- 0:00Speaker 1: I with Alexi Napola and Marissa Patton, an iHeartRadio podcast.
- 0:07Speaker 2: Yeahmiga, this is our second episode of Ask Me Anything.
- 0:11Speaker 1: Oh my god, these are my favorite. I love when
- 0:13Speaker 1: the fans rite us questions. That's my favorite because they're
- 0:17Speaker 1: always the like easiest ones.
- 0:18Speaker 3: It's about we're so used to being on the hot seat.
- 0:21Speaker 2: It's so easy for us to answer all these questions,
- 0:23Speaker 2: even if they may be uncomfortable, but in this case
- 0:26Speaker 2: they're not.
- 0:27Speaker 3: They're They're all fun questions that we love. They're so good.
- 0:30Speaker 3: They're so good.
- 0:30Speaker 1: I got creepy ones, though, I on mine that were
- 0:34Speaker 1: just like rated acts that I had to ignore.
- 0:36Speaker 3: Really, I winked on me.
- 0:38Speaker 2: Oh no, okay, Well, let's talk a little bit of housewives,
- 0:42Speaker 2: because of course, you know, we're always going to have
- 0:44Speaker 2: some questions that are related to the housewives.
- 0:47Speaker 3: We try not we don't like to do those, Okay,
- 0:49Speaker 3: So this is this one about.
- 0:51Speaker 2: One of the questions is exactly what I'm talking about.
- 0:54Speaker 2: Why don't you talk more about housewives on I put forward?
- 0:57Speaker 3: Because we don't want to.
- 0:58Speaker 2: So when Marathon and I decided to do the podcast,
- 1:01Speaker 2: we promised ourselves that we were not going to talk
- 1:03Speaker 2: about the housewives, you know what, because we want you
- 1:06Speaker 2: to watch our show. This is not about our show.
- 1:08Speaker 2: Our show is our show, which is the Real Housewives
- 1:10Speaker 2: of Miami, and we want you to tune in to
- 1:14Speaker 2: Brabo and Peacock and watch everything that's going on in
- 1:17Speaker 2: our lives at the moment on the on that platform.
- 1:20Speaker 1: We love Bravo, we love Peacock. We really love what
- 1:23Speaker 1: all the women do. They entertain all of us. We're
- 1:25Speaker 1: all here for a reason. We all bring something different
- 1:27Speaker 1: at the table. So that's why we don't do that.
- 1:31Speaker 3: Next question, what's our favorite memory together?
- 1:35Speaker 1: Our favorite memory together? That's very difficult, Alexia, because there's
- 1:38Speaker 1: so many, Like right now, we're making a very fun memory.
- 1:41Speaker 1: I just think anytime we're together and we're laughing, they're
- 1:44Speaker 1: great memories. And there's so many of those that I
- 1:46Speaker 1: can't even pinpoint.
- 1:47Speaker 3: So can I tell you something that I love that
- 1:48Speaker 3: you just told me recently in Mexico? Was you told me? No?
- 1:53Speaker 3: So you said, you know what.
- 1:54Speaker 2: I just realize that I've traveled with you more like
- 1:57Speaker 2: all over the world than with any other front.
- 2:00Speaker 3: And I thought that was pretty cool.
- 2:01Speaker 2: I said, wow, like that's really cool, Like I'm your
- 2:04Speaker 2: friend that you've traveled the most. Who've been to Thailand,
- 2:06Speaker 2: We've been to Mexico. We've been to New York so
- 2:09Speaker 2: many times. We've been to California, to La We've been
- 2:12Speaker 2: to Atlanta.
- 2:14Speaker 3: I mean everywhere.
- 2:15Speaker 2: Right, We've been to so many places together, Bahamas, Hampton's, Hampton's,
- 2:21Speaker 2: and not only for the show. In our real personal
- 2:23Speaker 2: life we have as well, not only for the show life.
- 2:26Speaker 3: So I thought that was pretty cool. I love that
- 2:27Speaker 3: you said that. It's true. It's true.
- 2:29Speaker 1: And I used to have a PR firm, as you know,
- 2:33Speaker 1: and I traveled a lot with my staff and my
- 2:34Speaker 1: own business partner. But we've traveled a lot more and
- 2:38Speaker 1: been to a lot farther, you know, more exotic places
- 2:42Speaker 1: together than I have with anybody.
- 2:43Speaker 3: I think, even with one of my husbands. Steve's catching
- 2:47Speaker 3: up though now.
- 2:48Speaker 2: Yes, yeah, he had competition, so he's like, let me
- 2:52Speaker 2: take her on a good trip this summer.
- 2:55Speaker 3: Yeah. Yeah.
- 2:56Speaker 2: So, speaking of friends, what would you do if you
- 2:59Speaker 2: see an ex friend in public? Would you say hi
- 3:02Speaker 2: to her or him?
- 3:03Speaker 3: Or would you ignore them?
