- 1:07SPEAKER_02: Hey, for this week's episode, we are dropping some special nuggets.
- 1:11SPEAKER_02: I was actually a special guest on Elevate Springfield Insider, which is a twice-a-month live uh session they do for other listeners and followers.
- 1:21SPEAKER_02: Uh so I was able to hop on and we did a little segment on seven types of people who can destroy your life or business.
- 1:28SPEAKER_02: So key on that.
- 1:29SPEAKER_02: Figure out if any of those seven are around you in your life or your business to keep them away, right?
- 1:35SPEAKER_02: Hey, also, also, we're gonna segment on the other backside of that podcast we're listening to today.
- 1:41SPEAKER_02: We have where Robert Farrell, my business partner in the coaching business and the big dog media productions, we were in Miami a couple weeks ago where for a coaching event, and we actually did a uh recording down there talking about the 13 rules of success that Grant Cardone lives by, runs his business and life by.
- 2:01SPEAKER_02: And uh number one's a little key thing, I'll just drop that nugget now, is show up to blow up, right?
- 2:07SPEAKER_02: Number one is show up, and we are showing up today, and we're glad you're showing up as our followers and listeners.
- 2:12SPEAKER_02: And we will be back with another fresh episode of Big Dog Designing the Building Middle One Home at a time.
- 2:20SPEAKER_02: And until then, enjoy the podcast.
- 2:22SPEAKER_03: All right, everybody, I'm gonna welcome to the insider, Mr.
- 2:25SPEAKER_03: Chris Hartsuk, owner of Big Dog Construction, Big Dog Coaching Corporation, and 10X Performance Coach for Grant Cardone himself.
- 2:36SPEAKER_03: So, hey, welcome to the insider again, Chris.
- 2:38SPEAKER_03: Happy to have you back.
- 2:39SPEAKER_02: Hey, I am glad to be here, Robert.
- 2:41SPEAKER_02: I cannot wait to share the nuggets we've got to drop today with with all the listeners and followers.
- 2:46SPEAKER_02: Yes, indeed.
- 2:46SPEAKER_02: Well, let's get into it, Chris.
- 2:48SPEAKER_02: What are we talking about today?
- 2:49SPEAKER_02: We are talking about seven types of people who can destroy your life or business.
- 2:55SPEAKER_02: And uh you're gonna be surprised about what type of people they are, and and you're gonna start to think, do I have them in my life right now or my business?
- 3:02SPEAKER_02: So that's what we're gonna chat about today.
- 3:04SPEAKER_03: All right.
- 3:05SPEAKER_03: Well, let's go.
- 3:05SPEAKER_03: Seven types of people.
- 3:06SPEAKER_03: And I'm sure once you start going through these, they'll start becoming apparent that, hey, we've probably had a lot of these in our lives and in our businesses at one point or another.
- 3:14SPEAKER_02: Very much so, very much so.
- 3:15SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 3:16SPEAKER_02: And you're gonna see there uh the image that I'm sharing, it identifies the seven personality types that can be difficult or unhealthy to have in your life or business.
- 3:26SPEAKER_02: While these aren't formal psychological diagnoses, they are useful descriptions of common behavior patterns, though.
- 3:32SPEAKER_02: And uh once we start going through them, you will probably identify a lot of them of people around you.
- 3:37SPEAKER_02: Number one, dead center of there, right?
- 3:39SPEAKER_02: That is the chronic manipulator.
- 3:42SPEAKER_02: A chronic manipulator consistently tries to control people or situations for their own benefit.
- 3:49SPEAKER_02: They often use guilt, deception, flattery, fear, or emotional pressure instead of honest communication.
- 3:56SPEAKER_02: Robert, you ever had anybody around like that?
- 3:58SPEAKER_02: I've had some family members like that, Chris.
- 4:00SPEAKER_02: Nobody.
- 4:14SPEAKER_02: Uses your emotions against you, rarely accepts responsibility for bad stuff, right?
- 4:20SPEAKER_02: If it's good, they're gonna take it on.
- 4:22SPEAKER_02: Oh, yeah, I did that, even though they didn't, right?
- 4:24SPEAKER_02: Makes you question your own judgment.
- 4:26SPEAKER_02: And the impact that they can have is you begin doubting yourself, you lose confidence, and make decisions based on their agenda instead of your own.
- 4:35SPEAKER_02: So see if you can identify any chronic manipulators in your in your realm, right?
- 4:40SPEAKER_02: Around you or your business.
- 4:42SPEAKER_02: Hey, the second one we've got, it is the permanent victim, right?
- 4:46SPEAKER_02: A permanent victim believes life is always happening to them, regardless of circumstances.
- 4:51SPEAKER_02: They rarely take responsibility and consistently blame other people for the situations.
- 4:57SPEAKER_02: It's just nonstop the permanent victim.
- 5:00SPEAKER_02: And I know I'm I've got a few permanent victims around us, Robert, for sure.
- 5:04SPEAKER_02: For sure.
- 5:05SPEAKER_02: You know, common signs that to identify a permanent victim is nothing is ever their fault.
- 5:10SPEAKER_02: Every conversation turns into their latest hardship, what's going on with their health, what's going on with their husband, spouse, whatever it is, right?
- 5:19SPEAKER_02: Or work member.
- 5:20SPEAKER_02: It just always, they always reject solutions while asking for sympathy.
- 5:26SPEAKER_02: We could hand them the answer to their current hardship on a silver platter, spoon feed it to them, and they're they really just want sympathy, right?
- 5:34SPEAKER_02: Permanent victory.
- 5:35SPEAKER_02: Woe is me.
- 5:36SPEAKER_02: And they also believe everyone else has it easier than they do, that their life is so hard and they're constantly making excuses instead of making changes.
- 5:45SPEAKER_02: Right.
- 5:46SPEAKER_02: And the impact that they they have on us is you may become emotionally exhausted just trying to rescue someone who doesn't want to change.
- 5:54SPEAKER_02: And they are just constantly, constantly whining and crying and just like, oh my gosh, come on, let's let's not do this anymore, right?
- 6:03SPEAKER_03: So for guys like us that are, you know, 10x mindset and methods, right?
- 6:08SPEAKER_03: This is so antithetical to what we want in our lives and what we want around us.
- 6:13SPEAKER_03: We've talked multiple times on the show, we've talked multiple times personally together.
- 6:17SPEAKER_03: Yes.
- 6:18SPEAKER_03: You wear them every day, no negativity allowed in the permanent is the one that always brings that negativity.
- 6:25SPEAKER_02: Always.
- 6:26SPEAKER_02: And negativity breeds negativity, and that's the crazy thing about that.
- 6:31SPEAKER_03: So we had a podcast guest uh here just this past week said something very similar.
- 6:36SPEAKER_03: He said, you know, have you ever been around that person that just everything seems to go sideways for them?
- 6:42SPEAKER_03: And everything is negative.
- 6:44SPEAKER_03: But once you take that, you flip that and take that first positive step and start looking at the positive side of things, and that can just continue to grow and grow and grow and eventually get rid of that negativity.
- 6:55SPEAKER_02: Exactly, exactly.
- 6:56SPEAKER_02: And that's where that permanent victim, it just it just sucks you down.
- 7:00SPEAKER_02: It's terrible.
- 7:01SPEAKER_02: We also then run into the the boundary violator, and that boundary violator ignores or disrespects your personal, emotional, financial, or physical limits, right?
- 7:12SPEAKER_02: So it is it literally what it sounds in the name, the title, boundary.
- 7:16SPEAKER_02: Boundaries are set for a reason, right?
- 7:18SPEAKER_02: And this is a violator.
- 7:20SPEAKER_02: And the way to identify them is it doesn't accept no, as in like, no, I'm busy right now, I'm in the middle of something.
- 7:26SPEAKER_02: Boom.
- 7:27SPEAKER_02: They don't care, they're still coming in, right?
- 7:29SPEAKER_02: They also will invade your privacy, right?
- 7:31SPEAKER_02: Maybe, maybe you're trying to use the bathroom and they're hey, hey, hey, you got an answer to this?
- 7:36SPEAKER_02: Hey, hey, I really need, you know, it's like, guys, come on, let me use the bathroom in peace here, right?
- 7:41SPEAKER_02: There's other ways to invade privacy, but I figure I'd just go straight to the bathroom, right?
- 7:45SPEAKER_02: That's right.
- 7:45SPEAKER_02: That's right.
