Transcript
- 0:16Speaker 1: Welcome back to this week's Off the Bench podcast from
- 0:18Speaker 1: the Premier League. I'm Sam from FL Family.
- 0:20Speaker 2: And I'm Oscar FPL focal Oscar.
- 0:23Speaker 1: We aren't quite finished with double game week twenty five. Yeah,
- 0:26Speaker 1: of course we still have Liverpool's trip to aston Villa
- 0:28Speaker 1: to play out, and man City are going to be
- 0:31Speaker 1: in European action as they played the second leg of
- 0:33Speaker 1: their Champions League qualifier. But it was a massive massive
- 0:37Speaker 1: Chip week yet again. So obviously one point one million
- 0:41Speaker 1: managers played their assistant manager chip in Game Week twenty
- 0:44Speaker 1: four and those were still active this time around. A
- 0:46Speaker 1: further nine hundred and one thousand managers played the assistant
- 0:50Speaker 1: manager chip heading into Game Week twenty five, so massives
- 0:53Speaker 1: of assistant managers in action at the moment. Plus we
- 0:57Speaker 1: had over six hundred and thirty six thousand captains played
- 1:01Speaker 1: in game week twenty five, so goodness. Everyone was hoping
- 1:05Speaker 1: for some big returns in game week twenty five. How
- 1:08Speaker 1: has it been for you so far?
- 1:09Speaker 3: Yeah, a record break in week actually, I was just
- 1:12Speaker 3: reading one of the articles on the Premier League site
- 1:14Speaker 3: right and apparently three million chips were played in total
- 1:17Speaker 3: and game of twenty five, so over a quarter of
- 1:19Speaker 3: all players.
- 1:20Speaker 2: That's a new record. Yeah.
- 1:22Speaker 3: I played the assistant manager in double game at twenty four,
- 1:25Speaker 3: and I was hoping that we'd get the double Gamic
- 1:26Speaker 3: twenty five, which of course we did in the end.
- 1:29Speaker 3: That all said fifty five points currently a bit underwhelming,
- 1:32Speaker 3: really small red arrow to fifty eight, Kate, I've got Slot,
- 1:36Speaker 3: Trent and Salah left to play. I didn't actually go
- 1:38Speaker 3: for any Villa players in the end, which maybe was
- 1:41Speaker 3: a mistake. I thought about doing the easy actor Watkins,
- 1:44Speaker 3: but I just couldn't bring myself to do it.
- 1:46Speaker 2: How are you getting on? You have a Chip active?
- 1:48Speaker 1: Yeah, like you, I had the assistant manager chip active,
- 1:51Speaker 1: although mine was somewhat different because I had been playing
- 1:54Speaker 1: the table upside over the last couple of weeks. I
- 1:57Speaker 1: had it on Moys last week and then moved it
- 1:59Speaker 1: to Emry this week, and you know what score. I
- 2:01Speaker 1: was really frustrated with myself because I made the decision
- 2:04Speaker 1: to play the assistant manager to Chip in twenty four
- 2:06Speaker 1: and twenty five because of the double double. So I thought, right, well,
- 2:09Speaker 1: at this point I've locked myself into that is my strategy,
- 2:12Speaker 1: and that's what I'm going to do. So I brought
- 2:14Speaker 1: in Emory and I was quite happy, and then as
- 2:16Speaker 1: the week progressed, I was thinking, I really think Hurtzler
- 2:21Speaker 1: might be the best bet here, and I kept kept
- 2:23Speaker 1: going back to it, and then I thought, I can't
- 2:25Speaker 1: make a change now because I've already done the Mois
- 2:27Speaker 1: to emverything. So if I then go Emory to Hurtzer,
- 2:30Speaker 1: it's going to cost me another minus four and that
- 2:32Speaker 1: just didn't seem worth it. And I thought, you know,
- 2:35Speaker 1: I've got to stick to this playing the double game
- 2:37Speaker 1: week managers thing. And of course it may still pay
- 2:40Speaker 1: off the Emory move because we still have that game
- 2:42Speaker 1: against Liverpool to go in midweek, and if aston Villa
- 2:45Speaker 1: managed to beat Liverpool in that game, then of course
- 2:48Speaker 1: it's going to look like a genius decision to have
- 2:50Speaker 1: gone with Emory. But right now I can't help but
- 2:52Speaker 1: feel a little bit frustrated with myself that I didn't
- 2:54Speaker 1: just follow my gut on Hurtzler because it would have
- 2:56Speaker 1: been so much better. But as it's gone, I've had
- 2:59Speaker 1: a really good week so far, another big green arrow
- 3:02Speaker 1: on seventy six points. At the moment I had Lewis Dass,
- 3:05Speaker 1: which obviously was massively differential because a lot of managers
- 3:08Speaker 1: got rid of him over the last couple of weeks
- 3:10Speaker 1: as he'd not been performing very well. The double Arsenal
- 3:13Speaker 1: defense coming in trumps as well, so that's the first
- 3:16Speaker 1: time in a while that that's really worked in my favor.
- 3:19Speaker 1: And then Wood and Matteta leading the lineup top has been.
- 3:22Speaker 2: Wow, he smashed it.
- 3:23Speaker 1: Yeah, it's been a good week, so seventy six so far.
- 3:27Speaker 1: So yeah, it's a nice green arrow is taking me
- 3:29Speaker 1: up about one hundred and fifty k in places, so yeah,
- 3:32Speaker 1: highest rank of the season so far now sitting around
- 3:35Speaker 1: the three hundred k mark, So hoping that we can
- 3:37Speaker 1: get a good return in midweek, get me inside the
- 3:40Speaker 1: kind of two hundred and fifty k and then push
- 3:43Speaker 1: on to the second part of the season.
- 3:45Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 3:45Speaker 3: It left us in an interesting predicament that double gaming
- 3:49Speaker 3: or double double gaming dropping in because those that already
- 3:52Speaker 3: had triple Liverpool, it's like do you sell one to them,
- 3:54Speaker 3: buy Slot or do you just go for moys. And obviously,
- 3:57Speaker 3: although Emory's been disappointing for you this week, smashed it.
- 4:01Speaker 3: Last week he got twenty two, didn't he and Slot
- 4:04Speaker 3: got fifteen but obviously, yeah, this week Villa Drom of Ipswich,
- 4:07Speaker 3: which we'll talk about, that was underwhelming in terms of
- 4:10Speaker 3: that system manager. I think it just made sense to
- 4:13Speaker 3: go for the double game assistant manager, even though yeah,
- 4:16Speaker 3: it played out disappointingly. Yeah, twenty one points hers that
- 4:19Speaker 3: have got Maybe should we talk about that game first?
- 4:21Speaker 2: Like Chelsea losing three nil to Brighton.
- 4:25Speaker 1: It's weird one, isn't it, Because obviously we'd had a
- 4:28Speaker 1: preview of this game in the FA Cup last weekend
- 4:32Speaker 1: and in my head I was kind of watching that
- 4:34Speaker 1: game thinking, oh, this would be quite interesting in terms
- 4:36Speaker 1: of what we're thinking for game week twenty five, and
- 4:40Speaker 1: I only had Palmer in that game in the end,
- 4:42Speaker 1: and watching Palmer obviously, Chelsea have suffered recently with injuries.
- 4:47Speaker 1: They've lost Nico Jackson, Madawaki the same and that has
- 4:50Speaker 1: made a big difference. And I think, you know, say
- 4:52Speaker 1: what you like about Niko Jackson's big misses over the
- 4:54Speaker 1: last few weeks, but he makes a difference to the
- 4:56Speaker 1: way that Chelsea is and without him they just did
- 5:00Speaker 1: look as potent. And I think from a Palmer perspective,
- 5:02Speaker 1: he looks much more off it than he does when
- 5:05Speaker 1: Niko Jackson's there, that relationship with him, Kinku just isn't
- 5:08Speaker 1: quite the same and it changes his position on the pitch.
- 5:10Speaker 1: Now for me, Palmer is a really difficult one right
- 5:13Speaker 1: now because we're not seeing the regular returns. And about
- 5:16Speaker 1: three or four weeks ago when people were he was
- 5:19Speaker 1: one of the most transferred out, wasn't he? And I
- 5:21Speaker 1: was kind of looking at that going I don't really
- 5:22Speaker 1: get it, because in the last five game weeks prior
- 5:25Speaker 1: to that, he'd had three double digit halls and I
- 5:27Speaker 1: was like, Okay, well, I just can't see why it's
- 5:30Speaker 1: the right thing to be doing. And then as times
- 5:32Speaker 1: progressed and Chelsea had picked up these injuries, he's looked
- 5:35Speaker 1: less and less like an asset I want to spend
- 5:38Speaker 1: that level of budget on. However, going into game week
- 5:42Speaker 1: twenty six and then beyond looking at game week twenty nine,
- 5:46Speaker 1: they do have a fixture. So he's a really difficult
- 5:48Speaker 1: person to sell given you've got players that are blanking
- 5:51Speaker 1: and you have to manage your team from that perspective.
- 5:53Speaker 3: Yeah, I still feel the same way about it. I mean,
- 5:55Speaker 3: it shows what I know people were selling him, and
- 5:57Speaker 3: he did do badly. I thought it was an easy hold.
- 5:59Speaker 3: But he's got the Southampton let's not forget, he's got
- 6:02Speaker 3: Southampton home lesser home back to back coming up, so
- 6:04Speaker 3: there's no way I'm selling him. And after all he's
- 6:07Speaker 3: on one hundred and seventy five points, which is still
- 6:11Speaker 3: second most in the game.
- 6:13Speaker 2: Only Salah's got more. Yeah, yeah, it's it's.
- 6:16Speaker 1: A bit of a dip though, isn't it.
- 6:17Speaker 2: And I think that's the thing.
