- 0:00Good morning, happy Tuesday to you.
- 0:01It is Tuesday, right?
- 0:03Yep, it is.
- 0:04Latest news, US is bombing the crap out
- 0:06of Garg Island.
- 0:07Yippee skippy for them.
- 0:08Oh boy, now we got it going on,
- 0:11right?
- 0:12Means victory.
- 0:13I'm Samuel Trapp.
- 0:14This is International Flavor.
- 0:16It doesn't mean victory, by the way, just,
- 0:18you know, so those of you who don't
- 0:20know me, facetious is my name.
- 0:23Coming to you live from the Lake Ozark
- 0:25real estate of the art studio, listening to
- 0:27us live at damn radio.com forward slash
- 0:31live, checking out the schedule at damn radio
- 0:36.com forward slash schedule.
- 0:39And if you wish to hear the podcasts,
- 0:41guess what you do?
- 0:42You go to damn radio.com forward slash
- 0:45podcast and you can hear all of the
- 0:47wonderful people that speak on this program or
- 0:50damn radio.
- 0:52Anyway, this here station in their entirety, anytime
- 0:56you feel like it.
- 0:58Now, if you're discriminating and you only like
- 1:01me now, why would you do that?
- 1:03You have to like everyone equally.
- 1:05You know, I had a drill sergeant, you
- 1:07know, he said, he said, he said, I
- 1:10don't discriminate against any of you.
- 1:13I hate every one of you equally only
- 1:16instead of every one of you throw in
- 1:18your favorite swear word there.
- 1:21Mofo would, are you allowed to say that
- 1:23on the air?
- 1:23Mofo?
- 1:24He was a mofo.
- 1:27Well, um, you know, I hate all you
- 1:29mofos equally, right?
- 1:31We don't discriminate.
- 1:32Um, I'm actually going to play a little
- 1:34beat of music for you this morning as
- 1:38well, just because I heard part of it
- 1:40on the way.
- 1:41And what if I want to hear it
- 1:42myself?
- 1:44It's a great song.
- 1:45I like it.
- 1:46So I'm going to play it.
- 1:47And then, uh, I've got some, some discussion
- 1:51points for you.
- 1:52It was a really nice, uh, evening last
- 1:53night.
- 1:54I attended, uh, Nadine's candidate forum.
- 1:57That was, uh, enlightening.
- 1:59Um, saw some old acquaintances, people that I've
- 2:03known for a long time, uh, get to
- 2:06see where they're going in life, met some
- 2:09of the candidates, heard some of the things
- 2:11that were going on.
- 2:13And I found it interesting.
- 2:16I found it enlightening.
- 2:19And, uh, you know, I think we should
- 2:21do some more of that.
- 2:22The, I'm gonna, I may invite, um, someone
- 2:27on my program.
- 2:28You know what I got to thinking?
- 2:30I got to thinking that doing, and I
- 2:34don't think they've done it yet.
- 2:36I remember there was some talk years ago
- 2:38about this, but, you have to, you have
- 2:41to equally.
- 2:44So if you own a radio station, a
- 2:46TV station, you have to equally provide opportunities
- 2:51for various points of view, which is ridiculous
- 2:55in today's world because the horror story points
- 2:59of view are coming from the stations themselves,
- 3:02but it's the horror story.
- 3:05You know, you'd only invite the idiots that
- 3:07you like on and the idiots that you
- 3:10don't like you leave out.
- 3:12And so, uh, they may have either relaxed
- 3:16them, but it used to be during elections,
- 3:18every candidate had to have an equal sort
- 3:20of, uh, opportunity to present his opinion to
- 3:25the public.
- 3:26You know, there used to be some kind
- 3:28of a, uh, uh, rule that said you
- 3:32couldn't just, you know, I want Sam to
- 3:35be the, you know, God emperor of the
- 3:38planet.
- 3:38And so therefore the next time the God
- 3:40emperor of the planet position is open, I'm
- 3:44only going to invite Sam on.
- 3:47I'm not going to invite the other candidates.
- 3:49They wouldn't win anyway.
- 3:51And so I'm only going to invite Sam.
- 3:56Um, allegedly the government was going to look
- 3:58out for us and make sure that, uh,
- 4:02that such tilting of opinion did not occur
- 4:07that you couldn't just put on the person
- 4:10you wanted to win as the candidate.
- 4:12Now, I think all that crap went out
- 4:14the window with, uh, uh, YouTube podcasts, all
- 4:22that stuff, you know, they don't, they don't
- 4:23wreck it, regulate what you do in your
- 4:25own home with your, with your, you know,
- 4:2815,000 listeners from Russia, you know, that's
- 4:32not what they do.
- 4:33And, uh, or no, they don't care.
- 4:35Cause your listeners going to be coming from
- 4:37all over the place.
- 4:38It's, it's actually just an opinion, a point
- 4:40of view.
- 4:40And I don't know, I haven't kept track
- 4:42of that, that, that law, uh, or those
- 4:45laws, uh, because if, you know, if there's
- 4:47one law, that's good by God, 500 of
- 4:50them would be far better, right?
- 4:51More law, more.
- 4:54At any rate, uh, I, I think that
- 4:58the forum last night was pretty interesting.
- 5:01Two judges.
- 5:02I happen to know them both, uh, people
- 5:05running for judge anyway.
- 5:07Cause John Colton Brown, who also knew is,
- 5:10uh, uh, what do you call it?
- 5:13Retiring.
- 5:14And, uh, he was good.
- 5:15I did.
- 5:15I didn't practice in front of him that
- 5:17much.
- 5:17I've been fricking gone for so long that
- 5:20I didn't practice in front of him, but
- 5:21I knew him, knew him pretty well.
- 5:22Like, uh, like Colton Brown, I always said,
- 5:24he's a good dude.
- 5:25And, uh, uh, the, the, you know, if
- 5:31he's retiring, wonder if he's going back into
- 5:33private practice.
- 5:34Uh, but what I was talking to, cause
- 5:36there were several lawyers in there and, uh,
- 5:38Kevin Shelton, uh, actually was in the same
- 5:41building as me twice, uh, rented space from
- 5:44me down on the strip when, uh, uh,
- 5:47I had a, a law firm down there
- 5:49on the strip down in that remember, uh,
- 5:52beavers at the dam down there.
- 5:54And I was one of the owners in
- 5:56that.
- 5:56And then when we got bought out, I
- 5:58had rented the building next door to be
- 6:02from some guy in St. Louis, really good
- 6:04guy.
- 6:04Um, he, um, rented, I rented that building
- 6:09and I put my ice shop in there.
- 6:11Cause I owned Zesto's up in Jeff city.
- 6:12And then, uh, I tried to open it
- 6:15down here.
- 6:15And, uh, uh, that's right when they started
- 6:18targeting me for destruction from, uh, uh, Sam
- 6:23Phillips and company at the OCDC tar started
- 6:26attacking me and, uh, uh, it was right
- 6:30around that time.
- 6:31And before that, uh, Shelton was opening a,
- 6:35uh, zipline place.
- 6:38And, uh, you know, he looks good.
- 6:40Been here a long time.
- 6:41You know, the interlopers are people like me,
- 6:44but, uh, either one of those, you know,
- 6:46are, are, are longterm, uh, long time employees.
- 6:51And I always remember at the lake, aside
- 6:54from a few horror stories that are very,
- 7:01and you know, who they are yourselves without,
- 7:04without me mentioning it, but the lake, there's
- 7:07a couple of, uh, you know, the glorious
- 7:09who are far better than anybody else, uh,
- 7:13that are practicing the lawn that, uh, uh,
- 7:15I frankly believe participated in, in, uh, helping
- 7:20the bar go after me.
- 7:21Um, but you know, I don't have proof
- 7:23for that, but everybody, everybody knows the, the
- 7:26names of who you're supposed to, uh, uh,
- 7:30you know, honor gloriously at the lake.
- 7:33And, uh, but in general at the lake,
- 7:35they're really, really good and very interesting and
- 7:39decent lawyers.
- 7:41Um, they never got that.
- 7:42I can't tell you how many times that
- 7:44people would come into my office to, uh,
- 7:48hire me or they're looking for an attorney,
- 7:51whether it's me or somebody else.
- 7:53And, uh, and one of the things that
- 7:54people do is they, especially in like divorce
- 7:57or something like that is they go and
- 8:00shop around to 10 different lawyers so that
- 8:03they can make sure the most they, and
- 8:07basically they hit up on the most expensive
- 8:09ones.
- 8:09You know, they go down the line and
- 8:11they get their free consult that they don't
- 8:14have to pay for, and then don't retain
- 8:16the attorney.
- 8:18And, uh, that way they can, uh, exclude
- 8:21their spouse or significant other from using that
- 8:25attorney because lawyers don't screw with a conflict.
- 8:30And so there were, excuse me, there were
- 8:34many people, uh, you know, that understood that
- 8:37rule or did that rule and they would
- 8:39just come and meet with you.
- 8:40So a lot of lawyers quit charging free,
- 8:45uh, or quit giving free, um, consultations because
- 8:49of that.
- 8:49And they would charge for an hour of
- 8:52their time.
- 8:53Uh, what I started doing and I thought,
- 8:55and this is kind of what we do
- 8:57with, um, civic outlaws.
- 8:59We, we put these together for law firms.
- 9:02So we have lawyers.
- 9:04Uh, so I'm involved in two projects.
- 9:08One is civic outlaws.
- 9:09Well, I'm involved in actually several projects in,
- 9:11and I sell real estate in Missouri and
- 9:13in Florida, but you know, I rarely do,
- 9:16gotta tell you.
- 9:17But, um, the, um, uh, fact is that
- 9:21I'm part of civic outlaws and we do
- 9:23that on Friday, right?
- 9:25And Fridays is, uh, you know, coming, coming
- 9:27up this Friday, I want to talk a
- 9:29little bit about, uh, the candidate forum, a
- 9:31little bit about some discussions I had with
- 9:34some people about, uh, what is going on
- 9:36and how the people in the legislature do
- 9:38not know what is going on.
- 9:41And that is freaking scary.
- 9:43Okay.
- 9:44Um, over the last, however long I've been
- 9:48doing civic outlaws, I think I've only done
- 9:50like two months worth of episodes and you
- 9:52know, we're going to start doing them every
- 9:54Friday.
- 9:55Uh, it has become apparent to me and
- 10:00I understand it.
- 10:01I get it.
- 10:02Okay.
