 7: they mean.
- 1:48Speaker 5: Do you ever see those old asks? It's unbelievable. When
- 1:51Speaker 5: the little lady asked for appliances. I looked around and
- 1:54Speaker 5: did research. I find it. I'll never use it because
- 1:58Speaker 5: I'm the man of the ass.
- 1:59Speaker 2: This is Patriots Unfiltered, presented by Toyota's official website for
- 2:04Speaker 2: deals by a Toyota dot com.
- 2:08Speaker 5: All right, welcome the Patriots Unfiltered. It is Thursday here
- 2:12Speaker 5: at ji Lets Stadium, and it's a big show. I
- 2:15Speaker 5: feel like we have a lot to talk about. Uh,
- 2:18Speaker 5: it's Evan, Paul Duce, myself. Matt's in the booth. Alex
- 2:22Speaker 5: called in saying she got note in We've got literally
- 2:26Speaker 5: inches on the ground. It's weak, telling you right now,
- 2:30Speaker 5: it's weak.
- 2:32Speaker 4: I don't care.
- 2:33Speaker 6: He always does this whenever we try to pick on Alex,
- 2:37Speaker 6: got you always got well.
- 2:41Speaker 5: We sauce leave earlier, drive slower. That's that's all you
- 2:46Speaker 5: have to do.
- 2:46Speaker 4: So it was I'm gonna just give something away here.
- 2:50Speaker 4: It was a historic week in the picks positive.
- 2:53Speaker 5: Oh okay, that's all right. One thing that we I
- 2:58Speaker 5: keep saying I'm going to do, but we haven't done
- 3:00Speaker 5: when your picks? No, No, do my five most hated teams?
- 3:05Speaker 5: We still haven't talked about.
- 3:06Speaker 4: Did you not do that?
- 3:07Speaker 5: No?
- 3:08Speaker 4: We keep about, but.
- 3:10Speaker 5: We never we get distracted and I never end.
- 3:12Speaker 4: Up doing It's funny. I thought we did do that.
- 3:14Speaker 5: I know we've said it a couple of times, but
- 3:16Speaker 5: we haven't done it. Why don't we start off because
- 3:20Speaker 5: the team's been off.
- 3:22Speaker 4: There's not really any news today, right, I miss any news.
- 3:25Speaker 5: A couple of roster you know, practice squad things that
- 3:29Speaker 5: came out yesterday, right, think that was a couple of
- 3:32Speaker 5: two days ago.
- 3:33Speaker 7: Yeah, I thought, well, I don't want to, but I
- 3:35Speaker 7: thought there was some interesting stuff on your show yesterday
- 3:37Speaker 7: with Belichick in college. I thought that was interesting little.
- 3:40Speaker 5: Oh that he's looking at U n C.
- 3:42Speaker 6: I totally believe it.
- 3:43Speaker 7: I totally believe it. I think he just wants to coach,
- 3:46Speaker 7: you know, that's the program. Like I mean, I think
- 3:50Speaker 7: they just lost the coach.
- 3:51Speaker 6: I know, but like college has turnover, just like the NFL,
- 3:54Speaker 6: like there'll be a better job than than U n
- 3:56Speaker 6: C in the college. I mean, you mass is open,
- 3:58Speaker 6: no offense to Drake.
- 3:59Speaker 4: May you know your mass is not open?
- 4:01Speaker 5: It not.
- 4:02Speaker 4: They hired something the defensive coordinator from Rutgers.
- 4:04Speaker 5: I heard though, if you're going for your masters in psychology,
- 4:07Speaker 5: they have a good program, so you know, free tuition.
- 4:10Speaker 4: This is why they make fun of us.
- 4:13Speaker 5: Okay, all right, who makes fun of us?
- 4:15Speaker 4: They who?
- 4:16Speaker 5: No one? No one admits to what listening to this show?
- 4:19Speaker 5: That's you're in the media.
- 4:21Speaker 4: That's a good point.
- 4:21Speaker 5: We can't admit that you watch it.
- 4:23Speaker 4: A lot of those guys, right, they were for the team.
- 4:25Speaker 5: The compromise they do all right? So uh yes, sus
- 4:31Speaker 5: So my top five they came out in the newsletter
- 4:34Speaker 5: like weeks ago, Paul, Do you remember what it was
- 4:37Speaker 5: because I.
- 4:37Speaker 4: Don't, Mike. Mike's got a pen. So I think I
- 4:42Speaker 4: think most people accurately predict predicted that the Jets would.
- 4:45Speaker 5: Be one of Yeah, so from the bottom to the top.
- 4:48Speaker 4: Oh, I can't do them in order.
- 4:49Speaker 5: So I think number five was the Eagles.
- 4:51Speaker 4: Okay, that was the one that kind of got me surprise.
- 4:54Speaker 5: And the reasoning for the Eagles is that they spoiled
- 4:58Speaker 5: Brady's record offensive output in twenty eighteen, and their fans.
- 5:05Speaker 4: Imagine that's a reason to hate the team.
- 5:08Speaker 5: Absolutely, and and and their fans are bragging about being idiots.
- 5:15Speaker 5: They aren't, you know, at like it's unbelievable. They like
- 5:19Speaker 5: to them, it's it's like this badge of honor to
- 5:22Speaker 5: be just you know, idiots. And you know, everybody remembers
- 5:26Speaker 5: throwing snowballs at Santa, but they've done worse things. They
- 5:29Speaker 5: throw batteries. I remember after we beat them, uh you
- 5:34Speaker 5: know in Super Bowl was two thousand and four, and
- 5:37Speaker 5: after the game, they were just like literally just punching
- 5:40Speaker 5: people for no reason.
- 5:41Speaker 4: Would you get punched, because that would be a reason
- 5:43Speaker 4: for you to help, Yeah, but I saw it happen.
- 5:46Speaker 4: You saw people getting punched.
- 5:47Speaker 6: Yeah, and for just no.
- 5:49Speaker 4: We're coming around on the hatred now, you know.
- 5:51Speaker 5: So that's that's why they're at number five, number four.
- 5:56Speaker 4: Number four. I believe you don't remember, Paul, I don't
- 6:00Speaker 4: remember your order.
- 6:01Speaker 5: Okay, I believe four were the Bills. This one also
- 6:05Speaker 5: was a little and the Bills, well, I I in
- 6:10Speaker 5: the newsletter. I made it clear that when I refer
- 6:13Speaker 5: to they in my reasoning, they often you know, means
- 6:19Speaker 5: the fans, it's not just the team. So so the Bills,
- 6:24Speaker 5: I'm starting to hate them because you know, they think
- 6:26Speaker 5: that they act like they've won something. They haven't won anything,
- 6:30Speaker 5: won nothing, They've won nothing yet, but they act like
- 6:32Speaker 5: they're the kings of the world. And look, they've got
- 6:35Speaker 5: a great team. I'd be excited too with Josh Allen,
- 6:38Speaker 5: but until they win a Super Bowl, don't talk to me.
- 6:42Speaker 5: You know, they're out taking billboards and Route one in
- 6:45Speaker 5: Foxborough and you know, screw that.
- 6:48Speaker 6: I do have to admit I don't care for that.
- 6:51Speaker 6: I didn't care like, Okay, you're AFC Championship banner, right,
- 6:56Speaker 6: we beat the Patriots.
- 6:58Speaker 5: Until you win something, don't talk to me. I have
- 7:01Speaker 5: no idea who three was.
- 7:03Speaker 4: So I know who I know two of the teams
- 7:06Speaker 4: are well, I know you can't think of the third one.
- 7:09Speaker 4: Now I'm not sure we know one of them is.
- 7:13Speaker 5: People are like you hate them that much if you
- 7:15Speaker 5: can't even remember who they are. The Jets, well, Jets
- 7:18Speaker 5: were two, Jets are two and number one was the Bengals.
- 7:22Speaker 4: Since Cincinnati.
- 7:24Speaker 5: Yeah, the Jets to be number one for obvious reasons,
- 7:27Speaker 5: the border war, you know, that whole thing. Just can't
- 7:31Speaker 5: stand the Jets. Their most famous fan, this fireman ed
- 7:35Speaker 5: literally abandoned the team when they were bad and when
- 7:38Speaker 5: he thought they were going to start getting good because
- 7:40Speaker 5: they drafted number one and got a quarterback who ended
- 7:44Speaker 5: up stinking. Then he came back to do his thing again.
- 7:47Speaker 5: He's a fraud, the whole, the whole. They play in
- 7:50Speaker 5: New Jersey. They're not the New York Jets, the whole.
- 7:54Speaker 5: The whole team is a fraud. They should be the
- 7:56Speaker 5: first team to move to Europe.
- 7:58Speaker 4: They should be relegated.
- 7:59Speaker 5: Yeah, just just seed the New York metropolitan area to
- 8:04Speaker 5: the Giants and just moved to Europe.
- 8:06Speaker 4: Okay, you know he doesn't consider the Giants in New Jersey.
- 8:09Speaker 5: I know the Giants actually trained and they went first.
- 8:13Speaker 5: I know, I know so. But the Jets are just
- 8:16Speaker 5: a fraud team and number one is the Bengals because
- 8:19Speaker 5: of you know, the whole This time it's personal. Yeah,
- 8:24Speaker 5: I mean, they had we had that incident where they
- 8:28Speaker 5: claimed that our cameras content not football, were filming their bench.
- 8:32Speaker 5: We were there doing a behind the scenes with one
- 8:35Speaker 5: of our traveling scouts. We had permission from the Browns
- 8:39Speaker 5: it was their press box, to film in the press box.
- 8:43Speaker 5: And you know, we whoever was there on our behalf
- 8:48Speaker 5: made a mistake by just leaving the camera on the
- 8:50Speaker 5: tripod while he went to go eat or go to
- 8:53Speaker 5: the bathroom. And you know, the Bengals were like, oh,
- 8:56Speaker 5: they're filming our bench. You know, like we really needed
- 8:59Speaker 5: to cheat at that time to beat their asses. But
- 9:02Speaker 5: as a result of them, like after even looking at
- 9:06Speaker 5: the film of what we did and why we were
- 9:08Speaker 5: doing it and the whole thing, they still claimed that
- 9:11Speaker 5: we were cheating. That could have ended so quickly and
- 9:16Speaker 5: as a result, somebody on our staff got fired. And
- 9:19Speaker 5: so I will never forgive the Bengals for not like, yeah,
- 9:23Speaker 5: we know what they were doing. They were they weren't cheating,
- 9:27Speaker 5: they weren't doing anything close to that. Yet they you know,
- 9:30Speaker 5: we've got the Patriots where we want them. It was
- 9:32Speaker 5: just such such, so I'll never forgive them. But who's
- 9:37Speaker 5: number three?
- 9:37Speaker 4: I don't know. I don't know who you love the team?
- 9:40Speaker 5: Let me go up the uh was it the chiefs?
- 9:43Speaker 4: Now?
- 9:43Speaker 5: I don't think it was the Chiefs.
- 9:46Speaker 6: I don't know how to jalant.
- 9:49Speaker 5: Oh, yes, it was the Cowboys. And so the reason
- 9:51Speaker 5: it was the Cowboys, And I explained, I have friends
- 9:53Speaker 5: who work for the Cowboys, you know, peers. But the
- 9:57Speaker 5: reason why I hate the Cowboys is everything they touched
- 10:00Speaker 5: turned to gold. I said, you know, get yourself someone
- 10:03Speaker 5: in your life that stands by you the way those
- 10:07Speaker 5: fans stand by them despite no winning. And you know,
- 10:11Speaker 5: that's why I hate the Cowboys is they can do
- 10:13Speaker 5: no wrong. You know, the fans complain about them, but man,
- 10:17Speaker 5: they buy everything that they put out and it's it's unbelievable.
- 10:21Speaker 5: So that they have it so easy, that's why I
- 10:23Speaker 5: hate them.
- 10:24Speaker 6: Do you keep track over there, dude?
- 10:26Speaker 4: So do you want to run those downs?
- 10:27Speaker 7: Run that down? So we have a five Philly, four bills,
- 10:31Speaker 7: three Dallas, you said, three Dallas, two Jets, and number
- 10:34Speaker 7: one Cincinnati number one since.
- 10:35Speaker 4: Now powerless five.
- 10:39Speaker 5: Yeah, teams that have dropped off. The Raiders used to
- 10:43Speaker 5: be up.
- 10:43Speaker 4: There, that's the one I was really taking it back.
- 10:46Speaker 4: I thought the Raiders and the Steelers might have a spot.
- 10:49Speaker 5: Yeah, the Raiders, like they used to be up there.
- 10:52Speaker 5: But I can't be mad at them. They're not Oakland anymore.
- 10:56Speaker 5: They're in Las Vegas. They're not the team that used
- 10:59Speaker 5: to be. I have no problem with the Raiders. The
- 11:02Speaker 5: Colts used to be up there back when Rickson was
- 11:05Speaker 5: the Napoleon Polyon, you know, in all the stuff that
- 11:10Speaker 5: you know, they started to flay gate. They started it,
- 11:12Speaker 5: you know, and but you know, and all the Polion,
- 11:16Speaker 5: you know, changing the rules because you know, our cornerbacks
- 11:20Speaker 5: were just too too tough for them. I just couldn't
- 11:22Speaker 5: stand the Colts. I had nothing against Peyton Manning, by
- 11:25Speaker 5: the way, I made fun of him, but I respected
- 11:28Speaker 5: Peyton Manning throughout the dynasty. But it was Plion and Gregson,
- 11:33Speaker 5: who was just a Gregson just.
- 11:36Speaker 4: A bad guy like Poleion, Like he was sort of,
- 11:40Speaker 4: you know, loud and you know, it's kind of arrogant.
- 11:44Speaker 4: But I respected. I respected what he did. Oh he
- 11:47Speaker 4: knew what he was doing, a Hall of Fame resume.
- 11:50Speaker 5: But to me, it was I can just say stuff
- 11:53Speaker 5: about us, like screw him. So Colts used to be
- 11:55Speaker 5: on it, but now like again, they've dropped off because
- 11:58Speaker 5: they're just you know.
- 12:00Speaker 4: So I'll give you Fred's all time most hated moment
- 12:04Speaker 4: for the Colts was post six AFC Championship game in Indianapolis.
- 12:09Speaker 4: Is this what I think it is? Probably we're leaving
- 12:12Speaker 4: the press box, We're getting ready to go down in
- 12:14Speaker 4: the in the elevator, and Bill Pollion is there, like
- 12:18Speaker 4: in the middle of the press box, and it's just
- 12:20Speaker 4: like the Patriots had their time.
- 12:23Speaker 5: No, this time, it wasn't the press box. He was
- 12:26Speaker 5: in the it was in the service tunnel. He comes
- 12:27Speaker 5: running out. It's it's the Patriots had their time. It's
- 12:32Speaker 5: the Cults time. He's running out.
- 12:34Speaker 4: It's like he's not exaggerating.
- 12:36Speaker 5: It was so in his head.
- 12:37Speaker 7: I had always heard that, and that was I was
- 12:39Speaker 7: going to ask you guys about it. I didn't realize
- 12:41Speaker 7: you were actually right there when he was saying.
- 12:42Speaker 4: Oh yeah, Fred was right. Yeah, I'm taking I am
- 12:45Speaker 4: taking a leap of faith. I did not witness this,
- 12:47Speaker 4: and I'm trusting Fred.
- 12:48Speaker 7: To the Cults time when people were talking running it's
- 12:51Speaker 7: exactly what I heard. Patriots time is over.
- 12:53Speaker 4: Patriots. That was it, and they went undefeated the next year.
- 12:57Speaker 7: Yeah, I made the seven win it their month feel
- 13:00Speaker 7: a little bit better after.
- 13:01Speaker 5: So they were on the list for a while.
- 13:03Speaker 4: That game is still the most raucous plane ride home
- 13:06Speaker 4: of my travel career. One bites the dust.
- 13:09Speaker 5: Yeah, so there's the list for those who don't get
- 13:13Speaker 5: the newsletter. And if you do want to get the newsletter,
- 13:17Speaker 5: I don't shame on you. So I've been told by
- 13:19Speaker 5: our digital staff that in order to be on a
- 13:25Speaker 5: new newsletter list these days, privacy laws and everything you
- 13:28Speaker 5: have to agree to. You know, the senders turn out
- 13:32Speaker 5: privacy policies so so.
- 13:34Speaker 4: So we didn't look into it.
- 13:37Speaker 5: They had to get things done, so, you know. But
- 13:40Speaker 5: so if you're if you're getting the newsletter, now, anytime
- 13:44Speaker 5: you email the show, you're going to see a bounce
- 13:47Speaker 5: back that says, if you want to get the newsletter,
- 13:49Speaker 5: just agree to these terms and then you'll have a
- 13:51Speaker 5: link where you just sign up. So even if you're
- 13:54Speaker 5: already getting the newsletter, now, uh, you know, email the
- 13:58Speaker 5: show and do that anyway so that you can stay
- 14:00Speaker 5: on the list. I mean, we've literally literally got like
- 14:02Speaker 5: six thousand people that cup.
- 14:05Speaker 6: You know, how are the Giants not on your list?
- 14:09Speaker 5: You know, I've never had a hatred for the Giants,
- 14:12Speaker 5: even though they beat us in those two Super Bowls.
- 14:14Speaker 5: The way I look at it, is you know, good
- 14:16Speaker 5: for them, Like they didn't do anything like to piss
- 14:20Speaker 5: me off, you know, like the helmet catch, like the
- 14:24Speaker 5: guy made an amazing cat.
- 14:25Speaker 6: What can you do in the grasp?
- 14:27Speaker 5: So no, he was well, ELI was in. But that's
- 14:31Speaker 5: so be mad at the rest. I mean, the Giants
- 14:34Speaker 5: didn't make that nine.
- 14:34Speaker 4: Five years removed from the dynasty and we've still never
- 14:37Speaker 4: lost a game. I'm more mad.
- 14:38Speaker 5: I'm more mad at a Sante Samuel than I am
- 14:41Speaker 5: the Giants.
- 14:43Speaker 6: I the Giants and the Colts are one and two
- 14:48Speaker 6: for me, So I just had to ask about the Giants.
- 14:50Speaker 7: Yeah, but do you have trouble Like I like, I
- 14:52Speaker 7: saw that Colts team out there, and I just I
- 14:54Speaker 7: don't feel the same way.
- 14:56Speaker 4: I didn't. I didn't hate anymore Pollyon. I almost called
- 15:00Speaker 4: the rubbed me the wrong way. There was another game
- 15:04Speaker 4: here that they beat us in a night game and
- 15:07Speaker 4: Fluti was in mopping up at the end of the
- 15:08Speaker 4: game and he's begging on the table, breaking he was
- 15:12Speaker 4: he was like he was tough. It was irascle Yeah, I.
- 15:16Speaker 7: Think I like, I'll start this with I appreciate Patrick Mahomes,
- 15:19Speaker 7: Like I just appreciate greatness. I have no criticism of him, really,
- 15:22Speaker 7: but I don't the organization of the Chiefs would like
- 15:25Speaker 7: yay and the clapping, and they're not. It's getting like
- 15:27Speaker 7: pushed aside for them to like go up in the elevator.
- 15:30Speaker 7: So like the organization every single game some more. But
- 15:36Speaker 7: I don't know that that organization kind of rubs me.
- 15:39Speaker 5: Oh sure, I mean, but you don't think the Patriots
- 15:42Speaker 5: rub people the wrong.
- 15:43Speaker 7: That's what you earn when you start anybody's.
- 15:46Speaker 5: So I can't be mad at the Chiefs either, because
- 15:48Speaker 5: they're good, you don't.
- 15:49Speaker 6: Yeah, I don't hate any teams anymore. I think like
- 15:52Speaker 6: my just covering the the Patriots and the football, it
- 15:56Speaker 6: just doesn't so all my hatreds are from from the
- 15:59Speaker 6: dynasty and from as a fan. Yeah, and so Colts, Giants,
- 16:03Speaker 6: you know those are the teams.
- 16:04Speaker 5: Not enough bad things can happen to the Bengals. Really
- 16:07Speaker 5: for me it was And you know what, I love
- 16:09Speaker 5: Joe Burrow and it's too bad he's he should demand
- 16:14Speaker 5: the trade, he should get out of there.
- 16:15Speaker 6: Well, maybe you're gonna get it's a curse. Do everythink
- 16:18Speaker 6: of that?
- 16:19Speaker 5: It could be a curse. I hope it is Yeah,
- 16:21Speaker 5: and I hope I hold the key to that curse. Yeah,
- 16:24Speaker 5: I hope, I hope. I hope I'm the reason why
- 16:28Speaker 5: they're cursed. And then the Jets, like I can't you know,
- 16:32Speaker 5: like I said, there were fraud franchise. You know, they're
- 16:35Speaker 5: they're hiring Mike Tannenbaum to figure out what's wrong with
- 16:38Speaker 5: their team.
- 16:39Speaker 4: Good for them, that makes no sense at all, you know, so, uh, Mike,
- 16:43Speaker 4: who do you got? Chiefs?
- 16:45Speaker 7: Is so kind of like Evan does though, Like I
- 16:47Speaker 7: don't really hate a lot of teams anymore.
- 16:49Speaker 5: I don't.
- 16:49Speaker 7: It's hard when I know I used to hate well
- 16:54Speaker 7: when the Patriots were in rivalries with teams and like
- 16:57Speaker 7: the Colts, like, but I always hated like the Jets,
- 17:00Speaker 7: like especially in the Rex Ryan like they really got
- 17:02Speaker 7: under my skin. But I don't know, I almost find
- 17:05Speaker 7: myself don't kill me for this, But like I kind
- 17:07Speaker 7: of feel a little rooting for Buffalo a little bit,
- 17:09Speaker 7: like I kind of root for Josh Allen a tiny bit.
- 17:11Speaker 7: Like I don't know, I just I think it'd be
- 17:13Speaker 7: cool to see Buffalo win a Super Bowl.
- 17:15Speaker 5: And I forgot another reason why I hate the Bills.
- 17:18Speaker 5: And I know he's not there anymore. Was Rex Ryan.
- 17:20Speaker 5: I mean he was so bumpastic. Now it was great theater,
- 17:24Speaker 5: I have to it was great. He was a showman.
- 17:27Speaker 4: He was really from Buffalo, though it was more more
- 17:29Speaker 4: the Jets, that's true.
