  I want to talk about the Pope, the Catholic Church, and the

  Urantia Book in this episode of the Urantia Radio Podcast.

  We'll get to that in a moment. I do want to say thank you for

  making me a part of your listening, and I hope that I can

  impart on you some inspirational words and ideas as I tried to do
• 0:19
  in every podcast where we attempt to explain or expand
• 0:24
  upon the truths contained in the Urantia Book.

  I also was very engaged, as many of you probably were, in
• 0:42
  watching all the ceremonies and the selection of the new Pope,
• 0:46
  and it's very exciting. I'll draw some early conclusions
• 0:49
  it it is exciting and noteworthy that the Pope comes from
• 0:53
  Chicago, which many know that the Urantia Book was birthed in
• 0:58
  the same city. In fact, the Urantia Book was
• 1:01
  published 28 days after the birth of Pope Leo.
• 1:06
  Pope Leo was born September, I think it was the 14th in 1955.
• 1:13
  The Urantia Book was published on October 12th, which is
• 1:18
  Columbus Day 1955, so there's some interesting comparisons
• 1:22
  there. I've had it told to me that Pope
• 1:25
  Francis was aware of the Urantia Book and may have actually read
• 1:29
  the book. And this comes from several
• 1:31
  different sources. So with the fact that Pope
• 1:34
  Francis knows this new Pope and actually hand selected him in
• 1:39
  many ways that led to his succeeding the Pope, it is, it
• 1:44
  is not without countenance that we can maybe think this Pope
• 1:48
  knows about the Urantia Book. Another observation as I was
• 1:52
  watching just before they announced the new Pope and the
• 1:55
  sun was setting and you were at Basilica Square or Saint Peter's
• 1:59
  Square, the Basilica, and the sun was setting.

