- 0:00Speaker 1: The failed execution of death row inmate Krista Pike has
- 0:03Speaker 1: left many questions up in the air. CBS News has
- 0:06Speaker 1: now spoken with Pike from her hospital room in her
- 0:08Speaker 1: first interview since the incident.
- 0:10Speaker 2: What is your take on the Cornell 7? Wait a minute.
- 0:16Speaker 2: Am I alive? Do you want to speak up against
- 0:19Speaker 2: the Cornell 7?
- 0:20Speaker 1: Silence is complacency.
- 0:23Speaker 2: I'm really marginally familiar with the case. Again, they.
- 0:27Speaker 3: didn't check me with a bunch of poison, and I
- 0:30Speaker 3: did think I'd be dead right now. That being said,
- 0:34Speaker 3: obviously the conduct is deplorable. There was an affidavit that
- 0:40Speaker 3: she had signed two years earlier where some of the
- 0:44Speaker 3: events seemed different, although when drugs or alcohol are involved,
- 0:50Speaker 3: nothing exactly goes by the letter of the law, are
- 0:54Speaker 3: they going to kill me again?
- 0:55Speaker 1: Had the execution been successful, Pike would have been the
- 0:58Speaker 1: first woman executed in Tennessee in more than 200 years.
- 1:02Speaker 3: I remember the chaplain saying, may God have mercy on
- 1:06Speaker 3: her soul, and then everything went black, and.
- 1:11Speaker 2: I was all.
- 1:11Speaker 3: You know, I requested an all-female execution group. Well.
- 1:19Speaker 2: Egg on my face. I told him to shoot me
- 1:22Speaker 2: in the head. Now, you have him posted in support
- 1:24Speaker 2: of Jane Doe. Do you want to comment on that?
- 1:28Speaker 3: Well, I was being injected with poison in the death
- 1:33Speaker 3: chamber of the Nashville penitentiary. And I was dying. And
- 1:39Speaker 3: I had a spiritual advisor kind of leading me in
- 1:42Speaker 3: a song. And that was where my mind was at,
- 1:46Speaker 3: you know. But in hindsight, I do think it would
- 1:51Speaker 3: have probably been a good idea to at least make
- 1:54Speaker 3: a small post about this to try to let people
- 1:58Speaker 3: know that I was on the right side of history.
- 2:01Speaker 2: And for that, I am sorry and I do regret it.
- 2:05Speaker 3: When I am executed again, I promise to use my
- 2:09Speaker 3: platform to condemn the actions of the Cornell 7.
- 2:13Speaker 1: Despite her initial silence on the Cornell 7, Pike did
- 2:16Speaker 1: offer her thoughts on a number of other current events.
- 2:19Speaker 2: I like Mom Donnie. I'm excited about what he's doing.
- 2:24Speaker 3: I have certain reservations, but I'm cautiously optimistic for the youth.
- 2:30Speaker 2: I really am. I just don't love that Timothee Chalamet
- 2:32Speaker 2: is in everything.
- 2:33Speaker 1: As of now, Pike's execution has been halted for the
- 2:36Speaker 1: remainder of the year.
- 2:37Speaker 2: The Charlie Kirk thing never made any sense to me.
- 2:41Speaker 2: It seems like as soon as he turned on Israel.
- 2:47Speaker 3: Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the Tim Dillon show. A
- 2:51Speaker 3: lot going on this week. A lot we need to address.
- 2:58Speaker 3: And it's not easy because this is, this is, these
- 3:02Speaker 3: are the weeks that I walk in here and I go,
- 3:05Speaker 3: my job is tough.
- 3:08Speaker 2: It's tough.
- 3:10Speaker 3: And people don't understand that. I wish I was doing
- 3:14Speaker 3: construction or in some mine.
- 3:18Speaker 2: Like you lucky fucks. You're in a mine.
- 3:21Speaker 3: You know how nice it is with a couple of
- 3:24Speaker 3: my buddies in a mine?
- 3:27Speaker 2: How nice that would be?
- 3:28Speaker 3: But I'm here in front of millions of people going
- 3:31Speaker 3: on the record about the issues of the day. You
- 3:33Speaker 3: know how nice it would be to be a public
- 3:35Speaker 3: school teacher? Or it's a relatively unimportant job?
- 3:40Speaker 2: Like that?
- 3:41Speaker 3: You know how nice it would be to have a
- 3:43Speaker 3: job that nobody cared about?
- 3:45Speaker 2: Like a firefighter or a pediatrician? Oh, put the bandaid
- 3:50Speaker 2: on the knee. Enough.
- 3:53Speaker 3: I'm here going on record about the issues of the day.
- 3:57Speaker 3: I didn't go to Cornell. My best friend did. We
- 4:03Speaker 3: went to community college and we both said we were
- 4:05Speaker 3: going to succeed. And I did drugs and dropped out
- 4:08Speaker 3: and sold subprime mortgages. And he really tried hard. And
- 4:12Speaker 3: he went to Cornell. And I'm so much more successful
- 4:15Speaker 3: than him right now.
- 4:16Speaker 2: It's unbelievable. It's unbelievable. He said that to me recently.
- 4:22Speaker 2: It's unbelievable.
- 4:25Speaker 3: But he has an Ivy League education. What does it mean,
- 4:27Speaker 3: so what? Nothing if there's no heart.
- 4:31Speaker 2: Where's the heart? Where's the heart? Okay? I don't have
- 4:37Speaker 2: group sex.
- 4:38Speaker 3: It's tough enough to get one person on board. We're
- 4:41Speaker 3: not getting.
- 4:42Speaker 2: It doesn't take a village. Enough with this. College is done.
- 4:47Speaker 2: You're done now. You're done. I'm sick of it.
- 4:51Speaker 3: I'm telling you right now. And I'm dead serious. I've
- 4:55Speaker 3: had enough with it. I've had enough with it. With
- 4:58Speaker 3: the hazing. With whatever it is. The group activity. the
- 5:04Speaker 3: gangland fuckfest. You're done now. You're going to be electricians
- 5:09Speaker 3: and you're going to be plumbers.
- 5:10Speaker 2: You're done. You're not going to be what you think
- 5:14Speaker 2: you're going to be.
- 5:15Speaker 3: AI is coming and you better realize this life that
- 5:19Speaker 3: you think you're living, you're going to live in another way.
- 5:26Speaker 3: You'll die for Israel. You will die for Israel. These
- 5:31Speaker 3: colleges are getting closed the fuck down. And if this
- 5:35Speaker 3: is what you're going to do, text your buddies and
- 5:37Speaker 3: say we got pussy in the dorm for everybody, then
- 5:41Speaker 3: you're going to die for Israel.
- 5:43Speaker 2: And I'll support it. BB!
- 5:48Speaker 3: You will die in fucking southern Lebanon for Israel's expansionist
- 5:53Speaker 3: policies if this is how you're going to behave in
- 5:56Speaker 3: college when you have students. Me and your mother took
- 5:58Speaker 3: student loans out, you pig. We took coasts on your
- 6:03Speaker 3: student loans. But seriously, can anyone explain? I date younger
- 6:11Speaker 3: men sometimes. I'll go out with them. They graduate college
- 6:14Speaker 3: or in a few years after college and they're sitting there.
- 6:16Speaker 2: They don't know what's going on. What the hell?
- 6:18Speaker 4: They don't know.
- 6:21Speaker 2: What does this do for anyone anymore? This college? What
- 6:24Speaker 2: does this do for anybody? I'm genuinely asking. It is crazy.
- 6:30Speaker 3: It's either tent encampments or fuck fest, rape festival.
- 6:39Speaker 5: Whatever.
- 6:41Speaker 2: I'm telling you right now, I don't like.
- 6:43Speaker 3: This whole system that we've set up with college where people,
- 6:50Speaker 3: my scumbag family, and I say that with love.
- 6:55Speaker 2: I always do. All they said to me was, go
- 6:58Speaker 2: to college, make sure you go to college.
- 7:00Speaker 3: That's all they told anyone in my hopeless generation of nothings.
- 7:05Speaker 2: Myself included, by the way.
- 7:08Speaker 3: They told us, go to college, just go to college.
- 7:10Speaker 3: They didn't give us any guidance in life. Not about morals, ethics, dignity, hopes, dreams, health, wellness, fitness. Sex, love, anything.
- 7:23Speaker 3: No advice on any other topic. Money, real estate, career, nothing.
- 7:28Speaker 3: Just go to college. That's all our parents told us.
- 7:31Speaker 2: Hey, go to college. Go to college.
- 7:33Speaker 3: They'll figure it out. Just get a college degree. Get
- 7:36Speaker 3: a piece of paper that says you went to college.
- 7:38Speaker 3: And then they pointed some guy in the street and go,
- 7:40Speaker 3: or you're going to be like him. And it was
- 7:41Speaker 3: a construction guy, like a normal guy. Making money to
- 7:45Speaker 3: feed his family. He's probably doing well now. You probably
- 7:47Speaker 3: want that job now. You go, you want to be
- 7:50Speaker 3: like him? You want to be a garbage man? That's
- 7:52Speaker 3: a great job. They said that all the time. You're
- 7:54Speaker 3: going to be a garbage man. You better go to college.
- 7:56Speaker 3: Go to college.
- 7:58Speaker 2: It was a way to not parent your children. Go
- 8:00Speaker 2: to college. Get a degree. Go to college. Get a job.
- 8:04Speaker 2: Sit in a suit. I'm in a.
- 8:08Speaker 6: Suit.
- 8:09Speaker 3: Not any advice in any other area of life that
- 8:14Speaker 3: would have mattered. Somewhere along the way in history, we
- 8:20Speaker 3: started demeaning any other job that didn't make you a
- 8:25Speaker 3: fat corporate cog.
- 8:28Speaker 2: And a slob. That's what we wanted.
- 8:32Speaker 3: We wanted gluttonous slobs at their desks watching CP.
- 8:40Speaker 2: On their lunch break. Sexual deviant pigs.
- 8:45Speaker 3: I'm the Midwestern sales rep for the.
- 8:48Speaker 2: You're a pedophile. That's what you are. And you went
- 8:52Speaker 2: to college. It is what it is. You following my
- 8:57Speaker 2: logic here? Yes or yes?
- 8:58Speaker 3: I hope you are. What is this college shit? It's terrible.
- 9:02Speaker 3: It's terrible half the time. These liberal arts colleges... These people,
- 9:11Speaker 3: they're going insane. These kids are going insane. They're inventing
- 9:16Speaker 3: new ways to be crazy. And then these frat fucks.
- 9:21Speaker 2: I've had enough. If you're going to be gay, be gay.
- 9:25Speaker 2: But don't stand.
- 9:26Speaker 3: There in your underwear and smear each other with peanut
- 9:28Speaker 3: butter and then talk about heterosexual behavior. It's like if
- 9:34Speaker 3: you're all going to get hot and sweaty in a
- 9:36Speaker 3: basement naked, which I'm all for. I'm all for that.
- 9:41Speaker 3: But it's gay. Just be gay.
- 9:45Speaker 2: What is this? I really have.
- 9:48Speaker 3: Had enough, you know, I really am thinking about it,
- 9:50Speaker 3: this idea that colleges have allowed all these fake industries
- 9:54Speaker 3: to grow private equities, like the biggest, all it does
- 9:57Speaker 3: is buy things and destroy them. Everything that you like
- 10:00Speaker 3: that sucks now is private equity. I major in finance.
