- 0:01Hey everyone. So curious, have you ever sat and thought about like,
- 0:06hey, I've created this life that I wanted,
- 0:09and now is this the life I want?
- 0:12I don't know. I've certainly asked myself that question,
- 0:16and I'm glad to be here today with this topic.
- 0:20I'm Kimberly Boyd, founder of Live Life Fully,
- 0:22and welcome to Candid Coach Conversations.
- 0:25Today I have with me Guadalupe,
- 0:27and we are going to be talking about this very
- 0:30topic about living a life that you want and that you wanted and then saying,
- 0:35Whoa, is the life I created the life that I really want at this point?
- 0:40So good morning and welcome Guadalupe.
- 0:44Good morning. Glad to be here with you,
- 0:46Gimberly.
- 0:47Yes, I love talking with you all the time.
- 0:49Anytime. so I know that you and I've talked about this topic before
- 0:54and through coaching and coaching meetings with Live Wife Fully really about
- 0:59creating a life and then asking yourself,
- 1:02okay, is the life I created the life I want to continue living and what do
- 1:07I want to create next? And so I'd love for your to hear your thoughts about
- 1:12it and to share with the audience.
- 1:14How that has been with you?
- 1:16What came up for me when thinking about this question,
- 1:20like what has been the life that you've built and that life that you want.
- 1:26For me, I think about the process of how it all happened.
- 1:30So when I was little, through chaos and everything,
- 1:34how things were, I did tell myself,
- 1:37I don't know what my future's gonna be like.
- 1:39It's going to be different, and that's all I know.
- 1:41And so I always loved school for that reason.
- 1:47And going through school, growing up through school,
- 1:50middle school, high school, like I was the kid that didn't really
- 1:55I enjoyed summer and I was always ready for summer to be over because then
- 1:59it was getting back to school.
- 2:01And
- 2:02It was the school piece. What did
- 2:03you love so much about the school piece?
- 2:07I loved the learning piece. Like for
- 2:09Okay.
- 2:10me, being able to learn more, it for me it was more of that's my key.
- 2:16Like that's my key to something different,
- 2:18something new.
- 2:20Okay. I love it. All right.
- 2:24And so as I was going through school,
- 2:27I always knew like, okay, I'm gonna go to college and I'm gonna do this.
- 2:32And so in high school, I would play sports.
- 2:37I played soccer, and then I also had a job.
- 2:40And so I would do those three and always kept myself busy.
- 2:45And that's where I thrived because it allowed me to escape from chaos.
- 2:52And so as
- 2:53I continued to go through, then I was in college.
- 2:58And first I was going for criminal justice to be a detective.
- 3:02And then I came into my first psychology class.
- 3:06And I was so intrigued,
- 3:09everything psychology. And I had also thought to myself,
- 3:12whoa, people get paid for this?
- 3:15Because I kinda thought I was like the family therapist.
- 3:19And so I looked more into psychology and made that shift.
- 3:23And as I was in college I was working as well.
- 3:27And there was a point where I had three jobs and I was doing fifteen
- 3:33to eighteen credit hour semesters.
- 3:35And so that was busyness. So I didn't have time for anything and it
- 3:41was how I thrived. It's what I knew best to stay busy.
- 3:44And so
- 3:46My the life I was building was to become a licensed professional counselor.
- 3:52Like that's the goal and everything was towards that goal.
- 3:57That was the target. These are the stepping stones that I have to do to get there.
- 4:02And so then I graduated in 2021
- 4:07and became LPCA. And from there I was like,
- 4:12okay, now I have less things to do,
- 4:16because I also had dropped one of the jobs I was doing.
- 4:22And then my mind was like, there's not a lot going on.
- 4:27We don't know how to function this way.
- 4:29Okay, she's always
- 4:29Yeah.
- 4:31been on the go. So as a little girl in the chaos,
- 4:33and then you go to school, you're playing soccer,
- 4:37you're working a job, like constant movement,
- 4:41in motion. Yeah,
- 4:43Yeah. Yeah.