- 17:31Speaker 7: When he was that Yeah, I thought it was great.
- 17:33Speaker 7: When he was with the Jets. I mean they beat
- 17:34Speaker 7: the Patriots a couple of seams, but it just it
- 17:36Speaker 7: brought some juice.
- 17:37Speaker 4: I never liked the Jets, but that little stretch I
- 17:40Speaker 4: actually respected because there was the first time that someone
- 17:42Speaker 4: stood up to the Patriots they were starting. It didn't
- 17:45Speaker 4: just like crawl go home, you know, they came. You know,
- 17:47Speaker 4: they came in here and won a playoff game. I
- 17:50Speaker 4: don't think they were as good, anywhere near as talented
- 17:52Speaker 4: as the Patriots.
- 17:53Speaker 7: Like the Mark Sanchez.
- 17:54Speaker 6: It was life in that playoff.
- 17:55Speaker 5: Remember their marketing department sent all their season ticket holders
- 18:00Speaker 5: a voice message from Rex Ryan and we really needed
- 18:03Speaker 5: to be this week. So that theboard game. We overreacted
- 18:08Speaker 5: to that game. I call it the grease board. So
- 18:11Speaker 5: we were like, oh, they're going to be really loud.
- 18:13Speaker 5: So all our you know, coaches came out with these
- 18:16Speaker 5: white grease boards that had the calls the signals on
- 18:20Speaker 5: them because they assumed they wouldn't be able to hear,
- 18:21Speaker 5: and it just backfired.
- 18:23Speaker 4: We well that in like Isaiah Stana was like the
- 18:25Speaker 4: third wife.
- 18:26Speaker 7: And the rookie plan for Welker who had to sit out.
- 18:29Speaker 7: I mean I literally remember that game, like just in
- 18:32Speaker 7: La Living where they're like walking down to breakfast before
- 18:35Speaker 7: the game started, attend and like seeing.
- 18:37Speaker 5: What Welker's out today?
- 18:38Speaker 7: Like I remember that feeling like, oh my, this kid
- 18:41Speaker 7: Edelman's got to come in. And so I guess maybe
- 18:43Speaker 7: that was I didn't really think of it, but that's
- 18:44Speaker 7: part of it, right, Probably because if it was Welker
- 18:47Speaker 7: and Moss like they they would they wouldn't need those
- 18:49Speaker 7: grease boards. They would have known how to go silent.
- 18:51Speaker 5: Count probably, you know, you know, like and it was loud,
- 18:56Speaker 5: but I mean the Chiefs are louder. Indoor stadiums are
- 18:59Speaker 5: often louder. It wasn't that wild. Well don't you feel
- 19:01Speaker 5: like they totally overreact? Right?
- 19:03Speaker 7: Well, that's the point in like practice, I feel like
- 19:05Speaker 7: your team gets the message of like oh no, like
- 19:06Speaker 7: I wouldn't you rather go with the messages like screw
- 19:08Speaker 7: these guys? They're gonna be loud, like we're gonna be
- 19:10Speaker 7: on our communication. We don't need to come up with
- 19:12Speaker 7: grease boards or anything like that. Like everybody be on
- 19:14Speaker 7: their pieces.
- 19:14Speaker 4: You know.
- 19:15Speaker 5: It was almost like if we come out with these
- 19:16Speaker 5: grease boards, then we're gonna be throwing them for a
- 19:18Speaker 5: little friend. I don't know what to do, and it was.
- 19:20Speaker 7: Just Hi, Mom, I don't know.
- 19:24Speaker 4: It's it's it's the big boys, Pittsburgh, the Raiders, the Cowboys,
- 19:29Speaker 4: the Niners. Hated them, all hated them.
- 19:33Speaker 5: Well, you always hated Miami, though Miami would be the Miami.
- 19:38Speaker 6: I get the Raiders roughing the passer.
- 19:40Speaker 4: But it was all the teams that dominated. When I
- 19:42Speaker 4: was like, Picksburgh won in the seventies, the Niners one
- 19:44Speaker 4: in the eightiess always my.
- 19:47Speaker 6: Face towards Pittsburgh because we just kicked their butts. So
- 19:50Speaker 6: it's like, why would I hate it?
- 19:51Speaker 4: But I don't hate the Like like I said, I
- 19:53Speaker 4: kind of have a respect for the teams.
- 19:56Speaker 5: Yeah I have.
- 19:57Speaker 4: I have Baltimore. I've never hated Baltimore. I know every
- 19:59Speaker 4: other Patriots fan probably does, YEA, because I respected the
- 20:02Speaker 4: way they played. They came and they played hard, all
- 20:05Speaker 4: the time.
- 20:06Speaker 5: I I I always respected the Steelers because I love
- 20:10Speaker 5: I like. I think the Rooney family has been good
- 20:12Speaker 5: for football, their continued success throughout all the decades, and
- 20:18Speaker 5: also their fans, believe it or not, because I used
- 20:20Speaker 5: to tell you this all the time. I would listen
- 20:22Speaker 5: to these national overnight sports show I remember, and their fans,
- 20:26Speaker 5: win or lose, always come back. They never tucked tail
- 20:29Speaker 5: after big losses. They came back and admitted defeat, and
- 20:33Speaker 5: so like, I respect that, you know. Uh so I've
- 20:36Speaker 5: always respected the Steelers. I've kind of always respected the Dolphins.
- 20:40Speaker 4: I hated Shula and I hated Marino.
- 20:42Speaker 5: Yeah, I love Like, how could you hate Marino.
- 20:45Speaker 4: Because he was good? We're talking about rational? This is
- 20:48Speaker 4: well why did he hate?
- 20:50Speaker 6: The Colts? Were good?
- 20:51Speaker 4: But I don't hate like Carolina.
- 20:54Speaker 6: I hated the Colts because we could have beaten the
- 20:56Speaker 6: Colts with a rugby ball on that night and they
- 20:58Speaker 6: had to make the flight gate happen.
- 20:59Speaker 5: Right.
- 21:00Speaker 4: I thought you were talking about like the rivalry, like
- 21:03Speaker 4: you know, that wasn't the rivalry.
- 21:05Speaker 6: The rivalry was cool. I was all for Theapoleon, like, yeah, please.
- 21:10Speaker 4: He played a good villain Like that was fun overrated
- 21:13Speaker 4: Like the was fun.
- 21:15Speaker 5: But I hate I hated it because I took it personally.
- 21:18Speaker 5: I did. I took it personally. That that tunabl Tunabil one.
- 21:23Speaker 4: That's about as mad as I've ever been during Again.
- 21:25Speaker 5: Great game, great game, but I want I was so
- 21:27Speaker 5: relieved when we won that game because the fallout if
- 21:31Speaker 5: we had.
- 21:32Speaker 4: Lost two months later.
- 21:35Speaker 5: Our work environment would have been miserable.
- 21:38Speaker 4: Had we lost that game, Yeah, I wasn't working here then. Yeah,
- 21:41Speaker 4: but yeah, I had the same same you were. Just
- 21:44Speaker 4: the recollection. That game wasn't fun. I wanted to kill him.
- 21:49Speaker 4: And then they got off to a great start and
- 21:50Speaker 4: then all of a sudden, the Jets turned it around
- 21:53Speaker 4: and it goes to overtime. They were lucky to get
- 21:56Speaker 4: to overtime. Who blocked the field goal to get to overtime?
- 22:00Speaker 5: Oh? A linebacker.
- 22:03Speaker 4: There's a defensive lineman. I forget Mike Mike Jones. Mike Jones,
- 22:08Speaker 4: Mike Jones, Mike Jones, I think, don't check it.
- 22:13Speaker 5: Yeah, Justin Wright said, I have never seen anyone hate
- 22:16Speaker 5: a team more than Fred hates the Bengals. Never change,
- 22:20Speaker 5: I won't. I have put a curse on them, and
- 22:24Speaker 5: the curse it seems like you it's.
- 22:26Speaker 4: Been a good year for you because they're they're four
- 22:28Speaker 4: and eight, so you're eight and four with pitt and
- 22:30Speaker 4: Bengals skate.
- 22:31Speaker 5: That's right, Diana writes in her hated most is the
- 22:36Speaker 5: Bears back in eighty five they beat the Patriots agonizing.
- 22:41Speaker 5: They did that stupid Super Bowl shuffle. They were such
- 22:44Speaker 5: braggarts to Miami. We lose all the time to them
- 22:47Speaker 5: at Florida.
- 22:48Speaker 4: You admit the Super Bowl shuffles.
- 22:49Speaker 5: They put our guys in a sweat box while they're
- 22:52Speaker 5: in the shades. They're jerks. The Steelers goes back to
- 22:55Speaker 5: Spygate whiners. Four. Colts goes back to Spygate whiners two
- 23:00Speaker 5: and five. Jets goes back to the whining Jets coach
- 23:02Speaker 5: Rex Ryan that was so obnoxious when losing to the Patriots,
- 23:07Speaker 5: Like Paul said, he had.
- 23:09Speaker 4: So hold on a second. You hate Pittsburgh in Indianapolis
- 23:12Speaker 4: because the spygate, and you don't hate the Jets because
- 23:14Speaker 4: of spik The Jets started spike game.
- 23:18Speaker 7: Rights.
- 23:20Speaker 4: Really Tane bomb.
- 23:21Speaker 5: Yeah, that's true, man. Well, Angini was the guy.
- 23:26Speaker 4: And Tanne Bond's been publicly apologizing to Belichick ever since.
- 23:29Speaker 4: On ESPN. Oh, Bill does it the best? Do you
- 23:31Speaker 4: think the best building the men quarterback room?
- 23:34Speaker 7: No?
- 23:35Speaker 5: No, Bill in California. I love Fred's list, but with
- 23:40Speaker 5: one exception. While I used to agree with the Bills,
- 23:42Speaker 5: I've come around my next door neighbors at Diehard, who
- 23:45Speaker 5: has the garage decked out in Bill's colors and fanfare.
- 23:48Speaker 5: Since I've introduced myself, they have been that most outgoing,
- 23:51Speaker 5: welcoming bunch. I know. While Fred has a point, they
- 23:53Speaker 5: haven't won anything big yet. They have won the AFC
- 23:56Speaker 5: East several years in a row. I say, let them brag.
- 24:00Speaker 5: They've earned it. It's like the little brother finally beating
- 24:02Speaker 5: the older brother in one on one basketball. Let them
- 24:05Speaker 5: get their shine before Drake becomes league MVP.
- 24:08Speaker 6: But they haven't earned anything, Like, they haven't won anything. No,
- 24:10Speaker 6: Like you want to hang division title banners like go
- 24:12Speaker 6: for it? The hang that annoys me about the Bill
- 24:14Speaker 6: because you know, I'll know I love Josh Allen. That
- 24:17Speaker 6: fan annoys me about the Bills. Yeah, this isn't college football.
- 24:20Speaker 6: This isn't We're not in Tuscaloosa. But you know, just
- 24:24Speaker 6: like to act like a professional. Okay, you don't have
- 24:27Speaker 6: to deck your house out.
- 24:28Speaker 5: But here's what I'll say about the Bills fans, you know,
- 24:31Speaker 5: and Brown's fans. Back before I worked here, I was
- 24:35Speaker 5: the publisher of another magazine which covered all of sports
- 24:38Speaker 5: in New England, and we did, you know, research on
- 24:42Speaker 5: like fan clubs back then. And the two most active
- 24:46Speaker 5: fan clubs in New England besides obviously Patriots, were the
- 24:49Speaker 5: brown Backers and the Bills. They had fan clubs all
- 24:53Speaker 5: over in Boston. They would gather, the Bills would gather
- 24:56Speaker 5: across the street from the Copley at that and they
- 25:00Speaker 5: would have their watch parties there, and the Browns Backers
- 25:03Speaker 5: were all over the place. So they have a really
- 25:05Speaker 5: good fan base. I mean, Brown Bills and Browns fans
- 25:09Speaker 5: are loyal.
- 25:10Speaker 6: They have a great fan base. The Bills do, but
- 25:12Speaker 6: they act like little kids, like you don't need to
- 25:15Speaker 6: go out and where Bill's gear all season long?
- 25:19Speaker 5: Thank you?
- 25:19Speaker 4: So I have this is like sparking something to me
- 25:22Speaker 4: because I kind of agree with Evan, and I'm going
- 25:25Speaker 4: to yes that you guys don't like the whole like
- 25:28Speaker 4: decorating your rooms and your houses or whatever like decked
- 25:32Speaker 4: out and well.
- 25:32Speaker 5: It's a grown man. It's kind of weird.
- 25:34Speaker 6: That's what I'm saying.
- 25:35Speaker 5: Total total kid. Did you have the NFL bed sheets
- 25:38Speaker 5: with all the teams? Yeah? I did, I did.
- 25:41Speaker 4: But I'm talking about adults, like in your home, like
- 25:45Speaker 4: you have like the room that you watch Patriots games,
- 25:48Speaker 4: and I have a I know a million people that
- 25:50Speaker 4: do it. Oh yeah, and I think it's really yeah,
- 25:53Speaker 4: you know, like and I'm not just talking about like
- 25:55Speaker 4: sports memorabilia around you know, like I have my footballs
- 25:58Speaker 4: down in my basement around the bar and stuff like that,
- 26:01Speaker 4: but I'm talking about No, those are upstairs somewhere. I
- 26:07Speaker 4: don't have as many as Fred. Fred has the AFC
- 26:11Speaker 4: Championship rings too, He's got the whole set, not all
- 26:14Speaker 4: of them. You're missing one.
- 26:16Speaker 5: Yeah, no, it's it's the one in Minnesota when we
- 26:22Speaker 5: played in Minnesota. I didn't get that one. I want
- 26:25Speaker 5: to get at it though.
- 26:26Speaker 4: Figure out I thought you were talking about it.
- 26:29Speaker 5: He got five. Oh I don't have eighty five either.
- 26:31Speaker 4: Yeah, because you weren't here. I didn't realize that you
- 26:33Speaker 4: didn't get would have.
- 26:34Speaker 5: Donny Brocher showed me his piece of junk eighty five, Yeah,
- 26:38Speaker 5: real piece of junk. Yeah.
- 26:41Speaker 7: I think with how excited.
- 26:41Speaker 5: They were might be oh, yeah, what were you going
- 26:44Speaker 5: to say?
- 26:45Speaker 4: Though, you know, just I agree with Evan's point about
- 26:47Speaker 4: like it's not college. You don't deck out your like
- 26:51Speaker 4: your your wreck room with all. Well, thank god, people do.
- 26:55Speaker 4: People have different, different, different.
- 26:57Speaker 6: Struct different We go to Buffalo once here Fred and
- 27:00Speaker 6: I now, and it's there's nothing else like that. It's
- 27:03Speaker 6: wings and it's the Bills.
- 27:04Speaker 4: But there's a guy like right when I come home
- 27:06Speaker 4: and in the height of the Patriots, he had like
- 27:10Speaker 4: a big sign on his roof and it would go,
- 27:14Speaker 4: it would prop up on game day go Pats had
- 27:16Speaker 4: like goalposts that would that would come on, like I'm
- 27:19Speaker 4: talking significant amount of work to do this, and I
- 27:22Speaker 4: was just like, who does that? Well people, but I
- 27:24Speaker 4: guess people do different.
- 27:26Speaker 5: And then they got on the commercials for the NFL. Yeah,
- 27:30Speaker 5: Joel writes in he hasn't received a newsletter. We'll look
- 27:34Speaker 5: into that quick. My top five hated teams five or
- 27:38Speaker 5: the Jets for the Jets three two one are the Jets.
- 27:42Speaker 5: The Jets get all the hate from me. The j
- 27:44Speaker 5: E t s Jets, Jets, Jets suck, sucks, suck.
- 27:48Speaker 4: That's good.
- 27:49Speaker 7: There you go, I'm with them. I think the Jets
- 27:51Speaker 7: that that they're rainer shine. I don't like them. No
- 27:54Speaker 7: matter what the situation, they weren't hate.
- 27:57Speaker 5: So, you know, when the newspaper first started, you know,
- 28:00Speaker 5: I would always wrote write those little editorials in the beginning,
- 28:05Speaker 5: and uh, this is back in the mid nineties. Uh,
- 28:09Speaker 5: you know, the Jets were putrid. So I read that
- 28:13Speaker 5: the news clips that all teams send around to all
- 28:16Speaker 5: the staff, you know, about what the media is writing
- 28:18Speaker 5: about them, they stopped doing it because the Jets were
- 28:21Speaker 5: so bad and the criticism was so bad that they
- 28:23Speaker 5: stopped distributing that the news clips to the team. So
- 28:26Speaker 5: I wrote in our paper, the Jets are so bad
- 28:29Speaker 5: they're now censoring the news in their facility. So that's
- 28:33Speaker 5: Sunday that we were playing the Jets and their PR
- 28:36Speaker 5: guy comes up to me while I'm sitting there and
- 28:39Speaker 5: he's like, you know what you wrote isn't true. We're
- 28:42Speaker 5: not censoring the clips. I'm like, well, you're not giving
- 28:45Speaker 5: to them, right. He's like, yeah, but that's not censoring.
- 28:48Speaker 5: And the guy sitting next to me goes sounds like
- 28:50Speaker 5: censorship to me, and he just walked away. For Fred,
- 28:58Speaker 5: they hated me. Oh yeah, So the other thing I
- 29:00Speaker 5: wrote in the paper. We were talking. I was talking
- 29:02Speaker 5: about the draft. How it's unfair that every at that time,
- 29:06Speaker 5: every year the draft was in New York. I said,
- 29:08Speaker 5: that wasn't fair because people in the crowd it's all
- 29:11Speaker 5: New York fans and you know, so I said, they
- 29:13Speaker 5: should come up with a new thing that the team
- 29:16Speaker 5: that has the first pick, that's where the that's the
- 29:19Speaker 5: city where the draft should be. I said, But on
- 29:21Speaker 5: second thought, that'd be the Jets every year.
- 29:23Speaker 6: Anyway.
- 29:24Speaker 5: So again, like gold, we get a letter, you know,
- 29:28Speaker 5: comic styling. You're a member of another team. You shouldn't
- 29:31Speaker 5: be saying this about another team. And like, you know,
- 29:34Speaker 5: for a while, like I was like enemy number one,
- 29:36Speaker 5: you know, as a Metalware.
- 29:41Speaker 4: Do not let this man.
- 29:43Speaker 5: So the vice president of pr for the league sent
- 29:48Speaker 5: the Crafts a letter about me, saying that I'm a
- 29:50Speaker 5: pain in the ass. And Jonathan showed me the letter.
- 29:55Speaker 5: He's like, I just got this from uh was it
- 29:57Speaker 5: Dan Brown? Joe Brown? I just got this from Joe Brown?
- 30:01Speaker 5: He goes, good job.
- 30:05Speaker 4: You had you want a thing with Joe Brown At
- 30:12Speaker 4: one of the Super Bowls.
- 30:12Speaker 5: I remember I don't what was that.
- 30:16Speaker 4: We're getting into it another time.
- 30:18Speaker 7: He's gone week's show.
- 30:20Speaker 4: I thought it was Joe Brown and uh Leslie the
- 30:23Speaker 4: Hammer Hammond.
- 30:25Speaker 5: Oh, he wasn't there.
- 30:26Speaker 4: We were trying to get out.
- 30:27Speaker 5: He wasn't involved.
- 30:29Speaker 4: But and then Fred nfl pr up one side down
- 30:33Speaker 4: the other like and we were wrong, Well.
- 30:36Speaker 5: But what are you talking about? We weren't wrong.
- 30:38Speaker 4: Because we were supposed to have gotten the credentials through
- 30:42Speaker 4: our Paul.
- 30:43Speaker 5: Then that was the that was the year that there
- 30:46Speaker 5: was no There was no two weeks.
- 30:47Speaker 4: Remember, I don't think that was I think this was
- 30:50Speaker 4: in Houston and three.
- 30:53Speaker 5: Maybe you're right, but all I all I know is
- 30:55Speaker 5: the literally the night before I was on the phone
- 30:58Speaker 5: from the guy who was in charge of credentials saying,
- 31:01Speaker 5: you'll be all set, just show up to the place tomorrow.
- 31:05Speaker 5: Pete Abbattani was his night.
- 31:06Speaker 4: I thought, I don't know why I remember Joe Brown, So.
- 31:08Speaker 5: The night before I was on the phone with him,
- 31:11Speaker 5: because yes, there was like who are we are we
- 31:14Speaker 5: need here or the team blah blah blah. So there
- 31:16Speaker 5: was confusion as to who we were to go through
- 31:19Speaker 5: to get the credentials. So that's why that night before
- 31:22Speaker 5: I was on the phone with them to make sure
- 31:25Speaker 5: that we were good, and I was told by the
- 31:27Speaker 5: headed guy that we were good. We show up the
- 31:30Speaker 5: next day no credentials, and their excuse was, well, we're
- 31:33Speaker 5: all tired, that's what she said. Remember that.
- 31:37Speaker 4: And I said me, Brian, Me, Brian, and Andy went,
- 31:40Speaker 4: you gotta go.
- 31:42Speaker 5: But did we get our credentials? Yeah?
- 31:44Speaker 4: Yeah, okay, come with the super Bowl?
- 31:46Speaker 5: All right?
- 31:47Speaker 4: But I mean, like the super Bowl happens after the championships.
- 31:52Speaker 4: You went to it?
- 31:53Speaker 6: Yes, My favorite thing is when they which one was that? Again?
- 31:57Speaker 6: Like okay, all right.
- 31:58Speaker 7: Let me check my rings.
- 31:59Speaker 4: That's how I can start looping you into my text
- 32:02Speaker 4: change now I think.
- 32:04Speaker 7: No, it was right right in Jacksonville. Oh, let me
- 32:10Speaker 7: tell you how bad the hotel Wasn't the super Bowl?
- 32:15Speaker 5: Which one was that?
- 32:17Speaker 4: I found a picture of an old shot of you
- 32:21Speaker 4: know the crafts used to have us, you know, when
- 32:23Speaker 4: they would bring the trophies out and we take pictures. Yeah, yeah,
- 32:28Speaker 4: So I have a picture with me, Robert, Jonathan and
- 32:30Speaker 4: Danny with the the Lombardio. So I took a picture
- 32:33Speaker 4: of the picture and send it to Mic and go, Mike,
- 32:35Speaker 4: these are Lombardi Trophies. The NFL gives them out to
- 32:38Speaker 4: a team that wins the Super Bowl.