- 6:18Speaker 1: It's not getting too trugger happy with those transfers because
- 6:22Speaker 1: you could easily just go, like you say, I've had
- 6:25Speaker 1: enough from selling, But then when you look at the fixtures,
- 6:27Speaker 1: plus the fact that there's a game, all right, it's
- 6:29Speaker 1: a difficult game in Game Meet twenty nine against Arsenal. However,
- 6:32Speaker 1: it is a game nonetheless, and at a time when
- 6:34Speaker 1: your Liverpool assets and your Newcastle assets, and your palace
- 6:37Speaker 1: assets and your villa ones won't be featuring. It seems
- 6:41Speaker 1: counterintuitive to get rid of Cole Palmer given that he
- 6:46Speaker 1: does play that week.
- 6:48Speaker 3: Maybe in Game Meet twenty nine. Of course, that's a
- 6:50Speaker 3: blank game meet. So first of all, the priorities having
- 6:52Speaker 3: eleven players, But if you're a luxury position where you've
- 6:55Speaker 3: got the transfers to move some around, then maybe he
- 6:57Speaker 3: could be the one you sell when they're away at Arsenal. Yeah,
- 7:00Speaker 3: I just not want five or four expected goals for
- 7:02Speaker 3: Chelsea against Brighton three. No lots mantate with brace crazy,
- 7:07Speaker 3: but yeah, as I say, like I'm keeping hold of
- 7:09Speaker 3: Palmer someone, I think he's got to be a sellers
- 7:11Speaker 3: jal Pedro right after losing this spot seemingly, Yeah.
- 7:15Speaker 1: Absolutely, because I think if you do want to invest
- 7:17Speaker 1: in Brighton, there are better assets that you could go to.
- 7:20Speaker 1: And that front three, I mean, I don't know how
- 7:22Speaker 1: you feel about it, Oscar, but I could feel that
- 7:23Speaker 1: front three probably twice over with players that I want
- 7:26Speaker 1: to own right now. Like I love my front three.
- 7:29Speaker 1: I currently I've got Eatac, Matteta and Wood and that's
- 7:31Speaker 1: been working like a dream. But there are other players
- 7:34Speaker 1: that I keep sort of longingly looking at and thinking, well,
- 7:36Speaker 1: I don't know how I'm going to get you in
- 7:38Speaker 1: my team because there's just so many assets that I
- 7:41Speaker 1: would like. But Joe Pedro is definitely not He's definitely
- 7:45Speaker 1: not one of them. He does seem to have lost
- 7:46Speaker 1: his spot. We're seeing a revival from Matoma and genuinely
- 7:50Speaker 1: probably the well, not just the best goal I've seen
- 7:53Speaker 1: this season, but one of the best goals I've ever watched,
- 7:55Speaker 1: that goal that he's scored against Chelsea on Friday evening.
- 7:59Speaker 1: He's got thirty four points in his last five matches,
- 8:01Speaker 1: three goals and assists in five bonus points. Like, he's
- 8:05Speaker 1: very very slowly just coming back onto the FPL radar,
- 8:09Speaker 1: and I think, you know, he's got Southampton coming up
- 8:14Speaker 1: and a really really nice fixture there. I just think
- 8:17Speaker 1: that with Matoma, maybe it's the time that we should
- 8:21Speaker 1: start investing. And if you are, if you go early
- 8:24Speaker 1: on him, then you might just give yourself potentially a
- 8:28Speaker 1: huge upside over a managers that wait a little bit.
- 8:30Speaker 2: Yeah, I agree with that.
- 8:31Speaker 3: There is another player that I think starting to come
- 8:34Speaker 3: into our thinking and I don't think anyone expected this.
- 8:37Speaker 2: Marino.
- 8:38Speaker 1: Yeah, well you're the arsenal fan of Monster, so good.
- 8:42Speaker 2: You want to get straight to that lister game. Yeah.
- 8:45Speaker 3: I mean I looked at the lineup and I was like,
- 8:46Speaker 3: oh no, like Sterling trossadwan A. I was just thinking
- 8:50Speaker 3: that we've got players out for a long time. Have
- 8:52Speaker 3: it's out for the season. Hayes's long term Martinellie and
- 8:55Speaker 3: Saker out for a while, And I was watching the
- 8:57Speaker 3: game thinking it could be like anywhere four six weeks
- 9:00Speaker 3: of this, and it was.
- 9:02Speaker 2: It was a really bad watch.
- 9:04Speaker 3: Like the first half, you know, Stirling, with the greatest respect,
- 9:07Speaker 3: he just was so ineffective, kept losing the ball and
- 9:10Speaker 3: it just looked like something had to change soon. And yeah,
- 9:13Speaker 3: it was Marina that came on second half, trust I'd
- 9:17Speaker 3: move over to left wing. So yeah, I wonder how
- 9:20Speaker 3: we're going to line up in future games, whether he's
- 9:22Speaker 3: going to persist of Marino striking that interestionally. Marino did
- 9:25Speaker 3: say after the game he's not going to play there again,
- 9:27Speaker 3: but I just can't imagine a world where he doesn't
- 9:31Speaker 3: because we looks so much better. So yeah, Marina off
- 9:34Speaker 3: the bench with a brace?
- 9:37Speaker 2: Is he an option?
- 9:39Speaker 1: It made the world a difference, didn't it, Because actually,
- 9:41Speaker 1: up until the point when Moreno came on, I thought, Lester,
- 9:45Speaker 1: we're going to hold out for Anil Neil draw Like
- 9:47Speaker 1: I just I felt like, and I said to Lee
- 9:49Speaker 1: going into this game, like, I just wonder with the
- 9:52Speaker 1: attacking issues the Arsenior have over the last few weeks
- 9:57Speaker 1: or have now going into the next few weeks. Rather,
- 10:00Speaker 1: could we go back to seeing that kind of one
- 10:03Speaker 1: nil arsenal results where defensively super solid and therefore the
- 10:07Speaker 1: double up at the back is the right thing. But upfront,
- 10:12Speaker 1: like you say with Trosso Sterling and when Yeri, it
- 10:14Speaker 1: was kind of like, well, how many goals are are
- 10:16Speaker 1: we going to get out of them? Because you are
- 10:17Speaker 1: missing your biggest assets like you are in that moment
- 10:20Speaker 1: that's Spurs have been for a while where you're missing
- 10:22Speaker 1: really key players and scoring goals might be a challenge,
- 10:26Speaker 1: but Moreno comes off the bench makes the world of
- 10:29Speaker 1: difference to the way that attack formulates and works. Now
- 10:33Speaker 1: it'll be interesting to see what happens. And I don't
- 10:35Speaker 1: think you can go Moreno just yet. I think it's
- 10:37Speaker 1: one of those where you have to wait and if
- 10:39Speaker 1: you want to go for an arsenal mid then when
- 10:40Speaker 1: Yeri will be my choice right now, particularly as he's
- 10:43Speaker 1: so cheap. He's really easily switched from Morgan Rodgers, which
- 10:46Speaker 1: avoids the blank in twenty nine as well, so it
- 10:48Speaker 1: feels really nice. I do think we have to be
- 10:52Speaker 1: a little bit cautious because Arteta did say He also
- 10:55Speaker 1: hinted that Califuri could play up front. At some point,
- 10:59Speaker 1: there was kind of conversations about potentially Zinchenko going up top,
- 11:04Speaker 1: So I think we just have to see who he deploys,
- 11:07Speaker 1: and if we start to see somebody really kind of
- 11:11Speaker 1: taking that position and making it theirs, that's the moment
- 11:14Speaker 1: I'd invest. But I think if you do want to
- 11:16Speaker 1: go with Arsenal at the moment, the double Arsenal defense
- 11:18Speaker 1: feels like the right thing. If you want to go,
- 11:21Speaker 1: you know, from midfielder, then I think it's one Yery.
- 11:25Speaker 1: He's only owned by what one point three ish percent
- 11:27Speaker 1: of managers, so really really low own nice differential, four
- 11:31Speaker 1: goal involvements in his last three hundred and seventy one minutes,
- 11:34Speaker 1: which is really nice, So I'm interested. I think that's
- 11:38Speaker 1: probably how I'll triple up on Arsenal.
- 11:40Speaker 2: Yeah, I was about to say the same.
- 11:41Speaker 3: Yeah, obviously Arsenal they're blank in twenty nine either, so
- 11:44Speaker 3: they're a team that a lot of us are looking at.
- 11:46Speaker 3: But yeah, if I was looking at Arsenal midfielders, I
- 11:50Speaker 3: probably have Marino's my third or fourth favorite. Yeah, trisaden
- 11:53Speaker 3: Wanery's where I'd look he's only seventeen when aery like
- 11:56Speaker 3: he's the future of Arsenal. He played the ninety minutes
- 11:59Speaker 3: to four shots too on target, one big chance, created,
- 12:03Speaker 3: one assist, two aerial duels, one hundred percent success. Just
- 12:07Speaker 3: a brilliant game from him. It's one of those that
- 12:09Speaker 3: can create something out of nothing. And it's honestly just
- 12:12Speaker 3: way ahead of his years in terms of how good
- 12:13Speaker 3: he is for seventeen years old.
- 12:15Speaker 1: Yeah, and when you think about the price point in
- 12:17Speaker 1: FPN as well, super easy to get to. So it's
- 12:19Speaker 1: not even like with Sokka where you have to really
- 12:22Speaker 1: carefully plan for how am I moving budget around? With
- 12:25Speaker 1: win YERI he not only is he great like you've
- 12:28Speaker 1: just described, he's easy to get and probably enables you
- 12:31Speaker 1: to get someone else as well.
- 12:33Speaker 3: He frees up so much money. I mean, another cheap
- 12:36Speaker 3: player he's freed up a lot of money is Rogers,
- 12:38Speaker 3: but he didn't do so good.
- 12:40Speaker 2: Do you have Rogers?
- 12:41Speaker 1: I do have Rogers and he was top four x
- 12:44Speaker 1: g underachievers in Game week twenty five so far, which
- 12:47Speaker 1: has been a real frustration to me, And to be honest,
- 12:49Speaker 1: Rogers has been a bit of a frustration to me.
