- 3:21Speaker 3: our first day back from our cruise. We went out.
- 3:25Speaker 3: We took a little sabbatical, y'all. We went out and
- 3:29Speaker 3: we went on a carnival cruise our first time, my
- 3:35Speaker 3: first time, and my wife's first time, and a couple
- 3:38Speaker 3: other couples from our church, Fresh Wind Community Church. Just
- 3:43Speaker 3: a quick shout out to my keeps. I tell you what,
- 3:49Speaker 3: that was a lot of water And that was a
- 3:51Speaker 3: lot of water. It was a beautiful ship. We were
- 3:55Speaker 3: on the seventh deck, seventh deck, and man, you know,
- 4:00Speaker 3: you can just it was cool, man, you can. I
- 4:05Speaker 3: mean the decoration was nice. To be honest, it felt
- 4:07Speaker 3: like I was back in Las Vegas. You know. It
- 4:10Speaker 3: was decked out like a casino. It reminded me of
- 4:14Speaker 3: the Caesars Palace with the pillars and the colors and
- 4:18Speaker 3: the way it was decorated. They had a nice little
- 4:20Speaker 3: club in there, you know. You know me, I'm the
- 4:23Speaker 3: Christian club guy, you know, so I had to check
- 4:25Speaker 3: out their club and see how they got it decorated
- 4:29Speaker 3: and vibes and all that stuff, getting inspiration stuff like
- 4:33Speaker 3: that on how we want to relaunch and reopened club.
- 4:36Speaker 3: His hot and man food, Man, I'm gonna have to
- 4:40Speaker 3: do double time in the gym. We were just eating
- 4:43Speaker 3: and eating and eating. The food was great. The atmosphere
- 4:51Speaker 3: was very energetic. There's different things going on on different decks.
- 4:57Speaker 3: I went all the way up to the fifteenth deck,
- 5:00Speaker 3: which is the very top, because I wanted to see
- 5:03Speaker 3: what it looked like when we launched, to see and
- 5:08Speaker 3: just get an up top view. And you know, we
- 5:11Speaker 3: went into a catalina. We went to Mexico to Encinata
- 5:17Speaker 3: to check things out first time, and man, I'm addicted now.
- 5:22Speaker 3: We definitely want to go back. And uh man, I
- 5:25Speaker 3: was thinking about booking a Hiss Hot Nation cruise or
- 5:28Speaker 3: something like that. So if you're down for that, hit
- 5:31Speaker 3: me up in the live chat. Maybe we can get
- 5:33Speaker 3: a group deal if we do this, and then we
- 5:37Speaker 3: can start paying on it like a you know, throughout
- 5:40Speaker 3: the year, so it's not a big thing on a budget,
- 5:43Speaker 3: or maybe get a discount or something. But if you
- 5:47Speaker 3: haven't done one yet, well yes, I really really recommend it.
- 5:52Speaker 3: It was cool, it was nice. But now back in business.
- 5:57Speaker 3: This is the first podcasts coming back from the cruise.
- 6:03Speaker 3: So last week we did a lot of replays, so
- 6:08Speaker 3: I know Book of Revelation some of that probably played
- 6:13Speaker 3: while we were gone and all that, so thank you
- 6:16Speaker 3: for being patient, thank you for being faithful, Thank for
- 6:20Speaker 3: going through that. And you know now we're gonna pick
- 6:23Speaker 3: back up today. We're only is chapter thirteen. And with that,
- 6:28Speaker 3: let me pause and music so that we can pray Emily, Father,
- 6:33Speaker 3: thank you Father for another beautiful day. Father, to spend
- 6:37Speaker 3: time in your word. We ask Father God for revelation,
- 6:41Speaker 3: understanding that we will be doers of the word and
- 6:44Speaker 3: not hearers only. Father, Father God, every portion of scripture
- 6:48Speaker 3: is important. You wrote it, you want us to read it,
- 6:51Speaker 3: You want us to adjust to it, to apply it
- 6:54Speaker 3: to our lives. God forgive us God, Oh Lord, for
- 6:58Speaker 3: every year in our life, Father God, Oh Lord, that
- 7:00Speaker 3: we have not Father God, Oh Lord, been able to
- 7:03Speaker 3: bring under subjection and submission to you. Fooly, o God.
