- 0:00Speaker 1: Wow, hey, everybody, welcome to another edition of the NFL
- 0:13Speaker 1: Fantasy Football Show. It's me your man, MG, Marcus Grand
- 0:16Speaker 1: joined by Michael F. Florio and Lakwan Jones.
- 0:18Speaker 2: The quiet.
- 0:19Speaker 1: I'm assuming that the Rams are Are they playing a
- 0:21Speaker 1: game this week? Oh yeah, oh oh absolutely, man, we're outside.
- 0:25Speaker 1: We're barking, man and beat those forty winers. You already notivies, Marcus.
- 0:28Speaker 1: I'll start the show off like this, man, Come on,
- 0:30Speaker 1: come on, where's the hammer?
- 0:31Speaker 2: No Molnier, Oh no, Monier makes you appearance there close by.
- 0:37Speaker 2: You already know. We got a whole lot to get
- 0:39Speaker 2: into for the show today.
- 0:40Speaker 1: We'll give you starts and sins for week five, plus
- 0:42Speaker 1: some running backs to watch in the primetime matchups. Not
- 0:45Speaker 1: to mention bold predictions for the weekend, but of course
- 0:48Speaker 1: gonna get heavy into these starts and sits, which you
- 0:51Speaker 1: can always check them out at NFL dot com slash
- 0:53Speaker 1: starts sid Michael Floya puts those together every week. So
- 0:56Speaker 1: let's start with the quarterbacks.
- 0:57Speaker 2: Who your starts? Who are your sits for Week five?
- 1:00Speaker 2: I think Justin Fields is an absolute must start in
- 1:03Speaker 2: this one. I think Justin Herbert all one concerns at all.
- 1:06Speaker 2: I think this could be a back and forth, higher
- 1:08Speaker 2: scoring game with Jayden on the other side. Don't call
- 1:11Speaker 2: me at Homer Drake may. I know the Bills have
- 1:13Speaker 2: allowed the fewest passing yards in the NFL, but that
- 1:16Speaker 2: to me feels a little bit of who they have played.
- 1:19Speaker 2: Plus they allow the most rushing yards to quarterbacks. Jared
- 1:23Speaker 2: Goff because the Lions, if they want to put up
- 1:24Speaker 2: one hundred this week, I think they can. And then
- 1:27Speaker 2: Daniel Jones. My theory with him is you play him
- 1:29Speaker 2: when he's not going to be under pressure. And the
- 1:31Speaker 2: Raiders despite having Max Crosby having created a ton of
- 1:34Speaker 2: pressure this year, and in my sis, Trevor mid Lawrence
- 1:39Speaker 2: because I think the nicknames speaks for itself. Carson Wentz
- 1:43Speaker 2: it was all in ketchup mode last week, and I
- 1:45Speaker 2: don't think that'll be the case against the Browns. And
- 1:47Speaker 2: then Geno Smith. It's it's been a rough start of
- 1:50Speaker 2: the year for Gino Smith.
- 1:52Speaker 1: He's throwing it a lot. He's also throwing it to
- 1:54Speaker 1: the other team a lot. Yeah, which is not good.
- 1:56Speaker 1: I'm no football genius, but you want to throw it
- 1:58Speaker 1: to the guys who were in the same jersey as you.
- 2:00Speaker 2: General someone in our comments. I did see he was like,
- 2:03Speaker 2: who's Gino Smith's brother on the show? And I'm like, yeah,
- 2:06Speaker 2: his hair in his back. It's just you know, like
- 2:09Speaker 2: I can't I can't see it. At this point, I
- 2:11Speaker 2: just I just back.
- 2:12Speaker 1: I can't, I can't get away. I grew my hair out,
- 2:15Speaker 1: Gino grew his hair out.
- 2:17Speaker 2: So this is just is what it is.
- 2:19Speaker 3: Uh.
- 2:19Speaker 1: Anyway, let's talk about some of the guys that Florio
- 2:22Speaker 1: just mentioned in his start and sit list.
- 2:24Speaker 2: Drake May, I don't remember you.
- 2:26Speaker 1: Were you on the Drake May trade at the start
- 2:27Speaker 1: of the year of the quater? Did you come on later?
- 2:29Speaker 1: But either way, are you are you on board now
- 2:32Speaker 1: with Drake May?
- 2:34Speaker 2: I came on later because last season was.
- 2:35Speaker 3: Kind of rough, man like. He averaged one hundred and
- 2:38Speaker 3: seventy five passing yards per game. It was got awful
- 2:40Speaker 3: with a ton of turnovers. But this season, this boy
- 2:43Speaker 3: is balling man two plus touchdowns in the last three weeks.
- 2:46Speaker 3: Rushing upside is not as high as I expected, but
- 2:49Speaker 3: he is making up for it by dropping touchdowns in
- 2:51Speaker 3: the end zone. So I do like Drake May this week,
- 2:54Speaker 3: Like Florio said, I mean the Bill's defense is good,
- 2:57Speaker 3: but I do think it's based on who they play
- 3:00Speaker 3: at quarterback. This is their biggest threat at the quarterback
- 3:02Speaker 3: position this week, especially somebody that's mobile where the Bills
- 3:05Speaker 3: are struggling to stop the run. So I do think
- 3:08Speaker 3: Drake May is a strong play for me because this
- 3:10Speaker 3: guy is completing the ball because guess what, he is
- 3:12Speaker 3: leading the lead and completion percentage. I did not see
- 3:15Speaker 3: this coming, guys.