- 10:04Speaker 3: I major in finance. And they just all get into
- 10:07Speaker 3: the pipeline of these companies. College explodes these sectors of
- 10:14Speaker 3: the economy.
- 10:16Speaker 2: Because of college, by the way.
- 10:19Speaker 3: Because everybody needs to go get a white-collar job destroying
- 10:24Speaker 3: Earth instead of going and doing something else. You can
- 10:32Speaker 3: do things without college. You can be in sales. You
- 10:35Speaker 3: can have a trade.
- 10:37Speaker 2: You can be a chef.
- 10:38Speaker 3: There's so many things you can do. Real-world experience is
- 10:41Speaker 3: such a big thing. I got to be honest. The
- 10:45Speaker 3: scam of Sally Mae and student loans, people graduating six
- 10:49Speaker 3: figures in the hole in debt, moving to cities they
- 10:53Speaker 3: can't afford, charging everything, putting everything, putting themselves deeper and
- 11:00Speaker 3: deeper into debt, putting everything on a credit card, paying
- 11:04Speaker 3: their student loans. Student loans can't discharge them in bankruptcy.
- 11:08Speaker 3: They follow you to the ends of the earth. I
- 11:11Speaker 3: hope those four years were fun. This is not a
- 11:16Speaker 3: sustainable model for a society. It's not a sustainable model
- 11:20Speaker 3: for a society.
- 11:21Speaker 2: It's not. I went to community college and I dropped out.
- 11:27Speaker 2: I dropped out. I knew it was bullshit. Immediately.
- 11:31Speaker 3: I knew it made no sense. I was like, this
- 11:36Speaker 3: is crazy. Yes, times in my life I regretted like
- 11:39Speaker 3: not going to some school because it's deep. College is part,
- 11:43Speaker 3: you know, from the animal house days.
- 11:47Speaker 2: Till now.
- 11:48Speaker 3: People, it's a dream that you're going to have the
- 11:51Speaker 3: perfect college experience and that they're going to be the
- 11:54Speaker 3: best four years of your life. Nothing is going to
- 11:57Speaker 3: be the best four years of your life. I'm telling
- 11:59Speaker 3: you right now. I'm telling you right now. You better
- 12:03Speaker 3: cut that out. Sam Altman's going to make you into
- 12:06Speaker 3: a liquid. You're going to be a fucking liquid. Nothing's
- 12:13Speaker 3: going to be the best four years of your life.
- 12:14Speaker 3: You better reign it the fuck out.
- 12:15Speaker 2: Are you high?
- 12:17Speaker 3: The best four years of your life. You're going to
- 12:21Speaker 3: be a liquid or a gel or a gas. You
- 12:26Speaker 3: understand me? If you're under 25, you better fucking lock in.
- 12:32Speaker 3: The best four years.
- 12:34Speaker 2: What the fuck do you think this is? 2005?
- 12:38Speaker 3: Let me tell you right now. We don't have drafts anymore.
- 12:40Speaker 3: We just send people to die and everybody goes and
- 12:44Speaker 3: gets drunk. So there's no drafts anymore.
- 12:46Speaker 2: Okay? And we have a bunch of people wandering around
- 12:53Speaker 2: this country.
- 12:55Speaker 3: You know, aimless with tons of student debt because they
- 12:59Speaker 3: went to a school chasing the, quote, best four years
- 13:02Speaker 3: of their life. They graduated mired in debt. Mired in debt.
- 13:10Speaker 3: And they're going to die for Israel. And I'm now
- 13:14Speaker 3: supporting it.
- 13:16Speaker 5: Sorry.
- 13:19Speaker 3: You made your bed. You made your bed now. Whatever
- 13:24Speaker 3: Israel's doing over there, I don't know what they're doing.
- 13:27Speaker 3: From what I understand, they're giving the Palestinians water, I think,
- 13:32Speaker 3: and rebuilding their homes.
- 13:34Speaker 2: Is that not it? Anyway, you're going to be doing that.
- 13:38Speaker 2: You'll be doing.
- 13:39Speaker 3: That because college is a scam and we're done with
- 13:43Speaker 3: it now.
- 13:44Speaker 2: We're done with it.
- 13:44Speaker 3: We're done listening to you bitch and moan about how
- 13:47Speaker 3: expensive it is. You're to move to Phoenix and you're
- 13:49Speaker 3: to sell real estate now. You're to move to Phoenix.
- 13:54Speaker 3: You're to move to Phoenix.
- 13:56Speaker 2: There's no best years of your life anymore.
- 13:58Speaker 3: You will be in a hot car without air conditioning
- 14:03Speaker 3: going to open houses in Phoenix during the summer months
- 14:08Speaker 3: and that's your fucking life.
- 14:10Speaker 2: You will have skin cancer.
- 14:12Speaker 3: The best four years of your life. You're out of
- 14:15Speaker 3: your mind. Peter Thiel's going to put you in a cage.
- 14:20Speaker 3: A digital cage that you can't even see or feel.
- 14:24Speaker 3: Until you try to break out of it. In which
- 14:26Speaker 3: case you're thrown back.
- 14:29Speaker 2: That's what it is.
- 14:31Speaker 3: Those anthropic fucks are going to take you down.
- 14:35Speaker 2: What is college for anyway?
- 14:37Speaker 3: Every five minutes they keep saying we're taking all the jobs.
- 14:44Speaker 3: We're not going to be leaving any crumbs for the people.
- 14:52Speaker 3: The jobs are leaving. I think they're exaggerating that, obviously.
- 14:56Speaker 3: I think the timeline's a bit hurried. I think they've
- 14:59Speaker 3: raised a lot of money and lost a lot of money,
- 15:02Speaker 3: these tech guys, anthropics, and a lot of them. And
- 15:05Speaker 3: they're asking for regulation from the government in the form
- 15:08Speaker 3: of a big, massive bailout. They know the government cannot
- 15:12Speaker 3: regulate them because they know our octogenarian senators have no
- 15:15Speaker 3: idea what's going on. You think Mitch McConnell's going to
- 15:18Speaker 3: walk into Anthropic and start cracking the whip? Hey, show
- 15:22Speaker 3: me the latest model, boys.
- 15:24Speaker 2: Show me the latest.
- 15:26Speaker 6: Model, boys.
- 15:30Speaker 2: Our senators are dead. They're dead.
- 15:33Speaker 3: So nobody's afraid of them walking into fucking OpenAI. They
- 15:37Speaker 3: don't understand a cell phone. The people in Congress don't
- 15:41Speaker 3: understand a cell phone. So they're not going to be
- 15:43Speaker 3: regulating Anthropic. They don't know what it is.
- 15:48Speaker 2: Okay? They have no idea what it is. Okay?
- 15:54Speaker 3: They think it's restoration hardware or something. They think you
- 15:58Speaker 3: buy a couch there. Who's going to exactly regulate these companies?
- 16:04Speaker 2: The people in our government who know nothing?
- 16:06Speaker 5: No.
- 16:09Speaker 2: They're not afraid of that.
- 16:11Speaker 3: And the people in our government who do know something
- 16:13Speaker 3: were installed.
- 16:14Speaker 2: By the tech people. So they're not regulating anybody.
- 16:21Speaker 3: So all of these tech people go, we need money
- 16:23Speaker 3: because we've created a monster. And if you knew how
- 16:26Speaker 3: bad this monster was, I'm telling you right now.
- 16:29Speaker 2: And listen, the monster is creepy.
- 16:30Speaker 3: AI is creepy, but I don't think it's taking everything tomorrow,
- 16:33Speaker 3: but let's, let's grant them even a small percentage of
- 16:37Speaker 3: what they say is true.
- 16:38Speaker 2: Let's say half.
- 16:40Speaker 3: And that's maybe an inflated estimate at the moment, but whatever,
- 16:44Speaker 3: what the fuck are you doing at the university of Ohio?
- 16:48Speaker 2: Other than going to football games, what are you doing?
- 16:52Speaker 2: What job are you going to do? Get a trade. Truly.
- 16:55Speaker 2: This is a trade. What I'm doing is a trade.
- 16:58Speaker 2: I didn't study this. I didn't study this. This is
- 17:03Speaker 2: a trade. It's what it is.
- 17:07Speaker 3: I did not go to school for this. I know
- 17:10Speaker 3: that's shocking. This is not the result of a graduate degree.
- 17:15Speaker 3: It's a result of a trade. I spent time in
- 17:17Speaker 3: a trade. This is a beautiful thing. Trades are beautiful things, actually.
- 17:22Speaker 3: And I just think this idea of this corporate, this
- 17:28Speaker 3: funnel to an unfulfilling life through college, saddled with debt,
- 17:34Speaker 3: being weird and doing weird shit. And I don't know,
- 17:39Speaker 3: I'm not a lawyer here. Sunny Hassan got in trouble
- 17:42Speaker 3: on The View, a friend of the show, Sunny Hassan,
- 17:44Speaker 3: we love her. She got in trouble saying, listen, you're
- 17:47Speaker 3: not going to get a rape conviction. I don't think
- 17:49Speaker 3: you will either, but I'm not a lawyer. I don't
- 17:51Speaker 3: think you will.
- 17:52Speaker 2: She had a statement saying it was consensual, whatever.
- 17:55Speaker 3: I'm saying it's grotesque behavior to offer up free pussy
- 17:58Speaker 3: and say, you know, hey, we got free pussy in
- 18:03Speaker 3: a room and you can come in and whip it out.
- 18:05Speaker 3: And is the shop still open? And this is all
- 18:07Speaker 3: grotesque behavior. And if this is what people are doing,
- 18:10Speaker 3: if this is what they're doing in college, they can
- 18:12Speaker 3: go die for Israel.
- 18:17Speaker 2: It's what it is.
- 18:18Speaker 3: And can someone give me, can Robert Kraft give me
- 18:20Speaker 3: money now?
- 18:24Speaker 2: I mean, enough.
- 18:25Speaker 3: Clip this and send it to Bob Craft with a
- 18:29Speaker 3: question mark and my face with a dollar in my mouth.
- 18:33Speaker 2: Photoshop a dollar into my mouth and go like this.
- 18:38Speaker 4: There's the money.
- 18:41Speaker 3: If you're going to haze each other to death and
- 18:44Speaker 3: fucking just have orgies. And then I got to get
- 18:48Speaker 3: annoyed by all the it's so negative on social media.
- 18:53Speaker 2: It is negative. It is negative.
- 18:58Speaker 3: You're trying to eat a grouper sandwich like a person
- 19:02Speaker 3: in Newport Beach. And everyone on the Internet is talking
- 19:06Speaker 3: about rape. Coleslaw on the side.
- 19:15Speaker 2: Add jack cheese. Melt in. And now let me go
- 19:18Speaker 2: on my machine and scroll. Everybody's talking about rape. I
- 19:25Speaker 2: don't like it. I don't like it. It's not fun
- 19:27Speaker 2: for me. What about home renovation? Something fun. Remember that?
- 19:32Speaker 3: Remember HGTV? How fun that was? You'd fix a bathroom.