- 10:03And it came from some of the questions
- 10:04asked at this forum last night is so
- 10:07at the, at the forum last night, some
- 10:09of the questions were like, uh, you know,
- 10:12there were some decent questions and they had
- 10:13a standard set of pattern questions, uh, that
- 10:16Nadine was given to the, to the, uh,
- 10:19to the candidates that they would answer.
- 10:21And then, and then, uh, our fearless leader
- 10:24got up and, uh, and gave a, a,
- 10:27a question, um, based on, uh, constitutionality and
- 10:31what do you do if you're confronted with
- 10:33constitutionality in your job as a, uh, state
- 10:36rep and, and, how do I want to
- 10:40say this?
- 10:41I don't really intend to at all be
- 10:43condescending to anyone.
- 10:44Cause I don't, I'm never that way.
- 10:47Or I try hard not to be, it's
- 10:49just, you know, I'll never come into your
- 10:52car shop and that, you know, tell you
- 10:54how to fix a car because that's why
- 10:56my car is in such crap shape.
- 10:59You know, I can't, I gotta pay somebody
- 11:01thousands of bucks to fix it.
- 11:03But you, you, you get somebody who's familiar
- 11:05with what they're doing.
- 11:07Well, the practice of politics or getting into
- 11:11politics, this is why a lot of lawyers
- 11:14gravitate there because they're more likely to understand
- 11:17the systems, the limitations, the constitutionality.
- 11:22And they also don't want to sit around
- 11:24and argue about it all the time because
- 11:25there's some misconceptions about how it's supposed to
- 11:31work or nuances that maybe just aren't quite
- 11:34there.
- 11:35And so when you're hiring somebody like I'm
- 11:37hiring a, you know, I want somebody to
- 11:39be an administrative assistant slash paralegal, you know,
- 11:42I'm hiring somebody right now.
- 11:43We are hiring somebody for a civic outlaws
- 11:47and for a modern law ecosystem to work
- 11:51together with us and, you know, part full
- 11:55-time we haven't decided yet.
- 11:56And so if you know anybody out there,
- 11:58send me their name there.
- 11:59I've got a couple of them.
- 12:00I think it's great.
- 12:01And I hope that more people do this
- 12:02as be an easy way to hopefully find
- 12:05somebody.
- 12:05Anyway, when you're looking for somebody, you're looking
- 12:07for somebody that matches your hiring requirements.
- 12:13So I was an HR director for years
- 12:15too.
- 12:15And what you do is you put together
- 12:17like if I was trying to hire an
- 12:20engineer, okay, and I wanted to hire a
- 12:24particular engineer, you can't just hire an engineer.
- 12:26You might end up with a guy that
- 12:27runs the train.
- 12:28And you're not looking for a guy that
- 12:30runs a train.
- 12:31You're looking for a guy that, you know,
- 12:34I don't know, can build the bridge that
- 12:38the train crosses and would understand the physics.
- 12:41That is not me, never would be.
- 12:45Now, had I pursued, you know, some prior
- 12:49path in life, maybe so.
- 12:50I'm not saying I couldn't.
- 12:51I'm saying I don't.
- 12:53And so the difference with politics and what
- 12:56you see fairly often is people who are
- 12:59good people or people who are not good
- 13:03people.
- 13:04I know a couple of, you know, people
- 13:06that I know one in particular who stole
- 13:08from me.
- 13:09And I know another one who I paid
- 13:12for some shady activities with him.
- 13:15You know, he owed me a bunch of
- 13:17money for gambling when he left office.
- 13:21So there's colorful people in every walk of
- 13:24life.
- 13:25Okay.
- 13:26And they seem to gravitate toward there.
- 13:28So you have two types that want to
- 13:30run for office.
- 13:31You have those who want an easy cushy
- 13:32job.
- 13:34And you have those who think they can
- 13:36help somehow.
- 13:36They think they can put it together.
- 13:39But never is it, is he qualified or
- 13:42is he whatever?
- 13:43I mean, you might not even have opponents.
- 13:46And it happens all the time in county
- 13:48and in local.
- 13:49There aren't any opponents.
- 13:51You know, nobody wants to do the job.
- 13:54You're not getting enough candidates.
- 13:56And so that's a shame if it goes
- 13:58to the state level without opposition, in my
- 14:02opinion.
- 14:02Now, we had some healthy opposition at the
- 14:05state level yesterday and some obviously very nice
- 14:09people and very good candidates and very qualified.
- 14:13And nothing I'm about to say relates to
- 14:15any of them.
- 14:16But it's more the misconception of us as
- 14:19the people that are electing them.
- 14:21Or how do you make sure yourself that
- 14:24you are selecting someone that you would want?
- 14:27If you're going to go pick a brain,
- 14:29you know, if you need brain surgery, you're
- 14:31not going to go to your mechanic because
- 14:33he understands electrical wiring in your car.
- 14:37You're going to go to find somebody who
- 14:39understands the blood flow through the vessels of
- 14:42the brain.
- 14:43And the problem is none of those necessarily
- 14:47mean that you can be an administrator, an
- 14:53elector, somebody who's going to understand.
- 14:57I mean, everybody knows that if you get
- 15:01elected into the state house or if you
- 15:05go up to the U.S. house, you're
- 15:08going to learn procedure as you go.
- 15:10I mean, when you go to law school,
- 15:11they don't teach you anything.
- 15:13They teach you basically how to think.
- 15:16I'm not saying, but they don't teach you
- 15:17how to practice law.
- 15:18They don't have a frigging clue.
- 15:20They haven't been practicing law.
- 15:22Most of the professors are people who went
- 15:24straight from law school into teaching and they
- 15:28haven't practiced law.
- 15:29They don't have a clue.
- 15:30And so you have to learn how to
- 15:33become a lawyer.
- 15:35And there's a certain curve, I suppose you
- 15:39would call it, in becoming a legislator as
- 15:44well.
- 15:45So you could spend the first year and
- 15:47a half, two years figuring out what the
- 15:48hell's going on.
- 15:50And it's as and we as the electorate
- 15:54have to understand that these people are joining
- 15:57a large organization that's already slanted in the
- 16:01old dogs that are sitting there forever.
- 16:03You know, the old bull on the hill,
- 16:06you know, is sitting up there and now
- 16:07he's the leader of the house or the
- 16:11speaker of this or the committee chair of
- 16:16that or whatever.
- 16:17And you're just a new flunky trying to
- 16:19not look like an idiot in front of
- 16:21your new constituents.
- 16:24But the fact is, some of these people
- 16:27have never understood constitutionality, have never understood what
- 16:34it takes to make something constitutional or not
- 16:37constitutional.
- 16:38And more importantly, what the process is to
- 16:41determine it.
- 16:45And constitutionality isn't something you just pick up
- 16:48and say, I read the constitution and therefore
- 16:50I know what constitutionality is.
- 16:53Now there's some absolutes, you know, you at
- 16:56least in America, I have the right to
- 16:58bear arms.
- 16:59What does that mean?
- 16:59Well, trust me, that's been pared down over
- 17:02the centuries that we've been around.
- 17:06And, you know, I still am one of
- 17:09those people and I don't own weapons.
- 17:12You know, I was in the military.
- 17:13I know how to use them.
- 17:14And I really have considered several times in
- 17:17life getting one, but I'm not a big
- 17:19gun dude.
- 17:23I like the competition of it all, you
- 17:26know, as an expert with an M-16,
- 17:29as an expert with a 50 Cal out
- 17:33of a helicopter only once, you know, and
- 17:36I could do a grenade launcher with the
- 17:38best of them.
- 17:39But I wanted to go learn those things.
- 17:41So I had more badges hanging on my
- 17:43uniform.
- 17:45He can do this.
- 17:46He can do that.
- 17:47And I did it.
- 17:48I didn't do it.
- 17:49So I go kill people, you know?
- 17:51And anyway, the fact is, I believe that
- 17:55constitutionality is one of the, is one of
- 18:00the easier ones.
- 18:02Oh yeah.
- 18:02We have the right to bear arms.
- 18:03Okay.
- 18:04But what does that mean?
- 18:05How many weapons, how is it an automatic
- 18:07count?
- 18:08Did they intend to automate?
- 18:09Automatics didn't exist way back then.
- 18:12What do we know?
- 18:13Can I have a bazooka?
- 18:14Am I allowed to take that grenade launcher?
- 18:17And you know, after I get out of
- 18:19the military and have it leaning against my
- 18:21bed.
- 18:22So, you know, in case the government comes
- 18:25hiking in, am I allowed to park a
- 18:29tank out in my front yard if I
- 18:31want?
- 18:32You know, why can't I have my own
- 18:34army?
- 18:35I'm just going to build my own army.
- 18:37And so if I can have a weapon,
- 18:39you know, they arrested one of the charges
- 18:42for Maduro, by the way, on that topic.
- 18:44And I realized I'm straying, but one of
- 18:47the, one of the charges for Maduro is
- 18:49possession of a machine gun, possession of a
- 18:54machine gun.
- 18:54What'd they do?
- 18:55Throw it in his lap when he came
- 18:57to America.
- 18:57It's like, Hey, you're on this plane here
- 19:00and we got to find something to charge
- 19:01you with.
- 19:01So why don't we throw this machine gun
- 19:04at you?
- 19:05Maybe your wife's got one too hidden in
- 19:07her bodice there.
- 19:09Toss her a AK-47 and say, you
- 19:13know, you jerks, you got that from the
- 19:16Russian side of the planet.
- 19:17That's even worse.
- 19:18Not only is it a machine gun, it's
- 19:20a machine gun you didn't buy from us.
- 19:23But it's actually one of the military guys
- 19:26just threw it in their lap and that's
- 19:28the way it works.
- 19:29Well, anyway, that's that constitutionality of having, I
- 19:34mean, what's the constitutionality of arresting a foreign
- 19:37leader?
- 19:38I mean, seriously, let's say China comes in
- 19:40and arrests Donald Trump, drags him to some
- 19:43prison in China.
- 19:47Silence.
- 19:48Hmm.
- 19:49Well, at least think about that.
- 19:51I mean, just go arresting the leader of
- 19:54another country.
- 19:55Where's the constitution on that?
- 19:58Yeah.
- 19:59Oh, we're protecting America.
- 20:01Really?
- 20:01Protecting America by stealing other people's resources.
- 20:05That's it.
- 20:06It's, uh, you know, you'd be good at
- 20:08the game of, uh, of risk, you know,
- 20:11just roll those dice and take your chances.
- 20:13Um, at any rate, I digress.
- 20:17I wanted to play this song for you
- 20:18anyway.
