- 0:10Speaker 2: Welcome to Meat Eater Trivia, the only game show where

- 0:16Speaker 2: today we're joined by Steve Yanni, Brody Randall, Reva, Marge
- 0:20Speaker 2: and Seth. This is a ten round quiz show with
- 0:23Speaker 2: questions for meat eaters four verticals which are hunting, fishing,
- 0:26Speaker 2: conservation and cooking, and there is a prize. Meat Eater
- 0:29Speaker 2: will donate five hundred dollars to the conservation organization of
- 0:32Speaker 2: the winners. Choosing and for the start of the week.
- 0:34Speaker 2: This week we're looking at player performance in the hunting category.
- 0:38Speaker 2: In the history of all Meat Eater hunting questions, the
- 0:41Speaker 2: player average is forty seven percent. Now, I think we
- 0:45Speaker 2: have our top four, no, our top five performers for
- 0:49Speaker 2: the hunting category. You're in this room best four hunters
- 0:51Speaker 2: in the world.
- 0:52Speaker 1: Are you running out of things because I feel like
- 0:53Speaker 1: you did this before?
- 0:54Speaker 2: Well, we've done it, but like in a year, stats change, right,
- 0:58Speaker 2: so we're looking at it again.
- 1:00Speaker 1: I want to hear a couple stats about Ole Reeve
- 1:02Speaker 1: over there. You ever played before, I've played twice. Did
- 1:05Speaker 1: you win?
- 1:08Speaker 2: Riva, who do you think is the best in the
- 1:10Speaker 2: hunting category. In this room, these are our five best players.
- 1:15Speaker 2: Which one of them is the best though, at the
- 1:17Speaker 2: top of the leaderboard, I'm gonna guess Brody. At the
- 1:20Speaker 2: top of the leaderboard is Brody, who gets seventy three
- 1:23Speaker 2: percent of hunting questions correct. That's followed by Randall with
- 1:26Speaker 2: sixty four percent, Yanni with sixty one percent, Steve with
- 1:30Speaker 2: fifty seven percent, Seth with fifty five percent, Mark with
- 1:33Speaker 2: fifty three percent, col with fifty one percent, and Clay
- 1:36Speaker 2: with fifty percent. Brody besting Randall by nine percent is
- 1:40Speaker 2: the biggest gap between the first and second best performers
- 1:44Speaker 2: in any.
- 1:45Speaker 3: Vertical where I shine in the hunting categories out in
- 1:49Speaker 3: the field.
- 1:50Speaker 2: Okay, I go, I can't uh, I can't give you
- 1:57Speaker 2: a stet on that Seth success success. But in trivia
- 2:03Speaker 2: between first and second Brody and Randall have I have
- 2:06Speaker 2: a hard time with all that because you think that this,
- 2:09Speaker 2: I feel like when.
- 2:09Speaker 1: I come down here, I win.
- 2:12Speaker 4: So it's like, how when you get these stats, I
- 2:14Speaker 4: feel like it could always be the I'm like the
- 2:16Speaker 4: highest h of all of them.
- 2:18Speaker 2: Yeah, well, in this case, I think your fifth highest.
- 2:22Speaker 4: Now here's our everybody's ass. Here's our in free We
- 2:25Speaker 4: had a We had a guy as a guest one
- 2:27Speaker 4: time comes down here. He thought I'd never lost.
- 2:32Speaker 1: Just means he doesn't choose if anyone ever beat Steve?
- 2:34Speaker 2: Do you never this?
- 2:35Speaker 1: You should put that in like a highlight reel.
- 2:37Speaker 2: Yeah, okay, just before the mic.
- 2:39Speaker 5: That just shows that he doesn't.
- 2:40Speaker 6: Maybe feel.
- 2:42Speaker 7: Listen to two episodes Steve, if you've seen them, did
- 2:46Speaker 7: you Brody is twenty five percent better than me.
- 2:49Speaker 1: It's like it's just not born out by reality.
- 2:51Speaker 2: In one category, one category category, did you see the
- 2:54Speaker 2: plaque has been updated? You are now officially the champion
- 2:56Speaker 2: for twenty twenty.
- 2:57Speaker 1: The whole year.
- 2:59Speaker 2: As a stat you are the whole year the champion.
- 3:02Speaker 5: You got lucky in one game year.
- 3:07Speaker 2: Don't think that was like it's.
- 3:09Speaker 1: Like I don't care, I don't know, I don't trust
- 3:10Speaker 1: who's running these stuff.
- 3:12Speaker 2: I love it. Now. Here's our Infrequently Asked Question segment.
- 3:15Speaker 2: If you have a trivia related question for our crew,
- 3:18Speaker 2: send it to Trivia at the mediat dot com with
- 3:20Speaker 2: the subject line, I f a you. Ryan Blaine wants
- 3:23Speaker 2: to know what are the top five states that have
- 3:25Speaker 2: been represented as answers to trivia questions. Justin Skinner has
- 3:29Speaker 2: a similar question. He says, I'd like to know how
- 3:31Speaker 2: many times Tennessee is mentioned during trivia. It may just
- 3:33Speaker 2: be because I live here, but it seems like it's
- 3:36Speaker 2: mentioned more than others. I went to the board game
- 3:38Speaker 2: and I pulled out the ten states that are referenced
- 3:40Speaker 2: most broke them down into two tiers. Uh one, Tier
- 3:44Speaker 2: one gets mentioned significantly more than Tier two, and Tier
- 3:47Speaker 2: two gets mentioned significantly more than the other forty states.
- 3:50Speaker 2: So do you guys have any guesses about the top
- 3:52Speaker 2: ten states?
- 3:55Speaker 7: I'm gonna trust Tennessee.
- 3:58Speaker 2: Tennessee is not one of them. Louisiana is not one
- 4:00Speaker 2: of them. Pennsylvania is not one of them. You had
- 4:04Speaker 2: to hit on. Michigan is in tier two. They've been
- 4:07Speaker 2: mentioned more than nineteen California. California is Tier one, Missourida
- 4:12Speaker 2: Missouri Tier two, Florida tier one. What other guesses you?
- 4:16Speaker 5: The tiers are just New Mexico Tier.
- 4:18Speaker 2: One to be fourteen times or more mentioned in the
- 4:21Speaker 2: board game. Tier two is nine times.
- 4:23Speaker 5: Colorado.
- 4:24Speaker 2: I think that's probably that is not one of Rhode Island.
- 4:27Speaker 2: No Rhode Island, I don't know if Rhode Island has
- 4:29Speaker 2: ever been mentioned in this game. Hawaii, Hawaii, you're missing
- 4:34Speaker 2: a couple obvious ones. Alaska, at least Alaska, I think
- 4:41Speaker 2: it's the most mentioned. Alaska, Texas, Florida, California, and Minnesota.
- 4:46Speaker 2: That would be your Tier one. Tier two is New York, Michigan, Alabama, Wisconsin, Missouri.
- 4:52Speaker 2: So those are your ten states that have been mentioned
- 4:54Speaker 2: the most in the history of Meat Eater Trivia. Now,
- 4:57Speaker 2: for today's housekeeping portion, we have a special announce it's
- 5:00Speaker 2: been about this episode and a few upcoming episodes. Today's
- 5:03Speaker 2: show is brought to you by Athletic Brewing, and when
- 5:06Speaker 2: Athletic Brewing came to us about sponsoring trivia, they said
- 5:10Speaker 2: they also wanted to support our conservation efforts, and we
- 5:13Speaker 2: have some asmr. That segment was brought to you by
- 5:18Speaker 2: Steve Ranella, not Athletic Brewing slurping the beer.