- 12:51Speaker 1: Over the last few weeks because every time I watch
- 12:54Speaker 1: Aston Villa, I think he looks great, He's you know,
- 12:58Speaker 1: the focal point. Obviously, the I think back particularly to
- 13:01Speaker 1: that Champions League match where he was just phenomenal, gets
- 13:05Speaker 1: the hat trick, comes back into the Premier League and
- 13:08Speaker 1: then I mean Aston Villa always struggled a little bit
- 13:11Speaker 1: after Champions League football, and they did that last week.
- 13:13Speaker 1: But this week I thought they just weren't quite on
- 13:16Speaker 1: it again and I was expecting big things from him.
- 13:19Speaker 1: Obviously I had Emory as my assistant manager in this
- 13:20Speaker 1: one as well, plus I had Morgan Rogers, so this
- 13:24Speaker 1: was my kind of banker a bit like with Moisey
- 13:26Speaker 1: last week. I was thinking, right, well, he's going to
- 13:28Speaker 1: get the Lester win. That's going to be great, and
- 13:30Speaker 1: then anything against Liverpool is a bonus. That's how I
- 13:32Speaker 1: was feeling about Emory this week. I was like, right,
- 13:34Speaker 1: he's going to get the Ipswich win and then anything
- 13:37Speaker 1: against Liverpool is a bonus. But that's both games this
- 13:40Speaker 1: season now where Aston Villa have dropped points against Ipswich
- 13:44Speaker 1: both home and away. And Rogers, yes, a bit unlucky,
- 13:49Speaker 1: but I think after this double becomes a bit of
- 13:52Speaker 1: an easy sell because no game in twenty nine. We've
- 13:56Speaker 1: just talked about when YERI he's a nice easy in,
- 13:59Speaker 1: but there are plenty of other assets that are coming
- 14:01Speaker 1: good in those midfielder slots, and I think he's a
- 14:04Speaker 1: difficult one to keep holding. Olie Watkins though, maybe is
- 14:08Speaker 1: the is the standout conversation in this one, because there
- 14:10Speaker 1: were a lot of brave FBR managers who made the
- 14:13Speaker 1: move to go from ESAC to Watkins, and for me,
- 14:16Speaker 1: I did think about it, but it would have been
- 14:18Speaker 1: a minus four and I could not bring myself to
- 14:21Speaker 1: spend a minus four transferring out ESAC to bring in Watkins.
- 14:25Speaker 1: But over five hundred and fifty thousand managers did bring
- 14:28Speaker 1: in Oli Watkins. He was the most the third most
- 14:30Speaker 1: transferred in player going into the week. He was a
- 14:33Speaker 1: doubt as well. He had a flag on him, It's true,
- 14:37Speaker 1: so that was kind of another thing that was making
- 14:40Speaker 1: me a little bit more cautious, I guess. But yeah,
- 14:42Speaker 1: maximum bonus points and he's starting off the double already
- 14:46Speaker 1: now with nine and of course still has a game
- 14:48Speaker 1: to go, so yeah, bit of a regret for you
- 14:50Speaker 1: as well.
- 14:50Speaker 3: Not having Watkins yeah, fair play to anyone did the
- 14:53Speaker 3: Eazac to Watkins move, especially I know that wasn't how
- 14:56Speaker 3: everyone bought him, but that was obviously an option to
- 14:59Speaker 3: do in one straight move because they're about the same price. Yeah,
- 15:03Speaker 3: I couldn't bring myself to do it, like because of
- 15:05Speaker 3: how good he's actual been this season and the slight
- 15:07Speaker 3: uncertainty of Watkins will he start, Like we'd heard he's
- 15:10Speaker 3: going to be in the squad, but we still don't
- 15:12Speaker 3: know one hundred percent if he was going to be
- 15:13Speaker 3: starting or not. So yeah, I couldn't bring myself to
- 15:16Speaker 3: do it. And in the end I just thought I'm
- 15:17Speaker 3: going to roll. But yeah, slight regret not doing that.
- 15:19Speaker 3: We'll have to see, of course, how Easach does in
- 15:22Speaker 3: the next few compared to Watkins. But yeah, looking great
- 15:25Speaker 3: if you brought him in. But yeah, Rogers, as you said,
- 15:28Speaker 3: he got that hat trick in the Champions League and
- 15:30Speaker 3: then in the FA Cup he gets a goal and
- 15:32Speaker 3: assist against Spurs. But as far as the Premier League,
- 15:36Speaker 3: I'm just looking at his recent output. I think he's
- 15:39Speaker 3: got three yellow cards in his last four games and
- 15:42Speaker 3: that's it.
- 15:43Speaker 2: That's all. That's all he's done so it's really frustrating.
- 15:46Speaker 1: It's really really frustrating, and I think, if I'm really honest,
- 15:50Speaker 1: I score, I think I probably would have thought about
- 15:52Speaker 1: selling him. I think the one year's him for Rogers
- 15:55Speaker 1: thing I probably would have done this week had Rogers
- 15:57Speaker 1: not had the double game week. But I think you know,
- 15:59Speaker 1: when you've got player that's got a double, a bit
- 16:01Speaker 1: like you said about Liverpool before, like, if you've got
- 16:04Speaker 1: somebody that's got a double, it's really difficult to sell
- 16:06Speaker 1: them unless they're categorically ruled out, like the gap post thing.
- 16:09Speaker 1: I could understand why that was really contentious for a
- 16:12Speaker 1: lot of managers because he sort of didn't rule him out.
- 16:15Speaker 1: He sort of did say that he wasn't fit. It
- 16:18Speaker 1: was a bit like I don't know what to do
- 16:20Speaker 1: with him. So for managers that had gap PO, I
- 16:22Speaker 1: think that was difficult. And I think with Rogers because
- 16:25Speaker 1: we knew he was fit, so he was going to
- 16:27Speaker 1: play both games as long as he didn't get injured
- 16:29Speaker 1: in the first one, which of course he doesn't, so
- 16:31Speaker 1: I'm expecting him to start against Liverpool in the second.
- 16:35Speaker 1: I can't take out a player who we know has
- 16:38Speaker 1: got massive potential for Hales because we've seen it in
- 16:41Speaker 1: the champions leg, like you say, the FA Cup, he
- 16:43Speaker 1: does really well from attacking perspective as well, But yeah,
- 16:47Speaker 1: I don't know. With an next year of zero point
- 16:49Speaker 1: eighty three, he was unlucky not to get something this time,
- 16:52Speaker 1: but unlucky he doesn't get UFPL points, does it?
- 16:54Speaker 3: Yeah? Frustrating two point five to two expected goals of
- 16:58Speaker 3: Villa as well, that was the most all weekend's games,
- 17:01Speaker 3: zero point thirty seven expected goals RITS, which was second fewests.
- 17:04Speaker 3: So again like those that went de Zassi or Martinez,
- 17:08Speaker 3: a bit unlucky, but yeah, let's see how they get
- 17:10Speaker 3: on in the second game against Liverpool. You mentioned Gapo
- 17:13Speaker 3: yet there, so maybe we could talk about the Liverpool game.
- 17:15Speaker 2: Yeah, it was like a doubt for the game. We
- 17:17Speaker 2: didn't know if he was going to play.
- 17:18Speaker 3: Gappo ended up missing that Wolves game and now apparently
- 17:21Speaker 3: he's a major doubt for the Villa game as well.
- 17:23Speaker 3: So that again, it's just like when you don't have
- 17:25Speaker 3: a complete information, it's difficult to make those decisions. Like
- 17:28Speaker 3: if we knew Gapo was out, you go to Watkins
- 17:30Speaker 3: or to someone else. But yeah, quite unlucky you have
- 17:34Speaker 3: Gakpo or are you on No, I'm on data for Liverpool.
- 17:37Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, Das, Salah and Trent. So for me this
- 17:41Speaker 1: game was actually perfect because obviously Trent gets subbed before
- 17:44Speaker 1: they lose the clean sheet. Lovely Salah scores and gets
- 17:48Speaker 1: me points, but not too many that it's causing me
- 17:51Speaker 1: to have a red arrow because obviously his effective ownership
- 17:54Speaker 1: was absolutely huge because he was on a lot of
- 17:55Speaker 1: triple captains this week, and Das was just in massive
- 18:00Speaker 1: differential for me because he's so lowly owned in the
- 18:03Speaker 1: game and particularly around my rank, hardly anybody's got him.
- 18:06Speaker 1: A lot of people over the last few weeks have
- 18:07Speaker 1: just lost faith in him. And to be honest, it
- 18:11Speaker 1: was the gag Po thing. I was never really going
- 18:14Speaker 1: to send him anyway. I kind of felt like I
- 18:15Speaker 1: was troubled up on Liverpool, so I was sticking with
- 18:17Speaker 1: them until after the double from next week onners from
- 18:21Speaker 1: twenty six, then I'll be looking to change up the
- 18:24Speaker 1: way that I'm investing in my team and move off
- 18:26Speaker 1: of Liverpool in preparation for twenty nine. But I was
- 18:30Speaker 1: kind of looking at it thinking, well, do you know,
- 18:32Speaker 1: if gag Po doesn't start and we go back to
- 18:35Speaker 1: a front three of Das, Jotter and Salah. Then I
- 18:39Speaker 1: think that makes Das fantastic again because we had that
- 18:43Speaker 1: at the beginning of the season and Das was absolutely phenomenal. Now,
- 18:46Speaker 1: the one thing that I would say is this was
- 18:48Speaker 1: his first attack in return in seven appearances. Obviously he
- 18:52Speaker 1: gets the goal and he gets this, so it's a
- 18:53Speaker 1: really nice haul and he got up the bonus point,
- 18:55Speaker 1: so lovely. But he did only have one shot. So
- 19:00Speaker 1: again it feels a bit like Chris Wood, doesn't it,
- 19:02Speaker 1: Like you get one shot, one shot goal, one shot goal,
- 19:05Speaker 1: And it was like that with Lewis DS So I
- 19:07Speaker 1: feel like, you know, he was a good asset, but
- 19:12Speaker 1: he was one of the most transferred out. Just looking
- 19:13Speaker 1: at the list of transferred out players last week, he
- 19:16Speaker 1: was two four, He was the sixth, eight, ten, twelve,
- 19:20Speaker 1: He was the twelfth most transferred out player heading into
- 19:22Speaker 1: a double game win.
