- 0:00Speaker 1: This is the Ben and Ashley I Almost Famous Podcast
- 0:03Speaker 1: with iHeartRadio.
- 0:06Speaker 2: Hey everyone, welcome to the Almost Famous Podcast. Today is
- 0:09Speaker 2: a special episode because there is so many bachelor headlines
- 0:12Speaker 2: going on that we wanted to dedicate a whole podcast
- 0:15Speaker 2: to it. Ben's here and Ben with the headlines is
- 0:18Speaker 2: a kind of about you.
- 0:20Speaker 3: Goodness gracious, Yeah, we really wanted to jump on and
- 0:24Speaker 3: talk about all of this stuff.
- 0:25Speaker 2: Should we start with that one?
- 0:27Speaker 3: Nah, Let's start with this one. Claire Crawley has a
- 0:30Speaker 3: gender reveal and it's a girl.
- 0:32Speaker 2: Why is it that? Like I didn't even think that
- 0:34Speaker 2: there was a possibility of Claire having a boy, Like
- 0:37Speaker 2: in my head she announced that they were having a
- 0:39Speaker 2: baby and it was a girl, Like there was there
- 0:41Speaker 2: was just there's no way that Claire Crawley is having
- 0:45Speaker 2: a boy.
- 0:46Speaker 3: It is a girl. She has revealed it. Her and
- 0:49Speaker 3: her husband are very excited. This is just crazy to me.
- 0:52Speaker 3: It really is crazy to me, Ashley that now we
- 0:55Speaker 3: sit here and we talk about Claire Crawley being a mother,
- 0:59Speaker 3: Like it feels like we were just talking about her
- 1:01Speaker 3: having a breakup, and then we talked about how her
- 1:04Speaker 3: having a wedding, where like finally it happened, and now
- 1:07Speaker 3: she's a mom. It's like Claire has grown up in
- 1:10Speaker 3: front of our eyes in the last eighteen months, and
- 1:12Speaker 3: it's such a cool thing to see.
- 1:14Speaker 2: It's really honest, is when something starts rolling for people,
- 1:17Speaker 2: really starts to roll, do you know what I mean?
- 1:19Speaker 2: And I love it for her. She has such feminine energy.
- 1:22Speaker 2: She's so maternal. I can only imagine how well she'll
- 1:26Speaker 2: raise a little woman.
- 1:28Speaker 3: Oh, it's gonna be great.
- 1:29Speaker 2: Should we say how we did it? She did it okay,
- 1:32Speaker 2: So it's really cool. I guess like a lot of
- 1:34Speaker 2: people do the whole pink cake or blue cake on
- 1:37Speaker 2: the inside, but she did it in like such a
- 1:40Speaker 2: cool way. You have to see her Instagram. She did
- 1:43Speaker 2: it so slowly and it's so artistically the cut of
- 1:46Speaker 2: this cake. But she says she knew one hundred percent
- 1:49Speaker 2: in her soul that it was going to be a girl.
- 1:53Speaker 3: How does how do moms know this, Ashley?
- 1:56Speaker 2: I don't know. I definitely knew I was gonna have
- 1:58Speaker 2: a boy, and in my head, I just know the
- 2:01Speaker 2: next one's going to be a boy too, Like there's
- 2:04Speaker 2: no doubt in my mind. I even refer to him
- 2:06Speaker 2: as him wild. I mean, I might be wrong, I
- 2:10Speaker 2: might be wrong, but.
- 2:13Speaker 3: I mean that is just like really crazy because I
- 2:17Speaker 3: feel like I hear this all the time where somebody's
- 2:18Speaker 3: like the mom always says like, I know it's a boy,
- 2:21Speaker 3: and then usually always is. I don't have many gender
- 2:25Speaker 3: reveal examples to pull back in my life on, but
- 2:27Speaker 3: I do have a few, and it feels like the
- 2:30Speaker 3: mom always knows. The dad has no clue, He's just guess.
- 2:35Speaker 3: We have some breakup rumors to get to today. We
- 2:37Speaker 3: also have an interview with Lauren Lane formerly Lauren Bushnell.
- 2:45Speaker 3: She came on Sean's podcast, and Sean did bring that
- 2:48Speaker 3: up to us when he came on our podcast talking
- 2:50Speaker 3: about his recent developments in life. Let's start with this
- 2:54Speaker 3: breakup rumor. Though Greg and Victoria, this is a couple
- 3:00Speaker 3: obviously came off of Paradise, Bachelor Nation had let's just say,
- 3:07Speaker 3: a dramatic response to their relationship because obviously Victoria was
- 3:12Speaker 3: in a relationship going into the final episode. Then rumors
- 3:15Speaker 3: started to fly that her and Greg were together. Then
- 3:18Speaker 3: it got posted on social media that they were hanging out,
- 3:20Speaker 3: and then publicly they came on the show and showed
- 3:23Speaker 3: that they had matching tattoos and they were in love
- 3:26Speaker 3: and their relationship blossom from there. But Bachelor Nation fans
- 3:30Speaker 3: now are thinking they're broken up.
- 3:34Speaker 2: Well not anymore, okay. So it had been circulating for
- 3:37Speaker 2: quite some time because Victoria went seven weeks without posting Greg, which,
- 3:44Speaker 2: to be honest, is a really long time when you're
- 3:48Speaker 2: in a relationship where you're both from Bachelor Nation, right
- 3:52Speaker 2: and you're known for Josh relationships. So it was on
- 3:56Speaker 2: his birthday about seven weeks ago that she said happy birthday,
- 4:00Speaker 2: I love you, and then there was very few of
- 4:02Speaker 2: the two of them present together on social media. Greg
- 4:06Speaker 2: was doing a lot of his like BROI posts with
- 4:09Speaker 2: his guys from his season, and fans were commenting stuff
- 4:13Speaker 2: like that you could break up single. Greg is back.
- 4:17Speaker 2: But just this week Victoria posted a whole little slide
- 4:22Speaker 2: show on her Instagram feed that they're together now. She
- 4:26Speaker 2: first posted a couple of stories to your Instagram which
- 4:30Speaker 2: seemed like they could have been throwbacks, and then people
- 4:33Speaker 2: were like, oh, they're just trying to give it more
- 4:35Speaker 2: time before they announced. But then she posted something that
- 4:39Speaker 2: seemed very in the moment to her feed.
- 4:42Speaker 3: So do you think Ashley knowing this world, knowing the
- 4:45Speaker 3: couples that exist within this world, knowing how the couples
- 4:48Speaker 3: try to operate. Do you think there was a rough patch?
- 4:51Speaker 3: Do you just think they were traveling separately and doing
- 4:53Speaker 3: their own things for a bit, which is totally healthy
- 4:55Speaker 3: for couples to do. Or do you just think they
- 4:59Speaker 3: weren't posting.
- 5:02Speaker 2: If I were to assume, I would assume that they
- 5:05Speaker 2: probably went through a rough patch.
- 5:07Speaker 3: Yeah. Well, I mean a lot of the Bachelor Nation
- 5:09Speaker 3: couples have gone through rough patches. In fact, Jojo and
- 5:12Speaker 3: Jordan came on this podcast and mentioned how they were
- 5:15Speaker 3: kind of at a breaking point where they said, were
- 5:17Speaker 3: either going to end this thing or we're going to
- 5:19Speaker 3: stay together and make it work. But I think every
- 5:22Speaker 3: relationship like it isn't shocking, nor is it a headline.
- 5:27Speaker 3: If a couple goes through a tough patch in life
- 5:30Speaker 3: and they make it through, usually you're stronger for it.
- 5:33Speaker 2: It's true. That is so true.
- 5:36Speaker 3: Well, this next headline is so speaking. Yeah. So Caitlin
- 5:42Speaker 3: and Jason is another couple the Bachelor Nation has increasingly
- 5:47Speaker 3: been talking about here over the last few weeks leading
- 5:51Speaker 3: up to the last two days, where it feels like
- 5:54Speaker 3: these rumors are getting hotter and hotter, and it feels
- 5:58Speaker 3: like the public is starting to tap into something they
- 6:01Speaker 3: believe now is true and it's not just a rumor.
- 6:04Speaker 3: But Caitlin and Jason are rumored to be broken up now.
- 6:11Speaker 3: I don't know if we call this a rough patch
- 6:13Speaker 3: because right now we don't have any examples of the
- 6:16Speaker 3: two of them together publicly in quite some time, but
- 6:21Speaker 3: actually breakdown where these rumors started and kind of what
- 6:24Speaker 3: we know today.