- 32:40Speaker 6: I haven't We used to get these all the time before.
- 32:43Speaker 6: You can't, right, That's what I've never even been in
- 32:46Speaker 6: the trophy room.
- 32:47Speaker 5: Really, Yeah, I.
- 32:49Speaker 4: Don't want to go.
- 32:50Speaker 7: I'm not going to go. Imployees want we want to
- 32:52Speaker 7: earn it it exactly. That's what we're doing now.
- 32:55Speaker 4: You can't earn it jacket.
- 32:57Speaker 5: And I don't hate Dan Marino, but if one needs
- 33:00Speaker 5: a reason to hate him, it's easy. He made a
- 33:01Speaker 5: career out of throwing on almost every down in rack
- 33:05Speaker 5: up huge passing statistics while winning absolutely nothing.
- 33:09Speaker 4: Yeah, he sucked.
- 33:09Speaker 5: If ever there were a player who was an empty uniform,
- 33:12Speaker 5: it was Dan Marino.
- 33:13Speaker 4: I disagree because I didn't like him because he was
- 33:17Speaker 4: so good, not because he was an.
- 33:20Speaker 5: I remember as a kid, I love Larry Zanka and
- 33:22Speaker 5: Mercury Moore lit the Patriots up so much.
- 33:26Speaker 7: Oh yeah, so it really hurt you when Mercury Morris
- 33:28Speaker 7: was going on all those rants about sixteen them being
- 33:31Speaker 7: sixteen and.
- 33:32Speaker 4: So can I just tell you? And it was funny
- 33:35Speaker 4: because I remember the seven Super Bowl Boys.
- 33:40Speaker 7: Which one was that oh right, right right.
- 33:41Speaker 4: I thought there was so little chance the Patriots would
- 33:44Speaker 4: lose that game, like we're going to like these they
- 33:47Speaker 4: had all these different things, and they had Mercury Morris
- 33:53Speaker 4: like had a press conference about like you know, I
- 33:56Speaker 4: forget the name. It was like undefeated, you know, like
- 33:59Speaker 4: the neighborhood. And he was so good at it though,
- 34:02Speaker 4: Like he was not corny like he No, he was good.
- 34:05Speaker 4: He was like a salesman like and he was really
- 34:08Speaker 4: really good to listen to. And he had all these
- 34:10Speaker 4: things like why the Patriots aren't going to win because
- 34:13Speaker 4: Miami can be the only team in undefeated Ville or
- 34:16Speaker 4: whatever it was, I forget what it was, you know,
- 34:19Speaker 4: population one. And it just went on and on like
- 34:22Speaker 4: it was a real thing. It was like a real
- 34:24Speaker 4: press conference. Yeah, sure enough.
- 34:27Speaker 6: We're not going to talk about any of the Giants won. Yep,
- 34:29Speaker 6: the on that Dolphin seventy two season, but.
- 34:34Speaker 5: I mean they were on the program just it was
- 34:37Speaker 5: just skinless chicken ba.
- 34:39Speaker 4: It wasn't they had an easy schedule, I'll say, but
- 34:41Speaker 4: to say it was fishy. They won the vast majority
- 34:45Speaker 4: of their games with their backup quarterback because Greasy broke
- 34:47Speaker 4: his leg that year, despite going undefeated, they had to
- 34:51Speaker 4: play the conference championship on the road because back then
- 34:55Speaker 4: they used to rotate the conference championship by division, not
- 34:58Speaker 4: by record, So it's kind of hard to make the
- 35:01Speaker 4: case that it's no, it's tainted. Yeah, they did have
- 35:05Speaker 4: an easy schedule.
- 35:06Speaker 5: Edwin writes in Hated Jets, too many to list Eagles,
- 35:09Speaker 5: super Bowl win, general fandom sucks, Giants to and lucky
- 35:13Speaker 5: wins and Super Bowls, Raiders, Darryl Stingley good one, Bears,
- 35:18Speaker 5: refrigerated Perry TD and the Super Bowl. So that's his
- 35:21Speaker 5: reasoning for his But like.
- 35:24Speaker 4: The Raiders thing is definitely that's part of it for me.
- 35:26Speaker 6: But like the Bears, for example, there was no chance
- 35:31Speaker 6: that Patriots are winning that game.
- 35:33Speaker 4: I was hot, I was in.
- 35:35Speaker 5: Yeah, I was all in. But you got to remember, see,
- 35:38Speaker 5: you're too young.
- 35:39Speaker 6: So that's why I'm asking.
- 35:41Speaker 5: So here's what happened. The Patriots were underdogs in every
- 35:45Speaker 5: game leading up to that in the playoffs, and the
- 35:48Speaker 5: first real NFL insider in the league was Will McDonough
- 35:52Speaker 5: and back then he was on NBC and he would
- 35:55Speaker 5: give his picks before every game. And even though he's
- 35:59Speaker 5: from here, he would pick against the Patriots and all
- 36:01Speaker 5: these playoff games because they were legitimate underdogs, and he
- 36:05Speaker 5: was being getting you know, he was wrong every week,
- 36:08Speaker 5: and he was so mad by the time the Super
- 36:10Speaker 5: Bowl game that, of course, you know he picked the Bears.
- 36:13Speaker 5: But I remember that that, you know, yeah, we beat
- 36:16Speaker 5: this team, we beat Miami, we can beat the Bears.
- 36:19Speaker 5: Like you felt like because of all those upsets that
- 36:22Speaker 5: you already had, that we're destined, we're gonna win this.
- 36:25Speaker 6: But in hindsight you have to realize how crazy it
- 36:28Speaker 6: was to have that thought.
- 36:29Speaker 5: Oh now it is now in hindsight, but when you're
- 36:31Speaker 5: in the middle of it, like, we're not gonna we're
- 36:34Speaker 5: not going off these teams that are better than Yeah.
- 36:36Speaker 4: When they beat Miami in the AFC Championship, I was like,
- 36:38Speaker 4: this is unbelievable. Like they're going to the super Bowl.
- 36:41Speaker 4: I know they don't have any chance to beat Chicago.
- 36:42Speaker 4: This is how I was thinking. I know they don't
- 36:45Speaker 4: have any chance to beat Chicago, but this is unbelievable.
- 36:47Speaker 4: By the time that two week period went by, I
- 36:50Speaker 4: was completely convinced the Patriots are gonna win, right, And
- 36:53Speaker 4: then like the first drive of the game, they fumble,
- 36:55Speaker 4: the Patriots get the ball. I'm like, told its destiny.
- 36:59Speaker 7: Yeah yeah, the Patriots and we you heard that song
- 37:03Speaker 7: and you're like, I don't know.
- 37:04Speaker 4: I started to believe.
- 37:05Speaker 5: I'm starting to believe I'm lucky. I didn't hear that
- 37:07Speaker 5: because I've had I then I would say, we have
- 37:09Speaker 5: no shot?
- 37:09Speaker 4: Can't we have no shot?
- 37:12Speaker 5: Up being Freso. Favorite football person to hate was Rex Ryan.
- 37:15Speaker 5: So fun to hate that guy, and I kind of
- 37:16Speaker 5: loved him.
- 37:17Speaker 4: My least favorite it's exactly how I feel about Rex Ryan,
- 37:20Speaker 4: the great guy to hate. Kind of loved him.
- 37:22Speaker 5: My least favorite person to hate was Peyton Manning because
- 37:24Speaker 5: he was so great and it was a shame he
- 37:26Speaker 5: had to be our enemy. Also, presently, my most hated
- 37:29Speaker 5: team is the forty nine ers because of my hobby
- 37:31Speaker 5: horse antipathy for the net neutral nonsense. I don't know
- 37:35Speaker 5: what that means.
- 37:36Speaker 6: That is a deep speak that we're still talking.
- 37:39Speaker 4: About that neutral quarterback.
- 37:45Speaker 6: Yeah, okay, I don't really understand the liking Rex Ryan
- 37:53Speaker 6: at all.
- 37:54Speaker 4: I think he's funny.
- 37:55Speaker 6: I think that guy's a fraud, I think.
- 37:57Speaker 4: But I think he's funny. You know who you know
- 37:59Speaker 4: who thought he was a good coach? Is Bill Bill
- 38:02Speaker 4: respected him as a coach because why because he was
- 38:04Speaker 4: a game plan guy?
- 38:05Speaker 6: Do you respect him as a coach or do he
- 38:07Speaker 6: respect his father?
- 38:08Speaker 4: I think he respected him as a coach, he didn't
- 38:11Speaker 4: respect him probably as a person. Yeah, for his bomb
- 38:14Speaker 4: bast right.
- 38:15Speaker 6: I just wonder if that's like he was a.
- 38:17Speaker 4: Game planing coach and Bill appreciated that.
- 38:19Speaker 6: I just wonder if that's like a football family Buddy
- 38:21Speaker 6: Ryan my situation where like.
- 38:24Speaker 7: He's part of the they were Oh he had and
- 38:29Speaker 7: he had Rob on his staff.
- 38:31Speaker 4: Yeah, that's like I think he legitimately thought Buddy Ryan
- 38:35Speaker 4: was a good coach. I don't think he liked him,
- 38:38Speaker 4: like personally.
- 38:39Speaker 5: You know who. I don't think Bill thinks is a
- 38:41Speaker 5: good coach, believe well, not as good as people think
- 38:44Speaker 5: he is. And I could be wrong about this, but
- 38:46Speaker 5: it's my sense is Vince Lombardi. I always got the sense.
- 38:49Speaker 4: I don't think he thinks much of Lombardi. I don't
- 38:51Speaker 4: think he thought much of Joe Gibbs.
- 38:52Speaker 5: Yeah. I don't know about Joe Gibbs, but I always
- 38:54Speaker 5: got the sense like Lombardy not worth.
- 38:58Speaker 7: It at him.
- 39:00Speaker 5: He wouldn't he wouldn't include him, you know.
- 39:02Speaker 4: Oh, I think and this is not anything Bill's ever
- 39:05Speaker 4: said to me and Fred, but I think the way
- 39:07Speaker 4: he talked it was kind of like he had better
- 39:10Speaker 4: players than the other teams and they just did It
- 39:13Speaker 4: was just a simplistic approach. And I think, you know,
- 39:16Speaker 4: Bill was all about coming up with outside of the box.
- 39:20Speaker 7: Like.
- 39:23Speaker 4: I'm gonna run left, I'm gonna run right, which you
- 39:25Speaker 4: can do if you're better than the other team. And
- 39:26Speaker 4: I think that's how he felt.
- 39:28Speaker 5: Now.
- 39:28Speaker 4: I think he undersold Lombardy. I think it's not easy
- 39:31Speaker 4: to be that disciplined. And obviously he had a style
- 39:34Speaker 4: that what did they win like five titles in the sixties.
- 39:37Speaker 5: They were titled town.
- 39:38Speaker 6: Yeah they still claim to be It's fine.
- 39:40Speaker 5: Yeah, Indiana, Matt. I live in Indiana, So the Colts
- 39:44Speaker 5: are my number one eight a team. Their fans were
- 39:46Speaker 5: unbearable during the early two thousand rival, especially the Bandwagon
- 39:50Speaker 5: jumpers who thought they knew everything but didn't. They cannot
- 39:53Speaker 5: lose enough. Can someone please explain why Gonzales interception was
- 39:57Speaker 5: not ruled incomplete. To me, I did not think he
- 40:00Speaker 5: survived the ground. If that was a receiver, I can
- 40:02Speaker 5: imagine it would have been considered a complete pass. Here's
- 40:05Speaker 5: why it was complete. If he had gone to the
- 40:08Speaker 5: ground and no one had touched him, it would have
- 40:10Speaker 5: been incomplete. But the moment somebody touched him, he did
- 40:13Speaker 5: have possession. The plays over. That's it. Nothing can happen
- 40:17Speaker 5: after he's down, and so he was touched with the
- 40:20Speaker 5: ball in possession, then it came out. If he hadn't
- 40:23Speaker 5: been touched, I think they would have did in complete,
- 40:25Speaker 5: But because he was touched, that ended everything ended.
- 40:28Speaker 4: I disagree with you, but that's the rule. I think
- 40:30Speaker 4: if he had been if he hadn't been touched and
- 40:32Speaker 4: the same thing happened, it would have been a fumble.
- 40:35Speaker 4: I think it's a catch either way. Like he had
- 40:38Speaker 4: the ball, took steps, had it secured YEA went to
- 40:41Speaker 4: the ground by contact in this case plays over. I
- 40:46Speaker 4: think that that was properly ruled. But I think if
- 40:48Speaker 4: he hadn't been touched and the same thing happens, you
- 40:51Speaker 4: could say that it should have been a fumble.
- 40:52Speaker 5: Ye the movie, But the act of touching him while
- 40:56Speaker 5: he had the ball ended the play. It didn't matter
- 40:57Speaker 5: what happened after that.
- 40:59Speaker 6: Surviving the ground thing is not a thing anymore.
- 41:02Speaker 4: Yeah, it shouldn't be, but it is. And his point
- 41:06Speaker 4: about receivers, I think it might have been looked at differently.
- 41:09Speaker 6: But that rule that verbiage is no longer in the rule.
- 41:12Speaker 4: They still they still do it, though, and especially out
- 41:16Speaker 4: of bounds. Drives me crazy. When the guys make the
- 41:19Speaker 4: toe tap catches, they clearly have it and then they
- 41:21Speaker 4: tumble into the bench and the ball might move like
- 41:25Speaker 4: it should be a catch. But sometimes they called him
- 41:27Speaker 4: in complete.
- 41:28Speaker 5: Yeah, I agree, Like if the act of toe tapping
- 41:34Speaker 5: is a football should if you have possession at that moment,
- 41:38Speaker 5: it should be a catch.
- 41:38Speaker 4: Yeah, And if you if you have it secure, like
- 41:40Speaker 4: if you're like if it's when you're going to the
- 41:42Speaker 4: ground and then you know whatever, that's different. But if
- 41:45Speaker 4: you secured the ball and you have it and two
- 41:48Speaker 4: feet are down, that should be a football moves over.
- 41:51Speaker 5: Yeah, I don't know. Alex in North Carolina hate List
- 41:55Speaker 5: one Jets, two Cowboys, three Colds, bunch of cry babies.
- 42:00Speaker 7: So you know it's with with Peyton was like he's
- 42:03Speaker 7: really funny and he's a really good actor and that
- 42:05Speaker 7: made him like really likable to me, Like I you know,
- 42:07Speaker 7: I made me hate him really cut the meat commercials issues.
- 42:13Speaker 7: I would always laugh because I was like, I just
- 42:15Speaker 7: thought Brady was a terrible actor, and it was.
- 42:17Speaker 5: Like that's why it was so good.
- 42:20Speaker 4: I was like, I get it.
- 42:21Speaker 6: Everybody thinks Peyton's awesome. Okay, whatever, We're just gonna kick
- 42:24Speaker 6: his ass in January commercial have fun on Slow that.
- 42:30Speaker 7: That Paid Manning sketch where he's playing youth football with
- 42:33Speaker 7: the kids and just one of my fa and yelling
- 42:35Speaker 7: it's it's one of the best of all time.
- 42:36Speaker 4: A couple of off the back of the kids heads.
- 42:39Speaker 6: He goes face first.
- 42:40Speaker 7: I mean, he's funny, he's really.
- 42:42Speaker 6: Brady Knight was therapeutic for me in that sense, like
- 42:44Speaker 6: seeing them both up there and like having the magic
- 42:47Speaker 6: Larry birthday and seeing that they like each other and
- 42:51Speaker 6: like and being friends, exchange the war stories. It cleansed
- 42:55Speaker 6: the palate for me. I was like, all right, Peyton,
- 42:57Speaker 6: I can I can be your friend now.
- 42:59Speaker 4: It's funny like the That was my biggest takeaway from
- 43:02Speaker 4: that night was that story that they told about working
- 43:05Speaker 4: out together, and it was like this whole secret thing.
- 43:10Speaker 4: Tom comes in. I'm like, like, what a helicopter or whatever.
- 43:13Speaker 4: It's like, what are you doing?
- 43:15Speaker 5: All right?
- 43:16Speaker 4: Uh?
- 43:17Speaker 5: One hundred? What's our number again? If I five pats,
- 43:21Speaker 5: five hundred is the TPX hotline here? And by week
- 43:25Speaker 5: we got callers coming in. Got a hurry because Paul
- 43:29Speaker 5: has some historic news that he's going to it's a
- 43:31Speaker 5: historic week. And my part on us later in the show.
- 43:34Speaker 4: Don't check the results because I didn't go back and look.
- 43:36Speaker 4: But in my view, this was a historic week.
- 43:38Speaker 5: Okay, he's still limited research, by the way, he said,
- 43:42Speaker 5: not at all. Did anyone watch the Drawd mail sit
- 43:44Speaker 5: down with Tom Current extended interview.
- 43:46Speaker 7: With tonight tonight?
- 43:47Speaker 5: I just it's on YouTube.
- 43:49Speaker 7: Sorry. I just saw them teasing it as tonight.
- 43:51Speaker 5: Well, they might be airing it tonight, but it's already
- 43:53Speaker 5: on YouTube.
- 43:53Speaker 7: It I just saw some I saw one clip.
- 43:56Speaker 6: I saw some clips from it, but not the whole thing.
- 43:58Speaker 7: They're sitting face.
- 44:01Speaker 5: I thought it was fine, No, no, nothing, No news
- 44:04Speaker 5: came out.
- 44:04Speaker 6: The clip that's getting the traction is uh Drawd saying
- 44:08Speaker 6: that he meets with the Crafts to debrief after every single.
- 44:13Speaker 5: Game, as as any coach should. I don't disagree, but
- 44:18Speaker 5: if you're the owner, don't you want to like hear
- 44:20Speaker 5: from your coach.
- 44:20Speaker 6: That is being seen as everything that they do, as
- 44:23Speaker 6: you know, they're too involved in football.
- 44:27Speaker 5: Yeah, okay, all right, all right, let's go to the
- 44:31Speaker 5: TPX outline. Cole's in Minnesota.
- 44:33Speaker 4: What's up, Cole?
- 44:36Speaker 8: Cole?
- 44:38Speaker 5: Hey there he is, what's up? Hey?
- 44:41Speaker 4: Hey?
- 44:41Speaker 5: I was going guys, hey cool, you should change your
- 44:44Speaker 5: name to Cold.
- 44:44Speaker 9: Yeah, first time Coller.
- 44:47Speaker 10: I normally I watched both Young Filtered and The Catch
- 44:50Speaker 10: twenty two.
- 44:50Speaker 6: Shout out to Evan.
- 44:51Speaker 11: I really love to Catch twenty two.
- 44:53Speaker 6: That you die.
- 44:54Speaker 5: Thank you.
- 44:55Speaker 6: I appreciate that.
- 44:58Speaker 9: So I've been kind of watching and I love to
- 45:01Speaker 9: hear your guys' opinion. But I'm watching Drake May and
- 45:04Speaker 9: I don't know, man, I don't like.
- 45:05Speaker 11: To do the comparison, but I really think this dude
- 45:08Speaker 11: looks so much like Justin Herbert And what are we
- 45:12Speaker 11: a couple of years in a Justin Serbert's tenure and
- 45:14Speaker 11: this dude's look bigger, stronger, more accurate. I mean, that's
- 45:18Speaker 11: my hope for Drake Man as it stands right now.
- 45:22Speaker 10: I think my big thing with the draft.
- 45:25Speaker 11: I know that you guys have touched on a little bit,
- 45:29Speaker 11: but is there some validity to just kind.
- 45:32Speaker 10: Of going all in free agency for a lot of
- 45:35Speaker 10: these defensive that we have and kind of focusing on
- 45:38Speaker 10: getting depth in the draft as far as lineman. I
- 45:42Speaker 10: know you got to talk about others and have a
- 45:44Speaker 10: lot of them blue chip prospects, but is there some
- 45:49Speaker 10: some some uh strength and just kind of like getting
- 45:53Speaker 10: a bunch of guys in we can kind of build
- 45:55Speaker 10: the roster in more of a three year build instead
- 45:57Speaker 10: of a we need.
- 45:58Speaker 12: To win right now.
- 45:59Speaker 5: Yeah, all right, thanks, Thanks Cole. I was listening to
- 46:05Speaker 5: you this morning because you were on the Six Rings
- 46:07Speaker 5: podcast with Andy Hard and Fitzie and uh Andy had
- 46:12Speaker 5: a thing that I talked about yesterday, which was maybe
- 46:16Speaker 5: another strategy is to use this first pick in a trade,
- 46:19Speaker 5: not for more draft assets.
- 46:21Speaker 4: But for you know, I don't hate it. I didn't
- 46:24Speaker 4: hate it when you said it. Yeah, and Andy brought
- 46:26Speaker 4: up a specific player. You know what if you could
- 46:29Speaker 4: like get Micah Parsons for your first round pick and
- 46:34Speaker 4: then give them, you know, and make of your money, we.
- 46:37Speaker 6: Can get prim Randy Moss next Orlando Pace. Okay, so.
- 46:42Speaker 4: If he's not going to take it, why Bread, why
- 46:44Speaker 4: the Cowboys.
- 46:45Speaker 6: Are going to trade.
- 46:45Speaker 5: Micah Parsons, Well, maybe they maybe they want to like
- 46:48Speaker 5: kind of infuse it with youth at that program.
- 46:51Speaker 6: I mean he's like, he's not like he's he's an
- 46:53Speaker 6: old man.
- 46:54Speaker 5: No, no, but I'm just talking about they up.
- 46:57Speaker 4: He's got to get a big contract. They just gave
- 46:59Speaker 4: out a couple of big contracts. It blew up on him.
- 47:01Speaker 4: Maybe I'm not you know, I don't know.
- 47:03Speaker 6: I love the idea. I don't mean to completely jump
- 47:06Speaker 6: down your throat.
- 47:07Speaker 4: It wasn't my idea, it was Andy.
- 47:08Speaker 5: I love the idea of the.
- 47:09Speaker 6: Trade, of having an NFL player involved in the trade.
- 47:13Speaker 6: The Bears did the same exact thing with Dj Moore.
- 47:16Speaker 6: I thought it was really smart. Instead of getting an
- 47:18Speaker 6: extra pick back, they took Dj Moore from Carolina and
- 47:21Speaker 6: now at the time, Justin Field's had Dj Moore to
- 47:25Speaker 6: throw the ball too. So I love that idea in theory.