- 3:17Speaker 1: I will correct you on one thing. I mean, they
- 3:18Speaker 1: did play Lamar Jackson, you know, like, so they faced
- 3:22Speaker 1: some that's.
- 3:23Speaker 2: The only good one. Well, I will say Justin I
- 3:25Speaker 2: think Justin Fields, I'm not going to disparage him by
- 3:28Speaker 2: any stretch. And the Bills that shut him down, are you,
- 3:30Speaker 2: I mean, are you?
- 3:31Speaker 1: Are you trying to pretend that that Drake May is
- 3:34Speaker 1: better than Lamar Jackson?
- 3:35Speaker 2: Is that what we're doing?
- 3:36Speaker 3: Don't do that, Marcus No Jackson, Like what are we doing?
- 3:42Speaker 2: Okay? Right now? Right now?
- 3:45Speaker 3: This is the biggest thread they're dealing with this week,
- 3:47Speaker 3: because I do think Drake May is going to surprise
- 3:49Speaker 3: a lot of folks this week, Like people are still
- 3:50Speaker 3: looking down on him, like this dude is a top
- 3:53Speaker 3: ten quarterback this season?
- 3:54Speaker 2: Stop talking down. I'm a May believer.
- 3:58Speaker 1: Like, I just wanted to clarify what you're recasing than Lamar.
- 4:04Speaker 2: He's not both in Lamar Jackson. No, he reminds me
- 4:07Speaker 2: of young Josh Allen maybe in the future. I just
- 4:09Speaker 2: wanted to clear that up.
- 4:10Speaker 1: Like, I'm just trying to help you so that I'm
- 4:12Speaker 1: helping you so that the fantasy streets don't come after
- 4:15Speaker 1: you about this, right, I'm doing you a favor.
- 4:18Speaker 2: Are we still doing the Josh Allen two point oho?
- 4:20Speaker 2: The two point zero Josh Allen with Drake May? I
- 4:23Speaker 2: watched him a lot, Drake May, and I'm always like,
- 4:25Speaker 2: he looks like he looks right now. I think a
- 4:28Speaker 2: lot like year two Josh Allen, where he has the
- 4:32Speaker 2: skill set he's starting to take come end of the offense,
- 4:34Speaker 2: but there's still like a player to a game where
- 4:36Speaker 2: you're like, what were you thinking?
- 4:38Speaker 1: Dude?
- 4:39Speaker 2: Josh Allen had a lot of that early in his
- 4:41Speaker 2: career too.
- 4:42Speaker 1: I mean, look, if the development continues, then I think
- 4:45Speaker 1: we're all for it here in Fantasy. On the s
- 4:48Speaker 1: side of things, Lawan, would you like to bring out
- 4:50Speaker 1: the mid ometer?
- 4:52Speaker 3: Yes, we are probably gonna have to retire this because
- 4:57Speaker 3: this seems like he's not.
- 4:59Speaker 2: We can't retire it for two more weeks.
- 5:01Speaker 1: Didn't always say sindown, but that was at it because
- 5:05Speaker 1: it was just like, what is this guy doing?
- 5:07Speaker 2: And obviously he's going to be a sit until further notice.
- 5:09Speaker 3: I honestly think he is nearing like the drop zone,
- 5:13Speaker 3: Like I don't understand why people are still rostering Trevor
- 5:15Speaker 3: Mid Lawrence right now or he low we should be
- 5:18Speaker 3: calling him, because I don't think he's played mid. He's
- 5:20Speaker 3: just been playing just bad. So I don't understand why
- 5:23Speaker 3: folks are still rostering this guy. So having him as
- 5:26Speaker 3: a sit, he needs to sit on the wire until
- 5:28Speaker 3: further notice, until we see life coming from Duvall.
- 5:31Speaker 2: We I will say, though, you can't retire the board
- 5:34Speaker 2: for at least two more weeks because week seven wake
- 5:37Speaker 2: up bright and early in London we get Rams Jags
- 5:41Speaker 2: and like how toxic this guy is? You gotta play.
- 5:43Speaker 1: You have to play the Jaguars on their home turf
- 5:45Speaker 1: in London, Like I don't know, man, the Jaguars in
- 5:47Speaker 1: London are a different animal, no pun intended, like they
- 5:50Speaker 1: are different.
- 5:51Speaker 2: That is home, that is home for them, so.
- 5:53Speaker 1: Like, you know, you really might be walking into a
- 5:55Speaker 1: hornet's nest in a couple of weeks.
- 5:57Speaker 2: It's fine. We always make the home team. James feel disappointed.
- 6:02Speaker 2: That's gonna show up like a red phone booth or
- 6:04Speaker 2: something like that. I have like he's gonna have.
- 6:07Speaker 1: Something planned looking forward to seeing that one. Let's move
- 6:11Speaker 1: our attention to the running backs. Floya, who are your
- 6:13Speaker 1: starts and sits for the week.