- 6:26Speaker 2: Well, I think there's probably been rumors speculating since they started.
- 6:30Speaker 3: It feels like you're there are always rumors about breakups.
- 6:34Speaker 2: I think there's probably been a lot this year because
- 6:37Speaker 2: they've been like pretty vocal about not being keen on
- 6:41Speaker 2: wedding planning. Because at first they were pretty gun hoe
- 6:44Speaker 2: about wedding planning, you know, and then they kind of stopped,
- 6:50Speaker 2: and it seemed like they backtracked. When they stopped, it
- 6:53Speaker 2: wasn't like, oh, we're just going to do something small,
- 6:55Speaker 2: we'll figure out on our time. It was almost like
- 6:57Speaker 2: they were saying that they weren't like excited about wedding plans,
- 7:00Speaker 2: and like whenever they'd sit down to two of them,
- 7:03Speaker 2: they just would decide not to do it when that
- 7:05Speaker 2: was the initial intention, and then they were just like,
- 7:08Speaker 2: you know, she's always been open about what's going on
- 7:11Speaker 2: on her podcast, and they did podcasts together and there
- 7:13Speaker 2: was always there was there was some tension in some
- 7:16Speaker 2: of them.
- 7:17Speaker 3: Does she talk about this on our podcast?
- 7:19Speaker 2: I don't know when she's last talked about her relationship
- 7:22Speaker 2: with Jason, but you know, she's honest about like little
- 7:25Speaker 2: tips that they'd have. So I think that the fandom
- 7:31Speaker 2: right now is like, Okay, you guys have been more
- 7:35Speaker 2: so than ever not posting about each other, especially over
- 7:38Speaker 2: the past two months. The last time I think they
- 7:40Speaker 2: were photographed together was in June, like mid June, at
- 7:45Speaker 2: like a music festival, and it was an event. And
- 7:48Speaker 2: this week the two of them were on separate vacations
- 7:50Speaker 2: and Caitlyn has posted multiple things on Instagram that have
- 7:54Speaker 2: led us to think that she's having quite the emotional week.
- 7:58Speaker 2: She posted one thing about her crying like Instagram versus
- 8:01Speaker 2: Reality moment, and a couple other things about just like
- 8:07Speaker 2: her mental space. You know, if she posted the lyrics
- 8:10Speaker 2: of her song that came out I think it was
- 8:13Speaker 2: three or four years ago.
- 8:15Speaker 3: Yeah, so I'm oblivious to the reality or the truth
- 8:20Speaker 3: to the situation, but I you know, it was intriguing
- 8:23Speaker 3: back in the day when we kind of came out
- 8:25Speaker 3: with a headline that she was on a wellness retreat.
- 8:28Speaker 3: Now I am at the time you see somebody going
- 8:31Speaker 3: a wellness retreat, like, good for you, especially somebody like
- 8:34Speaker 3: Caitlin who's very busy and gets pulled in a thousand directions.
- 8:39Speaker 3: It's nice to step away. Now, I don't know if
- 8:43Speaker 3: maybe that was just a hey, I need to get away,
- 8:45Speaker 3: I need to do my thing. We're not doing well here,
- 8:47Speaker 3: like I need to go get some support. You need
- 8:50Speaker 3: to go get some support. Let's come back together and
- 8:51Speaker 3: see if we can make it work. Who knows the
- 8:53Speaker 3: reasoning for that. But she did go to a wellness
- 8:55Speaker 3: treat And my point to this is in their relationship,
- 8:59Speaker 3: it was not shocking to me that they didn't post
- 9:01Speaker 3: with each other because they have spent a lot of
- 9:03Speaker 3: time separated from each other in their relationship, right. I mean,
- 9:07Speaker 3: Caitlyn went on Dancing with the Stars. She then went
- 9:10Speaker 3: on tour. Jason was back in Nashville for that period
- 9:12Speaker 3: of time. Then he does his own thing and he
- 9:14Speaker 3: starts traveling around, and it felt like even from you
- 9:20Speaker 3: a friend yet fans perspective, they were kind of crossing
- 9:25Speaker 3: pass you know, never really being in one place together.
- 9:28Speaker 3: But it never made me think that anything was wrong
- 9:31Speaker 3: when they stopped posting on social media, because I was
- 9:33Speaker 3: kind of used to them doing their own thing and
- 9:35Speaker 3: still making it work back at home. The only time,
- 9:38Speaker 3: ashulely that I've started to, I guess go in the
- 9:43Speaker 3: camp of, hey, something's going on here, Like I don't
- 9:46Speaker 3: know what it is. It's not up to me to
- 9:48Speaker 3: define and say, hey, yeah, they're definitely separated, they're not
- 9:51Speaker 3: together anymore, et cetera. Was I think last evening two
- 9:56Speaker 3: days ago. Maybe it was when she posted on her
- 9:58Speaker 3: social media and she posted this. She posted, I cannot
- 10:05Speaker 3: believe the audacity of people to expect things from me
- 10:08Speaker 3: when I haven't even been able to process things for myself.
- 10:13Speaker 3: Have a effing heart. You're scaring me with your comments
- 10:17Speaker 3: and demands. I'm almost worried about you. She posted this
- 10:21Speaker 3: and then took it down. But even if she just said, hey,
- 10:26Speaker 3: people stop bothering me, I'd be like, cool, I don't
- 10:28Speaker 3: know what's going on in their life. But the comment this.
- 10:30Speaker 3: This is the line that stit out to me. I
- 10:31Speaker 3: cannot believe the audacity of people to expect things from
- 10:33Speaker 3: me when I haven't even been able to process things
- 10:35Speaker 3: for myself. So she's processing something that she's not ready
- 10:39Speaker 3: to come out publicly with. We're not here to force her.
- 10:42Speaker 3: She's not coming on the pot. We're not like, hey,
- 10:43Speaker 3: and here's Caitlin to talk about the relationship. But something's
- 10:48Speaker 3: going on. We can say that.
- 10:49Speaker 2: Well, I feel bad of obviously, like this is like
- 10:53Speaker 2: why fandom, Why guys do you why are you demanding
- 10:57Speaker 2: that she lets you know this?
- 10:59Speaker 3: It's not to you. First off, It's kind of similar
- 11:03Speaker 3: to when couples go into a relationship for the first time, right,
- 11:06Speaker 3: and you have your first couple of dates, and because
- 11:08Speaker 3: you're a part of bachelination and because you're known for
- 11:11Speaker 3: your dating now people are like, you need to tell
- 11:13Speaker 3: everybody about it, like exactly, It's like, well, one, I'm
- 11:16Speaker 3: not ready. Two that puts a whole new level of
- 11:19Speaker 3: pressure on me. Three think about this. When Caitlin and
- 11:24Speaker 3: Jason say the situation is not good, let's just say
- 11:27Speaker 3: that we don't know, but let's say something's going on
- 11:30Speaker 3: there and they publicly say, hey, either we're taking a break,
- 11:33Speaker 3: or hey, yes we went through a rough patch, or hey,
- 11:36Speaker 3: we're really doing good, whatever it may be. Then every
- 11:40Speaker 3: interview that Jason or Caitlin does for the next six
- 11:44Speaker 3: months is gonna be about something that either way is
- 11:48Speaker 3: very difficult for them to speak about. They probably aren't
- 11:51Speaker 3: ready to answer those questions.
- 11:54Speaker 2: If you are one of those people who are dming Caitlin,
- 11:57Speaker 2: just tell us just a need confirmation it, think and
- 12:02Speaker 2: reflect upon your message here. Why does it matter to
- 12:07Speaker 2: you whether you know for certain if they are broken
- 12:10Speaker 2: up or not?
- 12:11Speaker 3: And I can guarantee you your message to Kaitlin is
- 12:14Speaker 3: not going to be the thing that convinces her to
- 12:15Speaker 3: tell anybody. She's gonna do it when she wants just
- 12:18Speaker 3: knowing Kaitlin. However, there is a sense, Ashley, where when
- 12:22Speaker 3: fans do message about certain things, there is a sense
- 12:26Speaker 3: of caring.
- 12:27Speaker 2: And intrigue and interest.