- 5:22Speaker 6: Well.
- 5:22Speaker 2: For today's game, Athletic Brewing is going to match our
- 5:25Speaker 2: five hundred dollars conservation organization donation. That means the winner
- 5:29Speaker 2: we'll get to make a one thousand dollars donation instead
- 5:32Speaker 2: of a five hundred dollars donation. Also, Athletic Brewing is
- 5:35Speaker 2: going to sponsor a moneyball question this week. There will
- 5:38Speaker 2: be one money ball question this round and for every
- 5:41Speaker 2: player who gets the right answer, Athletic Brewing is going
- 5:44Speaker 2: to make another one hundred dollars donation to Conservation. Thanks
- 5:48Speaker 2: to Athletic Brewing, today's episode, we'll have one of our
- 5:51Speaker 2: biggest donations ever. Talk yeah, let me let me set
- 5:56Speaker 2: the table. You know how sometimes you hear about a
- 5:58Speaker 2: band who's like before they blow up, someone's like, Oh,
- 6:01Speaker 2: this band's really good and they're really cool. I feel
- 6:04Speaker 2: like Steve has been on the athletic bandwagon. Well, or
- 6:07Speaker 2: you with Athletic Brewing. You were the first person that
- 6:10Speaker 2: I've ever saw drink and Athletic Beer.
- 6:13Speaker 4: Listen because I quit drinking. I don't drink now. I
- 6:16Speaker 4: don't drink at all anymore. I haven't been drunk for
- 6:19Speaker 4: seven years.
- 6:21Speaker 2: Okay, no, I.
- 6:24Speaker 4: Was going to dispute that, but yourself, No, it's it's
- 6:27Speaker 4: been a bunch of years since I got drunk. I'll
- 6:29Speaker 4: tell you where I was sitting last time I got drunk.
- 6:32Speaker 4: I was with probably Yanni. I was with Kent and Kruth.
- 6:35Speaker 4: I drank six seven vodka sodas. Was hungover for forty
- 6:42Speaker 4: eight hours because I had already mostly quit drinking.
- 6:46Speaker 5: This was in Vegas.
- 6:46Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 6:47Speaker 4: Now I don't drink at all, not a lick ever. Okay, ever,
- 6:53Speaker 4: and if I get fidgety at night, now it's hard
- 6:56Speaker 4: to relax.
- 6:59Speaker 1: There's there's no end to the day. Okay, the day
- 7:02Speaker 1: does without alcohol. Your day never ends. Okay, so listen
- 7:07Speaker 1: to me, because listen here.
- 7:10Speaker 4: Yeah yeah, Except then I realized it's this, it's you
- 7:15Speaker 4: need that.
- 7:16Speaker 1: It's like your body. It's not that your body's reacting.
- 7:19Speaker 1: This is in my thing.
- 7:21Speaker 4: It's not that my body's reacting necessarily to alcohol. It's
- 7:25Speaker 4: just the ritual, the ritual of it.
- 7:27Speaker 5: Okay.
- 7:28Speaker 4: So I started drinking like I like the athletic beer,
- 7:32Speaker 4: the athletic NA because it's just like it's like no different.
- 7:38Speaker 4: I could go to any big time beer drinker and
- 7:41Speaker 4: and if they were drinking that, they would not know.
- 7:44Speaker 1: They would not be like that's a NA. They wouldn't know.
- 7:49Speaker 1: I'm telling you, dude.
- 7:50Speaker 2: And now you can sleep at night.
- 7:51Speaker 4: And so they make a chilada because I either way,
- 7:55Speaker 4: I have to keep it like traditionally, I have to
- 7:57Speaker 4: keep a bottle of Bloody Marry mix because I like
- 7:59Speaker 4: it to have a little burn because I used to
- 8:01Speaker 4: like cocktails a lot, and I iced to like Bloody
- 8:03Speaker 4: Mary's a lot. Okay, just poor big Stiffy loved it
- 8:10Speaker 4: and I miss that now. So I like to take
- 8:13Speaker 4: beer and mix it with spicy bloody Marry mix because again,
- 8:17Speaker 4: it gives.
- 8:17Speaker 1: You that that burn.
- 8:20Speaker 4: Taste feeling of having a cocktail, which makes you not
- 8:24Speaker 4: think about having a cocktail.
- 8:26Speaker 1: And they make it, they make it pre mixed a chilada.
- 8:30Speaker 2: Yeah, Steve's, Steve's, I'm a big Listen.
- 8:32Speaker 1: These are good.
- 8:33Speaker 2: No, that's that's organic enthusiasm. Steve has. I had a
- 8:37Speaker 2: Christmas party a few years ago. I said, I've got beer, wine, cocktails,
- 8:41Speaker 2: and if that's not good enough, you bring something else.
- 8:43Speaker 2: Steve and his wife showed up with a case of
- 8:45Speaker 2: athletic beers and that was what they drank. And when
- 8:47Speaker 2: they left, they left them there and other people finish him.
- 8:50Speaker 2: They were a hit of the party. Yeah.
- 8:52Speaker 1: I didn't even get into the missus.
- 8:55Speaker 2: Oh, okay, go ahead, she drank them too. Yeah. Now,
- 9:00Speaker 2: if you want to take athletic brewing with you on
- 9:02Speaker 2: your next outdoor adventure, then go to Athletic Brewing dot
- 9:06Speaker 2: com and use code meat eater for fifteen percent off
- 9:08Speaker 2: your first order. That's Athletic Brewing dot Com and promo
- 9:11Speaker 2: code meat eater.
- 9:12Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 9:12Speaker 4: I'm talking on the non alcoholic light copper right now.
- 9:16Speaker 4: They make an I p A, not an IPA guy.
- 9:19Speaker 5: The light copper is their Mexican.
- 9:21Speaker 1: Beer, Servesa Atletico.
- 9:25Speaker 8: What's nice about this, because it's not beer, is that
- 9:31Speaker 8: you can't order it right from them, and they just
- 9:33Speaker 8: ship it right to you, which is something that you
- 9:35Speaker 8: can't do with real alcohol.
- 9:37Speaker 2: Yeah, and you don't feel guilty about having one at
- 9:39Speaker 2: noon on a Tuesday in the office.
- 9:42Speaker 5: I do feel guilty about doing that with a regular
- 9:44Speaker 5: beer you.
- 9:46Speaker 1: Can I love. Yeah.
- 9:50Speaker 2: Now, the shelbying exp for today's round is a five,
- 9:53Speaker 2: so I'm putting us on perfect game alert and with that,
- 9:56Speaker 2: we're onto the round of trivia. Play the drop, Phil, Look,
- 10:02Speaker 2: I need to know what I stand to win everything?
- 10:06Speaker 2: How's that?
- 10:07Speaker 1: Just tend to win everything?
- 10:16Speaker 5: Demon Suckers?
- 10:18Speaker 2: Question one. The topic is conservation in this will be
- 10:21Speaker 2: multiple choice. According to a nineteen ninety three study, which
- 10:26Speaker 2: of these animals is most frequently killed by vehicles in America.
- 10:31Speaker 2: Is it raccoons, squirrels, deer, or cats? According to a
- 10:38Speaker 2: nineteen ninety three study, which of these animals is most
- 10:42Speaker 2: frequently killed by vehicles in America? Raccoons, squirrels, deer or cats?
- 10:52Speaker 2: This is question one. Nobody looks confident. We had a
- 10:56Speaker 2: lot of barn cats when I was a kid. I
- 10:58Speaker 2: used to scrape a lot of those things off the
- 11:00Speaker 2: road in front of the house. Okay, And what did
- 11:02Speaker 2: you do with them then? I can't remember? Probably just
- 11:04Speaker 2: threw them in the track?