- 3:05Speaker 1: This actually just happened to me when we were at
- 3:07Speaker 1: Polo on the Beach. I saw an enemy, and she
- 3:11Speaker 1: looked at me and smiled, and I was like, oh, hey,
- 3:13Speaker 1: but I had had a lot of tequilas, so I
- 3:15Speaker 1: guess without alcohol, right, I said high and I kept
- 3:21Speaker 1: it moving.
- 3:22Speaker 3: One if I had a drink.
- 3:25Speaker 2: It depends, like in the mood I'm in, I may
- 3:26Speaker 2: say hello to the person and might even talk to
- 3:29Speaker 2: them and have like a whole conversation. Right, But if not,
- 3:33Speaker 2: if I'm like sober, and it depends on mean like well, the.
- 3:38Speaker 1: Gravity of course in between you. Then you know, it's like, yeah,
- 3:43Speaker 1: sometimes I think it's better to ignore, you know. I
- 3:45Speaker 1: feel like, sometimes, you know, ignorance is the best thing.
- 3:48Speaker 2: I think that that's the best way of getting anybody back,
- 3:50Speaker 2: is by ignoring them. And I think sometimes you're the
- 3:53Speaker 2: bigger person if you like do that. So, like I said,
- 3:57Speaker 2: it depends who it is and I and what they did.
- 4:01Speaker 1: Speaking of relationships, Yes, speaking of relationships, a person has
- 4:06Speaker 1: a query here what qualities are most important when choosing
- 4:09Speaker 1: a life partner?
- 4:10Speaker 3: What do you look for? My friend?
- 4:12Speaker 2: You know, what I look for today is a lot
- 4:14Speaker 2: different than what I looked for when I was much younger, obviously,
- 4:18Speaker 2: say so, what I look for today is you know
- 4:23Speaker 2: someone that I that enjoys the same things I do,
- 4:28Speaker 2: and that we're kind of like in the same stage
- 4:30Speaker 2: of our lives right now and we want the same things.
- 4:32Speaker 2: And you know, I do look for someone that's loyal
- 4:35Speaker 2: and that I can trust. Yeah, to me, those are
- 4:38Speaker 2: very you know, important characteristics and traits that I to me,
- 4:44Speaker 2: is important in a life partner. Somebody that I can
- 4:47Speaker 2: trust and that is loyal, and somebody that wants to
- 4:51Speaker 2: live their life like I want to live my life.
- 4:52Speaker 3: That we have the same wants and the same needs.
- 4:55Speaker 1: I think that I was always in love with love
- 5:00Speaker 1: and I wanted to do something different than everybody else
- 5:02Speaker 1: around me. All my girlfriends married guys they knew when
- 5:05Speaker 1: they were in their twenties that were friends with all
- 5:07Speaker 1: their friends, and it was the same group, and everyone
- 5:10Speaker 1: just wanted to live in the same group forever, in
- 5:11Speaker 1: this big Kumbaya, not Marathol.
- 5:15Speaker 3: I had to look for air. I need to do
- 5:18Speaker 3: something different.
- 5:19Speaker 1: And I was dating all these Arab guys and I
- 5:21Speaker 1: met my first husband was Turkish, and I'm like, we
- 5:23Speaker 1: all believe in God. It doesn't matter if you call
- 5:26Speaker 1: them all our God. It's the same God. We're all
- 5:27Speaker 1: going to get along. But in the end of the day,
- 5:30Speaker 1: and then I had two French husbands and we you know,
- 5:35Speaker 1: if you don't have the same values and ethics and
- 5:38Speaker 1: beliefs down the road, it becomes a huge problem.
- 5:44Speaker 3: It does.
- 5:44Speaker 2: But when you're young in naives and you don't know
- 5:47Speaker 2: those things. And until I was fifty, right, and then
- 5:55Speaker 2: I met Steve who actually was raised like me. We
- 5:58Speaker 2: have the same religions, believe same ethics. I thought, listen,
- 6:02Speaker 2: that's impossible. It's all love, It's all the same God,
- 6:05Speaker 2: We're all going to get along. It's going to be
- 6:07Speaker 2: Love is everything. Love is love, which is true idea.
- 6:11Speaker 1: Just the littlest things can cause the biggest problem if
- 6:14Speaker 1: you don't celebrate it the same way or think the
- 6:16Speaker 1: same way, or it starts separating the families. It just
- 6:19Speaker 1: creates so much division. And then I finally.
- 6:23Speaker 3: Decided, I mean, I'm Marria gringo.
- 6:27Speaker 1: Yeah you know they say Mary or father. Well, this
- 6:29Speaker 1: was the first time, and we get along perfectly. It's flawless.
- 6:33Speaker 1: We believe the same things, we grew up the same way,
- 6:35Speaker 1: we think the same way, and and that's you know,
- 6:39Speaker 1: that makes life well, I feel.
- 6:41Speaker 2: Like at the stage that we are now and like
- 6:44Speaker 2: you know, in my case, the third time around, you know,
- 6:46Speaker 2: you look for things that we're missing your other relationships.