- 12:29Speaker 3: Which is something that Caitlyn has right and she should
- 12:34Speaker 3: she is proud of. That is how her podcast has
- 12:36Speaker 3: become so popular is because people are very invested into
- 12:40Speaker 3: her life and as a result, very invested into Jason's life,
- 12:44Speaker 3: very invested in her happiness and health and Jason's happiness
- 12:48Speaker 3: and health, and so it doesn't shock me, you know,
- 12:50Speaker 3: I think there's a part here with Caitlyn was sitting
- 12:53Speaker 3: in front of me, I'd say, yeah, you knew it
- 12:55Speaker 3: was going to be this way. Has it ever not
- 12:57Speaker 3: been this way? When you don't share anything, people are
- 13:00Speaker 3: going to start to assume and they're going to start
- 13:02Speaker 3: to question. So don't be mad at them for that.
- 13:04Speaker 3: That's just the thing that happens.
- 13:06Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, I understand, I totally somewhere in between.
- 13:10Speaker 2: She definitely has to just appreciate, and I think she
- 13:12Speaker 2: does her audience who really feel like they know her
- 13:15Speaker 2: so well and care about her a lot. I just
- 13:18Speaker 2: hope that these messages are with what kindness and not
- 13:23Speaker 2: just like why are you telling us you're terrible?
- 13:26Speaker 3: You don't want to be like No, I those are
- 13:29Speaker 3: not helpful, They're not good. I'm sure they exist. I
- 13:31Speaker 3: hope people are coming from a place of, hey, Caitlin.
- 13:34Speaker 2: We're thinking about you, we care about you, like we're
- 13:37Speaker 2: here for you if you need us one hundred percent.
- 13:40Speaker 3: I hope so myself. But we don't know anything outside
- 13:44Speaker 3: of that. We do know that that post was put
- 13:46Speaker 3: up on her social media. We do know that the
- 13:48Speaker 3: rumors are swirling. We do know that people are getting
- 13:51Speaker 3: more and more intrigued. Something is happening there. We just
- 13:55Speaker 3: don't know what. And we'll say, hey, we can't confirm
- 13:59Speaker 3: or deny these rumors at this time, but what we
- 14:02Speaker 3: can do is say, if she and Katelyn, or if
- 14:06Speaker 3: Caitlin and Jason are not ready to speak about it publicly,
- 14:09Speaker 3: we should allow them that space because that also shows
- 14:12Speaker 3: that the reallyship meant a lot to the two of them,
- 14:14Speaker 3: which is obvious that it did.
- 14:16Speaker 2: And on theme, Michael Alio and Danielle Maltby, who may
- 14:22Speaker 2: have celebrated their one year dating anniversary last month, also
- 14:28Speaker 2: have been posted of each other for a few weeks,
- 14:33Speaker 2: and Danielle did move to the Akron, Ohio area a
- 14:37Speaker 2: few months ago to be closer to Michael and his family.
- 14:42Speaker 2: So time will tew whether this social media silence is
- 14:47Speaker 2: well telling. Let me flip this on you for a second, okay,
- 15:03Speaker 2: because I feel like you've had more public breakup than
- 15:05Speaker 2: I ever had, So, like, did you when you were
- 15:10Speaker 2: in the midst of breaking up? What was your social
- 15:13Speaker 2: media activity like? Were you like going dark? On it,
- 15:17Speaker 2: or were you posting unrelated things? Because to me, honestly,
- 15:23Speaker 2: in the midst of all this, Jason just posting as
- 15:26Speaker 2: if like it's his normal life and he's like posting
- 15:29Speaker 2: with his mom and the dogs and all that. It's
- 15:30Speaker 2: just creating more speculation because Caitlin is continuously absent. If
- 15:36Speaker 2: they just went blank dark, I'd be like, yeah, like,
- 15:39Speaker 2: why are you guys even speculating they're just taking some
- 15:41Speaker 2: time off social.
- 15:43Speaker 3: Caitlyn has been active on social media.
- 15:45Speaker 2: Right yeah, yes, she has two.
- 15:48Speaker 3: Yeah, she has two well one Ashley. It's very different
- 15:51Speaker 3: for me to be active on social media compared to
- 15:56Speaker 3: Caitlin and Jason. My activity on social media is never
- 16:00Speaker 3: at the volume that the two of them, you know,
- 16:03Speaker 3: consistently produce, because they're both very involved in that world,
- 16:07Speaker 3: and Jason, you know, has a career in that world.
- 16:09Speaker 3: And so for me personally, I probably went dark. I'm
- 16:15Speaker 3: assuming nobody noticed, because they'd be like, hey, Ben hasn't
- 16:19Speaker 3: posted in two weeks, and most people would be like, yeah, yeah,
- 16:25Speaker 3: you know, oh of course he hasn't. Well, we have
- 16:28Speaker 3: some breaking news coming through right now. That kind of
- 16:30Speaker 3: distracted me from my train of thought. Caitlin has recently
- 16:33Speaker 3: posted on social media. Here's what it says. This is
- 16:38Speaker 3: as of like right now. She just posted something on
- 16:41Speaker 3: Instagram with the caption, got it tough enough if I'm
- 16:44Speaker 3: going to fight the noise. It's to a workout video.
- 16:48Speaker 3: Don't know what that means. Let's read that again. Got
- 16:51Speaker 3: it tough enough? If I'm going to fight the noise,
- 16:57Speaker 3: Let's just pause there for a second. Fans and and listeners,
- 17:03Speaker 3: I'm gonna tough enough to fight the noise. I'm assuming
- 17:06Speaker 3: the noise is in reference to the people asking her
- 17:10Speaker 3: if her and Kaitlyn or if her and Jason are
- 17:12Speaker 3: still together. But I'm wondering if Caitlyn is right now
- 17:18Speaker 3: doing the thing that most of us in this world
- 17:21Speaker 3: do when we're not feeling our best and when we're
- 17:25Speaker 3: emotional and when things feel heavy and chaotic, is we
- 17:29Speaker 3: focus on the negative comments and the negative noise instead
- 17:33Speaker 3: of anything positive and loving. I'm guessing that's where Caitlyn's
- 17:36Speaker 3: coming from, and what she's speaking to is she's noticing
- 17:40Speaker 3: that people are getting more and more anksy, more and
- 17:43Speaker 3: more let's say, irritated. They're wanting to know, and as
- 17:48Speaker 3: a result, they're getting more desperate in their messaging. She's
- 17:51Speaker 3: seeing this, that's noise she's speaking about, and she doesn't
- 17:54Speaker 3: like it. Ashley, do you agree.
- 17:57Speaker 2: I think you're probably right. We think that noise is
- 18:02Speaker 2: is people like criticizing her. Possibly, like right, she's ready
- 18:05Speaker 2: to go into the announcement that they broke up. Perhaps
- 18:10Speaker 2: this is all very sad. It really really sucks.
- 18:13Speaker 3: It really does. And we're kind of in this world
- 18:16Speaker 3: we're at today, which is such a new phenomenon. We're
- 18:19Speaker 3: watching this kind of play out in front of our eyes.
- 18:22Speaker 3: Like now Caitlin is, you know, posting pictures with I
- 18:26Speaker 3: believe a new tattoo. She's you know, obviously telling us that, hey,
- 18:31Speaker 3: you know, stop making me talk about it or stop
- 18:33Speaker 3: asking me to talk about it. I'm not ready to
- 18:35Speaker 3: talk about it.
- 18:35Speaker 2: Now.
- 18:35Speaker 3: She's doing a workout video, Like we're kind of seeing
- 18:38Speaker 3: this play out in her coming to this, you know,
- 18:42Speaker 3: to the public now was something I just don't know when,
- 18:47Speaker 3: And I don't think we need to push her or
- 18:50Speaker 3: Jason to say when. It's just sad. I like them together.
- 18:57Speaker 3: It worked out. It was a good relationship. From what
- 19:00Speaker 3: it seemed from the outside, it felt like it had
- 19:04Speaker 3: had a lot going for it for a long time. Again,
- 19:09Speaker 3: I don't know if they're together or not. I mean,
- 19:11Speaker 3: how big a shaker now would it be if they
- 19:12Speaker 3: came back like, no, we've been happy for the last
- 19:15Speaker 3: five years together. Like, I don't know what you guys
- 19:17Speaker 3: are talking about, Like that'd be great. I love that,
- 19:19Speaker 3: I know, you know, but it's it's not feeling like
- 19:22Speaker 3: it's going to the direction.