- 20:19So I think I'm going to take this
- 20:21opportunity even now to take a break.
- 20:24And I like this song and it is,
- 20:27um, where'd it go?
- 20:30Oh, let's make sure we have it.
- 20:32Right.
- 20:32Ready?
- 20:35All righty.
- 20:55All goods to me, traveling shoes, drive your
- 21:00problems from here.
- 21:03All good people read good books.
- 21:07Now your conscience is clear.
- 21:10I hear you talk, girl.
- 21:12Now your conscience is clear.
- 21:15In the morning when I wipe my brow,
- 21:20wipe the miles away.
- 21:24I like to think I can be so
- 21:27willed and never do what you say.
- 21:31I'll never hear you and never do what
- 21:34you say.
- 21:37Look, my eyes are just holograms.
- 21:42Look, your love has drawn me from my
- 21:45hands, from my hands.
- 21:47And though you'll never be more than twist
- 21:52in my sobriety, more than twist in my
- 21:56sobriety.
- 22:06We just picked a little empty pie for
- 22:11the fun that people had at night.
- 22:14Late at night don't need hostility.
- 22:18Timid smile and pause to free.
- 22:23I don't care about their different thoughts.
- 22:27Different thoughts are good for me.
- 22:31Up in arms and chasing hope.
- 22:36All good children took their toll.
- 22:40Look, my eyes are just holograms.
- 22:45Look, your love has drawn me from my
- 22:48hands, from my hands.
- 22:50And though you'll never be more than twist
- 22:54in my sobriety, more than twist in my
- 22:59sobriety.
- 23:17Cup of tea, take time to think.
- 23:21Yeah, time to risk a life, a life,
- 23:25a life.
- 23:26Sweet and handsome, soft and pokey.
- 23:30You're big until you've seen the light.
- 23:34Big until you've seen the light.
- 23:36Look, my eyes are just holograms.
- 23:43Look, your love has drawn red from my
- 23:46hands, from my hands.
- 23:49And though you'll never be more than twist
- 23:53in my sobriety, more than twist in my
- 23:58sobriety.
- 24:29Friends and Neighbors was Tanita Takaram from Twist
- 24:38in My Sobriety.
- 24:41And that actually came out in like the
- 24:44late 80s when I first heard it.
- 24:47What was that album?
- 24:48I think I found it.
- 24:51I, you know, did my traveling.
- 24:54Everybody's got traveling shoes.
- 24:58Oh, look what else is playing.
- 24:59Oh, we got to hear this.
- 25:01Just because.
- 25:01Ready?
- 25:03No, that's not it.
- 25:06Thought we were going to hear some Clint
- 25:08Eastwood from Good to Bad and the Ugly.
- 25:12But we did not.
- 25:13And that came from a 1988 debut album
- 25:18called Ancient Hearts.
- 25:20Do you remember that?
- 25:21The album cover was pretty interesting.
- 25:24And so at any rate, that is not
- 25:25what I wish to talk about.
- 25:26I wanted to finish my thought process on
- 25:30constitutionality and understanding it, because when you hire
- 25:33somebody into a new position, you know, as
- 25:37an HR director, you want to go in
- 25:39and get everybody's requirements.
- 25:41What are your requirements?
- 25:42What do you need?
- 25:43I need an engineer.
- 25:44Well, OK, what kind of engineer?
- 25:46I need a guy that understands, I don't
- 25:48know, the process of chemical vapor deposition with
- 25:52hydrogen carbide on graphite.
- 25:58And they use these to stretch crystal to
- 26:03turn it into a silicon chip.
- 26:06And so this.
- 26:08Tube has to be made of graphite because
- 26:11graphite, despite being black, is one of the
- 26:15most, in fact, the most pure form of
- 26:18carbon on the planet.
- 26:21And so this is a very pure substance.
- 26:23You're not going to get any germs.
- 26:25You're not going to destroy anything.
- 26:26And if you coat it with silicon carbide,
- 26:28then you can create a chamber where you
- 26:30can grow this crystal that was silicon that
- 26:33we're going to slice into wafers and we're
- 26:35going to put in computers.
- 26:36OK, and that process is extremely expensive.
- 26:40And so we need somebody who understands that.
- 26:42Where the hell are you going to find
- 26:43it?
- 26:44Where are you going to find that guy?
- 26:46Would you want I mean, you have to
- 26:47find somebody.
- 26:48Well, such is not true.
- 26:50Such is absolutely not true.
- 26:53If Samuel Trapp or Joe Blow wants to
- 26:57be a an elected official, what you need
- 27:01there is popularity.
- 27:04Do you remember Mitch McConnell's book when it
- 27:07came out and he's running around doing what
- 27:14do you call it?
- 27:14All these guys go write a book, right?
- 27:16They all go write a book and talk
- 27:18about how, oh, geez, look how wonderful I
- 27:20am.
- 27:20I'm Mitch McConnell and I've been wonderful ever
- 27:23since high school.
- 27:24And what do you know what he did
- 27:25in high school?
- 27:25So here he was in high school.
- 27:27He's a senior and he decides that he
- 27:31wants to be class president.
- 27:32He's joking around with some buddies and some
- 27:34friends and his dad and his dad goes,
- 27:37you'll be class president.
- 27:39And you know, yeah, his dad taught him
- 27:40a valuable lesson.
- 27:41His dad had a party at the house,
- 27:43invited everybody over for pizza, bought out, you
- 27:46know, bought them.
- 27:48And this is how politics worked.
- 27:51If you're Mitch McConnell, he got elected.
- 27:54Well, he learned a valuable lesson right there.
- 27:56Pizza gets you votes and promises get you
- 28:01votes.
- 28:02And that guy's been, you know, he might
- 28:04have had good intentions in the beginning.
- 28:07Once you become a fixture, you no longer
- 28:10have good intentions.
- 28:11You're acting on your own behalf.
- 28:13And that's that.
- 28:14And the biggest thing, I think it should
- 28:17be term limits.
- 28:21You know, in Missouri, we have them and
- 28:23I think they're too long here even, you
- 28:25know, because you still have the old bull
- 28:27and the young bull or forget it.
- 28:29Just let the administrative bureaucrat run the show
- 28:32because they try to anyway.
- 28:34And the point of asking a person whether
- 28:37or not, you know, what will you do
- 28:41if it's purely hypothetical anyway, and it's to
- 28:45use for gotchas the next time around when
- 28:48you find out that they really didn't support,
- 28:50you know, whatever project it is for you.
- 28:53And I still had a hard time keeping
- 28:55my mouth shut during this event last night,
- 29:00which I'm very glad it went on.
- 29:01It was really cool.
- 29:03And I'm glad I did it.
- 29:05And I've done them before.
- 29:07I mean, obviously, it's not the first time
- 29:09I've done something like that, but I might
- 29:14do some more.
- 29:15I like them.
- 29:15And I like listening to what people have
- 29:18to say, but I also take it with
- 29:21a grain of salt because, you know, hypotheticals,
- 29:24gee, Sam, what would you do if somebody
- 29:25dropped a million bucks in your lap?
- 29:27Well, I'd figure out how to hide the
- 29:31taxes.
- 29:33First, get a million dollars.
- 29:35And then two words in the English language.
- 29:38I forgot.
- 29:40I forgot that paying taxes was or not
- 29:43paying your taxes was against the law.
- 29:46And that's me.
- 29:47So I have the bag of cash that
- 29:49you could just take my bag of cash
- 29:50when I find the million dollars hidden in
- 29:53a bunker somewhere under somebody's house that I
- 29:56just happened to slip into.
- 29:58And I find this unguarded bag of a
- 30:01million bucks.
- 30:02First of all, you don't want to pay
- 30:03taxes on that.
- 30:04You just want to wander away and take
- 30:06your bag.
- 30:07But it's all hypothetical, because the fact is,
- 30:09I've never found a bag with a million
- 30:11bucks in someone else's basement or not.
- 30:15If it came up, it'd be different.
- 30:17How come I'm not the guy winning the
- 30:19lottery?
- 30:19I always said that if I go to
- 30:21win the lottery and make my millions in
- 30:25the lottery, like many of us, that's our
- 30:28retirement plan.
- 30:29And you say, my retirement plan is I'm
- 30:31going to win the lottery.
- 30:32We're going to make it.
- 30:33And I would not win that lottery.
- 30:37But the one where you get dropped in
- 30:40the ocean and the one in a billion
- 30:44that gets eaten by a shark, well, that
- 30:48one, I'd rise to the top of the
- 30:50list.
- 30:50So this we understand.
- 30:52That's all facetious, by the way.
- 30:55And so I advise everybody to get to
- 30:58know their candidates, to get to know what
- 30:59the issues are.
- 31:01My issues are a little bit different than
- 31:03anybody else's issues.
- 31:05I'm very much interested.
- 31:08So I wanted to get up.
- 31:09Ike was there for the Senate position.
- 31:14And I'm glad he's running.
- 31:16I'm glad Ike's running.
- 31:17I like Ike.
- 31:18But I don't dislike any of the other
- 31:20two.
- 31:21And I'm still registered in Florida anyway.
- 31:24But I may register here.
- 31:26I haven't decided yet.
- 31:28But so far, I still think of Florida
- 31:30as the residents because I hate Missouri tax.
- 31:34And I have a place down there.
- 31:35I don't pay this tax.
- 31:38And what the hell was that?
- 31:40And it's I have disagreements, you know, and
- 31:43I have a history here in Missouri.
- 31:47I strongly object to the way their legal
- 31:50system is structured here.
- 31:51So at any rate, my what do you
- 31:55call it?
- 31:55Focus is a little bit different.
- 31:56But when I stood up, I want to
- 31:58jump up and go, hey, man, what are
- 32:00you going to do about those assholes to
- 32:02put the cameras up in your county?
- 32:05You're going to you're going to take care
- 32:07of that.
- 32:07I hope you do because these guys are
- 32:09pricks and they've been doing this.
- 32:11This is wrong what they did to him
- 32:14and what they did to Ike is just
- 32:16downright wrong.
- 32:17OK, and targeting him.
- 32:20That's you know, you know, I hate targeting
- 32:23and prosecutors also as witnesses and then soliciting
- 32:29the police to go attack another elected official.
- 32:32That is BS.
- 32:34And those people, you know, shouldn't be honored.
- 32:38They should be ostracized.
- 32:40That's what I say.
- 32:42And that is, you know.
- 32:45You're still people.
- 32:46Great.
- 32:47But you shouldn't be in that position.
- 32:48And it's not like dislike.
