- 2:28Speaker 1: I want to give you a y'all flowers. We usually
- 2:30Speaker 1: do it at the end. You guys have been doing
- 2:32Speaker 1: an excellent job, and I never forget. I can't remember
- 2:37Speaker 1: how many years ago this was. I was just taking
- 2:39Speaker 1: my daughter to school and Drea has a distinctive voice, right.
- 2:44Speaker 1: I listened to the Breafast Club. I was like, how
- 2:47Speaker 1: is dre Wait? Wait, wait, what's going on? Charlemagne was
- 2:51Speaker 1: interviewing y'all. Y'all was on the Brefast Club, and the
- 2:54Speaker 1: fact that he was so in tune with what y'all
- 2:56Speaker 1: had going on. This is a couple of years ago.
- 2:57Speaker 1: I want to say. It was just so dope to
- 2:59Speaker 1: hear you y'all on the radio, and it made me
- 3:04Speaker 1: go listen to your podcasts. I don't really listen. I
- 3:07Speaker 1: actually sometimes rarely listen to ours because I don't like
- 3:10Speaker 1: listening to myself. So it made me go listen to
- 3:12Speaker 1: y'all podcasts, and I don't sometimes I don't like listening
- 3:15Speaker 1: to other people podcasts because it made me look at
- 3:17Speaker 1: them a little different. I they saying some crazy shit,
- 3:20Speaker 1: y'all podcast is so organically good. I can tell y'all cool. Yeah.
- 3:25Speaker 1: So I want to give y'all flowers because and then
- 3:29Speaker 1: we started seeing y'all out, well we was out. I
- 3:31Speaker 1: was like, damn, okay, theyre bt They everywhere everywhere we at,
- 3:35Speaker 1: and we everywhere y'all at, And I just thought it
- 3:38Speaker 1: was one of the dopest things to see y'all because
- 3:40Speaker 1: you know, I don't see y'all.
- 3:42Speaker 2: Do y'all have.
- 3:43Speaker 1: Management or anything? Yeah, yeah, five, yeah, Okay, that's it's
- 3:50Speaker 1: just dope to see y'all moving and grooving. Y'all ship
- 3:53Speaker 1: is successful. People y'all have fans, people really really rock with.
- 3:57Speaker 2: The women love y'all. I think women, yeah, I mean.
- 4:02Speaker 3: I would say it's equal now these days it's hard
- 4:06Speaker 3: to go.
- 4:06Speaker 2: Women loved y'all for the right reasons. I think the.
- 4:11Speaker 4: Guys would be like, oh, they fine, they fine, watched
- 4:14Speaker 4: this on youute it's fired. Don't say stuff like that.
- 4:16Speaker 4: But actually in the Washington with the girl or the
- 4:19Speaker 4: wife or something.
- 4:19Speaker 1: Like, oh this is actually I want to give you
- 4:22Speaker 1: all y'all flowers. Thank y'all for all that y'all contribute
- 4:26Speaker 1: to the culture. Because Dre. We was in the trenches together.
- 4:29Speaker 1: She me Andrea was in the clubs.
- 4:33Speaker 3: Used to be hosted.
- 4:34Speaker 1: Yeah, I was hosting and DJ behind the bar. Yep,
- 4:38Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying. So we was in the
- 4:39Speaker 1: trenches together. So I know Drea for a long time.
- 4:41Speaker 1: Lets I became a fan of yours when I met
- 4:44Speaker 1: Drea because I was like, okay, it was good to
- 4:47Speaker 1: hear her because she was she had a different friend before.
- 4:50Speaker 2: Yeah, that friend.
- 4:57Speaker 3: I don't know. That's a good question.
- 4:59Speaker 5: I always wanted to be because it was like y'all
- 5:00Speaker 5: was inseparable, and then I just never seen y'all together
- 5:03Speaker 5: ever again.
- 5:04Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean I feel like in adulthood that happened.
- 5:07Speaker 4: Sometimes people just don't align. And to be fair, I
- 5:11Speaker 4: think I've said this before, like on our show. We
- 5:14Speaker 4: weren't friends for that long before I moved to Atlantah. Yeah,
- 5:18Speaker 4: so it's like we were friends for maybe like six months.
- 5:21Speaker 4: We met in Houston. We were friends for like six months.
- 5:23Speaker 4: We moved here, and then we living in another city together.
- 5:27Speaker 4: We really only know each other and I think we
- 5:29Speaker 4: just really got to know each other quickly, and it
- 5:32Speaker 4: was like, yeah, you ain't really mind my kind.
- 5:35Speaker 1: Of okay, oh, gotcha got it was a mutual Yeah, yeah, mutual. Okay, yeah,
- 5:43Speaker 1: that's what I got.
- 5:44Speaker 3: Here this year.
- 5:49Speaker 4: Well it's be eleven years this year, right, yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 5:53Speaker 4: I was before I moved here.
- 5:55Speaker 3: I just ended up moving here with somebody else.
- 5:57Speaker 2: Yeah, I was.
- 5:58Speaker 4: I was too broke to move at the time, so
- 6:01Speaker 4: I had to let my girl go and do her thing
- 6:02Speaker 4: and spread her wings.
- 6:04Speaker 2: And did she called? Did she call you and say listen? Only?
- 6:07Speaker 4: How it was because we kept in contact, like we
- 6:09Speaker 4: would always still talk on the phone, so I kind
- 6:11Speaker 4: of knew what was going on between them. But I
- 6:14Speaker 4: was I'm the type of friend I'm never like I
- 6:16Speaker 4: told you so, because Drea is the type of person
- 6:19Speaker 4: she doesn't care what she hears about you, whatever other
- 6:21Speaker 4: people experiences are. She goes into every experience with like
- 6:25Speaker 4: an open mind and an open heart, you know.
- 6:27Speaker 2: But it was kind of like I told you so.
- 6:30Speaker 5: Type of friends if I tell you something and it happens,
- 6:36Speaker 5: friends that say, if I tell you about somebody and
- 6:39Speaker 5: I say, yo, don't do business with this person, or
- 6:42Speaker 5: I don't think this person for you, and it goes
- 6:44Speaker 5: sour and you come tell me how it went bad,
- 6:47Speaker 5: I'm gonna be like I told you.
- 6:48Speaker 3: Yeah, but that sounds terrible trait V.
- 6:52Speaker 2: No, it's not because I always know.
- 6:55Speaker 3: They already know, they know they trust me.
- 7:00Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 7:03Speaker 5: No, I'm supposed to say, hey, I've been a good friend,
- 7:05Speaker 5: and I don't think that aligns with what you're trying
- 7:08Speaker 5: to do. And I think this person may do bad
- 7:11Speaker 5: business with you. And if you say I ain't.
- 7:15Speaker 2: Gonna listen to BT and you gonna do it, and
- 7:16Speaker 2: then you tell me what I told you what happen,
- 7:19Speaker 2: I'm gonna feel like but did.
- 7:21Speaker 3: Not tell you.
- 7:23Speaker 2: I feel like you know.
- 7:24Speaker 4: I don't think it's a bad thing to try to
- 7:26Speaker 4: gain your own perspective people in situations. Now, I will
- 7:31Speaker 4: say with business, I do think it's a little bit different.
- 7:34Speaker 4: Like if somebody does bad business, they probably do it
- 7:36Speaker 4: across the board and they probably gonna do it with
- 7:38Speaker 4: you too.
- 7:38Speaker 3: But I do think when it.
- 7:39Speaker 4: Comes to friendship friendship friendship is not like a one
- 7:42Speaker 4: size fits all type thing. You might not get along
- 7:45Speaker 4: with these persons or you might not like them or
- 7:47Speaker 4: had a bad experience with them, but they might be
- 7:48Speaker 4: a different type of friends than somebody else. You just
- 7:51Speaker 4: never know I mean, I guess it be trial and error,
- 7:53Speaker 4: and that was error.
- 7:57Speaker 1: Now I saw some old videos she was doing. You
- 8:01Speaker 1: were doing what news and culture show? Yeah, so I
- 8:06Speaker 1: used to.
- 8:07Speaker 4: Yes, yes, we were doing all that stuff. Then I
- 8:09Speaker 4: was I had worked with Kodak a little bit with
- 8:12Speaker 4: Central at the time, so when I moved out here,
- 8:15Speaker 4: I was really trying to just do like the radio
- 8:18Speaker 4: kind of route.
- 8:19Speaker 3: I really wanted to do like, you know, interviews and
- 8:21Speaker 3: things like that.
- 8:22Speaker 4: And then when we started our podcast, I was like, Okay,
- 8:24Speaker 4: I like this a little more because people don't realize
- 8:27Speaker 4: how hard.
- 8:27Speaker 3: It is to be on the red carpet and trying to.
- 8:29Speaker 4: Grab people for interviews, like when you're kind of essentially
- 8:33Speaker 4: nobody on the carpet, like they don't really know who
- 8:35Speaker 4: you are, so you're trying to wave people down. It's hot,
- 8:38Speaker 4: you sweat, and you really get like thirty that's.
- 8:42Speaker 2: What That's what you was trying to do that, Yeah,
- 8:44Speaker 2: like that's.
- 8:45Speaker 3: What I was doing. At first. It's not like I
- 8:46Speaker 3: was like, oh, this is my dream career.
- 8:48Speaker 4: Just I was just doing anything and seeing what was
- 8:52Speaker 4: gonna stick. So but I'm actually glad I got that
- 8:54Speaker 4: experience because I'm like, I don't want to do this shit.
- 8:56Speaker 4: So now it's like when people ask us a lot
- 8:58Speaker 4: of times, they want to say, do y'all want to
- 9:00Speaker 4: do the red carpet, We're like, no.
- 9:01Speaker 3: Thank you.
- 9:02Speaker 2: I always declined Justlin just.
- 9:04Speaker 1: The clown hosting an actual concert and saying, nah, bro,
- 9:07Speaker 1: we want to be backstage doing an interview, yeah, because
- 9:09Speaker 1: I don't.
- 9:10Speaker 5: Have time to be trying to flag people down. I'm like,
- 9:12Speaker 5: I'm about to throw some water at.
- 9:13Speaker 2: You to get your attention.
- 9:14Speaker 5: Like, and then you got people that got prs that like,
- 9:17Speaker 5: I don't like them, but I'm gonna bring you over
- 9:19Speaker 5: here because these are my friends. It's too much politic
- 9:23Speaker 5: and on the red carpet really.
- 9:25Speaker 4: And I just don't like the feeling of it. Feel
- 9:28Speaker 4: too much like they think they doing you a favor. Yeah,
- 9:32Speaker 4: like when you're trying to flag them down and get
- 9:34Speaker 4: them to do it with you. I don't like that.