- 19:24Speaker 2: For me, well, he blanked in the last double but
- 19:27Speaker 2: I know I just.
- 19:28Speaker 1: Couldn't bring myself to do it, not not with a
- 19:30Speaker 1: fixture against Wolfs and Villa. Like I just thought, if
- 19:33Speaker 1: Gappo's a doubt, then I think Lewis DS is going
- 19:37Speaker 1: to get better, so very very happy with him. The
- 19:40Speaker 1: gap pro thing, I think we'll just have to see,
- 19:42Speaker 1: won't we. Like if if Slot had come out in
- 19:45Speaker 1: his press conference and said, yeah he's a he's if
- 19:47Speaker 1: he'd just said before the press conference for Villa for Wolf, sorry,
- 19:51Speaker 1: oh he's a major doubt. I think a lot more
- 19:53Speaker 1: people would have sold him, because you would want to
- 19:55Speaker 1: target in on both fixtures. But because it was it's
- 19:58Speaker 1: only really now that we're start and to hear about
- 20:00Speaker 1: the extent of the doubt that he is that I
- 20:04Speaker 1: think people will be frustrated. But then a lot of
- 20:07Speaker 1: people are probably going to have Chris Wood coming off
- 20:09Speaker 1: their bench, so they might not object to him not
- 20:11Speaker 1: playing in the second game. We'll have to see.
- 20:13Speaker 2: Yeah, that's true.
- 20:14Speaker 3: There's the auto subs and there some people have their
- 20:16Speaker 3: first sub haven't played already and might have done disappointingly.
- 20:19Speaker 3: Some people will be praying that their auto sub comes on. Yeah,
- 20:23Speaker 3: I mean the ideas as well. He's on nine goals
- 20:25Speaker 3: so he's already his best scoring season. Yeah, you know,
- 20:28Speaker 3: and he's still got so many games to go. Yeah,
- 20:31Speaker 3: Liverpool as well, like they've got sixty points from twenty
- 20:33Speaker 3: five games under Slot. The only manager ever to get
- 20:36Speaker 3: more in their first twenty five games is Maurinho of
- 20:39Speaker 3: sixty four. So that's incredible how well Slot's done him.
- 20:43Speaker 3: It's also incredible, like how well I run out of
- 20:45Speaker 3: things to say about Salah my videos if I'm arnist,
- 20:47Speaker 3: But obviously he set the all time record of points.
- 20:50Speaker 3: He got three insur and three back in twenty seventeen
- 20:53Speaker 3: eighteen I think it was. He needs forty five points
- 20:57Speaker 3: from his remaining games to break that record, and that
- 21:00Speaker 3: would be the equivalent of him getting three point five
- 21:03Speaker 3: points per game, and what's left of this season, he's
- 21:05Speaker 3: averaging ten point four per game. Yeah, like we're witnessing
- 21:09Speaker 3: a truly special season right now from Salah. But yeah,
- 21:13Speaker 3: the problem is, like you said, he's in everyone's team.
- 21:15Speaker 3: Is effective ownerships really high because everyone's got them captains,
- 21:18Speaker 3: so as a little rank game basically as a consequence
- 21:22Speaker 3: of that, and it's kind of a it's like a
- 21:24Speaker 3: ten man game every week, isn't it right now?
- 21:26Speaker 1: Yeah, it feels like last season when we all just
- 21:27Speaker 1: captain Trland every week. This season it's like, okay, well
- 21:30Speaker 1: you're just going to captain captain Saler every week. He's
- 21:33Speaker 1: the first player to beach one hundred points at home
- 21:34Speaker 1: this Season's cut hundred and three, nine goals, five assists
- 21:38Speaker 1: and fifteen bonus points at anfield this campaign, which is madness.
- 21:42Speaker 1: He's also got one hundred and fifty six points in
- 21:43Speaker 1: away matches as well, by the way, so you know
- 21:45Speaker 1: he's doing incredible. If he carries on like he is now,
- 21:49Speaker 1: like you said, with a ten point four point average,
- 21:52Speaker 1: he's going to end the season on three hundred and ninety.
- 21:54Speaker 2: Four points, which is crazy.
- 21:57Speaker 1: He's just insane.
- 21:58Speaker 2: I hope you'll ever see that broken takes something truly special.
- 22:01Speaker 2: I know.
- 22:02Speaker 1: I think it'll be one of those where this season
- 22:04Speaker 1: for Salah will just go down in FPL records and
- 22:06Speaker 1: it'll be like that will be the pinnacle and we'll
- 22:09Speaker 1: be talking about this in like ten years. Can anybody
- 22:10Speaker 1: beat Salah's three hundred and ninety four points? And that's
- 22:14Speaker 1: just if he continues doing what he's averaging, if he
- 22:16Speaker 1: over extends, which look, let's be honest, he could, and
- 22:20Speaker 1: particularly if the title race does get a little bit
- 22:22Speaker 1: tighter and we do see the likes of Arsenal or
- 22:25Speaker 1: Man City or whoever, it might be tightening that gap
- 22:29Speaker 1: on Liverpool, and Liverpool have to then kind of go
- 22:32Speaker 1: a little bit harder. We could see this even further
- 22:35Speaker 1: and you know, maybe he'll be breaking the four hundred
- 22:38Speaker 1: point barrier, which would just be an absolutely remarkable, remarkable thing.
- 22:44Speaker 1: So yeah, I agree with you, though it does feel
- 22:46Speaker 1: like you're picking you know, ten ten other players. He
- 22:50Speaker 1: just is there every week and he just takes that slot,
- 22:52Speaker 1: and then it's can you make the other ten work
- 22:53Speaker 1: for you? I think for me, the big thing is
- 22:56Speaker 1: that when you get to twenty nine and he's got
- 22:58Speaker 1: the blank, unless you've only just bought Salah, stick him
- 23:01Speaker 1: on your bench because you know you're one hundred percent
- 23:04Speaker 1: going to want him straight back in again and you
- 23:05Speaker 1: don't want to lose any team value in him.
- 23:07Speaker 3: This is actually I was going to ask you about
- 23:09Speaker 3: Salar and Easax. Maybe we'll talk about Newcastle next as well,
- 23:12Speaker 3: because that's it's a big decision for Gamick twenty nine,
- 23:15Speaker 3: like do you sacrifice team value, you know, to potentially
- 23:19Speaker 3: gain some points, like you know you could sell Salar
- 23:21Speaker 3: and buy Harland for example, that's quite powerful in Gamick
- 23:24Speaker 3: twenty nine, or do you keep the team value you've
- 23:27Speaker 3: got tied up in those players. But yeah, Man City
- 23:30Speaker 3: four Newcastle nil. Mar Mooche for a hat trick in
- 23:33Speaker 3: thirty two minutes. He was the biggest HG over performer
- 23:37Speaker 3: you mentioned earlier. Actually Rodgers was the biggest HG underperformer.
- 23:40Speaker 3: Mar Mooch was the biggest xgover performer. He got that
- 23:42Speaker 3: hat trick, not pointing seven one expected goals in just
- 23:45Speaker 3: over half an hour. Yeah, crazy a result, really, it
- 23:48Speaker 3: just ran away a bit early on. Edison got an
- 23:51Speaker 3: assist as well. He set a record that's the outright
- 23:55Speaker 3: most assists of any keeper in Premier League history. Now
- 23:58Speaker 3: he's got six. Oddly, by the way, another odd stat here,
- 24:01Speaker 3: we've had five different keepers get assists this season. That's
- 24:05Speaker 3: the most since twenty ten, fifteen years ago. I do
- 24:08Speaker 3: think that's just a coincidence, or do you think there's
- 24:11Speaker 3: a slight tweak and how managers are setting up keepers
- 24:14Speaker 3: to play, you know, long balls in behind to try
- 24:16Speaker 3: your luck route one.
- 24:17Speaker 1: I think so. I think there's a slight tweak. I
- 24:19Speaker 1: think you know, most of the time, most most managers
- 24:22Speaker 1: like to play out from the back now and we
- 24:23Speaker 1: see that as a kind of mostly regular strategy that
- 24:26Speaker 1: managers deploy, but then just occasionally you see this kind
- 24:30Speaker 1: of switch it up and like when a player's got
- 24:33Speaker 1: themselves in a nice position. We saw it with for Brogan,
- 24:35Speaker 1: didn't we against Chelsea on Friday evening as well? Two
- 24:38Speaker 1: goalkeepers with assists this week and my oldest he had
- 24:41Speaker 1: ver Brougn as his goalie, so he was absolutely for them. Yeah,
- 24:46Speaker 1: absolutely hole from the Brogan and I was just like,
- 24:49Speaker 1: that's mad that you've got an assist and a clean
- 24:51Speaker 1: sheet and some bonus points like brilliant. But so I
- 24:54Speaker 1: do think that there is a slight adjustment there that
- 24:57Speaker 1: you know, yes, we want to play out from the
- 24:59Speaker 1: back and how we're going to play as our kind
- 25:01Speaker 1: of status quo. But just every now and then, if
- 25:03Speaker 1: you see a player that's made them wrong, go long
- 25:05Speaker 1: ball to him and see what happens. And yeah, we
- 25:08Speaker 1: are getting that regularly. We had it with Pickford last week, right.
- 25:11Speaker 1: So I think it's one of those things that if
- 25:13Speaker 1: you've got one of those goalkeepers that has that potential
- 25:15Speaker 1: in them in Edison, as you say, the most ever now,
- 25:18Speaker 1: so we do know that he has that in his locker.