- 6:15Speaker 2: I think Alvin Kamara. I know he's had a couple
- 6:17Speaker 2: of down games, and Kendre Miller's getting more involved, but
- 6:20Speaker 2: it's the Giants. David Montgomery. Last week was awful, but
- 6:24Speaker 2: this week they get the Bengals. They're gonna do whatever
- 6:26Speaker 2: they want against them. Camp Scattabo thirteen or more Fantasy
- 6:29Speaker 2: points in three straight inning, absolutely fed volume. And then again,
- 6:33Speaker 2: don't call me a homer Stevenson and Traveon Henderson because
- 6:36Speaker 2: the Bills have get ran all over this year and
- 6:39Speaker 2: they allow runs of ten plus yards nearly one out
- 6:42Speaker 2: of every five carries to running backs. And then the
- 6:44Speaker 2: sis Chase Brown another tough matchup for him. I think
- 6:47Speaker 2: that O line is just dragging everyone down there at
- 6:50Speaker 2: starting him right now is hoping for catches in catchup
- 6:53Speaker 2: mode Jordan Mason because the Browns defense is the best
- 6:56Speaker 2: run defense in the league, and I I don't know
- 7:00Speaker 2: if you could bank on him getting catches with Xavier
- 7:02Speaker 2: Scott breaking out last week in that role. Tony Pollard,
- 7:06Speaker 2: he's getting volume, he's not doing anything with it right
- 7:08Speaker 2: now fantasy wise. Isaiah Pacheco, I know last week was fun,
- 7:12Speaker 2: but because he scored a touchdown, but they're using three
- 7:16Speaker 2: backs now and that is I think last week was
- 7:18Speaker 2: actually a step back for Pacheco, even though it was
- 7:20Speaker 2: his best fantasy game. And then Zach Sharboney. He outscored
- 7:23Speaker 2: Kenneth Walker last week, but the Bucks have low key
- 7:26Speaker 2: been really good against the run this season. Zach Scharboney's
- 7:29Speaker 2: greatest value is being able to fall into the end zone.
- 7:31Speaker 1: I mean he gets he gets pretty much all the
- 7:33Speaker 1: goal line opportunities there. Tony Pollard is kind of the
- 7:35Speaker 1: only thing in Tennessee that was even mildly interesting. So
- 7:38Speaker 1: if we're taking him away this week, it's bleak.
- 7:42Speaker 2: There's not a Titan I would want to start, you.
- 7:45Speaker 1: Know, there's not a Titan apparently that the cam Ward
- 7:46Speaker 1: wants to start based on the way he described the
- 7:48Speaker 1: offense over the weekend.
- 7:50Speaker 2: I'm gonna keep it a buck. Yeah, let's go the
- 7:54Speaker 2: good side of things.
- 7:55Speaker 1: Though I named that wasn't on the board but is
- 7:58Speaker 1: in the list.
- 8:00Speaker 2: Uh he marks.
- 8:01Speaker 1: But also let's talk about the Patriots running back. So
- 8:03Speaker 1: ramondre Stevenson, Travion Henderson, one of these guys has to
- 8:07Speaker 1: pop right, one.
- 8:08Speaker 2: Of them, one of them.
- 8:11Speaker 3: Yeah, I do think I'm leaning more on Ramandre Stevenson
- 8:14Speaker 3: because it does not seem to.
- 8:16Speaker 2: Be that he's going to go away at this point.
- 8:18Speaker 3: I mean, we saw last week where he was a
- 8:20Speaker 3: guy that was kind playing in the background. In the
- 8:22Speaker 3: first half, it was a lot of Trevion Henderson. But
- 8:24Speaker 3: then you look at that second half of the game.
- 8:26Speaker 3: He plays seventy percent of the snaps and he led
- 8:29Speaker 3: them in touches in the second half. So he's not
- 8:31Speaker 3: going to go anywhere. Like, I do feel like this
- 8:33Speaker 3: matchup seems like it's juicy for Trevion Henderson. But I'm
- 8:37Speaker 3: very fearful that this might end up being on Ramondre
- 8:40Speaker 3: Stevenson's plate to really put up the fantasy points over
- 8:42Speaker 3: Travon Henderson.
- 8:44Speaker 1: Like part of me wants the Henderson breakout to happen.
- 8:48Speaker 1: I thought last week maybe after the Stevenson and Gibson fumbles,
- 8:52Speaker 1: But just going based on the metrics, it's still Remandre
- 8:56Speaker 1: who's getting most of the opportunities. He's getting most of
- 8:59Speaker 1: the snaps, more the touches, So just you know, again,
- 9:02Speaker 1: you just follow the metrics, you're looking at Remandre. But
- 9:05Speaker 1: I still am waiting for the moment that the Patriots
- 9:08Speaker 1: are around and say, hey man, we got Remandre or Trevion,
- 9:10Speaker 1: we should give him the ball.
- 9:11Speaker 2: That's gonna happen, right, Like I think I did write,
- 9:15Speaker 2: I think Stevenson is the safer floor play. I think
- 9:17Speaker 2: Henderson is the home run hitting. But if you're listening,
- 9:21Speaker 2: trade for their next three games they get the Bills,
- 9:24Speaker 2: the Saints, the Titans, and then their scheduled late in
- 9:27Speaker 2: the year is awesome as well. Like I think this
- 9:29Speaker 2: is the time to try to get Trevion on your team,
- 9:31Speaker 2: all right, So.
- 9:31Speaker 1: Maybe a buy low opportunity there. On the other side,
- 9:35Speaker 1: it's been a rough start to the season for Isaiah
- 9:37Speaker 1: Pacheco Lakwan. Would you like to stick up for your
- 9:40Speaker 1: your fellow Jersey Are.
- 9:42Speaker 2: You New Jerseyans, New Jersey Heights.
- 9:44Speaker 3: What is the New Jersey ins Jerseys? Okay, make Jersey,
- 9:47Speaker 3: That's all that matters.