- 6:50Speaker 3: A hundred percent.
- 6:51Speaker 2: For me, loyalty and trust is very important because maybe
- 6:54Speaker 2: I didn't have that in my you know, last relationships.
- 6:57Speaker 2: I did thinking you know, coming into it, but out
- 7:00Speaker 2: at the end you kind of realize you didn't. So like,
- 7:02Speaker 2: that's very important to me because I was dated by
- 7:04Speaker 2: that now and then I also think it's very important
- 7:08Speaker 2: to like want the same things in life you know,
- 7:11Speaker 2: and have, like you said, the same morals and values,
- 7:13Speaker 2: grow together because I feel that when there's separation, when
- 7:16Speaker 2: you don't grow together and want the same things and
- 7:19Speaker 2: need the same things.
- 7:20Speaker 1: One hundred percent Yes, And you have to be able
- 7:24Speaker 1: to love yourself in order to love someone else, and
- 7:28Speaker 1: hope you find someone else that is open to loving
- 7:31Speaker 1: you and they love themselves too, because a lot of
- 7:34Speaker 1: people just get a relationship, be in a relationship and
- 7:36Speaker 1: they don't they don't like themselves and they can't even
- 7:38Speaker 1: like you.
- 7:39Speaker 2: They're just going through the motions. So well, yeah, that's
- 7:42Speaker 2: a beautiful thing about aging. Also, you know that it
- 7:45Speaker 2: comes with wisdom yes, and you know it's so different,
- 7:48Speaker 2: like the Alexia that was twenty three, twenty five years old.
- 7:52Speaker 2: You know, the first time around was completely different. You know,
- 7:54Speaker 2: they probably said, oh, what did you know, what did
- 7:56Speaker 2: you look for in a guy? And I would have said, oh,
- 7:58Speaker 2: like he's good looking, he has my lady. You know,
- 8:02Speaker 2: he wants to have kids. I want to have like
- 8:04Speaker 2: four or five kids, you know, completely different.
- 8:07Speaker 3: Yeah, I wanted to have I wanted to have a
- 8:09Speaker 3: lot of kids.
- 8:09Speaker 2: By the way, but remember my two comfort tends, so
- 8:13Speaker 2: I like, you have to take two.
- 8:16Speaker 3: I'm trying to say. It's like, it's so different. Like
- 8:18Speaker 3: so I wish obviously that I was like younger.
- 8:20Speaker 2: That I had more time, you know, more time to
- 8:22Speaker 2: live and to be you know, married to Todd. But
- 8:26Speaker 2: with what I know today, right, with all the wisdom
- 8:28Speaker 2: that we have. But you know, it is what it is,
- 8:31Speaker 2: and you know we're still young. But yeah, that's what
- 8:36Speaker 2: that's what. That's all I wanted a relationship. It's not
- 8:38Speaker 2: even that much, right, Like I thought it was funny
- 8:40Speaker 2: because like I really I think I heard like a
- 8:42Speaker 2: little bit. I don't know, you saw Kim Kardashian's list
- 8:45Speaker 2: of like the guy. What she looks for in a
- 8:47Speaker 2: man and bro bro she's four years old or over forty,
- 8:52Speaker 2: I see like a roll of toilet paper, like it's
- 8:56Speaker 2: not even normal, Like, well, you're going to stay single
- 8:58Speaker 2: all your life?
- 8:59Speaker 3: What was on the list? I can't even remember.
- 9:01Speaker 2: It was multiple, it was hundreds of things, like it
- 9:04Speaker 2: wasn't even funny.
- 9:05Speaker 3: But the thing is that she believes it. But it's
- 9:09Speaker 3: that man exists and we're easy.
- 9:12Speaker 2: Because we all and I just I just learned to
- 9:15Speaker 2: ask for less but more important things, you know what
- 9:18Speaker 2: I mean, Because it's like all that other stuff I
- 9:22Speaker 2: have and I can get, I.
- 9:24Speaker 1: Asked for now for good health for me and my
- 9:26Speaker 1: husband so that we can have time together because we're
- 9:29Speaker 1: enjoy our time together.
- 9:31Speaker 3: Yes, and peace, that's all I want.
- 9:33Speaker 2: I want good health, and that's why even you know
- 9:35Speaker 2: that's that's that's all I want, because with good health
- 9:38Speaker 2: you can get everything else. And if you can have
- 9:41Speaker 2: everything else and not have good health, and you have nothing,
- 9:44Speaker 2: So for me, it's the same thing, my.
- 9:47Speaker 3: Friend, gratitude.
- 9:49Speaker 2: We're still talking about relationships because we love to talk
- 9:52Speaker 2: about relationships, which is your best way to get of
- 9:56Speaker 2: our heartbreak.
- 9:58Speaker 1: You know, well, I think you when I have the
- 10:00Speaker 1: same answer, can I say, yeah, yeah, two things prayer
- 10:06Speaker 1: and a new partner.