- 32:51It's nothing for me.
- 32:52That's a right or wrong event.
- 32:54You know, just like, you know, some lone
- 32:58OCDC dude who dislikes another one, another lawyer
- 33:03and goes after that guy targets him because
- 33:07he won't have help him go after another
- 33:09lawyer.
- 33:10That's that's BS, too.
- 33:12But that is the nature of bureaucracy and
- 33:15of government.
- 33:15You can't always control it.
- 33:17And so recycling.
- 33:22People and candidates into the government is about
- 33:25the only thing we have more positive than
- 33:28everybody else.
- 33:28It's not democracy, OK?
- 33:31It isn't democracy.
- 33:32What we have isn't.
- 33:35It's a great theory, but shit, communism was
- 33:39a great theory.
- 33:40Communism is a fantastic theory.
- 33:42A lot of places in the communal types,
- 33:45like religious types.
- 33:46Think about this.
- 33:47The church takes in all of the resources.
- 33:51Everybody donates to the church.
- 33:53And why?
- 33:54Because the church is going to provide for
- 33:56those in need that are also in the
- 33:58congregation so that people don't have to come
- 34:01and beg to you if they are, you
- 34:04know, if they know you're the rich dude.
- 34:06So people put a portion of their money
- 34:09in to provide for the general welfare of
- 34:12the public.
- 34:12That's a good and noble thing.
- 34:16And it's a good and noble thing to
- 34:19do it on a large scale.
- 34:22Trouble is you can't, you know, because people
- 34:25are people and somebody might take advantage of
- 34:30that system and go in every week and
- 34:33say, you know, father, so and so bishop,
- 34:35so and so pastor, so and so, I
- 34:39can't make it again.
- 34:41Well, you're really out, you know, drinking on
- 34:43the weekend.
- 34:43You don't have enough money to pay your
- 34:45rent or take care of your kids.
- 34:46There are people that will abuse the generosity
- 34:50of others.
- 34:51That is why the communist theory did not
- 34:54work.
- 34:55In theory, it's great.
- 34:57Everybody's equal.
- 34:58Everybody gets the same thing in practice.
- 35:00It just won't happen because you have the
- 35:03same exact thing you have in democracy.
- 35:07Rules for thee, but not for me.
- 35:11They all get up there and they all
- 35:13are subject to it on one level or
- 35:16the other.
- 35:16And it happens the very first time you
- 35:19got to sell yourself out to get something
- 35:22else you want.
- 35:23And you have to take the greater good
- 35:26instead of what's right or what's wrong.
- 35:29Or the greater not so good so that
- 35:31you get something that's far more important to
- 35:34you.
- 35:35And so politics is a crappy old business
- 35:38and you have to take what you can
- 35:42get.
- 35:43And the worst part is you got to
- 35:44deal with all the bureaucrats once you get
- 35:46in.
- 35:46My big questions are, are we going to
- 35:48take care of this bureaucratic BS?
- 35:51Are we going to get rid of these
- 35:52power mongers?
- 35:54All I care about is maximizing individual liberties
- 35:59while minimizing overreach of government and getting rid
- 36:03of those who engage in it or changing
- 36:06that sort of system.
- 36:08That's it.
- 36:08All I want is limited government.
- 36:10I'm not running for office, but I mean,
- 36:11all I want is limited government.
- 36:13I want government as limited as it should
- 36:15only be a government that provides for the
- 36:22common defense.
- 36:23That's on the national level.
- 36:25On the state level, I suppose you could
- 36:27have your militia and you could have your
- 36:29you know, Army Reserve National Guard guys or
- 36:32whatever that serve at the pleasure of the
- 36:36president if ever, or the governor if ever
- 36:38necessary.
- 36:40But generally, you know, what is the government
- 36:44supposed to do?
- 36:46The government is supposed to regulate the points
- 36:49of contact between citizens, businesses, regulators.
- 36:57It's supposed to create a fair playing field.
- 37:00That's it.
- 37:01Fair playing field.
- 37:03And when you're a judge, your portion of
- 37:04the fair playing field is sitting in the
- 37:06court and deciding and doing easy things.
- 37:09I like what Kevin said about reorganizing some
- 37:15things in the Miller County.
- 37:17I like to hear that, you know, because
- 37:19when I was practicing, I loved Judge Oswald.
- 37:22I thought he was funny.
- 37:23And I had to take him to get
- 37:26rid of prohibition, rid of mandamus.
- 37:29I can't remember which one, but I had
- 37:31to take him up a level or two
- 37:34once or twice.
- 37:35And I think I won one and lost
- 37:36one.
- 37:37I really don't remember.
- 37:37It's not important.
- 37:38But either way, he was a good long
- 37:42-term judge and fair.
- 37:44You didn't go sit in front of that
- 37:45judge and think, Jesus, I'm the wrong lawyer
- 37:49for this guy.
- 37:50You know, he's going to screw this guy
- 37:51like you do did in Lebanon.
- 37:54Go down.
- 37:56I've mentioned that a whole before that I'm
- 38:00going to drag in somebody from the state
- 38:01of California who got a speeding ticket.
- 38:04We're going to make him appear.
- 38:05What a crock of shit.
- 38:07I mean, that's nonsense.
- 38:09And so this you know, I really shouldn't
- 38:11talk like that.
- 38:12And I usually don't.
- 38:13But sometimes I just get on a roll.
- 38:16I apologize.
- 38:17I'll try to do a better job.
- 38:19But you know, this judge was dragging people
- 38:23in.
- 38:24Guy flew in on his private plane, rented
- 38:27a car, drove to court for a $150
- 38:29ticket.
- 38:30And so the judge could lecture him.
- 38:32He's 50 something.
- 38:33And the judge is going to lecture him
- 38:35by, you know, speeding through my county, you
- 38:38might kill one of my constituency.
- 38:41What the hell is this guy?
- 38:43You gotta be kidding me.
- 38:45Really?
- 38:45This is what you're doing?
- 38:47That's what he's doing.
- 38:48He's doing it today.
- 38:49Only now he's in federal court by God.
- 38:52I wonder what speeches he's given there.
- 38:54Anyway, dude's nuts.
- 38:57But that's how he thought.
- 38:59And maybe that's what got him promoted to
- 39:01the, maybe that's what licked the right rear
- 39:03end to get him to the federal court.
- 39:05We don't know.
- 39:07But some people like that.
- 39:09Some people want to do that.
- 39:11And so I don't know.
- 39:12There's so many variables to all of this
- 39:15stuff.
- 39:15And asking people hypothetical questions is very, very
- 39:22difficult because you never know until you get
- 39:25hit there anyway.
- 39:27And I apologize for jumping on that topic
- 39:30this morning.
- 39:31But I really think it was a a
- 39:34valuable meet and greet, a valuable event for
- 39:41people to to participate in.
- 39:46And I hope that you participate in some
- 39:51more before you have to make the choice
- 39:53on who to vote for in your particular
- 39:55area.
- 39:57Now, don't get too depressed over it.
- 39:59Government is still government.
- 40:01And we've got the, it's the best.
- 40:05It's the only thing that we know as
- 40:08a public.
- 40:09And get somebody who is, the whole point
- 40:13is that you want somebody who thinks the
- 40:16most like you.
- 40:18You want somebody who's gonna represent.
- 40:23Remember, these are representatives.
- 40:25They're going to represent your point of view,
- 40:31allegedly.
- 40:32Or the majority point of view.
- 40:33How they come to that decision, nobody knows.
- 40:36But the only voice you have is one
- 40:38day in a booth, pulling a handle, punching
- 40:41a hole, you know, touching a screen, whatever,
- 40:45when you do your election.
- 40:49And only reason I say that is because
- 40:52if you don't get involved, you'll never know.
- 40:56And you'll do what, sadly, far too many
- 40:59do, is hear only the headlines and not
- 41:02know anything about the folks involved.
- 41:07So I hope you do a little searching,
- 41:11both in your soul and online, for what
- 41:14you think should be the correct moves.
- 41:18Yes?
- 41:19And let's see what, you know what we're
- 41:22gonna do?
- 41:23We're going to do it one more time.
- 41:27Do that to me one more time.
- 41:29No, let's not do that.
- 41:32We are gonna find the correct, because now
- 41:38we have another favorite.
- 41:39Are you ready?
- 41:44Now we're gonna play what I really think
- 41:46everyone should listen to, and I listen to.
- 41:49And I remember I would force my children
- 41:51to listen to this and to, you want
- 41:54a little history lesson?
- 41:56You could go back to the abuse I
- 41:58leveled upon my own children, just like my
- 42:01father before me, of watching every Father's Day.
- 42:06And my birthday is on Father's Day a
- 42:08lot of times.
- 42:09I wonder what day it is this year.
- 42:10What day is Father's Day?
- 42:12Anybody know?
- 42:13We're gonna find out.
- 42:15But in the meantime, I'm gonna make you,
- 42:17not make you, I'm gonna offer you the
- 42:21opportunity to listen to the, the, the, the
- 42:29good, the bad, and the ugly.
- 42:37That is what we're gonna do.
- 45:59Awesome sauce.
- 46:01Now, that's the part where he's running around
- 46:04in the graveyard is the ugly.
- 46:07He's running around in the graveyard looking for
- 46:09the grave of the person.
- 46:12So what would happen would be I'd put
- 46:14on that movie, force my children to watch
- 46:17it on Father's Day, wouldn't let him go
- 46:18anywhere.
- 46:21And then I would lay on the couch,
- 46:22fall asleep and wake up right at that
- 46:24point, right at the point.
- 46:28You sleep through the whole movie.
- 46:29And then at the end, when you're getting
- 46:31ready to run through this scene at the
- 46:33graveyard, that's when old pops would wake up
- 46:36and the kids go, you did it again.
- 46:38You know, it was a lot of fun,
- 46:39but I guarantee you my three sons are
- 46:42probably making their kids do the same thing,
- 46:44which is my, my father always did.
- 46:47And, uh, you know, it was difficult because
- 46:51back then it was VCR.
- 46:53Jesus.
- 46:53There's some bad stuff.
- 46:55When I was a teenager, we had to
- 46:56put up with VCR.
- 46:57Remember the Betamax.
- 46:58And then everybody was going to buy the
- 47:00video disc.
- 47:02Remember those great big record looking things, but
- 47:04they were video discs and you put them
- 47:07in some little laser machine.
- 47:09And, uh, those were high dollar.
- 47:14And I have like a thousand DVDs, right?