- 47:28Speaker 6: I I just keep coming back to the same thing.
- 47:31Speaker 6: I don't know if this is the draft or somebody
- 47:33Speaker 6: is going to be really giving up a lot to
- 47:36Speaker 6: come up to get any of the players at the
- 47:37Speaker 6: top of the draft. Well that's the thing, yeah, and
- 47:40Speaker 6: so that's going to be the tough part for the Patriots,
- 47:42Speaker 6: and I was I was joking with Bart. I was like,
- 47:44Speaker 6: if I was Elliott Wolf, I'd be like leaking like that.
- 47:48Speaker 6: Shador Sanders is like grated higher than Drake May like,
- 47:51Speaker 6: you know, just like throw it out like started like
- 47:53Speaker 6: throwing out Tea leaves that you know cam Ward is, Oh,
- 47:56Speaker 6: you know, he's just as good as Jayden Daniels was
- 47:59Speaker 6: last year, you know, like that type of stuff, because
- 48:02Speaker 6: you got to get those quarterbacks some love. That's the
- 48:05Speaker 6: only way that these types of things happen, right, right, But.
- 48:09Speaker 4: I think it's it makes some sense. I don't know
- 48:11Speaker 4: if you can pull it off. I don't know if
- 48:13Speaker 4: any of these things are realistic. I threw out like
- 48:16Speaker 4: DK Metcalf yep, yeah, Like can you get him for
- 48:19Speaker 4: a draft.
- 48:19Speaker 6: Back that's more realistic?
- 48:21Speaker 4: You know, and you know, like let's just say, for
- 48:23Speaker 4: argument's sake, you could make those you know, a trade
- 48:26Speaker 4: or two like that that takes so much pressure off
- 48:29Speaker 4: the draft yep, you know. And then free agency we've
- 48:34Speaker 4: talked about a lot, Well, who's the wide receivers available.
- 48:38Speaker 4: It's kind of like t Higgins, maybe MARII Cooper, you know,
- 48:43Speaker 4: an injured. Chris Godwin is not injured. So my fear
- 48:47Speaker 4: about Higgins. I think I like Higgins. I think that
- 48:51Speaker 4: he's a really good player. But my fear is every
- 48:53Speaker 4: team that needs a wide receiver is going to be
- 48:55Speaker 4: after T Higgins, right, like the Chargers, like they don't
- 48:58Speaker 4: have wide receivers. Like might they look at that and say, wow,
- 49:02Speaker 4: you know, we won eleven games and went to the
- 49:04Speaker 4: playoffs with Quinton Johnston is kind of a disappointing former
- 49:07Speaker 4: first round pick in lad mcconkeye. We need we need
- 49:11Speaker 4: some help, right, I think it's so now you've got
- 49:14Speaker 4: to win a bidding war. Whereas if I can go
- 49:16Speaker 4: to DK Metcalf, maybe I can give a second round pick.
- 49:19Speaker 5: Yeah, the pickers gave up. It was a low first
- 49:21Speaker 5: but for Brandon Cooks and their kind of draft was
- 49:23Speaker 5: an unorthodox one because yeah, they.
- 49:27Speaker 6: Seventeen. I would say the other guy and uh, probably
- 49:30Speaker 6: not as popular of a name as DK Metcalf, but
- 49:34Speaker 6: Christian Watson in Green Bay, just the green Bay connection
- 49:38Speaker 6: with Elliott Wolf and he's coming up Yep, he's coming
- 49:42Speaker 6: up on his contract. He's in what I would call
- 49:45Speaker 6: pre agency. So the year before one year left yeah, exactly,
- 49:49Speaker 6: So they're going to have to give him a contract
- 49:51Speaker 6: at some point.
- 49:52Speaker 4: Ares I think should hold on to him only because
- 49:54Speaker 4: they've had such like they have a good wide receiver room,
- 49:57Speaker 4: but there's some volatility there. Yeah, Dobbs like recently was
- 50:01Speaker 4: benched because of contact.
- 50:02Speaker 6: I love Christian Watson's game and I think that he's
- 50:06Speaker 6: one of my back of the envelope guys great great
- 50:08Speaker 6: parents Watson. Oh yeah, yeah, that's a guy that can
- 50:12Speaker 6: bring some real drafts down in the field to speed
- 50:14Speaker 6: tremendous athletes.
- 50:15Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 50:15Speaker 7: I think the thing is hard too.
- 50:16Speaker 4: It's not just the draft.
- 50:17Speaker 7: It feels like free agency. There's I mean you mentioned
- 50:19Speaker 7: the wide receiver position. Not a lot of choices, not
- 50:21Speaker 7: a lot of choices at tackle, not a lot of
- 50:22Speaker 7: choices at edge rusher, like the three big positions they need.
- 50:25Speaker 7: It's not like, oh, you could have your pick of
- 50:27Speaker 7: three or four guys like so.
- 50:28Speaker 4: You're not doing the Garrett Bulls and just penciling him
- 50:30Speaker 4: in at left tackle.
- 50:31Speaker 6: Yet I'm tempted by Garrett Bowles a little bit. But
- 50:34Speaker 6: if I'm Denver, like that's you have.
- 50:36Speaker 4: Everybody said the same thing, Why is Denver gonna let him.
- 50:38Speaker 6: The second year quarterback, Like, you're feeling pretty good about
- 50:41Speaker 6: yourselves right now. I don't know why he's walking, but
- 50:44Speaker 6: if he does hit unrestricted free agency, that's.
- 50:46Speaker 4: The kind of guy.
- 50:47Speaker 7: A bridge tackle the Jaggs resigned walker little loves the
- 50:51Speaker 7: name that a lot of people talk about him potentially hitting.
- 50:53Speaker 6: Would like Garrett Bowles for a year or two and
- 50:55Speaker 6: then maybe you draft you know a guy and on
- 50:58Speaker 6: day two that you like at tackle instead of using
- 51:00Speaker 6: your your first round pick on a tackle.
- 51:03Speaker 5: Jacobs in Illinois? What's up, Jacob? Jacob? Oh, another driver?
- 51:13Speaker 5: What have we got?
- 51:15Speaker 4: I think he Hey, what's up?
- 51:23Speaker 13: I'm in the THEO is doing fine as he is. Yes,
- 51:28Speaker 13: he makes the mistake, but definitely don't need to keep
- 51:31Speaker 13: firing them. But I definitely think we could be doing
- 51:34Speaker 13: better with getting in the coaching staff. And my idea
- 51:41Speaker 13: is potentially having it somebody joining staff to make adjustments
- 51:48Speaker 13: to what our opposition is doing, because I'm not really
- 51:51Speaker 13: seeing a lot of adjustments, but our opponents for breaking engines.
- 51:56Speaker 13: So my thought maybe somebody like uh a resident Phil
- 52:00Speaker 13: Star Lazar.
- 52:03Speaker 4: Okay, as long as we're treating this seriously, Yeah, no offense.
- 52:09Speaker 5: Is that it.
- 52:11Speaker 13: Not qualified for being a coaching is that you don't
- 52:15Speaker 13: got man card because he ain't somebody guard.
- 52:18Speaker 5: That's true, Yeah, that is true. I don't know if
- 52:21Speaker 5: you can be an offensive coordinator without mowing your lawns,
- 52:24Speaker 5: so yeah, that might disqualify.
- 52:26Speaker 6: I had no idea what he said. I checked out after.
- 52:30Speaker 5: Yeah. Eric's in New Jersey? What's up Eric? Eric? Wow?
- 52:38Speaker 5: What what's going on today? People just to sleep at
- 52:40Speaker 5: the wheel or is it the snow?
- 52:42Speaker 7: I don't know, Fred, I love your second one. When
- 52:44Speaker 7: you don't get it's like it's like your dad being like,
- 52:46Speaker 7: you know, like muld alone.
- 52:47Speaker 5: Like Mike, you got to Molan, Mike, Mike.
- 52:50Speaker 4: Now, Mike, Mike, Mike, Mike.
- 52:52Speaker 5: Mike's And speaking of Mike, he's in Puerto Rico. What's
- 52:54Speaker 5: up Mike doing?
- 52:57Speaker 14: Well?
- 52:57Speaker 9: How's everybody doing?
- 52:59Speaker 5: Mike? I didn't ask, but good.
- 53:02Speaker 9: On your speed Queen talk, Fred. Yeah, I don't know
- 53:05Speaker 9: if I've mentioned this before or if you heard it.
- 53:07Speaker 9: Those are the appliances of records for Army Barrack.
- 53:11Speaker 5: Oh wow, good to know another one. Course of course
- 53:15Speaker 5: they are because they're tible tough like that.
- 53:18Speaker 9: Yeah, just just to give your head stuff on that
- 53:21Speaker 9: and speaking of barracks, Paul based on Citadel.
- 53:26Speaker 4: Yes, TJ was accepted to the city, going nine waiting
- 53:35Speaker 4: waiting to see some of the other wait waiting to
- 53:38Speaker 4: see some of the other schools. You know, like if
- 53:40Speaker 4: you know Fellow, you want him to replace Will Campbell.
- 53:43Speaker 4: Well we'll think about that. Yeah, no, but yes, most likely, Mike.
- 53:48Speaker 4: Thanks for asking. I appreciate it. Thank you.
- 53:50Speaker 7: You put in a call which the best.
- 53:52Speaker 9: I mean, you should be really proud.
- 53:54Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, I resolutely, I really appreciate it. I'm scared
- 53:59Speaker 4: to death, but I am extremely proud. Thank you.
- 54:03Speaker 5: He'll be at jar Head. Paul was a barhead.
- 54:06Speaker 4: Well, we all have our strength question.
- 54:11Speaker 15: Yes, yes, okay, So which would you have rather happened
- 54:21Speaker 15: that we would have gotten Adam Peters at the GM,
- 54:24Speaker 15: Rabel the coach, Kingsbury Fort OC and Mayo for DC.
- 54:31Speaker 9: But with the current draft that we have, or to
- 54:36Speaker 9: have the current leadership that we have, but then have
- 54:39Speaker 9: May McConkey, Dominic Pooney, Bucky Irvin and Tyron Smith. That's
- 54:45Speaker 9: the first part of the.
- 54:46Speaker 6: Question, McCarthy, He said, McCarthy right, No, he said, may
- 54:52Speaker 6: is the quarterback? May and who was the second name,
- 54:55Speaker 6: he said, Okay, got it. Okay, I don't know.
- 55:02Speaker 4: I don't need Bucky Herving.
- 55:03Speaker 5: So the first the first option is some real names,
- 55:07Speaker 5: and you get Adam Peters in here, you got Kingsbury
- 55:09Speaker 5: in here.
- 55:10Speaker 6: Who was the head coach in the first option?
- 55:13Speaker 5: Was the head coach?
- 55:14Speaker 6: I have to admit watching Monday Night Football last week
- 55:18Speaker 6: and I saw him on the sideline a couple of times,
- 55:20Speaker 6: and I was.
- 55:20Speaker 7: Like, so he's trying to learn offense? Is that true
- 55:25Speaker 7: what he was talking about that this year he's kind
- 55:27Speaker 7: of focusing on the offensive side of the ball.
- 55:29Speaker 4: That's interesting coach.
- 55:32Speaker 7: I mean, I love Rabel. I would love to have
- 55:35Speaker 7: him here, but I don't know, there's a lot there's
- 55:38Speaker 7: a lot of movie parts there.
- 55:39Speaker 4: It target that it's an interesting your preference.
- 55:45Speaker 9: I man, it's because I think I was actually rooting
- 55:50Speaker 9: for that leadership combo Adam Peters and Rabel, with Kingsbury
- 55:57Speaker 9: as a, you know, a close second for the offensive coach.
- 56:02Speaker 9: But obviously that would have been predicated that we had Mayo,
- 56:06Speaker 9: I'm sorry, not Mayo may at the quarterback, either may
- 56:10Speaker 9: or Daniels, which eventually ended up happening. But I also
- 56:14Speaker 9: see Like all of the other players that I mentioned,
- 56:18Speaker 9: all of them were options that we had and passed
- 56:22Speaker 9: on in one way of shape or form, except for
- 56:24Speaker 9: May obviously we we drafted it May, but McConkey rather
- 56:27Speaker 9: than Jalen Pole. And then Dominic Pooney, the guard that's
- 56:33Speaker 9: playing really really well in St. Francisco, rather than either
- 56:37Speaker 9: Leydon Robertson or actually no, it would have to have
- 56:39Speaker 9: been King to Wallace.
- 56:41Speaker 8: So he got picked after Kid Wallett.
- 56:45Speaker 7: Yeah, yeah, I mean I like but guard there at right.
- 56:49Speaker 6: Yeah, I definitely saw him as more of like a
- 56:51Speaker 6: center guard. So it wasn't really thanks for the call, Mike.
- 56:54Speaker 6: He wasn't someone that was like high on my list
- 56:57Speaker 6: just because of that. But he he's a good player,
- 56:59Speaker 6: can play all five spots. Technically, he's a good player.
- 57:03Speaker 11: Uh.
- 57:04Speaker 5: Dan's in New Jersey, Hey, dany.
- 57:08Speaker 8: Hey guys, did anyone mention when you're talking about most
- 57:13Speaker 8: the Broncos.
- 57:15Speaker 6: Oh, that's.
- 57:18Speaker 8: The stadium that really ground the Gears.
- 57:23Speaker 4: Yeah, that's one that's one of Fred's teams.
- 57:24Speaker 5: Though, No, I could see a Patriots fan hated the
- 57:28Speaker 5: Broncos because that was a house of horrors, just like Miami.
- 57:31Speaker 4: Another one I hated the Broncos in the eighties, just
- 57:33Speaker 4: like you said, because of Alway. Yeah, not because oh
- 57:36Speaker 4: he wasn't good or an empty suit. He was great
- 57:39Speaker 4: and he beat the Patriots every time.
- 57:40Speaker 5: Yeah. See, in the seventies and eighties the Broncos were
- 57:43Speaker 5: my team.
- 57:45Speaker 4: But concidentally they were very good.
- 57:48Speaker 8: That not so much the playoff games. But I remember
- 57:51Speaker 8: in eighty eight they were like eight and seven. It
- 57:54Speaker 8: was like the last game or second last game of
- 57:56Speaker 8: the season. They went in there with Easton he got
- 57:59Speaker 8: heard and then Grogan, and Grogan was just the shellmansel.
- 58:04Speaker 8: It was just hard to watch because of Easton, and
- 58:07Speaker 8: they didn't play flooty even though Footy had once the
- 58:09Speaker 8: games there.
- 58:12Speaker 4: Yeah, so that whole time there was a mile high
- 58:16Speaker 4: stadium was sort of the Orange Bowl light. They just
- 58:20Speaker 4: kept finding ways to lose down there. They had a
- 58:23Speaker 4: playoff game that Easton played in, I want to say
- 58:27Speaker 4: in eighty six, and the down three they get the
- 58:30Speaker 4: ball back into the game and he takes a safety
- 58:33Speaker 4: like he just like dives in the end zone. It
- 58:35Speaker 4: doesn't even try to like avoid a sack, end up
- 58:38Speaker 4: losing that game. Twenty two seventeen, I remember that prior
- 58:42Speaker 4: to that, they had. I want to say they they had.
- 58:47Speaker 4: They had the Broncos beat late in the fourth quarter
- 58:49Speaker 4: of a game and Broncos find a way to tie it.
- 58:53Speaker 4: Patriots get the ball, they move right down the field.
- 58:55Speaker 4: They're in pretty close to field goal ranging mostly to
- 58:58Speaker 4: Tupu of all people, fumbles and I want to say
- 59:02Speaker 4: Dennis Smith picked it up and ran it back for
- 59:04Speaker 4: a touchdown. They lost that game twenty six nineteen. While
- 59:08Speaker 4: you were wondering, just kept happening over and over and
- 59:13Speaker 4: over again. Every time at Mile High something bad would happen. Shot.
- 59:19Speaker 4: I was at that game. I remember that one.
- 59:21Speaker 6: I would just they are probably up on my list
- 59:24Speaker 6: because of Brady's first playoff loss was obviously against them.
- 59:27Speaker 5: And it scarred.
- 59:29Speaker 6: It's still a touchback, like we can go there. I
- 59:32Speaker 6: just that one hurt. That one was the first time.
- 59:35Speaker 4: I only make a joke about it, but it's true,
- 59:38Speaker 4: like every game that they lost was because of the officials.
- 59:41Speaker 4: Like I usually just joke around about that, like kind
- 59:44Speaker 4: of be snarky, Paul, but like this is real. He
- 59:47Speaker 4: thinks the referees cost him every game they.
- 59:48Speaker 6: Lost, it was blatantly a touchback, like but he fumbled
- 59:54Speaker 6: out of the back of his ends blatant about it.
- 59:56Speaker 6: You couldn't tell blaytant touch Boyton, what we need a
- 1:00:00Speaker 6: fantastic football play that was ruined.
- 1:00:02Speaker 4: That listened the big sale.
- 1:00:04Speaker 5: No, you're right, it was a bad call.
- 1:00:06Speaker 4: It might have been.
- 1:00:07Speaker 5: It was a bad call, But I don't know if
- 1:00:08Speaker 5: that's why they lost.
- 1:00:10Speaker 6: Big point in the game.
- 1:00:11Speaker 4: How about throwing the pick? You think that might have
- 1:00:13Speaker 4: had a bigger impact on it. Sure, but you know what,
- 1:00:16Speaker 4: that was the game.
- 1:00:17Speaker 7: That was the game that I made Lane. We rushed
- 1:00:19Speaker 7: home from going to a tasting for our wedding and
- 1:00:23Speaker 7: like in carpentery, like we were at it, you know,
- 1:00:25Speaker 7: we were check checking wedding spot had to go to tasting.
- 1:00:27Speaker 7: They hadn't even done dessert yet at the tasting, and
- 1:00:29Speaker 7: I was like, we gotta go. We got major player.
- 1:00:32Speaker 5: She's like what.
- 1:00:33Speaker 7: So we had to bomb, you know, bomb back down
- 1:00:34Speaker 7: to LA to catch that that Andy had missed that game.
- 1:00:38Speaker 4: I remember he had a wedding.
- 1:00:39Speaker 5: I think that was a tough game to watch. You
- 1:00:41Speaker 5: never felt good about that game throughout my sister. Now, Paul,
- 1:00:47Speaker 5: you and No Socks sat down with Gronk the other day.
- 1:00:50Speaker 5: For I watched that. That was really good. But I
- 1:00:52Speaker 5: didn't know Gronk said that in that fifteen playoff game
- 1:00:57Speaker 5: he was really sick. It felt like he had food poisoning.
- 1:01:00Speaker 5: Was literally throwing up on the sideline. I didn't know that.
- 1:01:04Speaker 4: I didn't know that. Yeah, yeah, there was like he
- 1:01:06Speaker 4: just he was a mile a minute. Yeah you saw it.
- 1:01:09Speaker 5: Oh yeah he was.
- 1:01:10Speaker 6: He made that fourth down catch.
- 1:01:12Speaker 4: Oh yeah, that's when I turned into Chris Farley. That
- 1:01:15Speaker 4: was awesome.
- 1:01:16Speaker 5: I was like, I was super sick. Food poison is yeah,
- 1:01:19Speaker 5: but I like, who knows? It could have been, you know,
- 1:01:22Speaker 5: somebody doing it to him, like at the hotel.
- 1:01:25Speaker 4: Like think it was the official.
- 1:01:27Speaker 5: No, the Broncos paying somebody at the hotel the night before.
- 1:01:31Speaker 5: You don't think this stuff happens.
- 1:01:33Speaker 4: Like they pumped in the flu in the locker room
- 1:01:35Speaker 4: in Indiana?
- 1:01:37Speaker 5: Who was it?
- 1:01:37Speaker 4: Who was it they pumped the flu virus? Was it?
- 1:01:39Speaker 5: Rod Russ who used to be the coach of the Patriots.
- 1:01:42Speaker 5: He would he was so paranoid, Like if they were
- 1:01:45Speaker 5: at the hotel on an away trip in eating, if
- 1:01:48Speaker 5: there was like a potted plant in the middle of
- 1:01:50Speaker 5: the he would take it away because he think it
- 1:01:52Speaker 5: might be bugged.
- 1:01:56Speaker 6: Well, I would just say that, you know, when teams
- 1:01:59Speaker 6: come here for playoff games in the good old days,
- 1:02:02Speaker 6: and like you'd hear about the fire alarm but warm good, yeah,
- 1:02:06Speaker 6: good job. In Providence contribute.
- 1:02:09Speaker 5: Al Davis is famous because their practice I think this
- 1:02:12Speaker 5: is when they're in Oakland. Might have been LA but
- 1:02:15Speaker 5: their practice facility was had Hills and there were some
- 1:02:19Speaker 5: residential homes around it, and somebody said, you know, Al,
- 1:02:21Speaker 5: aren't you worried that people are up there looking? He goes, now,
- 1:02:24Speaker 5: we bought all the houses. So did you get food?
- 1:02:29Speaker 4: I did not?
- 1:02:30Speaker 5: What's this?
- 1:02:31Speaker 6: Matt?
- 1:02:34Speaker 5: Oh, you you are a saint. Look at you. Look
- 1:02:37Speaker 5: at you.
- 1:02:38Speaker 7: You are a st anticipate his needs.
- 1:02:41Speaker 5: It is, it really is.
- 1:02:43Speaker 4: That's above and beyond producer.
- 1:02:45Speaker 5: Because I was thinking and didn't get to order food.
- 1:02:48Speaker 7: Think about a sandwich and.
- 1:02:51Speaker 5: I'll give you a couple.
- 1:02:53Speaker 4: I'm gonna say, what do you want? You're gonna have
- 1:02:55Speaker 4: half a cheese pizza.
- 1:02:58Speaker 7: Friend's fingers afterwards.
- 1:03:00Speaker 5: All right, Well, since food's here, it's time to take
- 1:03:03Speaker 5: a break. Uh. We gotta hurry because we got a
- 1:03:06Speaker 5: big pics, big pick segment coming up. Alex has called
- 1:03:10Speaker 5: out because of snow weak sauce in my opinion, But
- 1:03:13Speaker 5: did she send her pix in? No, not even send
- 1:03:16Speaker 5: your pixe in. So the snow like disabled her computer somehow.