- 7:06Speaker 3: And we ask o God, that we will learn Father God,
- 7:09Speaker 3: even in this chapter, Oh God, how the authority and
- 7:13Speaker 3: how submission, Oh God, is the weight of your Kingdom
- 7:15Speaker 3: of God. And we asked for breakthrough, and we ask
- 7:18Speaker 3: God for everyone who's supposed to hear this podcast, we'll
- 7:21Speaker 3: hear it. And the name of Jesus and God's people
- 7:25Speaker 3: said amen and ay man, all right, all right, let's
- 7:32Speaker 3: get into it without any further delay. Grab your bibles,
- 7:36Speaker 3: your highlighters, and no pads. Make sure you dive into it.
- 7:40Speaker 3: Hopefully you've been reading this chapter over and over again
- 7:44Speaker 3: until you know, until now, until we're able to record
- 7:49Speaker 3: it and put it out there on here on our platform.
- 7:52Speaker 3: So when it's thirteen and we're gonna go one through two,
- 7:58Speaker 3: let every soul will be subject to the governing authorities.
- 8:05Speaker 3: But there is no authority except from God, and the
- 8:08Speaker 3: authorities that exists are appointed by God. Therefore, whoever resists
- 8:15Speaker 3: the authority resists the ordinance of God, and those who
- 8:20Speaker 3: resist will bring judgments on themselves. Hey man, well this
- 8:26Speaker 3: is good by itself, but let's break it down. Paul
- 8:30Speaker 3: is clear. God has established government as part of his
- 8:36Speaker 3: order in the world. Now, God is a god of order, right,
- 8:41Speaker 3: and some of us we want to rebel against authority,
- 8:44Speaker 3: and we know we're not going to talk politics, right,
- 8:47Speaker 3: We're not going to talk politics. We know things are
- 8:50Speaker 3: going on in our government, things that we like, things
- 8:53Speaker 3: that we may not like. Right, But God has established government.
- 9:00Speaker 3: While governments they may fail at times or become corrupt,
- 9:04Speaker 3: the structure itself is from God. The order is peace.
- 9:13Speaker 3: If we put things in order, that is how we
- 9:17Speaker 3: can produce peace in our society. That's how we can
- 9:20Speaker 3: have peaceful protests and you know, peaceful marches and things
- 9:25Speaker 3: like that. If we do things in order. Now, rebelling
- 9:27Speaker 3: against lawful authority is essentially rebelling against God's design. Now,
- 9:35Speaker 3: this can also go in other areas. Right, this can
- 9:39Speaker 3: go in the home. This is God's structure that the
- 9:43Speaker 3: husband is the authority figure in the home. The husband
- 9:48Speaker 3: is the head of the family, and he is responsible
- 9:52Speaker 3: before God for his household. You see it all through society.
- 9:57Speaker 3: You have the teacher who's in charge of the class.
- 10:01Speaker 3: You have the police officer who's in charge to keep
- 10:04Speaker 3: peace and keep order in our community. Family. This is tough.
- 10:12Speaker 3: Sometimes it could be tough. We may not agree with
- 10:16Speaker 3: leaders in the laws or the politics of the day.
- 10:21Speaker 3: But God calls us to recognize authority as his placement,
- 10:26Speaker 3: as his order that He has placed that authority. Their
- 10:29Speaker 3: obedience to God comes first, no matter what right we
- 10:36Speaker 3: are kingdom citizens. So obedience to God's authority comes first.
- 10:43Speaker 3: But disrespect and rebellion puts us in dangers spiritually and legally. Right,
- 10:50Speaker 3: we can open up doors spiritually as I think of
- 10:58Speaker 3: For Samuel or Saw disobeyed God's order to kill all
- 11:06Speaker 3: of the Amalekites in the apostle or the prophet, Samuel
- 11:12Speaker 3: came and check Saul, because Saul says, you know what,
- 11:18Speaker 3: I'm gonna sacrifice these animals that God took me to destroy.
- 11:24Speaker 3: Saw Samuel said, no, obedience is better than sacrifice. For
- 11:30Speaker 3: rebellion is as if the same thing as witchcraft. Rebellion
- 11:37Speaker 3: is something that is wicked and evils adore that could
- 11:41Speaker 3: be open to witchcraft and evil and wicked spirits. So
- 11:46Speaker 3: this is something that really needs to come under check
- 11:51Speaker 3: on our own lives. Rebellion against lawful authority is essentially
- 11:56Speaker 3: rebellion against God's design or amen. The spirit helps us
- 12:09Speaker 3: balance obedience to God with respect with earthly authority and man.
- 12:19Speaker 3: All right, let's head over to verse three and four.
- 12:25Speaker 3: For rulers are not a terror to good works but evil.