- 7:46SPEAKER_03: Well, and I think that one, that one, especially too, in a in a workplace setting, it's that time boundary that's oftentimes overstepped, you know, where they'll come in and they'll want to be in your office for an hour and a half talking about what else when we we've got targets to hit.
- 8:02SPEAKER_02: We've got stuff we need to do, but we're sitting here, you're sitting here for an hour and a half talking about whatever.
- 8:06SPEAKER_02: The time sucker, definitely the time sucker on that, right?
- 8:09SPEAKER_02: And they also expect immediate responses.
- 8:11SPEAKER_02: Or borrows money or belongings without respect or asking.
- 8:15SPEAKER_02: It's like, whoa, you know, I probably would have you'd asked, but if you don't ask and you just do and take, then that's that's different, right?
- 8:22SPEAKER_02: Or pushes you into things you've already declined.
- 8:25SPEAKER_02: It's like, look, I said my piece, we're not doing this for this reason.
- 8:29SPEAKER_02: I set a boundary, a precedence of why we're not doing that, and here we are.
- 8:32SPEAKER_02: So, and the impact that the boundary violator can have on you is over time you lose your sense of control, independence, or personal peace, right?
- 8:42SPEAKER_02: Because it's like they're constantly there in your space, right?
- 8:46SPEAKER_02: So boundary, boundary violators, just get respect them, right?
- 8:51SPEAKER_02: Just straight up respect them on that.
- 8:53SPEAKER_03: And how over over the years, Chris, how have you set up some of those boundaries with your employees?
- 8:58SPEAKER_03: How has that worked for you and your company?
- 9:01SPEAKER_02: Well, with my team members, I always tell them like, look, it's an open door policy.
- 9:04SPEAKER_02: You can come chat with me anytime you want about anything.
- 9:07SPEAKER_02: So I kind of open up the boundaries loosely, but they do know don't steal time from me, which stealing time from me would be purposely slowing down on a job, showing up late, but clocking in early.
- 9:20SPEAKER_02: Right.
- 9:20SPEAKER_02: That makes sense.
- 9:21SPEAKER_02: Uh, because they clock in on their phones.
- 9:22SPEAKER_02: Uh most companies do that now.
- 9:24SPEAKER_02: Don't steal money from me.
- 9:25SPEAKER_02: I'll give you the shirt off my back or my last dollar I have if you ask me, but just don't take it from me.
- 9:30SPEAKER_02: And so that's kind of the boundaries I have.
- 9:33SPEAKER_02: They're pretty close to me.
- 9:35SPEAKER_02: They're not like, hey, if you stop across you step across that line that's 500 feet out there, I'm gonna smack you down.
- 9:40SPEAKER_02: It's not that.
- 9:41SPEAKER_02: But yeah, that's that's kind of my boundaries.
- 9:43SPEAKER_02: And and I've had a few instances where I've had some team members that have crossed those boundaries, stealing time from me, stealing money from me, or stealing tools from me, or trying to steal clients from me to do side work.
- 9:54SPEAKER_02: No, respect is key in setting up and respecting those boundaries that are there.
- 9:59SPEAKER_02: So, yep.
- 10:00SPEAKER_02: And that that leads us to number four on here.
- 10:02SPEAKER_02: That is the jealous advisor.
- 10:05SPEAKER_02: A jealous advisor appears supportive, but secretly discourages your growth because they feel threatened by your success.
- 10:13SPEAKER_02: This actually could be a competitor in your in your space, uh, another competing business.
- 10:17SPEAKER_02: They could be a jealous advisor, but yet you're at the chamber meetings with them or local first events with them or or any other event that they're like, oh, hey, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 10:27SPEAKER_02: You know, they're great, great what you're doing out there.
- 10:29SPEAKER_02: But then they're going around in another circle saying, Oh, can you believe what they're doing over there?
- 10:33SPEAKER_02: Oh my gosh, it's terrible, right?
- 10:35SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 10:35SPEAKER_02: Common signs of the jealous advisor is they'll give advice that keeps you playing small.
- 10:41SPEAKER_02: Hmm.
- 10:41SPEAKER_02: We're in 10x mode here, right?
- 10:43SPEAKER_02: We don't play small.
- 10:44SPEAKER_02: We go for big, massive action.
- 10:47SPEAKER_02: They'll also downplay your achievements, point out reason your ideas won't work, trying to shoot holes in your in your success.
- 10:54SPEAKER_02: And they'll celebrate your failures more than your wins.
- 10:58SPEAKER_02: Because they're like, haha, I told you so.
- 11:00SPEAKER_02: See, I knew it wouldn't work.
- 11:01SPEAKER_02: They'll also make subtle comparisons to themselves.
- 11:04SPEAKER_02: They're just jealous.
- 11:05SPEAKER_02: Oh, yeah, I did that a year ago, or I achieved that milestone a year ago.
- 11:10SPEAKER_02: Celebrate the wins.
- 11:11SPEAKER_02: And if you continually follow their advice, you may miss opportunities and never realize your full potential because they're giving advice to keep you small.
- 11:20SPEAKER_02: Right.
- 11:20SPEAKER_02: And you don't want to do that.
- 11:21SPEAKER_02: So yeah, definitely keep those jealous advisories out of there for sure.
- 11:26SPEAKER_02: And number five, that lines us up with the emotional landmine.
- 11:30SPEAKER_02: It the the name kind of gives it away, right?
- 11:32SPEAKER_02: An emotional landmine reacts unpredictably or explosively to minor issues, making others feel like they're constantly walking on eggshells around them.
- 11:42SPEAKER_02: You ever had that, Robert?
- 11:43SPEAKER_02: You ever had someone that you're like, you just don't want to say a word to them.
- 11:46SPEAKER_02: But if you don't say a word, then they're like, Why aren't you talking to me?
- 11:49SPEAKER_02: Or if you say something to them, then like, why are you talking to me?
- 11:52SPEAKER_03: Right.
- 11:53SPEAKER_03: Had had folks on the personal side and professional side like that.
- 11:57SPEAKER_03: Absolutely.
- 11:58SPEAKER_02: Definitely, definitely.
- 11:59SPEAKER_02: And the signs of the emotional lay in mind is they'll overreact to small disagreements.
- 12:06SPEAKER_02: Mood changes without warning, easily offended, holds grudges for a long time, uses anger or silent treatment to control situations, not the old silent treatment.
- 12:17SPEAKER_02: I've been there, done that over it.
- 12:19SPEAKER_02: I just assume talk it out and let's move on, right?
- 12:22SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 12:22SPEAKER_02: And the impact that the emotional landmine personality can have on you is you begin censoring yourself and living in fear of triggering another emotional explosion.
- 12:33SPEAKER_02: And so now you're not freely wanting to say what you need to say, or you're constantly going, are they in the room, or should I watch what I'm saying here?
- 12:41SPEAKER_02: But as 10xers, we always are cognitive of the people around us and we try not to be offensive what we're saying, but yet we should be able to speak freely and not be triggered with that because you could have a jealous advisor who's an emotional landmine, right?
- 12:55SPEAKER_02: You could say, you could say a win that makes them blow up, you know.
- 12:59SPEAKER_02: Well, I tried that and that just didn't work, which then they kind of pull into the being a permanent victim.
- 13:04SPEAKER_02: So, and we'll kind of wrap up a final bow on that when we get to it of how you can have multiple types of people in one person.
- 13:10SPEAKER_02: And that you're really then dealing with stuff that's scary when you're talking about that.
- 13:15SPEAKER_02: Right.
- 13:16SPEAKER_02: Uh, for sure.
- 13:17SPEAKER_02: For sure on that.
- 13:18SPEAKER_02: That was the emotional landmine.
- 13:19SPEAKER_02: Now we're talking about the energy vampires, right?
- 13:24SPEAKER_02: Sucking that energy from you.
- 13:26SPEAKER_02: That's right, man.
- 13:27SPEAKER_02: The energy vampire is consistently drains your emotional, mental, and or physical energy through negativity, constant crisis, or endless demands, right?
- 13:38SPEAKER_02: Like you were talking about earlier.
- 13:39SPEAKER_02: They come out, sit down in your office for an hour and a half just to talk nothing.
- 13:43SPEAKER_02: They're sucking your time.
- 13:45SPEAKER_02: Every interaction feels exhausting, constant complaining with few solutions, always in crisis mode.
- 13:51SPEAKER_02: Conversations revolve around them.
- 13:54SPEAKER_02: And you feel relieved when they leave.
- 13:56SPEAKER_02: You shouldn't feel relieved when someone, it's, I guess it's like the in-laws.