- 9:36Speaker 4: I like for people to just know and already have
- 9:38Speaker 4: it on their schedule. Okay, you're gonna do an interview
- 9:40Speaker 4: with poor Minds. They know as soon as they get there,
- 9:42Speaker 4: we don't have to flag them now.
- 9:43Speaker 3: Right right?
- 9:44Speaker 1: Question, where did the name poor Minds? Come from.
- 9:48Speaker 3: We honestly just randomly came up with you.
- 9:51Speaker 4: Like we knew it was time for a rebrand because
- 9:53Speaker 4: at first the show was called wind Down Wednesday, and.
- 9:56Speaker 5: Like when I remember, when I remember I had to want.
- 10:01Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah and lit off barefoot.
- 10:09Speaker 2: Dude.
- 10:09Speaker 4: But yes, so we knew it was just time for
- 10:11Speaker 4: a rebrand because when you would search the hashtag wind
- 10:14Speaker 4: down Wednesday, so many different things would come up. So
- 10:17Speaker 4: we wanted something that was like more synonymous with us
- 10:19Speaker 4: and what we were doing. So we was like, okay, girl,
- 10:22Speaker 4: we need to think of a new name. So we
- 10:24Speaker 4: both came up with the least of names, and then
- 10:26Speaker 4: we sat down and I think one of us had
- 10:28Speaker 4: poor and the other one had minds and was like, oh,
- 10:30Speaker 4: we're gonna put it together.
- 10:31Speaker 3: It literally took us like five minutes. It did not
- 10:34Speaker 3: take us long to come up with that name at all.
- 10:36Speaker 4: And we still wanted it to have something to do with,
- 10:38Speaker 4: you know, sitting down talking and drinking with our friends.
- 10:40Speaker 2: So yeah, most good, good ideas is instantly.
- 10:46Speaker 3: That's how even with.
- 10:47Speaker 4: Our rundown of the show, like our segments and everything, like,
- 10:50Speaker 4: we never were like, oh my gosh, okay, we have
- 10:53Speaker 4: to have the bed and then we have to have
- 10:54Speaker 4: the bop.
- 10:55Speaker 3: It just kind of flowed like that. Yeah. I really
- 10:57Speaker 3: don't even remember.
- 10:58Speaker 4: Us creating the rundown honestly, like, oh, we're gonna have
- 11:01Speaker 4: this segment.
- 11:01Speaker 3: I think we just started adding it. I think we
- 11:03Speaker 3: just started adding.
- 11:04Speaker 1: Stuff, just making an adjustments.
- 11:07Speaker 5: Yeah, but but that's how you have to You have
- 11:09Speaker 5: to figure out, you know, what's gonna be your niche.
- 11:12Speaker 5: But you can't be so like laser focused in and
- 11:14Speaker 5: like this is how the show needs to be and
- 11:16Speaker 5: this and that, because your audience will tell you what
- 11:19Speaker 5: they like.
- 11:19Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 11:20Speaker 4: True, Yeah, because they still to this day, tellers like
- 11:22Speaker 4: we got a new segment that they don't like.
- 11:24Speaker 3: They do not like it at all?
- 11:25Speaker 4: What and they be like, yeah, because we don't like
- 11:30Speaker 4: this sigma they hate it?
- 11:34Speaker 3: What is it? Is it the poor poor decision?
- 11:37Speaker 4: So we just talk about like a poor decision that
- 11:39Speaker 4: we made that week, you know, and it I think
- 11:41Speaker 4: what they wanted to be.
- 11:42Speaker 3: They want us to be like, oh.
- 11:43Speaker 4: My gosh, I had sex with this guy and I
- 11:45Speaker 4: had to go get tested, you know, like they wanted
- 11:48Speaker 4: to be juicy and making it like Janey. I'll be
- 11:52Speaker 4: like Okay, I picked the wrong pain out my house.
- 11:55Speaker 5: Well, you know, people on the internet wants to be
- 11:58Speaker 5: entertained and it doesn't matter. Yeah, they want to hear
- 12:04Speaker 5: the most outrageous story that you can possibly think of,
- 12:07Speaker 5: and that's why a lot of content creators are faking it.
- 12:10Speaker 2: They baking.
- 12:11Speaker 4: But I think one thing about us that we everybody
- 12:15Speaker 4: knows this about us, Me and Drea have never been
- 12:17Speaker 4: a click bait podcast.
- 12:20Speaker 3: Ever. We don't release clips that.
- 12:22Speaker 4: Are like, oh my gosh, it's gonna get them talking.
- 12:24Speaker 4: We'll release the clip like, oh, we think this is
- 12:25Speaker 4: gonna be funny, and then it ends up going crazy
- 12:28Speaker 4: and maybe it might get some backlash. But we never
- 12:30Speaker 4: try to Like even when we interview people, we're not like, oh,
- 12:33Speaker 4: we're gonna ask them about this because I know this
- 12:35Speaker 4: is what's going boul right now. So it's like, why
- 12:37Speaker 4: do y'all think we would ever get on the podcast
- 12:39Speaker 4: and say something crazy just to get views.
- 12:42Speaker 3: Everything has always been organic.
- 12:44Speaker 4: Yeah, people just say a lot that they miss, like
- 12:47Speaker 4: when we were on the Red and Black background, because
- 12:49Speaker 4: they were like, y'all was so unhinged.
- 12:51Speaker 3: But I think the show is still in here.
- 12:53Speaker 2: We listen when you start getting money, you gotta polish it.
- 12:56Speaker 4: You do right, and if you guys are growing, you're growing.
- 13:05Speaker 2: People don't understand business, right.
- 13:08Speaker 5: It's like with certain business when you get into certain doors,
- 13:10Speaker 5: you kind of got to polish it up a little
- 13:12Speaker 5: bit because you can't you.
- 13:13Speaker 2: Can't be.
- 13:16Speaker 4: It's like I'm thirty six now as well with that
- 13:19Speaker 4: red and black background. I was, you know, thirty and
- 13:23Speaker 4: I'm still trying to find myself. I didn't have as
- 13:25Speaker 4: much responsibility as I do now, and it's like I'm
- 13:28Speaker 4: just not the same person I was six years ago.
- 13:31Speaker 3: Yeah, I just I agree.
- 13:34Speaker 4: What did jay Z say on that song Nigga's want
- 13:36Speaker 4: my own ship by my owl? That's hobby feeling like
- 13:41Speaker 4: the episodes are still up. You can go watch them
- 13:44Speaker 4: and show discretion. You could go watch them anytime if
- 13:48Speaker 4: you want the nostalgia.
- 13:49Speaker 1: Yeah, I will say a lot of people are fans
- 13:51Speaker 1: of y'all mannerisms on the shows, particularly her eyes and
- 13:55Speaker 1: be like looking.
- 13:58Speaker 3: If I'll be saying some some stuff.
- 14:00Speaker 2: Yeah, you know, you're the fire crackers. That's what I
- 14:02Speaker 2: realized when we started going viral.
- 14:04Speaker 1: J Yeah, I was ral before that woman's fist.
- 14:09Speaker 5: That's true, but I didn't know you was gonna say that.
- 14:11Speaker 5: I ain't know you was quick on your feet like that.
- 14:13Speaker 3: You know, that's a talent.
- 14:15Speaker 4: And it's crazy because I think it's just really my
- 14:18Speaker 4: intrusive thoughts that I don't control.
- 14:20Speaker 3: Like when I have a thought that.
- 14:21Speaker 4: Comes in my mind, I literally just say it, when
- 14:23Speaker 4: the average person just be like, oh, I'm not going
- 14:25Speaker 4: to say And then when I get off that liquor,
- 14:28Speaker 4: I really don't care, So.
- 14:31Speaker 1: Get a passage seat and let me pop.
- 14:36Speaker 2: That was hilarious.
- 14:38Speaker 4: That ship was everywhere everywhere. People are still else. Cut
- 14:41Speaker 4: that clip. We didn't even we didn't.
- 14:43Speaker 3: Cut that clip.
- 14:44Speaker 1: Yeah, that's how you go.
- 14:46Speaker 4: Yes, it's so many clips like I have, So we
- 14:49Speaker 4: have so many pages that will cut poor mind's clips.
- 14:51Speaker 3: I have another show that I do call Love lex p.
- 14:54Speaker 4: There's like three accounts on TikTok that just watched my
- 14:56Speaker 4: show and just cut little small clips and me, it's crazy.
- 15:00Speaker 3: I mean, I feel like.
- 15:01Speaker 4: The Clippers be making money off of us, but it
- 15:04Speaker 4: gets the word out about us, so I don't. Yeah,
- 15:07Speaker 4: I mean, it'd be a lot of that stuff that
- 15:08Speaker 4: go viral and then make people want to come watch
- 15:10Speaker 4: the actual episode on YouTube.
- 15:12Speaker 1: We don't mind keep doing it now, you guys did
- 15:16Speaker 1: I watched because we did a live show when we
- 15:18Speaker 1: did Black Effects and then you guys did live live show.
- 15:21Speaker 1: How did you guys like doing the live show in
- 15:23Speaker 1: front of a live audience, like at a festival like that?
- 15:27Speaker 4: I think it was cool because I mean, you know,
- 15:28Speaker 4: we've been on tour twice, so it was kind of similar.
- 15:32Speaker 1: To being on tour, but ourself, we went on our own.
- 15:40Speaker 3: And we're actually going on tour again. Get your ticket y. Yeah,
- 15:46Speaker 3: it's our third. It's gonna be our third.
- 15:48Speaker 4: Yeah, but that wasn't What was the other festival that
- 15:51Speaker 4: we did? We did Roots Picnic we did before there.
- 15:54Speaker 4: I think there was another one, but I can't remember.
- 15:57Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 15:57Speaker 4: But I think festivals are cool because again, a lot
- 16:00Speaker 4: of times, I think people still to this day, judge
- 16:03Speaker 4: us by how we look.
- 16:04Speaker 3: Maybe they might see a clip maybe like.
- 16:06Speaker 4: Oh my god, these basic birds or whatever, but when
- 16:09Speaker 4: they actually get to see us, they're like, oh my gosh,
- 16:12Speaker 4: they're not that bad. So I think festivals are an
- 16:14Speaker 4: opportunity for people who really don't, you know, maybe like
- 16:17Speaker 4: our content.
- 16:17Speaker 3: They'll actually see us and like realize, like we're really
- 16:20Speaker 3: not that bad.
- 16:21Speaker 4: And it's so crazy because I see tweets like that
- 16:23Speaker 4: all the time, Like you know what, I finally watched
- 16:25Speaker 4: the Poor Minds episode and I actually like them. I'm like,
- 16:28Speaker 4: I don't know how we got this reputation of being
- 16:30Speaker 4: these like.
