- 0:00Speaker 1: You're listening to Bill Handle on demand from KFI AM
- 0:04Speaker 1: six forty the South. Better stop singing about Epstein cover.
- 0:12Speaker 1: You don't talk about KFI AM six forty you will
- 0:18Speaker 1: handle here.
- 0:18Speaker 2: It is a Monday morning, December twenty two, and we
- 0:23Speaker 2: still have a ton of news. A lot of it,
- 0:28Speaker 2: and I mean big time has to do with the
- 0:30Speaker 2: initial release of the Epstein files. The other bit of
- 0:35Speaker 2: news is the fact that we have a massive storm
- 0:38Speaker 2: coming in and all the southern California is going to
- 0:40Speaker 2: float out to see. But we'll be talking about that
- 0:43Speaker 2: throughout the show and throughout the day. Back to the
- 0:46Speaker 2: Epstein files, and this is a cluster truck for the.
- 0:53Speaker 1: The Trump administration.
- 0:54Speaker 2: They have one point that I'm going to make, which
- 0:57Speaker 2: I agree with them, but I'll bring that up in
- 1:01Speaker 2: a minute. So back the latest batch of these files
- 1:08Speaker 2: were released. Now, this is after the President signed a
- 1:12Speaker 2: congressional order in which all of the files would be
- 1:16Speaker 2: released within thirty days, and the administration waited until virtually
- 1:21Speaker 2: the afternoon of the last day to release the files.
- 1:23Speaker 2: Were all of them released pursuant to that law, No,
- 1:27Speaker 2: of course not. And prior to that, I said, most
- 1:30Speaker 2: of them are not going to be released based on
- 1:33Speaker 2: the fact that Pam Bondi, the Attorney General, is going
- 1:35Speaker 2: to declare these are under investigation and therefore we can't
- 1:39Speaker 2: release them.
- 1:40Speaker 1: And that didn't happen.
- 1:41Speaker 2: But it was just a partial release, and a lot
- 1:44Speaker 2: of victims and advocates criticized the batch because it was
- 1:48Speaker 2: heavily redacted and didn't didn't contain revelations, and some lawmakers
- 1:56Speaker 2: said that the Department's failure to meet a thirty day
- 1:59Speaker 2: deadline as imposed by Congress, meant that the Trump administration
- 2:03Speaker 2: simply didn't adhere to the law. So here's what happened.
- 2:07Speaker 2: The initial release, Department removes from the online collection a
- 2:11Speaker 2: small number of photographs inside Epstein's home. One of them
- 2:16Speaker 2: shows a credenza with a number of pictures on the
- 2:20Speaker 2: credenza or at least in a drawer, including at least
- 2:24Speaker 2: one of Trump, immediately raising questions about whether the administration
- 2:28Speaker 2: was seeking to shield the president or not. By the way,
- 2:32Speaker 2: that was later reposted without comment on the well, the
- 2:37Speaker 2: comment was, we looked at it and we found there
- 2:41Speaker 2: was no wrongdoing by the president and is to protect
- 2:47Speaker 2: everyone involved, especially the victims. Now, the Justice Department said
- 2:54Speaker 2: more documents would be released in the coming weeks, and
- 2:58Speaker 2: it is complying with this law, bipartisan law that required
- 3:02Speaker 2: the entire record, with very few exceptions, to be released,
- 3:08Speaker 2: which the administration had promised to do, and it didn't do.
- 3:12Speaker 1: What a shocker.
- 3:14Speaker 2: Now, the Deputy Attorney General, Todd Blanche, who is the
- 3:17Speaker 2: guy who went out and interviewed Julane Maxwell by the
- 3:20Speaker 2: way in prison, and then all of a sudden, after
- 3:22Speaker 2: the interview, she gets transferred to a minimum security prison,
- 3:27Speaker 2: which no sexual predator ever is. Anyway, he said that
- 3:32Speaker 2: the Justice Department is trying to comply, but it was
- 3:34Speaker 2: a gargantuan task and it had to be done very
- 3:37Speaker 2: carefully to protect the victims. And then he went on
- 3:40Speaker 2: to say, you're talking about a million pages or so,
- 3:43Speaker 2: and virtually all of them contained victim information, and they're
- 3:46Speaker 2: going out of their way to protect the victims. Now,
- 3:50Speaker 2: he said the administration would not remove any mention of
- 3:54Speaker 2: Trump from the files as they continue to be released
- 3:58Speaker 2: in the coming weeks. Well, let me ask you, if
- 4:00Speaker 2: there is nothing untoward, if it shows that Donald Trump
- 4:06Speaker 2: did not engage in any of those horrific acts of
- 4:10Speaker 2: child the predation that right, the word that he is
- 4:15Speaker 2: not a predator or was aware of or obviously engaged,
- 4:19Speaker 2: and that that is terrible, that would cause him his presidency.