- 9:47Speaker 2: Would you like to would you like to send your
- 9:49Speaker 2: fellow Jersey in for your fellow pork role leader.
- 9:53Speaker 3: I want to put it out here like I love
- 9:55Speaker 3: supporting guys that from New Jersey. You know all the
- 9:58Speaker 3: players we we like to support to, but this one
- 10:00Speaker 3: I cannot man like he is near the drop zone?
- 10:03Speaker 3: Is he gonna go Taylor Ham on the Jaguars. He
- 10:06Speaker 3: is not going to go Taylor Ham. Marcus, We're now
- 10:10Speaker 3: you're gonna acknowledge Taylor Ham. It's pork role. But I
- 10:14Speaker 3: do think we're Burshard smith Man. His involvement is increasing.
- 10:17Speaker 3: He seems to be the guy that's gonna get a
- 10:19Speaker 3: lot of the valuable opportunities in fantasy, being that if
- 10:22Speaker 3: you were in PPR Leagus. He's a former wide receiver,
- 10:25Speaker 3: natural hands. He's a speedster as well, and we know
- 10:27Speaker 3: the Chiefs love speed and the guy like Matt Naggy
- 10:30Speaker 3: loves peppering targets to the running back position. We've seen
- 10:33Speaker 3: his time in Chicago with Treie Cohen and how much
- 10:36Speaker 3: Voume he's seen and how he was able to benefit
- 10:38Speaker 3: in fantasy, so I do think this may be pour
- 10:41Speaker 3: one out for the homie man. It might be over
- 10:43Speaker 3: for Procheco. In starting lineups.
- 10:45Speaker 1: In my Sleepers column this week, which you can find
- 10:47Speaker 1: at NFL dot com slash sleepers, I have Brishard Smith
- 10:51Speaker 1: in there right now, let's go. I think the opportunity
- 10:54Speaker 1: is growing for him. Plus he has the pass catching chops.
- 10:58Speaker 1: You know, I don't think they're really use Kareem Hunt
- 11:00Speaker 1: quite that way anymore. I think Brishard Smith could take
- 11:03Speaker 1: over that role. I like him with some sleeper vibes
- 11:06Speaker 1: this week against Jacksonville on Monday night time. To check
- 11:09Speaker 1: out the first to score odds for the Sunday night
- 11:11Speaker 1: matchup between the Patriots and the Bills. James Cook a
- 11:15Speaker 1: minus two hundred to score the first touchdown, so very
- 11:18Speaker 1: strong odds on Cook, Traveon Henderson and Khalil Shakir following
- 11:24Speaker 1: behind Cook, and then Stefan Diggs who came to life
- 11:26Speaker 1: last week. Drake Maywold said they got to get the
- 11:29Speaker 1: ball to digs More and they absolutely did give the
- 11:31Speaker 1: ball to digs More. So, Lucull we sort of talked
- 11:34Speaker 1: about this. We were sort of hoping for it. What
- 11:37Speaker 1: are the chances that we actually do get the Traveon
- 11:40Speaker 1: Henderson game that Mike Vrabel, Josh mcgann' will be like,
- 11:43Speaker 1: hey man, we should actually load this guy up with targets.
- 11:45Speaker 3: It touches there's opportunity. And then I understand folks who
- 11:49Speaker 3: are going out there putting in starting lineups. This is
- 11:51Speaker 3: a matchup where he should excel. He should be able
- 11:53Speaker 3: to bounce outside, put his foot in the ground and
- 11:55Speaker 3: find himself in the end zone eventually. But we're not
- 11:58Speaker 3: getting that security that he is getting the max opportunities
- 12:02Speaker 3: right now. So I understand if you're putting him out
- 12:04Speaker 3: there in starting lineups with the bye weeks, so at
- 12:06Speaker 3: the end of the day, you're going to take risk
- 12:08Speaker 3: putting him in starting lineups because he's not the starting
- 12:10Speaker 3: running back. So I do think folks are going to
- 12:12Speaker 3: be chasing us for weeks and weeks in how I'm
- 12:15Speaker 3: chasing RJ.
- 12:15Speaker 2: Harvey.
- 12:16Speaker 3: It's fine, I'm looking at the other side of the fense.
- 12:18Speaker 3: It's not that green for Trevion Henderson either, So we
- 12:20Speaker 3: just have to wait for these guys to have their
- 12:22Speaker 3: turn the step up to take over the backfield entirely.
- 12:25Speaker 1: Yeah, just I think at this point, I know you
- 12:27Speaker 1: probably spent some decent draft capital on Henderson, but I
- 12:30Speaker 1: think until he shows something, even in a on paper
- 12:34Speaker 1: good matchup like this, it's just hard to put him
- 12:36Speaker 1: in a lineup until we actually see him get those
- 12:38Speaker 1: opportunities right now when we come back, we got starts
- 12:42Speaker 1: and sins for wide receivers and tight ends. Plus Chiefs
- 12:46Speaker 1: and Jaguars has become a really intriguing matchup for Monday
- 12:49Speaker 1: Night Football. Stick around for more of the NFL Fantasy
- 12:51Speaker 1: Football Show. Continuing our preview of some of the week
- 12:58Speaker 1: five prime time games, go to Monday Night Football. The
- 13:01Speaker 1: Kansas City Chiefs at the Jacksonville Jaguars. Jacks a surprised
- 13:05Speaker 1: three and one, the Chiefs sitting at two and two.
