Jackson County Public Health just added a new Bluebox in Raytown, stocked with life-saving tools like naloxone, fentanyl test strips, first aid kits, and hygiene supplies—all funded by opioid settlement money. Already, three boxes across the county have distributed over 5,000 items, including nearly 800 Narcan kits since March’s downtown Lee’s Summit launch. With overdoses rising and fentanyl making help harder to access, these free dispensers aim to keep people alive so they can eventually get the support they need.