- 4:22Speaker 1: Why did they fight to keep it to protect the victims?
- 4:29Speaker 1: You know, that wasn't the case before.
- 4:31Speaker 2: Protecting the victims was never in the cards, not when
- 4:36Speaker 2: the administration was going when it wasn't the administration during
- 4:39Speaker 2: the campaign, when it was pushing very hard for the
- 4:43Speaker 2: Biden administration to release those file. As a matter of fact,
- 4:46Speaker 2: that was part of Donald Trump's campaign where he said
- 4:51Speaker 2: the files, the files, and the Republicans kept on saying
- 4:55Speaker 2: the files, the files. Why isn't Joe Biden releasing the files?
- 5:00Speaker 2: And that, by the way, is a very good question,
- 5:03Speaker 2: because if Biden had those files and he's running against
- 5:08Speaker 2: Donald Trump, why wouldn't you release those files if there
- 5:11Speaker 2: was a problem with Donald Trump? I mean, that would
- 5:13Speaker 2: give him information that would give the Republicans some ammunition.
- 5:17Speaker 1: So that's a question.
- 5:19Speaker 2: So anyway, he said a million pages and this is
- 5:22Speaker 2: Todd Blanche and that the administration would not remove any
- 5:26Speaker 2: mentions of Trump as they continued to be released in
- 5:29Speaker 2: the coming weeks.
- 5:30Speaker 1: I don't know if you believe that I do not.
- 5:32Speaker 2: There is no question in my mind that any negative
- 5:36Speaker 2: information about Trump is not going to be released, which
- 5:40Speaker 2: again I don't understand why would you hide the files.
- 5:45Speaker 1: If that's the case, wouldn't you just release them?
- 5:50Speaker 2: And even Republicans in Congress and members of MAGA his
- 5:57Speaker 2: base are saying, you got to release all of files.
- 6:01Speaker 1: This is not political, guys.
- 6:05Speaker 2: This is connected to a man who raped and trafficked
- 6:09Speaker 2: fourteen year olds, and yet somehow it's become a political issue.
- 6:18Speaker 2: So later on, this is Sunday, the Justice Department republishes
- 6:23Speaker 2: the deleted image of that credenza and saying there was
- 6:27Speaker 2: no evidence that any victims are depicted in the photograph,
- 6:31Speaker 2: and it was reposted, no alteration, no redaction. Now, who
- 6:36Speaker 2: is fighting to have those files be made public released?
- 6:41Speaker 2: How about Representative Thomas Massey, Kentucky Republican wrote that original
- 6:47Speaker 2: legislation about the Epstein files being released, and you've got
- 6:52Speaker 2: Republicans just lined up. Massey said that he believed the
- 6:58Speaker 2: most expeditious to get justice for these victims is to
- 7:03Speaker 2: bring contempt against Pam Bondi because she is the one
- 7:06Speaker 2: that's holding the files and she has been all over
- 7:11Speaker 2: this story why because she was asked about it and
- 7:15Speaker 2: she said, yep, the files are on my desk and
- 7:18Speaker 2: I'm going to look at him. And then the files
- 7:20Speaker 2: didn't exist, and then the files have to be looked
- 7:23Speaker 2: at and will release some of them, but not all
- 7:25Speaker 2: of them. And then it took an Act of Congress
- 7:29Speaker 2: to force the issue, and still the.
- 7:31Speaker 1: Files are not being released in totality.
- 7:35Speaker 2: And so what Massey and others are saying, We're going
- 7:38Speaker 2: to hold Pambondy in in contempt of Congress. That's what
- 7:44Speaker 2: we're going to do. Because there it is. We're going
- 7:48Speaker 2: to take a break. I want to talk about the
- 7:49Speaker 2: reaction from the right from MAGA as well as moving
- 7:56Speaker 2: on with holding.