- 11:05Speaker 1: Dude, I got some cat stories and curl your hair? Man,
- 11:08Speaker 1: I'm not with no way to tell you. Seth knows them.
- 11:11Speaker 2: Okay, similar little little teas from Steve.
- 11:17Speaker 8: That'll been a forthcoming audio book project.

- 11:37Speaker 9: No?
- 11:39Speaker 2: Okay? Is there something real about auspicious? Nineteen ninety three?
- 11:44Speaker 2: What's okay? A year after I was born.

- 11:58Speaker 6: Oh?
- 11:58Speaker 8: Oh man?
- 11:59Speaker 1: That was my first year full time trapping.
- 12:02Speaker 2: Keep talking raccoons, squirrels, deer or cats? Can you think
- 12:06Speaker 2: about what you were seeing on the road dead a

- 12:46Speaker 7: That's not the money ball.
- 12:46Speaker 2: Oh.
- 12:47Speaker 1: If I'd have heard you say squirrels, I would have
- 12:48Speaker 1: wrote that down.
- 12:49Speaker 2: Yeah, raccoons, squirrels, deer, cats. According to that study, there
- 12:52Speaker 2: are forty wall.
- 12:57Speaker 5: You hear the question.
- 12:58Speaker 2: According to that study, there are forty one million squirrels
- 13:02Speaker 2: killed by vehicles in America each year. That's followed by

- 13:15Speaker 2: fifty thousand deer. The study estimated that about two hundred
- 13:19Speaker 2: million birds are killed by vehicles as well.
- 13:22Speaker 1: Oh, I would have absolutely written down squirrels if I'd
- 13:24Speaker 1: caught that.
- 13:25Speaker 2: I wonder what the hunter harvest of squirrels is.
- 13:27Speaker 5: Can't be?

- 13:34Speaker 7: out and put it in the back of the truck.
- 13:37Speaker 7: And then when I was leaving the test, I saw
- 13:39Speaker 7: people looking in the back of my truck at a
- 13:42Speaker 7: freshly killed raccoon.
- 13:44Speaker 4: Well, I can tell you the most harvested game animal
- 13:48Speaker 4: in America is the morning dove. And I think that
- 13:49Speaker 4: comes in at ten million. Hmmm, so squirrels aren't Maybe
- 13:54Speaker 4: squirrels are number two.

- 17:55Speaker 2: No? No, let's not do that.
- 17:57Speaker 5: Can we do two?
- 17:58Speaker 2: For extra credits? Just one? Now we're using brand new
- 18:01Speaker 2: white boards today. Our old ones are in the auction
- 18:04Speaker 2: house of Oddities. Oh when you're hearing this, I don't
- 18:07Speaker 2: think it'll be too late. There should be a few
- 18:09Speaker 2: days left. The whiteboards with a signed board game that
- 18:12Speaker 2: was signed by Brody, Steve, Yanni and Me is up
- 18:15Speaker 2: to thirty five hundred dollars in our auction house of Aditi.
- 18:18Speaker 2: So if you want our old ones that are covered
- 18:20Speaker 2: in graffiti, head over to our website check them out there.
- 18:23Speaker 2: We're now using new boards. Steve has been the first
- 18:25Speaker 2: one to put any graffiti on them.
- 18:27Speaker 1: What do you got there, Steve, Well, same thing I
- 18:29Speaker 1: always read on my board.
- 18:31Speaker 2: It says suck it Brody Badge of Honor.
- 18:33Speaker 8: If it was Luke Colmbs, I would have heard about it.
- 18:36Speaker 8: But it's gotta be the same genre.
- 18:38Speaker 2: Hmm.
- 18:40Speaker 5: Look at these guys.
- 18:43Speaker 1: You don't think Ozzy Osbourne bought.
- 18:47Speaker 3: It, you know.
- 18:50Speaker 2: Maybe that's why maybe with the nuge. Okay, Marge, Riva,
- 19:00Speaker 2: you guys know this one. No, okay, I remember seeing
- 19:03Speaker 2: the articles that happened in twenty twenty one. Savage, go
- 19:09Speaker 2: ahead and reveal your answers. We have seth saying Morgan
- 19:12Speaker 2: Wallen crossed out, Eric Church, Marge saying Dolly Parton, Reva
- 19:16Speaker 2: saying Morgan Whalen, Randall sanyg Morgan Wallen, Brody sang Luke Bryan,
- 19:22Speaker 2: Steve saying Eric Church, Yanni saying the nude. The correct
- 19:26Speaker 2: answers are Eric Church or Morgan Wallan. I think we'll
- 19:29Speaker 2: give it to you, Reva, Why do you give it
- 19:31Speaker 2: the rev? Morgan Whalen, Morgan Whalen. Oh that's close and
- 19:36Speaker 2: it was one letter off.
- 19:37Speaker 1: Well did you think were you thinking Whalen Jennings don't answer.
- 19:45Speaker 2: The musicians led a team of investors who purchased the
- 19:48Speaker 2: Field and Stream Media company from Recurrent and the Field
- 19:51Speaker 2: and Stream retail brand from Dick's Sporting Goods. Their first
- 19:55Speaker 2: major move after the acquisition was announcing that the print
- 19:58Speaker 2: magazine would return after a three year hiatus. Field and
- 20:01Speaker 2: Stream now has three membership tiers that range from fifteen
- 20:05Speaker 2: dollars a year to ninety five dollars a year. Are
- 20:08Speaker 2: they tied in with that Field and Stream hotel thing?
- 20:10Speaker 1: Yep? They are no, not the hotel thing, but like
- 20:13Speaker 1: something they bought like see a long time ago.
- 20:17Speaker 2: Uh.
- 20:17Speaker 4: Field and Stream like dispersed the ability. That's why there's
- 20:20Speaker 4: Field and Stream canoes and they and I think they
- 20:26Speaker 4: bucketed back some of the oars.
- 20:28Speaker 5: Do you see there's one going in?
- 20:29Speaker 6: Yep.
- 20:31Speaker 2: Question for the topic is conservation. This is our listener
- 20:34Speaker 2: question of the week, which was won by Keith Santos
- 20:36Speaker 2: for sending this great question. Keith is going to get
- 20:38Speaker 2: a board game signed by the crew. If you want
- 20:41Speaker 2: a chance to win our listener Question of the Week
- 20:42Speaker 2: and send your question to Trivia at the meat Eater
- 20:45Speaker 2: dot com. An electric barrier meant to keep Asian karp
- 20:49Speaker 2: out of the Great Lakes was placed on a canal
- 20:52Speaker 2: outside of this city. The topic is conservation.
- 20:57Speaker 1: Didn't even need you to finish that one.
- 20:59Speaker 2: And elect barrier meant to keep Asian carp out of
- 21:02Speaker 2: the Great Lakes was placed on a canal outside of
- 21:06Speaker 2: this city. Steve knows it very confident, now, Brody, you
- 21:11Speaker 2: seem confident on the last question that you got wrong with. No,
- 21:14Speaker 2: I was not, he wasn't. Okay, you're just writing down
- 21:16Speaker 2: the one you were quick. You were quick. That's because
- 21:20Speaker 2: it's like one of the just move on a dumb question.
- 21:26Speaker 5: No, no, I don't think it was.