- 12:31Speaker 3: Do you want to be unafraid of the authority to
- 12:37Speaker 3: what is good? And you will have praise from the saying,
- 12:42Speaker 3: for he is God's minister to you for good. But
- 12:47Speaker 3: if you do evil, be afraid, or he does not
- 12:51Speaker 3: bear the sword in vain for he is God's minister
- 12:57Speaker 3: and avenger to exact wrath on him who practices evil. Okay,
- 13:06Speaker 3: now this is good. Government's role is to restrain evil
- 13:13Speaker 3: and to protect the innocent. Now the sword refers to justice,
- 13:21Speaker 3: even capitable capital, capitable capital punishment. Let me get my
- 13:28Speaker 3: mouth together here, even capital punishment as a deterrent, right,
- 13:36Speaker 3: as a deterrent, the death sentence death row. You know,
- 13:40Speaker 3: the world glorifies death row with death row records and
- 13:44Speaker 3: all that stuff. But it's supposed to be a deterrent
- 13:48Speaker 3: for crime, for evil. When you live uprightly, authorities should
- 13:53Speaker 3: not be feared. Now, the key is simple, live righteously.
- 14:00Speaker 3: You shouldn't have to look over our shoulders if we
- 14:04Speaker 3: walk in God's ways, But if we walk in sin,
- 14:09Speaker 3: authority becomes our enemy. God uses authority as a minister
- 14:16Speaker 3: for good. Heymen, God will use authority as a minister
- 14:25Speaker 3: for good.
- 14:28Speaker 2: It looks like you lost another one.
- 14:33Speaker 3: Okay, Now let's go five and six. Therefore you must
- 14:44Speaker 3: be subject not only because of wrath, but also for
- 14:49Speaker 3: conscious sake. But because of this you also pay taxes.
- 14:56Speaker 3: For they are God's ministers attending continue to this very thing.
- 15:03Speaker 3: Render therefore to all, they're due taxes to whom taxes
- 15:07Speaker 3: are due, customs to whom customs fear, to whom fear honor,
- 15:15Speaker 3: to whom honor. Now, let's break this down, Paul. Paul
- 15:19Speaker 3: calls us to live in integrity, even in practical things
- 15:26Speaker 3: like paying our taxes. Submission is not only to avoid punishment,
- 15:34Speaker 3: but for conscience sake before God. Did you catch that
- 15:42Speaker 3: so that we can have a good conscience before God.
- 15:48Speaker 3: It's hard to serve God with a guilty conscience. It
- 15:52Speaker 3: is it's difficult to come before him. I've been there,
- 15:56Speaker 3: I've done that. There's been areas where I've struggled with
- 15:58Speaker 3: and I'm feeling guilty, and you know, so it's a
- 16:07Speaker 3: blessing to be able to confess and forsake sin. Amen,
- 16:11Speaker 3: and to because we want to be people of integrity.
- 16:15Speaker 3: We want to do things God's way. We don't want
- 16:18Speaker 3: to hurt his heart, We don't want to play with
- 16:20Speaker 3: his grace because one day that grace can run out.
- 16:25Speaker 3: The Bible says that God will not strive, will man
- 16:29Speaker 3: strive with men continually? Right, the grace could potentially run out,
- 16:39Speaker 3: And so Amen, we need to constantly examine ourselves and
- 16:50Speaker 3: do what is right in the eyes of our heavenly Father. Amen.
- 16:59Speaker 3: No Christian testimony shines if we cheat, dodge responsibility, or
- 17:06Speaker 3: dishonor leaders. Even paying taxes can be an act of
- 17:11Speaker 3: obedience to God. Jesus said, rendered to Caesar the things
- 17:16Speaker 3: that are Caesar's and to God the things that are God's. Amen.
- 17:23Speaker 3: When we do believe in tithing, we do believe in
- 17:25Speaker 3: first fruits of our increase and giving an offering. And
- 17:32Speaker 3: I do, I say, I will say this, I hate
- 17:38Speaker 3: asking for help. I do. I've always been independent. I've
- 17:42Speaker 3: always been able to if I needed extra money or
- 17:45Speaker 3: stuff like that, I can go and put in some
- 17:49Speaker 3: extra time, get some overtime, or sell some stuff, or
- 17:52Speaker 3: get some side things going. And part of my testimony
- 17:58Speaker 3: with Club hiss Hop, one of the reasons why we
- 18:01Speaker 3: had to close the club, the physical club, was because
- 18:07Speaker 3: my partner actually stole some money and I worked a
- 18:13Speaker 3: lot over time, and I was able to keep the
- 18:17Speaker 3: club going for probably like three years on my own.
