Chapel Hill just rolled out UP Social — a bold new “sip and stroll” district where 21+ locals can grab drinks to-go, wander through plazas, shop, or catch a movie, all within designated zones. Unlike traditional social districts, this privately run spot lets you carry your cocktail (in special 16-oz cups) while exploring top local spots like bartaco and Silverspot Cinema — with clear signs guiding where you can bring your drink and where you must finish it first.