- 1:03:22Speaker 5: All right, well, all right, we'll be back after this.
- 1:03:25Speaker 5: Whether you're in the game or betting on the game,
- 1:03:27Speaker 5: you'll need a game plan. DraftKings Sportsbook, the official sports
- 1:03:31Speaker 5: betting partner of the New England Patriots, provides you with

- 1:05:05Speaker 17: Here, he's number eighty seven on your scorecard, but number
- 1:05:08Speaker 17: one in everybody's hearts.
- 1:05:09Speaker 18: Rob Gronkowski, what an introduction, guys. I appreciate that.
- 1:05:13Speaker 5: Love h thank you.
- 1:05:14Speaker 19: I play the number one organization of all times as well,
- 1:05:18Speaker 19: so it was a great matchup to have the number
- 1:05:20Speaker 19: one tight end pointing for the number one organization.
- 1:05:23Speaker 18: Baby, that's what's up.
- 1:05:24Speaker 5: I tell you what.
- 1:05:25Speaker 17: Nobody's seen much of you, Like are you in hiding
- 1:05:27Speaker 17: or anything like that. Nobody's seen you at all, Like
- 1:05:29Speaker 17: are you a monk?
- 1:05:30Speaker 4: Or are you like don't do any commercials or anything?
- 1:05:33Speaker 18: Are you having fun to Actually?
- 1:05:34Speaker 4: I am in hiding this week.
- 1:05:35Speaker 19: It's Thanksgiving week, it's a holiday, so I have off,
- 1:05:38Speaker 19: you know, for about six days. And you guys actually
- 1:05:41Speaker 19: got me out of hibernation to come here. But that's
- 1:05:43Speaker 19: okay because it was about three minutes you know, from
- 1:05:47Speaker 19: the house, you know, so when it's that close and
- 1:05:50Speaker 19: it's that easy, you know, I can always come out
- 1:05:52Speaker 19: of the ground and come and say what's up.
- 1:05:54Speaker 18: And you guys, you know, have been great.
- 1:05:56Speaker 19: And you know, my career started here without without being
- 1:05:59Speaker 19: drafted here, you know, to this organization.
- 1:06:02Speaker 18: Here in this building.
- 1:06:03Speaker 19: You know, I wouldn't be on these commercials that you
- 1:06:05Speaker 19: guys see me on all the time. So appreciate you
- 1:06:07Speaker 19: guys having me here today.
- 1:06:08Speaker 5: Do you like chopping it up with the Fox guys?
- 1:06:09Speaker 7: Are you having fun doing that?
- 1:06:11Speaker 19: I'm having a lot of fun doing that. I'm having
- 1:06:13Speaker 19: a lot of fun doing everything that I'm doing, especially
- 1:06:15Speaker 19: the commercials. I know, that's what you guys are talking about.
- 1:06:18Speaker 6: Well that in Fox.
- 1:06:19Speaker 7: I mean Sam Sheppard is your new best eat.
- 1:06:21Speaker 19: Yes, And that's just it's unbelievable over there. And these
- 1:06:24Speaker 19: guys are such pros. It's kind of like me entering
- 1:06:27Speaker 19: the room with like when I was a rookie, Like
- 1:06:29Speaker 19: how I entered the room, you know, with Vince woll four,
- 1:06:32Speaker 19: Tom Brady, all those guys you know, as a rookie.
- 1:06:35Speaker 19: It's like when I enter the room at the Fox Room,
- 1:06:38Speaker 19: you know, and I got Michael Strahan, I got Jimmy Johnson,
- 1:06:42Speaker 19: I got Terry Bradshaw, Kurt Menafee, Howie Long.
- 1:06:45Speaker 18: Like it's kind of like a similar situation.
- 1:06:48Speaker 19: I'm a rookie, but like these guys have been on
- 1:06:51Speaker 19: TV now for twenty five thirty years plus. Michael Strahan
- 1:06:54Speaker 19: is the youngest one out of the whole group, and
- 1:06:56Speaker 19: he's been I think around fifteen years on the show.
- 1:06:59Speaker 19: And then there I am as a first year, second year,
- 1:07:01Speaker 19: third year guy now and I was just looking up
- 1:07:04Speaker 19: to him every single.
- 1:07:05Speaker 18: Day, like they're so on point.
- 1:07:06Speaker 19: They're incredible with their knowledge, you know, they know when
- 1:07:09Speaker 19: to spit out facts and when the joke around.
- 1:07:11Speaker 18: So just learning from them and just going under their
- 1:07:14Speaker 18: wing man, it was.
- 1:07:16Speaker 19: Something special and it still is specially, and it's so
- 1:07:18Speaker 19: much fun just working with them every Sunday that I'm on.
- 1:07:20Speaker 4: Yeah, good place to start. You talked about being drafted here,
- 1:07:23Speaker 4: you talked about being a rookie in TV. What was
- 1:07:26Speaker 4: it like, go back to Arizona and you're coming out.
- 1:07:30Speaker 4: Did you know the Patriots were heavily interested in? What
- 1:07:34Speaker 4: was that process?
- 1:07:34Speaker 10: Like?
- 1:07:34Speaker 18: All right, man, let's go back to this process.
- 1:07:36Speaker 19: I like that, And yes, I knew the Patriots were
- 1:07:39Speaker 19: definitely heavily interested, that's for sure. But I had one
- 1:07:43Speaker 19: of the worst draft visits of all time. And Coach
- 1:07:46Speaker 19: Balichick talked about that before. I mean, Nancy, is she
- 1:07:49Speaker 19: still here as well? Yeah, she still talks about it
- 1:07:51Speaker 19: that I fell asleep right on her desk right before
- 1:07:54Speaker 19: I was gonna go meet all the coaches. But to
- 1:07:56Speaker 19: be fair, that was like my seventeenth trip in like
- 1:07:58Speaker 19: fifteen days, and I was super tired, and you know,
- 1:08:01Speaker 19: I had to get a nap in real quick. So
- 1:08:03Speaker 19: I was sharp and on point, which that's what happened.
- 1:08:05Speaker 19: But actually that's not what happened. Because I really wasn't
- 1:08:08Speaker 19: that sharp and on point, and then everything else was
- 1:08:10Speaker 19: just chaos that trip. So I actually walked out of
- 1:08:12Speaker 19: this building after that rookie you know that kind of
- 1:08:16Speaker 19: like a job interview. It was before you get drafted.
- 1:08:18Speaker 19: You go and see all the teams and talk to them.
- 1:08:20Speaker 19: I kind of walked out of the building like this
- 1:08:22Speaker 19: team is either going to love me and they're gonna
- 1:08:24Speaker 19: take me, or they just think I'm a complete fool
- 1:08:27Speaker 19: and they already crossed me off their board. But I
- 1:08:29Speaker 19: was in the back of my mind, I was like,
- 1:08:30Speaker 19: I have a feeling that they loved me. But so
- 1:08:34Speaker 19: back to you know, going Arizona and draft NA and
- 1:08:37Speaker 19: all that. So I wanted to go to the Arizona Cardinals.
- 1:08:42Speaker 19: Actually they were the number twenty six pick because the
- 1:08:45Speaker 19: reason was I loved my time at the University of Arizona.
- 1:08:48Speaker 19: You know, I was in Tucson, I was a Wildcat.
- 1:08:51Speaker 19: They were the Arizona Carnos, were hour half away in
- 1:08:55Speaker 19: the Scottsdale Phoenix area, and just to stay as a whole.
- 1:08:59Speaker 19: Loved being there, loved that area as well. So I
- 1:09:02Speaker 19: wanted to go there just because I knew how familiar
- 1:09:04Speaker 19: I was with and how much I loved I love
- 1:09:06Speaker 19: being there, And then in the back of my mind,
- 1:09:09Speaker 19: I thought it would be kind of cool if the
- 1:09:11Speaker 19: Bills drafted me because it was my hometown team. But
- 1:09:13Speaker 19: at the same time, I kind of didn't want to
- 1:09:15Speaker 19: go to the Buffalo too, just because.
- 1:09:17Speaker 7: They weren't pressure.
- 1:09:18Speaker 18: Yeah the pressure stunk, Yeah they stunk at the time.
- 1:09:22Speaker 18: Just all that, I felt like just best for my
- 1:09:23Speaker 18: career to just.
- 1:09:24Speaker 19: Not go back home, even though it would be a
- 1:09:26Speaker 19: dream to go play there, like when you're growing up,
- 1:09:29Speaker 19: that was the dream. And then the other team was
- 1:09:33Speaker 19: the Baltimore Ravens. You know, they show high interest in
- 1:09:38Speaker 19: me throughout the whole process.
- 1:09:40Speaker 18: I have plenty of interviews with them. You know, I
- 1:09:43Speaker 18: truly believed that they were going to take me, and
- 1:09:46Speaker 18: they were about to take me.
- 1:09:48Speaker 17: You do, you know, like you were having fun in
- 1:09:50Speaker 17: New York And we'll get to that in a second.
- 1:09:52Speaker 17: You know, it was a scrambled drill of epic proportions
- 1:09:54Speaker 17: here for the Patriots to get your card in. Like
- 1:09:57Speaker 17: Bill's looking around, going what's going? John Robinson is running
- 1:10:01Speaker 17: around the room. Nick's running around the room. The clock's
- 1:10:03Speaker 17: ticking down. They were sweating that out. Do you know
- 1:10:06Speaker 17: that it was sort of chaotic by their standards here?
- 1:10:10Speaker 17: Do you did you know that that was going on?
- 1:10:12Speaker 19: Actually, that's something new that I've just learned. Man, I
- 1:10:14Speaker 19: didn't know how chaotic it was trying.
- 1:10:16Speaker 12: To get that in, but I know that's that's that's
- 1:10:19Speaker 12: pretty pretty wild to hear that that side of it,
- 1:10:22Speaker 12: because actually thinking about it, because at the last second,
- 1:10:26Speaker 12: because the Baltimore Ravens were on the clock with the
- 1:10:29Speaker 12: forty second pick, and that's like, like I said, they
- 1:10:32Speaker 12: were showing high interest.
- 1:10:33Speaker 19: I thought for sure I was going to the Baltimore Ravens.
- 1:10:36Speaker 19: And the clock is, you know, counting down, and there's
- 1:10:38Speaker 19: like thirty seconds left, and usually if a trade happens.
- 1:10:41Speaker 18: It's usually end by now absolutely, and then all.
- 1:10:43Speaker 19: Of a sudden, there's like ten seconds left on the clock.
- 1:10:45Speaker 19: Whe have then boom, the New England Patriots trade up,
- 1:10:48Speaker 19: you know, with the no to the forty second pick,
- 1:10:51Speaker 19: because the Baltimore Ravens had the forty third pick. That's
- 1:10:53Speaker 19: how it was going down. They traded up with the
- 1:10:56Speaker 19: uh I think the Oakland Raiders at that time. So
- 1:10:59Speaker 19: the Raiders traded down, the Patriots got the forty second
- 1:11:01Speaker 19: pick and took me. And I thought the whole time like,
- 1:11:04Speaker 19: all right, I got Baltimore coming up, I'm pretty sure
- 1:11:07Speaker 19: that's where I'm going to go.
- 1:11:09Speaker 18: But now that makes sense. They were scrambling and that's
- 1:11:12Speaker 18: why I went down to the last.
- 1:11:13Speaker 19: Seconds, because they were trying to get it in, yeah,
- 1:11:15Speaker 19: and get that you know trade in, which they did.
- 1:11:17Speaker 18: And I'm very very thankful they got that trade in.
- 1:11:20Speaker 19: So whoever, whoever's you know, duties that was, and whoever
- 1:11:23Speaker 19: accomplished to get that and whoever hustle who was it?
- 1:11:26Speaker 5: It was all of them.
- 1:11:27Speaker 17: It was Bill John Robinson Nick. I mean, Jimmy D's
- 1:11:31Speaker 17: in New York, I think at the time. So they're
- 1:11:32Speaker 17: yelling at Jimmy to get the car, didn't you know.
- 1:11:34Speaker 18: I just want to thank you, Jimmy D for getting
- 1:11:36Speaker 18: that card in on time.
- 1:11:37Speaker 4: Man.
- 1:11:38Speaker 18: The rest is history from there.
- 1:11:39Speaker 17: Did you think you were risk? Other people thought you
- 1:11:42Speaker 17: were a risk. Were you confident that that everything was
- 1:11:45Speaker 17: going to be all right? Like by all accounts, you
- 1:11:47Speaker 17: never should have lasted until the second round, but people
- 1:11:50Speaker 17: were worried about your back.
- 1:11:51Speaker 19: Yeah, yeah, that's that's one hundred percent true. I mean,
- 1:11:54Speaker 19: my back was a little damage coming out of out
- 1:11:56Speaker 19: of college, that's for sure. I mean I had some
- 1:11:59Speaker 19: serious back problems. I mean they were serious, but they're
- 1:12:02Speaker 19: kind of minor at the same time. Actually, but all
- 1:12:04Speaker 19: back problems are serious when you got pain shooting down
- 1:12:06Speaker 19: your legs and you can't really move that much. But
- 1:12:09Speaker 19: it was just a minor procedure where they take the
- 1:12:11Speaker 19: hernie disk. They just chop it off a little bit
- 1:12:13Speaker 19: and get it off your spinal cord. And a good
- 1:12:17Speaker 19: thing was I'm young, so you heal quickly as well.
- 1:12:19Speaker 19: And uh no, there's there's more major back surgeries when
- 1:12:23Speaker 19: you fuse, when you fuse little by together and all that.
- 1:12:26Speaker 19: So I've had three marcro dissectomies and I've been good
- 1:12:29Speaker 19: since I had my last one. Actually, that was my
- 1:12:31Speaker 19: last surgery, which was here sixteen, right, yeah, I think No,
- 1:12:34Speaker 19: I think it was.
- 1:12:34Speaker 18: Two thousand and eight. Eight, No, twenty sixteen, you're right.
- 1:12:37Speaker 4: Missed the Super Bowl.
- 1:12:38Speaker 19: That's why I missed the Super Bowl with so Atlanta Falcons.
- 1:12:40Speaker 19: But I also absolutely got level going up to see
- 1:12:44Speaker 19: Earl Thomas, one of the hardest hitting safeties in the game,
- 1:12:46Speaker 19: and I was looking at the ball and boomy hit
- 1:12:48Speaker 19: me going full speed and.
- 1:12:49Speaker 18: Popped my disc out. I mean, it was a football injury.
- 1:12:53Speaker 18: You can't do nothing about it.
- 1:12:54Speaker 19: I actually made a nice play after that and caught
- 1:12:57Speaker 19: the ball to the two yard line on the fade,
- 1:12:59Speaker 19: even though my back was blowing out and I was
- 1:13:01Speaker 19: I was spitting blood out because I also punctured my
- 1:13:04Speaker 19: lung on that hit as well. But hey, that's football,
- 1:13:06Speaker 19: and you got to be a tough sob and that's
- 1:13:09Speaker 19: what gets you, you know, the wins and gets you
- 1:13:11Speaker 19: fire if you can take the pain.
- 1:13:12Speaker 18: And I sure was, but we're going back. Was I
- 1:13:16Speaker 18: a risk kind of? But in my mind I.
- 1:13:18Speaker 19: Wasn't because I knew my mindset. I knew I was
- 1:13:21Speaker 19: going to overcome the injury you know that I had
- 1:13:23Speaker 19: in college. I knew I wanted to be a professional
- 1:13:26Speaker 19: football player as well, so I wasn't gonna let anything
- 1:13:29Speaker 19: get in my way. So when I was asked that
- 1:13:31Speaker 19: question in the job interviews and everything, I strongly with
- 1:13:34Speaker 19: confidence told them, hey, I'm not worried about my back.
- 1:13:38Speaker 19: I want to be a tight end in the National
- 1:13:41Speaker 19: Football League. I want to be one of the best
- 1:13:43Speaker 19: tight ends as well in the National Football League. And
- 1:13:45Speaker 19: I'm gonna do whatever it takes, you know, for my
- 1:13:48Speaker 19: back to be solidified to where I needed to be
- 1:13:51Speaker 19: throughout my whole career. Yeah, there's gonna be ups and
- 1:13:53Speaker 19: downs with the back, you know, but I always knew
- 1:13:55Speaker 19: that if I stayed on top of it as well
- 1:13:57Speaker 19: with the rehab, you know, doing the core exercises, doing
- 1:14:00Speaker 19: the right back exercises, that you know, my career will
- 1:14:03Speaker 19: you know, be a decently long career. So I made sure,
- 1:14:07Speaker 19: you know, to some of the teams that I wanted
- 1:14:10Speaker 19: to go to, hey, I'm ready to play. My back
- 1:14:13Speaker 19: is not a problem. But the reason why it was
- 1:14:16Speaker 19: kind of a problem is they were saying I had
- 1:14:17Speaker 19: scoliosis and I didn't even know what scoliosis was because
- 1:14:22Speaker 19: you get the MRI at the combine so all the
- 1:14:24Speaker 19: team doctors can check out your back.
- 1:14:26Speaker 18: So whatever I have, I mean, I beat it. So scolios,
- 1:14:31Speaker 18: screw you.
- 1:14:33Speaker 4: So you tell the story about the draft visit when
- 1:14:36Speaker 4: you fell asleep, you also have a story about right
- 1:14:39Speaker 4: after you got drafted. Didn't take you long to sort
- 1:14:41Speaker 4: of get called into the principal's office.
- 1:14:43Speaker 18: Right, No, it didn't.
- 1:14:44Speaker 19: I mean, i I've always you know, was a maniac,
- 1:14:48Speaker 19: especially when I was a young buck, and I like
- 1:14:50Speaker 19: to have a good time.
- 1:14:52Speaker 4: That's for sure. What a moment that.
- 1:14:56Speaker 19: I'm telling you, it was one of the best moments
- 1:14:59Speaker 19: my life, guys. And what's what's great about it is
- 1:15:02Speaker 19: I was I was pissed I didn't go in the
- 1:15:04Speaker 19: first round.
- 1:15:04Speaker 4: You know.
- 1:15:05Speaker 19: My Mom's like, I never really seen you pissed before,
- 1:15:07Speaker 19: and like my brother made a comment like that I
- 1:15:09Speaker 19: didn't go in the first round.
- 1:15:10Speaker 18: I was like, shut up.
- 1:15:11Speaker 19: You know, I was just pissed, like and I should
- 1:15:13Speaker 19: have never even said shut up. I was just over exaggerating.
- 1:15:16Speaker 19: You know, when you're mad that everything's gonna make you
- 1:15:19Speaker 19: like you is gonna make you mad, you know you're
- 1:15:21Speaker 19: gonna be pissed off, and right rightfully so because I
- 1:15:25Speaker 19: thought I was a first rounder, you know, I in
- 1:15:27Speaker 19: my mind I wanted to be. Yeah, But in the end,
- 1:15:31Speaker 19: let me tell you it truly doesn't matter where you're drafted.
- 1:15:34Speaker 19: It matters what you do after you're drafted, and once
- 1:15:37Speaker 19: you get the shot, you know, it's all about what
- 1:15:39Speaker 19: you do with with the opportunity that you get.
- 1:15:42Speaker 18: There's no doubt about it.
- 1:15:44Speaker 2: And now, great moments in.
- 1:15:49Speaker 6: History Yeah, what happened to theopolo porn star? Has she
- 1:15:52Speaker 6: made any headlines this week? I feel like she would
- 1:15:55Speaker 6: come out and go on a show this week or
- 1:15:56Speaker 6: something show, Yeah, go on a big radio show, go
- 1:16:00Speaker 6: on yeah, something like that. Maybe not an elder, maybe
- 1:16:03Speaker 6: like a fallon.
- 1:16:04Speaker 4: He's got a weird side to him. He's got a
- 1:16:05Speaker 4: weird side.
- 1:16:06Speaker 7: He's got like, yeah, got a weird side to him.
- 1:16:09Speaker 4: That's his nickname. His nickname on the team is Drifted.
- 1:16:12Speaker 5: Why.
- 1:16:12Speaker 4: I don't know what. Probably figure out how.
- 1:16:16Speaker 6: I would have to click on things on Twitter to
- 1:16:19Speaker 6: find out.
- 1:16:20Speaker 5: Why have you?
- 1:16:21Speaker 2: It's great, baby, that's another great moment.
- 1:16:29Speaker 5: All right, you got a little taste of the Pats
- 1:16:31Speaker 5: from the past, Gronk and No Socks and Paul. I
- 1:16:34Speaker 5: highly recommend it. It's available wherever you get your podcasts.
- 1:16:39Speaker 5: Forty nine of them done so.
- 1:16:40Speaker 7: Far, right, Yeah, fifty coming up? Got anybody booked? Nothing?
- 1:16:45Speaker 6: Tom Brady? Yeah, clear this up.
- 1:16:46Speaker 1: So we've done forty nine episodes, but fifty one of
- 1:16:49Speaker 1: them have been released since one was a two parter.
- 1:16:52Speaker 5: Okay, well that doesn't count, That's what I was telling Chris.
- 1:16:55Speaker 4: Yeah, let's see, I'm gonna save Gronk for the fifty.
- 1:16:59Speaker 5: I thought this email was interesting. This is from Jordan
- 1:17:02Speaker 5: from The Jungle, personal anecdote with you guys listening to
- 1:17:08Speaker 5: your show because honestly I need the distraction. I'm currently
- 1:17:11Speaker 5: at a meditation retreat northern Thailand. Wow, Aaron Rodgers, deep
- 1:17:16Speaker 5: in the mountains, practically in the middle of nowhere. Sounds peaceful, right,
- 1:17:19Speaker 5: Well not exactly right now. I'm glued to the toilet
- 1:17:23Speaker 5: thanks to my overly sensitive stomach, which decided to wage
- 1:17:26Speaker 5: warn me. As if that's not bad enough, I'm dressed
- 1:17:29Speaker 5: in all white, sharing a room with eight other dudes,
- 1:17:32Speaker 5: and I'm dangerously close to running out of toilet paper.
- 1:17:35Speaker 5: The silver lining my body held off until the evening
- 1:17:39Speaker 5: chance to open the floodgates. If this had happened during
- 1:17:42Speaker 5: the hour long meditation walk through the Jungle, well, let's
- 1:17:45Speaker 5: just say I'd have to change my name and permanently
- 1:17:47Speaker 5: leave society. So I'm curious, what's your worst bathroom nightmare?