- 47:17And so what I did is I copied
- 47:19them all into a hard drive, but a
- 47:2110 terabyte hard drive, and you can take
- 47:24your hard drive and plug it into your
- 47:26TV and you can log into any of
- 47:29them anytime.
- 47:30And you down and it downloads the album
- 47:33cover.
- 47:34It takes your entire DVD collection and turns
- 47:38it into a playable DVD.
- 47:41So I did all of that.
- 47:43And I swear to God, it lasted about
- 47:45four months and I ended up getting rid
- 47:47of most of the, uh, DVDs.
- 47:52Then the damn DVD or the, uh, hard
- 47:55drive quit working and it was a brand
- 47:57new hard drive.
- 47:59So now I had to buy another 10
- 48:04terabyte hard drive.
- 48:05And why do you, why am I telling
- 48:07this story?
- 48:07That is not what I intend to talk
- 48:08about today.
- 48:09My story, me and my damn stories.
- 48:11Uh, let's see how I got screwed today.
- 48:14You know, I got screwed at all my
- 48:16moves and you know what Apple wants you
- 48:18to pay for those anyway.
- 48:19It's really stupid.
- 48:20So you go in and you try to
- 48:22upload your movies, your own freaking movies into,
- 48:25uh, Apple.
- 48:27Hey, try to make you pay for them.
- 48:29You gotta pay to put them on the
- 48:32little platform.
- 48:33So don't do it.
- 48:34Screw them.
- 48:34You should go get your hard drives, put
- 48:36them in there, download all your Apple movies,
- 48:38which I also did because I have another
- 48:41thousand Apple movies over the years and download
- 48:44those onto the video in a different format.
- 48:47Uh, instead of MP4, you do it in
- 48:49something else.
- 48:50I forget how it goes.
- 48:51And then, um, you watch them on your
- 48:55own, but then you're on your own if
- 48:56they die.
- 48:57So you got to learn how to save
- 48:58them in the cloud.
- 48:58And that's the next step in this, uh,
- 49:02long-term process.
- 49:03Uh, at any rate, that is not the
- 49:05story of today, how to get away with,
- 49:09uh, um, movies that you already own, uploading
- 49:14them into the cloud so you can watch
- 49:17them at your leisure.
- 49:18Um, let's see a guy named Scaramucci.
- 49:23Okay.
- 49:25Slams Trump's war council of one.
- 49:29So I'm reading on the TV screens here
- 49:31right now.
- 49:32The, um, we're destroying, we're destroying a civilization
- 49:36tonight.
- 49:41Crazy.
- 49:43Just, just crazy.
- 49:44Yep.
- 49:45You're making friends around the world.
- 49:47You're just making friends everywhere you go.
- 49:51U S president Trump's war with Iran.
- 49:54See, and now they're finally saying it right.
- 49:56This is, this is the way that they
- 49:58have talked about Trump's, uh, war of aggression
- 50:01again, or not Trump Putin's war of aggression
- 50:04against Ukraine, blah, blah, blah.
- 50:05Well, now they can say Trump's war of
- 50:07aggression, uh, against Iran on behalf of Israel
- 50:11has been driven by a council of one
- 50:15style of decision-making that could have serious
- 50:19repercussions for the U S says former white
- 50:22house communication director, Anthony Scaramucci, the U S
- 50:28Israel war against the Islamic Republic is in
- 50:32its sixth week has inflicted widespread destruction across
- 50:37the region and mass displacement and mounting economic
- 50:42strain.
- 50:43Civilian casualties continue to rise in Iran and
- 50:47across the region as strikes intensify.
- 50:50Trump has claims that Washington is in deep
- 50:53negotiations.
- 50:54Now everybody denies this by the way, and
- 50:57says that, uh, there there's one of more
- 51:02or less truthful, uh, set of documents that
- 51:08went to Trump and back to Iran through
- 51:14Pakistan, but they're not in behalf of anybody
- 51:17else except Pakistan, which is suffering dramatically as
- 51:22is India, because they have no fertilizer.
- 51:25They can't get it through the or hormones,
- 51:28but they're not pro Trump at all.
- 51:32They think that just, just needs to go
- 51:35away and it needs to end.
- 51:37And, uh, Trump can't lose.
- 51:39If he loses, he's going to look like
- 51:42a, uh, a bigger dipshit.
- 51:45You know, it's, it's, it's not for him.
- 51:47This is not good.
- 51:49He started something that he didn't foresee that
- 51:53he didn't plan for.
- 51:54And the economic strain is kicking the crap
- 51:57out of everybody, but he cannot back down,
- 52:02which means you only have escalation.
- 52:05I can't remember who it was.
- 52:07I was watching the other day.
- 52:08Um, I think it was, uh, Alex Christoforou
- 52:11and, uh, Alex Mark, Mark.
- 52:16I can't remember his name.
- 52:17The two there they're on the Duran, the
- 52:19Duran show.
- 52:20It's a, it's a decent, it's really good.
- 52:22Actually.
- 52:22One's from England and the other guy, I
- 52:24think, I know he lives in site while
- 52:26Cyprus in Greece, he's from that area, but
- 52:29his English is really good.
- 52:30I think he was educated in the U
- 52:31S and he knows us movies and all
- 52:34that.
- 52:34So I'm assuming he's, uh, he's, uh, you
- 52:37know, from the Homeland here, but they, they
- 52:39were interviewing, uh, John Mearsheimer a couple of
- 52:43days ago about this.
- 52:45And so I watched that one.
- 52:46That was a really good one.
- 52:47If you get a chance to watch it.
- 52:49Um, um, and the guy says, uh, professor
- 52:55Mearsheimer who's university Chicago, I think.
- 52:58And he, he's very, very smart and very
- 52:59well educated on these, these topics.
- 53:03And, uh, uh, he said something similar.
- 53:06He said that there's no, there's no way
- 53:08out, unfortunately for Trump.
- 53:12And, uh, the, the, and, and, and I
- 53:14don't know that I totally agree with what
- 53:16he says, but I, it certainly makes sense
- 53:18that, uh, it makes far more sense than,
- 53:21Oh, gee, Iran's losing.
- 53:22Um, and this, this truly for me, it's
- 53:26much more, it's worse than that because I
- 53:30don't like this and haven't liked it from
- 53:32the beginning.
- 53:32I haven't liked what was going on in,
- 53:34uh, uh, uh, Venezuela.
- 53:38I don't like this power only I'm more
- 53:42powerful than you.
- 53:43And, you know, I, I, I, I'm highly
- 53:45offended that this, this, uh, typical war scenario
- 53:49is the exact same scenario all over again,
- 53:52do what I say because I'm Papa Trump
- 53:55and that's that and the rest of the
- 53:57world, you better fall in line and, you
- 54:00know, uh, lick the rear ends of the
- 54:03United States because that's the only acceptable outcome.
- 54:08And I, I think he's, even if he
- 54:14wins, okay, let's say that Iran capitulates today,
- 54:18the consolidation of, I mean, we're just stealing
- 54:23other people's resources, right?
- 54:26You're not doing this on behalf of Qatar.
- 54:29You're not doing it on behalf of any,
- 54:31and now you're blowing up Carg Island and
- 54:33then you're going to blow up all the
- 54:35electrical power stations.
- 54:36I've been talking about the war of infrastructure
- 54:39for a long time and what they're going
- 54:42to do.
- 54:43You know, when he said, we're going to
- 54:44bomb you back to the stone age, that's
- 54:45not what he meant.
- 54:46He meant we're going to bomb you back
- 54:48to the U S where the U S
- 54:50is because we are the weakest infrastructure link
- 54:54on the planet.
- 54:55We can't even build a railroad across the
- 54:59country.
- 54:59We have no high speed rail.
- 55:02They're there.
- 55:03China's got tons of them.
- 55:04Where the hell is our infrastructure?
- 55:06We're not getting China's investment.
- 55:08Why?
- 55:08Because they're building infrastructure around the planet and
- 55:11Donald Trump is stealing it.
- 55:14That's what he's doing.
- 55:15Well, okay.
- 55:16You can build that.
- 55:17You got all the money.
- 55:18You won't give it to us.
- 55:19If you give it to us, it'll go
- 55:20in the pockets of a few anyway, and
- 55:22no infrastructure will be built because that's how
- 55:25our system is.
- 55:27And you know, look in California, you got
- 55:30a train going 15 miles from Bakersfield to
- 55:32wherever of the high speed rail, if that,
- 55:36and the high speed rail doesn't work, it's
- 55:38a hundred million over budget and no, no
- 55:41end in sight, no train either.
- 55:44We got nothing.
- 55:45And he can't even call it high speed
- 55:47rail because it doesn't go anywhere.
- 55:49And so you've got nothing or even some
- 55:53regular rail would be fine.
- 55:56You know, maybe we don't go as fast,
- 55:58but we don't build infrastructure.
- 56:01We destroy.
- 56:02So what does Trump say?
- 56:03We're going to destroy it and steal all
- 56:05your oil.
- 56:05That's my oil.
- 56:06He made that.
- 56:07He said that yesterday.
- 56:09We're going to take the oil.
- 56:11I'll, I'll take the oil.
- 56:12Well, of course you will.
- 56:14That's what, at least he's open about it.
- 56:17We're still in the oil.
- 56:18You know, it looks like, it looks like
- 56:22we're winning again or we're going to win
- 56:25so much.
- 56:25You're going to be sick of it.
- 56:26I'm be sick of killing people.
- 56:29This is BS, you know, and all the
- 56:31people out there who are going, Oh gee,
- 56:33Iran, they really want to be free.
- 56:35They would, they have a culture and the
- 56:38culture is not yours.
- 56:40The culture is not yours and you can't
- 56:43claim to understand it.
- 56:45And so I don't know, I get offended
- 56:47over that sort of stuff.
- 56:49At any rate, this Scaramucci guy says, now
- 56:53we're in the sixth week, civilian casualties.
- 56:56Trump is claiming that Washington's is in negotiation,
- 56:59but they're not well warning that he's going
- 57:01to blow up everything.
- 57:03If no deal is reached, he's already doing
- 57:04that.
- 57:05Speaking on the show, going underground over the
- 57:10weekend, Scaramucci said he opposed the conflict from
- 57:13the outset, adding that lots of our Gulf
- 57:16allies would have probably agreed with that.
- 57:20One thing that's going on that somebody like
- 57:23me wouldn't like is that the decision-making
- 57:25is being made by a council of one.
- 57:29He said, arguing that US presidents historically operate
- 57:33with a broader consultation.
- 57:37Trump is surrounded by a team of yes
- 57:40men.