- 21:27Speaker 2: I just didn't know it, and I wasn't going to
- 21:29Speaker 2: come up with an electric barrier meant to keep Asian
- 21:32Speaker 2: carp out of the Great Lakes was placed on a
- 21:35Speaker 2: canal outside of this city. Steve's texting someone to see
- 21:39Speaker 2: if he got his answer. Oh, I swear, Yahna, you
- 21:43Speaker 2: know this one.
- 21:44Speaker 5: I don't.
- 21:46Speaker 8: But as someone that's training to run fifty miles, uh,
- 21:49Speaker 8: these things helped me keep drinking beer but not putting
- 21:53Speaker 8: all those calories in my body.
- 21:54Speaker 2: Fifty five zero.
- 21:56Speaker 8: Yeah, when's your race again?
- 21:58Speaker 5: June fifteenth.
- 22:00Speaker 8: Thanks common Dang, Yeah, that's the uh.
- 22:05Speaker 5: Isn't that the antelope deadline in Montana? I don't know.
- 22:09Speaker 3: Is that June one?
- 22:11Speaker 4: What?
- 22:11Speaker 5: Oh?
- 22:12Speaker 8: I already filled all that out.
- 22:13Speaker 5: I'm done.
- 22:15Speaker 2: Is everybody ready? Go ahead and reveal your answers? We
- 22:19Speaker 2: have Sat saying Buffalo, Marge saying Chicago, Reva saying Milwaukee,
- 22:24Speaker 2: Randall and Brody and Steve saying Chicago, Yanni saying Saint Louis. Nope,
- 22:30Speaker 2: the correct answer was Chicago.
- 22:32Speaker 1: Dude, I've been there. You've been to bar No, I've
- 22:36Speaker 1: been to the barrier. I toured the barrier.
- 22:38Speaker 2: Oh, just for fundzies? And what were you doing there?
- 22:42Speaker 2: Get educated about? Remember why vasive carp?
- 22:46Speaker 6: What's that?
- 22:47Speaker 2: Just getting it? Just getting educated about invasive carp?
- 22:51Speaker 6: Yeah, I didn't remember that.
- 22:52Speaker 2: The electric dispersal barriers have been in operation since two
- 22:56Speaker 2: thousand and nine. This stretch of water is located twenty
- 22:59Speaker 2: five miles south of Lake Michigan on the Chicago Area
- 23:02Speaker 2: Waterway System. The barriers are made of one hundred and
- 23:05Speaker 2: sixty foot wide grids of electrodes that repel fish from
- 23:09Speaker 2: swimming upstream. The area is littered with signage from the
- 23:13Speaker 2: US Coast Guard saying it will absolutely not attempt to
- 23:16Speaker 2: rescue you if you fall in the water.
- 23:19Speaker 4: They so that's on a shipping and sanitation canal. So
- 23:22Speaker 4: they built that canal which actually connects it would connect
- 23:26Speaker 4: the Mississippi with the Saint Lawrence. So everything in the
- 23:29Speaker 4: Great Lakes goes out to Saint Lawrence and then you
- 23:31Speaker 4: jump over that divide and everything goes to the golf
- 23:35Speaker 4: And so that they created a real vulnerability with that
- 23:37Speaker 4: canal which joins the two of them up something else.
- 23:42Speaker 4: At one point in time, they were going to build
- 23:43Speaker 4: a canal that connected that ran across that connected the
- 23:47Speaker 4: bottom of Lake Michigan and traveled over to Erie.
- 23:56Speaker 1: To shorten that trip through the Great Lakes.
- 23:58Speaker 4: And that's why when they had that little war where
- 24:00Speaker 4: that we almost Michigan in Ohio almost went.
- 24:03Speaker 5: To war the Toledo Strip did what's that?
- 24:07Speaker 2: I feel like they kind of did it close.
- 24:10Speaker 1: They had an arbitrator come in and the arbitrator gave
- 24:13Speaker 1: the strip to Ohio and as a reconciliation gave Michigan
- 24:20Speaker 1: the up. They never built it away from Wisconsin, never
- 24:24Speaker 1: built a canal anyway, and then Michigan pulled just billions
- 24:28Speaker 1: in copper in or out of the up They never
- 24:33Speaker 1: you built a supercanal.
- 24:35Speaker 2: Account for like fertilized eggs drifting through it or something
- 24:39Speaker 2: like that. Well, I think it's more concerned about stuff
- 24:42Speaker 2: getting into Lake Michigan than going from Lake Michigan to
- 24:45Speaker 2: the Mississippi River. But they have, I think it was
- 24:48Speaker 2: in twenty fifteen they had they had traces of Asian
- 24:55Speaker 2: carp DNA upstream of the barriers. So it's kind of
- 25:00Speaker 2: should as to how effective it even is. Question five,
- 25:03Speaker 2: the topic is cooking. This French term refers to a
- 25:07Speaker 2: piece of meat that's been pounded thin wrapped around ham
- 25:10Speaker 2: and cheese and then fried. This is question five. We'll
- 25:15Speaker 2: get a scoreboard update from Phil after this. This French
- 25:19Speaker 2: term refers to a piece of meat that's been pounded,
- 25:22Speaker 2: thin wrapped around ham and cheese and then fried. Nobody
- 25:27Speaker 2: has come up with an answer yet. It's a French
- 25:31Speaker 2: term refers to a piece of meat it's been pounded,
- 25:35Speaker 2: thin wrapped around ham and cheese and then fried. Seth
- 25:39Speaker 2: now coming up with an answer. It's our first one, Seth,
- 25:42Speaker 2: you know it. You're just guessing. Okay, no.
- 25:47Speaker 5: Price spelled.
- 25:47Speaker 2: We may have another zero percenter here, Randall, I've got
- 25:51Speaker 2: a shot. Okay, Randall has a shot. Do you think
- 25:55Speaker 2: it's a French term that you have written there?
- 25:57Speaker 5: It is?
- 25:58Speaker 2: Indeed, this French term refers to a piece of meat
- 26:03Speaker 2: that's been pounded thin wrapped around ham and cheese and
- 26:07Speaker 2: then fried.
- 26:08Speaker 7: I questioned my spelling.
- 26:10Speaker 2: Okay, there's maybe a hint in the room.
- 26:13Speaker 6: Man.
- 26:13Speaker 5: I wish i'd been looking through those meati to rep question.
- 26:19Speaker 5: Spelled it exactly how it sounds.
- 26:21Speaker 2: Steve is doing French sound effects. Oh, he's a holy
- 26:26Speaker 2: artist today. We needed someone to slurp a beer and
- 26:29Speaker 2: he provided that. Needed someone to have French gestures, and
- 26:35Speaker 2: he's done that for us. What else is in your
- 26:38Speaker 2: library of noises? Steve? We we damn? Randall may be
- 26:46Speaker 2: the only one. Okay, Brody, do you have any guess?
- 26:53Speaker 2: I guess Okay, a piece of meat that's been pounded
- 26:57Speaker 2: thin wrapped around ham and ch and then fried.
- 27:02Speaker 1: I think it's a poor guys.
- 27:04Speaker 2: Yanni, Do you have a chance.
- 27:07Speaker 8: Yeah, took a while I was in there.
- 27:08Speaker 2: Oh you think you got it? Okay? Yeah, he's a
- 27:12Speaker 2: little confident. Is everybody ready?
- 27:17Speaker 5: It's this athletic beer.
- 27:18Speaker 2: Okay, you give up, Steve, I wrote something down. Oh okay, left,
- 27:23Speaker 2: go ahead and reveal your answers. We have Seth saying
- 27:26Speaker 2: Cordon Blue, Mark saying beef Wellington. You've sang Peti, Randall
- 27:31Speaker 2: saying Cordon blue, Brody saying rule da Steve, what's that
- 27:37Speaker 2: say Steve? Yanni sang hold on It wasn't Yanni and
- 27:47Speaker 2: Randall and Seth got it. The correct answer is Corton blue.