- 13:07Speaker 1: You can see that game eight fifteen at pm Eastern
- 13:10Speaker 1: on ESPN ABC and ESPN Deportes.
- 13:13Speaker 2: Florio has Travis etn become a must start now only
- 13:17Speaker 2: if you like fantasy points. Okay, sure, he's scored eleven
- 13:20Speaker 2: or more in every game, three of which he scored
- 13:23Speaker 2: sixteen or more. He's dominating volume right now, Like, yeah,
- 13:26Speaker 2: he has been of all the middle to late round
- 13:29Speaker 2: running backs. So far, he's been the biggest breakout of them.
- 13:32Speaker 2: And yeah, if you have him, you know this and
- 13:34Speaker 2: you should be starting, even in a tough matchup like
- 13:36Speaker 2: I know the Chiefs are tough against the run. I'm
- 13:38Speaker 2: not getting away from him in that one. No.
- 13:40Speaker 1: And that's funny because remember, coming into the season, we're like,
- 13:43Speaker 1: I don't know, do the Jaguars still like Travis Etn
- 13:45Speaker 1: or we're gonna see Tank Bigsby?
- 13:47Speaker 2: What about Besehall Tuton?
- 13:48Speaker 1: And after the first four weeks of the season, it
- 13:53Speaker 1: looks like the reason they traded Tank Bigsby was not
- 13:55Speaker 1: Basehall Tuton. It was because they decided that, oh, yeah,
- 13:57Speaker 1: we really do like Travis Etn and we want.
- 13:59Speaker 2: To give him the ball a lot.
- 14:01Speaker 1: He's run the ball effectively, he's catching the ball out
- 14:03Speaker 1: of the backfield.
- 14:03Speaker 2: He's doing all the.
- 14:04Speaker 1: Things we thought Travis Etn was going to do when
- 14:07Speaker 1: the Jaguars first drafted him. So it's good to see
- 14:10Speaker 1: him sort of get this opportunity and not just get
- 14:11Speaker 1: the opportunity, but play well with the opportunity. He's been
- 14:15Speaker 1: given back to our starts and since going over to
- 14:18Speaker 1: the wide receiver position, Florida.
- 14:19Speaker 2: Who was up? Who is down? This week? I'm going
- 14:22Speaker 2: in on it this week. A J. Brown as a
- 14:25Speaker 2: start against the Denver Broncos. Why I'm just banking on
- 14:29Speaker 2: talent here. And he had nine targets last week, eight
- 14:31Speaker 2: or more and three straight games. You give him that volume.
- 14:33Speaker 2: I do think eventually him and Hurts are going to
- 14:36Speaker 2: get on the same page. Garret Wilson is as must
- 14:38Speaker 2: start as a must start player could be this week
- 14:41Speaker 2: against the Cowboys. Over eighty yards and a touchdown in
- 14:44Speaker 2: three or four games. Lakwan's gonna love this. Quinn Johnson
- 14:47Speaker 2: and Keenan Allen both as starts against the coach and
- 14:51Speaker 2: big play Xavier Worthy. I think it's a good matchup
- 14:55Speaker 2: for him one and the volume's going his way. He's
- 14:57Speaker 2: the deep threat all of that. And then I know
- 15:01Speaker 2: people were like, well, it's kind of your logic for
- 15:03Speaker 2: AJ Brown being good enough and getting volume is kind
- 15:06Speaker 2: of the same as Brian Thomas. The difference is Brian
- 15:08Speaker 2: Thomas through four weeks as the fourth highest rate of
- 15:12Speaker 2: uncatchable targets and his catchery would be the worst in
- 15:14Speaker 2: the last fifteen years. I have digs as a sit
- 15:18Speaker 2: I know Last week was a big game for him.
- 15:20Speaker 2: He's still he's finally starting to get more volume, but
- 15:23Speaker 2: the Bills have been the toughest matchup for receivers. Chris Godwin,
- 15:28Speaker 2: he had ten targets last week, but he looked like
- 15:30Speaker 2: he's still shaking off the rust. The Seahawks are really tough.
- 15:32Speaker 2: Gee Higgins, I want no, absolutely no part of and
- 15:34Speaker 2: I feel the same way with Jerry Judy, especially with
- 15:37Speaker 2: Dylan Gabriel starting.
- 15:38Speaker 1: Looking at the starts on the wide receiver side. We
- 15:41Speaker 1: talked about this earlier in the week, Lakwan, but it
- 15:44Speaker 1: looks like Chris ol Lobby is making it out of
- 15:46Speaker 1: the satchel of discontent.
- 15:48Speaker 2: Is this a long term thing or is this just
- 15:50Speaker 2: a week five thing?
- 15:52Speaker 3: I don't know, man, this feels like it might be
- 15:54Speaker 3: a long term thing and him crawling out of that
- 15:57Speaker 3: Sachel man, I don't know him, but Chris o' lobby
- 15:59Speaker 3: right now is top five in catches and in targets.
- 16:02Speaker 3: But the yards are a little low, only forty six
- 16:04Speaker 3: yards per game that he's getting, so I don't think
- 16:07Speaker 3: that these targets are valuable. But guess what, guys, I
- 16:10Speaker 3: started Chris o'lovey last week over Jamar Chase. I had
- 16:14Speaker 3: the screenshot, I sent it to the group chat, and
- 16:16Speaker 3: I was happy I made that decision. So Florio, I'm
- 16:19Speaker 3: not too worried about Brian Thomas Junior for the next
- 16:22Speaker 3: couple of weeks because of Trevor mid Lawrence. But guess what, guys,
- 16:25Speaker 3: I'm actually sitting AJ Brown this week for one of
- 16:28Speaker 3: the guys that Florio's saying that he wants to sit,
- 16:31Speaker 3: which is kind of surprising.