- 57:41Well, that's true.
- 57:42Hegseth is for sure, you know, got his
- 57:47helmet ready.
- 57:47Come on.
- 57:48He's ready.
- 57:48He's ready to be put in.
- 57:50Scaramucci claimed this contrasting with earlier administration.
- 57:55Scaramucci said he does not believe, however, that
- 58:00prime minister Netanyahu is pulling Trump around by
- 58:04the nose.
- 58:05Now, I think he was in the beginning,
- 58:07but I think now he just wound him
- 58:09up and he gets to let him go
- 58:10because it's going in his favor.
- 58:13He doesn't have to do anything anymore.
- 58:15He started it.
- 58:17Neither one of them had an out.
- 58:19This Mearsheimer guy was talking about, oh, no,
- 58:24no, no, no, no, no, no.
- 58:24You know who this was?
- 58:25This was Scott Ritter.
- 58:28Scott Ritter was saying that there's a guy,
- 58:33Israeli guy, who has basically been camping out
- 58:39in the White House selling these dreams of
- 58:42of.
- 58:45Taking over Iran and telling them in that
- 58:49the initial the initial strikes on the 28th
- 58:53of February, the initial ones that if you
- 58:57that he's been pushing this in Israel and
- 58:59in the US through the lobbyists, the horribly
- 59:01powerful lobbyists, that this lobby is extremely powerful.
- 59:06And he's been pushing this, that if you
- 59:09bomb them, the people will do the rest
- 59:12for you in Iran.
- 59:14Trump's still pumping that shit out yesterday saying,
- 59:17oh, yeah, they just want to be free.
- 59:20They want to be free of you.
- 59:22They want to be free of the US.
- 59:25They want to be free of conflict in
- 59:28their own neighborhood created by the US.
- 59:31That's what they want.
- 59:32And he warned of this.
- 59:35Scaramucci warned of unintended consequences if Washington escalates
- 59:40further.
- 59:40By the way, all reasonable experts are saying
- 59:44that my guess is they're going to they
- 59:47are going to shut down the oil.
- 59:50And Trump has set his deadline, you know,
- 59:53eight hours away.
- 59:54He's probably blowing the crap out of him.
- 59:56Now, there's been all kinds of people saying
- 59:58that this rescue of one guy sending in
- 1:00:01all these planes is really a failed attempt
- 1:00:05to grab the uranium, because why else would
- 1:00:07you have to see one thirties in there?
- 1:00:10And Scott Ritter went through all of that.
- 1:00:12That was interesting.
- 1:00:13If you get a chance to watch that,
- 1:00:14who was he on with?
- 1:00:16That was let me see if I can
- 1:00:18find that for you in my history, because
- 1:00:20that was well worth the the listen, as
- 1:00:27was the good, the bad and the ugly,
- 1:00:29which is in my my path there.
- 1:00:33Where is it?
- 1:00:40The desperate and dangerous one was pretty good.
- 1:00:43That's with John Mearsheimer.
- 1:00:44And check that one out.
- 1:00:47And then you have the what really happened.
- 1:00:52This is a four man panel.
- 1:00:54And this was where Scott Ritter was.
- 1:00:56And he's was Larry Johnson, Scott Ritter.
- 1:01:00Sarah from D.D. geopolitics and Christopher Halali
- 1:01:05from he's I've only seen him once or
- 1:01:10twice before, but Scott Ritter had some very
- 1:01:12good things to add into this about his
- 1:01:15analysis and Larry Johnson as well.
- 1:01:17And he was former CIA intel analyst.
- 1:01:20And those two gave a very good description
- 1:01:24of what went on in Iran that wasn't
- 1:01:27about rescuing this this pilot, that that was
- 1:01:32a side benefit.
- 1:01:34But what they said is they've now either
- 1:01:37destroyed their own op, which was going to
- 1:01:42be chasing the uranium.
- 1:01:45We're going to go steal it.
- 1:01:46We're going to take a few planes and
- 1:01:48go steal all the uranium.
- 1:01:49So it could be a failed attempt at
- 1:01:51that or.
- 1:01:53It could be a.
- 1:01:58Some some something else to take over an
- 1:02:00airfield in there, because the Israelis were saying
- 1:02:03that air to airfield could be taken over.
- 1:02:05Right.
- 1:02:06And so what what Ritter especially was saying
- 1:02:11is that if you.
- 1:02:14You know what, maybe I will play him
- 1:02:15for you if I can find it, because
- 1:02:17it was really a where Scott.
- 1:02:20I might have to get him on my
- 1:02:22show again.
- 1:02:24And maybe have him come through that.
- 1:02:27Is he playing or 75th squadron or something
- 1:02:33of that nature?
- 1:02:33And they fly with a C295W or something
- 1:02:39of this nature.
- 1:02:40It's a it's a commercial airline converted, but
- 1:02:42these aircraft exist to do clandestine infiltrations and
- 1:02:47extractions of U.S. special operations, CIA, paramilitaries,
- 1:02:50et cetera.
- 1:02:51And they fly three of those in.
- 1:02:53They pick up the people on the ground,
- 1:02:55including the pilot.
- 1:02:56And then the tier one guys on the
- 1:02:59way out, thermite the hell out of out
- 1:03:02of the C-130s and the H-64s.
- 1:03:06And you have, you know, three short takeoff
- 1:03:08and landing aircraft pull out and get people
- 1:03:12out.
- 1:03:13That appears to be the the what what
- 1:03:16I believe happened.
- 1:03:19I don't know if we left the body
- 1:03:21on the ground.
- 1:03:21I mean, that would be stupid to deny
- 1:03:23it and then and then have the body
- 1:03:24show up.
- 1:03:25I I know what the bodies look like
- 1:03:28in Desert One, and that's not what they
- 1:03:32look like.
- 1:03:32But so I don't know if that's just
- 1:03:35melting steel that came down in the form
- 1:03:37of a, you know, that looked like a
- 1:03:38skull or whatever.
- 1:03:39Who knows?
- 1:03:40I'm not there yet.
- 1:03:43Well, you can't really listen to it without
- 1:03:45listening to the whole thing, but it was
- 1:03:47a very good look at this.
- 1:03:49It's called if you can find it, Scott
- 1:03:52Ritter, Larry Johnson, what really happened during the
- 1:03:56U.S. search and rescue inside Iran.
- 1:03:59And well worth a listen or a view.
- 1:04:02Now, I don't know who Sarah is from
- 1:04:04D.D. Geopolitics or Christopher Halali, but they
- 1:04:07were the two interviewers interviewing Johnson and Ritter
- 1:04:10and worth it.
- 1:04:12I'm going to try to I'm going to
- 1:04:13send Ritter an email, see if I can
- 1:04:16get him back on my program, maybe do
- 1:04:18something similar and get his thought process on
- 1:04:21that, because it was wow, you know, and
- 1:04:26he was a weapons inspector at the time.
- 1:04:29I was a weapons inspector and escort, but
- 1:04:32I was in the escort division.
- 1:04:33He was in the inspection division.
- 1:04:35And so then he got picked up.
- 1:04:37And if you go back in the history
- 1:04:40on my YouTube channel or whatever, you can
- 1:04:42find his interview about how he ended up
- 1:04:46in Iraq and the FBI chasing him around
- 1:04:49and stealing his passport and shit like that.
- 1:04:52And so I like the guy.
- 1:04:55And I also think he's very knowledgeable.
- 1:04:58And, you know, it's kind of funny because
- 1:05:00it's the people that get targeted.
- 1:05:04And this could be a little self-serving,
- 1:05:06but the people that are get targeted and
- 1:05:09destroyed like he has been by the by
- 1:05:12the government, they get chased around, they get
- 1:05:14harassed, that get like like the guy that
- 1:05:18Joe Kent or whatever his name was, that
- 1:05:21suddenly he's persona non grata everywhere he went.
- 1:05:25But he was the, you know, everything but,
- 1:05:27you know, the best invention since sliced bread,
- 1:05:30you know, when when he took the job
- 1:05:34and then suddenly he's the Antichrist, you know,
- 1:05:37it's nonsense.
- 1:05:38And so I say listen to more people
- 1:05:42that are torn apart by the system, not
- 1:05:46less.
- 1:05:47And I mean, and what's really funny is
- 1:05:49the system tore apart Donald Trump, right?
- 1:05:54The Democrat system, the Republican system is doing
- 1:05:58just the same on the other side, if
- 1:06:00you have a point of view that that
- 1:06:02doesn't jibe with, you know, all Trump all
- 1:06:05the time.
- 1:06:07And I'm not all Trump all the time.
- 1:06:09I think this is an extremely foolish war
- 1:06:13scenario.
- 1:06:14I try to remain open to other ideas.
- 1:06:21But I'm telling you what, only time will
- 1:06:23tell.
- 1:06:25You know, I remember, you know, being beat
- 1:06:29up upon verbally by by all kinds of
- 1:06:33people when the Ukraine war just started.
- 1:06:36But I've been right about that since day
- 1:06:38one.
- 1:06:39And Ritter, right about that since day one.
- 1:06:44Mearsheimer, right about that.
- 1:06:46Johnson, right about that.
- 1:06:48And people that understand geopolitical relationships and understand
- 1:06:53what we're doing, the good ones, the ones
- 1:06:59who are far more right than wrong, you
- 1:07:01know, all the experts on the Democratic side,
- 1:07:04the party side, the deep state side, if
- 1:07:06you want to call it that, they're always
- 1:07:08wrong.
- 1:07:09They're paid to be wrong.
- 1:07:10They're paid to sell a narrative.
- 1:07:12They're not paid to be right.
- 1:07:14And so they make 10 times more money
- 1:07:16for being wrong than these people make for
- 1:07:19being right.
- 1:07:20And so if it was all about money,
- 1:07:22it better be the other guys.
- 1:07:24If money makes right, if might makes right,
- 1:07:27you know, if any of that is right,
- 1:07:30well, you know, stick with your Donald Trumps
- 1:07:32of the world and your Democratic expert groups
- 1:07:37from NGOs and people that are lifetime bureaucrats
- 1:07:42that are acting in their own interests and
- 1:07:45the interest of their cronies because they all
- 1:07:47rub each other's backs.
- 1:07:49That's the way it goes.
- 1:07:51And but if you want the people who
- 1:07:53will tell you the truth, people like Larry
- 1:07:55Johnson, Scott Ritter, Professor Mearsheimer, Professor Sachs, Samuel
- 1:08:03Trapp, you know, pick those people.