- 27:51Speaker 2: Cord On Blue was creating Switzerland in the nineteen forties.
- 27:55Speaker 2: Although most associate the dish with chicken, it's also made
- 27:58Speaker 2: with veal, pork and beef. Court On Blue translates to
- 28:01Speaker 2: blue ribbon in French, which is a phrase used to
- 28:04Speaker 2: describe culinary excellence.
- 28:06Speaker 5: It like paps court On blue fail.
- 28:12Speaker 2: We're halfway through the game of trivia. Give us a
- 28:14Speaker 2: scoreboard update.
- 28:16Speaker 9: Reva is in last place with one point. Then we've
- 28:19Speaker 9: got Seth, Maggie, Giannis and Brody tied up with two points.
- 28:23Speaker 9: Steve has three, and Randall Williams is in first place
- 28:25Speaker 9: with four points.
- 28:27Speaker 1: Anybody's game?
- 28:28Speaker 2: Phil, would have you gotten that last week?
- 28:30Speaker 3: Oh?
- 28:30Speaker 2: Yeah, you knew that one?
- 28:31Speaker 1: Uh huh, okay, anyone by which I mean me and Randall.
- 28:38Speaker 9: The cafeteria at the Montana State Dorms would serve a
- 28:42Speaker 9: pretty wet court on blue that.
- 28:43Speaker 2: Was wet about it.
- 28:46Speaker 9: It was just like it's almost sitting like a shallow
- 28:48Speaker 9: pool of water. Yeah, it was disgusting, but it was
- 28:53Speaker 9: a hit among drunk college kids.
- 28:55Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 29:05Speaker 2: Question six the topic is public lands. The Statue of
- 29:08Speaker 2: Liberty and Devil's Tower are this type of federal land?
- 29:14Speaker 2: This is question six. The Statue of Liberty and Devil's
- 29:18Speaker 2: Tower are this type of federal land? Brodie Steve Janni
- 29:26Speaker 2: Seth coming up with an answer. Marge, you have a
- 29:30Speaker 2: shot at this one. Have you been to the Statue
- 29:33Speaker 2: of Liberty or Devil's Tower?
- 29:37Speaker 3: Not the Statue of Liberty.
- 29:39Speaker 2: You can't recall what the signage around it was. How
- 29:43Speaker 2: about you steve both of them. What do you mean
- 29:47Speaker 2: you've been to the Statue of Liberty and Devil's Tower?
- 29:50Speaker 2: You know this one?
- 29:52Speaker 1: No feeling?
- 29:54Speaker 2: Okay.
- 29:56Speaker 4: During some of the interglacial periods, ocean levels are so
- 29:59Speaker 4: high that the pedestal that the statue Liberty would be
- 30:02Speaker 4: standing in water.
- 30:05Speaker 2: Mm hmm. I did not know that.
- 30:08Speaker 9: Who designed the statue of liberty, French Cordon blue.
- 30:14Speaker 2: Does everybody have an answer for the type of federal
- 30:17Speaker 2: over to us?
- 30:18Speaker 9: The only thing we built was the base.
- 30:21Speaker 1: Oh that'd have been underwater.
- 30:26Speaker 2: Is everybody ready go ahead and reveal your answers. We
- 30:29Speaker 2: have set saying national monument, Marge and saying national monument,
- 30:34Speaker 2: Randall saying national historic post and get caught up. Brody
- 30:38Speaker 2: sang national monument, Steve saying federal monument. Yanni sang national monument.
- 30:43Speaker 2: The correct answer is national monument. What do we think
- 30:47Speaker 2: of federal?
- 30:52Speaker 5: I'd give it to her.
- 30:54Speaker 2: I think that's like saying Federal Park.
- 30:56Speaker 9: Service, Yellowstone, Federal National, the same thing.
- 31:02Speaker 2: Dude.
- 31:02Speaker 1: Come on, I'm not playing anymore.
- 31:06Speaker 2: Despite your threat, I don't think we're going to give.
- 31:08Speaker 8: It to you.
- 31:08Speaker 2: Are you kidding me?
- 31:10Speaker 5: The definition?
- 31:13Speaker 1: I will go Steve, it's a federal monument. It's a
- 31:16Speaker 1: federal monument, Oh my god, come on.
- 31:19Speaker 2: But it's also like a proper now, so I don't think. Uh.
- 31:23Speaker 1: I almost just wrote monument.
- 31:25Speaker 2: I don't know if that would have been good enough.
- 31:27Speaker 5: I almost did too, but I didn't. Dude.
- 31:30Speaker 2: This is Brody went thumbs down immediately on your answer.
- 31:34Speaker 5: She gets a.
- 31:34Speaker 1: Point writing down Whalen. It's like the most famous country
- 31:39Speaker 1: artists of all time.
- 31:40Speaker 5: That's not it was a misspelling of Wolin or whatever.
- 31:45Speaker 5: The guys.
- 31:47Speaker 4: It's also her singular princess. You know, the Statue of
- 31:50Speaker 4: Liberty is a federal monument. No one is going to
- 31:52Speaker 4: correct me.
- 31:53Speaker 2: Uh, but what have you said a federal park.
- 31:55Speaker 1: I didn't say that it's a monument.
- 31:57Speaker 2: But it's if we're replacing words here, Phil, What do
- 31:59Speaker 2: you think back there?
- 32:01Speaker 5: Oh, definitely not.
- 32:04Speaker 1: Ship Randall.
- 32:06Speaker 2: How do you feel about it?
- 32:07Speaker 1: Uh, you've got to be kidding me.
- 32:09Speaker 5: I don't think.
- 32:10Speaker 7: I think it's a conflict of.
- 32:13Speaker 1: It's like, what's the definition.
- 32:17Speaker 7: Well, it's not a definition, it's a it's a it's
- 32:21Speaker 7: a category. I mean it's a it's a specific designation.
- 32:24Speaker 2: I think it'd be like instead of the U. S.
- 32:25Speaker 2: Forest Service, you said the American Forest Service. Like, that's
- 32:29Speaker 2: it's not if I give it to me. We're looking
- 32:33Speaker 2: for a proper down here.
- 32:36Speaker 4: Okay, I just typed in federal monument. National monuments are
- 32:39Speaker 4: areas of federal land set aside by the Congress.
- 32:42Speaker 6: Blah blah blah blah blah.
- 32:42Speaker 2: I don't think that helped you.
- 32:43Speaker 9: Yeah, I think it's just kind of it's it's national.
- 32:47Speaker 2: You find me someone calling it a federal substantiate liberty,
- 32:51Speaker 2: federal monument. Uh, we're getting.
- 32:58Speaker 5: Bruises running through my Uh, we're.
- 33:01Speaker 2: Getting I don't think we're gonna give it to you today.
- 33:05Speaker 1: You would give this to anybody else?
- 33:09Speaker 2: I don't think that's true either.
- 33:10Speaker 5: That's what I just said.
- 33:13Speaker 2: Let me read the fact, do I hear? Other famous
- 33:17Speaker 2: national monuments include the Booker T. Washington National Monument, Little
- 33:21Speaker 2: Big Horn Battlefield National Monument, and Dinosaur National Monument. Most
- 33:25Speaker 2: National monuments are ran by the National Park Service, but
- 33:28Speaker 2: a handful of managed by b l M, the US
- 33:30Speaker 2: Forest Service, US Fish and Wildlife Service, and Noah Steve.