- 19:24Speaker 2: Yeah, And I'm sorry, obviously I am like a little
- 19:26Speaker 2: bit quieter on this end because I do feel it's
- 19:29Speaker 2: just an awkward situation to talk about your friend's relationship
- 19:32Speaker 2: publicly when you haven't been, like we haven't been on
- 19:35Speaker 2: the inside of it. I haven't seen them for a while.
- 19:38Speaker 3: Well, speaking of that, let's talk about my past.
- 19:40Speaker 2: Relationship to Caitlin. But I have not pride about her
- 19:44Speaker 2: relationship lately, So I just, yeah, let's move on to Ben's.
- 19:49Speaker 2: I feel much more comfortable talking about your well, you
- 19:54Speaker 2: know why, because I'm talking to you about it. You know,
- 20:00Speaker 2: I'm not like just presuming things.
- 20:02Speaker 3: So I was giving the heads up everybody listening that
- 20:05Speaker 3: I was going to be asked to speak about Lauren
- 20:08Speaker 3: and Shawn's recent podcast where they talked a lot about
- 20:12Speaker 3: The Bachelor that they both knew. Yeah, Caitlin, yeah, and
- 20:17Speaker 3: I haven't listened to it. Ashley and Hannah did listen
- 20:21Speaker 3: to it. Okay, I'll let you guide me through this.
- 20:25Speaker 3: What are some of the things that I'm responding to
- 20:27Speaker 3: or what are some of the things said? I do
- 20:29Speaker 3: know they talked a lot about a show that they
- 20:31Speaker 3: seemed to dislike, but yet they talked about a lot
- 20:33Speaker 3: which I don't really talk about things I dislike too
- 20:35Speaker 3: much other than clowns. But the two of.
- 20:40Speaker 2: Them certainly had enough to say about them just feeling
- 20:43Speaker 2: they weren't like great fits to be a part of
- 20:46Speaker 2: the Bachelor franchise. There was a couple of things that
- 20:49Speaker 2: stand out to me as far as what pertains directly
- 20:53Speaker 2: to you then, Okay. One was that Lauren definitely made
- 20:57Speaker 2: it seem like your love was like not like a
- 21:02Speaker 2: great love to her, it was more of like a
- 21:04Speaker 2: young love. And she said that maybe Sean felt more
- 21:09Speaker 2: strongly because he was closer to thirty and she was
- 21:13Speaker 2: like twenty four.
- 21:14Speaker 3: Okay, So the question here is how do I respond
- 21:18Speaker 3: to that? Is that what the question is? Okay? Cool?
- 21:20Speaker 2: And the question is how does that make you feel bad?
- 21:22Speaker 3: How does that make me feel? Well? First off, I
- 21:25Speaker 3: don't believe that age has any any impact on love.
- 21:34Speaker 3: I know people who have fallen in love at a
- 21:36Speaker 3: very young age and are very much in love. I
- 21:38Speaker 3: know people who have fallen in love at a very
- 21:40Speaker 3: old age aka hopefully Gary coming up on the Gold Bachelor.
- 21:46Speaker 3: You know, I think love is something that comes about
- 21:49Speaker 3: in the least expected ways, at some of the most
- 21:51Speaker 3: unexpected times. Personally, I hear her say love now maybe
- 22:00Speaker 3: feels differently for her than it did back on her
- 22:03Speaker 3: time on the show, and I go, I'm glad, like
- 22:07Speaker 3: you're married with kids. I'm married, Like, yes, love does
- 22:11Speaker 3: feel different. I'm glad you're in love with your husband
- 22:16Speaker 3: more than you liked me, or if you like me
- 22:19Speaker 3: at all, Like, I'm just glad you like him, Like
- 22:22Speaker 3: that's cool. That seems to be a really good thing.
- 22:27Speaker 3: You know, that show was very real for me. I
- 22:29Speaker 3: will say. The only point to this that upsets me
- 22:33Speaker 3: at all, not like upsets me angrily, just like would
- 22:36Speaker 3: make me frustrated, would be that show is a real
- 22:42Speaker 3: experience for me. I invested, personally a lot of effort
- 22:49Speaker 3: into trying to figure out if it was the path
- 22:51Speaker 3: that it was going to help me find my partner
- 22:53Speaker 3: or not. I had a lot of incredible women on
- 22:56Speaker 3: that show and a lot of incredible people, and if
- 22:59Speaker 3: she was feeling this way, I wish she would have
- 23:02Speaker 3: maybe made that more apparent during the process. Maybe she
- 23:05Speaker 3: didn't know, Maybe she maybe was going too fast and
- 23:08Speaker 3: there's just too many variables and she couldn't figure that out.
- 23:10Speaker 3: And that's fine. It worked out for both of us
- 23:12Speaker 3: very well. But I think discounting that season of life
- 23:21Speaker 3: is not fair to either of us because it was
- 23:23Speaker 3: a meaningful season of life. It was something that impacted
- 23:26Speaker 3: us both greatly and what it did for me and
- 23:29Speaker 3: what I believe it probably did for her. You know,
- 23:32Speaker 3: I cared about Lauren a lot, still care about her.
- 23:36Speaker 3: I want to see her thrive in life. I have
- 23:39Speaker 3: nothing but good. Really, it's kind of funny. I only
- 23:43Speaker 3: have good memories of our time together. I don't have
- 23:46Speaker 3: a lot of bad memories.
- 23:48Speaker 2: That's good, that's so nice.
- 23:50Speaker 3: But we were we right for each other. Heck no,
- 23:52Speaker 3: I'm right with Jess, she's right with Chris. Like I'm
- 23:54Speaker 3: glad it played out the way it did. I just
- 23:57Speaker 3: hope within all that, there's not a we're not pushing
- 24:00Speaker 3: that season aside, because what it did do is it
- 24:02Speaker 3: helped me see, Hey, what I'm looking for in a
- 24:04Speaker 3: partner or what I think I need in a partner
- 24:07Speaker 3: is XYZ And that's what I found in my wife now.
- 24:10Speaker 3: And I'm guessing she did the same thing with Chris.
- 24:13Speaker 3: So I think the language that maybe we're using around
- 24:18Speaker 3: the show just feels like they're kind of saying, hey, like,
- 24:20Speaker 3: wasn't for me whatever, Well, you both ended up with
- 24:25Speaker 3: the person at the end, and so maybe it was
- 24:26Speaker 3: for you, But maybe that was part for you. Wasn't
- 24:30Speaker 3: that you were gonna marry that person? Maybe this was
- 24:32Speaker 3: a good Maybe you should look back on this time
- 24:34Speaker 3: and say it was a great stepping stone into finding
- 24:36Speaker 3: your future partner. Maybe it was perfect for you. Maybe
- 24:39Speaker 3: the Bachelor World was the best thing for you because
- 24:42Speaker 3: it helped you see and meet your future partners.
- 24:46Speaker 2: Exactly.
- 24:47Speaker 3: Yeah, So all in all, I agree with what she's saying.
- 24:51Speaker 3: My love now feels very differently than it did back then,
- 24:54Speaker 3: and I'm really glad that I found the love that
- 24:57Speaker 3: I have today. But I also am very glad that
- 25:00Speaker 3: I had their relationship I did with her when I
- 25:02Speaker 3: had it, because it taught me a lot.
- 25:06Speaker 2: I do you feel like there's a little perspective missing
- 25:08Speaker 2: from the interview where a lot where a lot of
- 25:10Speaker 2: what they were saying, like they weren't acknowledging the fact
- 25:15Speaker 2: that where they are in life, it's most likely happened
- 25:20Speaker 2: because of the Bachelor.
- 25:21Speaker 3: Well, I think all of our lives, even if like
- 25:23Speaker 3: it exactly, it hasn't affected you at all. Like I
- 25:25Speaker 3: think even the people who go home week two would say, Hey,
- 25:30Speaker 3: that Bachelor World like changed the course of my life
- 25:33Speaker 3: even a little bit, And as a result, now five
- 25:36Speaker 3: years later, it's changed my life a lot. Like I
- 25:38Speaker 3: think all of us have been impacted because we went
- 25:40Speaker 3: on a television show and we are maybe recognized by
- 25:43Speaker 3: one more person, or when we apply for a job
- 25:45Speaker 3: interview that person says, hey, I saw you on TV
- 25:47Speaker 3: and I liked you on TV. Let's hire you. Like
- 25:50Speaker 3: it has an impact, and it's just what you do
- 25:53Speaker 3: with it. If you see it as this really negative thing,
- 25:56Speaker 3: it's always going to be a negative thing. If you
- 25:58Speaker 3: try to see that, hey, maybe this brought some good,
- 26:01Speaker 3: you can start to see the good in it.