- 13:59SPEAKER_02: Oh my gosh, I'm glad they're gone.
- 14:01SPEAKER_02: Right.
- 14:01SPEAKER_02: We won't tell Courtney, right?
- 14:02SPEAKER_02: We won't tell you.
- 14:04SPEAKER_02: But um, like you talked about, they are draining not just your time, but they're draining your emotion, your mental stability, your physical energy.
- 14:12SPEAKER_02: And that negativity will bring you down.
- 14:14SPEAKER_02: It will, it will drain you.
- 14:16SPEAKER_03: You've talked before about your emotional bank account, right?
- 14:20SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 14:20SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 14:21SPEAKER_02: My emotion, my emotional bank account has been drained before, overdrawn constantly.
- 14:25SPEAKER_02: You know, people don't realize that.
- 14:26SPEAKER_02: Uh Stephen Covey is actually the one that that talks about the emotional bank account.
- 14:30SPEAKER_02: And it's kind of you gotta make, you gotta make draws and deposits on your emotional bank account all the time, right?
- 14:36SPEAKER_02: And everyone is doing that, whether it's on a professional uh basis or a personal basis.
- 14:41SPEAKER_02: But if your emotional bank account is overdrawn, then you have been around an energy vampire for sure.
- 14:48SPEAKER_02: And they consume your time, motivation, and emotional capacity, leaving less energy for your own goals and relationships.
- 14:55SPEAKER_02: Because I don't know about you, like losing a loved one, right?
- 14:58SPEAKER_02: It's it's just emotionally taxing.
- 15:00SPEAKER_02: And what happens is, you know, you don't want to get out of bed the next morning because you're just emotionally drained.
- 15:05SPEAKER_02: Well, if you're around energy vampires all the time, that's what's gonna happen with you for sure on that, right?
- 15:11SPEAKER_02: And the seventh type of person who can destroy your life or business is the one-way street person.
- 15:17SPEAKER_02: They're the ones that expect support, time, and effort from you, but rarely sends it back to you.
- 15:23SPEAKER_02: There's no reciprocity there with them.
- 15:25SPEAKER_02: It's just a one-way street.
- 15:26SPEAKER_02: Give me, give me, give me, give me, give me.
- 15:28SPEAKER_02: I'm gonna take, take, take, take.
- 15:30SPEAKER_02: Calls only when they need something, rarely ask how you're doing, or if you need something, doesn't celebrate your successes, and they expect favors, but don't return them.
- 15:40SPEAKER_02: And the relationship feels constantly unbalanced or the one-sided, where you're constantly giving to them and they're constantly taking, but you never get anything in return.
- 15:49SPEAKER_02: And they would be huge draw on your emotional banking account doing that.
- 15:54SPEAKER_02: And the relationship becomes emotionally and mentally draining because you're doing all the giving while receiving very little in return.
- 16:01SPEAKER_02: So the one-way street person can be very damaging to you for sure.
- 16:06SPEAKER_02: And so a final thought on these seven types of people who control your life is most people may occasionally display one or more of these behaviors during stressful periods.
- 16:15SPEAKER_02: The real concern is when these patterns are consistent, persistent, and resistant to change, especially if they leave you feeling controlled, exhausted, or diminished.
- 16:26SPEAKER_02: Healthy relationships are generally characterized by mutual respect, honest communication, personal accountability, respect for boundaries, support for each other's growth, balanced giving and receiving.
- 16:39SPEAKER_02: That's so key on that.
- 16:40SPEAKER_02: So when someone repeatedly undermines these qualities, it may be worth reevaluating the role they play in your life and business and establishing healthier boundaries, whether it be, hey, I don't have time for this anymore, or literally just calling them out on the rug saying, you are negative.
- 16:56SPEAKER_02: Correct.
- 16:57SPEAKER_02: And hey, no negativity allowed today.
- 17:00SPEAKER_02: Not happening around here.
- 17:02SPEAKER_02: Not happening.
- 17:02SPEAKER_02: Put up the 10x shield.
- 17:04SPEAKER_02: We're out of here, right?
- 17:05SPEAKER_02: So I just wanted to share those seven types of people who can store your life.
- 17:10SPEAKER_02: Because whether you're starting up a business, like if you're a solopreneur right now and you're looking to become an entrepreneur, which means bringing on team members to grow your business, be aware of these seven types of people when you're when you're looking for new hires, right?
- 17:22SPEAKER_02: To expand your team or collaborating with other businesses.
- 17:25SPEAKER_02: Make sure that it's not a one-way street.
- 17:28SPEAKER_02: Make sure you're going to be able to get again, collaboration means working together, exchanging of energy and time and resources back and forth so that you both can win.
- 17:37SPEAKER_02: So that's key on that.
- 17:38SPEAKER_02: Anything else, Robert?
- 17:39SPEAKER_02: Any questions you think on on those seven types?
- 17:42SPEAKER_03: I think this falls right in line with what we talk a lot about in 10X about how we need to really curate our people that are close to us, right?
- 17:50SPEAKER_03: Definitely.
- 17:51SPEAKER_03: Sometimes, especially with these types of people here, sometimes we have a tendency as people to, oh, that's that's just Chris, oh, that's just Joe.
- 18:00SPEAKER_03: They they do that, right?
- 18:02SPEAKER_03: That's just who they are, whatever.
- 18:03SPEAKER_03: Right, right.
- 18:07SPEAKER_03: The impact on you and the impact it's having on your business.
- 18:11SPEAKER_03: So if these behaviors are gonna be persistent and consistent, like you talked about, it's gonna turn into a situation where you need to start trimming those folks out of your life, right?
- 18:22SPEAKER_03: Yep.
- 18:23SPEAKER_02: One one thing that people don't realize is that you will actually mimic and start mirroring the core five people you surround yourself with, right?
- 18:32SPEAKER_02: So if you surround yourself with these type of seven people, you will start absorbing their traits and you will start then mirroring those traits and you'll start seeing yourself spiraling out of control, right?
- 18:45SPEAKER_02: Or losing focus on your 10x goals.
- 18:47SPEAKER_02: We talked about the 10x super life.
- 18:49SPEAKER_02: Uh, we talked out in one of the previous Elevate Insiders we did.
- 18:52SPEAKER_02: And if you lose focus, which is number four in the 13 roles of success, focus on your dreams, which on that dreams, goals, targets, you're gonna lose that.
- 19:00SPEAKER_02: So that's that's that's hard.
- 19:02SPEAKER_02: That's hard for people because they don't like to cut people out of their life, right?
- 19:06SPEAKER_02: But the expression of the old ball and chain isn't just about, you know, when they're talking about being married to somebody.
- 19:11SPEAKER_02: You can be married to a friend, right?
- 19:13SPEAKER_02: Meaning that that friendship you have is like a marriage because you're it's a partnership.
- 19:17SPEAKER_02: But if the other one is so negative all the time, it's so hard to keep your positivity up with them.
- 19:22SPEAKER_02: You may be able to take a little bit of time with them, but man, you're if you're around them a long time, you're gonna start draining your energy bad.
- 19:31SPEAKER_02: They're an energy vampire, sucking the life out of you, literally.
- 19:34SPEAKER_02: Yeah, that negativity can be cancerous on you, just eating you, just eating away at you.
- 19:40SPEAKER_02: It is, and as business owners, so we talked about a solopreneur's become entrepreneurs, but if you are, if you're a successful business right now, but you're not hitting the goals that you are set out to hit, look with inside your team members.
- 19:51SPEAKER_02: Do you have one of these seven types of people in there?
- 19:54SPEAKER_02: Because, like you said, cancer grows and negativity can, I mean, Brandon Dawson talks about it, right?
- 20:00SPEAKER_02: You've got your bottom few percent that are trying to constantly undermine your business, right?
- 20:06SPEAKER_02: Whether they're time sucking or they're bad mouthing or being lazy or whatever it is, you know, purposely doing bad quality on something so that a client is upset and cost you money.
- 20:17SPEAKER_02: And so check it out because sometimes it's hard to cut people, especially if they've been with you for a while.
- 20:23SPEAKER_02: I've had instances where I've had someone in our organization for a long time, like 10 years, and the cancer just kept getting worse.
- 20:30SPEAKER_02: It kept spreading to other team members, and uh we had to make the decision say, hey, you gotta go because you're you're actually affecting the life of this business and taking money out of everyone's pocket by the way you're acting.
- 20:44SPEAKER_02: Right, right, absolutely and and and they're not gonna change.
- 20:47SPEAKER_02: I mean, that's the thing.