- 33:35Speaker 2: How would you feel if that was Randall's answer.
- 33:39Speaker 1: Federal national? I would have given it someone who just
- 33:41Speaker 1: wrote monument.
- 33:43Speaker 2: Wow. I don't think you get the point. Nobody, nobody
- 33:47Speaker 2: else is siding with you.
- 33:49Speaker 5: Guess what tell me?
- 33:51Speaker 1: Everybody hates a wind you?
- 33:54Speaker 2: Uh huh? Question seven. The topic is fishing. This is
- 33:59Speaker 2: the Athletic Brewing Moneyball question of the Week. For every
- 34:02Speaker 2: correct answer provided, Athletic Brewing is going to make a
- 34:05Speaker 2: one hundred dollars donation that's capped at five hundred dollars.
- 34:09Speaker 2: This week, Athletic Brewing is giving to the conservation group,
- 34:12Speaker 2: the Nature Conservancy. Here is your moneyball question. This lake
- 34:17Speaker 2: on the California Arizona border, which is best known for
- 34:21Speaker 2: its spring break parties, has produced multiple world record sunfish.
- 34:27Speaker 2: Randal and Brody know it. Here's the question again. The
- 34:30Speaker 2: topic is fishing. This lake on the California Arizona border,
- 34:36Speaker 2: which is best known for its spring break parties, has
- 34:40Speaker 2: produced multiple world record READI or sunfish. This is the
- 34:44Speaker 2: Athletic Brewing moneyball question. So for everyone who gets the
- 34:47Speaker 2: right answer, Athletic Brewing is making a one hundred dollars
- 34:50Speaker 2: donation to the Nature Conserve.
- 34:52Speaker 1: Do you ever party there?
- 34:53Speaker 5: Randall?
- 34:54Speaker 7: No, but I used to guide a group of guys
- 34:57Speaker 7: from California every year that partiers that party. Yeah, and
- 35:00Speaker 7: there are a lot of stories about waking up under
- 35:01Speaker 7: boat trailers and stuff this place.
- 35:05Speaker 8: I spent a week there when I was maybe twelve
- 35:10Speaker 8: or thirteen and jumped off a lot of cliffs.
- 35:13Speaker 5: That was fun.
- 35:15Speaker 7: Caught quite a few lunkers.
- 35:19Speaker 8: Off soft plastics and on that huh Yeah.
- 35:23Speaker 4: I had a guy sent me a video one time
- 35:25Speaker 4: of a bobcat jumping story.
- 35:30Speaker 6: Other story, go ahead, no, no, no, oh no.
- 35:41Speaker 8: I was just gonna say that my uncle uh was
- 35:45Speaker 8: unfortunately no longer with us anymore.
- 35:47Speaker 5: But uh he uh.
- 35:49Speaker 8: He was real impressed that I had done it on
- 35:50Speaker 8: a soft plastic, that I had like the touch to
- 35:54Speaker 8: do it, you know, with a soft plastic. Then later
- 35:57Speaker 8: he caught one that was so big as he was
- 35:59Speaker 8: coming it was coming, it was at the side of
- 36:00Speaker 8: the boat.
- 36:01Speaker 5: I was like, I'll grab it for you, and he's like, no,
- 36:04Speaker 5: you won't. Don't touch that fish, and he reached out
- 36:07Speaker 5: and grabbed it. He did not want to let it go.
- 36:09Speaker 2: Okay, did you witness any partying at this lake? Did
- 36:13Speaker 2: I have that reputation?
- 36:14Speaker 6: Then?
- 36:14Speaker 8: You know, I think we were young enough that I'm
- 36:16Speaker 8: sure was going on, but we weren't really noticing it yet.
- 36:20Speaker 2: Again, this is our athletic bring moneyball question on the
- 36:23Speaker 2: side of their cans. They even have a little thing
- 36:24Speaker 2: it says giving back up to two million dollars annually
- 36:28Speaker 2: to restore local trails. So they walked the walk. Is
- 36:31Speaker 2: everybody ready waiting on seth trying to figure out where
- 36:36Speaker 2: these Lunger world record readier sunfish come.
- 36:40Speaker 7: From and a few longer largemouth.
- 36:43Speaker 2: Largemouth bess set. Randall was trying to remind you that
- 36:49Speaker 2: this is for conservation sets, so really really try hard here,
- 36:55Speaker 2: go ahead and reveal your answers. We Set saying Lake
- 36:59Speaker 2: Mead can't crossed out Lake Powell, Marge saying have a sue.
- 37:03Speaker 2: Riva sang Tahoe, Randall saying, have a sue. Brody, Steve
- 37:08Speaker 2: and Yanni saying have a sue. They got it. The
- 37:11Speaker 2: correct answer is lake have a sue. Five of you
- 37:13Speaker 2: got that right. That means Athletic Brewing is making a
- 37:17Speaker 2: five hundred dollars donation to the Nature Conservancy.
- 37:20Speaker 1: So that donation sits outide.
- 37:23Speaker 2: That's already happened. We've just now created that five hundred
- 37:27Speaker 2: dollars donation. The world record readier sunfish.
- 37:30Speaker 4: I feel like I can't believe tons of companies don't
- 37:33Speaker 4: don't throw.
- 37:35Speaker 1: Down like this.
- 37:36Speaker 2: Yeah, what an easy win for them?
- 37:38Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 37:39Speaker 2: Uh. The world record readier sunfish was caught at Lake
- 37:42Speaker 2: have Asou in twenty twenty one. At six point three pounds.
- 37:46Speaker 2: It easily broke the old world record of five point
- 37:49Speaker 2: eight pounds, which was also caught at Lake Havasou. In
- 37:52Speaker 2: twenty fourteen. The lake turned into a factory for giant
- 37:56Speaker 2: Readier sunfish after the invasive quagga muscles were discovered. There
- 38:00Speaker 2: are in two thousand and seven. Readier sunfish are sometimes
- 38:03Speaker 2: referred to as shell crackers because of their preferred diet
- 38:06Speaker 2: of snails, crayfish, and muscles. Thanks again to Athletic Brewing
- 38:10Speaker 2: for the moneyball question of the week.
- 38:12Speaker 5: Anybody in here caught or ready or sunfish?
- 38:14Speaker 1: I never have? You take a part of the reason.
- 38:18Speaker 5: Pretty much like a blue gal.
- 38:19Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, it looks like any other sunfish. I think
- 38:22Speaker 2: they're only native from like Texas to Louisiana, Alabama. But
- 38:26Speaker 2: but they are thriving in have As to thanks to
- 38:28Speaker 2: another invasive the quaga muscle.
- 38:31Speaker 4: I think part of the reason you screwed me on
- 38:32Speaker 4: that point is to try to create like a little
- 38:36Speaker 4: like a little.
- 38:36Speaker 1: Tension where I'm just not walking away with it.
- 38:41Speaker 7: Okay, Yeah, the tension would have been if you'd given that.
- 38:48Speaker 2: And tighter game. We'll get a scoreboard update after this
- 38:51Speaker 2: next question. This is question eight. The topic is Hunting,
- 38:57Speaker 2: this annual event that's held across the cuntree calls itself quote,
- 39:01Speaker 2: the greatest three d R tree experience that exists. This
- 39:07Speaker 2: annual event that's held across the country calls itself the
- 39:11Speaker 2: greatest three d R tree experience that exists. This is
- 39:16Speaker 2: question eight. Get a leaderboard update from Phil after this.
- 39:23Speaker 2: Has anyone in here been to this thing before? That
- 39:27Speaker 2: itself the greatest three d R tree experience? Jes Yani.