- 19:36Speaker 3: I know no one can own anything now, so that's
- 19:38Speaker 3: less popular. But that was nice.
- 19:40Speaker 2: Remember House Hunters Abroad? What can you get in Peru
- 19:44Speaker 2: or something? That was nice. Let's go back to that.
- 19:47Speaker 2: We need to go back to early aughts pleasantness.
- 19:50Speaker 3: The society needs to be pleasant society it's not anymore
- 19:53Speaker 3: it's a vulgar angry vicious society it we need to
- 20:00Speaker 3: go back to pleasantries we need to go back to
- 20:03Speaker 3: Sunday morning ooh fresh bed bread at the bakery.
- 20:05Speaker 2: And a little bit of coffee I don't know how
- 20:09Speaker 2: we're going to do that.
- 20:10Speaker 3: I don't exactly have the roadmap to that. I don't
- 20:13Speaker 3: have the time machine to get there. And I don't
- 20:15Speaker 3: know what it's going to happen. Tim Dillon's brought to
- 20:17Speaker 3: you by Mod. Mod prescribes a once or twice daily
- 20:20Speaker 3: modafinil drink that can keep you energized, focused. You want
- 20:25Speaker 3: to be energized and focused and alert throughout the day.
- 20:27Speaker 3: Here's the mechanism. Energy drinks with caffeine temporarily block adenosine, adenosine,
- 20:34Speaker 3: the chemical that It makes you tired.
- 20:36Speaker 2: It builds up.
- 20:37Speaker 3: And when the caffeine wears off, it all crashes you
- 20:39Speaker 3: down at once. Modafinil works differently. It engages multiple pathways
- 20:42Speaker 3: in your brain. Dopamine, neuroephedrine, histamine, orexin. To achieve steady
- 20:52Speaker 3: energy and alertness for 10 to 12 hours was invented
- 20:54Speaker 3: in the 1970s. And since then, it's been used by
- 20:56Speaker 3: the highest performers on and off the planet.
- 20:58Speaker 2: Whoa.
- 20:59Speaker 7: Whoa.
- 20:59Speaker 2: That means aliens use it.
- 21:03Speaker 3: Soldiers, pilots, and astronauts aboard the space station use modafinil
- 21:07Speaker 3: on high-stakes situations where full concentration and alertness are paramount.
- 21:11Speaker 3: It's now available at mod.com to qualifying patients.
- 21:15Speaker 2: Visit mod.com, folks. Do it now. Do it right now.

- 21:30Speaker 3: the pod. Ultra pouches to me are one of the
- 21:33Speaker 3: greatest things. And let me tell you why. Because here's
- 21:35Speaker 3: the deal. Do you need a nicotine pouch every 15
- 21:38Speaker 3: minutes just to feel normal? How many pouches do you
- 21:40Speaker 3: need per day to stop yourself from crashing? or from
- 21:43Speaker 3: feeling nicotine withdrawal. These are instant energy in a pouch.
- 21:46Speaker 3: I'm seeing them everywhere. They're blowing up. I've been using
- 21:49Speaker 3: Ultra forever. I love them so much. But these new
- 21:52Speaker 3: energy pouches gives me even more intense energy boost when
- 21:54Speaker 3: I need that extra kick in the.
- 21:55Speaker 2: Morning, during work, or before working out.
- 21:57Speaker 3: They're 100% nicotine-free, and they give you energy in a
- 22:00Speaker 3: way that's completely different from nicotine coffee or energy drinks.
- 22:03Speaker 6: How?
- 22:03Speaker 3: Caffeine, L-theanine, vitamin B3, vitamin B6, and B12. So unlike
- 22:09Speaker 3: nicotine that might only help for 10 to 15 minutes,
- 22:11Speaker 3: Ultra Energy Patches deliver instant energy that lasts for 30
- 22:15Speaker 3: to 60 minutes. When I want coffee at work, I
- 22:17Speaker 3: just pop one of these instead and feel so much better.
- 22:20Speaker 2: Ultra is the ultimate guilt-free pouch.
- 22:22Speaker 3: Delivering instant energy, mental clarity, and boosted mood without nicotine, sugar,
- 22:25Speaker 3: or calories. New customers can use code Tim Dillon to

- 22:34Speaker 3: you heard about them. Please support our show and tell
- 22:36Speaker 3: them our show sent you. And if these five AI
- 22:39Speaker 3: fucks keep coming on TV telling everyone we're going to die.
- 22:41Speaker 2: Here's what scares me about them.
- 22:43Speaker 3: Zuck, Dario, Wario, Emoti, whatever his name is, fucking Elon,
- 22:48Speaker 3: fucking whoever else they've got in there. Saron, Saruman, all
- 22:54Speaker 3: the whole crew. They're not people. This is what bothers
- 22:59Speaker 3: me about them. They're not human beings. They're not even
- 23:03Speaker 3: bad human beings. They're not human beings. When you watch Zuck,
- 23:07Speaker 3: when you watch Zuckerberg, when you watch any of these people,
- 23:10Speaker 3: when you watch Sam Altman, when you watch Teal, they're
- 23:15Speaker 3: not people. They're another thing. I don't know what that is.
- 23:19Speaker 3: I'm not a theologian, but they're not people. So where
- 23:24Speaker 3: is like the big bankers were bad people because they
- 23:27Speaker 3: were greedy and heartless, whatever. They were people and they
- 23:33Speaker 3: had identifiably human traits, although ones that one would call.
- 23:40Speaker 2: Concerning to say the least.
- 23:43Speaker 3: If you ran into a big, greedy oil guy, an Enron,
- 23:47Speaker 3: a scammer or whatever.
- 23:49Speaker 2: They were identifiably people.
- 23:51Speaker 3: These guys, when you look at Altman and Zuckerberg, Elon,
- 23:54Speaker 3: when you see these people talk, they are not people.
- 23:58Speaker 3: They are not human beings. They don't love human beings.
- 24:01Speaker 3: They are kind of weird around human beings. When Zuckerberg
- 24:06Speaker 3: sits down with Giovanna and feels a human being in Zuckerberg,
- 24:09Speaker 3: how do I approach this? How does this work? They
- 24:12Speaker 3: do not like human beings. Human beings gum up their system.
- 24:17Speaker 3: They get in the way of what they want to do,
- 24:19Speaker 3: and they don't love that. Human beings are really inefficient.
- 24:23Speaker 3: That's what Elon Musk said. It's like an inefficient operating
- 24:25Speaker 3: system that desperately needs an upgrade.
- 24:27Speaker 2: I mean, this is what they all believe.
- 24:29Speaker 3: They don't like sloppy humanity and they'd like to eliminate it. So,
- 24:36Speaker 3: you know, that's, and I'm not saying I won't have
- 24:40Speaker 3: any good things either. There will be good things. Like everything,
- 24:44Speaker 3: there will be good things. I'm a little uncomfortable that
- 24:46Speaker 3: five people are running the planet. And every 72 hours,
- 24:51Speaker 3: they are terrifying you into you have to give them
- 24:56Speaker 3: all the money?
- 24:56Speaker 2: We've built something.
- 24:59Speaker 1: You don't know how powerful it is.
- 25:01Speaker 2: All right. It's going to take all your jobs. Okay.
- 25:05Speaker 2: And we need more money. What? We need more money.
- 25:11Speaker 3: And we need to build more data centers. We need
- 25:13Speaker 3: to kick you out of your house. So that's what
- 25:16Speaker 3: you have to be on board with now, by the way.
- 25:17Speaker 3: You have to be on board with your tax dollars
- 25:19Speaker 3: going to OpenAI and Anthropic and then also a data
- 25:22Speaker 3: center being built on the house where your mother died.
- 25:26Speaker 2: And if you're not on board with that, you're not
- 25:28Speaker 2: a good American, by the way.
- 25:30Speaker 3: And Pete Hegseth can take a break from bombing the
- 25:33Speaker 3: schools of children using AI targeting, and he's bombing the
- 25:38Speaker 3: schools of girls to then– put an office of religion
- 25:42Speaker 3: in the Pentagon, an office of faith.
- 25:45Speaker 2: I mean, what a fraud. How disgusting. How abhorrent. Impeach
- 25:47Speaker 2: them all. It's heinous. It's hideous. It's grotesque.
- 25:52Speaker 3: So we can't, you know, we can't even kill people
- 25:56Speaker 3: in this country. We inject this bitch twice. We can't
- 26:00Speaker 3: kill this bitch in Nashville. In Nashville, we can't.
- 26:04Speaker 2: Kill a bitch?
- 26:08Speaker 3: She's strapped to a gurney. You've got a needle and
- 26:12Speaker 3: you still can't kill her. Now let's leave out for
- 26:15Speaker 3: a minute, the death penalty and the corporate barbarism, the totalitarian, whatever.
- 26:19Speaker 3: I'm actually pro death penalty in certain cases.
- 26:22Speaker 2: I really am. I'm sorry. I know people aren't. I
- 26:26Speaker 2: really am.
- 26:27Speaker 3: I think it's a tool and I don't think everyone
- 26:30Speaker 3: can be here. Sorry.
- 26:33Speaker 2: What did she do? She did something horrible. What'd she do?
- 26:37Speaker 2: Bring up what she did.
- 26:39Speaker 3: Chop her head off. Cut her head off. Cut her
- 26:42Speaker 3: fucking head off. Fuck you if you have a problem
- 26:45Speaker 3: with it. She was convicted of the first degree murder
- 26:55Speaker 3: torture conspiracy of 19 year old Colleen Slimmer.
- 26:57Speaker 2: Cut her head off. Who gives a fuck? Enough with
- 27:00Speaker 2: this shit. Sick of this fucking country. Cut her head off.
- 27:03Speaker 3: We can't even kill someone. It's a fucking embarrassment. It's
- 27:06Speaker 3: a fucking embarrassment. This is with Teal's point. This is
- 27:10Speaker 3: all these tech people's point. You can't even.
- 27:12Speaker 2: Kill a bitch.
- 27:15Speaker 3: They're like, you don't want AI. You can't kill a
- 27:17Speaker 3: bitch in fucking jail. On January 12th, 1995, 18-year-old Pike,
- 27:26Speaker 3: her boyfriend, Tadarl Shipp, and their friend, Shadola Peterson, Lord
- 27:30Speaker 3: Fellow Job Corps student, Colleen Slemmer, to a secluded wooded
- 27:33Speaker 3: area on the University of Tennessee Agricultural Campus.
- 27:38Speaker 2: Pike believed Slemmer was interested in Shipp.
- 27:41Speaker 3: Pike and Shipp brutally tortured and bludgeoned Slemmer, cutting her
- 27:44Speaker 3: with a box cutter and a meat cleaver and striking
- 27:45Speaker 3: her with a piece of asphalt.
- 27:46Speaker 2: Slemmer's throat was slashed while she begged for mercy. Here's
- 27:49Speaker 2: the deal.
- 27:50Speaker 3: I try to be a Catholic. Jesus would not execute them.
- 27:53Speaker 3: I'm not Jesus. It is very hard to be a Christian,
- 27:57Speaker 3: and it is very difficult to be a Christian every
- 27:58Speaker 3: moment of the day, and it is really tough to be.
- 28:02Speaker 3: My grandmother tried to live in the examples of Jesus.
