  I shovelled the snow. I took my daughter sledding so

  that I could watch the game. The game, Ohio State, Michigan,

  Let's break it down quick. This was an ass beating, folks.

  It just was. I just looked at the team stats.

  They're actually better or worse, I should say, than I

  thought for Michigan. It was like 419 yards to 163,

  something like that. Final score was 27, nine.

  I predicted 3110, so kind of close.

  Time of possession, I think was like 40 minutes to 20 minutes.

  Ohio State just methodically kicked Michigan's ass because

  they were the better team. But look, Ohio State was the

  better team last year. They were at home, they were
• 0:58
  three touchdown favorites and they didn't even win the game.

  Something has changed, folks. With Ryan Day.

  I'm telling you, there's just a different demeanor.

  There's a calm. Everything has changed since

  losing to Michigan last year. And look, this game didn't start

  out well for Ohio State at all. You couldn't have scripted a

  worse start for the Buckeyes. They fall behind.

  But I'm telling you there, there wasn't a panic.

  And you can say, oh, it's just because they're winning and all

  years against Michigan, you could feel the panic through the

  television, just with the way the sideline reacted, with the

  way they called plays, they weren't confident.

  And even when they fell behind 60, I'm telling you, it's just a

  different vibe now. Now, maybe part of that look,

  maybe part of that. And I, I tweeted this, some

  people don't don't agree with me, which is fine, but like it's

  a different vibe when Ohio State isn't playing for their season.

  It just, look, I love the College Football Playoff, but

  there are unintended consequences to the College

  Football Playoff. Ohio State was going to get in

  no matter what, win, lose or draw.

  Michigan was desperate. Ohio State wasn't desperate.

  I think they would have won anyway.

  But I do think the hype is not the same.

  You know, back in the day, losing this game usually ruined

  your season. And I was, I was fine with that.

  And it's just, it's just not the same.

  Look, look what happened last year.

  Ohio State loses that game. It should have been one of the

  worst losses in the history of the rivalry, but it wasn't

  because Ohio State gets to the College Football Playoff and

  they flip a switch. They win four straight games and

  they win the national championship and whatever the

  number is since So, so Ryan Day, since losing to Michigan last
• 3:06
  year is 16 and O beating I believe 7 ranked opponents.

  So he went almost four years there, beat some ranked

  opponents, don't get me wrong, Penn State in there and Indiana

  last year. But he went basically, I think

  it was 52 games without beating Michigan, without winning a
• 3:24
  College Football Playoff game. And like it or not, that's the

  standard at Ohio State. You have to either beat Michigan
• 3:29
  more than you lose to them or win a national championship.

  And you can do both, obviously, like Urban Meyer did, like Jim

  Tressel did, but you can't do neither.

  And that was the issue with Ryan Day for about four years.

  And people said, oh, the fans were hating on him.

  And there's always going to be loser fans on on social media

  that hate on coaches. And that's stupid.

  But there's a standard that was built at Ohio State for decades

  from Woody Hayes, even John Cooper.

  John Cooper lost to Michigan, but he won a lot.

  But I'm saying Trestle, Urban Meyer, there's a standard at

  Ohio State that you have to meet when you have top five rosters

  every year. And for a while, I'm not even

  trying. I'm not, I'm not trying to

  revisit this, but but people keep asking me for a while, Ryan

  Day wasn't meeting that standard.

  And now he absolutely is. And he's winning every frickin

  big game. And something's changed and it's

  great and everybody's happy about it.

  And you, you could tell, you could tell this game meant a

  lot. Even though Ohio State was going

  to get to the College Football Playoff no matter what, you

  could tell this, this meant a lot.

  He basically almost cried there at the end when when I think it

  And how about at the end there he said, we're going to win with

  humility. You got to love the fact, look,

  everybody gave Ohio State fans crap for for being pissed when

  Michigan planted the flag last year.

  And then you had some rent a cops out there that were pepper

  spraying people and people said, oh, it's so petty.

  Win the game. We'll look what happened.

  Look, this is this is the game. This is the rivalry.

  I got in so many arguments with people about this, yet almost

  every person that has grown up watching Ohio State and Michigan

  got it. They had no problem with

  Michigan planning the flag last year.

  They had no problem. This is Michigan fans, Ohio

  State fans. They had no problem with Ohio

  State fans getting pissed about the the the flag plant because

  they understand the rivalry. They almost always have fights

  or it's chippy. That's what the rivalries about,

  about the Buckeyes ripping down the banner, right?

  That Michigan touches the the support the M club, whatever it

  is going back years, David Boston versus Charles Woodson

  fighting there, you know, going up against each other before the

  game at midfield or in the tunnel, whatever it is like

  that's always been Ohio State. Michigan.

  I don't think the the pepper spray from the rent a cops was

  was necessary last year. But again, that's the emotions

  of the rivalry. You saw it last year from Ohio

  State and you saw similarly, Michigan was not going to let

  Ohio State plant the flag. They freaking the whole team SAT

  there guarding the M at the end of that game.

  But Ryan Day, you could tell getting that monkey off his

  back, even though he won a national championship, he he did

  need to beat Michigan, especially again this year when

  they're clearly they're clearly the better team.

  But again, we're just talking about utter domination.

  State fans in the stands there. So some Michigan fans, I'm sure

  they they make their kind of whole year's worth of profit on

  their season tickets to sell them to Buckeye fans.

  But that's not a good look either.

  I mean, was it 50% Ohio? I don't know.

  like there was a ton of Ohio State fans there.

  tickets. I feel like we always paid

  between 80 and $100 and the cheapest ticket I saw was like

  350 or $380.00. So we're talking 3 1/2, four

  times the price. Big part of that is Indiana's in

  the game is in Indy and Indiana fans.

  I've already, you know, started buying tickets and then you

  know, Ohio State fans travel fantastic as well.

  So should be interesting. I think I'm going to go to that

  game next week in Indy, Big 10 championship, Ohio State and