- 4:45go to
- 4:45college, working three jobs, going to school,
- 4:47getting your degree, going to grad school,
- 4:49constant motion, constant motion,
- 4:52constant motion. And then you arrived.
- 4:55You you achieved the goal.
- 4:58You're therapist,
- 4:58Yeah.
- 4:59licensed professional counselor in Texas,
- 5:01and your brain is like, there's some free time and free space here.
- 5:04What do I do now? It's what happened.
- 5:06Yeah, I thought that was it. And
- 5:11And so then what happened?
- 5:13I love this. What happened next?
- 5:16Little did I know that this was the beginning of something bigger,
- 5:21because then came the self-discovery of okay,
- 5:25this doesn't feel how I thought it would feel when I finally got to this point.
- 5:31And I think within all of that chaos,
- 5:34I didn't have the time to ask myself,
- 5:37how do you want to feel?
- 5:39Mm.
- 5:40And because of that,
- 5:42that feeling wasn't there. So it was like a big disconnection.
- 5:47And that constant question was,
- 5:49how come I'm not feeling happy?
- 5:51It's so amazing to me that this awareness that you have
- 5:57now about I didn't identify how I wanted to feel when I achieved the very thing that
- 6:04I was working so hard to achieve.
- 6:06And so then when you got there,
- 6:07you had the achievement, like accomplished,
- 6:10task accomplished, goal met. And because you didn't know how you wanted
- 6:15to feel in advance, you didn't had no like,
- 6:19how am I feeling?
- 6:20Other than not great. That is so
- 6:23Yeah.
- 6:24amazing to me. So it's sounds super important to identify how you want
- 6:29to feel at the end of anything.
- 6:31Okay.
- 6:32Yeah, yeah.
- 6:35Okay. So then your question was,
- 6:37okay, how come I'm not feeling happy?
- 6:39Like I've met the goal, I've done the thing,
- 6:42I'm licensed, and I'm still not I'm not feeling happy.
- 6:47Mm-hmm.
- 6:49Then what?
- 6:50So then my brain decided to go with what it knows,
- 6:54what it's familiar with. And I was like,
- 6:56well, do you want to get another job?
- 7:00Yeah.
- 7:01What else can you do? Do you want to add to your schedule?
- 7:05What can you do for other people?
- 7:06Yeah.
- 7:09And so I had thought to myself,
- 7:12like, okay, when I got to this point,
- 7:14I wanted to have more time for myself,
- 7:17more time to do hobbies, more time to volunteer,
- 7:20more time to do that.
- 7:24And my nervous system was not comfortable with that because it almost
- 7:30saw my self-worth as my productivity
- 7:34to task.
- 7:34So amazing. And how much
- 7:37you're you're pointing out, like we revert to old patterns
- 7:41and what's comfortable quickly
- 7:43Mm-hmm.
- 7:44and easily. Yes.
- 7:46Yeah.
- 7:46Good point.
- 7:48And so it was then being introduced to life coaching when
- 7:55I was starting to get these questions of well how do you want to feel?
- 8:00What do you like what do you see as your potential?
- 8:04And then the interesting part of who who is your authentic self?
- 8:09And
- 8:10Mm.
- 8:10that part got me because I was like,
- 8:13well
- 8:14My goal was to become an LPC and I did everything to get there and
- 8:20I never thought about who am I.
- 8:22It was more of like, okay, this is professional me,
- 8:25this is personal me, and so it was not really building like my own identity.
- 8:32And so
- 8:34Okay.
- 8:35there became that discovery of like,
- 8:37how do you even answer that question?
- 8:39Right. Well, and that's how we're taught.
- 8:42I mean, we're asked as children,
- 8:44what do you want to be when you grow up?
- 8:46And so, a firefighter, a teacher,
- 8:49a doctor, whatever it is, a banker,
- 8:52a a zookeeper, whatever it is.
- 8:55~ we're we are not asked as children,
- 8:58who do you want to be? And so it does make
- 9:00Mm-hmm.