- 16:34Speaker 1: Mess done so bad.
- 16:39Speaker 2: One person clipped a clip.
- 16:43Speaker 1: I felt like Lotto had a problem with me.
- 16:45Speaker 2: Oh wow.
- 16:46Speaker 1: I just felt like, I don't think she ever gonna
- 16:49Speaker 1: say it. And that's my dog. When I see her
- 16:51Speaker 1: his love, she ain't come on the show, and that's
- 16:54Speaker 1: my dog. That was my dog. I know her parents.
- 16:56Speaker 2: Yeah, but it was a clip.
- 16:59Speaker 1: When we had flies yet And I literally asked, well,
- 17:02Speaker 1: if Andrew was in the video, why are you went
- 17:04Speaker 1: in the video? But the person put the dump dump
- 17:07Speaker 1: dump dumb.
- 17:07Speaker 5: I was like.
- 17:10Speaker 1: I said, in the clip, I literally say, well, lot
- 17:13Speaker 1: of old real and I'm pretty sure y'all gonna talk.
- 17:15Speaker 2: Yeah, they didn't put that in.
- 17:16Speaker 3: Then put that.
- 17:19Speaker 1: They repeated, well why weren't you in the video? Here go,
- 17:22Speaker 1: why weren't you in the video. This clip is terrible
- 17:25Speaker 1: because it's.
- 17:25Speaker 5: Not entertaining when when you when you have to explain
- 17:29Speaker 5: yourself it's not entertaining.
- 17:31Speaker 2: People want to see the clips, and.
- 17:33Speaker 5: That's why I be trying to tell him because I'd
- 17:35Speaker 5: be like, they be getting you because you are saying
- 17:37Speaker 5: you're asking questions.
- 17:38Speaker 1: Engaged though in the comments I literally got I was
- 17:41Speaker 1: argue with somebody this morning.
- 17:44Speaker 3: I'm gonna argue a little bit. Now.
- 17:45Speaker 5: I don't never argue a little because I'll be ready
- 17:48Speaker 5: to crash out. I'll be want to go on your Instagram.
- 17:50Speaker 5: I want to DM you. I want to see what
- 17:52Speaker 5: type of dog you got.
- 17:54Speaker 1: Like like Jingle jingle Ball, y'all, was a jingle Ball
- 17:59Speaker 1: interviewed Big as a play. He has autistic son, So
- 18:01Speaker 1: I'm like, wow, I know you have a lot going
- 18:03Speaker 1: on with that. So I see the comment, this motherfucker
- 18:06Speaker 1: acting fake concern. What bitch as nigga autism? I would
- 18:18Speaker 1: know shut the funk up.
- 18:20Speaker 4: Yeah, sometimes you gotta go there with people you do,
- 18:25Speaker 4: I mean agreeing.
- 18:27Speaker 1: With him he being fake concerned, y'all niggas on know
- 18:30Speaker 1: me twins.
- 18:31Speaker 2: Yeah, comment to positive that's why.
- 18:37Speaker 3: Not when he said chance this morning.
- 18:41Speaker 4: It's on YouTube page, like of course we dropped poor
- 18:46Speaker 4: minds every week, and you know we record episodes ahead
- 18:50Speaker 4: of time so we can take a little break every
- 18:53Speaker 4: now and then.
- 18:53Speaker 3: But we don't do evergreen topics.
- 18:55Speaker 4: But on Love Legs P I do evergreen topics, so
- 18:58Speaker 4: I have to record every week. So I was like,
- 19:01Speaker 4: you know what, I have literally dropped an episode every
- 19:04Speaker 4: Monday of last year.
- 19:06Speaker 3: Did not miss a Monday.
- 19:08Speaker 2: Yes.
- 19:10Speaker 4: I was like, you know what, let me I'm gonna
- 19:12Speaker 4: go on vacation for Christmas with my family and my
- 19:15Speaker 4: editor did like the best clips of the year, and
- 19:17Speaker 4: I was like, I'll just drop this.
- 19:19Speaker 3: On one week so I can just have a little
- 19:20Speaker 3: vacation And it was.
- 19:21Speaker 4: Like a few people under the underneath the comments, I
- 19:23Speaker 4: was like, lex you were being so lazy.
- 19:25Speaker 3: You are this is not this is not cool. We
- 19:27Speaker 3: need the tea. I was like, calling me lazy, crazy
- 19:31Speaker 3: because what you doing as you're typing this from your
- 19:35Speaker 3: that's crazy. Not take a vacation.
- 19:42Speaker 4: I mean even with my house, it's like people will
- 19:45Speaker 4: be blowing me up, like where's the lex p TV updates.
- 19:48Speaker 4: I'm like, do y'all know how expensive it is to
- 19:51Speaker 4: decorate a home and I'm doing it like fairly quickly.
- 19:54Speaker 3: But at the same time, I'm not gonna be house
- 19:56Speaker 3: broke just so I can make it yourself. I'm doing
- 19:59Speaker 3: everything myself, you know what I'm saying.
- 20:00Speaker 4: So I'm like, uh, I'm gonna drop the episodes when
- 20:03Speaker 4: I re up on my money. That's not these days.
- 20:11Speaker 4: I just rarely ever respond to people comments. I'll be
- 20:14Speaker 4: blocking the fun.
- 20:15Speaker 2: Out of hell.
- 20:17Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 20:17Speaker 4: I'll be blocking people from everything from our YouTube channel.
- 20:21Speaker 4: I'll be blocking them from TikTok, Instagram, Twitter, everything.
- 20:26Speaker 5: We need to start doing that because they be saying
- 20:27Speaker 5: some crazy, definitely crazy on YouTube.
- 20:34Speaker 3: I'd be like, good luck finding the show next week.
- 20:36Speaker 3: Beat like, oh you know what, I swear.
- 20:41Speaker 4: To god, you must have just blocked somebody because somebody
- 20:45Speaker 4: massaged me and they said, Lex, where are the YouTube videos?
- 20:48Speaker 3: They go and I'm like freaking out.
- 20:51Speaker 4: I'm like, where are the video I'm like the videos
- 20:52Speaker 4: got deleted and I went I was like, oh, sorry.
- 20:57Speaker 5: You.
- 21:00Speaker 2: Have been blocked.
- 21:01Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 21:02Speaker 4: It was so funny because I was like, what is
- 21:03Speaker 4: she talking about? The videos are still there.
- 21:05Speaker 3: I love to block from YouTube because that's what you're asking.
- 21:09Speaker 2: Blocking people on YouTube. I like it. No, I don't.
- 21:14Speaker 5: The people on YouTube they go overboard with like the
- 21:17Speaker 5: disrespect they do.
- 21:18Speaker 2: They not even just like them. You know, I'm not
- 21:23Speaker 2: gonna respond at all, block.
- 21:24Speaker 4: Them as I see the comments, because at the end
- 21:26Speaker 4: of the day, you're here watching us, and to me,
- 21:29Speaker 4: if you leave a negative commentary and you being nasty
- 21:32Speaker 4: and rude, and most of the time it's after I've
- 21:33Speaker 4: seen somebody leave multiple nasty comments under different videos. It's
- 21:38Speaker 4: like with bach, why are you here because clearly you
- 21:40Speaker 4: don't like it. It's it's a luxury to be able
- 21:42Speaker 4: to watch it. It's so goodbye. If you don't like it,
- 21:44Speaker 4: you don't have to watch it. I'm gonna make sure
- 21:45Speaker 4: you don't actually.
- 21:48Speaker 3: On youtubey twenty six.
- 21:52Speaker 2: Yes, who say so crazy? Blocked?
- 21:55Speaker 3: They ask?
- 21:56Speaker 4: Because I can assure you you block that person, ten
- 21:59Speaker 4: more people gonna come. I think people forget that we're
- 22:02Speaker 4: humans too, like you were just talking to a human.
- 22:05Speaker 1: Being at work.
- 22:07Speaker 5: Yes, they don't think, they don't think that they they
- 22:10Speaker 5: what I what I found.
- 22:11Speaker 2: To realize is that a lot of people are miserable.
- 22:13Speaker 5: They are and people are doing things that they don't
- 22:16Speaker 5: want to do, working jobs they don't want to work in,
- 22:18Speaker 5: relationships they don't want to be in. So they go
- 22:19Speaker 5: on the internet for entertainment, and most of the time
- 22:23Speaker 5: when you see a negative comment, it's coming from something else.
- 22:27Speaker 2: Projecting what they got going on.
- 22:31Speaker 1: That's why they wouldn't say that to your face.
- 22:33Speaker 4: What is I really truly feel like the majority of
- 22:36Speaker 4: the people who believing negative comments be the ones that
- 22:38Speaker 4: see you and be like, oh my god, hey girl,
- 22:40Speaker 4: can I get a picture that definitely happened on to
- 22:42Speaker 4: remember that happened on tour. There was this girl And
- 22:47Speaker 4: every time my me and Dre go on tour, like
- 22:49Speaker 4: we usually wake up the next morning repost everything from
- 22:51Speaker 4: the night before, So if like I miss something, I'll
- 22:53Speaker 4: go to her page to see, like who did I
- 22:55Speaker 4: miss so I can repost it.
- 22:56Speaker 3: And there was this one.
- 22:57Speaker 4: Picture like I was like, I can't find it, but
- 22:59Speaker 4: I had her blog but I don't. Now on Instagram,
- 23:02Speaker 4: I really don't block if it's a regular person's account.
- 23:05Speaker 3: It's usually like fake accounts I block.
- 23:07Speaker 4: So you know, if you block an account, it'll say
- 23:09Speaker 4: block this and all of the accounts associated with it
- 23:12Speaker 4: or whatever. So I'm like, I must have blocked you,
- 23:14Speaker 4: but you all in my face like lex lex, So
- 23:16Speaker 4: that means whoever that was was commenting from a fake page.
- 23:21Speaker 4: So it was like, y'all are literally commenting from fake
- 23:24Speaker 4: pages being weird, but you're showing up to my shows.
- 23:26Speaker 4: M v I p bond the top notch to get
- 23:30Speaker 4: a meeting.
- 23:33Speaker 3: Yes, that's insane.
- 23:38Speaker 1: Let me ask you all this. Has there ever been
- 23:39Speaker 1: a moment when you guys felt discouraged, like in the
- 23:42Speaker 1: beginning parts of the pot Yeah.
- 23:45Speaker 4: I felt discouraged in the beginning, just because we were
- 23:48Speaker 4: doing it for like two years and we weren't making
- 23:51Speaker 4: any money. Never so much will people be saying, because
- 23:53Speaker 4: I don't really be giving a fuck about what people
- 23:55Speaker 4: be talking about.