- 1:08:07There's a possibility they might understand and maybe
- 1:08:13they'd be worthy of a good listen.
- 1:08:16Scaramucci, I don't know, barely know the name.
- 1:08:22This is interesting.
- 1:08:24You act like we're the only or you
- 1:08:26want to think that we're the only people
- 1:08:28with a shitty government.
- 1:08:29We're not.
- 1:08:30The UK has paid over $1 billion in
- 1:08:34benefits to dead people, according to the Telegraph.
- 1:08:38The Department for Work and Pensions wasted millions
- 1:08:41of pounds due to delayed health notification administrative
- 1:08:44error.
- 1:08:45So, you know, there's a rather large deal
- 1:08:52in America where, and you see this all
- 1:08:56the time, fairly frequently, where some kids living
- 1:09:00in his mom's basement and mom passes away
- 1:09:03at age whatever, 70, but she remains in
- 1:09:07the house, in the bed, dead so that
- 1:09:11the son can collect the money.
- 1:09:14Well, apparently that's going on in other countries,
- 1:09:16too.
- 1:09:16And the Welfare Department has paid out over
- 1:09:19$1.1 billion to dead people over the
- 1:09:23past four years in a government blunder, according
- 1:09:26to the Telegraph.
- 1:09:27Since 2021, work and pensions made approximately 2
- 1:09:31.6 million erroneous payments to dead claimants.
- 1:09:37The errors reported stem from death notifications arriving
- 1:09:40too late to stop payouts or being processed
- 1:09:43as payment was about to...
- 1:09:45The official figures show that total benefit overpayments
- 1:09:49in 2025 alone were $12.6 billion, with
- 1:09:54the vast majority being due to fraud or
- 1:09:58claim mistakes.
- 1:09:59The newly revealed $850 million figure represents official
- 1:10:03administrative error related specifically to deceased recipients.
- 1:10:08Less than half of the sum has been
- 1:10:10recovered, adding to the UK's spiraling welfare bill,
- 1:10:17which already sets British taxpayers back roughly 300
- 1:10:21billion or a pound or $398 billion every
- 1:10:26year.
- 1:10:27The Telegraph noted the cost of recovering the
- 1:10:30money exceeds the amount overpaid, which typically runs
- 1:10:34into just a few hundred pounds per claim.
- 1:10:39Aw, it's only a few hundred pounds.
- 1:10:41The DWP said it will only pursue recovery
- 1:10:44when it is reasonable and cost effective.
- 1:10:48The scandal has sparked sharp criticism from opposition
- 1:10:52politicians and taxpayer associates.
- 1:10:55Lee Anderson from Reform UK calls it an
- 1:10:59absolutely appalling scandal that proves that both Labour
- 1:11:03and the Conservatives cannot be trusted with the
- 1:11:06public's money.
- 1:11:07Doesn't that sound familiar?
- 1:11:10We gotta trust these jokers with our money,
- 1:11:14and they don't watch it, neither on the
- 1:11:16administrative side, the bureaucrat side, or the legislative
- 1:11:20side.
- 1:11:21Um, anyway, the figures do show that the
- 1:11:25department has lost all grip on basic administration.
- 1:11:29Um, all that sounds familiar.
- 1:11:34Ah, bureaucracy.
- 1:11:36Ah, bureaucracy.
- 1:11:38Two officers have been injured and three suspects
- 1:11:41neutralized in a gunfight near the Israeli consulate
- 1:11:47in Istanbul.
- 1:11:50Crazy.
- 1:11:51Firefight broke out between the police and several
- 1:11:54gunmen near the Israeli consulate in Turkey.
- 1:12:00The, well, Istanbul, which is Turkey.
- 1:12:04The building has been closed for months and
- 1:12:07is said to be unstaffed.
- 1:12:08It is unclear if it was the target.
- 1:12:10According to reports, numerous police teams were dispatched
- 1:12:13to the consulate 12-15, because I can't
- 1:12:17remember if they booted them out.
- 1:12:18I think they booted them out.
- 1:12:19Um, but I can't remember.
- 1:12:21Uh, they may have left voluntarily.
- 1:12:23One of the attackers, who was armed with
- 1:12:25long barrel weapons, was killed and two others
- 1:12:27were captured after being wounded, said CNN's Turkish
- 1:12:31language outlet.
- 1:12:34Mm-hmm.
- 1:12:34There's a video of it, too, if you
- 1:12:36want to watch it.
- 1:12:37You know, those, those Turks.
- 1:12:39And the German military is all excited now.
- 1:12:42They're, uh, the Germans' continued military buildup will,
- 1:12:45uh, will lead to another tragedy on a
- 1:12:48global scale.
- 1:12:49If you remember my Maria Zakharova warning from
- 1:12:52last week, um, but the media last week
- 1:12:55in Germany reported that male citizens, get this,
- 1:12:59here's Germany, male citizens who remain abroad for
- 1:13:04more than three months without prior approval from
- 1:13:08the government of Germany could face penalties in
- 1:13:12line with a new requirement under the Military
- 1:13:15Service Modernization Act.
- 1:13:18The rule, which came into force on January
- 1:13:211, 2026, obliges German males between the age
- 1:13:25of 17 and 45 to obtain permission before
- 1:13:30leaving the country for an extended period.
- 1:13:33The defense ministry said the measure is intended
- 1:13:36to maintain a reliable registry of individuals eligible
- 1:13:41for military service.
- 1:13:43In a post on Telegram on Monday, Zakharova
- 1:13:47noted that previously German men were required to
- 1:13:52register before going abroad only during a state
- 1:13:56of tension or state of defense, but that
- 1:13:58the measure is now being expanded to peacetime
- 1:14:02as part of Merch's strategy to militarize Germany.
- 1:14:07Germany moved to reintroduce lottery-based conscription, says
- 1:14:13since Berlin is looking to increase the number
- 1:14:16of active troops from 180,000 to more
- 1:14:19than 260,000 by 2035.
- 1:14:25The heat of militaristic frenzy, Germany has completely
- 1:14:30forgotten the lessons of history.
- 1:14:33The last time the German political elites set
- 1:14:37out to make their country the main military
- 1:14:40power in Europe, which is by the way,
- 1:14:43that's what Friedrich Merz said, it ended in
- 1:14:46a tragedy for all humankind, said Zakharova, referring
- 1:14:51to the great patriotic war, wherein 60 to
- 1:14:5665 million people were estimated to have been
- 1:15:00killed.
- 1:15:02Following the escalation of the Ukraine conflict in
- 1:15:052022, Germany has launched a massive military buildup
- 1:15:09with reported plans of spending at least 500
- 1:15:13billion euro, which is about 580 billion dollars,
- 1:15:17on defense by 2029.
- 1:15:19According to officials in Berlin, the armed forces
- 1:15:23must be war ready by that date for
- 1:15:27potential conflict with Russia.
- 1:15:34Economically, Russian crude is now being supplied to
- 1:15:39where?
- 1:15:40Sri Lanka.
- 1:15:42Sri Lanka will purchase crude oil from Russia
- 1:15:45after reaching an agreement with Moscow.
- 1:15:47Are we going to boycott them now, Mr.
- 1:15:50Trump?
- 1:15:51Amid the energy crisis spurred by the Middle
- 1:15:54East conflict, said the island's transport minister, Bimal
- 1:16:00Ratnayake.
- 1:16:02I took my son to Sri Lanka back
- 1:16:04in 2015.
- 1:16:07It was a lot of fun.
- 1:16:08We got to ride around a little tuk
- 1:16:10-tuk and they have motorized ones and people,
- 1:16:14they even have people running them, but most
- 1:16:16times a tuk-tuk is a little tiny
- 1:16:18engine in the front.
- 1:16:19It's a little three-seater, little bubble that
- 1:16:22you ride in.
- 1:16:22It's kind of cool.
- 1:16:24Anyway, Sri Lanka is cool.
- 1:16:26Lots of great tea factories, had some factories
- 1:16:28built in Dutch East Indian companies back in
- 1:16:31the 1400s and stuff.
- 1:16:32There's some real history there and a pretty
- 1:16:35cool island.
- 1:16:37I saw it went to a museum there.
- 1:16:40This is certainly sidelined, but I went to
- 1:16:42a museum over there and it was the
- 1:16:44Dutch East Indies Trading Company.
- 1:16:47It used to be a port for the
- 1:16:52Chinese Navy.
- 1:16:55I forget the years, I want to say
- 1:16:561800s or something.
- 1:16:58It was certainly around the time that the
- 1:17:01Dutch East Indies, which is what, 1400s, 1500s,
- 1:17:051600s, those times is what I recall, maybe
- 1:17:08even 1700s.
- 1:17:10I'm no expert on this, but the museum
- 1:17:14was freaking amazing.
- 1:17:16You know what it had in there?
- 1:17:17This is the biggest thing that I remember.
- 1:17:20It showed that at the time that the
- 1:17:24Dutch East Indies Trading Company had 30 fleet,
- 1:17:32those great big schooner style with the great
- 1:17:38big massive sails on the top.
- 1:17:41They had 30 of them and they were
- 1:17:45considered by everybody in the West, the most
- 1:17:48powerful in the world.
- 1:17:50The most powerful was that the Chinese at
- 1:17:57the exact same time of that time period
- 1:18:01on the same fort area and that they
- 1:18:05occupied that fort, they had 300 ships and
- 1:18:11their ships were like five times the size.
- 1:18:16They had models of them built on this
- 1:18:18thing and they'd give you like a huge
- 1:18:20ship in a bottle, like something you'd buy
- 1:18:22and put together when you're a kid or
- 1:18:25something, but it was really nice.
- 1:18:27They had one sitting side by side to
- 1:18:30show the scale of the sizes from, and
- 1:18:32they're like four or five times larger that
- 1:18:35the Chinese boats were.
- 1:18:36China had 300 of them at the time
- 1:18:40when the Dutch East Indies Company and the
- 1:18:43navies of France and Britain and all those
- 1:18:48places were considered the kings of the sea.
- 1:18:51It was really China and unbelievable.
- 1:18:55It was a hell of an excursion off
- 1:18:58to Sri Lanka, seeing some of their history
- 1:19:02and they had really good food and excellent
- 1:19:05tea and coffee plantations.
- 1:19:08So anyway, Monday, the energy deal, energy is
- 1:19:14the priority for almost everybody in the Southeast
- 1:19:17Asia lands, because obviously the US triggered war
- 1:19:22and Iran is destroying everyone's ability to survive.
- 1:19:25Pakistan, there's limitations.
- 1:19:28India, all over limitations.
