July Fourth brought electric energy to Greater Nevada Field, packed with 7,641 fans for a patriotic America 250 celebration — the third sellout of the season. Carnival games, autographs, a watermelon-eating contest, and a thrilling home run derby (won by the South Stars, 11-9) set the stage before the South Stars crushed the North Stripes 11-3 in the All-Star Game.