- 16:32Speaker 1: Man.
- 16:32Speaker 3: That that revenge game, it's gonna be great for Stefon Diggs.
- 16:36Speaker 3: So I'm starting Stefon Diggs over AJ Brown this week.
- 16:39Speaker 3: I mean, guys, I'm already getting rosted in my group
- 16:41Speaker 3: chat right now about it. But it's fine. I'm here
- 16:44Speaker 3: for w's. I'm not strapped to big names, man, I'm
- 16:47Speaker 3: strapped too fantasy points and that's what we're gonna be
- 16:49Speaker 3: rolling with.
- 16:50Speaker 1: I mean, look, you proved that earlier in the year
- 16:52Speaker 1: when you were like, I'm gonna start LC Ioman Or
- 16:54Speaker 1: over Jamar Chase. And I mean right now, after one game,
- 16:58Speaker 1: Chase does have of a slight lead over Io manor
- 17:03Speaker 1: slightly slight lead.
- 17:05Speaker 3: It is a lead nonetheless like Io Manner had six points,
- 17:08Speaker 3: Jamar Chase had seven.
- 17:09Speaker 2: Do you see where I'm going? Six? Seven? The thing,
- 17:12Speaker 2: the thing that's so sad about this bet was like
- 17:15Speaker 2: if Iomanner put up like fourteen and it was it'd
- 17:18Speaker 2: be like, all right, cool, six and seven is just impressing.
- 17:22Speaker 2: This is this is a pillow fight right now.
- 17:23Speaker 1: This is not particularly great at all. So we'll see
- 17:28Speaker 1: how this continues along. I would say the thing going
- 17:31Speaker 1: in Jamar Chase's favors at least he didn't have to
- 17:33Speaker 1: play the Broncos this week.
- 17:37Speaker 2: Jake Brown is still pretty bad. Yeah, he does not
- 17:40Speaker 2: look great. But Stephan Diggs, you are fully on board
- 17:43Speaker 2: with Stephan Diggs this week? Yes?
- 17:45Speaker 1: Is this a revenge game thing? Is this a Drake
- 17:48Speaker 1: may is targeting him more thing?
- 17:50Speaker 2: So I'm gonna go with that.
- 17:52Speaker 3: Maybe he needed to be slowly ramped up because like
- 17:55Speaker 3: I was pointing at like, hey, this guy's not getting
- 17:57Speaker 3: any targets downfield. And then we saw week he finally
- 18:01Speaker 3: showed some life for fantasy managers because to believe it
- 18:04Speaker 3: or not, he was near that drop zone as well.
- 18:06Speaker 3: If they were just going to be having Hunter Henry
- 18:08Speaker 3: lead the charge for this Patriots offense. But Stefan Diggs
- 18:11Speaker 3: showing life last week and then him going into this
- 18:13Speaker 3: game where it's going to be high emotion. This is
- 18:15Speaker 3: a true revenge game, so I do think he's going
- 18:17Speaker 3: to try to make his mark felt and make sure
- 18:19Speaker 3: the Buffalo Bills fill his presence. So I'm definitely going
- 18:23Speaker 3: to be feeling like he's going to be one of
- 18:24Speaker 3: those guys in my starting lineups that's going to make
- 18:26Speaker 3: me proud this week.
- 18:27Speaker 1: He was there the first few weeks of the season,
- 18:29Speaker 1: but I literally I think I said this, I had
- 18:31Speaker 1: to go and look at the box score to make
- 18:33Speaker 1: sure he wasn't hurt or something.
- 18:35Speaker 3: I'm like, before last week he was only targeted on
- 18:39Speaker 3: four times beyond the sticks. Okay, that's insane, Like everything
- 18:43Speaker 3: was close to the line of scrimmans for Diggs, and
- 18:45Speaker 3: I'm like, he's not going to be able to create
- 18:46Speaker 3: after the catch, being that he's recovering from injury, so
- 18:49Speaker 3: we need to start utilizing him more downfield. And then
- 18:52Speaker 3: last week that's what we saw and then you saw
- 18:54Speaker 3: the results of that.
- 18:55Speaker 1: Yeah, So hopefully that continues this week for the sake
- 18:58Speaker 1: of the.
- 18:58Speaker 2: Strength of the Bills as there's secondary. That's all I'm
- 19:01Speaker 2: gonna say. Look at it, Look at Floria, Man, come on,
- 19:03Speaker 2: don't you watch it?
- 19:05Speaker 1: So I'm gonna lean like like Christian Benford is a
- 19:08Speaker 1: lockdown guy, just like I I go. You know, because
- 19:11Speaker 1: you talk about the Rams struggling its tight ends and
- 19:14Speaker 1: rushing quarterbacks, like I take that into account, like you
- 19:16Speaker 1: watch them closely, so he watches the Bill.
- 19:18Speaker 2: The other thing is like, I just think the running
- 19:20Speaker 2: game is going to get to the Bills like that,
- 19:22Speaker 2: and they've been really good downfield. Well we'll see. I mean,
- 19:25Speaker 2: Dicks could come through there. I do think the Patriots,
- 19:29Speaker 2: if they can generate a touchdown for Diggs, they're gonna
- 19:32Speaker 2: try to do so.