- 26:03Speaker 1: All.
- 26:04Speaker 2: Right. Another thing I want to bring up to you
- 26:06Speaker 2: is she imagined that she met Chris while she was
- 26:11Speaker 2: with you.
- 26:12Speaker 3: Mm she did say that. M. Yeah yeah, good for them, all.
- 26:22Speaker 2: Right, yeah, majority did you know did you know this?
- 26:27Speaker 3: I did know this? Yeah, this was very clear to me. Again,
- 26:34Speaker 3: Like I guess I look back on that now. If
- 26:36Speaker 3: you would have asked me this and you know this
- 26:37Speaker 3: right like when this podcast started, you to ask me
- 26:41Speaker 3: some of these questions, like I would have probably been
- 26:43Speaker 3: frozen and ended up in tears, like I just would have.
- 26:45Speaker 3: And I'm assuming like she would say the same thing,
- 26:48Speaker 3: like it was very emotional back then for me. But
- 26:50Speaker 3: now with where our pasts have gone again, mostly when
- 26:54Speaker 3: it comes to our relationships and who we are in
- 26:57Speaker 3: love with and who we're committing to, I look back
- 27:00Speaker 3: now and I'm like, I'm glad it worked out the
- 27:02Speaker 3: way it did. Maybe it wasn't pretty during the time,
- 27:04Speaker 3: maybe it wasn't fun during the time, maybe it didn't
- 27:06Speaker 3: seem my deal or fair or all those things that
- 27:08Speaker 3: you can wrap up in this, But you look back
- 27:10Speaker 3: now and you're like, I'm glad it worked out like this,
- 27:13Speaker 3: Like this is good. It doesn't mean it didn't come
- 27:16Speaker 3: without pain. You know the thing that I the thing
- 27:20Speaker 3: that I do want to say in protection of myself
- 27:22Speaker 3: for the first time ever. Okay, Yeah, and I took
- 27:27Speaker 3: and I took it on the chin. I did for
- 27:29Speaker 3: the both of us and just for ever, you know,
- 27:34Speaker 3: for the good of the cause was back then, I
- 27:37Speaker 3: remember because of the Ben and Lauren Happily Ever After special.
- 27:41Speaker 3: It made me look like I had cold feet. Did
- 27:44Speaker 3: I have cold feet? Yes? Because I knew we weren't
- 27:46Speaker 3: right for each other. Things were not going down a
- 27:48Speaker 3: path that seemed like a happily engaged couple should be
- 27:53Speaker 3: going down.
- 27:54Speaker 2: Well, it was appropriately called Happily Ever After question Mark.
- 27:58Speaker 3: It did not meet like I felt like that show
- 28:02Speaker 3: and the public perception was that I ended this relationship.
- 28:06Speaker 2: Do you think so? Well, maybe it's just because I
- 28:08Speaker 2: know too much much. I thought it was more.
- 28:11Speaker 3: Yeah, but it felt like the relationship ended because I
- 28:14Speaker 3: wasn't ready to take the steps forward that you know,
- 28:17Speaker 3: the show was really asking us to take. Hey, let's
- 28:19Speaker 3: have your wedding on TV, Let's tell advise it, let's
- 28:21Speaker 3: pay you to do it. And I said, I know,
- 28:24Speaker 3: like this, this isn't this is not going to work.
- 28:27Speaker 3: We both know this, and and we both are very
- 28:30Speaker 3: clear on this. This this is not a relationship that
- 28:33Speaker 3: either of us are going to pursue. We were We
- 28:37Speaker 3: know that we don't have much time left. In fact,
- 28:39Speaker 3: we're trying to hold this together like by a thread,
- 28:44Speaker 3: and that threat is breaking as we spoke. And so
- 28:47Speaker 3: I just would say and I and I and I
- 28:50Speaker 3: know Lauren would I hope Lauren would not be mad
- 28:54Speaker 3: at me for saying this. We like did not end
- 28:57Speaker 3: because I had cold feet like that. That was not
- 29:00Speaker 3: the that that was not the reason. And so the
- 29:03Speaker 3: public saying I wasn't ready, how could I go on
- 29:05Speaker 3: to be the Bachelor if I wasn't ready for marriage?
- 29:07Speaker 3: Like that was not fair to me. It wasn't because
- 29:10Speaker 3: it wasn't true to me. We just weren't right for
- 29:14Speaker 3: each other.
- 29:14Speaker 2: Ben, just letting you know that, like, yes, maybe I'm
- 29:18Speaker 2: too entrenched personally. I don't think that was ever the
- 29:21Speaker 2: public perception, even if the show was making it seem
- 29:24Speaker 2: like that. No, no, no, even if the show is
- 29:28Speaker 2: making it seem like you had gold Vie, I never
- 29:30Speaker 2: thought that it seemed like in the public arena that
- 29:33Speaker 2: you were the one to end the relationship, it either
- 29:36Speaker 2: seemed very mutual or it sort of seemed like she
- 29:40Speaker 2: ended it because she was the one who got a
- 29:41Speaker 2: boyfriend kind of quickly after it.
- 29:43Speaker 3: Yeah, who wasn't Chris.
- 29:44Speaker 2: It was not Chris, ln it was not Chris.
- 29:46Speaker 3: Well, Yeah, I mean I think it was very mutual.
- 29:49Speaker 3: I will say it was a very mutual breakup. And again,
- 29:53Speaker 3: I think for anybody listening wondering, like you can see
- 29:57Speaker 3: the beauty in the breakup now, maybe not to time, Yeah,
- 30:00Speaker 3: but the beauty and the breakup was that we ended.
- 30:02Speaker 3: It wasn't easy, it wasn't fun. When people reach out
- 30:05Speaker 3: now wondering what it feels like to go through a
- 30:07Speaker 3: really tough breakup, I can speak to it. But I
- 30:10Speaker 3: know over time it is a piece of my life
- 30:14Speaker 3: that I'm also very thankful for. I look back on
- 30:16Speaker 3: that season of life and say, I'm glad we tried it.
- 30:19Speaker 3: I'm glad we learned about it. And then yes, we
- 30:22Speaker 3: were younger back then, and it led me down to
- 30:25Speaker 3: find my partner who was the perfect partner for me
- 30:29Speaker 3: and I and I have no emotion wrapped around my
- 30:32Speaker 3: past relationship with Lauren. I have no like you could
- 30:36Speaker 3: not get me to cry if that's one way you
- 30:37Speaker 3: want to get me a cry. That is not an
- 30:39Speaker 3: avenue to go down, even though at the time it was.
- 30:42Speaker 3: And so I just, you know, I just look back
- 30:46Speaker 3: on the Bachelor World with a lot of like gladness
- 30:50Speaker 3: because I think it did help me come to my wife.
- 30:53Speaker 2: Yeah, man, I totally get that. And I tell people
- 30:55Speaker 2: all of the time when they're like single and feel
- 30:57Speaker 2: like they're struggling, I'm like, you'll look back one day
- 31:00Speaker 2: when you're happily with somebody and you're going to be like,
- 31:03Speaker 2: you're going to see the weird beauty in the heartbreak
- 31:07Speaker 2: and the struggle of it all.
- 31:09Speaker 3: Wait, that's what you tell people, you know what I
- 31:10Speaker 3: tell people when they're single and you tell them to
- 31:13Speaker 3: live it up. I tell them, hey, God never promised
- 31:16Speaker 3: us a partner, so you might be single forever. And
- 31:20Speaker 3: what I want you to do with that is become
- 31:22Speaker 3: very happily single and content on your own, because once
- 31:26Speaker 3: you do that, then a partner is just icing on
- 31:28Speaker 3: the cake.
- 31:28Speaker 2: I Okay, well there's that, and then normally that's partner
- 31:33Speaker 2: comes into the picture is when you have it all together,
- 31:35Speaker 2: when you're happy by yourself, all right, well, that's interesting
- 31:38Speaker 2: that we have such different advice to singles. Okay, there's
- 31:53Speaker 2: a few more things I just want to mention, one
- 31:56Speaker 2: being that overall, Sean had nice things to say about
- 32:00Speaker 2: Kaitlin and and Lauren had nice things to say about you.