- 9:02sense that.
- 9:04As an adult, it would be hard to answer that question.
- 9:06Like, what do you mean?
- 9:09Mm-hmm.
- 9:09And I love that
- 9:09you talk about the LPC. I think that's such a great example,
- 9:12Guadalaj. It it was definitely an achievement.
- 9:15Not even going to minimize that.
- 9:17And it's it's a title.
- 9:20And even
- 9:21Mm-hmm.
- 9:22in that, I think there's this self-discovery piece about okay,
- 9:26I'm an LPC, and who do I want to be as an LPC?
- 9:31Like living into that.
- 9:32Mm-hmm.
- 9:34Okay.
- 9:34~
- 9:35Amazing. I love that you pointed that out.
- 9:38Thank you. Okay, so continue.
- 9:41So I then
- 9:42go into experiencing growth day.
- 9:45And well I'm gonna backtrack a little bit because I had started doing some coaching
- 9:50with Kimberly. And within those I in one session I had came and I was like,
- 9:56I'm learning so much about myself,
- 9:59about these pieces of me. It's almost like going back and
- 10:05Imagining what it would be like if I took moment to insert emotions
- 10:10to things versus feeling like the awkwardness of the emptiness.
- 10:15And so it was interesting and I had even said like wow,
- 10:20like if this were a book, it'd be like the discoveries of
- 10:25the like undiscovered parts of me.
- 10:28Because it was almost like I was learning myself,
- 10:33understanding myself.
- 10:34in a different way that I hadn't before.
- 10:37And I remember
- 10:38Well coming but
- 10:40Yeah. And I remember it was the first growth day that we attended in LA.
- 10:45And I had came out and we were going to lunch on one of the breaks,
- 10:50and I was feeling it, I was like,
- 10:52this self-discovery, this is that self-mastery.
- 10:57Like there's these parts of myself that I don't understand yet.
- 11:02And the more that I can learn about them is the more that I can guide myself.
- 11:07And so that's where I became obsessed with the word self-mastery.
- 11:11Because I was like, I want everybody
- 11:14To have self mastery for themselves so that they can feel this connection with
- 11:20themselves.
- 11:21Yes, and I love the whole self-mastery piece and that you want that
- 11:24for others in whatever way it is right for them.
- 11:28And keeping in mind we don't always even know what that is until we start
- 11:33on that road of self-discovery.
- 11:36And then it's like, these are the pieces of self-mastery that really
- 11:41Yeah.
- 11:41we've been longing for.
- 11:43Mm. Yeah. And I do think one thing that's interesting too is
- 11:48For me, self-discovery, I think before it used to be a little bit more scary
- 11:54to think about because it's like,
- 11:56whoa, okay, like what's gonna come out?
- 12:00And then I think tapping into life coaching and more of this,
- 12:04I described it more of like an expansion because I'm like,
- 12:09whoa, okay, what else can I learn about myself and what else can I add to my life?
- 12:16What else can I impact?
- 12:18How can I make it better? More experiences.
- 12:22Okay, I love that. And I love this expansion piece and what more can
- 12:26you learn about yourself? So you've had friends throughout your life,
- 12:30you've had a bazillion jobs, you've gone to school,
- 12:34and so I am so curious how learning more about yourself
- 12:40has impacted how you serve others.
- 12:43So I think learning more about myself,
- 12:46the biggest piece that impacted was the limiting beliefs.
- 12:51So identifying those limiting beliefs that I had.
- 12:54And there's this quote that will come up when the when a limiting belief is present,
- 13:00and that is I am powerless because of my beliefs and my beliefs
- 13:05are changeable because then that puts that back in my power.
- 13:10Mm.
- 13:10To then choose which belief do I want to go with.
- 13:16And being able to have that and experience that for myself,
- 13:22it gave me an empowerment to be able to connect with others in a different way.
- 13:28Because I had always been more of safety,
- 13:33so it was more of my relationships are at an arm's length away.