- 20:48SPEAKER_02: The older someone gets, the more reluctant to change they are.
- 20:52SPEAKER_02: So I hope this helps someone.
- 20:53SPEAKER_02: I hope it resonates with some people too when they listen to this.
- 20:56SPEAKER_02: And and thanks for the ones that are joining us today on this.
- 20:59SPEAKER_03: Yeah, absolutely.
- 21:00SPEAKER_03: Thank you, Chris.
- 21:00SPEAKER_03: So much great stuff, as always.
- 21:02SPEAKER_03: And for everybody, as Chris just mentioned, hey, take what you learned today and utilize it in your life, right?
- 21:10SPEAKER_03: Sitting here and listening to this once isn't going to do anything for you unless you take what you learned and actually take action and do something with it.
- 21:17SPEAKER_03: So, Chris, appreciate it as always.
- 21:20SPEAKER_03: If anybody's yeah, if anybody wants to work with us on any of this, hey, what could they, where could they go get a hold of you?
- 21:27SPEAKER_02: Hey, they can get a hold of us at our website at big dogbc.
- 21:32SPEAKER_02: That's businesscoaching.com, big dogbc.com.
- 21:36SPEAKER_02: Uh, they can reach out to us on Facebook on our big dog business coaching page.
- 21:40SPEAKER_02: They can drop into our socials.
- 21:42SPEAKER_02: Uh, Chris Hartsuk, you know, DM me on Facebook, Instagram, uh, wherever.
- 21:46SPEAKER_02: We've got TikTok pages, Robert.
- 21:48SPEAKER_02: People, people have they all know how to get a hold of you, buddy.
- 21:50SPEAKER_02: You are Mr.
- 21:51SPEAKER_03: Springfield.
- 21:52SPEAKER_03: There we go.
- 21:53SPEAKER_03: That's the plan, brother.
- 21:54SPEAKER_03: Yeah, don't forget everybody out there designing and building mid Illinois, one home at a time.
- 21:59SPEAKER_03: Yes, our podcast.
- 22:00SPEAKER_03: Mondays and Tuesdays, so make sure you check him out there as well.
- 22:03SPEAKER_03: That's right.
- 22:04SPEAKER_03: I appreciate that.
- 22:04SPEAKER_03: You're absolutely right.
- 22:05SPEAKER_03: So all right, Chris.
- 22:06SPEAKER_03: Well, thank you.
- 22:07SPEAKER_03: And you have the rest good rest of the day, all right?
- 22:09SPEAKER_03: Thanks, sir.
- 22:10SPEAKER_03: Appreciate it.
- 22:11SPEAKER_03: And we are back.
- 22:11SPEAKER_03: Hey, obviously, I am not in the studio, but I am an absolutely gorgeous location right now.
- 22:18SPEAKER_03: And joining me is my business partner at Big Dog Business Coaching, Mr.
- 22:22SPEAKER_03: Chris Hart.
- 22:22SPEAKER_03: So, Chris, how are we doing today?
- 22:24SPEAKER_03: I'm doing great, Robert.
- 22:25SPEAKER_03: Glad to be here.
- 22:26SPEAKER_02: Hey, it is awesome in Miami, isn't it?
- 22:28SPEAKER_02: It is.
- 22:28SPEAKER_02: It's it's I don't know, about nine o'clock at night down here.
- 22:32SPEAKER_02: The breeze is great, the temperature is perfect.
- 22:35SPEAKER_03: And this is what we do.
- 22:36SPEAKER_03: Chris and I came down to a uh 10x business coach mastermind.
- 22:40SPEAKER_03: And after a full day of training, hey, what do we do?
- 22:42SPEAKER_03: Hey, let's go record a podcast and let's get some of that 10X fire out to the elevate audience.
- 22:47SPEAKER_03: So we're down here for two days.
- 22:49SPEAKER_03: It is a specific event just for business coaches that Chris and I are.
- 22:53SPEAKER_03: And like we've mentioned before, Chris is actually a performance coach with Grant Cardone right now.
- 22:58SPEAKER_03: And what is that?
- 22:58SPEAKER_03: One of 36 in the world.
- 23:02SPEAKER_02: Gotta love that.
- 23:03SPEAKER_02: Because we are all around the world.
- 23:05SPEAKER_02: We have Australia.
- 23:06SPEAKER_02: We have uh performance coaches down there, we have performance coaches in England, we have them in France, we have them in Canada, we have them all over America as well.
- 23:16SPEAKER_02: Uh it's an elite group, and Grant Cardone is looking to expand that number of his performance coaches, which this man right here.
- 23:23SPEAKER_02: That's right, he starts in two weeks from Monday.
- 23:26SPEAKER_02: A week from Monday.
- 23:27SPEAKER_02: A week from Monday, because it's two weeks from Monday.
- 23:28SPEAKER_02: Yep.
- 23:29SPEAKER_02: Exactly.
- 23:29SPEAKER_02: He starts the 16-week journey of completing his level six training, and then that gets him to the opportunity to apply for a performance coach position.
- 23:39SPEAKER_02: So he's in, he's locked, he's in, he's he is in 10x.
- 23:43SPEAKER_02: Like someone said today, you cut them, they're gonna bleed 10x.
- 23:45SPEAKER_02: That's right.
- 23:46SPEAKER_03: So that's Robert.
- 23:47SPEAKER_03: We bleed 10x right here.
- 23:48SPEAKER_03: So wherever you are on the Grant Cardone spectrum of coaches, hey, it is our mission to fulfill his mission of reaching 8 billion folks all across the world, and that's what we're gonna do, right?
- 24:00SPEAKER_02: That's right, 8.3 billion at this point.
- 24:02SPEAKER_02: That's right.
- 24:03SPEAKER_02: That number keeps creeping as uh you know the population goes up.
- 24:06SPEAKER_02: That's right.
- 24:06SPEAKER_02: I love how they're gonna they're hopefully they don't get motion sickness show because the wind's got the camera rhyme on them.
- 24:11SPEAKER_02: And it's okay though, because you know what?
- 24:13SPEAKER_02: We are just a little bit away from the 10x corporate headquarters, right there behind me.
- 24:18SPEAKER_02: As you can see us, the two lights you see beaming, that is Cardone Capital, right there, headquarters.
- 24:25SPEAKER_03: That's right.
- 24:25SPEAKER_03: Yeah, that is not us moving around, that is the camera because we got some wind here and we did not bring our good tripod.
- 24:32SPEAKER_03: We've got this one that's doing a little bit of whopping.
- 24:34SPEAKER_03: That's right, that's right.
- 24:35SPEAKER_03: One of the things we go over with all of our clients, and Cardone goes over with all of their clients is his 13 rules of success.
- 24:43SPEAKER_03: So that's what we're gonna talk a little bit about today.
- 24:45SPEAKER_03: Chris, let's get going on it.
- 24:46SPEAKER_03: What's rule number one?
- 24:47SPEAKER_02: Rule number one of the 13 rules of success are show up.
- 24:51SPEAKER_02: You've got to show up to blow up.
- 24:53SPEAKER_02: If you're not there, you're gonna miss out on the opportunities, right?
- 24:55SPEAKER_02: So you've got to make sure, be there, be present, show up, right?
- 24:59SPEAKER_03: That's right.
- 24:59SPEAKER_03: And if you don't show up, you never know what you missed out on.
- 25:02SPEAKER_03: So hey, even if you feel a little FOMO like that, I just gotta already say FOMO, exactly.
- 25:06SPEAKER_03: Use it as a reason to show up.
- 25:08SPEAKER_03: Get out there and get going.
- 25:09SPEAKER_03: Show up.
- 25:10SPEAKER_02: First rule of success.
- 25:11SPEAKER_02: That's right, that's right.
- 25:11SPEAKER_02: And the number two rule rule is the 100% philosophy.
- 25:15SPEAKER_02: That's 100% commit to whatever you're showing up for, right?
- 25:19SPEAKER_02: If you don't commit, why do it, right?
- 25:21SPEAKER_03: What does Grant say about walls?
- 25:23SPEAKER_03: Hey, hit the wall and go through that wall.
- 25:25SPEAKER_03: That's what GC always says.
- 25:26SPEAKER_03: So are you 100% committed to what you are doing?
- 25:30SPEAKER_03: Are you ready to go fully toward failure, toward that thing you're committed to?
- 25:35SPEAKER_03: Because if you're not, you're not 100% committed.
- 25:37SPEAKER_02: That's right.