- 7:57Speaker 1: Pambondy in contempt.
- 7:59Speaker 2: I mean, this thing is blowing up on the Republican
- 8:01Speaker 2: side and it is not helping the Trump administration.
- 8:05Speaker 1: At all, and is very easy answer. It is.
- 8:08Speaker 2: But the Trump administration certainly isn't following that line of thinking.
- 8:14Speaker 2: They're just not doing it okay, the Epstein files. As
- 8:19Speaker 2: I said, keep in mind that the Epstein release of
- 8:22Speaker 2: the Epstein files was a huge campaign issue for the
- 8:27Speaker 2: Trump campaign. As a matter of fact, Trump ran on
- 8:30Speaker 2: that as addition to inflation and a few other points.
- 8:34Speaker 1: And so the right wing supporters of Trump.
- 8:38Speaker 2: Have traditionally been among the most ardent advocates for releasing
- 8:42Speaker 2: the files. Why because they were convinced that the documents
- 8:46Speaker 2: would have evidence that there was a cabal of prominent men,
- 8:50Speaker 2: mostly Democrats, of course, had joined Epstein in abusing the
- 8:55Speaker 2: young women and covering up their crimes. All right, so
- 9:00Speaker 2: the files are released, no evidence whatsoever of a cabal
- 9:07Speaker 2: or even Donald Trump having done anything wrong. So all
- 9:12Speaker 2: of a sudden, they shut up. All of a sudden,
- 9:16Speaker 2: Now we're not talking about it. They won't even respond
- 9:20Speaker 2: to it. By the way, even Trump throughout the weekend
- 9:25Speaker 2: and Donald Trump responds to everything, refrain from commenting at all.
- 9:32Speaker 2: They're hoping this disappears, and it is not going to disappear,
- 9:36Speaker 2: not at all.
- 9:38Speaker 1: A lot of those files that were released.
- 9:40Speaker 2: Included some of Trump's most prominent political adversaries, including President
- 9:46Speaker 2: Bill Clinton, and again no evidence whatsoever. There is a
- 9:49Speaker 2: photo of Clinton that was made up public and this
- 9:53Speaker 2: was after Trump ordered the Justice Department last month to
- 9:57Speaker 2: investigate any ties between the former president cident and other Democrats.
- 10:01Speaker 1: This is all about Democrats.
- 10:04Speaker 2: If there's any wrongdoing, it is the Democrats who were
- 10:08Speaker 2: connected to Epstein and were part and parcel of either
- 10:11Speaker 2: being involved, which of course they weren't.
- 10:12Speaker 1: I don't even think he made that accusation or covering
- 10:15Speaker 1: it up.
- 10:16Speaker 2: And all of a sudden, note doesn't exist, and the well,
- 10:22Speaker 2: the White House, this is Friday, try to make some
- 10:25Speaker 2: political Hey, Abigail Jackson, Whitehouse spokeswoman, said, we did see something,
- 10:33Speaker 2: She writes in a social media post above the image
- 10:36Speaker 2: of Clint A. Clinton in a hot tub. We did
- 10:40Speaker 2: see something, just not what you wanted, no context, nothing,
- 10:47Speaker 2: just him in a hot tub. And by the way,
- 10:50Speaker 2: if you look at the Epstein photos, who he ran circle,
- 10:56Speaker 2: ran around with, in his circle, his orbit, Michael Jackson,
- 11:00Speaker 2: and you've got Woody Allen, you have Bill Clinton.
- 11:04Speaker 1: You have so many figures.
- 11:06Speaker 2: If there's a big name, it's there on both sides
- 11:09Speaker 2: of the aisle. And it's just people who are famous.
- 11:14Speaker 2: And we do know that Epstein and Trump were close
- 11:16Speaker 2: friends for years, and then the President's reluctance to release
- 11:21Speaker 2: those files, all of a sudden people were speculating about
- 11:25Speaker 2: whether they prominently featured Trump.
- 11:28Speaker 1: I'll tell you what I think is happening.
- 11:29Speaker 2: And this is simply my guess and why the administration
- 11:33Speaker 2: is so reluctant to now share these files after they
- 11:37Speaker 2: insisted they were going to and demanded they be released
- 11:40Speaker 2: all of.