- 13:38And that was more of just like yeah,
- 13:42security, safety. And
- 13:43~
- 13:44when I was able to learn that for myself,
- 13:48I was also able to connect with the word confidence,
- 13:53how Brendan says, confidence, you have the ability to figure things out.
- 13:58And so it opened up me to be able to have new experiences with other people
- 14:05and let them in, share with them.
- 14:07I was scared very uncomfortable.
- 14:11And what I learned in this process was the more that I shared with people
- 14:17and sat through that discomfort,
- 14:19I was seeing those connections.
- 14:22And then those people were also thanking me for sharing.
- 14:27and sharing their own stories with me.
- 14:30And so I would start to get some messages,
- 14:33hey, I did this, or hey, I r remembered about our phone call and I was able
- 14:39to talk to this person about this.
- 14:41And so then I was starting to see the ripple effect of it.
- 14:45And I was like, whoa, like this is incredible.
- 14:49Like I did not think that it was going to be able to ripple in that way.
- 14:54Right.
- 14:55It is shocking, isn't it? I think
- 14:57Mm-hmm.
- 14:59it's such a beautiful thing, really and truly.
- 15:02yes, and you were talking about
- 15:05Getting to know yourself and then feeling more comfortable sharing.
- 15:08I don't I think for me along the journey
- 15:13of self-discovery and self-mastery,
- 15:16which I don't I don't know I don't know.
- 15:18Are we ever really com finished with self-mastery?
- 15:22I hope not, because I want to continue to learn and expand exactly what you said,
- 15:27No, no.
- 15:27the expansion piece.
- 15:29Also, I think for me is when I think about it.
- 15:32The more that I learned about myself and that I continue to learn about myself,
- 15:37it has become easier, which is so weird,
- 15:42but it's become easier to share and to talk with others and lean in.
- 15:48And I guess it's because I have a better understanding of who I am and what
- 15:53I stand for. Now I mean we've all got opinions and we all
- 15:57probably know what our values are and everything,
- 15:59but really taking a stand on these are the three or the five things that matter most
- 16:04to me. And holding true to that.
- 16:08That it doesn't matter. Even if I lean in and it's not how I had hoped
- 16:13or things don't go as planned or whatever,
- 16:15I still have my truth that I know,
- 16:19like I know my truth now more than ever in my life.
- 16:24And so I think that's one of the things that's made it easier and
- 16:27I'm so grateful for the opportunity to learn about myself in this whole personal
- 16:32development journey thing.
- 16:35Yeah, so for first
- 16:35I love it.
- 16:36then go ahead.
- 16:38I love that and I can relate to that as well.
- 16:42Because the more that you learn about yourself,
- 16:45I see it as a way also that you're giving yourself the opportunity
- 16:51to replace those negative experiences that come up when fear comes up.
- 16:59Yes. Yeah. And having more proof,
- 17:02like real proof that we can, whatever it is.
- 17:05Figure it out. We can think differently.
- 17:08We can change how we feel simply by changing a thought.
- 17:12Like what? Yes. So
- 17:14Yeah.
- 17:15beautiful. I want to go back for a minute,
- 17:15Yeah.
- 17:17talking about limiting beliefs.
- 17:18And I mean, yes, it makes sense.
- 17:21And I also think that.
- 17:25People don't always realize that they even have limiting beliefs.
- 17:29And so I'd love it if you'd share some examples,
- 17:32whether they're yours or people that you've worked with.
- 17:35What are some examples of limiting beliefs?
- 17:39So examples of limiting beliefs could be and a big one is I am not enough.
- 17:45Yeah.
- 17:45I am not ready. I am not a person that does that.
- 17:49We are not a person that does that.
- 17:53I don't have what it takes to do that.
- 17:56Any belief that is keeping you in a space where small and quiet
- 18:02is that safety. That's telling you you can't do this.
- 18:08So good. So good. And ~ I I'd absolutely agree.
- 18:13One that I hear a lot is I'm not enough.
- 18:16Even if they don't use those exact three words,
- 18:19that is the underlying message that I'm hearing.