- 28:06Speaker 3: It's a very difficult thing to do. Most people don't
- 28:08Speaker 3: do it. No one in our government does it. Hint, hint, hint, hint, hint.
- 28:12Speaker 5: Okay?
- 28:14Speaker 3: So yes, the instinct should be forgiveness.
- 28:17Speaker 2: Turn the other cheek. It is the most difficult thing
- 28:20Speaker 2: in the world.
- 28:21Speaker 3: But I also, listen, listen.
- 28:28Speaker 2: Here's the reality.
- 28:29Speaker 3: You gotta be able to, unfortunately, this woman tortured someone
- 28:37Speaker 3: to death.
- 28:39Speaker 2: It is what it is.
- 28:41Speaker 3: It is, you know, it's not something that I like
- 28:45Speaker 3: to say, but when that second shot did not work
- 28:49Speaker 3: and she was in agony, which is not right, we
- 28:52Speaker 3: shouldn't be torturing people on their way out. We should
- 28:55Speaker 3: have shot her in the head. It would have been humane.
- 28:58Speaker 3: We should have shot her in her face, shot her
- 29:01Speaker 3: in the head. And here's the thing like that. It
- 29:06Speaker 3: would have been kind of unexpected for the audience, and
- 29:10Speaker 3: it would have been something that I think a.
- 29:11Speaker 2: Few of them would have went, that's a real story.
- 29:16Speaker 3: Watching an execution is fine, but you go, it didn't work,
- 29:21Speaker 3: and she kept writhing around in pain, and then a
- 29:23Speaker 3: deputy just said, fuck it, and shot her in the
- 29:25Speaker 3: head because it's Tennessee.
- 29:31Speaker 2: I'm sorry.
- 29:31Speaker 3: She tortured somebody. She's on death row and I'm embarrassed
- 29:34Speaker 3: that we can't kill her. And this is the fucking
- 29:36Speaker 3: anthropics point. They're going to go, you can't even kill
- 29:39Speaker 3: this bitch.
- 29:39Speaker 2: You dumb dumbs.
- 29:41Speaker 3: Can we play a little of a news story about this?
- 29:45Speaker 3: What's she going to do now? She's going to wake up.
- 29:47Speaker 3: She's on a view.
- 29:53Speaker 5: Good evening. I'm Nikki Batiste.
- 29:54Speaker 8: We are coming on the air with a breaking news
- 29:56Speaker 8: update in the case of Krista Pike, the Tennessee death
- 29:59Speaker 8: row inmate who is still alive tonight, according to her lawyer,
- 30:03Speaker 8: after an apparent botched execution attempt. Pike's attorneys are seeking
- 30:08Speaker 8: an emergency stay from the Tennessee State Supreme Court. Two
- 30:11Speaker 8: syringes of the lethal injection pentobarbital had been administered, but
- 30:16Speaker 8: Pike still had a heartbeat and was audibly snoring and
- 30:19Speaker 8: complained of pain, according to witnesses. Correspondents with our Knoxville
- 30:23Speaker 8: affiliate were there, and they break down what happened.
- 30:27Speaker 6: It has been a day unlike any I have ever
- 30:30Speaker 6: experienced in my 30-plus years of reporting here at Riverbend.
- 30:35Speaker 2: It's brutal. Here's the thing. State-sanctioned death is brutal. We
- 30:39Speaker 2: don't want it.
- 30:42Speaker 3: The machinery of state, but just, just someone go in
- 30:47Speaker 3: there and smother her with a pillow, please.
- 30:49Speaker 2: We can get over this while she sleeps.
- 30:53Speaker 3: Just smother her with a pillow, please. We have to
- 30:57Speaker 3: move on in this country. We have to show that
- 31:00Speaker 3: people can do it. We're losing to fucking machines. You
- 31:05Speaker 3: fucking retards go in there and blow her brains out
- 31:09Speaker 3: in her bed. And show these tech fucks that people
- 31:13Speaker 3: still rule. Otherwise, Claude is going to do it. You
- 31:17Speaker 3: know who wouldn't have fucked that execution up?
- 31:19Speaker 2: Claude. Claude would. Or Grock. But you know who did?
- 31:24Speaker 3: These fucking inbred retards in the Tennessee prison system. So
- 31:30Speaker 3: can someone please, for the sake of humanity, to prove
- 31:34Speaker 3: that we still got it, quietly walk into her room
- 31:38Speaker 3: and blow her brains out? Let's continue watching. And by
- 31:43Speaker 3: the way, this is a pro-human piece that I'm doing.
- 31:47Speaker 2: And it's right. And I'm right.
- 31:51Speaker 6: As we waited and waited and waited for a moment that, John,
- 31:55Speaker 6: you eventually witnessed. We don't know if it was the
- 31:59Speaker 6: execution of Krista Pike because we don't know if she's
- 32:03Speaker 6: alive or dead at this point.
- 32:04Speaker 7: No, as we stand here in the parking lot right
- 32:06Speaker 7: outside River Bend, we have no idea whether she's alive
- 32:09Speaker 7: or dead. We were told basically at 8.49 p.m.
- 32:12Speaker 2: Tonight, you need to leave, it's time to go, and
- 32:15Speaker 2: so that's what we did.
- 32:16Speaker 7: We obliged, and last we heard, she was still breathing.
- 32:19Speaker 7: A few minutes after we left the building and emerged here,
- 32:23Speaker 7: we were actually going to start talking to our.
- 32:25Speaker 2: Colleagues in the media.
- 32:27Speaker 7: I noticed a lot of flashing red lights off to
- 32:30Speaker 7: our left, and I pointed over there, and sure enough,
- 32:33Speaker 7: it was a fire truck from Nashville Fire, I think
- 32:35Speaker 7: a couple ambulances, and I'm going to infer they were
- 32:38Speaker 7: picking up Krista, dead or alive, I don't know.
- 32:41Speaker 6: And then they took off. They did, and the sirens,
- 32:43Speaker 6: after minutes, they went back and left. John, you have
- 32:48Speaker 6: witnessed several other executions. This, unlike anyone you've experienced.
- 32:54Speaker 2: Prior, I'm sure. Well, you know, let's be clear. Let's
- 32:57Speaker 2: be clear.
- 32:59Speaker 3: I get aroused, and my doctor said that that's something
- 33:01Speaker 3: that is not unexpected. And it's not only sexual arousal.
- 33:07Speaker 3: What's interesting is that my doctor said it's a response
- 33:10Speaker 3: to any elevation in blood pressure. So when I watch
- 33:14Speaker 3: the execution, my penis becomes erect. And I also feel
- 33:18Speaker 3: my anus muscles loosening and getting wet. Now, as someone
- 33:22Speaker 3: who's not a homosexual, that is interesting to me. But
- 33:25Speaker 3: as I watch the execution, I myself want to be
- 33:30Speaker 3: dominated in a way that I never have felt comfortable
- 33:33Speaker 3: asking my wife to dominate me. I want her to
- 33:36Speaker 3: kind of straddle me with a dildo and peg me
- 33:41Speaker 3: is the term and basically teach me a lesson because
- 33:47Speaker 3: I long to be in the pain of the person
- 33:51Speaker 3: being executed because it feels like the ultimate release. And
- 33:55Speaker 3: what I've learned about sex as I've gotten older is
- 33:58Speaker 3: that it's not just the mechanics. A lot of it
- 34:00Speaker 3: is this cerebral things going on behind it. And I
- 34:04Speaker 3: long for the release of, of that death. So to me,
- 34:09Speaker 3: coming is actually like death. And I want to die many,
- 34:14Speaker 3: many times and shed myself of the physical body so
- 34:19Speaker 3: I can enter an ethereal realm where I completely remain
- 34:24Speaker 3: at a low level of orgasm, sort of like a
- 34:27Speaker 3: time release, which is what I imagine heaven is.
- 34:38Speaker 2: Continue. They think this thing out. They put it in paperwork,
- 34:42Speaker 2: and there are steps. By the way, look at him.
- 34:46Speaker 3: He should not be allowed to watch executions. This guy
- 34:50Speaker 3: should not be allowed to watch executions. By the way,
- 34:53Speaker 3: he is living his best life. This is his dream job.
- 34:58Speaker 3: When he gets a call, it's going down Thursday night.
- 35:01Speaker 3: He is happy. It's like a young kid being told
- 35:06Speaker 3: that they're going to Disney World.
- 35:07Speaker 2: When he gets to go to the death house.
- 35:10Speaker 3: And my favorite movie when I was a kid was
- 35:12Speaker 3: dead man walking with Susan Sarandon and Sean Penn. What
- 35:16Speaker 3: an amazing film of that sister, Helen Prejean, who literally
- 35:18Speaker 3: did the work of being a real Christian and minister
- 35:20Speaker 3: to people on death row. And, and it's unbelievable. And
- 35:25Speaker 3: it's one of the great greatest films of our time, truly.
- 35:29Speaker 3: But this man is very sick. Obviously the man we're
- 35:32Speaker 3: looking at now and all right, get him out of here.
- 35:34Speaker 2: All right. She's not dead. I know what to do
- 35:37Speaker 2: with everybody.
- 35:39Speaker 3: I don't know what to do because I'm just, you know, again,
- 35:47Speaker 3: it's a pro-human show and I want to show that
- 35:50Speaker 3: people have the, people still have the ability to really execute.
- 35:57Speaker 2: And I mean tasks and people.
- 36:01Speaker 3: If your job is to make sure she's going, you
- 36:04Speaker 3: cannot fuck it up. It looks bad. It looks bad.
- 36:10Speaker 3: I love Gusto. People keep asking me, what is Gusto?

- 36:54Speaker 2: Honda dog. Real sports fan. We're completely rational. I'm not
- 36:58Speaker 2: going to check my pick every five minutes.
- 37:00Speaker 3: Sure. I'm not going to overreact to the first drive.
- 37:02Speaker 1: Yeah, right.
- 37:02Speaker 2: I'm not going to crash out in the group chat.
- 37:03Speaker 2: Good luck, buddy.
- 37:04Speaker 3: That's why I love having something on the line. It
- 37:06Speaker 3: turns all of us into complete lunatics in the best
- 37:08Speaker 3: possible way. Suddenly you're rooting for a backup tight end
- 37:10Speaker 3: you've never heard of because he needs 12 more yards.
- 37:12Speaker 3: You're switching seats in the house. You don't jinx the
- 37:14Speaker 3: QB because that's logical. That's sports. That's what underdog gets.
- 37:18Speaker 3: It's not just about the outcome. It's about every second,

- 37:24Speaker 3: Keep your million.
- 37:25Speaker 2: Start with a million. Make it through all 20 picks

- 37:45Speaker 3: right now in our country. Have you ever gone out
- 37:47Speaker 3: to eat anymore? It's not fun. Let me tell you
- 37:52Speaker 3: what happens when you go out to eat. You go
- 37:54Speaker 3: sit at a table. They hand you a menu. You
- 37:57Speaker 3: look at the menu. Some waiter comes over and they're
- 38:00Speaker 3: on drugs. Your children are uncomfortable.
- 38:03Speaker 2: Okay? The waiter's weird, but he's not bad looking.
- 38:07Speaker 3: And your wife starts looking at him and imagining having
- 38:10Speaker 3: sex with him.
- 38:11Speaker 1: Okay?