- 25:21Speaker 1: It's just something I don't think you're going to invest
- 25:23Speaker 1: in a goalie just because they might be able to
- 25:25Speaker 1: do that. But it's so nice. It's so nice when
- 25:28Speaker 1: they do there, isn't it.
- 25:29Speaker 3: Yeah, it happened with Pickford, didn't it. Remember that game
- 25:31Speaker 3: twenty four as well? He got the one against straight away? Yeah,
- 25:34Speaker 3: right away, first minute, unvailable.
- 25:36Speaker 1: Absolutely mad for everyone that brought him in. So yeah,
- 25:40Speaker 1: and I think when you get something like that happened,
- 25:42Speaker 1: that's just such an unexpected bonus in FBI, isn't it.
- 25:45Speaker 1: Like that's the thing that makes me happiest when that
- 25:46Speaker 1: one of those things lands. But yeah, mamouche, I'm quite know.
- 25:52Speaker 1: I'm quite excited about mumush because but like you were
- 25:54Speaker 1: just saying about how you're going to manage blank game
- 25:56Speaker 1: week twenty nine, Like I for me, I've got so
- 25:58Speaker 1: much money invested in and in Esak to be fair,
- 26:02Speaker 1: that I'm not selling either of them because I know
- 26:04Speaker 1: that I'm going to want Salah immediately back because the
- 26:07Speaker 1: way that he's paying. I'm never going to go without
- 26:09Speaker 1: him this season. I just can't see it. And Esak
- 26:11Speaker 1: I might have been tempted to go without him, but
- 26:14Speaker 1: with the announcement of Double Game Week thirty two. You're
- 26:18Speaker 1: not going to go into Double Game Week thirty two
- 26:20Speaker 1: for Newcastle without Esak, I don't think. I think you
- 26:23Speaker 1: know you're gonna want him in there. So in my
- 26:25Speaker 1: head then I was like, well, it's going to make
- 26:27Speaker 1: it really hard for me to get to Harlem for
- 26:29Speaker 1: game week twenty nine, but I definitely want to be
- 26:32Speaker 1: invested in Man City for that game. And then upsteps
- 26:36Speaker 1: the other Egyptian in our league and goes, hang on
- 26:39Speaker 1: a minute, don't forget about me. I'm quite good as well. Yeah,
- 26:43Speaker 1: so that's his third start in a row now for
- 26:45Speaker 1: Man City. I really like what he does to that
- 26:49Speaker 1: Man City team. They look so much better, a bit
- 26:52Speaker 1: more balanced, a bit like when these Tabalvarees in that position.
- 26:56Speaker 1: I like his relationship with Harlan. I think that's working
- 26:59Speaker 1: quite nice. It's coming on. Well, we will have to
- 27:02Speaker 1: keep an eye on the Harland knee potential injury. Obviously
- 27:05Speaker 1: they've got Champions League football again in midweek, but he
- 27:08Speaker 1: did seem to hurt his knee, so we will have
- 27:10Speaker 1: to be mindful of that. But yeah, one hundred and
- 27:13Speaker 1: fifty for random stat for you here Oscar one hundred
- 27:16Speaker 1: and fifty four managers, triple captain's marmouch for his yeah,
- 27:21Speaker 1: for his hat trick and his bonus points in game
- 27:23Speaker 1: week twenty five. So congratulations to all one hundred and
- 27:27Speaker 1: fifty four of you. I don't think i'd have been
- 27:29Speaker 1: in that bold, particularly against Newcastle, because I'll be honest,
- 27:32Speaker 1: I didn't expect this result to go the way that
- 27:34Speaker 1: it did.
- 27:34Speaker 3: Blatant time travelers. That's a lot about people. Did you
- 27:38Speaker 3: see the guy that triple captain Dango actually and borne
- 27:40Speaker 3: with actually invited him to the club to go meet
- 27:44Speaker 3: Dango himself. That was a nice nod by Born. Yeah, yeah,
- 27:47Speaker 3: I love that.
- 27:48Speaker 1: I love the fact that Bournemouth are fully arrested in
- 27:50Speaker 1: FPR now like cool clubs. So I think we shoull
- 27:53Speaker 1: do that. Maybe man City can invite all one hundred
- 27:55Speaker 1: and fifty four of these guys.
- 27:56Speaker 2: He captained mar Moose, Yeah, Ma Mooose. She's a trusting one.
- 28:00Speaker 2: I'm going to see out the next few weeks. Ago.
- 28:03Speaker 3: As you say, he started the three in a row,
- 28:04Speaker 3: but the Bruin hasn't. So I've not actually seen the
- 28:07Speaker 3: Braun and Marmouche together yet. So I'd like to just
- 28:11Speaker 3: see if he keeps playing. I imagine he will based
- 28:14Speaker 3: on the impact he's had, but he never left of Pep.
- 28:16Speaker 1: I thought song going back to gavardiole Oscar because yeah,
- 28:20Speaker 1: three returns in four games now for him, He's got
- 28:23Speaker 1: a goal there and two clean sheets. He's also had
- 28:26Speaker 1: three big chances and that's more than any other defender
- 28:28Speaker 1: in those four matches. So I don't know. I feel
- 28:33Speaker 1: I almost didn't ask you that question because Man City
- 28:35Speaker 1: defensively have been all at Sea, but then this week
- 28:38Speaker 1: against a good Newcastle attack, they keep a clean sheet
- 28:42Speaker 1: and maybe gavardiole is back on the menu.
- 28:46Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm almost certainly going to buy him in twenty
- 28:48Speaker 3: nine because I'm not using my free hit. Then it
- 28:51Speaker 3: could be it could be seasoned defining that week because
- 28:54Speaker 3: as it stands, I am planning to sell Salah to
- 28:56Speaker 3: get Harlem.
- 28:58Speaker 2: How much would you lose? Think it's about point five million.
- 29:01Speaker 1: Wow.
- 29:02Speaker 3: I just look at the doubles coming up, like City
- 29:06Speaker 3: potentially doubling Gamick thirty three Liverpool I believe not expecting
- 29:10Speaker 3: to double again this season, so it's really going to
- 29:15Speaker 3: be a big decision whether to sell Salad like with
- 29:16Speaker 3: the season he's having. It seems a bit crazy to
- 29:19Speaker 3: say it out loud just for the sake of an
- 29:21Speaker 3: extra double game week. But I think if I'm going
- 29:24Speaker 3: to sell anyone, it would be Saladh because Newcastle they've
- 29:27Speaker 3: had that double Gami thirty two announced they could double
- 29:30Speaker 3: again in thirty three, like potentially back to back doubles.
- 29:33Speaker 3: So I just think if anyone, it's got to be
- 29:36Speaker 3: Salad that I'd sell, But maybe maybe I don't.
- 29:39Speaker 2: It's really tricky.
- 29:39Speaker 3: I mean, surely you're going to have Harland if he
- 29:41Speaker 3: doubles in thirty three, so then what do you do?
- 29:43Speaker 3: Do you just keep Salad till the last minute or
- 29:46Speaker 3: so go early because they've got brighton home game week
- 29:48Speaker 3: twenty nine, so I'm going on absolutely ramble and they've gotten.
- 29:53Speaker 2: Really hard.
- 29:54Speaker 1: It's really hard. This in an ideal world, or squad
- 29:57Speaker 1: sell Palmer. That's that's the ideal scenario here, is that
- 30:01Speaker 1: I sell Palmer and use the money to go to
- 30:05Speaker 1: Harlan up top again so that I can have Harlan
- 30:07Speaker 1: and Saler. That's the way I would like to go
- 30:10Speaker 1: with it. There is you could not pay me to
- 30:13Speaker 1: go without Sala I just would be too scared, And
- 30:16Speaker 1: so I get you. I think for twenty nine it
- 30:18Speaker 1: makes absolute sense to sell Salah and get Harlan. My
- 30:21Speaker 1: issue is is that I'm going to wild card in
- 30:23Speaker 1: game week thirty or thirty one there or thereabouts, so
- 30:28Speaker 1: investing back in sala is not that hard. I could
- 30:30Speaker 1: lose him for a week and then have him straight
- 30:32Speaker 1: back in again, so the fear wouldn't be you know,
- 30:35Speaker 1: it would only be there for a temporary fear of
- 30:39Speaker 1: not having him. But my issue is that, like you,
- 30:43Speaker 1: I think I stand to lose something like point. It's
- 30:46Speaker 1: a stupid amount of money, and I'm looking at my
- 30:49Speaker 1: team and I'm thinking, okay, well, can I realistically afford
- 30:52Speaker 1: to lose that much money in terms of team value?
- 30:55Speaker 1: Because I do still need to maintain some sort of
- 30:58Speaker 1: bench for the boost, so and at the moment, my
- 31:03Speaker 1: second goalkeeper is Fabianski, so I need to make sure
- 31:05Speaker 1: that I've got a second playing goalkeeper for a bench boost,
- 31:08Speaker 1: which I'm currently thinking I might play in game week
- 31:10Speaker 1: thirty three, because then it's quite close to the wild card.
- 31:13Speaker 1: I could get it done, and then I could strip
- 31:15Speaker 1: some money out of the defense, out of the bench
- 31:18Speaker 1: rather to go through to the back end of the season.