- 32:03Speaker 2: Really did they thought that you guys were both a wonderful, charismatic,
- 32:07Speaker 2: likable leads.
- 32:09Speaker 3: I just wish there was something out like that's great
- 32:11Speaker 3: and I have I would have full confidence if you
- 32:14Speaker 3: want them to talk.
- 32:15Speaker 2: To you about you as a human being, as a
- 32:17Speaker 2: lead of a show.
- 32:18Speaker 3: It makes me sound like I was just like a character,
- 32:20Speaker 3: and I mean that's not fair, but I get it,
- 32:23Speaker 3: like they I would have no questions that Lauren would
- 32:26Speaker 3: speak highly of me. That's not like a fear of mine.
- 32:30Speaker 3: I didn't know with this podcast, with some of the
- 32:33Speaker 3: like editing of the trailers, I was like shocked, goodness gracious,
- 32:37Speaker 3: Like they went hard at me. And that doesn't seem
- 32:40Speaker 3: fair because Sean went to my wedding as a friend,
- 32:42Speaker 3: and I think Lauren would look back and say, hey, like,
- 32:45Speaker 3: no it didn't work out, but like we don't hate
- 32:47Speaker 3: each other. There's no way I will here like we're
- 32:49Speaker 3: both happy for each other, and so I didn't. Again,
- 32:53Speaker 3: I didn't listen to the podcast, but from the notes
- 32:55Speaker 3: that are sitting in front of me, and from the
- 32:57Speaker 3: words of you and.
- 32:58Speaker 2: From me who did listen to the podcast half of us.
- 33:00Speaker 3: It did sound like they were They were overall very
- 33:03Speaker 3: nice to the two of us, which is good and expected.
- 33:07Speaker 3: It would be right shocking because I know Lauren, and
- 33:10Speaker 3: I know that's not like she might not like be
- 33:14Speaker 3: my biggest fan. She might not be telling like Chris
- 33:17Speaker 3: and her family oh been so great, but she wouldn't
- 33:20Speaker 3: have negative things to say. I don't.
- 33:23Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 33:23Speaker 2: But also I couldn't help but laugh at the fact
- 33:27Speaker 2: that Sean literally reached out to Caitlin a couple of
- 33:31Speaker 2: months ago to say, can you stop talking about a
- 33:34Speaker 2: relationship that ended five years ago? And then he did
- 33:36Speaker 2: a half an hour segment.
- 33:37Speaker 3: I didn't think the relationship. That's interesting. I didn't think
- 33:40Speaker 3: about that. Well, yeah, he's gonna you know, the balance
- 33:45Speaker 3: on these podcasts is interesting because a lot of times
- 33:48Speaker 3: you are going to be speaking about your past.
- 33:50Speaker 2: He admitted it, though I kind of questioned him. Last week.
- 33:53Speaker 2: He said, I understand now that I have my own
- 33:55Speaker 2: podcast that is hard.
- 33:56Speaker 3: He gets brought up. Yeah, it gets brought up. But
- 34:00Speaker 3: I'm glad they were I'm glad they were positive overall.
- 34:03Speaker 3: You would say, Ashley that listening to this as a
- 34:06Speaker 3: friend of mine and as a friend of Caitlin's, you
- 34:09Speaker 3: never were like angry, No, okay.
- 34:14Speaker 2: I was the only thing that made me really go
- 34:16Speaker 2: hmm was the it was like a young love. I
- 34:20Speaker 2: don't know if my feelings were as intense as they
- 34:22Speaker 2: were yours, Sean and feeling like it was a different
- 34:27Speaker 2: kind of love.
- 34:28Speaker 3: And then she should have gone home. She should have
- 34:31Speaker 3: gone home, make it easy on me, break up with
- 34:33Speaker 3: me at the leave me standing in Jamaica all alone
- 34:35Speaker 3: at the podium, just being like, well, son of a gun,
- 34:38Speaker 3: like I am unlovable.
- 34:41Speaker 2: Oh my gosh, Oh my gosh. Ben. There's also one
- 34:45Speaker 2: other thing. It was the fact that she said that
- 34:49Speaker 2: your happy couple weekends weren't necessarily that happy. She said,
- 34:54Speaker 2: so happy a couple of weekends. Oh, you guys know,
- 34:57Speaker 2: they're like the little moments that the Lee did the
- 35:00Speaker 2: quote quote winner have They have about three of them
- 35:03Speaker 2: between the show wrapping, filming and airing, And Lauren said
- 35:10Speaker 2: that you guys didn't have a blast in them. What
- 35:12Speaker 2: was your take.
- 35:13Speaker 3: I mean, if she didn't like me, I bet they
- 35:15Speaker 3: were painfully hard for her, Like if she was showing
- 35:18Speaker 3: up to these happy couples and I was you been.
- 35:21Speaker 3: Oh okay, well I didn't know.
- 35:22Speaker 2: Okay, she liked you very much. You were just not
- 35:25Speaker 2: the great love of her life, which you said.
- 35:27Speaker 3: It was awesome you respect, Yeah, respect, I loved happy couples.
- 35:31Speaker 3: You don't know why, free food, free booze, and like
- 35:35Speaker 3: in the midst of the chaos of the Bachelor and
- 35:37Speaker 3: being the Bachelor, it was like three days that the
- 35:39Speaker 3: show could not contact you to do anything, and so
- 35:42Speaker 3: you were just chilling, like sleeping.
- 35:44Speaker 2: Oh wait, the show couldn't contact you because she said
- 35:48Speaker 2: that you were out on bachelor duties, that you would
- 35:51Speaker 2: go on bachelor errands and like make press appearances during it.
- 35:54Speaker 2: And then she I don't remember, No, I don't really
- 35:56Speaker 2: see you don't remember.
- 35:57Speaker 3: I don't even remember me. It's been so long. I'm
- 36:01Speaker 3: if that was the case. Possibly I remember those being Okay,
- 36:05Speaker 3: let me say it this way. Then, in the midst
- 36:07Speaker 3: of the chaos and the craziness of being the Bachelor,
- 36:10Speaker 3: when you're on press duties and traveling around and doing
- 36:14Speaker 3: appearances and everything from like seven thirty am till eight
- 36:18Speaker 3: pm at night every day. Those were an escape because
- 36:23Speaker 3: they just had less duties than usual. You weren't gone
- 36:27Speaker 3: all day every day from morning to night and then
- 36:29Speaker 3: wake up and do it again. Like I felt like,
- 36:31Speaker 3: I remember days of taking naps, which was not a
- 36:34Speaker 3: thing for me back then. And I love a good nap.
- 36:37Speaker 2: You're such a napper, Like I could just see you
- 36:39Speaker 2: like curling up and being in.
- 36:40Speaker 3: The golf on Thursday through Sunday. You gotta believe it.
- 36:45Speaker 3: And they were nice houses like and we you know,
- 36:50Speaker 3: I don't know. I thought they were fun. I enjoyed them.
- 36:52Speaker 3: I have good I have goin. I have good memories
- 36:55Speaker 3: of those.
- 36:55Speaker 2: I'm glad that you have good memories those. Sean brought
- 36:59Speaker 2: something up that I was interested to know your take on.
- 37:03Speaker 2: He said that he's like, Okay, so here I am
- 37:05Speaker 2: in a house with this girl that I'm like, now,
- 37:08Speaker 2: engage you. I guess I'll get to know her. It
- 37:12Speaker 2: made me feel like he didn't feel like he was
- 37:16Speaker 2: totally in love and knows her like I'm like, Sean,
- 37:19Speaker 2: you were the man who literally was so certain this
- 37:23Speaker 2: was like the woman for you during this season. Then
- 37:26Speaker 2: you're then there's you. Now you're in the happy couple,
- 37:28Speaker 2: and you're like, I guess we'll get to know her.
- 37:30Speaker 2: I'm like, wait, what I mean? Yes, you'll get to
- 37:33Speaker 2: know much more over time. But but did you feel
- 37:37Speaker 2: like you were in a house with a stranger? Is
- 37:39Speaker 2: what I'm ask asking you, because I do know what
- 37:43Speaker 2: it's like when the show packs up and you're like, Okay,
- 37:47Speaker 2: now you can go be with each other in real
- 37:50Speaker 2: life there's no cameras. Even the fantasy sweet feels like that.
- 37:54Speaker 2: It's like, oh God, do I know you?
- 37:57Speaker 1: Do?