- 38:12Speaker 2: In his dirty apartment. His dirty apartment.
- 38:15Speaker 3: She wants to just ride his cock in the dirty.
- 38:19Speaker 2: Little hole he lives in.
- 38:20Speaker 3: Because she doesn't like the big house that you built
- 38:24Speaker 3: and all the work and the drinking that you do
- 38:25Speaker 3: softens your penis a little bit. She wants his rock
- 38:28Speaker 3: hard filth cock and she wants to have sex in
- 38:30Speaker 3: a hole with him. That's what's going on at restaurants.
- 38:34Speaker 3: ButcherBox delivers 100% grass-fed beef, organic chicken, wild-caught seafood, and more.
- 38:40Speaker 2: All sourced to standards it can actually tell you about.

- 38:49Speaker 3: I love ButcherBox. It really fits into my routine. It's
- 38:52Speaker 3: just there, and I eat it. I sear it sizzle steak.

- 39:13Speaker 3: of the oldest friends of the show, truly, and someone
- 39:16Speaker 3: who's now making a foray into stand-up comedy, the great
- 39:21Speaker 3: Barry Weiss.
- 39:25Speaker 2: Barry Weiss is a.
- 39:28Speaker 3: She's doing comedy now. She's, doing a performance art. She's,
- 39:33Speaker 3: and I like it. I like it because when you're
- 39:38Speaker 3: a creative person, you don't want to be boxed in.
- 39:42Speaker 3: And I think she's just been boxed in and that's
- 39:44Speaker 3: a crowd's reaction. Take a look at the crowd. There's
- 39:46Speaker 3: a teal and the rest of them. That's the crowd's
- 39:48Speaker 3: reaction over the comedy.
- 39:50Speaker 4: She's new.
- 39:51Speaker 2: Hey, guys, she's a beginner. How about you lighten up?
- 39:55Speaker 3: She's a beginner. She's been running CBS News. She's a beginner.
- 40:00Speaker 3: So Barry is now starting out in comedy, but she's
- 40:02Speaker 3: got raw talent and charisma. So if you pair that
- 40:06Speaker 3: with work ethic and then a desire to dominate the
- 40:11Speaker 3: world and subjugate others, which we know she has, I
- 40:15Speaker 3: think she will do actually very.
- 40:16Speaker 2: Well in this.
- 40:17Speaker 3: So let's play one of her first sets.
- 40:20Speaker 2: That's on camera.
- 40:21Speaker 3: We have Barry Weiss doing comedy for Peter Thiel and
- 40:27Speaker 3: I believe the Palantir audience.
- 40:28Speaker 2: And they're a fun-loving group. And so here she goes.
- 40:34Speaker 3: Barry Weiss, friend of our show for a very long time,
- 40:38Speaker 3: doing stand-up comedy.
- 40:40Speaker 2: Here she is. The Axel Springer Award 2026 goes to
- 40:44Speaker 2: Peter Thiel.
- 41:01Speaker 6: Please welcome on stage the CEO of the Free Press
- 41:05Speaker 6: and Editor-in-Chief of CBS News, Barry Weiss.
- 41:17Speaker 5: I want to begin tonight by thanking you all for
- 41:20Speaker 5: attending my lecture on the Antichrist. For all the media
- 41:24Speaker 5: journalists who are watching this or pouring over this transcript,
- 41:28Speaker 5: that was a joke. I only talk about the Antichrist
- 41:31Speaker 5: at my secret weekly meeting supervised by the Mossad in
- 41:34Speaker 5: Tel Aviv. What's not a joke is that I'm deeply
- 41:38Speaker 5: grateful to be here in Berlin with Matthias Doffner, a
- 41:41Speaker 5: true friend and ally.
- 41:42Speaker 3: All right, stop it right there. Now, Barry goes up.
- 41:47Speaker 3: And she's nervous. You can tell she's nervous because she
- 41:52Speaker 3: hasn't done anything in public in a while. She's been
- 41:55Speaker 3: in a bunker in CBS News. And she's surrounded by
- 41:59Speaker 3: security guards all day, every day. And if you as
- 42:02Speaker 3: much at CBS News go, hey, I'm going to get
- 42:05Speaker 3: a Caesar wrap.
- 42:06Speaker 2: You want something?
- 42:06Speaker 3: They'll kill you. That's the imagined threat level she's under.
- 42:11Speaker 6: So....
- 42:15Speaker 2: She has not been in public. She used to do
- 42:17Speaker 2: these debates.
- 42:18Speaker 3: And you know, she was in public a lot. I
- 42:20Speaker 3: opened one of them with standup. I opened two of them.
- 42:24Speaker 2: Paid me well, very nice.
- 42:25Speaker 3: And, and, and, and I'm told, I told someone recently,
- 42:27Speaker 3: she still thinks I'm funny, which I appreciate.
- 42:29Speaker 2: I appreciate. Um, and so she is, uh, giving Peter
- 42:39Speaker 2: Thiel some award. He's won an award. I don't know.
- 42:42Speaker 2: He doesn't seem happy about it.
- 42:44Speaker 3: And, No one around him seems happy, but it's an
- 42:47Speaker 3: award that Axel Springer. Can you look that up? What
- 42:51Speaker 3: kind of award that is? I'm curious what kind of
- 42:53Speaker 3: award he's getting. But I imagine it's for his humanitarian work.
- 42:57Speaker 3: You know, he's always trying to help. He's always trying
- 43:00Speaker 3: to help people from what I understand about him. But
- 43:04Speaker 3: Barry is there. Now, Barry is kind of she's doing
- 43:06Speaker 3: a playful roast because we all know Peter Thiel gives
- 43:09Speaker 3: lectures about the Antichrist. We also know that Peter Thiel
- 43:13Speaker 3: owns the company Palantir, which provides a lot of tech
- 43:15Speaker 3: to Israel for what they're doing in Gaza.
- 43:18Speaker 2: So Barry does a joke. She goes, okay, so it's
- 43:22Speaker 2: the Axel Springer Award. Click on that.
- 43:26Speaker 3: Oh, he honored Thiel for creating new markets, driving technological chains,
- 43:29Speaker 3: and shaping digital payments and data analytics.
- 43:31Speaker 2: Oh, it's a digital payment award. Amazing. Well, by the way,
- 43:36Speaker 2: hats off. Congrats.
- 43:40Speaker 3: So Peter Thiel is in Germany to accept a digital
- 43:43Speaker 3: payment award. And Barry Weiss is hosting the event. And
- 43:50Speaker 3: Barry goes out there and goes, hey, this is my
- 43:52Speaker 3: speech on the Antichrist. Playfully talking about Thiel. And then
- 43:56Speaker 3: she goes, no, no, no, no, no. I actually only
- 43:58Speaker 3: give that at my secret meeting, which he has. Peter
- 44:01Speaker 3: Thiel has that secret group. And everyone that was in
- 44:03Speaker 3: it got outed. And she goes at the Mossad meetings
- 44:07Speaker 3: in Tel Aviv. Now... Palantir works with the Mossad and
- 44:12Speaker 3: the CIA, and they provide a lot of weapons technology
- 44:16Speaker 3: for the IDF. Peter Thiel does give lectures on the Antichrist.
- 44:23Speaker 3: Peter Thiel also has a secret group.
- 44:25Speaker 2: Barry, honey, baby. Barry, sweetie, darling.
- 44:28Speaker 4: Where's the joke?
- 44:30Speaker 3: Honey, it's got to be a bit. Baby cakes, sweetie.
- 44:34Speaker 3: It's got to be a bit. You can't just go
- 44:36Speaker 3: out there and say three provably true things and hope
- 44:40Speaker 3: everybody laughs because of how ridiculous they are. They're all
- 44:42Speaker 3: provably true. They're on Wikipedia. You could prove that case
- 44:47Speaker 3: in court. He has a secret group. He works with
- 44:51Speaker 3: the Israeli army and the Mossad. And he's fucking gives
- 44:54Speaker 3: lectures on the Antichrist.
- 44:57Speaker 2: So she's going out.
- 44:58Speaker 3: Now, this is how detached she is. She thinks that
- 45:02Speaker 3: this is, she's making fun of the absurd suggestion that
- 45:09Speaker 3: this guy's lecturing about the Antichrist in Tel Aviv, which
- 45:13Speaker 3: he would. Why wouldn't he? He's doing it in Nashville.
- 45:17Speaker 3: He'll do it in Tel Aviv. He makes more money
- 45:20Speaker 3: in Tel Aviv than Nashville. But Barry comes out and
- 45:25Speaker 3: lays this all out as.
- 45:27Speaker 4: If it's, play it again.
- 45:28Speaker 2: It's unbelievable.
- 45:29Speaker 4: It's a fact.
- 45:31Speaker 3: She states three facts. Here she is, Barry Wise. She's
- 45:36Speaker 3: rushing too. Pause it for a minute. When you're bombing,
- 45:40Speaker 3: you're usually rushing. I've had bad stats and you're usually
- 45:42Speaker 3: going like this and you're going really fast because you're hoping.
- 45:44Speaker 2: To get to something that'll make someone laugh. Please, I can't.
- 45:52Speaker 5: I want to begin tonight by thanking you all for
- 45:55Speaker 5: attending my lecture on the Antichrist.
- 45:58Speaker 2: Fact, he does.
- 45:59Speaker 5: For all the media journalists who are watching this or
- 46:01Speaker 5: pouring over this transcript, that was a joke. I only
- 46:04Speaker 5: talk about the Antichrist at my secret weekly meeting supervised
- 46:08Speaker 5: by the Mossad in Tel Aviv.
- 46:09Speaker 2: He has a secret club. He has a secret group.
- 46:13Speaker 3: He sells, the Palantir sells their weapons tech to the
- 46:16Speaker 3: IDF and to the Mossad.
- 46:18Speaker 7: What?
- 46:19Speaker 1: What?
- 46:20Speaker 3: So now she's doing this. Now Teal is in the
- 46:22Speaker 3: seat going, can you shut your mouth? You know, here's
- 46:26Speaker 3: the thing with her. They keep trying to make her
- 46:28Speaker 3: a thing. The Mossad has to be so unbelievably embarrassed.
- 46:33Speaker 2: Look at his face. Look at his face. The Mossad
- 46:37Speaker 2: has to be so embarrassed by the money they gave her.
- 46:40Speaker 2: They go, can't she just.
- 46:42Speaker 3: Go back to doing these debates and stop whatever the
- 46:45Speaker 3: hell she's doing?
- 46:46Speaker 2: She's bringing heat on the whole operation.
- 46:49Speaker 3: This is like the scene in Goodfellas when they're like,
- 46:52Speaker 3: I told you don't get a new fucking car.
- 46:54Speaker 2: Like, you know, like.
- 46:56Speaker 3: So this is Peter Thiel's face at Barry Weiss's attempt
- 46:59Speaker 3: to comedy when she's just stating facts about him that
- 47:02Speaker 3: she thinks are quirky.
- 47:04Speaker 2: Keep playing this.
- 47:04Speaker 3: I want to keep I want to see where she
- 47:05Speaker 3: pivots to because Barry does love a pivot.
- 47:10Speaker 5: Secret weekly meeting supervised by the Mossad in Tel Aviv.