- 10:08Speaker 3: Right right, And I also said a new partner like movie.
- 10:11Speaker 2: But I mean that's a little bit like irresponsible and
- 10:14Speaker 2: selfish sometimes, but it does help.
- 10:16Speaker 1: Selfish is good, I'll tell you selfish, but you know
- 10:20Speaker 1: it depends.
- 10:20Speaker 2: But also travel, I feel like traveling I disconnect my
- 10:24Speaker 2: connecto And you know, for me, traveling has been really
- 10:27Speaker 2: really good and and I've seen it and other people
- 10:31Speaker 2: close to me that that's what they've done, like in
- 10:34Speaker 2: a breakup. And you know, traveling just is just takes
- 10:37Speaker 2: you to a different place and makes you see the
- 10:39Speaker 2: world differently, on yourself differently. So travel is a good
- 10:41Speaker 2: one also. And the revenge body, but I felt like
- 10:44Speaker 2: I've never had to do that. I've never had to
- 10:46Speaker 2: do the revenge body, but I think that that can
- 10:49Speaker 2: help a lot of people any word about.
- 10:51Speaker 1: Themselves because I end up with cadab or body and
- 10:54Speaker 1: then you know, and I I really when I break up,
- 10:57Speaker 1: I try to avoid every seeing that person again.
- 11:00Speaker 3: I won't go anywhere they're going to be.
- 11:03Speaker 1: Paul's like, I'm done, done, I'm done, I'm done I'm
- 11:07Speaker 1: out for good and it's over and you're never coming back.
- 11:09Speaker 3: It is if it was bad, it's just you're not
- 11:13Speaker 3: seeing You don't get to see my face again or
- 11:16Speaker 3: speak to me. That's just me. Okay, Well that's not
- 11:19Speaker 3: gonna happen with bou Bear. Not with bear Bear. No,
- 11:23Speaker 3: not with bou Bear. Okay.
- 11:34Speaker 2: So now we have some questions related to Miami. Oh
- 11:36Speaker 2: I love Miami questions. Okay, so tell me what are
- 11:39Speaker 2: some things that you've hid it with with Miami people.
- 11:42Speaker 3: Okay that you said, Wait, I've hide it with the
- 11:46Speaker 3: Miami people. Well, you know what, I.
- 11:48Speaker 1: Grew up here and I've seen Miami transform a lot,
- 11:52Speaker 1: and what I you know what drives me crazy is
- 11:55Speaker 1: these people with the fake lifestyles and pretending they're really rich.
- 11:59Speaker 1: They have no money and they buy and rent everything.
- 12:02Speaker 1: They're scamming people, scamming girls and pretending they're someone they're not,
- 12:07Speaker 1: and then a year or two later they have to
- 12:08Speaker 1: leave town and you never see them again. You know,
- 12:10Speaker 1: they call them flavor of the year, flavor of the month.
- 12:13Speaker 1: You know, those transient Miami.
- 12:14Speaker 2: People that I don't even consider than Miami people, right,
- 12:19Speaker 2: I don't even consider people.
- 12:21Speaker 1: In Miami or come to Miami and then they just
- 12:24Speaker 1: rent apartments and cars and things they can't even afford.
- 12:27Speaker 2: And I see at all the cool twenty restaurants in Miami.
- 12:33Speaker 3: Yeah, and that drives me nuts.
- 12:36Speaker 1: I live, I try to live way below my means,
- 12:39Speaker 1: and that kind of stuff just makes me crazy.
- 12:41Speaker 3: I'm very prudent, Okay, And what about you? What bugs you?
- 12:47Speaker 2: Well? You know what bothers me the way that people
- 12:49Speaker 2: in Miami drive. But that could also be many other cities,
- 12:52Speaker 2: you know, because people are from all different countries and
- 12:56Speaker 2: different cultures and different places. I mean, but that's not
- 12:59Speaker 2: really Miami people. The question is really like, what really
- 13:01Speaker 2: bothers you from Miami people. I think that what you
- 13:04Speaker 2: said was good, will stick to that. You know that
- 13:07Speaker 2: people from Miami tend to be like a little bit
- 13:09Speaker 2: more show off or you know, but I don't even
- 13:12Speaker 2: know if that would really be Miami people. I feel
- 13:14Speaker 2: like Miami is very transient, and there's a lot of
- 13:17Speaker 2: happen in a.
- 13:18Speaker 3: Lot of big cities. It happens to a lot of
- 13:20Speaker 3: big cities.
- 13:20Speaker 1: But I feel like we get an influx of it
- 13:22Speaker 1: because we'll get people from all over here it's really
- 13:26Speaker 1: prevalent here, the kind of cars you see going down
- 13:29Speaker 1: the road and the places people live, and then before
- 13:32Speaker 1: you know it, they're not even living there anymore, and
- 13:34Speaker 1: you don't see them anymore. They disappear, and it's just
- 13:37Speaker 1: I don't know, I've seen it a million times. I've
- 13:39Speaker 1: been seeing this forever. Only in Daed'll flow right off floor.