- 18:22Speaker 3: You know, I started out with a partner. We shared
- 18:25Speaker 3: the financial responsibilities together, and you know, you know how
- 18:31Speaker 3: things happen. You know, I'm gonna write a book and
- 18:33Speaker 3: put all the details out, but there's some disagreement, and
- 18:38Speaker 3: because of that, he withheld money from me, and so
- 18:41Speaker 3: I put in over time. And now I got in
- 18:44Speaker 3: trouble with taxes and God has helped me and it
- 18:48Speaker 3: is still helping me with some of those issues. But
- 18:56Speaker 3: I realized that and when I do ask for donations
- 19:02Speaker 3: or support, even on this podcast, it's a blessing to you.
- 19:08Speaker 3: And that's what kind of encouraged me to continue to
- 19:11Speaker 3: mention it, to let the need be known. Right, the
- 19:15Speaker 3: Bible says we have not because we ask not, is
- 19:18Speaker 3: because it's a blessing to you. Once you tie and
- 19:21Speaker 3: once you give, God the worst says it's better to
- 19:24Speaker 3: give than to receive. He says, when you withhold your finances,
- 19:28Speaker 3: it's a curse. There's a curse on your finances. There's
- 19:33Speaker 3: holes in your pockets, your money doesn't stretch as far
- 19:38Speaker 3: as you would like it to, and there's the there'll
- 19:41Speaker 3: be financial problems and things like that. So I want
- 19:44Speaker 3: to bless people financially by saying, you know what, give
- 19:50Speaker 3: to good Ground. You know what I mean, support our nonprofit,
- 19:53Speaker 3: you know, go give a you know, five dollars, two
- 19:57Speaker 3: dollars whatever, you know, I get, you know, I pay
- 20:00Speaker 3: my tithes, I give offering, I support Israel one for
- 20:06Speaker 3: Israel Ministry monthly, different things like that. And I know
- 20:11Speaker 3: God's hand and his grace has been on my finances.
- 20:14Speaker 3: I wish I could say I've always been a giver,
- 20:17Speaker 3: I've always given faithfully, or you know, I've been there
- 20:20Speaker 3: until I've missed here and there, and you know I've repented,
- 20:24Speaker 3: and you know I regret it, But that's not my heart.
- 20:26Speaker 3: I believe in giving, and there's a blessing to that.
- 20:32Speaker 3: And so give unto Caesar the things that are Caesar's
- 20:35Speaker 3: and unto God the things that are God's, and watch
- 20:40Speaker 3: the blessings come. Amen. This is his order. And also
- 20:45Speaker 3: giving will protect our hearts from greed and all other things,
- 20:49Speaker 3: the love of money and all that stuff. If we're
- 20:51Speaker 3: givern generous, it helps combat those other things to where
- 20:56Speaker 3: we're not serving money, we're not serving men and things
- 21:00Speaker 3: like that. So there's so many blessings involved in that,
- 21:05Speaker 3: all right, Romans eight through ten, Verse eight through ten,
- 21:12Speaker 3: Chapter thirteen. If you're just now tuning in, when Romans
- 21:15Speaker 3: chapter thirteen, and now we're at verse eight, and it
- 21:20Speaker 3: says Oh, no man anything except to love one another.
- 21:26Speaker 3: He who loves another has fulfilled the law. Love does
- 21:31Speaker 3: not harm, Love does no harm to a neighbor. Therefore,
- 21:38Speaker 3: love is the fulfillment of the law. Now, if you
- 21:42Speaker 3: check this out, right, on, no one anything except to
- 21:51Speaker 3: love one another. So that means we should pay our taxes,
- 21:57Speaker 3: we should pay our customs. Right, we just went to Mexico.
- 22:02Speaker 3: I mean there is no customs were really had to pay.
- 22:05Speaker 3: To be honest, I don't know much about customs, but
- 22:08Speaker 3: the Bible mentions customs, pay customs, pay our taxes, pay honor,
- 22:14Speaker 3: give God. What is God's owe? No me and nothing
- 22:18Speaker 3: but one thing we need to continuously. Oh it's love. Right,
- 22:23Speaker 3: that's one thing that God wants us to always walk into. Now,
- 22:28Speaker 3: love's love will sum up the law. If you look
- 22:32Speaker 3: at the law, the Old Testament law, the Ten Commandments,
- 22:36Speaker 3: and the scriptures. All the commandments in the Bible is
- 22:40Speaker 3: summed up with love. If you truly love others, you
- 22:45Speaker 3: will not steal from them, you will not lie to them.