- 47:14Speaker 5: What's not a joke is that I'm deeply grateful to
- 47:17Speaker 5: be here in Berlin.
- 47:18Speaker 3: None of it was a joke, honey, honey. When you
- 47:22Speaker 3: have to say what's not a joke, none of it
- 47:24Speaker 3: was a joke. That's why the audience is sitting there
- 47:26Speaker 3: in stunned silence because none of it's a joke. They
- 47:30Speaker 3: don't know why you've put it all together so well.
- 47:34Speaker 3: You've genuinely linked it all up quite nicely. You've summarized
- 47:39Speaker 3: three hours of InfoWars into one pretty believable anecdote tidbit
- 47:44Speaker 3: that you decide to open the thing up with.
- 47:47Speaker 2: But go on. Keep going.
- 47:49Speaker 5: A true friend and ally. And with Axel Springer, a
- 47:53Speaker 5: company with morally clear values and leaders willing to stand
- 47:56Speaker 5: up for them. And obviously, I'm happy to be here
- 47:59Speaker 5: with all of you. Back home, there is a quote
- 48:02Speaker 5: widely attributed to Bismarck. God has a special providence for fools,
- 48:07Speaker 5: drunkards and the United States of America. Now, who knows
- 48:11Speaker 5: if the German chancellor actually uttered the backhanded compliment? But
- 48:15Speaker 5: I love it, as do so many others, because it
- 48:18Speaker 5: gets to a higher truth about my country, that America
- 48:22Speaker 5: is a very lucky place. It's a lucky place to
- 48:25Speaker 5: be born and it is a lucky place to end up.
- 48:29Speaker 5: It's why people from every corner of the globe still
- 48:31Speaker 5: reach for our shores as a place to build, including
- 48:35Speaker 5: our Frankfurt-born honoree. Tonight, I have the pleasure to introduce
- 48:40Speaker 5: a man whose life.
- 48:41Speaker 3: She's using Peter Thiel as the example of the American dream.
- 48:48Speaker 2: That's great. That is kind of cool. That is pretty hilarious.
- 48:54Speaker 3: She's using a guy that built a defense tech company
- 48:57Speaker 3: that is murdering people in at a massive scale all
- 49:00Speaker 3: over the world.
- 49:01Speaker 2: Here's what she's saying is it's still, it's a lucky place.
- 49:05Speaker 2: It's a lucky place.
- 49:06Speaker 3: That's why people from all over the world come here
- 49:09Speaker 3: in hopes of starting an AI defense company that can
- 49:12Speaker 3: massacre people all over the world. Because it's a lucky
- 49:16Speaker 3: place in America. By the way, the guy, he left America.
- 49:19Speaker 3: He doesn't even live here anymore. He's living in Argentina.
- 49:22Speaker 6: Argentina.
- 49:22Speaker 2: Keep going. God, I can't get enough of her. She's
- 49:26Speaker 2: just top notch, isn't she?
- 49:28Speaker 3: Every time you think it's bad, it gets worse. It's unbelievable.
- 49:33Speaker 3: By the way, what are the Ellisons even doing? You
- 49:35Speaker 3: know if Larry Ellison calls his son and goes, what
- 49:38Speaker 3: are you doing with her?
- 49:40Speaker 2: I guarantee you Larry Ellison calls his son.
- 49:42Speaker 3: I don't even know, and I don't know if it's
- 49:43Speaker 3: any of them. I guarantee you Larry Ellison's going, what
- 49:47Speaker 3: exactly is going on with her?
- 49:50Speaker 2: I know you had a few nice dinners, but what's
- 49:52Speaker 2: happening here?
- 49:53Speaker 3: Gay?
- 49:55Speaker 5: Whose character embodies what I think of as the quintessential
- 49:59Speaker 5: American spirit. Heretical, driven, audacious, pioneering, innovative, entrepreneurial, original, eccentric,
- 50:10Speaker 5: and above all, ferociously independent. And that, of course, is
- 50:13Speaker 5: Peter Thiel. Peter Thiel is many things. He is a
- 50:17Speaker 5: center of gravity in Silicon Valley, a vanguard of the
- 50:20Speaker 5: counter elite. He's a man whose name.
- 50:23Speaker 3: By the way, I just, I'm just delighting in this really,
- 50:26Speaker 3: you know, this is like made for me.
- 50:30Speaker 2: This is like a tailor made.
- 50:31Speaker 3: This is, I want nothing more than to watch this. Like,
- 50:36Speaker 3: this is what I curl up with, with it, with
- 50:39Speaker 3: a nice cup, a nice bowl of Haagen-Dazs.
- 50:42Speaker 2: And, and, you know, other people want to watch, like,
- 50:44Speaker 2: I don't.
- 50:44Speaker 3: Know, The Hunger Games or fucking, you know, they want
- 50:48Speaker 3: to watch The Godfather or they want to watch Resident Evil.
- 50:54Speaker 2: All of those three movies together to me are this.
- 50:58Speaker 3: To watch one sociopath give an award to another psychopath
- 51:03Speaker 3: is unbelievable. It's actually the most beautiful. Barry Weiss giving
- 51:09Speaker 3: an award to Peter Thiel right now. is a gift
- 51:13Speaker 3: to me from almighty. Like, thank you. I don't deserve this.
- 51:18Speaker 3: I do not deserve this. At a digital payments conference
- 51:23Speaker 3: in Berlin? I mean, stop it. And Barry's dressed in
- 51:28Speaker 3: all black?
- 51:31Speaker 2: Stop it. And she's saying.
- 51:33Speaker 3: Peter Thiel's the American dream and he's ferocious.
- 51:37Speaker 2: Entrepreneurial, independent. Like it's and.
- 51:40Speaker 3: He's sitting there emotionless waiting for it to end. He goes,
- 51:44Speaker 3: when will they get her off the stage? Peter Thiel
- 51:47Speaker 3: wants the Sandman to come out with the Apollo with
- 51:49Speaker 3: the hook and get her off. Peter Thiel doesn't want
- 51:53Speaker 3: his shit discussed. Peter Thiel just goes, give me the
- 51:56Speaker 3: fucking award. He's sitting there looking at her going, God,
- 52:00Speaker 3: you're a mediocre adult. Keep going. Please keep going. I'm
- 52:05Speaker 3: not going to play this whole thing because it's too long.
- 52:08Speaker 3: How long is this, by the way?
- 52:09Speaker 2: Her speech is like 10 minutes. Oh, it's only 10.
- 52:11Speaker 2: We might stick with it, folks. I'm telling you right now.
- 52:15Speaker 2: It's too good.
- 52:16Speaker 4: This is too.
- 52:17Speaker 2: First of all, number one, let's just think about this, folks.
- 52:22Speaker 3: Whose idea was this for either one of their PR?
- 52:27Speaker 3: Whose idea was this? Where is the president of CBS News?
- 52:34Speaker 3: She's giving Peter Thiel an award at a Germany digital
- 52:38Speaker 3: payments conference?
- 52:40Speaker 2: Didn't this happen recently?
- 52:42Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 52:43Speaker 2: This woman is supposed to be the impartial head of
- 52:47Speaker 2: one of our greatest legacy news brands.
- 52:49Speaker 3: She's giving an award to the head of a defense
- 52:54Speaker 3: tech AI surveillance company who's left.
- 52:58Speaker 2: The country, doesn't even live in America.
- 52:59Speaker 4: I mean, God, it's so good. It is so good.
- 53:11Speaker 3: And they wonder why everyone hates them. The tech people,
- 53:17Speaker 3: the elites, the people go, why is everyone mad at
- 53:21Speaker 3: the cost.
- 53:21Speaker 2: Of a burrito? You know what they're really mad at? You.
- 53:24Speaker 2: They hate you.
- 53:26Speaker 3: Yes, the cost of the burrito is annoying. But when
- 53:29Speaker 3: you do shit like this, it's unbelievable.
- 53:35Speaker 2: God, keep going, please.
- 53:37Speaker 5: A Rorschach test the world over, including judging from the
- 53:41Speaker 5: protests down the street here in Berlin. But above all,
- 53:45Speaker 5: I would say Peter Thiel is free. The New York
- 53:49Speaker 5: Times columnist Maureen Dowd once called Thiel a walking oxymoron.
- 53:54Speaker 5: And in a certain light, it can certainly appear that way.
- 53:57Speaker 5: Is he a traditionalist or a transhumanist? Is he the
- 54:01Speaker 5: ultimate insider or the consummate outsider? An orthodox Christian or
- 54:07Speaker 5: the most prominent unorthodox figure of our age? A prophet
- 54:11Speaker 5: of doom who believes that we're in a period of
- 54:13Speaker 5: technological stagnation? Or a utopian who thinks we're on the
- 54:18Speaker 5: precipice of beating death itself?
- 54:20Speaker 2: Pause this. She's asked to give this guy an award.
- 54:26Speaker 2: Now I feel bad for him. This is how bad
- 54:29Speaker 2: Barry Weiss is at her job. She makes you feel
- 54:31Speaker 2: bad for the devil.
- 54:33Speaker 3: If Barry Weiss was giving an award to the devil,
- 54:35Speaker 3: you would go, halfway through it, you'd have to go, oh, really?
- 54:37Speaker 3: He has to sit through this? This is how bad
- 54:40Speaker 3: Barry Weiss is. She's there to give this guy an award.
- 54:42Speaker 3: She goes, is he a prophet of doom? Can you
- 54:46Speaker 3: imagine giving someone an award and that's one of the
- 54:51Speaker 3: lines in the speech that nobody takes a big marker
- 54:54Speaker 3: out with red pen and goes hey hon that's a
- 54:56Speaker 3: little negative we're kind of giving him an award for
- 54:58Speaker 3: whatever whatever fucking markets he built in this digital payment
- 55:01Speaker 3: you know this bullshit we're all doing here we're just
- 55:04Speaker 3: giving him an award she goes is he a prophet
- 55:06Speaker 3: of doom it's like you almost think who is there
- 55:09Speaker 3: no editor does she have no editor does her wife
- 55:12Speaker 3: or anyone who her wife's a really good writer does
- 55:14Speaker 3: anyone grab it and go.
- 55:16Speaker 2: Hey honey you called him a prophet now by the.
- 55:18Speaker 3: Way she happens to be correct but It's the guy's
- 55:21Speaker 3: fake award.
- 55:23Speaker 2: I mean, come on.
- 55:26Speaker 5: But why isn't he just all of the above?
- 55:29Speaker 2: Right.
- 55:30Speaker 5: The thing is, is that Peter Thiel defies categorization. And
- 55:34Speaker 5: that is just one of the many things that confounds
- 55:36Speaker 5: his critics. But what those who love him and those
- 55:39Speaker 5: who love him just a little bit less can't dispute
- 55:43Speaker 5: is this. He sees things before the rest of us do.
- 55:47Speaker 5: He knows what's coming and seems... consistently to get there first.
- 55:52Speaker 5: It's an extraordinary quality and one that's given him an
- 55:55Speaker 5: astonishing track record. Like back in 1998, betting on an
- 56:00Speaker 5: e-commerce platform when no one knew what an online order was.