- 1:17:52Speaker 6: Oh my god, I did not need to know any.
- 1:17:54Speaker 4: Of that worst bathroom nightmare.
- 1:17:57Speaker 5: So I have to say that one of my phobias
- 1:18:01Speaker 5: is going number two in a public bathroom, and it's
- 1:18:05Speaker 5: because first grade, Saint Raymond's and Providence, Rhode Island. I
- 1:18:09Speaker 5: was in the bathroom and doing my business in some
- 1:18:13Speaker 5: of the older kids busted open the door and started
- 1:18:16Speaker 5: laughing at me. And ever since then, I've been traumatized
- 1:18:21Speaker 5: about using a public bathroom going number two.
- 1:18:23Speaker 7: Like I think everyone kind of is to some extent.
- 1:18:26Speaker 5: Yeah, but that that assault. Brother.
- 1:18:30Speaker 7: I always tell my kids, I'm like, live your life
- 1:18:32Speaker 7: to avoid having the poop at school, like you don't like, no,
- 1:18:35Speaker 7: like just avoid that.
- 1:18:36Speaker 4: You got to go never once?
- 1:18:38Speaker 5: You never pooped in school, never once?
- 1:18:40Speaker 9: Why?
- 1:18:42Speaker 6: Because what happened to you?
- 1:18:44Speaker 5: High? There's no need, no need to poop at school.
- 1:18:47Speaker 4: I never never smoke. I really went pee at school,
- 1:18:52Speaker 4: let alone, So.
- 1:18:53Speaker 5: You you're really high?
- 1:18:56Speaker 6: Didn't Why?
- 1:18:57Speaker 5: Why is this just the funliness?
- 1:18:59Speaker 10: Or no?
- 1:19:00Speaker 4: Yeah I did that?
- 1:19:01Speaker 5: Yeah, but what what's going on here?
- 1:19:03Speaker 4: My Spanish teacher always knew what's going on here? Mister b.
- 1:19:08Speaker 5: What's what's going on? Why would not you? Why wouldn't
- 1:19:10Speaker 5: you use the bathroom at school?
- 1:19:12Speaker 4: And I didn't need it?
- 1:19:13Speaker 5: What do you mean you didn't need it?
- 1:19:14Speaker 4: Pee your pants? No, never had any issues.
- 1:19:18Speaker 5: You never had to go to the bathroom in school.
- 1:19:20Speaker 4: You've never gone more than six hours without going to
- 1:19:22Speaker 4: the bathroom.
- 1:19:24Speaker 5: No, No, I've always used the bathroom in school.
- 1:19:27Speaker 4: But you've never gone more than six hours.
- 1:19:29Speaker 5: Maybe there were days here and there.
- 1:19:31Speaker 4: But also don't pee on planes as a general rule.
- 1:19:33Speaker 5: It sounds like you make a point not to do it,
- 1:19:35Speaker 5: Like you don't need to this before. What do you
- 1:19:42Speaker 5: have like an iron cast bladder or something like? How
- 1:19:45Speaker 5: do you not like sometimes you have to go no
- 1:19:49Speaker 5: diapeps something, there's something more something going on here.
- 1:19:55Speaker 4: The number two would be completely out of the question.
- 1:19:57Speaker 4: I'm not doing that, So what would you do?
- 1:19:59Speaker 10: Like?
- 1:19:59Speaker 4: Absolutely, I don't like doing it here, and there have
- 1:20:02Speaker 4: been times that I've had to do it here. Usually
- 1:20:05Speaker 4: I go in the office, Yeah, you know, in the
- 1:20:07Speaker 4: locker room, the men's locker. Yeah, but I don't know,
- 1:20:12Speaker 4: I just don't like, I don't like doing that.
- 1:20:13Speaker 5: Well, no one loves it, but like you just do it.
- 1:20:16Speaker 4: Yeah, it wasn't everybody like, it wasn't a phobia.
- 1:20:20Speaker 5: So no, you just never had the need.
- 1:20:23Speaker 4: No, and you don't need to. So why are you
- 1:20:25Speaker 4: gonna do like again? While you're forcing it out?
- 1:20:28Speaker 5: Who's forcing it?
- 1:20:29Speaker 4: Taking laxatives or something? What are you doing?
- 1:20:31Speaker 5: What are you talking about? Like there's nothing for like you, oh,
- 1:20:34Speaker 5: I gotta.
- 1:20:34Speaker 4: Go, so you go, so that I do have a
- 1:20:40Speaker 4: you know, a disgustingly embarrassing, uh bathroom story that didn't
- 1:20:44Speaker 4: involve a bathroom. So I was at a I was
- 1:20:47Speaker 4: at a party in Wellesley and Neck of the Woods.
- 1:20:52Speaker 4: I used to coach in Wellesley and I was at
- 1:20:54Speaker 4: I was at a party there with a guy that
- 1:20:55Speaker 4: I played baseball with that bu and leave there and
- 1:21:01Speaker 4: you know, probably probably shouldn't have been drying. But I'm
- 1:21:05Speaker 4: driving home. I'm route nine? Was it Route nine?
- 1:21:10Speaker 5: On one? O?
- 1:21:10Speaker 8: Nine?
- 1:21:11Speaker 5: Okay?
- 1:21:12Speaker 4: For again? So I just had to go and I
- 1:21:18Speaker 4: wasn't gonna like that's like a half hour from from
- 1:21:21Speaker 4: every easy and there's no way I'm going to make
- 1:21:23Speaker 4: it right.
- 1:21:24Speaker 5: Like I'm literally we're talking number two.
- 1:21:26Speaker 4: Yeah, oh, I'm literally holding the steering wheel and I'm
- 1:21:29Speaker 4: standing up like holding it, clenching your cheeks. I'm giving
- 1:21:32Speaker 4: the visual.
- 1:21:33Speaker 6: Why are we talking about this?
- 1:21:35Speaker 4: I had to pull over to the side.
- 1:21:36Speaker 5: Of the road. Yeah really, Yeah, what'd you use for
- 1:21:39Speaker 5: toilet paper?
- 1:21:41Speaker 4: My underwear?
- 1:21:42Speaker 5: Oh? Wow, that is real, that's see now, I've never
- 1:21:46Speaker 5: had that and yet I'll use a bathroom on a plane.
- 1:21:49Speaker 4: Well, I had no choice. It was either going to
- 1:21:51Speaker 4: be It was either going to be in my car
- 1:21:53Speaker 4: or on the side of the road. Those are the
- 1:21:55Speaker 4: two options.
- 1:21:56Speaker 7: I can't wait till Chris Farris like, so, what'd you
- 1:21:58Speaker 7: guys talk about today? Any topics for the head.
- 1:21:59Speaker 6: Topics bullet points, bullet points bullets number two.
- 1:22:02Speaker 4: So I remember the first time I ever went with
- 1:22:05Speaker 4: a guy to go, I left the underwear in the woods.
- 1:22:08Speaker 5: I would imagine I still have it. First time I
- 1:22:10Speaker 5: ever went with a guy fly fishing, I was out
- 1:22:13Speaker 5: in I was out in Idaho, and you know, he's
- 1:22:17Speaker 5: packing up and he's got toilet paper, and I'm like,
- 1:22:20Speaker 5: what's that. He goes, Oh, there aren't a going to
- 1:22:23Speaker 5: be any bathrooms. We're gonna be out there all day.
- 1:22:24Speaker 5: Oh okay, Oh luckily I didn't have to.
- 1:22:29Speaker 4: But oh, so you were able to do it.
- 1:22:31Speaker 5: But if I had to, I would have.
- 1:22:33Speaker 4: So would I as I did on the side of
- 1:22:35Speaker 4: the road.
- 1:22:35Speaker 5: But you're telling me all your years of school you
- 1:22:38Speaker 5: never had to go to the bathroom.
- 1:22:39Speaker 4: Two two, I've gone to I've gone one. I didn't
- 1:22:43Speaker 4: do it often. I didn't have to go to the
- 1:22:45Speaker 4: bathroom often.
- 1:22:46Speaker 5: Wow.
- 1:22:47Speaker 7: The Route nine, it was a busy streets.
- 1:22:50Speaker 4: So that's why I think it.
- 1:22:51Speaker 5: Might be one on you know how like you're driving
- 1:22:53Speaker 5: down you're driving down those roads and you see the
- 1:22:55Speaker 5: cross because somebody it's they marked off a little emoji.
- 1:23:03Speaker 4: You're so disrespectful, Paul. This is loved ones and you're
- 1:23:07Speaker 4: equating it to that.
- 1:23:08Speaker 5: This is where Paul defecated all over the place and
- 1:23:12Speaker 5: left his his his tidy whities.
- 1:23:15Speaker 4: Oh they weren't tidy whities. Oh no, it's got your
- 1:23:20Speaker 4: pair of boxes boxes, which was better because I had
- 1:23:23Speaker 4: more materials.
- 1:23:25Speaker 5: Yeah. Wow, that must have been traumatic. It was, Yeah,
- 1:23:30Speaker 5: I feel for it.
- 1:23:31Speaker 4: It was, and I like the moment that I like,
- 1:23:34Speaker 4: the realization came, like there is no way, yeah, oh
- 1:23:38Speaker 4: you possibly make it.
- 1:23:39Speaker 5: I'm gonna bust open here.
- 1:23:41Speaker 4: Yeah, and I just said I'm looking. It was it
- 1:23:43Speaker 4: was dark, there's no traffic. It must have been one
- 1:23:45Speaker 4: oh nine because there was no traffic at all, and
- 1:23:49Speaker 4: rout nine.
- 1:23:49Speaker 5: Is too busy. And Route nine you could find a
- 1:23:51Speaker 5: place yeah right, yeah, the fast food place somewhere but
- 1:23:56Speaker 5: for the news. But you wouldn't do it in.
- 1:23:57Speaker 4: There, either of course I would have if I had
- 1:23:59Speaker 4: that option. Okay, it was, I mean, Fred, it was
- 1:24:02Speaker 4: I'm just wondering. There was no there was no vulnerable,
- 1:24:05Speaker 4: there was no holding it. It was coming one way
- 1:24:07Speaker 4: or the other.
- 1:24:08Speaker 6: In the car or out of the car.
- 1:24:10Speaker 5: Eric and Maryland has the opposite behind set. He says,
- 1:24:13Speaker 5: poop on company time, not your own time.
- 1:24:16Speaker 6: Get PAIDO.
- 1:24:18Speaker 4: Good Eric.
- 1:24:20Speaker 6: There's some good bathrooms in this building too.
- 1:24:22Speaker 4: Well.
- 1:24:22Speaker 5: Yeah, they're lovely bathrooms, and a lot of them are.
- 1:24:26Speaker 5: The doors are such that no one can peek in,
- 1:24:29Speaker 5: because that's another phobia of mine, like people might be
- 1:24:31Speaker 5: looking in.
- 1:24:32Speaker 6: Yeah, I see, I'm talking about the You don't have
- 1:24:36Speaker 6: to worry about anybody peeking in because you're in a
- 1:24:38Speaker 6: solo situation.
- 1:24:40Speaker 4: You still have any conversations with yourself while you're doing it.
- 1:24:43Speaker 5: Happened since that one time? Yeah, that's good. Well, you
- 1:24:47Speaker 5: kind of lose yourself in thought, and you know, you
- 1:24:49Speaker 5: just blurt things out, So of course happens to all
- 1:24:54Speaker 5: of us.
- 1:24:56Speaker 4: What's this, Uh, I don't know you have the emails?
- 1:24:59Speaker 7: Were talking about number two?
- 1:25:00Speaker 5: K Eric? The enemy just got fired from U C.
- 1:25:03Speaker 5: L A. He did he did you knew about that?
- 1:25:06Speaker 6: Yes?
- 1:25:08Speaker 5: He's had more jobs that guy, was he chip Kelly's OC?
- 1:25:13Speaker 4: Yes, well not now right. Chip Kelly is not a
- 1:25:18Speaker 4: UCLA anymore.
- 1:25:18Speaker 6: I don't know who the head coaches. I just agree
- 1:25:21Speaker 6: the head the head coach. I thought U c l A.
- 1:25:26Speaker 4: No, no, chip Kelly is the offensive coordinator at Ohio State.
- 1:25:29Speaker 6: I believe who's U c l A.
- 1:25:31Speaker 4: Now, what's so doing? I used that?
- 1:25:35Speaker 6: Oh yeah, Sean Fosters their coach now alumni higher.
- 1:25:41Speaker 5: Okay, Dan and Virginia and Michigan. Michigan says, it's really
- 1:25:48Speaker 5: been interesting to learn today that Craft Sports Media save
- 1:25:52Speaker 5: money on its medical insurance plan by having its employees
- 1:25:54Speaker 5: go on Patriots unfiltered for therapy instead of seeing a
- 1:25:57Speaker 5: professional speaking of therapy. I might need some after listening.
- 1:26:01Speaker 4: To this, just to help them from that conversation.
- 1:26:08Speaker 5: Tom says, please send the privacy agreement as they want
- 1:26:11Speaker 5: to continue receiving the newsletter. I think, Tom, now that
- 1:26:16Speaker 5: you've just sent that email, you should have got to
- 1:26:19Speaker 5: bounce back thing where you can do that. If you didn't,
- 1:26:22Speaker 5: let me know and we'll fix that. But you should
- 1:26:26Speaker 5: have gotten a bounce back reply where now you can
- 1:26:29Speaker 5: officially sign up for the newsletter and agree to the privacy.
- 1:26:33Speaker 7: Just get it notarized, send it to us on a
- 1:26:35Speaker 7: two days something from your firstborn.
- 1:26:39Speaker 5: Dan's and Chestnut Hill Dan, did you see the thing
- 1:26:43Speaker 5: on the side of the road from Paul?
- 1:26:45Speaker 4: I was probably right in around that.
- 1:26:46Speaker 5: Yeah, what's up Dan? Dan? It's unbelievable, these kids, these
- 1:26:53Speaker 5: kids these days. Chestnut Hill Dan, No, how do you
- 1:26:57Speaker 5: nothing there? Okay, we'll go down the list. We'll go
- 1:27:02Speaker 5: to Boston Cream. What's up Boston Cream?
- 1:27:05Speaker 9: Hey guys?
- 1:27:06Speaker 8: All right, Fred, quick question.
- 1:27:08Speaker 11: There used to be about five year rule for jerseys,
- 1:27:11Speaker 11: and after yesterday's show, I'm curious if you change your jersey,
- 1:27:15Speaker 11: do you still have to wait five years to change
- 1:27:17Speaker 11: your primaries?
- 1:27:19Speaker 5: Primary? I believe you do, But now they've got all
- 1:27:21Speaker 5: these other exceptions, so I think there's ways to get
- 1:27:26Speaker 5: new jerseys in there without that rule.
- 1:27:30Speaker 8: So is there any talk to doing touch?
- 1:27:34Speaker 5: I think that you should stay tuned.
- 1:27:38Speaker 8: Interesting. Also, my last comment is I think the show
- 1:27:42Speaker 8: still needs a villain. It's not me because I love
- 1:27:44Speaker 8: you guys, but the show needs another Mark.
- 1:27:46Speaker 20: In the bay.
- 1:27:47Speaker 5: Okay, thanks, thanks Boston Creme. Would Eric got so mad
- 1:27:54Speaker 5: at him? One day?
- 1:27:55Speaker 4: They had an argument on the phone that me and
- 1:27:58Speaker 4: Andy were just crying, trying.
- 1:28:00Speaker 7: He called it a couple of times when I first
- 1:28:02Speaker 7: started still harassing Eric.
- 1:28:04Speaker 5: Remember well, he had this really annoying voice, which I
- 1:28:06Speaker 5: think might have been a put on, but I think
- 1:28:08Speaker 5: but he would come in like a real know it all,
- 1:28:11Speaker 5: and you know, the show can only have one noa,
- 1:28:13Speaker 5: that's Eric. And so they would butt heads. They would
- 1:28:17Speaker 5: butt heads, and Andy would go after him too.
- 1:28:20Speaker 4: Oh, Andy didn't like him.
- 1:28:21Speaker 5: He would kill him and he stopped calling.
- 1:28:23Speaker 4: Yeah, we lost a lot of them.
- 1:28:25Speaker 5: I don't know what happened. Yeah, I don't know what happened.
- 1:28:29Speaker 4: We used to go to Super Bowls before him.
- 1:28:31Speaker 5: Too, So true fault.
- 1:28:33Speaker 6: He got tired.
- 1:28:33Speaker 7: It wasn't Belichick and Brady, it was they hired Duce.
- 1:28:39Speaker 4: I had nothing to do with Brady retiring.
- 1:28:43Speaker 5: A lot of people calling in about the newsletter. I
- 1:28:46Speaker 5: hope you're getting the bounce backs.
- 1:28:48Speaker 4: Oh, oh, I have an interesting caller.
- 1:28:50Speaker 7: Look who we got there? Oh Francisco.
- 1:28:53Speaker 4: I'm surprised the phones are working.
- 1:28:56Speaker 6: Okay, so she called it.
- 1:28:59Speaker 5: Alex from Francisco. What's up? Alex?
- 1:29:04Speaker 7: Hey, am I on?
- 1:29:05Speaker 5: Yeah, you're on the air. Yeah.
- 1:29:07Speaker 4: The first time doing this.
- 1:29:09Speaker 5: Have you shoveled out yet? And like are you all right?
- 1:29:13Speaker 21: Okay, okay.
- 1:29:16Speaker 20: Just for the record, I tried to come into work today.
- 1:29:20Speaker 9: Try You guys might have know.
- 1:29:22Speaker 20: I got four inches, which I thought was, oh my god,
- 1:29:25Speaker 20: here I am driving in Unfortunately parts of the state.
- 1:29:29Speaker 20: I have to drive through the greater what's their area stop?
- 1:29:32Speaker 20: Seven to eight inches today, So it took me forty
- 1:29:35Speaker 20: minutes to go fifteen miles and then I sat with
- 1:29:38Speaker 20: my car park on the mask pipe for another forty
- 1:29:41Speaker 20: five minutes, and then I broke the loss to get
- 1:29:44Speaker 20: off the highway. So I wasn't just snowed in and
- 1:29:47Speaker 20: being a baby. I toutly tried to cop but it's
- 1:29:50Speaker 20: gonna take three hours.
- 1:29:51Speaker 5: So Worcester got what happened. So you're west of Worcester,
- 1:29:55Speaker 5: and Worcester got it worse than you got.
- 1:29:56Speaker 7: It's way west.
- 1:29:57Speaker 4: Yeah, Worcester was supposed to be getting hit pretty good.
- 1:30:00Speaker 20: What's the got nailed?
- 1:30:01Speaker 8: What's they got?
- 1:30:02Speaker 10: Like?
- 1:30:02Speaker 20: Eight inches?
- 1:30:03Speaker 4: Part the hills?
- 1:30:05Speaker 5: Here's the hills. Well, you should have count You should
- 1:30:07Speaker 5: have started last night. Yeah, you should have.
- 1:30:10Speaker 4: You should have done, especially with picks with picks today.
- 1:30:13Speaker 5: Yeah, the show must go on Alex.
- 1:30:15Speaker 20: Okay, that's why I'm calling it, guys, That's why I'm
- 1:30:17Speaker 20: calling it. We're doing what we can. We're leaning on technology.
- 1:30:20Speaker 5: Okay, so you're going to be on the show via
- 1:30:22Speaker 5: this call.
- 1:30:23Speaker 4: Okay if you want, Yeah, you can stay on the line.
- 1:30:28Speaker 5: I mean we could, we could. You want to do
- 1:30:31Speaker 5: a teams thing? All right, hang up because we'd rather
- 1:30:34Speaker 5: have you so people can see you. Oh god, Okay,
- 1:30:41Speaker 5: all right, I'm gonna hang out.
- 1:30:42Speaker 7: No girls.
- 1:30:43Speaker 4: So now we're going to get to see Alex at
- 1:30:45Speaker 4: the spot, which I was gonna say.
- 1:30:48Speaker 6: I'm not sure she's a camera read that's what.
- 1:30:51Speaker 4: I gotta get read.
- 1:30:52Speaker 7: Quote though, like it's hard for girls to be ugly
- 1:30:54Speaker 7: these days, so she's got to pull together quick, Alex.
- 1:30:57Speaker 4: Let's you're just not trying.
- 1:31:00Speaker 5: One way or another. I'm gonna get her. Okay. Well,
- 1:31:05Speaker 5: speaking of that, Oh, Matt's Matt's busy. You can't can
- 1:31:09Speaker 5: you play the music? We got time?
- 1:31:16Speaker 4: It's really three because they're red home play a game
- 1:31:22Speaker 4: on the road.
- 1:31:22Speaker 21: Except for the Bulls from Man We gotta hurry.
- 1:31:28Speaker 5: We gotta you gotta hurry, spreading, I Gotta hur.
- 1:31:33Speaker 21: This is the song that still shill makes a real hurt.
- 1:31:40Speaker 21: I gotta hurry.
- 1:31:48Speaker 5: Not loving it.
- 1:31:49Speaker 6: It's like two thousands pop.
- 1:31:51Speaker 5: Not loving it?
- 1:31:52Speaker 21: The genre it was third time, third time, four time
- 1:31:55Speaker 21: is gonna.
- 1:31:55Speaker 4: Be the charm?
- 1:31:56Speaker 5: Yeah? Not loving it? What do you what do you
- 1:31:58Speaker 5: guys think?
- 1:31:58Speaker 7: I didn't really care for that one, No, but I
- 1:32:00Speaker 7: would think it should go every week like just a
- 1:32:01Speaker 7: new genre, like you know, could we get like a
- 1:32:03Speaker 7: country that one.
- 1:32:03Speaker 1: I was thinking of the people listening while they are
- 1:32:05Speaker 1: cooking in their kitchen, dancitude do it my song?
- 1:32:08Speaker 7: Well after that segment, Paul, I don't think anyone's in
- 1:32:10Speaker 7: the kitchen, right, Yeah.
- 1:32:12Speaker 5: All right, what do we got, Paul?
- 1:32:13Speaker 4: No one else goes to the bathroom. So, like I said,
- 1:32:18Speaker 4: I thought it was a historic week. We had Evan
- 1:32:22Speaker 4: at fifteen and one. Ohow Evan knew that going in
- 1:32:27Speaker 4: one loss?