- 19:33Speaker 1: Yeah, uh, finals get the tight ends. So who are
- 19:35Speaker 1: your starts and sits for the week.
- 19:37Speaker 2: Tyler Warren is a mustard option, as is Jake Ferguson.
- 19:40Speaker 2: Like there's very if you don't have Bowers and McBride.
- 19:43Speaker 2: These guys are the next up at the tight end position.
- 19:46Speaker 2: Hunter Henry. I know the Bills have been good against
- 19:49Speaker 2: tight ends, it doesn't matter to me. I like Hunter
- 19:52Speaker 2: Henry gets used so consistently and the upside is high
- 19:54Speaker 2: enough to get him in Don Kincaid. I know last
- 19:57Speaker 2: week was kind of a step back target wise, but
- 19:59Speaker 2: he he has been consistently utilized for the Bills, so
- 20:02Speaker 2: I think at a weak tight end position he's in play.
- 20:06Speaker 2: Zach Ertz is the top slot target for the Commanders,
- 20:09Speaker 2: and the Chargers weakness on defense has been against the
- 20:11Speaker 2: slot and in the six. TJ. Hockinson one good game,
- 20:16Speaker 2: I don't trust it, and the Browns are a really
- 20:18Speaker 2: tough defense. Dallas Goddard has three touchdowns in his last
- 20:22Speaker 2: two games. He also has just six targets, and last
- 20:25Speaker 2: week was his first two red zone targets of the years,
- 20:28Speaker 2: so I'm not really banking on that touchdown rate to continue.
- 20:32Speaker 2: I'm sitting both Browns tight ends new quarterback. The Vikings
- 20:36Speaker 2: are extremely tough against the position. All of that, and
- 20:38Speaker 2: then Kaid and like I have Isaiah likely as a
- 20:42Speaker 2: sit too for the same reasons, like you gotta be
- 20:44Speaker 2: on the field getting targets to score fantasy points, and
- 20:47Speaker 2: those guys just aren't getting it consistently enough. Look on
- 20:50Speaker 2: Dalton Kin Kad.
- 20:51Speaker 1: The Bills are spreading the ball around, but Dalton kin
- 20:53Speaker 1: k seems to be getting a lot of work is
- 20:54Speaker 1: he finally blossoming into the tight end we hoped he
- 20:56Speaker 1: could be.
- 20:57Speaker 2: I think so.
- 20:58Speaker 3: And the one thing that I want to point out,
- 21:00Speaker 3: it looks like Florio has forgiven him for his wrongdoing.
- 21:03Speaker 3: You know how last season ended, So it's good to
- 21:05Speaker 3: see don K and Gate and good graces with you, Florio.
- 21:07Speaker 3: But man, the one thing that is standing out to
- 21:09Speaker 3: me is that he's scoring touchdowns. Guys hes three touchdowns
- 21:12Speaker 3: on the season. Last season he had two, and his
- 21:14Speaker 3: rookie year he had two as well. So it's like
- 21:16Speaker 3: it looks like he is trending up to be an
- 21:18Speaker 3: effective tight end that you can trust and rely on
- 21:20Speaker 3: and starting lineups. The guy's getting red zone looks, the
- 21:23Speaker 3: guys getting involved, as you can see in a short game,
- 21:25Speaker 3: they're designing plays for him to get up field. So
- 21:27Speaker 3: I do think he is actually part of the function
- 21:29Speaker 3: of this Bill's offense. It may be some weeks where
- 21:32Speaker 3: he may have some lows, but I just like what
- 21:34Speaker 3: I've seen from him these last couple of weeks where
- 21:36Speaker 3: I can rely on him as my tight end one
- 21:38Speaker 3: for a lot of my rosters.
- 21:39Speaker 1: All right, And then on the other side, Isaiah likely
- 21:43Speaker 1: coming back, but no Lamar Jackson. It looks like you
- 21:48Speaker 1: up or down on Isaiah Likely this week.
- 21:51Speaker 3: So the one note that I wanted to point out,
- 21:52Speaker 3: like he made his Cardio King debut last week, he
- 21:55Speaker 3: did absolutely nothing. He just ran a ton of routes.
- 21:58Speaker 3: I do think there may be a ramp up per
- 22:00Speaker 3: for him where I am still acquiring him off the
- 22:02Speaker 3: waiver wire. I am still side eyeing Mark Andrews. I
- 22:05Speaker 3: don't know if I could trust him, especially without Lamar
- 22:07Speaker 3: for these next couple of weeks. So I'm just looking
- 22:09Speaker 3: at Isaiah Likely. Does he become a target for Cooper Rush,
- 22:12Speaker 3: Does he become a function of this offense again of
- 22:15Speaker 3: how he started last season. Like, I do think that
- 22:17Speaker 3: both of these guys being in contract years, one of
- 22:20Speaker 3: these guys have to pull away. They say, hey, I
- 22:22Speaker 3: am the best investment for the future. So I do
- 22:24Speaker 3: think Isaiah Likely is on the watch list. You need
- 22:27Speaker 3: to keep your eyes on him, especially in this game,
- 22:29Speaker 3: just to see his usage if it increases.