- 13:48Speaker 2: There's so many I think even Miami people have become
- 13:50Speaker 2: like really popular in social media. Like you said, like
- 13:53Speaker 2: only in Dade or they say that only these things,
- 13:56Speaker 2: so it's like, you know, only in Dade and people
- 13:58Speaker 2: from Miami, you know what I mean. Like they put
- 14:01Speaker 2: like alloud music like in their cars or like in
- 14:03Speaker 2: their yachts or in their boats, like you know on
- 14:05Speaker 2: Sundays when they go out to go out on their boats,
- 14:09Speaker 2: you know, they barbeque like in their balconies.
- 14:11Speaker 3: You know. There's like a bunch of like memes and
- 14:13Speaker 3: things like that.
- 14:14Speaker 2: Like only in Miami and only in day that that
- 14:17Speaker 2: happened here in Miami. There's so many things that kind
- 14:20Speaker 2: of like bother me. But I guess because I live here,
- 14:22Speaker 2: I'm gone used to it. People were up here. Yeah,
- 14:25Speaker 2: I'm like, okay, this is normal, you know, when you
- 14:27Speaker 2: realize that it's not normal when you visit other cities
- 14:30Speaker 2: and other states, you're like, you know, I guess it's
- 14:33Speaker 2: only in Miami, But you know, I guess.
- 14:35Speaker 3: You know, I've always lived here, so I you know.
- 14:37Speaker 1: I remember when I was growing up, say that people
- 14:40Speaker 1: do barbecues and wear things I was growing up, and
- 14:42Speaker 1: keep the skin. And back then the Sinaesta Hotel existed.
- 14:46Speaker 1: There was a fire in the hotel because a family
- 14:49Speaker 1: rented a room and tried to roast a pig in
- 14:51Speaker 1: the baptob.
- 14:56Speaker 2: I don't see you the bathtop, but I mean I can.
- 15:02Speaker 2: Those are the things I mean today, there's worst things
- 15:04Speaker 2: than that. If you didn't live in Miami.
- 15:07Speaker 3: Where would you love to live if it was in Miami.
- 15:09Speaker 1: I mean, I would love to live anywhere with four seasons,
- 15:12Speaker 1: because I love the snow, the change of the leaves.
- 15:14Speaker 1: New England's lovely. Maybe somewhere you know.
- 15:18Speaker 3: You've always said Aspen, Colorado.
- 15:21Speaker 1: Yeah no, no, no, not anymore. Anyone, New England or
- 15:29Speaker 1: somewhere in Europe. That's for me.
- 15:34Speaker 2: If I leave Miami has to be for Europe, because
- 15:38Speaker 2: I think Miami is one of the best cities, you know,
- 15:40Speaker 2: to live. It like for me for my lifestyle, what
- 15:42Speaker 2: I like and right, you know, for here, if I
- 15:46Speaker 2: were to live, if I were to leave Miami, I
- 15:48Speaker 2: would love to live in Madrid, where I already lived,
- 15:51Speaker 2: and if Madrid is an incredible city, or anywhere in Italy.
- 15:57Speaker 3: Italy is lovely. There's so many Italy or fine. Yeah,
- 16:00Speaker 3: for sure.
- 16:01Speaker 1: My dad had a home in Italy and I can't
- 16:02Speaker 1: remember where it was anyway.
- 16:05Speaker 2: Next next a question from Mexico.
- 16:09Speaker 3: Well, how was Mexican Spanish different from Cuban. It's so
- 16:13Speaker 3: different from Cuban Spanish.
- 16:15Speaker 2: Well, we were just in Mexico and we can tell
- 16:17Speaker 2: the difference. Besides obviously the accent. It's so different. But
- 16:23Speaker 2: I s Mechicano. Yeah, they sing when they speak like Argentinians.
- 16:28Speaker 2: I've always said my favorite Spanish was Mexican and Argentinian because.
- 16:33Speaker 1: They say right and it's very proper pleasant to the ear,
- 16:37Speaker 1: you know.
- 16:37Speaker 3: I don't like the Spanish from Spain. It's very kind
- 16:41Speaker 3: of like heavy list. It's rough.
- 16:46Speaker 1: I don't I like the singing. When I hear singing
- 16:49Speaker 1: in sweetness, I like that it's to my ear, it
- 16:53Speaker 1: booths me.
- 16:55Speaker 2: Right, But for our our sister Mexican Spanish, since Cuban
- 17:00Speaker 2: Spanish is very different because we said, you know, we
- 17:04Speaker 2: not only in the accent, but the words that we
- 17:08Speaker 2: that we use a lot of them is the same,
- 17:10Speaker 2: but like a lot of specific word tech for example, straw. Okay,
- 17:13Speaker 2: so we're just now in Mexico, and you know, because
- 17:16Speaker 2: we have lipstick on and the margaritia drunk a lot
- 17:18Speaker 2: of margaritis in Mexico had there, so good by the way,
- 17:23Speaker 2: they were good.