- 22:48Speaker 3: You're not gonna covet what they have. You'll do no
- 22:51Speaker 3: harm to those who need love. Love becomes the guiding
- 22:56Speaker 3: principle of Christian life life. Now, debt can bind us,
- 23:04Speaker 3: but love frees us. Let me say that again, debt
- 23:08Speaker 3: can bind us up, love itself will free us. Or
- 23:16Speaker 3: only ongoing debt our, only ugoing debt should be loved.
- 23:26Speaker 3: We should pay everything else, but our only ungoing debt
- 23:29Speaker 3: should be loved. Family love is not optional. It's our
- 23:34Speaker 3: continual calling. Right, We're not gonna make it if we
- 23:40Speaker 3: don't have love, if we're not walking in love. The
- 23:44Speaker 3: law says do no wrong, but love goes further. It
- 23:49Speaker 3: actually seeks the good of others. Love is positive, the
- 23:56Speaker 3: law is negative. Right, don't do this, don't do that.
- 24:00Speaker 3: When Jesus came, he said, do unto others, as though
- 24:04Speaker 3: you would want them to do unto you. Amen. All right,
- 24:09Speaker 3: let's go through eleven and twelve. And if you notice,
- 24:14Speaker 3: you know I'm picking out highlighted scriptures, let me know
- 24:18Speaker 3: in the life chat which way you prefer, if you
- 24:22Speaker 3: prefer me to read the fools scriptures, because I do
- 24:29Speaker 3: that as well, or if you know if you like
- 24:34Speaker 3: the style I'm doing now, I'm just I don't know,
- 24:36Speaker 3: just a side thought. And plus I want activity in
- 24:39Speaker 3: life chat. So all right, and it says, do this
- 24:45Speaker 3: knowing the time that now it is high time to
- 24:50Speaker 3: wake out of sleep. Now our salvation is nearer than
- 24:54Speaker 3: when we first believe. Man, that verse can be can
- 24:59Speaker 3: be more true? Were down the days that we're living in.
- 25:04Speaker 3: I always say part of my testimony was that I
- 25:07Speaker 3: was fifteen and a half. It's about ready to turn
- 25:11Speaker 3: sixteen when I received the Lord, and I've seen a
- 25:13Speaker 3: lot since then. I'm not a teenager anymore, but over
- 25:19Speaker 3: the years I've seen the signs of the times, like
- 25:24Speaker 3: we are really at the threshold of the Lord coming back,
- 25:29Speaker 3: and man, so we are really our redemption is really
- 25:32Speaker 3: near right now. So now's the time to get right.
- 25:36Speaker 3: Even after church, one of our our teenagers was asking,
- 25:41Speaker 3: you know, can anyone predict when the Lord is going
- 25:47Speaker 3: to return because there's a lot of stuff online, there's
- 25:50Speaker 3: a lot of stuff flowing around where people are saying
- 25:52Speaker 3: the rapture is going to happen in September. You know,
- 25:57Speaker 3: this is September right now, the month we just just
- 26:02Speaker 3: getting back from our cruise. You know, we're in the
- 26:07Speaker 3: month of September, and the Bible says no one can
- 26:10Speaker 3: know the day or hour, but we can look at
- 26:15Speaker 3: the seasons and the signs of the times, and we
- 26:19Speaker 3: can always look at the nation of Israel and get
- 26:23Speaker 3: some clues as far as God's time clock and the
- 26:30Speaker 3: things that are going to take place. But the Bible
- 26:34Speaker 3: never really gives us the time, because He wants us
- 26:37Speaker 3: always to be in a state of readiness. Every day
- 26:41Speaker 3: we should be ready for the Lord's return. Amen, the
- 26:50Speaker 3: night is far spent, the day is at hand. Therefore,
- 26:54Speaker 3: let us cast off the works of darkness and let
- 26:58Speaker 3: us put on the armor of life. The early Church
- 27:03Speaker 3: expected Christ returned to come soon. It was always every
- 27:08Speaker 3: generation thought Christ would come in their generation, and God
- 27:13Speaker 3: set that up on purpose. Now, Paul reminds us, each
- 27:16Speaker 3: day brings us closer. This urgency should stir us from
- 27:22Speaker 3: spiritual slumber, can sleep right from laziness. There should be
- 27:29Speaker 3: an urgency in us about our walk with the Lord.
- 27:33Speaker 3: So wake up, family. We can't afford to coast through life. Yeah,
- 27:40Speaker 3: I just went on the cruise, but that was just
- 27:43Speaker 3: for a couple of days. Right, That's not reality. That's
- 27:47Speaker 3: not real life. This life, this world is a battlefield.