- 25:38SPEAKER_02: And I always say, look beyond the wall, because then as you look beyond the wall as your target, you will blast through that wall and anything in your way.
- 25:45SPEAKER_02: So 100% philosophy, commit, right?
- 25:47SPEAKER_02: Number three on that list is give, give, give.
- 25:50SPEAKER_02: Give everything you've got to this process.
- 25:52SPEAKER_03: Give everything you got to reaching your target, right?
- 25:56SPEAKER_03: Everything we've done with GC and the team at 10X, they give, yeah, they give, give, give to us.
- 26:03SPEAKER_03: Every program that we've been a part of, it's always been so much more than what you originally say you quote unquote signed up for or paid for.
- 26:11SPEAKER_03: It's always much, much more than that.
- 26:13SPEAKER_02: It is, it is, because they are doing the number four rule of success, which is focusing on their dreams, which is focus your dreams.
- 26:20SPEAKER_02: And that word dreams can be interchanged with target or goals.
- 26:23SPEAKER_02: So focus on your targets, set those targets, set those dreams, whatever they are, beyond whatever you think they can be.
- 26:29SPEAKER_02: And what are some of the areas people should have targets around?
- 26:33SPEAKER_02: Well, they should have targets one on their uh spiritual, right?
- 26:39SPEAKER_02: Familial, recreational, professional, income, and wealth.
- 26:44SPEAKER_02: Absolutely.
- 26:44SPEAKER_02: Yep, and physical.
- 26:45SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 26:46SPEAKER_02: Physical as well.
- 26:47SPEAKER_02: There's seven pillars there in that 10x super life that Grant talks about, right?
- 26:50SPEAKER_02: So setting those targets in those, each one of those seven, and one thing I talk to our clients about is in those, when you look at the 10x superlife exercise, you've got income, wealth, physical, spiritual, familial, uh, recreational, professional.
- 27:05SPEAKER_02: The three in the middle, the physical, spiritual, and familial, they're in the middle as your core pillars.
- 27:11SPEAKER_02: When those three are strong and on point, your other outliers will come into play.
- 27:15SPEAKER_02: And that's what I tell our clients all the time: focus on those three, make those strong, and those other four will come into place there.
- 27:22SPEAKER_03: Absolutely.
- 27:22SPEAKER_03: And if you're a fan of Elevate Springfield and you've listened to all these episodes, and I know you have, you probably heard about that 10X Super Life because I've done a full episode on it on Separation Saturday.
- 27:32SPEAKER_03: So if you want a little bit more on the Super Life, search for Super Life in the Elevate Springfield search bar.
- 27:38SPEAKER_02: Out of all the 250 plus that you've done, and congratulations on giving the 250th episode earlier this week or last week.
- 27:46SPEAKER_02: Last week.
- 27:47SPEAKER_02: Last week, yeah.
- 27:48SPEAKER_02: No, that's awesome.
- 27:48SPEAKER_02: That's awesome.
- 27:49SPEAKER_02: So that brings us to number five.
- 27:51SPEAKER_02: Exercise.
- 27:51SPEAKER_02: Take care of your energy unit.
- 27:53SPEAKER_02: That's your core, right?
- 27:54SPEAKER_02: Take care of your body, your spirit, and mind.
- 27:56SPEAKER_02: And again, that ties into those three centered pillars on the super life.
- 28:00SPEAKER_03: And again, if you're an Elevate fan, you know on Fridays we have our health and wellness segments.
- 28:04SPEAKER_03: Hey, you're starting to see a theme here on how some of my segments are actually prepared for you guys.
- 28:10SPEAKER_02: Exemplifies the number five of the 13 rules of success.
- 28:14SPEAKER_02: It's Robert.
- 28:15SPEAKER_02: Exercise, taking care of that energy unit.
- 28:17SPEAKER_02: He takes care of it, he watches everything that goes in his body.
- 28:20SPEAKER_02: And I don't mean like I do, I watch the piece of food that goes through my mouth.
- 28:23SPEAKER_02: He watches what he ingests into his body, right?
- 28:26SPEAKER_02: And how he takes care of that.
- 28:28SPEAKER_02: So, number six, which is food is fuel.
- 28:30SPEAKER_02: There you go.
- 28:30SPEAKER_02: Right?
- 28:31SPEAKER_02: Food is fuel.
- 28:32SPEAKER_02: That's again, you gotta watch what you put in your body.
- 28:34SPEAKER_02: Robert is a true example of that.
- 28:36SPEAKER_02: Whole foods, y'all, we talk about it all the time on our wellness upgrade segments.
- 28:41SPEAKER_02: Number seven on the 13 rules of success is change your attitude, thoughts, and words, right?
- 28:47SPEAKER_02: So what we hear is what you think is what you say, what you say is what you do, and what you do is ultimately what people remember you by.
- 28:53SPEAKER_02: So clean thoughts, positive thoughts, negative crap out the window.
- 28:58SPEAKER_02: Just no negativity allowed, right here.
- 28:59SPEAKER_02: We wear it because it's the way we live our life, and everyone should live their life.
- 29:03SPEAKER_02: Because it's it's amazing.
- 29:04SPEAKER_02: The longer you live your life with no negativity, you can almost sense it when you walk into a room.
- 29:08SPEAKER_02: It's like, ooh, there's some negative crap in here, right?
- 29:11SPEAKER_03: So definitely change your attitude, thoughts, and words.
- 29:14SPEAKER_03: With changing your attitudes, thoughts, and words, how do you change some of the things from outside getting into you?
- 29:19SPEAKER_03: What are some of those other negative things you need to clean out of your life?
- 29:23SPEAKER_02: Well, they say that you resemble and model the five closest people you surround yourself with, right?
- 29:29SPEAKER_02: So sometimes people have to cut those negative people out of their life that they've been long life friends with.
- 29:34SPEAKER_02: Right.
- 29:34SPEAKER_02: But they just can't seem to get up and out of their own way to see the positive in life, right?
- 29:40SPEAKER_02: Right.
- 29:40SPEAKER_02: And so sometimes you gotta get away from that negative energy and you get and you just gotta do that.
- 29:45SPEAKER_03: No doubt about it.
- 29:46SPEAKER_03: And the negative news.
- 29:47SPEAKER_03: Ah shit.
- 29:48SPEAKER_03: Replace it with some personal development, you'll see a change in the world.
- 29:50SPEAKER_02: In the morning media, I used, yeah, years ago I used to turn the news on every morning.
- 29:53SPEAKER_02: What's going on in the world, right?
- 29:55SPEAKER_02: What's the negative crap happening, all that?
- 29:56SPEAKER_02: Now, boom, Cardone University.
- 29:59SPEAKER_02: I am I am feeding myself with positive energy every morning, how to do stuff better, how to align myself more into the 10x ecosystem, and that's what it's about.
- 30:08SPEAKER_02: Because number eight on that list is the more you learn, the more you earn, right?
- 30:13SPEAKER_02: Absolutely.
- 30:14SPEAKER_02: Educate yourself in positive things.
- 30:16SPEAKER_03: We just talked about positive things.
- 30:18SPEAKER_03: And that doesn't mean, hey, I gotta go to college right now, then I gotta go get a master's degree, then I gotta go do a doctoral thesis.
- 30:24SPEAKER_03: That does not mean that.
- 30:25SPEAKER_03: No, it means, hey, how you doing, Robert?
- 30:27SPEAKER_02: Yeah, glad to meet you, right?
- 30:28SPEAKER_02: Communication, communication skills.
- 30:30SPEAKER_02: You don't have to learn that in college, you don't have to learn in school.
- 30:33SPEAKER_02: Watch it on Cardone U.
- 30:34SPEAKER_02: That's right.
- 30:34SPEAKER_02: Grant Cardone will teach you how to talk to people, how to interact with them, how to be positive.
- 30:39SPEAKER_02: Dave Robards, oh, number one sales guy for Grant Cardone.
- 30:43SPEAKER_02: Dave Robards, he's like, oh, he's got that smile on his face, right?
- 30:46SPEAKER_02: Brother Dave.
- 30:46SPEAKER_02: That's right.
- 30:47SPEAKER_02: Hope this doesn't too cheesy for you, Dave.
- 30:49SPEAKER_03: Right.
- 30:50SPEAKER_03: Well, and we what we learned today, too, we've learned it before, but they said it again today is if somebody out there is successful in the area that you want to be successful in, they know something that you don't know, right?
- 31:00SPEAKER_03: So go ask them, hey, what do you you know, learn from them?