- 17:23Speaker 3: They know how to do it. So we say absent
- 17:29Speaker 3: and the Magan saying.
- 17:35Speaker 2: Sounds like a big fat ass to me, right, like one.
- 17:40Speaker 2: And so the Mexicans used say straw, and the Cubans
- 17:45Speaker 2: would say, as.
- 17:52Speaker 3: I mean, you know what I mean. You see that.
- 18:00Speaker 2: That's the perfect situation where if I were to ask
- 18:03Speaker 2: for a straw, even if I know you speak Spanish,
- 18:05Speaker 2: I would say straw.
- 18:06Speaker 3: I wouldn't say as right, oh you know, now I know.
- 18:11Speaker 1: But isn't it funny how some of our words are
- 18:16Speaker 1: perverse and then other countries are not, like boil here
- 18:20Speaker 1: and a straw, where like Puerto Rico everywhere else is
- 18:30Speaker 1: you know, yeah, right exactly.
- 18:35Speaker 2: That's what we mean defending masturbating, right, So it really
- 18:39Speaker 2: depends like on what country you're from. There's certain words
- 18:42Speaker 2: you know that can have like sexual connotations, you know, yeah,
- 18:47Speaker 2: and we.
- 18:47Speaker 3: Like like it. It's funny, you know what.
- 18:51Speaker 1: It's kind of like, you know, how you go from
- 18:53Speaker 1: state to state, Like you go to Boston and New Jersey,
- 18:55Speaker 1: you go to North Carolina. Everyone has a different accent.
- 18:58Speaker 1: It's kind of like that when you go to different countries.
- 19:00Speaker 2: Oh yeah, I know the accent for sure, for the
- 19:02Speaker 2: Spanish speaking countries, the accent for sure, but not the words.
- 19:06Speaker 1: I feel like in the American different terms really because yeah,
- 19:11Speaker 1: because like we say liquor store, but when you go
- 19:13Speaker 1: to Boston they say package store.
- 19:15Speaker 3: You know that they have different terms.
- 19:17Speaker 2: No, I know that I'm saying, like about the sexual
- 19:19Speaker 2: words I think in English.
- 19:22Speaker 3: You know, that's a whole other thing. I have to
- 19:24Speaker 3: think of.
- 19:24Speaker 2: Straw is straw, That's no worry, Yeah, there's straw. We
- 19:31Speaker 2: have a lot of different terms depending on what nationality
- 19:34Speaker 2: or what country you're from.
- 19:37Speaker 1: Yeah, well we say, I don't know about sexual terms,
- 19:40Speaker 1: but there's a lot of different terms in each state,
- 19:42Speaker 1: state by state, and there's different accents and Spanish countries.
- 19:48Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, to try to put into pursuit that we
- 19:51Speaker 2: have the Miami English, which is the best we have
- 19:54Speaker 2: a lot of language is.
- 20:05Speaker 1: So we have some mental health questions. One of them
- 20:09Speaker 1: is what is the best way to be genuinely happy?
- 20:12Speaker 1: And I feel like you've been able to overcome a
- 20:14Speaker 1: lot of things and you probably have a great answer
- 20:16Speaker 1: for this, because I know I learned a lot from you.
- 20:19Speaker 2: Well, I mean, I think you have to be happiness
- 20:21Speaker 2: comes within yourself and you have to be happy with
- 20:23Speaker 2: yourself and considering all the adversity that I've had in
- 20:27Speaker 2: my life and challenges and obstacles of always try to
- 20:32Speaker 2: have a smile in my face. And I think it
- 20:34Speaker 2: comes from like withinside because I'm like a naturally happy
- 20:38Speaker 2: person and a grateful person. But I think a lot
- 20:41Speaker 2: of my happiness has to do with my children, and
- 20:45Speaker 2: they're like an extension of my happiness. Like if I
- 20:47Speaker 2: know that they're healthy and happy, like that makes me happy.
- 20:50Speaker 3: I get that. And the people that I love as well,
- 20:53Speaker 3: you know, like my husband, my parents, my friends. Like
- 20:55Speaker 3: if I know.
- 20:56Speaker 2: You're sad, like I can't be like happy, like generally happy,
- 21:00Speaker 2: you know, like, if I know the people that I
- 21:02Speaker 2: love are going through something and they're not in a
- 21:04Speaker 2: good place in their life, I'm suffering with them as well.
- 21:06Speaker 3: So that takes that takes away a little piece of
- 21:09Speaker 3: my happiness.
- 21:10Speaker 2: I mean, happiness is a big word in it encompasses
- 21:14Speaker 2: a lot of things.
- 21:15Speaker 3: But I think that.
- 21:18Speaker 2: I'm a generally happy person, you know, And I've even
- 21:21Speaker 2: though I've gone through all these things in my life,
- 21:23Speaker 2: I've never my smile has never been taken away.
- 21:27Speaker 3: And I remember your mom telling me that.