  And it was a nice picture. And I saw these interesting rays
• 2:06
  of sunlight that we're peaking as the sun was setting in in the
• 2:11
  western sky. And I couldn't help but to
• 2:14
  wonder if there were celestial hosts that were standing nearby
• 2:19
  observing the entire ceremony. I wonder what thoughts they
• 2:24
  might have. And then a couple of days later,
• 2:27
  I was thinking about how the Catholic Church and doing some
• 2:31
  of my research on how the church is structured because I'm not a
• 2:34
  Catholic. I, I wasn't raised in
• 2:36
  Catholicism. And I got curious about how
• 2:41
  their hierarchy is set up and how far it goes back and just
• 2:45
  kind of fascinated by the whole structure.
• 2:47
  And this morning when I woke up, I, I, I had this yearning to
• 2:52
  read Paper 35 and paper 35 delves into the local universe
• 3:00
  and how Michael and the Divine Spirit has set up his family and
• 3:06
  together in cooperation with the Trinity, there are a
• 3:09
  hierarchical order of sons who each have different duties in
• 3:13
  different positions of structure throughout the local universe,
• 3:17
  of which Michael is what you might call the Pope.
• 3:21
  So I want to read to you something that I produced that
• 3:25
  sort of delves into the providential hand that we see in
• 3:29
  Catholicism. And the only reason I say the
• 3:32
  providential hand, it is because it is truly the only global
• 3:35
  religion that traces its roots back to Christ, Michael, Jesus
• 3:40
  Christ. And so for that reason alone, I
• 3:44
  would imagine that the celestial overseers would, would, would
• 3:47
  take special interest in the growth and evolution of the
• 3:51
  Catholic Church. So in my paper, which I have
• 3:56
  called it the Echoes of Divine Hierarchy, A Comparative
• 4:00
  Analysis of the Sons of God and the Catholic Church structure.
• 4:04
  So let me share with you some of my thoughts.
• 4:08
  The organization of divine personalities in the Arantia
• 4:11
  Book, particularly in Paper 35, outlines A detailed and
• 4:16
  purposeful hierarchy of celestial beings known as the
• 4:20
  Sons of God. These sons, Creator sons,
• 4:24
  magisterial sons, and Trinity teacher sons, function within a
• 4:29
  divine administration that closely parallels the
• 4:33
  hierarchical framework of the Catholic Church.
• 4:36
  Though vastly different in origin, celestial versus
• 4:40
  institutional, the resemblance and structure function or
• 4:44
  structural function and spirit intent is striking and suggest a
• 4:49
  universal pattern of divine governance echoed on Earth.
• 4:55
  So at the top of the celestial hierarchy in the Urantia book
• 4:58
  stands the Creator's Son, Michael, a coordinate of the
• 5:02
  Paradise Trinity, being the offspring of the first and
• 5:05
  second person of Deity, Father and the Son.
• 5:09
  Now Michael rules each local universe, and in the case of our
• 5:13
  universe, this Michael of Nebadon identified with the
• 5:17
  Incarnate Jesus of Nazareth. Now this figure is analogous to
• 5:21
  the Pope in Catholicism. Consider the earthly Vicar of
• 5:26
  Christ and the Supreme Head of the Church.
• 5:29
  Both serve as the ultimate spiritual authority within their
• 5:33
  respective domains, embodying a direct link to the divine
• 5:38
  Source. Michael to the Universal Father
• 5:42
  and the Pope to Christ. Next in the hierarchy are the
• 5:46
  magisterial sons or of Onals, who function as judicial and
• 5:52
  administrative envoys. They frequently Incarnate to
• 5:56
  bring judgment, guidance, and moral renewal to planetary
• 6:00
  civilizations. This role is mirrored in the
• 6:04
  Catholic Church with the Cardinals and the bishops, who
• 6:08
  act as guardians of doctrine and overseers of moral and
• 6:12
  theological discipline across dioceses and the wider church.
• 6:18
  So, just as the magisterial Son can Incarnate and work among
• 6:23
  mortals, bishops are consecrated and sent into various regions to
• 6:30
  administer spiritual and institutional governance.
• 6:34
  A further down the line, the Trinity Teacher Sons are
• 6:37
  deployed in in teams to spiritually uplift worlds
• 6:42
  emerging from isolation and rebellion.
• 6:45
  Their mission is educational, inspirational, and
• 6:50
  transformative, akin to the work of priests and missionaries
• 6:54
  within the Church who minister to the faithful, teach doctrine,
• 6:59
  and foster community renewal. Now these teacher sons labor to
• 7:05
  bring celestial truths into planetary consciousness, a task
• 7:10
  mirrored by clergy who shepherd their flocks toward spiritual
• 7:14
  understanding and salvation. In both structures, there's a
• 7:19
  tiered order that ensures oversight, continuity, and
• 7:25
  clarity of spiritual purpose. Each tier operates not
• 7:31
  independently but in coordination with higher levels,
• 7:35
  echoing the notion of Apostolic succession and hierarchical
• 7:40
  unity. President in Catholic
• 7:43
  ecclesiology. Even the auxiliary beings in the
• 7:48
  Urantia Framework, Melchizedex, Baronda, Dicks, Lananandex have
• 7:54
  counterparts in the ecclesiastical offices of
• 7:57
  deacons, archbishops, and Canon lawyers, serving administrative
• 8:03
  and intercessory roles that support the larger mission.
• 8:07
  Ultimately, this parallel suggests A deeper metaphysical
• 8:10
  insight that spiritual organization, whether divine or
• 8:15
  ecclesiastical, is designed to reflect a divine order.
• 8:21
  The Catholic Church and its historical evolution and
• 8:25
  hierarchical sophistication may unconsciously mirror the
• 8:29
  supernal administration of the universe as revealed in the
• 8:32
  Urantia Book. The residence between the two
• 8:35
  structures points not merely to coincidence but to a
• 8:39
  transcendent arch type, a blueprint of divine governance
• 8:44
  instilled in both celestial and terrestrial institutions.
• 8:50
  You know, the thought had occurred to me that at some
• 8:53
  future time, what if, and I'll leave you with this thought,
• 8:57
  what if the New Jerusalem, the Temple of God, the temple of the
• 9:02
  Father that we read about in Revelations and described in the
• 9:05
  Urantia book as well, in that era of light and life, wouldn't
• 9:09
  it be ironic if that new temple landed right in the middle of
• 9:14
  Saint Peter's Square at some future time?
• 9:18
  Now, is this a call for all of us to become Catholics?
• 9:21
  No, but it is an interesting distinction when you think about
• 9:25
  the hierarchy as described in Paper 35.
• 9:28
  And I and I would encourage you to read it if you haven't done
• 9:31
  so already, and then think about how Catholic the, the Catholic
• 9:35
  faith represents the divine hand of Providence.
• 9:42