- 31:03SPEAKER_03: Yeah, how did you get where you are?
- 31:05SPEAKER_03: How did you get there?
- 31:06SPEAKER_02: Right, because they weren't just born into it.
- 31:08SPEAKER_02: And that's the thing.
- 31:09SPEAKER_02: Majority of people in the 10x ecosystem, they brought themselves up into the ecosystem and became successful because of what Grant has gone through and Grant has put on paper, then cassette, and then DVD, right, and then now digital and streaming.
- 31:24SPEAKER_02: And you know, you can't go anywhere without seeing the 10x, Grant Cardone, and everything that he does.
- 31:29SPEAKER_02: And that's the key thing, because he does take number nine to heart is take responsibility for all results, good or bad, right?
- 31:37SPEAKER_02: If you if something bad happens, take it on the chin.
- 31:40SPEAKER_02: I accept all responsibility for that.
- 31:42SPEAKER_02: I'm gonna learn from it, but I'm not gonna quit, right?
- 31:44SPEAKER_02: Because failure only comes when you quit.
- 31:46SPEAKER_02: So we don't quit.
- 31:47SPEAKER_02: Take responsibility.
- 31:48SPEAKER_02: And the good stuff, don't be afraid to say, hey, I did a good job.
- 31:52SPEAKER_03: Robert, you did a good job.
- 31:53SPEAKER_03: Exactly.
- 31:54SPEAKER_03: Exactly.
- 31:55SPEAKER_03: Responsibility for both the wins and the losses and everything in between.
- 31:59SPEAKER_03: That's right.
- 31:59SPEAKER_02: And if you do have losses, number 10 is always move forward.
- 32:03SPEAKER_02: Don't dwell in the past.
- 32:05SPEAKER_02: The old expression about the rear view mirror is a smaller than the windshield for a reason.
- 32:09SPEAKER_02: It's true in life.
- 32:10SPEAKER_02: Don't look back.
- 32:12SPEAKER_02: Learn from what happened and always move forward.
- 32:15SPEAKER_02: Always move forward.
- 32:16SPEAKER_02: You may hear the expression two steps forward, one step back, or one step forward, two steps back, whatever it is.
- 32:21SPEAKER_02: Always though, get the momentum going forward.
- 32:23SPEAKER_02: Absolutely.
- 32:24SPEAKER_02: Number 11.
- 32:25SPEAKER_02: Ready for it.
- 32:26SPEAKER_03: Prosperity attitude.
- 32:28SPEAKER_03: Oh, this one can be tougher to me sometimes.
- 32:30SPEAKER_03: Prosperity attitude means anything and everything is possible to me if I put in the work to be able to get there.
- 32:35SPEAKER_03: Abundance.
- 32:36SPEAKER_03: And abundance.
- 32:37SPEAKER_03: And there is no scarcity in my life.
- 32:39SPEAKER_03: There's plenty of money, there's plenty of love, there's plenty of everything out there.
- 32:42SPEAKER_03: We just got to go get it.
- 32:43SPEAKER_03: That's right.
- 32:43SPEAKER_02: And I love Grant's uh analogy of this about the ocean, right?
- 32:48SPEAKER_02: If you go to the ocean, everyone knows the ocean, gosh, it's huge, it's fast.
- 32:52SPEAKER_02: So is the money in the world, right?
- 32:53SPEAKER_02: And other things in the world, the love and energy and all that, right?
- 32:56SPEAKER_02: So if you go up to the ocean and you take a five-gallon bucket and you carry as many five-gallon buckets as you want out of that ocean, back and forth, back and forth until you drop, that ocean is not gonna change.
- 33:07SPEAKER_02: And that's the way the economy is, the prosperity, it's out there.
- 33:10SPEAKER_02: You've just got to figure out I wanna go get it.
- 33:13SPEAKER_03: I want to go get it.
- 33:14SPEAKER_03: Absolutely.
- 33:14SPEAKER_03: And far too many times, especially for folks that are stuck in that middle class mindset that GC talks about a lot, right?
- 33:20SPEAKER_03: Which level of middle class, though.
- 33:22SPEAKER_03: Right.
- 33:22SPEAKER_03: There's like three levels around.
- 33:24SPEAKER_03: Right.
- 33:24SPEAKER_03: But it's all in his philosophy of average is a failing formula.
- 33:28SPEAKER_03: So anything in the middle class would be average.
- 33:30SPEAKER_03: None of us want to be average.
- 33:32SPEAKER_03: So we're pushing through those limiting beliefs, knowing that there is abundance out there for all of us to take advantage of.
- 33:37SPEAKER_03: Definitely.
- 33:38SPEAKER_03: And that brings up, why don't you go ahead and remind us what those four levels of action are?
- 33:41SPEAKER_03: Absolutely.
- 33:41SPEAKER_03: So we've got no action, we've got retreat actually backing away from that target or goal.
- 33:47SPEAKER_03: Not moving forward, like number 10.
- 33:48SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 33:48SPEAKER_03: And then number three, we've got average action, which if you've listened to the show before, you've heard me say many, many times is the most dangerous level of action.
- 33:57SPEAKER_03: And then four, it's where us 10Xers want to live at all times, and that's massive action, Chris.
- 34:02SPEAKER_03: So that's remind them what massive action is.
- 34:05SPEAKER_02: Massive action is going above and beyond what the normal person would do to take and make something happen.
- 34:11SPEAKER_02: If it normally takes you 30 minutes to get more ready in the morning or your shower, your routine, get dressed, eat, and all that, take massive action.
- 34:17SPEAKER_02: I do it in 15.
- 34:19SPEAKER_02: Just challenge yourself.
- 34:20SPEAKER_02: Just challenge yourself to always do something better than you did it before.
- 34:23SPEAKER_02: That 1% increase goal, right?
- 34:26SPEAKER_02: Yep.
- 34:27SPEAKER_02: Be 1% better today than you were yesterday.
- 34:29SPEAKER_02: And by the end of the year, you'd be 365% better than you were at the beginning.
- 34:33SPEAKER_02: Completely different.
- 34:33SPEAKER_02: It is, it is.
- 34:34SPEAKER_02: And even if it's just one minuscule thing that you change a day to the positive, it's better than you were the day before.
- 34:39SPEAKER_02: So make it happen.
- 34:40SPEAKER_02: And that comes up to number 12, which is consistency.
- 34:43SPEAKER_02: And this is so key.
- 34:44SPEAKER_02: I know you're consistent in your daily routine.
- 34:47SPEAKER_02: Hit us what consistency means to you.
- 34:49SPEAKER_03: Yeah, consistency to me is the discipline to do what you need to do to achieve your goals without needing motivation, is consistency to me.
- 34:57SPEAKER_03: Being able to be disciplined in the fact that, hey, this is what I need to do every single day, day in and day out, to be able to reach the targets that I've set for myself, which you know they're 10X targets, right, brother.
- 35:07SPEAKER_03: So that's right.
- 35:08SPEAKER_03: That's what consistency is to me.
- 35:09SPEAKER_03: You don't need motivation when you have consistent discipline in your life.
- 35:14SPEAKER_02: And consistency for a business is creating repeatable systems in place, right?
- 35:19SPEAKER_02: Those SOPs, standard operating procedures, getting consistent at those and how they work.
- 35:24SPEAKER_02: That way, if for some reason someone leaves the company, someone new comes in, they can pick up those SOPs and be consistent in what your business was running day to day.
- 35:34SPEAKER_02: Because as Brandon Dawson tells us, consistency plus velocity equals revenue.
- 35:39SPEAKER_02: And then if you have the consistency there on your systems, you crank up that velocity, which means you're cranking up more revenue.
- 35:44SPEAKER_02: Absolutely.
- 35:45SPEAKER_02: So consistency velocity equals revenue.
- 35:47SPEAKER_02: Absolutely love that.
- 35:48SPEAKER_03: I love it too.
- 35:49SPEAKER_03: I was I was about to say, I know you have a phrase on consistency that we learned from learned from I do because I love that.
- 35:56SPEAKER_02: Because when I heard him say that again at the business summit in March, I was just like, it just resonated with me so much because I'm a business owner, you're a business owner, and it just resonated.
- 36:06SPEAKER_02: It just makes it so simple, right?
- 36:08SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 36:09SPEAKER_02: Get the consistency of your systems.
- 36:11SPEAKER_02: And again, health-wise, right?
- 36:13SPEAKER_02: Daily routine.
- 36:14SPEAKER_02: I have a time I get up every morning.
- 36:16SPEAKER_02: I know what time I'm getting up.