- 23:56Speaker 3: But I was discouraged because I'm like, where is the money?
- 24:00Speaker 4: And I'm more of an instant gratification type of person,
- 24:03Speaker 4: like I've always been their way. Everything is about getting
- 24:06Speaker 4: a cord. Yeah, I'm like, where is the money? And
- 24:10Speaker 4: it was a while that we were doing the show,
- 24:12Speaker 4: We was recording every week, and we still hadn't figured
- 24:14Speaker 4: out how to monetize it, and I'm just like yeah,
- 24:20Speaker 4: and I'm just like, bro, what is going on? And
- 24:23Speaker 4: then it was finally a little silver lining we always
- 24:26Speaker 4: talk about this, We got an eighty six dollars ad
- 24:29Speaker 4: cheek and I was like, Okay, we can make money
- 24:32Speaker 4: from this.
- 24:33Speaker 3: It's only eighty six dollars with us to start.
- 24:35Speaker 4: That lets me know it can be lucrative and it
- 24:38Speaker 4: can turn into something.
- 24:39Speaker 3: So yeah, for me, that's what it was. I just
- 24:41Speaker 3: I was like, where the many?
- 24:42Speaker 4: Yeah, I think for me one thing that discouraged me
- 24:46Speaker 4: in the beginning, and it doesn't discourage me now.
- 24:49Speaker 3: It more so makes me be like, Okay, I gotta
- 24:51Speaker 3: go harder.
- 24:51Speaker 4: It's like sometimes when we may like not get an
- 24:54Speaker 4: opportunity that I think we deserve, or like I guess,
- 24:57Speaker 4: like we asked somebody to come on the show and
- 24:59Speaker 4: they're like, I don't think this aligns with And I'm like.
- 25:02Speaker 3: How can you?
- 25:03Speaker 4: Poor minds aligns with everything, It doesn't matter who you are.
- 25:06Speaker 4: And I think a lot of times people see that,
- 25:08Speaker 4: maybe see a clip and they're like, what are we
- 25:09Speaker 4: going to talk about? But we've had people from all
- 25:12Speaker 4: walks of life on our show, you know, So I
- 25:15Speaker 4: think like sometimes that still makes me feel some type
- 25:17Speaker 4: of way because I feel like me Andre are so
- 25:19Speaker 4: well versed in a lot of things, and even if
- 25:21Speaker 4: we are maybe ignorant to something, we don't mind opening
- 25:24Speaker 4: our minds and learning about something to make people feel comfortable.
- 25:27Speaker 4: So I think that's something that still makes me like, mm,
- 25:30Speaker 4: why would you want to come on with poor minds?
- 25:32Speaker 4: It's a great platform, you know what I'm saying. Yeah,
- 25:34Speaker 4: So that's the stuff that still kind of makes me feel.
- 25:36Speaker 1: Has anybody ever had to eat their words that they
- 25:38Speaker 1: didn't believe?
- 25:43Speaker 3: It's a love this shee.
- 25:46Speaker 4: We love this sheepve it so many people, people that
- 25:50Speaker 4: we know in real life, and then also you know,
- 25:52Speaker 4: just people on the internet, at least in there. It's
- 25:54Speaker 4: people who was like, oh, y'all are one what did
- 25:57Speaker 4: they say? One dimensional? Yeah, all of these different things.
- 25:59Speaker 4: It's y'all show is popular right now, but he's not
- 26:01Speaker 4: gonna go there far. Oh it's only popular a little
- 26:04Speaker 4: bit right now because y'all cute. Like people just have
- 26:07Speaker 4: always said very mean.
- 26:08Speaker 3: Things about this on the internet. I don't know why,
- 26:11Speaker 3: because I'm like, we're so cool. I'm like, we just
- 26:14Speaker 3: be chilling.
- 26:16Speaker 5: It.
- 26:17Speaker 3: I want to see people having fun.
- 26:19Speaker 5: Because I've already explained that people live miserable lives we
- 26:25Speaker 5: would not understand, and people go on the internet to project.
- 26:30Speaker 3: Yeah, but I'm not gonna lie one of.
- 26:31Speaker 4: The best feelings is it's a lot of people in
- 26:33Speaker 4: the beginning that were not believing in us, told us
- 26:37Speaker 4: this wasn't it. And I promise you it's like a
- 26:40Speaker 4: handful of people them same people that asked to come
- 26:43Speaker 4: on our show. And I'd be like, look at God,
- 26:48Speaker 4: because you see how yary were you know what I'm saying.
- 26:51Speaker 3: I mean it felt so.
- 26:53Speaker 4: I mean I remember it was two specific people for me,
- 26:56Speaker 4: and it's like when we got that email, I was like,
- 26:58Speaker 4: you really have no fucking shame because how dare you?
- 27:03Speaker 3: It like actually shocked me.
- 27:05Speaker 5: Well, it was a guest that y'all got to email
- 27:07Speaker 5: about saying that they didn't want to do that they
- 27:09Speaker 5: want oh, and it was somebody that y'all.
- 27:15Speaker 4: And like they were basically telling us like when we
- 27:17Speaker 4: first started the show, why are y'all doing this?
- 27:20Speaker 3: It's not gonna go nowhere.
- 27:21Speaker 4: Women need to be seen in our heart Like it
- 27:24Speaker 4: was some misogynistic she yeah. And then the person like
- 27:29Speaker 4: last year, had their people reach out and they wanted
- 27:31Speaker 4: to be a guesst on the show.
- 27:33Speaker 3: So we were like, no.
- 27:36Speaker 2: I tell him all the time. I tell him all
- 27:38Speaker 2: the time.
- 27:39Speaker 5: It's people that that I know that me and him
- 27:42Speaker 5: have been a part of helping their career. And then
- 27:44Speaker 5: I've always tell him I'm not a fan of new
- 27:46Speaker 5: artists anymore, and I and I really don't care to
- 27:51Speaker 5: support new artists like that. God why, because I've seen
- 27:54Speaker 5: it happen time and time again. It's like, you help
- 27:56Speaker 5: a new artists, you support a new artists, you believe
- 27:58Speaker 5: in them, you know, you are hard for them, and
- 28:00Speaker 5: then what happens They get a hit record, they changed
- 28:03Speaker 5: their number, Oh yeah, they unfollow you on Instagram.
- 28:12Speaker 2: You one song.
- 28:15Speaker 1: He's saying this because he was there with me and
- 28:17Speaker 1: Flag at d C when we broke a couple of
- 28:18Speaker 1: big artists who can be named nameless at the moment,
- 28:22Speaker 1: and he saw how they did us. But I feel
- 28:25Speaker 1: like these days it's harder to even be to have
- 28:27Speaker 1: a hit record. Now many these niggas is a lot
- 28:30Speaker 1: more humble.
- 28:31Speaker 5: Yes, yeah, the most humble that you're gonna see an
- 28:34Speaker 5: artist is that fall off.
- 28:37Speaker 2: That fall off. Yeah, I mean, it's.
- 28:42Speaker 3: Crazy because we have to but he enjoying.
- 28:51Speaker 2: Of the Week, But you got to, you said, we
- 28:53Speaker 2: have a.
- 28:53Speaker 3: Segment called BAP of the Weeks.
- 28:56Speaker 4: Yes, and like in the early days, it was like
- 28:58Speaker 4: a lot of like our up and come artists we
- 29:00Speaker 4: used to like talk about and real life up and
- 29:03Speaker 4: like really and I'm not saying we put them on
- 29:05Speaker 4: it by any means, but we was definitely like, yeah,
- 29:07Speaker 4: you know what I'm saying like this, We was really
- 29:10Speaker 4: rocking with them. And then it's like when it came
- 29:11Speaker 4: later when they was like pops, like they didn't want
- 29:13Speaker 4: to come on the show, but it's like, now you.
- 29:15Speaker 3: Really need to come on the goddamn suck the invitation
- 29:21Speaker 3: is not available.
- 29:23Speaker 2: Access.
- 29:26Speaker 1: Speaking of that, we got a segment call you got me.
- 29:30Speaker 1: What's some ship that get on your nerves?
- 29:32Speaker 2: So?
- 29:33Speaker 1: When's the last time y'all was triggered the last person place?
- 29:37Speaker 4: Let me think the last probably the other day when
- 29:40Speaker 4: I blocked the Beach Points on YouTube that ship.
- 29:44Speaker 3: Do be triggering me?
- 29:45Speaker 4: Little? Yes, That's why I just be blocking people because
- 29:49Speaker 4: people are fucking idiots like I And I know that
- 29:52Speaker 4: that sounds so fucked up, but like I just hate
- 29:56Speaker 4: I love the people that support LIX, and I like
- 29:59Speaker 4: the people who love us and genuinely support us, but
- 30:01Speaker 4: I cannot stand the people who really think that they
- 30:04Speaker 4: know us and they don't like you don't know it.
- 30:06Speaker 3: It doesn't matter how much you watch poor minds.
- 30:09Speaker 4: It doesn't matter if you've been watching every single week
- 30:11Speaker 4: for the past five six years. You do not know
- 30:13Speaker 4: us personally. So a lot of the time they be projecting,
- 30:16Speaker 4: like you said, and they try to make all of
- 30:19Speaker 4: jump to all of these conclusions and make assumptions about
- 30:22Speaker 4: us as individuals, about our friendship, just a lot of
- 30:25Speaker 4: different things. And I just feel like it really annoyed
- 30:27Speaker 4: the fuck out of me. And so sometimes they don't
- 30:29Speaker 4: necessarily say something rude, but just even them trying to
- 30:32Speaker 4: like make an assumption and stuff about our relationship. I'll
- 30:35Speaker 4: be blocking people because going on with their negativity just because.
- 30:41Speaker 3: That's what you and your homegirl got going on.
- 30:43Speaker 4: Don't be projecting the peting their relationships on to us.
- 30:48Speaker 4: I think for me this is kind of a little off.
- 30:51Speaker 4: But I hate people in the airport, bitch. I hate
- 30:55Speaker 4: people in the motherfucking airport. We need two separate airports.
- 31:00Speaker 4: Pople who are experienced flyers and people is show first, second,
- 31:03Speaker 4: third time flying.
- 31:05Speaker 3: Move bitch, get off the way.
- 31:07Speaker 4: That's why Lula Bris made that song because he was
- 31:09Speaker 4: rolling around Hartsville Jackson.
- 31:12Speaker 3: And people wouldn't move, bitch, get out the way.
- 31:14Speaker 1: We need a teleportation.
- 31:17Speaker 3: They are walking. If you're walking, you know you walk
- 31:20Speaker 3: this way, you walk this way? Why are you stopping?