- 37:57Speaker 2: You haven't, We've been hanging out the past couple of weeks. Yeah,
- 38:00Speaker 2: So did you feel like you were getting to know
- 38:02Speaker 2: somebody from like fresh or were you like, this is
- 38:05Speaker 2: my fiance, I totally know her, Like let's just have
- 38:08Speaker 2: some fun.
- 38:09Speaker 3: Okay, two different, two different responses. One is as some
- 38:14Speaker 3: a bystanderd on that season, and as a you know,
- 38:17Speaker 3: somebody saw that love story playout. I am surprised that
- 38:20Speaker 3: he felt that way. I don't want to say he
- 38:22Speaker 3: was wrong, but I am surprised because it really felt
- 38:26Speaker 3: like from night one.
- 38:28Speaker 2: Sean be each other's souls.
- 38:30Speaker 3: Yes, like that Sean and Caitlyn were meant for something.
- 38:33Speaker 3: Obviously they weren't meant for marriage, but they were meant
- 38:35Speaker 3: for something like Yeah, And it also seemed like through
- 38:39Speaker 3: the season Sean really cared about Caitlyn and got to
- 38:42Speaker 3: know Caitlin and and you know, maybe watching it back,
- 38:47Speaker 3: I did feel I do remember watching that season back
- 38:50Speaker 3: and feeling like the connection I thought they had in
- 38:53Speaker 3: the like from being in the house and like hearing
- 38:55Speaker 3: it and seeing it TV made it feel less than
- 38:59Speaker 3: what I thought it was because.
- 39:00Speaker 2: Really, because TV made me feel a lot.
- 39:03Speaker 3: Well, there was a lot of making out, there was
- 39:05Speaker 3: a lot of like just like quiet moments, and then
- 39:09Speaker 3: there was the argument to me where a lot of
- 39:12Speaker 3: their time was spent talking about the other guy, Nick. Yeah,
- 39:15Speaker 3: and so it I always just expected to watch it
- 39:19Speaker 3: back and be like, of course, like they they had
- 39:22Speaker 3: something so magical and they knew each other so well,
- 39:25Speaker 3: And I still think they did. I just think they
- 39:27Speaker 3: went about it a different way. Okay, so that's my
- 39:30Speaker 3: first response. More surprise. I'm not gonna say, hesm, it's
- 39:33Speaker 3: his feelings, his emotions, what he thought before you go on.
- 39:36Speaker 2: Let's just let me just give Sean's benef of the doubt.
- 39:38Speaker 2: He's definitely talking about like in hindsight, as a couple
- 39:41Speaker 2: that didn't work out. You know, he wouldn't have said that,
- 39:44Speaker 2: I'm sure if they were married today, No exactly, Yeah, okay,
- 39:48Speaker 2: but go ahead.
- 39:48Speaker 3: But then I would say, when it comes to like
- 39:50Speaker 3: happy couple of weekends, yes, it did at times feel
- 39:53Speaker 3: that way, not necessarily like you're a stranger or not
- 39:57Speaker 3: necessarily I don't know you or I don't like you.
- 39:59Speaker 3: It's what's your phone number, what's your middle name? Where
- 40:04Speaker 3: did you go to high school? Yeah? What makes you tick?
- 40:08Speaker 3: You know, what sets you off? What's your pet peeves?
- 40:10Speaker 3: Like those things you do figure out after the show. Now,
- 40:17Speaker 3: I would only say the comparison would be like a
- 40:19Speaker 3: Kadian Zach right now where it feels like they're doing great,
- 40:22Speaker 3: or Jojo and Jordan. But Jojo and Jordan took a
- 40:25Speaker 3: lot longer to kind of get to the point where
- 40:27Speaker 3: I think they were ready to get married than the
- 40:29Speaker 3: Kadian Zachs of the world. So I do think that
- 40:31Speaker 3: people come off of it and feel like, yes, we
- 40:34Speaker 3: have a connection, we know each other, let's keep this
- 40:36Speaker 3: thing moving. But I don't disagree with him when it
- 40:40Speaker 3: comes to at times feeling like, yes, I'm spending a
- 40:43Speaker 3: weekend in a house with a stranger. Yeah or not again,
- 40:47Speaker 3: not a stranger. That's a wrong word, like a I'm
- 40:50Speaker 3: spending a week ind in a house with my first date.
- 40:53Speaker 2: Okay, a great description. All right, Ben, Well, you just
- 40:58Speaker 2: touched on Nick, so I think was probably talk about
- 41:00Speaker 2: the fact that he is going to be on Special Forces.
- 41:04Speaker 2: This was rumored. He did not tell Jared and I
- 41:06Speaker 2: about it.
- 41:08Speaker 3: You did not tell me about it.
- 41:11Speaker 2: I don't know, like he doesn't like have to tell
- 41:14Speaker 2: me his day to day like we don't. We're like
- 41:17Speaker 2: we had the kind of relationship where, you know, I
- 41:19Speaker 2: see him without talking to him for four months and
- 41:22Speaker 2: it feels like we've been together forever. But it's but
- 41:27Speaker 2: like I'm like so freaking excited to see him go
- 41:30Speaker 2: through this. So, Hannah Brown, we know one season one
- 41:33Speaker 2: of Special Forces, and now Tyler, Cameron, and Nick are
- 41:38Speaker 2: both on this coming season that debut September too far
- 41:42Speaker 2: from now, I tell you September twenty something. Sorry, then
- 41:48Speaker 2: the data in front of me right now. But this
- 41:51Speaker 2: is gonna be so good. I have to go back
- 41:53Speaker 2: and finish watching Hannah Brown season because I want to
- 41:55Speaker 2: watch her be that badass that she is, Like, she
- 41:58Speaker 2: is just so impressive to me.
- 42:01Speaker 3: Who makes it farther? Ashley, Nick or Tyler?
- 42:04Speaker 2: You know that they definitely go in with this mindset
- 42:07Speaker 2: that like, no matter who I who outlasts me, Like
- 42:11Speaker 2: I have to outlast Tyler or I have to outlast Nick.
- 42:16Speaker 2: They probably went in with direct indirect competition of each oler.
- 42:19Speaker 3: What do you think, Oh, I'm guessing that was definitely there.
- 42:23Speaker 3: You know Nick, Well, what are some of Nick's like fears?
- 42:26Speaker 3: Has he cst her phobic? Is he's scared of heights? Like?
- 42:28Speaker 3: What could really set him off? Because I don't know Tyler,
- 42:31Speaker 3: so I don't know his fears or his concerns. It
- 42:33Speaker 3: feels like, you know, he's a Florida boy. He likes
- 42:35Speaker 3: to dive, He's comfortable in water. He's maybe a little adventurous.
- 42:40Speaker 3: He's obviously very athletic, so is Nick though, and so
- 42:44Speaker 3: those like athletic competitions will do good at But do
- 42:47Speaker 3: you know any of Nick's like fears or does he
- 42:50Speaker 3: have any that are a parent.
- 42:52Speaker 2: No, not that I can think of. But I'm just
- 42:55Speaker 2: thinking that like the living situation is not going to
- 42:57Speaker 2: be ideal for him, like.
- 42:59Speaker 3: On a cot, going to the bathroom bucket.
- 43:01Speaker 2: And like the first episode of the first season, I
- 43:05Speaker 2: remember them being like so freaking dehydrated. They get like
- 43:09Speaker 2: one little canteen of water for the day. Yeah, so scary.
- 43:14Speaker 2: I think about how they asked us to do Stars
- 43:16Speaker 2: on Mars. They didn't. I felt like, that's like the
- 43:19Speaker 2: comparable show, but like it's way less strenuous. Okay, it's
- 43:25Speaker 2: the joke version of Yeah, starsar Wars is a joke
- 43:30Speaker 2: version of Special Forces? Did they ask you to do
- 43:33Speaker 2: Special Forces at all?
- 43:34Speaker 3: No?
- 43:36Speaker 2: You swear to me, I swear you know you're gonna
- 43:39Speaker 2: be asked for season three. If there's a season three.
- 43:41Speaker 3: I'm busy on a podcast. I don't have any time.
- 43:43Speaker 2: You have to you have to fill these shoes, Okay.
- 43:46Speaker 2: I Jared and I have asked each other how much
- 43:49Speaker 2: we'd have to get paid to go to Special Forces,
- 43:53Speaker 2: and well, I guess I don't know. I don't know.