- 36:17SPEAKER_02: I immediately pop on and do my card owned training.
- 36:20SPEAKER_02: I get that done out of the way.
- 36:21SPEAKER_02: Then I'm brushing my teeth, I'm showering, right?
- 36:23SPEAKER_02: I'm getting the fuel, food is fuel, number six, the energy for the body.
- 36:27SPEAKER_02: So it's amazing how all 13 of these go together.
- 36:30SPEAKER_02: Because number 13, as you mentioned it earlier, it's go for failure.
- 36:34SPEAKER_02: Right?
- 36:35SPEAKER_02: And going for failure means there is no failure unless you quit.
- 36:38SPEAKER_02: And so it means don't quit.
- 36:40SPEAKER_02: If something doesn't go the way you thought it would, back up, look at it, then move forward again faster and harder through the wall.
- 36:47SPEAKER_02: Because it's amazing how all these greats, John Maxwell, Grant Cardone, Brandon Dawson, Stephen Covey, I mean they all all these things come together and they just make sense.
- 36:57SPEAKER_02: One of the laws of attraction is picture, right?
- 37:00SPEAKER_02: The the law of picture.
- 37:02SPEAKER_02: If you can't see it, you can't plan for it, which means you can't obtain it.
- 37:07SPEAKER_02: So that means you gotta see that target.
- 37:09SPEAKER_02: You gotta see if my target is to be on the other side of that wall, then I've got to see beyond that wall and go through it.
- 37:15SPEAKER_02: And that's that's the point of go for failure.
- 37:17SPEAKER_02: Right.
- 37:17SPEAKER_02: And here's the last thing on that never, ever lower your target.
- 37:22SPEAKER_02: Exactly right.
- 37:23SPEAKER_02: Never, never.
- 37:23SPEAKER_02: Grant Cardone admitted this.
- 37:25SPEAKER_02: He he said it, we were at his house uh back in March.
- 37:28SPEAKER_02: Yep, and he said he has never hit a target he's set.
- 37:31SPEAKER_02: And what that means, it doesn't mean he's failed.
- 37:33SPEAKER_02: That means the closer he got to a target, he raised that target.
- 37:36SPEAKER_02: Right?
- 37:37SPEAKER_02: Because he's like, shit, we're gonna hit this target, right?
- 37:39SPEAKER_02: We're gonna raise it.
- 37:40SPEAKER_02: He kept increasing the level of massive action for him and his team.
- 37:44SPEAKER_02: And that to me is going for failure.
- 37:46SPEAKER_02: And that's why these 13 rules, and you can find them online too, but 13 rules, uh, my clients print them out, they look at it every day, and they follow that.
- 37:54SPEAKER_02: Absolutely.
- 37:55SPEAKER_02: Here's one of the things that that we'll tell our clients, and if you if you look like these, listen to us on this.
- 38:02SPEAKER_02: If you ever get stuck, just look at the list and go, what am I not doing on this list?
- 38:08SPEAKER_02: And be like, oh my gosh, it's number seven.
- 38:10SPEAKER_02: My attitude, it's wrong, right?
- 38:12SPEAKER_02: And you'll be like, all right, I gotta correct it.
- 38:14SPEAKER_02: Or your attitude's wrong because you need to do number eight, which is learn more so you can earn more, right?
- 38:20SPEAKER_02: It's all about that positive mentality because everything is possible as long as you're rolling and take that first step towards doing it.
- 38:27SPEAKER_02: Because it is the starting that stops everyone.
- 38:30SPEAKER_02: Right?
- 38:30SPEAKER_02: Absolutely.
- 38:31SPEAKER_02: I had a client earlier this week that when I was talking to him, he was gonna do reach outs, he's gonna do calls, right?
- 38:36SPEAKER_02: Cold calls, right?
- 38:37SPEAKER_02: He had 250 people on his list.
- 38:38SPEAKER_02: It's been on his list two weeks.
- 38:40SPEAKER_02: I said, Hey, did you make those calls?
- 38:41SPEAKER_02: I know no, I had this come up.
- 38:43SPEAKER_02: I'm like, how about we roll play real quick?
- 38:45SPEAKER_02: You you calling me as a cold call, right?
- 38:48SPEAKER_02: Someone that you've done work for in the past, but let's do a cold call exercise.
- 38:51SPEAKER_02: And you know what?
- 38:52SPEAKER_02: We did it, we walked through it, and then I immediately flipped it, and I became him, and I roleplayed him, and within 30 seconds, he's like, I got it.
- 38:59SPEAKER_02: I got it.
- 39:00SPEAKER_02: Yep.
- 39:00SPEAKER_02: It's just doing what you gotta do, checking the list, you know, it's like Santa Claus.
- 39:05SPEAKER_02: Right.
- 39:05SPEAKER_02: Roll it twice.
- 39:07SPEAKER_02: Role play is huge, too.
- 39:08SPEAKER_02: And so many people don't do that.
- 39:10SPEAKER_02: How important is that?
- 39:11SPEAKER_02: I used to be anti-roleplay.
- 39:12SPEAKER_02: I swear, when I started first got into the 10x ecosystem, I was like role-playing, ah, that's for that's for sissies.
- 39:19SPEAKER_02: I don't need to roleplay.
- 39:20SPEAKER_02: I know what I'm doing, I know what I'm saying.
- 39:21SPEAKER_02: No one knows my trade better than me.
- 39:24SPEAKER_02: Right.
- 39:24SPEAKER_02: And then I realized, oh crap, I do need to role play.
- 39:28SPEAKER_02: Right.
- 39:28SPEAKER_02: And the more that we both got into the ecosystem of 10x and became coaches, it's what it's about.
- 39:34SPEAKER_02: Because if we can't help our clients when we're coaching them, then why are we a coach?
- 39:38SPEAKER_02: Right?
- 39:39SPEAKER_02: And why are we doing these podcasts?
- 39:40SPEAKER_02: Right.
- 39:41SPEAKER_02: We're doing it to educate people, right?
- 39:43SPEAKER_02: On how they can be better 1% a day.
- 39:45SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 39:46SPEAKER_03: And you mentioned the targets.
- 39:47SPEAKER_03: You said as a 10x target, you're gonna keep increasing.
- 39:50SPEAKER_03: It's correct.
- 39:51SPEAKER_03: But that is completely different than the normal average mindset, isn't it?
- 39:55SPEAKER_03: Most times, if your sales team is not quite gonna hit your target, well, let's let's recalibrate.
- 40:00SPEAKER_03: Let's let's recalibrate that to where we think we're actually gonna be.
- 40:04SPEAKER_02: Jimmy was out sick for a week, so we lost a week of sales production.
- 40:07SPEAKER_02: Well, we'll take off a percentage of that because of that.
- 40:09SPEAKER_02: No, right, no, everyone else on that team should pick up the slack and blow through that.
- 40:14SPEAKER_03: A lot of what, yeah, and a lot of what we talk about is that mindset shift, right?
- 40:18SPEAKER_03: So when you're doing that, when you're lowering that target for the you or the entire team, what does that do to the mindset?
- 40:24SPEAKER_02: It just means it's okay to fail.
- 40:25SPEAKER_02: Yeah, right?
- 40:26SPEAKER_02: It means okay, we adjust it this time.
- 40:28SPEAKER_02: If we miss up later, we can lower it again.
- 40:30SPEAKER_02: And it's just the wrong way to think about it.
- 40:32SPEAKER_02: Always think of the reverse.
- 40:33SPEAKER_02: Let's take it higher, let's take it higher and higher.
- 40:36SPEAKER_02: And then what do we have to do to reach that?
- 40:39SPEAKER_03: Set a plan in place and make it happen.
- 40:41SPEAKER_03: And Chris, all this stuff here that we've talked about today and that we talk about on Elevate Springfield and on your podcast, Designing Building Mid-Illinois, all this 10X stuff.
- 40:50SPEAKER_03: Remind everybody who we learned that from and some of the backing that they have and some of the things they've done that show the impact of this curriculum, of this mindset, of all these strategies.
- 41:01SPEAKER_03: Oh my gosh, we learned this from Grant Cardone, right?
- 41:04SPEAKER_02: Louisiana boy, Grant Cardone, as Jared Glenn said today, right?
- 41:08SPEAKER_02: President of CTTI.
- 41:10SPEAKER_02: Grant has the backing of, I mean, they have 200 and how many employees they say, 268.
- 41:15SPEAKER_02: I've got another day.
- 41:17SPEAKER_02: Two interviewing there today as well, right?