- 31:20Speaker 1: So that's kind of when my head's playing out with
- 31:22Speaker 1: my chip strategy right now. But this is why my
- 31:24Speaker 1: moosh is so interesting to me, because I'm looking at
- 31:27Speaker 1: Harlan and I'm thinking the only way to probably get
- 31:29Speaker 1: him is to sell Palmer. Maybe I'm happy to sell
- 31:32Speaker 1: Palmer either, like going into twenty nine, but then equally
- 31:37Speaker 1: that's not going to be a priority because he's got
- 31:39Speaker 1: a match and I've got to make sure that I
- 31:40Speaker 1: get a full starting eleven. No, alright, you could say,
- 31:43Speaker 1: all right, we'll find just take a hit, and that
- 31:45Speaker 1: is absolutely potential that I take a minus for, and
- 31:48Speaker 1: as part of that minus for, get rid of Palmer
- 31:51Speaker 1: and bring in Harlan. I think you need a you
- 31:54Speaker 1: do need a plan for sure, and my mooche if
- 31:57Speaker 1: and it is a big if because obviously we've seen
- 31:59Speaker 1: the hatchet this week, but that's it so far, so
- 32:01Speaker 1: it would need to I'd need to see more in
- 32:03Speaker 1: the coming matches. But if we see something there, maybe
- 32:08Speaker 1: my moose might be the way that we go a
- 32:10Speaker 1: bit like when we did Alvarez before. Now, all right,
- 32:13Speaker 1: we did Alvarez alongside Harlan not instead of Harlem. But
- 32:17Speaker 1: maybe for twenty nine it might be that I go
- 32:20Speaker 1: okay rather than going for Harlan and having to sell
- 32:24Speaker 1: Palma and taking big hits. Instead, I'll just get my
- 32:27Speaker 1: Moosh and hope that he he is okay to get
- 32:31Speaker 1: me through that game. Might be the strategy that I
- 32:35Speaker 1: deployed that would enable me to keep the team value
- 32:37Speaker 1: in Salah because Lesbie Frank from game week thirty you're
- 32:41Speaker 1: gonna want Sala straight back in again.
- 32:43Speaker 2: So well, wow, this is it.
- 32:45Speaker 3: It'll come out of gaming twenty nine with nice fixtures
- 32:47Speaker 3: and that's the problem for with the greatest respect to Spurs,
- 32:50Speaker 3: Like Palmer's got Spurs home and he's got Brainford away,
- 32:53Speaker 3: Ipswich home, so that's quite nice for Parma. But then
- 32:57Speaker 3: man City have got Lester home in GAMI thirty and
- 33:00Speaker 3: it's the Manchester Derby.
- 33:01Speaker 2: That's nice.
- 33:02Speaker 3: But yeah, like Salah's got Everton home, Merseyside Derby, Fullham
- 33:06Speaker 3: away West. They've all got great fixtures. So so lots
- 33:09Speaker 3: to think about nearer the time.
- 33:11Speaker 1: And we might get Sacker back in a conversation as
- 33:13Speaker 1: well at some point. Yeah, so you know, then you've
- 33:15Speaker 1: got more of our premium masters, and I do feel
- 33:18Speaker 1: like what happens in the coming weeks is going to
- 33:20Speaker 1: be very much the premium conversation. It's okay, how we
- 33:25Speaker 1: haven't had to make this decision for a while. We
- 33:27Speaker 1: made that swinging decision sort of around game week ten
- 33:29Speaker 1: to eleven, didn't we That was like, okay, can we
- 33:31Speaker 1: move from Harland to Salah and should we just do it?
- 33:34Speaker 1: And most managers did it quite early and it's worked
- 33:36Speaker 1: out well. Now we're at that point where you've got
- 33:39Speaker 1: to make a decision. Do you swing back the other
- 33:41Speaker 1: way and go for Harlan or do you stick with
- 33:44Speaker 1: Salah and try and find valley for both. But we
- 33:46Speaker 1: do have to keep an eye on that injury. Obviously,
- 33:48Speaker 1: the Champions League fixture and the extra press conference that
- 33:51Speaker 1: will get out of pet will give us an idea
- 33:52Speaker 1: as to whether that injury that he seemed to pick
- 33:55Speaker 1: up with his knee is actually serious or whether it
- 33:59Speaker 1: is just one of those things and he'll be fine
- 34:01Speaker 1: again for the reamateur game in midweek.
- 34:03Speaker 3: Yeah, let's see. You know the time it's flying by here.
- 34:05Speaker 3: Let's talk about some more teams. How about talking about
- 34:08Speaker 3: your team? Let's talk about Spurs win. Yeah, Man United
- 34:13Speaker 3: nil Spurs one. Obviously like Man United beyond bare bones
- 34:16Speaker 3: on their bench. It was just like Lindeloff and youngsters.
- 34:20Speaker 3: Over the last six game weeks, eleven point seven eight
- 34:22Speaker 3: expected goals conceded for man United and the Southampton wurst.
- 34:26Speaker 3: I think if you're in a light fan, I'm sure
- 34:28Speaker 3: they're collectively think and let's just right this season off
- 34:31Speaker 3: and see how the next one goes. Because now Amad's
- 34:32Speaker 3: out for the season as well.
- 34:34Speaker 1: Yeah, and that's going to be a massive problem for
- 34:36Speaker 1: a lot of a lot of people, I think. I
- 34:38Speaker 1: think I read a start that said something like of
- 34:40Speaker 1: the get of the appearances that Manchester United had on
- 34:44Speaker 1: the bench, all by one of them were for lindelof
- 34:46Speaker 1: so in the Premier League, which is mad right, So
- 34:50Speaker 1: and that goes to show you how important it is
- 34:52Speaker 1: to have a bench and that's something that Spurs. It
- 34:55Speaker 1: was interesting that it was us two playing each other
- 34:57Speaker 1: this week because that's where Spurs had been for such
- 34:59Speaker 1: a long time this season, relying on the kids off
- 35:02Speaker 1: the bench. Now, over the last few weeks, Postorgoglu has
- 35:05Speaker 1: brought the kids off the bench and given them game time.
- 35:08Speaker 1: What happened in this one is that we saw Spurs
- 35:10Speaker 1: utilize all five subs, protect the players that were coming
- 35:13Speaker 1: back from injury. The Madison, who I thought was having
- 35:16Speaker 1: a fantastic game by the way he was bought off.
- 35:19Speaker 1: He protected people in terms of their minutes. With the
- 35:23Speaker 1: exception of Vakaru we'll talk about him in a minute
- 35:25Speaker 1: because he was phenomenal, but you know, everyone else was protected.
- 35:30Speaker 1: The flip of that was at mans United, where that
- 35:33Speaker 1: he was just like, okay, well you're my eleven and
- 35:35Speaker 1: I'm going with you, and there wasn't a confidence in
- 35:37Speaker 1: the kids that were on the bench to come in.
- 35:40Speaker 1: So I think it's difficult. I think obviously if you've
- 35:44Speaker 1: got armed, which is where a lot of investment in
- 35:48Speaker 1: Mangs United was, then he's an easy sell. And I think,
- 35:52Speaker 1: you know, we've talked a lot about budget players on
- 35:55Speaker 1: this stream already. If you want to go for Wan Yeri,
- 35:58Speaker 1: you can. We haven't talked about Bournemouthie, but there's the
- 36:00Speaker 1: Clio Rts and the Altaras and Celenia if you prefer,
- 36:04Speaker 1: you know, you could go for one of those options.
- 36:06Speaker 1: There's plenty of cheap options right now that you can
- 36:09Speaker 1: go to instead. But I just don't think that Manchester
- 36:12Speaker 1: United is are worthy of FPL conversation right now. It's
- 36:15Speaker 1: a real struggle, which is such a weird thing to
- 36:17Speaker 1: say about Manchester United because normally, like it wasn't that
- 36:20Speaker 1: many seasons ago that I was like all aboard the
- 36:23Speaker 1: double up in midfield, Like it was like you have
- 36:25Speaker 1: to have Bruno and you have to have Rashford and
- 36:28Speaker 1: you know, for points of this season, I've had all
- 36:30Speaker 1: sorts of Manchester United players in my team, but right
- 36:33Speaker 1: now I just can't find anyone.
- 36:36Speaker 3: I think, yes, I agree, I'm stuck between a rock
- 36:40Speaker 3: and a hard place because I've got Bruno and he's
- 36:43Speaker 3: been so hit and miss this season, like really disappointed.
- 36:46Speaker 2: Recently.
- 36:47Speaker 3: Maynu was out for that game with Guarte Collier, so
- 36:50Speaker 3: he was playing center mid Obviously you want to see
- 36:52Speaker 3: him playing as a ten and he wasn't. But then
- 36:55Speaker 3: they've got Everton Away. I guess that's quite hard game
- 36:57Speaker 3: right now. But then they've got Ipswich home no home,
- 37:00Speaker 3: I'd mention for that. But then they've got Lester Away
- 37:02Speaker 3: in Gamick twenty nine. So they've got Ipswich and Lester
- 37:05Speaker 3: in the next spour so I'm just like, do I
- 37:07Speaker 3: sell him or do I keep them. I've got limited
- 37:09Speaker 3: transfers as well before Gami twenty nine, so I might
- 37:13Speaker 3: be stuck with him until you know, Gamick thirty thirty
- 37:16Speaker 3: one when I wild card. I think right now, I
- 37:20Speaker 3: hate to say do you keep them? I think you
- 37:22Speaker 3: have to keep them.
- 37:22Speaker 1: You probably have to Oscar, yeah, because like you say,
- 37:25Speaker 1: it's that nice game in twenty nine again against Leicester,
- 37:27Speaker 1: although you know that is rude, vanatory against Manchester United,
- 37:31Speaker 1: and you never really know with these things. And I
- 37:35Speaker 1: as the closer we get to the end of the season,
- 37:36Speaker 1: the teams that are obviously fighting for relegation survival are
- 37:41Speaker 1: going to be more and more difficult to play against.
- 37:43Speaker 1: They're going to and I guess for a Manchester United perspective,
- 37:47Speaker 1: it was difficult this week because they did they had
- 37:49Speaker 1: a lot of illness as well in the camp, which
- 37:51Speaker 1: causes them to lose other players. Maybe it's a bit
- 37:53Speaker 1: harsh to say that there's no options there at all,
- 37:55Speaker 1: but right now I think they're easy sales.
- 37:59Speaker 2: Bruno.