- 56:05Speaker 5: Like launching the Teal Fellowship and urging bright young people
- 56:08Speaker 5: to skip college long before anyone dared say out loud
- 56:12Speaker 5: that much of American higher education had gone bust. Or
- 56:16Speaker 5: writing in an email to Mark Zuckerberg back in 2020
- 56:19Speaker 5: that high housing costs and student debt would drive legions
- 56:24Speaker 5: of young people to reject capitalism and embrace socialism.
- 56:29Speaker 3: Or making the crazy bet that Israel might go into
- 56:32Speaker 3: Gaza and kill everyone.
- 56:34Speaker 2: Who would have thunk it? Only Peter Thiel.
- 56:38Speaker 5: The DSA was making daily headlines. or predicting the rise
- 56:42Speaker 5: of a global movement around AI safetyism years before people
- 56:47Speaker 5: knew what AGI even stood for. I don't think those
- 56:51Speaker 5: are lucky breaks. They happen because Peter actually lives out
- 56:55Speaker 5: that classic Apple slogan, think different. He's able to see
- 56:59Speaker 5: around corners because he sees the world differently from other people.
- 57:03Speaker 2: And he has people around those corners going, here's what's
- 57:05Speaker 2: going to happen, but go on.
- 57:07Speaker 5: Which means, of course, like everyone in this room, Peter
- 57:10Speaker 5: Thiel and I have our differences. He's a gay man.
- 57:13Speaker 5: I'm a gay woman, which makes us cosmic foes. He's
- 57:16Speaker 5: into seasteading. I get seasick in a canoe. He believes
- 57:20Speaker 5: the Messiah has come and I'm Jewish, so I'm still
- 57:23Speaker 5: waiting for him to show up. And of course, there's
- 57:26Speaker 5: the difference in our attitude, at least sometimes toward the
- 57:29Speaker 5: press and to the vital role that it plays in
- 57:31Speaker 5: maintaining a liberal democracy. I view it as essential. It's
- 57:35Speaker 5: my life's work. I see it as an instrument of
- 57:38Speaker 5: liberty and as an engine of progress that deserves to
- 57:41Speaker 5: be invested in and perfected. But to the extent Peter
- 57:44Speaker 5: and I disagree on this, I'm going to consider it
- 57:47Speaker 5: a victory for my side of the argument that he's
- 57:49Speaker 5: here tonight receiving an award from an institution that's become
- 57:53Speaker 5: synonymous with freedom of the press and just freedom around
- 57:57Speaker 5: the world. Because in a free world, we won't always agree.
- 58:01Speaker 5: That is in the nature of freedom. And I want
- 58:05Speaker 5: to live in freedom. I want to live alongside people,
- 58:08Speaker 5: even those that I disagree with. I would say especially
- 58:11Speaker 5: those that I disagree with.
- 58:13Speaker 2: Thank you.
- 58:13Speaker 5: Because in thinking freely and in risking big and in
- 58:17Speaker 5: risking being wrong.
- 58:19Speaker 2: Such terrible.
- 58:20Speaker 5: Three people expand the scope of what is possible for
- 58:23Speaker 5: all of us. My brilliant colleague, Ross Douthat, recently called
- 58:28Speaker 5: Peter the most influential right wing intellectual of the past
- 58:32Speaker 5: 20 years. I think that might be true. But what
- 58:36Speaker 5: that label right wing or conservative misses is how strange
- 58:40Speaker 5: and wild, how untamed Peter's worldview is. It's why it's
- 58:45Speaker 5: so fun to sit across from him in a conversation
- 58:48Speaker 5: or an interview, because you never know where he will go.
- 58:52Speaker 5: He might wind up saying he's not sure if freedom
- 58:54Speaker 5: and democracy are compatible or seriously considering, as he did recently,
- 58:59Speaker 5: whether or not the human race should continue. I think
- 59:01Speaker 5: in the end, the answer is bad.
- 59:02Speaker 3: Let's pause it for a minute. Honey, these are bad things.
- 59:07Speaker 3: I just want to reiterate that.
- 59:10Speaker 2: My love, my dear. These are not good things. She goes,
- 59:15Speaker 2: it's always fun.
- 59:16Speaker 3: To sit with Peter because he goes, he doesn't know
- 59:18Speaker 3: if democracy and freedom are compatible.
- 59:20Speaker 2: And maybe that human beings shouldn't even exist. And that's
- 59:23Speaker 2: a fun night out. You know, maybe.
- 59:27Speaker 3: But he's a billionaire and he runs a huge company
- 59:31Speaker 3: that has contracts with the government and it's subsidized to
- 59:35Speaker 3: a degree with tax dollars.
- 59:38Speaker 2: A lot, by the way.
- 59:40Speaker 3: So it's not nice, sweetie, that he wants to eliminate
- 59:44Speaker 3: the human race. I know that you find it cute
- 59:48Speaker 3: when you have dinner with him.
- 59:49Speaker 2: It's quirky. But it actually disturbs many of us. Keep going.
- 59:54Speaker 2: Let's see if she finishes big. What a.
- 59:56Speaker 3: What a real– not a– how long does this keep going?
- 1:00:01Speaker 3: We can't go on here forever.
- 1:00:03Speaker 2: Like another four minutes.
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: I can go to the end.
- 1:00:05Speaker 2: Oh, it's another four? No, we're giving her four. Listen,
- 1:00:08Speaker 2: let me tell you right now. This is my Super Bowl.
- 1:00:11Speaker 3: The head of CBS News is giving Peter Thiel an
- 1:00:14Speaker 3: award in Germany. It is Barry Weiss. She's up there.
- 1:00:19Speaker 3: He looks so uncomfortable. This is my Super Bowl. We're
- 1:00:23Speaker 3: going to give her the next four minutes because she's
- 1:00:26Speaker 3: just getting to the good stuff. She's saying he doesn't
- 1:00:28Speaker 3: think the human race should exist and he doesn't believe
- 1:00:30Speaker 3: in democracy.
- 1:00:31Speaker 2: But that's one of the reasons she likes him. Continue.
- 1:00:36Speaker 5: His is a worldview informed by both Ayn Rand and
- 1:00:39Speaker 5: Rene Girard, by Strauss and Tolkien, as you saw in
- 1:00:42Speaker 5: that video, by Christianity, by libertarianism and techno-optimism, and perhaps
- 1:00:48Speaker 5: above all, by unorthodoxy. or as Gerard would have put it,
- 1:00:52Speaker 5: by anti-memesis, as a school of thought and as a practice,
- 1:00:56Speaker 5: as a habit of mind. That unusual blend has produced
- 1:01:01Speaker 5: what is perhaps the defining question of Peter Thiel's career.
- 1:01:04Speaker 5: What important truth do very few people agree with you on?
- 1:01:09Speaker 5: He famously asks that to founders and to potential hires.
- 1:01:14Speaker 5: But it's more than an interview stunt. I think that
- 1:01:17Speaker 5: question is at the essence of Peter's character. What important
- 1:01:22Speaker 5: truth do very few people agree with you on is
- 1:01:25Speaker 5: a question that can only be asked and answered by
- 1:01:29Speaker 5: someone with courage. Because it takes courage to interrogate your priors.
- 1:01:34Speaker 5: It takes courage to say out loud the thing you
- 1:01:37Speaker 5: know will set you apart. It takes courage to be lonely.
- 1:01:41Speaker 5: There is a reason that so many public figures of
- 1:01:46Speaker 5: our age seem to speak in perfect unison on every
- 1:01:49Speaker 5: important topic. And there is a reason that we can
- 1:01:53Speaker 5: count on one hand the ones that don't, which is
- 1:01:56Speaker 5: why that quality, that willingness to be shouted out without
- 1:02:00Speaker 5: going wobbly, is vanishingly rare these days. It's better to
- 1:02:05Speaker 5: risk boldness than triviality, Peter writes in his book Zero
- 1:02:10Speaker 5: to One, which is available in bookstores everywhere. He needs
- 1:02:13Speaker 5: the royalties. And it is a principle that Peter has
- 1:02:16Speaker 5: lived out and then some in his own life. No
- 1:02:19Speaker 5: one in the world, can accuse tonight's honoree of being boring.
- 1:02:24Speaker 4: It has also.
- 1:02:25Speaker 5: Animated the most tangible way that he has changed our world,
- 1:02:29Speaker 5: through the companies that he has founded and funded. What
- 1:02:32Speaker 5: happened to the future, Peter asks, and not with nostalgia.
- 1:02:36Speaker 5: He asks it in order to change it and to
- 1:02:39Speaker 5: challenge the rest of us to think bigger, to think
- 1:02:42Speaker 5: in civilizational terms. And his companies have created the future.
- 1:02:47Speaker 5: PayPal changed the nature of commerce. Palantir changed the nature
- 1:02:51Speaker 5: of warfighting, among many other things, and the countless number
- 1:02:55Speaker 5: of startups and companies that Thiel's capital has launched into orbit,
- 1:03:00Speaker 5: not to mention the vast network of founders and builders
- 1:03:03Speaker 5: and young people, including even a free press intern, that
- 1:03:06Speaker 5: he has influenced. To name just a few, Meta, SpaceX, Neuralink, Anduril, Hadrian, Airbnb, Ramp, Stripe,
- 1:03:14Speaker 5: and Spotify. These are founders and companies that have transformed
- 1:03:18Speaker 5: the way that hundreds of millions of people around the
- 1:03:21Speaker 5: world live their lives, making commerce more efficient, making music
- 1:03:25Speaker 5: and travel more accessible, launching satellites, manufacturing drones, promising future
- 1:03:31Speaker 5: life on Mars, allowing the mute to speak, as in
- 1:03:35Speaker 5: the case of Neuralink.
- 1:03:36Speaker 2: By the way, can you go mute? Where's the technology
- 1:03:39Speaker 2: to get you to go mute?
- 1:03:42Speaker 5: These are companies that make the American, maybe the Western,
- 1:03:45Speaker 5: will to build alive and real, propelling to success the
- 1:03:50Speaker 5: startups and the people that might just guarantee that the
- 1:03:53Speaker 5: next century remains a free one. I know Germans like
- 1:03:58Speaker 5: their operas long, so I am sure that we have
- 1:04:01Speaker 5: only witnessed the first act in Peter's Ring Cycle. There
- 1:04:04Speaker 5: will surely be more provocations, more ideas to test, more
- 1:04:08Speaker 5: worlds to build. We are in the early stages of
- 1:04:12Speaker 5: a century that Peter has said promises to be far
- 1:04:16Speaker 5: greater and more terrible than the great and terrible 20th century.
- 1:04:21Speaker 5: But greater and more terrible in what way? Will the
- 1:04:26Speaker 5: 21st century usher in machine gods, populism, or rule by algorithm, apocalypse,
- 1:04:32Speaker 5: or abundance? As Strauss put the bigger question we all face.
- 1:04:36Speaker 3: Or even, or she goes, or worse than any of
- 1:04:38Speaker 3: those things, me. Will it worsen anything? Worse than machine gods,
- 1:04:46Speaker 3: rule by algorithm, or populism?
- 1:04:49Speaker 2: Me.
- 1:04:49Speaker 3: More of me in this black outfit. This ill-fitting black suit.
- 1:04:54Speaker 3: Will it be more of me droning on in this
- 1:04:56Speaker 3: ill-fitting black suit? Doesn't she have 200 million?
- 1:04:59Speaker 2: Honey, get a stylist. Keep going.