- 11:40Speaker 1: A sudden, oops, maybe not.
- 11:43Speaker 2: Is that it's going to show the president much closer
- 11:48Speaker 2: to Epstein than was previously thought or.
- 11:50Speaker 1: Reported any wrongdoing. I don't believe it.
- 11:55Speaker 2: I don't think there's any evidence connecting him to the
- 11:59Speaker 2: section will Epstein being a sexual predator, having anything to
- 12:03Speaker 2: do with having sex with young women and part of
- 12:06Speaker 2: the trafficking, and I don't believe that for a second.
- 12:08Speaker 2: But I do believe that you're going to see Epstein
- 12:11Speaker 2: and Trump very close and taking pictures with a lot
- 12:16Speaker 2: of these women. And the reason I don't think so is,
- 12:20Speaker 2: by the way, I'm not talking morality here. It's simply
- 12:24Speaker 2: the evidence that we have Epstein's brother and they were
- 12:27Speaker 2: a strange said that when Epstein and Trump used to
- 12:31Speaker 2: hang together, what they used to do is hang with models.
- 12:36Speaker 1: That's Trump's thing is models in their twenties.
- 12:42Speaker 2: Not anybody younger, not anybody older, just these gorgeous women
- 12:46Speaker 2: in their twenties. And that's so who Epstein and Trump
- 12:50Speaker 2: would frolic with. But we sort of knew that. I mean,
- 12:53Speaker 2: does anybody not know who the president was when he
- 12:57Speaker 2: was elected? I mean, was that any kind of news?
- 13:00Speaker 1: It was not so.
- 13:01Speaker 2: In the meantime, Pam Bondi, who is at the head
- 13:04Speaker 2: of all this, she's holding those files?
- 13:06Speaker 1: Is the Department of Justice who has those files? She
- 13:09Speaker 1: can release them.
- 13:11Speaker 2: She is being very cagey about it, to the point
- 13:14Speaker 2: where Congress, a couple of Congress people are looking to
- 13:18Speaker 2: file or hold her in contempt of Congress because the
- 13:21Speaker 2: files have not been released in total, even though it
- 13:24Speaker 2: was promised to be released, even though the administration said
- 13:27Speaker 2: they were going to be released, all of a said, no,
- 13:31Speaker 2: We're going to see what happens in the next few days.
- 13:33Speaker 1: About that, all right.
- 13:36Speaker 2: There is a survey, a holiday stress survey that's done
- 13:39Speaker 2: every year, and this is the twenty twenty five survey.
- 13:42Speaker 2: It comes out of an organization called New Growth Therapy.
- 13:49Speaker 2: And here is what the survey says. And it's about
- 13:52Speaker 2: you and me. And this is mainly I think aimed
- 13:57Speaker 2: at Amy, mainly because the plane on the strain and
- 14:02Speaker 2: Amy that doesn't work in any case for a lot
- 14:06Speaker 2: of people.
- 14:06Speaker 1: The holidays are the.
- 14:07Speaker 2: Best time of the year, like Amy's case, but at
- 14:11Speaker 2: the same time, keeping your head above water is not
- 14:14Speaker 2: so easy. And Amy point this out or respond spending
- 14:19Speaker 2: socializing in November and December can really be a challenge.
- 14:24Speaker 1: Is that fair to say?
- 14:25Speaker 2: Hmm?
- 14:27Speaker 1: Okay, thank you. The survey found that a lot.
- 14:31Speaker 2: Of people will try to put on a happy face. Eh,
- 14:33Speaker 2: you you may actually feel overwhelmed. I can see how
- 14:37Speaker 2: overwhelmed you are, Amy, You are dripping with overwhelmingness. I
- 14:43Speaker 2: can yeah, yeah, I can actually see it.
- 14:45Speaker 1: I'm totally not.
- 14:46Speaker 3: My Christmas shopping is done, everything's ready to go. The
- 14:50Speaker 3: only thing stressful now is in my cat sick, So
- 14:52Speaker 3: I'm trying to figure out, you know, what am I
- 14:53Speaker 3: gonna do with her?