- 37:59Speaker 1: I do agree with you. It is more difficult and
- 38:02Speaker 1: it's very easy for me to sit here and say
- 38:03Speaker 1: he's an easy sell, but realistically a bit like we've
- 38:06Speaker 1: just said with Palmer, not that easy when you've got
- 38:09Speaker 1: other players that are blanking in twenty nine that you've
- 38:11Speaker 1: got to deal with first, unless, of course, you're free
- 38:13Speaker 1: hitting in twenty nine, then it's easy.
- 38:14Speaker 2: So exactly that.
- 38:15Speaker 3: Yeah, if you're going to free hit, then you've got
- 38:17Speaker 3: loads of options go wherever you want. I think one
- 38:19Speaker 3: player I would sell him for if I didn't have him,
- 38:21Speaker 3: wasn't Boomo because they've got less than next and then
- 38:24Speaker 3: Everton home they don't blank in twenty nine. I think
- 38:26Speaker 3: you can make the case still for going to a
- 38:27Speaker 3: born with mid but really it depends on how you're
- 38:29Speaker 3: looking for twenty nine. If you've got the transfers. Everyone's
- 38:32Speaker 3: team's different. Some people are sitting on four or five transfers,
- 38:35Speaker 3: some people have just got one and it's looking like
- 38:38Speaker 3: it's going to be type for Gemmi twenty nine. And
- 38:39Speaker 3: if that's you, then I feel like you have to
- 38:41Speaker 3: focus elsewhere. Yeah, you're going to be taking minus fours anyway,
- 38:44Speaker 3: just because you sold Bruno now, so yeah, reluctantly, I
- 38:47Speaker 3: think I might be stuck with him and then I'll
- 38:49Speaker 3: get rid later. Although again, they might double a thirty three,
- 38:52Speaker 3: so like maybe I'll end up I might be stuck
- 38:55Speaker 3: with Bruno forever.
- 38:56Speaker 1: Yeah, but you can always bring him back on world
- 38:59Speaker 1: kind of guess if you. If they do double, then
- 39:01Speaker 1: like I think from that on the other side, so
- 39:03Speaker 1: they are still in the FA Cups that they may
- 39:05Speaker 1: have some doubles around. We're obviously going to know that
- 39:07Speaker 1: ahead of game week twenty nine, so that will be
- 39:08Speaker 1: helpful for you in terms of making that decision from
- 39:11Speaker 1: a Spurs perspective. No likely double between now and the
- 39:14Speaker 1: end of the season realistically, because obviously both Spurs and
- 39:16Speaker 1: Liverpool are now of the FA Cup, so they play
- 39:19Speaker 1: that game in gaming thirty four. So Spurs maybe a
- 39:23Speaker 1: team that you do want to invest in for thirty
- 39:25Speaker 1: four just to help get you through if you're not
- 39:28Speaker 1: free hitting, or even if you are free hitting, they're
- 39:30Speaker 1: probably still going to be a team that you are
- 39:32Speaker 1: going to end up with somebody from depending upon how
- 39:34Speaker 1: it looks now at the moment. I still struggle with
- 39:37Speaker 1: how you invest in Spurs because all right, we keep
- 39:39Speaker 1: a clean sheet today or yesterday, but it's not that's
- 39:42Speaker 1: not standard for Spurs by any stretch of the imagination. Defensively,
- 39:46Speaker 1: it's been a struggle, but players are coming back and
- 39:48Speaker 1: having the goalkeeper back, he was phenomenal. It was his
- 39:52Speaker 1: first start obviously since game week twelve. Back to back,
- 39:56Speaker 1: back to back clean sheets for Spurs. Wow, miracle. But
- 40:00Speaker 1: he does make six saves, he earned two safe points
- 40:03Speaker 1: and you know, he did look really, really nice. I
- 40:06Speaker 1: think I'd struggle though, to recommend him invested in his
- 40:09Speaker 1: Spurs defense. The one I've got my eye on for
- 40:11Speaker 1: game week thirty four is tell Like I thought he looked.
- 40:15Speaker 2: Good in the last couple of matches.
- 40:17Speaker 1: He is lively and I think he wasn't playing in
- 40:20Speaker 1: his best position. He was top for shots across the
- 40:21Speaker 1: game week this week alongside him and as with seven
- 40:24Speaker 1: for each of them. He was lively, he was involved. Ideally,
- 40:28Speaker 1: he wants to play in that second striker position, I think,
- 40:31Speaker 1: alongside Selanky and want se Lanky's back. I think that'll
- 40:34Speaker 1: be a really nice partnership because Selanky's busy. He's busy,
- 40:37Speaker 1: and I think they'll cause some trouble. But right now,
- 40:40Speaker 1: it still feels too early to go there, even with
- 40:42Speaker 1: a game against Itswitch up next. I just I feel
- 40:45Speaker 1: like it's too soon to I feel like it's too
- 40:50Speaker 1: soon to really go heavy on investment in Spurs just
- 40:52Speaker 1: because we've had two back to back results in the league. Yeah, okay, great,
- 40:56Speaker 1: that's wonderful. I'm feeling positive, but I'm still not going
- 40:58Speaker 1: to go all in from an f perspective. But Tell
- 41:01Speaker 1: is definitely on my radar. He's so cheap as well,
- 41:04Speaker 1: so much. He's six, so he's cheaper than all of
- 41:07Speaker 1: the other Spurs mids, so you can easily get to him.
- 41:11Speaker 1: And I think if once the lanky is back and
- 41:13Speaker 1: they're playing alongside each other, which actually shouldn't be that
- 41:15Speaker 1: far away now, if we've got from three that's then
- 41:18Speaker 1: functioning with him as part of that. I really like
- 41:21Speaker 1: that as a potential option. And I like the way
- 41:23Speaker 1: that he was changing positions with Sunny during the course
- 41:26Speaker 1: of the gaming against United. So one to watch, but
- 41:29Speaker 1: definitely not one to invest in right now.
- 41:30Speaker 3: Yeah, we've got a couple of new signings to monitor.
- 41:32Speaker 3: Really my motion tell I wish we had an Arsenal
- 41:35Speaker 3: player that we just signed to monitor, but we didn't
- 41:37Speaker 3: sign anyone.
- 41:39Speaker 2: Yeah, like just on Ipswich. Right.
- 41:41Speaker 3: Next week it's Liverpool against Man City Man City. They're
- 41:44Speaker 3: playing home actually against Liverpool, so I'm looking to sell slot.
- 41:48Speaker 3: I don't know if you're thinking the same, but I'm
- 41:50Speaker 3: looking at table bonus opportunities and Nipswich are one of those.
- 41:53Speaker 3: They're playing home to Spurs. Yeah, but Spurs you've got
- 41:57Speaker 3: players coming back now, it's starting to look better. I'm
- 42:00Speaker 3: not totally convinced by it, but it is a home
- 42:03Speaker 3: fixture for Ipswich. Where else? I mean Wolves are aware
- 42:06Speaker 3: at Bournemouth maybe because Wolves are although they lost, like
- 42:10Speaker 3: they're starting to look a bit better. Crystal Palace are
- 42:12Speaker 3: away at Fulham. That might be where I go.
- 42:14Speaker 1: That's the one. I think, Yeah, I think that's the one.
- 42:17Speaker 1: It's really hard though, isn't it. Oscar like to target
- 42:20Speaker 1: table bonus next week as part of me is just
- 42:22Speaker 1: thinking do I just stay with Emery against Chelsea? And
- 42:25Speaker 1: I hope that they get the way.
- 42:26Speaker 2: I was going to ask you, are you just going
- 42:27Speaker 2: to stick it out? They've got Chelsea? Right?
- 42:29Speaker 1: Yeah, I think I might because when I look at it,
- 42:32Speaker 1: I think, okay, well, table bonus has been my thing
- 42:34Speaker 1: all along, like it's been like, right, I'm going to
- 42:36Speaker 1: go moys for table bonus. I'm going to go Emory
- 42:38Speaker 1: for table bonus, and I look at the fixtures like
- 42:42Speaker 1: look this week and to gain twenty five it was
- 42:44Speaker 1: so many managers that I could have targeted and gone for,
- 42:47Speaker 1: and like we talked about Hurtzer at the beginning and
- 42:49Speaker 1: I still regret that decision. But when I look at
- 42:51Speaker 1: the fixtures for this week coming, I could go Vanistory
- 42:56Speaker 1: against Brentford. That's an option, Like that's something that I'm
- 42:59Speaker 1: considering because Leicester are at home, Brentford don't travel so well,
- 43:04Speaker 1: maybe there's a maybe that's just that is the sort
- 43:07Speaker 1: of game that Leicester have to win if they want
- 43:08Speaker 1: to stay in the league, right, So maybe that one's
- 43:11Speaker 1: got potential. You don't get the table bonus for Everton
- 43:13Speaker 1: and Manchester United. You would get it with Potter against Arsenal,
- 43:16Speaker 1: but I just that feels like it's going to just
- 43:19Speaker 1: be a problem. I can't see west Ham getting anything
- 43:22Speaker 1: against Arsenal, So there's no point in playing for table
- 43:24Speaker 1: bonus if you don't get nothing, like you might as well.
- 43:26Speaker 3: Go from I'm not sure about that west Ham game,
- 43:30Speaker 3: you know, just because I'm convincing the Leicester game was
- 43:33Speaker 3: like we really struggled. It was such a dull watch.
- 43:36Speaker 3: I really hate to say, and there's no way I'm
- 43:38Speaker 3: buying Potter, but I don't know. I wouldn't be surprised,
- 43:42Speaker 3: like if west Ham pull off an upset, you know,
- 43:44Speaker 3: and the title race is over. But I really hope
- 43:46Speaker 3: it doesn't happen. I really do this.
- 43:49Speaker 1: I'd ruled out Potter on the basis that I just
- 43:51Speaker 1: can't see an upset there. I think you find a
- 43:53Speaker 1: way to win that game one nil.