- 18:22so how do you counter it? If when you're working with a person
- 18:26and you're hearing these negative beliefs or the limiting beliefs,
- 18:31maybe they're not even negative,
- 18:32and they're limiting.
- 18:34Mm-hmm.
- 18:35counter that with a person or how do you counter it for yourself?
- 18:40So one helpful way that I've helped clients counter it when they're saying
- 18:44I'm not enough or I'm not ready yet,
- 18:47one with a ready is do you ever feel ready?
- 18:51With that feeling. Yeah.
- 18:54We do a lot of things not feeling ready.
- 18:58Yes. And if you feel
- 19:00a hundred percent ready, you're playing small.
- 19:03Yeah.
- 19:06I mean, really, truly. Yeah.
- 19:08Yeah.
- 19:08Okay. So love that. Are you really ever ready?
- 19:11Yes. Wonderful.
- 19:14And one part with clients that I like to ask them about is times where they have
- 19:20accomplished something, times
- 19:21Yeah.
- 19:22where they have put something together,
- 19:24because then from there it's identifying the skills that they already
- 19:31have and how those skills can play a part in what they're looking forward to doing.
- 19:37So the more that they can visualize,
- 19:40~ yeah, this skill can work and this is how I would put it into play,
- 19:46they start to see more of that possibility and gain more of that confidence.
- 19:52I love it. So again, it's that proof,
- 19:54like really identifying
- 19:55Well.
- 19:56proof. And people have heard me say this all the time.
- 19:58We did not know how to walk until we fell down a lot.
- 20:04A lot, a lot.
- 20:04Mm-hmm.
- 20:06Yeah.
- 20:07If anybody ever meets somebody that they walked on their very first try,
- 20:11please
- 20:13Yeah.
- 20:13let me know their name. I want to talk to them.
- 20:15I want to interview them and see how they did it.
- 20:17Yeah.
- 20:18But I mean, like we don't.
- 20:19We didn't do things right. We didn't even add one plus one correctly
- 20:23the first time we ever tried. Come on.
- 20:25Yeah.
- 20:25So
- 20:26and yet we figured it out. We figured out how to walk or we figured out
- 20:31how to spell our name. We figured out
- 20:33Yeah, I think.
- 20:35so many things that we don't give credit for.
- 20:39And having
- 20:40Yeah.
- 20:40those pieces of proof, they're huge,
- 20:45huge, huge.
- 20:47Yeah. And I think it's interesting that you bring that up because
- 20:52in the process of coaching as well,
- 20:56you learn to let go of perfectionism.
- 21:00And before this, it's like perfectionism,
- 21:04like that is your safety, those are your guidelines,
- 21:08like and if you were to tell me like you're going to not like I never thought
- 21:14I would say I don't want to live a perfect life like that seems boring.
- 21:19So I wonder, because you're
- 21:21so right about letting go of perfectionism.
- 21:25And I do wonder if ~ like I'm now I'm like,
- 21:30does perfectionism fall under limiting belief?
- 21:33And yeah, I think so. I've not thought about it before.
- 21:37Like here in real time, I'm like,
- 21:39yes. Cause every part of my life where I try to be perfect,
- 21:44I play small.
- 21:47Yeah, keep it safe. Safe keeps things perfect.
- 21:51And you're right, boring
- 21:52Mm-hmm.
- 21:53and my favorite, gross.
- 21:55Yeah.
- 21:56Wow.
- 21:58Yeah. And it's interesting because like a life building that
- 22:03was building I didn't want the challenges.
- 22:06I didn't want anything that wasn't perfect.
- 22:08The life that I'm building and that I want is challenges.
- 22:14Because that's where that growth comes from.
- 22:16And I think that's one of the powerful mindset shifts that happen is what
- 22:21you gain from these challenges.
- 22:23If you want growth, get ready because it's
- 22:26Yeah.
- 22:27gonna come through challenges.
- 22:29You aren't going to stretch.
- 22:31Thank you.