- 41:19SPEAKER_02: That backing and it's decades, decades of life experience and life application to thousands of other businesses.
- 41:27SPEAKER_02: I think they've with Cardo and Capital or 1 billion, 300,000 million, I mean, they're like I think it was almost two billion today.
- 41:34SPEAKER_02: Was it almost two billion?
- 41:35SPEAKER_03: 1.93 something, something.
- 41:37SPEAKER_02: So so he he is able to bring with his systems in place people and accessibility to abundance, that prosperity mindset, right?
- 41:46SPEAKER_02: And he has transformed the lives of thousands and thousands of people.
- 41:50SPEAKER_02: And his goal is to reach, like we mentioned earlier, 8.3 billion people in the world, not to be godlike in his sense, but he wants them to know that anything is possible and abundance is out there if they take that advantage to it.
- 42:04SPEAKER_02: And he's leveraging us as coaches to help get his message out to everybody.
- 42:08SPEAKER_03: Absolutely.
- 42:08SPEAKER_03: Another thing they mentioned today, they've had 1.3 million customers now.
- 42:13SPEAKER_03: Those have been business owners and businesses that they've been able to make an impact across the United States and across the world, as we heard today from some of our fellow coaches.
- 42:22SPEAKER_03: Yes.
- 42:23SPEAKER_03: Yes, exactly.
- 42:24SPEAKER_02: Yeah, we had uh the table I was sitting with at lunch, because it was a networking lunch.
- 42:27SPEAKER_02: Uh I had someone from Russia, uh, Netherlands, Canada, uh, where's the gentleman from?
- 42:32SPEAKER_02: Europe somewhere.
- 42:33SPEAKER_02: We had United Nations at our table at lunch today.
- 42:36SPEAKER_02: Right.
- 42:37SPEAKER_02: Right.
- 42:37SPEAKER_02: Because that's what this 10x ecosystem does, is it brings everyone together on the same common level of platform of systems.
- 42:45SPEAKER_02: The system wheel we talked about, the seven steps on that wheel.
- 42:48SPEAKER_02: Yep.
- 42:48SPEAKER_02: You know, we you've talked about it before, I've talked about it before, and we go through it with all our clients, right?
- 42:52SPEAKER_02: Number one is target.
- 42:54SPEAKER_02: Yep.
- 42:54SPEAKER_02: Number four on the 13 rules of success, right?
- 42:56SPEAKER_02: Focus on your targets.
- 42:58SPEAKER_02: And then you have number two, which is attention, which is the marketing aspect of that, right?
- 43:02SPEAKER_02: Right.
- 43:03SPEAKER_02: To get to number three, which is your leads.
- 43:05SPEAKER_02: If you don't have leads, a business can't sell their stuff, right?
- 43:08SPEAKER_02: And then if you got leads, you got to be able to manage those.
- 43:10SPEAKER_03: That's number four, right?
- 43:11SPEAKER_03: Lead management.
- 43:11SPEAKER_02: Then number five, that brings up the sales.
- 43:13SPEAKER_02: So you've got the attention, which is the marketing, to help you get to your target.
- 43:17SPEAKER_02: You got the leads, now we're managing those leads.
- 43:19SPEAKER_02: Now we're gonna sell to them.
- 43:20SPEAKER_02: That's number five on that wheel.
- 43:22SPEAKER_02: That's right.
- 43:22SPEAKER_02: And then it's managing that after that.
- 43:24SPEAKER_02: Sales management, which is which is the revenue management of that wheel, right?
- 43:27SPEAKER_02: Number six.
- 43:28SPEAKER_02: Number seven is the big one.
- 43:29SPEAKER_02: It's scale.
- 43:30SPEAKER_02: Scale, blow up, right?
- 43:32SPEAKER_02: Show up the blow up, right?
- 43:34SPEAKER_02: Number one, and sometimes you can then start right back on number one with a new target, which is either bigger in the same uh direction you're heading and just blow it up bigger, make that wheel bigger, right?
- 43:45SPEAKER_02: Or number one could be a spin-off of that business division and create that same system again, right?
- 43:51SPEAKER_02: Which you should be able to go faster because you already know how to do the attention and marketing.
- 43:55SPEAKER_02: You may have to change up how you do it on what the content is, but you're leading.
- 44:00SPEAKER_02: Management, your leads, sales, all that can roll.
- 44:02SPEAKER_03: Absolutely.
- 44:03SPEAKER_03: It's amazing.
- 44:04SPEAKER_03: And each one of those, the one, two, three, four that we just talked about, all have systems within those systems.
- 44:08SPEAKER_03: They do.
- 44:09SPEAKER_03: All the go around the all around the wheel.
- 44:11SPEAKER_02: And people people probably don't even think that number one has systems, but there are systems to put your targets in place.
- 44:16SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 44:17SPEAKER_02: Right?
- 44:17SPEAKER_02: The 10x Super Life exercise.
- 44:19SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 44:19SPEAKER_02: That is a system to go through that to identify what your targets are.
- 44:23SPEAKER_02: Because do you go on the Super Life?
- 44:25SPEAKER_02: Did you go through all five steps of that?
- 44:26SPEAKER_02: I did.
- 44:27SPEAKER_02: I did.
- 44:27SPEAKER_02: Went through the whole thing.
- 44:28SPEAKER_02: So everyone will know you develop your targets and then you 10X them.
- 44:30SPEAKER_02: Yep.
- 44:31SPEAKER_02: That's number two on there, 10X them.
- 44:33SPEAKER_02: And then what do you have to change?
- 44:34SPEAKER_02: What do you have to give up?
- 44:35SPEAKER_02: And what do you have to learn?
- 44:36SPEAKER_02: So it is amazing how much Grant has put all this stuff together and it's accessible, right?
- 44:42SPEAKER_02: It's accessible to us and to you through us.
- 44:45SPEAKER_03: Through us.
- 44:46SPEAKER_03: Yes.
- 44:46SPEAKER_03: Exactly.
- 44:46SPEAKER_03: That's right.
- 44:47SPEAKER_03: So with that target, the systems within there too, millionaire math.
- 44:51SPEAKER_03: We've talked about that all the time, right?
- 44:52SPEAKER_03: Millionaire math.
- 44:52SPEAKER_03: How are you going to get to where you want to be?
- 44:53SPEAKER_03: Whether that's$1 million,$10 million,$100 million, how many do you need to sell?
- 44:58SPEAKER_03: Once you figure out how many need to sell, how many calls you need to make to get that many appointments, et cetera, right?
- 45:02SPEAKER_02: How many people do you need to make those appointments and sales to get to that million dollars or 10 million or 100 million or 1 billion, whatever that is, right?
- 45:08SPEAKER_02: Right.
- 45:09SPEAKER_02: Because nine figures is not out of the question, right, to make that happen.
- 45:13SPEAKER_02: So Miami's live tonight with the sirens.
- 45:15SPEAKER_03: It is.
- 45:15SPEAKER_03: No, we're looking forward to another great day right over there at 10X headquarters tomorrow.
- 45:20SPEAKER_03: Another fun day of learning and networking with other business coaches, but also learning a lot from the world-class 10X team that we have at our disposal here.
- 45:29SPEAKER_03: Definitely, definitely.
- 45:30SPEAKER_03: Chris, any parting words?
- 45:32SPEAKER_02: I tell you what, just stay positive.
- 45:34SPEAKER_02: If you need more information, reach out to us in the show notes.

- 45:42SPEAKER_02: Absolutely.

- 45:44SPEAKER_03: Well, Chris, had fun chatting with you tonight after a full day of training rally.
- 45:48SPEAKER_03: I'm ready to hit it again tomorrow.

- 45:49SPEAKER_03: Well, I'm gonna let Chris get back to Elevate in Springfield while we're 10X in Miami down here, y'all.
- 45:55SPEAKER_03: That's right.
- 45:56SPEAKER_03: And we'll be back after the break.
- 45:58SPEAKER_02: Hey, thanks for joining us today for this special edition where we're talking about the seven people who can destroy your life, right?
- 46:04SPEAKER_02: Make sure you uh do an inventory.
- 46:06SPEAKER_02: Inventory the people around you, team members, family members, even.
- 46:09SPEAKER_02: I hate to say it, but you do that.
- 46:11SPEAKER_02: Also, how do you measure up to those 13 rules of success?
- 46:15SPEAKER_02: Did you uh go through and go, hmm, I already do a couple of them already?
- 46:19SPEAKER_02: Hey, those are good ideas.