- 27:51Speaker 3: Every day draws us closer to eternity, even if the
- 27:56Speaker 3: Lord doesn't come back tomorrow is not promised to neither
- 27:59Speaker 3: one of us. So I thank God for every time
- 28:03Speaker 3: I do wake up, there's another day for me to
- 28:06Speaker 3: get right, another chance to reach somebody else. And that's
- 28:11Speaker 3: the purpose of our podcast. We believe that the ingrafted
- 28:15Speaker 3: word is able to save our souls, and so we
- 28:19Speaker 3: want to reach unbelievers, and we want to reach those
- 28:22Speaker 3: who do believe but are wayward in their walk. You
- 28:27Speaker 3: can still go to hell even if you go to church,
- 28:31Speaker 3: and even if you're in ministry. If you come complacent,
- 28:36Speaker 3: become complacement, complacent, complacement, complacent in your walk with the Lord. Amen.
- 28:44Speaker 3: The armor of light means living openly, honestly, without hidden sin. Amen. Hallelujah.
- 28:53Speaker 3: No more night life of sin because the King is coming. Hallelujah.
- 29:05Speaker 3: All right, We're gonna go through thirteen and fourteen. Let
- 29:09Speaker 3: us walk properly as the day, not in revelie or drunkenness,
- 29:16Speaker 3: not in lewdness or lust, not in strife and envy.
- 29:24Speaker 3: Put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision
- 29:29Speaker 3: for the flesh to fulfill its lust. Christians are called
- 29:36Speaker 3: to live sober, holy and peaceful lives, to put on
- 29:42Speaker 3: Christ and to let is to let his nature clothe
- 29:48Speaker 3: and cover us, rejoicing in this opportunity and rejecting every
- 29:58Speaker 3: time sin presents itself. Hey man, we need to rejoice
- 30:02Speaker 3: that we even have the opportunity to put on Christ.
- 30:06Speaker 3: It is a privileged for the believer that a lot
- 30:10Speaker 3: of believers are not even aware of or they're not
- 30:13Speaker 3: taking advantage of. We need to put on Christ every
- 30:18Speaker 3: single day. That's one of my prayers is that I
- 30:22Speaker 3: put on Christ and I put off the old man. Remember,
- 30:26Speaker 3: we are to walk in the spirit. God calls us
- 30:32Speaker 3: to walk in the spirit and not according to our flesh. Amen.
- 30:42Speaker 3: We're called to live holy in sober lives. The flesh
- 30:45Speaker 3: will always want to feed. It's like a zombie. Think
- 30:50Speaker 3: of it as a zombie, right, always looking for brains, right,
- 30:54Speaker 3: always looking to feed on flesh. But don't set the
- 31:01Speaker 3: table for it. Don't set the table for our flesh.
- 31:05Speaker 3: And what do I mean by that? We want to
- 31:07Speaker 3: look at dirty movies and appropriate things. We want to lust.
- 31:13Speaker 3: Let our eyes wander. Amen, And when you learn to
- 31:18Speaker 3: live in the spirit, you will know that you cannot
- 31:20Speaker 3: defeat your flesh. You have to submit and surrender the
- 31:25Speaker 3: battle to the Holy Spirit. We gotta tell the Holy Spirit,
- 31:29Speaker 3: I want to look at this. I want to look
- 31:31Speaker 3: at that girl who is half dressed the Holy Spirit.
- 31:36Speaker 3: I surrender this desire over to you and allow the
- 31:40Speaker 3: Lord to fight that battle for us. Only the Spirit
- 31:43Speaker 3: can put our flesh in check, but instead clothe yourself
- 31:48Speaker 3: with Christ. So I put off my flesh, and then
- 31:52Speaker 3: I put on Christ. I put on the new Man,
- 31:55Speaker 3: the new nature. This is something great to do in
- 31:57Speaker 3: your prayer, life Him on, in your thoughts, your actions,
- 32:02Speaker 3: in your words. When Christ covers us, sin loses its grip.
- 32:09Speaker 3: Let me say that again. When we are clothed in
- 32:12Speaker 3: Christ and we're put on Christ, sin itself will lose
- 32:19Speaker 3: its grip. It will lose its authority and its power
- 32:23Speaker 3: over our lives. Amen. That is a privilege and a
- 32:28Speaker 3: blessing of being a child other king. Hallelujah, hallelujah. Well,
- 32:41Speaker 3: at this time, what we're gonna go ahead and do
- 32:43Speaker 3: is We're gonna go ahead and get us a quick
- 32:47Speaker 3: music break. I'm gonna hit y'all in the head with
- 32:52Speaker 3: some music and then I will be right back y'all. Amen,
- 32:59Speaker 3: and a man, let's do this show.