- 22:31Yeah, so good. So good.
- 22:35Okay, another thing that popped up that I'm so curious about.
- 22:38So I know you've got self-mastery.
- 22:40you talked about, and of course you can say Kimberly,
- 22:44that is not a topic for today.
- 22:46~
- 22:46Mm-hmm.
- 22:47you talked about the chaos and growing up.
- 22:50I don't,
- 22:51Mm-hmm.
- 22:52I mean, I'm not gonna say our chaos was similar.
- 22:54I too had chaos growing up.
- 22:56And I'm curious if there was an inspiration for you.
- 23:00So like think back at elementary school,
- 23:02middle school, high school, whatever.
- 23:05Like an inspiration, or maybe it wasn't even an inspiration,
- 23:08maybe it was a person that you thought believed in you.
- 23:13Even when you didn't believe in yourself.
- 23:16Did you have someone like that?
- 23:18So I did have and right now that you were asking me that question,
- 23:24it made me think, so I had these movies that I would watch
- 23:30and they're like adventure movies.
- 23:33Some of ~ like at that time there was a Backyard against and there
- 23:38was also this movie, I think it's Nam's Island.
- 23:42And so I would get lost within those and I'd have my own imaginary adventures
- 23:48in the backyard. Like I traveled well when
- 23:52Okay.
- 23:52I was low. And
- 23:54my gosh,
- 23:55and you travel now.
- 23:57Yeah.
- 23:59Have you ever put that together before?
- 24:01Not until right now that we're talking about it.
- 24:05Beautiful. Okay, so you've got these shows,
- 24:09you'd watch it, you get lost, you had your imaginary you took many trips
- 24:13in the backyard.
- 24:15Yeah, and I think it was the feelings of that adventure of them going out,
- 24:20figuring things out, and in those there would be like there would
- 24:25be conflicts that would come out and they would ~ they would always end up
- 24:31in a good spot. And I do think getting lost within that and then creating
- 24:37my own, that was something that was pushing me forward.
- 24:42that is amazing.
- 24:44Ha ha ha.
- 24:45I love it. So now I want to look up Nim's Island and who wrote that?
- 24:49Like where did this come from?
- 24:50Yeah.
- 24:51Do
- 24:51they realize the impact? You're
- 24:54Yeah.
- 24:55a world traveler now too. What?
- 24:57Yeah.
- 24:57~ my gosh.
- 24:59That's amazing. Huh.
- 25:03And then I will say inspiration that did definitely shift limiting beliefs
- 25:09for me was my freshman English teacher,
- 25:12so Mrs. Thomas. And I was in her English class that year,
- 25:17and she tells me, Hey, I really think you could do Honors English.
- 25:22And I'm like, Me, Honors English?
- 25:24Yeah.
- 25:25No way. I I can't do that. Like
- 25:29Hmm, we don't do honors classes.
- 25:31Like I don't know anybody that has done the
- 25:33honor classes.
- 25:34my gosh. Listen to that. Like we,
- 25:36as if your
- 25:38whole, all your ancestors, we don't do honors.
- 25:42So I was kind of like, okay, this is crazy.
- 25:44And so she's talking to me through it and like trying to convince me.
- 25:49And then she goes, Well, if you do honors,
- 25:52I will have you your ~ senior year.
- 25:55And that really is the reason I I was like,
- 25:58Okay, I want you my senior year,
- 26:00so I'm gonna do it. And so I enrolled into honors.
- 26:04And I got good cla good grades and honors,
- 26:07so I was like, whoa. And it wouldn't have been something that I would have done
- 26:13without without her encouragement there.
- 26:17Yeah, I love that she gave that to you and that little ~
- 26:21the influential piece of if you do it,
- 26:24you'll have me your senior year.
- 26:26I love that. and it sounds like she's a person who believed in
- 26:29you and your abilities when you had never even considered it 'cause nobody
- 26:34had ever role modeled that for you.
- 26:36And when I think
- 26:36Mm-hmm.