- 1:32:27Speaker 5: To keep track?
- 1:32:31Speaker 6: What was the one lost?
- 1:32:33Speaker 4: You may have covered the game the Patriots.
- 1:32:37Speaker 6: Patriots, they let me down like that? That now now
- 1:32:40Speaker 6: even more mad, perfectly.
- 1:32:42Speaker 5: It's crazy.
- 1:32:43Speaker 4: Mike and Alex fourteen and two.
- 1:32:47Speaker 6: Wow, I was fifteen and one except for that game.
- 1:32:51Speaker 4: Frede twelve and four still good? Is that an indictment
- 1:32:55Speaker 4: on the league and Paul eleven and five, eleven and five,
- 1:32:59Speaker 4: and I'm forty games in arrears of the leader for
- 1:33:03Speaker 4: the week.
- 1:33:04Speaker 5: Who is me?
- 1:33:05Speaker 4: That's that's just I think that's a historic week. I'm
- 1:33:08Speaker 4: very good with the spread. Evan also won at twelve
- 1:33:11Speaker 4: and four. Mike and Evan also were in second at
- 1:33:14Speaker 4: eleven and five, Fred ten and six, and Paul eight
- 1:33:19Speaker 4: and eight. So here are the standings. Evan Y one
- 1:33:26Speaker 4: thirty three sixty two breaks the tie with me. Let's
- 1:33:32Speaker 4: see next is Alex one twenty nine and sixty six,
- 1:33:37Speaker 4: then Paul at one twenty six and sixty nine. Mike
- 1:33:41Speaker 4: and Fred tied for the basement. So this double Poopamoji's
- 1:33:45Speaker 4: this wow one twenty four and seventy one. I've fallen
- 1:33:49Speaker 4: with the spread still one of the strangest things I've
- 1:33:53Speaker 4: ever said. Mike last and overall first in the spread
- 1:33:59Speaker 4: one oh nine eighty three and three. Really good record.
- 1:34:02Speaker 4: Let's see Evan is one O eight eighty four and three,
- 1:34:06Speaker 4: Fred one O five eighty seven and three, Paul one
- 1:34:10Speaker 4: O four eighty eight and three, and Alex one O
- 1:34:14Speaker 4: three eighty nine and three now also new edition this week,
- 1:34:19Speaker 4: and I have it just I don't know if you
- 1:34:20Speaker 4: guys can where's my one? If you can zoom in
- 1:34:23Speaker 4: on white, we probably can't see it white balance. It's
- 1:34:26Speaker 4: gonna need a white balance. The first time that I
- 1:34:30Speaker 4: actually charted the quote, folks, yeah, this is your lack
- 1:34:35Speaker 4: of the week pick right from Fred didn't go well?
- 1:34:39Speaker 5: Didn't go well? Oh and one?
- 1:34:41Speaker 4: He had Atlanta plus two and a half against the charges.
- 1:34:44Speaker 5: I thought I had the Bears covering.
- 1:34:47Speaker 4: No, I have Atlanta right here with a little aastorisk gin.
- 1:34:49Speaker 4: It is why I chared. This is why I charted
- 1:34:51Speaker 4: this crap because.
- 1:34:53Speaker 5: I remember the Bear scan. I'm like, oh, I got
- 1:34:55Speaker 5: that one right.
- 1:34:57Speaker 6: You pick Detroit, Detroit?
- 1:34:58Speaker 4: Hey, you picked all right, let's rite there. I believe you.
- 1:35:03Speaker 5: Okay, all right, okay. Just before a brit who's a
- 1:35:07Speaker 5: regular listener writes in his name is Chris uh In
- 1:35:10Speaker 5: your pick segment, I was wondering how you would fare
- 1:35:12Speaker 5: if instead of trying to make an educated selection, you
- 1:35:15Speaker 5: just made a pick based on a standard method. So
- 1:35:17Speaker 5: if you took the approach of simply selecting the favorite
- 1:35:20Speaker 5: for each fixture, then through week thirteen you would have
- 1:35:22Speaker 5: a record of one thirty five and sixty by my calculation,
- 1:35:26Speaker 5: you're all behind the simple method of picking the favorite
- 1:35:29Speaker 5: each time. However, when you look at the spread, it
- 1:35:32Speaker 5: is clear that sharps know something. If you selected the
- 1:35:35Speaker 5: favorite to cover the spread every time, you'd have a
- 1:35:36Speaker 5: record of ninety nine, ninety three and three, and obviously
- 1:35:40Speaker 5: the reverse if you pick the underdog every time.
- 1:35:43Speaker 7: So that's interesting.
- 1:35:44Speaker 5: Yeah, well, the sharps don't do it to see They
- 1:35:48Speaker 5: do it to even out the money. So they're very
- 1:35:52Speaker 5: good at that. They're very good at absolutely How they
- 1:35:55Speaker 5: do it. How do they do it? They know stuff,
- 1:35:58Speaker 5: They know stuff.
- 1:35:59Speaker 6: Hey, duce, do you hear that? Those are footsteps? I'm
- 1:36:03Speaker 6: coming for you.
- 1:36:04Speaker 7: Let's see one again.
- 1:36:05Speaker 5: But yeah, okay, well that's so that gets just cut up.
- 1:36:12Speaker 5: But is that a good thing that we were all
- 1:36:13Speaker 5: so high and straight up? Like, is that bad for
- 1:36:16Speaker 5: the league?
- 1:36:17Speaker 6: That predictable league?
- 1:36:18Speaker 4: Yeah, predictable, But all the games were just it was
- 1:36:23Speaker 4: the closest weeked.
- 1:36:24Speaker 5: But look at loo got our record.
- 1:36:26Speaker 6: The records are good.
- 1:36:27Speaker 4: Yeah, but it's the closest. It was the closest week
- 1:36:30Speaker 4: of the season. As they breathlessly tell us all the time,
- 1:36:33Speaker 4: like that, like that's supposed to mean that it's a
- 1:36:34Speaker 4: good league because all the games are close, right, so
- 1:36:37Speaker 4: the games could have gone either way, and Evan picked
- 1:36:40Speaker 4: it right fifteen times.
- 1:36:41Speaker 6: Okay, the fact that our team was the one that
- 1:36:43Speaker 6: I didn't pick, doesn't.
- 1:36:44Speaker 4: That make it our team?
- 1:36:45Speaker 7: Are you going to bring that up?
- 1:36:46Speaker 4: On catch twenty they called a chop block. You may
- 1:36:49Speaker 4: have won, you may have won, yep, sixteen and oh
- 1:36:52Speaker 4: and I don't believe anybody's ever gone sixteen. And oh
- 1:36:54Speaker 4: I did you did? Yes, went sixteen, and I recall
- 1:36:58Speaker 4: that perfect. It was twenty twelve.
- 1:37:00Speaker 5: That was perfect. All right, we'll start with tonight. Well,
- 1:37:04Speaker 5: we have to hurry.
- 1:37:06Speaker 6: Is Alex back with us.
- 1:37:08Speaker 21: I've got her picture, but she hasn't texted me yet.
- 1:37:10Speaker 6: She's she's she was not camera ready.
- 1:37:13Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm telling you. She's at the spot I threw
- 1:37:15Speaker 4: her for a loop.
- 1:37:17Speaker 5: Right, she's at her friend's house.
- 1:37:18Speaker 6: She's on the camera.
- 1:37:19Speaker 21: She's looking good over here.
- 1:37:21Speaker 5: She's camera ready, okay, but she's not hearing. We can't
- 1:37:24Speaker 5: get her on all right, right, all right, we'll start
- 1:37:28Speaker 5: tonight tonight, eight fifteen Prime Video. Good game, Good game.
- 1:37:32Speaker 5: The nine to three Packers at the eleven and one Lions.
- 1:37:37Speaker 4: Detroit by three and a half.
- 1:37:39Speaker 7: Everybody talking about this again, even young Paul here today
- 1:37:42Speaker 7: was saying, well, I have to be.
- 1:37:43Speaker 4: On the radio tomorrow, so I'm feeling compelled to watch
- 1:37:45Speaker 4: this game.
- 1:37:47Speaker 6: How to do it?
- 1:37:47Speaker 7: Though, it's not that hard just talking this Amazon Backers game.
- 1:37:54Speaker 7: I love green Bay. I might be more tempted to
- 1:37:56Speaker 7: pick green Bay at home, but it's just it's hard
- 1:37:58Speaker 7: to pick against Detroit right now, and they're playing with
- 1:38:00Speaker 7: a little attitude, little swagger. So I'm gonna go with
- 1:38:02Speaker 7: Detroit at home. I will lay the points.
- 1:38:04Speaker 6: Yeah, this is a game I might watch every minute
- 1:38:07Speaker 6: of This is gonna be a good one, I think.
- 1:38:09Speaker 6: And I'm also going to pick the Lions. I just
- 1:38:12Speaker 6: I can't pick against the Lions at home right now
- 1:38:14Speaker 6: as much as I do like Green Bay as well,
- 1:38:16Speaker 6: so I'm going to pick Detroit Detroit.
- 1:38:20Speaker 4: So, yeah, I'm a little worried about the Lions injuries
- 1:38:23Speaker 4: on defense. I will take Detroit to win, but I'll
- 1:38:25Speaker 4: take the hook. I say they win by a field goal.
- 1:38:28Speaker 5: Yeah, I like that Paul Division game. I'm going with
- 1:38:33Speaker 5: the outright upset, so the Packers both ways. All right,
- 1:38:38Speaker 5: we have said Lions, Lions Lions. Okay, Lions, Lions for
- 1:38:43Speaker 5: for Alex. Sunday at one on CBS. The three and
- 1:38:48Speaker 5: nine Jets, By the way, you're gonna watch that Aaron
- 1:38:50Speaker 5: Rodgers documentary? No, even from the teaser, I don't want
- 1:38:54Speaker 5: to watch what is?
- 1:38:55Speaker 4: I didn't I didn't realize there was a documentary.
- 1:38:56Speaker 6: Oh yeah, it's like what was the one that Brady
- 1:38:59Speaker 6: did on Facebook?
- 1:39:02Speaker 5: And it's obvious that he thought he was going to
- 1:39:04Speaker 5: come back from this injury and have a good season.
- 1:39:06Speaker 4: It's gonna be like the place.
- 1:39:08Speaker 5: That's why he did it.
- 1:39:09Speaker 6: Yeah, I'm pretty sure Brady won the Super Bowl.
- 1:39:11Speaker 5: Yeah yeah, CBS one o'clock. The three and nine Jets
- 1:39:17Speaker 5: are at the five and seven Dolphins.
- 1:39:19Speaker 7: Miami by six, Miami by six. I like that, like
- 1:39:23Speaker 7: Miami going back home. I'm gonna take Miami. I'm gonna
- 1:39:26Speaker 7: lay all six of those points.
- 1:39:30Speaker 6: A tough one. Yeah, I guess Miami back at home
- 1:39:34Speaker 6: I'll take to win. The Jets have been on the
- 1:39:37Speaker 6: frisky though, so I'm gonna take the Dolphins. They can
- 1:39:43Speaker 6: take the Jets to cover. They're gonna take the Jets
- 1:39:45Speaker 6: cover division game.
- 1:39:46Speaker 4: They've been Okay, I'm gonna take Miami both Ways. I
- 1:39:51Speaker 4: think the offense just too much, especially down there.
- 1:39:54Speaker 5: Yeah, same here, Miami both Ways on Fox at one
- 1:39:59Speaker 5: o'clock it's the six and six Falcons at the ten
- 1:40:03Speaker 5: and two Vikings, Minnesota by six. Also, Alex had Miami Miami, Miami,
- 1:40:10Speaker 5: Miami for Alex. Sorry Alex, could she hear us? She
- 1:40:16Speaker 5: can hear us.
- 1:40:17Speaker 4: I'm texted Nerve for the Pika.
- 1:40:19Speaker 5: All right, that's crazy.
- 1:40:22Speaker 7: Yeah, I still I still have a great feel from Minnesota,
- 1:40:24Speaker 7: even though the one wast every game. But I'm gonna
- 1:40:26Speaker 7: take Minnesota at home. But I'm gonna lay those points too.
- 1:40:30Speaker 7: I love to talk about Penox, maybe Penix a lot
- 1:40:32Speaker 7: of calls.
- 1:40:32Speaker 4: We're going to lay the points.
- 1:40:33Speaker 7: I'm going to lay that six points.
- 1:40:35Speaker 6: Yeah, there are a lot of playing bad. There are
- 1:40:37Speaker 6: a lot of really bad last week, there are a
- 1:40:40Speaker 6: lot of calls from Penix and for Penix, I should say,
- 1:40:43Speaker 6: and I think it's pretty warranted. At six and six,
- 1:40:46Speaker 6: he drafted the guy from the top ten. It's probably
- 1:40:48Speaker 6: time to see him.
- 1:40:49Speaker 5: Towards the ends. A boatload, right they did.
- 1:40:52Speaker 6: I assume that contract is you could get out of it,
- 1:40:55Speaker 6: but we'll see. I like Minnesota both ways in this game.
- 1:40:58Speaker 6: I can't get Atlanta right though, and I feel like.
- 1:41:00Speaker 5: I know they're that team this year.
- 1:41:02Speaker 6: Yeah, I can't trust him. I'm not trusting him anymore.
- 1:41:04Speaker 5: That's why there's six and six.
- 1:41:06Speaker 4: Yeaheah. I will take Minnesota to win. I will take
- 1:41:08Speaker 4: the six with the Falcons.
- 1:41:11Speaker 5: Okay, I'm going to take the Vikings both ways. And Alex,
- 1:41:17Speaker 5: we don't know. He's texting her. He'll chime in when
- 1:41:22Speaker 5: he gets it, all right. One o'clock on Fox, the
- 1:41:25Speaker 5: four eight Saints are at the two and ten Giants.
- 1:41:29Speaker 4: New Orleans by four and a half. My god, Drew
- 1:41:33Speaker 4: Locke remaining at quarterback for the Giants.
- 1:41:39Speaker 7: This is a tough one. Too bad teams going nowhere.
- 1:41:43Speaker 7: You know, I'm gonna taake New Orleans to win, which
- 1:41:47Speaker 7: is four and a half. But I'll take the points
- 1:41:51Speaker 7: for the Giants at home. Maybe I think it's a
- 1:41:53Speaker 7: close one.
- 1:41:56Speaker 6: Yeah, I'm gonna take I'll take the Saints, but I'll
- 1:42:01Speaker 6: take the Giants as well to cover that. The Giants
- 1:42:06Speaker 6: are an interesting team to me right now, just because
- 1:42:08Speaker 6: what's gonna happen with their regime over there. I think
- 1:42:11Speaker 6: Dable is an interesting name. I think their defensive coordinator,
- 1:42:14Speaker 6: Patrick Graham is an interesting name. So I got my
- 1:42:17Speaker 6: eyes on what happens there with the fallout with the Giants.
- 1:42:21Speaker 4: It's weird because I've heard so many different things. I've
- 1:42:23Speaker 4: heard that they're definitely on, and I've heard they're definitely
- 1:42:26Speaker 4: back the whole regime.
- 1:42:27Speaker 5: Well, the latest thing is I heard that Stables definitely
- 1:42:30Speaker 5: back because if they do get a quarterback, they want
- 1:42:32Speaker 5: him working with him.
- 1:42:35Speaker 4: So I think they've been all over the map. I'm
- 1:42:37Speaker 4: going to take the Giants to win this game outright,
- 1:42:41Speaker 4: Northeast game, Saints Dome team bad Weather. Ye, maybe Drake
- 1:42:46Speaker 4: Drew Drew Lock doesn't have to put that many. I
- 1:42:48Speaker 4: thought they played pretty well on Thanksgiving. They probably should
- 1:42:50Speaker 4: have won that game. That unbelievable play by the linebacker overshown,
- 1:42:55Speaker 4: I think really turned the tides of that game. I
- 1:42:57Speaker 4: thought the Giants played well for good stretches of that.
- 1:43:00Speaker 5: Paul, I'm going to split the baby here. You know
- 1:43:02Speaker 5: what that means.
- 1:43:03Speaker 4: You're gonna say New Orleans, but you're gonna take the points.
- 1:43:06Speaker 5: Paul.
- 1:43:07Speaker 6: That was a very convincing argument by Paul. Now I
- 1:43:09Speaker 6: feel like I'm wrong.
- 1:43:10Speaker 4: Well, I'm liking last.
- 1:43:13Speaker 5: I know, fourth place, all right, Alex is up? Okay, okay,
- 1:43:21Speaker 5: So what what was your pick on the Vikings Falcons.
- 1:43:25Speaker 3: I'm gonna take Vikings at home both ways, okay, and
- 1:43:30Speaker 3: the Giant Saints. I'm gonna ride with the Saints and
- 1:43:35Speaker 3: both ways.
- 1:43:36Speaker 5: Okay. All right, sounds good.
- 1:43:39Speaker 4: That catches us up.
- 1:43:40Speaker 5: Okay, all right, So now we go to one o'clock Fox,
- 1:43:43Speaker 5: three and nine. Panthers are at the ten and two Eagles.
- 1:43:48Speaker 4: Philly by twelve and a half. Panthers have been playing
- 1:43:52Speaker 4: some pretty good football the last month.
- 1:43:54Speaker 7: Well, I am tempted to take that linear points, but
- 1:43:57Speaker 7: Philadelphia might be hottest team in the league right now, Sugar,
- 1:44:02Speaker 7: I'm gonna take Philadelphia to win.
- 1:44:06Speaker 5: How many points did you say?
- 1:44:07Speaker 4: Twelve and a half.
- 1:44:08Speaker 7: And I'm gonna lay them. I'm gonna lay them.
- 1:44:10Speaker 6: Yeah, go ahead, Alex, who can go back in order
- 1:44:13Speaker 6: to cool this?
- 1:44:15Speaker 21: S feels natural?
- 1:44:16Speaker 5: Philly, Philly, Philly, Philly.
- 1:44:18Speaker 4: Wow.
- 1:44:19Speaker 6: I'm gonna take the Eagles to win this game. I'm
- 1:44:21Speaker 6: gonna take the Panthers to cover. And I have like
- 1:44:22Speaker 6: a little Brice young thing. I just there was a
- 1:44:25Speaker 6: lot of people that said that you can't bench the
- 1:44:28Speaker 6: quarterback and then go back to the quarterback. There's a
- 1:44:31Speaker 6: lot of people that killed the Colts for doing it
- 1:44:34Speaker 6: with Anthony Richardson. They killed the Panthers for doing it
- 1:44:37Speaker 6: with Bryce Young. Bryce Young is playing great football now
- 1:44:40Speaker 6: all of a sudden, and he looks like a different
- 1:44:42Speaker 6: quarterback than pre benching. The mental reset did him a
- 1:44:45Speaker 6: lot of good, and I think we need to get rid.
- 1:44:47Speaker 4: Of help Richardson too. He's not playing great football Rice Young.
- 1:44:50Speaker 4: He is y, but I think he's played better Richardson
- 1:44:53Speaker 4: than he.
- 1:44:54Speaker 6: Was prior to the bank and his whole notion that
- 1:44:57Speaker 6: you can't do that and that it was such a
- 1:45:00Speaker 6: how rude to Bryce Young that no, they gave the
- 1:45:02Speaker 6: kid a break, and now he's playing awesome. He's looking
- 1:45:05Speaker 6: like the number one overall pick should look. So give
- 1:45:08Speaker 6: these guys some time, you know, all these guys need
- 1:45:10Speaker 6: some more time. People need to be more patient.
- 1:45:11Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm going to take Philly to win the game,
- 1:45:13Speaker 4: but I will take the points as well. Philly coming
- 1:45:16Speaker 4: off a huge win against Baltimore, I think that's a
- 1:45:18Speaker 4: little bit of a letdown. Yeah, at home against a
- 1:45:22Speaker 4: bad team.
- 1:45:22Speaker 5: It seems obvious to take the points and folks, this
- 1:45:27Speaker 5: is your upset underdog lock of the week for points spread.
- 1:45:34Speaker 4: So now I have to split the baby and do
- 1:45:36Speaker 4: two of these this week. Okay, so you got Philly
- 1:45:38Speaker 4: and Caroline. Well what was the other one? Well, I
- 1:45:40Speaker 4: assume you have an upset of the week, but this is.
- 1:45:43Speaker 5: Your points upset lock of the week. So the upset
- 1:45:47Speaker 5: the team that is getting points locks it.
- 1:45:50Speaker 4: Okay, so next week I'll have to have two.
- 1:45:53Speaker 5: Yeah you can. You might have three next week. I
- 1:45:56Speaker 5: don't know.
- 1:45:56Speaker 4: We don't even know what the night's gonna take it.
- 1:45:57Speaker 5: It's what I think it is. So so if the
- 1:46:00Speaker 5: Eagles win, Panthers cover. But I'm a little worried about
- 1:46:05Speaker 5: this because this seems like a big spread for the
- 1:46:08Speaker 5: way the Panthers have been playing lately.
- 1:46:10Speaker 6: Frisky.
- 1:46:10Speaker 4: Oh, it's also indicative of the way the Eagles have.
- 1:46:12Speaker 5: Been playing, I know. But then I'm not I'm not
- 1:46:15Speaker 5: sold on the Eagles.
- 1:46:17Speaker 7: Yeah they were, were they?
- 1:46:21Speaker 4: Oh?
- 1:46:21Speaker 5: They were fifth on CBS. Good one o'clock on CBS.
- 1:46:27Speaker 5: The three and nine Browns are at the nine and
- 1:46:30Speaker 5: three Steelers Pittsburgh.
- 1:46:32Speaker 7: By six and a half. Well, I've been talking about
- 1:46:35Speaker 7: all morning. I watched the AFC North Hard Knocks last night.
- 1:46:38Speaker 7: I like Pittsburgh, I like where they're doing. I love
- 1:46:40Speaker 7: Jameis Winston though I thought the part of my take
- 1:46:42Speaker 7: guys did a great thing on him, like yesterday too.
- 1:46:45Speaker 4: But I love Jamis.
- 1:46:46Speaker 7: I like Pittsburgh though. I'm gonna take Pittsburgh and I'm
- 1:46:50Speaker 7: gonna take the points though for Cleveland, because I think
- 1:46:53Speaker 7: Jamis puts up a lot of points for both teams.
- 1:46:58Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm gonna do the same thing as Mike Steelers
- 1:47:00Speaker 3: win Browns cover.