- 14:55Speaker 2: What else do you do with the said cat? What
- 14:56Speaker 2: do you think do you take care of? There's a
- 14:58Speaker 2: holiday gift for you, you put it down Merry Christmas?
- 15:04Speaker 1: Okay, Well that alarts me out. Thanks a lot, Bill.
- 15:08Speaker 1: See there you go? All right?
- 15:11Speaker 2: So here are some stats I want to throw at you,
- 15:13Speaker 2: because this gets pretty serious. Thirty two percent of us
- 15:17Speaker 2: feel worse mentally or emotionally during the holiday season. No
- 15:23Speaker 2: surprise there, Family and relationship dynamic. Thirty six percent are
- 15:30Speaker 2: a negative weather or reduced daylight affecting your mood. Well,
- 15:34Speaker 2: the weather certainly, and then we're still in the standard
- 15:36Speaker 2: time and I know people that are still reeling from that.
- 15:39Speaker 2: Financial pressure is interesting enough, only thirty percent of folks
- 15:44Speaker 2: and financial pressures.
- 15:45Speaker 1: And we've been doing.
- 15:46Speaker 2: Stories on so many people that are suffering now and
- 15:49Speaker 2: because of inflation and there it's just not a good time.
- 15:53Speaker 2: And so thirty four percent talk with friends, family, and coworkers,
- 15:58Speaker 2: and even that puts added stress on you. And why
- 16:04Speaker 2: because in reality, I want to point this out. You
- 16:06Speaker 2: may not know this, you may be fooling yourself, but
- 16:09Speaker 2: your friends, your family, your coworkers are a bunch of
- 16:13Speaker 2: losers and what they're They're out.
- 16:16Speaker 1: There to make you feel miserable. Do you understand that?
- 16:19Speaker 2: And when you finally get that, you're on your way
- 16:22Speaker 2: to mental health. A lot of stress, okay, And the
- 16:28Speaker 2: stress and no surprise here builds quicker for people who
- 16:31Speaker 2: have to manage multiple high priority needs all at once, work, family,
- 16:35Speaker 2: their own health, taking care of parents. So you would
- 16:38Speaker 2: think gen xers forty five to six years old, they
- 16:43Speaker 2: have it the roughest raising a family caring for aging
- 16:46Speaker 2: parents in the middle of their careers and more likely
- 16:50Speaker 2: than other generations to say they feel worse mentally and emotionally, and.
- 16:56Speaker 1: So there's a lot of stress.
- 16:58Speaker 2: I believe in the stress part of it myself because
- 17:00Speaker 2: I see people out there, see I'm really connected to
- 17:04Speaker 2: people feeling miserable because, as you know, I really enjoy
- 17:08Speaker 2: your misery. That is part and parcel of my life.
- 17:11Speaker 2: That is how I go through life. By the way,
- 17:14Speaker 2: this is being called stressflation, the stressflation season.
- 17:18Speaker 1: That's kind of neat. I like that.
- 17:21Speaker 2: And the bottom line is deep prioritizing therapy people who
- 17:27Speaker 2: are in therapy. And I've been in therapy now for
- 17:31Speaker 2: I don't know thirty years. Let me tell you something.
- 17:36Speaker 2: Any Jew who has any amount of money is in therapy.
- 17:38Speaker 2: I mean, that's just sort of a given. It's part
- 17:41Speaker 2: of life. As a matter of fact, I pay for
- 17:43Speaker 2: my therapist's therapists and it still hasn't helped. Forty six
- 17:50Speaker 2: percent of people who have been in therapy delay or
- 17:52Speaker 2: pause sessions at the end of the year because of
- 17:55Speaker 2: other obligations. Not so much money, but other obligations. And
- 18:01Speaker 2: would you guess that younger therapy clients are likely to
- 18:04Speaker 2: deport deep prioritize therapy. Yeah, the younger you are, the
- 18:10Speaker 2: more you're not going to go to therapy. So that's
- 18:14Speaker 2: a big story. And then you have all kinds of
- 18:18Speaker 2: stats which I'm not going to get into, but the
- 18:21Speaker 2: bottom line is there are two types of people who
- 18:26Speaker 2: talk and feel about the holidays, and so it all
- 18:30Speaker 2: boils down to two types of people and that's it.
- 18:33Speaker 1: People who.