- 33:12Speaker 4: You are listening to the light of Las Vegas. This
- 33:16Speaker 4: is the hiss Hop radio show.

- 35:36Speaker 5: I don't know.
- 35:46Speaker 4: You are listening to the lights of Las Vegas. This
- 35:50Speaker 4: is the Hiss Hop Radio show.
- 35:59Speaker 3: And I Am Bad. There was one KPU with let
- 36:03Speaker 3: Go and let God. This is a very appropriate song
- 36:10Speaker 3: for the topic today. We're talking about walking in order,
- 36:16Speaker 3: walking in obedience, walking honoring the authorities that God has established.
- 36:24Speaker 3: You know, growing up, it seemed like it was the
- 36:27Speaker 3: cool kids. It was a cool thing to buck against
- 36:29Speaker 3: the system, be disobedient to our teachers, disobedient to our parents,
- 36:36Speaker 3: disobedient to our government, especially if your guy is not
- 36:41Speaker 3: in the office. Right, it's getting more and more divided
- 36:46Speaker 3: in our nation. And growing up, it wasn't like that
- 36:51Speaker 3: we had our disagreements where we still respected the office.
- 36:57Speaker 3: Especially in church, people do not respect pastors and leaders
- 37:03Speaker 3: and ministers. And you know, sometimes authority can mess up, right,
- 37:09Speaker 3: authority can mess up, But God still wants us to
- 37:12Speaker 3: honor that authority as long as it doesn't go against
- 37:16Speaker 3: our conscious as far as as long as we're not
- 37:19Speaker 3: violating the word of God itself. We still need order
- 37:24Speaker 3: in our community. Amen. All right, now it's time for
- 37:30Speaker 3: the accountability partner segment. The accountability partner is a part
- 37:37Speaker 3: of the discipleship. Jesus said, go and make Disciples of
- 37:40Speaker 3: all Nations, and I do work with brothers. I try
- 37:46Speaker 3: to stick with brothers at this point, but I mean,
- 37:49Speaker 3: we do have help for our sisters as well. There's
- 37:52Speaker 3: something in your life that you're struggling with, is good
- 37:55Speaker 3: to get with someone that can pray with you, that
- 37:58Speaker 3: can walk with you. It's good to have a mentor.
- 38:01Speaker 3: And as well as it's good to have a mentee,
- 38:05Speaker 3: someone that you're pouring into you know, it's good to
- 38:08Speaker 3: have a pall in your life. And it's good to
- 38:09Speaker 3: have a Timothy. That's a that's a healthy thing because
- 38:14Speaker 3: sometimes we're we have blind spots, you know. And sometimes
- 38:19Speaker 3: my wife gets frustrated with me because she'll try to
- 38:23Speaker 3: tell me something and at first I don't see it
- 38:26Speaker 3: or I'm not quick to jump on it. Then I
- 38:29Speaker 3: hear confirmation from somewhere else, and she's like, I already
- 38:32Speaker 3: told you this, right, yeah, yeah, I got I got
- 38:36Speaker 3: accountability built into my wife, you know what I mean. So,
- 38:42Speaker 3: but it's good to have that. We're supposed to have
- 38:44Speaker 3: people that will help us as far as iron sharpening iron.