- 31:22Speaker 3: Where's my game? Do you know where the train is
- 31:26Speaker 3: gonna take me?
- 31:28Speaker 5: Move?
- 31:29Speaker 4: Move, especially if you have t s a pre check. Okay,
- 31:33Speaker 4: you know they scan the face.
- 31:34Speaker 3: You get through.
- 31:35Speaker 4: Digital ideas moving, we moving and grooving. Exuse me?
- 31:45Speaker 3: Then they putting up.
- 31:47Speaker 5: Move.
- 31:49Speaker 4: Then if you're going to breathe, you don't have to
- 31:52Speaker 4: take your shoes off. You don't got to take nothing off.
- 31:54Speaker 4: They shoes do I have to take my shoes off?
- 31:59Speaker 5: No, that's why them agents be mad. Let me telling
- 32:04Speaker 5: people like, ma'am, come on, come on, put you over here.
- 32:10Speaker 3: That they do. They act like they ain't never been
- 32:13Speaker 3: to an air I mean, they act like the airport
- 32:15Speaker 3: is like rocket science.
- 32:17Speaker 1: I mean, but it is Atlanta Airport, airport in the
- 32:20Speaker 1: world the visits.
- 32:21Speaker 5: But most most airports you have to get on the train.
- 32:25Speaker 5: So people do They get on the train and be like.
- 32:27Speaker 2: I don't know where I'm going there everything it's like
- 32:30Speaker 2: it's in order.
- 32:31Speaker 3: It's in order.
- 32:33Speaker 1: It is in order.
- 32:33Speaker 3: It actually is, But you ain't got to get on
- 32:39Speaker 3: the train for the t That's the first though.
- 32:43Speaker 1: Parking at the airport. Oh, and then I tried to
- 32:47Speaker 1: val a thing one time. That's track. Yeah, because you
- 32:50Speaker 1: do text or send the email when and that ship
- 32:53Speaker 1: don't even work.
- 32:54Speaker 4: I used to drive to the airport, but I stopped
- 32:57Speaker 4: because at one point they was breaking in people cards
- 33:00Speaker 4: like a few years ago, like maybe like three years ago.
- 33:02Speaker 4: So I haven't been driving lately, but yeah, I do
- 33:04Speaker 4: remember the parking would be messed up, and then if
- 33:07Speaker 4: it was blocked off, you would have to go all
- 33:09Speaker 4: the way around and drive like five minies an hour
- 33:12Speaker 4: roll to go park it another one and then get
- 33:14Speaker 4: on another tramp to get back to the airport.
- 33:17Speaker 2: Yeah, that's I don't never drive to the airport. Dropped
- 33:21Speaker 2: me off, Yeah, I always get dropped. I'm out here.
- 33:23Speaker 2: My pet peeve though with the airports is when people
- 33:26Speaker 2: on the plane and ands soon you hear that stand up, look.
- 33:37Speaker 3: Wait for everybody. I don't like that.
- 33:40Speaker 2: Let me sitting down, people like this, don't let me
- 33:44Speaker 2: have an hour and you standing up.
- 33:45Speaker 3: I'm still sitting now, because where are we going?
- 33:49Speaker 1: Alta. I'm a Delta comfort type of guy, so I'm
- 33:52Speaker 1: right in the middle because the door is right there. Yeah,
- 33:55Speaker 1: because you messed around sitting first class and in.
- 33:57Speaker 2: The door, but you be behind you. Yeah hell now
- 34:01Speaker 2: yeah take you for to get off.
- 34:05Speaker 1: All the extra.
- 34:05Speaker 5: I see why people be boozie because I've been flying
- 34:07Speaker 5: first class lately and cheap bad.
- 34:10Speaker 2: No I know, but but hear me out. I see
- 34:13Speaker 2: why people be petty because I was going to the.
- 34:17Speaker 1: Frugal my bad, frugal, frugal.
- 34:20Speaker 2: I am very frugal, definitely.
- 34:23Speaker 3: That's me all the way.
- 34:24Speaker 2: I'm very But I've only did it because I ran
- 34:26Speaker 2: up my skot mouse points, so I've been using my
- 34:28Speaker 2: points of five first.
- 34:30Speaker 5: Just put you out on game. Anyways, I was going
- 34:33Speaker 5: to the bathroom and I seen somebody from Road thirty
- 34:36Speaker 5: going all the way up the first class and I
- 34:38Speaker 5: don't wait on them, and.
- 34:39Speaker 3: I'm like, this ain't your bath from Joe, No bath?
- 34:43Speaker 2: You know what? You know what I was thinking, bt
- 34:45Speaker 2: remember you came from remember it?
- 34:47Speaker 5: Because I was so close to turn in another color
- 34:50Speaker 5: and was say, this person right here.
- 34:53Speaker 2: I saw them walk from Road thirty five to first
- 34:57Speaker 2: class bathroom and I ain't waiting.
- 35:00Speaker 3: I see that's messed up.
- 35:01Speaker 2: Because I was almost.
- 35:08Speaker 1: You had every right.
- 35:13Speaker 3: Walking past it. I don't walk past it. Comfort which
- 35:19Speaker 3: restroom it is?
- 35:21Speaker 5: I'm like, why this man walked all the way to
- 35:23Speaker 5: first class used the bathroom and you give him the look.
- 35:27Speaker 2: And I'm over looking. I'm looking at the damn sure,
- 35:30Speaker 2: I'm over like. You never see him, just you've seen
- 35:34Speaker 2: where you walk from.
- 35:36Speaker 5: Now, my black ass would have walked all the way
- 35:38Speaker 5: from Road thirty five to go in the first class.
- 35:39Speaker 2: I would be like, sir, sir, oh my goodness.
- 35:43Speaker 4: Now I will say I am a bit of a
- 35:45Speaker 4: flight snob. I am like, I only like to fly
- 35:48Speaker 4: first class or comfort pleas if they don't have first class,
- 35:51Speaker 4: But like.
- 35:52Speaker 3: I don't care if people come and use the restroom.
- 35:56Speaker 2: This pity, That's what I said. I almost I almost
- 35:58Speaker 2: forgot where I came from because I was like, I
- 36:01Speaker 2: have to remember, I just realized my ticket. You know
- 36:04Speaker 2: what my sugar is. Lines.
- 36:08Speaker 1: I hate line. I hate waiting for in line. If
- 36:12Speaker 1: I get in a line, I'm moving. I'm over here,
- 36:14Speaker 1: like because I got everything you can think of. I
- 36:18Speaker 1: got pre check and clear. And one time he was
- 36:24Speaker 1: traveling with me, my wife and my kids. Good my
- 36:26Speaker 1: daughter and my oldest daughter brought a boyfriend.
- 36:28Speaker 3: He ain't have it.
- 36:28Speaker 2: I'm over here, like, hey, bro, how are you gonna
- 36:34Speaker 2: do this?
- 36:36Speaker 3: Hole?
- 36:37Speaker 1: Mama was a handicapped, so she put you down, get
- 36:45Speaker 1: your wheelchair, get your wheelchair and get you up out
- 36:47Speaker 1: of them.
- 36:48Speaker 2: You you're a good personal. I'm leaving niggas.
- 36:50Speaker 1: And so last time we flew, so we got a
- 36:53Speaker 1: fly as a family. So that ship I ain't gonna
- 36:55Speaker 1: cap wesing coach and uh Man chairs were so goddamn
- 36:59Speaker 1: small they are they are. I was mad because you know,
- 37:04Speaker 1: I let the girls sit together and everything. So I
- 37:08Speaker 1: was in the Chatmber, I was out in the chat.
- 37:11Speaker 1: He was he was ever sat next to me. He
- 37:14Speaker 1: was playing seven one, six eight. This person had to
- 37:19Speaker 1: be sid five. Oh my god, three oh two wow,
- 37:24Speaker 1: all of all the I'm talking about.
- 37:27Speaker 2: Man, he was complaining in the whole.
- 37:29Speaker 5: Damn like.
- 37:32Speaker 2: It was like this my camera, it was like this,
- 37:35Speaker 2: I said.
- 37:39Speaker 3: He was thinking, some.
- 37:43Speaker 2: May get back on the bike so they can hear you.
- 37:44Speaker 6: Man.
- 37:46Speaker 1: I was close with my wife as chat. My bad
- 37:48Speaker 1: shes gonna see this clip and get mad.
- 37:50Speaker 5: I don't care how I get there. I'm not a
- 37:52Speaker 5: I'm not First of all, I'm not a first class
- 37:55Speaker 5: type of guy. I'm I get there.
- 37:56Speaker 2: It's how I get there type of guy.
- 37:58Speaker 5: So, uh, the airline that wan't to sponsor me, I
- 38:01Speaker 5: will fly and I will promote your business.
- 38:04Speaker 2: I don't get spirit. What do you think you think
- 38:09Speaker 2: I won't?
- 38:10Speaker 3: I can't be.
- 38:11Speaker 1: That was the most hood fly I ever was on
- 38:13Speaker 1: in my life. Brou But you know now that someone
- 38:15Speaker 1: had a dog and the dog was walking up and down,
- 38:18Speaker 1: the dog walking.
- 38:21Speaker 2: The dog. Let me ask you this, what is your
- 38:24Speaker 2: biggest fear when y'all fly?
- 38:28Speaker 5: You know, like I'm talking about, Like, Okay, I'll tell
- 38:31Speaker 5: you my my biggest spirit, somebody get the fight on the.
- 38:34Speaker 2: Plane and we gotta neutralize this, you know what I'm saying.
- 38:37Speaker 2: I'm just saying.
- 38:37Speaker 5: On the end, I'm like, dang, what if somebody get
- 38:39Speaker 5: into a fight and I gotta like help neutralize somebody
- 38:42Speaker 5: like karate chop there, Like I wonder if we give
- 38:44Speaker 5: three miles for it.
- 38:45Speaker 2: I think that.
- 38:48Speaker 4: I'm always afraid of like something just somebody freaking out,
- 38:51Speaker 4: Like you know, people be drunk in the air, people
- 38:55Speaker 4: be on whatever, they just like freak out. So I'm
- 38:57Speaker 4: always like I hope I don't sit next to some
- 39:01Speaker 4: that would be the thing, because if somebody else on
- 39:03Speaker 4: another row like I'm not a hero, I will never
- 39:06Speaker 4: be that person. That's like I'm gonna step in and
- 39:08Speaker 4: say I don't give a damn. My friend asked me
- 39:10Speaker 4: that the other day. She was like, if you saw
- 39:12Speaker 4: somebody in danger, like, are you the person like to
- 39:14Speaker 4: jump in front of a car for a stranger? No?
- 39:16Speaker 3: Or I me, you know what I'm saying.