- 26:37about role modeling for others and I think about you and I know you've
- 26:40got siblings and you have a bunch of nieces and nephews that definitely look
- 26:44up to you.
- 26:47And I think about the now I'm gonna think about this story even more
- 26:50and because I'm sure you're one that believes in them more than sometimes they
- 26:55Mm-hmm.
- 26:55believe in themselves.
- 26:57Yeah.
- 26:59So even with that and because you've been close to all your nieces and nephews,
- 27:03and now through this self mastery journey that you are on,
- 27:08has that changed those relationships at all?
- 27:11I think so because I think about their futures and I think about one things that
- 27:17I didn't know going through, like being the first one to go to
- 27:22a university and deal with the FASFA and all of that.
- 27:26And I
- 27:27Mm.
- 27:27even think about lessons that I've learned in life and adulthood and I'm like,
- 27:31Okay, I want to be that person for you.
- 27:35I want to be that person that you could come ask questions to.
- 27:39Like there is no dumb
- 27:40question
- 27:41Right.
- 27:42and so that you don't have to fall any kind of butts or anything like that,
- 27:48be more educated about things that they don't teach us.
- 27:53Mm-hmm. It's so good. So even with the chaos,
- 27:57it sounds like you had role models in your childhood that showed
- 28:00you like working hard is important.
- 28:03And that
- 28:03Mm-hmm.
- 28:04going to school, keeping yourself busy,
- 28:07escaping the chaos, having your own adventures and travel in the backyard.
- 28:13Stop it. ~ And
- 28:15Yeah.
- 28:16then you're a high school freshman English teacher who believed in you and
- 28:22You did honors and you did it and got the good grades.
- 28:26Of course you did. Now
- 28:28Yeah.
- 28:29releasing all per all perfectionism?
- 28:32No, that'd be boring too. But most
- 28:33Yeah.
- 28:35but most perfectionism.
- 28:36Yeah.
- 28:37So good. So good.
- 28:40Yeah.
- 28:41What I thought I wanted is not even close to the life that I strive for now.
- 28:46It's more emotionally connected.
- 28:51So beautiful. So what's a question we want our audience to be thinking about
- 28:57for themselves?
- 28:58How do you want your life to feel like within your
- 29:05relationships, your aspirations,
- 29:08your day-to-day life?
- 29:11What do you want that to feel like?
- 29:13And one thing I do always bring up when I ask anything about feel,
- 29:19go look at I always look up the color emotion wheel
- 29:24Mm.
- 29:26because a lot of the times you think about I want it to feel happy,
- 29:30I want it to feel joyful, and sometimes there's words on there.
- 29:36that make that feeling even stronger.
- 29:39That's such a good point. Okay,
- 29:41so the c you can just Google color emotion wheel or feelings wheel and it'll pop up.
- 29:46That is such a good point.
- 29:47Mm.
- 29:48Yes. That's the other thing. We're not taught a whole bunch of feeling words when
- 29:52we're little. So we're
- 29:53Yeah.
- 29:53s with happy, sad, and mad. ~
- 29:56Mm-hmm.
- 29:57yeah, so good. I love it. All right,
- 29:59so the question you want people to think about is asking in advance,
- 30:03how do I want to feel in these particular areas of my life?
- 30:08or when I accomplish the goal.
- 30:11So beautiful. Thank you,
- 30:15Guadalupe. I'm so glad you came on today.
- 30:17I appreciate you being here and sharing all your wisdom.
- 30:21Holy moly. I'm gonna go look up Mim's Island.
- 30:25I may have to be watching that this weekend.
- 30:28yes. my gosh. And y'all. Yup.
- 30:29Anyway, I actually did get
- 30:31a bearded dragon. Yeah.
- 30:34You did?
- 30:36So there's there's a bearded dragon in that movie and I actually did
- 30:41get a bearded dragon when I was little.
- 30:42Amazing. Amazing. And y'all heard it like I did.
- 30:46there's a book coming. I heard her.
- 30:48Mm-hmm.