- 43:58Speaker 2: I I have a number in my head. I'd have
- 44:01Speaker 2: a number. Do you have a number you just want
- 44:03Speaker 2: to do it? Would you just do it for free?
- 44:05Speaker 3: Hell?
- 44:06Speaker 2: No, I would not be really, No, I don't know.
- 44:09Speaker 2: That's the kind of thing that I feel like you
- 44:11Speaker 2: would do, because like you're you like things like this,
- 44:14Speaker 2: You're doing a triathlon that's basically human torture.
- 44:17Speaker 3: Yeah, there's one thing i'd do for free. One reality
- 44:19Speaker 3: show celebrities Golden Bachelor, No celebrities, coffee.
- 44:24Speaker 2: You already said that you do the Golden Bachelor for free.
- 44:26Speaker 3: I would, Yeah. I think I still you do too.
- 44:29Speaker 3: I think that's the offer still on the table. No,
- 44:33Speaker 3: I would not do this for free. It would take
- 44:36Speaker 3: me some time to think it through. I mean, it's tough,
- 44:39Speaker 3: and from hearing Hannah do her interviews, like it's hard
- 44:42Speaker 3: and it's strenuous and you're sick and you know. The
- 44:46Speaker 3: one thing you know me I would have no problem
- 44:48Speaker 3: with is the bathroom situation, Like sorry, like this is
- 44:51Speaker 3: the setup, Like I'm going to do my thing and
- 44:53Speaker 3: you guys are all going to have to be a
- 44:54Speaker 3: part of it. And if you don't like it, walk,
- 44:56Speaker 3: But I would have no problem with that. I would
- 44:58Speaker 3: have no problem with the sleeping arrangements because I love
- 45:01Speaker 3: to camp and I love to hike, and so I've
- 45:04Speaker 3: slept in a lot worse than a cot, you know,
- 45:07Speaker 3: in a big, old protected room. I'm not even gonna
- 45:11Speaker 3: say my fears out loud because if I do sign
- 45:12Speaker 3: up for this show, I feel like they're gonna pull
- 45:13Speaker 3: this interview back and just like stick me with them.
- 45:16Speaker 3: So yeah, there are things in my life that I
- 45:18Speaker 3: don't enjoy doing that I think this show does that
- 45:22Speaker 3: I would have a hard time with.
- 45:23Speaker 2: I'm gonna call you out all one of your fears
- 45:25Speaker 2: because I have the same fear. It would be caustrophobia
- 45:29Speaker 2: y like that would be getting us in like a
- 45:33Speaker 2: dungeon below sand Yeah.
- 45:34Speaker 3: I'd be done like I wouldn't. I would not function.
- 45:37Speaker 3: I would say, Okay, that was good, this was a
- 45:39Speaker 3: good run. I'm out.
- 45:41Speaker 2: Well that's what happens on Special Forces. Like people just
- 45:43Speaker 2: call themselves out.
- 45:45Speaker 3: Yeah, I know, and I would be really upset with myself,
- 45:47Speaker 3: especially if it was like week one. I'd be like,
- 45:49Speaker 3: you're such a weenie. But I I would have to
- 45:54Speaker 3: do it or I'd have a panic.
- 45:56Speaker 2: Better last, Nick Castile lasts so long I need to
- 45:59Speaker 2: watch like I want to watch him week to week. Also,
- 46:02Speaker 2: I think it's worth mentioning that Tom Sandoval is on here,
- 46:07Speaker 2: so like everybody's least favorite vander Pump Rules contestant, and
- 46:12Speaker 2: he says he's there because he deserves to be punished.
- 46:15Speaker 3: Brilliant, Yes he does.
- 46:18Speaker 2: There.
- 46:18Speaker 3: Hey, actually another big headline. This is just a crazy
- 46:21Speaker 3: couple of days. That's why we came out with this.
- 46:24Speaker 2: I was thinking this was our last headline, which is
- 46:25Speaker 2: why I was dragging it out. But holy crap, we
- 46:27Speaker 2: have another huge headline.
- 46:29Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 46:29Speaker 3: Gabby Wendy reveals she's been dating a woman for a
- 46:34Speaker 3: couple months, which is interesting because we were with her
- 46:38Speaker 3: less than a couple a couple of months.
- 46:40Speaker 2: Do you think it chos with her? Yes, we were
- 46:42Speaker 2: you with her? Yeah, for sure? Me too, you know
- 46:45Speaker 2: for certain?
- 46:46Speaker 3: No, I don't know for certain, Okay, but I would
- 46:48Speaker 3: imagine that she so. Gabby Wendy has came out publicly
- 46:54Speaker 3: that she is dating Robbie Hoffman, who is a comedian.
- 46:59Speaker 3: They been dating for a few months. Uh. They kept
- 47:03Speaker 3: it private, obviously, for the reasons that every couple keeps
- 47:06Speaker 3: it private. Here's the quote from Gabby. I always want
- 47:10Speaker 3: to live my truth and my story. So I've been
- 47:12Speaker 3: seeing someone for a couple months, and I've been keeping
- 47:15Speaker 3: it a little more private because it is a bigger
- 47:17Speaker 3: story and a bigger conversation because I'm dating a girl now.
- 47:23Speaker 3: She told this to the views on View. Yeah, yeah,
- 47:29Speaker 3: she gave the view this. Why did she give the
- 47:31Speaker 3: view this and not almost famous? Goodness, that's a big
- 47:34Speaker 3: that's a big plan.
- 47:35Speaker 2: I know.
- 47:36Speaker 3: But good for Gabby.
- 47:37Speaker 2: She chatted about it on the View and then she
- 47:39Speaker 2: posted pictures to her Instagram, lots of pictures two them together. Yeah,
- 47:45Speaker 2: congratulations to Gabby first fine for finding what seems to
- 47:48Speaker 2: be some love. And you told me before we started
- 47:50Speaker 2: the episode that you remember her saying that she like
- 47:53Speaker 2: has been sort of like into girls in the past,
- 47:55Speaker 2: or like has experimented.
- 47:57Speaker 3: I remember her saying that she, yeah, like she liked
- 48:01Speaker 3: girls like I Like, this wasn't a shocker to me
- 48:04Speaker 3: because I just in my head have remembered I can't
- 48:07Speaker 3: even point to the moment. I don't even know when
- 48:09Speaker 3: it was, but I just remember her saying like that
- 48:12Speaker 3: she had at least dated a girl or maybe kissed
- 48:14Speaker 3: a girl something like that. And so this wasn't like
- 48:17Speaker 3: a oh my gosh, never saw this coming, but it
- 48:20Speaker 3: is still a big headline.
- 48:22Speaker 2: Are you sure that wasn't her joking with Rachel all
- 48:24Speaker 2: the time that they should just date each other.
- 48:26Speaker 3: It could have been Honestly, I really could have been right, Yeah, yeah,
- 48:29Speaker 3: I don't know, could be.
- 48:31Speaker 2: All right, Well, Gabby does say this is a quote.
- 48:35Speaker 2: I think it was always a whisper in me to
- 48:37Speaker 2: date women, and it just got louder and louder, and
- 48:41Speaker 2: I didn't really know to pay attention to it. I
- 48:43Speaker 2: think when this happens, there's some shame obviously surrounding it.
- 48:47Speaker 2: I think I had to navigate through the shame. What
- 48:50Speaker 2: is it? Where is it coming from? But ultimately, ultimately
- 48:54Speaker 2: I always want to do just me, do what I want.
- 48:59Speaker 2: Figure it out later.
- 49:01Speaker 3: There we go a lot of big headlines today here
- 49:03Speaker 3: at the Almost Famous Podcast, all of them big headlines.
- 49:08Speaker 3: That's why he came out with the special episode of Headlines,
- 49:10Speaker 3: because well, I know, when we spoke earlier this week,
- 49:14Speaker 3: the headlines weren't a plenty, and hey, a Bachelor Nation
- 49:18Speaker 3: said it's not fair for the holmost famous not to
- 49:20Speaker 3: have a lot of headlines. Let's let's come out with some.
- 49:22Speaker 3: So they did, and here we are with another episode
- 49:25Speaker 3: of the Almost Famous Podcast. Until next time, when we'll
- 49:28Speaker 3: be breaking down charity season of the Bachelorette.
- 49:31Speaker 2: I've been Ben, I've been Ashley. Say you guys, thank
- 49:33Speaker 2: you so much.