- 1:47:03Speaker 6: I'll go in Steelers Steelers here. I feel like this
- 1:47:06Speaker 6: whole Jameis Winston thing drives me nuts, you know it,
- 1:47:09Speaker 6: Like he's he's bad at football.
- 1:47:11Speaker 7: He's like eight hundred yards when you compared all the
- 1:47:14Speaker 7: yeah setting records up.
- 1:47:15Speaker 6: Guys are just like running wide open through Denver Secondary
- 1:47:19Speaker 6: and people are like, oh wow, look at Jamis. It's like,
- 1:47:21Speaker 6: look at Jamis's nobody twenty yards within that receiver.
- 1:47:24Speaker 4: Uh.
- 1:47:25Speaker 6: I go Steelers, Steelers. I'm done picking against the Steelers.
- 1:47:27Speaker 6: I think the Steelers are just good. So I'm road
- 1:47:30Speaker 6: riding with the Steelers.
- 1:47:31Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm taking Pittsburgh both ways as well. I think
- 1:47:34Speaker 4: they lost to Cleveland and they remember that.
- 1:47:38Speaker 5: Paul, you read my mind. This is where the shops
- 1:47:40Speaker 5: got it wrong. This should be a bigger spread than
- 1:47:42Speaker 5: six and a half. Steelers cover uh one o'clock CBS
- 1:47:47Speaker 5: two and ten. Raiders are at the six and six Buccaneers.
- 1:47:52Speaker 4: Bucks by six and a half. A lot of sixes
- 1:47:55Speaker 4: and six and a half this week half huh.
- 1:47:58Speaker 7: Yeah, I'll take I'll take Tampa at home and I'll
- 1:48:01Speaker 7: lay the points.
- 1:48:03Speaker 21: Bucks books.
- 1:48:07Speaker 6: Yeah, I'm going to take the Bucks both ways too.
- 1:48:09Speaker 6: I think the Raiders put it all into that Chiefs
- 1:48:11Speaker 6: game and came up short. But I will say Brock
- 1:48:14Speaker 6: Bowers is one of the best rookies I've seen in
- 1:48:16Speaker 6: a long long time. That guy is. He's the best
- 1:48:19Speaker 6: tight end in football already in year one of his career.
- 1:48:22Speaker 6: That's really really impressive. But he's a tight end.
- 1:48:25Speaker 4: So I'm going to take the Bucks both ways also,
- 1:48:29Speaker 4: and pretty impressive top of that draft. Like the quarterbacks
- 1:48:33Speaker 4: have all been pretty good, you know, Harrison and Neighbors,
- 1:48:37Speaker 4: you know, been pretty good. Bowers, Yeah, yeah, Fishan who
- 1:48:41Speaker 4: played last week fashion for the Jets and was really
- 1:48:44Speaker 4: good at left tackle because he hasn't played that much
- 1:48:49Speaker 4: so far this year, that's a good.
- 1:48:50Speaker 5: Anyone to ruin him?
- 1:48:51Speaker 4: What's his name for the Chargers, the Notre Dame kid Joe.
- 1:48:56Speaker 6: I would say that, you know, it's one year, and
- 1:48:59Speaker 6: you don't make a draft in one year. We could
- 1:49:01Speaker 6: look back on that draft and say that was a
- 1:49:03Speaker 6: historically great draft.
- 1:49:05Speaker 4: I mean that was good start anyway, for that top
- 1:49:07Speaker 4: half of that, for the round, the top pick, he's
- 1:49:10Speaker 4: been pretty good too.
- 1:49:11Speaker 5: He hasn't been new. Paul would come to his no.
- 1:49:13Speaker 4: No, no, but he hasn't been as good. I think
- 1:49:14Speaker 4: May has been better, and I think Daniels has been
- 1:49:17Speaker 4: better and Nix has been better. But did you watch
- 1:49:19Speaker 4: the second half of that.
- 1:49:21Speaker 5: I'm only trolling you, Paul, and he took the bait.
- 1:49:25Speaker 5: Well that's what I do.
- 1:49:26Speaker 7: I take a point in the radio saying keep Bill
- 1:49:28Speaker 7: away from kayleb Williams anywhere.
- 1:49:30Speaker 4: You know, what's the number on this is? Like at
- 1:49:32Speaker 4: the end, six and a half.
- 1:49:34Speaker 5: Yeah, I'll take bucks both ways. What Baker bake? One o'clock,
- 1:49:39Speaker 5: CBS two and ten. Jaguars are at the three and
- 1:49:43Speaker 5: nine Titans.
- 1:49:44Speaker 6: Everyone's watching this game.
- 1:49:45Speaker 22: Mac Joe lining up Tennessee by three and a half.
- 1:49:50Speaker 22: Two bad teams wait to get or pick. Yet Patriots
- 1:49:53Speaker 22: lost both of them. I'm gonna take I'm just gonna
- 1:49:56Speaker 22: go Tennessee at home.
- 1:49:57Speaker 7: I can't. I can't roll with Mac in this one.
- 1:49:59Speaker 7: I'll go with Will Levis and his group. I'll lay
- 1:50:02Speaker 7: the points.
- 1:50:04Speaker 3: Yep, same small spread too, so makes it easy.
- 1:50:08Speaker 21: Tennessee Tennessee.
- 1:50:11Speaker 6: Yeah, I'm gonna do the same. I actually think Levis
- 1:50:14Speaker 6: has been not terrible at times this year, and I
- 1:50:17Speaker 6: find them an interesting team in the draft because there's
- 1:50:20Speaker 6: not any great, great quarterbacks in this draft. So if
- 1:50:23Speaker 6: you're Tennessee, do you just roll one more year with
- 1:50:25Speaker 6: Will Levis?
- 1:50:26Speaker 2: Like?
- 1:50:26Speaker 6: What are Are they a quarterback team?
- 1:50:28Speaker 5: Are they not?
- 1:50:29Speaker 6: I'm interested to see in that both ways. I'll go
- 1:50:31Speaker 6: Titans both ways in this one.
- 1:50:34Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm going to take Tennessee to win, but I
- 1:50:38Speaker 4: like to take that half point. I like the hook.
- 1:50:40Speaker 4: I'll take Jacksonville to lose by a field goal.
- 1:50:43Speaker 5: Did you happen to what listen to one of your
- 1:50:45Speaker 5: shows this morning? When the guy called up and scolded
- 1:50:48Speaker 5: Hardy about Will Levis and saying his stats are exactly
- 1:50:51Speaker 5: the same as Drake May It was Freddie was yelling
- 1:50:54Speaker 5: your homework for once.
- 1:50:55Speaker 6: Yeah, I was not even They're not even close.
- 1:50:58Speaker 4: Yeah, so their stats are very close though the guy
- 1:51:01Speaker 4: was just going by numbers which.
- 1:51:02Speaker 6: They there box scurse stats.
- 1:51:07Speaker 5: This is a raw rock game for the Jacksonville Jaguars.
- 1:51:10Speaker 5: Win one for Trevor. So they cover this one? They
- 1:51:13Speaker 5: don't they cover? Uh? Now this week we're gonna totally
- 1:51:19Speaker 5: skip over the Patriots until next week. Okay, so we
- 1:51:23Speaker 5: moved to four oh five CBS. The seven and five
- 1:51:26Speaker 5: Seahawks are at the six and six Cardinals.
- 1:51:31Speaker 4: Cardinals might be looking ahead to next week's a.
- 1:51:33Speaker 6: Good point yep, not a divisional game that they need
- 1:51:36Speaker 6: to win.
- 1:51:36Speaker 4: No Cardinals by two and a half.
- 1:51:39Speaker 7: Oh man, this is tough because I like Seattle. I
- 1:51:42Speaker 7: just feel like Arizona always seems to fade down the
- 1:51:45Speaker 7: end of the stretch.
- 1:51:46Speaker 4: Yeah, you know what I'm gonna do it.
- 1:51:47Speaker 7: I'm gonna go with Seattle in the upset of Kyler
- 1:51:50Speaker 7: and his team.
- 1:51:54Speaker 3: I say Cardinals went at home, but I close game,
- 1:51:58Speaker 3: maybe Seahawks cover.
- 1:52:00Speaker 21: Maybe like a one point game.
- 1:52:03Speaker 4: Last time she did that, she nailed it.
- 1:52:05Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 1:52:05Speaker 3: And then a Twitter user called me out and was
- 1:52:07Speaker 3: blaming me for the loss.
- 1:52:08Speaker 6: But I'll wear that you were right though. This is
- 1:52:12Speaker 6: a weird one of those weird ones where these two
- 1:52:14Speaker 6: teams just played two weeks ago and the Seahawks won
- 1:52:17Speaker 6: that game pretty handily. I would say, shut down the
- 1:52:21Speaker 6: Cardinals offense. So I'm gonna go Seattle again in this
- 1:52:24Speaker 6: game to win. I just think they're a little bit
- 1:52:27Speaker 6: better of a team right now. But some some advanced scouting.
- 1:52:31Speaker 6: Yeah for for us on Sunday with this game.
- 1:52:33Speaker 4: So I'll take your word for it on Tuesday. You
- 1:52:36Speaker 4: can let me know. Yeah, I'm gonna take Arizona to
- 1:52:39Speaker 4: win the game both ways.
- 1:52:40Speaker 5: Yeah, me too. I'm gonna take Arizona to win this game.
- 1:52:44Speaker 5: Four on Fox ten and two Bills against the six
- 1:52:49Speaker 5: and six Rams.
- 1:52:50Speaker 4: Did you just open the window a little bit?
- 1:52:52Speaker 5: Well? I kept it steady. Wow, neither opening nor closing.
- 1:52:57Speaker 4: That's big around. That's coming around Buffalo by four on
- 1:53:02Speaker 4: the road, correct, like be like it'll be like, yeah,
- 1:53:06Speaker 4: it'll be all Bills fans.
- 1:53:08Speaker 7: Yeah, that's a pretty good game here in the afternoon.
- 1:53:11Speaker 4: We'll get you in your houses to get.
- 1:53:14Speaker 7: Uh you know, I'm really tell I'm gonna go. I'm
- 1:53:16Speaker 7: gonna go with Buffalo. I'm gonna go Buffalo on the road.
- 1:53:18Speaker 7: I think Rams are tough though. I think they got
- 1:53:19Speaker 7: a good young defense and they'll make some plays. But
- 1:53:22Speaker 7: I'm gonna take Buffalo. I'll lay the four.
- 1:53:23Speaker 21: Points Buffalo, Buffalo.
- 1:53:27Speaker 6: Yeah, I'm taking Buffalo both ways to h The Bills
- 1:53:31Speaker 6: offense right now is an unstoppable force, uh doing it
- 1:53:35Speaker 6: every which way, and Josh Allen making that case m
- 1:53:40Speaker 6: VP of the league.
- 1:53:41Speaker 4: I'm gonna take Buffalo to win. Kind of similar to
- 1:53:45Speaker 4: the uh, the Philadelphia thing. I think a little bit
- 1:53:48Speaker 4: of a letdown, you know, Sunday night game, snow San Francisco,
- 1:53:52Speaker 4: a lot of emotion. They think they have a little letdown,
- 1:53:54Speaker 4: So I'm going to take the Rams to cover.
- 1:53:56Speaker 5: I think the opposite Paul. I think they come out
- 1:53:59Speaker 5: cruising and never let the foot off the gas. Bills
- 1:54:04Speaker 5: have an easy time in l A against the They're
- 1:54:07Speaker 5: having fun.
- 1:54:08Speaker 6: They've scored thirty plus and six straight games.
- 1:54:10Speaker 5: They're having it.
- 1:54:11Speaker 6: Can stop.
- 1:54:12Speaker 5: Football is easy for them right now.
- 1:54:14Speaker 4: It reminds me of a team they threw a pass
- 1:54:18Speaker 4: and then the quarterback ran behind the guys and they
- 1:54:21Speaker 4: flipped it right.
- 1:54:22Speaker 5: It's right, It's it's coming easier it's a little I
- 1:54:26Speaker 5: was one of the silliest that says they can't. They
- 1:54:28Speaker 5: cannot win the Super Bowl. It would go against the
- 1:54:31Speaker 5: laws of nature. So all right, four on Fox, the
- 1:54:36Speaker 5: four and eight Bears are at the five and seven
- 1:54:38Speaker 5: forty nine Ers Niners by four. They need to win.
- 1:54:44Speaker 7: Uh yeah, I gotta go San Francisco at home. I'll
- 1:54:48Speaker 7: lay the four.
- 1:54:51Speaker 3: I'll take the Niners both ways to bounce a little
- 1:54:54Speaker 3: bit of a bounce back, but I don't know.
- 1:54:56Speaker 5: Yeah, it's a tough one.
- 1:54:58Speaker 6: Yeah, I'll take the Niners both ways too. And you know,
- 1:55:01Speaker 6: this is my boy, Kyle's had a rough rough season.
- 1:55:03Speaker 6: I feel bad for me. Looks MOPy. I want to
- 1:55:06Speaker 6: give him a huge.
- 1:55:07Speaker 4: So not getting the job done. I'm gonna take the
- 1:55:09Speaker 4: Niners both ways as well. It's more of an anti
- 1:55:11Speaker 4: Chicago pick. I think it's kind of messy there. Yeah,
- 1:55:15Speaker 4: but I'll take the Niners.
- 1:55:16Speaker 5: Yeah, I would. I'm gonna take the Niners. Well. Obviously
- 1:55:18Speaker 5: seem sees out, but that other running back they have
- 1:55:21Speaker 5: is pretty good, so I think they they're able to
- 1:55:24Speaker 5: beat the Bears eight twenty.
- 1:55:27Speaker 4: What I think the other guys out too, twenty four?
- 1:55:30Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah, Mason.
- 1:55:31Speaker 4: Yeah. Yeah, the undrafted guy or Grendo I think will
- 1:55:34Speaker 4: probably play.
- 1:55:34Speaker 6: But Grenda's not bad either. He's fast.
- 1:55:38Speaker 5: All right. Well, anyway, I'll stick with the forty nine Ers.
- 1:55:41Speaker 5: Eight twenty Sunday Night, NBC Universo Telexitos eight and four.
- 1:55:47Speaker 5: Chargers are at the eleven and one Chiefs game.
- 1:55:52Speaker 4: Kansas City by four.
- 1:55:54Speaker 7: There we go again, twelve. I know, I know I
- 1:55:59Speaker 7: am tempted to by that.
- 1:56:00Speaker 5: Here we go again. I know the home team's eleven
- 1:56:02Speaker 5: and one and they're up by four. Here we go again.
- 1:56:05Speaker 4: I know I was telling Paul, I knew he.
- 1:56:07Speaker 7: I mean he's playing the trends. I mean that the
- 1:56:09Speaker 7: Chargers don't cover and four makes it a little interesting.
- 1:56:12Speaker 7: I'm tempted with the Chargers, but I just think whether
- 1:56:16Speaker 7: at night on the road divisional game tough.
- 1:56:18Speaker 4: I am going to do it again.
- 1:56:19Speaker 7: I'm gonna ta Kansas City. I'm gonna lay the.
- 1:56:21Speaker 21: Points, four of them, the Chiefs to win the Chargers.
- 1:56:29Speaker 6: Come on now, I'm gonna do the same. I'm gonna
- 1:56:32Speaker 6: do the same thing. I feel the same way I
- 1:56:34Speaker 6: felt about the Chargers Ravens game. With this game, I
- 1:56:37Speaker 6: just don't think the Chargers are ready for the big dogs.
- 1:56:39Speaker 6: Like I feel like they're a good team, but not
- 1:56:41Speaker 6: a great team. But I do think that the Chiefs
- 1:56:43Speaker 6: are incapable of winning by more than like a field goal.
- 1:56:46Speaker 6: So I'm going to take uh the Chargers to cover.
- 1:56:50Speaker 4: Yeah, I want to do the same thing. I'll take
- 1:56:52Speaker 4: the Chiefs to win, but I will take the points.
- 1:56:54Speaker 4: I'll take the lack folks. I was thinking about it, Fred,
- 1:56:58Speaker 4: I thought about it.
- 1:57:00Speaker 5: This is your outright upset of the week. The Chargers
- 1:57:04Speaker 5: hand the Chiefs their second loss, and the Bills are
- 1:57:08Speaker 5: celebrating because they've got do they have?
- 1:57:11Speaker 4: They would they they would have the number one with
- 1:57:18Speaker 4: four games, so directly because this is the yeah, so
- 1:57:22Speaker 4: this they thought about it. I don't think it's a
- 1:57:24Speaker 4: bad Yeah.
- 1:57:25Speaker 5: The Chargers win this one, out right.
- 1:57:28Speaker 4: Chargers usually have a chance to win when they go
- 1:57:30Speaker 4: to Kansas, and I almost never do.
- 1:57:32Speaker 5: But they have a change, and I kind of believe
- 1:57:33Speaker 5: in Jim Harbaugh in these big games. I kind of
- 1:57:36Speaker 5: believe this is the missing link that the Chargers needed.
- 1:57:39Speaker 5: They needed that game plan motivation. So I think they
- 1:57:43Speaker 5: get up for this game.
- 1:57:45Speaker 4: Chiefs.
- 1:57:46Speaker 5: You know, Chiefs Kingdom will be loud. I get it.
- 1:57:48Speaker 5: But the Chargers, they play there many times.
- 1:57:52Speaker 6: That they're going to be freezing.
- 1:57:54Speaker 5: Is it going to be cold that day?
- 1:57:55Speaker 6: I'm sure you don't know.
- 1:57:57Speaker 5: I don't know.
- 1:57:57Speaker 6: Can be mild at night, it could be mine.
- 1:58:02Speaker 5: All right. So that's my outright upset of the week.
- 1:58:06Speaker 5: Monday Night on ESPN, ABC, ESPN two, ESPN Plus, ESPN
- 1:58:12Speaker 5: Deportes and Disney Plus. This week, they're really streaming this
- 1:58:17Speaker 5: one out there. Uh it's the foreign eight Bengals at
- 1:58:21Speaker 5: the five and seven Cowboys.
- 1:58:24Speaker 4: Surprised this one didn't get flexed.
- 1:58:26Speaker 5: Yeah, maybe a little bit.
- 1:58:27Speaker 4: But let's see Cincinnati by five and a half.
- 1:58:32Speaker 7: That's a nice number. The Yeah I'm gonna take Cincinnati
- 1:58:36Speaker 7: faux show, and yeah I'm gonna lay the points to
- 1:58:39Speaker 7: on the road.
- 1:58:40Speaker 5: Well, just a quick question, when you found out last
- 1:58:43Speaker 5: night or was it last night that the Bruins game
- 1:58:45Speaker 5: was on ESPN Plus where you disgusted as two nights ago.
- 1:58:48Speaker 4: Two nights ago, I would have had to have found
- 1:58:51Speaker 4: out that the game was on ESPN Plus that night.
- 1:58:53Speaker 4: I didn't know. I'm kind of checked out on the Bruins,
- 1:58:55Speaker 4: So I don't.
- 1:58:56Speaker 6: Think they they're playing better hockey. Yeah.
- 1:58:58Speaker 4: See, I don't really think that they're winning games. I
- 1:59:00Speaker 4: don't really think that Joe Sakamano he's got them playing Joe.
- 1:59:03Speaker 4: I played against him in high school.
- 1:59:04Speaker 6: Did you hockey six and two with the Saco.
- 1:59:07Speaker 4: Yeah, he's definitely winning games. But I just ironically the
- 1:59:11Speaker 4: best game I thought they played they lost the Vancouver game.
- 1:59:14Speaker 4: So again they generated any offense.
- 1:59:16Speaker 6: No, all right, scored four goals last night.
- 1:59:19Speaker 4: Yeah, get Chicago. What do you got there, Mike?
- 1:59:21Speaker 21: Oh no, sorry, Bingles points that.
- 1:59:26Speaker 4: Okay, you can get back and enjoy that spat day.
- 1:59:34Speaker 21: I wish.
- 1:59:34Speaker 5: Yeah, take care of yourself, Alex.
- 1:59:37Speaker 6: Make sure all your all your radiators and stuff. One
- 1:59:41Speaker 6: of the things where you cover the snow and then
- 1:59:42Speaker 6: you get the carbon monoxide situation. Yeah.
- 1:59:45Speaker 21: Yeah, Evan knows about car met Yeah.
- 1:59:50Speaker 6: There you go, he knows car I know cars is
- 1:59:51Speaker 6: the one thing I do know, not lawnmowers. But I'm
- 1:59:55Speaker 6: going to take I'll take Cincinnati in this game. Both ways.
- 2:00:00Speaker 6: I think it's funny that the league won't flex Jerry
- 2:00:03Speaker 6: off of Monday Night Football.
- 2:00:05Speaker 5: Well, it goes back to why I hate the Cowboys.
- 2:00:07Speaker 5: It's going to get good ratings. Their fans. Yeah, you know,
- 2:00:10Speaker 5: they could be oh to.
- 2:00:11Speaker 4: Twelve probably right. That's probably why they didn't flex it, right,
- 2:00:18Speaker 4: because they know they're going to do well anyway. I
- 2:00:21Speaker 4: will take the Bengals both ways. Also, I feel like
- 2:00:23Speaker 4: Dallas is kind of they don't have much left.
- 2:00:28Speaker 5: Yeah, so what do I do with two hated teams?
- 2:00:30Speaker 5: Who do I pick?
- 2:00:31Speaker 4: Paul, You'll pick Dallas.
- 2:00:33Speaker 5: No, I'm picking the Bengals.
- 2:00:36Speaker 4: The year that the incident happened. This has to be
- 2:00:40Speaker 4: the first time since since that is.
- 2:00:42Speaker 5: No, I think I picked them this year. Actually, CA's
- 2:00:44Speaker 5: the Patriots. No, no, no, I pick no. No, I
- 2:00:48Speaker 5: picked the Patriots that game. No I did. I think
- 2:00:50Speaker 5: I did pick you Bengals outright, because Burrow said he's
- 2:00:55Speaker 5: going to buy them. He's already bought the Batmobile, he
- 2:00:57Speaker 5: wants to buy the it's going to be here in
- 2:00:59Speaker 5: a year.
- 2:01:00Speaker 7: Higgins said he would wear the suit tea club.
- 2:01:02Speaker 5: So because of that, I think the Bengals beat the Cowboys. Okay, okay,