- 1:19:32Australia can't get oil right now because of
- 1:19:35what's going on.
- 1:19:36They're having crunches.
- 1:19:39Russia's deputy energy ministry, Andrei Rudenko, visited Sri
- 1:19:43Lanka a few days ago.
- 1:19:44Deputy foreign minister also visited along that time.
- 1:19:47They reached an agreement on oil supplies to
- 1:19:50the country.
- 1:19:52Technical work is underway at the company level
- 1:19:55and financial issues are being discussed, how to
- 1:19:57conduct the transactions, because Russia wants to be
- 1:20:00paid either in yuan, rupee, ruble, Sri Lankan
- 1:20:05money.
- 1:20:06They can even do that as long as
- 1:20:07they can trade it to whatever.
- 1:20:08They don't want to be paid in dollars.
- 1:20:10Mayura Nithi, oh, I can't say that name,
- 1:20:13top petroleum officials, they say there are two
- 1:20:16places where it can be unloaded.
- 1:20:18Gee, wonder if Trump's going to bomb that
- 1:20:19too.
- 1:20:20Why don't we bomb them?
- 1:20:21Russia's delivering oil to somebody.
- 1:20:23Bomb them, right?
- 1:20:25That's the answer to everything these days is
- 1:20:28throw a bomb.
- 1:20:29I'm bigger than you, so there you go.
- 1:20:32Massive explosion rocks a bridge in Panama, shows
- 1:20:36a blaze that engulfs vehicles passing over the
- 1:20:42bridge of the Americas.
- 1:20:43A huge fireball.
- 1:20:45You got to see this video.
- 1:20:46You can't see it, but it's wow.
- 1:20:52Something blew up down there.
- 1:20:57Columns of black smoke over the bridge, dramatic
- 1:21:01videos on social media.
- 1:21:03The blast was caused by a tanker truck
- 1:21:07explosion and forced to shut down of traffic
- 1:21:10on the bridge, one of the country's most
- 1:21:12important transport links.
- 1:21:14While the explosion did not occur directly on
- 1:21:16the bridge, flames billowing beneath the crossing fueled
- 1:21:21concern over structural integrity.
- 1:21:24It happened right below it.
- 1:21:25It's really weird.
- 1:21:27So it blew up, but it was a
- 1:21:29hell of a video and they suspended the
- 1:21:33transit.
- 1:21:34And what about the moon flyby?
- 1:21:36So the Artemis 2 is performing flybys of
- 1:21:40the moon, right?
- 1:21:41Amid the communication loss.
- 1:21:43Four astronauts of the NASA mission have gone
- 1:21:47further from earth than any human before them.
- 1:21:50NASA's Orion spacecraft carrying four astronauts did a
- 1:21:56lunar flyby coming within 4,070 miles of
- 1:22:03the lunar surface and entered the moon's gravitational
- 1:22:06sphere.
- 1:22:08In a planned journey, mission control in Houston
- 1:22:12lost contact with the crew at 643 p
- 1:22:15.m. for approximately 40 minutes.
- 1:22:19The communication blackout occurred when the moon blocked
- 1:22:22radio and laser signals between the earth-based
- 1:22:26deep space network and the Orion spacecraft.
- 1:22:31While out of contact, NASA astronauts Reid Wiseman,
- 1:22:37Victor Glover, Christina Koch, along with Canadian Space
- 1:22:41Agency astronaut Jeremy Hansen, focused on their scientific
- 1:22:46objectives, photographing and observing the lunar side, including
- 1:22:52the 600-mile-wide Oriental basin.
- 1:22:57The mission's defining moment also saw the crew
- 1:23:01break a 56-year-old record, surpassing the
- 1:23:06248,655-mile mark set by Apollo 13
- 1:23:13in 1970.
- 1:23:16So, there you have it.
- 1:23:18On the far side of the moon, 252
- 1:23:22,756 miles away, Reid, Victor, Christina, and Jeremy
- 1:23:27have now traveled further from earth than any
- 1:23:29human in history and now begin their journey
- 1:23:32home, said NASA Administrator Jared Isaacman in a
- 1:23:36statement on X.
- 1:23:37It's great to hear from earth again.
- 1:23:40Koch said upon re-establishing communication with the
- 1:23:44mission control, we will visit again, we will
- 1:23:48construct science outposts, we will drive rovers, we
- 1:23:52will do radio astronomy, we will found companies,
- 1:23:55we will bolster industry, we will inspire, but
- 1:23:59ultimately we will always choose earth.
- 1:24:04The flyby marks a crucial test for NASA
- 1:24:07as the agency prepares for future lunar landings,
- 1:24:12with the capsule now on a four-day
- 1:24:14return trajectory.
- 1:24:19So, Trump is threatening to jail journalists over
- 1:24:23Iran rescue raid leak.
- 1:24:26The U.S. President did not name the
- 1:24:28outlet or the reporter he called a sick
- 1:24:30person.
- 1:24:31U.S. President Trump has threatened to jail
- 1:24:33the journalists who first reported the details of
- 1:24:36a rescue mission for the two crew members
- 1:24:38of the U.S. F-15 Strike Eagle,
- 1:24:40which was shot down over Iran last week.
- 1:24:43Now, in another thing that happened here, Trump
- 1:24:46has also had the intelligence shut down.
- 1:24:50So, the intelligence network, which is owned by
- 1:24:53a private company that can take satellite video
- 1:24:55from everywhere around the world, and they have
- 1:24:57the most satellites of everybody, I forget the
- 1:24:59name of the company, but Trump has, they
- 1:25:02have shut down.
- 1:25:03It was public yesterday.
- 1:25:04They went public with it and said that
- 1:25:06no longer will they provide the flyovers so
- 1:25:11you can get damage estimates and see stuff
- 1:25:15that's going on, because Trump told them not
- 1:25:18to.
- 1:25:20And so, nobody, Europe, anybody.
- 1:25:23So, Europe is creating their own fields now
- 1:25:24because they aren't sharing.
- 1:25:27Now, this is a private company too, though.
- 1:25:29So, you know, whatever that means, I mean,
- 1:25:33why couldn't they move to, I don't know,
- 1:25:35if it's a private company, why don't they
- 1:25:36relocate?
- 1:25:37Or they could relocate, but they're not, they
- 1:25:40don't want to screw with Trump.
- 1:25:41And so, what the point is, is that
- 1:25:44these flyovers that you can see where the
- 1:25:47damage is done, where it used to be
- 1:25:51sent out some number of hours, I don't
- 1:25:53remember, eight hours, 14 hours, something like that,
- 1:25:56now it's four days.
- 1:25:58So, Trump got them to do it and
- 1:25:59now you can't have them for four days.
- 1:26:01So, anyway, speaking at the White House press
- 1:26:03conference alongside top defense officials, Trump said the
- 1:26:07pilot was recovered within hours while the weapons
- 1:26:10officer, badly injured and hiding in a mountain
- 1:26:13crevice, was rescued Sunday after a complex mission
- 1:26:16involving more than 150 aircraft.
- 1:26:18Trump said the government had hoped to keep
- 1:26:21the second airman's disappearance secret to prevent Iranian
- 1:26:24forces from capturing him.
- 1:26:26But after multiple news outlets reported that one
- 1:26:28crew member was still missing, Trump alleged the
- 1:26:31leaks, alerted Iran's military, put the service members
- 1:26:34life in danger.
- 1:26:35We were going to go to the media
- 1:26:38company that released it and we're going to
- 1:26:40say, we are going.
- 1:26:42And national security, give it up, give up
- 1:26:45the source or go to jail, Trump told
- 1:26:47reporters.
- 1:26:48The person that did the story will go
- 1:26:50to jail if he doesn't say.
- 1:26:53It became a much more difficult operation because
- 1:26:56a leaker leaked.
- 1:26:57All of a sudden, the entire country of
- 1:27:00Iran knew that there was a plot that
- 1:27:02was somewhere on their land, a pilot, I'm
- 1:27:06sorry, that was fighting for his life.
- 1:27:08Rescue mission involved an immense armada.
- 1:27:11Now, this is where I disbelieve.
- 1:27:13I'm on the Scott Ritter side of this
- 1:27:15one.
- 1:27:17You don't send out, get this.
- 1:27:20Rescue mission involved an immense armada of 155
- 1:27:25U.S. aircraft, four bombers, 64 fighter jets,
- 1:27:3048 refueling tankers, and 13 specialized rescue craft.
- 1:27:35The operation involved hundreds of special operation troops,
- 1:27:39including Navy SEAL team, six commandos who were
- 1:27:41inserted to extract the stranded airmen.
- 1:27:45Now that's what I, I wasn't a SEAL
- 1:27:47member.
- 1:27:48I got, I got, well, it doesn't matter,
- 1:27:50but I did the air insertion on helicopter.
- 1:27:53Oh, that was fun.
- 1:27:54That was some good stuff.
- 1:27:55Despite the mission success and never in wartime,
- 1:27:59by the way, I don't want to claim
- 1:28:00something I didn't do.
- 1:28:01Despite the mission success, no American lives lost.
- 1:28:04The U.S. suffered significant material losses.
- 1:28:07At least two transport planes were disabled at
- 1:28:11a remote Iranian airbase during the extraction and
- 1:28:14were deliberately destroyed by the U.S. commandos
- 1:28:17to prevent them from falling into enemy hands.
- 1:28:19Additionally, two U.S. Blackhawk helicopters, which I
- 1:28:22flew in frequently, were also struck.
- 1:28:25So actually the country, Iran, put out a
- 1:28:28major notice, you all saw it, offering a
- 1:28:30big reward for anybody captured a pilot, blah,
- 1:28:32blah, blah, more about Trump.
- 1:28:33Anyway, he wants to take care of the
- 1:28:36guy.
- 1:28:36And that's going to be it for today.
- 1:28:37We're going to wrap it up actually.
- 1:28:39So I won't be able to finish that
- 1:28:41story.
- 1:28:41Trump used the briefing to issue his new
- 1:28:43ultimatum to Iran, threatening to destroy all country's
- 1:28:47civilian infrastructure unless Tehran agrees to reopen the
- 1:28:51Straits of Hormuz by Tuesday evening.
- 1:28:54Well, I don't know.
- 1:28:55I don't know who really is holding the
- 1:28:57stronger cards, but blowing people up is not
- 1:29:00going to help.
- 1:29:02Mr. Trump is what I say.
- 1:29:04And I think you're pushing buttons that you
- 1:29:06shouldn't be pushing.
- 1:29:07But that's me.