- 21:28Speaker 2: Mariso Elsa told me, like, I know that you're going
- 21:33Speaker 2: and when your mom out of you, remember she was
- 21:35Speaker 2: like reading all of.
- 21:36Speaker 3: Us like a little bit years ago. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 21:39Speaker 3: And she.
- 21:39Speaker 2: Looked at me and she said, I, you know, you're
- 21:42Speaker 2: always smiling, and I love about that. But people don't
- 21:46Speaker 2: know how much you have to work at always. You
- 21:49Speaker 2: know that while and have to smile because people don't
- 21:54Speaker 2: know everything you have to go through to be here
- 21:55Speaker 2: with here with us now, Yeah, you show up with
- 21:58Speaker 2: a smile on your face and you're happy. So I've
- 22:02Speaker 2: always been like that person that even though I'm dealing
- 22:05Speaker 2: with all this, and it's not that you're not going
- 22:07Speaker 2: to know because I'm very expressive and I'm very and.
- 22:11Speaker 3: I tell you what right, show right, So I don't
- 22:17Speaker 3: hide things.
- 22:17Speaker 2: I'm very genuine and I'm wrong and actually talk a
- 22:20Speaker 2: lot about my personal life. But I always work on
- 22:24Speaker 2: my happiness, is what I'm trying to say too. It's like,
- 22:25Speaker 2: I think you need to work at it. You have
- 22:27Speaker 2: to because you can let all these things that bring
- 22:29Speaker 2: you down, or you can choose to be happy.
- 22:32Speaker 3: And it's you have to choose it. And I choose
- 22:34Speaker 3: to be happy every day, and it is it is.
- 22:38Speaker 2: I think a lot of my happiness at least and
- 22:40Speaker 2: me I've noticed throughout the years that has to do
- 22:43Speaker 2: with my children and with the people I love. Like
- 22:46Speaker 2: I'm easy to make happy, you know what I mean.
- 22:48Speaker 2: I don't need a lot to make me happy. All
- 22:50Speaker 2: I need is my kids and my loved wants to
- 22:52Speaker 2: be healthy and happy.
- 22:54Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, I agree, I agree. Yeah. It's all about
- 22:57Speaker 3: your frame of mind and the way you process information.
- 23:00Speaker 3: And you know I have.
- 23:01Speaker 1: We all have hard days, and I say to myself, no,
- 23:04Speaker 1: you're not going to think about that. No it's not
- 23:06Speaker 1: gonna be a big deal in two days. No, you're
- 23:08Speaker 1: not thinking about that look around you. How lucky are you?
- 23:11Speaker 1: You have a beautiful home, We have a lovely husband,
- 23:14Speaker 1: great step kids.
- 23:15Speaker 3: I mean you you you're healthy.
- 23:17Speaker 1: Like I always think of the good things and I
- 23:19Speaker 1: get myself out of the funk, and then immediately I'm happy.
- 23:22Speaker 1: And then I pour Teitos, which never hurts, I mean,
- 23:25Speaker 1: any vodka.
- 23:26Speaker 2: Sorry, I will admit if it adds to your happiness,
- 23:30Speaker 2: it makes me giggle, of course, and then I forget yeah,
- 23:34Speaker 2: and you help me giggle too, you know. So I
- 23:36Speaker 2: feel like at this point in our lives, we just
- 23:38Speaker 2: want to be surrounded with people that are going to
- 23:40Speaker 2: add to our happiness, and I'll take away from it.
- 23:43Speaker 3: So that's all we want.
- 23:44Speaker 2: You don't have to make me happy, because I make
- 23:45Speaker 2: myself happy, but you're not going to come and try
- 23:48Speaker 2: to take it away from me, because you know, no, no, no,
- 23:50Speaker 2: it's very important who you surround yourself with one hundred percent.
- 23:53Speaker 2: And in that case, I only want around I only
- 23:56Speaker 2: want to be around people that I tell my happiness
- 23:58Speaker 2: and and that's where that's why you and I are
- 24:02Speaker 2: such good friends, because you always add to my happiness.
- 24:05Speaker 3: You do too.
- 24:06Speaker 1: Whenever I sit and I see your face when we're
- 24:08Speaker 1: going to do this podcast, all of a sudden, my
- 24:10Speaker 1: energy changes and I smile, like when we go film
- 24:12Speaker 1: a scene. The minute I'm in front of you him like,
- 24:14Speaker 1: oh this is fun, Like I'll be dreading, like what's
- 24:17Speaker 1: going to happen today? And then the minute I see
- 24:19Speaker 1: your face and you smile and I smile, like this
- 24:21Speaker 1: energy activates.
- 24:22Speaker 3: I'm like, we're on, let's go.
- 24:24Speaker 2: We're the because I'm bolt like a general life that
- 24:28Speaker 2: that's like what we want, you know.
- 24:30Speaker 3: I feel like you know before me, you're animating each other.