- 1:05:02Speaker 5: Or return. What's amazing about Peter Thiel is that he
- 1:05:06Speaker 5: can argue either side of any of those questions. What's
- 1:05:10Speaker 5: more important... And what I know we need as we
- 1:05:13Speaker 5: hurdle through the era of AI and the algorithm is
- 1:05:17Speaker 5: that he has practiced at being perpendicular. In this era
- 1:05:21Speaker 5: of conformity, it is essential that we have sharp people
- 1:05:25Speaker 5: unwilling to soften their edges.
- 1:05:27Speaker 3: Oh, boy.
- 1:05:27Speaker 5: People who demand.
- 1:05:29Speaker 2: You've softened your edges a little.
- 1:05:31Speaker 5: And crucially, who still remain interested in the questions that
- 1:05:34Speaker 5: so many left behind or, frankly, never even entertained by
- 1:05:38Speaker 5: the time they graduated college. Peter Thiel still hungers for
- 1:05:42Speaker 5: knowledge and understanding.
- 1:05:44Speaker 3: I mean, these billionaires are sitting there going, when do
- 1:05:45Speaker 3: we get to eat the children? When do we get
- 1:05:48Speaker 3: to eat the children? When do we get to the adrenochrome?
- 1:05:51Speaker 3: How long do we have to listen to this bird babble?
- 1:05:55Speaker 2: Finish up here.
- 1:05:56Speaker 5: Another way, he investigates what Socrates was accused of investigating.
- 1:06:00Speaker 2: Oh, God.
- 1:06:01Speaker 5: The things aloft and under the earth.
- 1:06:03Speaker 2: God help us.
- 1:06:03Speaker 5: The pursuit of truth.
- 1:06:05Speaker 6: Enough.
- 1:06:05Speaker 5: The interrogation of the things that in the end truly matter.
- 1:06:08Speaker 2: You're repeating yourself.
- 1:06:09Speaker 5: And God knows we need people like that now more
- 1:06:11Speaker 5: than ever.
- 1:06:12Speaker 3: Oh, boy.
- 1:06:12Speaker 5: So please join me in giving a heartfelt congratulations.
- 1:06:15Speaker 2: Get God's name out of your mouth.
- 1:06:16Speaker 5: To the singular Peter Thiel on receiving this remarkable award.
- 1:06:19Speaker 2: All right, give it up. Clap for Peter Thiel. Clap
- 1:06:21Speaker 2: for Peter Thiel. They're good friends. That's what it's about.
- 1:06:24Speaker 2: It's about friendship. Look at him. All right, get her
- 1:06:27Speaker 2: out of here. Barry Weiss. What a big disaster. What
- 1:06:32Speaker 2: a horror. What are you going to do? What are
- 1:06:35Speaker 2: you going to do?
- 1:06:39Speaker 3: Barry Weiss giving Peter Thiel, the head of CBS News,
- 1:06:43Speaker 3: she's the head of one of our legacy news networks.
- 1:06:46Speaker 3: Her boss now runs everything. Warner, the other one, Paramount, Warner, CNN.
- 1:06:52Speaker 2: I mean, you know. So this is what it's going
- 1:06:55Speaker 2: to be now.
- 1:06:56Speaker 3: You're just going to turn on the TV and it's
- 1:06:57Speaker 3: going to be Peter Thiel getting an award. It'll be
- 1:06:59Speaker 3: some tech guy getting an award about how he's built
- 1:07:02Speaker 3: a new world.
- 1:07:03Speaker 2: This is going to be the future of America.
- 1:07:05Speaker 3: It's just going to be Barry Weiss or someone of
- 1:07:08Speaker 3: that ilk going, hey, by the way, we're giving a
- 1:07:11Speaker 3: great award now to Marc Andreessen or Sam Altman's getting
- 1:07:15Speaker 3: an award.
- 1:07:16Speaker 2: A lot of people say Sam killed one of his employees.
- 1:07:20Speaker 2: But what is he? Is he a murderer or a visionary?
- 1:07:23Speaker 2: We don't know.
- 1:07:24Speaker 3: What is he?
- 1:07:26Speaker 2: We don't really know what he is.
- 1:07:27Speaker 3: We don't get it. Is Mark Zuckerberg even real? What's
- 1:07:31Speaker 3: that guy about?
- 1:07:34Speaker 2: Is he making people kill.
- 1:07:35Speaker 3: Themselves by driving negative algorithms, driving them insane with that?
- 1:07:41Speaker 2: Or is he a fun guy that likes jujitsu?
- 1:07:42Speaker 1: We don't know.
- 1:07:43Speaker 2: Isn't it wacky?
- 1:07:44Speaker 3: What a weird speech. But that's going to be the future.
- 1:07:47Speaker 3: They're just going to be like, what's this Sam Alba
- 1:07:49Speaker 3: guy about?
- 1:07:50Speaker 2: What's he about? What makes him tick?
- 1:07:56Speaker 3: You know, that's as clear a proof as any, by
- 1:07:59Speaker 3: the way, that this is a supranational government that she
- 1:08:03Speaker 3: is now a part of. Although I don't know how
- 1:08:07Speaker 3: no one else does, including the people there. But I mean,
- 1:08:10Speaker 3: it's like it's unbelievable that. to work your whole life
- 1:08:14Speaker 3: to get into that room. And then you're sitting there
- 1:08:16Speaker 3: with Barry White and you go, this is deeply mediocre
- 1:08:19Speaker 3: and like really bad. It's like babbling. It's like not
- 1:08:22Speaker 3: even collegiate level. It's like really bad. It's jumbled up.
- 1:08:27Speaker 3: It's not delivered well. It's just bad speaking. It's all
- 1:08:30Speaker 3: of the above. It's bad writing. It's bad presentation. It's like,
- 1:08:35Speaker 3: you know, amateur hour. And there's a lot of demons
- 1:08:38Speaker 3: in that room that go, I sold my soul to Satan.
- 1:08:42Speaker 3: to get in this room. I eat children to get
- 1:08:47Speaker 3: in this room and I have to sit here and
- 1:08:49Speaker 3: listen to her. I mean, this is a woman and
- 1:08:53Speaker 3: with all the respect, you know, to her, she was perfectly,
- 1:08:57Speaker 3: she should be on like Bill Moore once every four months.
- 1:09:00Speaker 3: And like, that's what she should be doing. That's what
- 1:09:02Speaker 3: she should be doing. Like on Bill Moore, you know,
- 1:09:05Speaker 3: like with a hot take, she's Bill Moore, hot take lady.
- 1:09:10Speaker 3: She's not like fucking, um, uh, fucking, um, Bilderberg group
- 1:09:16Speaker 3: speaker of the night, uh, She's fucking hot take Bill
- 1:09:20Speaker 3: Moore lady. These German billionaires are so bored.
- 1:09:27Speaker 2: Oh God.
- 1:09:28Speaker 3: What's the Peter? Is he a prophet of doom or
- 1:09:31Speaker 3: see an Orthodox Christian? He's not an Orthodox Christian.
- 1:09:35Speaker 2: That's number one. Either am I, but it's.
- 1:09:38Speaker 3: He's not that. She's like, is he humanitarian or does
- 1:09:42Speaker 3: he want to kill everyone on the planet? It's like, well,
- 1:09:43Speaker 3: no one's ever asked that question about anyone. So no
- 1:09:45Speaker 3: one who's ever been a humanitarian has said or done
- 1:09:48Speaker 3: anything like he's done.
- 1:09:49Speaker 2: I mean, it's just so funny.
- 1:09:52Speaker 3: She's like, is he this or is he that?
- 1:09:53Speaker 2: It's like, you can't ask those questions. You know what
- 1:09:55Speaker 2: I mean?
- 1:09:56Speaker 3: Is he a crackhead or the most trusting guy you
- 1:09:58Speaker 3: should trust in your house? It's like, well, no, it's
- 1:10:01Speaker 3: one of the two. There's no confusion about which extreme is.
- 1:10:07Speaker 2: Well, we love her.
- 1:10:08Speaker 3: We love people living their dream. This is what she
- 1:10:10Speaker 3: always wanted. Barry always wanted this. She always wanted to
- 1:10:13Speaker 3: be in a room like that, giving a speech like
- 1:10:15Speaker 3: that to a bunch of disinterested German tech billionaires who
- 1:10:19Speaker 3: desperately want it. And they literally don't know who she is.
- 1:10:21Speaker 3: They go, who is she again? They're at dinner going,
- 1:10:25Speaker 3: who is she? And they go, she runs CBS News.
- 1:10:27Speaker 3: They go, oh boy, interesting.
- 1:10:31Speaker 2: Here's the deal. Those people more.
- 1:10:33Speaker 3: Than anyone are invested in the establishment. They are invested
- 1:10:37Speaker 3: in the way things are supposed to work. The blue
- 1:10:39Speaker 3: blood blazer button up fucking Eastern elite, Bilderberg, Davos, WEF,
- 1:10:47Speaker 3: world economic shit. They're invested in that in a real way.
- 1:10:51Speaker 3: And she's the bitch giving the speech. They're like, what's
- 1:10:54Speaker 3: going on? They want the top tier operators and they
- 1:11:01Speaker 3: need them. Because the dam of information, I mean, it's
- 1:11:06Speaker 3: like it's breaking and the internet has made a lot
- 1:11:09Speaker 3: of people wake up and it hasn't sent all the
- 1:11:12Speaker 3: people in the right directions clearly, but a lot of
- 1:11:14Speaker 3: people are going, hey, what's going on?
- 1:11:15Speaker 2: Life doesn't make any sense.
- 1:11:18Speaker 3: And it keeps getting more expensive and it's harder and
- 1:11:19Speaker 3: it makes no sense and no one will explain to
- 1:11:21Speaker 3: me why this has to be done. But if there's
- 1:11:25Speaker 3: any group of people that is invested deeply in the
- 1:11:27Speaker 3: status quo and maintaining it, It is that group of
- 1:11:31Speaker 3: people and the fact that she is up there like
- 1:11:36Speaker 3: completely talentless is probably terrifying them because they go, we
- 1:11:42Speaker 3: need somebody at the helm who knows what they're doing. Otherwise,
- 1:11:48Speaker 3: the world order is going to fracture here. She's going
- 1:11:51Speaker 3: to fracture the world order. I'll tell you right now,
- 1:11:56Speaker 3: if the Iran war doesn't do it, she's going to
- 1:11:58Speaker 3: fracture the world order. Don't think they're not having those conversations.
- 1:12:04Speaker 3: They're in a cafe in Brussels going, what's happening? They're
- 1:12:09Speaker 3: calling the Ellisons going, what's going on here?
- 1:12:12Speaker 1: Like, what?
- 1:12:13Speaker 2: Let her host Big Brother. Get her out of the
- 1:12:15Speaker 2: CBS Evening News.
- 1:12:20Speaker 6: Ugh.
- 1:12:22Speaker 3: Folks, it's always good to be with you. We'll be
- 1:12:24Speaker 3: with you next week. Thank you so much for your time.
- 1:12:29Speaker 3: And congrats to Peter Till. Congrats on the award. You know,
- 1:12:34Speaker 3: because here's the thing. We can have our differences. As
- 1:12:35Speaker 3: Barry said, we can have our differences about Satan and