- 22:32Speaker 1: The Lamar Jackson factor is big though, especially if he's
- 22:35Speaker 1: going to be out for several weeks. We'll see on that,
- 22:37Speaker 1: but kind of a time maybe to get away from
- 22:40Speaker 1: Raven's pass catchers, at least in the short term.
- 22:43Speaker 2: So there you go. More starts.
- 22:44Speaker 1: Incision can go to start nfl dot com slash starts
- 22:46Speaker 1: to get more analysis from Michael Florio.
- 22:48Speaker 2: There.
- 22:49Speaker 1: Now, get yourself a glass of milk, maybe some horkshot.
- 22:52Speaker 1: It's side for our spicy takes for week five.
- 22:55Speaker 3: Oh boy, we're getting spicy man now. Florio had Jordan
- 22:59Speaker 3: Mason as a this week, which I understand. This is
- 23:01Speaker 3: the Browns defense. You do not want to get in
- 23:03Speaker 3: battle with him. I explained last week why you don't
- 23:06Speaker 3: want to get into battle with them. But I am
- 23:08Speaker 3: saying that Jordan Mason will be the first running back
- 23:11Speaker 3: against the Browns this season to put up one hundred yards. Now,
- 23:13Speaker 3: Jami or Gibbs almost did it last season. Now, I
- 23:16Speaker 3: do think these guys are just different beasts, but they're
- 23:19Speaker 3: eating in the same jungle because they are actually tied
- 23:22Speaker 3: with two hundred and seventy one rushing yards right now.
- 23:24Speaker 3: So I am saying that Jordan Mason will run it
- 23:27Speaker 3: up against the Browns and make a statement and have
- 23:29Speaker 3: his presence felt.
- 23:31Speaker 1: All right, So big day coming potentially for Jordan Mason. Floria,
- 23:35Speaker 1: you have another running back you think goes big this week.
- 23:37Speaker 2: Yeah, I saw this matchup and I was like, Devon
- 23:40Speaker 2: Han against the Panthers could score as many points as
- 23:43Speaker 2: he wants. I think the thing I love about Hn
- 23:47Speaker 2: he's getting a lot of the work on the ground.
- 23:49Speaker 2: We know how explosive he is, but he's game script dependent,
- 23:53Speaker 2: like not at all games script dependent, because when they
- 23:55Speaker 2: fall behind, he might be their top target. Like he
- 23:59Speaker 2: no running back score more Fantasy points off of receiving
- 24:01Speaker 2: SATs last season than eight Chan and it started that
- 24:04Speaker 2: way again this year. But I think against the Panthers,
- 24:07Speaker 2: the Dolphins will have a lead, so I think we're
- 24:11Speaker 2: gonna see a lot of Devon Chan down the stretch.
- 24:13Speaker 2: And he is so explosive that he could break two
- 24:16Speaker 2: or three long touchdown runs. Like there's a game where
- 24:19Speaker 2: he dropped forty five Fantasy points as the RB two
- 24:22Speaker 2: for this team, Like we know what he can do
- 24:24Speaker 2: even unlimited touches, but I think this is a big
- 24:26Speaker 2: volume game for him in what is the best matchup
- 24:29Speaker 2: for running backs. So yeah, I think a Chan drops
- 24:32Speaker 2: forty and leads a lot of you to victory this week.
- 24:34Speaker 1: So I'm going to keep the running back theme going
- 24:37Speaker 1: and also the whole thing of targeting bad defenses. I'm
- 24:40Speaker 1: going to tell you that both Lions running backs will
- 24:42Speaker 1: each have twenty five or more Fantasy points for the
- 24:45Speaker 1: second time this year. We saw Sonic and knuckles at
- 24:48Speaker 1: Kajmir Gibbs and David Montgomery do that against the Baltimore
- 24:51Speaker 1: Ravens a couple of weeks ago. Now they eat the Bengals,
- 24:54Speaker 1: who I don't know if you've noticed, they are bad
- 24:56Speaker 1: on defense, bottom five rushing defense. Meanwhile, our bottom seven
- 25:01Speaker 1: rushing desis that's just say. Meanwhile, the Lions top five
- 25:04Speaker 1: in rate of rushing plays called. So I think the
- 25:08Speaker 1: matchup plus the fact that I expect the Lions kind
- 25:11Speaker 1: of name their score and be able to run the
- 25:13Speaker 1: ball in the second half, means that both Gibbs and
- 25:16Speaker 1: Montgomery have huge days. Obviously, you're starting Jamior Gibbs if
- 25:20Speaker 1: for whatever reason you were on the fence about starting
- 25:22Speaker 1: David Montgomery maybe after a bad game last week, do
- 25:25Speaker 1: not have any fear it'll get a whole lot better
- 25:27Speaker 1: this week. So we're all big on running backs and
- 25:30Speaker 1: our bold predictions for Week five.
- 25:33Speaker 2: In the meantime, for us, that is it. We are done.
- 25:36Speaker 1: We appreciate you hanging out with the NFL Fantasy Football show.
- 25:39Speaker 2: You know the drill.
- 25:40Speaker 1: Tell two friends to tell two friends, rate review, and
- 25:42Speaker 1: remember seize the moment. I mean, think of all those
- 25:44Speaker 1: folks on the Titanic who waved off the dessert card.
- 25:46Speaker 1: Be safe, take care of yourselves, Enjoy Week five.
- 25:49Speaker 2: Everybody. We'll talk to you again on Monday. Count Help count,
- 26:11Speaker 2: Help
- 26:20Speaker 1: H