- 39:33Speaker 8: Yeah, someone decided that we should shoot the absolute longest course, okay,
- 39:38Speaker 8: and vowed to never do that again.
- 39:40Speaker 2: Okay, but would you go back to this just not
- 39:43Speaker 2: the largest longest of course short to medium range? Is
- 39:47Speaker 2: everybody ready waiting on Riva in March the greatest three
- 39:53Speaker 2: d R tree experience that exists? Give up, but it's
- 39:59Speaker 2: a good go ahead and reveal your answers. You have
- 40:02Speaker 2: Set saying total archery challenge, Marge saying American Ninja Warrior
- 40:07Speaker 2: Riva without an answer, the we have it, Randall saying
- 40:10Speaker 2: total archery challenge, Brody saying total archery challenge. Steep saying
- 40:14Speaker 2: is that total archery club tack? Don't you.
- 40:19Speaker 9: Know?
- 40:19Speaker 1: Total archie challenge and also tack?
- 40:22Speaker 2: Does that look like challenge to you?
- 40:23Speaker 5: Yanni?
- 40:24Speaker 8: Yes, okay, Total Archery Challenge, Yanni saying, Total Archie Challenge,
- 40:33Speaker 8: you should.
- 40:34Speaker 2: Work on your pensmanship, though I don't know what I got.
- 40:36Speaker 1: I'm trying to write tight because you guys are so
- 40:38Speaker 1: close to me.
- 40:40Speaker 5: It's Brodie's fault.
- 40:41Speaker 2: Actually, the correct answer is Total Archery Challenge. The Total
- 40:46Speaker 2: Archery Challenge was founded in twenty thirteen. This year they
- 40:49Speaker 2: have a dozen events held from Vermont to Texas to Utah.
- 40:53Speaker 2: They're known for their extreme courses in steep country that
- 40:55Speaker 2: we through timber and occasionally exceed one hundred yards. Give
- 41:00Speaker 2: us a scoreboard update. We have two questions left.
- 41:04Speaker 9: Yes, Reva is the only player that's not in contention
- 41:07Speaker 9: for the victory. We've got Maggie and Seth with four points, Yannis,
- 41:12Speaker 9: Steven Brody with five, and still in first place is Randall.
- 41:15Speaker 9: He has six points.
- 41:17Speaker 2: Two questions.
- 41:18Speaker 1: That's what I was saying about creating a tension, because
- 41:21Speaker 1: like we'd be tied, right.
- 41:24Speaker 7: But you were saying that he took your point away
- 41:26Speaker 7: to create tension because.
- 41:27Speaker 1: People just to they turn you want you Oh, he's
- 41:30Speaker 1: just gonna win again.
- 41:31Speaker 7: Yeah, oh I see, I see.
- 41:33Speaker 1: You know who wants to hear him win again.
- 41:35Speaker 7: Yeah, I know the feeling.
- 41:38Speaker 2: Question nine. The topic is cooking. This is America's fourth
- 41:43Speaker 2: most popular cooking appliance, with household ownership rising from eleven
- 41:48Speaker 2: percent in twenty seventeen to sixty percent in twenty twenty three.
- 41:54Speaker 2: That means in twenty seventeen, eleven percent of American households
- 41:58Speaker 2: owned one of these, and twenty twenty three, sixty percent
- 42:02Speaker 2: of American households owned one of these. Here's the question again.
- 42:06Speaker 2: This is America's fourth most popular cooking appliance, with household
- 42:10Speaker 2: ownership rising from eleven percent in twenty seventeen to sixty
- 42:15Speaker 2: percent in twenty twenty three. Hell just squeaking, Seth, you
- 42:23Speaker 2: know this, Brody.
- 42:23Speaker 5: You just came up with something.
- 42:25Speaker 2: I think I do know this, Okay, I could be right.
- 42:27Speaker 2: First thing that came to my head. Randal, Brody and
- 42:32Speaker 2: Seth have answers. Yanni hasn't picked up.
- 42:34Speaker 7: Is this a brand name?
- 42:36Speaker 2: If you thought the nador was Kleenex, you would write
- 42:40Speaker 2: it down tissue, okay, not kleenex s. This is America's
- 42:46Speaker 2: fourth most popular cooking appliance, with household ownership rising from
- 42:50Speaker 2: eleven percent in twenty seventeen. To sixty percent in twenty
- 42:55Speaker 2: twenty three.
- 43:00Speaker 8: What if I only know the brand name, that's not
- 43:04Speaker 8: gonna work.
- 43:04Speaker 2: I don't think we're gonna give it to you a
- 43:09Speaker 2: lot of different brands. Question nine. Probably that's a hint, Seth,
- 43:13Speaker 2: whatever it is, Seth, do you think you own one
- 43:18Speaker 2: of these? If this is if you have the correct answer.
- 43:20Speaker 3: If I have the correct answer, yeah, I do, okay.
- 43:23Speaker 2: How about you, Randall?
- 43:24Speaker 7: If I have the correct answer, I do not okay, and.
- 43:28Speaker 5: I got it in the time, that would make sense.
- 43:30Speaker 2: No, this is this kind of talk and leads people
- 43:32Speaker 2: getting answered. Okay, is everybody.
- 43:35Speaker 5: Ready, I'm finishing writing.
- 43:42Speaker 1: I can tell you you're gonna be fighting in a minute.
- 43:48Speaker 2: Go ahead and reveal your answers. We have Seth saying
- 43:51Speaker 2: air fryer, Large saying KitchenAid mixer, tabletop mixer, weave A
- 43:56Speaker 2: saying air frer, Randall saying air frar, Brody saying air
- 43:59Speaker 2: fry Steve saying slow cooker, slash pressure cooker in parentheses
- 44:04Speaker 2: instapot Yanni's saying instapot pressure cooker. The correct answer is
- 44:10Speaker 2: air fryer.
- 44:11Speaker 7: That's why I asked about brand name, because I could
- 44:14Speaker 7: only think of instapot sixty percent of house sixty percent.
- 44:18Speaker 2: According to data from Sircana, air frier ownership has now
- 44:22Speaker 2: passed up grills and multi cookers. Multi cookers would be
- 44:26Speaker 2: an instapot.
- 44:27Speaker 7: Uh.
- 44:27Speaker 2: The president of Nesli called air frars the biggest trend
- 44:30Speaker 2: in modern cooking, saying the demand for air frier directions
- 44:34Speaker 2: on their products became overwhelming during the pandemic. We have
- 44:38Speaker 2: a singular recipe for air friers on the medeater dot com,
- 44:41Speaker 2: which is Lucas Leif's Pheasant Kiev. Do you like your son?
- 44:45Speaker 6: What is it for?
- 44:47Speaker 5: Some things?
- 44:47Speaker 1: It's a super hot ass convection of And I think
- 44:50Speaker 1: I like you.
- 44:50Speaker 3: For making like French fries that aren't fried.
- 44:53Speaker 2: Yeah, I think the name is misleading, right, You're not
- 44:55Speaker 2: like you're not even coming close to replicating deep fried.
- 44:58Speaker 5: No, it's like it's a mini of them.
- 45:00Speaker 9: What it is like, You're not gonna bread some Walleye
- 45:02Speaker 9: fila and throw that you could?
- 45:04Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 45:05Speaker 2: Who owns one in here? Just seth? So we are
- 45:09Speaker 2: bringing the ownership uh way down.
- 45:12Speaker 3: Well, I'll tell you that the reason we have one
- 45:15Speaker 3: is because we watched our friend's dog for like a week,
- 45:18Speaker 3: and that's what they got us.
- 45:21Speaker 2: I'm confused about.