- 18:36Speaker 2: Say they enjoy the holidays and liars.
- 18:43Speaker 1: And that's the bottom line.
- 18:45Speaker 2: Amy, and then Will and then Kno and even Michelle.
- 18:48Speaker 2: After the holidays are over, we're going to come back
- 18:51Speaker 2: come first week of January, the first Monday of January,
- 18:55Speaker 2: and I'm going to ask you the same question. And
- 18:58Speaker 2: I'm going to ask you the question who is your
- 19:00Speaker 2: favorite character in literature?
- 19:04Speaker 1: Really quickly?
- 19:05Speaker 2: Let me do that, Amy, who's your favorite character in literature?
- 19:11Speaker 1: Dude? Doo du do dud don't do? I know, I understand.
- 19:16Speaker 1: There's a quick question. Cono, who's yours. I'm gonna go
- 19:20Speaker 1: with JC.
- 19:21Speaker 2: Okay, uh okay, fair enough? And uh Will your favorite
- 19:25Speaker 2: character in all of literature?
- 19:28Speaker 1: Tom um? What's his name?
- 19:31Speaker 2: Exactly? Well said and good memory. And my favorite character
- 19:37Speaker 2: at all of literature. And tell me you're not surprised
- 19:40Speaker 2: by this is ere.
- 19:44Speaker 1: Your fitting line is crap, I'm miserable. You're miserable. Oh man.
- 19:54Speaker 2: Okay, a holiday tipping. That's another thing that causes a
- 19:58Speaker 2: lot of stress. Just did a story on and stress
- 20:00Speaker 2: during the holidays and holiday tipping.
- 20:02Speaker 1: I mean, how do you tip? How much do you tip?
- 20:05Speaker 2: You know?
- 20:05Speaker 1: One of the things that bothers the hell out of me.
- 20:07Speaker 1: And this happens.
- 20:08Speaker 2: Everything, no matter what house I have lived in over
- 20:11Speaker 2: the years, and I have the paper delivered.
- 20:14Speaker 1: And I'm one of those weird ones.
- 20:16Speaker 2: That still have the paper delivered on weekends because I enjoy,
- 20:21Speaker 2: you know, feeling the paper. I enjoy the tactile sensation
- 20:24Speaker 2: of the paper and the ink coming off one of
- 20:29Speaker 2: my fingers. And then you know the bagel I cooked
- 20:32Speaker 2: with the black stripes on it because of the ink.
- 20:33Speaker 1: I mean, it's just a wonderful thing. So what do
- 20:36Speaker 1: I get?
- 20:36Speaker 2: And I'm assuming that if you have the paper delivered,
- 20:38Speaker 2: you get the same thing. And that is in the
- 20:40Speaker 2: mailbox a holiday card from the paper boy or the
- 20:45Speaker 2: paper man or the paper whoever delivers it, paper woman
- 20:49Speaker 2: and in the card is an envelope that is folded
- 20:53Speaker 2: up and stamped with the deliverer's address and name. So
- 21:00Speaker 2: we can put in some cash and then give it
- 21:04Speaker 2: to the mail it in and so expecting a tip, Well,
- 21:11Speaker 2: I tip every year. I send back the envelope. And
- 21:16Speaker 2: what I do is I put in a card and
- 21:18Speaker 2: I say, here's your tip, plant your corn in the spring.
- 21:25Speaker 2: I hate tipping like that. When it's expected, it's demanded,
- 21:31Speaker 2: the same thing with restaurants. Look where restaurants have come,
- 21:34Speaker 2: they've added they always sort of add a tip thing
- 21:38Speaker 2: for as long as I remember at the bottom, but
- 21:39Speaker 2: they give you suggested tips. And it used to be
- 21:42Speaker 2: ten percent, fifteen percent, eighteen percent. Now the restaurants are
- 21:47Speaker 2: putting the tip starting at starting at twenty or twenty
- 21:51Speaker 2: two percent. And so what do I do well where
- 21:56Speaker 2: the tip is, I simply write are you kidding? And
- 22:01Speaker 2: then sometimes I add plant your corn in the spring,
- 22:04Speaker 2: depending on how much room there is on that receipt.
- 22:09Speaker 1: And who do you tip? I mean, that's another.