- 24:33Speaker 2: Yes, you know what, and life is sure and we
- 24:36Speaker 2: know that, so we want to make every moment count sure.
- 24:39Speaker 2: So how do you remain which is kind of like
- 24:41Speaker 2: into the next leads to the next question. How do
- 24:43Speaker 2: you remain positive in bad situations? I pray you talk
- 24:48Speaker 2: to Alexia, I pray that for you. How do you
- 24:52Speaker 2: remain positive?
- 24:53Speaker 1: I call Alexia, I pray a lot, and then I
- 24:57Speaker 1: cancel the negative I cancel the negative thought and I
- 25:00Speaker 1: go into a place of gratitude. It's just an exercise.
- 25:03Speaker 1: You have to do it a lot. You have to
- 25:05Speaker 1: remember to do it. You can't let the negative thoughts
- 25:07Speaker 1: eat you. Up and keep you up. That's just my practice,
- 25:10Speaker 1: my mantra. I learned it to the most typical times
- 25:13Speaker 1: in my life. And I have to remind myself when
- 25:16Speaker 1: I can't sleep, I'm like, no, stop, stop.
- 25:19Speaker 3: Be grateful.
- 25:20Speaker 2: Yeah, And you know sometimes you have to like look
- 25:22Speaker 2: around and be grateful, like you said, for your life
- 25:24Speaker 2: and for all the good things, like focus on the good,
- 25:27Speaker 2: positive things that are happening in your life.
- 25:29Speaker 3: I feel like.
- 25:30Speaker 2: People forget those things and people just want to focus
- 25:33Speaker 2: on the negative and on the bad things. And I've
- 25:36Speaker 2: never lived my life like that, and that's why I've
- 25:37Speaker 2: always been very optimistic and I've always been filled with hope,
- 25:41Speaker 2: and I always think tomorrow is going to be better,
- 25:43Speaker 2: and it is, you know.
- 25:44Speaker 3: So that's what I do.
- 25:46Speaker 2: You know, I just focus on all the good because,
- 25:48Speaker 2: believe me, people, there's so much good in your life.
- 25:51Speaker 3: It's the way that you see things.
- 25:53Speaker 1: When you focus on the good, you keep attracting good.
- 25:57Speaker 1: Your thoughts attract and it's so power. It took it
- 26:01Speaker 1: was it was trial and error is how I found
- 26:05Speaker 1: out that that really works.
- 26:06Speaker 3: And it's you.
- 26:08Speaker 1: You cannot you cannot let things take over your brain
- 26:11Speaker 1: too much. If they're negative, because then you don't get
- 26:14Speaker 1: out of it, and then you keep attracting bad things.
- 26:16Speaker 1: You got to stay in the positive, focus on the positive. Anything,
- 26:21Speaker 1: just hang on to anything.
- 26:22Speaker 3: Seeing and believe me, there's a lot. There's always something great.
- 26:26Speaker 3: There's a lot. We should have a therapy website.
- 26:29Speaker 2: Yes, I think we would just give the same therapy
- 26:32Speaker 2: every week.
- 26:33Speaker 3: Well, we love our questions. Love questions. We love questions.
- 26:39Speaker 3: I wish we can like either people asking them.
- 26:42Speaker 1: Well, this was lovely, And I just want to say,
- 26:46Speaker 1: I'm going to miss you, bro, I'm leaving for three
- 26:47Speaker 1: weeks on vacation.
- 26:49Speaker 3: Don't miss me. I'm so happy for you. I will
- 26:52Speaker 3: miss you, but we have to keep in touch. You
- 26:54Speaker 3: have to FaceTime. What's upp? Yeah, what's up? I'm gonna
- 26:58Speaker 3: miss you, my friend.
- 26:59Speaker 2: But I'm so happy that you're gonna get to enjoy
- 27:02Speaker 2: with your bootbear and go on vacation. I can't wait
- 27:04Speaker 2: for mine a week later. Yes, you know, I mean
- 27:08Speaker 2: this is what life is about. You know, we need
- 27:11Speaker 2: to enjoy ourselves and travel and I think we reconnect
- 27:15Speaker 2: right with our partners. I think traveling is so great
- 27:18Speaker 2: for like relationships.
- 27:19Speaker 1: You know how much you love being in a hotel room. Yeah,
- 27:22Speaker 1: oh my god, get you crazy. Thanks, I'll sick. Yeah
- 27:29Speaker 1: see thanks best friends now secret Yeah, hotel room antic.
- 27:34Speaker 2: Yeah. I feel like everybody is like sexier and horder
- 27:36Speaker 2: in a hotel room.
- 27:38Speaker 3: The sex is way much better when we travel too.
- 27:40Speaker 3: Yeah yeah yeah, do you feel like a prostitute? I
- 27:42Speaker 3: knew you were going to say something like that.
- 27:45Speaker 1: Maybe maybe pretty girl went on, Mom, I love you.
- 27:50Speaker 1: It was so good chick chating today.
- 27:52Speaker 3: Thank you for making me feel better. I made you