- 45:22Speaker 5: How yet thanks for watching our dog.
- 45:26Speaker 1: My daughter just made a little jingle watching the dog.
- 45:29Speaker 7: Yeah, did she get get a small appliance and.
- 45:33Speaker 1: Cold heart cash?
- 45:34Speaker 3: I don't know that I would buy one, but I
- 45:36Speaker 3: we do use it at least once a week, probably.
- 45:39Speaker 5: Phil, who you know? I told her all about gil.
- 45:44Speaker 4: Oh, yeah, she came to me about it, So.
- 45:50Speaker 5: I came to the door. Phil.
- 45:51Speaker 2: Who is left in the game. We are onto the
- 45:54Speaker 2: tenth question.
- 45:55Speaker 9: Well, Spencer, our master plan work because Steve no longer win. Okay,
- 46:00Speaker 9: but we've got Brody with six points and Randall with seven.
- 46:04Speaker 2: Question ten, the topic is woodsmanship. This next great question
- 46:08Speaker 2: is via Mitch Stonner. What's the name for a pointed
- 46:12Speaker 2: mineral formation that hangs from a cave ceiling?
- 46:16Speaker 4: Oh?
- 46:19Speaker 2: What's the name for the pointed mineral formation that hangs
- 46:23Speaker 2: from a cave ceiling? This is question ten. As a reminder,
- 46:27Speaker 2: the winner will get to make a one thousand dollars
- 46:29Speaker 2: donation via Meat Eater and Athletic Brewing.
- 46:33Speaker 1: Not now, I can do it. At this point though,
- 46:35Speaker 1: we're not going to revisit that earlier question.
- 46:37Speaker 2: No, I think we should give Steve that point the
- 46:39Speaker 2: National Monument.
- 46:40Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 46:40Speaker 2: Wait, then you'd lose by two points, I think, yeah,
- 46:43Speaker 2: instead of one.
- 46:45Speaker 4: No, because if you gave me that now you'd be
- 46:48Speaker 4: tied with Brody for second And what if he gets
- 46:50Speaker 4: it wrong?
- 46:51Speaker 7: Yeah, that's a good let's do it. Let's give Steve
- 46:55Speaker 7: the point.
- 46:57Speaker 2: Randall. Is there a chance you regret this in about
- 46:59Speaker 2: five minutes? No?
- 47:00Speaker 7: Because if I get it wrong, Brody would win.
- 47:03Speaker 2: Now do you know you guys don't have the same answer.
- 47:05Speaker 1: Yeah, let's revisit it and give me that point.
- 47:08Speaker 7: Let's do it.
- 47:09Speaker 2: Okay, Randall, Brody, how do you feel about this situation?
- 47:12Speaker 5: I don't care how. The only reason Randall's doing.
- 47:15Speaker 1: This because he knows he's no.
- 47:16Speaker 2: Damn well, he's got it right. Do you have it right? Randy?
- 47:19Speaker 2: I think so.
- 47:20Speaker 5: Well.
- 47:20Speaker 1: The shoes from Buddy, I know, that's what I'm saying.
- 47:24Speaker 7: I remember, Yes, that's what I think. I recall that.
- 47:28Speaker 7: You know I'm from just north of Big Time Cave Country, Kentucky,
- 47:35Speaker 7: Mammoth Cave. We did a lot of splunking as children.
- 47:39Speaker 1: No you didn't, Sure we did.
- 47:42Speaker 7: I believe we did some boy scout trips to the caves.
- 47:44Speaker 2: Yeah, All right. See if you got it right, we're
- 47:47Speaker 2: looking for the name of the pointed mineral formation that
- 47:50Speaker 2: hangs from a cave ceiling. Randall has now granted Steve
- 47:54Speaker 2: the point, So we would need Randall to get this
- 47:57Speaker 2: wrong and Brody or Steve to get this right to
- 48:00Speaker 2: go to overtime.
- 48:00Speaker 5: Is the wrong one.
- 48:03Speaker 2: It's mammoth caves a federal Uh, it's a federal federal park,
- 48:09Speaker 2: mammoth cave.
- 48:10Speaker 7: I'd like, I mean, this is kind of this is
- 48:12Speaker 7: a very politician move of me, but it was the
- 48:15Speaker 7: wrong answer, but you should get the point. Just to
- 48:18Speaker 7: make things interesting.
- 48:20Speaker 2: Is everybody ready, go ahead and reveal your answers. We
- 48:24Speaker 2: have set staying still leg tight, Marge staying still leg tight.
- 48:32Speaker 2: We sang still leg tight, Randall saying still leg tight.
- 48:37Speaker 2: Everyone said still leg tight.
- 48:39Speaker 5: Wow. Uh.
- 48:40Speaker 2: The correct answer is stalactight. Did anybody have a C
- 48:46Speaker 2: or did everybody have a G? Well? No, but it
- 48:50Speaker 2: then then you might be answering, uh, STI legg might
- 48:53Speaker 2: instead of stalact tight.
- 48:55Speaker 4: Yeah, so what's that doing? No that I got that
- 48:57Speaker 4: point it right.
- 49:01Speaker 7: Everybody spelled it the same way with a G spencer.
- 49:06Speaker 7: We're all winners now because we all learned something.
- 49:09Speaker 2: Okay, The correct answer was Stalactit s T A L
- 49:13Speaker 2: A C T I T E right. But there's only
- 49:16Speaker 2: one letter difference here in that.
- 49:18Speaker 5: But it's the T in the I think.
- 49:22Speaker 2: Everybody got it right. Everybody got this one right. The
- 49:25Speaker 2: easiest way to recall the difference between US stalactite and
- 49:28Speaker 2: stalagmite is by what since you said you remembered it well.
- 49:32Speaker 7: Stalag tight holds tight to the ceiling, and the stlag
- 49:35Speaker 7: might stands up mightily from the ground or something.
- 49:38Speaker 2: I think that's the wrong way. The way I would
- 49:40Speaker 2: remember it. The difference between.
- 49:44Speaker 7: How could it be the wrong way if it differ?
- 49:47Speaker 2: The difference between US stalactite and stillag might is by
- 49:51Speaker 2: remembering that stalactite has a C for ceiling and stalagmite
- 49:56Speaker 2: has a G for ground.
- 49:59Speaker 4: There you go obvious that rhyme about milk snakes and
- 50:05Speaker 4: coral snakes.
- 50:06Speaker 2: Yes, red.
- 50:10Speaker 1: Touch is black, You're okay, Jack, red touches yellow. You're
- 50:13Speaker 1: a dead fella.
- 50:15Speaker 2: Randall is our winner. With eight correct answers. He gets
- 50:19Speaker 2: to choose where the one thousand dollars donation goes. Randall,
- 50:24Speaker 2: what's it gonna be?
- 50:25Speaker 7: M Let's give it to uh Warriors and Quiet Waters.
- 50:31Speaker 2: I don't think we've donated to them before. What do
- 50:33Speaker 2: we like about Warriors and Quiet I just know.
- 50:36Speaker 7: That, uh, we're doing a lot of stuff with them,
- 50:39Speaker 7: and uh it's a good organization that has a lot
- 50:41Speaker 7: of local connections here and just trying to spread the wealth.
- 50:45Speaker 2: One thousand dollars going their way, that's right. I've seen
- 50:48Speaker 2: meat Eater has some events coming up where they, uh,
- 50:51Speaker 2: they're doing stuff with organization. Thanks to Athletic Brewing for
- 50:56Speaker 2: helping us make one of our biggest donations ever. Join
- 50:59Speaker 2: us now next time for more meat Eater Trivia, the