- 22:12Speaker 2: Thing, okay, the waiters you tip? Do you go get
- 22:17Speaker 2: your hair done? Do you tip the hairdresser? Of course
- 22:21Speaker 2: you do? Do you tip your gardener. Now I have
- 22:26Speaker 2: a gardener at home, and what I do is I
- 22:29Speaker 2: don't tip him. I give him a tip that ice
- 22:34Speaker 2: is right around the corner. That's the best tip I
- 22:37Speaker 2: can give him. Here's a tip for you. Don't go
- 22:41Speaker 2: down that street, go up this street. I don't know
- 22:46Speaker 2: who to tip, and most people don't, so there's a
- 22:50Speaker 2: list here. And of course this was given by somebody
- 22:53Speaker 2: wrote about this. It was in finance dot Yahoo. Babysitter nanny,
- 22:59Speaker 2: onepical session a week's pay.
- 23:02Speaker 1: Who can afford a babysitter anymore?
- 23:05Speaker 2: You know, when I was growing up, it was fifty
- 23:08Speaker 2: cents an hour, and it was a dollar an hour.
- 23:13Speaker 2: I think when I was really young it was a
- 23:15Speaker 2: dollar an hour minimum wage and it was fifty cents
- 23:17Speaker 2: an hour. What does the babysitter cost today?
- 23:21Speaker 1: Twenty five an hour? Thirty dollars an hour.
- 23:24Speaker 2: I mean, let the kids rock, you know, you know,
- 23:28Speaker 2: let somebody call child protective services. Leave me alone if
- 23:31Speaker 2: you think I'm going to pay twenty five dollars an hour,
- 23:34Speaker 2: and on top of that, leave a tip.
- 23:38Speaker 1: Caregiver.
- 23:39Speaker 2: I don't even want to talk about how much money
- 23:41Speaker 2: caregivers get house cleaner. Oh Yeah, they need a tip.
- 23:45Speaker 2: They make more money than I do on personal trainer
- 23:51Speaker 2: one session. Well, I have a personal trainer, and I
- 23:55Speaker 2: actually work out three times a week, and I have
- 23:58Speaker 2: a trainer because I won't do it by myself.
- 24:00Speaker 1: I need the motivation.
- 24:01Speaker 2: I will not do one less I'm paying for it.
- 24:04Speaker 2: It's very strange. It's a whole psychological thing. So Amy,
- 24:08Speaker 2: do you tip during the holiday season?
- 24:12Speaker 3: M not really. I mean like I got for my hairdresser,
- 24:17Speaker 3: I gave her a present instead of a tip.
- 24:20Speaker 2: Yeah. That's the other thing is sometimes what's appropriate is
- 24:24Speaker 2: not money, but a thoughtful gift.
- 24:27Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 24:27Speaker 3: I don't tip my mailman. I don't know my mailman,
- 24:29Speaker 3: and I don't think I have the same one all
- 24:31Speaker 3: the time.
- 24:32Speaker 2: Yeah, we have a mailman. I don't tip him. I'm
- 24:36Speaker 2: in my new house now year two. I don't tip him,
- 24:39Speaker 2: and we're in a mail box down the street. I
- 24:41Speaker 2: cannot tell you how many times I've seen my mail
- 24:44Speaker 2: on the on the pavement and I think I'm going
- 24:47Speaker 2: to have to start tipping him just so I can
- 24:50Speaker 2: get the mail.
- 24:52Speaker 1: I tip my mailman. You know what I do?
- 24:55Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 24:55Speaker 3: No, I buy scratchers because there's a chance they might
- 24:59Speaker 3: win some money, and it's.
- 25:00Speaker 2: Like, yeah, no, that's that's actually and they're a buck
- 25:03Speaker 2: apiece or two dollars each.
- 25:04Speaker 1: Yeah, we'll do a five dollars ten dollars scratcher.
- 25:07Speaker 2: Oh yeah, and then when they win five million dollars,
- 25:11Speaker 2: you kick yourself in the ass, right, yes, true?
- 25:15Speaker 1: Okay KF I am six forty. You've been listening to
- 25:19Speaker 1: The Bill Handle Show.
- 25:20Speaker 2: Catch my Show Monday through Friday, six am to nine am,
- 25:24Speaker 2: and anytime on demand on the iHeartRadio app.