- 43:54Speaker 3: It's just because of all the injuries. If it's Sterling
- 43:57Speaker 3: Truss had one air again, I don't know. I think
- 43:59Speaker 3: we're in massive trouble. If that's how we're lined up
- 44:01Speaker 3: for the next four to six weeks.
- 44:04Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 44:05Speaker 3: It's difficult to be optimistic, like when there was no
- 44:07Speaker 3: signings made in January, like we were one habits injury
- 44:11Speaker 3: away from being in serious trouble, and that's exactly what happened,
- 44:14Speaker 3: like straight afterwards Martinelli got injured, like two days after
- 44:18Speaker 3: the window closed. I still think Herzeler is an option,
- 44:21Speaker 3: you know, assistant manager. No, there's no table bonus, but
- 44:23Speaker 3: they've got Southampton who obviously just lost three one to Bournemouth.
- 44:28Speaker 2: Maybe we'll quickly talk about that game.
- 44:29Speaker 3: Because fifty eight point six to expected goals conceded for
- 44:33Speaker 3: Southampton this season, that's rock bottom and they're also worst
- 44:37Speaker 3: over the last six game weeks. So I think he's
- 44:40Speaker 3: a genuine option as well. You still go for Herzeler
- 44:42Speaker 3: and just back them to win comfortably, go for gold points,
- 44:46Speaker 3: maybe clean sheet points as well.
- 44:47Speaker 2: I think that's an option. Yeah.
- 44:49Speaker 3: I mean all that talk though, Bournemouth midfielders, which ones
- 44:51Speaker 3: the best? And they all did all right. Dango got
- 44:54Speaker 3: a goal, like Clever got an assist, and Menua got
- 44:57Speaker 3: an assist. Semenya was the one I had and of
- 44:59Speaker 3: course he got books so that was a bit painful.
- 45:01Speaker 1: And was so unlucky though Oscar because he should have
- 45:03Speaker 1: scored again. There was at that moment where I really
- 45:06Speaker 1: thought Semnia was going to get a goal and and.
- 45:09Speaker 3: I was like, oh for a few Southampton players didn't
- 45:11Speaker 3: he he did everything right and then push. I mean
- 45:14Speaker 3: that's kind of in a nutshell though, Like he's he's
- 45:16Speaker 3: so good for shot frequency, I think only Harlan's taken
- 45:19Speaker 3: more shots this season, but it's finishing obviously, just doesn't
- 45:22Speaker 3: begin to compare so not the goal so much.
- 45:25Speaker 1: I went into this one without without a born of
- 45:28Speaker 1: mid and I was terrified, absolutely terrified about it. But I
- 45:31Speaker 1: couldn't bring myself to sell Rogers or Lewis Dias because
- 45:34Speaker 1: they both had a double game week, so instead I
- 45:35Speaker 1: went for hoisting at the back, and then was so
- 45:38Speaker 1: frustrated when Southampton scored this like consolation. They basically didn't
- 45:42Speaker 1: have any any real attacking threat in this game and
- 45:45Speaker 1: then somehow managed to take out the Bourne of clean sheet,
- 45:47Speaker 1: which frustrated me so much. But yeah, I felt kind
- 45:51Speaker 1: of got away with it a little bit this week
- 45:53Speaker 1: because it was the points were spread across the midfielder,
- 45:56Speaker 1: so it wasn't like somebody went on a massive clive
- 45:59Speaker 1: that gets enough for attack. In return. He has got
- 46:03Speaker 1: sixty six points now in the last seven game weeks.
- 46:05Speaker 1: He's on one hundred and twenty eight for the season.
- 46:07Speaker 1: So he's still the one for me that I prefer
- 46:10Speaker 1: of the mids at Bournemouth and he's still a priority
- 46:14Speaker 1: for me to bring in. And this is why I
- 46:16Speaker 1: think there are so many other assets that change that
- 46:19Speaker 1: and in terms of my assistant manager, it's going to
- 46:22Speaker 1: cost me a transfer to move from Emory to one
- 46:26Speaker 1: of these other guys, and I'm not sure that the
- 46:27Speaker 1: table boness is going to stick in many of these matches,
- 46:30Speaker 1: and using the transfer to go Emory to Hurzler when
- 46:34Speaker 1: I think, like aston Villa, I think I've got a
- 46:36Speaker 1: good chance of beating Chelsea next Saturday evening. So maybe
- 46:41Speaker 1: I just stick with Emory and instead use my transfers
- 46:44Speaker 1: to go from Lewis Dias to a Bournemouth mid, or
- 46:47Speaker 1: from Rogers to a Bournemouth mid or from Rogers to
- 46:50Speaker 1: Wan YERI let all of those things feel far more sensible.
- 46:53Speaker 3: Yeah, then really like the Borne for men, you know
- 46:55Speaker 3: they've got Wolves home next as well. Then it's Brighton away,
- 46:58Speaker 3: he Spurs away, Brent home in Black Gemmick twenty nine,
- 47:01Speaker 3: Ipswich home in GAMEI thirty and they've all got their
- 47:04Speaker 3: appeals really like Dan goes the cheapest one and he's
- 47:07Speaker 3: playing striker. But then there's Cliver who's got the most
- 47:11Speaker 3: points and he's on penalties, and then there's Semenya who
- 47:13Speaker 3: actually gets the most minutes. Generally, that's the one thing
- 47:16Speaker 3: about Cliver. He came off early last match for Tavania,
- 47:20Speaker 3: so Semnia is the one who's kind of best for minutes,
- 47:23Speaker 3: but they've all got their like their benefits, so it's
- 47:25Speaker 3: difficult to separate them. I've had Semenya for ages, so
- 47:28Speaker 3: for me, it was just like, naturally, just to keep him.
- 47:31Speaker 3: I'm not copying you, by the way, but I'm going
- 47:32Speaker 3: to buy house.
- 47:33Speaker 1: And the next game week, no, he was I did
- 47:36Speaker 1: Haul to Hoist and that was my chansfer this week.
- 47:38Speaker 1: One of them was just obviously it's not Emory for Moys,
- 47:40Speaker 1: and then I did Salt Lewis Hall and then obviously
- 47:44Speaker 1: the double game he got announced and I thought, oh gosh,
- 47:45Speaker 1: I've've done the right thing. Then I was like, no, no,
- 47:47Speaker 1: it's fine because it's after my you know when a
- 47:49Speaker 1: double game week first gets announced and you go, oh
- 47:50Speaker 1: my god, I've just sold and then you're like, no,
- 47:52Speaker 1: it's fine, it's fine.
- 47:53Speaker 2: I'll have a World Cup before then.
- 47:54Speaker 1: I'll ring him. Take breath, calm down. But yeah, so
- 47:59Speaker 1: I did that, and I ideally I would have liked
- 48:01Speaker 1: Kirkse because of the attacking threat that he has, but
- 48:03Speaker 1: in order to have Emory as an upgrade on Moys,
- 48:06Speaker 1: in terms of the budget that you need for the
- 48:07Speaker 1: assistant managers. I needed that extra budget for that. So
- 48:10Speaker 1: I've gone with Hoysen and I like him like and
- 48:13Speaker 1: I feel like this was four points dropped. He really
- 48:16Speaker 1: should have kept a clean sheet in this game. You know,
- 48:19Speaker 1: defensively they were good. It's just one one mistake that
- 48:22Speaker 1: they had in this one. So I think he's a goodbye.
- 48:26Speaker 1: He's a really nice, cheap budget defender. And actually I
- 48:30Speaker 1: think he's probably one that will stick on my wild
- 48:32Speaker 1: card anyway, because between now and the end of the
- 48:34Speaker 1: season he's going to be handy for a bench boost.
- 48:37Speaker 1: And if I don't want to play him every week,
- 48:38Speaker 1: that's fine. He's so cheap. He's like my fourth defender now,
- 48:41Speaker 1: so it's easy to maintain him in my team. Was
- 48:44Speaker 1: with Kirkase, I think you have to have a little
- 48:46Speaker 1: bit more you probably want to play him every week.
- 48:49Speaker 1: It's a bit more difficult to bench him because of
- 48:50Speaker 1: his price.
- 48:51Speaker 3: Yeah, he's a bit more expensive. Obviously plays fullback, so
- 48:54Speaker 3: he's the one that's weapon and crosses all game, whereas yeah,
- 48:56Speaker 3: howson a bit less liking to get you something, I'll
- 48:59Speaker 3: have to be off set piece or a corner. Yeah,
- 49:02Speaker 3: So yeah, could be Housen that comes in for me.
- 49:03Speaker 3: But yeah, I'm not going to make that transfer Josh yet.
- 49:06Speaker 3: I'll have to be after Wednesday, of course, because gameing
- 49:08Speaker 3: twenty five's not wrapped up yet. So yeah, as we
- 49:11Speaker 3: keep saying, one of one of those teams who don't
- 49:13Speaker 3: blank in Gamme twenty nine. So as f your managers,
- 49:16Speaker 3: we need to start formulating a plan really for GAMMI
- 49:18Speaker 3: twenty nine and which players you want to be bringing in,
- 49:20Speaker 3: whether it's use a chip or not.
- 49:22Speaker 2: Lots to think about and what.
- 49:24Speaker 1: You're thinking about it. Don't forget to join. Kelly and
- 49:26Speaker 1: I will be joined this week by Ian on the
- 49:28Speaker 1: FPL Pod. We'll be talking about the best options for
- 49:30Speaker 1: assistant manager chipping game week twenty six and also what's
- 49:34Speaker 1: the double game week announcement for thirty two means for
- 49:37Speaker 1: us and our FBL plans.
- 49:39Speaker 3: And if you haven't already joined the FPO pod Mini League,
- 49:41Speaker 3: the code to join is Q seven y C zero.
- 49:45Speaker 3: That's Q seven y C zero.
- 49:48Speaker 2: It's good to talk. San really enjoyed this.
- 49:49Speaker 1: Yeah, it's been really good fun. Ask a lovely to
- 49:51Speaker 1: see you