- 39:19Speaker 4: But I'm just like, if it's somebody next to me,
- 39:22Speaker 4: then this one it's like, Okay, what are you gonna do?
- 39:25Speaker 3: You know what I'm saying, Because people are crazy.
- 39:27Speaker 4: I always just have a fear of like somebody's just
- 39:29Speaker 4: doing something weird to me on a plane, not because
- 39:31Speaker 4: of like who I am, but just because yeop are crazy.
- 39:34Speaker 4: They be saying, you gotta You're gonna have to punch
- 39:36Speaker 4: me in the face on a plane for me to
- 39:39Speaker 4: do anything because I'm not eating up on a no
- 39:40Speaker 4: fly Liss.
- 39:41Speaker 2: Oh yeah, absolutely no, Liss ain't no joke.
- 39:44Speaker 4: You probably gonna get away with a hard e r
- 39:46Speaker 4: with me and I just have to swap you gotta
- 39:48Speaker 4: take it.
- 39:48Speaker 5: Yeah, I'm gonna be a hero. If I see somebody
- 39:51Speaker 5: acting crazy on plane, I'm karate chopping he.
- 39:55Speaker 2: Cause we not going down. We not going down. I'm
- 40:00Speaker 2: on this plane. I would be like, look, we all
- 40:02Speaker 2: banding together now.
- 40:03Speaker 5: I don't care ivy six folks, six eight or five eleven.
- 40:07Speaker 5: We're gonna band again. We have neutralized the threat.
- 40:10Speaker 4: Well, I feel like it's something like serious, like they're
- 40:12Speaker 4: trying to like hijack a playing or something.
- 40:13Speaker 2: We all need.
- 40:15Speaker 5: All these crazy said, these crazy people where people like
- 40:19Speaker 5: you ever seen a drunk dude where they be so
- 40:21Speaker 5: drunk and they.
- 40:22Speaker 2: Just be acting crazy on a plane. And then somebody
- 40:24Speaker 2: got to be like, sir, get that I was on
- 40:27Speaker 2: I was on the plane chopping his ass. He gotta
- 40:29Speaker 2: get he gotta get neutralized. You gonna see bt like this.
- 40:38Speaker 3: We do have a a hero.
- 40:41Speaker 5: I'm saving lives because I'm already I'm already nervous, been
- 40:44Speaker 5: on planes on kid.
- 40:47Speaker 2: I don't it don't matter how much I fly. When
- 40:49Speaker 2: we take off it and start doing that shaky ship,
- 40:51Speaker 2: I'll be like lord.
- 40:54Speaker 4: But for that reason, you don't feel like if something
- 40:56Speaker 4: crazy happy, you would like clam up hell, because.
- 41:01Speaker 2: I did with worse stuff in the club. Any people
- 41:03Speaker 2: in the club, Like I got to this dude, I'm
- 41:06Speaker 2: gonna pop his as. I'm like, hey, no, brother, no,
- 41:09Speaker 2: you know you.
- 41:10Speaker 3: Know the club is like no, don't do it really is.
- 41:13Speaker 1: The club is hostyle.
- 41:15Speaker 2: The club is probably the most dangerous environment that you
- 41:18Speaker 2: can possibly be in.
- 41:19Speaker 4: Shooting at the club when I used to work, Yeah,
- 41:21Speaker 4: it was a few shootings at the club I used
- 41:23Speaker 4: to work.
- 41:25Speaker 5: So you know, there's so much stuff going on and
- 41:29Speaker 5: me having like an actual party, and I feel like
- 41:31Speaker 5: I'll be having to be responsible for people to be
- 41:34Speaker 5: cause somebody might bump into something.
- 41:35Speaker 1: I'm like, they were fighting on New Years even at
- 41:38Speaker 1: the R and D party.
- 41:38Speaker 2: We ain't gonna talk. I wasn't there. They're not gonna
- 41:40Speaker 2: talk about that.
- 41:41Speaker 5: But I try to neutralize any anything that I see happening.
- 41:45Speaker 5: And I'm like, I go talk to man, leave that alone, bro,
- 41:48Speaker 5: Like it's not that serious.
- 41:49Speaker 4: Like when I see dudes like fighting the club, I
- 41:52Speaker 4: always just walk away because I know somebody's gonna pull
- 41:55Speaker 4: something out.
- 41:56Speaker 3: I feel like when girls are fighting the club, you
- 41:58Speaker 3: know they just finish.
- 41:59Speaker 2: The women go women go to the club up to now, Yeah,
- 42:02Speaker 2: they're gonna tear it up.
- 42:03Speaker 1: But I feel like me, I'll be grabbing ship.
- 42:07Speaker 2: You got a duck because gonna be in somebody.
- 42:11Speaker 3: But I will say, like with with men fighting, all
- 42:13Speaker 3: of a sudden, you just hear a gun go off people.
- 42:15Speaker 2: That is true.
- 42:17Speaker 4: When men are fighting, you just hear gunshots, and it's like,
- 42:19Speaker 4: I'm getting out of here.
- 42:20Speaker 3: When girls are fighting, I just kind of back up.
- 42:22Speaker 3: But I'm trying to see the girls.
- 42:24Speaker 4: The girls ain't the girls ain't gonna pull out no
- 42:27Speaker 4: gun like that for somebody.
- 42:30Speaker 3: Don't put each other, is she?
- 42:31Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 42:32Speaker 3: They never be having box cutters and the box cutters.
- 42:36Speaker 2: Yeah, any type of Yeah.
- 42:38Speaker 3: I've never been a fighter.
- 42:39Speaker 2: I need I just I try to be the peacemaker.
- 42:42Speaker 5: But now when the punches get thrown, I'm moving out
- 42:44Speaker 5: of the way because I know, I know, I know
- 42:47Speaker 5: somebody gonna bring.
- 42:48Speaker 2: Out a jackhammer. Yeah, somebody Like I'm getting out of
- 42:53Speaker 2: the way.
- 42:54Speaker 3: Now.
- 42:54Speaker 2: When the punches get the flying, I'm like this, Yes,
- 42:56Speaker 2: it's time for me to lead. Yeah, I'm ahead, I'm
- 42:59Speaker 2: gonna get on up out of here.
- 43:00Speaker 5: I remember the first time I was in Atlanta, I
- 43:02Speaker 5: hosted an artist showcase and some guys got the fight
- 43:05Speaker 5: in the Artist Showcase and where I'm from.
- 43:07Speaker 2: When people make threads that actually go through with the
- 43:10Speaker 2: threats that they made.
- 43:11Speaker 5: And I remember the guy was like, when I come back,
- 43:15Speaker 5: I'm gonna shoot this thing up.
- 43:17Speaker 2: And I was hosting and I heard him say that.
- 43:19Speaker 2: I was like this, you know what, Yeah, I believe you.
- 43:23Speaker 1: I believe.
- 43:25Speaker 2: Where you at. I said, I left. He said he
- 43:28Speaker 2: about to shoot the place up. He was like, man,
- 43:30Speaker 2: that man ain't about to do that.
- 43:31Speaker 5: I say, hey, bro, where I'm from, just somebody say
- 43:34Speaker 5: they fin the air this thing out. I'm not gonna
- 43:36Speaker 5: be dodging book.
- 43:39Speaker 3: It's not worth it.
- 43:41Speaker 4: It's so crazy when I see stuff going on in
- 43:43Speaker 4: the club, like I've seen so many clips of like
- 43:46Speaker 4: maybe a club like something then caught on fire, some
- 43:49Speaker 4: people fighting.
- 43:50Speaker 3: People just want to sit in there record.
- 43:52Speaker 5: Where you know, the camera man never dies, Yo, the
- 43:58Speaker 5: camera man never doesn't get footage.
- 44:02Speaker 2: The cameraman never does. That's why people always recording.
- 44:07Speaker 1: But that is true because we got behind the wall
- 44:09Speaker 1: smoking the foe. Have you guys ever lost the interview?
- 44:13Speaker 3: Yeah, we have. We lost a few actually, but you
- 44:16Speaker 3: know what, it was one that we lost in l A.
- 44:20Speaker 4: That was the two it was two that we lost,
- 44:22Speaker 4: and one was with Megan she Girls Club, And I
- 44:28Speaker 4: was really upset because that was like, you know, at
- 44:30Speaker 4: the time, we were still trying to you know, get
- 44:31Speaker 4: like guests and people that were So who was the
- 44:34Speaker 4: other guest that we had lost? It was Louis Billy,
- 44:38Speaker 4: but it ended up having him on the show. Yeah,
- 44:41Speaker 4: and then we've lost like interviews, like solo episodes, like
- 44:45Speaker 4: with just us.
- 44:45Speaker 3: But yeah, that's very very frustrating, and it's it's rare.
- 44:51Speaker 3: I mean it's happened probably like five times.
- 44:53Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 44:53Speaker 3: Who was the other guests that was? I mean it
- 44:55Speaker 3: was solo.
- 44:58Speaker 4: Yeah, but yeah, we've definitely lost interviews before, and it
- 45:00Speaker 4: was just kind of like but I think with that,
- 45:03Speaker 4: it's like we learned. And one thing about me and
- 45:06Speaker 4: Dre two is like we don't mind to find people either,
- 45:09Speaker 4: like if you we are very nice to. We don't
- 45:12Speaker 4: micro manage, we don't do none of that. But it's like,
- 45:14Speaker 4: at the end of the day, this is our livelihood.
- 45:16Speaker 4: And as fun as it is, a lot of times
- 45:19Speaker 4: people like, oh I want to work for poor minds.
- 45:21Speaker 4: It's probably so funny. It is a fun job, but
- 45:23Speaker 4: it's still a job, and I think a lot of
- 45:25Speaker 4: times people don't realize like we take it very very seriously,
- 45:28Speaker 4: Like when the cameras are rolling, that's the easy part,
- 45:31Speaker 4: that's the fun part. That's when we actually get to
- 45:33Speaker 4: kick our feet up and have fun. But everything else
- 45:36Speaker 4: that goes on behind it, it's worked. So it's kind
- 45:39Speaker 4: of like, you know, we've had to have some some
- 45:41Speaker 4: changes behind the scenes, but yeah, we get still done. Now.
- 45:45Speaker 2: Now I want to know, y'all have to say, anybody
- 45:47Speaker 2: name who's your worst interview?
- 45:49Speaker 4: I don't we don't have to even answer because they're
- 45:51Speaker 4: gonna be in the common let us know they go today.
- 45:57Speaker 1: Now, was it worse, like as in the chemistry of
- 45:59Speaker 1: the interview was bad or the what what was bad
- 46:02Speaker 1: about the interview?
- 46:03Speaker 3: I think it was definitely just the chemistry of the interview.