- 38:49Speaker 3: They're supposed to be there to help us because the
- 38:52Speaker 3: enemy wants us to isolate from ourselves. You know, this
- 38:57Speaker 3: is something that teenagers are known for. They want to
- 39:00Speaker 3: don't let your teenager to isolate themselves because the enemy
- 39:04Speaker 3: is definitely working behind the scenes. No, we're better when
- 39:08Speaker 3: we're a pack, when we come together as one. That's
- 39:13Speaker 3: why we need the fellowship of the church. Hey man,
- 39:19Speaker 3: how can we obey this if we're not even submitted
- 39:23Speaker 3: to a pastor or a leader. And you know, to
- 39:26Speaker 3: be honest, this is a miracle that I'm even talking
- 39:30Speaker 3: this way because if you know my testimony, I've been
- 39:34Speaker 3: hurt in a church. I've been violated by a pastor. Right,
- 39:39Speaker 3: I'm have to write this in a book to where
- 39:42Speaker 3: I could have walked away from all of this, but
- 39:46Speaker 3: I knew to keep my eyes on God. And yes
- 39:50Speaker 3: I fell, I stumbled, but I was able to get
- 39:52Speaker 3: back up behind that. And so yes, we do need
- 39:56Speaker 3: a healthy balance of submitting to leadership and authority as
- 40:02Speaker 3: long as it's godly and biblical. Amen. And so call
- 40:07Speaker 3: your accountability partner today. Well, first of all, go to
- 40:12Speaker 3: the app his Outrato on all platforms. Go to the
- 40:17Speaker 3: top left menu, drop down to podcasts, click on my
- 40:22Speaker 3: podcast his High Radio, and scroll down to the accountability
- 40:26Speaker 3: partner forum. Fill it out, go over something great to
- 40:29Speaker 3: do on a daily basis, just to do a self
- 40:33Speaker 3: check and your walk with God. Fill out the form
- 40:35Speaker 3: if you want us to reach out to you, to
- 40:38Speaker 3: pray with you, to counsel you and to help you,
- 40:41Speaker 3: and even if you want us to read your struggle
- 40:46Speaker 3: or talk about it here on the podcast so others
- 40:49Speaker 3: can hear about it. And that's the real purpose, is
- 40:52Speaker 3: that others can hear your victory and your testimony who
- 40:56Speaker 3: could be struggling with the same thing, and they get hope,
- 41:00Speaker 3: they have their faith strengthen to know that they're not
- 41:03Speaker 3: by themselves, that we can do this together. Amen. That
- 41:07Speaker 3: is a part of it as well. So at this point,
- 41:13Speaker 3: ask yourself, am I awake spiritually or am I drifting
- 41:19Speaker 3: asleep this week? Find an accountability partner to check in with,
- 41:26Speaker 3: and they want to check with you on an area
- 41:30Speaker 3: where your flesh tries to dominate you, whatever area that is,
- 41:35Speaker 3: or your flesh wants to rise up and have a feast. Now,
- 41:39Speaker 3: pray together, encourage each other and stay armored up in
- 41:44Speaker 3: the lights. Amen, hallelujah. Like I said myself or one
- 41:50Speaker 3: of my team members, we're available. We want to connect
- 41:53Speaker 3: with you now. We want to go to some hh
- 41:59Speaker 3: trivia h trivia. The question is who is the first
- 42:04Speaker 3: Christian hip hop artist to chart on the Billboard's Hot

- 42:16Speaker 3: to chart on the Billboards Hot one hundred? All right,
- 42:24Speaker 3: and also community, shout out big love to everyone tuning
- 42:29Speaker 3: in live and everyone who is wrapping His Hot Nation

- 47:24Speaker 3: I want to just wrap up Roumans thirteen. We stopped.
- 47:29Speaker 3: We're gonna pick it back up on our next episode.
- 47:33Speaker 3: We didn't do the whole chapter yet. Let us know
- 47:36Speaker 3: if you like this style. If you want me to
- 47:38Speaker 3: go ahead and read the whole chapter and then go
- 47:40Speaker 3: over the key verses, let me know what you prefer.
- 47:45Speaker 3: We can do it all Amen, through Christ who strengthens us.
- 47:51Speaker 3: All right, Well, Rumors thirteen, remember walk in love, stay awake,
- 47:59Speaker 3: and put on Christ. Right, and then repeat, walk in love,
- 48:06Speaker 3: stay awake, don't fall asleep, and put on Christ. And
- 48:10Speaker 3: we need help through the Holy Spirit. It's not cool
- 48:14Speaker 3: to be rebellious, to rebel against your parents, to rebel
- 48:18Speaker 3: against your teachers, is not cool to be disorderly. The
- 48:24Speaker 3: Bible tells us to obey our parents, which is the
- 48:31Speaker 3: first commandment, with promise, so that it could be long,
- 48:34Speaker 3: you can live long upon the earth. God does not
- 48:37Speaker 3: play with this amen. So let's respect authority and remember
- 48:46Speaker 3: David right, Remember David how David, even though Saul was
- 48:52Speaker 3: trying to kill him. On a constant basis, David says,
- 48:56Speaker 3: I will not put a hand on the Lord's anointed.
- 49:00Speaker 3: God sees everything he sees an injustice. Allow God to
- 49:04Speaker 3: fight your battles. Allow God to deal with these leaders.
- 49:08Speaker 3: We don't have to fight the cops. We don't have
- 49:10Speaker 3: to go against them, you know, out of order. There's
- 49:14Speaker 3: a way to do it. You know, there's a way.
- 49:16Speaker 3: There's to make complaints and stuff like that. But we
- 49:20Speaker 3: don't have to take the matter in our own hands.
- 49:24Speaker 3: Allow God to fight our battles. Remember Dello that app