- 46:06Speaker 4: Lex and I are really good at yes, Like even
- 46:11Speaker 4: if somebody is very monotone or they don't really talk
- 46:14Speaker 4: that much or they don't have much personality. We've had
- 46:17Speaker 4: numerous instances where people have came on the show and
- 46:19Speaker 4: they were like, I've never seen this person this lively or.
- 46:22Speaker 2: Open up this much. I don't know.
- 46:24Speaker 4: I think we just have a gift with getting people
- 46:26Speaker 4: to open up when they come sit on our couch.
- 46:28Speaker 4: But it was this one particular guess, like they were
- 46:31Speaker 4: just so dry that we literally had to carry the
- 46:34Speaker 4: whole interview. Which is fine because one thing about us.
- 46:38Speaker 4: If you're not giving us no energy, we're just gonna
- 46:39Speaker 4: start acting like you're not there, and it's just gonna
- 46:41Speaker 4: be a poor.
- 46:44Speaker 3: Seriously, because I mean, if you're not saying anything, then
- 46:46Speaker 3: thank you.
- 46:47Speaker 1: For We need to do that because I'll get mad because.
- 46:50Speaker 3: When you'll say it in the middle of the interview,
- 46:59Speaker 3: you can tell he.
- 47:00Speaker 5: Like he likes he's a conversational guy. Yeah, I'm more like,
- 47:04Speaker 5: I'm gonna ask you the question. We're gonna turn up
- 47:06Speaker 5: like he's a conversational guy, so you will.
- 47:08Speaker 1: Give me Conversationstop talking like he was, just stop talking because.
- 47:15Speaker 4: Well, with me Andrea, the reason we actually started sitting
- 47:17Speaker 4: guests in between us because we know that if we
- 47:20Speaker 4: sit next to each other, we'll probably like.
- 47:23Speaker 3: It could be Barack Obama behind me and we'll be like, girl,
- 47:27Speaker 3: what happened last night? You know what I'm saying, So
- 47:29Speaker 3: we actually.
- 47:29Speaker 4: Started putting them in between us for that reason. But
- 47:32Speaker 4: also if you're not gonna interact. We have people to entertain,
- 47:35Speaker 4: so you either gonna jump in this conversation are you
- 47:38Speaker 4: gonna sit there? And the person was a really really
- 47:40Speaker 4: sweet person. I just think they were maybe nervous.
- 47:44Speaker 3: I don't know. I don't know what it was. But
- 47:46Speaker 3: at the end of the day, like I got a
- 47:47Speaker 3: shoulder run.
- 47:47Speaker 4: So if you know, I'm gonna still crack my jokes
- 47:50Speaker 4: and I'm gonna be laughing because one thing about it.
- 47:52Speaker 4: If nobody laughed at my joke, she gonna laugh at
- 47:55Speaker 4: my joke. I mean one little giggle, that's all I mean.
- 48:00Speaker 4: So if you're not laughing, I don't care as long as.
- 48:03Speaker 3: As soon as I hear that I got it and laughing.
- 48:09Speaker 3: Take laughing. But yeah, I don't know that was.
- 48:12Speaker 1: We ain't even laughing ours, Like, like, damn, bro, this
- 48:16Speaker 1: is terrible.
- 48:17Speaker 3: Laugh Still.
- 48:20Speaker 5: Listen, we have I know, but we I mean, it happens, right,
- 48:24Speaker 5: like you get people and you could be fans of
- 48:28Speaker 5: somebody you never know who people really aren't.
- 48:30Speaker 2: You got to sit in and have a conversation you
- 48:33Speaker 2: like I never knew.
- 48:36Speaker 5: But some people also don't like interviews. So it's like, yeah,
- 48:41Speaker 5: we've interviewed people.
- 48:42Speaker 2: And as soon as the cameras went off, they like, yeah,
- 48:44Speaker 2: blah blah.
- 48:45Speaker 3: Blah, like where was this?
- 48:48Speaker 4: But I think it's crazy because essentially poor Minds is
- 48:51Speaker 4: really not an interview. We just want to sit down
- 48:54Speaker 4: and chop it and kick the ship, like, oh, so,
- 48:59Speaker 4: who was the last person you had sex with? Because
- 49:02Speaker 4: I really don't give a damn we're not talking about
- 49:04Speaker 4: on the headline because most of the time these people
- 49:07Speaker 4: are sending us, you know, the rundown before things we
- 49:09Speaker 4: can't talk about anyway, and we don't care because we
- 49:12Speaker 4: already have the rundown of what we want to talk to,
- 49:14Speaker 4: things that we want to know that has nothing to
- 49:16Speaker 4: do with the obvious because we don't do clickbait.
- 49:19Speaker 3: So it's kind of like, if you don't want to talk,
- 49:22Speaker 3: well we're.
- 49:22Speaker 4: Gonna talk, and you're gonna feel awkward and the backlash
- 49:25Speaker 4: will always be on them. And I don't think people
- 49:27Speaker 4: realize that if you come on somebody else's platform and
- 49:30Speaker 4: it looks like you don't want to be there, they're like, well,
- 49:32Speaker 4: why are you here?
- 49:33Speaker 3: Because they don't like us having guests anyway. They don't
- 49:37Speaker 3: even like us having guests, so it's like you better
- 49:39Speaker 3: do your big one now.
- 49:40Speaker 4: And I just don't like people that I have to
- 49:42Speaker 4: like really just go and try to pull things out
- 49:44Speaker 4: of you. If you don't want to be interviewed, if
- 49:47Speaker 4: you don't want to be on the show.
- 49:48Speaker 3: Don't come.
- 49:49Speaker 5: You don't have to come and tell your team to
- 49:51Speaker 5: stop setting up your interviews because you obviously don't.
- 49:54Speaker 4: Know how to because during one of the interviews, like
- 49:58Speaker 4: their team was behind them, like like telling the person
- 50:02Speaker 4: to like you.
- 50:02Speaker 5: Know, yeah, we had interviews where somebody's team would like
- 50:08Speaker 5: stop the interview and be like, hey, listen, you gotta
- 50:10Speaker 5: get more energy in the interview because when they see this,
- 50:13Speaker 5: yeah look crazy.
- 50:15Speaker 2: Yeah. And I was like, listen to your team, get
- 50:18Speaker 2: yours on.
- 50:19Speaker 4: And it's been a lot of people that have surprised me.
- 50:21Speaker 4: Like Luci was one of my favorite interviews. Like he
- 50:24Speaker 4: was so he was really funny. Yes, he had a
- 50:26Speaker 4: great personality, Like he showed up and he was just like,
- 50:29Speaker 4: you know, ready to kick it, King the Man. That's
- 50:31Speaker 4: another that's a friend in real life, you know. But
- 50:34Speaker 4: I think it's like when we have interviews with people
- 50:36Speaker 4: where it seems like it's cousins kicking it having a
- 50:38Speaker 4: good time. That's what they like to see. And I
- 50:40Speaker 4: think sometimes people just take themselves too seriously.
- 50:42Speaker 3: To you know what I'm saying, or maybe too I'll.
- 50:45Speaker 4: Be trying to get people to benefit of it out
- 50:46Speaker 4: because I think some people be having social anxiety too.
- 50:49Speaker 3: Yeah, just being on public make them nervous.
- 50:56Speaker 4: Our set is intimidating. I didn't realize that till my
- 51:00Speaker 4: friend had told me that. When she came on set.
- 51:02Speaker 4: She was like, well, y'all said, it is very intimidating.
- 51:04Speaker 4: Like it's a large setup.
- 51:06Speaker 3: We got big old cameras, lights.
- 51:09Speaker 4: It's a full production. I'm used to seeing it, so
- 51:12Speaker 4: when I walk in it's not nothing to me. But
- 51:14Speaker 4: when somebody walks in, it's like, oh my god. Yeah,
- 51:16Speaker 4: because I think people think, oh, this is just a
- 51:18Speaker 4: podcast and they walk in there like, oh my god,
- 51:20Speaker 4: it's a show. People walk into our set They're like,
- 51:23Speaker 4: oh my god, this is really nice, and I'm like, yeah,
- 51:25Speaker 4: it it's a lot of people in the room. It's
- 51:27Speaker 4: a lot of people in the room between like sitting
- 51:30Speaker 4: and seeing people in it.
- 51:32Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, it's a lot.
- 51:35Speaker 5: Yeah, you gotta give people benefit of the doubt. But
- 51:41Speaker 5: I also just think just some people, some people feel
- 51:44Speaker 5: like they're bigger in the program and they feel like
- 51:45Speaker 5: they don't have to do interviews and stuff like that.
- 51:48Speaker 5: And I'm like, man, this ain't the way the internet
- 51:50Speaker 5: works anymore. Like people want to know your personality. And
- 51:53Speaker 5: a lot of times we man, we be having so
- 51:54Speaker 5: much fun on our show, I'll be forgetting to talk
- 51:57Speaker 5: about what the person there for. Yeah.
- 52:03Speaker 1: Another segment for the Faith Project. Yeah, mental health check
- 52:08Speaker 1: in the Faith Project is transitional housing for X offenders.
- 52:12Speaker 1: Make sure you check them out. Uh, Drea Lex, How
- 52:16Speaker 1: do you, guys strengthen your mental health?
- 52:18Speaker 2: What do you do?
- 52:19Speaker 5: Oh?
- 52:20Speaker 4: I do a few things, Like I really enjoy working out.
- 52:23Speaker 4: I feel like that's just so good for my mental health.
- 52:25Speaker 4: Like when I'm not working out, I just and for
- 52:29Speaker 4: the most part, for the past two and a half years,
- 52:31Speaker 4: I've been working out consistently.
- 52:32Speaker 3: But you know, sometimes we.
- 52:33Speaker 4: All get busy schedules and then it'll be like a
- 52:35Speaker 4: week or two that you have, you know, kind of
- 52:37Speaker 4: been slacking. And when I start slacking for like a
- 52:40Speaker 4: week or so, I just don't feel the same mentally,
- 52:43Speaker 4: Like I don't know, it just does something for me.
- 52:45Speaker 4: I feel like it centers me, It keeps me calm,
- 52:47Speaker 4: it keeps me focused. So I really enjoy working out.
- 52:51Speaker 4: Of course, going to therapy, I think it's really really important.
- 52:54Speaker 4: If you're saying that going to therapy is very important,
- 52:57Speaker 4: I mean it definitely helped me a lot. I started
- 52:59Speaker 4: going to therapy right after my dad passed away five
- 53:02Speaker 4: years ago, and it really helped me get through the grief.
- 53:05Speaker 4: I mean, obviously something that I'm still dealing with. You
- 53:08Speaker 4: never really stop a greeving, but I'm in a much
- 53:10Speaker 4: better space. And I will attribute a lot of that
- 53:13Speaker 4: to me going to therapy and then praying, you gotta
- 53:16Speaker 4: stay prayed up.
- 53:17Speaker 2: I got to stay prayed up. God is good, I.
- 53:21Speaker 3: Think for me journaling.
- 53:22Speaker 4: I journal a lot because I think sometimes I tend
- 53:25Speaker 4: to be very hard on myself. So I write something
- 53:29Speaker 4: every day, even if it's just a small paragraph, even
- 53:31Speaker 4: it's just a sentence. So I'm able to go back,
- 53:33Speaker 4: like a year ago today, I can tell you exactly
- 53:35Speaker 4: what I was doing, what I did, how I was feeling.
- 53:37Speaker 4: So I'm always like being hard on myself, and I'm like,
- 53:40Speaker 4: I can go back six months and I'd be like, girl,
- 53:43Speaker 4: but look where you were six months ago versus now,
- 53:45Speaker 4: like you have made progress, even if it's just a
- 53:47Speaker 4: little bit, because I think, I mean, it's even like
- 53:49Speaker 4: working out right, you can reach your goal and you
- 53:52Speaker 4: still not be satisfied. But if you would have took
- 53:54Speaker 4: a before picture of what you look like, you would
- 53:56Speaker 4: be like, Okay, well I have made progress.
- 53:58Speaker 3: Let me stop being hard on myself.
- 54:00Speaker 4: So journaling is something that I've been doing for years
- 54:03Speaker 4: that really help helps keep me grounded. And also church,
- 54:07Speaker 4: I'm a I am a church girly, you know, shout
- 54:09Speaker 4: out to Victory Minuetown.
- 54:10Speaker 3: That's where I go.
- 54:11Speaker 4: But I recently started watching Pastor mic and I really
- 54:15Speaker 4: enjoy his service. I was never like, I'm not a
- 54:18Speaker 4: person who kind of gets into like the mega churches
- 54:21Speaker 4: and like with the big following. But I was at
- 54:25Speaker 4: a friend's house and it was on the TV and
- 54:27Speaker 4: I end up watching it. It was actually really good.
- 54:29Speaker 4: So I've been Yes, I've been tuned into him lately.
- 54:32Speaker 4: So yes, So yeah, that's my things, journal in charge,
- 54:37Speaker 4: and of course therapy. I'm in therapy as well.
- 54:38Speaker 5: So now, what's the biggest misconception that you guys would
- 54:43Speaker 5: think that people have about y'all.
- 54:46Speaker 4: Somebody else is just asked us these recently, and for me,
- 54:49Speaker 4: I said, it's people think that Linke's is more Extraverty
- 54:53Speaker 4: and I'm more Introverty, and it's actually.
- 54:54Speaker 3: The other way around. I think that's like a big
- 54:58Speaker 3: misconception that people be having about it.
- 55:00Speaker 4: Is like I don't think people would think that I'm
- 55:03Speaker 4: as outgoing as I am, and I'm like a home body.
- 55:08Speaker 3: I love being at home.
- 55:09Speaker 4: And it's crazy because I was thinking to myself when
- 55:11Speaker 4: I was on my couch yesterday, I was like, I
- 55:14Speaker 4: think I have actually made my house is like the
- 55:16Speaker 4: whole thing with my house is I wanted to be
- 55:18Speaker 4: warm and cozy. I think I've made it too cozy.
- 55:24Speaker 4: So I was like, oh my gosh, I think I
- 55:25Speaker 4: made this like too too cozy. So now I'm like
- 55:29Speaker 4: working on my front room area and I'm like, Okay,
- 55:30Speaker 4: maybe I need to spend more time in here so
- 55:32Speaker 4: I can feel like, you know, let me just not
- 55:34Speaker 4: sit up and lounge all the time. But yeah, I'm
- 55:37Speaker 4: one hundred percent homebody. But I think for me, the
- 55:39Speaker 4: biggest misconception that people have is they think I'm like
- 55:44Speaker 4: I think they think I'm like this all the time,
- 55:47Speaker 4: like outgoing and funny and always turns up. And it's
- 55:51Speaker 4: like in my real life, I'm actually really not really extremely,
- 55:54Speaker 4: but I'm really soft in real life, Like I'm very
- 55:57Speaker 4: I'm a very caring person. I'm at home cooking and cleaning,
- 56:01Speaker 4: like I'm very just like chill. I'm a lot more
- 56:04Speaker 4: chill than people think I am. And I think for
- 56:06Speaker 4: me Andre as well, we have this reputation that kind
- 56:09Speaker 4: of just stuck with us.
- 56:10Speaker 3: Like, oh, we're we're gold diggers. We only like one
- 56:13Speaker 3: type of man and this is all we care about.
- 56:15Speaker 4: But it's like on the other side, we're very we're
- 56:18Speaker 4: educated women, we work hard, and we take a lot
- 56:21Speaker 4: of pride in being business women. Like of course when
- 56:24Speaker 4: we date, we want somebody that has something to bring
- 56:27Speaker 4: to the table.
- 56:27Speaker 3: But that's not enough. You can't just have money and
- 56:30Speaker 3: that be it.
- 56:31Speaker 4: And I think people still try to put us in
- 56:33Speaker 4: this category of like because things that we used to
- 56:35Speaker 4: say and used to talk about. But it's like, at
- 56:37Speaker 4: the end of the day, we're running a company. We're
- 56:39Speaker 4: running a business, and you know, I just think we're
- 56:42Speaker 4: we're a lot smarter than what people, you know, don't
- 56:44Speaker 4: want to give us credit for success.
- 56:47Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 56:48Speaker 4: Yeah, we had a conversation with our accounting yesterday. Very
- 56:51Speaker 4: successful business, very success.
- 56:53Speaker 5: Well a lot of meated by women's success too, and
- 56:57Speaker 5: good I want.
- 56:58Speaker 4: You to be didn't get out my wafe skin, here's
- 57:00Speaker 4: the right ones away? Yes, sure, I love that. I
- 57:02Speaker 4: actually if you, if I make you feel some type
- 57:06Speaker 4: of way, stay away from me.
- 57:08Speaker 3: That's what.
- 57:09Speaker 4: And that's for women too, because women sometimes will be
- 57:11Speaker 4: like that. They may not want to be your friend
- 57:13Speaker 4: or they don't want to be around you. I have
- 57:15Speaker 4: one of my best friends, she's she works in the
- 57:17Speaker 4: corporate world, but she's very successful, and she had a
- 57:19Speaker 4: friend tell her like, ooh, all you talk about is money.
- 57:22Speaker 3: That's enough.
- 57:23Speaker 4: But I think that's kind of weird because it's like
- 57:26Speaker 4: I love having conversations with dre by money because how
- 57:28Speaker 4: can we get to it?
- 57:29Speaker 3: How can we make this even with like investments and stuff.
- 57:32Speaker 4: She's the one that got me into like saving my money,
- 57:35Speaker 4: investing and stuff because I need to learn these things.
- 57:37Speaker 1: Like that's all a clip of circulating about. Yes, you know,
- 57:42Speaker 1: I know it.
- 57:42Speaker 4: Sounds crazy, but I was even checking the wrong down website.
- 57:45Speaker 4: She was like, bitch, yo, this is not your credit score.
- 57:47Speaker 4: This is the right credit score. So I had to
- 57:49Speaker 4: get all my stuff together. But I think it's important
- 57:52Speaker 4: to have conversations with your friends like that, because like,
- 57:54Speaker 4: how can we do better? Because everybody wants the gatekeep
- 57:58Speaker 4: things and I've never been I feel like, growing up,
- 58:01Speaker 4: your parents would always tell you, like, you don't tell
- 58:04Speaker 4: nobody how much money you make. You don't tell them
- 58:07Speaker 4: what your salary is, and how much money you got
- 58:09Speaker 4: saved up and all of these things.
- 58:10Speaker 3: But it's like, but why not?
- 58:12Speaker 2: Why not?
- 58:12Speaker 4: I feel like that's how we learn as people, and
- 58:15Speaker 4: that's how more of us. Yeah, that's how more of
- 58:17Speaker 4: us can become more financially literate by letting other people know,
- 58:21Speaker 4: because you don't.
- 58:22Speaker 3: If you don't know, you can't do it.
- 58:23Speaker 4: And I feel like growing up our parents, a lot
- 58:26Speaker 4: of our parents didn't have the tools to teach us.
- 58:28Speaker 4: But it's like, now that I know better, why would
- 58:31Speaker 4: I not spread the words to other people to help
- 58:33Speaker 4: them get.
- 58:36Speaker 2: In the same position.
- 58:38Speaker 3: I think you're talking.
- 58:39Speaker 4: About money with your friends, with anybody is like a
- 58:41Speaker 4: great now. Of course, it's not like strangers, yeah, people,
- 58:45Speaker 4: but the people in your circle, like, to me, it's
- 58:48Speaker 4: nothing wrong. With that, because, like Leck said, you could
- 58:51Speaker 4: put them onto something that they didn't know about, and
- 58:53Speaker 4: now they're gaining more interest on their money instead of
- 58:55Speaker 4: just letting me.
- 58:56Speaker 1: See thy sit there. Actually the way thing to do,
- 59:00Speaker 1: especially if you have a lot of it.
- 59:02Speaker 5: It's healthy to talk about money conversations. I talk men
- 59:05Speaker 5: and already talk about money conversations every day.
- 59:08Speaker 1: We don't stop. Sometimes I gotta changed the subject, get
- 59:12Speaker 1: to a point.
- 59:13Speaker 5: Goddamn, I'm just so obsessed with like everything that I do.
- 59:16Speaker 5: And I know, like I know I can and I
- 59:19Speaker 5: know how hard.
- 59:20Speaker 3: Yeah. He don't got no kids yet. Yeah, we don't
- 59:23Speaker 3: even Yeah, yeah, because it's.
- 59:25Speaker 1: Like it's like, let's say, take out the garbage in like.
- 59:31Speaker 2: Like they got talk.
- 59:33Speaker 5: We gotta talk about this we got because take this
- 59:35Speaker 5: ship out right, Yeah, he do be getting It's goddamn
- 59:39Speaker 5: to do some baths and homework.
- 59:41Speaker 1: I mean, I like, look, so this is funny. Not
- 59:44Speaker 1: the inter be my bad. This is a funny story
- 59:47Speaker 1: about our relationship. You know, I have two times that
- 59:50Speaker 1: I talked to everybody, like when I get off the
- 59:52Speaker 1: radio because we'll do this ship. We got radio.
- 59:54Speaker 2: I'm gonna go home and I
